- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice Sugar Spice. Hello, Helloallollo, Hello, Welcome to the Naughty
- 0:17Speaker 1: but Nic Show. I'm your host Rob. Joining us today
- 0:19Speaker 1: is our dear friend Mark loopo Loopy loopy lupy. Hey
- 0:23Speaker 1: are you there? Hey? Amazon best selling Arthur believing my
- 0:30Speaker 1: book came out this week. I am number eleven on
- 0:33Speaker 1: Amazon charts. I'm just in front of Tina Fae Mark,
- 0:37Speaker 1: what is Gabby got? What is going on? But totally
- 0:41Speaker 1: not surprised and very well deserved. Thank you, my friend.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I worked really hard on this and I didn't necessarily
- 0:47Speaker 1: do it to sell a lot of books. Yes, this
- 0:49Speaker 1: is lovely. I just thought if I sold one or two,
- 0:53Speaker 1: you know, I'd be Okay. It's overwhelming. So if you're
- 0:56Speaker 1: trying to order the book, the foreward answer in my
- 0:58Speaker 1: new book, there are shortages. Keep trying. They've promised me.
- 1:02Speaker 1: They are rushing a second printing of the Bookmark just
- 1:05Speaker 1: in a few days. Apparently there are factories somewhere in
- 1:08Speaker 1: the York pumping out more copies of this book because
- 1:11Speaker 1: we nearly sold out. So thank you, thank you, thank you,
- 1:14Speaker 1: thank you. Hey, Let's get on with the show, because
- 1:16Speaker 1: we've got a turn off. Celebrity gossip. What time is it,
- 1:19Speaker 1: my friends? It is thank you, Mark Darling. So Arianna
- 1:23Speaker 1: Grande is saying a stalker threatened to kill her. So
- 1:29Speaker 1: Arianna is claiming somebody with a knife with the knife
- 1:33Speaker 1: at home in early September. These new disturbing details are
- 1:39Speaker 1: just emerging now TMC got hold of the legal documents.
- 1:43Speaker 1: The man was arrested for allegedly pulling a knife on
- 1:46Speaker 1: the Pop Stars security team and threatening to kill her.
- 1:52Speaker 1: In the restraining order, Arianna has made it very clear
- 1:55Speaker 1: that he has terrorized her for the last several months.
- 1:59Speaker 1: We didn't about this, but this has been going on
- 2:01Speaker 1: for several months and it escalated to the incident in
- 2:05Speaker 1: September when security asked him to leave the premises. He
- 2:09Speaker 1: got onto the premises mark with the knife, which she
- 2:14Speaker 1: was home at the time. She was on site. He
- 2:17Speaker 1: became I rate and started to scream I'm effing going
- 2:21Speaker 1: to kill you and her. In a report by the
- 2:24Speaker 1: l a p D that I saw, they were quite
- 2:27Speaker 1: shocked what they saw at the scene when they arrested him,
- 2:31Speaker 1: actually making the police put in a report saying that
- 2:35Speaker 1: this stalker is really dangerous and they feared that if
- 2:39Speaker 1: he was released from prison, he would probably do the
- 2:42Speaker 1: same thing again. And Arianna finally put out a statement
- 2:46Speaker 1: saying the following quote, it's heartbreaking quote. I am fearful
- 2:49Speaker 1: for my safety and the safety of my family. I
- 2:53Speaker 1: fear that, absent a restraining order, Mr Brown, that's the
- 2:57Speaker 1: guy will continue to come to my home an attempt
- 3:01Speaker 1: to physically harm or murder me and members of my family.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Mark this is explosively, explosive, awful. You know, it reminds
- 3:10Speaker 1: me of so many other celebrities, like Kendall Jenner who
- 3:14Speaker 1: recently had so many problems with stalkers coming into her home,
- 3:17Speaker 1: even swimming in the pool, the family pool. You think
- 3:20Speaker 1: about Versaci getting shot at his front door. You know,
- 3:23Speaker 1: it's like, is this the price of fame? Do you
- 3:26Speaker 1: to revisit the way we handle celebrity MM very interesting
- 3:30Speaker 1: and we'll get to that question in a moment. Just
- 3:33Speaker 1: a personal story here. I was at a SuperStar's house.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I'm not going to say his name, but I was
- 3:37Speaker 1: at a SuperStar's house. I was staying there overnight and
- 3:41Speaker 1: he's a friend and that's why I don't want to
- 3:43Speaker 1: mention who he is. But he had a new album
- 3:46Speaker 1: out and he was live in concert. I woke up,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I went to the front door. I opened the door.
