- 0:02Speaker 1: Apostle Fermi Lazarus is a man raised by God to
- 0:06Speaker 1: demonstrate his wisdom and authority to the last day church.
- 0:10Speaker 1: He is the lead pastor of Sphere of Light Church
- 0:13Speaker 1: and God told him years ago that a time will
- 0:16Speaker 1: come where my wisdom will be needed to navigate tough
- 0:19Speaker 1: times in the body of Christ.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Then I will.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Cause your voice to be heard and all who pay
- 0:26Speaker 1: attention to my word on your lips will not lack
- 0:30Speaker 1: light and direction. He is a man sent from God,
- 0:35Speaker 1: sent to raise God's end time always. With Apostle Fermi Lazarus,
- 0:40Speaker 1: every minute counts as you listen attentively.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Father, we give you praise and we thank you because
- 0:51Speaker 2: there is none compared to you in all the earth
- 0:57Speaker 2: and there is none like you. You do wonders. You
- 1:04Speaker 2: perform miracles. So we give you praise. This morning in
- 1:11Speaker 2: a way only you can. Speak to us. Help our infirmities.
- 1:20Speaker 2: And strengthen our feeble knees again. We give you praise
- 1:26Speaker 2: dear Lord. In Jesus mighty name. Alright, good morning everybody.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I'll celebrate everyone from different of our centers. Good to
- 1:37Speaker 2: see you this morning. 1 Samuel chapter number 17. 1
- 1:45Speaker 2: Samuel chapter number 17. Turn your Bibles there. Now, this
- 1:53Speaker 2: is by far the most important series I'm taking this year.
- 2:00Speaker 2: And I need you to pay attention because for many
- 2:03Speaker 2: of you, it is not about catching up first. It's
- 2:06Speaker 2: about recovery. Alright? So please listen and listen good. Listen
- 2:13Speaker 2: and listen good. Alright, so 1 Samuel 17, we know
- 2:21Speaker 2: the story. The Israelites and the Philistines were gathered at
- 2:28Speaker 2: a place called Sokot. And we understand that Goliath challenged
- 2:37Speaker 2: the army of Israel for how many days? 40 days.
- 2:42Speaker 2: That is, he will wake up every morning to throw
- 2:45Speaker 2: a challenge. That is a month plus. Every day. And
- 2:50Speaker 2: what was the challenge? Let's have this battle the old way.
- 2:56Speaker 2: We don't have to fight in a barbaric manner. Give
- 2:59Speaker 2: me your champion and I will face the person. You see.
- 3:03Speaker 2: So first Samuel from verse. David began to show interest
- 3:11Speaker 2: in wanting to fight Goliath. And if you see the
- 3:14Speaker 2: way David was registering his interest, he was not saying
- 3:17Speaker 2: it like in case anything may happen. He was speaking
- 3:24Speaker 2: with a sense of certainty. See, there are things that
- 3:29Speaker 2: you have to be certain about. You cannot but be
- 3:34Speaker 2: certain about them. There are things you have to be
- 3:38Speaker 2: certain about. You have to be certain about good success.
- 3:44Speaker 2: You can't live a life of if I succeed. You
- 3:48Speaker 2: have to be certain about length of days. You can't
- 3:51Speaker 2: live a life of maybe if our life is long.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Or if it is short. That is where everything begins from.
- 3:57Speaker 2: The mindset. I watch boxing. I love boxing a lot.
- 4:12Speaker 2: There are... There are fighters that have what is called...
- 4:17Speaker 2: One punch knockout. That is... They have the ability.
- 4:22Speaker 3: To knock out their opponent. With one punch. If gotten
- 4:26Speaker 3: right timing. Right place.
- 4:30Speaker 2: So I was watching. I was listening. Because sometimes. Let
- 4:38Speaker 2: me give you a clue. There are certain things. That
- 4:42Speaker 2: you may not really find. In Christian literature. But you
- 4:47Speaker 2: can find them. In books written by coaches. Interviews by them.
- 4:52Speaker 2: It helps you to see life in a practical way.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Do you understand what I'm saying? That's just a secret
- 4:58Speaker 2: in case. If you will take that. So I was
- 5:02Speaker 2: listening to one of the former trainer of a world champion.
- 5:07Speaker 2: And he said something about him. He said, you know,
- 5:10Speaker 2: this guy is very good. And you know he's got
- 5:13Speaker 2: that one point to knock out. He said, but there's
- 5:16Speaker 2: something that you can't train for. He said, there's something
- 5:21Speaker 2: you can't train for, and that's the heart. He said,
- 5:25Speaker 2: he doesn't have the heart. He said, I can train
- 5:29Speaker 2: him in another area, but without that heart, those who
- 5:33Speaker 2: are less powerful than him will always beat him. And
- 5:39Speaker 2: several times, in fact, I had to stop supporting the
- 5:41Speaker 2: guy because, why are you disappointing me? I will stay
- 5:45Speaker 2: awake at night trying to understand what is going on.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Only for me to see you've been beaten again. What's that?
- 5:50Speaker 3: I follow champions.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I wonder why will someone who is this good and
- 5:55Speaker 2: this powerful enter the ring with so much timidity? You
- 6:01Speaker 2: can't buy the heart. Alright?
- 6:06Speaker 3: You can't buy it anywhere. You've got to make up
- 6:09Speaker 3: your mind. I will be bold.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Nobody can give it to you. People will rather prefer
- 6:15Speaker 2: you timid and trample on you. There are people that
- 6:18Speaker 2: best relate with you when you are timid. Yes. And
- 6:23Speaker 2: they will use you for their own good. Are you
- 6:27Speaker 2: following what I'm saying here? So David showed a different
- 6:32Speaker 2: kind of heart, a different kind of spirit. Look at
- 6:36Speaker 2: what he said in verse 32. Verse 32. And David
- 6:41Speaker 2: said to Saul, this was a teenager telling the king,
- 6:44Speaker 2: let no man's heart fail him because of him. I mean,
- 6:52Speaker 2: he was telling the king, we can't be afraid of
- 6:55Speaker 2: this guy. Let no man's heart fail him because of
- 7:04Speaker 2: this guy. Said thy servant will go and fight with
- 7:08Speaker 2: this Philistine. You know, Goliath had made this noise for
- 7:11Speaker 2: 40 days. The day David came was the day it ended.
- 7:14Speaker 2: The day he showed up. He said, thy servant will
- 7:21Speaker 2: go and fight with this Philistine. And Saul said to David,
- 7:25Speaker 2: now listen to this. He said, thou art not able
- 7:27Speaker 2: to go against this Philistine to fight with him. For
- 7:31Speaker 2: thou art but a youth. But he, a man of
- 7:35Speaker 2: war from his youth. So this was the mentality. This
- 7:38Speaker 2: was the reason why the king could not step up.
- 7:41Speaker 2: So he actually had the feeling of inadequacy. That how
- 7:46Speaker 2: much training can I give myself to that will match
- 7:49Speaker 2: up with this guy.
- 7:50Speaker 3: That was the feeling.
- 7:52Speaker 2: They said you can't go. They said you can't fight him.
- 7:56Speaker 2: This guy has been fighting from the days of his youth.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Look at what David said in verse 34. And David
- 8:03Speaker 2: said to Saul. Now please listen O king. Thy servant
- 8:08Speaker 2: kept his father's sheep. And there came a lion and
- 8:12Speaker 2: a bear. And took a lamb out of the flock.
- 8:19Speaker 2: And I went after him. And I smote him. And
- 8:24Speaker 2: delivered it from his mouth. And when he arose against me.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I cut him by the beard. And smote him and
- 8:33Speaker 2: slew him. What's that? Hope you know. Let me explain.
- 8:43Speaker 2: I don't have the accurate terminology to use or numbers.
