- 0:00Speaker 1: B from Midtown Manhattan.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Here comes the Mark Simone Show on seven ten WR.
- 0:08Speaker 3: That's right live from midtown Manhattan. Why we're like two
- 0:11Speaker 3: blocks from Ken Griffin's house right now. We'll talk about
- 0:15Speaker 3: Ken Griffin. We'll talk about Crazy Mom Donnie. We'll get
- 0:19Speaker 3: to Stephen Colbert, we'll get to the Rolling Stones, we'll
- 0:23Speaker 3: get to Iran Marco. Rubio surprised a lot of people yesterday.
- 0:28Speaker 3: We'll explain now. Yesterday last night, there were two races,
- 0:34Speaker 3: two primaries, Indiana and Ohio, that were very important to
- 0:39Speaker 3: Republicans to Donald Trump. Won't go through all of it,
- 0:42Speaker 3: it's too boring to go through all the details. But
- 0:43Speaker 3: there were a bunch of people running in Indiana that
- 0:47Speaker 3: Trump didn't like. Some of them were Republicans that had
- 0:49Speaker 3: worked against him. He wanted to get rid of them,
- 0:51Speaker 3: so he supported their opponents. And in Ohio there were
- 0:54Speaker 3: people he was back. There were a lot of people
- 0:56Speaker 3: who was backing in Ohio and Indiana. Yesterday last night,
- 1:02Speaker 3: they all every single one won by landslides. Now you
- 1:05Speaker 3: know whenever a Republican candidate loses. There was that little
- 1:09Speaker 3: tiny state Senate race in Palm Beach. The Republican lost.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Front page news, Maga is over, trumps coattails are gone,
- 1:17Speaker 3: and there was another race somewhere, the little race somewhere
- 1:20Speaker 3: where the Trump back candidate didn't win. Front page news.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Lead's story on the nightly news whole first ten minutes
- 1:29Speaker 3: of the hour on MSNBC. How obviously the magic of
- 1:32Speaker 3: Trump is well. Yesterday was stunning, how many Trump backed
- 1:38Speaker 3: candidates surprisingly won, and one on one by fifty percent, staggering.
- 1:45Speaker 3: You'll hear no mention of it on the news later.
- 1:48Speaker 3: It won't be on the front page of the New
- 1:50Speaker 3: York Time, it won't be anywhere. They just pretend they
- 1:53Speaker 3: didn't see it. So Marco Rubio surprised a lot of
- 1:56Speaker 3: people yesterday. Now, of course, he's always been thought of
- 1:59Speaker 3: as a very smart, articulate sort of a guy, knowledgeable guy.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Talk to him as a possible twenty twenty eight candidate.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Of course, they talk about Jay d Vance and Rubio.
- 2:10Speaker 3: So Caroline Levitt, the White House Press secretary, is out
- 2:13Speaker 3: on maternity leave. She left, so Rubio did the daily
- 2:17Speaker 3: briefing with the press. Marco Rubio did the daily briefing
- 2:21Speaker 3: and stunned everybody. They knew he was a smart articulate guy.
- 2:26Speaker 3: But they said, well, maybe he doesn't know how to
- 2:28Speaker 3: handle the press conference. And you know, these reporters can
- 2:31Speaker 3: be pretty brutal. He dazzled them, absolutely dazzled them. He
- 2:36Speaker 3: was so knowledgeable, he was charming, he was authoritative. He
- 2:41Speaker 3: handled the press brilliantly. He did some of it in Spanish,
- 2:46Speaker 3: some of it in Italians, and most of it in English.
- 2:49Speaker 3: He just wowed everybody. They couldn't believe it. His stock
- 2:52Speaker 3: went way up yesterday whatever they asked him. Straight of
- 2:55Speaker 3: horror moves.
- 2:56Speaker 4: There is no international law that allows you to say
- 2:58Speaker 4: I'm gonna put minds in an inner national body of
- 3:00Speaker 4: water and I'm going to blow up ships that don't
- 3:02Speaker 4: listen to us and try to go through. That's what
- 3:04Speaker 4: Iran is doing. This is a criminal act and someone
- 3:08Speaker 4: needs to do something about it. Something needs to be done.
- 3:10Speaker 4: It's completely illegal, completely illegitimate, and completely unaccepted.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Yeah, no, people learn a lot. You should go go
- 3:15Speaker 3: online and watch the whole thing. You learn a lot
- 3:17Speaker 3: of stuff.
- 3:18Speaker 4: But Iran must accept the reality of this situation and
- 3:21Speaker 4: come to the negotiation table and accept terms that are
- 3:24Speaker 4: good for them but ultimately good for the world.
- 3:25Speaker 5: The diplomatic path.
