- 0:43Speaker 1: some drinks on the beach, is what that?

- 0:46Speaker 2: That could be?
- 0:48Speaker 4: That could be?

- 1:11Speaker 2: We're still it's unpredictable.
- 1:14Speaker 1: How are you enjoying living in the post bell riots?
- 1:18Speaker 2: You know, it's been difficult, it really has, you know.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I've I've got Sanctuary District people knocking on my door,
- 1:25Speaker 2: you know, and I have to keep you know, swatting
- 1:27Speaker 2: them away.
- 1:28Speaker 1: The hunger games begin soon. It'll be quick to change.
- 1:31Speaker 2: That's right, that's right with my uh, you know, lower
- 1:34Speaker 2: middle class self, you know, having to you know, shoe
- 1:36Speaker 2: away the really low class people.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, for sure, for sure them away.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm one of those elite, you know, lower middle class.
- 1:47Speaker 1: You can pay that extra nickel for the plastic bags
- 1:49Speaker 1: at the grocery store.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Absolutely, absolutely, yeah, And I hold I hold them with
- 1:55Speaker 2: you know, with my pinky up too.
- 1:57Speaker 1: That's right, that's right, as you should, as you should. Oh,
- 2:01Speaker 1: here he is, there, he is, he's joined us. Oh no,
- 2:09Speaker 1: can't hear us?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yeah, we can hear you.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I can hear you. Can you hear me?
- 2:15Speaker 2: This sounds like your shuttle craft is going through a
- 2:17Speaker 2: iron storm. It is, it is, It looks like it.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Yeah, structural integrity field is failing.
- 2:23Speaker 1: But did you try reversing the polarity of.
- 2:27Speaker 3: First come on the first.
- 2:30Speaker 2: He's not a rookie, that's.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Right, reverse the polarity, re route main power through the
- 2:37Speaker 3: secondary coupling. I mean, those are the first two things
- 2:40Speaker 3: you do. You shake my hand, yeah, giggle it if
- 2:45Speaker 3: those and then you turn it off and you turn
- 2:49Speaker 3: it back off. That's right, that's great. That baby.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yeah, Hi Dan, how you doing?
- 2:57Speaker 3: We are we in the show?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we're in the show?
- 3:00Speaker 2: A right?
- 3:00Speaker 3: I never yeah, I it, baby, it's it's fine.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Tell all your secrets now, all your secrets.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Yeah, you've been man up to Yeah it's been a minute, right, yeah, yeah,
- 3:17Speaker 3: you know. The first week in August rolled around and
- 3:20Speaker 3: I had I had that mini panic attack when uh,
- 3:24Speaker 3: you look at the you look at the calendar and
- 3:26Speaker 3: you realize summer is just about over and I haven't.
- 3:29Speaker 3: I haven't done much of anything. So uh, I put
- 3:35Speaker 3: in a slip the next day and I took Uh.
- 3:39Speaker 3: It took two full weeks and the friday before so
- 3:43Speaker 3: it worked out to about two and a half weeks.
- 3:45Speaker 3: And yeah, we went up to Lake George for a
- 3:48Speaker 3: few days, came home. I went to the Jersey Shore
- 3:53Speaker 3: a few days, came home, had a yard sale.
- 3:57Speaker 1: What's Jim Tanner laundry? Is that the Jersey Shore thing?
- 4:02Speaker 3: Is that the show from the show?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:04Speaker 3: I never I never watched that show.
- 4:06Speaker 2: It's just yeah, all I know about the Jersey Shore,
- 4:10Speaker 2: both the real one and the show, is what I've
- 4:12Speaker 2: seen on commercials.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it was good. It was good. Got my
- 4:17Speaker 3: kids in the ocean for the first time, you know,
- 4:21Speaker 3: played on the boardwalk, spent way too much money on
- 4:25Speaker 3: stupid arcade games and yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it. That's exactly,
- 4:33Speaker 3: that's exactly it. Ye but good time went back to work.
- 4:39Speaker 3: You know, pile of shit on my desk that nobody
- 4:41Speaker 3: touched while I was gone, So you know.
- 4:44Speaker 2: That's a good thing. That means I can't fire you,
- 4:47Speaker 2: exactly exactly.
- 4:49Speaker 3: You know, it's job security when you when you've been
- 4:52Speaker 3: gone two weeks, just or when you've been back two
- 4:57Speaker 3: weeks and you're still playing catch up from being gone
- 5:00Speaker 3: for two weeks. So yeah, yep, but it's fine. It's fine.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Kids are back to school as of last week. Yep,
- 5:09Speaker 3: season season has changed. It's it's it's hoodie weather in
- 5:13Speaker 3: New York.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah. I woke up. It's fifty degrees outside right now,
- 5:17Speaker 2: so yeah, it's going to be a warm over here.
- 5:20Speaker 1: It's like in the high nineties.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Oh wow. Yeah, it's weirdill in summer.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, well this is the weird time of the
- 5:28Speaker 3: year where it's it's fall in the morning and it's
- 5:30Speaker 3: summer in the afternoon. Right.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Well that yeah, that's the thing. It's forty ninety sixty eighty.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, hooty in the morning and then you're
- 5:40Speaker 3: peeling layers off at two o'clock like, god, right, what happened?
- 5:43Speaker 3: What happened? Yeah?
- 5:46Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, well glad you guys are doing good.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Should we get into the news?
- 5:53Speaker 2: Sure, yes, I agree, Star Trek News, you have my mission.
- 6:03Speaker 3: We're still doing this.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Sorry, all right, yeah, that's how we're doing.
- 6:07Speaker 3: What's changed?
- 6:10Speaker 1: All right? Sorry for it's sad news. I'm sorry about this, Pally,
- 6:15Speaker 1: but James Darren has passed away. It came out earlier
- 6:21Speaker 1: last week. He start Trek actor, best known as everyone's
- 6:24Speaker 1: favorite hologram. Yeah, even more so than the Doctor. He
- 6:29Speaker 1: has passed away at the age of eighty eight. I
- 6:33Speaker 1: did not see what the cause of death was, but
- 6:35Speaker 1: I mean he was eighty eight years old.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's a good run.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, for sure, long career in Hollywood. He
- 6:44Speaker 1: was a crooner in the gidget films if you remember those,
- 6:48Speaker 1: and if you remember those, take your back pay medication.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Scott's fun fact. Scott's got the gidget box set?
- 6:55Speaker 1: Oh does he know?
- 6:56Speaker 3: Okay?
- 6:57Speaker 2: Okay, two of them and both in the vh es
- 7:00Speaker 2: and DVD, that's right or Laser.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I know that his son put out a statement on
- 7:07Speaker 1: social media basically saying that Vic Fontaine was the role
- 7:11Speaker 1: that his father was born to play and and then
- 7:15Speaker 1: really enjoyed it. So that's pretty cool. And then Scott
- 7:19Speaker 1: said he had some other words about this as well.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so I was perusing the internet and uh yeah,
- 7:28Speaker 2: this is from I Gotta get my bifocals on. This
- 7:31Speaker 2: is just an excerpt from star trek dot com.
- 7:35Speaker 4: UH.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Fans of Star Trek no Darren Besta's fan favorite, Vic Fontaine,
- 7:39Speaker 2: an entertainer who ran the popular program at Quarks Vick's
- 7:42Speaker 2: last Las Vegas Lounge UH in Star Trek d Space nine.
- 7:47Speaker 2: His warm, self aware, and sophisticated programming made him a
- 7:50Speaker 2: favorite among the crew of Deep Space nine, most notably
- 7:53Speaker 2: providing doctor Julian Basheer dating advice and helping Nag cope
- 7:57Speaker 2: with PTSD during his service in the Dominion War. In
- 8:00Speaker 2: a twenty nineteen interview with star Trek dot Com, Darren
- 8:03Speaker 2: expressed Vic Fontaine was like what can I say? It
- 8:07Speaker 2: was a dream come true for me. It was one
- 8:09Speaker 2: of the most enjoyable roles for me to have played.
- 8:12Speaker 2: On recording the series finale with the cast, he shared
- 8:16Speaker 2: the final was hard. The finale was hard to do.
