Speaker 1: And now move the sticks with Daniel, Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
0:06
Speaker 2: What's up? Everybody?
0:07
Speaker 3: Welcome to move the sticks, DJ, Bucky and Baldy with
0:10
Speaker 3: By the way, Baldy, where the heck.
0:12
Speaker 2: Is my Baldy Breakdown T shirt?
0:14
Speaker 4: Man?
0:14
Speaker 2: You know my address?
0:15
Speaker 3: Uh?
0:15
Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess, I mean, I guess I got to
0:17
Speaker 4: get these out before the holiday season begins. We got
0:19
Speaker 4: I gave you.
0:20
Speaker 2: Your suits back. What do you want from me?
0:26
Speaker 3: At least three of Baldy's like Neeman Marcus nice suits
0:30
Speaker 3: that when I.
0:31
Speaker 2: Cleaned out my locker. This is a couple of years ago.
0:33
Speaker 3: Somehow they got put in my locker and it didn't
0:35
Speaker 3: take me on to realize they don't fit me, and
0:37
Speaker 3: so yeah, they just hung in my locker. And so
0:39
Speaker 3: then it's like a like in this like a stealth bomber,
0:43
Speaker 3: like I snuck into the locker room one day and
0:45
Speaker 3: just put those suits right back in his in his locker.
0:47
Speaker 4: And I'm glad you saved them, DJ, because they were
0:51
Speaker 4: all layaway.
0:57
Speaker 2: Anyway, we got Baldi's got a sick Baldy Breakdown T shirts.
1:00
Speaker 2: We got to get those distributed.
1:01
Speaker 3: But let's jump into some games here, guys and knock
1:04
Speaker 3: some of these things out, Baldy. Let's start first of all,
1:07
Speaker 3: the Sunday nighter. I mean, I watched the first part
1:10
Speaker 3: of this game and you thought, Okay, yeah, Pittsburgh, Yeah, no,
1:12
Speaker 3: Pittsburgh's gonna they're gonna hold onto this division. You know,
1:15
Speaker 3: it's kind of been gift wrap form. They're not gonna
1:16
Speaker 3: blow it there in good spot here and then man,
1:19
Speaker 3: you go to the bathroom and come back and like,
1:20
Speaker 3: oh my gosh, the defense is rud it's ugly ahead
1:23
Speaker 3: once again.
1:23
Speaker 4: Yeah, well, they can't tackle. I mean it's been a
1:25
Speaker 4: problem now. I mean Tucker Kraft got one hundred and
1:28
Speaker 4: thirty one yards after you know, if it was one
1:30
Speaker 4: hundred and forty three yards, you know, after he caught
1:32
Speaker 4: the ball like it was one big play after another.
1:34
Speaker 4: And they were like simple flat routes. It's not like
1:36
Speaker 4: they throw the ball down the field. They're throwing a
1:39
Speaker 4: five yard flat route and nobody can tackle them. You
1:41
Speaker 4: can't get them into the ground. It was an issue
1:43
Speaker 4: against Cincinnati the last time they played. So I mean,
1:47
Speaker 4: but Jordan Love played, I mean, he played great. They
1:49
Speaker 4: protected very well. I mean, he didn't hear TJ's name
1:52
Speaker 4: or high Smith or her, but you hear anybody, Like
1:54
Speaker 4: they got the shots down to Justin Watson, they got
1:57
Speaker 4: their chunk yards and then they finished. They finished, you
2:00
Speaker 4: know when they had to finish, and it was an
2:02
Speaker 4: impressive second half offensively, and then Micah in the group,
2:06
Speaker 4: you know they got after like the one thing about
2:08
Speaker 4: Aaron and it happened last year. He's just in a
2:10
Speaker 4: hurry to get rid of the ball, so he's not
2:12
Speaker 4: gonna get big chunk plays. And once you get it
2:14
Speaker 4: out quick, and if he's got to hold it and
2:16
Speaker 4: Mike is there, Rashaun Gary, like, once they start chasing them,
2:20
Speaker 4: I mean you can basically say, okay, you know it's
2:23
Speaker 4: either going to be basically no yards or a throwaway.
2:25
Speaker 4: And that's kind of how the offense just stalled in
2:28
Speaker 4: the second half.
2:30
Speaker 1: You know what's interesting when you talk about both defenses.
2:33
Speaker 1: We talked about Pittsburgh's first Mike Tomlin in the off
2:36
Speaker 1: season when the preseason was really adamant about we got
2:40
Speaker 1: these guys so we could lock up and play Manda
2:42
Speaker 1: Man and I am a Manda Man fan, but we
2:44
Speaker 1: know in Man de Mand you have more explosive plays
2:48
Speaker 1: that you can give up because in space, one on
2:51
Speaker 1: one tackling is coveted at a premium, and if you
2:53
Speaker 1: don't get guys down, you see the big plays. And
2:56
Speaker 1: when I'm really looking at the stiller is is not
2:58
Speaker 1: only the tackling, but it's being able to be sticky
3:01
Speaker 1: with your guys down the field. You know, they have
3:03
Speaker 1: all these guys that they brought in. They thought they
3:05
Speaker 1: were going to have a shut them down defense, and
3:07
Speaker 1: we're seeing big play after big play, which is a problem. Conversely,
3:12
Speaker 1: the Green May Packers want to play visit and break.
3:15
Speaker 1: They want to keep the ball in front. They last
3:18
Speaker 1: year they wanted to bring zone pressure. But when you
3:20
Speaker 1: go and get a guy like Micah to go with
3:22
Speaker 1: Rashan Gary and some of the other guys they have
3:24
Speaker 1: up front, now you can have a four man rush,
3:27
Speaker 1: leave seven in coverage and just sit and zone and
3:30
Speaker 1: wait and watch. And when you have Aaron Rodgers who
3:33
Speaker 1: fears the pass rush with Michael Parson, those guys winning
3:36
Speaker 1: at one on ones, it is problematic because they can
3:39
Speaker 1: tell wait everything that you want to do without really
3:41
Speaker 1: putting their defense air wrists.
3:44
Speaker 3: They're three losses thirty one points, thirty three points thirty
3:47
Speaker 3: five points.
3:48
Speaker 2: I mean, this is not like, ah, the defense is
3:50
Speaker 2: falling off.
3:50
Speaker 3: This is like bad, bad and Baldi and I we're
3:54
Speaker 3: talking about this morning, Buck and talking about the tackling,
3:57
Speaker 3: and so I went into watch it. Okay, let's see
3:59
Speaker 3: who the culprit is. Well, man, there's a blood on
4:01
Speaker 3: a lot of people's hands. I mean, it is an
4:02
Speaker 3: equal opportunity. Everyone's missing tackles in coverage. Thornhill's missing tackles,
4:07
Speaker 3: Porter's missing tackles, that you name it, across the board.
4:10
Speaker 2: They could not tackle.
4:11
Speaker 3: And you guys are right literally just dumping the ball
4:14
Speaker 3: on the flat to this fricking tight end craft. They
4:16
Speaker 3: cannot get him on the ground, right, you could tackle him.
4:19
Speaker 3: So I mean that's that's a major, major, major problem.
