- 0:08Speaker 1: Is it candle and vice?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Or sugar and spice?
- 0:12Speaker 3: It's Naughty Boy. Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Welcome to the Naughty But Nice Show. I'm your host,
- 0:18Speaker 3: Rob Shooter, and it's Tuesday, which means our dear friend
- 0:21Speaker 3: Delaina Dixon joins us. Hey, Miss D, are you there?
- 0:25Speaker 2: Oh, yes.
- 0:26Speaker 1: It was a long night, but I am here.
- 0:28Speaker 3: A long night, but a fabulous night. Last night, Delaina
- 0:31Speaker 3: and I, we don't often get invited, or that isn't
- 0:34Speaker 3: quite true. We do get invited to the same events,
- 0:36Speaker 3: but I don't really go to many of I'm thrilled.
- 0:41Speaker 3: And if you're listening, publicists, event people, please keep inviting me.
- 0:46Speaker 3: And I promise I'm going to try and get better
- 0:47Speaker 3: at this. But last night was a really special event.
- 0:50Speaker 3: It was the 41st annual Great Sports Legend Dinner. Now,
- 0:53Speaker 3: as you know, I'm not the biggest sports fan, but
- 0:55Speaker 3: even I recognize there was some Hall of Famers there.
- 0:58Speaker 3: There were some world champions. There was Olympic gold medalist.
- 1:02Speaker 3: There was Gloria Estefan, who was the emcee. And they
- 1:05Speaker 3: raised millions of dollars for research and treatment. for paralysis
- 1:09Speaker 3: and neurological diseases and disorders. We forget that Gloria Estefan
- 1:15Speaker 3: nearly did not walk after that horrific crash on her
- 1:19Speaker 3: buzz in the 90s. She said this organisation helped her
- 1:23Speaker 3: get back on her feet. And then my favourite person
- 1:26Speaker 3: that I met, Misty, apart from you, who I love
- 1:28Speaker 3: to see out and about, the Gronk. Do you know
- 1:31Speaker 3: who he is? I know him because he's Tom Brady's
- 1:34Speaker 3: best friend. Oh, yeah. I kept pointing at him across
- 1:37Speaker 3: the room. I have like a crush on him. It's just,
- 1:39Speaker 3: he could pick me up. His hands are like shovels.
- 1:42Speaker 3: He could carry me around the room. It was a
- 1:45Speaker 3: fabulous night and a good cause too. And Train, Train performed.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Wow. And I love that you were looking in every
- 1:51Speaker 2: corner for a husband for me. Because, you know, it's
- 1:53Speaker 2: a bunch of sports people. I know.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Rob was just like, you, maybe you, maybe you.
- 1:57Speaker 3: We'll tell the truth. We took a few phone numbers,
- 1:59Speaker 3: Miss D.
- 2:00Speaker 1: We did.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Do you want to tell more? No, absolutely not.
- 2:04Speaker 1: We'll wait to see.
- 2:05Speaker 2: You know, a woman never tells until the ring is
- 2:07Speaker 2: on her finger.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Put a ring on it. They've been doing this for
- 2:11Speaker 3: 40 years. And so far, the gala has raised over
- 2:14Speaker 3: $ 130 million. So thank you for inviting us to the
- 2:20Speaker 3: 41st annual Great Sports Legend dinners. Miss D, we have
- 2:23Speaker 3: a life. We're so lucky.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We are very lucky.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Very, very lucky. OK, let's jump into the show. What
- 2:29Speaker 3: time is it, my friends? It is tea time. So
- 2:32Speaker 3: we have a royal spat at the top of the show.
- 2:34Speaker 3: There's a split here. Andrew is in a legal fight.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Let me explain. So Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, his
- 2:43Speaker 3: decision to take legal action against the British police. You
- 2:46Speaker 3: heard that right. Remember, he was arrested. Remember, he was
- 2:48Speaker 3: pulled in. Remember, he was questioned. Well, now... he is
- 2:51Speaker 3: going to take legal action against the police officers that
- 2:54Speaker 3: came after him. This is where things get very complicated.
