- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the Dog's Podcast, with your hosts, Lake Renaker, Justin Charles, and Josh All.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_03]: What's up, Browns fans?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back to another episode of the Dog's Podcast, Josh All Your Host.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_03]: As usual here, on A2's Day, another very cold Tuesday, in Ohio, coming off just a
- 0:37[SPEAKER_03]: at home on Sunday to the Tennessee Titans, the one win, one and freaking 11.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_03]: Tennessee Titans came into Cleveland and I mean, they pretty much just beat our ass the whole time.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I know the score ended up being a two point game in the end.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_03]: But for the vast majority of that game, they definitely had the upper hand and the control.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll talk about some stuff coming out of that game.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_03]: Got some injury things I want to dive into.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, we will be talking should do our Sanders and all of the news and stats and updates and everything that has come out since the game and what in my opinion was a very impressive.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_03]: performance for a rookie in his third ever start in the NFL.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_03]: And there are stats to verify that it was indeed impressive.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_03]: But before I dive into everything, oh, real quick, I did want to mention.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_03]: voicemails voicemails you guys thank you first of all if you tuned into our live stream when we did the watch party on Sunday It was a ton of fun.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_03]: I mean we live stream for like five hours on Sunday and you guys were there with us for the whole thing It was so much fun for a while it was very
- 1:45[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know the right word like we were kind of bummed that our feed that our YouTube TV broadcast because it was a local broadcast was behind everybody else out there watching on NFL Sunday ticket.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_03]: Your feeds, your broadcast were all ahead of us so you knew the chat knew what was happening in the game before we knew, but now talking to people after the fact and kind of thinking back on it, it was probably more entertaining for you guys.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: because you already knew what happened on a place and then you got to sit there and watch our reaction.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_03]: Having already you already knew what happened and then you get to see how we reacted to it.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_03]: So it was probably pretty fun that way and it was just a good time.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_03]: But we also did a live reaction show immediately following the game.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_03]: and did not have time to do any of the voicemails.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_03]: You guys sent in a ton of voicemails after that game.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_03]: So that's what we're doing today.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to talk about everything from the game, all this midweek stuff, and then the second part of the show, it's all you guys, it's all your voicemails.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_03]: So thank you for sending those in.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_03]: If you want to get your voicemails on the show, thoughts, opinions, questions, whatever, go to thedogspodcast.com tab, leave voicemail in the dropdown menu.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_03]: You can record a message.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_03]: and you get to listen to it back before you send it so if you don't like how it turns out or you want to re-record it you can just re-record it send it in send us in your final product and we'll do it here on the show for you and if you don't want your voice on the show that's not everybody's cup of tea I totally get it you can just type a message send it to us and we'll read it on the show just like we've done

- 4:03[SPEAKER_03]: who we should take, prospects, free agency, all that kind of stuff.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_03]: So it's going to be a ton of fun.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_03]: Make sure you guys are in there join the dogs dot com.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_03]: So let's kick things off.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_03]: Just going over some injury notes and news from the game on Sunday.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_03]: So first of all, we've got Ethan Posick.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, towards the killings in that game against the Titans, he is having surgery and he is obviously out for the rest of the season.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_03]: Like four games left, he's done.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_03]: Probably the last time we see Ethan Pocic play for the Brown, we're going to have a whole new offensive line for the most part probably next year and I doubt Pocic will be part of that.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_03]: We now have Luke Whipler, third year man out of Ohio State, gets a four game audition for the center job in 2026.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_03]: Can he take over and become that starting center?
- 4:53[SPEAKER_03]: Or is he just going to continue in his backup room?
- 4:55[SPEAKER_03]: Now, next year, we'll be the final year in his rookie deal, so it could be an interesting situation where he could play himself into a second contract extension with the Browns.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see how things play out, but encouragingly.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_03]: Luke Whipler played 24 snaps in relief for Ethan Posick on Sunday and mind you this was late in the game.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_03]: This was that fourth quarter when the Browns were down by 14 and they had to throw.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_03]: every like they had to pass.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_03]: There was really no option to run the ball.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_03]: There was no time to run the ball.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_03]: And even if we did have time, we couldn't run the frickin ball anyway against the Titans.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_03]: So the defense wasn't really playing the run.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_03]: Luke Whipler, 24 snaps, 23 of them.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like I just said, war pass blocking snaps and he allowed zero pressures.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's for a backup center coming in
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: zero pressures on 23 snaps in that situation.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's impressive.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_03]: He had a 74.4 run or pass block grade in those 24 snaps.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_03]: So encouraging to see Luke Whippler in relief.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_03]: Now we'll get to see him next week as the starter and moving forward as the starter.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_03]: Remember Luke Whippler was slated to be the backup.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: What was it last year?
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: And then he broke his ankle.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was
- 6:17[SPEAKER_03]: missed the whole season and all that.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_03]: So it's good to have him back and playing well.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_03]: Wyatt Teller.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_03]: same as last week, calf injury already ruled out for Sunday against the bears.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_03]: And again, I highly doubt that why it tell her ever plays another snap for the Browns at this point.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_03]: They have already, you know, they, they already made the move to Benchham to get a look at Tevin Jenkins, who I'm about to talk about because Tevin Jenkins led the entire team.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_03]: on Sunday with a 79.2 pass-bought gritty plate all 69 snaps and he allowed just three pressures with zero sacks.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_03]: So if Tevin Jenkins continues to play well, I'd be looking for the browns,
- 7:03[SPEAKER_03]: Possibly to get an extension done with him, maybe even before the season is over.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: That way, they're not screwing around when free agency rolls around.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_03]: They give him these last, you know, what?