- 3:26Speaker 4: If there's a real diplomatic path, I'm not know what's
- 3:29Speaker 4: going to be one, But if there's a real diplomatic path,
- 3:31Speaker 4: and we continue to explore it, Steve and jarreted are
- 3:33Speaker 4: working on that very hard. If there is one there,
- 3:35Speaker 4: it could be one that leads them to reconstruction, to prosperity,
- 3:38Speaker 4: and to stability.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Now, democratical yelling scream, well, obviously we're in a stalemate. Yeah,
- 3:44Speaker 3: it's the greatest stalemate in history for US. We got
- 3:48Speaker 3: the straight clothes, which means nobody can get any oil
- 3:52Speaker 3: from Iran. We don't need it, we don't buy it,
- 3:54Speaker 3: and then have to start buying oil from US, which
- 3:56Speaker 3: is great. We're the biggest supplier in the world. Now
- 3:59Speaker 3: it means with the straight close, the entire Iranian economy
- 4:03Speaker 3: is shut down. They have zero revenue. This has been
- 4:06Speaker 3: going on for weeks, two months of zero revenue. They're
- 4:10Speaker 3: about to run out of cash. So it's a great steal. Mate. Now,
- 4:15Speaker 3: what about the War Powers Act?
- 4:17Speaker 5: The War Powers Act is unconstitutional.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Now, this is not the position of me, not the
- 4:22Speaker 4: position of the President United States. Now, this is the
- 4:24Speaker 4: position of every single president that has occupied this position
- 4:28Speaker 4: since the day that law passed.
- 4:29Speaker 5: It's completely unconstitutional.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Yeah, now, of course, you know the Democrats always famous
- 4:34Speaker 3: for that hypocrisy and yelling at Trump you can't continue.
- 4:38Speaker 3: This is a violation the war power is that. Well,
- 4:40Speaker 3: every single president did the same exact thing. Obama and Libya,
- 4:45Speaker 3: you can go down the whole list, Clinton and Bosnia, Bush,
- 4:49Speaker 3: everybody's done the same exact thing. You don't need to worry.
- 4:52Speaker 3: But they'll say this is different. This is two months.
- 4:56Speaker 3: This is an endless war. It's two months. Remember that
- 4:58Speaker 3: Obama war in Libby that was seven months without any
- 5:01Speaker 3: War Powers Act seven months. Rubio, you know, he's Cube,
- 5:06Speaker 3: and he talked about Cuban.
- 5:07Speaker 4: There's no oil blockade on Cuba per se. Here's what's
- 5:09Speaker 4: happening with Cube, okay. Qba used to get free oil
- 5:12Speaker 4: from Venezuela. Used to give him a bunch of free oil.
- 5:14Speaker 4: They would take like sixty percent of that oil and
- 5:16Speaker 4: resell it for cash.
- 5:17Speaker 5: It wouldn't even go to benefit the people.
- 5:19Speaker 4: So the only blockade that's happened is the Cubans have decided,
- 5:22Speaker 4: I mean, the Venezuelans have decided we're not giving you
- 5:24Speaker 4: free oil.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Anymore.
- 5:25Speaker 4: And you can only imagine nowadays the way oil prices are.
- 5:28Speaker 4: No one's giving away free oil, much less to a
- 5:30Speaker 4: failed regime.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Yeah, so he was great. He really, really really impressed
- 5:34Speaker 3: people yesterday. So this is one of the most fascinating stories. Mom,
- 5:42Speaker 3: Donnie gets himself elected. Now. He's a great campaigner, he's
- 5:46Speaker 3: a great talker. He was, remember he was at one percent.
- 5:51Speaker 3: He got really lucky, really lucky. The candidates in that
- 5:56Speaker 3: Democratic primary, some that might have beaten him, They got
- 6:00Speaker 3: really lucky. Andrew Cuomo old death of a salesman. Andrew
- 6:04Speaker 3: Cuomo jumps into the primary, a guy who could never
- 6:08Speaker 3: win a Democratic primary ever again, could never get elected
- 6:12Speaker 3: in New York again. He killed too many people, too
- 6:14Speaker 3: much blood in his hands. He killed all those thousands
- 6:17Speaker 3: and thousands in the nursing homes, and then he killed
- 6:20Speaker 3: many more thousands with his no bail, no jail, let
- 6:23Speaker 3: the criminals back out, his closing the prisons, letting the
- 6:26Speaker 3: prisoners out. He changed the parole boards. That was all
- 6:29Speaker 3: left wing wackos. They let everybody out, including forty three
- 6:33Speaker 3: cop killers. So so many people died as a result him.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Not to mention the other bad policies. He closed Indian Point,
- 6:41Speaker 3: which rose everybody's electric bill rose twenty five percent as
- 6:45Speaker 3: a result. He killed fracking, which made your electric bill
- 6:49Speaker 3: go up another fifty percent. I mean, it was just ridiculous.
- 6:51Speaker 3: So he was never going to get elected. So that's
- 6:55Speaker 3: was such a break from Mom Donnie. So that's how
- 6:57Speaker 3: he won the primary. Cuomo just killed all the other
- 7:00Speaker 3: candidates and Cuomo couldn't win. And then in both primary debates,
- 7:05Speaker 3: Mom Donnie just slapped them around. Cuomo's the world's worst debater,
- 7:10Speaker 3: and that's how Mom Donnie got the nomination. As they say,
- 7:13Speaker 3: once you got the Democratic nomination, you're probably gonna win.
