- 1:10[SPEAKER_03]: So I need, and I only have one.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_03]: So if you guys don't like this one, it's not going to work for us, all right?
- 1:16[SPEAKER_03]: But give me a critique.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_03]: Tell me if this is good.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: How's that?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: I was great, I was great, but I thought what's happened today.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_03]: After 10 it's not, it's not so great today.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: You're an aerial.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: Did you say an aerial?
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: A aerial.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think, is it for a funeral?
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_03]: Then I got, I got to get a funeral, Durg.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: Now, we're having this place.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: More and more character appropriates to a funeral.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I gotta get, I gotta get, I don't think I have any, any funeral charges, but you just remind me I gotta get one for next week.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_03]: That's a gong, that's not, that's not, that's not doesn't work.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_03]: I do have this, this is Japanese people.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so, so yeah, no.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let's get into this.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna talk about, in the first half, we're gonna talk about what they did.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_03]: The bevy of moves that they made today.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_03]: What did they get?
- 2:22[SPEAKER_03]: Karan's Clemens, what the hell is that?
- 2:24[SPEAKER_03]: Karan's Lewis, that was the big move today.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_03]: But they did trade Jalen Phillips a day before, like when usually when you trade somebody the day before the deadline, it portends like a very active deadline day.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_03]: But it wasn't.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_03]: So let's start here.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_03]: Champ Kelly made this move.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_03]: I've talked about it and we've talked about it on this podcast that it's going to take a pretty good general manager to gauge his worth going forward as far as if you're going to keep him how much you're going to pay him what is he worth in the open market can you be competitive if not you should get something for them.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_03]: That's my issue with this.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_03]: You're not getting any cap relief, like what $1.5 million for the remaining of this season.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_03]: No cap relief, but you get a third rompick.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: Your thoughts on the trade Simon, could they have done better?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a difficult one.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think when you, I've never so many elements this, I think as the first domino of what we expect to be lots of dominoes,
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was fine.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't really see the point of it now.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like, either get rid of everybody or get rid of, I just don't see why you would just get rid of one player.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you could easily have got rid of Philips, Charles, Douglas, Minka,
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: the bare minimum, right?
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and they decided not to do that.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so kind of makes you think, well, why did you trade Phillips?
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: Because, like, we kind of did the tank right?
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we couldn't do it right five years ago.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: We can't do it right now or either.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's like that whatever you think of what the jet said today, at least they committed to doing what we just committed ourselves
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, in the round I understand the Philips thing, right?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, when you strip back the emotion, follow player, coming back to back season ending injuries, the worst and possibly have for a player of his position.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: The explosion is hard, and a lot of love has just been right.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: But also, you're going to point where, you know, he's going to want serious money and are you going to be forcing to position where you probably have to overplay slightly for somebody who has had those injuries and has retired once already retiring at one of the UCLA, you know, and overpaying for injured players, something we've done historic brilliantly, probably it would have a super chance of that, you know, so, so, ultimately what we're going to get for him, third round pick.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I didn't expect us to get anymore, but I just Chris, I don't understand why we did it at first place.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: If we weren't going to get rid of all the other players and just, you know, go full ball towards either 20, 26 or 27 depending on what you're going to do.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, look, we weren't going to collect it.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: It was a case of getting rid of salaries and picking up fifth, sixth, rounders.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's fine.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm lost as to what the, well, I mean, I shouldn't be lost as to what the plan was, but I'm lost to what the plan was, Chris.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_05]: I, because there is no plan.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, sorry.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I think that, and, and the fact that there's no plan and what ended up happening, only kind of,
- 6:04[SPEAKER_05]: See my initial reaction with the jail and philips trade was, you know, this doesn't make sense to me to do this.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_05]: Because you have a GM on the way, you know, you're going to be hiring GM.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_05]: This is the person that you're hiring.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_05]: You're going to conduct a round of interviews.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_05]: You're going to sift through a collection of very qualified people, you know, go through all your interviews and find the person that, you know, is going to sit at the poker table for you and play your hand.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_05]: And instead of waiting for that to happen with Jalen Phillips and the decision of what to do with him long term with the dolphins, they just preempted it and took it off that guy's guy or or woman's plate.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_05]: You know, once we kind of speculate that Donna Ponte might, you know,
- 6:57[SPEAKER_05]: put her hat in there, toss her hat in there.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, so it didn't make sense to me with that.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_05]: And now after seeing nothing else happened, knowing that they were kind of motivated to feel those calls and they were working the phones, but then nothing happened.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_05]: It's just very striking because there was no plan.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_05]: There is no plan.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_05]: This is a headless organization.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_05]: Um, this is an organization, you know, and I know no offense to Champ Kelly as the interim GM, but he is the interim GM, not the GM.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_05]: And what that means is he has, you know, he's taking orders.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_05]: This is not nothing that happened yesterday or today.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_05]: is because of champ Kelly's deep assessment and 50 point plan to resuscitate the dolphins as a franchise, right?
