- 0:00Carmen Lezeth: Wait, I'm not gonna say what you said in the background, but that was funny.
- 0:03Carmen Lezeth: Okay.
- 0:05Carmen Lezeth: That was good.
- 0:06Carmen Lezeth: Hi everyone.
- 0:07Carmen Lezeth: Welcome to All About the Joy.
- 0:08Carmen Lezeth: What's up, rick?
- 0:09Carmen Lezeth: Happy new year.
- 0:11Rick Costa: Happy new year and happy birthday to me.
- 0:15Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, how was your birthday, wasn't it on the second?
- 0:18Rick Costa: Yeah, yeah, it was good.
- 0:20Rick Costa: I mean it was chill, obviously, because everybody's working that day and stuff, but my son did come over, we brought some yummy Brazilian food and we chowed down.
- 0:29Rick Costa: It was so good.
- 0:30Rick Costa: Yeah, it was good.
- 0:32Carmen Lezeth: Well, happy birthday.
- 0:34Carmen Lezeth: Are you celebrating on week, or is it just that was it?
- 0:37Carmen Lezeth: It's kind of a simple birthday.
- 0:39Rick Costa: Yeah, it was simple yeah.
- 0:40Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 0:42Rick Costa: I know you like to do the month I think right Birthday month.
- 0:45Carmen Lezeth: Oh, hell yes.
- 0:45Carmen Lezeth: But you know whose birthday is coming up right.
- 0:48Rick Costa: Besides yours?
- 0:49Rick Costa: Oh, of course, yeah, yours.
- 0:51Carmen Lezeth: Who did you say?
- 0:52Rick Costa: No, I was thinking.
- 0:53Rick Costa: I almost thought you met somebody else.
- 0:54Rick Costa: I was like who else has a birthday in January?
- 0:57Rick Costa: I know you do.
- 0:58Carmen Lezeth: We are only mentioning your birthday, but generally nobody else's birthday matters but mine in January.
- 1:06Rick Costa: Okay, got it, we just give it a little bit of a no-ing.
- 1:09Carmen Lezeth: It's all about the Carmen.
- 1:11Carmen Lezeth: Yes, so you're not done celebrating.
- 1:15Carmen Lezeth: You just had that one day, but you're going to do something this weekend, right?
- 1:18Carmen Lezeth: Oh, you got to treat yourself to something.
- 1:21Rick Costa: All right, we'll get DoorDash or something, something and then I tell you what I'll get you DoorDash.
- 1:27Carmen Lezeth: I'll treat you and your family to an evening on this weekend.
- 1:31Carmen Lezeth: You let me know.
- 1:32Carmen Lezeth: Seriously, that's funny.
- 1:33Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying You're supposed to say thank you when you get a happy birthday.
- 1:38Rick Costa: Thank you, thank you.
- 1:40Carmen Lezeth: Thank you.
- 1:41Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I'm just saying I will do that for you.
- 1:43Carmen Lezeth: I used you back in the day.
- 1:45Carmen Lezeth: I don't do it as much anymore, but there was a rule I would celebrate it all month.
- 1:49Carmen Lezeth: Every day I would go out with one of my friends for lunch or dinner, and it was great, but it was also exhaustive and by the end of it all I'd gained like five pounds because we'd go to some brilliant restaurant, always right or something.
- 2:04Carmen Lezeth: So.
- 2:05Carmen Lezeth: But I always wanted to have quality time with each one of my friends.
- 2:08Carmen Lezeth: But now that they're all stupid married and with kids and whatever you know, it's a whole different ball game.
- 2:15Carmen Lezeth: And one year I remember one of my friends was like we all, the family, we all want to take you out for dinner.
- 2:20Carmen Lezeth: I was like, ooh, I love that idea, but somehow me with your three year old kids and your husband, who you've been fighting with, ate really my birthday somehow.
- 2:32Carmen Lezeth: But thank you very much.
- 2:34Carmen Lezeth: So, but yeah, so January is a cool, cool month.
- 2:38Carmen Lezeth: I love it.
- 2:39Carmen Lezeth: So, yeah, happy birthday, my friend.
- 2:41Rick Costa: Okay, funny fact.
- 2:42Rick Costa: What Funny fact.
- 2:43Rick Costa: I was supposed to be born before Christmas.
- 2:49Carmen Lezeth: Oh, I don't know.
- 2:51Rick Costa: It's a funny fact.
- 2:51Rick Costa: And well, here's the funny part.
- 2:53Rick Costa: So when my mom gets mad at me because I didn't do something fast enough or whatever, she'd be like see, he was lazy then and you still lazy now.
- 3:00Rick Costa: I was like really.
- 3:01Carmen Lezeth: That's really.
- 3:02Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, that's not nice.
- 3:03Carmen Lezeth: You and.
- 3:08Carmen Lezeth: I have different ideas of what funny is, but you laughed.
- 3:12Carmen Lezeth: You laughed, I know, but it's not like I'm feeling guilty of the laugh, you know what I mean.
- 3:18Carmen Lezeth: Like I'm feeling a little heartbroken about that, but that is kind of funny, though, now that you're an adult.
- 3:23Carmen Lezeth: But did that hurt you when you were a kid?
- 3:27Rick Costa: No, I thought it was funny because I had no control over that.
- 3:29Rick Costa: I was in your body, you didn't push me out.
- 3:33Rick Costa: Oh my God, it's so terrible.
- 3:36Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I have to stop laughing about that.
- 3:37Carmen Lezeth: Okay, today's episode is for the love of right.
- 3:41Carmen Lezeth: We're going to talk about everything that we love.
- 3:44Carmen Lezeth: We're going to try not to talk about the opposite of the things that we hate, but we're going to try to talk about love.
- 3:51Carmen Lezeth: So first, let's start with Rick.
- 3:52Carmen Lezeth: What is the thing you love most about your birthday, or which birthday was the one you loved the most?
- 3:58Carmen Lezeth: Maybe it hasn't come up yet.
- 4:00Carmen Lezeth: I know that wasn't on my list, I know, I know.
- 4:03Carmen Lezeth: I know I'm sorry, but I just thought of it.
- 4:05Rick Costa: There's never been like one that I was wowed about ever, but maybe in the future.
- 4:10Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I only because Andrea is not here I will say one of the best birthdays I ever had.
- 4:17Carmen Lezeth: I'm so glad she doesn't do social media because she'll never see this.
- 4:22Carmen Lezeth: All my friends flew in from everywhere for my 40th birthday and surprised me, and if everyone or anyone has watched the show, andrea is very bitter and angry about it because she accidentally was not invited by the person who is now dead, by the way, but he for some reason didn't invite her, but he didn't really know her and anyway.
- 4:46Carmen Lezeth: But that really was cool, because I wasn't, you know, I wasn't expecting it at all.
- 4:51Carmen Lezeth: And one of the weird things was is that one of my bosses was at it too.
- 4:55Carmen Lezeth: Like, whenever I look at the pictures, I'm like, why did he invite one of my bosses?
- 4:59Carmen Lezeth: I mean, it was fine, but it's still a weird.
- 5:01Carmen Lezeth: And she was cool, but it was just weird.
- 5:04Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 5:04Carmen Lezeth: So he didn't know everybody, so it was kind of cool, but anyway.
- 5:08Carmen Lezeth: So that's one of my favorite birthdays.
- 5:10Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, what do you mean?
- 5:11Carmen Lezeth: Interesting, interesting.
- 5:13Rick Costa: Well, it's just interesting.
- 5:14Rick Costa: Plus, like you know, if he didn't really know Andrea, then I guess he didn't think anything of it.
- 5:19Carmen Lezeth: Like you know.
- 5:20Carmen Lezeth: You know what it would be like.
- 5:21Carmen Lezeth: It would be like you trying to.
- 5:24Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so I have all of these.
- 5:25Carmen Lezeth: I mean this is going to sound so pompous.
- 5:27Carmen Lezeth: I have great friends, and Richard was one of my dearest friends, but Richard doesn't know everybody.
- 5:33Carmen Lezeth: I feel like if you were going to set up a surprise party for me and you were going to try to invite everyone, you're going to invite everyone that you've connected to, right, right, but you don't know, like Mary and Joanne, you don't know these other people that you've never met on here.
- 5:46Carmen Lezeth: So it would be that kind of thing, like if you left Mary and Joanne, who are, you know, like my family out of it, or Billy, you don't.
- 5:56Carmen Lezeth: Well, you know Billy from the phone call, but how would you reach him?
- 5:58Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean, right, it's kind of one of those things, like it wasn't intentional, it's just, if you don't know, you don't know.
- 6:05Carmen Lezeth: So it was, yeah, but if Andrea was here, she would be cursing him up and down, she'll be blaming him, she'll be like I met him, I know him, he could have called me, he could have found out.
- 6:16Carmen Lezeth: Anyways, I'm just saying one of my favorite birthdays was that one, and I hope that I have one that will top it in the future, like next Friday.
- 6:25Carmen Lezeth: I'm just saying it could be, it could be right, okay.
- 6:30Carmen Lezeth: So what's your favorite food, or the love of what is your favorite or food that you love the most, at least today?
- 6:38Rick Costa: It's going to sound very corny and like if you ever say like you're on a desert island and you can only have one food for the rest of your life, like if that was the case.
- 6:45Rick Costa: It's going to sound so corny Hamburgers, hamburgers.
- 6:49Carmen Lezeth: Oh, so that conversation last week with the crew was all your thing.
- 6:54Carmen Lezeth: You understood all of that White castle, blah, blah, blah.
- 6:56Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what kind of hamburger Like you talking about?
- 6:59Carmen Lezeth: You make a hamburger at home, or?
- 7:02Rick Costa: Yeah, I mean, that's what I do now, obviously, but but yeah, but why is it corny?
- 7:06Carmen Lezeth: Why would hamburger?
- 7:07Rick Costa: I don't know Cause most people probably be like steak and mashed potatoes and blah, blah, blah, but I'm like, no, that's not what I was going to say my favorite food is none of that.