- 7:16Speaker 3: So he gets he's a brilliant campaigner, brilliant debater talker,
- 7:21Speaker 3: but a manager. No, he's never run anything. He's never
- 7:25Speaker 3: had a job, he's never been in business. He was
- 7:27Speaker 3: just like a crazy left wing radical college student. So
- 7:31Speaker 3: he does not have run anything. So he's attacking the billionaires.
- 7:36Speaker 3: He wants to tax the rich. He wants to close
- 7:38Speaker 3: Park Avenue and make it a pedestrian a park a mall.
- 7:43Speaker 3: I mean, just crazy stuff, free supermarkets. He have no
- 7:46Speaker 3: idea how to open a supermarket. If you wanted to
- 7:48Speaker 3: open a supermarket. It cost two million dollars according to
- 7:51Speaker 3: every supermarket. He wants to spend thirty for a tiny one,
- 7:55Speaker 3: a tiny, little crappy one thirty million. It'll never open though,
- 7:58Speaker 3: you'll never see it. Free buses the camp can't be done.
- 8:02Speaker 3: He has no power to do that. Free rant can't
- 8:04Speaker 3: do it. So then he declares war with the He
- 8:08Speaker 3: comes up with this Pieta tear tax, which, by the way,
- 8:11Speaker 3: was created by Andrew Cuomo. I don't know if he
- 8:15Speaker 3: created it, but he was the first one pushing it
- 8:17Speaker 3: wherever he found it. He was the one that started
- 8:19Speaker 3: pushing this Pieta tear attacks when he was governor. So
- 8:22Speaker 3: he decides to make a video. This is all he does.
- 8:25Speaker 3: He can't he's not a manager. He doesn't actually do
- 8:28Speaker 3: anything as far as running the city. He's an instagrammer,
- 8:32Speaker 3: a TikToker. He's the TikTok mayor. So he makes all
- 8:34Speaker 3: these videos. He made a video. He thought this is
- 8:37Speaker 3: gonna go viral. Well he was right, it did go viral.
- 8:40Speaker 3: He goes right outside, right over there, that's where Ken
- 8:43Speaker 3: Griffin lives, two twenty Central Park South. He went outside
- 8:46Speaker 3: his building, did a video identifying the building, saying this
- 8:50Speaker 3: is where Ken Griffin lives, pointing at it and bad
- 8:55Speaker 3: mouthing Ken Griffin, who's one of our biggest tax payers.
- 8:58Speaker 3: We got a lot of wealthy people New York, but
- 9:03Speaker 3: it's just a handful of billionaires and they pay most
- 9:05Speaker 3: of the tax. Now, the problem is Democrats, especially Mamdani,
- 9:10Speaker 3: but all Democrats don't believe in science. They never follow
- 9:13Speaker 3: the science. There's a science to running an economy. We
- 9:17Speaker 3: know what works, we know what doesn't. Scientifically, we've shown
- 9:20Speaker 3: it socialism, for instance, socialism. We tested that ten thousand times,
- 9:28Speaker 3: ten thousand times, over and over. We've tested social Every
- 9:34Speaker 3: experiment with it shows it's a failure one hundred percent
- 9:37Speaker 3: of the time. But here's this guy pushing socialism. They
- 9:41Speaker 3: just don't follow the science. They don't care. Also, when
- 9:43Speaker 3: you have an economy and you want tax revenue, let's
- 9:46Speaker 3: say that's your big goal, tax revenue. The people that
- 9:50Speaker 3: give it to you are Ken Griffins. You need a
- 9:52Speaker 3: bunch of Ken Griffins to get a lot of tax revenue.
- 9:54Speaker 3: If any of them move, you lose a lot of
- 9:56Speaker 3: tax revenue. Ken Griffin pays billions and billions and billions
- 10:00Speaker 3: every year in tax revenue in New York. If he moved,
- 10:04Speaker 3: he could lose five billion dollars right there in revenue
- 10:06Speaker 3: every year. Not just personally, but he has a lot
- 10:09Speaker 3: of business here, and he's about to He owns a
- 10:12Speaker 3: lot of businesses here. He was about to build a
- 10:15Speaker 3: new skyscraper fifty second in Park. It was it was
- 10:20Speaker 3: going to spend six billion to build this skyscraper, six billion.
- 10:26Speaker 3: It would take six thousand construction jobs about five years.