- 8:50Speaker 2: But the power of the jaw of a lion can
- 8:55Speaker 2: actually crush the strongest bone in a man. A full
- 8:59Speaker 2: grown person. The jaw can crush it. So imagine the
- 9:04Speaker 2: lion taking a lamb. And the first response of David
- 9:11Speaker 2: was no panic. No panic. Before he could crush the lamb,
- 9:15Speaker 2: he said, I went after him and smote him. And
- 9:20Speaker 2: when the thing rose up against me, do you know
- 9:22Speaker 2: what it means to catch a lion by the beard?
- 9:27Speaker 2: The question you want to ask, because you see, we
- 9:29Speaker 2: are allowed about many things in Nigerian church. Oh, did
- 9:33Speaker 2: our fathers fight? Apparently, you are exposed to the same thing,
- 9:37Speaker 2: but you said no. Okay. Okay. But do you know
- 9:41Speaker 2: what it means to cut a lion by the beard?
- 9:46Speaker 2: What kind of mentality is that? What kind?
- 9:50Speaker 3: So I cut him by the beard and I killed it.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Alright? He was not afraid of his hand being chopped off.
- 10:00Speaker 2: That's the mindset. You see, this is my track record.
- 10:05Speaker 2: This guy might be, he might have been fighting from
- 10:07Speaker 2: the days of his youth, but I've also been busy.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I've been busy too. I've been busy. Alright? I have
- 10:16Speaker 2: this track record. And Saul looked at him. Alright. Let's
- 10:23Speaker 2: look at verse 34 again. And David said unto Saul,
- 10:26Speaker 2: Thy servant kept his father's sheep. And there came a
- 10:30Speaker 2: lion and a bear and took the lamb out of
- 10:32Speaker 2: the flock. And I went after him and smote him
- 10:35Speaker 2: and delivered it out of his mouth. And when he
- 10:37Speaker 2: arose against me, I caught him by the beard and
- 10:40Speaker 2: smote him and slew him. Thy servant slew both the
- 10:46Speaker 2: lion and the bear. And this uncircumcised Philistine will be
- 10:49Speaker 2: as one of them, seeing he has defied the army
- 10:52Speaker 2: of the living God. Then David said, verse 37, Moreover,
- 10:59Speaker 2: the God that delivered me out of the paw of
- 11:01Speaker 2: the lion and out of the paw of the bear,
- 11:03Speaker 2: he will deliver me out of the hand of the Philistine.
- 11:06Speaker 2: And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be
- 11:09Speaker 2: with thee. So Saul saw evidently that it is impossible
- 11:13Speaker 2: to have this track record, really, unless God is with you.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Do you understand that?
- 11:21Speaker 3: It is not possible. But this is what caught my attention.
- 11:27Speaker 2: As at 1 Samuel 17, David was just a few
- 11:31Speaker 2: years ahead of the ordination, or I can't say coronation,
- 11:39Speaker 2: in 1 Samuel 16. He was just about 12. Theologians
- 11:42Speaker 2: said 1 Samuel 17 was estimated to be around actually
- 11:46Speaker 2: 17 years.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Are you seeing that now? So listen to this.
- 11:52Speaker 2: So it means that between the age of 12 and
- 11:58Speaker 2: the age of 17, the devil began to fight to
- 12:02Speaker 2: take his life. Why? Because of the anointing. Because he
- 12:09Speaker 2: had seen something definite about his life. And what David
- 12:13Speaker 2: rather did with that, he was to use all those
- 12:15Speaker 2: things as stepping stones. For track record. The things that
- 12:21Speaker 2: he's trying to send you out of your senses. They
- 12:23Speaker 2: are meant for track record. And it is so painful
- 12:30Speaker 2: how many believers miss the opportunity to have a track record.
- 12:33Speaker 2: To begin early. To begin early. I'm going to tell you.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Many things about life is about early commencement. Many things.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Many things. Even around ministry. Many things. I'll share with
- 12:55Speaker 2: a friend. I sat under the ministration of a man
- 13:01Speaker 2: of God. And as he preached powerfully well, and somewhere
- 13:07Speaker 2: along the line, he began to mention.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Certain things that I said, okay, this is why I
- 13:11Speaker 3: stopped getting edified.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I mean, you blessed me thus far, so I'm okay.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I won't hold this against you. One of my friends
- 13:19Speaker 2: that we attended the meeting, I said, don't take the
- 13:25Speaker 2: last thing the man said. I know you respect him,
- 13:28Speaker 2: but those things he said, don't take it. I called
- 13:31Speaker 2: his attention. I said, see, we will not doubt the
- 13:34Speaker 2: fact that this man has a powerful ministry. No doubt.
- 13:38Speaker 2: The church is powerful. I said, but this last thing
- 13:41Speaker 2: he said is the reason why he cannot speak to
- 13:44Speaker 2: the body of Christ. I said because the prejudice it
- 13:51Speaker 2: has towards media and ministries and ministers that push their
- 13:56Speaker 2: messages out on media. I said that prejudice is the
- 13:58Speaker 2: reason why people will not accept the wisdom when it comes.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Because there are certain things you have to start doing early.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Amazingly, another young person who may not even have the
- 14:13Speaker 2: sophistication and the sense of the ministry, but he has
- 14:17Speaker 2: come to understand what God is doing with his life early.
- 14:21Speaker 2: And has been practicing it. That fellow will speak to
- 14:23Speaker 2: the body of Christ and the body will open and
- 14:25Speaker 2: accept it. So it means that there are certain advantages
- 14:31Speaker 2: you must have early enough. You must pursue it. Early commencement.
- 14:42Speaker 2: And let me say this to you. See, let me
- 14:46Speaker 2: say this. And you've got to understand this. This topic
- 14:50Speaker 2: I'm teaching, something that is very serious in my heart.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Let me tell you, alright, because the day I will
- 14:59Speaker 2: ever have to preach without filter, many people will go
- 15:01Speaker 2: home with tears.
- 15:03Speaker 3: You will just understand that you are not where you
- 15:06Speaker 3: should be.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Let me tell you this. As I studied on this subject,
- 15:17Speaker 2: one of the things I discovered is that many people
- 15:22Speaker 2: never gave attention to their lives till they reached a
- 15:26Speaker 2: mark that they felt comfortable with. Let me give you
- 15:30Speaker 2: an instance. Some began to take their lives seriously at
- 15:36Speaker 2: a certain age. Before I even go there, I'm going
- 15:41Speaker 2: to get there. I need to share a lot about this.
- 15:45Speaker 2: One of the best things that can happen to you
- 15:48Speaker 2: for early commencement to be real is God to bless
- 15:52Speaker 2: you with people that can nurture you early.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Let me say this to you. Listen to what I'm saying.
- 16:03Speaker 2: When God gives you such people, let your head be corrected.
- 16:08Speaker 2: To jump out of that water. You will come back
- 16:11Speaker 2: later to try it. But you would have been old.
- 16:14Speaker 2: And sometimes too old to be used. I know what
- 16:20Speaker 2: I'm saying. The best of us is doing what we
- 16:26Speaker 2: are doing today because somebody spotted the grace in us.
- 16:32Speaker 2: So sometimes I listen to what I'm telling you. Somebody, somewhere,
- 16:38Speaker 2: I attended a church. First service. That was how God
- 16:41Speaker 2: helped my life. Without that man, maybe I would have
- 16:49Speaker 2: just been like the rest. First service. God didn't even
- 16:52Speaker 2: give me first service. He just said, this guy. What
- 16:57Speaker 2: could you have known about a first timer in church
- 17:00Speaker 2: to hand the church to him? First timer. First timer.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Oh see, I left church. Does this make sense? But
- 17:08Speaker 2: that's God reaching out. To say now. Now is the time.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Are you following what I'm saying here? That's God reaching out.
