- 0:02Today,
- 0:02let life meet you with surprise and delights and open
- 0:07yourself up to the possibility that something really magical can happen.
- 0:22Hello and welcome back to Remember Why You're Here,
- 0:26a podcast for seekers and sensitives where you can relax, receive,
- 0:30reconnect to yourself, and remember the most important thing of all,
- 0:35why you're here. Lately,
- 0:39everything has been coming to fruition here in my garden.
- 0:44All the trees are finally leafed out and the canopy has closed,
- 0:49and we're transitioning from the spring ephemeral aspect
- 0:54of the bloom time into the summer blooms.
- 0:57It really feels like we're entering the summer here.
- 1:00And I've been reflecting a lot as we transition from April into
- 1:05May on just what exactly that transition is and how it often
- 1:10feels in my body.
- 1:11It often feels like moving from this time of
- 1:16breaking opening and rushing in into a little bit more
- 1:21of a settling into that Taurus season energy.
- 1:26And the reading for this may,
- 1:29the intuitive reading for this may really brought that home for me.
- 1:33And I've been thinking a lot about what I shared in that reading in
- 1:38terms of the river space that we're walking
- 1:43into now,
- 1:45this opportunity for more peace,
- 1:49for more rest,
- 1:52for allowing the rush to
- 1:57calm for a little bit.
- 1:59And it was reminding me of this transmission that I shared now several years ago
- 2:04where I talked about this one word,
- 2:06this word that I keep at the center of my altar that is
- 2:11often very helpful for me,
- 2:14especially in transition points and times where I feel like I'm moving from one
- 2:18phase into another,
- 2:21when I experience overwhelm of the world around me or
- 2:26overwhelm in my life when it feels like there's so much on the to-do list.
- 2:30This one word, I've realized if I could pick a word that's my soul word,
- 2:34it's going to be this word. And so I was inspired to share this
- 2:39transmission again as we enter into this month of May,
- 2:43because I think that this is a word that we need now more than ever
- 2:48in this world. So settle in,
- 2:53give yourself some time and space,
- 2:56and let's drop into this one word that could heal
- 3:01everything.
- 3:04I was being interviewed a while ago and the interviewer asked me this really
- 3:08interesting question. They said,
- 3:10"What is one word that has guided your life up to this point?" And I really took
- 3:15my time thinking about this,
- 3:17and then I knew if I could only choose one word to be the guide for
- 3:22my life, it would be possibility.
- 3:26I once had a Chinese medicine practitioner share this really interesting tidbit
- 3:31of information with me. From a Chinese medicine perspective,
- 3:34when someone dies of old age,
- 3:37what's really happening is that their heart stops believing in possibilities.
- 3:42So when that person has died of old age,
- 3:45what's really going on is that their heart no longer sees any possibilities for
- 3:49that lifetime, and so their spirit departs.
- 3:53This really struck me on a deep level when I heard this story.
- 3:57In a very tangible way,
- 3:59possibility opens our hearts to the experience of life.
- 4:03Possibility is the very thing that makes life worth living,
- 4:09that gives our spirit something to live for on this planet.
- 4:13The opposite of possibility is feeling stagnant, trapped, or stuck.
- 4:19And from my perspective, this is one of the worst feelings on earth,
- 4:23but you know that when you feel that sense of stagnancy or stuckness,
- 4:28what's really going on is your spirit is asking you to see and
- 4:32perceive possibility again. So I know that for me,
- 4:37possibility has been such an important word in my life.
- 4:41When I was in my early 20s and I was diagnosed with a chronic pain condition,
- 4:45possibility was the word that kept me searching for answers.
- 4:50It was the word that kept me believing that healing was possible.
- 4:54Even when I was told by doctors that there was nothing I could do and that this
- 4:58chronic pain would be with me for the rest of my life. Possibility was something
- 5:03I held onto and ultimately that belief and possibility was the thing that
- 5:08healed me.
- 5:09Possibility isn't necessarily receiving an answer or having
- 5:14everything magically resolve itself in your life,
- 5:17but possibility is asking this question,
- 5:20"What opportunities are here for me?
- 5:23" Possibility is looking at a dead end and seeing that the path continues.
- 5:28It is being able to embrace the gifts or the lessons of any
- 5:33experience in your life and knowing that healing in whatever form that takes
- 5:38is always possible.
- 5:40Possibility opens our heart to the truth of life's wonder.
- 5:45It increases all in our life.
- 5:47It opens the portal of our perception to see the way nature sees.
- 5:52When a tree falls in a forest, that's just the beginning of more possibilities.
- 5:57It's the beginning of flowers that can spring up,
- 6:00a space opening up for other trees to come in. The earth sees in
- 6:05shades of possibility and is always asking us to see in those shades of
- 6:09possibility as well because when we can be in a mindset of possibility,
- 6:13we can also start to perceive new ideas and innovations that can come in to
- 6:18help heal this world because here's the secret,
- 6:22there's always possibility.