4:22
Speaker 3: I don't know if that's getting better anytime soon.
4:25
Speaker 4: Well, you know, the one on one. I mean, I
4:28
Speaker 4: even if you go back to the Cincinnati game on
4:30
Speaker 4: Thursday night, I mean, you know they tried to play
4:32
Speaker 4: man coverage Chase.
4:33
Speaker 2: There's nobody in the picture with Chase from last week.
4:36
Speaker 3: You could freeze it on the All twenty two and
4:38
Speaker 3: there's he's the only body in the frame.
4:40
Speaker 4: Everybody it was Ramsey, it was you know, Sleigh, it
4:43
Speaker 4: was like you know Porter, they all lined up and
4:45
Speaker 4: he got beat and so you thought, okay, well, you
4:48
Speaker 4: know Green Bay doesn't have the same firepower. But you
4:51
Speaker 4: know they went play action, you know under center, play action,
4:54
Speaker 4: max protect. They ran their speedo routes down there. Watching
4:57
Speaker 4: got two big plays. Dob's gonna cut, you know. I mean,
5:01
Speaker 4: they did what they wanted to do offensively in the
5:04
Speaker 4: second half, and Pittsburgh they could not play catch up
5:08
Speaker 4: once they lost that lead.
5:09
Speaker 3: One thing I'll just add and we'll move on to
5:11
Speaker 3: the next game. If you're going to try and find
5:12
Speaker 3: some positive for Pittsburgh. Here, Roman Wilson's showing signs the
5:16
Speaker 3: last few weeks, and he did some nice things in
5:18
Speaker 3: this game. End up with four seventy four and a touchdown.
5:21
Speaker 3: A lot of quick hitters as you're referencing quick outs,
5:24
Speaker 3: but then you see, you know, hit a deep ball.
5:26
Speaker 3: He's open for ten seconds on the touchdown of Aaron
5:28
Speaker 3: just kind of took a while to get to him
5:30
Speaker 3: in the back of the end line there. But he's
5:32
Speaker 3: somebody who can give you some run after catch. He
5:33
Speaker 3: can give you, you know, some stuff down the field
5:35
Speaker 3: as well, So that was, you know, trying to find
5:38
Speaker 3: somebody to go pair up with DK. I think that's
5:40
Speaker 3: at least a positive from the Pittsburgh side of things.
5:42
Speaker 3: Let's say, let's buck, let's get to uh Man. I
5:45
Speaker 3: think I think the most impressive win of the weekend
5:49
Speaker 3: and that was Denver and what they did to Dallas
5:51
Speaker 3: forty four to twenty four just dismantled the Cowboys.
5:54
Speaker 5: Man, this mantle of defense can't stop the run or pass.
5:58
Speaker 1: I mean, they just had to figure out what they
6:00
Speaker 1: wanted to do and how they wanted to attack. But
6:03
Speaker 1: they give Sean Payton credit won they need to always
6:06
Speaker 1: just play in their throwback uniforms. I don't know why
6:08
Speaker 1: they would ever go back to their regular uniforms. The
6:09
Speaker 1: throwbacks are classic. It reminded me of being a kid
6:12
Speaker 1: watching Rick upchurch return punts come home from church, So
6:16
Speaker 1: I think they need to stay with that. But in
6:18
Speaker 1: watching the way they're able to run the football effectively.
6:21
Speaker 5: JK.
6:21
Speaker 1: Dobbins, R. J. Harvey getting busy. Bo Nick's having a
6:24
Speaker 1: terrific game, finding his rhythm. This is the offense that
6:28
Speaker 1: Sean Payton wants because it perfectly compliments how they played
6:33
Speaker 1: that suffocating defense on the other side.
6:38
Speaker 4: Chee Payton like he's ruthless man. You know, the Cowboys
6:41
Speaker 4: line up a free agent, you know Warner out there.
6:44
Speaker 4: They I mean they they lined they took turns lining
6:47
Speaker 4: up on them, including Pat Brian catches his first touchdown
6:50
Speaker 4: pass the season right before the end of the half.
6:52
Speaker 4: I mean, they went right after him, like every single guy,
6:55
Speaker 4: whether Troy Franklin or you know, Pat Bryan or they
7:00
Speaker 4: just abused him. They put them on the other side
7:03
Speaker 4: of the field after you know, the first half, it
7:06
Speaker 4: didn't make any difference. They found him and they just
7:09
Speaker 4: exploited it. But you know, the Cowboys don't you know,
7:13
Speaker 4: they don't really do anything well defensively, Like they don't
7:17
Speaker 4: even know, like just setting a simple edge so that
7:21
Speaker 4: every back that carries the ballge whether it's JK or RJ.
7:25
Speaker 4: They're not just like hitting the corners like these soft edges,
7:29
Speaker 4: you know, and then then it's just the run fits
7:31
Speaker 4: like nothing looks like it's being worked on on that side.
7:36
Speaker 4: You know. I know they've got a bunch of young
7:37
Speaker 4: guys playing. I get that, but still like they can't
7:40
Speaker 4: do the basics right now, just playing gap defense.
7:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, it goes back to you know, Bucky and I
7:45
Speaker 3: are up there at camp together Baldy and just watching
7:48
Speaker 3: the Rams carve them up like a turkey, and it
7:50
Speaker 3: was like, well, the Rams passing offense is really really good,
7:52
Speaker 3: or this secondary has got major major concerns for the Cowboys.
7:56
Speaker 3: Turns out a little bit of both, you know, when
7:58
Speaker 3: you get right down to it. But I want to
8:00
Speaker 3: touch on two things. One, the two young guys that
8:03
Speaker 3: stood out r J. Harvey, there's so much attention. We
8:06
Speaker 3: talked about it all in the lead up to the
8:08
Speaker 3: draft that Sean Payton used the term joker.
8:10
Speaker 2: He wanted to find his joker.
8:11
Speaker 3: He's always worked inside out in New Orleans, whether it
8:13
Speaker 3: was the back, the tight ends, the slot receivers, They've
8:15
Speaker 3: always kind of liked to work in that portion of
8:17
Speaker 3: the field. He wanted a mismatch player. And I saw
8:20
Speaker 3: a video of the day with Breeze and asked him
8:22
Speaker 3: who's the best weapon that he's ever played with, and
8:24
Speaker 3: he said scrolls because.
8:26
Speaker 2: Those are the matchups. Nobody can cover that guy.
8:28
Speaker 3: And now you've got somebody who's got the juice and
8:30
Speaker 3: the burst and RJ Harvey, they're going to figure out
8:33
Speaker 3: more ways to unlock him. But seeing him get loose
8:35
Speaker 3: a little bit, popping a run on a toss. He
8:37
Speaker 3: had seven for forty six, two touchdowns, So that's their joker.
8:41
Speaker 3: Then Troy Franklin, you mentioned his name briefly, Baldy going
8:43
Speaker 3: through his stuff just he's playing really good in instinctive,
8:48
Speaker 3: in space, like for a guy who was a speed
8:51
Speaker 3: guy coming out, he's figuring out ways to kind of
8:53
Speaker 3: work in soft spots and zones. And when he goes
8:57
Speaker 3: from the bunch formation across the four men and then
9:00
Speaker 3: he rounds about twenty five.