- 3:51Speaker 1: The album was there. Life was crossed out and dead. Mark.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it's just in a private house. This
- 3:59Speaker 1: was in a lobby and a fancy building in New
- 4:02Speaker 1: York where anybody can drop off a package. This is
- 4:04Speaker 1: in a private house. They've got on the property. Oh
- 4:07Speaker 1: my god, the driveway, Mark awful. I mean, part of
- 4:12Speaker 1: me wanted to run back to New York. Part of
- 4:14Speaker 1: me wanted to stay there and help my friend. But
- 4:17Speaker 1: then get this, Mark. Security had to move into the house.
- 4:20Speaker 1: There weren't men with guns in that house for over
- 4:25Speaker 1: a month. It's just so terrifying, and that you know
- 4:30Speaker 1: you can't. That's the lifestyle, like you'll always have to
- 4:32Speaker 1: think about will someone come after me? Is someone to
- 4:35Speaker 1: be in my home? It's it's terrifying. You make an
- 4:38Speaker 1: excellent point, and it brings us to our whole question
- 4:40Speaker 1: of the day. Ariana Grande is alleging that a stalker
- 4:43Speaker 1: threatened to kill her. Do we need stronger anti stalker laws?
- 4:50Speaker 1: Go vote on a Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob.
- 4:52Speaker 1: At facebook page is Naughty Gossip. You can leave a
- 4:55Speaker 1: comment there and be sure to check back tomorrow for
- 4:58Speaker 1: your results. Although I think I where you're gonna go,
- 5:00Speaker 1: But check back tomorrow, Mark Love, what are you working
- 5:03Speaker 1: on alright? So on a much lighter note, goodness, Thank goodness,
- 5:07Speaker 1: Jake Jillenhall is walking back his controversial comments about bathing. Okay, So,
- 5:14Speaker 1: in case you missed this from Jake says he finds
- 5:17Speaker 1: regular bathing to be less necessary as he gets older.
- 5:24Speaker 1: So this comment sparked an intense to bait about personal
- 5:26Speaker 1: hygiene online, and Jake went on to say that he
- 5:29Speaker 1: thinks there's a whole world of not bathing that is
- 5:32Speaker 1: also really helpful for the skin maintenance, and that we
- 5:35Speaker 1: naturally are able to clean ourselves and Rob, you know
- 5:38Speaker 1: how I feel about a good shower. I showered before
- 5:41Speaker 1: the show. I'll probably shower two more times later today.
- 5:46Speaker 1: What do you think about this? I just feel so dirty.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I actually took your tip this morning, Mark, I had
- 5:51Speaker 1: a shammer before the show too, and I feel more alive.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I mean, I'm normally pretty hyper on the show, but
- 5:56Speaker 1: today I'm particularly hyper with the news about my book
- 5:59Speaker 1: and the fact I'm fresh as a daisy. I'm very,
- 6:02Speaker 1: very higher today I don't know about this. I feel
- 6:05Speaker 1: better personally when I feel clean, and there's something almost
- 6:09Speaker 1: therapeutic forget forget just the dirt and the hygiene of
- 6:13Speaker 1: it to wash off all the day or your troubles.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Sometimes I jump in a shower if I'm having a
- 6:18Speaker 1: bad moment and I feel like I'm just washing all
- 6:21Speaker 1: my troubles away. Mark, what's the most showers you've had?
