Latest / Bards and Barrels / S3 Ep 2: The Opening Crack: Chonk Sundae Sour - Pineapple Whip
Transcript
- 0:17SPEAKER_03: Hey, and there's the opening crack.
- 0:20SPEAKER_03: First opening crack of the season felt a little weird.
- 0:22SPEAKER_03: It was weird.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: It had like this weird deep under.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: I don't know what that was.
- 0:27SPEAKER_03: That means that beer's been sitting somewhere for a while, maybe.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: I can see all the condensation on that side of the can.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: It's rough.
- 0:34SPEAKER_03: So it's time for the opening crack, the sideshow to the DD show we normally do where we taste and rank some beer.
- 0:40SPEAKER_03: Other than the weird opening crack, how's everybody doing this evening, fellas?
- 0:44SPEAKER_03: I'm well.
- 0:45SPEAKER_03: Woohoo! Yay! Yes, I love it.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Good.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: It was good to be back in the studio.
- 0:51SPEAKER_03: Season three.
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: Season three opening crack.
- 0:53SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 0:54SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 0:54SPEAKER_03: Oh, wow.
- 0:55SPEAKER_03: Do we get little buttons?
- 0:56SPEAKER_03: Do you want a button?
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: Find you a button.
- 0:58SPEAKER_03: At least get you like a gold sticky star or something if you want one.
- 1:01SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:01SPEAKER_03: Not as good.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: Want a button.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: It's not.
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: But he wants a gold star for every beer he's had to review that he hasn't been a fan of.
- 1:11SPEAKER_04: Ooh, another weird beer.
- 1:13SPEAKER_03: Yay.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: Hey, at least we haven't dove back into the pickle beer since you've been coming on the show.
- 1:19SPEAKER_04: So yeah, I think I I'd probably try it.
- 1:23SPEAKER_04: I would try real hard to set that one out.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: So just so everybody knows, Damon has two glasses.
- 1:29SPEAKER_03: He has the glass with the beer we're tried, and then he has a glass with beer he actually likes.
- 1:34SPEAKER_03: Just in case.
- 1:35SPEAKER_03: Just in case.
- 1:36SPEAKER_03: It's a palate cleansing glass.
- 1:38SPEAKER_03: Hey, I completely understand.
- 1:41SPEAKER_03: But tonight we're jumping back into at least type style.
- 1:47SPEAKER_03: Phil, what do we got going on?
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: So we are looking at another chonk.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: So if you've listened to any of our past episodes, we've done a chonk by Drecker before, but we have come across the pineapple whip.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of H's in there.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: We gotta make sure we have the size of the H's.
- 2:07SPEAKER_03: Stewie is coming on the show or something.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: And like the, I think the last chonk we did was also some version of a sour, right?
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: We're looking at a Sunday sour.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Um first thoughts.
- 2:20SPEAKER_04: No, we decided that chonk is the cat, right?
- 2:23SPEAKER_04: Oh, yes, yes.
- 2:24SPEAKER_04: Is the cat on the label again?
- 2:25SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: So usually let's talk about this.
- 2:28SPEAKER_04: They all seem to have some sort of variation of the cat on the label in some manner.
- 2:33SPEAKER_04: Kind of psychedelic.
- 2:34SPEAKER_04: Chonky boy.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: The big old kitty cat.
- 2:38SPEAKER_03: So so since we're talking about the cat on the can, the the description of this beer is our lovable hefty boy found himself in a land or a world full of delicious pineapple ice cream desserts.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: This new pineapple whip chonk is loaded up with pineapple, marshmallows, lactose, and pineapple sorbet.
- 2:57SPEAKER_03: I think they have that description down pretty solid on this one.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Definitely when you said the cat on the can or cat in the can, it makes me think of like the elephant in the room.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: The cat on the case.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: That's what it's gonna be now.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: Please, next time you're in a meeting for work, just drop that one.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: And then proceed without mentioning anything.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: So to all of our followers out there.
- 3:25SPEAKER_04: Phil needs that as a button.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: Chonky boy.
- 3:29SPEAKER_03: The cat on the can or chonky boy?
- 3:30SPEAKER_03: Which one?
- 3:31SPEAKER_03: I think both could work.
- 3:32SPEAKER_03: Both.
