  Speaker 1: that maybe you're another religion and that you see Jesus

  Speaker 1: as just a man or just a prophet.

  Speaker 1: You just see him as the son of God, but

  Speaker 1: not having deity, not being equal to God.

  Speaker 1: to opinions, not according to poles, not according to social media,

  Speaker 1: not according to atheists, not according to other religions. But

  Speaker 1: who is Jesus according to the scriptures? Amen, He's identified,

  Speaker 2: Amen. He was known, very well known in his time. Amen.

  Speaker 1: That's the whole difference between the Lord Jesus and any

  Speaker 1: I think that's a question worth checking out. Luke Chapter five,

  Speaker 1: verse number thirty two, Baba says the Lord is speaking.

  Speaker 1: He says, I did not come to call the self

  Speaker 1: proclaimed righteous who see no need to repent. In other words,

  Speaker 1: they see no need to turn from their way. And

  Speaker 1: turn to God. They think their way is the right way.

  Speaker 1: So Jesus is saying, I did not come to call

  Speaker 1: the self proclaimed righteous, who see no reason to repent

  Speaker 1: or no need to repent, but sinners to repentance, to
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: change their old way of thinking, to turn from sin,

  Speaker 1: and to seek God and his righteousness. Very pointed, right,

  Speaker 1: He's not putting this all like in a buffet table

  Speaker 1: on a buffet table and said, okay, pick what you

  Speaker 1: want from this scripture. He's being very specific. He did
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: not come for the self righteous. He came for the sinners,

  Speaker 1: and the sinners need to do what repent, change their
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: own way of thinking, to turn from sin, and to
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: seek God and his righteousness. There it is right there.

  Speaker 1: The Lord Jesus spoke it out, letting us know what

  Speaker 1: he came to do, what needs to be done for

  Speaker 1: a sinner, and who he didn't come for. People say, oh,

  Speaker 1: Jesus came for everybody? Well, did Jesus say he came

  Speaker 1: for everybody? We just read the scripture right. So important,

  Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, it's so important to believe in what

  Speaker 1: Isn't an amazing how many people go around saying xyz

  Speaker 1: about the Lord. Meanwhile, Amen, he's good, he's righteous, he's faithful,

  Speaker 1: he's trustworthy, and there's evidence for that in his life

  Speaker 1: in the scriptures. Outside of the Bible, people spoke about

  Speaker 1: Jesus testifying that he was really alive, he was really
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: a man that lived on this earth, Amen, and was
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: put to the cross, crucified, and also resurrected. There's enough evidence,
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: more than enough evidence to know that Jesus was really
• 10:45
  Speaker 1: here on earth, really existed, and that he rose from
• 10:49
  Speaker 1: the grave more.

  Speaker 2: It's overwhelming evidence. Amen.

  Speaker 1: And people say, oh, there's no evidence that the Lord

  Speaker 1: came back.

  Speaker 1: Well, if you read the scriptures, he's seated at the

  Speaker 1: he's coming back. So we're gonna see who this Lord

  Speaker 1: comes back cracks open the sky. It's not going to

  Speaker 1: be for a party. It's not going to be for

  Speaker 1: another chance. He's going to give the world another chance

  Speaker 1: to repent. No, he's giving us a chance to repent.

  Speaker 1: He's given you a chance to repent. Right, he gave

  Speaker 1: about why or what is holding you back from Jesus.

  Speaker 1: The very first one, I think people don't go to
• 12:15
  Speaker 1: Jesus because it is ready guilt and shame.

  Speaker 2: The enemy is all over that guilt and shame.
• 12:24
  Speaker 1: Oh man, I can't go to the Lord, or people
• 12:28
  Speaker 1: bypass the Lord and they say I can't go to
• 12:30
  Speaker 1: church because you know I'm a sinner. When Jesus just
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: said in the scripture right, he didn't come for the self, right,
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: just he came for the sinners. So you're on the
• 12:41
  Speaker 1: on the road to redemption. If you're a sinner and
• 12:44
  Speaker 1: you go to Jesus, you're on the road for transformation.
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: You're on the road for forgiveness. You're on the road
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: to be saved and rescued. You're on the road to
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: be empowered by Holy Spirit. So guilt and shame will
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: tell you I've done too much wrong. There's no way
• 12:59
  Speaker 1: God can save me. God could forgive me. Jesus wouldn't

  Speaker 1: want me. Right, Guilt and shame causes you to say
• 13:06
  Speaker 1: those things or feel those things. And in fact, Jesus
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: came specifically for the broken. He came specifically for the loss,
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: and he came specifically for those who are hurting. In
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: other words, John chapter three, verse sixteen. You know that
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: scripture right, for God so loved the world that he
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: sent his only begotten son.

  Speaker 2: So the Father loved the son was sent to save.

  Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit is sent and living inside of us too,

  Speaker 1: guide us and guard us, and protect us and lead us.

  Speaker 1: But it also says Jesus did not come to condemn

  Speaker 1: the world, but he come.

  Speaker 1: Like people, we have this idea of Jesus or this

  Speaker 1: idea of God the Father looking down on us and

  Speaker 1: waiting for us to do something wrong so he could

  Speaker 1: punish us. That's part of guilt and shame. Guilt and

  Speaker 1: shame are cousins, and they're telling you that. In your mind,

  Speaker 1: they're saying, oh, you can't go to God, you can't
• 14:08
  Speaker 1: go to the Lord.

  Speaker 2: Jesus, because look what you just did.

  Speaker 1: Look what you just said, Look at your thoughts, Look

  Speaker 1: at what you just did to this person that person.