- 2:58Speaker 3: My insiders tell me that King Charles privately, not publicly,
- 3:01Speaker 3: is backing his younger brother's right to fight, while William
- 3:05Speaker 3: wants absolutely nothing to do with this. Let me just
- 3:10Speaker 3: give you a few details. Andrew... He's launched a legal
- 3:14Speaker 3: challenge over the warrants used to search his two properties
- 3:18Speaker 3: in February. So way back in February, remember when he
- 3:20Speaker 3: was searched, the police turned up and they searched? He's
- 3:23Speaker 3: saying there's warrants. There's some issues with those warrants. Now,
- 3:27Speaker 3: he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct, of public misconduct
- 3:32Speaker 3: in office. And this relates, it's all connected to his
- 3:35Speaker 3: relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. We want the laws back. to
- 3:40Speaker 3: be applied fairly to everybody we do want that however
- 3:45Speaker 3: it does appear to me as if this former prince
- 3:47Speaker 3: has been getting away with stuff allegedly for a very
- 3:50Speaker 3: very long time and now he's going to go after
- 3:54Speaker 3: the police i'm so sick of people politicians princes people
- 3:59Speaker 3: in privilege who attack the system when they don't like
- 4:03Speaker 3: that they've been caught then they go after the prosecutors
- 4:07Speaker 3: It's really exhausting. Where are you on this, Miss Day?
- 4:11Speaker 1: Oh, Lord.
- 4:12Speaker 2: OK, you've been allegedly accused of doing things that are
- 4:16Speaker 2: not right. And now you want to sue the police.
- 4:21Speaker 2: My mind says keep your mouth shut.
- 4:24Speaker 1: S-H-U-T. Why are you bringing this up?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Because all it makes it do is that the TikTok
- 4:30Speaker 2: detectives dig deeper and things that you were like, whew, at.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Least that didn't come out. They'll be like, you know what?
- 4:40Speaker 1: And it's the police. They have a lot of information.
- 4:42Speaker 2: They might spill something, allegedly, themselves. So why would you
- 4:48Speaker 2: poke the bear?
- 4:49Speaker 3: William gets it. So privately, the king supports Andrew's challenge.
- 4:54Speaker 3: And he wants to believe that the warrant was properly issued.
- 4:57Speaker 3: And if it wasn't, he thinks that's a problem. The
- 5:00Speaker 3: king is actually somebody who really, very much so, is
- 5:04Speaker 3: driven by duty. He always wants to do the right thing,
- 5:07Speaker 3: even in a situation that is all wrong. Epstein, Andrew,
- 5:10Speaker 3: it is all so wrong. But even in a wrong situation,
- 5:13Speaker 3: he likes the law to be followed beat by beat.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Charles is staying out of this as a public debate.
- 5:20Speaker 3: There's going to be no statement defending him. There's going
- 5:22Speaker 3: to be no commentary. from the palace but he does
- 5:24Speaker 3: also to see andrew as his brother and he believes
- 5:28Speaker 3: andrew is entitled to defend himself through the courts like
- 5:32Speaker 3: anybody else but he also understands how toxic this all
- 5:35Speaker 3: is for the monarchy the person who really understands that
- 5:38Speaker 3: is william sources tell me quote william thinks andrew should
- 5:41Speaker 3: just stop fighting and disappear every time andrew opens his
- 5:46Speaker 3: mouth the whole world is reminded of epstein and the
- 5:49Speaker 3: royal family back in the same headline this is such
- 5:52Speaker 3: a bad look it is so so ugly but andrew
- 5:56Speaker 3: is andrew he's not backing down he's entitled he doesn't
- 5:59Speaker 3: think he did anything wrong he really believes that in
- 6:02Speaker 3: his heart he knows what he did and so now
- 6:04Speaker 3: he is punching back which brings us to our poll
- 6:07Speaker 3: question of the day the royal family is split over
- 6:10Speaker 3: andrew's legal fight king charles privately backs him william is
- 6:15Speaker 3: saying enough is enough who's right the king or prince
- 6:19Speaker 3: william hey go vote on our X page, our Twitter
- 6:23Speaker 3: page at Naughty Nice Rob, our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip,
- 6:27Speaker 3: and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey, Misty,
- 6:32Speaker 3: what are you working on?