9:02
Speaker 4: Yards down the field into the end zone and never stopped.
9:05
Speaker 3: Nobody there, Yeah, nobody and nobody there, nobody there to
9:08
Speaker 3: touch him. That's why I just wrote down. I just
9:10
Speaker 3: wrote on my notes. I've got a bunch of stuff
9:11
Speaker 3: where he just kind of I don't label him as routes.
9:14
Speaker 3: I'm just like, there's just kind of a It was
9:17
Speaker 3: Mike Leach. Mike Leach's offense which was always just go grass, Yeah,
9:22
Speaker 3: go grab grass. Just find out where there's some open
9:24
Speaker 3: space and go grab it. But that that's what he's doing.
9:26
Speaker 3: So I went back and pulled up my Troy Franklin note,
9:29
Speaker 3: So he was coming out he was six oh one
9:31
Speaker 3: seven so just under six two one hundred and seventy
9:34
Speaker 3: six pounds, so rail Finn ran four four to one
9:37
Speaker 3: uh and my notes on him, tall, lean, explosive, he
9:40
Speaker 3: can win against press with quicks. He's sudden, he's clean
9:43
Speaker 3: out of brakes, a lot of fades, tracks, the ball easy,
9:46
Speaker 3: a lot.
9:46
Speaker 2: Of home runs, had some drop drops in traffic.
9:50
Speaker 3: But really, you know, we talk about like the we
9:52
Speaker 3: used to talk up the blood area like, you know,
9:54
Speaker 3: do you work in the blood area the field? That's
9:56
Speaker 3: not really what you You don't really need him to
9:58
Speaker 3: do that. He did not run in full speed and anybody.
10:00
Speaker 3: So he's able to get the ball vertically down the field.
10:03
Speaker 3: But I think Sean Payton and their group give him credit.
10:05
Speaker 3: They've got him to get a really good feel for
10:07
Speaker 3: working in some of these soft spots.
10:09
Speaker 4: Baldly Well, the soft spots were easy to find because.
10:13
Speaker 2: You know, they're plentiful. Yeah, I mean there's a.
10:16
Speaker 4: Lot of soft spots. DJ. But you know the touchdown
10:19
Speaker 4: that you were referenced here to Troy Franklin, like the
10:23
Speaker 4: Cowboys came Mark hespell Off off the edge the five
10:25
Speaker 4: band rushed like literally bow Nicks could have checked his
10:29
Speaker 4: snapchat right there, like you know, just seeing you like okay,
10:32
Speaker 4: like he had all day for that thing that it
10:35
Speaker 4: takes time. That's a route that too. Who used to
10:37
Speaker 4: throw to Tyreek Hill, you know, and you need time
10:40
Speaker 4: for that thing to go. And literally, I mean he
10:43
Speaker 4: he double pumped, he hitched. He had all kinds of
10:46
Speaker 4: time to make those So he dropped back twenty nine times,
10:49
Speaker 4: no sacks, one quarterback hit Like basically his uniform was
10:53
Speaker 4: just as clean at the end of the game as
10:55
Speaker 4: it was to start the game.
10:57
Speaker 3: I want to ask you both this and Buck hit
10:59
Speaker 3: it and then Baldy fall. But I saw Sean Payton
11:02
Speaker 3: after the game. I saw some of his sound and
11:04
Speaker 3: he said, you know, they really challenged their defense, that
11:06
Speaker 3: this was going to be a good offense that they
11:08
Speaker 3: were going up against. And he said, you know, I thought,
11:10
Speaker 3: I thought our defense got the better of their offense.
11:12
Speaker 3: And he goes then, of course on the other side,
11:14
Speaker 3: I mean, it wasn't even close like that. That was
11:16
Speaker 3: how like borderline arrogant that he talked about what they
11:19
Speaker 3: did to the Cowboy defense. But I want to ask you, guys,
11:23
Speaker 3: you both played in the league, and I know that
11:24
Speaker 3: some of the coaches you played for, but it seems
11:26
Speaker 3: to me Sean Payton is one of the most confident
11:29
Speaker 3: borderline cockey coaches in this league. And does that permeate
11:32
Speaker 3: through your team when the guy at the very top
11:34
Speaker 3: is that confident book?
11:36
Speaker 5: Uh yeah, I would say yes.
11:38
Speaker 1: And I would say the most confident coach that I
11:40
Speaker 1: ever played for was Marty Schottenheimer.
11:42
Speaker 5: There were times that he would.
11:43
Speaker 1: Just stand up a matter of fact, we say we're
11:46
Speaker 1: going to beat this team. We're gonna whoop them doing X,
11:48
Speaker 1: Y and Z. And depending on the maturity of your team,
11:51
Speaker 1: some teams can't handle getting the information being like, oh okay,
11:55
Speaker 1: coach says, we got it. We just need to follow
11:58
Speaker 1: the plan and this is what is going to be.
12:00
Speaker 1: And I think for Sean, I think Sean knows that
12:04
Speaker 1: the storm that's coming, and the storm is going to
12:06
Speaker 1: be the Kan City Chiefs and they're going to have
12:09
Speaker 1: to knock off to Can City Chiefs one or two
12:11
Speaker 1: times to be able to secure a division, and that
12:14
Speaker 1: is going to require an unbelievable level of confidence for
12:18
Speaker 1: a team that still is fairly young on both sides.
12:21
Speaker 5: Of the ball.
12:21
Speaker 1: I think he's trying to convey that to get them
12:24
Speaker 1: to step into that confidence that hey man, we're one
12:27
Speaker 1: of the heavyweights in AFC.
12:30
Speaker 3: Who was the most confident coach you played for?
12:34
Speaker 4: Well, I mean Landry was confident because we were so
12:36
Speaker 4: well prepared. So I mean, but you know he also
12:39
Speaker 4: wore us out with a lot like Marty did you
12:42
Speaker 4: know for all those years. I mean, they just Wearry
12:44
Speaker 4: out with the meetings and reparation. Eventually, you know, players
12:48
Speaker 4: just want to go play, you know. I mean you can't.
12:50
Speaker 4: You can't like cover every single stone, uncover every stone.
12:54
Speaker 4: But that's how Landry was. So we we you know,
12:56
Speaker 4: we were very well prepared for what we were going
12:58
Speaker 4: to do, and but he would out the plan every Wednesday.
13:01
Speaker 4: You know, this is what we need to do this
13:03
Speaker 4: week to win this game. And you know, and so
13:06
Speaker 4: like the plan was set on Wednesday and then you
13:09
Speaker 4: just perfected the plan all week long.
13:12
Speaker 3: Well, you can tell they've got a very confident team
13:14
Speaker 3: that's playing really well both sides of the ball.
13:15
Speaker 2: They're in Denver.
13:16
Speaker 4: But what's interesting about that game though, to me, DJ
13:19
Speaker 4: was Courtland Sutton is by far the number one receiver.
13:22
Speaker 4: He was like a decoy all day.
13:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, you didn't lead him exactly, Yeah, yeah, yeah, Yeah.