- 3:32SPEAKER_03: So if you're in your next meeting out there in Podcast Land, uh, if you're in a if you're in a meeting, please uh say you're going to address the cat on the can and let us know how that goes.
- 3:42SPEAKER_03: Uh so taste thoughts, guys, as you take a sip here.
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: What are what are your feelings on this one?
- 3:47SPEAKER_03: Whole lot of pineapple.
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh, you don't miss that for sure.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: It's very, very fruit forward.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: I like that when you went to go pour it too, you could almost like see some of the pineapple.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: Like it was it's a fruit beer, and they definitely have like must be, I don't know, parade pineapple in there or something.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like you can definitely see it like on the glass.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: And it's delicious.
- 4:10SPEAKER_03: So I th I I I really appreciate that, to be honest, because like last season we had toward the end of the season we had Nordic jam, which was uh it was like a Nordic fruits one, had cherries and strawberries and stuff in it.
- 4:22SPEAKER_03: But it I think one of the things that always throws me off when you have fruited beers is they're not necessarily the color of the fruit that's in them.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: Like I expected that beer to have like a red pinkish tint to it, and it comes out just like a golden ale or whatever style they were shooting for.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: It certainly tasted like fruit, but didn't represent the fruit well.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: The this chonk, it looked like a pineapple whip.
- 4:43SPEAKER_03: Whip, sorry.
- 4:45SPEAKER_03: Whip.
- 4:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 4:46SPEAKER_04: And it has that, I mean it has that sort of thickness to it.
- 4:50SPEAKER_04: Like there's yeah, it's got a different even like the foam viscosity.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: You can almost tell.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know, it just carries a different yeah.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: Well, it's made with pineapple sorbet too.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: So you would probably get some of the like thickness thickness to the bubbles.
- 5:06SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 5:07SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah, and I think somebody said that there's they list lactose as well.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:12SPEAKER_04: Which makes uh that gives it helps to give it that sort of creamy mouthfeel because lactose stays in the beer.
- 5:18SPEAKER_04: It doesn't ferment out like other sugars do.
- 5:23SPEAKER_04: So and this like it's got a nice clean finish that doesn't like really stick around too much.
- 5:29SPEAKER_04: Or like you like the the fruit lingers for me.
- 5:33SPEAKER_04: Um and not like you don't get any like real I know they call it a sour, but there's not really any sour coming through.
- 5:40SPEAKER_03: I I so we did the last Sunday sour, it was more like the orange dreams flavor.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: And I I thought the interesting thing, I think if I remember right, the description of that one said that there was like a vanilla soft serve in that.
- 5:52SPEAKER_03: It's like this time they say pineapple sorbet.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: It's like the marshmallow that they describe gives you like that very subtle hint of vanilla, but it's not like that ice cream vanilla in this one.
- 6:03SPEAKER_03: So you certainly keep that fruit forward where it's like very sharp fruit almost.
- 6:07SPEAKER_03: It this fits to me more of a sour than the orange dreamsicle did in some ways.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: So I didn't really I wasn't a huge fan of the orange cream sickle because it was so creamy.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: It was a little too much for me.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: This one I can handle.
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: Sure, yeah.
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: This one, I think I said this with the last one though.
- 6:26SPEAKER_03: I could also float a scoop of vanilla ice cream in this.
- 6:29SPEAKER_03: Like I think that would be flipping delicious.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: I think that this is about a couple ounces shy per cycle of being a wonderful breakfast drink.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: Sure, yeah.
- 6:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah, when I when I have it, I get the it reminds me of um like uh like graduation punch.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Oh, sure, yeah.
- 6:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like it that's like sprite and whatever other fruit, and like within whatever like concentrated frozen fruit you want to put in there.
- 7:01SPEAKER_04: That's 100% correct.
- 7:03SPEAKER_04: That's what it reminds me of.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: The thing the big solid chunk of stuff that comes out of the freezer like right before people start arriving.
- 7:13SPEAKER_03: Well, that's usually sorbet, isn't it, that they throw in there?
- 7:15SPEAKER_03: Like you you put sororbs.
- 7:16SPEAKER_03: I think you could sure put sorbet in those types of punches.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: A lot of times with like fruit frozen into it.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, totally.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we're pretty much there.