- 6:33Speaker 2: Well, when this story first broke, it made me so
- 6:36Speaker 2: sad about Chad Lowe and the death of his 13-year-old daughter. Now,
- 6:40Speaker 2: Rob Lowe, he is his brother. Rob Lowe's son, John
- 6:44Speaker 2: Owen Lowe, has shared a moving message of hope following
- 6:48Speaker 2: the death of his 13-year-old cousin, Fiona. So he posted
- 6:52Speaker 2: Emily Dickinson's famous poem. Hope is the thing with feathers
- 6:57Speaker 2: to his Instagram stories over the weekend, just days after
- 7:00Speaker 2: Fiona's death. Now, of course, like I said, Fiona is
- 7:04Speaker 2: the daughter of actor Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter,
- 7:08Speaker 2: who died on September 29th. They put out a statement
- 7:11Speaker 2: that they were deeply heartbroken by the loss of their
- 7:14Speaker 2: beloved Fiona. She was smart and creative and someone who
- 7:18Speaker 2: loved to dance. She has an older sister who vowed
- 7:21Speaker 2: they'd remember her forever. And I have to say, I
- 7:24Speaker 2: had the biggest crush on, not Rob, Chad Lowe. If
- 7:27Speaker 2: people remember, he did a TV show back in like
- 7:30Speaker 2: the late 80s or maybe early 90s.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And I was a huge fan.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And this just makes me so incredibly sad for him
- 7:38Speaker 2: and his family. So we're all praying for them and
- 7:42Speaker 2: just sending them our our warmth and our hearts.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Beautifully said, Misty. Beautifully said. Okay, moving along, Michael Douglas
- 7:50Speaker 3: has a new memoir out and he's snapping at a
- 7:52Speaker 3: reporter over what he put in his memoir. I love
- 7:55Speaker 3: this when celebrities get angry over their own words. We're
- 7:58Speaker 3: not making this up. You have a memoir out. So
- 8:00Speaker 3: you've got Testy, while confronting decade-old rumours, they've seen these
- 8:04Speaker 3: rumours for a long time, about his sex life, saying
- 8:07Speaker 3: basically he was a sex addict. Now, if you read
- 8:09Speaker 3: this memoir, I'm halfway through it, It is full of sex.
- 8:12Speaker 3: It is all about sex. But he does not really
- 8:15Speaker 3: want to talk about that. He snapped, I was a
- 8:17Speaker 3: healthy product of the 60s. He told that to the
- 8:20Speaker 3: Sunday Times, questioning why the British press remained so consumed
- 8:25Speaker 3: with his sex life. Douglas also denied reports that he
- 8:29Speaker 3: entered rehab for sex addiction in the 90s, saying that
- 8:32Speaker 3: wasn't true. He has since married Catherine Zeta-Jones and they've
- 8:36Speaker 3: been together for 25 years. And he said they are
- 8:38Speaker 3: in good shape. I'm glad they're in good shape. Michael,
- 8:40Speaker 3: you can't have this both ways. This is a shockingly honest,
- 8:45Speaker 3: brilliant autobiography. The reason that it is so good is
- 8:49Speaker 3: that he really goes there. He talks about falling out
- 8:51Speaker 3: with Julia Roberts. He talks about drugs. He talks about debauchery.
- 8:56Speaker 3: He talks about the actresses he hooked up with. It
- 8:58Speaker 3: is so delicious. When somebody echoes that back to you,
- 9:02Speaker 3: a reporter, a reader, you can't suddenly act shocked. You
- 9:08Speaker 3: said it. It's your words. This happens all the time
- 9:12Speaker 3: in celebrity journalism, doesn't it? They get angry over what
- 9:15Speaker 3: they said.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I mean, we know that people now with social media,
- 9:20Speaker 2: they put things out, they take it down. But, you know,
- 9:22Speaker 2: your fans notice in two seconds. It's been shot, sent
- 9:26Speaker 2: around the world. So you have to be really careful
- 9:28Speaker 2: what you say. But listen, Michael Douglas, you are 82
- 9:31Speaker 2: years old.
- 9:32Speaker 1: You have a right to go.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Damn right, I had a lot of sex when I
- 9:36Speaker 2: was young and virile. And what you gonna say about it? Yeah,
- 9:40Speaker 2: I like the ladies and the ladies liked me. Shut
- 9:43Speaker 2: it down. That's the way he needs to handle it.
- 9:46Speaker 2: And then the person could have said, oh, can you
- 9:47Speaker 2: tell us anything? And he's like, if you want anything,
- 9:50Speaker 2: you can read the book.
- 9:50Speaker 3: It's all in there.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And he closes it down.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Now he's created another story, which maybe is his brilliance
- 9:57Speaker 2: because we're still.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Talking about him in the book.
- 10:00Speaker 2: But I actually saw him and Catherine Zeta-Jones walk into
- 10:03Speaker 2: a restaurant a few years back, and they did look
- 10:06Speaker 2: very happy. They were going to their favorite table. It
- 10:08Speaker 2: was a steak restaurant. And they, you know, just walked
- 10:11Speaker 2: in unassuming. So, yes, 25 years, they're good.