13:28
Speaker 3: It's tough though. You got to pick between the other
13:30
Speaker 3: three guys that are wide open that that that can
13:32
Speaker 3: be challenge for bocks a ball that you were at
13:38
Speaker 3: the Giant Philly game there, So I'll let you take
13:40
Speaker 3: the lead here.
13:41
Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, I mean the second place Aque went sixty five. Now,
13:45
Speaker 4: the longest run before that run all year long was
13:48
Speaker 4: eighteen yards and and so you know, we were you know,
13:52
Speaker 4: they blocked it. It was a perfectly blocked run, including
13:55
Speaker 4: DeVante Smith gets a good block on the corner. You know,
13:58
Speaker 4: Landon Dickerson looked healthy. But you know, they got to
14:01
Speaker 4: they unleashed the running game. It was like it like
14:03
Speaker 4: they had never done all year. But I remember talking
14:06
Speaker 4: to Patula before the game and I was just asking
14:08
Speaker 4: him about, you know, where's your toss sweeps, where's your
14:10
Speaker 4: pinning pools? And boy, they ran them right, and they
14:14
Speaker 4: ran them left, and you know, and they got some
14:16
Speaker 4: good blocks on the outside, and you know, they they
14:19
Speaker 4: turned to lose tank. Bigsby had one hundred and sat one.
14:22
Speaker 4: They even play sake one this you know, this fourth quarter.
14:25
Speaker 4: I mean, he could have had two hundred yards rushing,
14:27
Speaker 4: so you know, they uncorked that. But it's it's really
14:31
Speaker 4: the evolution of this offense. It started in Minnesota with
14:35
Speaker 4: play action passes with you know, Jalen under center getting
14:39
Speaker 4: some shots. They continued that. Then you got the pinning
14:42
Speaker 4: pool and the run game and here they are going
14:44
Speaker 4: to the bye week at six and two, and it's
14:47
Speaker 4: a tough schedule coming out, but you could see how
14:50
Speaker 4: this thing is just gradually coming together and they're going
14:54
Speaker 4: to be a juggernaut, you know, come the second half
14:57
Speaker 4: of the season.
14:58
Speaker 2: What's Jurgens? What's Jurgens at us? Is he is he?
15:01
Speaker 2: How long is he out?
15:03
Speaker 4: Well? I don't know how long he is out, but
15:06
Speaker 4: I'll say this this.
15:07
Speaker 3: Brett Toath, he pulled his butt off in this game.
15:10
Speaker 3: Now they have to Saque has to. He almost has
15:13
Speaker 3: to push him in the back a little bit because
15:14
Speaker 3: he's kind of waiting for him on some of those things.
15:16
Speaker 3: But they were moving him all over the place. And
15:17
Speaker 3: that's why I'm saying that that got the run game going.
15:20
Speaker 2: And I thought he.
15:20
Speaker 3: Played well, But then I can also look at it
15:22
Speaker 3: and say Jurgens is just so much quicker than him
15:25
Speaker 3: that I think that stuff some of those might even
15:27
Speaker 3: pop evy.
15:27
Speaker 4: I mean, durgons can make all those blocks that we
15:29
Speaker 4: saw Toat, But you know he's there. You know, he'd
15:33
Speaker 4: been a swing guard center and so he played some guard.
15:36
Speaker 4: But I thought his best position. He's got really strong hands.
15:40
Speaker 4: And I remember I was going into the tunnel after
15:44
Speaker 4: kind of doing a walk before the game, at the
15:46
Speaker 4: beginning of the beginning of the walk, and I see
15:48
Speaker 4: Stout down there and he's yelling. He's like, get those
15:51
Speaker 4: young pastors out here, like we got to go to work.
15:54
Speaker 4: And so Toat is one of those guys out of here.
15:56
Speaker 4: He loves working those guys out before the game. But
15:59
Speaker 4: he played really well. He's he's a good young player.
16:02
Speaker 2: Man boy.
16:03
Speaker 1: They got to ask you this because there's been so
16:05
Speaker 1: much made not only about the Eagles doing this, but
16:08
Speaker 1: more teams going under center, not only for the play
16:11
Speaker 1: action benefits, but how does it benefit the ring game?
16:15
Speaker 4: Well, I mean, because you don't know if it's going
16:18
Speaker 4: to be a runner pass and if you're going to
16:21
Speaker 4: hand it off. I think Saquan likes being eight yards deep, Bucky,
16:24
Speaker 4: like it just gives him a little bit more vision
16:26
Speaker 4: for cutback runs and things like that. So it's a
16:28
Speaker 4: good change rather than just being a point of entry
16:31
Speaker 4: back out of the shotgun. So I think it's good
16:33
Speaker 4: for the back and then you know, when he does
16:36
Speaker 4: get that, he's got a little better head of steam coming,
16:39
Speaker 4: you know, to hit the hole a little bit harder,
16:41
Speaker 4: a little bit faster than normal. And then I think
16:44
Speaker 4: that the play action pass off it right there. It
16:47
Speaker 4: just allows the routes to get deeper down the field,
16:49
Speaker 4: and you know, you can set your protections, whether it's
16:53
Speaker 4: max protection or chipping off the edges so that the
16:56
Speaker 4: quarterback can kind of set and you know, really get
16:59
Speaker 4: a pretty good aerial view down the field.
17:02
Speaker 3: Baldy, with the running backs you played with, I gotta
17:04
Speaker 3: believe stylistically, everybody's kind of their own style. But I
17:07
Speaker 3: was watching going through Barkley and Bigsby, and I thought
17:10
Speaker 3: Barkley kind of stayed true to the to the call,
17:13
Speaker 3: pressing it and then he even cut back was there.
17:14
Speaker 3: It was there, And I'm watching Bigsby and I'm like,
17:17
Speaker 3: he's just a pure daylight runner. I don't know where
17:19
Speaker 3: that wherever it's designed, wherever he sees or feels daylight,
17:22
Speaker 3: he will abandon that and go find daylight. As an
17:25
Speaker 3: offensive line, I mean they're both went over one hundred yards.
17:27
Speaker 3: They're more successful in this game. But it is you know,
17:30
Speaker 3: is it interesting just blocking for different guys how they
17:33
Speaker 3: hit things a little different?
17:34
Speaker 4: No, it is different. It's different. Like you know, Bigsby
17:37
Speaker 4: is he's kind of like a more like Gamewell's a
17:41
Speaker 4: good player and Gamewell was that role for the last
17:44
Speaker 4: four years. He's doing that in Pittsburgh now. But this
17:46
Speaker 4: guy has I think he's he's more of a bowling
17:50
Speaker 4: ball than Gainwell. He's more powerful and so, but he
17:53
Speaker 4: does explode out of his well, you know Bucky, you know,
17:56
Speaker 4: just down in Jacksville, but you know, he does explode.
17:59
Speaker 4: He had a couple kick off returns as well. But
18:02
Speaker 4: you know when he sees the daylight now he can
18:04
Speaker 4: he gets to it quickly.
18:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say the biggest thing for him down
18:08
Speaker 1: in Jacksonville, he had a hard time not being annointed
18:11
Speaker 1: the number one gal and I think it's very clear
18:14
Speaker 1: for him in Philadelphia to know, I'm not going to
18:17
Speaker 1: be the number one with Saquon Barkley there. So he's
18:20
Speaker 1: probably more accepting of the role as the number two.
18:24
Speaker 1: But I can't tell you this. He gives you a
18:26
Speaker 1: power back. He's physical and when he is dialed in
18:30
Speaker 1: and really taking care of the ball.
18:32
Speaker 5: He's a guy that can be a one A one
18:34
Speaker 5: B type player.
18:35
Speaker 1: And the Eagles being able to bring him in it
18:37
Speaker 1: allows them not have to change their offense when they
18:40
Speaker 1: want to go downhill, smash mouth Barkley, Bixby, Barkley, Bigsby.
18:44
Speaker 1: I think it's going to help Saquon Barkley more. They
18:47
Speaker 1: have a guy that is a starting caliber running back
18:51
Speaker 1: behind him instead of the drastic drop off that they
18:54
Speaker 1: used to have with a change of pace back.
18:56
Speaker 4: I'll say this about Jalen in the last two games now,
19:00
Speaker 4: he's got nine incompletions in seven touchdowns. Like people can
19:04
Speaker 4: they can debate, you know what ranking he is and
19:07
Speaker 4: quarterbacks like. All the guy does is he takes care
19:10
Speaker 4: of the football and he wins a lot of football games.
19:13
Speaker 4: And that's all he's ever done. And people might not
19:16
Speaker 4: like his style, might not look like some of the
19:18
Speaker 4: gun slingers in this league, but man, that guy is
19:22
Speaker 4: he's he's he's hard to knock out.
19:23
Speaker 3: Right now, I think they've kind of mastered and Sirianni,
19:28
Speaker 3: I give him a lot of credit for this. They've
19:29
Speaker 3: kind of mastered understand the difference between the regular season
19:32
Speaker 3: and the postseason. The regular seasons about your floor. It's
19:35
Speaker 3: don't make don't make mistakes, and play it that consist.
19:38
Speaker 3: You'll win a lot of games by not giving games
19:40
Speaker 3: away and rate yourself. Now you get in the postseason,
19:42
Speaker 3: there's going to be times where Jalen's goa to throw
19:44
Speaker 3: it more. You got to be more aggressive, and you've
19:45
Speaker 3: got to play it a little bit differently, which they've
19:47
Speaker 3: proven they can do that. But I think they've got
19:49
Speaker 3: a pretty good understanding of how to handle you know,
19:51
Speaker 3: talk about baseball like you had handle the one sixty
19:53
Speaker 3: two and then there's October. Those are two different sports
19:56
Speaker 3: to some degree. I think at the quarterback position, I
19:58
Speaker 3: think there's something to that as well. They've done a
20:00
Speaker 3: nice job with that. Let's say, quick break, we come back,
20:02
Speaker 3: We'll not got a couple more games, all right, Buck,
20:08
Speaker 3: This one I think is the I'll say the surprise.
20:12
Speaker 3: If Denver was the most impressive win of the week,
20:14
Speaker 3: this clearly was a surprise to me and not necessarily
20:17
Speaker 3: even that the Jets beat the Cincinnati Bengals, but the
20:20
Speaker 3: fact that the Jets hung thirty nine on the board
20:23
Speaker 3: with what we'd seen from their offense, that was a
20:26
Speaker 3: heck of a first win there for Aaron Glenn.
20:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, look a great first win. And I'll say this
20:31
Speaker 1: about the Jets, like coming in they had four games
20:33
Speaker 1: where they lost, they were within a score. A couple
20:36
Speaker 1: of those were two point games that they lost. And
20:38
Speaker 1: so even though the sky was seemingly falling in New York,
20:41
Speaker 1: if you really did a deep dive in terms of
20:43
Speaker 1: how they were playing, it wasn't as bad as it appeared.
20:47
Speaker 1: Cincinnati was like the perfect opponent for them because their
20:50
Speaker 1: defense is awful and their defense has been trash. And
20:54
Speaker 1: so at a time when your much milid quarterback was desperate,
20:58
Speaker 1: didn't even know if he was going to start, Rod
21:00
Speaker 1: Taylor was ruled out, he found a way to have
21:03
Speaker 1: some confidence, made a couple of plays, they got the
21:05
Speaker 1: ball the Brisaw's hands, and then they just made enough
21:08
Speaker 1: plays to win a game. Now, what does this do
21:11
Speaker 1: for them beyond that, I don't know, but I think
21:14
Speaker 1: it speaks a little bit about the resilience of some
21:17
Speaker 1: of the players.
21:18
Speaker 5: But more about the Cincinnati Bengals. What are we doing?
21:21
Speaker 1: They did a really good defensive coordinator walk out the door,
21:23
Speaker 1: and Al Golden is good. But man, they put a
21:26
Speaker 1: lot of blame on lou An Arumo, and all I
21:29
Speaker 1: do is I look over at Indianapolis and they are
21:31
Speaker 1: bawling out on defense.
21:35
Speaker 4: I watched this game. I had to do some breakdowns
21:37
Speaker 4: for the Jets. They've ran the ball thirty seven times
21:40
Speaker 4: for two hundred and fifty four yards, by far, the
21:42
Speaker 4: most all year. And this is Isaiah I don't know
21:46
Speaker 4: what you had on Isaiah Davis DJ coming out of
21:51
Speaker 4: South Dakosta State. Yeah, I mean that guy had the
21:54
Speaker 4: longest play from scrimmage for the Jets this year. I
21:57
Speaker 4: mean it was a weak side slant. He went fifty
22:00
Speaker 4: and he hit a burst. I didn't know we had
22:02
Speaker 4: that burst, but he went fifty and then a couple
22:05
Speaker 4: plays later, breeze halls. I got my I could do
22:07
Speaker 4: that too, and he went for thirty five, and so
22:10
Speaker 4: I thought they you know, they were down fifteen late
22:13
Speaker 4: in the third quarter, they're down fourteen in the fourth quarter,
22:16
Speaker 4: and they dang at that defense, and good luck, you know,
22:20
Speaker 4: telling me who their starters are the guys that are
22:22
Speaker 4: on the field in that game, because you got Azariah
22:25
Speaker 4: Thomas out there, you got Marinoa out there, you got
22:28
Speaker 4: a lot of guys that you know, I don't think
22:31
Speaker 4: people know who they are. But they got two stops
22:33
Speaker 4: at the end of the game. They got the ball
22:35
Speaker 4: back to the offense, you know. I mean that's Joe
22:37
Speaker 4: Flacco and Jamar and t you know, the whole group
22:39
Speaker 4: out there, and they made two stops to go down
22:42
Speaker 4: there and do it. They got their two point conversions.
22:45
Speaker 4: Breece popped a twenty seven yard touchdown run to cut
22:48
Speaker 4: it to you know, one touchdown. And you know, I
22:51
Speaker 4: don't know really who some of these receivers are. Tyler
22:53
Speaker 4: Smith and you know some of these guys that they
22:55
Speaker 4: had out there. But I mean Justin hit him on
22:58
Speaker 4: in stride a couple of times.