- 10:31Speaker 3: There would be six thousand construction jobs to build it,
- 10:34Speaker 3: and then when the building opens, it would employ fifteen
- 10:37Speaker 3: thousand people, fifteen thousand permanent jobs. It would bring in
- 10:40Speaker 3: billions in revenue. The guy already pays billions and billions
- 10:44Speaker 3: every year to New York and tax revenue. He also
- 10:48Speaker 3: just personally gives away about seven hundred million every year
- 10:51Speaker 3: for charity, just here in New York. This is the
- 10:54Speaker 3: kind of guy. If you're the mayor or the governor
- 10:57Speaker 3: and the guy announces this six billion dollar project, he's
- 10:59Speaker 3: going to eat fifteen thousand chaps. You're supposed to call
- 11:03Speaker 3: the guy say would you like to meet Let you
- 11:05Speaker 3: meet with him. What can we do to help? How
- 11:07Speaker 3: can I help you get this project? That's what you're
- 11:09Speaker 3: supposed to do. The mayor targets him. Ken Griffin now responding,
- 11:15Speaker 3: and he's right. He said, what Mom Donnie did with
- 11:19Speaker 3: that video showing my house, it was creepy, weird. Targeting
- 11:22Speaker 3: an individual.
- 11:23Speaker 2: They see of United Healthcare was killed just a few
- 11:25Speaker 2: blocks from my house. And anything that creates like an
- 11:30Speaker 2: agitation in the extremist on either side of the aisle
- 11:34Speaker 2: is a frightening dynamic. I mean, you know, if we
- 11:36Speaker 2: look at what happened in DC.
- 11:42Speaker 3: He's targeting this guy personally, it's unbelievable.
- 11:44Speaker 5: So what are you gonna do about Mom Donnie?
- 11:48Speaker 2: So, first of all, for New York public schools, I'm
- 11:51Speaker 2: happy to buy a copy of Animal Farm for every
- 11:54Speaker 2: ninth grader, Yeah, I said, And Mayor Mundammy, you just
- 12:02Speaker 2: shoot me an email, give me the delivery address. I'll
- 12:05Speaker 2: get them shipped right away.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Yeah. So he's speaking at this Aspen conference. Now, Chicago
- 12:12Speaker 3: had a crazy socialist kookie mayor who gave him a
- 12:15Speaker 3: hard time. So, and he had massive business, commercial interests
- 12:20Speaker 3: stuff in Chicago. He moved it. That's where he lived.
- 12:24Speaker 3: He lived in Chicago. So after the mayor did all
- 12:26Speaker 3: this stuff to him, He just packed up and left,
- 12:28Speaker 3: and he took all his commercial business with him, moved
- 12:31Speaker 3: it to Miami, where he has enormous stuff in Miami,
- 12:34Speaker 3: created a lot of jobs, pays a lot of money
- 12:37Speaker 3: in Miami property tax and commercial tax, so he could
- 12:41Speaker 3: close up all this New York stuff and take it
- 12:43Speaker 3: to Miami. And he was asked about that.
- 12:46Speaker 2: And now what the Mayor of New York has made
- 12:47Speaker 2: clear to my partners, and principally my.
- 12:49Speaker 6: New York partners, my New York partners.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Is that we need to double down on our bet
- 12:54Speaker 2: in Miami because we want to be in a state
- 12:58Speaker 2: that embraces that embraces business, that embraces education, that embraces
- 13:05Speaker 2: personal freedom and liberty, and that embraces people having an
- 13:10Speaker 2: opportunity to live the American dream.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Now again, you got two problems. One, as they say,
- 13:14Speaker 3: democrats never follow the science when it comes to an economy,
- 13:19Speaker 3: when it comes to crime, they just don't follow the science.
- 13:23Speaker 3: And Mam Donnie, besides all that, has no experience none
- 13:28Speaker 3: as doesn't know anything about managing. He's never even had
- 13:31Speaker 3: a job, never been in business, never run anything. So
- 13:34Speaker 3: he should be settling this right away. But he's holding
- 13:38Speaker 3: his ground. This crazy little mom. Donnie Ken Griffin probably
- 13:42Speaker 3: would be speaking out more and more about this.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Turn me into a political puppet was just in poor taste,
- 13:49Speaker 2: really poor taste. The tax itself is a tax that
- 13:51Speaker 2: discriminates against a narrow group of people. Is also disconcerting.
- 13:56Speaker 2: You know, our company is thinking about making a six
- 13:58Speaker 2: billion dollar investment in New York's three fifty Park, right,
- 14:02Speaker 2: are they going to now have a special tax rate
- 14:05Speaker 2: for those that own office buildings who live out of state? Like,
- 14:08Speaker 2: where's this stop in New York.
- 14:12Speaker 3: It's the dumbest thing ever. It's just democrats. They don't
- 14:14Speaker 3: follow the science. Now, let's say you had a restaurant.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Now you got your regular customers, you appreciate their regular customers.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Then you got your super regular customers. I mean guys
- 14:24Speaker 3: like that come in all the time every week and
- 14:27Speaker 3: they order all kinds of expensive wines and their checks
- 14:30Speaker 3: are eight thousand and six thousand. Hedge fund guys. They
- 14:34Speaker 3: come in all the time. You should be fawning all
- 14:36Speaker 3: over them. You wouldn't target them, you wouldn't put special
- 14:40Speaker 3: taxes on them, You would never want to drive them
- 14:42Speaker 3: out of your restaurant. It'd be insane, it'd be the
- 14:45Speaker 3: stupidest thing you can do. And if your business is
- 14:47Speaker 3: tax revenue, this guy is one of your top five customers.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Probably you should be. You know, other mayors not only
- 14:56Speaker 3: would meet with them, say here's my cell number. If
- 14:59Speaker 3: you ever have a if you need anything, call me.