- 7:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:24SPEAKER_03: Uh so we should know that uh, even though we've had one of these, uh just a different flavor before, that this does come from Drecker Brewing.
- 7:30SPEAKER_03: Drecker's out of Fargo, North Dakota.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: Uh, so it's good to have them back on the show here.
- 7:36SPEAKER_03: ABV on this one is a 6.1%, which makes a little bit of sense because it's very sweet.
- 7:41SPEAKER_03: Um, so it makes sense that the alcohol content may be a little bit higher on this one, but it doesn't taste of alcohol at all to me.
- 7:48SPEAKER_03: I think this is another one of those dangerous ones where if it was a hot day and I had like three of these, I'd woo a butt be dragging.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: I feel like you'd feel pretty full though, too, with like all of the fruit after having it like it is sort of like surprisingly heavy.
- 8:02SPEAKER_04: Like it tastes like really light and refreshing in that, but yeah, it is.
- 8:06SPEAKER_04: I agree, it is surprisingly heavy.
- 8:08SPEAKER_04: It's got some chonkiness to it.
- 8:09SPEAKER_02: Chonk.
- 8:10SPEAKER_04: Chonked it up.
- 8:11SPEAKER_03: Chonky Balult.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: It's a little chonky boy.
- 8:15SPEAKER_04: Uh chonkalicious.
- 8:17SPEAKER_04: That's probably what they say around the office.
- 8:20SPEAKER_04: They have to address the cat on the right.
- 8:23SPEAKER_04: They have a big, they have a big meter.
- 8:27SPEAKER_04: The chonkalicious meter.
- 8:29SPEAKER_04: Whenever they make a beer, they they taste it and they say, I don't know if it's chonkalicious enough.
- 8:34SPEAKER_03: Man, I feel like we should have a chonkalicious meter in here.
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: Like, where does this rate on our chonkalicious scale?
- 8:39SPEAKER_03: Ooh, we need to rename our chat.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: It's no longer the challenge rate.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: Oh, man.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: Um, so let's talk a little bit really quick just before we move on to like getting into the actual DD stuff here.
- 8:54SPEAKER_03: Um, hops, not a lot of hops.
- 8:56SPEAKER_03: The IBU scale, uh, at least on um on Untapped, it doesn't list an IBU for this beer.
- 9:04SPEAKER_03: I couldn't find one on their website either.
- 9:06SPEAKER_03: Uh obviously there probably is hops in it somewhere because it has to have hops to be classified as a beer, right, Damon?
- 9:12SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah.
- 9:13SPEAKER_04: So yeah, but if there's no hops, it's not beer.
- 9:16SPEAKER_03: So technically there's some in there somewhere, but we can't taste it, and it's not imparting any bitterness on what we're tasting.
- 9:22SPEAKER_03: So there's that.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: No, there's so much else in there.
- 9:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: I mean and I certainly, and we'll get to this a little bit later, but I think this certainly makes it very approachable to people just because it's not your typical hoppy beer.
- 9:36SPEAKER_02: It might not be what we immediately go to, but it's you know, one ingredient that we haven't even touched on is marshmallows in there.
- 9:43SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 9:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:45SPEAKER_02: Like there's just so much going on in this.
- 9:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, which adds to that sort of like creamy, yeah.
- 9:50SPEAKER_02: Even more sweetness.
- 9:51SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 9:52SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 9:53SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 9:54SPEAKER_03: So uh let's talk a bit a little bit about uh let's bring DD back into our beer review here.
- 9:59SPEAKER_03: Where would we find this beer and what is it called?
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: And by where I mean what brew house?
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: Damon, you want to kick us off tonight?
- 10:05SPEAKER_04: I do.
- 10:06SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 10:06SPEAKER_03: Oh wow, okay, here we go.
- 10:08SPEAKER_04: What was I gonna say?
- 10:10SPEAKER_04: I'm yes and I know all about yes and.
- 10:18SPEAKER_04: However, uh I do not believe that this beer is found at an alehouse or at a tavern.
- 10:27SPEAKER_04: So I don't again, I know nothing about the world of DD, but I do know some things about uh the Victorian era.
- 10:36SPEAKER_04: Oh interesting, okay.
