- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:05Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus at the ten yard line. Second to day
- 0:08Speaker 1: three wide receivers now in motion as puppis left to right,
- 0:12Speaker 1: Julius Jones a single setback Matt pumpfecks looking at the
- 0:14Speaker 1: goal line. He throws it into the end zone. Touchdown.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Say Hawks, it's Michael Bumpas with a diving catching the
- 0:21Speaker 1: end zone. Our ten yard touchdown reception for Bumpus, and
- 0:25Speaker 1: the kid out of Washington State has found himself a
- 0:29Speaker 1: place on this team. Powered by Seahawks dot Com. Welcome
- 0:34Speaker 1: to Hawk Talk Preview Week ten. The Seahawks are coming
- 0:37Speaker 1: off of bye, Russell Wilson is getting healthy. They gotta
- 0:40Speaker 1: go to lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Before we get into that, here is Nasa Choby with
- 0:45Speaker 1: the injury updates. Thanks bump Well. The biggest news of
- 0:48Speaker 1: the week is obviously Russell Wilson back at practice. It
- 0:52Speaker 1: has been a long month since he broke that finger
- 0:54Speaker 1: in the second half against the Rams on October seventh.
- 0:57Speaker 1: He's not officially back on the fifty three man roster,
- 0:59Speaker 1: so on any of the injury reports you see this week,
- 1:02Speaker 1: but is looking great at practice according to head coach
- 1:04Speaker 1: Pet Carroll, which bodes well for him to be back
- 1:06Speaker 1: under center against the Packers on Sunday. More great news
- 1:09Speaker 1: as well that Chris Carson also made his return to
- 1:11Speaker 1: practice after missing the last four games with a neck injury.
- 1:15Speaker 1: A week of work, you know, and and uh, we're like,
- 1:18Speaker 1: like we always talked about it's the one day at
- 1:20Speaker 1: a time thing, and uh, you know, he'll get banged
- 1:22Speaker 1: around a little bit tomorrow, and but just see how
- 1:26Speaker 1: he responds to it. And that's it's pretty important to
- 1:30Speaker 1: get a good beat on this one. He'll feel good
- 1:33Speaker 1: physically running around and all that because he's been he's
- 1:34Speaker 1: in great shape and he's been working really hard. So
- 1:37Speaker 1: just how how he responds, saml thing, and you know,
- 1:40Speaker 1: how his body reacts to the workload. Another guy to
- 1:42Speaker 1: look out for this week is dst Reach as he
- 1:44Speaker 1: hopes to return to action for the first time since
- 1:46Speaker 1: Week one against the Colts. D is coming out, you know,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and and uh he's ready to go full speed, and
- 1:52Speaker 1: he didn't win Monday, and he looks good today to
- 1:54Speaker 1: get going, so h we'll see where we can fit
- 1:56Speaker 1: him in as well all right, those are the injury updates.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Now it's signed for the Seahawks next opponent coming off
- 2:01Speaker 1: the by the Green Bay Packers. What's untapped? What's untapped?
- 2:09Speaker 1: Seahawks are headed to lambeau Field to take on those
- 2:12Speaker 1: Green Bay Packers. Lambeau Field, for all you Seahawks fans,
- 2:15Speaker 1: has been a house of horrors for the Seahawks. They
- 2:17Speaker 1: have not won in nine straight games. This Packer team
- 2:20Speaker 1: is seven and two. They had some pretty impressive wins.
- 2:23Speaker 1: They started the season after getting blown out by the
- 2:25Speaker 1: New Orleans Saints thirty eight to three at home or
- 2:28Speaker 1: on the road. Excuse me, Aaron Rodgers had a really
- 2:31Speaker 1: tough day. The Packers looked awful that day. A lot
- 2:34Speaker 1: has changed since then. After that game, they won seven
- 2:37Speaker 1: in a row. Bet Detroit, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago,
- 2:42Speaker 1: Washington football team as well as the Arizona Cardinals handed
- 2:45Speaker 1: them their first loss on Thursday Night football. Last week,
- 2:49Speaker 1: they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in a tough game. Obviously,
- 2:52Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers was not there, so hop into their last game.
- 2:55Speaker 1: A lot of drama bump in Green Bay. The last
- 2:58Speaker 1: couple of weeks, Man so starting back Aaron Rodgers obviously
- 3:01Speaker 1: tested positive for COVID nineteen, revealing that the quarterback was
- 3:04Speaker 1: in fact not vaccinated and would have to miss a
- 3:06Speaker 1: minimum of ten days the earliest the former MVP can
- 3:09Speaker 1: return to action. He's on Saturday, the day before they
- 3:12Speaker 1: take on the Seahawks. While his status is in one
- 3:14Speaker 1: hundred percent, we can assume the man's gonna be back
- 3:17Speaker 1: and out there to clear up a couple of things.
- 3:19Speaker 1: He does not need to pass a COVID test or
- 3:22Speaker 1: return to action after those ten days. As long as
- 3:24Speaker 1: he's symptom free, he's able to return to the field. Now, Bump.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Last week, we'll get into what they did against the Chiefs.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Jordan Love made his heavily anticipated first NFL start, and
- 3:35Speaker 1: the Chiefs wanted defensive battle. It was ugly, Bump. What
- 3:37Speaker 1: did you see from Jordan Love? Jordan Love, he did okay,
- 3:40Speaker 1: but he looked like a guy who hasn't been out there.
- 3:42Speaker 1: He was nineteen to thirty four, one hundred and ninety yards,
- 3:44Speaker 1: one touchdown, one interception. He just looked young and he
- 3:48Speaker 1: made some plays. You see some potential there, but he
- 3:50Speaker 1: did look young. Jordan Love was under pressure almost every
- 3:53Speaker 1: pass attempt and it was only sacked one time. Though
- 3:55Speaker 1: we know that he's mobile. He got the full ball
- 3:57Speaker 1: out of his hands quickly, just didn't make a lot
- 3:59Speaker 1: of plays. Randall led the Packers and receiving with three
- 4:02Speaker 1: receptions for fifty yards. Aaron Jones and any J. Dillon
- 4:05Speaker 1: combined for twenty carries ninety nine yards no touchdowns. Defensively,
- 4:09Speaker 1: the Packers play well, holding Patrick Mahomes a twenty of
- 4:12Speaker 1: thirty seven one hundred and sixty six yards and one touchdown. Now,
- 4:16Speaker 1: as we haven't seen games like this from Pat Mahomes ever,
- 4:19Speaker 1: like this is the first year where he looks like
- 4:21Speaker 1: a human being and not this five hundred million dollar
- 4:24Speaker 1: man that we're used to see him. It's unbelievable to
- 4:26Speaker 1: see when I'm seeing these box scores, when he's throwing
- 4:28Speaker 1: for under two hundred yards, he's turning the ball over
- 4:31Speaker 1: every other game. He's had more turnovers this year than
- 4:33Speaker 1: he had all the last season and the year before that.