- 6:26Even when someone passes away from old age because their heart stops believing
- 6:30in the possibilities of this lifetime,
- 6:33that heart opens up in a wider way to the possibilities beyond death.
- 6:38And in that same way,
- 6:39we are being asked to peer beyond what we see as dead ends
- 6:44or fatalism on this earth and start to believe in the possibility of
- 6:49healing, the possibility of regeneration,
- 6:52the possibility of a new cycle starting here on earth.
- 6:56So you can create this sense of possibility in your life by asking yourself this
- 7:01question. "In my dream of dreams, what would be possible for me?
- 7:07" You can start with the big view of your life as a whole,
- 7:10but you can also ask yourself this on a day-to-day basis.
- 7:13"In my dream of dreams, what would be possible for this day?
- 7:17What kind of joy or magic or adventure can I call into this day?
- 7:22One of the best ways to create this sense of possibility in your day is to go on
- 7:27an adventure.
- 7:28So go to a bookstore you've never been before or walk in a new area of the city
- 7:33you've never visited. Anytime we take an adventure and we expand our perception,
- 7:38we step out of our daily routines,
- 7:40we're opening ourselves up to greater possibility. So today,
- 7:45let life meet you with surprise and delights and open
- 7:50yourself up to the possibility that something really magical could happen.
- 7:55And if you ever struggle with seeing that possibility for yourself or the wider
- 8:00world,
- 8:01just go out in nature and let the earth show you what's possible.
- 8:06And this is exactly what my book Mirrors in the Earth is about.
- 8:10This book was written to help you see yourself through the
- 8:15reflection of nature,
- 8:17to understand who you are and the role you're meant to play on this planet and
- 8:21to start believing in possibilities again because the earth has never stopped
- 8:26believing in the possibilities of healing, of regeneration.
- 8:31And it's our role to start believing in possibility again,
- 8:34not only within our own lives, but within the earth as a whole.
- 8:41So always curious to hear
- 8:44from you about what's moving in your life.
- 8:47You can leave a comment here if you're in a space where you can leave comments
- 8:51or head over to my website, asiasuler.com/remember.
- 8:54And I would love to hear what is one possibility for you in life
- 8:59right now. For me,
- 9:02we recently went through a bit of a health scare
- 9:07arc with my daughter that was overwhelming and challenging,
- 9:11but also really gave us some answers to some things that we've been trying to
- 9:16figure out for her and for our family now for years.
- 9:20And I'm realizing that even within the
- 9:25hardship of that experience,
- 9:28there was this possibility that came out of it,
- 9:31this possibility of more clarity, this possibility of more information,
- 9:34this possibility of healing that didn't exist before.
- 9:38And I just want to mention this because I think so often when we see
- 9:43things go awry, go off the rails,
- 9:47we tend to feel like that closes down possibility. And
- 9:52instead, I think there's actually another way to look at it,
- 9:54which is that when things don't go as planned,
- 9:59it's actually not about taking away more possibilities for us.
- 10:02It's about opening us up to see the possibilities that we weren't able to
- 10:06glimpse before.
- 10:07And if we can approach the things that fall apart in our lives from that
- 10:10perspective, so much healing becomes possible. Now,
- 10:15I don't always have that at the center of my awareness,
- 10:18especially when I'm in the midst of something that's very overwhelming,
- 10:21but it's much easier for me to look back
- 10:26on those times where I was in the thick of it and really see the possibility.
- 10:29And so wherever you're at in your life,
- 10:31whether you're in the thick of something or you're able to look back with even
- 10:35just a step ahead,
- 10:36if you're resting perhaps in a river bend this month and
- 10:42able to look back on the waterfall of some aspect of your past,
- 10:46just take a moment to notice what possibilities arose out of that because
- 10:51I promise that there were possibilities that came from that that simply didn't
- 10:55exist before. Not only is your life filled with possibilities,
- 10:59but you yourself are a possibility in this world. This is why you were born,
- 11:04this is why you exist. You are possibility itself for this planet.
- 11:09And just by connecting to this word for yourself and within your life,
- 11:13you can also connect to the possibility that you carry for this world.
- 11:19So if you enjoy this episode,
- 11:21if you are liking this podcast and what it brings to your world,
- 11:25it would just mean so much to me.
- 11:27If you took a moment to leave a rating or review,
- 11:30it takes about two seconds to just press that little star button and it sends so
- 11:35much fairy dust my way. Thank you, thank you,
- 11:38thank you for everyone who has done this so far. It just really means so much.
- 11:43And as you step into seeing the possibilities despite it all
- 11:48in this month and this time ahead,
- 11:50may it help you remember that most important thing of all,
- 11:54why you're here.