- 15:01Speaker 3: That's the way you're supposed to treat guys like that,
- 15:04Speaker 3: because all they'll do is pump money and create jobs,
- 15:06Speaker 3: pump money into the city and create thousands of jobs. Hey,
- 15:10Speaker 3: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:14Speaker 3: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred Hey. By
- 15:17Speaker 3: the way, we just got the word Ted Turner has
- 15:19Speaker 3: passed away. Ted Turner just died moments ago, founder of
- 15:23Speaker 3: course of CNN, And uh, well, we'll talk about him.
- 15:27Speaker 3: We'll get to Ted Turner, he just passed away. We'll
- 15:29Speaker 3: get to that coming up. But we'll take some calls.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Next eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. We're
- 15:35Speaker 3: listening to.
- 15:36Speaker 7: The Mark some open showr.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:47Speaker 3: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Robert
- 15:49Speaker 3: in Westchester. Robert, how you doing good?
- 15:52Speaker 8: Morning, Mark.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 15:55Speaker 6: Are you there?
- 15:56Speaker 9: Hello?
- 15:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, go ahead.
- 15:58Speaker 8: Rob, not happening right, Can you see what.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Hey calls back here? Your line is cracking up. Let's
- 16:08Speaker 3: go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you doing.
- 16:11Speaker 10: Good morning Mark.
- 16:12Speaker 9: I'm doing very well, Thank you.
- 16:14Speaker 10: Mark.
- 16:14Speaker 11: While waiting on hold, I just saw an alert that
- 16:16Speaker 11: Ted Turner has passed away at age eighty seven.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Yeah, well we just mentioned that.
- 16:22Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm sorry. Perhaps I didn't hear it because I
- 16:25Speaker 11: was on hold. I was going to address the war
- 16:30Speaker 11: and with Iran, Okay, we've pretty much destroyed the military capabilities,
- 16:35Speaker 11: as everyone knows. What I wanted to ask you is
- 16:38Speaker 11: what's the status on the war between Russia and Ukraine?
- 16:42Speaker 11: Because I know President Velynsky was complaining that we are
- 16:47Speaker 11: not sending enough missiles for him to battle Russia.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good question.
- 16:52Speaker 10: You know.
- 16:52Speaker 3: It's funny, Ukraine, what is this year five of this war?
- 16:56Speaker 3: Year five? You never hear about it anymore? When was
- 16:59Speaker 3: less than anybody brought up Ukraine? But you know, we
- 17:03Speaker 3: lived in fear all our lives of the Soviet Union,
- 17:06Speaker 3: their military might and then Russia superpower. Russia with the
- 17:10Speaker 3: military the superpower. Now we watch them go to war
- 17:13Speaker 3: with this little country and they can't get anything done.
- 17:16Speaker 3: They can't fight, it's not much of an army, they
- 17:20Speaker 3: can't do much of anything. They don't have any kind
- 17:22Speaker 3: of sophisticated weapons. They don't even have night vision. And
- 17:26Speaker 3: the little tiny Ukraine has not only held them off
- 17:29Speaker 3: for five years. But if you really analyze this war,
- 17:32Speaker 3: you'd have to give the slight edge to Ukraine. They're
- 17:34Speaker 3: doing a little better than Russia is Russia get nothing done,
- 17:39Speaker 3: not taking much territory. They cannot fight, They've lost hundreds
- 17:44Speaker 3: of thousands of soldiers. A Ukraine getting better and better
- 17:48Speaker 3: every year at this longer range missiles, longer range drones.
- 17:52Speaker 3: You know, there was a parade that they wanted to
- 17:54Speaker 3: do in Russia. They can't do it now because they're
- 17:56Speaker 3: afraid Ukraine will blow up the parade. They're actually in
- 17:58Speaker 3: fear of Ukraine.
- 17:59Speaker 10: Now.
- 18:00Speaker 3: An amazing story of how much we over estimated the
- 18:04Speaker 3: Russian military. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike, how
- 18:07Speaker 3: you doing, Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 18:11Speaker 9: One of the best things about that Rubio press conference
- 18:13Speaker 9: was that he was really busting their chops, which is
- 18:16Speaker 9: a very.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Very enjoyable.
- 18:18Speaker 6: And to that point.
- 18:19Speaker 9: There was another ceremony yesterday.
- 18:22Speaker 1: That president helped with the President's the Presidential Fitness Test.
- 18:25Speaker 9: Peed back and he had a great away.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Yet Gary Player there and Buysondy Chambeau and Noah Syndergard
- 18:32Speaker 1: and a couple of people from the cabinet and he
- 18:34Speaker 1: opens it up a bunch of kids, of course, and
- 18:36Speaker 1: he opens it up.