22:59
Speaker 3: Man, I gotta find what year this is, because now
23:02
Speaker 3: it's gonna bug me because I know I've got him here.
23:04
Speaker 2: What Isaiah, it's Isaiah Davis, right.
23:06
Speaker 4: Yeah, Davis. He was He came out with Rayln Allen,
23:11
Speaker 4: so he was last.
23:12
Speaker 3: Four, twenty four, twenty four, all right, Now, now I'm
23:16
Speaker 3: gonna find him, right now I'm thinking up here.
23:18
Speaker 4: You might have been third round, third or fourth round DJ.
23:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, Isaiah Davis. Right here, here we go.
23:23
Speaker 3: Uh six oh two, two hundred and eighteen pounds, ran
23:27
Speaker 3: four five seven Uh uh choppy feet, lateral quicks. They
23:32
Speaker 3: use him in some wildcat stuff in the red zone.
23:34
Speaker 3: Can bounce off tackles, runs a little high, but he'll
23:36
Speaker 3: step through, attacking smother linebackers and pass pro So that was, uh,
23:42
Speaker 3: that was some of my notes on damn.
23:45
Speaker 4: They called a play on a shallow cross for him
23:47
Speaker 4: on like third and seven, like one of those you know,
23:50
Speaker 4: you know crossers like two from one st one from
23:53
Speaker 4: the other and you know, just ran through some traffic.
23:55
Speaker 4: They called to play for the guy, you know on
23:57
Speaker 4: the spot. I'm like, all right, good call.
24:00
Speaker 2: You know, you know we used to call it. We
24:01
Speaker 2: used to call that. Uh, we used to call that bopper.
24:04
Speaker 3: So you'd have like the backs going opposite, so you'd
24:06
Speaker 3: have like a back or a tight end, a tight
24:07
Speaker 3: end in a back, and so they'd be going like this,
24:09
Speaker 3: so you'd read it. You'd have a little sit route
24:11
Speaker 3: over the middle of the field bald. Then it was
24:13
Speaker 3: just hey, if it's zone, I'm gonna just take the
24:15
Speaker 3: whoever's sitting down here, and if it's man, you're gonna
24:17
Speaker 3: get a little bit of a rub there. I missed
24:19
Speaker 3: more than my fair share of that back, just wide
24:21
Speaker 3: open out there in a flat, simple simple throw. Hey,
24:27
Speaker 3: either one, raise your hand if you want to take
24:29
Speaker 3: this one, though, how do you how do you go
24:32
Speaker 3: in this ballgame and have one quarterback hit when you're
24:35
Speaker 3: the Cincinnati Bengals. They touched the quarterback one time in
24:39
Speaker 3: this game. I know we've talked about the coordinator thing.
24:41
Speaker 3: I know we've talked about Okay, we've got some roster stuff,
24:43
Speaker 3: but that almost speaks to me like it's a cultural
24:46
Speaker 3: issue a little bit like how hard are you guys playing.
24:48
Speaker 3: I don't care who you got up there, you got
24:50
Speaker 3: to be able touch the quarterback more than once.
24:52
Speaker 4: They got two rookie linebackers in there right now. Trey Henderson,
24:56
Speaker 4: if he played, nobody you would not know that he played.
24:59
Speaker 4: He was out there, but I mean he had no
25:01
Speaker 4: impact whatsoever. I mean, everybody had been beating for Shano
25:05
Speaker 4: the last couple of weeks, like he's really struggled out
25:07
Speaker 4: there in pass protection, but he didn't have any problem
25:09
Speaker 4: locking guys up and you know, I thought the they
25:14
Speaker 4: went max they maxed it up a little bit. That
25:16
Speaker 4: kind of helped. But I mean, you didn't see you
25:19
Speaker 4: didn't see any of those guys make and really any
25:21
Speaker 4: kind of blitzes or anything where you know, just getting
25:24
Speaker 4: some speed to the quarterback just a free hitter. You
25:26
Speaker 4: didn't see any kind of overloads like that. But maybe
25:29
Speaker 4: they're sitting with a fourteen fifteen point lead and in
25:32
Speaker 4: the third quarter thing and we'll just keep it in
25:33
Speaker 4: front of us and you know, we'll just rush forward.
25:36
Speaker 4: I mean, that was part of the idea until you know,
25:38
Speaker 4: until it was too late.
25:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, But in that even in that, they don't play
25:45
Speaker 1: like they need to play. In a division that is
25:47
Speaker 1: known for being rough and rugged, the Bengals don't necessarily
25:50
Speaker 1: bring that all the time and that effort, that energy,
25:53
Speaker 1: and I know we eventually talked about Baltimore it is
25:56
Speaker 1: the day to more. But that has to be there
25:58
Speaker 1: when you're in these critical situations. They're not at a
26:01
Speaker 1: point where they can take a game off and say,
26:04
Speaker 1: oh we still go go to the playoffs. So the
26:06
Speaker 1: urgency has to be there, particularly on the defense that's
26:08
Speaker 1: playing against a very a struggling quarterback.
26:11
Speaker 5: You got to get after.
26:13
Speaker 2: I'll give it.
26:13
Speaker 3: I'll give the fullback who is it Beck for nice
26:17
Speaker 3: blocks in that game too, on some of those big runs.
26:19
Speaker 3: I thought they're tight ends hung in there and blocked
26:21
Speaker 3: pretty well.
26:22
Speaker 4: We had talked about, you know, the half back pass
26:25
Speaker 4: Bries Hall to Mason Taylor. I mean, that was that
26:29
Speaker 4: was too.
26:29
Speaker 3: Easy of a joke, because when the owner comes out
26:31
Speaker 3: and says, we can't complete a pass, and then here's
26:33
Speaker 3: Brice Hall throwing a touchdown to win you.
26:34
Speaker 4: It was along the uglier passes I've seen, but he
26:37
Speaker 4: gave Mason Taylor a chance.
26:39
Speaker 3: He finished it too. All right, let's get one more game.
26:41
Speaker 3: We'll send Baldy on his way here Chicago Baltimore again. Baldi,
26:45
Speaker 3: we were chatting this morning. I we can go wherever
26:48
Speaker 3: you want to go. We can go good Baltimore defense,
26:50
Speaker 3: we can go bad Bears. Quarterback play wherever you want
26:53
Speaker 3: to go.
26:54
Speaker 4: I mean, I'll start like Snoop puntley Man. Snoop played great,
26:58
Speaker 4: you know, and me and he had ten really good
27:02
Speaker 4: throws in that game, and he got it through all
27:03
Speaker 4: the wide receivers. They they kind of pulled out you know,
27:08
Speaker 4: like Keaton Mitchell was kind of a forgotten guy all
27:11
Speaker 4: year long. WI He's either nobody knows how fast he
27:17
Speaker 4: is because they take the wrong angles, but he turns
27:20
Speaker 4: the corner three different times in that game, one for
27:22
Speaker 4: twenty five yards, pops a run on the outside. Then
27:27
Speaker 4: you know, you got Charlie Kohlar, who's doing the old
27:29
Speaker 4: you know, just sneaking across the formation and a wide
27:33
Speaker 4: opening the end zone. And then you got Nuke, who
27:35
Speaker 4: basically has been a forgotten guy. But on third and
27:38
Speaker 4: seven with a one score game, they throw back shoulder
27:41
Speaker 4: to Nuke and he comes up with a big play
27:43
Speaker 4: to extend the drive and play keep away from Chicago.
