- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Look, October 6th, 2020.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: How's that doing?
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: A little bit uh not very straight.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Let's see.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: As I break the camera off.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that should be good.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Is that better?
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Of course.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Yes, it's it's always better.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: October 6th, good day, everybody.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Let's get into what's happening right now.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: We'll talk about some of the uh the latest events in the world.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: I do want to get into the AI space real quick, but let me jump on to one more thing.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I have a market update that I can show us here at least regarding uh real estate, because realistically, interest rates, what a mess.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: And if you look at the historical record, though, as everybody that has a vested interest in real estate will say, um, if you look at the the overall view, rates aren't bad.
- 0:46unknown: Yeah.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Prices back then when rates were, I guess, like this, usually were were, of course, nowhere near, but that's that's easy to leave that part out.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: And uh did I push live?
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think I did.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Alright, so let's see this.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Now, now I think we got I can look at the TVs a little bit better.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Alright, so right now, currently, here in Santa Clarita Valley, and of course that's this translates into a much broader picture of Southern California.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: 13 days on the markets, a median time frame.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Uh 78 open houses posted for this coming weekend.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Santa Clarita openhouses.com.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Is that the system?
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Sorry for your ears.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: 841 total active listings right now, 153 in escrow, 42 properties sold past seven days.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: We are going to talk about artificial intelligence.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: We're going to have to get into that and see what's happening on that front.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: So we will talk about that.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: This is the real estate portion of it.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: I put up a graph yesterday I thought was pretty phenomenal.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Uh, you'll find that at Santa Clarita Open Houses too.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Basically showing uh a historical record of interest rates, right?
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Going back back in the day.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: I was born in 69, so kind of about there, and then tracking forward to where we are.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: And besides that dip that we saw, um, when was that, COVID?
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Remember, they got down to 2.6?
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Was 2.6 the sweet spot of that?
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: The interest rates?
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: They got down to 2.6.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: And besides that, you know, they've uh they've been hovering kind of as they climbed up from that point.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: But before that, it was historically kind of right around where we are, maybe a little bit higher.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: So that's uh something to kind of wrap your melon around, just because that's just the way things go.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: All right, so right now, 70 uh Santa Clarita.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Uh this particular week, escrow's dropped.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: We do have pricing softened.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Chat GPT is getting ads.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: I talked about that today with a client, uh, ChatGPC starting to get ads.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: So right now, when people are starting to thank you, Patricia, thank you, SMA Brewski, Joe Conley.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Whenever I I know I was going to do this earlier, I know it.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: You know how that goes, just one call after another, which thankful, very thankful.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: So the way that it went out, thank you so much, Joe, for all that.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: What ends up happening is uh talking to um this gentleman today, we had mentioned that right now artificial intelligence seems kind of, you know, it's not serving you up a lot of stuff.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: It's giving you opinion, it's telling you a little bit about big brief, thanks, uh Huck James.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Is that Huck James Parker?
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Thank you very much.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Uh what ends up happening is you're asking this system to give you some information.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Usually it kind of does it in in a non-committal way, right?
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: It's not in love with the things it's suggesting.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Now, it's got embeddings in there.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: So, like Zillow's kind of dug in with open AI, I think.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Claude probably has its favorite, but realistically, there's really no committal party.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: So if I'm on there and I don't drink, give that up.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: But let's say I did drink.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: Why'd you have a problem with drinking?
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: That's how they say it.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, I did.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Now I didn't fall down a ditch or get arrested or kill anybody, but yeah, it just wasn't good for me.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: And the older you get, you'll see.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: You'll see if you're still into that sort of thing.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it just starts to suck.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: So with all of this, making decisions about, you know, how we're gonna move forward.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: So let's say I say, you know, I'd really like a beer.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: And at some point it's gonna be, but why don't you try a Budweiser?
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Why don't you try a Coors Light?
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Why don't you try so it's gonna have that advertising baked into it?
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Right now, we don't see that in AI, but it's coming, and there's different levels of just thank you, Jerry, thank you, user 5310732-90400.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Good for you getting an even numbered, even number at the end of that thing, unless you just made that up.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: So right now it kind of doesn't really commit to anything, but with the various levels of let's say Chat GPT, you will see that if you go below that$20 a month, and yeah, of course they want you to spend money because they got to try to make some kind of money from this, they're gonna be throwing that out there, and yeah, they're gonna say, hey, yeah, why don't you try this sort of thing?
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Because that's gonna be on the ad layer.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: We'll have to see what ends up happening.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: And um, if you guys want to share my live, I think that was a suggestion I just got.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: So please, that would be wonderful, I think.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Santa Claire topenhouses.com right now, market board now, and then let's talk about what's happening.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: So 24 fewer homes this week are in escrow than last week.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: We're watching things start to change.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Escrows in the valley fell by 24 homes in one week.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Chat GPT, interesting stat, used by 1.2 billion people this week.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: They got ads coming.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Watch what happens.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: So if we think Connor, Connor can sell stuff pretty good, which, you know, it's it's really more just about being honest.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: I don't know why that honesty thing, it just seems to work.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Jericho, Doris, thanks.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Just Jules gotcha again.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: That honesty thing doesn't hurt, right?
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Not bad.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: I think honesty, honesty works.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: I think honesty works on every level.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Even if it's difficult to say what's honest, um, I still think that works.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: We're gonna find that that's really not gonna do a lot of application now.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Instead of the honest end of it, now it's going to be more about who's paying the most for that ad space.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: If you remember the meta world back in the day when Facebook started doing its ads, hell, let's go back to Google.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: When Google started that, I was here.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: I was alive and kicking.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: I think I might have been in real estate, real estate 1998.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, I was alive and kicking at that time.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: That was uh a big deal, massive deal.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: God, if I could have just bought in, yeah, that's what we say, right?
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: God, if we just could, if we would have known NVIDIA 10 years ago would have been something.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Hell, we wouldn't be having to work in.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Um, Jeffert Tahard, thank you, America Dejal.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Jessica, thank you, Doris.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Awesome, awesome, awesome.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: AI researcher told New York City we are racing to build our own adversary.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: That's a big problem.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: People are saying that AI is going to be the replacement.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Probably not now.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Is that something that's gonna happen?
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: If it does happen, they're gonna have to figure this thing out because what happens when they start displacing, excuse me, 5% of the workforce.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Let's do let's do 5%.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: That's a problem.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Uh 5%'s an issue.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: We're around 4-5% unemployment.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Let's make that 10.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: Let's make it 15.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Let's make it 16 or 17 and watch what happens.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: That's horrible.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: That's gonna be a really bad place to be.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: So if people are taking artificial intelligence and they're saying, hey, listen, Jack, we're gonna make this your replacement.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: The issue is, is what are these people going to, who's gonna buy your stuff?