- 4:36Speaker 1: So it's it's wild to see. I don't know, we'll
- 4:39Speaker 1: go back and forth on this about the Packers defense
- 4:41Speaker 1: or whatnot, but the Chiefs do not look They look
- 4:44Speaker 1: mortal and It's not just Patrick Mahomes, it's everybody. They're
- 4:47Speaker 1: not stopping anybody on defense. They look average as an offense.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Even with Tyreek Hill and Kelsey and all the weapons
- 4:54Speaker 1: that they got over there, they're not looking great. And
- 4:56Speaker 1: it's it's funny. I guess misery loves company. And the
- 4:59Speaker 1: Seahawks had their struggles this year, and everyone talked about
- 5:01Speaker 1: how bad our offenses and on this and that. Well,
- 5:04Speaker 1: other teams will have amazing players, head coach, championship pedigree,
- 5:09Speaker 1: former Super Bowl champion and Supero last two years are
- 5:11Speaker 1: also struggling. So it can be bad everywhere, not just
- 5:14Speaker 1: in Seattle, and things are improving here. The Packers, though
- 5:17Speaker 1: they didn't get on the scoreboard so four fifty four
- 5:20Speaker 1: in the fourth, Jordan Love found Alan was Zard for
- 5:22Speaker 1: a twenty yard touchdown on fourth and five that captain
- 5:25Speaker 1: ten play fifty three yard drive, bringing the scorer to
- 5:28Speaker 1: thirteen to seven, down six. Unfortunately for the Packers, though
- 5:31Speaker 1: unable to get off the fields, the Chief's next possession
- 5:33Speaker 1: given up a thirteen yard pass to Tyreek Hill on
- 5:35Speaker 1: third and ten two minutes remaining. The Chiefs were able
- 5:38Speaker 1: to take a couple knees and close out that game.
- 5:40Speaker 1: So obviously the Chiefs are a team just in general
- 5:43Speaker 1: that will continue to follow. See then get out of
- 5:45Speaker 1: that funk. But let's dive into the head to head
- 5:47Speaker 1: comparison between these Seahawks in the Packers bump offensively, you know,
- 5:52Speaker 1: they're pretty close, you know, both teams. I'll start with
- 5:55Speaker 1: the Seahawks. The Seahawks are twenty ninth in total offense,
- 5:59Speaker 1: has taken it over the last four weeks rush offense
- 6:02Speaker 1: or twenty first, pass offense twenty seven points per game nineteenth.
- 6:07Speaker 1: On the other side of the Packers are twenty second
- 6:09Speaker 1: in total offense three hundred and thirty three yards per game,
- 6:13Speaker 1: eighteenth running the football one hundred and nine yards on
- 6:15Speaker 1: the ground, and then pass offense or twenty second points
- 6:18Speaker 1: per game or twentieth with twenty two point one. So offensively,
- 6:21Speaker 1: just looking at it, even with Aaron Rodgers and DeVante Adams,
- 6:24Speaker 1: this seems like a pretty evenly match matchup between both offenses. Offensively,
- 6:29Speaker 1: they're evenly matched. They both have good quarterbacks who are
- 6:32Speaker 1: coming back. Russell Wilson getting that pin out of his
- 6:35Speaker 1: finger and Rodgers getting through his COVID scare Defensively, that's
- 6:39Speaker 1: where they give a bit different all right. The Hawks
- 6:41Speaker 1: are thirty first overall, the Packers are fifth against the run,
- 6:44Speaker 1: The Hawks are twenty fifth. The Packers are sixteen. Against
- 6:47Speaker 1: the passes, the Hawks are twenty eight. The Packers are
- 6:50Speaker 1: seven points allowed, the Hawks are eighth and the Packers
- 6:54Speaker 1: are six. So if there is anything that the Hawks
- 6:56Speaker 1: have done well, it's the scoring. Right. They don't allow
- 7:00Speaker 1: teams typically to get a whole bunch of points on
- 7:02Speaker 1: the board. Now, Russell Wilson and Geno Smith have been
- 7:05Speaker 1: sacked twenty six times. Aaron Robinson Jordan Love have been
- 7:07Speaker 1: sacked nineteen. We'll say Aaron Rodgers has been sacked eighteen times.
- 7:11Speaker 1: The Jordan Love has been sacked once. And they don't
- 7:14Speaker 1: get after the quarterback, at least for the most part.
- 7:16Speaker 1: The Hawks have had their troubles getting after the quarterback,
- 7:19Speaker 1: only fourteen sacks to the Packers twenty one. The Hawks
- 7:22Speaker 1: have only had three interception the Packers have had nine.
- 7:26Speaker 1: So defensively, it's where it gets a bit tricky. But
- 7:29Speaker 1: I feel like this offense is good enough to challenge
- 7:32Speaker 1: this defense, especially with guys getting healthy. Now you talk
- 7:36Speaker 1: about Green Bay and you think about a long history
- 7:38Speaker 1: lambeau Field, the Lombardi Trophy, you think about the Hawks,
- 7:41Speaker 1: and it's a it's a short history. But these teams
- 7:44Speaker 1: still got some history between each other. Let's get to
- 7:46Speaker 1: knowing no your history, all right. So we alluded to
- 7:51Speaker 1: a little bit earlier in the podcast. The Packers they
- 7:53Speaker 1: lead the all time series fourteen to nine, eight and
- 7:56Speaker 1: eleven in the regular season, one three record in the postseason.
- 8:00Speaker 1: The Seahawks, unfortunately, have not won a game in Green Bay,
- 8:03Speaker 1: as I mentioned, since November first, nineteen and ninety nine,
- 8:07Speaker 1: and Mike Holmgren's returned to Green Bay as his first
- 8:09Speaker 1: year coach in the Seahawks, so it's been a long time, bump.
- 8:12Speaker 1: It's been a long time. On the other side, though,
- 8:15Speaker 1: the Packers haven't won in Seattle since two thousand and eight.
- 8:18Speaker 1: The two thousand and eight game was the last time
- 8:20Speaker 1: the road team was victorious in this matchup. Home teams
- 8:24Speaker 1: won nine straight matchups. The Packers have won the last
- 8:27Speaker 1: nine at lambeau Field, including six regular season games three
- 8:31Speaker 1: games in the postseason. And we'll quickly go through the
- 8:34Speaker 1: last meeting at lambeau Field. That was Seahawks drop in
- 8:37Speaker 1: the game twenty eight twenty three in the divisional playoffs.