- 7:53[SPEAKER_05]: Everything that's happening is just, hey, we fired this high, this is what we want you to do.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_05]: We want you to, we want you to be open to these trades, we want you to feel these phone calls and see if we can get some things done that way.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_05]: So this is a headless directionless organization
- 8:12[SPEAKER_05]: You know, they're going into a high stakes poker game with arguably the best general manager in the sport.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_05]: How he roseman Philadelphia Eagles.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_05]: How do you think that's going to come out?
- 8:24[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like what's what's what's what's it got it and what's it got to tell you about you know an emotion or you know an emotional emotionally reactive headless organization That has no plan or planning going on right now that's going into a high stakes game with how he roseman of all in general managers this is going to break one way or the other way right there's there's not much middle ground here.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_05]: especially because of the compensation being a late third rounder, which is barely top 100, you know, it's not, it's not very much.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_05]: Either this is going to be an absolutely brilliant move for the dolphins because we just gave them an injury grenade, right?
- 9:04[SPEAKER_05]: That's going to go off in their hands.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_05]: Or this is going to be an absolutely brilliant move from the Philadelphia Eagles
- 9:17[SPEAKER_05]: You know, premium position, long lived, by the way, defense events, edge players like this, that it's not like running backs where 28 years old year over the hill.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_05]: And it's not like corners, we're 30 years old year over the hill.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_05]: All right, you know, this is a long lived position, a premium caliber position, a young 26 and a half year old player who is playing really good football over the last month.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_05]: And that's the thing about jailing Phillips, we've seen this movie before.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_05]: He doesn't necessarily start the year the way that he starts to round into shape.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_05]: And we've seen that multiple times actually.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_05]: I think pretty much each of the last three goes that he's gone into the season.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_05]: first month of the season has been, you know, kind of like, hey, where's he at?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_05]: Where's he at?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_05]: And then he starts really come on.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_05]: And with his injuries that the recent injuries that he's had, you kind of understand it.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_05]: That's obvious, right?
- 10:15[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you know, like, you're not going to be in week one.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_05]: Jalen Phillips is not going to be what we tend Jalen Phillips is going to look like.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_05]: he's going to take some time to round into form after, you know, after the some of those injuries.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_05]: So over the last month of the season, if I mean by all markers and measures and, you know, tape watch and everything, he was playing really well.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I don't get too shits about like, you know, okay, big, huge Justin Herbert managed to escape his clutches or something like that.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_05]: You know, that happens to a lot of really good edge players around this league.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_05]: Um, if you watch Justin Herbert enough.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_05]: So I mean, I think that he was playing really well.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_05]: He's at a great position.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_05]: He's young player.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_05]: And so this is either going to be an excellent move for the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_05]: And they're going to look back on it in like five years and be like, Can you believe that that happened?
- 11:05[SPEAKER_05]: You know, Or this is going to be an excellent move for the Miami Dolphins who just handed them, you know, a ticking time bomb.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_05]: And all of his joints are about to explode in a month.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_05]: Right, you know, so so it's going to go one way or the other, which means that it's a consequential move and, you know, as a process over results kind of person, this was bad process, this was bad process you went and did made a consequential decision while your organization is headless going toe to toe no less with the best general manager in the sport.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_05]: in doing so.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_05]: And so that's why it didn't make sense to me.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, I understand that he's an injury prone, or he has been an injury prone player for the last couple of years.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_05]: And I understand that we are sick of those risks.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_05]: But this roster is about to go through an entire flush.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_05]: right?
- 11:58[SPEAKER_05]: We're about to flush everybody down the toilet and you're going to have a roster that's young, probably significantly de-risked as far as injuries are concerned.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_05]: And injury risk is not a, you know, a single transaction thing where you just shut off every possible, you know, trade or
- 12:17[SPEAKER_05]: or acquisition because the guy had an injury.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_05]: It's a portfolio thing.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_05]: It's a whole roster thing.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, I'm carrying too much injury risk.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_05]: I can't do anymore.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_05]: Or I'm carrying an injury risk over here.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_05]: So I have to lay around some redundancies and fail safes.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_05]: to account for that.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_05]: That's what injury risk is like.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_05]: And as far as roster management goes in the NFL, it's not, well, this guy had an injury.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, we're just saying no to all of those, because if you operated that way, then your franchise would come off very dumb, I think, in the long run, in the long run.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_05]: So, it's not that we can't afford any single injury risk player.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_05]: You have to look at the big picture.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_05]: And the big picture on the Miami Dolphins roster
- 13:02[SPEAKER_05]: Under new direction of, you know, whoever we hire as a general manager, I would have just punted this decision off to the next guy or to the to whoever we hire, you know, and and it just doesn't make sense.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for for weeks, I kept saying that I would have I will caution making a move on on JLo Phillips because they had the opportunity and.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: On Twitter, a lot of people out there are like, well, you know, if you want jail and full of so bad, compete for them in free agency.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_03]: That's the issue.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_03]: You had happened.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_03]: You had an opportunity to possibly cost control him going forward because of where he was.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_03]: Now he's going to be to on a high-profile team.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: He's playing our money and I football, making his debut against the Packers, okay?