- 10:38SPEAKER_04: And once upon a time, pineapples were like the most expensive thing in the world to get your hands on, right?
- 10:46SPEAKER_04: And so rich people, like they would buy a pineapple and have a pineapple party.
- 10:52SPEAKER_04: Everybody'd come over to their house and they'd be that's for something else these days.
- 10:56SPEAKER_04: They'd show up.
- 10:57SPEAKER_04: That's if it's upside down.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
- 10:59SPEAKER_03: My bad.
- 11:00SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 11:01SPEAKER_03: Wait a minute.
- 11:02SPEAKER_03: Time out, time no, I'm just kidding.
- 11:04SPEAKER_04: I have uh uh a whole breadth and width of knowledge in my brain, Ross.
- 11:08SPEAKER_03: Pineapples?
- 11:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:10SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
- 11:10SPEAKER_03: I thought for a second you were gonna say I have a friend.
- 11:13SPEAKER_04: And this beer feels decadent in that sort of uh in that sort of a way.
- 11:19SPEAKER_04: Like this is a beer that somebody has, they import it from some exotic locale in order to show off, right?
- 11:27SPEAKER_04: And they do so at the end of the year.
- 11:29SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 11:30SPEAKER_04: Uh so this is this is referred to as Millie's Dividend Punch.
- 11:35SPEAKER_04: Ooh.
- 11:37SPEAKER_04: Uh, and it's served by Millie, who is the owner and proprietor of Merchant's Bank and Trust.
- 11:45SPEAKER_04: So at the end of the year, you know, assuming it's been a good year for the bank and trust, uh, Millie splurges big holiday bash for all the employees and families.
- 11:56SPEAKER_04: Love it.
- 11:56SPEAKER_04: And brings in a barrel of uh what they call Millie's dividend punch.
- 12:00SPEAKER_04: And they rename it because they're bankers and they feel that they can do that.
- 12:05SPEAKER_02: That feels like somewhere a certain rogue in the in the room would want to break in and steal.
- 12:10SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: Stealing pineapples over there.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: You guys just think there's beer in there.
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: It's empty.
- 12:18SPEAKER_03: Oh, man.
- 12:19SPEAKER_03: That whole story reminded me like Tom Hanks tells a story, like how his production company, like every year at Christmas, would get like a pineapple upside down cake from Tom Cruise and his employees would like fight over it.
- 12:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:29SPEAKER_03: That whole thing made me think of that.
- 12:31SPEAKER_03: It was always around Christmas time, same kind of thing.
- 12:33unknown: Yeah.
- 12:33SPEAKER_03: There you go.
- 12:34SPEAKER_04: Millie's dividend punch.
- 12:35unknown: I love it.
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: So mine is almost related.
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: So uh almost.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: Almost.
- 12:43SPEAKER_02: You'll get the almost upside down pineapple.
- 12:46SPEAKER_02: So chocolate is it?
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: We go to an establishment owned and operated by a pair of goblins called Gimlet and Gigglebit, who are adventurous.
- 12:58SPEAKER_02: And the name of the bar.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: We're paused alert.
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: The name of the bar is the Tipsy Turtle.
- 13:05SPEAKER_02: And on the sign, the name of the beer is The Swinger's Delight.
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: See?
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: It was almost related to yours to Millie's.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 13:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 13:19SPEAKER_04: It's along those lines, I would say, certainly.
- 13:22SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 13:24SPEAKER_03: That's great.
- 13:25SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 13:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 13:28SPEAKER_03: Never mind, I'm not going there.
- 13:30SPEAKER_04: Now, what's the relation of these two goblins?
- 13:34SPEAKER_04: And um business partners.
- 13:39SPEAKER_04: Your old college buddies.
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: They're adventurous.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: Goblins prefer not to be defined by the relationships.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: Mine, I don't believe, is related.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: So this is a right side up pineapple situation?
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: Probably.
- 14:04SPEAKER_01: Uh this beer is going to be named the sucking on sunshine.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: It's not really not related.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Not at all related.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: And you can find this, well, you probably shouldn't, but you can find it at Griselda's Tropical Oasis.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: Griselda is a hag who is luring adventures in with the facade of a paradise and false promise of refreshment with her beers.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: And then Adventures No More.