- 7:13[SPEAKER_03]: I guess this would be five games to start, show what he can do for the team, and then give him injury barrier always does very good deals with these guys.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_03]: Seems to have a knack for getting them under contract to keep him in house, so I would not be surprised personally.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_03]: To see, and I've honestly been talking about this since they signed him in free agency last year.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: to see them get an extension done to get Tevin Jenkins in here, to be the starting right guard for the Browns next year.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_03]: Another guy to consider, and I know you guys will, I can hear it now.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_03]: Jaws are going to hit the floor when I mentioned this, but it's KT Leveston, and I know, I know I do it.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_03]: We, we all, we dog KT Leveston relentlessly.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_03]: Deservedly so, he sucks in the past block game.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to lie.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: but I've also been seeing this now pointed out over and over on social media by some of these film junkies that I follow and do a really good job breaking down the tape.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, Leviston does struggle in the past game.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: He's actually pretty good in the run blocking game.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: He was the highest graded lineman with a 64.4 run block grade on Sunday and he actually has a 69.7 run block grade for the entire season.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_03]: One of the highest on the team.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_03]: Now he has a 32.3 pass block grade for the season.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what kills in my opinion his potential.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: Like you gotta at least be
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: somewhat decent.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you don't have to be the best graded hat at everything to be on the field, but you can't have this situation where you're 69.7, run block rate, but then you're a 32.3 freaking pass block rate.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_03]: That's not even playable.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_03]: So I would love to see somehow that's got to come up for him to even be in consideration to be the swing tackle next year, but it is encouraging at least and I wanted to point it out that in the run blocking game, Leveston is actually pretty good.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_03]: I want to give credit where credit is due because I have torn this guy down relentlessly this entire season because I mean
- 9:20[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, last couple injury notes here, Denza Ward, David and Joku both got injured during the game on Sunday, both came out, but still at this point, no update yet on those injuries.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_03]: The first reports, practice reports and reports, all that stuff will come out tomorrow on Wednesday.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that pretty much does it for injuries, a couple stat things I wanted to point out real quick that have come out in the last couple days and that I've looked up.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns for being a three-wind team and making a mistake, I fully expect them to be a, this is gonna be second year with three wins.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_03]: I don't see a game on the schedule that they can win except for maybe.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe the Bengals game week 18.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_03]: That's incense and aty, their defense is terrible.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_03]: We seem to always play Joe Burrow.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I don't know.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see how it goes.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: But I wasn't bad on it.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, so for a 3-1 football team, there are some players on this team doing some incredible.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, historical things at least at the very least in Brown's franchise history.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_03]: And if you're new to the show, if you're new to the fan base, you're new to the Browns.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's a very storied history.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns go back to 1946.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_03]: They were one of the best teams in football for
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: long time, long stretches of time, and, you know, it's just since they, they moved to Baltimore, and then came back as an expansion team in 99 that they've been this suck-tastic pathetic abysmal, you know, joke of an organization.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_03]: Before that, they were really good.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_03]: So what we have, we have players doing things right now that is impressive in the scope of the entire history of the organization.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_03]: Carson Swesender, easily defensive rookie of the
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: This was a steel for the Browns.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_03]: I know they had to use the first pick in the second round.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_03]: It was basically you could look at like a late first trumpet, whatever.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_03]: You got the best defensive player in the draft, in my opinion.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_03]: at 33 Carson Swesinger now on the season has 111 tackles.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_03]: That is the most by a Browns rookie in franchise history.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: No rookie defender has had more tackles ever than Carson Swesinger.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_03]: And he is also just seven tackles away from becoming the Browns all time single season tackles
- 11:53[SPEAKER_03]: Right now, that spot is currently held by Dequel Jackson back in 2011, had 116 tackles in that season.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_03]: So seven tackles in the last four games here in Carson, Swesinger will be the new franchise leader all time, most tackles in a season.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_03]: I imagine that he gets that top spot on Sunday, given he's only seven tackles away from it.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_03]: And he has 10 or more tackles in seven out of the 13 games for the Browns this season.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_03]: And I think the fewest tackles he's had in a game might have been like seven.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: He's had games of eight, nine.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_03]: So he's been close to 10 or over 10 tackles a game.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_03]: Every game has a rookie.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_03]: And this is a guy that suffered a high ankle sprain.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_03]: a few weeks back or back, you know, whenever that was a Patriots game, whenever before the buy, never missed a snap, never missed a game.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_03]: He's he's unreal, Carson, Swesinger is a different type of football specimen.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_03]: He is unique and we are freaking lucky to be able to watch him in a Browns uniform.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_03]: So enjoy it.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_03]: Like I said, say these things about Miles Garrett home.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to talk about next.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_03]: The team sucks.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_03]: I get that.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_03]: The record blows.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_03]: We do stupid crap like we did on Sunday.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going to talk about that here in a minute.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_03]: But at the same time, there are still things to watch with this team that are exciting and that are going to be memorable and historic and you don't want to miss it.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: Carson Swesinger is one of those things.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_03]: The other thing, one of those other things, is Miles Garrett.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_03]: Now he only had one sack against Camor, the most sack quarterback, the offensive line that allows the most sacks in the NFL this year.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: Just one sack in the game?
- 13:46[SPEAKER_03]: I know.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: It sucked, but at the same time, the Titans did, in my opinion, they did a very good job game planning.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: against Miles Garrett.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: They said we're not letting him wreck this game for us.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_03]: Let's somebody else do it, but it's not going to be Miles.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: I appreciated their game plan, got to respect it.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_03]: They did a great job there.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_03]: Still had one stack on the on the day, put him at 20.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_03]: So 20 stacks for the season.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_03]: That's now the most in Brown's history for a single season.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, he's passing his own previous records of what's 16.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think he had two seasons of 16 and one of 15.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_03]: Those were already the most in Brown's franchise history for a single season.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: But now is it 20?
- 14:23[SPEAKER_03]: The big thing about hitting 20 is it makes him just the 13th player in NFL history to reach the 20 sack mark.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_03]: sense stat or a sense sacks became a an official stat.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_03]: And I believe that was in 1982.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_03]: So that's very impressive.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_03]: All the great defenders and edge rushers and past rush, all these guys that have played in the NFL only 13 of them have ever reached 20 sacks in a season.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_03]: Some of them have done it a couple of times, but only 13 guys have ever done it.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_03]: I should say only 12 guys have ever done it before now and he is now the 13th.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_03]: So hats off to miles, hats off to Carson, the Browns easily have de-roy and de-poi this year.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_03]: It just goes to show you the, you know, the old trope defense wins championships, not necessarily true.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_03]: There is a caveat.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_03]: You gotta be able to score because, again, defensive player of the year, defense of rookie of the year.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_03]: And we got three wins.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_03]: So, got to be able to score which takes me to the next guy.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_03]: We need to talk about here.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_03]: And this is what you guys have been wanting to hear about.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure speaks a lot to being able to score points on offense.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_03]: Even with the worst talent in the lead, the worst offensive line in the lead, should or Sanders.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_03]: This episode is sponsored by Body Sports.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_03]: Browns fans, we have had Christmas decorated all over the place since November, first that's right it is coming up very quickly Christmas time and the best thing you can do is get ahead of your gift giving list and go to
- 16:14[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously baseball season would be right around the corner in the spring.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_03]: They've got training balls.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_03]: They've got regular game baseballs, bats, baseball gloves, all sorts of basketballs and other gear pumps, ball bags, gym bags, things like that for your basketball players.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_03]: And then the gifts that I really like to give.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_03]: family members and people like that would be the backyard games get those for Christmas gifts because then they can hold onto those and break them out when the weather gets nice and it's like that Christmas gift that didn't get used right away Christmas and they get to experience that joy again later in the year bad mitten outdoor volleyball, bachi horses, kickball, they've got a knockout game set and of course pickleball which I know I've been saying on here I need to learn how to play
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't yet, but I do plan to learn at some point and I will be getting my first pickleball set from Bodden Sports.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_03]: So head over to BoddenSports.com slash dogs and get 10% off your entire order with promo code dogs DAWGS when you check out.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: That's BoddenSportsBADENSports.com slash dogs.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_03]: So Kevin's to fanski yesterday, press conference on Monday said he confirmed.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_03]: Should or Sanders will be the starting quarterback for the Browns for the remainder of the season.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_03]: So we have four games left.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_03]: Should or has already started three, that means he, as long as he doesn't get hurt, God, please don't let him get hurt.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_03]: We'll have a seven game sample.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_03]: A seven game sample, not quite half a season, but a seven game sample of what he can do.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_03]: Excuse me, heading into the offseason heading in 2026.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_03]: So, Shidorah Sanders, just recap it real quick on Sunday, was 23.42.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_03]: I believe that's what 54.8% completion, so not the highest completion percentage, but, you know, camward, the number one pick on the other side of the ball had a 50% completion rate.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_03]: He only had 117 passing yards in the game.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_03]: Shidorah Sanders had 364 passing yards.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_03]: in the game.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_03]: Shidorah Seniors had four total touchdowns.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_03]: He had three passing touchdowns and a rushing score.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_03]: He did throw one interception as a bad pick, but again, this is third start ever in the NFL.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_03]: If you're not expecting rookie mistakes to happen from a rookie in his third start, then you're just being unrealistic and you're probably a hater, which I got to
- 18:38[SPEAKER_03]: He has driving nuts.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_03]: A value weight the guy for what he is, a rookie in his third start, or just leave it at that.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even want to talk about draft position, all that stuff.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_03]: A rookie in his third start.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_03]: He also led the team in rushing.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: Let the team enrushing with 29 yards.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_03]: Now, 29 yards to lead the team enrushing is not impressive, but it's a testament to the fact we had no run game against the Titans.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_03]: Nothing.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: Quint Shawn Judkins, what was he a one, would Blake say a 1.4 average?