- 13:56[SPEAKER_03]: A Monday.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_03]: If he plays gangbusters, that toward the end of the season, and he has a lot of, he has a lot of runway here, he has eight games to do this.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_03]: He plays really, really well.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to be back up there in the 25s to $26 million APY.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: And you're out.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_03]: And you sold that for a late third rompick.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_03]: So I hated it because you didn't get any cap relief.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: Like, okay, you're going to hurt me on the draft pick.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_03]: And I did feel as if they got hurt on the draft pick.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_03]: They have another third rompick, which belongs to the jet.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that they got from the jet.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_03]: pay the freight you want me to pay for him to you know play you into the Super Bowl okay then give me that third Ron pick that you took from the jet but no you didn't get that you know I would have expected okay if I'm going to take the worst third Ron pick then you're picking up his entire salary you're going to give me a little cap relief that I can roll over until next season that'd be nice maybe give me a sweetener give me a six
- 15:04[SPEAKER_03]: Let me have one, you know, but they didn't get that either, and that's why you said headless, it's like a zombie organization instead, like it's just like it's it's moving because they just signed a guy on to the breakfast quad, so it's alive somehow, but there's no direction, so my fear is that it was made out of
- 15:24[SPEAKER_03]: maybe an order from the owner.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_03]: And if that's the case, then we're already kind of screwed.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_05]: But if that was the, where's that order today?
- 15:34[SPEAKER_05]: Where's order 66 today?
- 15:36[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like, if that's the case, because Bradley Chobb is just wasting away here.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_05]: Make a Fitzpatrick is just wasting away here.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_05]: You know, you could get those guys off of the roster.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_05]: And like Simon said, you'd have, argue at all you want, at least you have a direction, right, the jets and what they did today, you know, are are they tanking hard for the rest of the year, apparently it looks like it, but you know, at least you have a direction there, the dolphins don't have a direction right there, they just.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_05]: did away with one player, Jalen Phillips, and that was a player who could be ultimately be very consequential in the coming years.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_05]: And again, why don't you give your new general manager or a crack at a whack at that question?
- 16:32[SPEAKER_05]: It's a hard question.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_05]: I get that it's a hard question with Jalen Phillips, but that's why you hire good people.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_05]: Well, they don't have anybody hired.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_03]: So you have anything else there before we got a break?
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's just like, I mean, I'm all I listen to more.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think about it.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: The lack of a plan just seems crazy to me.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't really understand it.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: But then, you know, there's not a lot to understand about the, about the Miamiville food.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: It kind of feels like you're either going to, what I didn't think you would do.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: I thought we'd just keep everybody.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: or trade everybody.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: Or if we traded one player, it would be Judeong.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't think you trade, you know, of all the people that are on the, all the defensive players that are on the market, if we were going to show you one player, the very last player I thought we would trade would be Philips.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_02]: If you're going to do it, do all of it or don't do any of it at all.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: And now you put yourself in a position where, you know,
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: You are, I mean, I think if the Dolphins had fantasies about either Fernando Mendoza or Ty Simpson, if they're the two who are back to come out, I think they're probably, you know, going disappearing and or disappeared.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I think because I think there's winnable gains out there, you know, the jets, the saints,
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: The commander's potentially, you know, I mean, you can really start up.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're getting that advice.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's going.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: And all of a sudden, you're picking 13th, 14th.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's like, what, what are we doing?
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: You've taken yourself out of the market for the two best edge of ice in the draft in Arvelle, recent and Ruben Bay, and you've put yourself in 12 13th, 14th in what doesn't look to be a great draft.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: doesn't make sense to me.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: It makes no sense.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: To me, if you're going to do it, get rid of the mole, you know, fire sail it or get as many peaks as possible.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: Partly, some of that into an amazing amazing draft in 2027.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: You know, 100 feet go out of action if you don't get in, load up on the line to think about getting in 2027.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: But just to sort of, dangle your toe in and chuck in the best
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: utterly pointless, but so on brand.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: So there we are.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and we're going to talk about some aspects to this in the second half of the show, but first let me tell you about underdog.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_03]: football season is in full swing and underdog is the best place to get in on all the action playing on underdog is easy just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like touchdowns receiving yards and exceptions and more get your picks right and you can win up to 5,000 times your cash personally this past weekend and on Monday night my god that
- 19:27[SPEAKER_03]: That cowboy's game Jerry Jones say whatever you want about Jerry Jones, but he's absolutely delusional He's trading for for defensive tackles and God knows what else almost tried to trade for for make a Fitzpatrick as well But yeah, I'm I'm taking on a lot of dead cap this past weekend
- 19:46[SPEAKER_03]: plan on underdog, but doesn't mean that you have to.