- 6:25Speaker 1: You love a shower in a day? I would say
- 6:27Speaker 1: probably for I mean three is not unusual for me,
- 6:31Speaker 1: like morning, midday and then before bed. Yeah? Do you
- 6:35Speaker 1: always have a shower before bed as well as in
- 6:37Speaker 1: the morning? Always? Well, listen, we live in New York City, right,
- 6:39Speaker 1: so you're out outsighting smell people? Are you know near
- 6:43Speaker 1: you a subway? I can't go to bed without showering? No, nowhere?
- 6:48Speaker 1: What a bat? And this is a little cheeky. I
- 6:49Speaker 1: hope Doris your mommy is not listening. Mark. If you
- 6:51Speaker 1: need a handsome gentleman in a bar and we go
- 6:54Speaker 1: back to Castle LOOPO for a kissy poo on that
- 6:56Speaker 1: couch behind you, do you have a shower before the kiss?
- 7:00Speaker 1: It depends on how how far we're going with that kiss.
- 7:03Speaker 1: But I've always preferred. Yes, I always preferred to take
- 7:06Speaker 1: a shower before anything that goes down. Would you like
- 7:09Speaker 1: him to take a shower too? I will usually prefer that,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and we together if we have to, Oh that's would
- 7:15Speaker 1: you actually have the hutspa to say, hey, whatever your
- 7:19Speaker 1: name is, I've just met you. Know, I'm being silly.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Why friend, why don't you jump in the shower? I
- 7:23Speaker 1: have and I will know. Yeah, I have boots, a
- 7:26Speaker 1: bossy bossy boots moving a log. Harry Omegan and are
- 7:30Speaker 1: coming to New York. So they're gonna make an appearance
- 7:33Speaker 1: at the Global Citizen Live event on Saturday. But I
- 7:36Speaker 1: believe they're actually coming in a little early because they're
- 7:39Speaker 1: gonna go down and visit one World Trade Observatory, which
- 7:43Speaker 1: is at the top of the World Trade Center. I've
- 7:46Speaker 1: actually been there, Mark. I went with my friend Elvis Durrant. Hey, Elvis, Hello, hello, Hello,
- 7:51Speaker 1: thank you for having me on your show. Yesterday. I
- 7:53Speaker 1: went on Elvis Durrand's morning show and I was on
- 7:55Speaker 1: eight o'clock. I did twenty five minutes. And he's the
- 7:58Speaker 1: reason that this book is in the top twenty. Such
- 8:02Speaker 1: a friend, I mean, I went in to talk about
- 8:05Speaker 1: gossip and to catch up. Oh no, no, no, all
- 8:08Speaker 1: he did was talking about this book. He read it,
- 8:11Speaker 1: he bought it, he came prepared. Elvis, you are such
- 8:14Speaker 1: a friend. Thank you, thank you, thank you. But back
- 8:16Speaker 1: to Harry and Megan. How do you think they will
- 8:18Speaker 1: be welcomed in New York? I think pretty well. I
- 8:21Speaker 1: think it'd be lovely to see them. What do you think? Oh? Yeah,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I think New York is ready for them. You know,
- 8:25Speaker 1: like I've said, I've met Megan before in New York City.
- 8:28Speaker 1: You know, she's she's someone I think that is better
- 8:31Speaker 1: received in the US than maybe in the UK right now.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Oh but you do you think she's actually better received
- 8:37Speaker 1: in New York than l A? Or is she? She's
- 8:39Speaker 1: an l A girl. She's got that l A vibe.