- 19:12[SPEAKER_03]: I forget what it was terrible.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_03]: Terrible, we did a wall on the 14.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_03]: And you only ended up with like 24 yards on the day.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_03]: Good.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_03]: It was terrible.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_03]: Browns could not run the ball.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_03]: Titans knew that.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_03]: And it was a situation that I think the Titans kind of approached it the way teams approach Dylan Gabriel games.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_03]: Of you beat us.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_03]: You rookie quarterback beat us.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_03]: We're not going to like when she on judge kids beat us.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_03]: We're not going to let you run game beat us.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_03]: You beat us.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_03]: And damn it should or standard should have beat them.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_03]: Should have beat them.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_03]: If Kevin doesn't make some really questionable stupid decisions, maybe he does.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe we win that game.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, obviously the defense shouldn't be given up 160 yards, Tony Pollard, and the special teams should not be letting Pants get blocked and letting guys return the ball to the 50.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_03]: But hey, we got a old team problem in Cleveland, but to get back to Shador Sanders here.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_03]: In that game, what he did, so impressive.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_03]: And here's some of the things that came out of that, right?
- 20:22[SPEAKER_03]: He's now the first rookie quarterback in the NFL this season to throw for 300 more yards in a game.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_03]: Third start.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_03]: Just as third start.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_03]: How many games is Tyler Schuck started now for the Saints?
- 20:34[SPEAKER_03]: He was a high second round pick, Cam Ward, number one pick in the draft.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_03]: Still has not thrown for 300 yards in a game, and he has played what are they now two and 11, so he's played 13 games, start at 13 games.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_03]: Jackson Darts, the faces of New York, the guy that we've talked a lot about on this show is I can't believe the Browns took Dilling E. but I don't thought he was higher on the board than Jackson Darts.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_03]: Jackson Darts has not thrown for 300 yards in a game.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_03]: And he started, I don't even know how many games he has started, four, five now, something like that, maybe six.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_03]: Three starts for Shodor.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's all it took.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_03]: Three sixty four.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_03]: Very impressive.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_03]: He is the only player since the NFL merger to have 350 or more yards and four total touchdowns in a single game within their first five starts.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_03]: Shodor Sanders only one.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_03]: Only guy to do this.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_03]: He is the first Browns quarterback to throw for more than 300 yards, three touchdowns, and rush for a touchdown, since nine, 15, 50, it's been 75 years since a Browns quarterback has done, what should it or Sanders just did on Sunday.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_03]: 364 passing yards is the third most passing yards by a Brown's rookie quarterback, ever.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_03]: Baker Mayfield had games of 397 and 376 during his rookie season, but here, listen to this.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_03]: So the most most passing yards where I Brown's rookie in a game.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_03]: 397 yards by Baker Mayfield in his ninth start.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_03]: and not then 376 yards by Baker Mayfield in his 13th start.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_03]: And then number three on the list all time, 364 yards by Shidorah Sanders in just his third start.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_03]: I know I've said third start a lot in this segment.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to pound this home for anybody out there that still doesn't get how special Sunday was, okay?
- 22:39[SPEAKER_03]: And we we said this in the reaction show.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_03]: We've I've posted this online.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_03]: Was it perfect?
- 22:43[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, wasn't perfect.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_03]: Did he make some mistakes?
- 22:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: Third start guys.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_03]: Third start.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_03]: That's that's what I love though.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_03]: We have seen significant improvement and I'm not just saying a little bit a significant improvement each time each game he's played.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_03]: including the Ravens game.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_03]: So he had one half of football and relief without any practice rest without any preparation really as far as that game plan went against the Ravens.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_03]: And what terrible.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, does just call it what it is.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_03]: He had a couple a couple of big throws in that game that I would say, hmm, okay, I'm excited for next week.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: But that those two quarters, they were not good.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_03]: We saw a lot of bad things from Shidorah Sanders and those two quarters.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_03]: And then the following week first start first week of prep first week of first team reps first experience even practicing with these guys that he's playing with and what does he do he becomes the first Browns quarterback since 1995 to win his first career start for Cleveland.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: broke a, what was it, 17 game losing streak by Brown's quarterbacks in their first career start.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_03]: 17 opportunities, we have had since 1995 for a guy to get a win and it hasn't happened until now.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_03]: So the Raiders game was good.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously there were a lot of things in that game and it's like, okay, we got things to work on.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_03]: So then we move forward to the 49ers game.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_03]: First home start for Shidorah Sanders and not perfect.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_03]: Has some nice plays though.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_03]: The throw, the deep throw to Harold Fanon for the touchdown made some plays.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_03]: Made some plays had it close.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_03]: Game was 10 to 8 until again.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_03]: Questionable coaching decisions.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_03]: Just kind of started to give things away.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_03]: You go forward on fourth and one from your own 33 and a 2.0.5
- 24:48[SPEAKER_03]: wasn't really necessary.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_03]: The play call was a, uh, you know, QB sneak motion in the rookie tight end to take his first ever career snap under center and he fumbles that you just, the coaching decisions.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to talk about that here in a map.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to talk about that here in a minute.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_03]: But it was stupid.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, I'm going to talk about that here in a minute.
- 25:03[UNKNOWN]: But it was stupid.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, I'm going to talk about that here in a minute.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_03]: But it was stupid.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_03]: So obviously, not a not a clean game for Shidorah.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_03]: There was some obviously some nice plays against the 49ers, and then things that, oh, man, he needs to work on that.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_03]: Miss Jerry Judy on a deep route twice in that game.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_03]: Flash forward now to the Titans game.
