- 0:10Speaker 1: not even caught up with a bunch of mates and
- 0:11Speaker 1: just you know you're sitting around sucking the deck?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Ah for all your bustards Loving the Big Show podcast?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Get up on Instagram for dogging four to seven every
- 0:29Speaker 2: weekday on radio, get a hello. I'm going to right
- 0:36Speaker 2: off the bed here.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Put a disclaimer on this, Okay, I just have a feeling.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Well it needs to go in front of all that
- 0:41Speaker 1: felt that he was talking.
- 0:43Speaker 4: Just talking.
- 0:44Speaker 5: I just have a feeling that we're hitting in that direction.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Maggie driving the bus to.
- 0:50Speaker 5: He's totally driving the bus to Fifth.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Street, top top speed down.
- 0:57Speaker 5: How are you going, Maggie?
- 0:59Speaker 1: Much being thanks Fellers. The originally wake up this morning
- 1:03Speaker 1: much been an antibiotics A yeah, man, older kilder to
- 1:07Speaker 1: the antibiotics. But then I had a wall because I
- 1:10Speaker 1: also woke up at five, so I just got up keys.
- 1:12Speaker 1: He did a bit of work and then hit the
- 1:16Speaker 1: wall about ten, so I had a two and a
- 1:17Speaker 1: half hour nap. Nice. So I don't know how long
- 1:20Speaker 1: I'm good for. Yeah, but it's certainly been I was,
- 1:24Speaker 1: you know when Yeah, Because the other thing is I'm
- 1:25Speaker 1: taking no drugs to help, which is unique for me.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I love taking drugs. And so you know, when you've
- 1:33Speaker 1: got a sinus that's pouring like one of your nostrils,
- 1:37Speaker 1: all your nose is just running end, you can't handle
- 1:39Speaker 1: an you light and your eyes are pouring with years.
- 1:44Speaker 1: It's really flirt but horrible. So I had that going
- 1:47Speaker 1: all day yesterday, which was a miserable experience. But yeah,
- 1:50Speaker 1: we're on the app Fellers, you know, and that's one
- 1:53Speaker 1: of those points you's just start treasuring your health again. Oh,
- 1:55Speaker 1: I never do it again. Never stay up until five
- 1:58Speaker 1: in the morning drinking per with my good mates, having
- 2:01Speaker 1: a great time, listen to tunes and just loving life.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You never do that again. You kin to do it? Nah,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I genuinely I need to take some serious time off
- 2:14Speaker 1: problem I've got.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's social events. I was watching something the
- 2:20Speaker 3: other day where as dude was talking about after forty
- 2:24Speaker 3: just forget the past, it's not fun anymore.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Just don't worry about it. Yeah, Well, the truth is
- 2:31Speaker 1: it is a lot of fun and it remains a
- 2:32Speaker 1: lot of fun.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I found the older I got with it, the
- 2:37Speaker 3: window of fun was smaller and smaller.
- 2:39Speaker 1: But I'm not like that the other night of drinking.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I haven't done it for I don't know how long.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I normally managed to pull it pull it in pretty early.
- 2:48Speaker 1: So it's not if it was like the old school
- 2:50Speaker 1: drinking that we used to do. Absolutely, and I do
- 2:53Speaker 1: think you have to reduce it and how you do it,
- 2:56Speaker 1: but it is absolutely still fun.
- 2:59Speaker 5: One.
- 2:59Speaker 4: That's a So what time when you got on the
- 3:02Speaker 4: person till five?
- 3:02Speaker 1: Allm?
- 3:03Speaker 4: What time did you start?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Oh? Well, this is when I lost my phone as well, Kezy,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I told you about this.
- 3:11Speaker 5: Did you lose your phone?
- 3:12Speaker 1: Fus?
- 3:14Speaker 4: The Whole Archy B Show week days from four on
- 3:17Speaker 4: Radio Hiarchy The Warky Big Show Podcast.
- 3:22Speaker 1: So what time was it? Three ish?
- 3:26Speaker 4: Three in the afternoon? Okay, well they got advice because
- 3:29Speaker 4: we did that early.
- 3:30Speaker 3: We bread, we did breakfast right, well then we were
- 3:32Speaker 3: doing breakfast right, Yeah, that's right.
- 3:34Speaker 1: So I felt like I was on a long weekend.
- 3:36Speaker 4: So you were up for twenty four hours, You're essentially
- 3:39Speaker 4: up for twenty four hours.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I was. I was literally up.
