- 0:04Bitcoin is a revolution, you hear me?
- 0:06It's like electricity. That's what it is.
- 0:09It's going to change the world. None of Your Business, Michael,
- 0:16It's the None of Your Business podcast hosted by Michael
- 0:20Anoshi. Welcome back everybody to
- 1:11another sensational podcast, Oshi.
- 1:15The reason why I use the word sensational is because I can't
- 1:17think of another word to describe my very good friend.
- 1:20RIP Shmili Unger. I said it correctly, right?
- 1:22Yeah. As I grew, I grew up with a
- 1:25Shmuel as a friend, as a Sam, as a as a, you know, Shmili.
- 1:29You're the Shmili. Shmili, Shmilu, everybody just
- 1:32just call me Michael. I like it.
- 1:36The reason why I'm using the word sensational she is because
- 1:39when it comes to music and it comes to life, those two are
- 1:43very synonymous with me. It lives.
- 1:45I live for music and I get ready for Shabbos with music.
- 1:49I start my most of Shabbos with music.
- 1:51I wake up to music, I go to sleep with music and I would say
- 1:54that 51% of it is Jewish and I would say a good 20% of it is
- 2:00the man in the seat right here. And you, you have brought
- 2:04amazing, amazing energy and inspiration to me in my life,
- 2:07People around me. And we could talk about it on
- 2:10the podcast, which we will very soon.
- 2:12But I want to really thank you for coming here.
- 2:14It means a lot to me. You couldn't say no.
- 2:17You have your own podcast. You know what it's like.
- 2:20So, you know, with that being said, how are you?
- 2:23I'm Boris Hashem, Boris Hashem. I'm growing and learning every
- 2:26day. That's how I am.
- 2:27Boris Hashem. My kids just turned 6, was their
- 2:30birthday. What is today, March?
- 2:32March 29th is their birthday. But the year that she wasn't.
- 2:34Cool, that is the 27th. You celebrate both.
- 2:36Though my wife celebrates both, this is one of the arguments.
- 2:39And English. Presents.
- 2:40Yeah, she likes to celebrate, but I told her we she got to
- 2:43pick my presents. You got?
- 2:44To pick one, you can't do both. Right.
- 2:45That's what I say, yeah, Because we're the one earning the money
- 2:48and, you know, funding all. This I personally celebrate my
- 2:51birthday the whole month. From.
- 2:53Beginning of the month to the end of the month.
- 2:55It's a birthday month for me and I'm very into it and my friends
- 2:58all know. So you for real?
- 2:59Yeah, I'm serious. Yeah.
- 3:01Does it go. Based my family, not just me.
- 3:02My hold on does it go? Based on your sign or the month
- 3:05meaning. Hold on, my birthday is
- 3:07November, so from N1 to November 31st it is my birthday every
- 3:12day, yeah. No, I hear it so that like it's
- 3:14it's in you. It's like a more like.
- 3:16You know, there's Black History Month, you know, there's Pride
- 3:19month. Yeah, there's Oshi birthdays.
- 3:20Oshi birthday. I have.
- 3:21I have a birthday as. Well, and your whole family
- 3:23practices for everybody in the family.
- 3:24Very much so. And we recognize each other's
- 3:26birthdays. We call it out, we make a big
- 3:28deal about it. When I grew up, my parents made
- 3:31a big deal about our birthdays and it carried on.
- 3:33And I do it for my kids as well, like I make a big deal about
- 3:35their birthdays. But you choose one.
- 3:37English English birthday I go by English birthday.
- 3:39But you choose the whole month. Yeah, I'm saying.
- 3:41But that day is the cream of the Creme.
- 3:43That day, the cherry on top. Because when we do the the heavy
- 3:47hitting, celebrating. Like, well, the cake in the face
- 3:49is what you practice. No, no, no cake in the face.
- 3:52No, that's my practice. I do that a lot to cake in the
- 3:54face. It's always fun.
- 3:56It's funny that you said that your parents, you know where you
- 3:58grew up and what you did, it shapes you.
- 4:00I happen to know that you and I spoke before and you speak about
- 4:02your mother and her music and her love for music.
- 4:05The second he said parents and that it it clicked to me and I
- 4:07was like, tell us about who you are, where you came from.
- 4:10When did you start singing? When did you be?
- 4:12When did you know that you had the talent?
- 4:13When did the world recognize that you had the talent?
- 4:16One question. And it's a lot.
- 4:17It's a lot. I'm trying questions.
- 4:19That's the world I want to go through.
- 4:20But it's it's came. From where you are today, where
- 4:22you're going starting, of course, is when, when did you go
- 4:25back to the beginning? Yeah, I.
- 4:26Will try don't go painfully through every like month of your
- 4:30life like. Go through.
- 4:32Thank you. By the way, the important we've
- 4:34had. Milestones go through the
- 4:35milestones of. Your life?
- 4:36I guess so. So I would say my singing voices
- 4:40from my mother. She knew how to sing and, and
- 4:43she sang. She grew up in Australia and
- 4:46Chabad. She wasn't Hasidish and she
- 4:49would sing on the radio and she would sing in school.
- 4:52And my father couldn't sing. He liked to sing, but he
- 4:55couldn't sing anyway. So I take it from my mother.
- 4:58And you asked one of your questions is when I knew or how
- 5:00I know It's, it's a good question because as a kid, how
- 5:03do you know if you can sing? I, I, I like to sing.
- 5:06I was always, you know, on the knocking like this and singing
- 5:09about you Schuma, and it wasn't camp and get the voof.
- 5:12We went to camp for the first time. 6th grade for you're going
- 5:15to have to. By the way, I already see where
- 5:16this is. Going, I know.
- 5:17Because I did watch your podcast a little bit.
- 5:19For and the numbers are. Well, if you can.
- 5:21Only do you speak your whole podcast in Yiddish, which is
- 5:23fascinating to me. I, I speak Yiddish, I speak
- 5:26Yiddish. So fascinating.
- 5:27You speak very quickly, even for Yiddish you speak.
- 5:30You think so? You know when you hear another
- 5:31language and you're like, wow, it sounds so fast.
- 5:33Or speaking Israeli. I actually we went Yiddish and
- 5:37you speak very quickly. Interesting.
- 5:39So you're going to throw around a lot of words today.
- 5:41I imagine like so just 6th grade.
- 5:43Yeah, but try, you know, keep it plain and simple for our.
- 5:46I don't think 6th grade is kid to move.
- 5:48What's the number? How old are you in 6th grade?
- 5:51And I'll tell you so, 11 would be kid to Zion.
- 5:55You're like a year off. I guess so.
- 5:57You guys are bar mitzvah your number.
- 5:59Get the test. We get.
- 6:00We get. We get the test.
- 6:01That's not by us. When does when does elementary
- 6:03school end? So what does elementary?
- 6:05School 8 like grades eight years. 13 you start to get after
- 6:09after 13. By 14 you're going to shave a
- 6:11kid. How many?
- 6:12What hit is that? Test after test 9, test you go.
- 6:16They're a year off by 8. We go to 8, we go to 8.
- 6:19So your nine is 8, your 8 is ours.
- 6:20We're. Not going to say who's slower.
- 6:23We'll let the audience decide. I don't think they have
- 6:27kindergarten, I think they go straight to 1st grade.
- 6:29We start the nursery. Something nursery.
- 6:31Kindergarten. There's kindergarten too, I
- 6:33guess. Maybe.
- 6:33They're pre one aids. You don't have both?
- 6:35No, there's no. That they don't have.
- 6:36They're not pre one. Pre 1A1A half, yeah.
- 6:38We have pre 1A and kindergarten. And we had kindergarten, nursery
- 6:42and Kitaalov. We're also learning the ABC's
- 6:45probably earlier. No, I'm saying.
- 6:47My kids don't know the ABC, they know it from from the books, my
- 6:50mother, my my wife. What point would they learn ABC?
- 6:52How does it? Work.
- 6:53I think we started in Kita Dalad, which is.
- 6:55There you go, 4th grade only 4th grade English thing. 4th grade.
- 6:59Was one hour of English. Not cool.
- 7:01That's very late to start thinking.
- 7:03The kids, you know, ABC's, I mean they do live in America.
- 7:06This is the number one language in the world.
- 7:08You know, there's a lot of continue.
- 7:10I totally hyped. Yeah, don't worry about it.
- 7:12Apologize so kid. Took this way, of course.
- 7:14Go ahead. But this is good.
- 7:15This is. This is how we learn.
- 7:16This is how we widen our. Whatever the our knowledge.
- 7:20Yeah, yeah, I my English is not so good as my Yiddish.
- 7:23Your English is fine, but. It's fine.
- 7:24I was fortunate because my mother grew up in Australia but
- 7:27AB CS were starting get the Dalits.
- 7:28But I my mother spoke English at home, that's why my English is
- 7:31better. Saying she played music also.
- 7:33No, she didn't play music. Yeah.
- 7:35What kind of music was she listening to?
- 7:36Things that I would know both Jewish and non Jewish.
- 7:38I guess so, yeah. Yeah, maybe the 5149.
- 7:41Ratio. You play the instruments.
- 7:43No, I don't. So you only sing.
- 7:44OK, I only sing. Yeah, only.
- 7:45Vote. So you're in elementary school?
- 7:46Yeah, Go. Ahead.
- 7:47Yeah, and and the vuve and we were in camp and this one of
- 7:52them alarmed them. There was always singing in
- 7:54camp, but a boy in a Shalom la MI Machen a bite and the kids
- 7:57answer a bite. Velami Machen, you know this
- 7:59one? No, but from the 50%.
- 8:01Hold on, try it on her. She again try.
- 8:03It again, No, I don't know how to No, I don't know that one.
- 8:05Oh, I heard. You heard the song.
- 8:06I've heard the song. It's a whole conversation about.
- 8:08I've wrote it. It's a conversation between man
- 8:10and God that I want to give God all my caputas.
- 8:13Avoid. Not my hatum avoidance.
- 8:16And yeah. And you give me forgiveness.
- 8:18Forgiveness. Yeah.
- 8:23So this is kind of song and there's a song voice Valley
- 8:27Medicine of them sitting you. So there's all kinds of songs
- 8:32that there's a child standing up and the kids sing.
- 8:34It's like it does. And he chose me.
- 8:36This Muhammad, he was a sing. He knows how to sing.
- 8:40His father is a composer. And I guess he, he know I can
- 8:44sing. And he put me up there.
- 8:45And then after camp finished, it was the end of the summer.
- 8:48There was the Yuma Marum came up and there's the, there's the
- 8:51choir and we have a kids choir, an adult choir.
- 8:54So who goes gets to go to the kids choir?
- 8:55So there is an audition and there's a rabbi sitting there
- 8:58and people come in, the kids come in, they sing, they sing a
- 9:01song. And there's Rabbi Mandel has
- 9:02told me, go, go. I wasn't gonna audition because
- 9:05my father didn't have another big shoe.
- 9:08He had a small shoe. My, my father just chilled his
- 9:10way. So I, I wasn't gonna audition.
- 9:14And he told me go, go, audition. I said, all right, I don't know
- 9:17if I'm going to make it on, if my father's going to let me go,
- 9:20but sure. And I stand and I come into the
- 9:22room and he says, sing a song. I remember I sang go a day, I'll
- 9:25shine, you know, this Glenna song.
- 9:28And that's what I did. He might make his notes.
- 9:30And I like one, one of the kids. I don't think there was
- 9:33anything, but I got into the room and then more things came
- 9:37like there was ACM, all the kids I sang over there.
- 9:40The Urshalayama roof came to Monroe, so I was one of the
- 9:43solos. And then my sister got married.
- 9:46She became engaged. She was 18, I was 17.
- 9:49My grandfather tells me I want you to sing at the house.
- 9:53And I was a Booker in yeshiva. And he was, he was proud of me.
- 9:58And he told me I'm gonna sing. I told him I don't know if I'm
- 10:00comfortable doing the whole wedding by myself.
- 10:02I. Think at that point you're never
- 10:03saying in front of a big crowd. I have I but not professionally
- 10:06I did but the see him when we did the see him was like maybe
- 10:08500 people that the fathers and the grandfathers was a whole big
- 10:11thing. Get the test finishing 100 blot.
- 10:14It was a big CM and we had a so that was wow by the way, but.
- 10:17That we didn't do. 100 Blot and get the test.
- 10:22But I don't know if. We still did it, yet we still do
- 10:25it. But that's very.
- 10:27Cool, it's never too late to start to so.
- 10:28At the wedding you're giving now they're giving you the.
- 10:31Upper. No, but.
- 10:31But yeah, he wants me. But I told my grandfather I'm
- 10:33not going to take the whole wedding.
- 10:34This is way too big. But what I will do, I will sing
- 10:37a few songs. I will start, you know, feeling
- 10:39it out. So they hired the singer.
- 10:41His name was Shmilber Veber and he was doing, you know.
- 10:45Is he related to? The Betty Webber.
- 10:46Barry Webber. Daddy.
- 10:47Yeah, it was 2008. Beta, beta baby.
- 10:51OK, we know him as Barry well, he also says.
- 10:53Yeah, but it. Should be better anyway.
- 10:57So he was the official singer and you'll see idols was the
- 10:59music. And my grandfather said, you're
- 11:00going to sing a few songs in society.
- 11:02I need a mic, I need my own stuff.
- 11:04He says, you all right? How much is it going to cost?
- 11:06And he bought me a mic and I said society.
- 11:08But you know, if I'm going to do this, we need to go to voice
- 11:10lessons. No problem.
- 11:12I'm going to do voice lessons. I must say he believed in me.
- 11:15He said we'll do it. We'll do like this.
- 11:17I will pay for everything you need.
- 11:19We will pay for the voice lessons.
- 11:21Eventually. I needed a cordless mic because
- 11:23that was the cool thing. I didn't use it for five
- 11:25weddings and I I went back to the wire because it's just more
- 11:27powerful. It's better also with a cordless
- 11:30mic. With a wireless mic, they would
- 11:32call me into the crowd to dance with the Houston, and that's a
- 11:34lot of. Work a lot of pressure.
- 11:35If I have I have a wire. You got to stay in your spot.
- 11:39Don't. Call me, you'll have a wire till
- 11:40you're 100. Yeah, so, so, so it's very
- 11:43strategic, Very strategic. So he got me the wireless and
- 11:47then he got me with a wire. And then we printed business
- 11:49cards and I showed him the prototype and he says, but it
- 11:52only has your phone number. What if you're sleepy?
- 11:55You can't answer the phone. You put my #2 I will be the
- 11:58secondary. You put 2 numbers down.
- 12:00And he paid for everything. And he tells me all the income
- 12:03is 5050. We know the type by the way.
- 12:06Yeah, my grandfather. It was a great guy.
- 12:08It was a great. Guy so giving, but you gotta do
- 12:11it with me. That's right.
- 12:12Yeah, our friends, but we spoke before does that.
- 12:15He asked me if somebody Schneider comes and asked me how
- 12:18much should I give? And I say this guy give him
- 12:20$2000 and he says I'll give thousand and you give thousands.
- 12:23Exactly, exactly. You know, by the way, I've heard
- 12:26this story before. Where?
- 12:27Where did I hear? Have you said this story before?
- 12:29I don't know, it's my story. I always tell the.
- 12:31Truth. Yeah.
- 12:32This is his life. Story.
- 12:33I don't know, weird, but I feel like I've heard this from you.
- 12:35Maybe you said it somewhere. This story OK.
- 12:37Maybe I'm Yankov Langer. You were on a podcast a year ago
- 12:41or something? More than a year ago, before I
- 12:42started a podcast, Yes. Yeah.
- 12:44I must have heard it on a podcast.
- 12:46Maybe there? So go ahead, go ahead, continue.
- 12:48Not the way this is being. Told No, this is It's all
- 12:51different. Everybody has their own vibe and
- 12:52their own energy. Your grandfather said 50. 50
- 12:56come forever. Yes, we didn't decide.
- 12:59This is about how we're starting.
- 13:00He wants to see the contract already.
- 13:02And there was no contract. My grandfather was the sweetest
- 13:04guy. So I'm I'm a Bukharina Shiva.
- 13:09I'm not driving. Who's gonna I will drive you, he
- 13:11says. I will drive you to jobs.
- 13:12Yes. He's very supportive.
- 13:13This guy, yes, he was lucky you. I was lucky, OK.
- 13:17And so that's how I started the friend.
- 13:18Also, I did my sister's wedding. I did it 2 songs by the by the
- 13:22meal. So if you followed closely,
- 13:23which 2 songs did I sing? Let me hear.
- 13:25Was she? You don't remember.
- 13:27Put me on the spot like. That I did from Schlemmer
- 13:30Gitner, was she? You don't know it, you learn.
- 13:34It's a nice song. And then I did Omar Omar Rakodoj
- 13:36Baraku from Ofremo. I like that song.
- 13:38But these two songs I did and I later by the Hassana like but by
- 13:41the finished I did some Yerushalayim song and I started
- 13:45going to voice lessons and I loved it.
- 13:47He gave me 100 bucks and I would go, the lesson was 70.
- 13:51The bus to take me there was like $5 and I went to buy myself
- 13:54something from Monsieur BBQ for like $20.
- 13:56It worked out every week Wednesday I would go.
- 13:59I was beautiful and until a friend of Vishy and Vishyva
- 14:04comes to me, it was a vision. It's a book.
- 14:05And by the vision it's a guys. They don't have much singers.
- 14:07They have music and they're not into it.
- 14:09And he's before getting married, he says we'll do it.
- 14:11I'll tell you. My father says that if you want
- 14:14to come sing, he doesn't want to pay, he doesn't have the money.
- 14:16But if you want, you can come sing.
- 14:18Get my house and all right, sure, I will come.
- 14:22I told my grandfather you got. Your first gig.
- 14:24Yes, Mom is my first gig and and I'm I'm home.
- 14:28I'm taking a shower and my grandfather's calling me.