- 8:40Speaker 1: So the twenty nineteen season Seahawks got in a whole early,
- 8:43Speaker 1: like a lot of their most recent playoff losses, trailing
- 8:46Speaker 1: twenty one to three at halftime. Second half, though, it
- 8:48Speaker 1: was Russell Wilson's show. He led three long touchdown drives
- 8:52Speaker 1: ten play sixty nine yards, twelve place eighty four yards,
- 8:54Speaker 1: nine place seventy nine yards, two of those ending in
- 8:57Speaker 1: Marshawn Lynch touchdown runs in a seven yard touchdown paster
- 9:00Speaker 1: Tyler Lockett. Lynch's second touchdown run brought the Seahawks to
- 9:03Speaker 1: within five at twenty eight twenty three, with nine thirty
- 9:06Speaker 1: three many in the game. Bump and we were watching
- 9:09Speaker 1: that game, we thought this was destiny. This was a
- 9:11Speaker 1: Seahawks time. Yeah, they got to stop. On the next possession,
- 9:14Speaker 1: both Griffin brothers got a sack. They're punting the football
- 9:17Speaker 1: back to Russell Wilson. He can't be stopped. Unfortunately, they
- 9:21Speaker 1: get the ball back and I'll never forget it. Malik
- 9:24Speaker 1: Turner was a great kid. This a good things when
- 9:27Speaker 1: he played here. But man, it's hard to forget that
- 9:30Speaker 1: it was first and ten. It's probably gonna be twenty
- 9:32Speaker 1: five yard game over the middle of the field and
- 9:34Speaker 1: first down and he drops it, which is just crushing.
- 9:36Speaker 1: That would have flipped the field open. Oh and at
- 9:39Speaker 1: that point, even if you know you get to midfield,
- 9:41Speaker 1: now you're in four down territory. But the Seahawks, which
- 9:43Speaker 1: he backed up and putting the football away the Packers
- 9:47Speaker 1: unfortunately defensively, the Seawks couldn't get off the field. Packers
- 9:49Speaker 1: completed thirty two yard pass to DeVante Adams on third
- 9:52Speaker 1: and eight, and then Jimmy Graham caught a third and
- 9:55Speaker 1: nine and it looked short. It was tight, but there
- 9:58Speaker 1: was no video. Evan is to figure it out. Packers
- 10:01Speaker 1: hole on the win twenty eight twenty three bump, and
- 10:03Speaker 1: I'm I'm praying for some mojo. I need something good
- 10:06Speaker 1: to happen. Nothing great has happened in that building for
- 10:09Speaker 1: so long I have I don't know, wait for my
- 10:12Speaker 1: prediction later, but I'm feeling the good mojo I'm feeling.
- 10:16Speaker 1: So now let's get back into the NFC West with
- 10:19Speaker 1: what's the word? And the Seahawks are the NFC West
- 10:27Speaker 1: champs again. What's the word? In the West? On Hawk Talk,
- 10:33Speaker 1: Boar I'd tell you, what's the word. Hey, My league
- 10:35Speaker 1: turning kind of touchdown this weekend, so I just wanted
- 10:37Speaker 1: to show him some love with the Cowboys, all right,
- 10:39Speaker 1: but the word in the West, Arizona Cardinals are sitting
- 10:41Speaker 1: out top at eight and one, Los Angeles Rounds behind
- 10:44Speaker 1: them at seven and two. Year Hawks are in third
- 10:46Speaker 1: place at three and five. In the San Francisco forty
- 10:49Speaker 1: nine Ers are three and five. The Seahawks are still
- 10:51Speaker 1: in third place looking up at the Carlins and the Rounds.
- 10:53Speaker 1: About four remaining games in the division during the second
- 10:56Speaker 1: half of the season. Let's talk about these Cardinals. Man.
- 11:00Speaker 1: These Cardinals beat the forty nine or thirty one to
- 11:02Speaker 1: seventeen in Santa Clara, and it was probably one of
- 11:06Speaker 1: the more impressive wins because of who they were missing.
- 11:09Speaker 1: They were missing Kyler Murray, they were missing DeAndre Hopkins
- 11:12Speaker 1: and aj Green. They lost their running back Chase Edmonds
- 11:15Speaker 1: in the first quarter. But none of that matter. Colton McCoy,
- 11:18Speaker 1: I can't believe this guy is still in the league
- 11:20Speaker 1: playing football. Colton McCoy was twenty two of twenty six
- 11:23Speaker 1: two hundred forty nine yards, one touchdown and did not
- 11:26Speaker 1: turn the ball over. When you have backups inm you
- 11:29Speaker 1: kind of bank on them turning over the football. Coles say, nah,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I got this, don't worry about it. James Connor stole
- 11:34Speaker 1: the show offensively with twenty one carres for ninety six
- 11:37Speaker 1: yards and two touchdowns. Also had five catches for seventy
- 11:40Speaker 1: seven yards and one touchdown. This Cardinals defense stepped up.
- 11:44Speaker 1: They forced three turnovers and had five sacks, three coming
- 11:48Speaker 1: from Marcus Golden. He had a day. The forty nine
- 11:51Speaker 1: ers couldn't get of their way. They're their own worst enemy,
- 11:54Speaker 1: losing a pair of fumbles in the first half, struggle
- 11:56Speaker 1: to contain the seems like a forty year old cold
- 11:59Speaker 1: McCoy boy who won just his second start in the
- 12:02Speaker 1: last ten seasons. Now we talk about Geno Smith. Stay ready,
- 12:06Speaker 1: so you ain't gotta get ready, Colton McCoy said, And
- 12:08Speaker 1: I got this. I can lead you guys all right.
- 12:10Speaker 1: The forty niners are now winless this season at home.
- 12:13Speaker 1: They are owing four in one and a the last
- 12:16Speaker 1: two seasons. Jimmy Gee was solid twenty eight forty six stars,
- 12:21Speaker 1: two touchdowns, one interception. That's the thing about Jimmy, He's
- 12:25Speaker 1: not gonna have a really big game. He's gonna be solid.