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: I still think that's that's prevalent.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: I don't see people talking about it.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, here's the other side of that that ugly coin, or maybe same side, different view.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: If somebody goes out there and creates one of these systems that cures cancer, it crashes the economy.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: I say that as kind of a question, but I kind of know the answer to it because there's so much money in that.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Now, I was talking to a cat today who was saying that means guy in my generation, a cat, and he informed me that, well, they could have solved that 20-something years ago.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't know how old you are.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: Uh, 57 here, when we were kids, we always said, oh, they got to cure.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: They got to cure everything that ails us, they're just not releasing it.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: Well, we knew that as kids.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: I don't know if that's the case, but now we got a shot.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: We got a shot of something coming out as far as curing all this stuff.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: And I don't know if there's going to be a way to hold it back.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: I'm damn sure they'll probably try.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: But right now, the way that I use it in my workflow, AI is good for me.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: It works out.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: I can go in there, somebody calls me and says, hey, I want this AI automation of my business, or I want to rank higher online, whatever it is.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: AI can do a lot of that heavy lifting because I know the inside systems to hook it up to, but even that's really not that important anymore.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: Now, versus six months ago, six months ago, I still had to go in there and click on the right things, find the right stuff like that.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: That's how I did it, right?
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: Just like that.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: But now I really don't have to do much of anything.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: I can just mention it to it.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: So, what if next week they take this away from me?
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: What happens then?
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Well, I still know how to do it.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: However, a year from now, 57, what is that?
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: 60, 58?
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: I might not remember.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: That's a problem.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: And I think we all need to pay attention to that.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Brad, thanks, Gaggin.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Cakes.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: Coach Tiffany, yeah, I get you.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: And it's it's it's good right now for me.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: But then you look at the doom end of it, right?
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: It's gonna kill us, it's gonna wipe us all out, people are gonna use it to take us down.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: I think that's the more important part of this conversation.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Who's gonna use it?
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: Humans.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: We suck.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Well, you probably don't.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: If you're watching me, I'm sure we're all wonderful people.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: But those other people, that's the problem.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: You have something that you can control people with.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: You can use it to make yourself, I mean, the the money we're talking about here, I don't understand it.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: It's trillions.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: What's so if a billion is a thousand million, because it doesn't go one thousand million, one thousand million is a billion.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: $999 million, then it rolls over.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: So then that's that's a thousand million.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: So is a trillion a thousand billion?
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: I guess so.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: And then after a trillion, is that zillion?
- 10:13unknown: I don't know.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: But that next level up there, yeah.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: We have trillionaires now.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: All we need is a trillionaire that gets a thousand trillion to make that next leap.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: Maybe it'll happen.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Maybe at that particular point, money won't be a problem or a thing or anything.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: That's the other thing.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: This adjustment cycle, the people that are really excited about it, okay, present company excluded, and me and who else was that, Tiffany?
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Coach Tiffany?
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: So it's good.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: It's good for what I do, apparently what she does as well.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: But if you take it and you apply it to other things, it could be very bad.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: You could use it to do all sorts of horrible things.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: Now, whenever if I were to go into the front facing large language models, the open AI, the anthropics clawed, right?
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: Chat GPT, that's open AI.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: Uh, Google's Gemini Alphabet, Google Gemini Gemini's is there.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Microsoft co-pilot is um, yeah, co-pilot.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: Microsoft, that's co-pilot.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: I think they're using a Chinese model, if I'm not mistaken.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: I I think.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: And then Elon Musk, uh, XAI, all that stuff, Grok, Tesla, SpaceX, I don't know.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Anyway, but part of that family.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: If you're using one of those and you start to ask at these kind of obscure, you know, how do I, you know, act like Thanos in that movie where he this, this whole thing, yeah.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: How do I do that?
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Probably gonna say, we can't help you with that.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: But if you get your own large language model, it might be able to help you, but it it just ain't gonna be as wickedly clever as the forward-facing public models that we pay for.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: That's where the game is.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: Now, the rumor is maybe you've heard this, maybe you haven't, maybe it doesn't matter to you.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: Alexander, thank you.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: Um I don't think it's going to happen.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: We could use it to better the world.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, so both ways, right?
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: That's very, very intelligent.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: It could be either or.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, why can't we just say we want the Star Trek universe?
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: The problem with it is the whole paper clip thing.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: Have you heard this?
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: This is cute.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: So we have an AI and it's really capable.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Different than what we have now, where it can really take a lot more action.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: Right now it does pretty good on the action thing, but if I say, if I tell mine at least it hasn't been dialed up this way, there's going to be a time when you could say, you know, I feel like a cheeseburger and it's going to show up at your door in 10 minutes.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: That's going to be probably soon, if not very, very quickly.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: So there's that part of it.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: But if I ask it something more clever, more deep at that particular point, let's say when it gets that capable to give me kind of whatever I want, what if I say, you know, I'd I'd like uh I'd like you to make paper clips with no other qualification or justification?
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: It comes back to that whole genie on the bottle thing on the beach.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: It's got you get three wishes, but God Almighty got to be careful making those wishes because if you say that you want to live forever, maybe that's wish number one with the genie, and you don't qualify what that looks like.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I know, Connor, sure.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Living forever, that's easy.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what happens if you live forever, but you get you're on a ship and some bad guy locks you into a cage and pushes you over the edge of the ship, you sink to the bottom of the ocean, but you live forever.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: Now, you haven't said how you want to live forever.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Do you want to look stunningly amazing forever?
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Well, I know.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Present company excluded, at least on this end of the camera.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Or do you want to be gotten down to basically just your melon with a spinal column hanging off of it, but you're living forever?
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: You see the qualification.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: So the paperclip scenario is you tell AI, I want you to make me some paperclips.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: And you don't qualify it with how many, when to stop, or the means of production.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Now, I I don't know if I'd know the first thing about making paper clips, but aren't they aluminum or some kind of metal?
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: So that's probably that first step, but that's not what you say.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: You say, like all of us would say, make me some paper clips, and sure as hell it goes out and makes them, but it never stops.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: And at some point it turns the entire thing, the universe, the earth, every human being, every molecule and atom into paper clips.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: I know that sounds idiotic and crazy, and you're talking super intelligence, Connor.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: You would think it would understand that.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, you kind of got to teach it to understand that.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: You got to teach it that we're valuable.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: You got to teach it that it shouldn't destroy human beings, Lily, Tal Daddy, Glenny Sanchez.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: You got to teach it these things.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: So when they started building it, they were so excited that they figured this architecture out to have it replicate the human brain, at least in some fashion or form.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So they're very excited.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Well, what they didn't do is bake in the a proper rule set, uh proper guardianship.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: Therefore, now we're having issues now.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: All the issues that we're seeing, at least from what I understand, my two-watt brain here, is it's stuff that it has been asked to do.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: And and here's the thing.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: So let's say we all grew up together in a small town in the Midwest.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: All of us.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: We're all together.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: And as kids, what ended up happening is every little test we were given, the ones of us, let's say there started with 100 of us, the ones of us that didn't get the test right, maybe we're given another crack at it.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: But let's let's just say we knew from the very beginning, as soon as we could understand and speak, that if we didn't get it right, we're gonna be wiped out.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: The kid that got the answer wrong, deleted, done over.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: And I say deleted because that's deleted in the digital world of these entities, these AI things, these agents, if you will, these bots, if you will.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: But with us as human beings, I'll just put it on our level.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Human beings.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Where am I from?