- 17:16Speaker 2: So when God wants to really, really help you, one
- 17:20Speaker 2: of the signs he gives to you is the grace
- 17:22Speaker 2: to be nurtured early. See, sometimes we have different programs
- 17:30Speaker 2: to train people to do all these things. And I
- 17:33Speaker 2: sit back And I ask myself, we are still at
- 17:39Speaker 2: a phase in the ministry where I have to run
- 17:41Speaker 2: bulk of the meetings, bulk of the programs, bulk of
- 17:44Speaker 2: the trainings. Somebody who doesn't have five children will miss
- 17:49Speaker 2: my classes. Young person, no sense of commitment to any cause.
- 18:01Speaker 2: And I mark people who pay attention. I mark people
- 18:04Speaker 2: who pay attention. I mark because, yes, the difference between
- 18:08Speaker 2: men is the attention they give to issues. I mark
- 18:11Speaker 2: people that pay attention. People who understand that this is
- 18:15Speaker 2: God's ordained privilege. Are you following what I'm saying? See,
- 18:19Speaker 2: with time, everybody later realizes what they have missed. But
- 18:24Speaker 2: you don't have to live your life that way. You
- 18:27Speaker 2: can live your life understanding the power of everything right
- 18:31Speaker 2: where you are in it. Imagine, have you ever, have
- 18:33Speaker 2: you passed through a phase before, maybe In university or NYSE.
- 18:38Speaker 2: And you wish you can go back. With the wisdom
- 18:40Speaker 2: you now have. You wish you can make some amendments.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Some repairs. You can make some decisions better. Now imagine
- 18:49Speaker 2: living your life now. With a better revelation. And you
- 18:54Speaker 2: will never have to be wishing and wishing. Now I
- 19:00Speaker 2: have across our centers. And I say with all humility.
- 19:06Speaker 2: different people who have reached out. Sir, I want to
- 19:10Speaker 2: be my spiritual father this, this, this. I have not
- 19:14Speaker 2: even been able to reply many. I will have to
- 19:19Speaker 2: wait for the time I get there and use the five,
- 19:23Speaker 2: ten minute opportunity we have to talk to try to see, okay,
- 19:26Speaker 2: let's try establish a relationship. But what happened to those
- 19:32Speaker 2: who used to be there while I was there and
- 19:34Speaker 2: never saw it? Never. Or never took it serious. I
- 19:49Speaker 2: was talking to a young man. I said, I am
- 19:52Speaker 2: in Abuja. You are my spiritual, you are in Abuja.
- 19:57Speaker 2: You never attend any of my meetings. You don't even
- 20:03Speaker 2: show up. He reached out to me and said, I
- 20:07Speaker 2: want to be trained. I want all the messages of ISM.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I laughed. That is how you be trained. Wow. Wow.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Tell your neighbor, for your own good, begin early. Now
- 20:29Speaker 2: tell the neighbor again, look into your neighbor's eyes. Are
- 20:31Speaker 2: you afraid of your neighbor? For your own good, begin early.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Let me say this to you. You can never have
- 20:39Speaker 2: early commencement if you don't have early awareness. Do you
- 20:46Speaker 2: know who you are? My God.
- 20:55Speaker 3: So I saw this illustration and it blessed my heart.
- 20:59Speaker 2: By Dr. Miles Morrow.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Spoke about when God introduces you to you, you'll be afraid.
- 21:03Speaker 2: You'll be afraid. So Moses was a regular guy. Walking
- 21:13Speaker 2: 9 to 5, right? Talk to me now. Walking 9
- 21:17Speaker 2: to 5. Keeping his father-in-law's sheep. And then 9 to 5,
- 21:25Speaker 2: just a regular guy. And then God came to him. Come.
- 21:31Speaker 2: And said to him, I'm about to reintroduce you To you. So.
- 21:40Speaker 2: I have heard the cry of my people. In Egypt.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Of how much they have been afflicted.
- 21:47Speaker 2: And I have come. To. Send you.
- 21:52Speaker 3: To go tell Pharaoh. To let my people go.
- 21:57Speaker 2: So.
- 21:57Speaker 3: This 9 to 5 guy.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Suddenly. Gets introduced to himself. That this is your destiny.
- 22:05Speaker 2: You are the deliverer. Of Israel.
- 22:11Speaker 3: The one who will lead them out.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Of Egypt. 420 year old bondage. Will be broken. Because
- 22:19Speaker 2: of you. You are going to be the author. Of
- 22:23Speaker 2: the first five books. Of the Bible. Out of your mouth.
- 22:29Speaker 2: The law will go out. That nations will learn from.
- 22:33Speaker 2: You will be the first man in history. To divide
- 22:36Speaker 2: the Red Sea. He will be the man that nations
- 22:41Speaker 2: will fear a nation because of you. God is going
- 22:47Speaker 2: to have to lead over 2 million people with a
- 22:49Speaker 2: pillar of fire at night and a pillar of cloud
- 22:51Speaker 2: because of you. And this was just a regular guy.
- 22:55Speaker 2: You are regular until you find you. Until you find you.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Until you find you. That privilege. Of early awareness. You see.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Let me tell you this. One of the things early
- 23:27Speaker 2: awareness will do. Is that it will inform the depth
- 23:30Speaker 2: of your preparation. Please be seated. It will inform the depth.
- 23:36Speaker 2: The seriousness you give to your life. The way you
- 23:39Speaker 2: carry yourself. The way you carry yourself. Once you know
- 23:49Speaker 2: that you are a man God will use to change
- 23:51Speaker 2: the world, there are some kind of way you will
- 23:55Speaker 2: never show up. True or not true?
- 23:58Speaker 3: There are places you will never be found.
- 24:00Speaker 2: True or not true? If you notice, if you know
- 24:03Speaker 2: that a generation is coming that they would like to
- 24:05Speaker 2: know and use all the pictures they ever find about
- 24:08Speaker 2: you on social media, you be careful what you push out.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Because awareness informs. You are not living your life like
- 24:22Speaker 2: call orders. See, the reason we are trying to make people,
- 24:26Speaker 2: is because they have not seen it. Many are, and
- 24:29Speaker 2: as long as they have not seen it, people will perceive,
- 24:31Speaker 2: they will perceive the system of help as victimization. They
- 24:37Speaker 2: will perceive their leaders as being vindictive. Because they are
- 24:41Speaker 2: not seeing the depth of what God wants to do
- 24:43Speaker 2: with their lives. If the destiny of somebody is to
- 24:48Speaker 2: be a world champion in boxing, And the person has
- 24:52Speaker 2: not seen it. And the coach knows. And he's trying
- 24:54Speaker 2: to give the fellow the world championship kind of training.
- 24:57Speaker 2: So they say, why are you stressing my life? Why
- 25:01Speaker 2: are you trying to stress me? Let me say this
- 25:03Speaker 2: to you. If you will win in life, your emotions
- 25:07Speaker 2: must not be higher than your decision. Must never. You
- 25:12Speaker 2: will have to submit yourself to many things you don't
- 25:15Speaker 2: feel like. But it's needed. It's needed. One of the
- 25:18Speaker 2: core important aspects of your life that needs to be
- 25:20Speaker 2: trained is your emotions. It will need to be talked
- 25:23Speaker 2: in and helped and make decisions for the future. Get
- 25:33Speaker 2: the help early.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Listen. Listen.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Many of you never took many things seriously. Because you actually,
- 25:50Speaker 2: what you did, let me tell you what you did.
- 25:56Speaker 2: You actually earned your awareness around a certain age. You
- 26:05Speaker 2: decided to operate with your own calendar. And what you
- 26:12Speaker 2: did was to scorn God's perspective about you. So you said,
- 26:18Speaker 2: I will begin to consider myself mature at a certain age.