27:46
Speaker 4: I thought that was all really impressive. And then they
27:49
Speaker 4: blitzed the hell out of Caleb. I mean, like, you know,
27:51
Speaker 4: whether it was rokwand or whether it was Hamilton, Like
27:54
Speaker 4: they got after pretty good, you know, and because even
27:59
Speaker 4: Mike Green got his first. But I thought they got
28:01
Speaker 4: after Kale pretty good and never really let them get comfortable.
28:06
Speaker 1: You know what I liked about the Baltimore Ravens is
28:08
Speaker 1: they got back to business in terms of who they are.
28:10
Speaker 1: And I always feel like there are certain franchises that
28:13
Speaker 1: when they're back into a corner, they go back to
28:15
Speaker 1: the identity that's been long established in their franchise. They
28:19
Speaker 1: ran the football, they played rough and rugged defense, they
28:22
Speaker 1: got after it.
28:23
Speaker 5: It appeared to the defensive plan.
28:24
Speaker 1: Was very simple, so they could get back to playing
28:26
Speaker 1: fast and physical, and I love that. The only question
28:30
Speaker 1: that I ever have about Baltimore Ravens is why would
28:33
Speaker 1: you go get a backup quarterback that stylistically is so different.
28:37
Speaker 5: Than we're starting quarterbacks?
28:39
Speaker 1: Because then you see Snoop Puntley playing the offense that
28:42
Speaker 1: was originally built for Lamar Jackson, and the offense continues
28:45
Speaker 1: to roll. I just wonder what the thought process was,
28:49
Speaker 1: because it never really, it never really logically fit why
28:53
Speaker 1: Cooper Rush would be the backup to Lamar Jackson when
28:57
Speaker 1: Snoop Unley and other athletic quarterbacks been serviceable fits behind him.
29:03
Speaker 5: Yeah.
29:03
Speaker 3: I think it's a great point. I haven't really people
29:06
Speaker 3: heard people talk much about it either. I think it's
29:07
Speaker 3: an excellent point. And two things from me on this.
29:11
Speaker 3: Number One, I don't think you can overstate how important
29:14
Speaker 3: it was on the first drive to get a stop
29:16
Speaker 3: because Chicago moved right down the field and that's Ben Johnson,
29:20
Speaker 3: that is his mo man. They come out the gates
29:22
Speaker 3: wherever he is, They come out the gates smoking, and
29:24
Speaker 3: you got a Ravens defense. It's lacking in confidence. You
29:27
Speaker 3: get a lot of pieces back. Roquan being back in
29:29
Speaker 3: there was huge. We'll get to that. But for them
29:31
Speaker 3: to march right down the field and then I believe
29:33
Speaker 3: Chicago had a penalty inside the ten that maybe bumped
29:36
Speaker 3: them back a little bit.
29:37
Speaker 2: They ended up getting that.
29:37
Speaker 3: I think that's where they got the sack and they
29:40
Speaker 3: and they get a stop on that first series force
29:42
Speaker 3: of three. So that was huge to me. It was
29:44
Speaker 3: just kind of like, Okay, it's not a here we
29:45
Speaker 3: go again. We can't stop anybody. Take the air out
29:48
Speaker 3: of the of the balloon, so to speak. And then
29:50
Speaker 3: Rokuan Baldi we you know, we were talking about this morning.
29:54
Speaker 3: That was one of the more fun watches for me
29:56
Speaker 3: this morning was going through and watching what he did.
29:58
Speaker 2: I know you got a chance to see him too,
29:59
Speaker 2: but he's he is.
30:00
Speaker 3: A you know we talk about force multipliers like, it's
30:03
Speaker 3: not only what he does, it's what he brings.
30:05
Speaker 2: But it was impressive.
30:06
Speaker 4: Yeah, he let him out. He let him up pretty good.
30:09
Speaker 4: That had been a pretty good running attack. They popped
30:11
Speaker 4: a couple runs, but you know, Manong Guy and DeAndre Swift,
30:16
Speaker 4: there wasn't the lanes that they had been getting the
30:18
Speaker 4: last two games. When Swift went over one hundred yards
30:20
Speaker 4: and both previous games, I thought the play of the
30:23
Speaker 4: game was was Nate Wiggins, though, I mean they only
30:26
Speaker 4: have two interceptions all year. Wiggins has it. It's a
30:29
Speaker 4: dig route to Doomsay and Caleb's looking at him all
30:32
Speaker 4: the way. He's got good time and Wiggins, I mean
30:35
Speaker 4: he I don't know what he ran.
30:37
Speaker 2: Did he want to two?
30:39
Speaker 4: Yeah, you see too, because he's done his upfield shoulder
30:42
Speaker 4: buck and he's trailing him and then you just see
30:45
Speaker 4: this burst and he runs right in front of a
30:47
Speaker 4: Doomsay and that set him up for you know, it
30:49
Speaker 4: was a one score game. It's a second down play.
30:52
Speaker 4: You can stop him right there in Chicago's going to
30:54
Speaker 4: get good field positioning twenty three sixteen and that really
30:58
Speaker 4: turned the whole game around right there. Or two eight,
31:01
Speaker 4: well too eight That looked for to eight.
31:03
Speaker 1: And and here's the thing, because normally you end up
31:06
Speaker 1: being critical to the wide receiver for drifting up the field.
31:10
Speaker 1: But I can't even say that they ran a bad watch.
31:12
Speaker 1: It was nice and flat. It was a great play
31:15
Speaker 1: by Nate Wiggins to do it. And even though people
31:18
Speaker 1: have talked about Caleb and the throw, the throw wasn't
31:21
Speaker 1: off the mark. I felt like it was a better
31:23
Speaker 1: play than it was, just a great play by Nate Wiggins.
31:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you could. I mean you're talking about
31:29
Speaker 3: a maybe a foot could have been a foot more
31:33
Speaker 3: out in front. But I think he gets it either way.
31:34
Speaker 3: Because Wiggins was tracking it so well, he had to
31:37
Speaker 3: back in the flat.
31:38
Speaker 2: He could have taken it. I can see.
31:40
Speaker 3: Just to me, we always talk about this Baldy Bucky,
31:43
Speaker 3: and I always go back to what the coach that
31:45
Speaker 3: I had would always take the quarterbacks before the game.