- 7:15Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia just said my favorite birthday was when I turned seven and my mom threw me a party at.
- 7:19Carmen Lezeth: Mcdonald's when they used to have parties.
- 7:21Rick Costa: Oh, yeah, does McDonald's not have parties now, when I worked there, they still did it, but maybe they don't do it anymore.
- 7:27Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, I mean, I'm not going to say that.
- 7:31Rick Costa: When she turned seven.
- 7:32Rick Costa: That's how memorable it was for her.
- 7:34Carmen Lezeth: I know I'm a little sad, like we.
- 7:36Carmen Lezeth: We got to do something for your birthday this year.
- 7:38Carmen Lezeth: That's a little bit bigger, it was seven, I mean I'm glad Was Ronald McDonald there.
- 7:44Carmen Lezeth: Was what.
- 7:45Rick Costa: Ronald McDonald there.
- 7:47Carmen Lezeth: I mean, but she kind of implied that they don't do parties now.
- 7:49Carmen Lezeth: So that kind of bumps me out.
- 7:51Rick Costa: I bet you they probably don't.
- 7:53Carmen Lezeth: Really Cause of COVID?
- 7:54Carmen Lezeth: You said Probably.
- 7:56Carmen Lezeth: I mean I said this laughing, cynthia, we're going to talk to your husband about like sprucing up your birthdays, baby, because you know okay.
- 8:03Rick Costa: One place.
- 8:03Rick Costa: I know that probably still, maybe still do it.
- 8:06Rick Costa: I don't know if you guys have it out there.
- 8:07Rick Costa: Chuck E Cheese.
- 8:08Carmen Lezeth: Oh yeah.
- 8:09Rick Costa: We have Chuck E Cheese, because that's kind of their thing is parties.
- 8:12Carmen Lezeth: So yeah, but that's not hamburgers, no, no no, I'm just saying a children's party at a restaurant is probably there.
- 8:17Carmen Lezeth: I don't think I'd ever want a birthday at a restaurant.
- 8:20Carmen Lezeth: No, no, I mean, that's what the surprise party was, but I don't know, I don't know.
- 8:26Carmen Lezeth: Anyways, I have.
- 8:28Rick Costa: I think it was an all you could eat restaurant that might do that.
- 8:32Carmen Lezeth: Really.
- 8:33Carmen Lezeth: Maybe I've had many dinners at a birthday, but I think I don't think that would.
- 8:39Carmen Lezeth: It's the people I'm with is what I'm trying to say.
- 8:42Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I mean, that makes it much more fun.
- 8:44Carmen Lezeth: So, okay, food, right.
- 8:47Carmen Lezeth: So you said hamburgers.
- 8:48Carmen Lezeth: Let me tell you.
- 8:50Carmen Lezeth: So I always say chocolate cake.
- 8:51Carmen Lezeth: I know that most people don't think that's food.
- 8:53Carmen Lezeth: I couldn't think of food, because all I keep thinking about, like if I was on a desert island, I was like dessert desert island.
- 9:00Carmen Lezeth: I love chocolate cake, but I really love I do love steak, but I don't think I could call that my favorite.
- 9:09Carmen Lezeth: I really am a moody person when it comes to food.
- 9:12Carmen Lezeth: On the one hand, I'm really kind of boring and I eat the same thing over and over and over again, but it like changes, right.
- 9:18Carmen Lezeth: So, like one week, all I want to eat is scrambled eggs in the morning, scrambled eggs, and I'll do that for like a week or two or whatever, and then I don't want to see eggs ever again and I'm like okay, just yogurt, everyday yogurt.
- 9:29Carmen Lezeth: You know what?
- 9:30Carmen Lezeth: I don't think I'm a good eater that way.
- 9:32Carmen Lezeth: So yeah, I don't know, but I think hamburgers is a good answer.
- 9:37Rick Costa: Yeah, I like to funny story again.
- 9:40Carmen Lezeth: Okay, if you say funny story, you're like funny story.
- 9:44Rick Costa: So this was a year ago.
- 9:45Carmen Lezeth: Chocolate cake is breakfast food.
- 9:47Rick Costa: Yes, okay, you better brush your teeth after.
- 9:51Carmen Lezeth: All right, everyone wait.
- 9:52Carmen Lezeth: Rick is going to tell a funny story.
- 9:54Carmen Lezeth: Go ahead.
- 9:55Rick Costa: Okay, it's not funny, it's not funny.
- 9:56Rick Costa: So we used to go our it used to be our neighbor.
- 10:01Rick Costa: He had these little almost like cabins up in Massachusetts, like up north, not on where you used to be, but on the other side, and it was up in these mountains, whatever.
- 10:09Rick Costa: And so we went to this Polynesian restaurant that they love and they had these, like it was like kind of chicken nuggets, but they were bigger, they weren't like just chicken nuggets Anyway, and they were like.
- 10:20Rick Costa: It was kind of like well, whatever you want, eat as many as you want, right?
- 10:24Rick Costa: So I pig out.
- 10:26Rick Costa: Well, the thing is, I got so sick that if?
- 10:32Rick Costa: you even.
- 10:32Rick Costa: Not only did I want, not want to see one or smell one, if you even said chicken nuggets, I was like for like two years I could not eat nothing that looked like a chicken nugget, couldn't do it.
- 10:43Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, no, I get that.
- 10:44Carmen Lezeth: Look at Melanie's story time.
- 10:46Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, that's so good.
- 10:48Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, you know what I get like that.
- 10:52Carmen Lezeth: But then I have cravings, so I'll have like the strangest craving and that's like the other day I wanted a blueberry muffin.
- 10:58Carmen Lezeth: It couldn't be any blueberry muffin, it was a specific blueberry muffin that I had to get from Trader Joe's.
- 11:05Carmen Lezeth: Now I never go and trade a Joe's, so and it's like I'm not going to go to Trader Joe's for a blueberry muffin, but like for four days, that's all I wanted.
- 11:13Carmen Lezeth: And it's like I really am under the belief that if that's all I want to eat, I should just eat it, because if not, I'm going to eat everything else and it's not gonna satisfy me.
- 11:23Carmen Lezeth: You know what.
- 11:23Rick Costa: I mean they say that and I believe this that when you are craving something like that, especially with something like out of the blue, that that thing has something that your body is actually needing a deficient in, so you should go ahead and eat it.
- 11:36Rick Costa: And when I do go to Trader Joe's, I always get my mom blueberry muffins.
- 11:41Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, okay, there's something there Pizza from the same old place.
- 11:45Carmen Lezeth: Okay, the same old place is a pizza place in Jamaica Play.
- 11:48Carmen Lezeth: Oh, okay, ooh, that would be good, and I'm not even a big pizza person, but that is a kind of nostalgic kind of thing.
- 11:56Carmen Lezeth: Yes, that would be really, really good.
- 11:57Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, that would be a favorite food, but then I would get sick of it after a week.
- 12:02Carmen Lezeth: See, I would probably die on a deserted island, but also because I'd be like I cannot keep eating this, I need something else, you know.
- 12:10Carmen Lezeth: So, anyways, all right.
- 12:12Rick Costa: There's a Star Trek like a podcast thing with people from the enterprise one and they have at the end of their set it's like what kind of what we do.
- 12:19Rick Costa: But at the end of the segment, whoever the guest is, they said, okay, now you're on a desert island and they say you have to pick your favorite cuisine, which means all Italian or all Japanese or all whatever favorite, this, that and the other.
- 12:33Rick Costa: And I was like, oh well, if you could pick cuisine, then that gives you a lot more variety at least.
- 12:37Rick Costa: And then also favorite dessert.
- 12:39Rick Costa: So it could be like all cookies, all ice cream, all whatever.
- 12:41Rick Costa: I was like well, that'll give you variety, at least Just take your cake, just go and talk with it.
- 12:46Carmen Lezeth: I don't need a cuisine chocolate cake.
- 12:47Carmen Lezeth: Hey Chris, hi Chris, did I tell you that I was watching Star Trek the other day and did I text you?
- 12:53Carmen Lezeth: Who did I text?
- 12:54Carmen Lezeth: I remember, oh, one of my favorite episodes, the episode where they I did write a text to you.
- 12:58Carmen Lezeth: Was it you?
- 12:59Rick Costa: Remind me what was it again.
- 13:01Carmen Lezeth: Okay, it was the episode with Kelsey Grammar at the end, where they're playing cards at the beginning and they keep repeating it over and, over and over again and they ended up finding out that they're in a loop.
- 13:13Carmen Lezeth: It's just like the Stargate episode.
- 13:15Carmen Lezeth: Oh, okay, you don't remember that episode.
- 13:18Carmen Lezeth: Cause and effect the episode is cause and effect, kelsey.
- 13:20Carmen Lezeth: Grammar was in it.
- 13:21Carmen Lezeth: Kelsey Grammar is the captain of the ship.
- 13:24Rick Costa: They which Star Trek, the first original.
- 13:26Carmen Lezeth: Star Trek Next Generation.
- 13:27Carmen Lezeth: Oh, next Gen, I've tried to remember that I would never talk about the other ones, so I don't talk about the other ones.
- 13:33Rick Costa: The one that I saw that just broke me up and I still cry every time is when Lua Aksana remembered that she had the other daughter.
- 13:44Carmen Lezeth: I don't know that one.
- 13:45Rick Costa: I hate that woman.
- 13:46Rick Costa: Oh, I know.
- 13:47Rick Costa: But this episode she acted her butt off.
- 13:52Carmen Lezeth: I didn't say the actress wasn't a good actress.
- 13:54Carmen Lezeth: I said it just felt like the character.
- 13:56Rick Costa: Yeah, but that episode.
- 13:59Carmen Lezeth: Okay, but you don't know the episode cause and effect.
- 14:00Carmen Lezeth: Okay, you're going to have to look, you're going to know it.
- 14:02Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, soon as I see it, I'll be like, oh yeah dude, but it's like the episode from Stargate SG-1, which is when, remember, they get in the loop.