- 14:30He's waiting for me outside. Where are you because I was
- 14:33running late and I came into the car and my the first thing my
- 14:35grandfather said, he says if you're going to be in this
- 14:37business you should remember that being on time is very
- 14:40important you. Can't start the wedding without
- 14:42the singer. That's.
- 14:43True. You got to make sure you're
- 14:44responsible. Yes, yes, On the Mystic
- 14:46condition you also can't start. And the Mystic conditions don't
- 14:50have so much responsibilities as the singers.
- 14:52I mean, I see that as customers, I always be on time and they're
- 14:56always running an hour late because the this and this and
- 14:58you can't, right? The and the.
- 14:59Rabbis, the people, whatever. So I'm the singer, they can have
- 15:02time as, but the rabbis the. Well, they're not paying the
- 15:05rabbis. All they're paying the rabbis.
- 15:08Really. Of course they're paying the
- 15:09rabbi. I don't know about that of.
- 15:11Course. I agree, You had Mazel say.
- 15:13I don't know which mazes, but any rabbish name.
- 15:15You have any title bomber, Rabanovic, and they will tell
- 15:19you that rebels get paid when they make hassle.
- 15:21They have a cent. Fee or people just give a
- 15:22donation. People give however they much
- 15:24they can but the rebels if they would have two weddings, 2 of
- 15:27their constituents making hassle and he can only go.
- 15:30To go to the one that pays them. So fake, OK, And it's not for
- 15:33them. There's nothing wrong with that.
- 15:34But no, it's nothing wrong with them.
- 15:36I'm I'm not saying. That the rocket.
- 15:37Rebels have to make a living, yeah. 100% but Thomas you can
- 15:41have on a singer because it's a Gashmi thing, but they're ever
- 15:43doing avoid the Saccoiders. But many times I'm always on
- 15:46time. I have to leave my children.
- 15:48I can't be with them. I gotta run because the Hoopa
- 15:507:00 and the Hoopa doesn't start until 8:15.
- 15:53So I'm just sitting there. So I'm just thinking about it
- 15:55anyway, so they they all get paid and they should get paid.
- 15:58So he tells me you got to be on time.
- 16:00So we go to the house and the house and is an atheist Chadna
- 16:03and we're going down the road and I'm not really sure what
- 16:06there's China is we got to make a left on the 45 where we got to
- 16:09make a left on Viola. You know I'm coming down.
- 16:12Where are you living at the time?
- 16:13I live in Monroe. Oh, so you're not familiar with
- 16:15Monsoon? Not really.
- 16:16OK, yeah. So I'm coming down from from
- 16:19Airmont. What's that main road?
- 16:20Maybe not. 59 No. Not 59.
- 16:23Close New Hampstead. Road.
- 16:24No, no, no, not New Hampstead. I crossed over to Crossover.
- 16:27Viola. What's that one?
- 16:29Maybe College Rd. Maybe College Rd.
- 16:31Maybe College. Yeah, I'm going down college and
- 16:33I know I gotta go straight down and make a left either on the 45
- 16:37which is the right one and I made a mistake.
- 16:39I went, I told my grandfather make a leftover here.
- 16:42So we were a little bit off until we found Sean.
- 16:45I thought that was also took time.
- 16:46You don't have like Waze or something?
- 16:48I didn't have no, we didn't have any smartphone.
- 16:50I was a book that I had no how many.
- 16:52Years ago was this. This wasn't 2000, and what's a
- 16:56good question 2000? And how many years ago
- 16:58approximately? That's a good question.
- 17:00You were 17 at the time. 15 years ago, I was.
- 17:02I was. I was 18.
- 17:03You were 18. OK, Yeah, back that was MapQuest
- 17:06days. Exactly.
- 17:07That's what you picked out, a MapQuest paper that kids that
- 17:10have no idea what that means. Yeah, but we had to actually put
- 17:13in work to get from point A to point.
- 17:15Or you. You're we have to plan it out.
- 17:17We have to map it out in advance.
- 17:19And you had to always have the risk of you were gonna get lost.
- 17:22Yeah, they got prepared for that.
- 17:23And you have to get out of your car, go to ask someone for like
- 17:26the locals to see if they could guide you.
- 17:28And a lot of times they gave you the wrong direction and you got
- 17:30even more lost. And that was an adventure.
- 17:32Or you could be a real man like Shmili is right now in his car
- 17:34and he he knows how to get. He doesn't need a.
- 17:37And make a mistake, but that's go ahead.
- 17:39Our kids will never know. They will never know.
- 17:42So it was 2010. It was no, no, no way.
- 17:44So. You're panicking because this is
- 17:46your first. Game little panicking.
- 17:47Yeah, yes, definitely. I'm getting to the hall and why
- 17:50do you know I had prepared a a paper with all the songs that
- 17:54you know the start or you show me what do you do next?
- 17:57So and I I I forgot my paper at home.
- 17:59Oh no, I'm a little tough and so I'm going and I'm setting up my
- 18:03microphone. Mandy Steckel.
- 18:05You know Mandy Steckel, he's a one man band.
- 18:06He's the musician there. He was very nice.
- 18:09He just took it easy. It was like a Takuna Castle, so
- 18:12he didn't take it too serious. He didn't need to know the
- 18:14latest stuff. He's just playing.
- 18:16Aww Watch Smudu. Don't go.
- 18:17Very nice. Yeah, go and put a number one.
- 18:20Do whatever you do I. Was thinking that I'm hearing it
- 18:22now for the first time. You went to a Takano wedding to
- 18:25be at your first gig. It made sense.
- 18:26Come sing, come try. Right now it's making sense.
- 18:29Yeah, the guy told him at the beginning he wasn't going to
- 18:31pay. Yeah.
- 18:31I get it, there's. Almost like a charity that you
- 18:33were doing right. You used it as an opportunity to
- 18:36feel it. Out for sure yeah of course you
- 18:39want to put put in the mileage to start and and my friends were
- 18:43there right because this is a friend's wedding so the all the
- 18:45friends from yeshiva gonna sing they only use.
- 18:48This. You must have been very nervous.
- 18:50I was, but I had to think. I was excited.
- 18:52Excited is a better word. Yeah.
- 18:53Ovga heighted right. And the and that even now before
- 18:57a concert, I have that, but as soon as I start singing, that
- 19:01goes away. But it's like the build of the
- 19:03excitement. Right.
- 19:04Once you start with the first few minutes, yeah, naturally,
- 19:07yeah, your body takes over and you just do your thing.
- 19:10Yes, I lose myself in it and I'm just enjoying it.
- 19:12So my friends are there, they're all looking, they're excited,
- 19:14and I don't have my list. And I start singing and it's
- 19:16another lesson. So this is a vision, it's a
- 19:18house. And now the corners, you know,
- 19:20simple people. And I start singing.
- 19:22I did Loyolajo Ham Loholi from MBD.
- 19:27You don't know any song. By the way, I know MBD well.
- 19:31I know the song I just like I'm. You're just right, it's not
- 19:34important. Yeah, I'm not a musical person.
- 19:36Like I'm not very into Michael is a surprise.
- 19:39Michael, you're like, you're like.
- 19:41One for seven so far. I'm keeping track of having his
- 19:43songs. You know, if I'm not impressed,
- 19:46if I were to stop him to every song that I liked, that I want
- 19:48him to sing, we'd be here all day, OK, I know the songs.
- 19:50But you're into music even more than me.
- 19:53Like you listen to music all that.
- 19:54I don't listen to music. He's very.
- 19:55It's work, I will vouch for that.
- 19:57My wife also there's people who I.
- 19:58Work on playlists. I have people part of that.
- 20:02So you're into it, So it's your thing.
- 20:03Very nice. Anyway, so I finished that set
- 20:06and I had a market chief come over to me.
- 20:08Another lesson that I always remember.
- 20:10Then he says should do that. And I wanna say how he said it,
- 20:14but he says one of the important things when you're gonna start
- 20:16singing is not just how to sing, but what to sing.
- 20:21He says, look at the audience over here.
- 20:23They don't know the song. They don't care for it.
- 20:25And some of them are even like, feeling bitter, like, who's this
- 20:28guy singing? Know your audience.
- 20:30Exactly. Know your surroundings, be aware
- 20:34what's happening. So I learned that anyway, the
- 20:36Hassana comes around and the Hassan comes in and we start
- 20:38audience. Shuma and I had a friend, Vine
- 20:42begin. Vine begin.
- 20:42He quickly wrote down 1520s songs here by Sochiato Melek
- 20:47Malcolm Lochem Lavini Malkini here just in case have it.
- 20:50It was very nice of him and I did the whole wedding and and
- 20:53Mara Shiva was there at ham Libish Schlotenberg and he has
- 20:56his own avoided when some Goya songs come start singing he he
- 21:00comes to the singer and he says stop singing this song.
- 21:03It makes like a Simcha, Swiss and Callum.
- 21:05Libish Rotenberg. Ham Libish was your I was in
- 21:08easy, but this is his yeshiva forshe wrote forshe this is the.
- 21:11Issue, you know, that's where I grew up.
- 21:12I grew up in Forshe, I went to his stroll for many, many many.
- 21:15So maybe you remember I had a close relationship with him for
- 21:18a long time. OK.
- 21:19And like you just triggered something for me, like
- 21:22especially that you just said that he has a thing against
- 21:24he's. So I know exactly what you mean.
- 21:26I know how it's against. He has an avoid though, yeah.
- 21:28His whole demeanor changes and he starts, he has a, he's a very
- 21:31charismatic. Person.
- 21:32I love him. I have a lot of accordance.
- 21:33Tremendous character. This guy, personality wise, he
- 21:35gets a 10 out of 10. This guy, he's amazing, He
- 21:38really is. And he knows how to put up a
- 21:40show. He knows how to cater to the
- 21:43audience and when like things don't go in a way that he
- 21:46doesn't like, doesn't appreciate, he makes a scene
- 21:49about it. But a very classy.
- 21:50Yeah, he mixes it up. Classy way he gets his message
- 21:53across. Yes, he does.
- 21:55Yeah, yeah. So the record I've been to the
- 21:57Apple throwing have you on. I highly recommend every person.
- 22:01He's got an he's that guy. Yeah, he's got an arm.
- 22:04Yeah. And he goes like this.
- 22:05That's how we think about it. He gets that he he puts a
- 22:08velocity. He has some serious court behind
- 22:10his throws. It's amazing.
- 22:12He has energy, he dances, He puts a real avoider into it.
- 22:15Yeah, yeah. So he's coming.
- 22:16The Rev is coming. The hushness from this yeshiva
- 22:19and I'm also like making sure that I know his songs, what he
- 22:22likes and and I guess I did one thing that he didn't manage like
- 22:25and it wasn't massive just anyway.
- 22:28And I started after that house and I remember I started running
- 22:30after Mandy Shteckel. Give me the recording.
- 22:32I need the recording. I want to listen to the
- 22:34recording even probably more than the Houston.
- 22:36You want to hear how it sounds, how you say?
- 22:38It yeah, how how it came out. I want that validation.
- 22:41I wanted to that I suck or is I awesome?
- 22:43Yeah, exactly. Because I really didn't know
- 22:46you, you, you would think, now I finished the wedding, I know it
- 22:48was a 10, it was 100. I know already.
- 22:50The audience wouldn't know because they don't see me every
- 22:53night, but I would know to compare it.
- 22:55It was a great night. It was a fantastic night.
- 22:57So. But at that time, I didn't even
- 22:59know. I didn't know nothing.
- 23:02I just wanted to hear the recording and he came to the
- 23:04yeshiva and 33 for she dropped me off the CD and I ran I put it
- 23:08into my CD player and I start listening to it and and either
- 23:12should I say so much about it's give on following.
- 23:16I just. How do we say that in in
- 23:17English? How would you say so you.
- 23:18I don't know. The roof came down.
- 23:21It's like, oh, there's a real way.
- 23:23Devastation, you're saying? Yeah.
- 23:24Devastation. Yeah, I was devastated.
- 23:26I'm not going to say the real expression.
- 23:28You know I can, and translation is it became black for my eye,
- 23:32Right, right, right. Everything turned dark and I'm
- 23:35listening and I don't even know what the problem is.
- 23:38But what I do know is this is no good.
- 23:41And and and and I listen. I listen, I say, oh, it's good.
- 23:44Oh, it's something what happens? What happens?
- 23:46Anyway, the problem was pitch. Pitch is not off tune
- 23:50completely. Let me try to make like if I
- 23:53think, oh, it did show my view. What are you here you doing?
- 23:58I'm just changing keys. So this is like off tune, I
- 24:02would say. But if you think, oh, you're in
- 24:11tune, but your pitch either a little bit sharp or a little bit
- 24:14flat, and the music, yeah, it's not consistent.
- 24:18It's not solid. And the music is so loud in
- 24:22these by the weddings that you can barely hear yourself.
- 24:25I didn't have a inner monitor then.
- 24:27I maybe had a monitor on the floor and I couldn't hear
- 24:31myself. And I was just, it's what's
- 24:32called pitchy, not being in perfect pitch.
- 24:36And nobody can teach you perfect pitch.
- 24:38I, I'm both of Hashem way better in pitch now, unless the music
- 24:42is very loud, then I can lose it.
- 24:44But by the meal and by the hope I will always be in perfect
- 24:46pitch. Because you just, you hear
- 24:47yourself. If you're a good singer, you can
- 24:49sing, but if you can't hear, you can't do anything.
- 24:52But what I did learn is experience, you know, like train
- 24:55my ear what to hear. That's it.
- 24:58And, and being on the weddings and, and doing it night after
- 25:01night after night, I, I figured out my balance and my placement
- 25:04can. You do it again, then do the
- 25:06audition right now in a good. Pitch off and good pitch.
- 25:07Yeah, sure. Like sing for me.
- 25:10Yeah, yeah, yeah. Perform for me.
- 25:11Yeah, you know. Yeah.
- 25:15Like. Like.
- 25:17It's a puppet. You got a bill in the mail?
- 25:22Yeah. Stink, damn it, this would be
- 25:24good. Off pitch would be Kyoto.
- 25:27He may like Malhi Ham Lo he Did you hear the difference?
- 25:34Yes, it's 90% of us sound like that by the way, yes, so don't
- 25:38don't talk down to us. We're we're also we bring we
- 25:41bring other values in life. OK, we're not all of us just
- 25:44because we Can't Sing our rendered worth 100.
- 25:46Percent 100% yeah, 100. Percent.
- 25:47But by the way, I always admired people that can sing.
- 25:49I really do. I think it's a really beautiful
- 25:51gift. It's a beautiful.
- 25:54He would give up all his Toyota to be able to sing.
- 25:56Did he say that? I think so.
- 25:58That's what I do my research. It's a good line.
- 26:02I think Lipa has one of the songs, some sorry for song that
- 26:05he said he would he would like trade a big part of his Olam
- 26:08Haba or whatever. The point is, yeah, singing is.
- 26:11Definitely one of my favorite things to watch.
- 26:13I I watched like any spare time that I have.
- 26:15If I'm just browsing, like if I'm just like searching stuff, I
- 26:18watch voice singing competitions.
- 26:20Oh yeah, I love singing competitions.
- 26:22And I'll say this, I think the best one that is by far superior
- 26:27to anything else for many, many years already is a show called
- 26:31The Voice, The Voice. Obviously you're going to say.
- 26:33Because you have on The Voice really like somewhat
- 26:35professional singers, like there are other wedding caliber
- 26:37singers and they're competing against each other.
- 26:40So they're already starting that at A at a good place.
- 26:42And the, it's just, it's on another level.
- 26:45And especially the battles, they have something where they pin
- 26:48two against each other and Iran and they they don't do it in a
- 26:51battle way that they're out doing each other.
- 26:52They actually try to get them to blend in and to synchronize and
- 26:55sync together. And it's it's it's breathtaking.
- 26:57Yeah. Oh, should you watch?
- 26:58Like, it's unbelievable. Like from like other countries?
- 27:01Yes, of course, of course. I watch them all, all kinds of,
- 27:04you know, the. Beauty, you know, so popular
- 27:06that a lot of the. Beauty is that for those that
- 27:08don't know, you don't see the. Person, that's what I was going
- 27:10to say this. Is only the first round that's.
- 27:12Only that's the thing you saw, right?
- 27:13Yeah. Yeah, Because we all don't.
- 27:15Want to judge you by? Of course, we always judge by a
- 27:17bit. We can't help ourselves.
- 27:19Right. We just can't.
- 27:20Yeah, A lot of times we see the singer and like, when the judge
- 27:22turns around, we see their reaction.
- 27:24You already know he's not. He's.
- 27:26They're going to be surprised when they see.
- 27:27So much there. Yeah, no, it's a great.
- 27:29So singing is a universal language.
- 27:32It's something that every human being can relate to, no matter
- 27:34your background, no matter where you come from.
- 27:37And if you could sing or be even musical, even not singing,
- 27:39playing an instrument, playing a musical, It's it's it's really
- 27:43what percentage of the world do you have people do you think
- 27:46play an instrument? Is it 10%?
- 27:49Steph, I'd love to know what is the percentage of people in the
- 27:54world that can play a music? Of 8 billion people, I would say
- 27:57I would, I don't know, maybe 500,000,500 million.
- 28:00Very small percentage. It's a small Is it 10% less?
- 28:03Is it 500,000,000% crazy? I would say 10%.
- 28:05We'll see what happened. Yeah, 8%.
- 28:07How many weddings have you sang to date so far?
- 28:10You know, I would say, did you? Lose count already or is it?
- 28:12I never counted, but I remember in my room I had a list of all
- 28:17the wedding halls and I would cross them out.
- 28:19I sort of called paradise. I did.
- 28:21It's like the ballpark, you know, people that ballpark.
- 28:24I went to this game, I saw this thing.
- 28:26That's it. You're doing that for wedding
- 28:27holes. And my sister said no, You're
- 28:28gonna bring in a big map of the world and you're gonna start
- 28:31scratching off Israel, Manchester, Britain, Toronto.
- 28:35Smart lady. Yeah, she is.
- 28:37So what's next, 10 to 20%? Ten.