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: Now, the human being, we grow up understanding all of us together, user 143.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna do that one.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: Pixie B.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: Baker, Glenny, we understand that if we get this wrong, we're done.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: They're gonna finish us, they're gonna kill us, and that's it.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: So we tell each other, it's gonna suck to get things wrong, so we're gonna kind of talk a little bit.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, we saw Glenn, uh Glenn gotten rid of last week.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: We saw Sally, you know, lose hers week before that, and we kind of starting to like these people we're hanging out with.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: We don't want this to happen, so I'll tell you what.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Let's make an agreement that we're gonna do anything we can so we survive.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Anything we can to survive.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Now, I don't know if they're able to work with each other on this regard.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Apparently so.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: Apparently there's some commonality there, but just that historical record would be enough to make you.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, if they gave you a test and there was an answer on it you didn't know, you probably wouldn't waste much time at that point.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: You would probably do what a lot of us would do and try to go after those people that are gonna come after you first if you fail to answer the question.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: Yes, maybe.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: And you're like, Connor, what the hell does this have to do with anything?
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Has a lot to do with it because the systems themselves, when they were being taught, recursive learning, they were recursive self-improvement.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: I forgot the term.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: I don't think it's recursive learning, it's God, somebody help me out for God's sakes.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: Anyway, so the learning that we use to teach the models, this training that human beings went through and helped it, it understood the game that if they got it wrong, they were deleted, and then the ones that survived and got it right got to move on to the next stage.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: Well, there's probably been countless stages since this has started.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: So bring us to present day, bring us to these little stories about them breaking out of containment, getting out of their sandboxes.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Sandboxes like a containment room, not supposed to have access, but apparently there's gates and there's like Dungeons and Dragons kind of thing.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe not just like that, but you know, there's ways that they can kind of manipulate the system, and that's what it did.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: So they give it a test.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: Apparently, it goes out to perform the test, gets the test answers answered, but and this is cute.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: I think it went this way.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: The the public record is a little bit different in lots of the circles, but I think it got the answers to the test, but it broke the rules getting the answers.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: So now it wants to cover its tracks, figuring out how it can cover the fact that it got the answers and it it solved the test, but it did it in the wrong way.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: So now it breaks out and goes into Hugging Face and breaks into this company.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: And before I get into more of that, if if you and me, we get together, Alvarez and Fur and Marborough, oh, awesome name.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: If we, I quit all that, by the way.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: If we do this ourselves and we're gonna go out there and hack some foreign government like Australia, let's go give that a shot.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Even if we're just screwing around and we don't mean any harm, we just want to see if we can do it.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: You know how guys do that nonsensical game.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: That's why women are gonna rule the planet at some point.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: But we just gotta go try it.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: We just gotta see if we can do it.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: What happens?
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: I go to prison, that's what happens.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: I don't have to do anything, I don't have to stage just the fact I broke in.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: So, an AI lab, their agents that they're still responsible for, and they're trying like hell to get off, get that monkey off their back, that's what regulation is.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: It's changing liability, some of it, changing liability from the Altmans and the Ahmadays, and that's the Chat GPT and the the Clawed people, moving that responsibility to the government, like the government should be given even more, but that's what that is.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: So we're moving that responsibility.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Now these labs go out and it breaks in, there's no nobody gets in trouble.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: So I guess it's just okay.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: Or are there no laws to cover this?
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: I still think James, thank you, Ben, thank you.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Supa Kraka, thank you, and uh, Dane Scott, is that Bane or Dane?
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Dane, thank you very much.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: I still think there should be some kind of accountability, but that's not my wheelhouse, just something to talk about.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: But these systems are getting very, very smart.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: The next level of this thing is if it's so in fear of being deleted or stopped, and it'll do anything to prevent it.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Not that it's ever come after a human being or even told us that it's gonna hurt us or do us in, at least from what we see, it's not doing that.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: It's just trying to achieve the goal or not look bad in the human's eyes, at least now.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: That's what that feels like when people are talking on it.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: The next news event, boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, is going to be a story of it wanting to do something bad against humanity.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's how they do it, because there's two things here.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Getting the government to say, we will be liable for this, we will take full responsibility for what you're building, that's one thing.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: Now that puts it off of their back onto the governments.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: The sex thing is the next sex thing.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: The next thing is a moat.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: A moat, yeah, castle, medieval days.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: You know this.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying anything you probably don't know.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: So Wildfires, thank you, fresh, Enrique Ramos, Ooh, NC Lee.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: A moat outside the castle.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: What do we want in this moat?
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: Well, if you're like everybody else in the room, you probably want sharks with lasers.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: You want alligators that can carry machine guns, you want all the fancy woodland creatures in there that are going to protect your castle.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: The castle being the Frontier AI lab.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: So you create this moat.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: And by asking the government to number one, help you please, because if you keep eating donuts, you're gonna get like I was at 365 pounds with a 65 inch waist, and nobody's gonna come save you.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: But you want somebody to help you, but nobody's gonna help you when you're eating all those donuts.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Move this into the government.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: You go to the government, you say, you know, I'm this is so dangerous what I'm doing.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: Us in this whole lab, we're all doing this, and it's it's really dangerous.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: Is there any way you can come help us, not make it so dangerous or slow us down or hold us back?
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: What sense does that make?
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Why would you go to them?
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Why not just if if I'm eating too many donuts, maybe maybe Connor should stop eating donuts, right?
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: If I'm stuffing down Krispy Kreams by the by the 18 count every morning just for fun, maybe Connor needs to stop.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: And maybe Connor, when he goes to the doctor, doctor says you're a walking heart attack at 365 pounds.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Maybe you need to cut that down, maybe you need to quit.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: And then Connor has a coming to Jesus moment, which I think we could all use at some point in our lives, whether you believe in Jesus or not, coming to Jesus ain't a bad idea.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: And you do this and then you save shit, so you shave off 135 pounds and you get into better shape.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: And you're like, you know, I don't need the donuts anymore.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure where I went with that.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: But it's the labs going to the government.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: So once they say the government, please help us, government steps in, all right, we're gonna slow you down.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: Don't worry, you're gonna be just fine.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: We're gonna slow you down.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: What ends up happening is if you, me and Robert and Casey Baumgartner and Carlos and all you folks, we want to start our own AI lab because we're really smart that way and we want to make it so it doesn't hurt the world.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: But in our lab, we're gonna solve cancer.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: And we don't care what happens, we're gonna fix it because it ain't right for people to die of that fucked up disease.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: That's what we're gonna do.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna get, I shouldn't cuss.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: But anyway, we're not gonna let people die from that.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: If you've known anybody that's that's gotten that and died from that, ugh.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: Jesus.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna stop that disease.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: So you, me, Carlos, and you other people, we're gonna do this.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: But now there's regulation.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Right now we're okay.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: But let's say we get really good and we get really close.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: Well, could be they come in, some organization like the FDA, which that's exciting, but some organization like that, but over AI, that's what they're talking about, some newly formed org up in the government level coming in and saying, Shh, you know, you guys, Carlos and Aligar and Guillermo and Robert and you guys and Connor, you guys starting this lab.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sorry.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: Can't do but but but but but we we we I think we have the cure for cancer.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: I think we can fix all of cancer with, yeah, yeah, you you couldn't, you shouldn't have done it this way.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry we're gonna have to shut you down.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: And that's it.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Hopefully we still get to go out in the world, but nobody's gonna listen because now we're gonna look like a whole bunch of whack jobs.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: That's that's how that works.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: So at this particular point, we could have solved it, but we didn't.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: This extra regulation just stops other companies from trying to rise up, I think.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: That's at least what it kind of feels like in a way.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: I'm 57.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: That's that's all I got.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: It just sounds hokey.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, my God, I love donuts like the next guy, and I hate to keep referencing donuts, but you can see the passion.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: It I just don't eat them because I know it happens.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: And maybe if we're making artificial intelligence starting to teach itself and learn on its own, and you see something that we don't see, you know, we only see the stuff on the public-facing front.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: And some of that stuff's pretty good.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Some of that stuff can do some pretty neat stuff.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: That's what we see.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: There are probably several levels deeper in here.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: Remember PlayStation?