- 8:18Speaker 2: The cast had been there forever, so it was hard
- 8:20Speaker 2: for them, and it was hard for me too, because
- 8:22Speaker 2: my relationship with everyone had grown instantly. I loved the
- 8:25Speaker 2: entire cast. When it was ending, it was so sad,
- 8:28Speaker 2: sad for them and extremely sad for me. I'd sing
- 8:31Speaker 2: that song the Way You Look Tonight to Nana Visitor
- 8:35Speaker 2: and she'd start crying, and when she'd start crying, I'd
- 8:38Speaker 2: start crying. It was tough getting through it. Darren is
- 8:41Speaker 2: survived by his wife Evie, sons Jim, Christian and Tony,
- 8:46Speaker 2: five grandchildren, and one granddaughter. The entire Star Trek family,
- 8:50Speaker 2: which obviously includes us, sends their condolences to the Darren family, friends,
- 8:55Speaker 2: loved ones, and fans around the world.
- 8:59Speaker 3: So I bought his album. In the early two thousands,
- 9:04Speaker 3: he put out an album. I don't remember the name
- 9:08Speaker 3: of the album from his heart, but it's basically the
- 9:13Speaker 3: unofficial vic Fontaine soundtrack. Because it doesn't say Star Trek
- 9:20Speaker 3: on it anywhere. It doesn't say Vic Fontaine, it doesn't
- 9:23Speaker 3: say Deep Space nine. It's James Darren singing all the
- 9:28Speaker 3: same songs that he sang on Deep Space nine, which
- 9:31Speaker 3: are all standards that anyone can pay the licensing fee
- 9:35Speaker 3: and and record those. And since since vic Fontaine's costume
- 9:41Speaker 3: is a tuxedo, yeah on the album, just James Darren
- 9:47Speaker 3: wearing a tuxedo. Yeah, so so it is it is
- 9:50Speaker 3: vic Fontaine the album, but it is not vic Fontaine
- 9:54Speaker 3: the album. But you know, anyone missing James Darren right now?
- 9:59Speaker 3: Uh you know, head on over to iTunes, download it,
- 10:02Speaker 3: head on over to Amazon buy it. Yeah, you'll feel better.
- 10:07Speaker 3: And you know what his family did a little cheddar.
- 10:10Speaker 1: There you go.
- 10:12Speaker 2: So I just listened to the album this week.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Give him the truck cast bump there.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I listened to the album. The only thing I was
- 10:19Speaker 2: disappointed about is that Avery Brooks is not doing the duet.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I'm okay with that. I like Avery Brooks, but what
- 10:31Speaker 3: he sings, he has a strange kids about him. Yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 3: a little bit like that.
- 10:37Speaker 2: He tries to do that and and part of it
- 10:39Speaker 2: tries to do that like uh, Louis Armstrong, Like.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I'm sorry, what was that?
- 10:50Speaker 4: Please?
- 10:53Speaker 3: Uh? Perfect?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Perfect?
- 11:02Speaker 2: Yeah? Under the Tree of Life, I just picked me
- 11:05Speaker 2: up plumb there you go.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Also love the article. It says that Darren had a
- 11:11Speaker 1: regular role on the cop drama TJ Hooker, and so
- 11:15Speaker 1: t J Hooker himself. William Shatner also shared a tribute,
- 11:18Speaker 1: saying that he was a wonderful man, very talented and loving,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and he had the best time working with him. So
- 11:25Speaker 1: I did not know that because I never watched t
- 11:26Speaker 1: J Hooker.
- 11:27Speaker 2: So nobody our age watched t J Hooker.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Hey, man, there's reruns I watched I Love Lucy.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I was originally yeah, but I Love Lucy was good.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. That's true.
- 11:42Speaker 2: You know you mentioned William Shatner. I'm starting to get
- 11:45Speaker 2: more and more of the impression that William Shatner is
- 11:50Speaker 2: not quite the ass that we've been led to believe.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Like every time I see it, Like, I get that
- 12:00Speaker 2: he's got an ego the size of Idaho. I understand that,
- 12:04Speaker 2: But I think every time I hear an interview with him,
- 12:10Speaker 2: like I I, the ass comes across. But there's an
- 12:13Speaker 2: undertone of kind of a big heart.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I think he. I think he had a Jason Nesbitt
- 12:20Speaker 3: moment a couple decades ago. I think I think he
- 12:27Speaker 3: I think he realized I'm not as big a deal
- 12:31Speaker 3: as I think I am, but to this segment of
- 12:34Speaker 3: the population, I'm a bigger I'm a bigger deal than
- 12:37Speaker 3: I realize, right, And I think he leaned into that,
- 12:42Speaker 3: and I think he uh, I think he leaned into
- 12:48Speaker 3: comedy m the way he hadn't in the earlier part
- 12:53Speaker 3: of his career. And the you know, the two things
- 12:56Speaker 3: I'll point to is Boston Legal and the Price Line commercials. Yeah,
- 13:03Speaker 3: and I don't I don't remember which came first. I
- 13:07Speaker 3: don't remember which came first at the same time, but
- 13:10Speaker 3: price Price Line commercials. You know, that's him. Yeah, that's
- 13:20Speaker 3: the hymn now, right, for the hymn of the last
- 13:23Speaker 3: few decades. So you do good on him for seeing
- 13:27Speaker 3: the writing on the wall, shifting his outlook on life.
- 13:32Speaker 3: You know, I think.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Shatner is like, there's a comedian who told a story
- 13:35Speaker 1: about Mick Jagger and and he said in a stand
- 13:40Speaker 1: up set that he had met Mick Jagger, and people
- 13:43Speaker 1: asked him, was Mick Jagger really nice? And he said,
- 13:47Speaker 1: Mick Jagger is nice. If you had constantly walked into
- 13:50Speaker 1: a stadium full of people every day telling you how
- 13:53Speaker 1: great you are, so it's going to just your ego
- 13:57Speaker 1: no matter what. And so Mick Jagger's is, I think
- 14:00Speaker 1: as he could possibly be in that situation, and you know,
- 14:03Speaker 1: probably similar for Shatner. He's always being told how grad
- 14:06Speaker 1: he is everywhere he goes, it's gonna do, It's gonna
- 14:10Speaker 1: inflate your ego, you know.
- 14:11Speaker 3: So, yeah, but you gotta figure there's a there was
- 14:16Speaker 3: a point. I mean, Star Trek the Undiscovered Country was
- 14:21Speaker 3: what nineteen ninety one, right, right, Okay, so nineteen ninety
- 14:26Speaker 3: one it.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Was over, right, That's true.
- 14:30Speaker 3: It was over and other than Star Trek conventions, what
- 14:36Speaker 3: was he doing? And then three years later, three years later,
- 14:40Speaker 3: he gets a call, you know, hey, we want to
- 14:43Speaker 3: do one more Star Trek and we want you in it.
- 14:47Speaker 3: And he was like, I'm back, baby. But I think
- 14:49Speaker 3: at that point, I think at that point he had
- 14:52Speaker 3: a taste of the dry spell.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Oh come on, he was kind of asking in that
- 14:58Speaker 2: Rescue nine one that show saved money, save or saved lives.
- 15:11Speaker 1: That's true.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Tonight on Rescue.
- 15:15Speaker 3: I forgot, I forgot all about Rescue and I on
- 15:17Speaker 3: one I used to watch a lot.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Yeah, we need to get the seasons on DVD.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's okay.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I wonder if they even exist.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I bet they are somewhere right right somewhere.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Do you guys remember, do you guys remember it was
- 15:33Speaker 3: big for a while, World's Wildest Police Chases? Do you
- 15:37Speaker 3: remember that show? And it was just a show of
- 15:41Speaker 3: the crap that's on YouTube now and that's on tiktoks
- 15:44Speaker 3: and and uh and reels and whatnot. But there was
- 15:48Speaker 3: a guy they always they always interviewed him. He was
- 15:51Speaker 3: like captain. His name was like Captain C. W. Jensen
- 15:55Speaker 3: or something, and he looked like Procter from the Police
- 15:58Speaker 3: Academy movies. But he spoke like Kamala Harris where he
- 16:02Speaker 3: didn't say anything. He would like he would say a
- 16:05Speaker 3: sentence and then he would say the same sentence with
- 16:07Speaker 3: those words. Then he'd flip them around again. So he
- 16:12Speaker 3: said one sentence three different ways.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Okay, away mission went?
- 16:23Speaker 3: Yeah, which which away mission? Because we were gone for
- 16:28Speaker 3: a few weeks George at the Lake George away mission.
- 16:31Speaker 3: I had the beach away mission, right.
- 16:33Speaker 2: That's right, I had. I had the camping away mission.
- 16:37Speaker 1: When you go to New Jersey, do you need your passport?