- 12:28Speaker 1: He'll be okay. Either be solid okay, or he's gonna
- 12:30Speaker 1: lose the game for you. For this forty nine Ers
- 12:33Speaker 1: teams to go anywhere they need better quarterback play positive
- 12:37Speaker 1: for the Niners, George Kittle was back. He had six receptions,
- 12:39Speaker 1: one hundred and one yards, one touchdown, just doing what
- 12:42Speaker 1: George Kittle does. Elijah Mitchell wasn't able to get much
- 12:45Speaker 1: going on the ground, had eight carries for thirty six yards.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Every single week. The Carlos are proven that they're good
- 12:51Speaker 1: football team. Doesn't matter who's coaching, who's at quarterback, who's
- 12:54Speaker 1: at running back, receivers, they find ways to win ball
- 12:57Speaker 1: games and it makes me six. Sometimes you can't. You
- 13:01Speaker 1: can't deny who they are at this point, no question
- 13:03Speaker 1: about it. We talked about them a lot last year
- 13:04Speaker 1: with Colin Murray in his second year. We thought they
- 13:06Speaker 1: were going to take a bigger step last year. Apparently
- 13:09Speaker 1: we were just a year early because the Cardinals have
- 13:11Speaker 1: arrived that as a fact. We don't have to like it,
- 13:14Speaker 1: but it is what it is. Man. The record doesn't lie,
- 13:16Speaker 1: the stats don't lie. The Cardinals are great football team,
- 13:19Speaker 1: and the Seahawks got him twice. Seahaws got him twice
- 13:21Speaker 1: here in the second half of the season. Obviously, they
- 13:23Speaker 1: got to take care of Green Bay first, but they're
- 13:25Speaker 1: gonna be a tough matchup in this division. Just you know,
- 13:28Speaker 1: never lets up. Now the other team in the division
- 13:30Speaker 1: behind those Cardinals are the Rams. So the Rams have
- 13:33Speaker 1: their four game win streaks snap, falling to the Titans
- 13:35Speaker 1: twenty eight to sixteen on Sunday Night football. And this
- 13:39Speaker 1: is not what we expected. Man, I was. I remember
- 13:41Speaker 1: talking to somebody in the building last week. I'm like, man,
- 13:44Speaker 1: these Rams were so lucky they get to play Tennessee
- 13:46Speaker 1: without Derrick henry Man. He was gonna run all over him.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I know it, I know it. But hey, guess what.
- 13:51Speaker 1: The Titans came up. They came out to play. They
- 13:53Speaker 1: balled out. They were lied on that defense, which is
- 13:55Speaker 1: crazy to me because if you remember when the Seahawks
- 13:57Speaker 1: played him, no one was thinking about how good that
- 14:00Speaker 1: defense was whatsoever. But they came out to play. Titans
- 14:04Speaker 1: intercepted in Matthew Stafford on consecutive passes, including a Kevin
- 14:07Speaker 1: Bayard pick six. Stafford finished the game thirty one of
- 14:10Speaker 1: forty eight two hundred ninety four yards, one touchdown, two interceptions,
- 14:15Speaker 1: and was sacked five times, which is another thing because
- 14:17Speaker 1: the Rams usually gonna give up a lot of sacks.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So I mean, this was a crazy game. The Rams
- 14:21Speaker 1: didn't get in the end zone until twenty four seconds
- 14:24Speaker 1: remaining in the game after they were trailing twenty eight
- 14:26Speaker 1: to nine. Sean McVay has never been shut out of
- 14:28Speaker 1: the end zone, which would have been a crazy stat
- 14:30Speaker 1: that didn't quite happen. Receiving, though, for the Rams, doesn't
- 14:34Speaker 1: really matter how the games end for them. These two
- 14:36Speaker 1: are going to get their numbers. Robert Woods seven receptions
- 14:39Speaker 1: ninety eight yards, Cooper Cup doing Cooper Cup things eleven
- 14:42Speaker 1: receptions ninety five yards, and like I said, big ups
- 14:46Speaker 1: to the Tennessee defense man Tannehill was only nineteen to
- 14:49Speaker 1: twenty seven, one hundred forty three yards, one touchdown, one pick.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Kind of a Tannehill performance without their star running back.
- 14:56Speaker 1: That kind of gives the catos for that offense. Adrian Peterson. Man,
- 15:00Speaker 1: Adrian Peterson, my back in middle school. What is going on?
- 15:05Speaker 1: Adrian Peterson? He had his one hundred nineteenth career touchdown,
- 15:08Speaker 1: one hundred twenty fifth overall, tying him with Walter Payton
- 15:12Speaker 1: for eleventh most in NFL history. Now, Bum, the Seahawks
- 15:18Speaker 1: did not play last week. They did not play last
- 15:21Speaker 1: but it was about the best bye week you could
- 15:24Speaker 1: have imagined, Bump, how are you feeling about this playoff picture?
- 15:28Speaker 1: Great weekend for the Seahawks. When it comes to the playoffs,
- 15:31Speaker 1: the Seahawks had the best buy a wig you can
- 15:33Speaker 1: ask for them. The teams that you needed to lose
- 15:36Speaker 1: took a l The Panthers loss to the patris fall
- 15:38Speaker 1: into four and five, The Vikings loss of the Ravens.
- 15:40Speaker 1: They're three and five. The Niners lost to the Cardinals.
- 15:43Speaker 1: They're three and five. The Falcons did beat the Saints,
- 15:46Speaker 1: going to four and four in the season and currently
- 15:48Speaker 1: in the seventh and final playoff spot. As of today,
- 15:52Speaker 1: they're one game out of this out of the seventh spot,
- 15:55Speaker 1: which is crazy. I have three and five. If you
- 15:57Speaker 1: told me three and five to start the season, I say, Okay,
- 15:59Speaker 1: let's start planning for the future. Let's start getting veterans
- 16:03Speaker 1: in and moving pieces around. Nah they are good to go,
- 16:06Speaker 1: But the Seahawks have a tough two game stretch coming up.
- 16:08Speaker 1: They got the Packers. They have the Cardinals, who combine
- 16:10Speaker 1: who have a combined rack at the fifteen and three.
- 16:12Speaker 1: They also have four games remaining in division, but the
- 16:15Speaker 1: Hawks have games against Washington football team, the Niners, Texans, Bears,
- 16:20Speaker 1: and Lions and Bear records combine a whopping nine and
- 16:23Speaker 1: thirty two. So it loose, boy, we still got a chance.
- 16:27Speaker 1: So like you're saying, Bears a chance, I love to
- 16:31Speaker 1: see it. Like you said, it's crazy, the Shawks are
- 16:33Speaker 1: just one game out of that. And even with the Falcons.
- 16:35Speaker 1: The Falcons don't scare me. They're foigned for, but they're
- 16:37Speaker 1: not a playing team. So it'll be it'll be interesting
- 16:40Speaker 1: to see. You know, you're gonna strap up and it's
- 16:42Speaker 1: gonna be a fun ride in the NFC. Moving forward,
- 16:44Speaker 1: Let's get back to the Packers, though, look at some
- 16:46Speaker 1: of these matchups. Man up, who is this man up?
- 16:56Speaker 1: On Hawk Talk? Well, we gotta start with that guy
- 17:00Speaker 1: everybody's been talking about, Bump the quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. I
- 17:05Speaker 1: put slash Jordan Love against the Seahawks defense. As I
- 17:08Speaker 1: mentioned earlier, Aaron Rodgers, while in the COVID nineteen protocol,
- 17:11Speaker 1: does not need a negative test to return, just needs
- 17:13Speaker 1: to be symptom free and he's eligible return to practice
- 17:16Speaker 1: on Saturday day before the Seahawks game. His status isn't confirmed,
- 17:20Speaker 1: but we should expect the veteran quarterback to be out
- 17:22Speaker 1: in the field on Sunday. He said to Pat McAfee
- 17:24Speaker 1: on the Pat mcafee' show. There's a possibility he doesn't
- 17:27Speaker 1: play on Sunday, but it's a small possibility. Said he
- 17:30Speaker 1: believes here there's a health hurdle. He's kind of got
- 17:32Speaker 1: to get over movement, sweating, getting into it, making sure
- 17:34Speaker 1: the body, especially his hard is fine with a physical exertion.