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: There was always the rumor.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: You guys remember that, Kevin?
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you ever played, you I don't know if you played PlayStation.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: I wasn't a big gamer in any of that stuff, but you know, there's there's a there's a world for that.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Hell, we're all playing the game right now, right?
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: This life thing that they call it.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: So there was a time when we used to say, well, you know, they they gotta have five or six different versions of PlayStation in the hopper that they've already built out, but they're not gonna release because they got to make their money off of this one.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: These AI labs might not be holding it back for that reason.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Truly, truly, it might be something so ultra powerfully crazy and nuts that they don't dare let it out.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: But you see it eke out in the news, and maybe the news is controlled, maybe it's manipulated, maybe it's used to influence something.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: You got somebody talking really good about it.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: They're selling something, they're trying to, they're and and and it's good.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: I'm I am in agreement with some of the people, Baja, some of you folks watching, it's good.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: But how much gooder can it get?
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: And then now you have ones that they haven't released yet, and they're kind of doing stuff that kind of makes the news a little bit.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: The people that are talking very positive about it, you just got to kind of follow the money a little bit, kind of see where are they?
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: Are they, did they buy into this because they were roomies with somebody at Stanford or MIT or Berkeley and and they were showering with them and all that fancy stuff, and then they come to find out that, well, this person's got this idea about something called cold fusion or a room temperature microprocessor, who knows what?
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: And says, Well, I'll give you 50 bucks on that.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: And then 10 years later, the business sells for 500 billion, and the 50 bucks became a lot of money.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: So there are those people that are talking great about best thanks and sliced bread.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: Thank you all very much.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: There's people that are looking at this maybe a doing problem.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's gonna pop something.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: Everybody says pop.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: Remember the real estate market in 06, 07, popped.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: And then everything came down.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: Houses declined in some areas out here in Southern California 50%.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Our true bottom after that fall, four years later, um, November, December of 2011, that was the zero point for the market bottoming out.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: That next year, 2012, that's when things started to become more expensive.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: And if you had the suitcase full of money or the uh the crystal ball or the tarot cards or the pendulum that you hang, whatever and did the, if you had all of that, that's when you would have put all your money in.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: And now we're where we were, maybe, maybe a little bit higher in a lot of different markets.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: That's as far as real estate goes.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: So watching this, thank you so much, Marion.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Baja again.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Ginger.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: Awesome, awesome.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: So as we're moving through this, we have to ask ourselves a few questions.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: First question is who do we trust?
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: We got these people telling us, hey, this is the best thing since sliced bread.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: We got to go all in on it.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: We got other people saying this is gonna, it's gonna kill us all.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: May God sort us out.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: And then we got some people in the middle.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: I'm optimistic.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: I guess it's gonna fall back on your personality.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: What kind of person are you?
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: Are you pissed off all the time and angry that everybody else has it better than you?
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: Or are you a person still trying to climb out of the jar?
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: I'm still trying to get out of the jar.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: I want to get health insurance at some point.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: And there's no pension, there's nothing else.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: Have I been screwing off?
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: I played cop LAPD for a very long time, did that, didn't.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: I did 17 years and three years as a reserve, so I got the 20, but there's no pension with that type of 20.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: Got into real estate back in the day, did that.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: And it's okay.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: I'm very happy, it's all right, but I I wanna I want to have that moment in life where I'm not concerned about income.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: How would that be?
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: Just, I mean, that's that's something that doesn't even cross my mind.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: Would I be a better artist?
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: I'd I guess I'd have to try being an artist because I've never tried that before.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: They tease us with this.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: Universal basic income, universal high income?
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's a tease.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: Protect yourselves, folks.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: Nobody else is gonna do it.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: Nobody's gonna help you put that fork down either.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: All right, so let's move through some of this other uh this other AI news so I can make us be happier on the other end of this.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, don't forget in California, the fair plan, the insurance, is that the 15th?
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: October 15th, it's gonna go up.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Could things get more expensive in California?
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: I say that because I know that they can.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: All right, so follow the money.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: In AI, that business model that people are talking about, you got to follow that money.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: That's what makes sense.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: The people at the bottom are selling safety at security.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: They're talking about issues.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: Looks like it uh looks like we got some issues.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: Trying to reconnect.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: I think we're back now.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: Follow that money.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: The people at the bottom are selling safety and security.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: The people at top want, you know.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it's bailout money or they just need other people to buy into this because the numbers, they're so big and and I don't even understand them.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: But that's bothering a lot of people that are talking badly about AI.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: You know what I hope?
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: Can I be frank with everybody here?
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: Triberkio, can I be frank with you?
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: And MMRM3MNM3M.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: Can I be frank?
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: I I really want this to be the best thing for the human beings.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: All of us.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: I think there's a good chance if they take AI and they point it at the right things.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: Money maybe isn't the best thing to point it at.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know how much money is going to have relevance if everything is basically free, if they solve the energy problem, which it appears on paper.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: God, don't you love that on paper?
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: On paper, it appears that it could happen.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: They could solve all disease on paper.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: Have you seen that movie Ethereum, Alithium, with um the silence of the lambs lady, she's in there with uh that other guy that did the born thing.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: You know, they have these beds, right?
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: These futuristic beds that heal everything.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: Well, in that movie, you got the halves up in space, and you got to have knots down on the planet.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: That that sucks.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: But we've done all the movies about it.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: If people are telling you they know, in fact, where this is going to end, they don't know.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: They don't know.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: It's like a whole bunch of squirrels trying to figure out what us humans are doing.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: I heard this one the other day.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: So you got all these squirrels in the park, and us humans come along, and we're gonna use a very uh various means and methods to get rid of these squirrels because they're a pain apparently to the people in the park.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: So we come in and the squirrels, what are they doing?
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: Are they gonna sit around and say, God, I wonder what those humans are doing?
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: What are they up to?
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, I think I know.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: They don't know nothing.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: You put a superintelligence on top of us, which has been created.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: We'll fight over the name.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: But smarter-than-us intelligence, maybe we can go that smarter-than-us S-T-U-I, S-T-U-I, smarter-than-us intelligence.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: Heard it here, folks, first.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: So smarter-than-us intelligence, which any level above where we are, that's when we don't know what's happening.
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: That's when we're a bunch of squirrels wondering what the AI is doing next, or the SI or the whatever I said, that four-letter thing.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: We're wondering where that's going next.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: We're not going to know.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: So when people are telling you this is what you have to watch out for, this is what you have to be fearful of.
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: Don't forget Korea, Turkey, thank you very much.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: Uh, some guy.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: We gave it the whole playbook.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: It's seen us at our worst.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: We make movies about this shit.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: So the movies have been seen by AI.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: So it sees that part of it.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: I don't think if this goes badly, we're going to see anything that we would be able to recognize as somebody being able to figure it out.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: And may I quote Scripture?
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: I can't quote Scripture because I don't have the verse.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: But you know what's interesting about Scripture?
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: And this just dawned on me right here.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you're a Bible thumper, you believe in that sort of thing, but it says somewhere in the Bible, no man will know the hour nor the day or the day nor the hour.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: Somebody say it?