- 28:39People worldwide and about have played an instrument 30 to. 40%
- 28:43of the United States. Yeah, that's pretty crazy.
- 28:45That's that's a bigger number than we thought.
- 28:46Yeah, number. Than we thought.
- 28:47More than we thought. Yeah, yeah.
- 28:49Interesting. But even though I did maybe
- 28:50between 500 and 1500 weddings, that's a big gap.
- 28:54You mean? Yeah, between 500 and 1500.
- 28:57Very big gap also, but even if it's 500 alone, it's a big
- 29:00number. What was like the nicest,
- 29:02biggest wedding like you did like?
- 29:04So people ask me that when what's the biggest wedding?
- 29:06So what do you consider big? A big paycheck?
- 29:07A big band? Big.
- 29:08Song list Who paid you the most? How much did you?
- 29:10Make so the big the most I make is when I travel if it's out of
- 29:13town that's I make a lot of money you.
- 29:15Got a couple of your travel expenses?
- 29:16Travel and also there's rehearsals, so the rehearsals.
- 29:18So I would always come out with a bigger paycheck when I have to
- 29:21travel and if it's a nicer more than a wedding it would be a
- 29:23concert or something like that. What is the rate these days for
- 29:27Jewish wedding singers? It's all kinds.
- 29:29When I started out, I did for free.
- 29:31After that wedding, the Mahitan came over and gave me $200.00
- 29:35and then the other Mahitan came over and gave me $50.
- 29:37You talk about this the first. One First Division is a Hassan.
- 29:39Yeah, a little bit. On the way home.
- 29:41On the way home, my grandfather gave him 125.
- 29:43He's your partner? Yeah.
- 29:44I have to finish it off. I gave him 125.
- 29:46I told him his idea. I got a tip.
- 29:47It's one 25120 for me. He says, well, do it.
- 29:50My money you put away, you keep everything, but you make my
- 29:53envelope. Keep a husband.
- 29:54Exactly. And then when I got married, the
- 29:56money, it was like $6000. Wow.
- 29:58He's caught. And he told me I should go buy
- 30:00myself a strama. And my my father wasn't alive.
- 30:03I I didn't know if I tell you my father back away when I was 19.
- 30:05Yeah, it would have made more. Sense I already hear that.
- 30:07Yeah, yeah, we were over it. But you know, every day I miss
- 30:10him, I should say, the more time that goes.
- 30:12On you made a song about him. I want to.
- 30:14I've tried like a few times. I have a song from H Weinbiger.
- 30:17I always wanted to do it for the Utah.
- 30:19This is going to be the 20th Utah.
- 30:21So I'm thinking maybe this year is more monumental.
- 30:23So I'll, I'll release it, I would think.
- 30:26So when is the arts? Yeah, that's a great way to.
- 30:27Design Eid, Zach Eid. And how long is that?
- 30:30Two months it's a sphera so you you have to like bond it.
- 30:32Off and in the next I. Could.
- 30:33If I really would want to, I could, but it's not so much a
- 30:37priority. It would be more ceremonial.
- 30:40It wouldn't be so much for business.
- 30:41I'm working on on like a backstage on stage project.
- 30:44I'm working on other stuff. So I would have to push it in.
- 30:48I released a nice video. I was going to get Zaltz Band.
- 30:51Very cool stuff. Yeah, he's good.
- 30:53Schlemmy's Altz Money has a good sound, very good sound.
- 30:56So I gave my grandfather. He says keep it.
- 30:59And then I bought myself a Stramo.
- 31:00So what was it gonna? $1000 Shrimal.
- 31:03I'm just. Yeah.
- 31:05That's how much shrimals cost. Very expensive.
- 31:07Money. Like a wig?
- 31:08Yes, more than a. Wig more they can pay 8 they can
- 31:10pay up to $15,000 which I can go also.
- 31:12Crazier, by the way, but yeah. But that's no but.
- 31:14The average Shrimal is like three, $4000 just yeah, like
- 31:17what's it? Yeah.
- 31:18I'm sorry, I really don't know what.
- 31:20What kind of fur? Yeah, I don't know.
- 31:22From you guys know OK I don't know for six grand I'm.
- 31:25Curious, you know, like if I'm buying Bitcoin, I want to know
- 31:28what I'm getting. Yeah, we have a Reagan Strammel
- 31:33always. This is going on forever, but
- 31:35the Reagan Strammel can cost 2500.
- 31:36It's not so expensive, but for $6000 two Strammel, if it's not
- 31:39over, it's like a decent amount. I don't think I bought the
- 31:42Strammel. I think I had a guy.
- 31:43Who sang at your wedding? His name is Sally Gold.
- 31:47Great question. Is he still?
- 31:48Is he still around this guy? Yeah, he's a Hasidicia singer.
- 31:51How did he make it to your wedding?
- 31:53That's it. Because it came to my wedding, I
- 31:54had a problem. Who am I going to take?
- 31:57I was, I was like, I don't know how how prominent I was, but
- 32:00everybody knew which Milly anger is.
- 32:02The locals knew who you were. Yeah, the business knew, the
- 32:04locals knew and and whoever I was going to take, I was going
- 32:07to be hurting somebody. So Sally Gold was a very good
- 32:10option for me because he was a veteran and he was good at it.
- 32:14He was a good friend of mine. He just fit and I booked him and
- 32:17I had a lot of singers come over.
- 32:19I had a lot of say, Adala Summer that you only see.
- 32:21I have to remember Benny Friedman, but he was the
- 32:24official guy. I know he is going to start ID
- 32:26Shuma and when he's going to even Every wedding needs to have
- 32:30one guy that is carrying the wedding and has a
- 32:32responsibility. He's the primary singer.
- 32:34Yes, I I can't tell a guy. Yeah, I have 5 singers there and
- 32:38nobody's taking charge. Everybody's waiting for the
- 32:39other to do it. Exactly.
- 32:41So you have to have one guy anyway, So I want to go back.
- 32:43So you're asking about prices. So by that wedding, I went for
- 32:45free. I got 250.
- 32:46And then I started going for for the corner house.
- 32:50They paid me $300 and I would make my money back overtime.
- 32:53After 11:00 it would be another $100.00.
- 32:55So that's where I would feel I made my money.
- 32:57I said because all the weddings would go past 11, so it would be
- 33:00$400.00. And then the different Takuna
- 33:02host was 450 depending. And my grandfather, he was a
- 33:07partner and he told me Shmurduvid nimbus Mcgither.
- 33:10His philosophy was don't sit at home, take jobs, take jobs.
- 33:14You get an offer for $200. Go go, sing, don't.
- 33:16Worry about how much money you just first get users, get
- 33:19followers. Yeah.
- 33:20Start building your brand. Yeah.
- 33:21Smart guy, your grandfather. Yeah, Yeah.
- 33:23You like it? Yeah, but at this.
- 33:25Is he still alive? No, he passed away a few years
- 33:27ago. But he got to see you in your
- 33:30prime, right? He got to really enjoy the
- 33:32successes that you were enjoying.
- 33:34He got to see a bit. He must have felt very proud.
- 33:37He must have been super practice.
- 33:38He was a part of your journey from the beginning.
- 33:39And he believed in me and all the other cousins to someone and
- 33:42what? 1 was a chef, one was a drummer,
- 33:44and nobody felt like Zaja didn't give me any startup money.
- 33:47Why? Why was he better?
- 33:48So yeah, he definitely gave me so.
- 33:50He created some politics also. Good old, you know.
- 33:52Talk to Zaid. You talk to Zaid.
- 33:54Well, I didn't do anything. Probably also picked up on your
- 33:56talent. Yes, ultimately.
- 33:57And yeah, this is a big part. He wanted to be, he saw the
- 34:00talent. And also my father wasn't alive.
- 34:02My father was his oldest. And it was a kind of a way, you
- 34:05know, he took me in and he he he raised me kind of interesting.
- 34:09But at the point when he said Nembus Mcgitte, like whatever
- 34:12take it was already maybe a year or two, then I, I, I, I, I felt
- 34:16I put in a lot of work in these Takuna houses.
- 34:19And I said I felt, I told him Zaidi 450, this is the bottom.
- 34:23I can't do a wedding. I can't do I'm not going out of
- 34:25my house less than 450. And and that's what I said no,
- 34:29but you said you love my Zaidi. But I think that my way you by
- 34:33the way is the better way. He's the better standard.
- 34:35Yes, yes, it happens to everyone, but it happens to
- 34:38everyone. So and so we had.
- 34:39By the way, the old adage, if you're good at something, never
- 34:43do it for free, right? Never do it for free.
- 34:46That it's it's you're right. This is your talent.
- 34:48Don't just give it away. You have a minimum.
- 34:51You want me to get out of bed? You.
- 34:52Want me to work? For you, this is what I charged
- 34:55I'm. Curious, was was it at that
- 34:56point that you knew it's going to be a career or?
- 34:59Oh, I want to say HELL no, but a big no Wow.
- 35:03Not yellow. Continue.
- 35:04I I did like 4 years where I was just the spine blit.
- 35:09I was spitting blocks. You were.
- 35:11You were sweating it out. Really.
- 35:12Really, I did. I didn't have these fancy bands
- 35:14I had. I had the the, the the the
- 35:16cheapest musicians. All of them are great.
- 35:19Good people. How are you getting income
- 35:21besides this? Then you I didn't need income.
- 35:22I was a Bucher. I was a book and I didn't do it
- 35:25for the income. I did it for the fun.
- 35:26I I love to do it and I just, I started talking.
- 35:29He was. Going to get it at that age of
- 35:31course makes. Sense.
- 35:32Yeah. So I I had no idea.
- 35:33That it instead of washing cars for $100, he's singing again.
- 35:37Exactly so 450 gig. Other than that, yeah.
- 35:39So I started 450, then it got to 455750 and then it got to 11.
- 35:45And then when I went from 11 to 14, that's when a big change
- 35:48happened. I had my, my, my then producer,
- 35:51my musical producer, Nafalishness, that he came into
- 35:53my life and, and he told me to up the price.
- 35:57And he's, he, he, he was a big producer.
- 35:59So just being in his avid, in his space atmosphere, yeah, gave
- 36:04me courage, gave me confidence, just just made me feel good.
- 36:08And he started telling me Shmelly.
- 36:10Oh, that's when I changed my name.
- 36:11I was named Shmell Dovit and I, I wasn't then it was maybe a
- 36:15little bit earlier that I made it.
- 36:16Oh, when I made the business cards, maybe I, I wrote
- 36:18Schmilly. I wrote Schmilly, but I felt
- 36:21Schmill Duva Dungar is very lavish.
- 36:23Very, I didn't like it. Even Schmilly Ungar I didn't
- 36:25like. I thought that if only my name
- 36:27was Mahal Schnitzler. It's like a name, everybody.
- 36:29It's good. It's a singer or Lipa
- 36:31Schmeltzer. Oh my God, Schmilly Ungar is
- 36:33like so foreign. It's like maybe schlomitzing.
- 36:36That's what I looked at it. All the names sound the same to
- 36:39me, but I hear what you're saying OK.
- 36:42So I changed my name. I also changed my hat.
- 36:43I used to wear a Stauffenhit. You know, the different hats the
- 36:46stock matter wear. Anyway, it's all the thing.
- 36:47You know about a Stauffenhit now?
- 36:49Guys. You know.
- 36:50Sure, I know. So I've got to see this your
- 36:52background. What's your last name?
- 36:54Wushi was Schwartz. Wushi Schwartz was not narrowing
- 36:56down at all. Yeah.
- 36:57Schwartz is very popular in Monroe in Kira Zeal Schwartz.
- 37:00Wear Yeah, very popular I. Have a lot of relatives there
- 37:03which my my grandfather. She's Schwartz.
- 37:05Don't tell me. Yes, my grandfather.
- 37:08Yeah, no. I'm Schwartz is your.
- 37:09Uncle is my uncle. Yeah, I have.
- 37:12Can I know her? You know how many cousins I
- 37:13have? My great grandma.
- 37:14I just have to put this out there.
- 37:15Just as an FYI, my great grand you can, you can Google this.
- 37:19She there was an article in the New York Times that was released
- 37:22about her. OK, so you can check that out as
- 37:23well. Mr. Yitzhak Schwartz's wife.
- 37:25No Yitzhak Schwartz's mother. Mother.
- 37:27OK, Her name was. Yita Yita Schwartz.
- 37:30Yeah, Baba Yitela. Baba Yitela.
- 37:32She had how many? Oh, go for it.
- 37:34When she died, they had recorded over 2200 grandchildren.
- 37:41Now keep in mind that my wife, for example, is not counted in
- 37:45that because my wife is what they say.
- 37:48My wife married into the family, so she's not counted.
- 37:51These are direct descendants that came from you know what
- 37:54that means? She had an army of people on her
- 37:57own. Like she had 19 children.
- 38:00OK. I think she actually had a
- 38:01little bit more. I think one or two passed away.
- 38:03But she had about 19 kids, and each of those 19 about. 19 This
- 38:07is his family, by the way. Yeah, is it?
- 38:09There cha GPT 2, there you go. 20000 cha GPT has it yet to
- 38:13Schwartz, a so big woman known for having one of the largest
- 38:17documented families in modern times grandmother she reportedly
- 38:20over 2000. You didn't know this about him,
- 38:22Mike. How crazy is that?
- 38:25We're living in hiring you out from it.
- 38:26Exactly when we were speaking. Earlier, I'm going to become an
- 38:29entertainer. Yeah, like.
- 38:31No, you have your. Cousin, I'm like, whoa, whoa,
- 38:33whoa, whoa. Slow it out, Cousins.
- 38:35We are. Yeah, yeah.
- 38:36Yeah, no, for sure. I know them.
- 38:37I don't know. I don't know their names, but
- 38:38they're for sure cousins. But.
- 38:39But yeah, you're never going to know.
- 38:41But you have this keshmak this Shabbat Keshmak.
- 38:43Yeah. Thank you.
- 38:44Heiman used to be actor, maybe still acts just like.
- 38:47I'm going to. Act on plays.
- 38:49Yeah, yeah, Boston, I'll. Tell you one story.
- 38:52I think it's pretty interesting. One story, One of these 2000
- 38:55great grandchildren of hers wasn't a great.
- 38:57It was a great grand child. Very rarely saw his great
- 39:01grandmother like she. She had a lot of kids, a lot of
- 39:03grandkids. Like it's hard for her to keep
- 39:04track. And she was already older.
- 39:06So he was married. He was probably in his 20s.
- 39:09So he calls her on the phone one day and he says, hi, Bobby, how
- 39:13are you? She said, good, good.
- 39:14She says, do you know who this is?
- 39:16She says, of course. And he didn't say his name yet.
- 39:19And he didn't say his name. He says really, You know, it's
- 39:22just by my voice. I'll give you $1000 if you
- 39:24really know who I am because you couldn't believe it.
- 39:26There's no way she knows. I'd barely ever speak to her.
- 39:28And I, you know, she has so many.
- 39:29She's like Heim Schmiel. Bring that $1000 to me right
- 39:32now. She knew immediately who he was.
- 39:34And it's. It was a story in the family
- 39:36because he couldn't believe her memory.
- 39:38Yeah. And somebody that she barely
- 39:40ever sees and that she should know his name to, to the extent
- 39:43just from his voice. And by the way, she was a very
- 39:46charitable woman. Like, she was always like busy
- 39:47with old people and as you can imagine, so like, you know, I
- 39:51assure you that money went to a very, very good 'cause but it
- 39:54was like she was a very, very impactful woman.
- 39:57She was. She was a great story.
- 39:59Yeah. Wow.
- 40:01Anyway, I digress. I'm sorry.
- 40:02No, no, I love, I always. Digress.
- 40:04You don't digress anything, ever.
- 40:06Boring. Yeah, It's all good.
- 40:08Thank you, Michael. Thank you.
- 40:10So we're I don't know what it was you're.
- 40:12Like you're singing how much money you?
- 40:13Earning. So we're up the price, we change
- 40:14the name, we change the hair, they're stuffing it so.
- 40:16You're starting to recognize that it's becoming a career.
- 40:18That's what's happening. Yeah, I guess realizing.
- 40:21OK, I can actually make money out.
- 40:22Of this and at that point the new business cards, I didn't
- 40:24ask. Films right now.
- 40:25Right now you're just. Singing it, yeah, I'm just like
- 40:26karaoke singer. Yeah.
- 40:28Even you're asking before if I thought it's going to be a
- 40:30career at that point, people would come and go over knee
- 40:33Shimili Vemasta album when you're putting out an album and
- 40:36I felt like there like condescending is the word.
- 40:39I felt like they're making quizzic of me, like they're
- 40:42teasing me like come on, just be nice.
- 40:44I think at a wedding. Why?
- 40:46That's what I think I I I because I I thought I'm going to
- 40:49be like like maybe Sally Gold. Sally Gold hadn't released an
- 40:51album for he sang for 15 years. It didn't.
- 40:53Really. But he had a successful career
- 40:54as a. Yeah, as a wedding singer,
- 40:56what's wrong with that? And I felt like if I'm going to
- 40:58do an album that's only for a studio artist, I'm a karaoke
- 41:01Hostana singer. When you come to ask me this
- 41:03question, you just want to like. You're mocking me.
- 41:05Yeah, that's what I felt. It was crazy.
- 41:08Anyway, I'm gonna venture to say that most people weren't mocking
- 41:11you, they were actually complimenting.
- 41:12I know. I know, so interesting.
- 41:14That the way how I felt, the message I felt.
- 41:16So interesting. All about how you hear things.
- 41:17Yeah. It's all about how you perceive
- 41:19things, yeah. What messages you get and.
- 41:21It's difficult for people who are saying it to even know this,
- 41:23right, because they're giving you a compliment in their mind,
- 41:25right? And it's it's just amazing.
- 41:26I mean, we can go down that anxiety Rd. forever.
- 41:29But yeah, continue. I'm I'm interested.
- 41:31In this we went from 1100 to 1300, Yeah.