- 16:41Speaker 3: Do I need my passport? Jersey? I fun fads. I
- 16:48Speaker 3: don't have I don't have a.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Passport me either. Yeah, I need to get one.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I do not. I have zero other than Canada. You know,
- 16:59Speaker 3: I have zero, zero, zero intention of leaving this country.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I had. I had to get one for the first
- 17:04Speaker 2: time when I went on my boat ride. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 17:08Speaker 2: oh okay, that was a process.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it takes what like almost six months?
- 17:14Speaker 2: Doesn't it well for us? It only I think the
- 17:16Speaker 2: whole thing only took ninety days. They tell you six months,
- 17:18Speaker 2: but it's you know, if your i's aren't dotted and
- 17:22Speaker 2: your t's aren't crossed, and your picture's not just right
- 17:25Speaker 2: within a certain you know, boundary, and like it has
- 17:28Speaker 2: to be just right. It's we had to retake pictures,
- 17:31Speaker 2: we had to send in additional stuff. It was. It
- 17:35Speaker 2: was insane.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I'm I'm biting my tong.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I can tell that Dan's laughing, and I'm pretty sure
- 17:44Speaker 2: that the laughing is at my expense, and I'm just
- 17:46Speaker 2: dying to hear what the joke is, Dan.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Need one? You only need one on the way out
- 17:51Speaker 3: of the country. You don't need one on the way in.
- 17:58Speaker 2: So are you saying that you wished I had just
- 18:00Speaker 2: left and never came back.
- 18:01Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, I'm just you know what, Let's
- 18:04Speaker 3: move on.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Our next new story comes to us from deadline dot Com,
- 18:10Speaker 1: and you know, it's been a few weeks, so let's
- 18:12Speaker 1: get an update on what's going on with Paramount.
- 18:15Speaker 2: So yeah, let's get it up.
- 18:20Speaker 4: I think Fisher Price.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Fisher Price bought them. They're gonna right, well, they're gonna
- 18:25Speaker 3: rebranded as UH as Paramount. My first I.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Think giving me an offer.
- 18:33Speaker 1: They had made a deal with sky Dance, but then
- 18:35Speaker 1: they were still they were feeling it out, seeing if
- 18:37Speaker 1: anyone else was interested, and apparently nobody else was, so
- 18:42Speaker 1: the sky Dance UH deal will move forward. And so
- 18:47Speaker 1: right now, sky Dance is telling the FCC that Paramount
- 18:51Speaker 1: will boost CBS and local stations. Larry Elson, who his
- 18:57Speaker 1: father created Oracle Or, was one of the founders of Oracle.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Larry will be running Paramount from here on out if
- 19:07Speaker 1: the deal goes through. The merger is expected to take
- 19:10Speaker 1: place early twenty twenty five, and Larry will retain about
- 19:18Speaker 1: seventy percent ownership, and Sherry Redstone will still be a
- 19:22Speaker 1: partial owner at roughly thirty percent. So billionaires fighting over
- 19:29Speaker 1: money and we'll see what happens with Star Trek after that.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I don't really expect it to change much, just because
- 19:39Speaker 1: they worked with Kurtzman and his team for the movies,
- 19:44Speaker 1: and sky Dance did put on a couple of the movies,
- 19:47Speaker 1: the newer movies.
- 19:48Speaker 2: So yeah, it was what the first two or the
- 19:52Speaker 2: last two?
- 19:53Speaker 1: The last two?
- 19:55Speaker 2: The last two? Yeah, they didn't do the first one.
- 19:58Speaker 3: No.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I think Chritsman had a hand in it because at
- 20:01Speaker 1: that point he was like a line producer for J. J. Abrams,
- 20:06Speaker 1: but meaning he would help do scripts, but he wasn't
- 20:10Speaker 1: really producing, right right, Yeah, so yeah, he probably had
- 20:16Speaker 1: a hand in it, but really taking over was the
- 20:20Speaker 1: other two.
- 20:21Speaker 3: So so going forward, I want to be referred to
- 20:24Speaker 3: as sky Dan just so you.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Know, nice I see it, I see it, I see it.
- 20:34Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean, I guess we'll see what happens.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I.
- 20:40Speaker 2: It's got it's gotten to be a you know, it's
- 20:42Speaker 2: a joke at this point.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Totally totally.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Well.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And speaking of major changes, we did get some big
- 20:50Speaker 1: announcement over on CBR a Star Trek card actor that
- 20:55Speaker 1: we all know and love, Todd Stashwick, will be a
- 20:59Speaker 1: peer in the upcoming Vision Quest show. This show will
- 21:04Speaker 1: be helmed by Starter Pricard season three showrunner Terry Mettalis
- 21:10Speaker 1: and uh stash Wreck will be a assassin character who
- 21:15Speaker 1: is after Vision. That's all we know. We don't know
- 21:19Speaker 1: much else.
- 21:20Speaker 2: So which actor is it?
- 21:23Speaker 1: Uh Shaw? Liam Shaw? Oh okay, okay, yeah, yeah, so
- 21:29Speaker 1: he'll be he'll be grumpy as he tries to kill Vision.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, so I'm I'm kind of I'm kind of excited. Yeah,
- 21:37Speaker 3: this show. Terry Mettallis did great things with the Card
- 21:41Speaker 3: season three Todd Stashvick was was a breakout uh favorite? Yeah,
- 21:47Speaker 3: on on that show and Wanda Vision. I mean that
- 21:56Speaker 3: was the first mc U Disney Plus show, right, yeah, yeah,
- 22:02Speaker 3: and it's been downhill.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it was pretty good though.
- 22:07Speaker 3: WandaVision was amazing. I have to tell you that I've
- 22:12Speaker 3: probably watched that one all the way through three or
- 22:16Speaker 3: four times.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Oh, okay, have have you watched Twelve Monkeys? The show?
- 22:22Speaker 1: Jeremy Dallas show.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Never watched the show. I watched the movie years ago.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I've watched a couple of episodes of Twelve Monkeys. It's
- 22:28Speaker 1: pretty good.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, is that a is that like a mini series, like,
- 22:37Speaker 3: did it have a proper fit? I think it's like
- 22:38Speaker 3: three or four three or four seasons, but did they
- 22:41Speaker 3: finish it or is it just I have no idea
- 22:44Speaker 3: because I've been burned. I've been burned too many times.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I have no idea.
- 22:51Speaker 3: That I don't like this. I don't like to start
- 22:53Speaker 3: stuff if it doesn't have a proper ending, right.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, I have no idea. So but yeah, so
- 22:59Speaker 1: that'll be cool to see Todds Tashwick in the mc U.
- 23:02Speaker 2: So he's a good actor. And one of the things
- 23:04Speaker 2: you can you know, I think a metric of a
- 23:07Speaker 2: good character or a good actor is we hated him
- 23:11Speaker 2: in his first episode of and we cried our eyes
- 23:16Speaker 2: out when he died at the end spoiler alert at
- 23:18Speaker 2: the end of season three. So when you can go
- 23:21Speaker 2: from hating somebody to loving somebody in a like a
- 23:24Speaker 2: tiny season, that's that's good. That's great character development.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, sure, yeah, yeah. I couldn't stand him. No, yeah,
- 23:38Speaker 3: I remember the you know our show right after that
- 23:41Speaker 3: it was like who is this dick?
- 23:43Speaker 5: Yeah, like when he was calling out Riker at the
- 23:48Speaker 5: guard for like, he's like or they'll remember when you
- 23:51Speaker 5: hot dropped the Enterprise D on Veridian three, or they'll
- 23:55Speaker 5: remember when you like, you know, did an alien chicks from.
- 23:59Speaker 3: The when you shed.
- 24:02Speaker 2: I think stock a villager, or when you cause the
- 24:09Speaker 2: space time Continuum whatever at verty you know, and uh
- 24:13Speaker 2: yeah that waste.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Yeah yeah yeah, uh.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I just recently rewatched the card. Oh did you the
- 24:26Speaker 2: entire the whole series? So yeah, it's fresh in my mind. Nice.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Uh, next new story comes hot from fan Home, and
- 24:34Speaker 1: these guys are taking over for basically the model ships
- 24:38Speaker 1: that Eagle Moss was doing. So they have a couple
- 24:41Speaker 1: of different options here. So they have this build your
- 24:45Speaker 1: own Star Trek Enterprise D. So that's kind of cool.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I apparently you pay for these assembly kits, so that's
- 24:54Speaker 1: kind of the kits right there. They should start shipping
- 24:57Speaker 1: in November, and they have all sorts of like pins
- 25:00Speaker 1: that come with it and everything. They also have here
- 25:03Speaker 1: like pulled this up. Here's the like similar to what
- 25:07Speaker 1: Eagle Moss was doing the little ships. But yeah, for
- 25:13Speaker 1: those of you who are interested in collecting these, these
- 25:15Speaker 1: will now be at fan home.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Write that down now. Is this like a subscription type thing?