31:47
Speaker 3: We'd always walk the field, and so we'd always say, like, okay,
31:50
Speaker 3: we'll start. We're starting our own like five. Okay, we
31:53
Speaker 3: got a possession that starts here. The first thing is
31:55
Speaker 3: we're getting the first down. To help the punter, we're
31:57
Speaker 3: extra cautious with the ball. He kind of moved out. Okay,
31:59
Speaker 3: we're in the middle of the field. We might be
32:00
Speaker 3: thinking about a shot. Okay, now, we're in here, don't
32:02
Speaker 3: don't take a sack. Well, weird field will range like that,
32:05
Speaker 3: just like a situation. I'm hoping that Caleb, the more
32:08
Speaker 3: he's in these situations, he's going to realize, Okay, like,
32:11
Speaker 3: what's a one score game. We got a chance to
32:13
Speaker 3: go down and get the league. One thing we got
32:14
Speaker 3: to do is we gotta get a first down before
32:16
Speaker 3: we get a touchdown. Let's not get greed. I thought
32:18
Speaker 3: he was pressing, pushing that ball a little bit instead
32:21
Speaker 3: of just taking the back. Let's get a first down,
32:23
Speaker 3: you know what I mean? Like that, I think that
32:24
Speaker 3: I'm hopeful because some of this stuff keeps popping.
32:27
Speaker 2: Up with him.
32:27
Speaker 3: I'm hoping that it's just an experienced thing and he's gonna,
32:30
Speaker 3: you know, he's going to kind of learn and grow
32:32
Speaker 3: from it.
32:33
Speaker 4: Now. You see that the talent does show, like some
32:35
Speaker 4: of the throws he made getting out of a jam
32:38
Speaker 4: and on the run like you I mean, and some
32:41
Speaker 4: of his movement is like crazy, but it's just not
32:44
Speaker 4: Sometimes just the easy throws he makes it difficult.
32:48
Speaker 2: Yeah he had, he had a deep ball he missed.
32:50
Speaker 2: He had.
32:51
Speaker 3: Yeah, look there's there are you can cut up ten
32:53
Speaker 3: plays and show ten huge throws, big time throws. But
32:56
Speaker 3: then there's just some of those layups you just want
32:57
Speaker 3: to see him make it, including towards the end of
32:59
Speaker 3: the game when he changes armor angal for I know,
33:01
Speaker 3: they necessarily needed to change his arm angle on that one,
33:04
Speaker 3: and the ball misses a Doonsday who's wide open in
33:06
Speaker 3: the back of the end zone. But he continued to
33:08
Speaker 3: a Doonesay continue to play well. He had seven for
33:10
Speaker 3: a buck fourteen. He's on pace for eleven hundred yards
33:12
Speaker 3: and twelve touchdowns. So Roman Dunsay's having a really nice
33:16
Speaker 3: year there. But that's a big win for the Ravens
33:17
Speaker 3: and all of a sudden, this team that was one
33:19
Speaker 3: in five.
33:20
Speaker 2: You look up in this.
33:21
Speaker 3: Division and how Pittsburgh's playing in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and you're like, oh,
33:24
Speaker 3: you guys might have left open back in there.
33:27
Speaker 4: You know you got your card back in there. Now,
33:30
Speaker 4: like all of a sudden, you can see this thing.
33:32
Speaker 4: You can see the Ravens coming out of this crypt.
33:34
Speaker 4: I mean it's week to week, but you can see
33:36
Speaker 4: them coming out of this thing right now.
33:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, no question, Baldy. Last thing. Then I'll let you
33:40
Speaker 2: run the U this league this year.
33:44
Speaker 3: We were talking about the Patriots, and we'll get to
33:45
Speaker 3: them and tomorrow's episode of Bucky and Myself. But the
33:48
Speaker 3: schedule this year, maybe more so than any other, there's
33:51
Speaker 3: a there's a good number of bad teams, and your
33:53
Speaker 3: schedule is an important factor and how far you're going
33:56
Speaker 3: to go this year, some of these teams on the
33:58
Speaker 3: express right to the playoffs.
34:00
Speaker 4: Well, New England's right in the middle of it right now,
34:03
Speaker 4: you know, because you know they they've got they just
34:05
Speaker 4: whipped Cleveland, you know, and Atlanta is that you know,
34:09
Speaker 4: they got them at home and you could just see
34:10
Speaker 4: them stack at these wins. They got a big game
34:12
Speaker 4: in Tampa, you know, and then they got to Jets
34:15
Speaker 4: in Cincinnati. Like, you know, they're seeing some of these
34:17
Speaker 4: teams that are at the bottom of the you know,
34:19
Speaker 4: just the bottom of the barrel right now, but you know,
34:23
Speaker 4: you get one like I don't know what Atlanta I
34:25
Speaker 4: got to watch Atlanta heads, I don't. I don't want
34:27
Speaker 4: to jump ahead of myself here, but yeah, they've had
34:30
Speaker 4: some real stinkers and clunkers here short the course of
34:32
Speaker 4: the season.
34:34
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's to say the least. All right, Hey, this
34:36
Speaker 3: has been fun. Baldi love these mondays, each and everybody
34:38
Speaker 3: can appreciate your time.
34:39
Speaker 2: Man, we're seeing their ship well bucket. It's always great
34:41
Speaker 2: to have baldy man.
34:42
Speaker 3: Good chance to uh to break these games down and
34:45
Speaker 3: kind of a different week, right, we didn't have quite
34:47
Speaker 3: as many games, so a chance to lock in on
34:50
Speaker 3: the on the ones we did have.
34:52
Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, And with a with a smalls slate, smaller ben,
34:55
Speaker 1: you're able to kind of dive a little deeper into
34:57
Speaker 1: those games because you had a chance to see all
34:59
Speaker 1: of those games instead of flipping around. So it was
35:01
Speaker 1: a great weekend, uh, And I'm looking forward to more
35:04
Speaker 1: five weeks so we can kind of narrow focus a
35:07
Speaker 1: little bit.
35:07
Speaker 2: Yeah.
35:08
Speaker 3: And by the way, in the UH file, forty or
35:10
Speaker 3: so minutes we've been doing this, I don't think a
35:12
Speaker 3: college coach was fired, So you know, hey, they made
35:14
Speaker 3: it forty minutes without somebody getting whacked. Good night dropping
35:17
Speaker 3: like flies, brother, DJ.
35:20
Speaker 5: There are a lot of great jobs. Who's gonna take
35:24
Speaker 5: all these jobs?
35:25
Speaker 3: Like apparently Lane gets all of them. I think Lane's
35:27
Speaker 3: coaching fourteen next year.
35:30
Speaker 1: Who are going to get all of these jobs? It's
35:33
Speaker 1: crazy because if it's not Lane, it's Marcus Freeman. They
35:36
Speaker 1: keep citing it. I'm like, Marcus Freeman is going to
35:38
Speaker 1: leave your.
35:38
Speaker 5: Name another name? Yeah, so what what are we talking about?
35:44
Speaker 3: No, it's a good day to be Clark Lee. I
35:47
Speaker 3: promise you that. It's a you hear his name too.
35:50
Speaker 3: Now they're doing messing around. So I know one thing.
35:54
Speaker 3: These a lot of dudes are going to get opportunities
35:57
Speaker 3: for jobs, or they're gonna get opportunities for raises. They
36:00
Speaker 3: are and that is a good time to be a
36:02
Speaker 3: good college.
36:03
Speaker 5: Coach right now. That's a good spot to be.
36:05
Speaker 2: In for no question. All right, that'll do it for
36:08
Speaker 2: us today. We'll see it tomorrow right here on. Move
36:10
Speaker 2: the sticks.
36:12
Speaker 5: Mhm.