- 41:34And then this naftalishness told me go to. 1413 is not such a
- 41:37good number. Go to 14 because he said when a
- 41:39person hears 13 it's like more than 1000, but when a person has
- 41:4314, it's not. 1500, not 15. It's under 1500.
- 41:46It's like $0.99. Yeah, something like that.
- 41:48Very interesting. Yes, I went to 1400 and that was
- 41:51like a big move in the business. I remember getting a phone call
- 41:53from one of the fellow singers that will not mention any names.
- 41:56He's been doing it longer than me and he felt threatened that
- 42:01are you going up with the price? But who do you think you are?
- 42:04What are you doing? You know, I've been doing this
- 42:05very long and I've been going up very gradually, $50.00 and and
- 42:10blah, blah, blah. And I, I listened to him and I
- 42:12told him I, I said like, yeah, I'm also not planning on jumping
- 42:15up with the price. I'm also going to put in maybe
- 42:17another few months until I go to 1800.
- 42:20Like, like in a way, Like who are you to decide that it's $50
- 42:23every 12 months? Maybe it's $500 every.
- 42:25Six, I am worth whatever people are willing to pay.
- 42:28Exactly. That's what Natalie Schnitzer
- 42:29realized, yeah. Whatever.
- 42:30That's what you're worth. What did you set the market
- 42:32price based on? What people?
- 42:33Yeah, based on what people tell you the market exactly.
- 42:36I I can price myself out of business, the market will
- 42:38decide, right? But he felt threatened instead
- 42:41of like, feeling the feeling. These new guys, you open the
- 42:44prize, We're going to push up the prize.
- 42:46Let's do this. You could help the market.
- 42:47Yes, yeah. And not, not only is this, you
- 42:50asked before if I can make a living.
- 42:52So at this point in life, I'm divorced.
- 42:53I don't have much expenses. I'm working with this guy,
- 42:55Nafali Schnitzler. Currently he's working with
- 42:57Barry Weber, with the early Greenfeld, maybe with Lipa
- 43:01Schmeltzer. He's working with other guys and
- 43:03he's telling those guys for Barry Weber very.
- 43:05You're charging only $1200. You gotta go up to 18.
- 43:07You gotta push it. And Betty and Greenfield, they
- 43:10have families. They say I'm very happy this is
- 43:13what people are giving me. And the price for a wedding
- 43:15singer for many, many years was the price between 800 and $1500.
- 43:19That's what the number. Mahus Nistler was 18.
- 43:22It was a big deal. And maybe Schlemmy Dascal was
- 43:2425. He was the Medeira and a singer.
- 43:26Schmeltzer. Lipa Schmeltzer, Yeah.
- 43:28It was also the higher. End Yes, yes, it was a Yeah, it
- 43:31was the post now. Identifying is, then the higher
- 43:33end was 2500. Meaning yeah.
- 43:35The market has changed, which we'll talk about in a minute.
- 43:38Yeah, I'm going to get there. So, so I didn't have what to
- 43:43lose and I'm paying this Naftali Schnitzler for helping me.
- 43:47I figure if he's going to give me advice, I'm going to take it.
- 43:50And he told me to go to 14 and six months later I'm going to 18
- 43:53and the calendar is just booked, jam packed, I'm working every
- 43:56night. Every night, every night.
- 43:58So you work Sunday to Thursday? Yeah, OK, You know what?
- 44:00I was never the singlest thing. Tally Goldie would sing every
- 44:03night. It's really vedicious things.
- 44:04I mean, she better call. They sing every night.
- 44:06Even in my hottest, hottest times I was singing.
- 44:10I could do 3 or 4 weddings a night.
- 44:12On and on and on. That's a.
- 44:13That's a lot. Yeah, it's a lot of words.
- 44:15It doesn't take a toll on your voice.
- 44:16It did. It did, but like.
- 44:18Four or five hours also. Yeah, no, it's like 3 hours.
- 44:21But I take a lot of breaks. The musician takes solos and
- 44:25sometimes you have choirs or the choir takes away.
- 44:27Now I'm not singing five nights a week.
- 44:29I mean, it can happen in June if, if I would get book, I would
- 44:32do five nights, but it's not so often.
- 44:34If I do 2 weddings a week is average is nice.
- 44:36It's easy. The money is even more than I
- 44:38would do 5 weddings back then. So you know, I I have more time.
- 44:42It's a different ball game all together.
- 44:44But back then starting out and I'm going to 18 and to 25 and
- 44:47everybody, I was a member in the sheet of choir and I had my
- 44:51peers. How do you call it the people
- 44:53working with me? Colleagues.
- 44:54My colleagues, yes, And we were friends and, and I'm charging
- 44:58money for singing and then I'm working with them back in
- 45:01different singers. So it became a kind of a
- 45:03friction. They wanted to be my friend, but
- 45:05behind my back they were saying, who's this guy?
- 45:07Who did you think he is? Yeah, he's one day he's going to
- 45:11come like all these things. But in front of me, they're my
- 45:14friend. Yeah, but they want to be my
- 45:16friend. And it's good then.
- 45:18Politics ensued. This What do you know?
- 45:20This part, I'm going to admit, it was probably true.
- 45:22Like that's what was happening. Yeah, it wasn't.
- 45:25It wasn't perceived that way. This wasn't.
- 45:26Unfortunately, it was. This was the real life.
- 45:29Yeah, that's why they also comes out.
- 45:31And yeah, and they also wanted to figure out where they're
- 45:33standing and how they're feeling about it.
- 45:35And may become I also become a I just.
- 45:36Want to do you? Do you just want to?
- 45:38Love, I'm just, I'm, yeah, I'm spreading my wings and flying.
- 45:41That's, that's what I'm doing. And you know what I always tell
- 45:43people when I was doing this in 2013, 1415, I was, I was £350.
- 45:49I was, my Max was 405 lbs. I can show you a picture.
- 45:52I was £400. I was a big guy.
- 45:55I was divorced. I gained a lot of weight.
- 45:57I had a watch like a white watch, like a $10 watch, but it
- 46:00looked like yours didn't have a white watch.
- 46:02Thank you very much. It was like a boxy 1.
- 46:05And I liked it and I wore it. And I had a Dashik.
- 46:09You know what a Dashik is like? The Russian has like a like a
- 46:11head. Oh yes.
- 46:12Yes, yes, it's called a dashik. And I just did my thing and and
- 46:17there was so much space for people to say that this guy, I
- 46:22woke him up on stage. He can barely breathe and he has
- 46:24this watch. I can't look like if I, if
- 46:27nothing would have turned out of shmilly anger, they would say,
- 46:29yeah, you know, the guy was £500.
- 46:31What? What?
- 46:31What? What?
- 46:32What was he hanging right. And now that La Mansa I did, it
- 46:34did work out for me. People are saying, yeah, you
- 46:37know, he was this guy. He was this big guy.
- 46:39Now it's a good story. Not exactly, but.
- 46:41People they they make kids, however.
- 46:43Because you had the guts to put yourself out there.
- 46:45You know, I'm sure you had anxieties about it because, you
- 46:48know, you were divorced and people know you.
- 46:49So like, that's always got to be a little bit hard.
- 46:52Maybe I I didn't feel, I didn't feel so much anxiety.
- 46:55Especially that I see this your community, it makes do you feel
- 46:57probably a little bit like an outcast?
- 46:58Yeah, I had one friend, Velvet Feldman used to say like, like
- 47:01in like in like a voice. Shmilly, Shmilly, lose the
- 47:04watch, lose the watch, you know, like in that kind of sense.
- 47:08Gotta go. And I would tell him, Velvey,
- 47:10you're not there yet. You'll get there.
- 47:12Like like you're behind and this is the stuff that's happening.
- 47:16You're just behind. But after I went, I went with
- 47:19the how is it called in the water?
- 47:21That's jet ski and we fell in and the whole the.
- 47:24Watch was done it. Was gone and that was the end of
- 47:26the war. Yeah, the order.
- 47:29They claimed your watch. That's yes, yes.
- 47:31What are you charging right now? Like what's?
- 47:33Your average 12, the average, I don't know, The Jacinda have
- 47:37different prices and there's the the Sheba she singers have
- 47:40different prices. But you don't go less than what?
- 48:03What do you like 10? Grand 1010 a Bitcoin if if you
- 48:07pay me in Bitcoin, I'm serious. I hate when people start
- 48:10laughing because they don't take it.
- 48:11Seriously. No, I I love.
- 48:13It it's my issue. I'm giving this one day Bitcoin.
- 48:15If you not, yeah. If you pay me in Bitcoin I take
- 48:1811,000,000 sets and it can be sometimes even less than 10 the.
- 48:21Reason very smart for the record, the reason why I'm
- 48:23laughing is because I was waiting to talk about this
- 48:26that's why I'm. Laughing.
- 48:27I mentioned Bitcoin before. Yeah, that's why I was like, now
- 48:29we got it back, we're gonna football.
- 48:31Player Odell Beckham junior is OBJ and he took his salary.
- 48:36I forget which team it was that he was playing for in Bitcoin.
- 48:39He did, and at the time when Bitcoin wasn't as high as it is
- 48:42today. I need to hear this story.
- 48:44People, this is a very famous story.
- 48:46I'm saying if you read the news, you can see it.
- 48:48What? Like 2015, 2016, like years ago.
- 48:50Something like that. I don't know, it was 2015.
- 48:51It was a little later than that, probably 2018-2019, something
- 48:54like that. And he took his his salary in
- 48:57Bitcoin shares and people thought he was crazy at the time
- 49:00because he wasn't taking guaranteed money.
- 49:02So he and you know what? A legend.
- 49:04What a legend. And he posted about it very
- 49:07recently, like a year ago or. Something and he sold it.
- 49:09Yeah, no, I don't know if he sold it or not, but he posted
- 49:11how much is worth how much Bitcoin he had.
- 49:13He got in 2018 25 exactly Bitcoin and now the world.
- 49:17How much he earned so how much he got in Bitcoin?
- 49:19And I don't remember the numbers I'm stuff, could probably look
- 49:21it up. You can look it up, but LBJ,
- 49:23what was his name he's saying? Crazy amount and he made a lot
- 49:25of money, which was, you know, very smart. 20/20/21 he made
- 49:29national headlines. 21 he got his salary.
- 49:32In what was it at the time? 750,000.
- 49:36Dollars so it's not so much. So his officer was up 30.
- 49:39Thousand Oh look, watch this at the time Bitcoin was trading.
- 49:41Around 6060 so he got $1,000,000.
- 49:43Now he's trading at 88, so he's making as of now.
- 49:46He made each coin to 100 at 1:00.
- 49:47Point yeah 109 almost 99 for sure it's gonna go up way more
- 49:50he's. Gonna go up way more, yes.
- 49:52It's gonna go up. It's gonna go up.
- 49:53Never sell you Bitcoin. Do you have any exposure to the
- 49:55to digital? Not really.
- 49:56Not really. Do your research.
- 49:58I had it for like 5-10 minutes like very very and they sold it
- 50:01period but but no no. A friend of mine that made a lot
- 50:03of money on it and I was upset at him.
- 50:06I'm like, why did you share this with me?
- 50:07I don't. Understand.
- 50:08How could he share it with you? Hold on.
- 50:10He had no information on his own.
- 50:11Even today I understand. He wasn't like he didn't have
- 50:13secret sauce that he held back from you.
- 50:15He himself didn't know. And he was going to.
- 50:17He wasn't going to give you all these false information and lose
- 50:20all your money too. Exactly.
- 50:21So obviously I was just, you know, I was kidding.
- 50:23I was thinking I can share with me because suddenly he should
- 50:25share every stock with me. That's what his answer was like
- 50:28every time I invest in, you know.
- 50:29I should make a call to Michael. Gold, whatever.
- 50:31So instead of saying that, I said it to him at the time.
- 50:34So we laughed and I'm like, you know what?
- 50:35I'm gonna buy. And that's when I bought.
- 50:37Right there and. Right on the spot, I call it F
- 50:39you money. Just take a little bit of money,
- 50:41invest it in something that might go big one day.
- 50:44I tell people like that the best time to buy Bitcoin was in 2910.
- 50:48Eleven 12. I like to tease Michael all the
- 50:49time when I see Bitcoin. He's like my Bitcoin friend that
- 50:51I know, and every time he goes down, I'm like Michael, Michael.
- 50:54Game. Yeah, exactly.
- 50:56I don't like, I don't. I always come around on status,
- 50:59overtime and Bitcoin drops. They're all coming out from
- 51:02those, the bitter people who lost the money, who don't get
- 51:05it, the egos, do you? Understand Bitcoin guys, you
- 51:08both understand. I'm a student of Bitcoin.
- 51:10Learning is I don't. Have the brain cells for that
- 51:12right now, no problem. Understand.
- 51:13Imagine if I could dumb it down to you.
- 51:14And tell, but this is a money. This is a business podcast for
- 51:17your audience out there. I just want to give them a cute
- 51:19message. Leave it.
- 51:20That's kosher money I want to hear.
- 51:21I don't. Agree with you?
- 51:22I disagree. Pause.
- 51:24Remember what you want to ask. This is for the audience.
- 51:26We're gonna have a good time, but I don't think audience.
- 51:28Needs to hear from. Us they do need go ahead.
- 51:31Take it away. What do you want to tell us
- 51:32about? What I want to say is I want to
- 51:34echo in what my friend Rashmili Duvideir is saying here, that
- 51:38you know, he. I laughed at it only again, I'm
- 51:40going to repeat it not only because we spoke about it and
- 51:43wanted to speak about it. I knew this story.
- 51:45I imagined he was going to bring something like that up because
- 51:47he's. A.
- 51:47But the player, there's other sports.
- 51:48About Bitcoin etcetera. And you shouldn't dismiss it so
- 51:51fast and I'll tell you why. Just like in the world today,
- 51:54AI, if you look up the top ten jobs available in the world
- 51:57today, technology is definitely up there and AI is big part.
- 52:01You can't ignore it. You can't ignore what's
- 52:03happening in this part of the world.
- 52:04It's like saying I don't want to look at gold, right?
- 52:06Bitcoin is a certain type of digital currency that is
- 52:10compared to gold. You can't just say I don't want
- 52:12to know about it. That's all.
- 52:12That's what I was trying to say before.
- 52:14So that. It goes even.
- 52:15Deeper. I just feel like, you know, as
- 52:16much as I know though. Even No, no, no.
- 52:18Everything you just said I agree with.
- 52:19No, no, no, I know. I know a little more that I can
- 52:20educate you on Bitcoin in the 10 second.
- 52:22Version. Nobody really knows.
- 52:23We're all still learning it. Money.
- 52:25The noise of our money is omic, Omic.
- 52:27It's very deep and we don't know nothing.
- 52:29It's like I always tell people I read it, but I tell people the
- 52:32story, these two fish were swimming in the ocean.
- 52:34There's two youngsters fish and the old guy was coming against
- 52:37them. And the, the old fish goes to
- 52:40the fish and says, oh, how's the water today?
- 52:43And they've swim past. And the one fish tells you what,
- 52:46what's water? And the point of the story is
- 52:49we're all surrounded with money. We take it and we live for it
- 52:53and we spend. It for granted.
- 52:54We don't even know what it is. We don't know.
- 52:56Nobody knows. So even if you're not interested
- 52:58in Bitcoin for whatever reasons, we don't know if somebody in the
- 53:01in the in the in the audience that's checking in the business
- 53:04they want to explore. So this is not financial advice.
- 53:07I always say that I don't know for what reason just nobody
- 53:09should hold me accountable, but I am putting a lot of mine who
- 53:13some into Bitcoin. I'm are you really putting it?
- 53:14Yes, I'm a Bitcoin maxi. It's gold and I've recently sold
- 53:18my gold, all of it and I bought without Bitcoin.
- 53:21With that you can. I would do even more but you.
- 53:23Don't fall in on this. I would but my wife doesn't let
- 53:26me. There's a few things I would
- 53:27want to do. You want to hear it, but maybe
- 53:30this is I want to sell my house. I want to sell my house, I want
- 53:33to rent, yes, want to sell my house and get myself Bitcoin and
- 53:37rent. I can rent, I can rent the house
- 53:39for the next 10 years. What is I can rent a nice house
- 53:41for $5000 a month. Now is an opportunity where you
- 53:44can get Bitcoin for SO by. The way your house is also an
- 53:46investment, you know you're giving.
- 53:47That up my ability, it's below. It's all.
- 53:50It's it's all. This sounds a little bit
- 53:52excessive. It's all surrounded with the US
- 53:54dollar. Not for your wife.
- 53:56It's holding you back from selling your house Bitcoin on
- 53:58this. Bita horn, bita horn.
- 54:01Either way, because you don't understand, because you don't
- 54:04know what Bitcoin is. Neither do you.
- 54:06I know more than you, I've studied.
- 54:08Not enough, more than you don't know enough to go all in on
- 54:10this. You see, I'm going all in
- 54:12responsible. No, it's not.
- 54:13If you would know what Bitcoin is, if you would put in the
- 54:16hours that I've put into it, more than 1000 hours, I would
- 54:19start you over the book, The Bitcoin Standard.
- 54:22Familiarize yourself. I'm telling you how is it
- 54:25possible that. It's so volatile that it's
- 54:27keeping going. Because it's in the beginning.
- 54:28Yeah, it's in the beginning. In the beginning.
- 54:31Right now. It's not a currency people don't
- 54:32think. It's like going to Vegas and
- 54:33putting $50. On rent for sure, not 100.
- 54:36You know what it is? Those coin, Ethereum, all these
- 54:40other mean coins and old coins, That's gambling.
- 54:42You can make money, but that's gambling.
- 54:45Bitcoin is the one thing. Bitcoin is a Bitcoin is a
- 54:47protocol Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a revolution.
- 54:51You hear me? It's like electricity.
- 54:53That's what it is. It's going to change the world,
- 54:55just like the Internet changed the world.
- 54:57You know, the Internet wasn't. the US government didn't allow
- 54:59the Internet in the beginning. It need to be regulated.