- 18:37Speaker 9: The questions and it's all about it ran.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And it's like the press is so tone deaf. This
- 18:41Speaker 1: guy does great things all day long. He has the
- 18:44Speaker 1: ceremonies and they never you never hear about it unless
- 18:47Speaker 1: you happen to be on some weird you know, internet
- 18:49Speaker 1: page and they have a video link to it.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very tough to run a democracy, You're right.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Without working media, we don't have any actual news media.
- 18:57Speaker 3: It was a wonderful event. Remember at one point he
- 18:59Speaker 3: took the the kids, these young young kids there were golfers,
- 19:03Speaker 3: and he gave him a putting lesson. It was pretty interesting.
- 19:05Speaker 9: Yep.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Yeah, it was great.
- 19:07Speaker 9: And he was cracking jokes.
- 19:08Speaker 1: He goes, oh, I work out tremendously at least a
- 19:11Speaker 1: minute a day. He's so self deprecating and they'd only
- 19:17Speaker 1: end the first question.
- 19:19Speaker 12: What about I ran, and.
- 19:20Speaker 9: It's like, come on, just read the room a little bit,
- 19:23Speaker 9: you know.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah, very good point. Thanks for calling Mike. Yeah, so
- 19:27Speaker 3: if you're a CNN, MSNBC watcher, h New York Times reader,
- 19:32Speaker 3: you're not getting the news. You have no idea what
- 19:33Speaker 3: happened yesterday. It was pretty interesting, and he was great
- 19:36Speaker 3: with those kids, and it was a great putting lesson. Hey,
- 19:39Speaker 3: he's a great I played golf with him dozens of times.
- 19:42Speaker 3: He's a phenomenal golfer. You know, even at his age,
- 19:45Speaker 3: you'll lose some distance, you don't have as much turn
- 19:48Speaker 3: in your swing, but he can still win. Let's go
- 19:51Speaker 3: to uh Rich in Myrtle Beach, Rich. How you doing, hey?
- 19:55Speaker 12: Thanks Mark. Two quick points. Number one, they didn't try
- 19:58Speaker 12: to screw Steve Hilton too bad at debate left and
- 20:00Speaker 12: I watched them with it, and they were actually pretty
- 20:02Speaker 12: fat to him and the other Republican there as well.
- 20:06Speaker 12: And I saw Desantas signed a new redistrict ring back
- 20:09Speaker 12: for map for Florida, and yesterday's South Carolina announced they're
- 20:13Speaker 12: going to redistrict the state of South Carolina. She reads
- 20:16Speaker 12: that race and they're racist and crook Clyburg will probably
- 20:19Speaker 12: out of a job here in South Carolina. We after
- 20:21Speaker 12: sixty five years in the job.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Well, anybody, it's in Congress. The sixty five years should
- 20:25Speaker 3: be out of a job, anybody. But good point Rich, Yeah, yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 3: Steve Hilton. He's a great debate, very tough to be.
- 20:32Speaker 3: You know, the if DeSantis pulls this off, Republicans pick
- 20:36Speaker 3: up four extra seats in Florida. They'll do this in
- 20:40Speaker 3: a few other states, so that really has a big
- 20:42Speaker 3: effect on the midterms. Let's go to Tom in Connecticut. Tom,
- 20:46Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 20:48Speaker 9: There? You going?
- 20:48Speaker 3: Mark good?
- 20:49Speaker 8: I unfortunately live in the communist state of Connecticut.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not all communists. There's nice parts of Connecticut.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Where do you live in Connecticut? That's not one of them.
- 21:02Speaker 8: Okay, So yesterday I heard that Governor Lamont signed the
- 21:06Speaker 8: bill that just ice agents can't ram in.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 8: How can a state and ices a federal agency?
- 21:13Speaker 12: Is it not?
- 21:15Speaker 3: Yeah? I don't know if that'll hold up anywhere. That's
- 21:18Speaker 3: that's a sad story. It's a good point, Tom, Thanks
- 21:20Speaker 3: for calling that. Ned Lamont was a pretty good governor
- 21:23Speaker 3: because he had been a businessman he'd been in the
- 21:25Speaker 3: business world. He was realistic, he was pragmatic. It was
- 21:29Speaker 3: a pretty good governor. But now you know all this
- 21:31Speaker 3: crazy Democratic Party going totally crazy. He has to pretend
- 21:35Speaker 3: he's a left wing kook like everybody else. He's up
- 21:38Speaker 3: for election this year and it'll be the Republican candidate
- 21:41Speaker 3: will be Ryan Fozzio. Most likely. He's got like a
- 21:45Speaker 3: ninety eight percent chance of winning that primary. So he's
- 21:48Speaker 3: going very left just to just to win over that crowd. Hey,
- 21:52Speaker 3: when we come back, Howie Carr will be with us,
- 21:54Speaker 3: one of the great talk show hosts in America. We'll
- 21:56Speaker 3: talk to him next on seven to ten WR The
- 22:00Speaker 3: Marks Them Own show on se W. Hey, Howie Carr
- 22:08Speaker 3: is one of the great talk show hosts in the
- 22:10Speaker 3: world and best selling author too. You should get his
- 22:12Speaker 3: latest book, Mass Corruption. You can get everything. You can
- 22:15Speaker 3: get his podcast, his show, the books. Everything is at
- 22:18Speaker 3: Howiecarshow dot com. Howie Carshow dot com. Howie Carr. How
- 22:23Speaker 3: you doing.