- 14:11Rick Costa: What do you think Jack?
- 14:12Rick Costa: Over and over and over again, he's like oh, he's like oh my God, right.
- 14:18Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I guess we're going right into.
- 14:19Carmen Lezeth: What TV shows do we love, right?
- 14:23Carmen Lezeth: So this was a pretty easy one, like if there was a quiz of all about the joy and there was multiple choice.
- 14:29Carmen Lezeth: What shows do Carmen and Rick love the most?
- 14:33Carmen Lezeth: Genre would be.
- 14:35Rick Costa: Sci-Fi.
- 14:37Carmen Lezeth: Yay right.
- 14:38Rick Costa: And we already mentioned two of them.
- 14:40Carmen Lezeth: Yeah and yours.
- 14:41Carmen Lezeth: You would choose Star Trek Next Generation, right.
- 14:44Rick Costa: If I had to pick only one out of every one, that's the one I really fell in love with, so yeah, Chris is so stupid.
- 14:53Carmen Lezeth: That was he did not.
- 14:55Carmen Lezeth: He's being funny.
- 14:56Rick Costa: He's being funny, chris is.
- 14:57Rick Costa: I'm telling you he is one of the funniest person people I've ever met.
- 15:00Rick Costa: Well, why does he come up?
- 15:01Carmen Lezeth: Is he somebody we want to ask?
- 15:03Carmen Lezeth: He's being funny, chris.
- 15:04Carmen Lezeth: If you want to, is he on your Facebook?
- 15:06Carmen Lezeth: Send him a link.
- 15:08Carmen Lezeth: He can come up Friends and scary movies.
- 15:11Rick Costa: She don't like scary movies.
- 15:13Carmen Lezeth: I'm not a scary movie person, but Cynthia loves horror.
- 15:16Carmen Lezeth: She says they're funny.
- 15:17Carmen Lezeth: I'm like no.
- 15:18Carmen Lezeth: I guess if we weren't talking about Sci-Fi, I would say that one of my favorite shows is it would be like the West Wing.
- 15:27Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean Like TV shows.
- 15:29Carmen Lezeth: Definitely West Wing is a great one, and there's so many.
- 15:33Carmen Lezeth: But if I had to pick on an island, if we were whatever, it would definitely be ooh, stargate or Star Trek, I don't know.
- 15:41Carmen Lezeth: Okay what, if you had to pick one, you would pick Star Trek Next Generation, you get Stargate SG-1, or you get Star Trek Next Generation.
- 15:52Rick Costa: That's definitely tough, definitely tough.
- 15:55Carmen Lezeth: I think we know what I'm going with.
- 15:57Rick Costa: But I think my heart is more attached to Next Generation a little bit.
- 16:03Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, that's okay, but we know why I'm going with Stargate, right.
- 16:08Rick Costa: You're right, Chris, exactly yes, she is.
- 16:10Carmen Lezeth: I did not know that.
- 16:11Carmen Lezeth: Is she really?
- 16:12Rick Costa: Yeah yeah, you mean the actress, right, the actress yeah, and she was also Nurse Chapel in the original Star Trek.
- 16:19Rick Costa: That was Jean's wife, the one that had a crush on Spock, but he was like yeah, but then she had a crush on Picard and I was like no, stop it.
- 16:29Rick Costa: Oh, the Oksana.
- 16:30Carmen Lezeth: yeah, yeah, I was like stop, stop, okay, this is not going to dwell into, we're going to stick to our topic.
- 16:36Carmen Lezeth: We have to move on.
- 16:37Carmen Lezeth: We have to move on.
- 16:37Carmen Lezeth: I just want to say Stargate SG-1 would probably, I would probably do that.
- 16:42Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I'm still watching that.
- 16:44Rick Costa: Yes, the voice at the end.
- 16:45Carmen Lezeth: Yes, and the voice at the end of the computer.
- 16:47Carmen Lezeth: Did you send him a link?
- 16:48Carmen Lezeth: He's scared to come up when.
- 16:50Rick Costa: No.
- 16:50Carmen Lezeth: It's okay, he don't need to.
- 16:52Rick Costa: I'm looking at the bottom and I thought I was working fine one, because when I host, that's where it is, but there's nothing.
- 16:57Carmen Lezeth: Oh, what are you talking about?
- 16:59Rick Costa: Because when I do my broadcast it gives me a button to share a link, but for me it's not doing it.
- 17:05Carmen Lezeth: Oh, you don't have the little man at the bottom.
- 17:08Carmen Lezeth: Okay, wait, okay, but I'm not inviting everyone, I just want to invite him.
- 17:11Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to give it to you, the private chat.
- 17:13Carmen Lezeth: I mean everyone.
- 17:14Carmen Lezeth: Look at me Like I'm Oprah, all of a sudden, like I cannot.
- 17:18Rick Costa: You get a car and you get a car.
- 17:20Carmen Lezeth: I just sent it to you in the private chat.
- 17:22Carmen Lezeth: Did you get it?
- 17:23Rick Costa: Got it, got it.
- 17:24Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I mean, you know something can come up, but you know what I mean I can't.
- 17:28Carmen Lezeth: I don't even know Chris, but you know him, he's not a crazy person right, he's really funny.
- 17:34Carmen Lezeth: Okay, but you're funny and my funny are two different things.
- 17:36Carmen Lezeth: But he's a sane human being, right?
- 17:38Rick Costa: And he even was talking to Cuban.
- 17:41Rick Costa: What's his name?
- 17:42Rick Costa: Mark Cuban, once he got on his show, or something Right, chris?
- 17:46Carmen Lezeth: Am I right?
- 17:46Carmen Lezeth: I don't know why you think Mark Cuban would give him more credo, Like okay.
- 17:50Rick Costa: I mean, he's a famous person.
- 17:53Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yeah means nothing.
- 17:54Carmen Lezeth: He could have gone on Mark Cuban's show and been crazy.
- 17:57Carmen Lezeth: I trust you If you say he's a good person.
- 17:59Carmen Lezeth: I saw good he does for you.
- 18:01Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, so if he wants to come up to school, if not now, chris, you'll have to come up in the future and we can talk all about sci-fi.
- 18:06Carmen Lezeth: But I don't want this to become a sci-fi episode, because people get bored, they're not into it.
- 18:11Carmen Lezeth: Our listeners are not big sci-fi people.
- 18:13Carmen Lezeth: I shouldn't say that.
- 18:14Carmen Lezeth: I shouldn't say that's not nice.
- 18:16Carmen Lezeth: Okay, how about movie Movie, rick.
- 18:20Rick Costa: Movie favorite.
- 18:21Carmen Lezeth: About planning Favorite movie, movie that you love, love.
- 18:25Carmen Lezeth: It has to be love.
- 18:26Carmen Lezeth: This is the love of episode.
- 18:28Carmen Lezeth: These are the easy questions.
- 18:31Carmen Lezeth: You know it gets harder.
- 18:32Rick Costa: It's probably not going to be a stream shock, but the movie that I've watched the most, literally, over and, over and over again, it's a Jesus movie.
- 18:42Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, so what's the name of it?
- 18:43Carmen Lezeth: My God, you always do this.
- 18:44Rick Costa: It's called Jesus.
- 18:45Rick Costa: That's what it's called.
- 18:46Rick Costa: It's literally called Jesus.
- 18:48Rick Costa: Yeah, it's an all.
- 18:50Carmen Lezeth: Who wrote?
- 18:50Rick Costa: it.
- 18:51Rick Costa: Oh gosh, I don't know, but it's literally.
- 18:52Rick Costa: They're trying to translate in every language all around the world Blah, blah, blah, okay, all right, but yeah, I've seen that more than any other movie.
- 19:01Carmen Lezeth: Who directed it.
- 19:01Carmen Lezeth: Okay, this is not.
- 19:03Rick Costa: I haven't seen it in a while.
- 19:04Carmen Lezeth: Okay, non-secular movie then, my God, do we want to?
- 19:07Rick Costa: see it, you mean a secular movie.
- 19:08Carmen Lezeth: Whatever secular movie.
- 19:11Rick Costa: That could.
- 19:11Rick Costa: That could sound like a watch, probably over and over again.
- 19:13Rick Costa: Oh my gosh, trying to think, wait is that my car, making that noise your car?
- 19:18Carmen Lezeth: No, I think my car.
- 19:19Carmen Lezeth: Somebody's car alarm is going off.
- 19:21Rick Costa: Oh, alarm.
- 19:21Rick Costa: I was going to say what kind of noise is your car making randomly?
- 19:25Carmen Lezeth: What in the world is going on?
- 19:26Carmen Lezeth: I thought you could hear it.
- 19:27Carmen Lezeth: Hold on a second.
- 19:27Carmen Lezeth: Well, it's off now.
- 19:29Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I don't know, I my cars parked like in the parking area but it's.
- 19:33Carmen Lezeth: It sounds farther away.
- 19:34Carmen Lezeth: But you know, when you hear it you're like wait a minute, oh okay, that makes me really Graham Association Did the film.
- 19:41Carmen Lezeth: Okay, okay, cool, all right, sue.
- 19:44Rick Costa: Well, there's another movie I've seen not as many times, but definitely have seen a bunch of times believe it or not, you're gonna probably laugh the original Stargate movie.
- 19:53Rick Costa: I've actually seen that a bunch of times really, I don't even love that one though.
- 19:57Carmen Lezeth: I know you don't, I know it's not that good with Kurt Russell.
- 20:00Carmen Lezeth: Mm-hmm, yeah, I like it.
- 20:02Carmen Lezeth: So that?
- 20:05Carmen Lezeth: So if you're stuck on an island, you want the original Stargate Movie as your love of movie.
- 20:13Carmen Lezeth: You have one movie to watch for the rest of your life.
- 20:15Carmen Lezeth: Gosh, yeah, see, this is why I sent you the list.
- 20:24Carmen Lezeth: See, you gotta have time.