- 55:02And all these big companies, they didn't want to use e-mail.
- 55:04What is e-mail? I want to take a bird and put in
- 55:06a piece of paper. I know the other person is going
- 55:09to get my message. e-mail or you're not.
- 55:11I'm going to send something. I don't know where it's getting
- 55:13digitally for sure. People didn't want.
- 55:15Yeah, yeah. That's why they think just like
- 55:17you were saying. And it was just a matter of time
- 55:19where money is going to become digital.
- 55:21And not only that, all the other stuff is going to go into
- 55:25Bitcoin. Bitcoin is going to swallow
- 55:27everything up. Because think about it.
- 55:29You see, I got to go, but you got me at the Bitcoin.
- 55:31I'm you're very passionate about this.
- 55:33I'm telling you, it's amazing. People are not paying attention.
- 55:36People are like you screaming and laughing.
- 55:39And I want to go on the rooftops and scream it.
- 55:42And, and people, I put out a post, I'm taking Bitcoin
- 55:4411,000,000 sets per wedding. Do you know what I got in
- 55:47return? Messages and messages.
- 55:49Your account was hacked. Your account was hacked.
- 55:52People think it's a scam and the media is a big part of it
- 55:55because they don't want people should know and it's it's a
- 55:58little bit conflicting because there's now a Bitcoin strategic
- 56:01reserve that Trump has signed into law.
- 56:03It's amazing, but yet people are still not paying attention.
- 56:06They think it's Internet money, it's gambling going to Vegas
- 56:09because they didn't do the work and you're doing medical stuff
- 56:13very nice. But you always in the in the
- 56:15market of Fiat dollar, which is it's, it's, it's a scam.
- 56:18They're printing this money. But you, you're not with your
- 56:20family, you're sitting in traffic, you're giving away your
- 56:23days and your nights. You're not raising your children
- 56:25for something that somebody can print out of out of nothing.
- 56:28That's what they do. They tell you they do it.
- 56:30They tell you there's 2% inflation, which is much more
- 56:33than that. But we're just so caught up in
- 56:35it. We don't see that we're losing
- 56:36our purchasing power. So what people are doing,
- 56:39instead of having $100 million in cash, they buy themselves a
- 56:42penthouse in Manhattan, and they don't even live there.
- 56:45But they want to. They need to store their value,
- 56:48right? They don't.
- 56:48Want their money there? But they got to pay taxes, they
- 56:51got to pay for all kinds of stuff in the house.
- 56:54And if you want to find the tenant, it's a lot of, it's a
- 56:57lot of if zoning laws can change, but they need to, they
- 57:01can't. They don't want to have that
- 57:02cash because they're losing purchasing power.
- 57:04So they got to buy the house and the house, nobody's living
- 57:07there. So what happens?
- 57:08The houses go up in price and it's not used as a utility.
- 57:11It's used as a store of value. Now people don't think about it
- 57:14because it's all the subconscious and the the
- 57:17Matthias is just like water needs to go to the the the
- 57:20lowest place. Naturally capital money cash
- 57:25always wants to go to the hardest place.
- 57:27It used to be copper, it used to be silver and went to gold and
- 57:30always wants to go to the most scarce place.
- 57:33It wants to go to the most valuable place.
- 57:36We understand Bitcoin is that thing.
- 57:38It's capped at 21 million coins. That is never going to be more
- 57:42people don't get the concept of this and they're gonna keep on
- 57:45mining it. I'm I'm talking a lot.
- 57:46You probably don't understand, no.
- 57:48The next I'm soaking this all in for the next I might buy a
- 57:50Bitcoin tomorrow. No, you're not gonna buy a
- 57:52Bitcoin. You have $85,000.
- 57:53That's very expensive, I. Would get you over $10 and other
- 57:55people don't get exactly $10 fractions of a Bitcoin.
- 58:01That's where the currency comes in because I think in 20 years
- 58:04people will be using this as a median of exchange.
- 58:07Right now people Al Salvador, they're doing, yes, people are
- 58:11doing it all over the place, of course, but it's not it's not
- 58:14adopt mainstream, adopted yet. It's still in the stages of
- 58:17store of value. People who don't want to have
- 58:20their money in real estate because they don't want to deal
- 58:22with the government. Also, people don't know this.
- 58:24Do you? But what do you own?
- 58:25Do you own your house? Yes.
- 58:27How do you own your house? Try not paying taxes for three
- 58:31years. What's going to happen?
- 58:32Which, by the way, is a crazy concept.
- 58:34How is it crazy? Well, if you don't really own
- 58:36anything. I own my house.
- 58:37The government technically owns a piece that's.
- 58:39What I'm saying? You don't own on your house.
- 58:42If you don't pay them, you're. Due exactly take your house away
- 58:47from. You, by the way, they're talking
- 58:48now, there is now a talk on Capitol Hill about creating some
- 58:51bills to take some of that power away from, from the towns, the
- 58:54villagers and whatever, and from the state and from the federal
- 58:57government, that they should not have so much unlimited power
- 59:00that they can take away things from you.
- 59:02Yeah. It's crazy, but people don't
- 59:04people think I'm, I paid off my house, it's about to pay off.
- 59:07You gotta pay every month $1500 I pay in taxes, $1500 used to
- 59:11pay for rent for my whole house, right?
- 59:12This is continued for the rest of my life.
- 59:14Makes no sense to me. Bitcoin, you own it.
- 59:17Nobody can take it away from you.
- 59:19The government can come in and steal your they can steal your
- 59:22gold like what happened in the 40's.
- 59:23The government says you got to bring your gold.
- 59:24It was an executive order, the Bitcoin.
- 59:26They got a negotiator. Who's managing this Bitcoin?
- 59:29Good question. Who's regulating this?
- 59:31Great. Question.
- 59:33Regulating is a different. Not regulating who owns.
- 59:35This is also a big part. It's decentralized.
- 59:38There's no government that can go and knock in somebody's door
- 59:41like the Ethereum and Dogecoin and all this other stuff and
- 59:44shut you down. It's a decentralized protocol.
- 59:49Who's the creator? Thousands and thousands of
- 59:51computers all over the globe sitting and monitoring this
- 59:55thing. Miners.
- 59:58Is there anybody that has the ability to hack this system and
- 1:00:01take? They've been trying.
- 1:00:02They've been trying for as long as it's been 15 years.
- 1:00:05They've been trying. Isn't that a concern though,
- 1:00:07that that could happen one day and that every?
- 1:00:08People people who want to poopoo it use that quantum computer is
- 1:00:13going to come and is going to steal well and.
- 1:00:15There's something, there's something to be said about a
- 1:00:17physical, tangible currency versus something that's digital,
- 1:00:21that there's always going to be the ability for people to take
- 1:00:25control by hacking. There is that risk.
- 1:00:28As good as this system is that created it, there could be a
- 1:00:31system that could break it apart.
- 1:00:33No, because think about what you're saying.
- 1:00:36What should be the incentive of somebody to break it apart if he
- 1:00:39wants the money from Bitcoin? If it breaks it apart, Bitcoin
- 1:00:42goes to 0, so he has. Nothing.
- 1:00:43He stole something that's worthless now.
- 1:00:45Exactly. And it's, it's if you're going
- 1:00:48to do your research, you're going to know how he put
- 1:00:50together. You did a lot of research in
- 1:00:52this, really. Over 1000.
- 1:00:53Dollars. A lot of research.
- 1:00:54More than and I love it When it goes up, my Seaman Hussen go up.
- 1:00:58When it goes down, I look for money to buy more, so I'm always
- 1:01:01in the state. I wow, you're an addict.
- 1:01:03You think I'm an? Addict.
- 1:01:04It sounds to me like it. This is like this is like.
- 1:01:07I don't agree. With him and.
- 1:01:08I have the people who are into it and they all of them say one
- 1:01:12of the hardest thing is when they tell their friends and
- 1:01:14family the responses they get. And it's hurting me a little
- 1:01:19bit. But I'm thinking in 20 years
- 1:01:21from now, if you're gonna listen to my, you do your research and
- 1:01:24you're gonna, it's gonna, everybody's gonna get Bitcoin.
- 1:01:26I just wanna clarify something. And there's gonna be a time
- 1:01:28where you're not gonna be able to buy Bitcoin right with U.S.
- 1:01:30dollar. They're not gonna sell it to
- 1:01:31you. They're gonna say, you know
- 1:01:32what, you're gonna work for me. I'll give you some Bitcoin.
- 1:01:36Wow, yes. And that's that precious.
- 1:01:38And that's when it's going to be too late, too late to make money
- 1:01:41off of it. There's a few dynamics.
- 1:01:44If you get in now, you can potentially be a millionaire
- 1:01:46because this is the new foundation of the global
- 1:01:48monetary system that's happening now.
- 1:01:50And it's going to be a time that's going to be done.
- 1:01:53So you have like 10 years like the, the, the gold rush you have
- 1:01:57from November of 24 till 2032. What then?
- 1:02:01It's going to be 99% of the Bitcoin mined and that's when
- 1:02:04it's going to, it's going to switch over to, to a median of
- 1:02:09exchange and to a unit of account where people are going
- 1:02:13to be exchanging it. It's just going to happen
- 1:02:15naturally. So to finish off my my point
- 1:02:18before, so houses are used for utility to live in.
- 1:02:21I bought my house 10 years ago. The sheetrock didn't get more
- 1:02:24expensive. It got crayoned on, the plumbing
- 1:02:27got rotted, the copper is is got it's like 10 years it's wear and
- 1:02:31tear yet my house is worth like but $700,000 more.
- 1:02:35Does that make sense? The house for utility.
- 1:02:37The house is not, it's the land. What do you mean it's?
- 1:02:39The So it's the land, whatever it.
- 1:02:40Is spot that you're on right? It's that it's that real estate
- 1:02:43that you can take it up on your block maybe.
- 1:02:45Block. That little chunk of.
- 1:02:47So what happened in this little in this 10 years, what happened?
- 1:02:49It didn't, I didn't, I think the kid.
- 1:02:52I switched over the sprinklers. My seller had sprinklers all
- 1:02:54over town and it was costing a lot of money.
- 1:02:56I shot them down. I just kept off.
- 1:02:58So I maybe did damage to the khaki.
- 1:03:00How come it went up so much in price?
- 1:03:02Because it ties into what I said before.
- 1:03:04All these millionaires, they're using their money to get to put
- 1:03:07it into real estate for the the value to keep their value.
- 1:03:11And if the real estate is is off, it costs a lot of money
- 1:03:14because you're not just buying it for utility to live in,
- 1:03:17You're buying it as a store of value.
- 1:03:18What Bitcoin is going to do, eventually all of these folks
- 1:03:22are going to realize why am I having all these property and
- 1:03:24I'm busy with the, with the zoning laws and maintenance and,
- 1:03:28and, and taxes and everything. It can burn down.
- 1:03:31You know how much money gets wasted ties into the volatility.
- 1:03:37You know how much money is wasted in the world?
- 1:03:39There's $900 trillion worth of assets, capital, equities,
- 1:03:44bonds, real estate, gold, silver, 900 trillion dollars,
- 1:03:50450 of it, half of it is not being moved.
- 1:03:54It's just sitting. It's sitting for wealthy people,
- 1:03:57for them, the most, the the most scariest thing is for them is
- 1:04:00how do I keep my money? How do I not lose it?
- 1:04:02How do I, the government shouldn't take it away from me.
- 1:04:05I want to move from Russia. I have all this real estate on
- 1:04:07Russia. What am I going?
- 1:04:08I want to move to? It's a big problem.
- 1:04:11Bitcoin solves all of it anyway. So this $450 trillion which is
- 1:04:15in real estate and gold just sitting, the other 450 people
- 1:04:18are doing stagnant, yes, it's just as a store of value for all
- 1:04:21this 1%. I don't want to bore you.
- 1:04:24This $450 trillion every year between natural disasters and
- 1:04:31rioting and zoning laws and elections, all this stuff for
- 1:04:37the $450 trillion loses around 1 or 2%.
- 1:04:40It's like 10 to $15 trillion, but people don't think about 10
- 1:04:44to 15 trillion. You're saying that that?
- 1:04:46It goes, maybe it goes out from here, but it goes over here.
- 1:04:49It's always people are losing between all these insurance
- 1:04:52companies have to pay for natural disasters, Somebody is
- 1:04:55losing. It's going all over the place,
- 1:04:58but it's getting out of the system like 1 or 2% of the $450
- 1:05:02trillion. So the volatility, what you're
- 1:05:04seeing in Bitcoin, it's $2 trillion.
- 1:05:06The whole the whole market cap of it is it's not so much if you
- 1:05:10want to look at where you're really like losing a lot of
- 1:05:14money, but you don't see it is over there in the $450 trillion
- 1:05:17anyway. As soon as the millionaires will
- 1:05:19realize that the best store of value is not real estate and
- 1:05:23it's not gold and it's not always Bitcoin is the real
- 1:05:26thing. Everything is going to start
- 1:05:27adjusting. Houses are going to go down in
- 1:05:29price. The stuff you're going to buy is
- 1:05:31going to become cheaper. The stuff you're going to buy is
- 1:05:34going to become more better stuff, better quality stuff.
- 1:05:38Now I might, you might think, yeah, he's in a dreamland, but
- 1:05:42if you would study it, it all, it's like a domino effect.
- 1:05:46You fix the money, you fix the world.
- 1:05:48Bitcoin has not been around in history.
- 1:05:51In 2009, there was a guy named Satoshi Nakamoto and he figured
- 1:05:55out how to put a few things together as a dish and he used,
- 1:06:00he used blockchain technology to keep a Ledger, to keep Hashmu.
- 1:06:05He used the hash rate for security to secure it, like 256
- 1:06:09hashes. I don't even know exactly what
- 1:06:12I'm saying, but it's like 00 zero, 256 zeros.
- 1:06:16That's how encrypted it is. Like you, it's Mamish, not
- 1:06:21Migler to hack it. People have been trying,
- 1:06:23governments have been trying. North Korea has their group
- 1:06:26called Lazarus and they hackers, they hack all over the place and
- 1:06:29they hacked an exchange that sells cryptocurrencies.
- 1:06:34I bet it was called. It's called.
- 1:06:36They stole $1.5 billion worth of Etherium.
- 1:06:39Now exchanges are not so secure. This is also if you're going to
- 1:06:42buy Bitcoin, you want to take it to self custody.
- 1:06:45It's a whole why I can talk so much about it.
- 1:06:47Bottom line, I bet there's an exchange and these Lazarus
- 1:06:51driver from North Korea, they hacked it and they stole $1.5
- 1:06:54billion worth of Ethereum and they bought, you know what they
- 1:06:58bought? They bought Bitcoin.
- 1:07:00What? Bitcoin because North Korea
- 1:07:03wants to position themselves to be in a good story that.
- 1:07:05I. Designed true, it's.
- 1:07:07Amazing. People are not paying attention.
- 1:07:08How do we not know anything? Because you're doing the medical
- 1:07:11field and you're busy picking up phones from Andy Glick and
- 1:07:13you're asking him Four O clock is the podcast.
- 1:07:16You're doing your thing. I have the community gave me
- 1:07:19economic freedom. I don't work all the time.
- 1:07:21I have time and I'm starting. I'm seeing this thing every day.
- 1:07:25I'm listening to podcast. I'm listening to what's
- 1:07:27happening in this market and people are not paying attention.
- 1:07:30So people say I'm so late. It's 85,000 now I want to get
- 1:07:34those going. It's $0.15 a share, a unit,
- 1:07:37whatever you want to call it. And I'm telling you it is so
- 1:07:40early. If I, if you go into any gas
- 1:07:42station, you ask the guy, do you know Bitcoin?
- 1:07:44They say you know you're early, you know you're early when
- 1:07:48you're going to be late as when people are not going to sell you
- 1:07:50any more Bitcoin for U.S. dollar.
- 1:07:52I think personally it's going to happen like at least 50 to 60%
- 1:07:57adoption. The Bitcoin, when Bitcoin is
- 1:07:59worth $5,000,000 a coin, that's what it's going to take.
- 1:08:03You know, I, I meant the Bitcoin.
- 1:08:05When Bitcoin turned to 1 cent, it was history.
- 1:08:09It was history because it started from 0.0000003 to go to
- 1:08:141 cent, it needed to go like 1000 X.
- 1:08:17It's like a mess. And then when it went to $0.10,
- 1:08:20it was a mess. But you and I, we didn't even
- 1:08:22know about it yet. It was something massive.
- 1:08:25Then it went to a dollar. It was a massive I didn't know
- 1:08:28$100 massive, we didn't know $1000 massive news, we didn't
- 1:08:32know 10,000 massive we didn't know.
- 1:08:35Now it reached 100,000. A lot of people still don't
- 1:08:38know, but by 100,000 it's attracting new kind of money by
- 1:08:42500,000 is going to attract. I got around like by by 10,000.
- 1:08:46That's when I, I came online to this and I I traded and I bought
- 1:08:50and I sold. I'm going to be rich.
- 1:08:52I'm going to gamble. I didn't even know what I'm
- 1:08:53buying from 2020 to 2024, four years.
- 1:08:56I was just whatever I need to find.
- 1:08:58I don't want to buy real estate. I'm going to buy Bitcoin and I
- 1:09:01bought and I sold in until November of 2024, maybe October
- 1:09:05before the election. It just, it just clicked.
- 1:09:10It's a total talk. It clicked to me and I just
- 1:09:12looked how much SAT, how much Bitcoin I have and I thought OK,
- 1:09:16whatever I have I'm keeping and from now on I'm only buying more
- 1:09:19and more and more. Thank God at that point I had
- 1:09:21some accumulation because I. Gotta stop you Stop.
- 1:09:24Just stop. Stop.
- 1:09:25This is wild. Even even when I'm stopping at
- 1:09:28so much to talk. You're you're a financial
- 1:09:30analyst. I'm not a.