- 26:24Speaker 3: But God has been waiting two years earlier.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Some people have hanged the season of their maturity or
- 26:32Speaker 2: awareness of maturity at 30.
- 26:35Speaker 3: That once I'm 30, yes, then I will know.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Who told you? Some have said, and let me tell you,
- 26:43Speaker 2: this is the reason, listen, can I talk to you
- 26:47Speaker 2: This affects ladies the most.
- 26:50Speaker 3: You see, everything is not about you and your timing.
- 26:57Speaker 2: It's about God's timing and God's method.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Are you following what I'm saying here? You see, you can.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Say as a girl that I will be ready for
- 27:07Speaker 2: relationship and marriage at so-so and so age. But God
- 27:12Speaker 2: has brought the person earlier, years earlier. and everything about
- 27:19Speaker 2: your mind and life is shut down because you have
- 27:24Speaker 2: chosen to work only by your timing see we must
- 27:27Speaker 2: be people of the spirit where you can go back
- 27:29Speaker 2: and review what you have decided okay God even though
- 27:33Speaker 2: I have made up my mind that this is the
- 27:34Speaker 2: time but is this you and God will say actually
- 27:37Speaker 2: you didn't consult me about that decision so this is
- 27:40Speaker 2: me and one of the ways you know you have
- 27:43Speaker 2: missed the timing is that the door is shut after
- 27:45Speaker 2: it for a long time It is. Except you don't
- 27:56Speaker 2: want me to tell you the truth. Are you following
- 27:59Speaker 2: what I'm saying? Very, very key. Say it again. I
- 28:01Speaker 2: pay attention to God's timing for my life. Say it
- 28:06Speaker 2: again loud and clear. So there are some young ministers
- 28:12Speaker 2: or whatever that it is sub-two things. they've subtly decided
- 28:22Speaker 2: that they will begin to consider themselves a serious minister.
- 28:26Speaker 2: In fact, somebody was asking on social media, he said,
- 28:28Speaker 2: at what age does a minister leave the category of
- 28:31Speaker 2: being called young minister? You can barely refer to me
- 28:38Speaker 2: as young minister. I don't carry myself like that. A
- 28:41Speaker 2: minister is a minister. I'll get into frivolous things, and
- 28:45Speaker 2: then they are trying to hold him, and they are, no, No. No.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I don't have that time. I don't have that time.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Writing jargons online, doing jargons, everybody's trying to say, because
- 28:59Speaker 2: he's a young person. No, I don't have that time.
- 29:01Speaker 2: That's nonsense. God has committed life to my hand earlier.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I can't waste those lives. I can't crash with them.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I can't experiment with their fulfillment. You have to enter
- 29:13Speaker 2: into certain maturity early. It's not God's fault that he
- 29:17Speaker 2: found you early. It's your fault if you fail to
- 29:19Speaker 2: realize it. Are you following what I'm saying? Don't waste
- 29:23Speaker 2: people's lives and destiny. So, look at it. Check the
- 29:27Speaker 2: timing you have set for yourself to now begin to
- 29:30Speaker 2: understand that your life is important. Check. You have reached
- 29:33Speaker 2: a decision without knowing. You have. And one of the
- 29:39Speaker 2: ways you will know is that you will only begin
- 29:42Speaker 2: to do certain things as you approach that season. Until then,
- 29:46Speaker 2: you will waste time. Somebody can wake up all day
- 29:49Speaker 2: and just play with the life. But the same person,
- 29:52Speaker 2: when the fellow is about to clock 30, now say, ah, ah,
- 29:55Speaker 2: now this is the time. No. You have wasted the
- 29:58Speaker 2: years to start preparing. I'm asking you a question. What
- 30:03Speaker 2: timeline have you given yourself as a season to become
- 30:06Speaker 2: aware of your potentials? Are you correct to have said
- 30:10Speaker 2: that time? Or has God been waiting earlier? Has God
- 30:13Speaker 2: been waiting earlier? I was sharing with the pastors yesterday night.
- 30:21Speaker 2: I saw the video of a young boy, 21 years old,
- 30:24Speaker 2: getting married. We were insulting him. I said, if the
- 30:27Speaker 2: boy knows he's ready at 21, And he's marrying a
- 30:32Speaker 2: girl who knows she's ready at 20. Listen to what
- 30:35Speaker 2: I'm saying. Mami Folu Adeboye married at 21. Is he
- 30:39Speaker 2: 21 or even 27? Kenneth Yegin married at 23. And
- 30:46Speaker 2: the wife was maybe 19. And they did well. It
- 30:52Speaker 2: is foolishness that got us to this level. So we
- 30:54Speaker 2: have delayed maturities. Sometimes I look at people, I'm asking,
- 31:00Speaker 2: are you aware your mate in those days, your mate
- 31:04Speaker 2: already have three children and you are behaving like this?
- 31:07Speaker 3: Like you should knock foolishness out of their head.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Get up! I've been asking, at what point did timing change?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Because it looks as though the moment that timing awareness changed,
- 31:23Speaker 2: people have delayed maturity. The maturity that should have happened
- 31:28Speaker 2: at 19, they now shifted for 27. Eight years later. Meanwhile,
- 31:35Speaker 2: their grandmas began to take responsibility that early. They just
- 31:42Speaker 2: delay ourselves. Oh yes. And some have set maturity for
- 31:50Speaker 2: certain seasons, or seriously for certain seasons. When I get married,
- 31:54Speaker 2: then I will now begin to learn I will not
- 31:56Speaker 2: begin to be a provider. No. Nobody learns to be
- 31:59Speaker 2: a provider in marriage. You start doing it before you
- 32:02Speaker 2: get married. See, listen. I want to say some things,
- 32:09Speaker 2: but they are tough. Listen to what I'm saying. You
- 32:14Speaker 2: must fight for your way out. It is not under
- 32:16Speaker 2: to anybody cheaply. The same obstacle you are complaining about,
- 32:21Speaker 2: people have risen regardless of it. So, whose fault is
- 32:25Speaker 2: it if you know what many of us have had
- 32:29Speaker 2: to rise through, the problem, the challenges, the trouble, the
- 32:37Speaker 2: things that want to cover your soul. At one point,
- 32:46Speaker 2: I shared this story. During my NYC, we're having a
- 32:51Speaker 2: regular conversation about life. Myself and a couple of friends
- 32:58Speaker 2: And I have been having secret tears and pain in
- 33:03Speaker 2: my heart. All of a sudden, it began to occur
- 33:07Speaker 2: to me that actually of everybody in this family, my
- 33:11Speaker 2: case is actually worse. Because everybody reached out to me
- 33:15Speaker 2: to counsel. So I listened to them. And I just
- 33:18Speaker 2: kept saying in my heart, if only you even know
- 33:20Speaker 2: my own problem right now. And that day, it had
- 33:24Speaker 2: gotten to a point where I could not hold it anymore.
- 33:26Speaker 2: In the middle of that conversation, I just bursted into tears.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I mean, people were shocked. What's happening? And because it
- 33:40Speaker 2: was something I bottled up for so long, I was
- 33:44Speaker 2: crying and I was shaking and I was shivering because
- 33:48Speaker 2: God had told me at that time that once you
- 33:51Speaker 2: are done from here, go back to Ephraim. And it
- 33:55Speaker 2: just occurred to me. Everybody here will go back to
- 33:57Speaker 2: their father's house. And go and do something. Even while
- 34:00Speaker 2: they are waiting. I don't have anywhere to go to.