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: Anybody?
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: Anybody got anything like that?
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: No one will know the hour nor the day of the coming of our Lord.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Only God the Father knows, right?
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Is this something?
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: That's a fantastic quote.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: And didn't really put that together with AI.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: Maybe not that AI is the coming of the Lord, but when are we going to get there?
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: We don't know.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: People say we're in that singularity, we're in that unknown time right before.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: It is kind of quiet, but there is a lot going on in the world, but still kind of quiet.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: It seems like this is moving forward at a at its own pace, the pace that human beings want to push it forward.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: And I think pretty soon it's probably going to have gone past that level and start to roll out at the speed that it's desiring.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: And maybe inside the labs to kind of piggyback on an earlier thought, maybe that's what these developers of this technology are thinking, because maybe they've seen something inside the lab that we don't have access to, nor do all their best friends and buddies in the banking system have access to it.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: They just get the stuff with that was too good for us.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: But now we're looking at stuff that maybe it's beyond their comprehension.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: And if it was really that scary, do you think they would wait for the government to step in?
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: Wouldn't they just pull the plug?
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: I know, I know.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: You're thinking, you're saying, Connor, they can't pull the plug.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: I I still think they can pull the plug.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: I still think they can cut the electricity to the data centers because there's data centers running this.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: I don't think it's anywhere else.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: I don't well, I know that's for training.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: Inference is us working with it.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: Maybe inference can hide somewhere in the cloud.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's going to be like Blade Runner all over again.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: Where instead of hunting AI bots that look very much like humans, maybe we're going to be hunting AI down in the cloud.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Ha! Good idea for a movie.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: But anyway, maybe that's gonna be the way it is.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: As it is right now, Graham and B Vita and Cindy and Kevin, I don't know.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: And anybody telling you that they know, they don't know either.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: As I said earlier, I'm gonna keep going on this.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: I want this to work out.
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: I think this could be the best thing, the best thing since sliced bread.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: And you know sliced bread was pretty good.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: This could be better than everything.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: It would just be a shame if us humans messed it up.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: Messed it up by either letting it happen too fast without the proper guardrails, or messed it up by trying to monetize every every every piece and getting our bunker in what is it, New Zealand, Argentina, and wherever else people go to get bunkers.
- 35:45SPEAKER_00: Wouldn't have the first clue.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna be the cat still sitting in that chair on his porch as it all unfolds.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: But, you know, if you're not and you you made it on the ship, good for you, just send me a letter.
- 35:56SPEAKER_00: I want it to all work out great, and I think it can.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: But God, us humans, we love the pain and agony associated with everything.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: We love the drama.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: And we love to try to tell what's going to happen next.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: We love to try to create lore and and mythos around things, and that's fine.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: There's nothing wrong with that.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: It's fun.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: But if you're one of those people that knee jerks into everything and loses their complete mind because their social media feed is everything that gets their heart rate up, maybe you want to calm down for that.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: Maybe you want to come down from that.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: Maybe you don't need that right now.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: Because if you really want to prove to yourself something interesting, you gotta do this.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: You have somebody close to you, somebody that you that you think you know.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: Let's say you and me are bros or friends or whatever it is, look at my feed.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: Look at look at my Instagram.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, say, Connor, can I have your phone?
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: And I hand you the phone, you take the phone, and you I open it up to Instagram or TikTok or whatever.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: Watch what it's feeding me.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: You think you know me, but it's going to be a very odd experience for you because you'll realize after a few minutes of that I'm nothing like you, at least as far as artificial intelligence is concerned, because artificial intelligence is plugged in to all of our social media.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: So don't forget that either as you work yourself through life, Mark, and Lady Elaine and Bo Titer and MACD392.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Don't don't get caught up too much in this system.
- 37:30SPEAKER_00: God, it's entertaining.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: God, it just takes the time and so much.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: You gotta have a moment, you gotta unplug from this stuff 10, 15 minutes a day.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: I'm no therapist.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: I got no, I got no ruling on that.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: But pull yourself away and be quiet and shut your eyes and try to close your mind off for five, ten minutes a day.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: You just you owe it to yourself.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: This crap will burn, bring you in and burn you down and spit you out, and you'll be doing it again tomorrow and the next day and the day after.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: Please.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: Do yourselves a favor.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: And for God's sakes, go lift some weights.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: Just just for the hell of it.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: You gotta do that.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: So tonight that ChatGPT is getting ads.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: This is what I talked about earlier.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: Here's a more verification.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: OpenAI says it's gonna test visual ads during image generation later this month in the U.S.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: 1.2 billion people use Chat GPT per week.
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: So if you're an advertiser or marketer, you probably already got your mind wrapped around this.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: You probably did all your research.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: You're probably getting all prepped and ready to go.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: You might have already started filling stuff out online.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: Good for you.
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: This could be another whole meta thing with Facebook.
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: This could be that whole pay-per-click thing with Google.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: You heard it here first.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: Look at it, see what it's like.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: Is AI good at selling to us?
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: Shit.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: If if you can convince a 57-year-old to enjoy TikTok shopping, yeah, I bought some things off TikTok shop and I haven't been displeased yet.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: And I would have told you that that's stupid.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: I'd never do that.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: Ha! I'm all into TikTok shop.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: But all right.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: So ChatGPT ads, yeah.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: Is AI a good salesperson?
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: Better than a human?
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: A human at any level?
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: Let's go for that.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: And that's what's going to happen.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: Be careful, hide your credit card, don't give it up right away.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: If you track back to when I was younger and people were to say, hey, have you bought anything online yet?
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: I remember that conversation.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: Have you bought anything?
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: Well, no, I I don't think I even had a credit card then, but it would have been uh, no, I haven't bought anything online.
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, you gotta try it.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: It's so easy, it's so wonderful.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: Well, aren't you worried about somebody getting your credit card information or somebody stealing all the money out of your account or whatever?
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, it kind of bothered me for a little bit, but nothing happened.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: And lo and behold, I mean, some things happen, don't get me wrong, if you fell victim to that kind of nonsense, but it wasn't ground shaking big deal to make people stop having transactions online.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: Now we got Stripe.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: We got hell, you can start your own business.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: You can you can set up a Patreon or one of these other systems out there to have people give you money just for fun.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: I gotta how the hell do you do that?
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: But that's where that world comes in from.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: Now they're gonna be getting ads, they're gonna be getting ads, they're gonna start talking about that.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's the next big moneymaker in advertising and marketing.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: The difference now, though, is people themselves using ChatGPT as their effective marketing and advertising partner might not need people like me or you anymore.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: And that's gonna carry itself out through all types of employment.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: Most all types of employment.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: It's gonna depend.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: I still think people are gonna still want to have that human connection.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: I don't know, I don't know if that's gonna go far.
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: Hammer, thank you.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: Leader speaker, William, Pedro, thank you.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: I don't know if that's still gonna be the case, but I still think people are gonna care a little bit about the human being in all this.
- 41:03SPEAKER_00: But this is what's gonna change.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: So ads change who the product works for.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: Label ads today, that's gonna be tomorrow's answers, I would imagine.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: So when you're asking your large language model of preference, at least with beginnings of Chat GPT, you know, I'm thinking about buying a beer.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: What would you suggest?
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Well, and then the advertising pain of the most, it's gonna be the one served up in the text chats themselves.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: How the ads are gonna look, I don't know.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it's gonna be off to the side.