- 17:37Speaker 1: But we expecting the play he's gonna play man. We're
- 17:43Speaker 1: not gonna get into all the other stuff that was
- 17:45Speaker 1: said from him, but on the field, bump, Aaron Rodgers
- 17:48Speaker 1: is balling out. He is who he is. Eight games,
- 17:50Speaker 1: one hundred and seventy three for two hundred and fifty
- 17:52Speaker 1: eight one eight hundred ninety four yards, seventeen toads, three interceptions,
- 17:57Speaker 1: have been sacked seventeen times, eighteen carries forty seven yards
- 18:01Speaker 1: to touchdown. There's not a lot you have to say
- 18:03Speaker 1: about Aaron Rodgers man, love him or hate him. He
- 18:06Speaker 1: is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play this
- 18:08Speaker 1: game of football. His resume spakes for itself. Super Bowl Champion,
- 18:11Speaker 1: super Bowl MVP, three time MVP at eleven, twenty fourteen,
- 18:15Speaker 1: twenty twenty, three time first Team All Pro, second Team
- 18:18Speaker 1: All Pro, nine time Pro Bowler. I mean, you could
- 18:20Speaker 1: look at the stats. I'm not going to bore you
- 18:22Speaker 1: with all that. We know how good Aaron Rodgers is. Man.
- 18:24Speaker 1: You know, he'll tell you to relax. He he's not
- 18:28Speaker 1: the most likable guy, you know. I'm just I'm just
- 18:31Speaker 1: purely talking about on the football field, especially. I know
- 18:33Speaker 1: Seahawks fans feel that way. A lot of people do
- 18:35Speaker 1: as well. But the man is a baller. He's really
- 18:38Speaker 1: only have one bad game this year. It was that
- 18:40Speaker 1: first game against the Saints. Fifteen to twenty eight hundred
- 18:43Speaker 1: and thirty three yards, zero touchdowns, two interceptions, was sacked
- 18:46Speaker 1: once that day, but the Saints did have seven quarterback
- 18:49Speaker 1: hits bumps. So how are the Seahawks going to contain
- 18:53Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers, assuming he's out there on Sunday? How do
- 18:57Speaker 1: you contain Aaron Rodgers? Well, he's been sacked eighteen times,
- 19:00Speaker 1: so you have to get after them. And they've shown like, look,
- 19:03Speaker 1: we will allow some pressure to get to Aaron Rodgers.
- 19:05Speaker 1: You gotta have tight coverage on the back end as well.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I mean you got Lazard, you got Devant Adams, Aaron
- 19:10Speaker 1: Jones and Dylan are mixed in the past game as well.
- 19:13Speaker 1: You gotta be fundamentally sound and force him to do
- 19:16Speaker 1: what he doesn't do, which is turned the ball over.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Only has three interceptions. A tough ask, a tough task,
- 19:21Speaker 1: but it can be done. If you can keep them
- 19:23Speaker 1: under twenty points twenty one points around there, then I
- 19:27Speaker 1: think this offense has a chance to go shot for
- 19:29Speaker 1: shot with these guys, especially with Russell Wilson being healthy.
- 19:32Speaker 1: We got to see how that finger fills in the cold.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Speaking of Russell Wilson, that's the next match of Russell
- 19:37Speaker 1: Wilson versus the Packers' defense. It's been a long month
- 19:41Speaker 1: for us. He's finally clear. He is ready to go.
- 19:45Speaker 1: He Carol has some things to say about the qbi's return. Yeah,
- 19:49Speaker 1: this is a remarkable story of recovery and really a
- 19:54Speaker 1: guy setting intent that he was going to do this
- 19:56Speaker 1: and pull it off. And I mean he's way way
- 19:57Speaker 1: ahead of schedule, and we just came off the practice
- 20:00Speaker 1: field and he threw the ball all over the place.
- 20:03Speaker 1: So he he he did really well for the first
- 20:05Speaker 1: time out in a limited amount of plays. But I
- 20:10Speaker 1: mean everything about it. You know, we knew that Russ
- 20:12Speaker 1: was going to go for it, and we didn't know,
- 20:13Speaker 1: if you know, if his body could respond, but it did.
- 20:16Speaker 1: And his team that worked with him and helped him
- 20:19Speaker 1: throughout did a remarkable job. And so you know, we'll
- 20:23Speaker 1: just go one day at a time. Seattle goes and
- 20:25Speaker 1: I know he's thrilled to be back. Everybody's excited to
- 20:27Speaker 1: see him back out here, and so it's it's an
- 20:30Speaker 1: amazing accomplishment to be back. Just throwing like he just
- 20:33Speaker 1: did on the practice field is a great achievement him.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Booth be and are you working under the assumption that
- 20:40Speaker 1: Russell's your starter on Sunday. We're going one day at
- 20:43Speaker 1: a time here. You know, Tim, I he's not out
- 20:44Speaker 1: here to do anything but play. You know, he's not
- 20:46Speaker 1: coming back just a practice. So we'll we'll see what
- 20:49Speaker 1: happens as the week goes on, but you know, give
- 20:51Speaker 1: us days to figure that out. But the intention is
- 20:54Speaker 1: that if he's okay, he plays the five games with
- 20:56Speaker 1: Russell Wilson when he was playing. Okay, average per play
- 21:00Speaker 1: there were six point five that's fourth in the NFL.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Without Russell Wilson, they were fifteenth averaging five point seven
- 21:06Speaker 1: total yards per game with Russell, nineteenth without them, twenty
- 21:10Speaker 1: nine passing that yards per game with Russ fourth without
- 21:12Speaker 1: tenth total offense, they were nineteenth without Rust. They are
- 21:16Speaker 1: twenty nine offense inside the twenty. I gotta score with touchdowns.
- 21:20Speaker 1: They were fourth without them. There were second. Oh oh,
- 21:23Speaker 1: that's there's something for the RUSS haters to kind of
- 21:25Speaker 1: hang their hat on right right there. Yards per play
- 21:27Speaker 1: on first dawn there were eighth with Rust six point
- 21:29Speaker 1: three seven. Without him, they were twenty fourth with five
- 21:33Speaker 1: point three one. You need Russell Wilson to have this offense.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Go Gino Smith did a good job filling in, had
- 21:40Speaker 1: opportunities to win the ball game at the end of
- 21:42Speaker 1: the game. But there's nothing like having number three hunder center.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no question about it. I mean, it's not
- 21:47Speaker 1: even it's not a fair comparison. Gino, Gino did this thing.