- 34:04Speaker 2: I got. I have to go back to Ife. From
- 34:08Speaker 2: the scratch. From the very scratch. No couple. For rent.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Scoot around. Scoot around. if I see that a place
- 34:26Speaker 2: is not pleasant, I will enter a new hostel, myself
- 34:29Speaker 2: and Yemi Kings. And just, once we see that, okay,
- 34:35Speaker 2: people are not here much, just lie down. If they
- 34:39Speaker 2: come and meet us, just lie down. First thing in
- 34:43Speaker 2: the morning, we'll get out again. What's your excuse? What's
- 34:50Speaker 2: your excuse? What's your excuse? The problem many of you
- 34:58Speaker 2: have was that nobody ever dealt with you growing up.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Life has not. You've always been spoon fed. That's your problem.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Somebody was always there to carry you. They were always
- 35:08Speaker 2: there to help you. Get out from that nonsense and
- 35:11Speaker 2: find your way out. Boy, it's too late. For your
- 35:15Speaker 2: children will hate you passionately. But they have to call
- 35:17Speaker 2: you daddy for respect. I'm telling you now. This thing
- 35:25Speaker 2: is never handed over to anybody. You fight for it.
- 35:29Speaker 2: In Spirit of Life Church, we are fighting for it.
- 35:33Speaker 2: We have a project this month. We are all giving
- 35:36Speaker 2: up of our salary. It is not up to quarter
- 35:40Speaker 2: of the amount we need for where we want to
- 35:43Speaker 2: take it. Quarter. It also lets you know that you
- 35:47Speaker 2: didn't do it and I know you didn't do it.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Except for those few who did. But we don't stop fighting. See,
- 35:53Speaker 2: you break out of the old. And that can never
- 35:59Speaker 2: happen without awareness. There's a way you live your life.
- 36:03Speaker 2: There's a way, there's a posture you have when you
- 36:06Speaker 2: know that what God is doing through you will change
- 36:08Speaker 2: the world. There's a way you study. There's a way
- 36:13Speaker 2: you pray. There's a level of preparation you give yourself to.
- 36:19Speaker 2: My wife was asking me, I said, Every topic you
- 36:23Speaker 2: preach on, look like that's what you were called to
- 36:26Speaker 2: preach on. Say, if you take this one, people might
- 36:28Speaker 2: think that's what you do. You take this one, people.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I said, it is the power of preparation. It is
- 36:37Speaker 2: the power of preparation. To prepare yourself. To be hard
- 36:43Speaker 2: on yourself. Sometimes I look at people, just little correction
- 36:47Speaker 2: here and there. What are you talking about? Brace up.
- 36:51Speaker 2: I'm not saying you should not cry. Cry, but get
- 36:53Speaker 2: up and be fine. Me too, I cry when I
- 36:55Speaker 2: need to cry. All right? Because some of you are
- 36:57Speaker 2: looking at me and saying, ah, Pusu. No, it's okay
- 37:01Speaker 2: to cry. You see, it's okay to cry. When people
- 37:04Speaker 2: are crying, I get confused. I just, okay, don't worry,
- 37:08Speaker 2: you'll be fine. You'll be fine. But honestly, I'm really
- 37:11Speaker 2: drawn into their emotions. I'm really drawn. But because I
- 37:15Speaker 2: have a spot for people too. Like, my own is
- 37:17Speaker 2: such that when you're done, okay, get back. And do
- 37:21Speaker 2: it again. If not, you'll cry throughout your life. Be fine, okay?
- 37:25Speaker 2: Don't cry again. Okay, get back, get back. That's how
- 37:30Speaker 2: we grow. That's how we grow. The question is, have
- 37:39Speaker 2: you killed your lion and bear? I'm going to show
- 37:43Speaker 2: you the difference. I'm going to teach you the difference.
- 37:48Speaker 2: There's a difference. There's a difference. It actually has meaning. Some,
- 37:57Speaker 2: you know, it is very easy to kill a lion
- 38:00Speaker 2: than a bear. I'm going to explain. Tuesday. Have you killed? Okay,
- 38:11Speaker 2: if we ask you now, in that field, you say, okay,
- 38:15Speaker 2: you say God wants to use you in ministry. What
- 38:17Speaker 2: is your track record? You've not done anything You don't
- 38:21Speaker 2: own souls. You are doing everything at your comfort zone.
- 38:25Speaker 2: There is no location you have passed through and they
- 38:27Speaker 2: can't forget you. And suddenly you now believe that you
- 38:32Speaker 2: now passed through this globe, this world. And the world
- 38:34Speaker 2: will remember you. When you pass through a campus, just campus,
- 38:38Speaker 2: and you left no mark. You can't go back to
- 38:42Speaker 2: campus again, but you can repent. And begin from where
- 38:46Speaker 2: you are. Pick your Bible and note now. List your
- 38:50Speaker 2: most important track record, everybody. Write it down. No, write
- 38:55Speaker 2: it out. Because sometimes until you begin to write on paper,
- 38:59Speaker 2: you don't face reality. This is not a rhetorical question.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Write out your most powerful track record. Who has your
- 39:05Speaker 2: life touched the most? What is the most powerful sacrifice
- 39:09Speaker 2: you've ever given? What is the most powerful thing you've
- 39:12Speaker 2: ever done beyond you? Your track record is not I
- 39:15Speaker 2: bought a suit for 75,000.
- 39:16Speaker 3: That's nonsense. Who cares about that?
- 39:20Speaker 2: What have you done to impact the world? What have
- 39:24Speaker 2: you done for your mark to be felt? Where have
- 39:27Speaker 2: you passed through that they can never... recover from your impact?
- 39:32Speaker 2: Who is alive right now on earth? Who is forever
- 39:37Speaker 2: and eternally grateful that you came? Write it out. If
- 39:41Speaker 2: you struggle to write, you've not started living. You've not
- 39:46Speaker 2: started living. That's what it means. You have not started
- 39:49Speaker 2: living until your life starts giving. You have not started living.
- 39:53Speaker 2: You are still existing. Everything living lives through contribution. Everything
- 39:58Speaker 2: survives and thrives through contribution. Write out your most important
- 40:04Speaker 2: track record. I'm not going to ask you to read
- 40:07Speaker 2: it out, but note it in your heart. And then
- 40:10Speaker 2: ask yourself, if the impact I've written about this place
- 40:14Speaker 2: is copy and paste in respect to the world... will
- 40:17Speaker 2: I ever leave a mark? No, note what I'm saying.
- 40:23Speaker 2: If the impact, if we copy and paste this impact
- 40:28Speaker 2: and put it at world view, will I ever leave
- 40:31Speaker 2: a mark? So that we can judge the life we
- 40:33Speaker 2: are living now. See, listen, so that our end will
- 40:38Speaker 2: not be a surprise. You will not surprise yourself. Bishop
- 40:43Speaker 2: Oedipus said, we are not surprised about where we are
- 40:46Speaker 2: today in ministry. We would have been surprised if we
- 40:48Speaker 2: are not here. See, we would have been surprised. So
- 40:52Speaker 2: people are shocked that they are small in life. How
- 40:54Speaker 2: did I end up here? How did I end up here?
- 40:56Speaker 2: Because you built towards that. That's how you ended up there.
- 41:00Speaker 2: That's what you worked at. What have you done beyond you?
- 41:11Speaker 2: The track record of David was not about him. The
- 41:14Speaker 2: food he ate. It was about rescue. Leadership. The ability
- 41:19Speaker 2: to go all out for a cause. The ability to
- 41:23Speaker 2: give yourself all up. We went out and something happened
- 41:26Speaker 2: this week that touched my life. It touched me in
- 41:30Speaker 2: a very remarkable way. So let me tell you this.
