Latest / MyLearningSource: For All Educators and Students / How One Click Can Make a Homeschool Vendor the Newsletter Star - MyLearningSource - Episode #8
Transcript
- What's happening, my learning source vendors and customers. This one is also, well, okay, it's not, it's for both of you. So please join in, in this conversation and in listening to this new portion, new opportunity that we have in here. It's our newsletter. So as I've been telling everyone, every time I go on the screen or through the audio, I want everyone to know that this is a cooperative between all different vendors. The vendors are there basically funding the marketing of this to get it out to more homeschoolers because we want a one stop shop for everything homeschooling so people can trust that they're getting good information and able to find the vendors that they need depending on what their state is. So like each of our states have like a minimum of like 20 different vendors in it and we are just growing. So now Florida itself, I know it actually has more than 230 vendors. I think we're up to like 280 vendors in Florida alone. The other ones are actually brand new. Florida has been around the longest. This was our prototype state and we try to get as much information as possible before we push this out to other states. Now that we're going out to other states, we have a fairly good machine together to get these out and to get the best information out to everyone. Now let's go back to what we are talking about today. It's our newsletters. We want everyone to stay in tune with this community. Now the one way we do this is we want to make sure that everyone can see the vendors workshops that are going. And so we have the normal, we have vendors workshops up here. We have written ones and we have live ones. But then you can, when you get into the vendor blogs, the workshops, sorry, workshop blogs, you can actually click into those and you can see who provided those. So my learning source, that one doesn't actually get you to a customer. So right here. Okay. This one is once upon a time, this is a blog post that they put together and you can actually click on the vendor themselves to get more information about that vendor. Now it's going to give you all this information here, but you can also scan through, you can find the services that it has. I know they're brand new, so they're actually working on their profile, different workshops. So these are the written workshops, not the live ones, scholarships that they're attached to picture galleries, and also reviews. Now they don't have any reviews again, they're brand new. So join on. If you've ever used them, please give us a review. If you are, uh, yeah, if you want to try them out, there's no reviews there. Try them out. I mean, I'm guessing they have some free sources on there as well. Go to their website, check them out, see what else you have on there. But at the same time, going back, we had their newsletter that they just posted, bring that back up. So they just posted this newsletter. So the more people that come into it, not just if I click on it a hundred times, it's going to be, Oh, it's going to be the most popular one there. No, this is actually the more people that actually click on, we'll be able to, this post will have the opportunity to become our next newsletter. So yeah. So, uh, so I'm distracted by this color, this color of my video is horrible. Okay. Um, so that being said, if this gets to be the most popular, uh, article, most popular by the amount of views, but also by the amount of clicks and also the amount of likes those three things, they all have different weighting scales, uh, scales. The more likes they get, the more views they get, the more everything, the more likely they are to be the number one for the week. Number one workshop for the week. If it's the number one workshop, then it's most likely one that other people would want to see. So that one vendor gets that one article sent out in our one newsletter per week. That great. So if you say you didn't go to the workshop for the website for a week, but you're still interested in it, you'll get an email with the most popular article that was up there. And you know what? It most likely will apply to you because it applied to other people. And the more people that jump on and look at this article, the more likely that one vendor will have the chance of being seen by everyone in our newsletter. And just to let you know, last week was actually someone that was a free tier vendor, so they got it for free. There you go. A ton of publicity. I think they got like 25 clicks by doing that. So I mean, be part of this community, whether it's a free tier, okay, that's, that's fine. But as we start bringing value to, I ask that you play a part with us and be part of this community. Help us grow my learning source and get it out to more homeschoolers. Because again, every penny that comes to us goes out and vent in marketing. That's marketing, whether it's Google, Google ads, or Facebook ads, or homeschooling convention newsletters. We've already done that once. We did that through the FPEA while we were waiting for Florida to prove itself. And it did. So we pushed, we went out to other states. So we are, again, are doing this as a community, trying to bring homeschoolers, vendors, educators all together to help one another, to find one source that they can go to for everything. And yes, we are doing plenty partners. So if you have a website that does something for homeschoolers that is something like this or is partially like this, partner up with us. Don't try to compete with us because I'm very competitive, but at the same time, why fight each other? We want to create a place that people can go to together and work this out. So maybe partner with us instead of compete against us and we'll make this place even better. And again, my company is historicalconquest.com. I want people to know about this. So because the more people that come to the site, more people will hopefully come to my website and then I will benefit from the 30 bucks I put in there every month. And then, well, actually I think I put in $60 now, but yeah, we want you to join in with us and be part of this. So thanks so much for joining us. If you have questions, please put in the comments below so we can feed you in with all this other information that we have. Give you more information, give you more insight into what we're doing now. Come back tomorrow because we will actually be talking about homeschooling and what they need, homeschoolers. So we will be talking specifically to customers tomorrow. Thanks so much for joining us and we'll catch you next time. Take care of y'all.