- 20:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's football season.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_03]: So it always feels like kind of a reset.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_03]: The dolphins keep resetting as well.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_03]: So it falls in line with the theme.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_03]: That comes with shorter days, finding time to cook can be tough, and that's why I love factor.

- 22:08[SPEAKER_03]: All right guys, I'll start with you Simon.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, they didn't wake up this morning and say, what?
- 22:16[SPEAKER_03]: We're doing nothing.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_03]: We're just sitting around, so maybe put out an order, you know, a food or get some pizzas in here and maybe watch some movies or whatever.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_03]: They work the phones.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_03]: But the, the scuttled butt out there is that their prices were too high.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I heard, obviously, I heard a thing about water.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was chef there's like, not they were asking for one and plus, you know, that's understandable.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_03]: Trust me, I have pretty damn good info on that and they would, they would have needed to be absolutely blown away.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: But the price was also too high on Bradley tub and some in the beat are also saying that the price was too high on Bradley tub.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_03]: There's some information that I kind of trust that tells me, yes, at least what I consider to be a high price, meaning like a fourth wrong pick or something like that, I would consider that ridiculous to ask for for Bradley tough, but it seems like the price was high for Bradley tough.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_03]: And I've had only for make up his Patrick as well, because it's three sources that are saying that the cowboys were in on make up his Patrick and the cowboys just moved on the throwing away well not thrown away, but offering up a first wrong pick.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_03]: and a second rompick, by the way, for Quentin Williams.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_03]: So, the Cowboys were in a buying mood.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_03]: What did you make of this Simon, all of a sudden, our assets, nope, we need premium for our assets.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: But of course, you have the folks who can go for a late-thera rompick.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_03]: You have to make a bad aspect.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, it's why I said in the phone stuff, I just was making sentences, it's like,
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I didn't see any sense in Trader Waddle or HN, that would have been pointless.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: You can't just, you know, completely strip it away.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: But I think there was clear assets defensively that you could have gotten rid of.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: And it just made no sense.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, valuing Bradley Chab at a fourth round pick, non-sensical.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think, kind of bad day with a desperate team.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: You could have got a fourth round pick for me, if it's actually maybe...
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: for a team that's really, you know, a team that's had an injury, especially with a, you know, a guy in space slot, for example, and there's looking for some back-end veteran leadership.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, let's be serious.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I saw people on social media this morning saying, you know, we're going to get a third, third, third for Chava, second for Fitzpatreys.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: And what world are you living in?
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: What don't you understand about value of players these days?
- 24:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm bereft of things to say because it just feels just don't understand.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't understand what they're, you know, it kind of feels like if you had got rid of all of the players, then it was a position for Mike McDaniel to sort of say, well, you know, didn't like many of the groceries we had anyway, and now completely strip the store back.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, maybe it's honorable for me to keep my job.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_02]: And now it's sort of, I don't know, Chris.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_05]: Well, the other thing.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_05]: The only thing I can think is that, you know, Jalen Phillips is one thing because he was on a one year deal, and he was on the fifth year, the fifth year option deal.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_05]: So nothing stretches into next year.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_05]: There's no, this isn't a contract that has like, you know, void years or dead cap or anything like that.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_05]: The other contracts that we're talking about, some of them do, they do have implications into 2020, six and beyond, Bradley Chubbs and make of Fitzpatrick's.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_05]: There would be, there would not be, because this is post-tune first, there would not necessarily be acceleration of dead cap into this year, right?