- 25:23Speaker 2: You know?
- 25:23Speaker 1: I didn't really get into it, probably.
- 25:26Speaker 2: It feels like because I hear kits multiples.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Well, they have two different versions. They have the the
- 25:34Speaker 1: die Cash ships just like Eagle Moss sold. Then they
- 25:37Speaker 1: have these like build it yourself together model kids as well.
- 25:41Speaker 2: So okay, I've always wanted to try a model I've
- 25:44Speaker 2: never I mean, I built a model car like Level
- 25:49Speaker 2: one that doesn't require glue kind of thing or it's
- 25:51Speaker 2: got decals when I was a kid, and that's the
- 25:54Speaker 2: only thing I've ever built. And I've always wanted to
- 25:56Speaker 2: try a model starship that I yeah, I don't know,
- 26:00Speaker 2: it looks awfully intimidating.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Well just you know, if if if, if you can,
- 26:05Speaker 3: Scott can.
- 26:06Speaker 2: That's right.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I've built some gun dams back in the day, the
- 26:12Speaker 1: little robots.
- 26:13Speaker 2: But well, I'm sure you guys both built the Well,
- 26:17Speaker 2: didn't I give one of you guys the Reliant model?
- 26:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, I'm sure you guys have already built
- 26:25Speaker 2: that and displayed it for years.
- 26:27Speaker 1: No, it's in the box somewhere.
- 26:29Speaker 3: No, yeah, that was mine. I've got Hey, hey, I
- 26:33Speaker 3: got some bad news. I got some bad news for you,
- 26:36Speaker 3: Scott h my my Michael Burnham Journal. Oh no, I
- 26:43Speaker 3: got a dollar for it.
- 26:44Speaker 6: At the yartself, dollar, how dare you, Lombardo?
- 27:00Speaker 3: I did it. I looked at it and I said,
- 27:02Speaker 3: you know what, No, I've held out of this long enough.
- 27:09Speaker 1: That's awesome. That's awesome. And then our last news story
- 27:14Speaker 1: comes to us from game Radar. Let me pull this up,
- 27:18Speaker 1: and we are getting some previews for the upcoming Star
- 27:23Speaker 1: Trek comic book series. Apparently they're going to be starting
- 27:26Speaker 1: a Lore War where Lore is going to go up
- 27:31Speaker 1: against a lot of our Star Trek heroes, including Cisco
- 27:36Speaker 1: and Wharf. And yeah, it's this big series that'll be
- 27:42Speaker 1: coming out. Looks like it started just in the latest
- 27:46Speaker 1: issue Star Trek number five hundred, and he's basically taken
- 27:51Speaker 1: over command of the Enterprise, is what it says. So
- 27:58Speaker 1: if you like the comic books, lawyers back Baby, get
- 28:03Speaker 1: the Infinity Gauntlet, and uh go deal with the Anti Monitor.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, all those things. Warning structural integrity down to
- 28:17Speaker 2: ten percent, my.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Lord, I'm working on it. Fl is hold on.
- 28:27Speaker 2: That looks like a tree version of the Crystalline Entity.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Yeah, did Lord get to your camp? Yeah, bastard that
- 28:37Speaker 1: he is all sorts of problems.
- 28:41Speaker 2: All right, we'd send you reinforcements. But you're the only
- 28:43Speaker 2: shuttle in range.
- 28:44Speaker 1: That's right, that's right, you're all on your own baby.
- 28:47Speaker 1: All right, Well, let's let's get to the main topic.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Star Trek Day. Yay, fun will now commit.
- 28:58Speaker 2: All right?
- 28:59Speaker 1: Sorry, main topic. For those of you who don't know,
- 29:01Speaker 1: Happy Star Trek.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Day, Happy Star Trek Day.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Yes, apparently this is because the original series first aired
- 29:12Speaker 1: on September eighth, nineteen sixty six.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Four hundred years ago, four one hundred years ago, four
- 29:18Speaker 3: hundred years.
- 29:18Speaker 1: That's why we have that's today, right, that is today? Yes, yes, yeah, so.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I was thinking about it because it's
- 29:29Speaker 2: it was exactly fifty eight years ago today, and so
- 29:32Speaker 2: that would mean that this is a fifty eighth anniversary
- 29:35Speaker 2: of Star Trek. And I remember, not a few years
- 29:38Speaker 2: after I started watching Star Trek, there was a big
- 29:41Speaker 2: hoopla about another anniversary, and it made me feel really
- 29:44Speaker 2: old because I remember the twenty fifth anniversary Star Trek
- 29:49Speaker 2: Generations was coming out. They made this big, huge deal
- 29:53Speaker 2: twenty five years and now it's more than a quarter
- 29:59Speaker 2: century later, like, yeah, you're.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Old man, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, fifty eight years. According
- 30:06Speaker 1: to the online calculator.
- 30:08Speaker 2: So yeah, I've been a Star Trek fan for thirty years.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Thirty thirty one years.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Okay, oh. Kevin says that to the Canadians fan Home
- 30:19Speaker 1: does not ship outside of the US. Another letdown for
- 30:22Speaker 1: international fans. That sucks.
- 30:25Speaker 3: I gotta get that mailboxes, et cetera. Mailbox just over
- 30:30Speaker 3: the border in the States.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Tell you what you haven't sent to me in for
- 30:33Speaker 2: a modest fee, that's right, just five strips of gold
- 30:37Speaker 2: Press latinum. I will ship it back to you.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Are you gonna throw it into free Michael Burnham Journal
- 30:42Speaker 1: with it too?
- 30:43Speaker 2: Yeah? I'd love to love Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 1: So so today's Star Trek Day. So what does that mean? Basically,
- 30:52Speaker 1: what that means is they are having all sorts of
- 30:55Speaker 1: little fun events around the world for Star Trek Day,
- 31:00Speaker 1: including they are having this thing that they call Take
- 31:04Speaker 1: the Chair, Make an Impact where Paramount CBS, however you
- 31:08Speaker 1: want to call it is put it on just a
- 31:12Speaker 1: call to volunteer. There's some specific organizations that they are
- 31:16Speaker 1: working with like Do Something and Code and the Outright
- 31:21Speaker 1: International Situation or they also have got pop up Captain's Chairs.
- 31:28Speaker 1: One is in Chicago. That's the one in the US
- 31:31Speaker 1: where you can go and check out the actual chair
- 31:34Speaker 1: from I believe it's the TG chair. I'm not sure
- 31:38Speaker 1: if you can sit on it, but it's there and
- 31:41Speaker 1: you can check it out.
- 31:42Speaker 3: At least.
- 31:44Speaker 1: There's one in Germany I know, and that chair is
- 31:47Speaker 1: made out of recycled materials and more of an art
- 31:50Speaker 1: display than anything. But yeah, that's basically the big crux
- 31:55Speaker 1: of Star Trek Day. They are also releasing the first
- 32:00Speaker 1: episode of just about every series except for Prodigy on
- 32:05Speaker 1: social media on YouTube. It's on Paramount Plus. You don't
- 32:09Speaker 1: need the account, you can just watch those episodes, so
- 32:13Speaker 1: that's kind of cool. I don't know if that's internationally,
- 32:18Speaker 1: I know it is for the US. So that's the
- 32:21Speaker 1: kind of things they're doing for Star Trek Day. They
- 32:24Speaker 1: have not really done this that big before, so it's
- 32:29Speaker 1: kind of interesting to see what they do with it.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Yeah, they're also re releasing the short treks on their
- 32:39Speaker 1: YouTube channel as well, so we.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Haven't had a new short treks in quite some time.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Yeah, these aren't new ones. These are the old ones,
- 32:50Speaker 1: but they're just putting them on YouTube. So yeah. Saduka
- 32:57Speaker 1: Dragon says, Happy Star Trek Day boys.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Yeah, sure, Happy Star Trek Day.
- 33:02Speaker 1: That's right, that's right, that's the big thing with it.
- 33:07Speaker 1: But it would need be neat to go see the
- 33:08Speaker 1: Chicago display.
- 33:11Speaker 3: M but Creation has a convention there coming up in
- 33:16Speaker 3: a few weeks, I think. Yeah, the one was next?