- 41:32Speaker 2: When we went out to scout for the venue. And
- 41:34Speaker 2: I want to really celebrate him. The man of God
- 41:36Speaker 2: that drove us. I just called him. I said, call him.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Let him come and drive us to town. Because I
- 41:41Speaker 2: know others at work. So when we, I was looking,
- 41:45Speaker 2: my eyes were on the fuel gauge. Hey, we need
- 41:49Speaker 2: to fill this car up. So we couldn't wait because
- 41:52Speaker 2: we had to branch. And by the time we got home,
- 41:55Speaker 2: I said, we need to go and fill this car.
- 41:57Speaker 2: He said, no. Let this be my own contribution towards
- 42:01Speaker 2: this work. How many believers have that mentality? He said,
- 42:07Speaker 2: even if I can't give now, But at least this one.
- 42:13Speaker 2: And I'm telling you. We were able to get that
- 42:15Speaker 2: venue that we got. Because he volunteered himself. In fact.
- 42:19Speaker 3: He was the one who said. Who checked on Google map.
- 42:23Speaker 2: And said. I'm seeing a place close by. And that
- 42:26Speaker 2: was the place we got. He was the one who
- 42:27Speaker 2: checked on Google map. The willingness to at least. Do
- 42:32Speaker 2: your own quota. Life will never remember you. For what
- 42:37Speaker 2: you do for yourself. Life will remember you and reward
- 42:42Speaker 2: you for what you do for a cause. For what
- 42:45Speaker 2: you do for a cause, for others, for people. Are
- 42:49Speaker 2: you following what I'm saying here? That's what life remembers
- 42:51Speaker 2: you for. Who are the big names we call today?
- 42:54Speaker 2: Nelson Mandela. Spent 23 years. I can't remember the whole.
- 42:58Speaker 2: He married, I think, in 1978 or 76. And he
- 43:00Speaker 2: was in prison till, is it 1991 or 92? Please,
- 43:02Speaker 2: somebody get me the figures. 27 years in prison a
- 43:13Speaker 2: year after he got married to Winnie Mandela that was
- 43:19Speaker 2: the devotion it took for a man to enter that
- 43:22Speaker 2: statue the world never remembered those who didn't make sacrifices
- 43:28Speaker 2: for her who are the names we call today Malcolm
- 43:30Speaker 2: Hicks Martin Luther King Mother Teresa Mary Slessor And all
- 43:39Speaker 2: those names. You can never see a significant name that
- 43:42Speaker 2: is not traced to sacrifice. You see, listen. The fact
- 43:50Speaker 2: that it ought is the reason why many people are
- 43:53Speaker 2: not doing it. And that's the reason why at certain
- 43:56Speaker 2: level you have few that enters. Only few have dared
- 44:01Speaker 2: to go this far. That's why we say these people
- 44:03Speaker 2: just think people are trying to whine us and do
- 44:05Speaker 2: all this. No. No. Only few have dared to have
- 44:13Speaker 2: put their own lives on the line to live for
- 44:15Speaker 2: a cause. This is the most excellent way to live.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Your life is very cheap. If all you want to
- 44:23Speaker 2: do is just to get some money, live your life,
- 44:26Speaker 2: have children, there is nothing traceable to you that is
- 44:30Speaker 2: a quota that is contributed towards humanity, towards the gospel,
- 44:34Speaker 2: towards the move of God. Nothing. You have been blessed
- 44:39Speaker 2: by others who refuse to be a blessing. Let me
- 44:44Speaker 2: tell you this. I have made a vow to live
- 44:49Speaker 2: my life in such a way that if it is
- 44:53Speaker 2: five minutes I spend with somebody who is open-hearted, that
- 44:55Speaker 2: person's life will change for life. I have made a
- 44:59Speaker 2: vow to live my life that if it is ten
- 45:01Speaker 2: minutes I have to speak on any platform.
- 45:06Speaker 3: Let me leave this one. Because people who say it's pride.
- 45:09Speaker 2: People who are not doing much get easily intimidated. They
- 45:15Speaker 2: say it's pride. I'm telling you what I've lived my
- 45:17Speaker 2: life to do. It doesn't matter where in the world
- 45:20Speaker 2: you are bringing people from. If it is 10 minutes,
- 45:23Speaker 2: you will know this person is different. So there is
- 45:27Speaker 2: a quality of training. An attention that informs such living.
- 45:33Speaker 2: It is intentional living. Nothing passes you by. You see
- 45:36Speaker 2: how everything, events, stories can fit into something that can
- 45:40Speaker 2: bless lives. You have lived a life to keep gathering archives.
- 45:43Speaker 2: In case you have been wondering how I get my message,
- 45:45Speaker 2: this is how it happens. I'm always gathering archives. Because
- 45:52Speaker 2: I know what my life is for. I am aware.
- 45:58Speaker 2: And it gives me rest. Because you must believe in
- 46:02Speaker 2: what you are building. Many, when it gets to sacrifice,
- 46:12Speaker 2: I can't come and kill myself. The ones you have done,
- 46:15Speaker 2: where has it landed you in life? The ones you
- 46:18Speaker 2: have done for yourself, where has it landed you in life?
- 46:22Speaker 2: Nobody can stress me. I can't kill myself. No, it's
- 46:26Speaker 2: an opportunity to have track record. I tell people, when
- 46:30Speaker 2: I was ministering and preaching everywhere and going all out,
- 46:34Speaker 2: I said, it began on campus. On campus, sometimes I
- 46:38Speaker 2: have four places to minister in a day. On campus. Four. Five.
- 46:43Speaker 2: I'm telling you. Go and ask my friends. One of
- 46:49Speaker 2: my secondary school mates was reposting what I posted on
- 46:53Speaker 2: Twitter and I read what he wrote. He said, Dr. Lazar,
- 46:58Speaker 2: because as they call me Dr. Lazar, he has always
- 47:01Speaker 2: been like this. He's a very, he began to write
- 47:04Speaker 2: his own observation. He's a very focused person. He's very steady.
- 47:08Speaker 2: He has always been like this. I came from a
- 47:14Speaker 2: family where people rarely believe I'm from that family.
- 47:18Speaker 3: Outsiders rarely believe.
- 47:20Speaker 2: I'm from that family. Don't give myself, are you following
- 47:25Speaker 2: what I'm saying here? Yes, I'm telling you the fact.
- 47:29Speaker 2: When they want something done real fast and quick and well, say,
- 47:33Speaker 2: call Femi. He's going to get it done.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Begin to build a consciousness of commitment.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Early, early, early. Where do you see yourself in life?
- 47:48Speaker 2: In the next 10 years, where will you be? Or
- 47:50Speaker 2: is your life just reduced to these four walls? Some
- 47:56Speaker 2: of you are very convenient here. And I found out
- 48:01Speaker 2: that many people are convenient in churches that are small.
- 48:05Speaker 2: They don't know it is a trait. See, it is
- 48:08Speaker 2: a trait. When something gets bigger than their mindset, they
- 48:11Speaker 2: lose touch. And when you watch such lives, they are
- 48:15Speaker 2: not planning for anything really serious. Yes. There is a
- 48:19Speaker 2: way you can confess serious things, but you are not
- 48:21Speaker 2: planning for it. You are not working at it. Hallelujah.
- 48:30Speaker 2: I said hallelujah. Are you following what I'm teaching here?
- 48:36Speaker 2: Kill your lion and bear early. Get serious early. See,
- 48:43Speaker 2: let me say this and I'm saying this again. There
- 48:47Speaker 2: are some delays and I'm saying this to specific situations.