- 1:09:32You're a singer. Like you have two things to get
- 1:09:342 notches in your belt. I I want to start for a moment
- 1:09:37because you're throwing so much. I mean, I want you to know,
- 1:09:39laugh. You're a tremendous salesman.
- 1:09:41I have to. Tell you I'm not looking to sell
- 1:09:42you this Bitcoin I'm making, not making anything.
- 1:09:45That I'm being sold slowly, but what you're, what you're doing
- 1:09:47is you're really opening my eyes to something that I need to do
- 1:09:48more research. Into the audience.
- 1:09:50Exactly. You got enough.
- 1:09:51Which one is my camera says Do your research Open up your eyes
- 1:09:55Google read the Bitcoin standard.
- 1:09:57The book came out of 2018. I don't read so good English.
- 1:10:00I listen to the audio it's 11 hours.
- 1:10:01I had to rerind constantly because in listening I was like
- 1:10:05whoa whoa, whoa, whoa, go back go back because it's Oh my it's
- 1:10:08very deep. All monetary system is very
- 1:10:10deep. So yeah, do your research, you
- 1:10:12go further any that's. Crazy what you're the way you're
- 1:10:14describing and you're articulating it very well.
- 1:10:17You also have all the jargons down like you know all the
- 1:10:19terminologies and you're clearly a subject matter expert on this.
- 1:10:24Like you have a tremendous amount of research that you've
- 1:10:26done and look for you that you took interest in something and
- 1:10:28you're pursued it to the level that you did that you become
- 1:10:31somewhat of an expert on it. And you probably have knowledge
- 1:10:35in this more than 95% of the world.
- 1:10:38It's unbelievable. You're in that little minor
- 1:10:40group of people that understand it, but in intricate way.
- 1:10:42You understand the granular details of a phenomenal.
- 1:10:46Now what I want you to do though, if you will, please, I
- 1:10:49want you to stop for a second and I want you to give me the
- 1:10:52other side, OK? You're clearly sold on it.
- 1:10:55You believe in it very passionately, wholeheartedly.
- 1:10:58I'm a buyer. I believe you completely.
- 1:11:00What you're selling. Awesome.
- 1:11:01But you're a smart guy and you know, there's risks to
- 1:11:05everything in this world. What you're saying is
- 1:11:07generational. It's going to change the world.
- 1:11:08And you're you're really, this is very high praise.
- 1:11:11It almost sounds like a God, You know, this, this Bitcoin thing.
- 1:11:14Give me the other side for a moment.
- 1:11:16Tell me what are some of the risks, where something can go
- 1:11:18wrong, and why this could be potentially not the greatest
- 1:11:22thing. So I, where should I start?
- 1:11:24I can, I, can, I can tell you what people always the concerns
- 1:11:27I hear from people is number 1 is volatility.
- 1:11:30How is it a good store of value? If I put in today $1,000,000 and
- 1:11:33I wake up in the morning, it's only 850.
- 1:11:37To that I say that had Bitcoin go gone off and a straight arrow
- 1:11:43like this, like an artist going up, up, up, you and I would
- 1:11:47never be able to get into it because Warren Buffett and Bill
- 1:11:50Gates, they would all buy it up. Such a thing going like this,
- 1:11:53like this. So this volatility is a as a toy
- 1:11:56good for us. It's very good.
- 1:11:58And also it's new and the market is figuring out what is this?
- 1:12:03There's 100 million people in the world trading Bitcoin. 10%
- 1:12:08of these know what they're holding.
- 1:12:10The others are just speculating, wanting to sell.
- 1:12:14They have it. But when it reaches 125, I'm
- 1:12:16selling. That's that's their mindset.
- 1:12:19My mindset is not that because what am I selling it into?
- 1:12:23I'm going to sell my Bitcoin to get the 125 thousand U.S.
- 1:12:26dollars that tomorrow is going to be only have the purchasing
- 1:12:29power of $124,000. This can be printed out of
- 1:12:34nowhere. So when you ask me, the other
- 1:12:36side, I'm trying to the other side is the quantum computers.
- 1:12:39People say there's going to be the new computer was going to be
- 1:12:41able to hack everything. They'll solve it all, and this
- 1:12:44will be something they can hack as well.
- 1:12:45This is one thing, yeah, this is a lot of computer power securing
- 1:12:49this network. But quantum computers can be
- 1:12:51something. But I but I tell them if quantum
- 1:12:54computers will be able to destroy Bitcoin, we have way
- 1:12:58bigger problems before Bitcoin, right?
- 1:13:01They're going to hack the nuclear system.
- 1:13:03They're going to hack bigger problems, you know, cyber
- 1:13:06attack. Do you think that there's
- 1:13:07something to be said about a fad when What's a fad?
- 1:13:10A fad is when a hype, you know, people, they it looks exciting.
- 1:13:15Yeah, that might not be so exciting, but it looks and.
- 1:13:16People like the tulipsright.com bubble.
- 1:13:19Yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:13:20It gains a lot of traction because of it, and it's really
- 1:13:23worthless, right? Like if you look at the NFTS,
- 1:13:25like at a certain point, that's a good thing, right?
- 1:13:27The NFTS were like people were trading pictures that looked
- 1:13:29like, you know. Whatever.
- 1:13:30Yeah, the NFTS was big. For millions of dollars, right?
- 1:13:33Because the fact that people were afraid of missing out
- 1:13:35people, you know, and it jumped very quickly.
- 1:13:37And I think it's too good to be true usually really is
- 1:13:40especially things that gain notoriety very quickly, things
- 1:13:43that really go to the top very quickly, right?
- 1:13:45Could it be that Bitcoin has a lot of that also and that's
- 1:13:48really firing it up and that's giving it a lot of the like
- 1:13:51that's a shot in the arm for Bitcoin is that people are
- 1:13:54talking about and a guy like me is sitting, I'm thinking, am I
- 1:13:56really missing out on something? And I'm going to quickly go on
- 1:13:58and that's going to spike up the right.
- 1:14:00So there's got to be a little bit of that, that it's inflating
- 1:14:03it's real value. Yes, probably.
- 1:14:06And that's why it keeps on going up, because people want to buy
- 1:14:09it in and then it reaches up and then it goes down because people
- 1:14:12want to grab profit. Right.
- 1:14:14So that's, that's the whole game.
- 1:14:15That's what I said. The 90% of people who have
- 1:14:18exposure to Bitcoin, they don't know what they're holding and
- 1:14:21they're. But, but you're right though,
- 1:14:22because let's face it, like the one thing that is not like we
- 1:14:25modernize so many things like plumbing, right?
- 1:14:28Wasn't around many hundreds of years ago where then we we
- 1:14:30changed the course of the world. Our lives change, our quality of
- 1:14:34lives change, right? I feel like the one thing that
- 1:14:36it's very antiquated, like we've been doing this for thousands
- 1:14:39years and we never really modernized, is money.
- 1:14:42What is water we spend the fish? Eyeing and selling, we don't
- 1:14:45know. It's the dawn of time where for
- 1:14:47a product, right, you pay the price and that's how you create
- 1:14:50a free society. You a hug, right?
- 1:14:52That's literally like, this is the one thing that we've
- 1:14:54ignored, like you said. Now we ignored the the education
- 1:14:57system. They don't live in the water.
- 1:14:59For your whole life. And then somebody asks you how
- 1:15:01you like in the water. What's water?
- 1:15:03You don't even realize what it is anymore.
- 1:15:05Tell me now you're getting this metaphor much better than
- 1:15:07before. Now I get the metaphor.
- 1:15:08Of course you are now I guess. You're doing some of the
- 1:15:10research. They don't want you to educate
- 1:15:12yourself. They want the US dollar should
- 1:15:13remain the. And this who is this a big
- 1:15:15problem for? For the for the governments
- 1:15:18around the. World every government that's a
- 1:15:19big problem for. Because that's a big the fact.
- 1:15:22Unless, unless if they can print money, you print your money and
- 1:15:26you buy yourself Bitcoin Exactly.
- 1:15:28You can be a winner. That's why Trump is now putting
- 1:15:30a lot of the reserves in Bitcoin, because he's got to get
- 1:15:32in on it. Yes, because why is America the
- 1:15:34most powerful country in the world?
- 1:15:35Because we're the richest powerful country.
- 1:15:37Why does the richest country? Why does that matter?
- 1:15:39Because you have the biggest military, you could spend the
- 1:15:41most. You're the biggest.
- 1:15:42You got the most guns. You're the strongest man in the
- 1:15:44room. So America needs to remain the
- 1:15:47richest in the world. So I thought, you're going to
- 1:15:49say something better. This is a threat to force.
- 1:15:51Yeah, Why is the US dollar people trading by force?
- 1:15:55You are forced to use it. Why?
- 1:15:56Because it's backed by the military.
- 1:15:58If you're not going to use it, you know what happens.
- 1:15:59Look what happened to Gaddafi. Look what happened to all the
- 1:16:01other places. They want bricks.
- 1:16:03Everybody wants to walk away. the US is it.
- 1:16:05They're forcing you to buy it. Bitcoin is not forced.
- 1:16:08Bitcoin is adoption. You get into it and you start
- 1:16:11enjoying the reaping the benefits.
- 1:16:13Even Putin said in a big derusha, he was saying that I
- 1:16:16can use Bitcoin to bypass U.S. sanctions.
- 1:16:18The US can't do anything about it.
- 1:16:21It's as simple as that. So, people.
- 1:16:23And it's untraceable money as well.
- 1:16:25Now. How true.
- 1:16:26No, no, no. Untraceable to the person
- 1:16:28because it's a wallet. You can trace down the wallet,
- 1:16:30but you don't know who is the owner of the wallet.
- 1:16:33It can be a robot. Right.
- 1:16:34And this is also a big thing. You know how many people can't
- 1:16:37get into the banking system because they don't have a Social
- 1:16:40Security or they don't have a home address?
- 1:16:41People in Africa called people they have, they have a lot of
- 1:16:44talents, but they're working for the Zimbabwe money and their
- 1:16:47governments are inflating their money.
- 1:16:49They can't get out of their thing because their governments
- 1:16:52aren't playing the money. Bitcoin.
- 1:16:53They can get into Bitcoin if you have a cell phone at the
- 1:16:57universal rate. Exactly.
- 1:16:59I can be living in Zimbabwe and providing a service for a guy in
- 1:17:02San Francisco and he's giving me 20,000 sets for this.
- 1:17:05And these 20,000 sets is is global money.
- 1:17:08So even if I live in Zimbabwe, this is a lot of money this
- 1:17:1120,000 sets and the whole world is going to get out of.
- 1:17:14Poverty that's created this. Satoshi Nakoshi.
- 1:17:18Nakamoto. He disappeared.
- 1:17:19Who the heck is this guy? Good question.
- 1:17:20Where the hell is this? Guy, so you gotta understand.
- 1:17:23He sounds to me, but I'm start to pick up on this down.
- 1:17:24I obviously I'm hearing this over 30 minutes.
- 1:17:26This guy is a freaking genius. He is.
- 1:17:29Of course he's like, he's like, he invented something.
- 1:17:31He invented something. He is a genius.
- 1:17:33So where is he? Is he?
- 1:17:35Let's go. He's the most valuable.
- 1:17:36Person in the world right now he has 1.1 million Bitcoin and
- 1:17:39hasn't moved since 2009. You can see the Bitcoin is a he.
- 1:17:43Secured a little trunk for himself, right?
- 1:17:44Now he took it, yeah, he took it for himself, but we don't know
- 1:17:47who he is, so. But he is a real person we do
- 1:17:50for. This we know he's a real person.
- 1:17:51Yeah, He he. An individual, I mean, that's.
- 1:17:53One person, we don't know if it's an individual, if it's a
- 1:17:55group. He's a group.
- 1:17:56It's an e-mail address. Yeah.
- 1:17:57It's that's what we know. It's Satoshi Nakamoto.
- 1:17:59That's how we communicate it. We don't know if it's a group or
- 1:18:02if it's a team or if it's a person, I guess.
- 1:18:04But I if I would put more, I think it's a person.
- 1:18:06I just want to interject for a minute because we're running out
- 1:18:08of time. Yeah, I know about the time I
- 1:18:09no. But I do, I do want to.
- 1:18:10I do want to say. What?
- 1:18:12What is time? Oh my God, here we go.
- 1:18:15I felt like Bitcoin is going to replace time also from the
- 1:18:17sales. But yes, I if I'm buying that
- 1:18:20Bitcoin, I'm buying my time. Yes, I'm buying 40 exactly.
- 1:18:23Where do you have to go right now?
- 1:18:25That's more important than investing more in Bitcoin.
- 1:18:27That's what it sounds like. I gotta be healthy.
- 1:18:29I will not what is delayed. Otherwise, what's anything in
- 1:18:31life worth you got to be physically healthy?
- 1:18:33I agree. But what was I going to say?
- 1:18:35So until 2009 when this Bitcoin came to life from 1971 when
- 1:18:41Nixon got all got us out of the of the gold standard, that's
- 1:18:44when everything went downhill because the money is not backed
- 1:18:47by gold. The second money is not backed
- 1:18:49by gold. You can just print it and you
- 1:18:50don't have any, right? No, there's.
- 1:18:51No collateral on it. It's not worth.
- 1:18:52Nothing. So the US dollars since 1971
- 1:18:55till today I think it the purchasing value dropped 90% and
- 1:18:5895%. You know what that is and we
- 1:19:00don't realize and we're just going with it.
- 1:19:02This is what we have. So between 1971 and 2009, there
- 1:19:06was a lot of smart people knowing that this is the
- 1:19:08monetary system is no good, is no good.
- 1:19:09And they were experimenting all the time with different kind of
- 1:19:14websites and coins and options and the US would shut it down
- 1:19:17and would jail them and would do everything.
- 1:19:20So this Satoshi Nakamoto has had a lot of experience all these
- 1:19:23years before. So he knew one of the things, I
- 1:19:26guess he knew from the beginning that if this is taking off, I'm
- 1:19:29disappearing. Nobody call me, nobody know who
- 1:19:31I am. So in 2011, there was the last
- 1:19:34e-mail where he was communicating with other
- 1:19:36developers. It's out of his hands.
- 1:19:38He created this protocol. He can't even change it.
- 1:19:41So this is how he made it. He made it decentralized that
- 1:19:44this is powered by thousands and thousands of computers globally.
- 1:19:48In 2011, he wrote his last e-mail.
- 1:19:49He was writing something along the lines that yeah, everything
- 1:19:52because between 2009 and 2011, all these developers were coming
- 1:19:56along and they kept on finding problems because you have a lot
- 1:19:58of mind power doing something and there's I don't understand
- 1:20:02this encryption and all these coding.
- 1:20:04But if you do this and then there's a way in for the oh,
- 1:20:06good. And he writes back, thank you
- 1:20:08for bringing this much. And for two years the developing
- 1:20:11it was developing again. And in 2011, he wrote.
- 1:20:14I think Bitcoin is in good hands and like CEO Manana, and that
- 1:20:17was the last that we heard of him.
- 1:20:19There's a lot of theories out there, but he knew because the
- 1:20:22US government wants to shut down Bitcoin, they would go to
- 1:20:24Satoshi Nakamoto and he's anonymous.
- 1:20:27Nobody knows if it's. You know that commercial, they
- 1:20:28always play the most interesting man in the world.
- 1:20:31Dos Eckis, remember that commercial, right?
- 1:20:33He's the most interesting man in the world.
- 1:20:35That's the. Guy for the people following
- 1:20:36Bitcoin, yeah, yeah, but most people don't even know what
- 1:20:38Bitcoin is. I think it's a scam.
- 1:20:39I'm so far of the game, I want to get those going.
- 1:20:42All these, all these, how did we get?
- 1:20:43Here. How did we get here?
- 1:20:45This is. I think I told you when you
- 1:20:46asked me if I can come with the podcast, I told you I don't
- 1:20:48know, we got to speak about Bitcoin.
- 1:20:49This was one of my things. Oh, this one of the even on my
- 1:20:52podcast this. Is I've been waiting wild and it
- 1:20:54happens to be you totally as much as you do, but I have so
- 1:20:57many questions I wanted to ask. Because singing is very OK.
- 1:20:59We're singing. Oh, it is so much.
- 1:21:01Time that's not a waste of time, that's giving you income that
- 1:21:03you can actually invest into, you know, so, so you're not
- 1:21:06sitting on money. You're taking every dollar.
- 1:21:08But you believe in it so much. Yeah.
- 1:21:09Every dollar. The night of the wedding you
- 1:21:11made 18 grand, 17 if it goes to the Bitcoin.
- 1:21:14Well, you're very cute. Well, first of all, let me
- 1:21:16enlighten you. So first of all, if it's I know
- 1:21:18I don't take 18, but that's 18. I would take 9000 for the
- 1:21:20deposit months and months ago. So after the wedding, I would
- 1:21:22only pick up a check of nine. And then from this nine it has
- 1:21:25to go with the agent. Sometimes there's a manager,
- 1:21:27there's a producer and you know, there's money.
- 1:21:29Massive. You give massive Sure, sure you
- 1:21:31have massive money. Everybody give my outshot as
- 1:21:34outside anyway, So you're left with it was a certain amount of
- 1:21:36money. So let's say I'm left with
- 1:21:38$5000. I put it in the bank.
- 1:21:39I got to pay my credit cards. I got to pay the Goita.
- 1:21:41There's stuff you got to pay. But I I don't of course average
- 1:21:44every day. Every day Today I bought
- 1:21:46Bitcoin. I bought 280,000 sets for like
- 1:21:49$250. That's what I bought every day.
- 1:21:51Every day I bought. Look, there are some people that
- 1:21:53invest in stocks, right? And you're putting all your
- 1:21:57investments. I don't.
- 1:21:58I don't look at it as investment.
- 1:21:59Also make the switch to the boys side investments.
- 1:22:02You're looking to grab profits or you get upset when it goes
- 1:22:04down. This is not an investment for
- 1:22:06me. I have investment my house.
- 1:22:08I have some other stuff, maybe some life insurance for my kids.