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: She sounds like a nice lady.
- 14:36SPEAKER_03: I guess.
- 14:36SPEAKER_03: That's what happens when that pineapple's upside down.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: What's the name of your beer again?
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: Suck it on sunshine.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: I like wrote it out.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: I'm like, she is.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: That should maybe be sippin'.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, nah.
- 14:47SPEAKER_04: Do you once whenever somebody says the name, do you have to sing whoa afterwards?
- 14:54SPEAKER_04: I feel like you do.
- 14:56SPEAKER_04: Suck it on sunshine.
- 14:59SPEAKER_04: Whoa.
- 15:00SPEAKER_04: And don't it feel good?
- 15:04SPEAKER_04: Casey and the sunshine band reference.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: I feel like maybe they also sort of they send their suckin' on sunshine over to the tipsy turtle and they just rebrand it.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: If you flip the words upside down, that's what you end up with.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: But Griselda just buys it from the bank.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: It's Millie's.
- 15:24SPEAKER_02: So how are you going to relate to this, Ross?
- 15:27SPEAKER_03: Well, I God, I feel like I'm way off from where you guys were, apparently.
- 15:30SPEAKER_03: Jeez.
- 15:31SPEAKER_03: We're going to uh Farview on the island of Moray, uh, which is in the Moonshe Isles, to the brewery, mint the Mystic Tide Brewing Company, where Wally, a sorcerer, I was feeling some dune for whatever reason.
- 15:45SPEAKER_03: So Wally Wally makes Wally's Weirding Whip.
- 15:49SPEAKER_03: Whip?
- 15:49SPEAKER_03: Wally's Weirding Whip.
- 15:53SPEAKER_03: But he's a sorcerer.
- 15:54SPEAKER_03: Uh that's uh that's all I got.
- 15:56SPEAKER_03: I didn't come up with enough like backstory on this one.
- 15:59SPEAKER_03: What?
- 16:00SPEAKER_01: It's called like Wally's Whip?
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: His Wally's Weirding Whip.
- 16:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:05SPEAKER_03: I feel like I guess it is connected with whip.
- 16:08SPEAKER_03: We made it.
- 16:09SPEAKER_03: Wally's whip.
- 16:09SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you're you got me there.
- 16:13SPEAKER_03: Oh, now that we've gone down that road.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: Uh Wally is serving up his cream ale.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: Gosh.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: What is that?
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: It's the Sunday sour.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: Thanks, Wally.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Appreciate it.
- 16:27SPEAKER_03: Wally's got you covered.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: Uh all right.
- 16:31SPEAKER_03: So moving on.
- 16:32SPEAKER_03: Uh it's time to rank the rank this beer.
- 16:35SPEAKER_03: Uh, so on a scale of one to 20, a CR1, challenge rating one, being like creamales, uh, things like that, to a CR20, which is like Imperial Spouts, Imperial Stouts, double IPAs.
- 16:46SPEAKER_03: Don't mind that I just said spout, it's fine.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: Uh what are you guys feeling on this one?
- 16:52SPEAKER_03: Whip.
- 16:53SPEAKER_02: Uh, I'm spouting a solid one.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: Spouting.
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: I'm spouting a solid one.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: I might be sucking on a one.
- 17:04SPEAKER_03: Big old one.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: You heard it here for first folks.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's for me, it's definitely towards the bottom.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: Even not for me.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: Someone who is not a huge like beer lover or large connoisseur of beers, I think, could approach this and say, This is beer.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: Like, I think that would might truly be the question.
- 17:21SPEAKER_03: So sure.
- 17:23SPEAKER_03: Uh, I think because of that, I'm gonna give this like a seven.
- 17:27SPEAKER_03: I can see that side of it.
- 17:28SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 17:28SPEAKER_03: For me, it it's a one.
- 17:29SPEAKER_03: I could I'd have no problem drinking this, but it's like if somebody came in looking for something fruity, this would be fine.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: If you come in looking for a beer and you're like, Oh, I'll try that, it would probably turn you off.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: You probably go like, this is maybe not for me.
- 17:41SPEAKER_03: I want my Bud Light or something that tastes, you know, has some malt to it and has some hops to it.
- 17:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, it's a tough question because everybody approaches from a different place.