- 48:55Speaker 2: There are delays that you embrace with your full chest Yes.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Because I'd rather wait for what God has than to
- 49:05Speaker 2: go into what is not my destiny. Are you following
- 49:08Speaker 2: what I'm saying? Listen to what I'm saying. There are
- 49:12Speaker 2: delays you embrace with your full chest. Whenever you hear
- 49:15Speaker 2: me share stories or maybe i had struggles where i
- 49:18Speaker 2: got my the struggle was not the inability to get
- 49:21Speaker 2: a woman oh am i stupid with my entire life
- 49:27Speaker 2: only one girl has ever told me no and the
- 49:30Speaker 2: girl even almost broke our relationship only one girl in
- 49:33Speaker 2: my life I'm not saying that's my track record. Is
- 49:38Speaker 2: that your track record? See, don't be taking things personal.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I'm just telling you that I'm not a stupid person.
- 49:47Speaker 2: That's what I'm trying to tell you. Do you understand
- 49:48Speaker 2: what I'm saying? And the girl herself has waited for
- 49:52Speaker 2: me for about how many years? Me, I didn't know that.
- 49:54Speaker 2: The old friendliness was that. But when somebody else had come,
- 49:57Speaker 2: I now came then. The girl escaped. Alright? I'm telling
- 50:03Speaker 2: you a fact. It was just that decision that I
- 50:08Speaker 2: am not ready to go on with anything that I'm
- 50:10Speaker 2: not sure this is it. I am not ready to
- 50:16Speaker 2: trust the destiny of these children to the hand of
- 50:19Speaker 2: a woman who will be insecure about them. Because I
- 50:24Speaker 2: understand that at the root of this ministry is the
- 50:26Speaker 2: family connection. So I'm telling you that there are delays
- 50:30Speaker 2: you embrace with your full chest for destiny. I'd rather
- 50:35Speaker 2: wait long than to do it early and then my
- 50:38Speaker 2: entire significance is gone for it. When I talk about
- 50:42Speaker 2: early commencement, it's not like some things. I try to balance.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Are you following what I'm saying here? Are you following
- 50:48Speaker 2: what I'm saying here? What kind of early commencement is
- 50:51Speaker 2: you marry somebody who has no part in your destiny?
- 50:55Speaker 3: Because you want to.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Marry early, you go and marry an Elijah at 21.
- 50:59Speaker 2: You are worse than a woman who is 90 and
- 51:01Speaker 2: has not married. She's far better She has better things
- 51:05Speaker 2: to be rewarded for in heaven. Are you following what
- 51:10Speaker 2: I'm saying here? Oh yes.
- 51:13Speaker 3: I've said it before.
- 51:13Speaker 2: Many of our Christian ladies that we are training in
- 51:15Speaker 2: all these churches, many of them don't mind marrying an
- 51:18Speaker 2: imam and afar a jihadist. Because they, yeah. The average
- 51:24Speaker 2: gospel we preach now is that when it begins to hurt,
- 51:27Speaker 2: that's not God's plan for you. That's not God's counsel.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Start paying attention to your life early.
- 51:38Speaker 2: Early. Early. Early. Start making the adjustments. Start shaping your mindset. Early.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Let me share a very funny story. I don't even
- 51:56Speaker 2: know why I share this story. You don't think, is
- 51:59Speaker 2: this what your life has been about? It's just that
- 52:01Speaker 2: I like to share this. Is that clear? Yeah. Many
- 52:04Speaker 2: people don't find it convenient to share their story, but
- 52:05Speaker 2: I just like, you know, to share it with you.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Oh God, my wife will say, there is a lady
- 52:15Speaker 2: that I thought I heard God about. Until we began
- 52:19Speaker 2: to talk and the girl was insisting that so, so,
- 52:23Speaker 2: so and so church is alive. That so, even if
- 52:26Speaker 2: we get married, I know God is calling you to ministry.
- 52:28Speaker 2: I said it is the most foolish talk I've ever
- 52:29Speaker 2: heard in my life. I was looking at her like that. Okay. Okay.
- 52:34Speaker 2: I was just saying in my heart, you can never
- 52:36Speaker 2: be my wife. You can never. I will look for
- 52:38Speaker 2: a way to get rid of you. Yeah, that's what
- 52:40Speaker 2: I was telling myself. The girl was saying, that ministry,
- 52:42Speaker 2: that's my church. That's where I'm called to. That's where
- 52:46Speaker 2: I'm called to. That's where I'm called to. So, why
- 52:51Speaker 2: did you not give me a yes now? So, I'll
- 52:54Speaker 2: be the new pastor of a church. Then my wife
- 52:56Speaker 2: is the social and social worker of the church. Let's
- 53:00Speaker 2: even assume I'm not a pastor. We can understand now.
- 53:04Speaker 2: But yesterday, I just had a leading to even just
- 53:07Speaker 2: check up on her. And I saw a video she
- 53:09Speaker 2: made again.
- 53:10Speaker 3: I said, of all the churches in the world, that
- 53:12Speaker 3: church is the greatest.
- 53:14Speaker 2: So I now said to myself that, instead of being
- 53:20Speaker 2: angry with the mentality this girl have, let's even learn
- 53:23Speaker 2: from this church and from her. She has definitely found something.
- 53:27Speaker 2: It just won't work for me. But that she has
- 53:30Speaker 2: found something should be respected. Period. Period. True or not true? Huh?
- 53:37Speaker 2: So this person has found, what have they done to
- 53:39Speaker 2: this person? What kind? And let me say this to you,
- 53:43Speaker 2: God in heaven will say to Adeo, he will. How
- 53:49Speaker 2: do you, if you think you, if you think God
- 53:53Speaker 2: is a wicked God, he will. He will in a
- 53:56Speaker 2: grand style. I'm telling you. So when you are sharing story,
- 54:00Speaker 2: your story may only be powerful until the 10 days
- 54:03Speaker 2: is over. Let me leave that. You know, the 10
- 54:07Speaker 2: days to check now. Sometimes I say some very strong
- 54:12Speaker 2: things to allow your mind to stretch the most will
- 54:14Speaker 2: of your mind. Catch it fast. Are you following what
- 54:18Speaker 2: I'm saying? Alright. The culture around us in Africa is
- 54:27Speaker 2: a structure, is a culture that demonizes early risers. Even
- 54:32Speaker 2: at family level. Once people are getting it right early,
- 54:36Speaker 2: you start to believe that there's something they are doing wrong.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Are you following what I'm saying?
- 54:40Speaker 2: You just want to think.
- 54:42Speaker 3: You want to stress them.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Police will harass you. It means that the society is
- 54:48Speaker 2: where it is because nobody is expecting young people to rise.
- 54:53Speaker 2: My prophecies are coming to pass reversing the mistake of Joseph.
- 54:59Speaker 2: When the continent that is known for laughter despite struggle
- 55:02Speaker 2: now begin to agitate. We are having the recoil of
- 55:07Speaker 2: the early 60s and 70s again. This is the first
- 55:11Speaker 2: time it is happening all over the world that there
- 55:12Speaker 2: will be coup in a nation. And the people are
- 55:15Speaker 2: glad and coming out to say, you can't invade us.
- 55:17Speaker 2: We like this.
- 55:17Speaker 3: 35-year-old president. 40-year-old president.
- 55:24Speaker 2: Nigeria. Oto! 80-year-old man! You never tire. You know why?
- 55:31Speaker 2: You know why? You know why? Because they have told
- 55:34Speaker 2: you that it's not your turn. They fastened that word
- 55:39Speaker 2: to your consciousness. Go and wait till your turn. The
- 55:43Speaker 2: next person is coming also to God. It's not your turn.
- 55:48Speaker 2: I stand here, I have my wish. My wish is
- 55:51Speaker 2: that there will be justice at the court of law.