- 26:03[SPEAKER_05]: If you were to trade to make of Fitzpatrick or Bradley Chubb,
- 26:09[SPEAKER_05]: trading them right now would kind of set in stone what is going to happen with those accounting entries next year.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_05]: You know exactly what and how much and stuff like that.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_05]: That would set that in stone.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not saying it's unworkable at that point.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_05]: It's just it's just that it would set those figures into a block that you know is you can't do anything about.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_05]: Keeping them on hand means that carry and carrying them into the next off season means that you do have some options open in terms of doing pre June 1st post June 1st spreading cap hits across multiple years getting right I mean let's face that they're not going to pay make a fits Patrick 15.6 million dollar cash obligation next year and they're not going to pay Bradley child.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_05]: They're certainly not going to pay Bradley jobs 20.2 million dollars.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_05]: cash obligation next year.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_05]: Those, that's not happening.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_05]: There's no world where that happens.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, they're not going to keep them, but they do have options about how they get rid of them and how it syncs up in times with the, with the all important, you know, accounting entries.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_05]: So,
- 27:24[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe they felt like they needed to be compensated in order to set themselves on a set path, like of pre June 1st, you know, everything's going to accelerate next year.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, we'll save the cash obligations, but also, you know, also a lot of chickens are going to come home to risk pre June 1st if if you do that with those who.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_05]: it's the only thing I can think.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_05]: It's not insurmountable.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_05]: Honestly, I know the cat pretty well.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_05]: It's not that big of a deal to be honest.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_05]: But it's the only thing that I can think of as far as, you know, what would have made them induce them to say, you know, hey, we do need a little bit of compensation in order to do this.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_05]: Otherwise, it doesn't make any sense.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_05]: And the fact that you trade,
- 28:12[SPEAKER_05]: ahead of getting the new GM, but you know, you value Bradley Chub, so high that you're like, no, we didn't end up trading him.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_05]: You know, we want the next kind of deal with them.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_05]: Like that's so fast, accurate.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_05]: Like it's like Bradley Chub is an entirely less valuable asset.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_05]: than Jalen Phillips, even with the injury history with Jalen Phillips, I don't care, right?
- 28:41[SPEAKER_05]: Like so, so it's really backward to do that.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_05]: I'm with you, I would have just cleaned house and you know, set the dolphins up for what they are for the rest of the season, which is a team that's, you know, you don't wanna use the word tanking, but,
- 29:00[SPEAKER_05]: You know, you're, you're about to find out what some young players got, right?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_05]: That's, that's the idea.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_05]: Big three challenged victory challenge.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_05]: You're going to find out what some young players got for you, right?
- 29:13[SPEAKER_05]: Because some meaningless wins against the New Orleans Saints, you know, aren't going to help you, right?
- 29:21[SPEAKER_05]: They're not going to help anybody.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_03]: No, and the doing is moving them up in the draft order.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_05]: Sure.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_05]: So, so I mean like there's there's that aspect of it and you know there's also the aspect of it that, hey, if you didn't want this to happen, sending a message to these players and then you're I'm going to fail career.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, if you don't want to see this happen to you, then don't fuck around.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_05]: You know, don't fuck around for nine weeks and just, you know, and fall starts here and, you know, just not knowing the play there and, you know, getting not getting our communication right trying to do other people's jobs, you know, and this league, you know, that margin is a lot thinner probably than you think it is and don't fuck around, you know, because this is the kind of this kind of thing that can happen.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_05]: It is kind of a little bit baffling to me unless it really does have to do with salary gap implications, which even then I wouldn't accept the excuse because as I happen to know that there are ways to remediate that, I just, you know, I guess it is what it is.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_05]: And the question now is, is
- 30:32[SPEAKER_05]: that were left with is, are they tanking or are they not tanking?
- 30:36[SPEAKER_05]: Were they, were they not?
- 30:39[SPEAKER_05]: Are they trying to give Mike McDaniel a chance?
- 30:43[SPEAKER_05]: You know, to get this all turned around like they kind of said they're going to the said that they're, he's going to continue on his job for the rest of the year and they're hoping that he's the guy and that he can keep the locker room together and stuff like if that is the case though, you still trade a jail in Phillips,
- 31:00[SPEAKER_05]: Right, so you didn't do him any favors there.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_05]: And if that is the case, you still just like release rumors through Ian Rappaport that, you know, two is about to be benched or something.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_05]: which is not going to help.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_05]: That's not going to help.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_05]: That's not going to help that relationship between with Daniel and Tua.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_05]: That's not going to help anything get really congealed and go forward.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_05]: So again, it just speaks of this sort of no plan.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_05]: We're in no man's land.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_05]: And we've been there for so long and understandably we're all very tired of.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_05]: So that's what it is.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it reminded me of, uh, there's a scene in money bought and that actually did happen by the way where, uh, the manager didn't want to play a certain, uh, first basement, but the general manager kept telling him, you have to play this guy.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_03]: So what he did was that he traded the guy that the general manager wanted to play at first place, essentially forcing his hand.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_03]: Like I would have, I would have just traded Bradley Chubbe and Matthew Duda on just to get Chopper Robinson on the field and I understand that he's in the concussion protocol, but it's been revealed that he's likely going to be ready for Sunday.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_03]: He should be playing 50 snaps a game.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, you're burying him for no apparent reason and a lot of these games.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: Even when he started playing well against Atlanta, then he doesn't see the field for most of the fourth quarter.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_03]: And you're playing guys that are not part of the future, then I even really part of the
- 32:31[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, what's the point of playing Bradley Chopper right now?