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 17:51SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 17:52SPEAKER_04: Um and yeah, I don't think that I don't think anybody is really gonna find this unapproachable if that makes sense.
- 18:03SPEAKER_04: They might they might try some of it and say like, I don't really think that that's for me.
- 18:07SPEAKER_04: Unless you don't like pineapple.
- 18:09SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 18:09SPEAKER_04: Which is yeah, yeah.
- 18:11SPEAKER_02: You would not pick this one up at all.
- 18:14SPEAKER_04: So I d I think I've I think I've probably I'm gonna say six.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:20SPEAKER_04: In that sort of yeah, that sort of neck of the woods.
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's fair.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:25SPEAKER_03: So why don't you kick us off?
- 18:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah or nay, would you have it again?
- 18:30SPEAKER_03: The question is, would I have it again?
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, do you okay, so I guess do you like it?
- 18:37SPEAKER_03: And usually part of that is if you like it, you're gonna have it again.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: If you were not under duress, would you have it again?
- 18:42SPEAKER_03: If you didn't have uh any other available options.
- 18:46SPEAKER_04: I like it.
- 18:46SPEAKER_04: I think it's good.
- 18:48SPEAKER_04: I don't need to have another one ever.
- 18:53SPEAKER_03: Um that that's the kicker there, yes.
- 18:56SPEAKER_04: But the question is, would I have it again?
- 18:59SPEAKER_04: Yes, I would have it again.
- 19:01SPEAKER_03: Gotcha.
- 19:02SPEAKER_03: So, like if I went and bought some of these and we tried floating it, you would be like, Yeah, I'd try that.
- 19:09SPEAKER_04: Depends what else was in the fridge.
- 19:15SPEAKER_04: Do I have to have the whole thing?
- 19:17SPEAKER_04: I mean, that's a can.
- 19:18SPEAKER_04: I don't can't split it.
- 19:21SPEAKER_02: That's what you put ice cream in it, so it's not as much.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: I'll eat around it.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: All right, Brett, what do you got?
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: Uh you know, I said no to the orange one.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: This one I'm saying yes.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: Like, I would take this one starting off the morning ahead of an 11 a.m.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: football kickoff, starting the morning off right with one of these.
- 19:44SPEAKER_04: It's that mimosa kind of yep.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: See, and I was thinking, I thought you were headed for like the I would start off with one of these right in the morning before my 8 a.m.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: meeting.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: Let's just get that cat on the can out of there.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: So address it.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: Um I definitely would drink this one again.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: I I would buy it potentially, and I don't think I could drink all six, like in a sitting or even maybe two, but good news for you, it comes in a four-pack.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, even better.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: That's nice.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: They were thinking of you.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: We don't have to have price discussion about four versus six, but it's something that upsets me regularly with beer.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: So they are pint cans.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: Yes, they are.
- 20:23SPEAKER_03: That's true, they are beater cans, yes.
- 20:25SPEAKER_03: Uh, I'm I'm along the same lines as you.
- 20:27SPEAKER_03: I don't think I could ever have more than one, like in a day, but I I could go through a four-pack.
- 20:32SPEAKER_03: Like if I got one, I would have no problem drinking all of them.
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: So it's it's definitely yay for me.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: I think I said yay the last one too, uh, with the asterisk that I wanted to float that one as well.
- 20:40SPEAKER_03: So uh probably need to try that at some point.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: Um we'll still have an ice cream bar, but it's really just a bunch of Drake from Sours and ice cream.
- 20:48SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 20:50SPEAKER_04: Uh that's like well, you know, those like self-serve, like frozen yogurt.
- 20:55SPEAKER_04: Oh, yes.
- 20:56SPEAKER_04: Yes, yes.
- 20:57SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 20:58SPEAKER_04: Like they make like self-serve taps that keep track of how much you poured.
- 21:02SPEAKER_03: That'd be doable.
- 21:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I've seen those.
- 21:04SPEAKER_03: I've seen those with wine too.
- 21:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 21:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: This is doable.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 21:09SPEAKER_02: New business opportunity for someone.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: Let us know, we'll come visit.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: I was thinking Christmas party this next time around.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
- 21:16SPEAKER_03: Hey, there we go.
