Smallwood Lake’s water level is rising—alarm blaring, but no flood yet—while the $50M dam rebuild nears completion with final crest gates installed and inspections set for July 21. Once approved, the lake could refill in weeks, restoring views for 700+ homes after two years without them. This is the second dam rebuilt since 2020 floods; Secord Dam’s gates are next, with Edenville Dam’s work wrapping in 2027.