- 32:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, or Matthew Tudon, like what's the point?
- 32:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'll let you, you want to play Matthew Tudon on special teams to save chop Robinson some snaps in special teams.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: I tell you good, bring Quentin Bell out.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_03]: Those are the guys that should be, should be playing.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_05]: I don't understand this in, in, in the, in least bit, you know, but the question I would ask both of you is, what are they going to do with Tua?
- 32:58[SPEAKER_05]: Like are they going to ban shim at some, because they released that room or somebody
- 33:03[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_05]: Like somebody somebody threw that out there at at Rappaport, who and he made he made it quite certain to, you know, that he needed to stick that in into all his notes about the trade deadline and stuff like that is the fact that to a
- 33:23[SPEAKER_05]: is going to be benched if he continues, you know, or is soon soon to be benched or could be benched like that.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_05]: That was that was planted.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_05]: It was very specific.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm not sure what to make of it because part of me wants to just say, well, Steve Ross is still a little bit reliving 2019 and and I know that 2019 still has to chap his ass.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_05]: right, like as far as winning a few more times, then they need to cost them a crack at Joe Burrow, who they really, really tried to trade up for and unsuccessfully so.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_05]: And, and so, you know, and it also makes me, you know, brings me back to,
- 34:04[SPEAKER_05]: Steve Ross, he hires a head coach 2019 Brian Flora as who's like, you know, really, really not cool, right?
- 34:13[SPEAKER_05]: Like Steve Ross is sitting there like, you know, hey, you know, we're taking you to like, hey, I'll give you 100 days for every loss.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_05]: Brian Flora is like, that's not funny Steve.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like, like, that's, you know, this is my, it's Mike McDaniel and then the boat thing.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_05]: Like, hey, we're all hanging out here on a yacht.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I got Tom Brady just a couple of dudes saying, now, why don't you come over and Brian Flores?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I'm leaving.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_05]: So I mean, like, I think that I wonder if Mike McDaniel is that cool coach who will play along, you know?
- 34:47[SPEAKER_05]: And so could Mike McDaniel try to buy his job security.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_05]: I'm saying, yeah, I play up like one years.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_03]: Chris, I got a war, it was worse than that.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_03]: That team, that 5 and 11 team.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, they were 4 and 11, and they went 5 and 11.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_03]: When they went to go beat the two seated New England Patriots in New England and called weather, the beat Tom Brady.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_03]: with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Devante Parker and Microsekky going nuts, and with a bunch of guys of from the practice squad on defense, running zero blitzes, defeating Tom Brady and ruining the Patriots season, and then the following week, Tom Brady loses in the first round to the Tennessee Titans.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_05]: But you know, but you know that whole burrow thing probably still eats at Steve a little bit and the way the tank, the way the tank didn't really go off in 2019.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_05]: And so I wonder, you know, is he looking for and and here I thought they're dismissing, you know, Chris Greer in part the timing of when they did it and part because of this deadline.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_05]: And the fact that Chris Greer is not even answering the phone on some of these guys, right?
- 35:57[SPEAKER_05]: And so I think you would think that maybe Steve is looking for some of his hires to play ball with them.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_05]: And like, because we know that we know Steve Ross colors outside the lines, right?