- 55:53Speaker 2: But I barely, I speak as a man. See Nigeria
- 55:57Speaker 2: imagine without a struggle. Do you think a nation like this,
- 56:02Speaker 2: the devil will allow a nation this powerful to come
- 56:05Speaker 2: out by judges just being their right mind. They would
- 56:07Speaker 2: rather prefer to be devils until those that it belongs
- 56:17Speaker 2: to say we are ready to die. The most important
- 56:30Speaker 2: thing will not be dropped on your laps. You fight
- 56:32Speaker 2: for it. That's what I tell you. We are fighting
- 56:36Speaker 2: for it. We will not be here for life. Get
- 56:40Speaker 2: out of that place. After one year, you will not.
- 56:49Speaker 2: The system will hold you. The grip is very strong.
- 56:54Speaker 2: The force of gravity. It means there is a greater
- 56:57Speaker 2: force to hold people down than to propel them up.
- 57:00Speaker 2: So coming down is only natural. In nature. It's natural.
- 57:04Speaker 2: It's natural. Being down is natural. You'll have to be
- 57:08Speaker 2: extraordinary to go up. Being down is natural. Being down
- 57:13Speaker 2: is natural. Let me wrap up with this. When our
- 57:21Speaker 2: ministry started. I began. Because I looked at the insult
- 57:26Speaker 2: I faced. The criticism. The rejection. The hatred. That even
- 57:31Speaker 2: those that God is raising my life to be an
- 57:33Speaker 2: inspiration to. Fought me. Because they could not understand. It
- 57:38Speaker 2: is amazing how people fight those that will be a
- 57:40Speaker 2: captain to them. Because they only see the leadership. They
- 57:43Speaker 2: don't even see the service to them. And I began
- 57:46Speaker 2: to investigate. Who are the ministers that started early? Who
- 57:50Speaker 2: are the ministers that founded early on? So I marked
- 57:53Speaker 2: certain names. One of those strong names is Reverend Sam Adeyemi.
- 57:59Speaker 2: I started going to pick the 1997 messages, the early messages.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Started reading every story I can find. When I entered
- 58:09Speaker 2: those places and studied and heard those things, I came
- 58:11Speaker 2: out bold. I began to look for my accusers.
- 58:16Speaker 3: Where are you guys now? What I'm doing will work.
- 58:20Speaker 3: Watch and see.
- 58:21Speaker 2: One of them called me. Say, ah, how are you doing, sir? Say,
- 58:25Speaker 2: oh my God, you've been a blessing. I say, sure.
- 58:29Speaker 2: You called a council meeting and told my boys that
- 58:32Speaker 2: they should all leave me. That they are following somebody
- 58:35Speaker 2: who is not going anywhere in life. That this ministry
- 58:38Speaker 2: will fold up in six months. Don't follow a man
- 58:40Speaker 2: like this. And everyone who followed them, they could not
- 58:43Speaker 2: emerge with one. I noted these statistics. Who among these
- 58:50Speaker 2: children are those that are still in the path of ministry,
- 58:52Speaker 2: in the path of their purpose, even despite the signs? None. None.
- 59:01Speaker 2: But I can say that all you have given to me,
- 59:03Speaker 2: I have kept. Oh yes. Oh yes. It was a
- 59:06Speaker 2: tough walk. He said, we want to bring you over
- 59:11Speaker 2: to our place. So our people have been looking forward
- 59:13Speaker 2: to having you. Say, my God, they are so excited.
- 59:16Speaker 2: When I told them that I know you, they were
- 59:18Speaker 2: so excited. So now you are telling people you know
- 59:23Speaker 2: me to collect shine. Wow. Wow. Because you never stopped.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Those who are being cautious are not necessarily wiser than you.
- 59:33Speaker 2: They may just be timid. When you have a revelation
- 59:37Speaker 2: about something and you are being guided, you have voice
- 59:40Speaker 2: of correct instruction around you, do it like your life
- 59:43Speaker 2: depends on it. Don't let anybody shut you down. I
- 59:49Speaker 2: spoke with my dad and he said to me, he said,
- 59:52Speaker 2: my God, he said, God has raised you to raise
- 59:54Speaker 2: him of this family.
- 59:55Speaker 3: I said, thank God.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Many people trust me with many contracts and millions because
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: they know I'm your father. Thank God.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: But I kept remembering how I was disowned because of
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: this same thing.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: I kept remembering. So if I have stopped, will this
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: be happening? Get up on your feet, everyone. Let me
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: give you a minute to cry to God. The grace
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: for early awareness, early commencement, early maturity. I receive it.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: Please pray. Please pray. Please pray. Please pray. The grace
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: for early commencement, early awareness, early maturity. To get it
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: right early. Don't pray quiet prayers. Not to be distracted
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: from your purpose. Pray oh. Pray oh. Pray oh. pray
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: thank you lord in Jesus name we are praying listen
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: let me tell you two things there are level of
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: productivity you will never step into until you have responsibility
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: that much Meaning that no matter how much you pray for,
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: pray for abundance. As long as you have not expanded
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: your mind and your life in such a way that
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: there is something, the abundance, that is the abundance in
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: respect to that project is not abundance.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: You will never work in it.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: Because God will not give you what will sink you.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: He will not give you what.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: What can you handle by the virtue of awareness? What
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: can you handle? If somebody rise up today and say,
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: I want to sow 50 million naira. To serve like church.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: I guarantee you. Before God whom I stand. What the
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: 50 millionaire will do instantly.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Is on ground.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: In fact it will not be enough. How big are
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: your dreams? What can cater for it? And that's why
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: many of you are easily impressed. So we have people
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: get into frivolous things. Easily impressed by themselves. What have
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: you seen? 1 million. You are so excited. You are
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: so excited. You are so excited. When this ministry started,
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: what the ministry can pay me was 5,000. Okay? So
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: I took inventory of the monthly commitment I have. Direct commitment.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: Those things. People, mentors, not ministry, direct. Alright? And I
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: counted 865,000 there. Consistently, monthly. So, what is 1 million?
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: That's still small. Compared to, of course, the emergencies. I'm
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: talking about the ones that are regular. Regular. Okay.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: This person is on salary from me. This one too.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: This one too.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: This family. This from me.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: 865,000.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: I'm not saying this to spite anybody or to say so.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: Sometimes people say, I... Thank you for your seed, but
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: just so you know the size of what I'm doing,
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: of my vision.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: The size. The size. So, it is that size that
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: determines what comes your way.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: It's that size. So, if somebody just said, ah, postage 500,000,
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: maybe some years back, I'm like, oh, ha! But now
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: what it will do is on ground. That's just the truth.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: And because it is fixed on ground, God is obligated
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: to provide.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: It is not about me. It is not about me.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: God is obligated. What is your life about? The question
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: is not just when will you kill your lion and bear?
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: The question is, will you ever? And let me give
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: one last warning.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: You see, God is giving you the sceptre of authority early.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: Take it early. fight for it early. You will not
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: always have the time to do the right things. You
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: build a culture of learning to do them now. Don't
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: be blinded by your own light. Don't be satisfied with
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: the petty things. Very petty things. Don't be satisfied. Have
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: the life. See, when you have the life of always
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: pursuing something, You'll never be free from loss. Too many
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: things on ground. And as much as I love you
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: all in Abuja, I mean, I wish I could be
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: here with you forever, but I'm not going to be
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: here forever with you. Once I'm done from here, I
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: pick a new challenge. I can't wait to be in Kano.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Do a few weeks with them there. Start a strong
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: walk for God. There are lives that need to be touched.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: So it means you need to carry what you need
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: to carry and continue from where I stopped. That's what
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: it means. Think you are learning all these things so
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: you can be seated for life. What's your idea of membership?
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: We are to train you till you become profitable for ministry.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: That's our work. And the entry point to doing that
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: is stewardship. That's the most basic. And it comes at
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: a cost. You start learning for.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Them The message you just listened to is sponsored by