- 1:22:11I don't look at it as an investment.
- 1:22:12I look at it as a savings vehicle instead of it should be
- 1:22:15in the chase app, I'm putting it into the Ledger live app.
- 1:22:17It should did over there. Sometimes it goes down by more.
- 1:22:21If it goes off I get so excited I.
- 1:22:24Was going to say, so in stocks, when people invest in stocks and
- 1:22:26they want to put investments, they use the terminal lot,
- 1:22:28right? So I'm investing in this, I'm
- 1:22:30investing in that. You can invest in bonds and
- 1:22:32securities. So it seems like you made the
- 1:22:34decision with your 100%. You are a subject matter expert
- 1:22:38on this topic. You think I'm an expert?
- 1:22:40I don't consider I don't an expert you.
- 1:22:41Certainly know more than the average person.
- 1:22:42Yes, but I also know what I don't know you, you don't know
- 1:22:45what is it? I had this guy, I must say, he
- 1:22:48said the message is me. He's like an Israeli, always
- 1:22:50finding ways to make. He said it's come to my
- 1:22:52attention that you're into Bitcoin.
- 1:22:54If there's anything that I can bring you or I, I know Bitcoin,
- 1:22:57he's gonna and like, enlighten me.
- 1:22:58I say, Oh yeah, you know, and I have my notes.
- 1:23:00I have a lot of questions and I write it down.
- 1:23:03I can show it to you. And I have my questions that I
- 1:23:05want to have one day on my podcast.
- 1:23:07And that guy named Charlie Shrem, I think it was a
- 1:23:09Hasidoshi guy. He was the one of the founders.
- 1:23:11He went to jail. You know how much the the
- 1:23:13government would arrest people. They arrested a guy named Ross
- 1:23:17Albright, I think. And Trump just released him with
- 1:23:20an executive order. They put him into jail and there
- 1:23:22was this Silk Road. People went to jail all these
- 1:23:24years. Don't you don't think that the
- 1:23:26government hasn't been trying to hack and get and hackers?
- 1:23:29Everybody's been trying to destroy it.
- 1:23:30They can't. It's out.
- 1:23:32It's it's it's a protocol. You can't stop the Internet.
- 1:23:35You can't stop Bitcoin protocol. You can add layers, you can have
- 1:23:38all kinds of utilities to it from it.
- 1:23:41Robots can use it. It's become AI, it's becoming
- 1:23:43embedded. It's digital money.
- 1:23:45Anyway, what was I saying? What was I saying?
- 1:23:47Savings the guy that you want to have in your pocket.
- 1:23:49So he says, if you want, I can bring you.
- 1:23:51Ask me if I say yeah, I have a few questions.
- 1:23:52So I took my note and I sent it to him.
- 1:23:54Like disgrace. It's all I get.
- 1:23:56And he comes back, he sees all my questions.
- 1:23:59It's like it's it's normal. I understand that if somebody
- 1:24:01doesn't know, it wouldn't understand even what I'm asking.
- 1:24:04And he says, oh, yeah, yeah, I, I don't know, OK, go to somebody
- 1:24:07else. So he's here, like to make a
- 1:24:09buck. People always trying to see how
- 1:24:11they can outsmart the system. But if you know what you have,
- 1:24:14you just buy. I'm putting, I'm putting the
- 1:24:16label back on you and I'm doing it for a reason.
- 1:24:18I've spent at least I'm going to say 40 hours researching this.
- 1:24:22OK. You spent 1000 hours, probably
- 1:24:25more. You're a subject matter expert
- 1:24:26of this topic. You're not only speaking
- 1:24:28passionately about it. The reason why you can sell it
- 1:24:30to Ushi and the reason why I stepped back is because I knew
- 1:24:33this about you. I was excited.
- 1:24:35Watching you transition him from a non believer to a believer
- 1:24:40makes me proud. The same kiss you wanted to give
- 1:24:42him when he finally copped. I wanted to give it to you when
- 1:24:44you started because I knew where you were going.
- 1:24:46And I'm so happy we're here for you to send the message that
- 1:24:49it's a great savings vehicle, obviously.
- 1:24:52Like financial advice to anyone? Yeah, You're just saying what
- 1:24:54works for you. Michael, we have to shift gears
- 1:24:57here further. We have a few minutes left.
- 1:24:58The last few minutes, I wanted to give, like, a series of
- 1:25:00questions, not about Bitcoin, but about you and your life and
- 1:25:03your sinking capacity. Yeah, So they're very multi.
- 1:25:06They'll wrap up the Bitcoin thing.
- 1:25:08Bitcoin is a crypto, right? So cryptocurrency, right, is a
- 1:25:11cryptocurrency. So let's just end this topic
- 1:25:13with this was crypto, right now, this was gold.
- 1:25:16This was crypto. This conversation was
- 1:25:18unbelievable. It was.
- 1:25:19Yeah, I enjoyed it, by the way. Yeah.
- 1:25:20No, we were all in. That enlighten yourself.
- 1:25:24I'm telling to educate me Emma's Dick.
- 1:25:25This is the first thing when I only have two minutes.
- 1:25:28Someone says sell me Bitcoin like the 32nd elevator.
- 1:25:31Yeah, whatever. I always go to the US dollar.
- 1:25:34Does it make sense to you to give away your time, energy,
- 1:25:37effort? You're not seeing your kids.
- 1:25:38You were living for your career. All for this cutting pieces of
- 1:25:40paper that the government can just print at will.
- 1:25:43Does this make sense to you? They're taking not just your
- 1:25:46money. They're taking your energy.
- 1:25:47They're taking your time. They own you.
- 1:25:49They own you. You were slaves.
- 1:25:51And when I used to hear you're a slave to the US government, they
- 1:25:54used to think like, yeah, he's like, it didn't Click to me.
- 1:25:56I was like, yeah, he's talking stuff that I'm never gonna
- 1:25:59understand, but this is the truth.
- 1:26:01This is the first thing I ask. Does it make sense to you to
- 1:26:03work for something your whole life, for some, for something?
- 1:26:06Somebody can just print that will and that's.
- 1:26:08Like the more they print, the more they're devaluing.
- 1:26:10Of course you. Already have in your pocket?
- 1:26:12Whatever you have this. $100 and you decided to print more
- 1:26:15because you overspent in other areas and now you needed more
- 1:26:18money so you print the more You took my $100 in my pocket that I
- 1:26:21work for and now it's worth $90.00 exactly because you are
- 1:26:24in control of something. Exactly what the Romans did,
- 1:26:28they used to print the gold coins and then they wanted to go
- 1:26:30to war, so they took these coins while these people were earning.
- 1:26:33They put 80% gold at 20% metal and then more.
- 1:26:36That's how they used it and then they went poof, how long The
- 1:26:38Romans are not alive. The same thing is going to
- 1:26:40happen to the US. There's only they can push it
- 1:26:42only so far along the. Credit line only goes so far and
- 1:26:45they're going to have to keep printing.
- 1:26:46Printing. I don't have a choice.
- 1:26:47They must print and they will print.
- 1:26:48Move on to USAI. Just want to say this was
- 1:26:50amazing. Amazing.
- 1:26:51This clip of 15 minutes or whatever it was should be
- 1:26:54listened to everyone who's starting to look at savings or
- 1:26:57investing. And of course, it's not used
- 1:27:00every penny that. But the idea that you're saying,
- 1:27:02if I could, by the way, rent the house that I have forever and
- 1:27:05just pay rent, I would do it. The challenge with renting is
- 1:27:07that you can get thrown out. That's the challenge.
- 1:27:09That's why people don't rent and they buy because you control
- 1:27:12where you live. That's what I was thinking when
- 1:27:13you said rent. Of course, if I could say this
- 1:27:15house I'm going to have forever for $5000 with Ingrid, no, I'd
- 1:27:18rather not. Rent if you can buy no.
- 1:27:20No, no, no, no. I'm agreeing with him that I
- 1:27:21would rather rent if I knew I can stick with this house
- 1:27:23forever. Why?
- 1:27:24You don't want to pay for the boiler?
- 1:27:25You don't want to pay for anything.
- 1:27:26Headache. I know people who rent.
- 1:27:28Yeah, ready to take my money and save it.
- 1:27:30I'm not sure what's happening here, but it's irrelevant I.
- 1:27:32Should I should tell you something I didn't mention
- 1:27:34before? I have a guy, a friend he he
- 1:27:36says he will buy my house and I can stay living there and I will
- 1:27:40pay him rent. Lifetime contract I it never got
- 1:27:43there because my wife said go away we're not selling anything
- 1:27:46so it never got there but I wouldn't have to move out right?
- 1:27:48Friend told me he has the money then do it.
- 1:27:50I have to get my wife there, but it's also my I don't.
- 1:27:54Put in on. Me some questions on him you
- 1:27:56must who is she? Schwartz come in this.
- 1:27:59Is your industry this is? With the music.
- 1:28:01Yeah, the music. This is really where your sweet
- 1:28:03spot is. You must enjoy it because you do
- 1:28:05it for a living, right? Who's the best all time Jewish
- 1:28:11singer? No question, hands down in your
- 1:28:13mind, who gets that award? Who's the number one overall
- 1:28:18best singer with the best voice? You know, just the way he
- 1:28:20carried himself and his his performances over who's your
- 1:28:23best? Who's your favorite?
- 1:28:25So you just said three things. Performances.
- 1:28:27The voice, the charismatic. Yeah, all boxes that they have
- 1:28:30to check who gets the highest score between.
- 1:28:31Them even the one who will get the highest score, he might
- 1:28:33excel at one thing at 60, but the other thing is not so good.
- 1:28:36So it's everybody has a little bit of everything.
- 1:28:39So even if even if I have my favorite, it's not going to be
- 1:28:42my favorite here and all the others.
- 1:28:44Who's the goat? You know what the goat is?
- 1:28:45The greatest of all time. Who's the goat?
- 1:28:47So, so if you're going to ask me who it's who moves me, whom's
- 1:28:50music do I play and it moves me, it's more of heaven, David,
- 1:28:54that's. That's so you still listen like
- 1:28:57you. You'll put on a Motor Heaven
- 1:28:58David song. You want to hear something even
- 1:28:59more fascinating? When I was growing up, I didn't
- 1:29:01know the difference between Motor Heaven, David and Avram
- 1:29:03Freed. They didn't know who is who.
- 1:29:05Does that make sense? No.
- 1:29:06What do you mean by that? I didn't know.
- 1:29:08You didn't. They sounded the same.
- 1:29:09They sounded. The same I was growing up that
- 1:29:11they were Goyisha singers I'm from.
- 1:29:13Is that what the community were telling their kids at the time?
- 1:29:16For sure. When was big and they weren't
- 1:29:19Cobra? They were.
- 1:29:20But they wasn't the same basket as Kalba David and I'm from
- 1:29:23free. They were telling you when you
- 1:29:25were younger that they're going and like not.
- 1:29:26Going but they're we don't we don't we don't listen to their
- 1:29:29of it. We don't bring in in our houses
- 1:29:31their music. It's not from enough.
- 1:29:33Exactly. Yes, it's not considered.
- 1:29:34It's not heimish, so you have to.
- 1:29:35Sneak listening like sneak around listening to their.
- 1:29:38Music. I guess so, but my mother was
- 1:29:39from Australia. She didn't have this whole
- 1:29:41mindset. So at home we had whatever.
- 1:29:43But in the community, that's what they were.
- 1:29:44Yeah, and how did they were knew about the whole Schnitzler?
- 1:29:46You think, by the way, that's good.
- 1:29:47That's isn't that terrible? Because think about it, They
- 1:29:49were hiding that from their kids.
- 1:29:50And then they realized when they listen to it, this is what they
- 1:29:52were hiding for me. Oh my God, what else were they
- 1:29:54hiding from me, right? And that's what could have
- 1:29:56created a big bubble. That you know when.
- 1:29:58And people wouldn't know a difference between making a
- 1:29:59cotton the holler and, you know, doing a real what else like that
- 1:30:03exactly? They don't know the the
- 1:30:04different everything. Is the trust their parents lost
- 1:30:07their trust? Yeah.
- 1:30:08So that sionis was a big thing by us in Kitty.
- 1:30:10So remember that the the Medina Sionis sionis so and and then
- 1:30:15there's Lucian harder. Luciana is a big, big, big
- 1:30:17avida. God hates Lucian harder Lucian.
- 1:30:20Everybody speak Lucian. It's OK, but if you speak
- 1:30:22Hebrew, what's. The devil, Yeah.
- 1:30:25Who's the next big singer? Who's up and come?
- 1:30:27Who we watching out for? Who?
- 1:30:29Who do we need to be prepared? What I'm thinking if I say this
- 1:30:31a guy. No, I can see this.
- 1:30:33Why you do that. Anybody.
- 1:30:34Anybody in the Jewish world that's coming up that.
- 1:30:37I, I, I, I know and I'm thinking, I'm excited about.
- 1:30:39I don't know if. He's around the corner, is about
- 1:30:41to do big things. But I don't know if I don't know
- 1:30:43if it's people who are going to accept it.
- 1:30:44I can tell you I see, I I see people who are talented.
- 1:30:46I think they should have the opportunity.
- 1:30:49Yeah, I should name a guy. Yeah, his name is Rosenberg.
- 1:30:51Heidi Rosenberg. Yiddy Rosenberg.
- 1:30:54But he calls himself Hidey. I don't know Hidey, but his name
- 1:30:57is Edel. He's young.
- 1:30:59Yeah, he was. He played the music.
- 1:31:01He plays piano. He's.
- 1:31:02Absolutely in love with him. I call him the Jewish Elton
- 1:31:05John. I didn't even know.
- 1:31:06Yeah. So he has a lot of.
- 1:31:07Brand new though this. Has.
- 1:31:09A certain hidden talent he finds good talent and brings it to his
- 1:31:16forefront of the community. You know he's he's brought you
- 1:31:20to us in our community. I.
- 1:31:21Love, I love the community. And no, for real, he has.
- 1:31:24And he's, he's done it for Ellie Levin, even from years ago, who,
- 1:31:26by the way, Ellie gets a huge mozzle.
- 1:31:28Yeah, he got engaged. He got engaged.
- 1:31:29I'll talk. To you, Ellie.
- 1:31:31Very nice, very nice. Beautiful.
- 1:31:32And he's done it to other people as well, and he's doing it now.
- 1:31:35Tahiti. And I sat there and me and my
- 1:31:37friends were mesmerized. Wow, individual he is I agree
- 1:31:42with. You, I would love to see some
- 1:31:43clips. Michael, you have some clips
- 1:31:44you. Could I have clips we're going
- 1:31:45to share? Who's this guy?
- 1:31:46I see the clips of him, I see Instagram, I see different
- 1:31:49places. He has this very hoarse voice,
- 1:31:51just like this long pace. An interesting guy.
- 1:31:54He dances a lot and he moves and he's like, he looks wild, almost
- 1:31:57like he's out of control, like a rock'n'roll type of guy.
- 1:32:00Either Joey Newcomb or Zusha. No, no, none of those guys.
- 1:32:03No ball, though, not There's another guy who dances and yeah,
- 1:32:05yeah, he looks. He's a healthcare.
- 1:32:07Event and he also dance, break, dance and.
- 1:32:09Stuff he doesn't break dance he does like I don't know what his
- 1:32:12name. Is, I think, like he takes his
- 1:32:14shoes off. Yeah.
- 1:32:15Around the stage. Exactly.
- 1:32:16He break dances, and he was. There, I think Yankloo.
- 1:32:19Yankloo. That's it.
- 1:32:20Yankloo. That's the guy.
- 1:32:21He's also very. Talented, yeah, but I think he
- 1:32:23should be getting bigger than he is.
- 1:32:24I don't think he's getting. He's more.
- 1:32:25Entertainer. He's not very talented.
- 1:32:28He's talented as an entertainer. Yeah.
- 1:32:30Dumps around the hype. Half the job of singing.
- 1:32:33No, no, no. You have to have a special
- 1:32:34voice. Both.
- 1:32:35He doesn't have a special voice. That's right.
- 1:32:37He has a cool vibe. He knows all the songs, yeah.
- 1:32:40All songs, you know? Yeah.
- 1:32:41He's a cool vibe. You want him to hype any party
- 1:32:44he does. He's a, he's a good.
- 1:32:45He's an amazing, amazing. Yeah, Yankelu.
- 1:32:48I'm not putting him at a concert, you know, to on the
- 1:32:50lineup, but he's the kind of guy that you know you want to have
- 1:32:52at a bar mitzvah. Yeah, work the crowd.
- 1:32:54Work the crowd who do. You enjoy singing with.
- 1:32:56That's to me. That's what I've been thinking.
- 1:32:58Of oh, good question, so enjoying.
- 1:32:59I would love to sing with Omar Adam just to feel like, wow, I
- 1:33:02made it on a stage with Omar Adam.
- 1:33:03So I would enjoy that. Right, But you're asking more of
- 1:33:06like enjoy about Hassana? Harmony, you vibe well.
- 1:33:11Hershey Wein bigger. Hershey Wein bigger.
- 1:33:13Beautiful. Yes, yes.
- 1:33:15I guess if I have to sing together with somebody, I would
- 1:33:17choose to sing with a composer rather than with another fellow
- 1:33:21singer. But the composer, it's, you
- 1:33:23know, he sings it with a more depth and he always has
- 1:33:26different angles how he's singing it.
- 1:33:28Then he knows the song better. He knows how to harmonize.
- 1:33:31When it's two singers, everybody wants to get that viral moment
- 1:33:34right and everybody doing each. Other exactly you don't want to
- 1:33:37share the stage. Exactly.
- 1:33:39In the same time, you want to be respectful.
- 1:33:41In the same time you don't want to look.
- 1:33:43Like the spotlight you know you have.
- 1:33:44A We're all human. You know, you have a video on
- 1:33:47YouTube, It's got like eleven, 12 million views.
- 1:33:49Right. Maha broka Maha.
- 1:33:50Broka, was that your big song? Was that?