- 3:43Speaker 4: To because five am would feel like fucking eight nine am.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I we went to the pub the cav
- 3:50Speaker 1: to meet a mate, and so I was racing my
- 3:52Speaker 1: daughter and I'm really enjoying it because I'm still at
- 3:55Speaker 1: a stage where I can just waste her in every
- 3:57Speaker 1: single competitive outing that we have. She hates it.
- 4:01Speaker 4: You know the cab of a boat race.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Well, now it was the race to the pub, which
- 4:05Speaker 1: is one of the greatest races running race to the Pub,
- 4:07Speaker 1: one of the great races, gezy and I was just
- 4:11Speaker 1: destroying her and keeping on changing the finish line, all
- 4:14Speaker 1: that sort of ship but but dying laughing because she
- 4:19Speaker 1: kept on cheating, which I was loving. But then we
- 4:22Speaker 1: went out. Then we went to gypsy Tea Room. Is
- 4:25Speaker 1: that what it's called? Gypsy tea room?
- 4:26Speaker 5: Yep?
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yes, And then we went to the Gray Linars and
- 4:31Speaker 1: then we're like, and my daughter wasn't allowed in because
- 4:33Speaker 1: it was too late, so let's go back to our place.
- 4:35Speaker 1: So then it sort of kicked on. Now, when I
- 4:37Speaker 1: got back to my players, I was not where's my phone?
- 4:40Speaker 1: And I had to track it. It was in somebody's house.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I had to jump on my push bike. I was
- 4:45Speaker 1: roughly half pissed. Yeah, And I got to the address
- 4:48Speaker 1: and stuck on the gate was this was a sign
- 4:51Speaker 1: saying if you've lost your phone, ring the bell.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Right, so that person runs a lost and found for phone.
- 4:57Speaker 1: So I was running down the street. I ran past
- 5:00Speaker 1: this guy who was laughing at me, laughing at my daughter,
- 5:03Speaker 1: and my phone flew out of my pocket. I had
- 5:05Speaker 1: no idea. He picked it up and took it and
- 5:06Speaker 1: so fun. But and then the other travelers on going
- 5:17Speaker 1: down to Queenstown with my cousin, it's a shocking.
- 5:20Speaker 5: He is a shocking because.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Right three and finished at five. You need to bring
- 5:27Speaker 4: that back by how many.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I started at seven in the morning. You just bring that.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Back by five hours. So you need to start at
- 5:32Speaker 4: ten am.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, at ten am. And then in bed bus seven,
- 5:37Speaker 3: I'll tell you what.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I did in I had two glasses of wine, maybe
- 5:41Speaker 1: three glasses of wine, and then I stopped. Yeah, I've
- 5:44Speaker 1: never done that before, and it was really enjoyable because
- 5:47Speaker 1: you're sort of half passed. But normally if I get
- 5:50Speaker 1: half past on like yeah, let's go, let's get into
- 5:53Speaker 1: let's turn it up there, we're just starting. Yeah, I've
- 5:56Speaker 1: come on, mum, keme on margin go.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You know what I mean, you.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Would struggle, keezy. I mean, like two or three beers
- 6:07Speaker 5: when you're going out.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I'd struggle in the sense of going, Okay, I've had
- 6:11Speaker 3: two beers.
- 6:11Speaker 5: I'm done now.
- 6:12Speaker 4: No, I'm totally fine. I don't give a shit.
- 6:14Speaker 1: That's a Kesy. That's Kezy through and through.
- 6:17Speaker 5: You don't give a shit about what the keezy is the.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Kind of guy that can have two or three beers
- 6:20Speaker 1: and then stop, I don't care.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I like, sure, I'd rather have tod To be honest,
- 6:24Speaker 4: the about beers I would like to have. No is
- 6:26Speaker 4: five five pints beautiful?
- 6:29Speaker 1: If I get to five.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Yeah, So at any point going up to five, I'm like,
- 6:34Speaker 4: I wouldn't mind another one, but that's okay. But when
- 6:35Speaker 4: I get to five, it's like, yes, this is great.
- 6:37Speaker 4: And then that's when I'm making a decision like, hey,
- 6:39Speaker 4: is it worth carrying?
- 6:40Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 6:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I've got to be better at that. Yeah.
- 6:42Speaker 4: But it's just so yeah, I don't know, And that's.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Why I am just all or nothing, which is what
- 6:46Speaker 1: I saying. I'm going to stop, but then well, I'm
- 6:47Speaker 1: going down to Queenstown snowboarding there's going to be restaurants
- 6:51Speaker 1: with fireplaces. Yeah, I gotta not drink eighteen bottles of
- 6:56Speaker 1: wine and smoke darts. Yeah, when is this over the week? Yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 1: that's right.