- 25:22[UNKNOWN]: Woo.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_03]: There's some improvements.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, you did Miss Jerry Judy on the deep one.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_03]: Got it, 60 yard touchdown.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_03]: Deep-side line pass to Harold Fannon, some nice plays where he's navigating the pocket waiting for guys to open up in the intermediate areas of the Fee Up Boom hit him.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_03]: The touchdown pass on the goal line to David and Joku, what a freaking ball placement throw that was.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_03]: And then throwing it up late in the game for Harold Fannon to come down with that touchdown to what should have been the tying score.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_03]: But there's been significant improvement from one game to the next, and that's why I'm so excited for these final four to see how he continues to improve.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_03]: So one thing I really need to address is where I was talking about the haters out there.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_03]: You should door haters.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about this.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, what's wrong with you guys?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_03]: What is wrong with you if you hate Shidorah Sanders?
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I understand if you're skeptical or if you know you've been a long time Browns fan you're like, I just need to see more.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_03]: I get that.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: I totally get, I'm not all about crowning somebody just because he had a good game for the Browns at the quarterback position.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_03]: And I admit that I'm guilty of this myself.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_03]: Do I have a probably a little bit more optimism and hope and hype for Shidorah Sanders just because I am a long time Browns fan that's never seen a franchise quarterback outside of Baker may feel for a few years?
- 26:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I admit that.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_03]: I admit that I am desperate for a franchise quarterback.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_03]: But it doesn't mean I'm not going to evaluate what I see on the field and be honest about it.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_03]: So what is wrong with you haters?
- 26:55[SPEAKER_03]: This guy should or Sanders have been nothing.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_03]: but the definition of franchise guys since he got to Cleveland.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_03]: We said this back in the summer.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_03]: We said if Shador Sanders turns out to be the quarterback on the field that we've been looking for, then we have hit the jackpot, because this guy is everything that you want, the face of your franchise to be off the field, and in the media.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_03]: He's been perfect, he's been great, he's involved in the communities, helping people out, he's working with high school kids, he's helping this, he's doing that charity,
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: And then when he talks to the media, it's never about him and they try to bait him into all kinds of stuff about the coaching staff, Kevin Stephansky, this and that will not take the bait will not, he's he's been so good at it, I really like him.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_03]: I really like him.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_03]: And now what these haters are trying to do, if you're not online or if you are and you've seen this, I'm sure.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_03]: They're trying to tear down this performance on Sunday with this argument about yards after catch, basically what they're saying should or Sanders 364 passing yards are not impressive or somehow they're not valid because 251 of those yards came after the catch.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_03]: They're calling him a check-down merchant, which is what everybody called Dylan Gabriel, because he was, but now they're trying to do the same thing with Shador and clearly
- 28:23[SPEAKER_03]: these people, they did not watch the game or again, they just hate him, and they just hate him.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_03]: Because on the reverse side of this, 156 of his yards were from 10 beyond 10 yards down the field.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_03]: OK?
- 28:39[SPEAKER_03]: That's significant, especially in this Browns offense.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_03]: You guys got to remember, we don't have receivers.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_03]: You want him to throw the ball down the field and get a lot of his yards down field.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_03]: Who the hell to?
- 28:50[SPEAKER_03]: To who?
- 28:53[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody, there's no, we don't have an alpha number one receiver.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have a go-to guy.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have a, hey, we're in a pinch, just throw it to this guy, he'll be open.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have that.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_03]: So again, they just, another testament of what he's doing is very impressive.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_03]: Either way, whether it's down the field or it's short, you know, right around the line of skirmish or it's behind line skirmish, it doesn't matter, the quarterback still has to make the throw.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_03]: You still have to get the ball to your guy to let him make a play.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_03]: and put him in position to do what he does.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_03]: And I went back and I wanted to see, okay, who are some of these other like 300 plus yard games from quarterbacks to this season?
- 29:30[SPEAKER_03]: And what total of their yardage came after the catch?
- 29:35[SPEAKER_03]: For guys after the catch, week 12, I found this.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_03]: Patrick Mahomes had 352 yards, 229 of those came after the catch.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_03]: pretty much the same ratio as what Shidorah had.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_03]: Jordan love in week eight had 360 yards, 246 of them were after the catch.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_03]: Same as what Shidorah had.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_03]: Week five, Baker may field, through for 379 yards, and 200 of them came after the catch.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_03]: So that's not weird.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's not.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_03]: it's not abnormal for this to be the case if a quarterbacks getting yardage it doesn't matter if he has a hundred yards in a game or four hundred yards in a game.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: Good amount of those yards are going to come from a receiver catching the ball and the yards they pick up after they caught it.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_03]: So we football works.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like sometimes I'm explaining football to people who don't watch it.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: and that a lot of times I think that's probably what these people are out there who just hate for no reason like to probably don't even watch football and realize that yeah you might throw a 15 yard pass to Justin Jefferson and it turns into a 34 yard play overall because you hit him and stride and he was able to take it and run it or he broke a tack or whatever.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_03]: But that's what these guys do.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_03]: So whatever, it's just, I think it's so weird that people are gonna go this far to hate on him just for doing things that is normal in the NFL.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_03]: And doing things that NFL quarterbacks do, and speaking of what other NFL quarterbacks do, or at least what other NFL quarterbacks are supposed to do.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_03]: I just real quick, wanna point out,
- 31:21[SPEAKER_03]: That Deshawn or the, I'm sorry, I kind of gave that away.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_03]: Shoulder Sanders is doing what the Browns thought and hoped Deshawn Watson would do when they traded three first round picks to get him and paid him $230 million guaranteed.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_03]: What should or standard just did on Sunday and it's third start is what they wanted and thought that this one was going to provide for this team for this offense.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_03]: So between the two.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_03]: The Sean Watson has had 19 starts in Cleveland.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_03]: He has zero 300 yard passing games.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: He has zero games with four touchdowns and has passer rating since he got to Cleveland in those 19 starts, 80.7.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_03]: Shador Sanders, in just three starts.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go again with the three starts.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: He now has one 300 yard passing game and one game with four touchdowns and his passer rating,
- 32:21[SPEAKER_03]: in the the three starts and two quarters against the Ravens 80.9 to Sean Watson was an 80.7 over 19 stars should or Sanders in three and a half games 80.9.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_03]: I think the Browns got the franchise quarterbacks.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_03]: Just my opinion.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_03]: I know it's only been three starts.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_03]: Not trying to jump the gun or put the the cart before the horse all that kind of stuff would have everyone a call.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_03]: Man, I like what I see out there.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: I like what I see and it's it changes the way I watch browns games now for these final four because if you guys were with us during the live watch party on Sunday when the Titans went up 31 17
- 33:02[SPEAKER_03]: I forget how much time was left in the game, but I said that's game.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_03]: That's game.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_03]: I called game when it was 21 to 17 because I said this offense is not capable of generating more than 17 points.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_03]: We have already hit our limit, we've hit our cap, we don't generate more than 17 and we sure is hell are not going to generate enough to get back up to 31.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_03]: I was predicating that on the offense before Shador, because with Joe Flacco and Dylan
- 33:31[SPEAKER_03]: I have to watch these games a little more differently now because with Shidorah Sanders, the potential to score more than 17 points is very real.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_03]: We saw what he was able to do, bring the Browns back at the end of that game in the fourth quarter.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_03]: and a game that should have been tied should have been tied should have been tied and going to overtime and I want to talk about that two point conversion I want to talk about the two point decision making because I've seen a couple people that I don't think there's very many.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think there's a whole lot of Kevin supporters left out there but there's a couple and they're very loud on social media and especially on X.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_03]: and they are tripping all over themselves.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_03]: Fumlin just fallen face first trying desperately to defend the decision making of going for two when you were only down by 14.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll just I'll just tell you what what their defense argument is the defense argument is along the lines of okay you're down by 14 you score touchdown you go for two because you're playing to win the game not tie first mistake right there playing to win and not tie we'll talk about that so you go for two and then if you get it you know that on the next score you can just kick the extra point and you win because you that's 15.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_03]: And then if you don't get it, then on the next touch down, you know you have to go for two to get the tie.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_03]: Super flawed.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_03]: Like that is in no way, in my opinion, is that a good defense argument for what happened on Sunday?