- 36:11[SPEAKER_05]: Like, this is what they got docked picks for.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_05]: They were tampering with Tom Brady more than a year in advance of his free agency.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_05]: They were tampering with Tom Brady more than a year in advance.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_05]: They were tampering with Sean Payton's, you know, in direct communication with Don Yee, his agent, uh, and concocting schemes to force to force Sean Payton out of normalins and into the hands of my wife.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, wait.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_03]: And it's, uh, it's an excerpt from that book that I keep reading.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, it's called The Why Is Everything.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_03]: In there, Kyle Shanahan talks about how he blocked
- 36:47[SPEAKER_03]: Mike McDaniel, five interviews for Mike McDaniel to go to be offensive coordinator in five different teams.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: He blocked five teams.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_03]: One of them was actually the Miami Dolphins.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_03]: And Kyle Shanahan told Sean McFay, Mike's not getting in the Miami job because they're getting champagne.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, that's.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_03]: So, Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco knew about it.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_05]: So could Mike McDonald's save his job by signaling to Steve Ross that like, you know, hey, I'll play ball with you.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_05]: I'll call her outside the lines a little.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I'll throw him, you want me to throw him in when you're, let's really stink it up.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_05]: I'll throw some backwards passes.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't trust, I don't trust Zach Wilson by the way.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's known to have that that that mind-numbing performance out of nowhere that beats somebody.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, he'll make you think that you're losing for the first two quarters and then in the third quarter you suddenly get ahead.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and then in the fourth quarter he he blows it, but like, you know, the other team blows it more.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's being Buffalo twice guys.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: So, so yeah, so be very careful with Zach was and you need 20 20 hours in there.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: Like 20 hours, we'll do that job for you.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_05]: That guy barely can, I mean, he had that one like Ryan Fitzpatrick like blind grow that he did complete credit to him on that.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_05]: But for the rest of that game, like if you had like 13 snaps, a swear to god he made like seven mistakes like blatant ones.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_03]: So finishing up here.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about what the rest of the league did.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_03]: I guess basically two teams are the ones.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_03]: Although I like what Seattle did.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_03]: That's a pretty nice move.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_03]: If you watch that team on Monday football, they have a look.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_03]: They're pretty much loaded all across the board and they have a quarterback playing at a very, very high level.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_03]: Simon, when you make
- 38:56[SPEAKER_03]: and the Cowboys, which, why, those three teams especially.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I mean, the cults clearly that they had a whole day, one of the corner, they clearly value Daniel Jones, they go in all in, they're seven and two, they're the best record of the league coming in, and a bit of a bump in the road in Pittsburgh at the weekend, but they played
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: Now standing football and you know I don't think source has necessarily been the player that he was I think last 18 months He's fallen back slightly towards the pack.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean I think he still could be a top 10 corner in the league But I don't think he's anyway close to Pat Satan and there's been some effort issues and tackling issues So I'm sort of off field bits and pieces that you hear I think still a good move for a
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: a team that's got super long aspirations.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: It also means that they're probably all in on Danny Jones, at least for the next couple of seasons, which is an interesting decision given to call it back, certainly, that are going to come out of the next couple of years.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I mean,
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, for me, I think you're trying to, you're trying to value the five most important positions in the league, right?
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: For me, that would be cool about left tackle, corner, edge russia, and actually in the modern era of the NFL, I think, interior defense of Lyman, who can pressure the court back.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: And as we saw with Walter Nolan last night, those guys are really important because, you know, they can get the call back to the midline and they can they can flush them out into your into your address and I think, you know, losing your lockdown or pro corner and losing your all pro defensive tackle is a pretty brave move.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: And now I have five first round picks of the next five years, which is pretty astonishing including 327 of which you know, you look at that 227 draft, you know, just take the cornerbacks out of it and you know, thinking of some of the names that are eligible for it.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: Jeremiah Smith, Dylan Stewart, Colin Simmons, Cam Coleman, Ryan Williams, Leonard Moore, Jordan Seaton, throw in all the call-up acts on top of that as well.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's some serious names for 327.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so Downmoogie is obviously put all his chips into the into the table and, you know, away you go, and if you're a draft-loving chets fan, the next cup is going to be super exciting, but they're going to be absolutely cheese.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_02]: Um, for the next couple of years and whether or not that, that results in Mendoza since normal this year or they go all in for,
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: arch, or Julian Sayin, or whoever it is next year, then remains to be seen.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: And then the cowboys, I mean, are sort of great, red rose and cattle tweed earlier on there, since she said they swapped mica Parsons,
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: for Massey Smith, Quinn and Williams, and Kenny Clark.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: Kenny Clark.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_02]: Kenny Clark is going to cut in January anyway, and 14 picks higher, give or take in the first round.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: And when you look at it like that, that's like, wow, okay.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I like Quinn and Williams, but come on, Michael passes is ridiculous.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the cowboys,
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: over paid for Williams and undersold for Parsons, Streetbeeton.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, you know, to watch that game last night, you know, one of the best offences in the league, the, I don't think the offensive line is actually on fire.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_02]: Dats come down to earth a couple of last couple of weeks, but, you know, they've got two great guys on the outside, so on two Williams is running brilliantly and the defense couldn't stop at you mean, out, you know.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: And so, yeah, they needed help, they signed a local lawsuit, just been benched on probably the worst defense in the league, but has had played all right in the past.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: and they'll see what Quinn and Williams now, and I have to see how it goes, but I don't think the cowboys at three, five and wide are particularly going to make the playoffs anyway.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, strange day, but I think the big winners are draft loving fans of the New York Jets, and if they get the right court back, then they're set up brilliantly to
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, to maneuver over the last of the next couple of years, but don't forget, I think, was it in 21, 22, they all said five first row kicks and yeah, 21, 22, they had the five first run picks and they're back rebuilding already.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, Chris, what did you make before we get out of here?
- 43:18[SPEAKER_03]: What did you make of today's date?
- 43:19[SPEAKER_03]: Which is kind of weird, right?
