At 1 AM Tuesday, police responded to a domestic stabbing where Ababao, armed with a knife, confronted officers—including veteran Dillon Rizzo—who fired in self-defense. Ababao died at the hospital; his wife, critically injured, escaped and alerted neighbors that another person was still inside. Officers found Ababao after hearing cries for help.