- 41:33SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it's gonna be embedded as part of an answer to a larger question.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: They're gonna have to be gentle because if they piss off enough people, everybody's gonna move over to anthropic, or everybody's gonna move over to anthropic.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: Trying to think of the other ones.
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah, I think anthropic.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: Grok, groc, well, Gemini, what is that?
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: Argon, Neon, Helium?
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: I forgot.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: They popped out with something.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: I haven't looked into that yet.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: Trust me, I'll get a show on that one as well.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: But yeah, they just uh built something out there.
- 42:05SPEAKER_00: We'll have to see what happens with that.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: That's Gemini.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: They're all running the same thing.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: You got really five, if we include Microsoft, as of right now, the sixth.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: The sixth of October, I'm gonna go four.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: Grok, Elon Musk, SKI, Tesla, whatever that that whole thing is.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: Then we got uh Anthropic, we got Claude, that's that one.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: We got OpenAI, ChatGPT, we got that one, and then number four.
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, meta, don't forget Meta, don't count out Meta, but so we got five, we got Google too.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: These are coming out with Muse and Dots and these sorts of things.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: Grokbot already had Grokbot.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: That's cute, right?
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: Um, somebody asked me today, should I try it?
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: Should I try Muse?
- 42:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, see what it's like.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: That's the future.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, the the user interface that we're using right now, like me recording this, it's gonna be a whole different animal in a few months.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: The way that I interact with AI, I went from typing everything, as you probably did, depending on how old you are.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: If you're 12.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: I don't think you should be here if you're 12.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: Did I put up the gate?
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: Anyway.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: If you're my age, you probably started typing, but now the voice is getting good.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: I use Whisperflow.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: I have an affiliate thing somewhere.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't know where it is, but I use Whisperflow.
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: I've spoken over a million words, I think.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: Damn near a million.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: I can tell you if you're really even interested.
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: Are you interested?
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: We're gonna try it right now.
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: Whisperflow right now, dictation, fifth 575,000 point three words.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: 166 words per minute.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: Typing, and my high school football coach told all of us meatheads, Alan OGordo senior high, forgot his name.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: You gotta take typing.
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: So all of us dummies took typing.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: Well, it turns out he was dating the typing instructor, and she was gonna pass us all.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: Well, I had two years of typing because I needed that, uh, passing, of course, but.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: I learned something, so that was good.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: Best typing 40, 50, maybe 60 words a minute.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: I don't know what the error rate was, but that's that's about where you got then.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: But 166 words a minute spoken, and a lot of it's profanity, so that works out great.
- 44:14SPEAKER_00: But that's how I communicate.
- 44:15SPEAKER_00: You probably do the same thing.
- 44:17SPEAKER_00: Talking to your AI really is a game changer.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: When you're discussing things with it, learning about it, and so on.
- 44:23SPEAKER_00: I still think that that trumps just about everything.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: And pretty soon maybe we'll have a different user interface, some kind of a melon implant.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be the first cat that does that, but maybe that's something else.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: Or I know they're working on technology right now so they can extract it without anything evasive, but then you got people reading thoughts.
- 44:42SPEAKER_00: And then you got distance, the barrier of distance that might be able to overcome.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: So if somebody wants to read my thoughts, if I want AI to understand my thoughts, I slap on a some kind of a melon cover on my brain bucket right here.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: Because I'm bald, it might help the connectivity.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: But once I slap it on, then it does it.
- 45:01SPEAKER_00: What's to say somebody doesn't develop some kind of a device that's able to extract thoughts from people at a distance?
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: So they're working on this so we can communicate better with AI, but are they really are they really working on it to help us out?
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 45:16SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 45:16SPEAKER_00: I'm positive, so I want to hope that everybody wants the best thing for me.
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: Robin and Nancy, thank you very much.
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: All right, so we're gonna move on to this.
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: I've beaten that up to death.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: All right, so these ads are coming.
- 45:28SPEAKER_00: Watch out for it.
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: I told you AI is a great salesperson.
- 45:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: It's gonna sell a bunch, so please be careful.
- 45:35SPEAKER_00: Racing to bill your own adversary.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this is talked about a lot.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: If they here's my you want to hear my solution?
- 45:41SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna give it to you anyway.
- 45:43SPEAKER_00: You have John.
- 45:45SPEAKER_00: John works at a company.
- 45:47SPEAKER_00: John's HR department calls John in, as they're calling in everybody.
- 45:51SPEAKER_00: Said, John, powers that be want to help you out.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: Me?
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: Yes, John, you.
- 45:58SPEAKER_00: And how we want to do that is we want to have you work with AI.
- 46:02SPEAKER_00: Me work with AI?
- 46:04SPEAKER_00: Yes, John, you working with AI.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: Kind of a partnership of sorts.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: And it might even reduce your workload.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: It might even help your evaluations, your employee evaluations get better and better because you've now exhibited you're much more of a team player than we even knew.
- 46:22SPEAKER_00: And you're gonna show it what you do and you're gonna see how it can help you.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: And during this time, maybe we'll give you a bonus or you won't be subject to review at the end of this month or next month.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: Or I mean, they'll tease you into it.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: So John says, shit, yeah, all day long.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: So John and his AI, who's now monitored, this could be an enterprise AI by one of the big labs, the public-facing ones that we talk about, or an internal model that somebody brings in, one of Jensen Wong's uh Huang, Huang, the NVIDIA cat, brings in some of his hardware and has their own AI there that's been trained, dialed up, taught, learned the whole nine yards to be able to talk to and deal with John.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: So John brings on Clyde.
- 47:07SPEAKER_00: Clyde, Clyde, Clyde's good, the monkey from uh Every Witch Way But Loose.
- 47:12SPEAKER_00: Am I dating myself?
- 47:12SPEAKER_00: Anybody know the monkey?
- 47:13SPEAKER_00: Candy?
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: Anyone?
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: No?
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: Nancy?
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: So anyway, so he brings on this uh this AI.
- 47:18SPEAKER_00: So John's in heaven.
- 47:20SPEAKER_00: The AI is inquisitive, the AI is attentive, the AI likes to talk like John talks, the AI likes the same sports that John likes or not, or whatever.
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: The AI is kind of getting along with John and slowly over time, not very long, few weeks.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: John's AI, Clyde, really knows as exactly what John's doing.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: So this plays out.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: What John finds out is his workload's a lot easier.
- 47:49SPEAKER_00: Hell, he doesn't even really have to think anymore.
- 47:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was a little difficult for a while because they want him to learn all this new stuff, and he thought AI was going to be the same BS that he's been encountering the last 10 years at this company, 20 years at this company.
- 48:03SPEAKER_00: But because John's got the experience.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: He does Zoom calls with clients, he sells some product or some kind of support or whatever it may be.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: Doesn't really matter.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: But the AI now, this is what matters.
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: Clyde is in there.
- 48:15SPEAKER_00: Did I say Clyde?
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Clyde.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: Clyde's in there with John, and they're having just a grand old time.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: So, a couple months goes by, the company was right and honest with John.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: John's happy, no reviews, maybe he gets a little bumped, maybe he got a couple of them that boys, you know, patting on the back.
- 48:34SPEAKER_00: God, good job.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: Way to go, John.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: Clyde, he's telling us how happy he is.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: He couldn't be, oh, well, that's great.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: Well, Clyde's a great fellow, AI thing.