- 35:11[SPEAKER_03]: Not at all, and here's why.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns do not have the offensive personnel to ever play for the win in that situation.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: ever.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_03]: You're down by 14.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's 31 to 17 and we already know you average 16.2 points per game on the season and that is with defensive scores included.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: You do not play for the win with this offense.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_03]: What are you playing with?
- 35:40[SPEAKER_03]: Who's going to who are you playing for the win with?
- 35:43[SPEAKER_03]: Gage Lover Dan.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry, practice squad, gauge Lover Dan.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_03]: Come on guys.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_03]: You kick the extra
- 35:51[SPEAKER_03]: You give yourselves an opportunity if by some miracle you're able to score another touchdown because before you should do our Sanders, that was an impossibility.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_03]: But if by some miracle, you can score a touchdown.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: Now you can kick the extra point to tie it up.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: And the other thing too, you know what?
- 36:10[SPEAKER_03]: So you go out there on the first score and you off to kick the PAT and you miss it.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_03]: Say Andre Smith comes out and he misses the extra point.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_03]: I just, this is not a team that has the luxury of walking up to the two yard line and saying we're going to run a two point conversion here because we got a pretty good chance to get in it.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_03]: No, you don't.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_03]: You suck.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_03]: You, you suck.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have good players.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_03]: You're lucky that you're even in this game.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_03]: After what your defense is, allow them to do to you.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_03]: you want to go for two.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_03]: Just idiotic.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely idiotic.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_03]: And then I want to go talk about that.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_03]: So that whole argument right there is just flawed to me.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like, don't tell me about trying to play for the win or the one person that really defense Kevin and everything he does and every decision that he makes was like, well, every team of the NFL does this.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_03]: If they're down by 14 and the second half, every NFL team does this, they go for two.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_03]: I would like to see some data on that because I would put money on the other.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think every NFL team does that in every situation.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think if you're trying to be, if you've got to be hyperbolic and exaggerate to try to make your defense argument, you've already lost.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_03]: Like you're already, it's just a bad argument to begin with.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_03]: Two point conversion end of the game, play call.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen, I saw like, you manual auto's breakdown, I posted it on X, I've seen other people break it down.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_03]: It was open.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_03]: It was.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: It was.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: The play design was open.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_03]: The players in that play design should have never warranted that play called being made.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_03]: Ever.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: Ever.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_03]: Listen guys,
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: And the the all 22 the film review of the 2020 vision looking back on the game everything like I get I get it and and it was open Okay The play design work the running backs sweeps it out to the right and flips it to the receiver come back the other way there was a crease
- 38:21[SPEAKER_03]: There was a creason, like I think I think it was Ocho was saying, like it looked like Larva Dam was going to have the option to either run it in or throw it in.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_03]: So you had a guy blocking, I figured who it was, and he could be either released and been open in the end zone, but there was also a lane where Larva Dam could have just run it in.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, that is all fair.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_03]: But for what it's worth, I don't care if it looked like the play was going to work.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_03]: your leader and the guy who just scored two times in the last three minutes for you to get you in this position.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_03]: You took that guy off the field to put the ball into the hands of your rookie running back.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_03]: This is the most high pressure situation this guy has ever been in.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_03]: You're running a
- 39:17[SPEAKER_03]: get this, you have a chance.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_03]: Don't get this, it's over.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_03]: You just lost to the worst team in football.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: You're putting the pressure on your rookie running back to execute a reverse sweep pitch that he's never run in a game before.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_03]: You would rather do that than put the ball in the hands of your
- 39:43[SPEAKER_03]: These are the decisions I'm talking about, like this is, and this is an analytical discussion as well.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_03]: We could have just for a quick sidebar.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_03]: analytics probably said, this place should work.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_03]: And if you go and you look at the the replay and the design and everything, it should have worked.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_03]: So the analytics were correct in that avenue.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_03]: And I know there's a lot of people out there will say the Browns need to get rid of analytics.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_03]: Quit using analytics and just we need football people and all this football stuff.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_03]: And I agree and I know what you're saying.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_03]: And there's people that will say you're stupid for saying that.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not, I'm not one of those people.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_03]: I think what you mean when you say the browsing to get rid of analytics, I think what you mean is the reality they need to stop using analytics exclusively.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_03]: stop using analytics to make every decision.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: Blake said this on Sunday.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_03]: Don't have a problem with analytics as a tool.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_03]: Because every team uses analytics, analytics is so important you have to have them.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_03]: You, they will help you make the right decision in a lot of situations, but they cannot be your crutch.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_03]: You cannot lean on analytics to make the decision for you all the time.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_03]: that's the problem with the way the Brown Jews analytics stop it you have to have football minded people in football situations to know one we have the moment to right now to Shador Sanders is on fire he's playing out of his mind let's do this he's going to put this ball in the end zone we're getting this two point convert like he's not going to walk out here without doing it that should trump your analytical argument of running that play
- 41:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's the situation they were in.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_03]: It was the game on the line and the analytics said, choose your wildcat fake reverse toss from your rookie running back to your practice squad wide receiver.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_03]: Now, if this was a seasoned veteran running back or running back that has done this type of play before and has practiced in a game in a situation where you need two points or whatever to score and he's done this and you've seen it happen and he's executed it before.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_03]: Or you've got a wide receiver, you know, who it's Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson or somebody that's they actually know what they're doing on the field like maybe it's okay to run this type of play.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_03]: But in this situation under this pressure, you're going to put the ball in the hands of a rookie running back and a practice quad receiver.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_03]: That's the issue.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_03]: That's the problem with analytics.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_03]: And it leads to this bad coaching, this bad coaching decisions.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_03]: So, all right, we're going to take quick break.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_03]: Come back hit your voice mouse.

- 43:36[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to have to correct me in your next voicemail.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pretty sure you said Bahamas in your original first voicemail, but we love hearing from you Kia here's number one.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's clear how I'm recording this during half time, guys.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_04]: Judy did the thing I wanted him to do after last week when I just, you know, clown on this name, he finally caught the ball and then fumbled and he caught the 60-yard bomb into the end, so thank God.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_04]: I waited for that.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_04]: Now, we're just going to see the second half of this game.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_04]: Please, he all fingers crossed.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, fingers crossed.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: I love when people send in voicemails during the game because then she follows up with the voicemail from after the game, which, yeah, you know what?