- 7:02Speaker 5: It's tricky, it is. It's really tricky. It's really tricky.
- 7:06Speaker 4: It's tricky because Moggie's involved. Yeah, I mean, like if
- 7:08Speaker 4: it was someone else. Here's what you The only thing
- 7:11Speaker 4: I love more than not drinking is drink drinking. Yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 4: and those things.
- 7:16Speaker 1: That's almost neck and neck how much I love love
- 7:18Speaker 1: those two things.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Well, this is what this guy I was watching the
- 7:21Speaker 5: other day is saying.
- 7:22Speaker 3: You know that it's just after forty is fuck it,
- 7:24Speaker 3: don't don't drink anymore.
- 7:26Speaker 5: But then he was saying, but the.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Other side of that is that you have to then
- 7:31Speaker 3: come to terms with the boring part of yourself.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And this is the problem. You are your boring self.
- 7:38Speaker 1: But I don't mind being bored because I just do
- 7:39Speaker 1: a bit of work. The PRAM will productive absolutely. And
- 7:43Speaker 1: the problem that the person has to face that side
- 7:46Speaker 1: of me, as I've said before probably about eighteen times,
- 7:49Speaker 1: is my wife who hates me when I don't drink
- 7:51Speaker 1: because I'm so boring and I don't sit down. I
- 7:53Speaker 1: won't just have a chat. I'm busy doing things. So
- 7:57Speaker 1: that's tricky because me wanting to stop drink because I
- 8:00Speaker 1: become a better person, and my wife wanted me to.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Can you tenue to be a piece of shitah? And
- 8:05Speaker 1: also another tricky thing is she's fine with it because
- 8:08Speaker 1: she's ten years younger than me, So she recovers quick
- 8:11Speaker 1: like somebody that's ten years younger than me, yes, and
- 8:13Speaker 1: has got no understanding that it gets worse and worse
- 8:17Speaker 1: and worse.
- 8:18Speaker 3: And it is and it is a that is a
- 8:20Speaker 3: I'm very familiar with that dynamic, not in my own life,
- 8:24Speaker 3: but with other people where the partner stops drinking and
- 8:27Speaker 3: the other one goes, oh, fuck, you're boring.
- 8:30Speaker 4: The person whose advice was to not drink after forty
- 8:33Speaker 4: how old are they?
- 8:35Speaker 5: He was about forty eight.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Because so he's had eight years on the person after forty,
- 8:39Speaker 4: so he can say.
- 8:40Speaker 5: That he hadn't drunk.
- 8:41Speaker 3: For years, but he's still done it though, yeah, when
- 8:45Speaker 3: he was like forty one forty there's.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Something in it. But it depends. I think it depends.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You say that about people that drink like we do,
- 8:52Speaker 1: not people that drink does, yes, but you're old man.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Couple of beers good as gold. Yeah, if you like that,
- 8:58Speaker 1: that's sweet. Yeah, well that's that is also it's a
- 9:00Speaker 1: complete waste of time, Like why bother complete me completely.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Because I like the buzz.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Yeah, we love it exactly easy. We love the buzz too.
- 9:13Speaker 4: I don't like the buzz past a certain point. I
- 9:15Speaker 4: actually don't want to get to that point depending on
- 9:17Speaker 4: what I'm doing. We see, this is what I'm at
- 9:18Speaker 4: the pub. I don't want to be full buzz can
- 9:20Speaker 4: barely to speak.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I don't like that buzz.
- 9:23Speaker 3: That's why my wife doesn't drink well because he doesn't
- 9:26Speaker 3: like the taste of it, and b because she doesn't
- 9:29Speaker 3: like any booze.
- 9:30Speaker 5: No, she doesn't like how it makes her feel.
- 9:32Speaker 3: And I'm like, what right, what because and she's not
- 9:36Speaker 3: a problem drinker in any way.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's a weird thing I first started going out that
- 9:41Speaker 1: she won't.
- 9:42Speaker 5: When I first started going out there, I've told you
- 9:43Speaker 5: this story before. I thought she was a massive persued.
- 9:46Speaker 4: No, it's because you are wasted.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I was.
- 9:50Speaker 5: She wasn't, Yeah, but it was just you exactly.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Well, good luck for Queenstown Mogie.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Look we'll start out to Queenstound, clean slate.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Get the antibiotos ready to go.
- 10:03Speaker 1: That's actually I hadn't thought about that. Keasey, believe you me,
- 10:06Speaker 1: Believe you me. Hey.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Listen to the Big Show four to seven weekdays, Radio
- 10:10Speaker 4: Hodaki