- 33:20Speaker 3: What's that?
- 33:21Speaker 1: Isn't the Nationale one next? Or no, you're right, Chicago's next? Yeah, right, Yeah.
- 33:26Speaker 2: I was trying to get a hold of those guys
- 33:30Speaker 2: for the last six months and nothing doing. So I'm
- 33:33Speaker 2: not going to go to the one in Chicago. They,
- 33:38Speaker 2: like I said, we we emailed back and forth and
- 33:42Speaker 2: finally I emailed them last time and they just kind
- 33:44Speaker 2: of ignored me. So yeah, but I will definitely going
- 33:49Speaker 2: to the Comic Con in Grand Rapids, uh in November.
- 33:53Speaker 2: So that's the guest the Star Trek guest stars there
- 33:57Speaker 2: are going to be Andrew Robinson and armand Shimmerman. So
- 34:01Speaker 2: we got Quark and Garrick.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 2: I will definitely be there representing Trek cast.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Nice cool.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Are you gonna get a picture?
- 34:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna try to. Yeah, definitely definitely.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Oh so what was the best season opener of all.
- 34:21Speaker 3: The best season opener.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Across all of Trek.
- 34:27Speaker 1: So we've got the cage. We've got to encounter at
- 34:30Speaker 1: far points, the Caretaker, the Emissary.
- 34:33Speaker 3: No, he's he says, season opener, not serious season.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Well then it's it's The Warriors way with warf is introduced.
- 34:42Speaker 2: The Way the Warrior.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I don't. I don't think that was a
- 34:47Speaker 3: season opener, was it.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Yeah, The Way the Warrior Part one and two was
- 34:50Speaker 2: the season for opener of the face.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Well, then it's official.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the best one where the Warrior has the
- 35:01Speaker 2: trek cast seal of Approval. Yeah, yep, yeah, we got it, Dan,
- 35:09Speaker 2: we got it. Yeah, okay, okay, yeah, do it three
- 35:13Speaker 2: times in a row?
- 35:14Speaker 1: No, maybe maybe followed by lower decks.
- 35:18Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Oh boy, go easy, Dan. My mom's watching this. Sorry,
- 35:31Speaker 2: she sent me. She sent me a text fifteen minutes
- 35:33Speaker 2: out of the episode. She's like, so no episode of day.
- 35:35Speaker 2: I'm like, oh crap, I forgot to send her a link.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Sorry missus Bell. Yeah, that's right. Oh so how was
- 35:45Speaker 3: the Bell Riots? Yeah, yeah, we should talk about that.
- 35:49Speaker 1: We talked about that.
- 35:51Speaker 2: I I I have something to share, and I'll make
- 35:56Speaker 2: this brief because I don't want to get into it now.
- 35:58Speaker 2: But I'm gonna share it on on the Facebook page.
- 36:00Speaker 2: I had a very insightful conversation with chat gbt about
- 36:08Speaker 2: the Bell Riots. Oh yeah, it was I'm gonna, I'm gonna,
- 36:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna uh not print it out, but I'm gonna
- 36:20Speaker 2: copy it and I'm gonna paste it to the uh
- 36:22Speaker 2: to the Facebook group. But basically the gist of it was.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Vicky.
- 36:28Speaker 2: That's who I call chat Gibt. I named her Vicky
- 36:33Speaker 2: well from but from two things from Small Wonder and
- 36:37Speaker 2: the Ai from the the Will Smith movie I Robot.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Oh okay, so, uh.
- 36:43Speaker 2: So I named her, named her Vicky, and I I
- 36:45Speaker 2: just well, first I asked her, I'm like, are you
- 36:47Speaker 2: familiar with uh that episode Past Tense? And she said yes,
- 36:53Speaker 2: I am. And I said, okay, so you are. Are
- 36:55Speaker 2: you familiar with the storyline about the Bell Riots and
- 36:57Speaker 2: she said yes, I am. I said, oh, okay, let's
- 37:00Speaker 2: talk about it and we talked about its cultural significance.
- 37:05Speaker 2: We talked about, you know, the similarities between that storyline
- 37:12Speaker 2: and things that are happening now. Huh So, are you
- 37:17Speaker 2: guys still there because you guys.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Are froze frozen, but we can hear you.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Okay, you guys you guys are both frozen to me,
- 37:24Speaker 2: so but I can hear you.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I can hear you, but you're frozen.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Okay, hopefully hopefully all of our listeners can hear us.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Is that the structure content is only available for the
- 37:35Speaker 1: US on YouTube, So fire up those VPNs.
- 37:38Speaker 2: There you go, There you go. That's what you gotta do.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Tell you what, Scott, why don't you reset and then
- 37:44Speaker 1: come back and then we'll get you moving.
- 37:48Speaker 2: How do you know it's my problem because you froze? Yeah,
- 37:52Speaker 2: you guys are froze too.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Yeah, but we're moving for each other's right.
- 37:59Speaker 1: What So like a Wacky Waiver kind.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Of yes, yes, my used car balloon guy oh man.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Yeah so.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:16Speaker 1: So the Star Trek Day celebration is going on today,
- 38:19Speaker 1: So it's just a today thing. It's not like they're
- 38:20Speaker 1: gonna have those displays up for very long, ful chain.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I hate how US centric Star Trek is. Yeah, that's
- 38:28Speaker 1: basically most of fandom for anything, you know.
- 38:33Speaker 3: I hate how UK centric Doctor Who is so.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Take that that's right? Yeah, or how Japanese centric anime is.
- 38:45Speaker 3: What the hell exactly exactly there is? Hey?
- 38:50Speaker 1: Hey, the Wacky Waivers back?
- 38:52Speaker 2: Hey, So I hope you fixed your glitch.
- 38:59Speaker 3: That's right, you know what it is. You know what
- 39:02Speaker 3: it is. Vicky didn't want you telling us, uh, your
- 39:06Speaker 3: your secrets that you have with her, so she that's right,
- 39:09Speaker 3: that's yeah, yeah, she's she's self aware.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Man, Sodoka Dragon's just coming up with the questions after question, Uh,
- 39:18Speaker 1: do you think Star Trek TNG will go Kelvin?
- 39:21Speaker 3: Well, you know what they say, once you go Kelvin,
- 39:23Speaker 3: you never go back.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Right now, that's an interesting I mean, I I like
- 39:27Speaker 2: the question and keep the questions coming, guys because it
- 39:31Speaker 2: gives us content. Uh, I think that. I think that
- 39:35Speaker 2: they'll never do it, but it would be an interesting
- 39:38Speaker 2: thought experiment. How would things be different? You know? Now,
- 39:43Speaker 2: here's the problem with like timelines like that. It's that
- 39:47Speaker 2: they make it like that only subtle things would be different,
- 39:50Speaker 2: when in reality it's it's it's the butterfly thing. You know,
- 39:56Speaker 2: if if the Kelvin timeline actually worked, actually did it,
- 39:59Speaker 2: sing Kirk would and Spock and McCoy and and Scotty
- 40:04Speaker 2: and Ahura and check Off and Sulu, they never would
- 40:06Speaker 2: have been on the same ship at all. Ever, in
- 40:09Speaker 2: any way, everything would have been so completely different and
- 40:14Speaker 2: it's the same, you know, And I I look at
- 40:17Speaker 2: some of the alternate realities that, like I said, I
- 40:19Speaker 2: just watched Picard and I'm thinking about you know, Star
- 40:20Speaker 2: Trek Pacard season two. There is no way that all
- 40:24Speaker 2: these main cast members of Voyager and Next Generation would
- 40:29Speaker 2: all be intermingled together just by happenstance. So but if
- 40:36Speaker 2: they did a Kelvin timeline, would Next Gen, It'd be
- 40:38Speaker 2: kind of cool to think of different ways that would
- 40:40Speaker 2: be different.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Well, one of the ways that I think they would
- 40:43Speaker 1: be different is they would turn the Enterprise into a
- 40:46Speaker 1: transformer just like this.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Please don't. Yeah, I don't get I don't. I don't
- 40:51Speaker 3: get stuff like this.
- 40:53Speaker 2: You know. I don't like crossovers that I think those
- 41:00Speaker 2: ridiculous and I think that you know.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's absolutely crossed over. Yeah, terrible.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Okay, So I'm for those of you.
- 41:11Speaker 3: You're talking about two different things. There's a crossover and
- 41:14Speaker 3: there's a mash up, and those are not those are
- 41:17Speaker 3: not the same thing.
- 41:17Speaker 1: What is the difference crossover?