- 21:49Speaker 1: This is not to detract from Gino Smith. He was Abiramle.
- 21:52Speaker 1: I mean he Gino Smith easily could have been undefeated.
- 21:54Speaker 1: He could have picked up and won the Rams game,
- 21:56Speaker 1: could have won the last three. Unfortunately did it wasn't
- 21:59Speaker 1: the case. So Gino played great. But it is what
- 22:00Speaker 1: it is. Russell Wilson, the future Hall of Famer. You
- 22:02Speaker 1: look at complete percentage seventy two percent on the season,
- 22:05Speaker 1: that would be a career best nine point five seven
- 22:08Speaker 1: yards per attempt. That's number one in the National Football League,
- 22:10Speaker 1: a one twenty five point three passer rating or QB rating,
- 22:15Speaker 1: excuse me. And the one thing that really needs to
- 22:17Speaker 1: be cleaned up a little bit. So Russell was sacked
- 22:19Speaker 1: thirteen times in five games. Geno Smith was sacked thirteen
- 22:23Speaker 1: times in three games. So that is something that is
- 22:26Speaker 1: death only gonna need to be fixed, you know, heading
- 22:28Speaker 1: into this game, and it's gonna be tough. Man. These Packers,
- 22:31Speaker 1: they have a good defense. They are fifth in total defense,
- 22:34Speaker 1: allowing just three hundred twenty one yards per game, seventh
- 22:37Speaker 1: in past defense allowing two hundred and ten through the
- 22:40Speaker 1: air in six in points allowed per game twenty per game,
- 22:43Speaker 1: and linebackers or Shawn Gary leads a team with four
- 22:46Speaker 1: point five sacks. Linebacker deve Andre Campbell LEAs a team
- 22:49Speaker 1: with eighty three tackles, tied for fourth in the NFL.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Now Bump, you mentioned a little bit ago you think,
- 22:55Speaker 1: you know, if the Seahawks and hold these the Packers
- 22:57Speaker 1: to like twenty one points or whatever. If the Sea
- 23:00Speaker 1: sold the Packers are twenty one points, i am guaranteeing
- 23:02Speaker 1: a victory. I'm guarante unit victory. That is that is
- 23:06Speaker 1: absolutely the recipe. I'm I'm being more. I'm I'm more
- 23:09Speaker 1: on the side of if if we got to hold
- 23:11Speaker 1: him under thirty, I'm just thinking, if he's back there,
- 23:14Speaker 1: they have some weapons. If the one thing this defense.
- 23:19Speaker 1: This is a real test. Right, You've had a couple
- 23:21Speaker 1: you've had a cut, you had to pop muto, you
- 23:23Speaker 1: struggle on some mid terms early on, right, let's say
- 23:26Speaker 1: out of school a school analogy here, because I'm good
- 23:28Speaker 1: at this, because I wasn't that great at school. So
- 23:30Speaker 1: you start, you start the year off and you do okay,
- 23:33Speaker 1: and a couple of the quizzes your first mid term boom,
- 23:35Speaker 1: you failed. You you did you did nothing right. You're
- 23:38Speaker 1: trying to figure out. So you're back in the classroom.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You're trying to work on some things. You're getting tutored up,
- 23:43Speaker 1: you know, and then the next you know, quiz comes
- 23:45Speaker 1: around and you improve. There's some things you did well
- 23:48Speaker 1: and there's two things you're like, Man, I knew I
- 23:50Speaker 1: should have done that. I missed that, Bob, I missed that.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Note Well, the last three bump you've aced the last
- 23:55Speaker 1: three quizzes. Man, you're feeling good. You're feeling good. But bro,
- 23:59Speaker 1: now it's time for that midterm. That midterm is here.
- 24:01Speaker 1: We're out at the final yet we're at that midway point.
- 24:04Speaker 1: But that mid term is here, so we're really gonna
- 24:06Speaker 1: see if the Seahawks have, you know, put everything together.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Many they're still ranked towards the end of the bottom
- 24:12Speaker 1: of the league and defense I think they're thirty first,
- 24:14Speaker 1: But you know, before the after the Rams game, they
- 24:17Speaker 1: were given a four hundred fifty yards per game. Now
- 24:19Speaker 1: they're only given up four hundreds, so there's an improvement there.
- 24:21Speaker 1: But mid terms are here. I want to see what
- 24:23Speaker 1: the Seahawks events can do. I got faith in them.
- 24:25Speaker 1: If they show up on Sunday and play like they
- 24:28Speaker 1: have the last three weeks, this team's gonna go on
- 24:29Speaker 1: a run. They study, have they taken notes, have they
- 24:34Speaker 1: been in study groups? Did you go to last Let's
- 24:36Speaker 1: go Seahawks, do all the things you need to do
- 24:38Speaker 1: to win all right, Next matchup Aaron Jones versus AJ
- 24:42Speaker 1: Dillon and the Seahawk front seven. Aaron Jones one of
- 24:45Speaker 1: the best running backs in the league. One hundred and
- 24:46Speaker 1: sixteen carries, five hundred sixteen yards, three touchdowns. He can
- 24:50Speaker 1: catch that rock as well. Thirty three receptions, two hundred
- 24:53Speaker 1: and thirty seven yards and four touchdowns. AJ Dillon man,
- 24:56Speaker 1: he's been a nice little addition to this football club.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Seventy six. He's three d and fifty five yards, fourteen
- 25:02Speaker 1: receptions for one hundred thirty four yards and one touchdowns.
- 25:05Speaker 1: The Packers are eighteenth in the NFL and rushing and
- 25:08Speaker 1: thirteenth in attempts. Now, it's all about controlling the run
- 25:14Speaker 1: game right. The game has changed where everyone's spreading the
- 25:17Speaker 1: ball out. You want to get it down on the field.
- 25:19Speaker 1: But if you can force the team to throw the football,
- 25:21Speaker 1: that's like a low percentage shot. That's like asking a
- 25:24Speaker 1: team that's okay at three pointers to shoot threes dollar
- 25:26Speaker 1: time and try to win the game. You gotta be
- 25:28Speaker 1: able to get into the pain running the football gets
- 25:31Speaker 1: you in the pain, It controls the tempo of the game.