- 8:41Speaker 1: She's very beachy, her hair's very very la. What do
- 8:44Speaker 1: you think, Mark, she's not the New York girl, She's
- 8:46Speaker 1: more l A in my mind. Yes, she's an l
- 8:48Speaker 1: A girl. But what I love about Megan is that
- 8:51Speaker 1: she's a chameleon. She can kind of sheep shift into
- 8:53Speaker 1: whatever environment she has to be in. So I can
- 8:56Speaker 1: see her wearing like a whole dark outfit, just storming around, yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 1: New York, in New York. Yeah, she's putting away all
- 9:03Speaker 1: the all the sort of flowery dresses. All those have
- 9:06Speaker 1: gone about all those beach dresses. Mom, She's not bringing them.
- 9:09Speaker 1: She's going to bring like a purple power suits. Yes, exactly.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You watch She's going to be fabulous in New York.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Little legallys We don't do that often on this show.
- 9:18Speaker 1: What's going on with Brad and Angeliba? Oh my gosh,
- 9:21Speaker 1: so Brad and Angelina. It seems like this nasty custody
- 9:24Speaker 1: battle will never end, So it's gonna Angelina Jolie has
- 9:30Speaker 1: now accused Brad Pitt of trying to use his celebrity
- 9:33Speaker 1: to win special treatment in their long running custody battle.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So Brad's attorneys have launched a bid to overturn a
- 9:40Speaker 1: decision to dismiss the judge overseeing the custody fight. But Angeline,
- 9:44Speaker 1: this team is retaliating, saying this is the last ditched
- 9:48Speaker 1: effort by a celebrity litigant seeking special treatment is not
- 9:52Speaker 1: what this court's limited review resources are for now. Rob
- 9:56Speaker 1: Back in June, Brad was awarded joint custody of the
- 10:00Speaker 1: chidren A decision that Angelina vowed to fight. She claimed
- 10:04Speaker 1: that her three children wanted to testify against Brad, but
- 10:08Speaker 1: we're blocked from doing so by the private judge to
- 10:11Speaker 1: whom Brad and Angelina initially agreed to and also marry them.
- 10:15Speaker 1: In two this is a friend of theirs. This judge
- 10:18Speaker 1: married them. So they both agreed to this judge. They
- 10:20Speaker 1: knew him very well. So my thing is this, Rob,
- 10:23Speaker 1: I felt this resolved until the kids are like forty
- 10:26Speaker 1: years old. I mean this is I don't see any
- 10:29Speaker 1: I don't see any resolution, and say, what do you think.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I think that's her strategy. I think Angelina is going
- 10:33Speaker 1: to play at the clock on this and throw up
- 10:35Speaker 1: legal arguments. So the kids are gonna be twenty and
- 10:38Speaker 1: by then they're probably not going to know their dad.
- 10:40Speaker 1: He wants this to be over now. He wants to
- 10:42Speaker 1: get back involved in his children's lives. We know, anybody
- 10:45Speaker 1: that has children or have children in their family, you know,
- 10:50Speaker 1: they grow up really fast and if you're not around,
- 10:52Speaker 1: they're going to move on pretty fast too. And so
- 10:55Speaker 1: I want Brad back in their lives. He wants to
- 10:56Speaker 1: be in their lives. It feels to me like Angie's
- 10:58Speaker 1: throwing up every legal arguments she can, but it is some.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's quite an argument to claim he's
- 11:06Speaker 1: using his celebrity when she's Angelina Jolie. There's a lot
- 11:11Speaker 1: of celebrity here all the way around, and I would
- 11:14Speaker 1: argue if they both weren't he as famous, this would
- 11:17Speaker 1: probably be over by now. But everybody's treading very carefully