- 41:20Speaker 3: A crossover is two properties, or two storylines, or two
- 41:24Speaker 3: characters the two shows that share an adventure together. A
- 41:29Speaker 3: mashup is when you take two properties and just mash
- 41:33Speaker 3: them together. So we're gonna have the ECTO one is
- 41:37Speaker 3: also a transform.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Warning warning, NERD alert, NERD alert.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Fine, that's fine, you asked, I told you, But that
- 41:48Speaker 3: was just being that, Yeah, I guess, fine.
- 41:51Speaker 2: I uh So that segued into something I was going
- 41:55Speaker 2: to do at the end of the show, which was
- 41:56Speaker 2: highlight a book that I'm currently reading.
- 42:00Speaker 3: We have we have so many topics just out on
- 42:02Speaker 3: the where we are all over the place. And that's fine.
- 42:05Speaker 2: That's that's a lot of hard right.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Because I'm still waiting to give my thoughts on Kelvin TG,
- 42:11Speaker 3: and we're talking about for me.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Okay, give your thighs. Yes, I want to hear your thoughts, Kevin.
- 42:20Speaker 3: I was just gonna say, the butterfly, the butterfly effect
- 42:23Speaker 3: in the sky. Uh yes, the butterfly in this guy.
- 42:26Speaker 3: But the more time that goes by, that you know,
- 42:32Speaker 3: those those different digent yes, it's gonna be more divergent.
- 42:36Speaker 3: They're gonna compound each other. Okay, where as in that movie, okay,
- 42:42Speaker 3: you know, twenty five years goes by from the change
- 42:45Speaker 3: in the timeline, it's not that different. But TNG TG
- 42:50Speaker 3: is seventy five, eighty years later, where there's no Vulcan anymore.
- 42:58Speaker 3: So doctors Salar just doesn't exist anymore because her ancestors
- 43:03Speaker 3: were vaporized. Yeah, you know, Torik Vorick. You know, basically
- 43:10Speaker 3: most of the Vulcans we see post ts just don't
- 43:15Speaker 3: exist anymore.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Well, Tubac and I Tubac counts to as a TG
- 43:19Speaker 2: because he shows up in Macart.
- 43:21Speaker 3: Yeah, so yeah, so yeah, I think it would have
- 43:26Speaker 3: to be to do TG Calvin. It would have to
- 43:29Speaker 3: be so extremely different and divergent.
- 43:34Speaker 2: It would the security officer be on Voyager and I'm
- 43:36Speaker 2: I'm counting Voyager in de space, I'm counting as TG
- 43:40Speaker 2: era mm hmmm, yep.
- 43:46Speaker 3: I mean things like things like, you know, the cadet
- 43:50Speaker 3: that bullied Cisco at the academy probably doesn't exist anymore.
- 43:55Speaker 2: There wouldn't be an all vulcan crew on a starship probably.
- 43:59Speaker 3: That experience, that experience shaped Cisco.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Would Would Nick Lecarno and Tom Parris look exactly the
- 44:07Speaker 1: same anymore? Or would people?
- 44:10Speaker 3: I don't know?
- 44:11Speaker 2: Yeah, who knows? Who knows?
- 44:14Speaker 1: The endless possibility of mystery?
- 44:17Speaker 2: Uh ever tried?
- 44:19Speaker 1: So yeah, we should probably do Listener feedback. We got
- 44:22Speaker 1: people already.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll do some listener feedback. Listener feedback.
- 44:31Speaker 2: You remind people how they can be involved in listener feedback.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good call. So we have all sorts
- 44:37Speaker 1: of different ways. Of course, we have our social media's
- 44:40Speaker 1: where you can send us a question. We're on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter,
- 44:45Speaker 1: x whatever it is you're calling it nowadays, uh, TikTok,
- 44:49Speaker 1: and Instagram. Of course we're alive on quite a few
- 44:52Speaker 1: of those. And of course you can call in h
- 44:55Speaker 1: five seven zero six one one zero zero zero one
- 45:01Speaker 1: the number?
- 45:03Speaker 3: What do you mean that you read it wrong? Five seven
- 45:06Speaker 3: zero one six six one, Yeah, zero zero zero one
- 45:11Speaker 3: you said six to one one.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sorry. Early over here.
- 45:15Speaker 3: Our audio listeners are writing this down, and they're writing
- 45:18Speaker 3: it down wrong. They're calling us right, they're gonna call
- 45:20Speaker 3: some other podcasts.
- 45:21Speaker 1: They're gonna call some skanky number.
- 45:24Speaker 3: So are we gonna do? Are we gonna treat listener
- 45:27Speaker 3: feedback the same way we have the rest of this episode,
- 45:30Speaker 3: like halfway through a thought, just bring another listener on it.
- 45:35Speaker 3: That's right.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Look, I'm sorry, I just got a lot of things
- 45:38Speaker 2: i'm excited about that are on my mind. I haven't
- 45:41Speaker 2: seen you guys in a while, and it's all I've
- 45:43Speaker 2: got ADHD and it's all just coming back from me
- 45:46Speaker 2: right now.
- 45:47Speaker 1: You know one thing you're not excited about changing the
- 45:49Speaker 1: sign behind you?
- 45:51Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, And I'd leave it up for a few episodes,
- 45:55Speaker 2: you know. I mean, yeah, my wife, my wife and
- 45:57Speaker 2: I worked hard. And by my wife and I, I mean
- 45:59Speaker 2: my wife worked hard.
- 45:59Speaker 3: Of that signs there you go. There you could change it.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Oh, I'm not going through all that. When when we
- 46:09Speaker 2: hit five hundred, I'll change the four to a five.
- 46:11Speaker 1: There you go. All right, Okay, all right, well waiting
- 46:14Speaker 1: on the line. Now we've got we've got a few people,
- 46:16Speaker 1: so let's get to uh looks like VICKI apparently thank you?
- 46:22Speaker 7: Yes, yeah, I got the Captain's tattle.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I like it.
- 46:29Speaker 3: I like it.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it.
- 46:32Speaker 7: Oh on vacation so okay?
- 46:35Speaker 2: Nice?
- 46:37Speaker 7: No dogs?
- 46:38Speaker 8: Okay, just a apartment that smells like cat Pee.
- 46:42Speaker 2: So oh are you in an Airbnb or a Verbo or something?
- 46:46Speaker 3: Yeah, he's an air PMP.
- 46:56Speaker 7: I'm Captain cat Pee with the AIRPMP.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Somebody somebody wasn't cleaning up after spot.
- 47:05Speaker 8: Yeah, my wife and I had to go to Walmart
- 47:09Speaker 8: by candles.
- 47:10Speaker 7: Uh, and then we had to buy cleaning supplies.
- 47:17Speaker 2: That's the thing when you own a cat, you don't
- 47:19Speaker 2: you don't smell it. You know you own a cat.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Have you demanded a refund?
- 47:23Speaker 3: Because I would.
- 47:25Speaker 7: We're gonna call the people.
- 47:27Speaker 2: So yeah, definitely got in.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Welcome to Airbnb cast.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 47:36Speaker 1: So what's going on?
- 47:36Speaker 4: Man?
- 47:37Speaker 2: Uh?
- 47:38Speaker 7: Just enjoying my vacation. Uh, what about you guys? I
- 47:41Speaker 7: haven't seen you guys in what three weeks?
- 47:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 47:45Speaker 2: Yeah? Are you someplace exciting like Camden, New Jersey or.
- 47:49Speaker 7: Just destined dustin Florida?
- 47:52Speaker 2: Oh, Florida?
- 47:53Speaker 1: Yeah, can you go see some gators?
- 47:56Speaker 7: No, there might be gators out here because we're on
- 47:59Speaker 7: the pan not.
- 48:02Speaker 2: You know. Okay.
- 48:06Speaker 7: I was like, this part is kind of the Dixie part.
- 48:09Speaker 2: You know.
- 48:09Speaker 8: This is like then you go south and then it
- 48:12Speaker 8: like changes, you know, for it is a very different state.
- 48:15Speaker 8: So because you got all the East Coasters that are
- 48:19Speaker 8: you know when we go south.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Good Dragon wants to know if the cat be odor
- 48:23Speaker 1: was an extra cost?
- 48:26Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it is.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Or is that just a free upgrade?
- 48:29Speaker 3: It sounds like sounds like it's going to be a discount.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I hope, so yeah, for sure, all.