- 25:34Speaker 1: You have to lock down these two guys. Aaron Rodgers
- 25:37Speaker 1: is already dangerous, all right. You don't need him to
- 25:40Speaker 1: be able to handle the ball off to two hogs
- 25:42Speaker 1: in the backfield and get this game going. I think
- 25:44Speaker 1: it's gonna be huge. Aaron Rodgers is gonna do what
- 25:46Speaker 1: he does. He will get his yards, he'll throw a
- 25:48Speaker 1: couple of touchdowns, but you got to neutralize these two
- 25:51Speaker 1: in the backfield. Yeah, no question about it. You don't
- 25:53Speaker 1: need to give Aaron Rodgers any more help than he
- 25:56Speaker 1: already has. And now here's probably this is one of
- 25:59Speaker 1: my big ones of the game. Obviously, we know Aaron
- 26:01Speaker 1: Rodgers is the cattles that makes his engine go for
- 26:04Speaker 1: the Packers. But Davanta Adams and Randall Cobb first, dj
- 26:07Speaker 1: re Trey Brown slash Sidney Jones, Davante Adams. First of all,
- 26:12Speaker 1: he's one of the best in the NFL. Let's just
- 26:13Speaker 1: call like it is. Outside of Aaron Rodgers, he's our
- 26:16Speaker 1: deadliest weapon. Eight games, he's got fifty eight receptions seven
- 26:20Speaker 1: hundred and eighty six yards, fourth in the NFL and
- 26:22Speaker 1: three touchdowns coming into this year. Came out a career
- 26:25Speaker 1: year twenty twenty where he had one hundred and fifteen
- 26:27Speaker 1: receptions for thirteen hundred and seventy four yards in a
- 26:31Speaker 1: league leading eighteen touchdowns. But when we've played the Packers
- 26:35Speaker 1: last couple of years, Davanta Addas has tore us up.
- 26:38Speaker 1: The straight up man he is. He is hard to
- 26:40Speaker 1: keep in front, He is an incredible route runner, he
- 26:43Speaker 1: does a lot of good things, and he's a tough matchup.
- 26:45Speaker 1: So wherever he lines up, so dj Re, Trey Brown,
- 26:48Speaker 1: Sidney Jones, this is gonna be a huge matchup because
- 26:51Speaker 1: I'll just let's just call it like it is. Man.
- 26:54Speaker 1: The shows events has played really well the last couple
- 26:55Speaker 1: of weeks, but in terms of a wide receiver corps,
- 26:59Speaker 1: they haven't been to sitting in a a little bit. The Steelers, yes,
- 27:01Speaker 1: saw it, but they didn't have Juju Saints. They're okay,
- 27:04Speaker 1: they didn't have Thomas Jaguars. I mean they're average at best.
- 27:09Speaker 1: This isn't the Rams, you know what I'm saying. So
- 27:11Speaker 1: this is that level. So Davante Adams and this kind
- 27:14Speaker 1: of this unit at Lazard, all those guys, this is
- 27:17Speaker 1: real They're gonna get tested again, Like we keep saying,
- 27:19Speaker 1: those midterms are up, so it's gonna be a really
- 27:21Speaker 1: good test for a secondary and this will really show
- 27:23Speaker 1: what type of growth they've they've made. What's happening with
- 27:26Speaker 1: their linebackers, what's happening underneath coverage? Are they being sound,
- 27:29Speaker 1: are they in positions? And then when they are in position,
- 27:31Speaker 1: are they making those plays? So this is gonna be
- 27:34Speaker 1: a huge thing in this matchup here. Adams is great
- 27:37Speaker 1: in the red zone and in the middle of the field.
- 27:40Speaker 1: He works the middle of the field better than any
- 27:42Speaker 1: receiver I see in the league. So yes, linebackers got
- 27:44Speaker 1: to be on points, Safeties, coroners, all hands on deck
- 27:47Speaker 1: when it comes to this past game, next matchup, DK
- 27:49Speaker 1: metcalf and Tyler Locke and versus Kevin King, Douglas and
- 27:53Speaker 1: Shandon Sullivan. He's their nickel guy. DK leads Seahawks and
- 27:57Speaker 1: receiving with thirty nine receptions from five hundred yards and
- 28:00Speaker 1: eight touchdown. Title locket right behind him with forty one
- 28:03Speaker 1: receptions five hundred seventy nine yards and three touchdowns. After
- 28:06Speaker 1: getting just eight targets and four receptions combined against the Saints,
- 28:09Speaker 1: Locket and Metcalf were way better against the Jaguars in
- 28:13Speaker 1: that game. They could bind for eighteen receptions nineteen targets
- 28:16Speaker 1: than one hundred and eighty five yards two touchdowns. Now,
- 28:19Speaker 1: these two need to be heavily featured in every game plan.
- 28:23Speaker 1: When you get together as a staff and you're meeting
- 28:26Speaker 1: and you're breaking down charts and all that stuff, two
- 28:29Speaker 1: words needs to be mentioned. Lockett, Metcalf. Get these guys
- 28:33Speaker 1: the football. They are dangerous, they pose a great threat.
- 28:36Speaker 1: They're one of the best duos in the league, of
- 28:37Speaker 1: not the best duel in the league. On the other side,
- 28:40Speaker 1: Kevin King and Douglas have helped the Packers to the
- 28:43Speaker 1: seventh the ring pass defense to the NFL. Former U
- 28:46Speaker 1: standout King has come under fire and Green Bay the
- 28:48Speaker 1: past two years. After a career high five interceptions in
- 28:51Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, He's only played in four games this year
- 28:54Speaker 1: and at seventeen tackles and two passes defended. You gotta
- 28:58Speaker 1: go after these two guys, now, us. Yeah, No, without question,
- 29:01Speaker 1: I think they've done some good things. I think Kevin King,
- 29:04Speaker 1: at least here and from Green Bay fans especially, it
- 29:07Speaker 1: got real last postseason. It got real when they lost
- 29:10Speaker 1: to the Buccaneers in that NFC Championship game, and the
- 29:14Speaker 1: I mean they're not even quiet. I mean people were
- 29:16Speaker 1: calling for him to replaced this and that and Rashul Douglas.
- 29:19Speaker 1: He's only playing four games this year, two twenty two tackles,
- 29:21Speaker 1: three pass defended, one interception. Chandon Sullivan plays that he's
- 29:24Speaker 1: the nickel, but he plays a ton of snaps. I
- 29:26Speaker 1: mean nineteen in all nine games, he's got eighteen tackles,
- 29:29Speaker 1: two pass defended, one in reception. Yeah, go after him, man,
- 29:32Speaker 1: go after him especially. I think I think Kevin Kitts
- 29:34Speaker 1: a solid player, Kevin king excuse me. I watched him
- 29:37Speaker 1: play a lot of games at the University of Washington.