- 10:15Speaker 3: They're good. They're good. Okay, moving along. Ed Sheeran's finally
- 10:18Speaker 3: speaking out about his estranged cousin who had some hard words,
- 10:23Speaker 3: harsh words about Ed. What is he having to say?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, so he's finally addressing his estranged cousin's attacks over
- 10:31Speaker 2: the fallout of Malcolm Moore and the tour drama and
- 10:34Speaker 2: all that's happening. So the controversy erupted in early September
- 10:38Speaker 2: after Malcolm Moore shouted free Palestine while opening for Sheeran
- 10:42Speaker 2: at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. Now, Malcolm Moore was dropped
- 10:47Speaker 2: from the tour. Ed Sheeran didn't say a lot about it.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I mean, he did say he was happy for the
- 10:53Speaker 2: people who still supported him. And then Sheeran, he insisted
- 10:57Speaker 2: that the promoter, not him, made that decision. Now, that's
- 11:01Speaker 2: when Jethro Sheeran entered the fight, publicly branding Ed selfish
- 11:05Speaker 2: and malicious. Now, Ed is finally responding. He says, you
- 11:09Speaker 2: may have seen my relative recently on social media saying,
- 11:13Speaker 2: This was during a concert in Atlanta and says they
- 11:16Speaker 2: haven't spoken in a very long time. So this is, again,
- 11:21Speaker 2: when family members that, you know, obviously when you're famous,
- 11:24Speaker 2: you know, we don't all talk to every single one
- 11:26Speaker 2: of our family members on it.
- 11:28Speaker 1: On a regular basis.
- 11:29Speaker 2: But could you imagine you're like doing your thing and
- 11:32Speaker 2: then all of a sudden your family members like commenting
- 11:34Speaker 2: on something that you've gone through and you're like, I
- 11:36Speaker 2: haven't spoken to you in like months or years.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Oh, I can imagine it. My sisters would do it
- 11:41Speaker 3: in a minute. Some of my family members would sell
- 11:43Speaker 3: me out in a minute.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I mean, we talk at Christmas, like maybe I send
- 11:47Speaker 2: you a Christmas card. Or, you know, on your birthday,
- 11:50Speaker 2: I write happy birthday on Facebook. So why are you
- 11:52Speaker 2: jumping into who asked you to comment on this? I mean,
- 11:58Speaker 2: if you really care as a family member, call me.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Text me.
- 12:02Speaker 2: See how I'm doing. And then if you want to
- 12:04Speaker 2: curse me out, so be it. Let's have this conversation
- 12:07Speaker 2: in private.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Oh, it's so shady. That's a little bit of the
- 12:10Speaker 3: dynamic with Charles Spencer's book. Tina Brown, who wrote the
- 12:14Speaker 3: Diana Chronicles and saw Tina just weeks before her death,
- 12:17Speaker 3: She pointed out that they've been estranged for a really
- 12:19Speaker 3: long time. Diana and her brother were not very close,
- 12:22Speaker 3: and yet here he is selling a book all about
- 12:25Speaker 3: his sister. I get it, though. Miss D, you've got
- 12:28Speaker 3: a really beautiful nuclear inner circle family, but there's got
- 12:32Speaker 3: to be some crazy aunt or some uncle who, if
- 12:34Speaker 3: you became Beyoncé... I'd have some baby pictures of you here.
- 12:38Speaker 3: It might be nice, but I think there's someone in
- 12:41Speaker 3: everyone's family.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Do you think you'd get that past Mama Dixon?
- 12:44Speaker 3: Your mama would get them.
- 12:45Speaker 1: She would be over at your house.
- 12:47Speaker 2: You'd be writing the text and you'd press send and
- 12:50Speaker 2: she'd be knocking at your door.
- 12:52Speaker 3: She'd be knocking at your door. We all need a
- 12:54Speaker 3: Mama Dixon. Okay, quickly, before we get a break, Meghan
- 12:56Speaker 3: Markle has revealed her new kitchen. So she's put up
- 12:59Speaker 3: a new video and she's in a country kitchen. It
- 13:01Speaker 3: could even be in Britain. She's promoting something forever after
- 13:06Speaker 3: her brand. In the kitchen, beautiful family farm-style kitchen cabinets.