- 11:20Speaker 1: the whole legal system because you've got two superstars and
- 11:23Speaker 1: the eyes of the world on this case. You two
- 11:27Speaker 1: getting together for the kids. Stop fighting. It's not about
- 11:30Speaker 1: you too, It's about those children. Quickly before we go
- 11:34Speaker 1: to break, Patrick Swazie hated his iconic line and dancing.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I know. So Jennifer Gray is talking with Yah Who,
- 11:45Speaker 1: and she said, Patrick Who died of cancer in two
- 11:49Speaker 1: thousand and nine, he was strongly against saying, quote, nobody
- 11:54Speaker 1: puts baby in the corner. It's such a famous live
- 11:59Speaker 1: it's pop culture history. Really, So Jennifer went on to
- 12:03Speaker 1: add Patrick didn't want to say it, and she didn't
- 12:07Speaker 1: blame him. He thought the line was call let me
- 12:14Speaker 1: hear you say it, Mark, nobody puts baby in the corner.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Let's hear you. Nobody puts baby in the corner. It's
- 12:21Speaker 1: all about the inflection and just the intent. It's it's
- 12:24Speaker 1: a little corny, but listen, it lives on right its
- 12:29Speaker 1: all of us. It's a little cord Have you ever
- 12:31Speaker 1: been asked to do something at your job in your
- 12:34Speaker 1: workplace that you didn't want to do, that you didn't
- 12:36Speaker 1: want to say? Have you been asked to send an
- 12:38Speaker 1: email or give a note to somebody? Mark? As a producer,
- 12:41Speaker 1: you're on some big, big shows. Mark, have you ever
- 12:44Speaker 1: had to give a note that you're like, Oh, I
- 12:46Speaker 1: don't know if I want to do this. Yeah, and
- 12:48Speaker 1: it's it's kind of it stinks and you have to
- 12:51Speaker 1: do it and you want to trust your gut. But
- 12:52Speaker 1: in this particular moment, I think that he was wrong.
- 12:55Speaker 1: The line lives on. It's infamous, it's famous, and it's
- 12:58Speaker 1: it's something that I'll laugh and think about. So I'm
- 13:01Speaker 1: glad it worked out. It's a great line. Hey, we're
- 13:04Speaker 1: gonna take a quick break here and we'll be right back.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Show with Rob Shooter,
- 13:14Speaker 1: who's the best selling author. Mark, I can say this
- 13:19Speaker 1: for the for the rest of my life, it's going
- 13:21Speaker 1: to be on my tombstone best selling author. I'm so
- 13:24Speaker 1: so proud, And of course we have a dear friend,
- 13:27Speaker 1: Mark Lupo, Hey Lupy, let's get to the poles. Why
- 13:35Speaker 1: do you play again? Mark? Is it the trumpet? The viola?
- 13:37Speaker 1: Viola viola? It's very unusual instrument, isn't it. I it's
- 13:41Speaker 1: not quite a violin. It's it's like a chubby violin.
- 13:44Speaker 1: That's chubby violin after the step sistory. It's just how
- 13:48Speaker 1: did you end up with the viola? Was it all
- 13:50Speaker 1: that was available? It was the one that was free,
- 13:53Speaker 1: so I gave my parents stores Doris. Doris, Well, I'm
- 14:00Speaker 1: sure you're marvelous. One day we'll have a recital. So
- 14:03Speaker 1: let's get to our pause. Kelly River revealed the intimate
- 14:07Speaker 1: way the handsome Martin Swayler's Oh my goodness, he's so hard,
- 14:10Speaker 1: how he quotes, takes care, wink wing of their issues.
- 14:14Speaker 1: We know how he does that. Thank you, Kelly. Is
- 14:17Speaker 1: this too much information or not enough? Let's have a look.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Oh why the naughties don't like talking about sex or
- 14:26Speaker 1: hearing it like my goods off? Seventies six percent said
- 14:30Speaker 1: it is too much. I know you're going to disagree.
- 14:33Speaker 1: What do you think? I think too much? But never enough.