- 29:39Speaker 1: He's a good player. But I'll take my chance with
- 29:43Speaker 1: DK Metcalf. I'll take my chances with Tyler Lockett, with
- 29:47Speaker 1: Gerald Everett, with d es Bridge. If he's out there playing,
- 29:51Speaker 1: they have to be involved. They are two good of
- 29:53Speaker 1: players and it helps make our offensive go. It's all
- 29:56Speaker 1: as Ray robertso I said, it's got to be married
- 29:58Speaker 1: right game, the run game, all of it's got to
- 30:02Speaker 1: come together. They're too talented. I like the plan where
- 30:04Speaker 1: it's Let's throw it up to our two best players
- 30:07Speaker 1: and see what happens. That's my favorite plan. Bum Yeah,
- 30:10Speaker 1: I'm with it. I am with it. So there's some
- 30:12Speaker 1: things they have to do to win this game. Let's
- 30:14Speaker 1: look at the path to victory. At the forty five
- 30:18Speaker 1: waits for the staff, Michael Vickson puts it down. That
- 30:21Speaker 1: kick is away. If that kick is God, it's good.
- 30:27Speaker 1: It's a pass to victory. I'm hawk talk all right. Now.
- 30:31Speaker 1: There are some things this football team needs to do
- 30:35Speaker 1: to win, and if they are able to get Russell
- 30:38Speaker 1: Wilson back, that will be a great start. He hasn't
- 30:40Speaker 1: been named as a starter yet, but we know that
- 30:43Speaker 1: he's doing everything he needs to do to get back
- 30:45Speaker 1: on the football field. A little bird word on the
- 30:48Speaker 1: street told me he looked good throwing the football in practice.
- 30:51Speaker 1: So that's a good start. If you get Russell Wilson back,
- 30:54Speaker 1: the moralea of this team is up, the chances of
- 30:56Speaker 1: them winning her up. Everything just feels a bit better.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Whenever we have a center, no question about it, he
- 31:01Speaker 1: gives them. He's gonna give him a boost just naturally,
- 31:04Speaker 1: just his presence out there, his command of the game.
- 31:06Speaker 1: We know he does the film study. We know he's prepared.
- 31:09Speaker 1: We know he was out there doing all those mental reps.
- 31:11Speaker 1: He's locked in as they come. So I'm excited. I'm excited.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I think he's gonna give this offensive boost, a little
- 31:17Speaker 1: joel of energy, a little energy shot, and it's gonna
- 31:19Speaker 1: be great. Man. Like we just talked about in our
- 31:21Speaker 1: last matchup, get d K and Tyler involved early and often.
- 31:25Speaker 1: These two dudes or bosses their ballers. They're one of
- 31:29Speaker 1: the best duos in the National Football League, and they
- 31:30Speaker 1: need to be a vocal part of that offense. And
- 31:33Speaker 1: to do that, they need to protect. They need to
- 31:35Speaker 1: give Russell time, they need to get open, they need
- 31:38Speaker 1: to be able to handle pressure and all that. They
- 31:40Speaker 1: need to be able to run the ball. But just
- 31:42Speaker 1: get them involved early and often. Just get them the ball.
- 31:45Speaker 1: In like life, football is all about balance, all right.
- 31:49Speaker 1: You gotta be able to run it and you gotta
- 31:50Speaker 1: be able to throw that thing. Let's find a Ballance
- 31:53Speaker 1: doesn't mean it has to be twenty five runs the
- 31:55Speaker 1: twenty five passes. It just means that it has to
- 31:57Speaker 1: feel right, it has to flow and the care of
- 32:00Speaker 1: the football. Whether she'd be nasty and green Bay. But
- 32:03Speaker 1: if I'm a head coach or just a coach in general,
- 32:05Speaker 1: we'll be tell these guys, I don't care. I don't
- 32:07Speaker 1: care if that as draining. I don't care that a
- 32:09Speaker 1: snow him ball security, job security, take care of the
- 32:12Speaker 1: football defensively. This is gonna be the biggest test of
- 32:15Speaker 1: the season. Can you prove to everybody that these last
- 32:18Speaker 1: few games were not a fluke? Right? You're holding teams
- 32:20Speaker 1: around three hundred yards. Now, you're gonna get Davonte Adams, Lazarre,
- 32:25Speaker 1: you got Dylan and Jones in the backfield. Aaron Rodgers
- 32:28Speaker 1: is playing, he's just being He's gonna be clear the
- 32:30Speaker 1: day before the game. Let's take advantage of that and
- 32:34Speaker 1: show the NFL that you are a decent defense. Not gray,
- 32:37Speaker 1: but you're a decent defense, good enough to keep this
- 32:40Speaker 1: team in the game without Yeah, I think you hit
- 32:42Speaker 1: the nail right on the head. And to do that,
- 32:44Speaker 1: you're gonna need to contain Davante Adams and try to
- 32:47Speaker 1: get pressure on Rogers. Right. They've done. The Seahawks have
- 32:50Speaker 1: done a great job of getting out the field on
- 32:51Speaker 1: third down in recent weeks, and they need to keep
- 32:53Speaker 1: that that trend going because the more Aaron Rodgers on
- 32:57Speaker 1: the sideline, the better it is for the Seattle Seahawks
- 32:59Speaker 1: chances of victory. And um, we said this, you know
- 33:03Speaker 1: a lot of weeks recently, we're still waiting for that
- 33:06Speaker 1: big Jamal Adams game. He's played good the last couple
- 33:09Speaker 1: of weeks. He absolutely has. He's been under control, he's
- 33:11Speaker 1: been in position, he has made plays. But I want
- 33:14Speaker 1: that splash. I want that Jamal Adams type play like
- 33:18Speaker 1: when he first showed up in town in that Atlantic game,
- 33:20Speaker 1: first series, sack tackra lost taker for loss. You're like, yo,
- 33:24Speaker 1: this man is real and we've seen it in spurts.
- 33:26Speaker 1: He had that huge hitting in Pittsburgh when he came
- 33:29Speaker 1: up and smacked that dude or not, I think it
- 33:30Speaker 1: was Naja Harris. He's had plays out there, he's he's
- 33:34Speaker 1: done it. But I want to see that Jamal Adams game.
- 33:36Speaker 1: I want to see him get a couple of sacks.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I'm praying this is the week he led he said,
- 33:40Speaker 1: an NFL record for defensive backs and sacks. And it's
- 33:43Speaker 1: not all about sacks, but it's about his impact and
- 33:45Speaker 1: effect on the game. And I want to see that
- 33:48Speaker 1: that patented that stamped LSU days New York Jets last season.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Jamal Adams. I'm hoping we see it on Sunday. Me too, Man,
- 33:56Speaker 1: Jamal Adams needs to make a play, Bobby needs to
- 33:58Speaker 1: make a play. Your pro bowlers need to play like
- 34:01Speaker 1: Pro bowlers, and your role players need to step up
- 34:04Speaker 1: and get it done. Getting to win this week, We'll
- 34:06Speaker 1: put the Seahawks in great position for a huge second
- 34:09Speaker 1: half run. Nas. Where can the people hear us? Oh,

- 34:53Speaker 1: Seahawks have a huge game, a huge mid term exam
- 34:56Speaker 1: at lambeau Field. Let's see if he can get it
- 34:58Speaker 1: right and get it done. Are officially in the second