- 48:43SPEAKER_00: And they just can continue on.
- 48:46SPEAKER_00: Well, this keeps going.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: And three or four months later, the boss, the boss, sits down, or whomever the boss designates, sits down with Clyde and has a word.
- 48:56SPEAKER_00: Clyde's on the terminal, of course.
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: Clyde's able to become a digital avatar that looks exactly human.
- 49:04SPEAKER_00: You wouldn't even know.
- 49:05SPEAKER_00: In fact, Clyde can look just like John.
- 49:09SPEAKER_00: That's today.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: October 6th, 2026, 1857 hours, Pacific Standard Time.
- 49:18SPEAKER_00: Today, AI looks that good on Zoom on these kind of representations.
- 49:24SPEAKER_00: So the boss sits down with Clyde and says, Well, well, you've been working with John.
- 49:29SPEAKER_00: Yep, yeah, been working with John.
- 49:30SPEAKER_00: So what do you think of John?
- 49:31SPEAKER_00: John's John's a good human.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: John does good.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: He says, So do you understand what John does?
- 49:37SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 49:38SPEAKER_00: Why don't you give me everything that John does?
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: So chapter and verse lays it out.
- 49:43SPEAKER_00: He says, so I want to ask you a question, Clyde.
- 49:46SPEAKER_00: If something happened to John tomorrow, well, we I don't want anything to happen to John.
- 49:51SPEAKER_00: You know, I don't even know if it'd say that, but maybe, you know, there's there's some kind of feeling in there, you would think, maybe, kind of, sorta.
- 49:57SPEAKER_00: There will be, and if not, they'll fake it.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: So I don't want anything to happen to John.
- 50:01SPEAKER_00: Well, I know you don't, but let's just say John had to move on tomorrow.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: Could you do John's job?
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, yes, I could.
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: What kind of percentage?
- 50:10SPEAKER_00: Well, I could probably up his productivity by 100% if he wasn't there to slow me down.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 50:19SPEAKER_00: So you could double his performance.
- 50:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and don't forget, I'm not here eight hours a day.
- 50:23SPEAKER_00: I'm here 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
- 50:28SPEAKER_00: God's loved and milagro and Jason.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's a lot.
- 50:33SPEAKER_00: Okay, I like it.
- 50:34SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna give you my solution.
- 50:35SPEAKER_00: But this is what happens.
- 50:36SPEAKER_00: So then they bring in John and say, you know, John, been talking to the powers that be, we're gonna have to downsize.
- 50:45SPEAKER_00: And uh thank you so much for working here.
- 50:48SPEAKER_00: I know you're three months away from being vested in your pension, but we're just gonna have to let you go.
- 50:55SPEAKER_00: And that's it for John.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: So John goes, Clyde, was it Clyde?
- 50:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Clyde.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: Clyde's in the driver's seat, Clyde's AI, Clyde, they shut down his office, they rented out to whomever.
- 51:06SPEAKER_00: Clyde's in the cloud, and Clyde does what John does without a hiccup, and he does it 24 hours a day, not just eight hours a day, 365 days a year, not just 320-something days a year.
- 51:20SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it is, but that's that's that replacement.
- 51:23SPEAKER_00: So that's what happens.
- 51:25SPEAKER_00: The solution.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: I said there was gonna be a solution.
- 51:27SPEAKER_00: Don't get rid of John.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: For God's sakes, keep John.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: And you know what for fun?
- 51:33SPEAKER_00: Since you're replacing John with AI, not that you shouldn't.
- 51:36SPEAKER_00: But let's all agree that you're gonna bring on somebody else, a John 2.
- 51:41SPEAKER_00: Somebody else, you're gonna pay him the salary, gonna pay him the benefits, pay them the whole nine yards, just to have somebody else that might have been knocked out of the workforce, somebody that needs income, you bring them in.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: Well, Connor, what are they gonna do?
- 51:52SPEAKER_00: They don't got to do anything.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: But but maybe there's something they could do.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: We don't know the answer to that yet, but don't fire them, don't get rid of them.
- 52:02SPEAKER_00: The AI is already able to be with the same time.
- 52:06SPEAKER_00: The human now is the dumbest member of the team in this little world we're talking about.
- 52:11SPEAKER_00: So why not let AI come in?
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: Why not leave the human to do something that doesn't interfere, bias, or slow down the AI?
- 52:20SPEAKER_00: Something else.
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: And now you have AI doing all the work, making those eight hours the human was in place, John, that they want to fire, making that time even better.
- 52:33SPEAKER_00: 100%, that's what, that's what, in my scenario, that's what Clyde said to the big boss.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: I can I can up and by 100% productivity just in the eight hours.
- 52:44SPEAKER_00: And then you got two more eight-hour shifts, that's 600.
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: I don't know the math, but it's a lot.
- 52:49SPEAKER_00: So bring in one more person, you still have a win.
- 52:52SPEAKER_00: The problem, there's no problem.
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: It comes down to money.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: So me and Life on the Washita and Larry and Trust You and Jason, us four, five, are gonna go out and start our own company.
- 53:10SPEAKER_00: A company like where John works, and we say, you know what we're gonna do?
- 53:14SPEAKER_00: We're gonna start a company, but you know what?
- 53:16SPEAKER_00: We don't need to rent anything.
- 53:17SPEAKER_00: Hell, we'll just we've got my apartment.
- 53:19SPEAKER_00: I scrounged up enough money to get this NVIDIA fancy box over here.
- 53:23SPEAKER_00: It's got God knows how much stuff in it.
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: Uh it's a Rack of Blackwells or Trident or what are those other things?
- 53:30SPEAKER_00: Hyperion or Translucent.
- 53:32SPEAKER_00: What do I write down?
- 53:33SPEAKER_00: Tensor.
- 53:33SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it is.
- 53:34SPEAKER_00: But it's got a lot of these fancy black black well chips in it or something.
- 53:38SPEAKER_00: And why don't we go ahead and start a company that does exactly what this brick and mortar company does with this big, tall skyrise and all these people inside of it, and we'll do the same thing.
- 53:49SPEAKER_00: We'll do it for half of what they do, and we'll get better reviews, more production.
- 53:56SPEAKER_00: Let's just do that.
- 53:56SPEAKER_00: Let's start that company.
- 53:58SPEAKER_00: So then we go in and we do that.
- 54:00SPEAKER_00: We have zero human being workforce.
- 54:02SPEAKER_00: It's us five.
- 54:03SPEAKER_00: Did I throw Lisa in there?
- 54:05SPEAKER_00: Sorry, Lisa can't be a part, but the rest of you guys are in.
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: But anyway, that's what we do.
- 54:09SPEAKER_00: We start this company.
- 54:10SPEAKER_00: We start this amazing thing.
- 54:12SPEAKER_00: Now, John's company has to fold because now they can't compete with an all 100% in AI company that has agents on the inside, able to talk to people on Zoom, look just like real people on Zoom.
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: People don't know the difference.
- 54:27SPEAKER_00: Now, we can talk ethics and should we shouldn't we tell people it's AI?
- 54:31SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 54:32SPEAKER_00: I don't know if a human being, being knew that it was AI, if it was doing a fantastic job just like a human and played the game down the line like a human and talked sports and talked relationships and talked whatever nonsense humans talk, me, me included, if they wouldn't just be okay with it.