- 14:37Speaker 1: You have a bit of a Christian Mark. You see
- 14:40Speaker 1: him unlive this week every every day. Like him better
- 14:45Speaker 1: than Ryan. I know that sounds noughty. Ryan's brilliant on
- 14:48Speaker 1: that show, and Ryane is so talented. But there's something
- 14:50Speaker 1: about a married couple bickering. You can tell the mornings
- 14:54Speaker 1: they've had a little disagreement home, or I can see
- 14:56Speaker 1: the head if he's not made the bed. She's like,
- 15:00Speaker 1: you know, he hasn't put things in the dishwasher. I
- 15:04Speaker 1: think they're great together. Who do you prefer? Do you
- 15:06Speaker 1: prefer her with with Mark or with Ryan? I like
- 15:10Speaker 1: when Mark drops in every now and again. I want
- 15:13Speaker 1: I want like space from him. But then when he
- 15:15Speaker 1: comes to get really excited because the beautiful couple, you
- 15:18Speaker 1: know interesting. Yes, a little goes a long way, doesn't it,
- 15:21Speaker 1: And it makes you really look forward to when he's there.
- 15:24Speaker 1: So seventies six percent said too much. I agree with you.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Don't forget to vote on today's Paul. Go to my
- 15:32Speaker 1: Twitter page had Naughty nice Robber or a Facebook page
- 15:35Speaker 1: which he is naughty gossip and be sure to check
- 15:37Speaker 1: back tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's time
- 15:41Speaker 1: for the nicest of the day. Oh, Robert's Patricia Heaton.
- 15:48Speaker 1: She's revealing that she's now sober. So Patricia Heaton says
- 15:52Speaker 1: she had a drunken moment in front of her sons
- 15:54Speaker 1: which led her to get sober. At tipping point came
- 15:57Speaker 1: when she was visiting one of her sons in Nashville
- 16:00Speaker 1: and they went to a dinner party at his home.
- 16:02Speaker 1: She brought a few bottles of wine and drank a lot,
- 16:05Speaker 1: and Patricia was making a joke at the table and
- 16:07Speaker 1: started saying, you know, in our family, it's a tradition,
- 16:11Speaker 1: and she said, I could not pronounce the word tradition.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I tried three times and I could not say the
- 16:16Speaker 1: word so rob The next day, she went to breakfast
- 16:19Speaker 1: with a friend who was sober, and she said, well,
- 16:21Speaker 1: you're the first person I'm telling us to but this
- 16:24Speaker 1: is my first day of never drinking again. And she's
- 16:27Speaker 1: disrober for three years since. Wow, good for you, Patricia
- 16:31Speaker 1: heat And this is your own personal journey, isn't it
- 16:34Speaker 1: If I stopped drinking because I couldn't pronounce the word well,
- 16:38Speaker 1: I mean, I wouldn't ever drink anything. Every day, I'm
- 16:40Speaker 1: always mispronouncing stuff, so we have a different sort of
- 16:43Speaker 1: bar of acceptable behavior. I've had nights out when I've
- 16:47Speaker 1: drank too much and done stuff that I've been ashamed of,
- 16:49Speaker 1: which are much much deeper crimes than mispronouncing our word.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I'm ashamed to say. But Mark, if you've ever had
- 16:58Speaker 1: that moment when you're like, I shouldn't have drank that much, Yes,
- 17:02Speaker 1: I do, and I can relate to not being able
- 17:05Speaker 1: to pronounce a word or other things. I feel like
- 17:08Speaker 1: this is more like almost like an amateurist moves like
- 17:12Speaker 1: this is a Tuesday. Yes, we have different bars haves
- 17:18Speaker 1: of it, and I'm saying find the right one for you. Patricia,
- 17:21Speaker 1: You're the nicest of the day, and naughtiest of the
- 17:25Speaker 1: day is the Bachelor in Paradise has been forced to
- 17:29Speaker 1: evacuate as serious tropical storms approach. Now the naughtiest of
- 17:35Speaker 1: the day are people on Twitter who don't seem to
- 17:38Speaker 1: care about this, and one person wrote, it's just a
- 17:41Speaker 1: tropical storm. No, you gotta be saved. These are really dangerous.