- 20:25Carmen Lezeth: You gotta gotta read the list.
- 20:28Rick Costa: Honey, I worked so hard today.
- 20:29Rick Costa: I felt like I worked an entire week in a day.
- 20:31Carmen Lezeth: It was you know what who you telling?
- 20:33Carmen Lezeth: This whole week was horrible for me.
- 20:35Carmen Lezeth: Hey, talk about going back the first week to work and the new year and you think, like I was already like, okay, we got this.
- 20:44Carmen Lezeth: And I think everybody else was like, okay, carmen got it.
- 20:48Carmen Lezeth: Gee, thanks.
- 20:51Carmen Lezeth: I hated this week so much, so much like I Honestly, I can honestly say I Thought about just quitting every one of my jobs and being like you know what, I'm a wing it for like three months.
- 21:05Carmen Lezeth: Three months I would be crying and on the street, but still I was Three months.
- 21:10Carmen Lezeth: I was like I think I could do it, find a new job.
- 21:14Carmen Lezeth: I hated this week, work wise.
- 21:16Carmen Lezeth: I hate to say that because I know it's the new year.
- 21:18Carmen Lezeth: I'm not trying to be negative, being honest, and I still have to work tomorrow.
- 21:22Rick Costa: Yeah, me too, and I have to bring my mom to the doctor tomorrow, which is another stressor.
- 21:28Carmen Lezeth: Look, even sit there.
- 21:29Carmen Lezeth: Oh my god, me too.
- 21:30Carmen Lezeth: I'm everybody huh, I know I'm going tomorrow morning for blood work.
- 21:34Rick Costa: Okay.
- 21:35Carmen Lezeth: No, it's not that good.
- 21:36Carmen Lezeth: I have to do this more regularly now because of my Thyroid thing, majoga.
- 21:41Rick Costa: I was telling my son.
- 21:42Rick Costa: I said oh, my friend, she has that thing.
- 21:44Rick Costa: She just found out, it's that Japanese.
- 21:46Rick Costa: And he said exactly what it was like, how you know?
- 21:48Rick Costa: Oh well, Hashimoto's you knew it, he knew what it was.
- 21:52Carmen Lezeth: Wait, you called me your friend.
- 21:54Chris Rossetti: I'm sorry, you had a bad time too.
- 21:55Chris Rossetti: It's a tough.
- 21:56Chris Rossetti: It's a tough week.
- 21:56Carmen Lezeth: I don't know why, though.
- 21:59Carmen Lezeth: What is wrong with everybody?
- 22:00Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 22:06Carmen Lezeth: Maybe we should have like the first week in January off, so everybody could just be happy.
- 22:08Rick Costa: It's a new year and a fresh start and be, and then the next week then go back to you know what I'm gonna?
- 22:14Rick Costa: I mean, I mean I mean I know you're kidding around a little bit and that would be great, but I think people are just in the negative space.
- 22:21Carmen Lezeth: Everybody, I feel, okay, not, this is just my gut feeling, and my experience lately is Everybody is always blaming other people for stuff.
- 22:29Carmen Lezeth: You know, they fall through the cracks because they're not organized.
- 22:34Carmen Lezeth: Like, okay, here's the thing.
- 22:37Carmen Lezeth: Like when I make a mistake and somebody calls me out on it, I'm like, oh my god, I'm sorry, my bad, I don't keep trying to find somebody else to blame.
- 22:45Carmen Lezeth: And this whole week I'm like, oh my god, I'm trying somebody else to blame.
- 22:48Carmen Lezeth: And this whole week, in three different offices, three different times, three different people, they messed up up and each one of them found an excuse and had to give me a long ass story as to why they didn't do what they needed to do, instead of just saying you know what I messed up, I'm so sorry.
- 23:07Carmen Lezeth: Let me get that.
- 23:08Rick Costa: It's pretty much what I do.
- 23:09Rick Costa: I'm sorry I screwed up.
- 23:11Rick Costa: That's it.
- 23:12Rick Costa: Can we move on now?
- 23:16Carmen Lezeth: Well, it's kind of like.
- 23:17Carmen Lezeth: I think what people don't understand is that when you mess up something, it has a domino effect.
- 23:24Carmen Lezeth: So you don't do a report, let's say or you don't, I don't know, somebody didn't lock this gate, that we needed to have locked, or whatever, and then, like, all the dogs got out and Nobody knew where the dogs were.
- 23:38Carmen Lezeth: We're talking about very expensive dogs.
- 23:40Rick Costa: Oh, that's not good.
- 23:42Carmen Lezeth: And then the weird thing is that I'm getting called.
- 23:44Carmen Lezeth: Is this your friend?
- 23:45Carmen Lezeth: Hey, how you doing.
- 23:48Chris Rossetti: I came in with Without my foot, without my camera on, so I apologize.
- 23:53Carmen Lezeth: Oh, why are you apologizing?
- 23:55Carmen Lezeth: That's totally fine.
- 23:56Chris Rossetti: Well, I hate denying the public the beauty that is me.
- 23:59Carmen Lezeth: Oh, hey, I love that.
- 24:04Carmen Lezeth: No, thank you.
- 24:05Carmen Lezeth: Happy New Year and thank you for coming on.
- 24:07Carmen Lezeth: I appreciate you.
- 24:09Chris Rossetti: I've known Rick since the 1850s.
- 24:15Carmen Lezeth: And you're still friends with him.
- 24:17Chris Rossetti: Yeah, I started doing a Bible reading, live Bible reading.
- 24:21Chris Rossetti: Oh my goodness, rick, with nine years, eight years, I don't know years ago I started reading Bible.
- 24:26Chris Rossetti: It was so funny because everything was so primitive.
- 24:29Chris Rossetti: I just would turn the phone on and and point it to oh wait, you mean you're, you're reading it online.
- 24:40Chris Rossetti: Yeah, yeah, oh, okay.
- 24:41Carmen Lezeth: I'm sorry I missed that part.
- 24:41Carmen Lezeth: I thought you were just saying personally you were reading it, Okay no, no, no, I wanted.
- 24:45Chris Rossetti: I wanted to read the Bible through scope online.
- 24:48Chris Rossetti: It might have you been before periscope, okay, but anyway.
- 24:53Chris Rossetti: So I put the Bible physical Bible, held it up with a napkin holder from the kitchen.
- 24:59Chris Rossetti: Okay pointed the camera at it and started reading it, you know, and I did that, for I read the entire Bible through.
- 25:07Chris Rossetti: And then I read the Old Testament through and Partly through.
- 25:11Chris Rossetti: I thought, man, I must be the only one that's ever thought of this, you know, and I discovered Rick.
- 25:15Chris Rossetti: He's been doing it forever, man.
- 25:18Carmen Lezeth: Okay, you guys are crazy.
- 25:19Carmen Lezeth: I think it's.
- 25:21Carmen Lezeth: I think that's pretty awesome.
- 25:22Carmen Lezeth: But that's how you guys met, because you were both doing that.
- 25:25Chris Rossetti: I Searched it out and I found him and I go dude, and he's from Connecticut.
- 25:30Chris Rossetti: I was born in Connecticut.
- 25:33Carmen Lezeth: Oh.
- 25:34Chris Rossetti: Okay, I was impressed he's kept the streak going man.
- 25:38Carmen Lezeth: Okay, so here's my question, because I've already asked Rick this question.
- 25:40Carmen Lezeth: And look at, we don't talk about religion on my show.
- 25:43Carmen Lezeth: You know that.
- 25:43Carmen Lezeth: But I do have a question for you.
- 25:45Carmen Lezeth: How do you reconcile being such a fan of sci-fi when it seems to be always anti God's stuffage?
- 25:52Carmen Lezeth: Do you get that vibe?
- 25:55Carmen Lezeth: I mean, maybe you see it differently than I do, but I I'm always shocked by well.
- 26:01Chris Rossetti: Well, I'll answer that question if you answer me this question.
- 26:03Chris Rossetti: Yeah, how do you reconcile shopping for groceries when they don't worship the Lord in the grocery store?
- 26:08Carmen Lezeth: What do you?
- 26:09Chris Rossetti: mean, I mean everywhere around us.
- 26:11Chris Rossetti: We are what's called in the world, but not of it.
- 26:15Carmen Lezeth: So I think like when I'm shopping for groceries.
- 26:18Chris Rossetti: You can partake of things right without being contaminated by things.
- 26:22Chris Rossetti: That makes sense.
- 26:24Carmen Lezeth: I mean absolutely.
- 26:25Carmen Lezeth: But when I go to the grocery store and that's a great way to look at it, by the way, and I'm gonna think on that but when I go to the grocery store, I'm not being influenced by non-God's stuffage, but when I'm walking, when, when I'm watching Stargate SG1, for example, they're talking about being against gods and they're actually like all the gods are big.
- 26:49Carmen Lezeth: Um, I don't know how to explain.
- 26:52Carmen Lezeth: It is weird to talk to you without your face.
- 26:55Chris Rossetti: Okay, let me.
- 26:55Carmen Lezeth: Let me put it this way it's an anti God stands in Stargate SG1.
- 27:01Chris Rossetti: Well, do me a favor.
- 27:02Chris Rossetti: While I'm talking, just look at Rick's Rick's face.
- 27:04Chris Rossetti: Here's the way.
- 27:07Chris Rossetti: Here's the way I look at it.
- 27:08Chris Rossetti: If you'll notice, I came in to this broadcast and, instead of putting my name, I put Q I told him I didn't catch that.
- 27:16Chris Rossetti: My wife what's the goofiest guy we know on on Star Trek, you know, and I thought about Q and she said Q because he's like the, the all-powerful God.
- 27:23Chris Rossetti: He turns out to be this jokester exactly, and he's not an all-powerful God.
- 27:27Chris Rossetti: I remember.
- 27:28Chris Rossetti: I remember watching I don't I don't watch a lot of sci-fi, by the way.
- 27:32Chris Rossetti: Let me just clear that.