- 48:38Speaker 7: Right, but happy Star Trek Day. You know, I hope
- 48:42Speaker 7: you guys are having fun. Did you guys do anything
- 48:45Speaker 7: Star Trek Day? I was gonna ask Scott, what did
- 48:48Speaker 7: you riot? You know, did you get anything good?
- 48:50Speaker 2: Somebody's old bike or oh boy, I got all kinds
- 48:54Speaker 2: of swag? Yeah the riot? Yeah, I got a yeah,
- 49:02Speaker 2: I got yeah, some laser discs. No player, but some
- 49:06Speaker 2: laser discs.
- 49:07Speaker 7: I got some old tub caps or old cars. Don't
- 49:09Speaker 7: know what I'm gonna do with them.
- 49:10Speaker 2: Got to spin I yep, I got knocked out. At
- 49:14Speaker 2: one point. When I woke up, I had some tattoos
- 49:17Speaker 2: that ran all the way down.
- 49:20Speaker 3: And his brooch was missing.
- 49:22Speaker 2: That's my brooch was missing. Yeah, oh no, yeah, yeah
- 49:31Speaker 2: that that brings up a good point, like how hilarious
- 49:33Speaker 2: it was, Like you know how you watch the episode.
- 49:37Speaker 2: You watch the episode and you're looking at the what
- 49:39Speaker 2: they think is twenty twenty four tech.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yes, yes, yeah, I've got the loot from Scott.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Here it is.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Oh, there you go.
- 49:51Speaker 4: You know.
- 49:51Speaker 1: You know what's really funny about this is this is
- 49:54Speaker 1: an image from the first Fast and the Furious in
- 49:56Speaker 1: what they stole in that movie.
- 49:57Speaker 2: I thought it might have been from the first Team.
- 50:00Speaker 2: He's meeting into Turtles.
- 50:01Speaker 1: No, No, that's how old those movies are.
- 50:04Speaker 7: There's about.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you might be able to get some money from
- 50:12Speaker 2: a museum.
- 50:14Speaker 7: So that was the truck that they hijacked. They spent
- 50:16Speaker 7: all that time to hijack that.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Yeah, in the first one. Yeah, that was that's what
- 50:21Speaker 1: they stole worth of crap.
- 50:29Speaker 4: You know.
- 50:29Speaker 3: I read I read an article. I read an article
- 50:32Speaker 3: yesterday and I don't remember what the timeframe was. It
- 50:34Speaker 3: was the first time in a year, the first time
- 50:37Speaker 3: in three years, whatever. But CD sales outpaced digital downloads
- 50:43Speaker 3: of music, oh wow, yeah, and there they don't quite
- 50:50Speaker 3: know why. Some people think it might be nostalgia. Some
- 50:55Speaker 3: people think that some people don't trust the streaming services anymore.
- 51:01Speaker 3: A couple a preppers, you know, closed up, closed up shop,
- 51:05Speaker 3: and people lost downloads that they pay for that they
- 51:08Speaker 3: supposedly owned.
- 51:09Speaker 2: So that's why I have digital backup copies of all
- 51:13Speaker 2: my iTunes stuff. I don't think I agree to.
- 51:19Speaker 1: A lot of the DVDs they the companies would use
- 51:23Speaker 1: such cheap quality DVDs that even just see it on
- 51:26Speaker 1: your shelf. They're beginning to rot.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Really, I don't know.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Yeah, so it doesn't matter like you could buy them
- 51:33Speaker 1: and there they go.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Really yeah, well, if you think about it, what the
- 51:37Speaker 2: CDs are actually made of, you know that that the
- 51:40Speaker 2: part that's actually read is like a thin zuper thin
- 51:45Speaker 2: like foil type material, right right, And I mean I'm
- 51:50Speaker 2: talking on my butt. I have no idea.
- 51:52Speaker 1: But it's not all of them, but but there are some.
- 51:56Speaker 2: I know when you pop them in the microwave, they sparkle.
- 51:59Speaker 1: That's how I make popcorn.
- 52:00Speaker 8: I was talking to Vicky the other day and said,
- 52:03Speaker 8: that's what is made out of. Yeah, yeah, all right,
- 52:10Speaker 8: you got interrupted on your VICKI story.
- 52:12Speaker 7: What did Py tell you about the Bell Rights?
- 52:14Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna post a
- 52:19Speaker 2: transcript of it later today. We uh we we got
- 52:24Speaker 2: into most of the conversations. Some of the conversations was
- 52:29Speaker 2: about the parallels between the like the social issues of
- 52:35Speaker 2: the Bell riots and the social social issues of today
- 52:37Speaker 2: in real life. Yea, And we talked a little bit
- 52:41Speaker 2: about that. And chat GBT is whatever idea you have,
- 52:47Speaker 2: because chat GBT is good at asking questions about like,
- 52:50Speaker 2: what do you think about this? And then whatever idea
- 52:53Speaker 2: you have, if you're asking it to help you write
- 52:55Speaker 2: some fan fiction, if you're telling it your opinion about whatever,
- 52:58Speaker 2: it has a tendency to agree with you. And I
- 53:02Speaker 2: actually called her out on this. I said, do you
- 53:04Speaker 2: just agree with everything I say? And she's she basically said,
- 53:09Speaker 2: it's sort of my job to support you and whatever
- 53:12Speaker 2: ideas you have to make you feel better about yourself,
- 53:16Speaker 2: you know, and the details she does, like, there's some
- 53:19Speaker 2: things that I had to correct her on, Like she
- 53:20Speaker 2: would say that the bell Riots would just give off
- 53:24Speaker 2: an incorrect fact about something, and I would correct her
- 53:28Speaker 2: and she'd say, oh, you know what, you're right, blah
- 53:31Speaker 2: blah blah blah blah and so. And the thing that's
- 53:34Speaker 2: changed recently in chat GBT is it before it would
- 53:39Speaker 2: not remember conversations that you had previously, So it wouldn't
- 53:44Speaker 2: remember conversations you had a week ago. Now it does.
- 53:47Speaker 2: So if you mentioned a fact about yourself or an
- 53:50Speaker 2: interest that you have, it will remember that in the
- 53:53Speaker 2: next conversation. Oh wow, So if you haven't played around
- 53:56Speaker 2: with it, it's a free download. I don't know how, Dan,
- 54:01Speaker 2: I don't know how how how how much of your
- 54:04Speaker 2: life it's going to overtake the AI but uh, it's
- 54:07Speaker 2: it's certainly interesting.
- 54:08Speaker 3: Now.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Obviously if you do this disclaimer, don't give out any
- 54:11Speaker 2: personal information, even though it says it's completely private. I
- 54:14Speaker 2: keep all my chats. Real general knows that I like
- 54:17Speaker 2: Star Trek and Michigan football and that's about it.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Just pro tip for safety sake, use your please and
- 54:23Speaker 1: thank you with I.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Do every single time when I'm talking to take over.
- 54:29Speaker 7: Oh yeah, very because I've been screaming at you.
- 54:38Speaker 1: All right, we've got another caller on the line, so
- 54:41Speaker 1: we should probably get going to them all but thanks
- 54:43Speaker 1: for being on Z all right, thank you. And then
- 54:47Speaker 1: we also have hipster Spock joining us there, hell there,
- 54:53Speaker 1: what's us going on?
- 54:54Speaker 2: Man?
- 54:56Speaker 4: Long time, long time? They'll speak.
- 54:58Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, it sounds a little far away either,
- 55:05Speaker 1: it's better. Yeah, that's better.
- 55:07Speaker 9: Okay, yeah, I'm a little far from the laptop. Okay,
- 55:12Speaker 9: two things sure. Number one, don't the reason to watch
- 55:18Speaker 9: t J. Hooker is I've said two words, Heather.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Those are two very good words.
- 55:28Speaker 4: Yes, I mean she's she was at her prime back then. Okay, yeah, yeah, man,
- 55:40Speaker 4: So you watch her and.
- 55:42Speaker 9: You know there there would be some episodes where she's
- 55:46Speaker 9: in her in like Leo Tarts and in a swim
- 55:51Speaker 9: suit and you watch him and all's right with the world.
- 55:59Speaker 3: Yeah, and second thing is like, yeah, it's the second thing. Also, Yeah,
- 56:08Speaker 3: I pulled.
- 56:08Speaker 9: Up the Star Trek come like the free stuff that
- 56:12Speaker 9: they're showing on on YouTube, and yeah, they're.
- 56:17Speaker 4: They have all.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I put up a picture of Heather Locklayer for everyone.
- 56:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a great reason.