- 22:25Speaker 10: Very good?
- 22:26Speaker 6: Very good? What do you think of this new this
- 22:29Speaker 6: new proposal which proposal, the Trump proposal or the Trump
- 22:35Speaker 6: Deal supposed that they're going to give them thirty days?
- 22:39Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, Uh, you got to give a ran credit.
- 22:43Speaker 3: They're the best negotiators in the world. They got absolutely
- 22:46Speaker 3: nothing going for them to zero leverage, right, but somehow
- 22:49Speaker 3: they get right.
- 22:50Speaker 6: What's going to happen if if we give them thirty
- 22:52Speaker 6: days to negotiate the nuclear deal, what's going to happen
- 22:54Speaker 6: at the end of the thirty days. Do you think
- 22:56Speaker 6: the American planes are going to start arriving to take
- 22:59Speaker 6: out the ranium? I don't think so.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Yeah. Uh, And they're a little crazy. You know. You
- 23:05Speaker 3: can fight Trump all you want, but at any moment,
- 23:07Speaker 3: a bomb that's is going to land on your head
- 23:08Speaker 3: on your way home one day if you're one of
- 23:10Speaker 3: those negotiators. But I think this is part of the plan.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Just keep the steelmate going because as long as that
- 23:16Speaker 3: straight is closed, their economy is stop.
- 23:18Speaker 6: That's the deal. That's the deal. I mean, that's that's
- 23:20Speaker 6: where I like about the whole deal is you know
- 23:23Speaker 6: that the the oil the oil capacity is almost full.
- 23:27Speaker 6: And I guess when you if you stop the pumping,
- 23:30Speaker 6: you you affect the geological formations, which sounds pretty serious.
- 23:35Speaker 6: That's going to take the Iranians a lot of time
- 23:37Speaker 6: to fix. If if that actually goes down. So I mean,
- 23:41Speaker 6: if you could just cripple their their their ability to
- 23:44Speaker 6: produce oil, that would that would put all that would
- 23:47Speaker 6: put them out of business, that would put all the
- 23:49Speaker 6: proxies out of business. You know, yeah, it's uh, I
- 23:54Speaker 6: want to do that, though I don't want to. I
- 23:55Speaker 6: don't want to lift don't lift the blockade though, mister
- 23:58Speaker 6: President Lease No.
- 24:00Speaker 3: I guess the Iranians just counting on the American media
- 24:03Speaker 3: to fight their case for them in.
- 24:05Speaker 6: America and the Democrats.
- 24:07Speaker 3: But I repeat myself, Hey, we just got word that
- 24:12Speaker 3: Ted Turner has passed away. Ted Turner died at eighty seven.
- 24:16Speaker 3: He's the guy that created cable news. What do you
- 24:19Speaker 3: think he thinks when he watches what he created CNN,
- 24:24Speaker 3: MS Racing.
- 24:26Speaker 6: Well, I mean, you know, he created it and now
- 24:29Speaker 6: it's it's it's on its I we CNN, and I
- 24:33Speaker 6: think most of the others are on their death bed
- 24:35Speaker 6: as well, aren't they really? When you get right down
- 24:37Speaker 6: to it, you look at the the median age of
- 24:39Speaker 6: a CNN or an MSNBC viewer, I mean it's they're approaching,
- 24:45Speaker 6: you know, Ted Turner room temperature themselves, aren't they? Mysteriously
- 24:50Speaker 6: even even Fox. I mean, Foxes may still making billions,
- 24:54Speaker 6: but you know, I mean they're kind of like, you know,
- 24:56Speaker 6: they're they they've plateaued. I mean, you know, kind of
- 24:59Speaker 6: like Wall Street journalists, you know, going lost. You know,
- 25:02Speaker 6: it's still making money, I guess theoretically, but it's.
- 25:05Speaker 9: You know down.
- 25:06Speaker 6: Their circulation was down twelve percent last year. I mean
- 25:09Speaker 6: it's I think, you know, it's over for a regime
- 25:12Speaker 6: control media across the board, isn't it.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, although the New York Time still makes money.
- 25:18Speaker 3: The New York Post does fine, but uh.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Yeah, well the New York I mean, the New York
- 25:22Speaker 6: Times is not a news is not a newspaper. It's
- 25:24Speaker 6: a religious organ you know, of a of a cult.