- 27:33Chris Rossetti: Oh, okay, Sorry but I do remember.
- 27:35Chris Rossetti: I do remember years ago, in the 70s, I was in a little church, yeah, in 70s and there was a lady stood up a testimony time.
- 27:42Chris Rossetti: And I know we're talking church, so I'll make it quick.
- 27:46Carmen Lezeth: Look at.
- 27:46Carmen Lezeth: Please, anyway, that way, please go ahead.
- 27:49Chris Rossetti: She would get up, little tiny lady.
- 27:50Chris Rossetti: She would get up with her accent.
- 27:52Chris Rossetti: And we don't have no puny God, we have a big guy.
- 27:55Chris Rossetti: So fast forward like 35, 40 years, and there's a scene where the Hulk grabs the what's a little, smashes him yes, he goes, he goes.
- 28:06Chris Rossetti: Puny God like that right.
- 28:08Chris Rossetti: Laughed out loud in the movie because I remember that lady saying that.
- 28:12Chris Rossetti: So the answer to your question Is your question is they have these things, have no power over it, got it, yep, no that you know what no answer yeah, those are great.
- 28:24Carmen Lezeth: Yes, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off.
- 28:25Carmen Lezeth: I'm like just shocked.
- 28:26Carmen Lezeth: I was.
- 28:26Carmen Lezeth: That's one of the best answers I've ever heard, because those are puny gods.
- 28:30Carmen Lezeth: That's not the real God and actually in Stargate SG1 they don't say they don't believe in God.
- 28:35Carmen Lezeth: When they're asked, they say these are not gods.
- 28:39Rick Costa: You know what I mean.
- 28:39Carmen Lezeth: Like right there, false Well.
- 28:41Carmen Lezeth: I didn't even say they don't say false gods, they say they're not God's.
- 28:44Chris Rossetti: You know what I mean, but yeah, oh, to put it simpler, yeah, I have a philosophy eat the meat, spit out the bones.
- 28:50Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I didn't even hear that.
- 28:51Chris Rossetti: It was too fast and I didn't understand eat the meat, spit out the bones, take what's good and don't partake of the rest.
- 28:59Carmen Lezeth: Okay, okay, it's just, you know, for me it's like I was watching it because, as I get to know Rick Moore, I'm like and I know he's into sci-fi I'm like how can he watch this part and not be infuriated?
- 29:10Carmen Lezeth: But I like what you just said, so it put some clarity for me.
- 29:14Carmen Lezeth: So thank you for that.
- 29:15Rick Costa: I appreciate you and for me the whole sci-fi thing is complete fantasy, you know, from beginning to end.
- 29:21Carmen Lezeth: So but, Rick, you can understand why, but you can understand why that would be hard for like for me.
- 29:27Carmen Lezeth: It would be hard to watch something I don't believe in at all.
- 29:30Carmen Lezeth: It's one of the reasons why I don't like horror films.
- 29:33Carmen Lezeth: Like I don't believe in that kind of evil, so I don't want to watch it and I don't want to partake in it and I don't want to be influenced by it.
- 29:40Carmen Lezeth: Now Cynthia, on the other hand, watches them all the time.
- 29:43Carmen Lezeth: She's like coming, it's just a joke.
- 29:44Carmen Lezeth: It's like not a big deal.
- 29:46Carmen Lezeth: They're not even that really scary.
- 29:47Rick Costa: I'm like Cynthia the Disney girl, did you hear that?
- 29:57Rick Costa: I guess the original Mickey Mouse version whatever is not copyrighted anymore and somebody already took it made a horror thing out of it?
- 30:05Carmen Lezeth: Oh yeah, I think it's after a hundred years, right, that things become part of the public domain or something.
- 30:11Carmen Lezeth: That's evil, you know?
- 30:13Carmen Lezeth: Hey, um, chris, can I add?
- 30:15Carmen Lezeth: It's Chris, right?
- 30:16Carmen Lezeth: I'm gonna say Q in a second.
- 30:17Carmen Lezeth: What do you love the most?
- 30:21Carmen Lezeth: Since we're doing a love of show, I want to get your take on your favorite food.
- 30:27Chris Rossetti: Anything.
- 30:27Chris Rossetti: My wife of 36 years.
- 30:29Chris Rossetti: You're sitting right next to me While she's eating soup I made tonight actually.
- 30:40Carmen Lezeth: Oh.
- 30:42Rick Costa: When she goes to the bathroom.
- 30:43Rick Costa: Tell us the real answer.
- 30:44Carmen Lezeth: No, that was a good.
- 30:45Carmen Lezeth: Let me ask you this what movie do you love the most?
- 30:52Chris Rossetti: the man who shot Liberty Valance.
- 30:54Carmen Lezeth: I don't even know what that movie is.
- 30:56Carmen Lezeth: Who, who direct?
- 30:57Carmen Lezeth: Do I need to know?
- 30:58Carmen Lezeth: Do I know the director?
- 31:00Chris Rossetti: No, it's an old movie from way back in the day with John Wayne, lea Van Cleve, okay, jimmy Stewart, oh.
- 31:09Carmen Lezeth: Love to be sure it's an old.
- 31:11Chris Rossetti: It's an old old Western, and the reason I like it is my father and I watched it when I was a kid Over and, over and over again, so I have an association with being with my dad.
- 31:21Carmen Lezeth: Oh, that's cool.
- 31:21Carmen Lezeth: You know what?
- 31:22Carmen Lezeth: I'm gonna have to watch it.
- 31:23Carmen Lezeth: I'm gonna have to watch it.
- 31:24Carmen Lezeth: No, that gives me reason.
- 31:26Carmen Lezeth: I'm glad you said.
- 31:27Rick Costa: Jimmy Stewart, because now I got another movie choice.
- 31:30Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what's your choice?
- 31:31Rick Costa: It's a wonderful life.
- 31:32Rick Costa: Oh, that's so many times.
- 31:35Rick Costa: That's a good one.
- 31:36Carmen Lezeth: I also love the sound of music.
- 31:38Carmen Lezeth: I don't know if I want to watch it all the time, like if I was on a deserted island, but I do love it and it does have great music.
- 31:43Carmen Lezeth: It's great story, so yeah, but it's a wonderful life, as a great one too, can't go wrong.
- 31:49Carmen Lezeth: Mine would have been.
- 31:50Carmen Lezeth: You know, of course, my top three everybody knows Color purple, field of dreams and 2001, a space Odyssey.
- 31:56Carmen Lezeth: Those are my top three.
- 31:57Carmen Lezeth: So I don't know which one of those I'd have to choose if I was on a deserted island, but you know.
- 32:03Chris Rossetti: My wife suggested cast away if you're stranded.
- 32:06Carmen Lezeth: No, cast away with Tom Hanks.
- 32:08Carmen Lezeth: Is that the one?
- 32:11Rick Costa: Of your three.
- 32:11Rick Costa: I would pick color purple of your three if I had to.
- 32:14Carmen Lezeth: I'd pick field of dreams field of dreams that's such a great one I mean, oh, but those are my three.
- 32:20Carmen Lezeth: I don't know.
- 32:20Carmen Lezeth: 2001, a space Odyssey is also just so Long and hard.
- 32:24Carmen Lezeth: But you can always find the morsels, yeah, and the color purple.
- 32:30Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I love the color purple, rick.
- 32:32Carmen Lezeth: You know, I guess my favorite movie and I'm gonna talk about the new one that's out now- I'm talking about the 1985 one, I think.
- 32:38Carmen Lezeth: The thing is it's so it's gonna make me cry every time.
- 32:42Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean.
- 32:43Carmen Lezeth: So I'm thinking if I'm on a deserted island.
- 32:45Rick Costa: That's very quotable, to love it.
- 32:47Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, but field of dreams, I know I'm gonna agree with Q.
- 32:52Carmen Lezeth: I'd probably go with field of dreams.
- 32:53Carmen Lezeth: I'm gonna skip TV show, because we talked about it.
- 32:56Carmen Lezeth: How about music, chris music, favorite music or genre, favorite song you can hear over and over and over again.
- 33:04Chris Rossetti: Okay, that's tough because I like, I like, I like everything, and people say that and they don't mean it, but I do mean it your eclectic but right now, the song I'm playing over and over for at least a year now is a song called lemonade by Alex Boye B.
- 33:25Chris Rossetti: Oh, my God B.
- 33:26Chris Rossetti: Oh why my wife thought I was gonna say Beyonce.
- 33:31Chris Rossetti: I don't even know a lemonade song.
- 33:36Chris Rossetti: I don't even know Beyonce.
- 33:39Carmen Lezeth: I was just about to be like oh my god.
- 33:43Chris Rossetti: My wife's over your cringy.
- 33:44Chris Rossetti: No, it's called lemonade by Alex Boye.
- 33:49Rick Costa: Wait, beyonce has a song called lemonade.
- 33:51Chris Rossetti: It's an album Innocent man.
- 33:54Chris Rossetti: We are pure, we are innocent.
- 33:57Carmen Lezeth: That is.
- 33:58Carmen Lezeth: I was totally shook.
- 33:59Carmen Lezeth: I was like, whoa, okay, wow, you, you.
- 34:02Carmen Lezeth: You were going up on that, like you know, list of amazing people.
- 34:07Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I just brought you back down because it's not Beyonce, so it's okay.
- 34:10Chris Rossetti: Look it up, I will boy yay, lemonade good.
- 34:16Rick Costa: What kind of music is it?
- 34:17Rick Costa: What style music is it?
- 34:18Chris Rossetti: You gotta check it out.
- 34:19Chris Rossetti: It's just what I would call positive gospel, if you will.
- 34:23Carmen Lezeth: We like positive gospel.
- 34:25Rick Costa: She likes smile.
- 34:27Carmen Lezeth: Kirk Franklins.
- 34:28Carmen Lezeth: I smile.
- 34:29Carmen Lezeth: It has been in my head since I don't know.
- 34:31Carmen Lezeth: I don't even know how it happened, but this year it's been my go-to song every single time.