  Speaker 1: Look what you smoke, Look what you drank. Meanwhile, Jesus

  Speaker 1: saying I'm looking for you. I'm waiting for you to
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: come to me so I could transform all of that.

  Speaker 1: Take all that out of your life. You're addicted to drugs,
• 14:31
  Speaker 1: and Jesus will give you an a supernatural high. You
• 14:34
  Speaker 1: won't have to take those drugs no more. If you're
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: an alcoholic or into addicted to alcoholism or alcohol, and
• 14:41
  Speaker 1: Jesus said, come to me and I'll give you a
• 14:44
  Speaker 1: holy spirit drunkenness.

  Speaker 2: Amen.

  Speaker 1: If you're into all any kind of sexual perversion or

  Speaker 1: sexual addictions, you said, come to me and I will

  Speaker 1: fill you with the love of God, and that will
• 14:56
  Speaker 1: satisfy you completely.

  Speaker 2: Right.

  Speaker 1: So Jesus is looking at the people who are in
• 15:01
  Speaker 1: shame and guilt and he has his arms open, wide open,
• 15:05
  Speaker 1: and it's people. We should be ready to receive them
• 15:08
  Speaker 1: as well, and not point the finger at the obvious.
• 15:11
  Speaker 1: It's obvious that some people are in addictions. Obvious some
• 15:15
  Speaker 1: people are in the life of crimes. It's obvious some
• 15:17
  Speaker 1: people are hurting. So why will we point at those
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: things and say, oh, you got this and you're doing that.
• 15:23
  Speaker 1: That's nonsense, It doesn't make any sense. As a matter
• 15:26
  Speaker 1: of fact, we're not the ones that could transform and
• 15:29
  Speaker 1: change people. Jesus is the one who changes people, transforms people,
• 15:33
  Speaker 1: forgives people, renews people, restores people, redeems people right. So
• 15:39
  Speaker 1: guilt and shame be careful with that. Guilt could be
• 15:43
  Speaker 1: used in a positive way too. Guilt will say, listen,
• 15:46
  Speaker 1: you just did something wrong. You need to go and
• 15:48
  Speaker 1: ask for forgiveness. We need to make something right. Guilt
• 15:51
  Speaker 1: could cause you to do those things, but also guilt
• 15:53
  Speaker 1: could tell you listen, stay away from everybody, isolate yourself,
• 15:58
  Speaker 1: don't go to Jesus. He doesn't want you, He won't
• 16:01
  Speaker 1: forgive you. You did too much, and that's where the
• 16:04
  Speaker 1: lie comes in. And then shame comes in with that.

  Speaker 1: You ever did something that was out of the will
• 16:09
  Speaker 1: of God and you know it, you sense it, and
• 16:12
  Speaker 1: then now you feel the shame coming along. And then
• 16:15
  Speaker 1: with that shame comes to guilt because their cousins. Just

  Speaker 1: be careful with that. That's why it's important for us
• 16:21
  Speaker 1: to focus on the Lord. Some people don't go to
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: Jesus because they don't want change. Some people are okay
• 16:29
  Speaker 1: where they're at. They don't want change, they're afraid to
• 16:32
  Speaker 1: change change, and they just want to be the same.

  Speaker 1: Some people might think like this, I'm not sure God
• 16:39
  Speaker 1: is real, right, And because I'm not sure that God

  Speaker 1: is real, amen, I'm not ready or.

  Speaker 2: I follow Jesus. But my life has not changed.

  Speaker 1: You ever heard people say that I went to church,

  Speaker 1: but nothing high in my life. I used to be

  Speaker 1: a Christian. This one is the popular one. I used
• 17:03
  Speaker 1: to be a Christian, and I realized that it wasn't
• 17:06
  Speaker 1: for me. People say all kind of stuff like that, right,
• 17:10
  Speaker 1: But the truth is, Jesus doesn't just demand changed, right.
• 17:18
  Speaker 1: He empowers change. He's not forcing you to change. He's
• 17:22
  Speaker 1: empowering you and me to change by way of His
• 17:26
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. His spirit walks with you through every transformation,
• 17:32
  Speaker 1: through every season of life, through every challenge, through every trial.
• 17:36
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit, God is living inside of you, and He's
• 17:38
  Speaker 1: in you Two Corinthians five seventeen. We read this a lot,
• 17:44
  Speaker 1: we quote this a lot. Hey man, this is one
• 17:46
  Speaker 1: of the first scriptures that the Lord gave me when
• 17:48
  Speaker 1: I first got saved. He put this in my memory bank.

  Speaker 1: If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
• 17:54
  Speaker 2: Amen.

  Speaker 1: Say that ten times a day. Believe that, walk in that,

  Speaker 1: and you're realize that. Wait a minute, if you're born again,

  Speaker 1: all those old thoughts, those old patterns, those simple behavior,

  Speaker 1: all of it, you don't have to live that way nomore.

  Speaker 1: You're not bound to those things anymore. Those things can't

  Speaker 1: control you anymore because you're a new creation in Christ.

  Speaker 1: How about this one, doubt or unbelief. I think the

  Speaker 1: only sin that God doesn't forgive it's unbelief because you

  Speaker 1: don't believe in the one that could forgive you.

  Speaker 2: For that sin. That's just my opinion, Amen.

  Speaker 1: But unbelief, doubt and unbelief is an interesting thing, very interesting.

  Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, I'm not sure if God

  Speaker 1: is real so you're doubting, or that Jesus is who

  Speaker 1: he says he is. Unbelief when you're not sure about something,

  Speaker 1: you're doubting. And when somebody says, if I say, listen,