- 13:11Speaker 3: They're oak marble surfaces. Stainless steel cooker, I saw that.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Copper cookware. It's a beautiful, beautiful kitchen. The location is
- 13:22Speaker 3: a mystery at the moment. It hasn't been identified. Sources
- 13:25Speaker 3: say it's very, very British. Obviously, the couple has relocated
- 13:29Speaker 3: to Britain from California. It's very tricky here because Megan
- 13:33Speaker 3: and Harry keep screaming louder than anybody I know that
- 13:36Speaker 3: they want privacy. Leave us alone. And yet, here she
- 13:43Speaker 3: is again, posting pictures, potentially inside her home. Now, we
- 13:48Speaker 3: know when she shot her show that didn't last very long,
- 13:51Speaker 3: her cooking show on Netflix, she actually rented a house
- 13:54Speaker 3: just down the street. She didn't want the cameras in
- 13:56Speaker 3: her kitchen. But I think it doesn't matter. It gives
- 13:59Speaker 3: the illusion that you are welcoming people into your life.
- 14:03Speaker 3: And that isn't what you want. At least that isn't
- 14:07Speaker 3: what you say you want. You say you want privacy.
- 14:10Speaker 3: The mixed messages that the Sussexes continually send, Misty, even
- 14:15Speaker 3: down to their children. They want privacy for their children.
- 14:17Speaker 3: I respect that. Well, Megan, the only pictures of your
- 14:20Speaker 3: kids that have been posted, you took. You posted. That
- 14:23Speaker 3: is true.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Now, we don't see their faces.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Don't see their faces.
- 14:26Speaker 2: That's the answer. And I think that it's not so
- 14:28Speaker 2: much about the children as just showing them as a
- 14:30Speaker 2: happy family.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Because so many.
- 14:32Speaker 2: People are like, oh, they're on their way to divorce
- 14:35Speaker 2: and he wants to leave her, she wants to leave him.
- 14:37Speaker 2: So this is how she responds. So I think if
- 14:40Speaker 2: you're building a business, you have to market your business.
- 14:43Speaker 2: But it's that kind of like, okay, catch 22, I
- 14:46Speaker 2: need to market.
- 14:47Speaker 1: But you know what? You don't always have to be
- 14:50Speaker 1: in your marketing.
- 14:50Speaker 3: No, you don't.
- 14:52Speaker 1: You could show the products. You could ask your.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Friends to talk about the products. I think Oprah did
- 14:57Speaker 2: that with.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Some jam or some cookies.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Yes, she did.
- 15:00Speaker 2: So, I mean, yeah, there's just so many other ways.
- 15:03Speaker 3: There's other ways. Not in the Meghan and Harry world.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Not in that world. I mean, she was an actress.
- 15:08Speaker 3: I get it.
- 15:09Speaker 1: She liked being in front of the camera.
- 15:11Speaker 3: But if I'm one of the most controversial people in
- 15:13Speaker 3: Britain at the moment, I think I'd take a little
- 15:14Speaker 3: step back. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Okay, we're
- 15:17Speaker 3: going to take a step back. We're going to take
- 15:18Speaker 3: a quick break. And we will be right back. Welcome
- 15:22Speaker 3: back to the Naughty But Nice Show. I'm your host,
- 15:25Speaker 3: Rob Shooter. Heya. Let's get to the polls. Last show
- 15:30Speaker 3: we talked about Harry and Meghan. And they're going to
- 15:32Speaker 3: spend Christmas in America. They're coming back to America for Christmas.
- 15:35Speaker 3: They want to be with her mom. Her mom really
- 15:37Speaker 3: knows these kids. She's been there. The royals have not
- 15:40Speaker 3: been there. King Charles hasn't been there. Queen Camilla has
- 15:42Speaker 3: not been there. Doria has been there from the very,
- 15:45Speaker 3: very beginning. And so the grandkids miss their granny. And
- 15:48Speaker 3: granny misses their grandkids. They're going to spend the holidays
- 15:52Speaker 3: back in the USA. Our question was quite chinky. Where
- 15:55Speaker 3: would you rather spend Christmas? I think I know your answer,
- 15:58Speaker 3: Miss D. Would you rather be in the USA... Or
- 16:00Speaker 3: the UK?
- 16:02Speaker 2: Oh, this might surprise you. I mean, I'd love to
- 16:04Speaker 2: spend Christmas Day with my family, and then the next
- 16:07Speaker 2: day I would be on.
- 16:08Speaker 3: A plane to London. You love London.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Fascinating.