- 34:36Chris Rossetti: Yeah and I like happy birthday to you if there's money in cards.
- 34:42Carmen Lezeth: So funny, rick, what song would you be on an island?
- 34:46Carmen Lezeth: I don't know how we got the island thing going, but Actually, I think I might have answered this once yeah, cuz you.
- 34:54Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I'm sorry, secular.
- 34:55Carmen Lezeth: We have to always go with you with a secular.
- 34:57Carmen Lezeth: So secular.
- 34:58Carmen Lezeth: Chris gets a pass, cuz you know.
- 35:01Rick Costa: Yeah, I mean, if you want to know what genre I kind of dig yeah, a genre.
- 35:06Rick Costa: Okay, dig, like I'm really old, I like R&B, believe it or not.
- 35:10Carmen Lezeth: No, I know you like R&B because you sent me a playlist.
- 35:14Rick Costa: I did of R&B.
- 35:16Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, or 80s, song no 80s.
- 35:18Rick Costa: That was all different, though that wasn't all.
- 35:19Carmen Lezeth: I know, but that's what I'm saying is, like you know, and I know you probably pick gospel over R&B, but you don't have to.
- 35:26Rick Costa: I mean Pretty much mostly anything Whitney does.
- 35:30Carmen Lezeth: Whitney who's?
- 35:30Rick Costa: amazing, still gutted, still gutted, that she ain't here anymore.
- 35:35Carmen Lezeth: I know it's.
- 35:35Carmen Lezeth: It's so weird, yeah, I don't.
- 35:38Rick Costa: She's around our age, you know, so it's really shocking.
- 35:42Carmen Lezeth: Speak for yourself she's around your age.
- 35:44Carmen Lezeth: No, actually, she's older than we were.
- 35:47Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yeah okay.
- 35:49Carmen Lezeth: That's the song, yeah, and I would try to do the sharing on the things so we can hear, but first of all, they blocked me on YouTube and secondly, I'm not that techy when it comes to this stuff.
- 35:59Carmen Lezeth: But, thank you, I will totally check it out.
- 36:00Carmen Lezeth: I promise I will okay.
- 36:01Carmen Lezeth: So now we're gonna get into some nitty gritty stuff.
- 36:04Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what relationships we're gonna start with, rick?
- 36:07Carmen Lezeth: What relationships do you love the most and why?
- 36:13Rick Costa: So this is like family versus friends versus.
- 36:16Carmen Lezeth: Whatever that means to you.
- 36:18Carmen Lezeth: You got this a couple hours ago.
- 36:20Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I know.
- 36:21Rick Costa: I know, I saw it.
- 36:22Rick Costa: I mean family to me.
- 36:25Rick Costa: I know it's corny maybe to some people, but it was just ingrained in me.
- 36:30Rick Costa: Family is huge, you know, like Blood is blood, and even my dad would say and my dad was very abusive to me, by the way, but he goes I don't care if I was mad at you and we didn't talk for 10 years.
- 36:43Rick Costa: If I saw you on the street beat up and bloody and you look like you might die, I'm gonna carry you to the hospital because you're bloody in my family.
- 36:51Rick Costa: Like some like wow, okay, that's deep.
- 36:54Rick Costa: I don't expect that from you, like mr Abuser person, but um, yeah, but they also can piss you off the most too.
- 37:02Rick Costa: That's the problem.
- 37:03Carmen Lezeth: Right, right, yeah, well, I look at, I have a different take on that whole family thing and I only will say this not to be disrespectful, but you know my story.
- 37:13Carmen Lezeth: So you know I think people talk about blood.
- 37:15Carmen Lezeth: But you know, if you found out you did DNA or whatever, you did 23 and me or ancestry or whatever, and you found out you weren't your mother's son, would you?
- 37:26Carmen Lezeth: You know you were switched at birth, accidentally or whatever would that change Anything about your love for your family, right?
- 37:31Carmen Lezeth: So I just get kind of.
- 37:35Carmen Lezeth: I get kind of queasy when I keep hearing this blood DNA stuff.
- 37:37Carmen Lezeth: And again, it's my experience because I didn't grow up that way.
- 37:40Carmen Lezeth: I didn't grow up with family, blood family.
- 37:41Carmen Lezeth: I grew up with a lot of family, but not blood family.
- 37:44Carmen Lezeth: So that would be my only thing.
- 37:45Carmen Lezeth: But I do believe family is probably the most important relationship.
- 37:48Carmen Lezeth: But family doesn't have to be for me a DNA thing, you know.
- 37:53Carmen Lezeth: And I guess to answer that question, which is sort of a question.
- 37:57Rick Costa: I don't think I would it would change anything for me.
- 38:00Rick Costa: I would want to seek out who is my real family and see if I can get to know them, if they want to know me.
- 38:05Rick Costa: But I've already been through everything.
- 38:06Rick Costa: I've been through with them.
- 38:07Rick Costa: That's.
- 38:08Rick Costa: That hasn't changed.
- 38:09Rick Costa: So my feelings wouldn't really change.
- 38:12Rick Costa: But I just I would want to find out about my real family.
- 38:13Rick Costa: I thought I wanted to find out.
- 38:15Rick Costa: Why did you abandon me?
- 38:15Rick Costa: That's good Nobody in the family would have to be like.
- 38:19Carmen Lezeth: No, but you know what I you, I'm on 23 and me and Ancestry and there was a time when I was looking for my father and looking for all of these Connections or whatever, and and then I realized, you know, I really Like you would think you do, and I think when you're younger you do, but being someone who is living that like I'll never know who my father, I'll never know who my father is, and that's okay, you know what I mean.
- 38:42Carmen Lezeth: But it's a weird kind of thing where you're like, yeah, now I'm this age and I've been through all this kind of don't want to know, like if I do know, I want him to be dead because I don't want to hear.
- 38:54Carmen Lezeth: Why does that make any sense?
- 38:57Rick Costa: I understand that.
- 38:58Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, it's a little, it's a it's.
- 38:59Carmen Lezeth: It's funny because most people who are not in the situation will answer in that way.
- 39:04Carmen Lezeth: And then most people that I know who are kind of in a similar situation that I'm in are Like, yeah, I don't want to know, or they did find out and they hated.
- 39:13Carmen Lezeth: I have one friend who Found out who their mother was and hate like the amount of hate they have for each other.
- 39:21Carmen Lezeth: I'm like, oh, my goodness, that would be.
- 39:24Carmen Lezeth: My biggest fear is because right now in my head, whoever my father is, I forgave him, I forgave my mom, and I'm like you know what?
- 39:31Carmen Lezeth: It's all good, I am, I am here, I have been loved, I've been taken care of, I have not suffered and I'm alright.
- 39:39Carmen Lezeth: You know what I mean and I was wanted and I think that's the difference.
- 39:43Carmen Lezeth: You know I was wanted.
- 39:44Carmen Lezeth: So, okay, chris, I'm so sorry.
- 39:46Carmen Lezeth: What about you?
- 39:47Carmen Lezeth: Relationships, most important relationships, am I?
- 39:51Chris Rossetti: well easy, since you said relationships pearl comes down to God, my family, my family and pasta.
- 39:59Chris Rossetti: Thank you.
- 40:10Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what do you love about your friends the most?
- 40:14Carmen Lezeth: Rick?
- 40:15Rick Costa: I love that.
- 40:16Rick Costa: First of all, I don't want to be friends with the yes people, yes man, yes women, whatever people that just yes you to death and just always.
- 40:23Rick Costa: Just, you know, if I do something wrong, I appreciate it.
- 40:27Rick Costa: If you honest, straight and tell me to my face you was dead wrong for doing that.
- 40:31Rick Costa: That's why I could take criticism and critique so well, but that is one of one of the things that I appreciate the most and I Don't have I don't have close friends that can't and won't do that for me, like I don't care for yes people I don't.
- 40:49Rick Costa: I mean, I love you from afar, but I need somebody that's gonna tell me the truth.
- 40:53Rick Costa: Even if it hurts, I'll get over it, you know right.
- 40:57Rick Costa: So friends like that I love friends like that are priceless.
- 41:02Carmen Lezeth: You know the ones that you can argue with or disagree with, or they can tell you the truth, even if it hurts, and sometimes it really hurts.
- 41:11Carmen Lezeth: I hate when people tell me the damn truth and I have to like.
- 41:14Carmen Lezeth: But, chris, what do you love about your friends most?
- 41:20Chris Rossetti: Oh no, that's easy.
- 41:20Chris Rossetti: The fact that they know better than to stop by without calling first.
- 41:24Chris Rossetti: Thank you.
- 41:30Carmen Lezeth: He's somebody that's always on your show.
- 41:35Rick Costa: We just know each other from Periscope first and become fans.
- 41:38Carmen Lezeth: All right, you'll have to give me in the green room when we're done.
- 41:41Carmen Lezeth: Give me the real lowdown on this man.
- 41:43Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what Do you love about social media love?
- 41:48Carmen Lezeth: It's not talking about the hate part.
- 41:50Carmen Lezeth: Let's talk about the love.
- 41:51Rick Costa: Go ahead, rick instant access to information.
- 41:54Rick Costa: Okay it's the act like before.
- 41:57Rick Costa: What do we do before the internet?
- 41:59Rick Costa: Go to library See your 26 volume encyclopedia, if you had those.
- 42:06Carmen Lezeth: But we do agree that all the information that you have almost too much and most of it is bad and wrong.
- 42:11Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, that's, that's the negative side, that's the other side, because you don't know if it's true or not really, you know I do think people are getting better at figuring out that they need to investigate a little bit more before believing every you know.
- 42:25Carmen Lezeth: I mean, I guess back in the day they had the what did they call it?
- 42:27Carmen Lezeth: Like the oil man, what was it?
- 42:29Carmen Lezeth: The snake oil man?
- 42:31Rick Costa: Oh, snake oil salesman, or something.
- 42:33Carmen Lezeth: Oh yeah, that's it.