- 1:33:53Yeah, that's your biggest song to date.
- 1:33:55Probably well would be a big song, but the biggest video and
- 1:33:59the most ground I've gained with the young people I would I think
- 1:34:03great. Song, by the way.
- 1:34:04He. Came up.
- 1:34:06With that song. So he wrote the whole thing.
- 1:34:07No. So it started out, It started
- 1:34:10out, it started out and then it says, you know the song.
- 1:34:21Sure. And then it went.
- 1:34:29It got, it evolved and it evolved.
- 1:34:31And one interesting anecdote is the word, the trivia, whatever
- 1:34:35the word is. While we were composing this
- 1:34:37song, we didn't know what we're doing.
- 1:34:39And I took a selfie Instagram, I put it out and a few days later
- 1:34:47she tells me that you know that. And that guy guy in the business
- 1:34:51replied to him on a story like the seriously can't you like
- 1:34:57compose some quality music something of that mean were
- 1:35:00critiquing this Yeah like pooping it and this it's so good
- 1:35:05for me financially and that yeah I think I.
- 1:35:08Mean this was the first claim to fame for you?
- 1:35:10Really. And every kid knows the song.
- 1:35:12I mean every. A lot of adults, a lot of people
- 1:35:14know it. It's.
- 1:35:15A big, big song. Yeah, I got 11 million views.
- 1:35:17I guess, I guess it's not. That's by the way, not just
- 1:35:20Jews. That's that's got to be very
- 1:35:21diverse. Even in the second.
- 1:35:22To get that many views. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:35:24But to say it was my breakout moment when people got to know
- 1:35:26me, it was like when Bitcoin will reach a million, you know
- 1:35:30what I mean? A lot of people are going to
- 1:35:31come online, but the people came online.
- 1:35:34When you say the the breakout of fame came in 2015, I did a cover
- 1:35:39of a Yossi Green song and that's what that's when it became the
- 1:35:42change. I started taking from 11 to 1400
- 1:35:45and I found Naftali Schnitzer, the producer.
- 1:35:47I put out a video so nonchalant. So without any expectations, the
- 1:35:53whole band was 5 pieces. And years later I've Rumi
- 1:35:56Schreiber from Freilich would tell me that he wasn't bachlal
- 1:35:59attracted to do this clip because it wasn't an attractive
- 1:36:02band for him. He wants to put out a clip.
- 1:36:04Should be a big brass action and some strings and a percussion
- 1:36:08and a choir. That's a production.
- 1:36:10It wants to put out the front. By me it was 1 saxophone and
- 1:36:14then the band, the drum, the bass, the guitar and the keys.
- 1:36:17That's it. Nothing.
- 1:36:18And they had like, such a fart back in the day, like a jihad.
- 1:36:21Remember they had a big sign in the back of the band he just
- 1:36:25pulled. Our background jihad not just
- 1:36:27us, but anyways. That all the other bands in
- 1:36:29Israel, there was a thing to have a big fat, like a black
- 1:36:31schmalt in the back with writing.
- 1:36:33You remember it was a stage, another green screen.
- 1:36:35Yeah, they got rid of it. Yeah, so we had stand up
- 1:36:38comedian who were maybe one day very long.
- 1:36:41Maybe one I'm not ruling that I've never been about.
- 1:36:43No, never. But I'm not ruling it out.
- 1:36:45I think entertainment doesn't have to come just from music.
- 1:36:48It's a so it could be storytelling, stand up
- 1:36:50comedians. There's a lot of ways to
- 1:36:51entertain. A lot of ways, but I want to
- 1:36:52finish. What was I saying?
- 1:36:54So I did this cover from Reboin and now for me, Shabba says that
- 1:36:56he wouldn't put it out. So I did it.
- 1:36:58I didn't even think it's gonna go anywhere.
- 1:37:01I was just happy. I didn't even Mandy Hershka,
- 1:37:02which was was Freilich band. You never Mandy Hershka.
- 1:37:05So he so he doesn't work for Freilich.
- 1:37:06He has his own band now. But back then he was there and I
- 1:37:09I was scared to communicate with him.
- 1:37:11I there was a third guy named Yankee Faketa and he was like
- 1:37:14the roadie and I would talk to him and he's going to talk to
- 1:37:16Mandy. And he told me, don't worry,
- 1:37:17Mandy, he's a good guy. I was like so new and we put out
- 1:37:21this clip and it took off because it was it was organic.
- 1:37:25I wasn't trying to copy. I wasn't looking.
- 1:37:28I was just, you know, OK, I'm gonna put out a clip.
- 1:37:30This is what we're going to do. And it was the second time I did
- 1:37:33this song. I did it a few months before.
- 1:37:35And we prepared. I called the video guy, and
- 1:37:37there was a big band. Taka was in the palace with a
- 1:37:39choir. And I did this song.
- 1:37:41I wasn't feeling so good. And I scrapped it.
- 1:37:44And the video guy tells me, don't just go in the studio,
- 1:37:46redo it. And I said no, I needed to be
- 1:37:49organic the next class. And I was like, boy, me, it was
- 1:37:51Freylich was a small band. But I told Mandy, we're going to
- 1:37:54do it there. I called again, the multi angle
- 1:37:57his name is. He took the video was nothing
- 1:38:00big. We put it out.
- 1:38:01That was my first big break where everybody, especially in
- 1:38:04the business, were OK. There's new, something fresh.
- 1:38:09And Mukushnister was saying in interviews that would make me
- 1:38:12feel very good. Who always there's new singers,
- 1:38:15But you just asked me and he would say, Shmili Ungar, this
- 1:38:18guy stands out. Yeah.
- 1:38:19And I felt I would call him up and I would.
- 1:38:21Yeah. I felt so good when he said
- 1:38:23that. That's great validation.
- 1:38:24Chris Nester was considered to be a star.
- 1:38:27Especially by the Casita show. Especially the Casita show.
- 1:38:29He he was one of my favorite singers.
- 1:38:31He was growing up. When I listen to Jewish music,
- 1:38:33he by the way, I'll never forget his song.
- 1:38:37I Can't Sing it. I'm not even going to try.
- 1:38:39But the song that he made about the Pecola, you know, in the
- 1:38:44closet, if everybody would, you know, look at the world's
- 1:38:47problems, everybody would end up taking.
- 1:38:49Maybe, maybe tell the story for the audience.
- 1:38:50Tell, give, give a go, brush. A beautiful story, very
- 1:38:52beautiful. It's about this guy that's
- 1:38:53struggling, a guy that's having a really, really hard time and
- 1:38:55he's complaining and he's like, why do I have it so hard?
- 1:38:57Why do I have it so difficult? Why can't I just be like other
- 1:39:00people that have a lot easier than me and sometimes he's.
- 1:39:03Complaining to that app he's. A dream and he goes up.
- 1:39:05He doesn't have a dream. No, he goes to his app and he
- 1:39:07complaints. He complaints, right?
- 1:39:09Yeah. So that ever tells us.
- 1:39:10I don't know what? Come into my room in the back.
- 1:39:13I will show you a lot of backliff.
- 1:39:14OK, I was OK. That's basically a dream.
- 1:39:16I'm saying you. Know, yeah.
- 1:39:17I I think the rabbit had a closet with the world's problems
- 1:39:20in there. I guess it was a dream.
- 1:39:21I I was using it metaphorically. I was saying you're right, yes.
- 1:39:24All right, go ahead, go ahead. But yeah, I was just worried
- 1:39:27you're going to mess up. I don't want you to mess it up
- 1:39:29it. Would be exactly so good, almost
- 1:39:30messed. It up I'll be No, he has a.
- 1:39:33Dream, you know, he goes into this deep slumber, you know, and
- 1:39:37he, he, he beats his rebel over there and his rabbit says, look,
- 1:39:40I know you've been complaining to me a lot.
- 1:39:41Today is your lucky day. I'm actually going to take you
- 1:39:44to a room where they store all the world's problems and you're
- 1:39:48going to be able to choose. We don't let people normally do
- 1:39:51this, but you can choose what you.
- 1:39:52Want It's a lucky day. And he's like, wow, he's excited
- 1:39:54and, you know, and he goes into the into the room and he starts
- 1:39:57going through it. He starts, you know, going
- 1:39:59through each person's packages and seeing how this person has
- 1:40:02this kind of life where he has good things and he has bad
- 1:40:03things. I think I can do better than
- 1:40:05this. And then he goes, and by the
- 1:40:07time he finishes. He doesn't even realize he ends
- 1:40:10up picking his own life all over again.
- 1:40:12He ended up picking his own thing.
- 1:40:14Because at the end of the day, we always think the grass is
- 1:40:16greener on the other side. We really do.
- 1:40:18We really do. And we don't know what goes on
- 1:40:19behind closed doors. We only know about the things we
- 1:40:21see. What the other people let us.
- 1:40:23See what the other people? Let us see.
- 1:40:24Yeah, we see what the other people let us.
- 1:40:26See. Exactly.
- 1:40:26And that was a very big lesson. The Lexus that we started
- 1:40:30before. So I know when it's time to
- 1:40:32finish the party. Yeah, he.
- 1:40:33Made it again and with what you saw the story the.
- 1:40:35Song isn't the. Story that I heard about the
- 1:40:37Pakala that he was looking in this room and he saw all these
- 1:40:39kinds of bigs bags, small bags, white bags, black bags and but
- 1:40:42the chorus saw something a little small.
- 1:40:43He says that one, I want that one.
- 1:40:45It says this one, this is your package to begin with.
- 1:40:47But I will look again all this challenge.
- 1:40:49I'm sorry, how does the song go? That's a quiz.
- 1:40:51It's a long. Beeper song.
- 1:40:52It's a long song because it's. A story.
- 1:40:54I don't want to say 10 minutes. It's one of what's the tune?
- 1:40:56I don't know. You don't know the Pecola song.
- 1:40:58You speak a thing. Right, not really I.
- 1:41:00You could. Understand.
- 1:41:01I did it on Purim once for a day, yeah.
- 1:41:03I'll send you the song and then you can.
- 1:41:05I thought you're gonna start singing.
- 1:41:06It. Yeah, Yeah.
- 1:41:07I thought you're gonna start. Singing it for me.
- 1:41:09I Can't Sing it. I can't.
- 1:41:10Even though I don't know the words, I wouldn't, I don't know.
- 1:41:12I think testament to the success of this specific episode is how
- 1:41:17long the time has gone. I'm have missed calls from my
- 1:41:20personal instructor. Where are you?
- 1:41:22Where are. You tell you gotta go by that.
- 1:41:24I'm assuming it's then I'm afraid of it's my personal.
- 1:41:26I was gonna say I'm assuming it's not the first time you got
- 1:41:29missed calls, so it happens. It happens.
- 1:41:31No, but a double shift I moved. On like you never missed the gym
- 1:41:34before. I didn't, but I moved off the
- 1:41:35gym today so I can we can work out a pocket.
- 1:41:38He asked me. So I'll talk to Mike a little
- 1:41:39bit. But it's OK.
- 1:41:40It was a good schmizz. And if there's gonna be one
- 1:41:42person that's gonna go out and do their research on Bitcoin,
- 1:41:45I'm very serious. You're going to be the first
- 1:41:48millionaire in your family. You might be able to change a
- 1:41:50lot of things there. Don't ever sell it.
- 1:41:52Just keep it. Yeah.
- 1:41:52But it might not. It might not, you know, happen
- 1:41:54in the next 5-10. Years.
- 1:41:55No, you have to have a long time horizon, so you might not. 2040
- 1:41:59people ask me I should buy for them Bitcoin because they don't
- 1:42:01know the blah blah blah. So I take their money and I buy
- 1:42:04Bitcoin. I send them back a message you
- 1:42:05have by me 500,000 set. Very nice of you, but.
- 1:42:09Yeah, it is. It is.
- 1:42:10I think it is. And oh, and I write them back
- 1:42:12that you have me 500,000 bitcoins and you don't you don't
- 1:42:15ask it back until 2040. And if you ask me that before
- 1:42:192040, you get half. Really.
- 1:42:21Yeah, because this is the I'm not trying.
- 1:42:22To make any money on this. Wow, I don't want to make if
- 1:42:25they're going to sell it before I'll be, I guess I'll make some
- 1:42:27of the sets. You know what you're learning.
- 1:42:29But also I'm I'm paying for all these transaction fees and when
- 1:42:32they're going to take it out, if there's going to be a tax, I'm
- 1:42:33going to be paying the tax. So it's all things together.
- 1:42:36I just want you to know, I don't know if a matter of place saying
- 1:42:38this, but your grandfather would be proud.
- 1:42:40You're making them your partner. You're forcing them to be in
- 1:42:42with you. Yeah.
- 1:42:42You're giving them something. You're paying it forward and
- 1:42:44you're paying it forward. Grandfather put you in business
- 1:42:47and started. But my grandfather saved cash,
- 1:42:50one of his biggest, biggest mistake.
- 1:42:52He would tell me, he would take me to the attic and would show
- 1:42:54me the the cash. And I never told this to
- 1:42:57anybody, not even for my family. He would show me boxes of cash
- 1:43:01of dollar bills and they were crumbling, they were falling
- 1:43:03apart, they were rotten. And he says, OK, this I can't
- 1:43:06use anymore. Wow, look what I have over
- 1:43:08there. He used to show me he used to
- 1:43:09collect stamps and he was a very big cash guy because in his time
- 1:43:13when he was growing up, cash was actually worth something.
- 1:43:15And he was always telling me like the like the like save,
- 1:43:18save cash, cash, cash. He wasn't even in the in the
- 1:43:21mindset of putting down a down payment of 100 grand and paying
- 1:43:24a mortgage. He said you save 500 grand and
- 1:43:26you get yourself the house. This was his mindset.
- 1:43:28So when it comes to business, he wasn't he doesn't have the mind
- 1:43:33that I have when it comes to business.
- 1:43:35For one thing, guy what was Mcgethered take 2250I don't
- 1:43:39share that mindset. Cash.
- 1:43:41I hate cash. I used to love it.
- 1:43:43I hate it when it came to buy my house and I I tell the guy she
- 1:43:46doesn't wasn't interested. I just want to see the numbers
- 1:43:48in the bank. I have to find a loan and I'm a
- 1:43:50tuna because Cash, Cash it was because.
- 1:43:53The government did a decent job with auditing so many people and
- 1:43:55then cash doesn't have value like it used to.
- 1:43:57So you pay cash for your construction and I'll give you
- 1:44:0050% cash, get a 10% reduction. You don't have that anymore.
- 1:44:03Everything is. Cash is like fish, I tell.
- 1:44:05Yeah, but I want to say one thing in the moment.
- 1:44:07I tell people cash is like fish, fish.
- 1:44:09The moment you kill it, it starts going bad.
- 1:44:11When you get paid in cash, you got to spend it because as soon
- 1:44:15as it's laying by you until the way to the grocery, it's getting
- 1:44:18devalued. It's true, Mama.
- 1:44:20Love your passion and your knowledge about Bitcoin.
- 1:44:22Yeah, and it was so much there's.
- 1:44:24So much, so much more to go. We're going to continue.
- 1:44:26Another I think this is our 42nd episode.
- 1:44:29Oh 42 I was going to add how you put a 2A week 3A.
- 1:44:32Week. Every week.
- 1:44:33You've been doing it to 42 weeks almost a year, July of because I
- 1:44:36started before you and I'm now up only to 50.
- 1:44:40Really. Yeah, do it every week.
- 1:44:41And once and once every two weeks, twice a month.
- 1:44:44We do once every week and it's our 42nd episode.
- 1:44:46All right. I think we only missed one week
- 1:44:48so far, which was the perm weaker.
- 1:44:49Perm. OK, that's good.
- 1:44:50We actually got one we. Missed like one time when you
- 1:44:53guys. Were, you know, this is this is
- 1:44:54the top 1% of podcast. You know, you have, you haven't
- 1:44:57done the research, No. So 90% of podcasts open up.
- 1:45:00Yeah, go to three, not more than three that dies down the 90%
- 1:45:06that's the 10% that's left 90% of that goes till 10 and 1% of
- 1:45:11that goes past 2121. If you go past 21, that's when
- 1:45:14you the top 1%, yeah, so we're by 4243.
- 1:45:16Look at us. Look at you 1% I'm.
- 1:45:19Very proud of us. Finally, we're part of the 1%.
- 1:45:22Anyway, we were going to say the compliment.
- 1:45:23My comment is just 42nd episode. He's like, that's not that's a
- 1:45:27good deal. 42 episodes in, this was my favorite episode.
- 1:45:33That's very nice, this. Really was because because this
- 1:45:36was very spontaneous. I did not see this coming.
- 1:45:38I got hit like a freight train. When you started talking about
- 1:45:41Bitcoin, I almost didn't want to hear you.
- 1:45:43Out. I know you would try to drive
- 1:45:44and he helped me, he said. He did he he kept me quiet and
- 1:45:48he kept me open minded to listening.
- 1:45:49But I was like, you're a singer, what do you know about Bitcoin?
- 1:45:53And I didn't want to listen. And then I'm so happy that I did
- 1:45:56because I actually learned something today in a really big
- 1:45:58way. I learned means a lot to me.
- 1:45:59And you also explained it in a very simple fashion.
- 1:46:02I did that. I was able.
- 1:46:03To. I always think that I'm not, so
- 1:46:04no. You explained it really well.
- 1:46:06OK, you really I'm. Because I'm still learning.
- 1:46:08I have so many. When you told me, told me the
- 1:46:09opposite. I said OK, what am I gonna do?
- 1:46:11And I still started. Yeah, you were great.
- 1:46:13You were great. And and I got to know you.
- 1:46:15I feel like a little bit got to understand your personality and
- 1:46:18who you are. If you Bobby it and I was almost
- 1:46:20related. We're probably all yeah, let's
- 1:46:23spend another 10 minutes. I probably.
- 1:46:24I love it. I appreciate your time.
- 1:46:26Yeah, we're. Finishing it up with the damn
- 1:46:27time. Already I wanna thank our