- 16:13Speaker 3: 70% said the UK. Oh, that's so interesting. We're going
- 16:17Speaker 3: to get in trouble. Okay, don't forget to vote on
- 16:19Speaker 3: today's poll. Go to our X page, our Twitter page,
- 16:21Speaker 3: our naughty nice Rob, our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip,
- 16:24Speaker 3: and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
- 16:28Speaker 3: And now, my favorite part of the show. It's time
- 16:31Speaker 3: for our.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Nicest of the day.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Well, our nicest is Justin Bieber because he's giving a
- 16:39Speaker 2: sweet glimpse of his life away from the stage and
- 16:43Speaker 2: being a dad to his two-year-old son, Jack Blues. Now,
- 16:46Speaker 2: he shared new family photos Sunday from a zoo trip
- 16:50Speaker 2: with his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their only child, little
- 16:53Speaker 2: baby boy, It's so Justin feeding a baby kangaroo with
- 16:57Speaker 2: one hand while holding, with Justin feeding the baby kangaroo
- 17:02Speaker 2: and holding Jack's hand with the other. That would have
- 17:04Speaker 2: been cute though.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it would have been very cute.
- 17:06Speaker 2: And Haley was also photographed helping to feed a giraffe
- 17:10Speaker 2: during the family adding. They welcomed the baby in August, 2024.
- 17:13Speaker 2: For my birthday, I went to a zoo.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I had so much fun.
- 17:17Speaker 2: So I know the little baby Jack had a great time.
- 17:20Speaker 2: It's a Wonderful place for kids.
- 17:22Speaker 3: It's beautiful. Thank you. Thank you. Our nicest of the day.
- 17:24Speaker 3: And now my naughtiest of the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Engelberg Humperdinck. You might not know that guy. Ask your mom.
- 17:29Speaker 3: He was a huge singer. He really was back in
- 17:32Speaker 3: the 60s and the 70s. We used to have his
- 17:34Speaker 3: greatest hits album in Britain. Well, he's saying he went
- 17:37Speaker 3: through hell and back with the casting couch while he
- 17:41Speaker 3: tried to become a star. He is in his 90s now.
- 17:45Speaker 3: And he recalls when he was in London playing. In
- 17:47Speaker 3: his early 20s, he's a very good looking man. He
- 17:49Speaker 3: was in the 50s and he desperately wanted representation. And
- 17:53Speaker 3: he said he got chased by a lot of agents.
- 17:55Speaker 3: But then he described the casting couch and he said
- 17:57Speaker 3: every agent wanted the same thing, which was sex with him.
- 18:01Speaker 3: He turned down all these advances, he said, and he
- 18:04Speaker 3: finally found an agent. And then he became a huge
- 18:06Speaker 3: star in the late 60s. But it is shocking, these stories. Now,
- 18:10Speaker 3: I know this is a long time ago. I hope
- 18:12Speaker 3: the business has changed. I'm not quite sure it has.
- 18:15Speaker 3: But it also happens to men. This is not just women.
- 18:18Speaker 3: This is men too. And naughtiest of the day, let's
- 18:21Speaker 3: end with a moment of rub. You get a rub,
- 18:23Speaker 3: you get a rub, you get a rub, you get
- 18:25Speaker 3: a rub. Believe that your next best friend is just
- 18:28Speaker 3: around the corner. Let me explain. One of the biggest
- 18:31Speaker 3: mistakes we believe as adults is we think we have
- 18:35Speaker 3: all the important friends in our lives already made. And
- 18:39Speaker 3: we haven't. We haven't. There are extraordinary people out there
- 18:42Speaker 3: that you have not met yet. Someone who's going to
- 18:45Speaker 3: make you laugh. Someone who's going to understand you. And
- 18:48Speaker 3: someone who's going to show up when other people disappear. But,
- 18:52Speaker 3: and this is the big part, you have to remain open.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Say hello to a stranger. Accept an invitation. Join a class.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Talk to somebody sitting next to you on the subway.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Friendships do not have an expiration date. So once you
- 19:06Speaker 3: get to 30 or 40, it doesn't mean you can't
- 19:08Speaker 3: meet new friends. Your next best friend could be just
- 19:13Speaker 3: around the corner. Believe me, they are there. Hey, that
- 19:19Speaker 3: is it for today. Thank you so much for listening
- 19:22Speaker 3: to The Naughty But Nice with Rob and Miss Deesha.