- 42:34Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, snake oil, whatever it is, whatever I love, when I try to remember things that I know nothing about.
- 42:39Carmen Lezeth: But I think that's what's happening on the internet now is like I'm starting to see at least people aren't as Quick.
- 42:47Carmen Lezeth: I still think people are getting scammed all the time.
- 42:49Carmen Lezeth: I'm believing from the dumbest people on the planet things just because I say I'm a doctor, does it mean I am, or it's true.
- 42:58Carmen Lezeth: You know I can self-appoint myself anything I want and make a website about it, you know so, yeah, so that's that's it.
- 43:06Carmen Lezeth: For me, it's connecting with people I don't think I would have met otherwise, like you.
- 43:09Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, how else would we have met?
- 43:13Carmen Lezeth: We wouldn't have, do you think we would have?
- 43:17Rick Costa: No, how would I?
- 43:18Carmen Lezeth: know, do you believe in fate?
- 43:20Rick Costa: I mean I don't know, I'm asking I mean I believe I mean have to go back to God.
- 43:25Rick Costa: I believe God's got a plan, but we can go out of that plan.
- 43:28Carmen Lezeth: So right, but is the plan for Carmen and Rick to have met no matter what?
- 43:32Carmen Lezeth: Such an interesting question, right?
- 43:34Rick Costa: Well, because of free will, the no matter what can get messed up.
- 43:39Carmen Lezeth: Right, but if we didn't have technology would we have met, because I'm in California and you're in Connecticut again I say how would we have you know?
- 43:46Rick Costa: Yeah, it's fascinating unless you became a famous actress.
- 43:50Carmen Lezeth: And I saw you know, I was like oh, and then I was like yeah, I talked to my people, because I don't talk to people like you.
- 43:55Carmen Lezeth: I would have been all up in my head yeah, you still wouldn't have met baby.
- 43:59Carmen Lezeth: Chrissy is still there.
- 44:03Carmen Lezeth: Do you want to chime in?
- 44:04Carmen Lezeth: He doesn't have to stay on, you know oh.
- 44:07Chris Rossetti: No, no, this.
- 44:08Chris Rossetti: This helps me avoid having to help around the house.
- 44:13Chris Rossetti: You need to have your wife's email address so I can send her a link to the show I like social media because of the access and the, the way I'm able to communicate and meet people from around the world.
- 44:29Chris Rossetti: Different walks of life.
- 44:30Chris Rossetti: Life Many years ago yes, it's nine or ten years ago, I guess started to become physically limited in my ability to travel I put it that way With different physical things.
- 44:45Chris Rossetti: So I remember praying one day and saying these words I wish there was a way people could come to me.
- 44:53Chris Rossetti: Oh and I discovered that you know the periscopes and the Twitter lives, the haps TVs, the Ha, on and on and on, it seems like you were on helps.
- 45:04Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, oh my God, we never met.
- 45:07Chris Rossetti: Yeah, I was a hamster, and so to me it was an answer to prayer.
- 45:12Chris Rossetti: Actually, social media's been an answer to prayer.
- 45:13Chris Rossetti: It's a way to connect with people, and so today, to this day, I still read the Bible out loud online, and I read it on an app called Clubhouse, and Clubhouse still around?
- 45:24Carmen Lezeth: Isn't that an audio only thing?
- 45:26Chris Rossetti: Audio only.
- 45:27Chris Rossetti: I've been reading for almost three years, monday through Friday.
- 45:29Chris Rossetti: I read to the blind and the visually challenged.
- 45:32Chris Rossetti: They give me, they give me their requests and I read.
- 45:35Chris Rossetti: He knows joy.
- 45:36Carmen Lezeth: Oh, okay, now I'm getting the connection.
- 45:40Chris Rossetti: Oh yeah, so so that's been a good thing, and I'm a I'm a believer that technologies are not bad, they're good, they're just technologies.
- 45:49Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 45:49Chris Rossetti: So I enjoy it.
- 45:50Chris Rossetti: Yeah, yeah.
- 45:51Carmen Lezeth: How do you feel about AI Chris?
- 45:53Carmen Lezeth: I prefer Heinz 57, but I'm but would you put it on stake Right Right for Brian.
- 46:04Carmen Lezeth: Another one I have to be very specific with Chris how do you feel about artificial intelligence?
- 46:10Chris Rossetti: Well, I'm familiar with it.
- 46:12Chris Rossetti: All my report cards from elementary school said my intelligence was artificial in face.
- 46:16Chris Rossetti: So I'm familiar.
- 46:17Chris Rossetti: I'm very familiar with it.
- 46:19Chris Rossetti: Would you like to play a game, professor Falcon?
- 46:22Chris Rossetti: Oh my gosh.
- 46:24Carmen Lezeth: Oh, wargames, that was a great movie.
- 46:26Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, oh, I might have to put that on my list of things to watch again.
- 46:32Carmen Lezeth: I loved that movie.
- 46:33Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, that was a fantastic you know it still holds up today.
- 46:37Carmen Lezeth: I mean, it's a little dated, but the idea of it's still right.
- 46:41Carmen Lezeth: And that was it.
- 46:41Carmen Lezeth: It was Matthew Broderick right.
- 46:43Carmen Lezeth: Yeah.
- 46:44Carmen Lezeth: Wow, Look at Chris.
- 46:46Carmen Lezeth: With the with the movie trivia.
- 46:49Carmen Lezeth: Okay.
- 46:52Carmen Lezeth: No.
- 46:53Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what you just said at all.
- 46:54Carmen Lezeth: What are you?
- 46:54Rick Costa: talking about?
- 46:55Rick Costa: He's talking like the computer from the movie.
- 46:56Carmen Lezeth: No, no, I got that the first time.
- 46:58Carmen Lezeth: But he said I'm Dr Falcon, so I knew immediately.
- 47:01Carmen Lezeth: But I didn't hear what he said, do you?
- 47:03Chris Rossetti: know at the time, at the time of that filming, that set that they built for NORAD was the defensive movie set ever built at the time, oh wow.
- 47:11Carmen Lezeth: But wasn't that same set then used again to do the movie Apollo?
- 47:16Carmen Lezeth: I don't know if that's true, but it looked like the same set.
- 47:19Carmen Lezeth: They didn't keep it that long, but it was probably modeled after that one.
- 47:24Chris Rossetti: They used it in a few other things here.
- 47:26Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, like it was Apollo 11 or whatever.
- 47:29Carmen Lezeth: So, but it's the same.
- 47:31Carmen Lezeth: It just reminded me of that so much.
- 47:34Rick Costa: Creepiest computer voice, 2001, space Odyssey.
- 47:38Rick Costa: Because he just acted, he just had to two human and that was freak me out.
- 47:43Carmen Lezeth: Stanley Kubrick, though that was a masterpiece.
- 47:45Carmen Lezeth: That was really great.
- 47:46Carmen Lezeth: Okay, what do you love?
- 47:48Carmen Lezeth: Oh, I hate this question.
- 47:49Carmen Lezeth: What do you love about work the most?
- 47:52Carmen Lezeth: My paycheck.
- 47:54Carmen Lezeth: That's my answer.
- 47:55Carmen Lezeth: Go ahead, rick.
- 47:58Rick Costa: I like when I can interact with good people, nice people, because you do a lot of customer service right.
- 48:04Rick Costa: Yes, and, like I, just I was so sad because I just found out I called a company and there's this one thing that works there, worked there.
- 48:11Rick Costa: Now I found out she just retired.
- 48:13Rick Costa: I was like nobody told me and then she, and they said that she even said everybody called me, but Rick, I was like I didn't know you retired, I didn't know.
- 48:24Rick Costa: So they gave me her Facebook.
- 48:25Rick Costa: So I don't know if she saw it yet, but I sent her a message and I was this is the one that I said when she she didn't know what it looked like yet and she assumed, she said I thought you were short.
- 48:36Rick Costa: Black me Right.
- 48:37Rick Costa: Okay, I'll give you the black, but the short.
- 48:40Rick Costa: How do you get short from her?
- 48:41Carmen Lezeth: voice Short.
- 48:42Carmen Lezeth: So funny, kevin Hart, she was channeling.
- 48:46Rick Costa: Kevin Hart.
- 48:47Rick Costa: That's what it was.
- 48:48Carmen Lezeth: What do you love about your life most, Rick, that I'm in it now?
- 48:55Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I guess not.
- 48:59Carmen Lezeth: Well.
- 49:01Rick Costa: I like that I have a roof over my head, that I have clothes in my back, that I'm not hungry Like in so many other places in the world.
- 49:09Rick Costa: They don't have all that and they look at us like we're kings and queens and we're here complaining about the little stupid things where they would kill it.
- 49:17Rick Costa: I have what we have.
- 49:17Rick Costa: So I'm glad that I was born here where we have stuff.
- 49:21Rick Costa: We're blessed and I feel bad for them but I can't do anything for them.
- 49:25Rick Costa: But yeah, I guess I'm.
- 49:28Carmen Lezeth: I'm glad that I'm born here in a country where we have things, you know you know, I thought about this question a lot when I was because I came up with this list kind of last minute, remember, because I didn't really have a kind of idea for the show I thought about this and in my heart, what I kept thinking about was I love most about my life is that I've always been loved and and I know that people have an idea about what happened to me as a kid and I wrote the book or whatever but it's like it's a positive book, it's positive and it's like I always am grateful that because there are kids out there, there are people that grew up in different circumstances worse circumstances financially, or better circumstances, whatever and are not loved, are not loved Right, and I think I've been extremely wealthy in that way and I never want to take that for granted, you know.
- 50:21Carmen Lezeth: So I think that's what I love most about my life and I hope it continues on.
- 50:25Carmen Lezeth: I know that sounds weird, but I never want to take it for granted because it's huge, it's a big one.
- 50:32Rick Costa: And I think if you just sat down and said here you, here's a timeline of my life, here's all the events, they probably would think like you didn't feel loved, but that's the thing you were.