- 44:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'll just play that right now.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_05]: It's under Nivell, Kevin, the sabotage in the game, y'all.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_05]: It's under Nivell.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_05]: She thought her three passing touchdowns, not a rushing touchdown.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_05]: Are we still lost?
- 44:27[SPEAKER_05]: I, I'm shaking right now because we're supposed to win.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_05]: This is a winable game.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_05]: Go on, Kevin, please.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_05]: Jimmy, if I can't have a bump on out, please.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, thank you for the voicemails.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I don't think, I also don't blame anybody for thinking this or looking at things this way, but I don't think Kevin is purposely trying to, like, sabotage should dore.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_03]: I just, let's put this way.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_03]: If you're here because you're just a should door fan, which that's fine, we appreciate you guys.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to the Browns fan base.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_03]: Let me educate you guys just real quick on some history here.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_03]: Kevin Staphinski is making these, he's made dumb ass boneheaded coaching decisions all six years he's been here.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_03]: Whether it was Baker Mayfield, Kobe Percets, Deshawn, James, Dity, it didn't matter.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_03]: Kevin has made some of the most moronic decisions and we have also never been able to properly execute fourth down fourth in short two-point conversion like go to go kind of plays like they have been really bad we have we have they have been poorly executed under Kevin's defense he for six years now like any Browns fan that's been around for a long time and especially for these last six years of his tenure will tell you the same.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_03]: So, I don't know how I don't know if it's so much sabotaging Shador as, this is just Kevin, this is just Kevin Stofansky, it's, he does stupid things like this and it goes back to what I just talked about a little bit to go about the analytics stuff.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_03]: This is what analytics is telling him to do, rather than just using football instinct in the moment of a game and saying, let me, let me evaluate where we are in the moment, what's their players doing right now?
- 46:16[SPEAKER_03]: What are our players doing?
- 46:17[SPEAKER_03]: Who's hot, who's cold, who's this,
- 46:19[SPEAKER_03]: Because no sane person would take Shidorah Sanders out on the, you know, two-point conversion and got to get this or the game is overplay.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_03]: No sane, rational football-minded person would ever do that.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_03]: But analytics would tell you, hey, this running back reverse sweep pitch to your practice squad receiver should work.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_03]: I shouldn't even say practice.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's just who we have run in the play.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_03]: It was a bad decision all around, but Kia, thank you for the voicemails and then real quick, I just did wanna mention it.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_03]: It was great to see Jerry Judy finally come through, catch a long touch down, run it in, everything.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_03]: I was talking to my dad after the game and I said, you know, I'm gonna sound like old man, get off my lawn guy here.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_03]: But, and maybe this is probably just stupid.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_03]: I had a problem with the way he finished that play.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he caught it and he broke away from the defender and he's kind of looking back to see where he is and so he starts slowing down, sort of like jog walking to the end zone to get right in front of the goal line so he can do a front flip into the end zone.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_03]: Like, is that necessary, Jerry, you know, two weeks ago, you caught a wide open past on the sideline and you were running, you did some dipshitter remove where you got the ball punched out from behind you and you fumbled because you were trying to do something splashy or whatever.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe just run it into the end zone.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe just just make sure you get there before you sell it.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care if you celebrate after you get into the end zone.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_03]: But like we've seen how many players over the last, you know, several years have dropped the ball just short of the goal line.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_03]: And there's a being a fumble and the other team gets the ball the 20 and all this kind of stuff.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_03]: Like Jerry Junge is the type of player to do something stupid like that.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_03]: Like just just score, just just score.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care what you do after you score.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_03]: Go celebrate.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_03]: That's great.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_03]: You got a nice touchdown pass.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have to front flip into the end zone?
- 48:15[SPEAKER_03]: You leave the league and drops.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_03]: This is your second touch down the entire year.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_03]: You're supposed to be our wide receiver one, and you're getting outpaste significantly by a rookie tight end.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe don't front for lip-in to the end.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_03]: So I just, just my personal opinion.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure a lot of people out there can be like, oh, you're just, you're being stupid.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_03]: You're a head or whatever.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just telling you guys, I didn't like it.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't like it.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_03]: I thought, hey, how about you just score and then celebrate instead of being a dumb ass, but
- 48:42[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just not a Jerry Judy guy, but whatever.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_03]: Alright, let's move on, this next one's for Mick.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_02]: Hey y'all, it's Mick from San Diego, Kevin Sofansky, he needs to be fired immediately or needs to end of season, something, but he's the reason we lost today.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: Special teams continually being bad, had coaches fault.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_02]: Our team can't tackle, on an ADR dressing, direct reflection of the coaching staff.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: Why are we going for two?
- 49:09[SPEAKER_02]: So early, we had four minutes left, we go for two, miss it, and then our second two point conversion.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_02]: was, it was bad.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_02]: If he just kicked the extra point, now we're tied and we go to overtime.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and by the way, for the second two-point conversion, we decide not to have Shudor in their bad play.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: But uh, yep, the door is the answer.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want any more who's the quarterback next week.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty clear cut.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_02]: Who the quarterback is for their remainder of the season?
- 49:37[SPEAKER_02]: For the off season, we need to online, water series, like I've been posting on X, Facebook, insert all the socials, stop moving the goal post form, use the quarterback, and now we need to start building around them.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: All of our draft picks have hit this year, so we just need to work on that, or get stronger in their free agency.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: Go Browns.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_03]: All right, make appreciate the voicemail.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_03]: As always, agree with you 100% it's time to build around this kid.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I know it's only been three stars like I said earlier and he's got four games left to go this season and it's going to be interesting because the four games remaining three of them are against playoff.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_03]: team so that we got the bears and the bills coming up.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: So there are two playoff teams right there and then you've got the Steelers who are currently leading the AFC North.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_03]: So that's currently a playoff team right there and then obviously we end with the bangles.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_03]: So this last four games is there's going to be good competition.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see what you can do.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_03]: Continue to to develop and continue to show growth in each game and all that kind of stuff.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_03]: Do I expect every game to be 360-4 and 4?
- 50:37[SPEAKER_03]: Hail no guys.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_03]: We got a temper expectations.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to have a rough game down the stretch I bet.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, every quarter back has rough games.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's about the next one.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_03]: How do you respond?
- 50:49[SPEAKER_03]: How do you bounce back?