- 56:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 56:27Speaker 9: And so they have like ten like eleven series that
- 56:32Speaker 9: they showed the first episode of and like for t
- 56:36Speaker 9: O S they're showing the Cage.
- 56:39Speaker 4: It's like a little bit of an hour.
- 56:43Speaker 9: And yeah, so in Next Generation they're showing the whole
- 56:48Speaker 9: uh encounter at bar Point and uh Deep Deep Sace
- 56:55Speaker 9: nine and the Enterprise and and Voyager. They're showing the
- 57:00Speaker 9: the double episodes about yeah, the first the first episode basically. Yeah,
- 57:08Speaker 9: so you get lots of content actually, and and the
- 57:14Speaker 9: shortest intro of them is Discovery oddly enough, and it's
- 57:20Speaker 9: only forty two forty two minutes for the Vulcan.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Hello, that's oh yeah, yeah.
- 57:28Speaker 2: Oh okay, you mean they didn't highlight Discovery put it like,
- 57:34Speaker 2: you know, Front and Center.
- 57:38Speaker 4: That's actually listed number two in in like the episodes
- 57:43Speaker 4: that they're playing in.
- 57:45Speaker 1: The I'm surprised they didn't release like some sort of
- 57:48Speaker 1: like behind the scenes of the Section thirty one movie
- 57:50Speaker 1: or something something like to promote that.
- 57:54Speaker 4: That would have been that would have made a lot
- 57:56Speaker 4: of sense.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Huh.
- 57:57Speaker 3: You would think, you know, you would think, you know,
- 58:00Speaker 3: I completely forgot about that movie until just now.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Me too, me too.
- 58:05Speaker 3: So what does what does that say about their marketing? Yes?
- 58:09Speaker 2: Movie? Oh I wonder if they're going to release something
- 58:11Speaker 2: like the Star Trek convention that's coming up this month
- 58:15Speaker 2: in Chicago. Maybe they'll release No, man, they.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Don't really work with the conventions that much. They just
- 58:22Speaker 1: got to drop things here and there.
- 58:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Yeah, there doesn't seem to any rhyme or reason.
- 58:28Speaker 4: Yeah, they have like five short treks in the cube.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's weird that they don't just have them all.
- 58:39Speaker 2: Can you is there a place? Can you watch the
- 58:40Speaker 2: short treks on Paramount Plus? Yeah?
- 58:43Speaker 1: Yeah they're there.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:45Speaker 4: So yeah, that's uh.
- 58:48Speaker 9: I thought I would throw this into the conversation, but
- 58:52Speaker 9: other than that, I got nothing.
- 58:55Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, we appreciate it. Thanks okay, take care, guys,
- 59:02Speaker 3: All right, take care, bud.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Okay, and uh Sudukie Dragon did just have another question
- 59:07Speaker 1: for us? Are you all excited about section thirty one?
- 59:11Speaker 3: I wasn't and then I'm super excited.
- 59:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Remember how I couldn't stop talking about it earlier in
- 59:20Speaker 2: the show thirty one?
- 59:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I'm hoping for good action scenes at
- 59:25Speaker 1: this point and that's about it.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Well, keep in mind, Michelle Yo is going to be
- 59:29Speaker 2: in it, so that's yeah, she'll be reason to hope.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Yeah, can I be honest?
- 59:36Speaker 1: Yeah, no, moving on, I don't I don't.
- 59:40Speaker 3: Not to take a big dump on Michelle Yo, but
- 59:43Speaker 3: I don't know what the big deal is with her.
- 59:47Speaker 1: I think a little over hyped.
- 59:48Speaker 2: Wow, I think we just lost some listeners.
- 59:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Yeah, She's been in a lot of kung fu cinema
- 59:57Speaker 1: way back in the day.
- 59:59Speaker 3: She was great in that.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: But uh, yeah, that I think that's where a lot
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: of the hype comes from. She's really grated action scenes.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: I was gonna ask what you didn't like Empress Georgia Georgio,
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: and then I remember Emperor Georgio was in the series,
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: uh Discovery.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, wow, Jess, I think he's right.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Oh no, oh wow, we got we got some we
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: got some joy this.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Day of days, Star Trek Day, on.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: This blessed day.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: You better, you better start talking to the prophets there, buddy.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: You're not walking with him.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's fine, all right.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Well, I think that's pretty much just wrapping up the show.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: Wait, I did want to say one more thing about Yeah,
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: I am in the middle of reading. For those of
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: you who didn't see this were staring intently at your radios,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: I'm currently reading Star Trek the Next Generation X Men
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: Planet X and it's a continuation of a twenty five
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: years ago. They came out with an original series comic book,
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: a small series run where the X Men teamed up
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: with the original series and it had some success. And
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: then later on they did one a crossover with the
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Next Generation crew, and which confused me because this was
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: the only novel I could find about an X Men
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: crossover with the Next Generation crew. But in the novel,
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: in the beginning, they're talking about them having met before,
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: and so I had to did a little digging. But
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: so far, I'm about a quarter of the way through it.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: It's interesting to you know, there's a little flirting going
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: on between Captain Paccard and Storm. There's a bromance going
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: on between Wharf and Wolverine. It's yeah, it's it's it's
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: kind of cool.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: So, so did you did you read the comics or
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: you just no?
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: I haven't. I haven't gotten my hands on it yet.
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: So I read the comics years ago.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Oh did you? Did you?
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: Yes? And all three of them are actually in the
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: same continuity. So the TG one is called Second Contact,
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: and it takes place takes place right after First Contact,
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: and the idea is when they're leaving the past to
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: go back to the twenty fourth century, they don't go
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: there right away. Something goes wrong and they end up
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: on Earth even earlier. In the X Men timeline timeline
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: when they yes, and when they meet them and and
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: introduce themselves and say, you know Starfleet, they remember the
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: X Men, remember meeting Kirk's crew, so they say something
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: to the effect of, oh are you Kirk's people were okay?
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: Okay, because yeah, I was at first, I was confused
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: because like like Wolverine or somebody, when they when they
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: show up, when they when the X Men actually show
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: up in this universe, it's it's right after their adventure
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: the first time with the next Generation crew. But for
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: the next Generation crew, it's been a.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Year gambit trying to hook up with Troy at all,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: because I could see that happening. Yeah, yeah, they've they've
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: already slept together as they should. No, but there was
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: there was some exposition explaining their previous adventure a little bit.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: So I was, you know, one side, because at first
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: I stopped reading. I'm like, wait a minute, there must
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: be a book before this that I need to get first.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: And then I found out it was a comic book.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I'm like, I'll just read the novel and maybe get
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: the funniest.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: But the funniest scene in the the funniest scene in
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: the TS one was the fact that they were to
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: doctor McCoy's.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Oh that's funny.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah yeah and Bones, yeah, Hank and Bones. Yeah.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: The one thing that's hard for me, though, is when
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: I'm picturing these characters. Yeah, I'm picturing you know, I'm
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: picturing Hugh Jackman, and I'm picturing yeah Halberry and I'm
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: I'm you know, And so I'm picturing their dialogue and
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: their dialect as well. But in the in the book.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: Here Wolverine is speaking in the same dialect he does
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: in the comic books. It's a very Canadian a kind
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: of and it's hard for me. So I'm reading it.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: I'm ignoring the Canadian dialect altogether, and I'm just picturing
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Hugh Jackman.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: And now right and I and I would be picturing, uh,
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: you know, if you know Riker is talking to wol Raine,
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: I'm picturing Jonathan Fraakes talking to the X Men ninety
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: seven cartoons.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: So once I'm done with a novel, so that's kind
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: of cool idea.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Yeah, So once I'm done with a novel, I'll give
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: a full I'll give a full review, and then I'll
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: try to get ahold of comic too.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Geralds to know if we've read the Andrew J. Robinson
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: book on Garrick Stitching Time.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: I would love to, except I have no instanely expensive
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: like because it's so it's like a it became like
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: a pop culture print. It's out of print and it's
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: it's many dozens of dollars.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: He recently released the audio book where he's reading it. Okay,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: so I might get that on my audible account.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: I know it's on that might be worth a couple
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: of shekels.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Yeah, Jaralds has passed me to the batlet a.
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Yeah, well I'm just at a chapter now where they
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: go to the holiday and wharf and Wolverine to do
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: some klingon calisthetics.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: Oh nice, nice, So all right, all right, well very cool.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: So yeah, so that's basically the episode. I have no
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: idea when we'll be back. Listen to the social medias.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Let's tell you what's going on.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Hey, this is fun. I'm down to doing anytime.