- 50:44Carmen Lezeth: I was.
- 50:44Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, I totally was, and it was random people, regular people, and I think that's what I see in our life now.
- 50:52Carmen Lezeth: That saddens me, that, you know, people are not as concerned about the next door neighbor's kid, right, they're only concerned about them when they think that they're bad, people are doing something horrible or whatever.
- 51:02Carmen Lezeth: But I didn't fall through the cracks because so many people and we've talked about this before, right, and we Laura was here and Tommy talked about it and whatever but this kind of idea of just always being able to know that the adults that were around me even I didn't know the mischangers were like we got you.
- 51:23Rick Costa: Yeah, they were looking out for you.
- 51:24Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, and I wish we were like that now.
- 51:26Carmen Lezeth: But you see it, you see, I mean even today, and this isn't a mean thing, but today I was at the grocery store and I was in line waiting and at the deli I was going to get some provolone cheese and the woman in front of me had three kids with a little kid.
- 51:42Carmen Lezeth: So she was holding one, the other one was in the carriage and then the other one was, like you know, putting his face up whatever against the glass.
- 51:49Carmen Lezeth: He was actually hilarious, but he was like, doing what little kids do you know?
- 51:52Carmen Lezeth: But the baby in the carriage was maybe, like maybe two years old.
- 51:56Carmen Lezeth: So you know, can, and I was just going like this hi, you know, like whatever.
- 52:00Carmen Lezeth: And she and the baby was just kind of looking, and you know how babies do whatever, and she kind of looked back at me oddly, as if I should not be saying hi to her children.
- 52:14Carmen Lezeth: So I left and went and got bread because I was like I'm not getting the middle of that.
- 52:17Carmen Lezeth: But it was a weird energy, you know, and I'm like, okay, maybe she's afraid somebody's gonna take her kid or I wasn't touching the child, but it's.
- 52:26Carmen Lezeth: But even to even that right, that negativity, that feeling of and maybe I misunderstood her, but I'm just saying in this day and age you can't really be that friendly with anybody because people think something or you think they're thinking something, and it makes me sad because I don't remember that growing up.
- 52:45Rick Costa: Didn't that kind of happen to you with the little girl in a store in Vermont?
- 52:49Carmen Lezeth: No, that happened, that was at the gap, but that was totally racism.
- 52:52Carmen Lezeth: Like this wasn't racism, this was like fear.
- 52:55Carmen Lezeth: That was, you know, just for people, because we do the audio podcast.
- 53:01Carmen Lezeth: You know, I was at the gap and this little kid blonde, white, blonde hair, blue blue eyes, running through the racks and I started playing hide and seek, you know, just not playing running around in the racks and the mother came running through like as, if, you know, something was about.
- 53:18Carmen Lezeth: It was clearly that was clearly a racial thing and but yeah, I don't think that's what this was.
- 53:25Carmen Lezeth: This was just going back to that idea of like.
- 53:28Carmen Lezeth: When I was growing up, I know there was a lot of fearful things, but I also remember knowing that you could trust people and feel like you know, like you could go to your teacher or you could go to your coach or you could go to your manager.
- 53:42Carmen Lezeth: Okay, I'm talking and people are like what?
- 53:44Carmen Lezeth: We don't have a manager agent, but you know what I mean.
- 53:46Carmen Lezeth: Like I did.
- 53:46Rick Costa: Yeah, it was a different time.
- 53:48Carmen Lezeth: It was a different time, so yeah, but anyways, chris, are you still there?
- 53:53Carmen Lezeth: Are you done?
- 53:53Carmen Lezeth: Oh, no, I'm here.
- 53:54Carmen Lezeth: Do you want to answer the question?
- 53:56Carmen Lezeth: What do you love about your life most?
- 53:59Chris Rossetti: What I love about my life most is my family, which was mentioned earlier, and my relationship with God.
- 54:03Chris Rossetti: I was also set free from 30 years of depression, and that is very fun.
- 54:07Chris Rossetti: I'm glad that's over with and also, oh, that.
- 54:11Chris Rossetti: I've only had five cups of coffee in my entire life.
- 54:13Chris Rossetti: Thank you.
- 54:14Carmen Lezeth: What do you mean?
- 54:15Carmen Lezeth: Five cups of coffee, your entire life.
- 54:17Chris Rossetti: Yeah, I despise this stuff.
- 54:18Chris Rossetti: Thank you, you're welcome.
- 54:21Carmen Lezeth: Why did you have five to begin with, then?
- 54:24Carmen Lezeth: Why would you only have one?
- 54:26Carmen Lezeth: The?
- 54:26Chris Rossetti: first one was in the 1960s.
- 54:28Chris Rossetti: It was an instant Folgers crystals in lukewarm tap water cup In the 1960s.
- 54:34Chris Rossetti: He's been a buddy of mine.
- 54:35Chris Rossetti: Try it.
- 54:36Carmen Lezeth: The next one was in 1974.
- 54:40Chris Rossetti: It was for 10 cents at a gas station in Jacksonville, florida.
- 54:44Chris Rossetti: The next two were a truck stop in southern Illinois and the final cup was Vietnamese coffee very strong, and I'm still awake from that cup of coffee.
- 54:55Rick Costa: Okay cool so you've never had like really good quality coffee.
- 55:03Rick Costa: I'm not a coffee fan either, by the way.
- 55:05Rick Costa: I can drink it, but I just don't care for it.
- 55:07Carmen Lezeth: You guys do not want to know me without some coffee.
- 55:11Carmen Lezeth: I'm just telling you now.
- 55:14Chris Rossetti: Whenever I go to Starbucks on occasion to order, pick something up from my wife or daughter, they ask for your name.
- 55:20Chris Rossetti: I always give them the same name DB Cooper.
- 55:24Carmen Lezeth: I don't know what that is.
- 55:26Chris Rossetti: He's American, american skyjack or guy who demanded money that parachute.
- 55:34Rick Costa: Oh, they mentioned him on the Loki show.
- 55:36Rick Costa: Loki pretended to be him on the first season of Loki.
- 55:39Rick Costa: Do you remember that, carmen?
- 55:40Carmen Lezeth: Where he was playing.
- 55:41Carmen Lezeth: I don't know who that is, though.
- 55:42Rick Costa: I mean I know Loki, but I don't know who they showed him pretending to be that guy he's talking about and Loki had like really short hair and he jumps out of the airplane.
- 55:49Rick Costa: That was in the first season, I think, of Loki.
- 55:51Rick Costa: Oh yeah, I don't remember.
- 55:53Rick Costa: That's why, when he said the name, I didn't make the connection, because I didn't know.
- 55:56Carmen Lezeth: I don't know who that is.
- 55:57Carmen Lezeth: Cynthia clearly knows who it is because she's laughing.
- 56:00Carmen Lezeth: I don't know who it is, yeah.
- 56:01Chris Rossetti: So I like to give that name and when I hear him call it out I don't answer.
- 56:04Chris Rossetti: I'll let him call it out two or three times and then I look at all the older people in the Starbucks, laugh, okay.
- 56:10Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to have to look that up.
- 56:11Carmen Lezeth: You're making me do so much homework with you.
- 56:13Carmen Lezeth: You're never coming up again.
- 56:14Carmen Lezeth: Okay, all right, we're almost done, because we've already hit the hour mark, so let's just go to what you love about today.
- 56:21Carmen Lezeth: Let's end on that.
- 56:22Carmen Lezeth: Go ahead, rick.
- 56:23Rick Costa: I'm going to repeat with somebody else a quitting time at work.
- 56:26Rick Costa: That's my favorite part.
- 56:27Rick Costa: Okay, quitting time.
- 56:29Rick Costa: And when my mom finally goes to sleep.
- 56:31Carmen Lezeth: Okay, fair enough, I'm going to say it was kind of cool just to have Chris come up out of the blue.
- 56:37Carmen Lezeth: I'm loving that today.
- 56:38Carmen Lezeth: That was a little bit of a surprise, chris, what you got about, what you love today.
- 56:42Chris Rossetti: Well, the fact that I'm one day older and one day wiser, and also I love the fact that today is almost over Seven o'clock here in California, it's nearly my bedtime.
- 56:58Chris Rossetti: Thank you, thank you.
- 57:00Carmen Lezeth: Oh my God, you're here in California too.
- 57:02Carmen Lezeth: It's awesome.
- 57:03Carmen Lezeth: We're scary all at the same time.
- 57:06Carmen Lezeth: I'll be right over that reminds me that.
- 57:10Carmen Lezeth: California.
- 57:11Carmen Lezeth: Are you in?
- 57:11Chris Rossetti: San Francisco, home of the three time world champion.
- 57:15Carmen Lezeth: San Francisco, I'm in San Monica, I'm in Los Angeles, okay, cool.
- 57:19Chris Rossetti: That's a safe distance, no worries.
- 57:20Carmen Lezeth: Safe distance, yeah, no worries, but I love you.
- 57:22Rick Costa: He reminds me of the old character on Carol Burnett?
- 57:26Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, the last time he walked so slow.
- 57:28Carmen Lezeth: He's like oh, come on as fast as I can.
- 57:31Carmen Lezeth: Right, but what?
- 57:32Rick Costa: was his name Tim something Tim.
- 57:33Rick Costa: Conway is real name.
- 57:34Carmen Lezeth: Tim Conway.
- 57:35Carmen Lezeth: That's it.
- 57:36Carmen Lezeth: That's it.
- 57:36Carmen Lezeth: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, wow, that was so much fun.
- 57:39Carmen Lezeth: Okay, thank you everyone.
- 57:41Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to cut it off there.
- 57:42Carmen Lezeth: Chris, thank you for coming up.
- 57:44Carmen Lezeth: I really appreciate meeting you and you chiming in.
- 57:47Carmen Lezeth: I really loved that.
- 57:49Carmen Lezeth: I'm going to have to do all this homework now, so watch movies and.
- 57:54Carmen Lezeth: But thank you so much for being here.