- 50:51[SPEAKER_03]: So let him take his lumps, but I do agree with him.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_03]: We got to start building around him because
- 50:57[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't think I can stomach wasting another first round pick on a quarterback when we've got a guy who's already shown that he's worth investing in for a fifth round contract.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_03]: Listen, we, the press don't get many opportunities like this.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_03]: We don't get a whole lot of good breaks to go our way.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_03]: This could be a huge one to help us get out from the disaster of Deshawn Watson.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_03]: So let's take it when it's sitting here for us.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_03]: Tony, next up.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, y'all found y'all for an exhaust cord back.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_08]: Y'all needs to get online, get a wide receivers.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe you grab a couple of piece on defense, but in a free agency, maybe get,
- 51:39[SPEAKER_08]: a veteran while I receive it at the win, maybe Sharda will get Tyreka something, because he's going to be knowing my enemy.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_08]: But then give some ol' line.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_08]: That's it, y'all find a quarterback.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_08]: He stands in the pocket, takes those hits.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_08]: He did this in college.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_08]: He's poised.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_08]: The only thing I would think to do, I would keep Sebastian's camera, and this is the reason.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_08]: It's because the worst thing you can do is change play colors.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_08]: He has to learn a whole new language.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_08]: I know you got a tired of them, but if you don't get some better pieces, you might have just some better team.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_08]: The only thing that is disheartening is they really try to make us not believe it or not.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_08]: We didn't watch Sidor play every game of college because it was on TV and watch them ball.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_08]: and this is what we get when it should work those of all over 20 times.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_08]: Three hundred yards, I know it's the Titans, but he can do this against anybody, especially as he learns, so you can see him improving, improving every week.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_08]: So, y'all find you a quarterback, I'll keep the Savannah hand on them.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_08]: I think the play called for going for two with stupid and first place we should have just tried to go for the win, but yeah man, y'all find you a quarterback and y'all be a fool
- 52:53[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Tony.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_03]: I couldn't agree more of already said it a bunch on this show, but I do think we have found our quarterback.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_03]: And I do think we would be very stupid to not move forward with that in mind.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_03]: And you might be the only person calling in here ever to say that we should keep Kevin's defense getting this coaching staff.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_03]: But I understand you're reasoning behind it.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_03]: I really do.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_03]: I look at at least currently that
- 53:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think what's more crucial for Shador's future in Cleveland is the front office and having Andrew Barry and his people stay, not so much the coaching staff because from all accounts and reports and just the way things have played out since the draft.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_03]: Shador Sanders was definitely an Andrew Barry decision and if that really is truly the case,
- 53:42[SPEAKER_03]: Then I'm okay with keeping Andrew Barry and letting him have another offseason because of how I we've said this before like this draft class has looked good I'm not willing to just say okay I forgive Andrew Barry for the last five drafts just because he had one good one but if you also found your franchise quarterback in the fifth round of this draft along with Carson Swesinger and Mason Graham and Quintron Juckins and Harold Fanon and Dylan Samson okay okay
- 54:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'm back.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm on board.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see what you can do next year.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so I think I think Andrew Barry's more pertinent to Shidorah's future as the starting quarterback than Kevin, but I take your point.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_03]: Now we go to our cheerful buddy, Brad Moneymaker.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_09]: Why do I root for a team that constantly puts me in this misery of suffering?
- 54:37[SPEAKER_09]: God.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_09]: I hate this team so much, but I love it at the same time.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_09]: It'd all look good, but like arrest the team complete ass.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_09]: Kevin, pack your bag and I'm gonna go fuck off my game.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_09]: That was terrible.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_09]: What was that?
- 54:52[SPEAKER_09]: It's ass play calling half the time.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_09]: I know, it's time to ref probably, but I guarantee you sometimes, Kevin takes spit over, and that's where the overcomputated bullshit comes in.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_09]: Defense, where the hell were you all gay?
- 55:06[SPEAKER_09]: He's letting the titans run all over you, one win titan's team, like what the hell is that shit?
- 55:11[SPEAKER_09]: Special teams, I, we very talked about this, just deep frown ass, being so angry with the scene, but I'll watch you again next week, because I'm a massacre for the suffering.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_09]: God, hate this team, let's go Browns, what's rough?
- 55:34[SPEAKER_03]: That is exactly how Browns fans are, man.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like you're, yeah, we are glutton for punishment.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_03]: We hate this team, damn it, I can't wait till next Sunday, you know, that's just the way it is, man, you're Browns fan, you're fanatic for this team and it's a little bit insane, but that's just how it goes.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_03]: I have seen the people say, well, you know, well, Tommy Reese is the play caller.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_03]: So Kevin didn't call that two point conversion.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, come on.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_03]: This is the NFL.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_03]: Do you really think that any offensive coordinator on any team in this league on a play that is for the game, two point conversion for the game does not run the play that they're going, that the call they're going to make.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_03]: They run that by the head coach.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like they all, they all were on the headsets.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_03]: You're telling me Kevin didn't have any input or give the okay to run that play, come on, come on.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_03]: He even said after the game that was his call, he makes all the calls.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_03]: I know he's just trying to cover and not throw any buddy under the bus, but at the same time he didn't want that play to be run.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_03]: He would have called something different or told time it to pick something different.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_03]: That's just how it works.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_03]: And then to go back real quick to something,
- 56:50[SPEAKER_03]: Anybody out there saying, if you're trying to tell you like all or what should or did, it wasn't that great, it was against the Titans.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's just the Titans.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_03]: Who are we?
- 57:00[SPEAKER_03]: We're the Cleveland Browns.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_03]: That's right, we are the worst team in the league.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_03]: We lost to the one in 11 Tennessee Titans.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_03]: We only have three wins on the season.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_03]: We have the worst offense in the league.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_03]: No receivers, no line, nothing.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_03]: Don't tell me it was just the Tennessee Titans.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_03]: Cause we are just
- 57:18[SPEAKER_03]: the Cleveland Browns, let's move over here to Justin.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_02]: Woo!
- 57:24[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, let's go Browns, just lost to the worst team in the NFL.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_06]: The regardless of record that officially makes us, the Cleveland clowns, the worst team in the NFL.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_06]: Your friendly neighborhood Browns fan here in Jersey.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_06]: It's Justin again, it's just a brutal game to watch.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_06]: Why was Chador Sanders not in on that two-point conversion?
- 57:43[SPEAKER_06]: Just ripped a fat pass to fan in for a touchdown to get us, possibly able to win it.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_06]: And they should, they do a wild cat with Tommy Reese play calling, horrible, unbelievable.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_06]: And the defense can be fired.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely needs fired because you can't play him in on the offensive coordinator anymore.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_06]: Because why do we move it to him?
- 57:59[SPEAKER_06]: Because the fanski sucked.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_06]: So the fanski's no good offensive coordinator, no good.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_06]: Why were we running not running the ball up 1714 in a freezing cold snowy game?
- 58:10[SPEAKER_06]: We could have had that game mid mid in the fourth quarter with up at least three points and just warm out, warm out on defense.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_06]: Anyway, unbelievable, I'm absolutely unbelievable.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_06]: Let's go Browns.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks, Justin, always appreciate your voice mails.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_03]: I'd have to go back.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_03]: I can't remember off top of my head how the second half there, the back half of the third quarter into the fourth was going and everything as far as running the ball.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_03]: But if I remember correctly, we came out of half time and we had some success running the ball in that first drive, I think.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_03]: Because I remember being happy with how we were running the ball and then they took it away.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_03]: From my memory, it just felt like the Titans were not going to let us run the ball.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_03]: And it was like I said earlier in the show.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_03]: Shoulder you're going to have to beat us and damn it.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_03]: He should have he should have yes the decision making was terrible I think the coaching staff all sealed their fate in this game.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean you can't come out against the Tennessee Titans and let them just Spank your ass up and down the field on offense Meaning our defense getting absolutely humiliated out there Jim Schwartz.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_03]: That's
- 59:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's not acceptable.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_03]: That team average 14.2 points per game throughout the season.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_03]: That, I don't know if you guys realize this.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_03]: 31 points to the tendency Titans.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's the most they've scored in any game this season.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_03]: Against your Vaunted number one NFL elite defense, Cleveland Browns, not any more guys, not any more.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_03]: That's embarrassing, no pride, just,
- 59:52[SPEAKER_03]: Just pathetic.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_03]: So I think I think it's sealed everybody's fate.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see how things go as a season wraps up.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_03]: Couple more here.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_03]: This one's from Davante.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, guys.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_07]: It's here fire Kevin.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_07]: Like fire Kevin at this point because there's no way that you could say this is going to be open competition.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_07]: There's no way that you could then say Dylan Gabriel's attitude or no way you could then not be committal to him, but you see what he did against this thing.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_07]: You seen it even after the inner circle he came back and led the team down.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_07]: What's the last time you seen the clip of the morale score to back do that?