- 43:20[SPEAKER_03]: There's never used to happen.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_03]: like this is this used to be a thing for the MBA and for major league baseball like the tread deadline it was like a big deal everybody's like oh my god who's gonna do what and if i went nuts i guess this is a thing going forward since they moved the tread deadline farther back what did you make of the moves today and this new reality that we're in which is kind of cool
- 43:44[SPEAKER_05]: I just know that Steve Ross is going to be so upset right now about the judge because there's there's there's rivalry there.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_05]: He's in New York.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_05]: You know he knows what he like he's he knows they all know each other.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_05]: Like and there's a reason that you know Mike Tannenbaum goes from you know Donna Ponte and you know there's there's there's cross over going on there.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_05]: I just know he's so pissed right now.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_05]: that the jets really stole a show with those trades and they look like they have what exactly when Miami doesn't, which is a direction.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_05]: And so, you know, say what you want about as Simon said, you know, the chances are based on what's happened, they're going to be bad.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_05]: Certainly for the rest of this year and next year to boot, but they have direction, you know, they have direction as far as the rebuild goes and I just know Steve Ross is going to be so angry about that.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_05]: But, you know, it's funny Jerry Jones sound a bit, remember when Donald Trump started like all of a sudden saying stuff like, you know, hey, I'm trying to get into heaven.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_05]: And, and, you know, like, you know, he's trying to, he's trying to negotiate peace deals and stuff like that.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_05]: He's like, I'm, I'm trying to get into heaven.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_05]: I hear him not doing so good.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_05]: And, and like, people are speck of, oh, or is he, you know, how's his health?
- 45:06[SPEAKER_05]: Is it, you know, stuff like that?
- 45:08[SPEAKER_05]: Jerry Jones, I mean, so,
- 45:10[SPEAKER_03]: is he sitting on some doctor like doctor like a bad doctor visit or something like that because Jerry Jones acted like it's it's you know that's like much time last night was the greatest three minutes of television and it's not what you think you saw okay it was when Jerry Jones is sitting in the box and they flashed to Jerry Jones and Steven A Smith
- 45:40[SPEAKER_03]: And the very next snap, the very next snap is the fumble by Jake Ferguson.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_03]: They pick it up.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_03]: They take it to midfield.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_03]: Two plays later.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_03]: They're in the in the end zone.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's 17 to nothing.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_03]: They come back to the box and Steven A Smith is getting up and saying his goodbye stuff to Jerry Jones.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_03]: It was as if Steven, Steven A Smith just showed up to bring the
- 46:10[SPEAKER_05]: I just think that the Cowboys are quite transparent.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_05]: Jerry is like, I'm not gonna live much longer.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_05]: I may be not even in next year.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know, so we see that.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_03]: Let's, let's, let's put up a stat.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_03]: CK is cycling there.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_03]: There you are, you're back.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_03]: And now I'm cycling.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_03]: Now I know the side.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_03]: And do you hear me?
- 46:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm back.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to get out of here anyway right now, but they had a stat on last night and Jerry Jones that has to be frosting his ass, the Cowboys average 32 points again, they managed to score 40 points against the Green Bay Packers and what they have to show for it is a tie against the Packers and the 351 would know hope at the Division title.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_03]: And quite frankly, they're kind of screwed because that schedule is going to tighten up the rest of the way, that difference is absolutely horrific.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's how they make our defense look okay, it's odd to me.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, we're done with that.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_03]: On Thursday we will talk Dolphins Bills.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_03]: Bills, very quiet today.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's a mistake.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, they look great against the Patriot.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the Patriots.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_03]: They look great against the Kansas City Chiefs, but they always dominate the Chiefs in the regular season.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_03]: They needed a deep threat.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_03]: They should have gone after Shahee, a fourth round pick.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: What do you care about a fourth round pick?
- 47:40[SPEAKER_03]: Brandon Bean.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
- 47:43[SPEAKER_03]: Given that deep element and watch Josh Allen Cook, that's what he needed.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_03]: Think they fell a little short.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, we're gonna talk about the bills.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna talk about the dolphins.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Thursday, but tell that.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: Just to go to the stages before we get out, it just is a quicker bottom line.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think the biggest takeaway from what's happened today, right, is the fact that the dolphins literally need to start over with a rebuild, but now it's a massive problem because the bills are potential super favorites.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: The Patriots are patently back and they've got an MVP candidate callback and now the new objects have five first rounders.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_02]: That is a massive issue for the Miami Dolphins, where you can follow it.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_05]: And inside five first rounders and inside track on probably number one over all this year.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_02]: And enough in a hardware to be having such a number one next year as well if they if they want to.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, they won't.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think that's my biggest takeaway from from all this.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe they're real.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they're realigning to the mountain west or something like that.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I doubt that we're in that.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we'll talk about it on Thursday, but still then.