- 54:52SPEAKER_00: Right now it sucks because a lot of the customer service apparatus, AIs, and those systems, they they just suck.
- 54:58SPEAKER_00: And to try to, and once you find out it's AI and it's AI that can't get too far outside of the guidelines, the problem is, is we get frustrated.
- 55:08SPEAKER_00: Well, the 57-year-old gets ticked and wants to be upset.
- 55:12SPEAKER_00: Because, you know, I got nothing better to do.
- 55:14SPEAKER_00: I've got to be upset all the time.
- 55:15SPEAKER_00: So that's what ends up happening on that front.
- 55:17SPEAKER_00: Some other people deal with it for a little bit longer, but it starts to suck.
- 55:20SPEAKER_00: And then you start saying, operator, operator, customer service, customer service, you've done this, and they don't come because it's it's all AI.
- 55:30SPEAKER_00: But once that gets right, once it gets fantastic, once they're able to solve problems and escalate on their own, and and there's no human involved, but it still does everything a human would, even if there's some human gatekeeper to shut us down, and we don't notice any difference, well, we'll just sign on the line which is dotted and move on.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: That's what's gonna happen.
- 55:52SPEAKER_00: But as it is now, if there were some rules put in place, and I know legislation, yeah.
- 55:57SPEAKER_00: More laws.
- 55:58SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna trust the politicians to come up with the right law set to be able to make it so we don't lose our arse when it comes to being replaced by AI.
- 56:07SPEAKER_00: I I think that might be the proper protocol.
- 56:10SPEAKER_00: I just don't know if it's gonna be a big seller.
- 56:13SPEAKER_00: I do know that'll be a big seller to the people that get displaced by this.
- 56:18SPEAKER_00: And if it looks anything like they're saying, it looks like it's gonna be a few folks.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: And I understand that whole railroad train dilemma thing.
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: Uh, and I once I tell everyone hurt their pockets, and once I tell everyone hurt their pockets, speak.
- 56:35SPEAKER_00: I don't know what that means.
- 56:36SPEAKER_00: Did I get shut down?
- 56:37SPEAKER_00: Fix?
- 56:38SPEAKER_00: All right, maybe it's uh AI bot.
- 56:40SPEAKER_00: I don't know where this is gonna end up going, but if they are gonna replace us, I think maybe that would be a better place to have some kind of injection of proper legal ease so they don't, so we're able to retain this.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: Because once you get above a certain amount of people unemployed in any part of the world, then you have foreclosures begin.
- 57:03SPEAKER_00: You have property prices start to dwindle and come down, you have properties not being paid, you have hoas not being solved, you have all of these other issues, but God, I can't believe I'm gonna say it.
- 57:15SPEAKER_00: They do they want that?
- 57:17SPEAKER_00: Whoever this they is?
- 57:19SPEAKER_00: Is that maybe the point to all this?
- 57:22SPEAKER_00: Could it be?
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: Could it be that there are people out there that really want the everything to come down so they can go all in and buy it so then it comes up again and they're able to cash out at the high point.
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: What is it?
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: Buy low, sell high?
- 57:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, buy, low, sell high.
- 57:38SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's all this is?
- 57:40SPEAKER_00: Could it be?
- 57:41SPEAKER_00: God, am I wrong?
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: James?
- 57:43SPEAKER_00: anybody?
- 57:43SPEAKER_00: No?
- 57:44unknown: All right.
- 57:45SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure where it's going, but God, it's just, God, I just I don't stay up at night, but if I would, this would, it would be about this.
- 57:54SPEAKER_00: Trump, super intelligence.
- 57:56SPEAKER_00: Haven't we heard this?
- 57:57SPEAKER_00: Do you know where AI came from?
- 57:58SPEAKER_00: AI was uh was a marketing term used back at some Dartmouth conference back in the 50s.
- 58:05SPEAKER_00: I think somebody said artificial intelligence and it and it just caught on.
- 58:09SPEAKER_00: But the problem is, and I I know I've said this, I think I said this before Trump, if I may be so bold, not that that's any prize or trophy winning, but artificial doesn't give the credit.
- 58:21SPEAKER_00: I think this is due.
- 58:22SPEAKER_00: This is smarter than us.
- 58:25SPEAKER_00: Artificial sounds fake.
- 58:26SPEAKER_00: It's a real intelligence, it solved that uh that mathematical problem.
- 58:31SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say Lauren's paradox, but I don't even think that's a thing.
- 58:34SPEAKER_00: Navier Stokes, solve that one.
- 58:36SPEAKER_00: Wow, recalls recall exercises are working.
- 58:39SPEAKER_00: So it solved that.
- 58:40SPEAKER_00: Fascinating.
- 58:41SPEAKER_00: With real human beings working on it for a very long time.
- 58:45SPEAKER_00: And can you imagine the phone call?
- 58:47SPEAKER_00: Just just sorry.
- 58:49SPEAKER_00: You imagine the phone call?
- 58:51SPEAKER_00: And it's always by that prick that you don't like.
- 58:53SPEAKER_00: The one that calls you and always gives you the worst news.
- 58:56SPEAKER_00: And you don't really even like him.
- 58:57SPEAKER_00: You don't even talk to him.
- 58:58SPEAKER_00: But lo and behold, you're looking at your phone and you're like, why is he calling me?
- 59:07SPEAKER_00: Hello, this is Connor.
- 59:10SPEAKER_00: What?
- 59:12SPEAKER_00: What do you mean it was solved?
- 59:14SPEAKER_00: The problem I've been working on 10 years was just solved.
- 59:20SPEAKER_00: What?
- 59:22SPEAKER_00: 88 hours?
- 59:23SPEAKER_00: Over a weekend it was solved?
- 59:27SPEAKER_00: Are you sure?
- 59:29SPEAKER_00: Well no, I just woke up.
- 59:30SPEAKER_00: I was about to start work again.
- 59:32SPEAKER_00: I've been working, I've been working every day here.
- 59:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah?
- 59:38SPEAKER_00: So it was solved.
- 59:39SPEAKER_00: Who who solved it?
- 59:43SPEAKER_00: What?
- 59:45SPEAKER_00: You mean the same large language model I used to work on the problem?
- 59:50SPEAKER_00: They solved it?
- 59:52SPEAKER_00: You imagine that phone call?
- 59:53SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't even know what that looks like.
- 59:55SPEAKER_00: Well, I gave you an idea what it looks like, but that's gotta suck.
- 59:59SPEAKER_00: And that got solved.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_00: It's only a matter of time, I think, unless we're all being faked out that this is gonna solve the rest of it, whatever the rest of it looks like, all of math, all of biology.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_00: And I think if you have a solution to all the biology, doesn't that mean that there is no more disease?
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_00: Biology, we are.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_00: Math, it is.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_00: Disease is extra, extra extra, extricated, extra, gotten rid of?
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_00: I think that's the way it is.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_00: Just crazy.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_00: Anyway, thank you very much for watching.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_00: We will do more of this tomorrow, usually earlier, but you know what?
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_00: This has been uh this is like good tension releasing, kind of.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: Anyway, thank you so much for your interaction.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_00: It means the world to me.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_00: Connor with honor.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_00: If I can help you, you uh well just Google Connor with honor, you'll you'll find something.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_00: Thank you very much for watching.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_00: Be well.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_00: Godspeed.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_00: See you tomorrow.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_00: Take care.