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_07]: and actually gave hope when the score was too full for their score game and you pulled that bull crap at the end, I play video games, you guys have seen it in the discord, I put my twitch stream in there, you simply go for the points.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_07]: He had to wash your whole state last night and said, let me one up, you might fellow or
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_07]: I feel bad for Chicago.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_07]: I feel bad for miles.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_07]: I feel bad for the saying because if we're pissed, they're beyond pissed.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, Devante, I've said this multiple times now in the show.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to keep repeating, but I totally agree.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_03]: I anybody out there trying to defend that decision to go for two after the first score.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_03]: What are you thinking?
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_03]: The thought process doesn't make sense even if it did, even if analytically speaking.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_03]: The numbers, the data would say go for two after that first score because of whatever the argument might be whatever stupid reasoning you can come up with.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have the players, we don't have the players to be in that position to say, well, we're just going to go for two because if we don't get it, we'll get it next time.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_03]: No, you won't.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have the players.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have the luxury to do that.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_03]: You take the points when they're there for you to take tired of talking about this because I feel like 98% of you guys out there agree that that was the dumbest decision you could possibly make.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_03]: There are people out there that agreed with it, and I don't freaking get it.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_03]: Devante always appreciate hearing from you, man.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_03]: Last voice mail today is from Valentin.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, what's up, guys?
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_00]: This is Valentin Culling in from Switzerland.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_00]: huge ground fan for like seven years been following the brands for almost every day.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm really involved what the team is doing and love what you guys are doing with the podcast.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_00]: So my question is, what do you think is gonna happen in the upcoming draft if the Brown Society to draft a quarterback in the first round?
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_00]: So Mendoza, more Simpson, take your pick.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_00]: What will happen to the current rookie quarterback?
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_00]: will they keep both of them?
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_00]: Will they be involved in a trade?
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_00]: Can they even afford to keep all of them because they still have to show on Watson on the payroll if I think next year he's still going to be on the roster?
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_00]: So what is your take on that?
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_00]: What is going to be the move that the bronzer doing?
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_00]: Have a great rest of the year and go Browns.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_03]: Valentine all the way from Switzerland man.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for the voicemail.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_03]: We appreciate that love how global This podcast is we got listeners everywhere and that's just because browns fans are everywhere browns fans people outside the fanbase Just don't get how special this fanbase is You guys are worldwide.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_03]: We are spread everywhere and we root for this team every free consent even when they do stupid crap like last week and Stupid crap that this team could do in the future in my opinion
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_03]: would be taking a quarter back in the first round.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_03]: You don't need to do it.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_03]: This is, I'm telling you guys right now, I was talking to my dad after every game talking, and that's what I said.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_03]: If the Browns decide they're going to take a first round quarter back, they're going to, you would have to trade Shador, because you cannot let him start the seven games and show what he has shown, show that he is an NFL caliber starter.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_03]: At the minimum, he is an NFL caliber
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_03]: Now, whether or not he's an actual franchise quarterback, he still has to continue to grow and develop and prove that, but he is at least shown that he can start in this league and play football games.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_03]: You would have to trade him most likely because there would be people now.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_03]: I would imagine who would be interested, who would be coming to call and say, hey, you just took this quarterback in the first round, what are you doing?
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_03]: Shoulder, what are you doing?
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_03]: Shoulder, we'll give you this or that or the other, let's get him on our squad.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_03]: If they go down this road, I'm telling you right now is a long-time Browns fan, exactly what would happen.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_03]: Should Dorsanders would go to another team and end up being one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_03]: No doubt in my mind.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_03]: None.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_03]: Tell me you guys in the comments if you think I'm crazy or if you've been a long-time fan if you think the same thing.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_03]: If the Browns move on from Should Dorsanders and he goes somewhere else, he will definitely 100% be one of the top quarterbacks in the league.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_03]: That's just how it works for us.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_03]: So as far as the first round quarterbacks are concerned, kind of touched on this on Sunday during the lives.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_03]: Fernando Mendoza is going to require a trade up to number one.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_03]: Whoever has number one is going to take Fernando Mendoza.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_03]: So if it titans end up with the number one pick, they're going to be trading that thing for a haul from the jets, or the saints, or the raiders, or somebody, there's going to be multiple teams.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_03]: And if the Browns are in that category, or they're in that group of teams fighting and
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to drive out the price because they're, like I said, there's going to be at least three, maybe 14, maybe even SL mock from PFF the other day.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_03]: They had the Rams trading up from 10 to go get Fernando Mendoza as the air parent to Matthew Stafford.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_03]: There are teams that are going to want him.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_03]: So you're going to be in a bidding war.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_03]: The cost to move up is going to be high.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_03]: because the Browns won't have the number one pick in the draft.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, not by our own doing, but by what other teams like who's ahead of us now?
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's the Titans, the Saints, the Raiders, I think.
- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't have any confidence in them winning a lot of ball games to move us up.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_03]: So you'd have to move up to get him.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'll side him in, Dosa.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_03]: I'm good.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'm good on Simpson.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_03]: Nah, I've seen the struggles here recently.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think Ty Simpson from Alabama could definitely use another year in college.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_03]: I do.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_03]: Dante Moore, I like what I've seen.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_03]: There've been some things here in there.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, for always, he looks like a really good quarterback project, but he might go back.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_03]: He's got eligibility, he might return.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_03]: I know Oregon's trying to get him to come back for 2026, and he could also benefit from another year.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_03]: in college instead of just being a projected first round pick he could come out next year in 2027 and be like the number one pick solidified kind of the way Fernando Mendoza is looked at right now.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_03]: I just I haven't seen anything from any of these quarterbacks outside of maybe Mendoza that looks like it could offer more on the field for the Browns than what Shador's already shown.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_03]: So why not just roll with the fifth round pick and build around him.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_03]: So that's what I would do in the draft.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_03]: Get some receivers, get some offensive linemen.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_03]: Don't you dare take a fricking defensive player in the top.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: 100 picks, Andrew Barry.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm telling you right now, that will piss me off immediately.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_03]: We need offense in the worst way, so.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully that's what we do in the draft and again we'll be talking draft, we'll be talking prospects and rankings and trades and free agency, maybe a head coaching, search, coordinator, search, all that stuff.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_03]: all that stuff all off season.