- 17:47Speaker 1: The world is changing. We've seen this recently on the
- 17:51Speaker 1: news and all the devastation it's better to get out
- 17:55Speaker 1: before the storm approaches than to sit and then regret
- 18:01Speaker 1: it and naughtiest of the day. And now it's time
- 18:04Speaker 1: for a moment of rob. You get a ROB sponsored.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I'm still gonna say it. They're still they're still sponsoring
- 18:11Speaker 1: us a new book. Bargo was so excited. It's so excited,
- 18:17Speaker 1: bog So if you're trying to order the forward answer
- 18:20Speaker 1: my new book, keep trying, honestly. Within hours, they are
- 18:23Speaker 1: printing more copies as we speak. They didn't believe in
- 18:26Speaker 1: US noughties as much as they should have, so they
- 18:29Speaker 1: only printed up several thousand copies. They got snapped up
- 18:32Speaker 1: in like two or three hours more. It's unbelievable. And
- 18:35Speaker 1: so now they're printing them like crazy. I know they
- 18:39Speaker 1: got a phone call from Barnes and Noble and Amazon
- 18:43Speaker 1: begging for more books, like we need more booking, begging
- 18:47Speaker 1: for more box I've got two under my bed. It's
- 18:50Speaker 1: got enough. We need more books. So they're printing them
- 18:52Speaker 1: like crazy. Thank you, thank you, thank you. So did
- 18:54Speaker 1: he talk me? The most important person in your life
- 18:57Speaker 1: is you were, which is why you have to test
- 19:00Speaker 1: in yourself when people don't treat you like you are important.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Leave them. They've got to go investing yourself, because if
- 19:09Speaker 1: you don't do the work, you don't deserve the results.
- 19:15Speaker 1: That's tough love to love, but it's true. Mark. This week,
- 19:19Speaker 1: I've been promoting the book like crazy, going on different
- 19:21Speaker 1: TV shows today. I'm on Good Day York, come on
- 19:23Speaker 1: Access Hollywood Live their afternoon show today too. So I'm
- 19:26Speaker 1: doing tons of TV. Before every show, I schedule an
- 19:29Speaker 1: hour to prepare. I don't wing it, I don't turn up.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I don't have a drink and just think I can
- 19:34Speaker 1: get by skate by. I sit down and I research,
- 19:38Speaker 1: I think about it. I find what I want to say.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I practice in front of a mirror. Celebrities, big stars
- 19:44Speaker 1: do this. I've been with them and seeing them practice
- 19:47Speaker 1: before they walk a red carpet. When I'm in the
- 19:50Speaker 1: limo with Diddy or Jayla or Jessica Simpson, we turn
- 19:53Speaker 1: off the music and on the way to the venue,
- 19:54Speaker 1: we practice what they're going to say. If they can practice,
- 19:57Speaker 1: so can Rob. Shooter. You've got to come prepared to Mark.
- 20:01Speaker 1: You're putting the work. You're putting the work, my friend, Yes, well,
- 20:04Speaker 1: of course, but Rob, to your point, people only see
- 20:07Speaker 1: you on TV, is see your book, they hear your podcast.
- 20:10Speaker 1: But all the real work goes down in private, right,
- 20:14Speaker 1: and it's not glamorous and it's not fun. And you
- 20:17Speaker 1: sit there and you do the work. It's like being
- 20:19Speaker 1: back at school, learning lines, reading books, doing research. But
- 20:23Speaker 1: the only way you can shine for a couple of
- 20:26Speaker 1: minutes is by doing a couple of hours of dull,
- 20:31Speaker 1: boring work. Come prepared. Hey, that's it for today. Thank
- 20:35Speaker 1: you so much for listening to the Naughty but Nice
- 20:38Speaker 1: with Rob and Mark Lupo Show, our production of I
- 20:42Speaker 1: Heart Radio. Don't forget to subscribe on the I Heart