- 25:28Speaker 6: And the New and the New York Post is you know,
- 25:31Speaker 6: it's it's it's basically the national newspaper for all of us. Yeah,
- 25:36Speaker 6: you know, that's why they started. That's why they started
- 25:38Speaker 6: the California Post, you know, for the other side of
- 25:41Speaker 6: the country, so they could have a newspaper because there
- 25:44Speaker 6: aren't any newspapers in California. It's just like there aren't
- 25:46Speaker 6: any real newspapers in the in the Northeast. Yeah, except
- 25:49Speaker 6: for my newspaper, the Boston Herald. By the way, did
- 25:52Speaker 6: you see what happened last night in Indiana? Yeah, and
- 25:54Speaker 6: they keeps seeing Trump's coalition is falling apart. They took
- 26:00Speaker 6: out they took out these all these senators who refused
- 26:03Speaker 6: to redistrict, all the Republican senators. I just was looking
- 26:06Speaker 6: at the numbers. One of these guys, an incumbent, got
- 26:09Speaker 6: knocked out seventy three percent to twenty five percent.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Yeah, fifty's I've.
- 26:16Speaker 6: Never seen an I've never seen an incumbenty in any
- 26:19Speaker 6: primary lose lose like that. I saw a Democrat incumbent
- 26:23Speaker 6: congressman once lose two to one in Massachusetts. But that's
- 26:26Speaker 6: that's even worse than than I've ever seen. Yeah, last
- 26:29Speaker 6: night in the New States, they were these were Trump's people,
- 26:32Speaker 6: you know that, the defeat of.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Them, Yeah, everybody Trump backed last night and Tuesday's unbelievable victory. This,
- 26:38Speaker 3: what would you agree, will be the least covered story
- 26:40Speaker 3: of the day today in the media. This will not
- 26:45Speaker 3: make the Network.
- 26:46Speaker 6: Newsday right, right, you know, It's like it's like that,
- 26:51Speaker 6: you know, when I ran issues, I ran demands us
- 26:54Speaker 6: surrender and then the story of the big story in
- 26:57Speaker 6: regime control, media free buffs, Iranian good faith negotiating efforts.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Well, let's say the United States were attacked, God forbid.
- 27:09Speaker 3: But the United States is attacked the first day. They
- 27:11Speaker 3: killed the forty one top leaders in the United States.
- 27:14Speaker 3: They destroy our army, they take away our navy, they
- 27:16Speaker 3: wipe out everything we have. Would the press ever say
- 27:20Speaker 3: we're winning, They're losing, We're winning.
- 27:26Speaker 6: It's so ridiculous, I know, it really is. I mean,
- 27:30Speaker 6: you just can't. You can't, you can't rely on it.
- 27:33Speaker 6: It's I mean, and who but who's you know, who's
- 27:36Speaker 6: believing it? No one believes it? Did you did you see?
- 27:40Speaker 6: Did you see the California debate, the gubminatory of debate?
- 27:43Speaker 6: That was pretty interesting too last night, you know, I mean,
- 27:46Speaker 6: Steve Hilton just said, look, you know, all the Democrats
- 27:49Speaker 6: up on this stage are blaming Trump. Trump is the
- 27:52Speaker 6: president of forty nine other states. How come the other
- 27:56Speaker 6: forty nited states have gas two dollars less per day,
- 28:00Speaker 6: all the California. How come you singling out California? How
- 28:03Speaker 6: come we have the highest gas, the highest housing prices
- 28:07Speaker 6: in the United States? It was it was really a
- 28:09Speaker 6: good job I mean, I don't know if he can
- 28:10Speaker 6: win in a runoff, but he's he's doing a really
- 28:13Speaker 6: good job in this uh in this campaign.
- 28:17Speaker 3: I think, yeah, he's the smartest guy in the race.
- 28:19Speaker 3: He's absolutely right. But we're in a different world now,
- 28:21Speaker 3: you know, Mom, Donnie here in New York. He's a
- 28:23Speaker 3: smooth salesman. He can't manage, but he's a great salesman.
- 28:26Speaker 3: He's a great campaigner. Same thing with Gavin Newsom. We
- 28:29Speaker 3: got these salesmen, not managers. What do we do about it?
- 28:35Speaker 6: I don't know. I mean it's well, I mean, we
- 28:39Speaker 6: can win the elections or we can flee to h
- 28:41Speaker 6: to America. I mean that's what again, that's what most
- 28:43Speaker 6: people are doing that will live in California and New
- 28:46Speaker 6: York right they're they're they're packing up and getting out.
- 28:49Speaker 6: I mean, how do how do you uh, how do
- 28:52Speaker 6: you deal with this? I mean, Ken Griffin is just
- 28:55Speaker 6: pulling up stakes and you know the thing. The thing
- 28:58Speaker 6: is Ken Griffin. He doesn't from like a hardscrabble background,
- 29:01Speaker 6: but he comes from a solid middle class background. He
- 29:04Speaker 6: always worked his rare end off, even when he was
- 29:06Speaker 6: going to Harvard. I mean, he's worked a lot harder
- 29:10Speaker 6: and created a lot more wealth than Mamdani ever did.
- 29:13Speaker 6: Coming in as a you know, as as some kind
- 29:16Speaker 6: of refugee or something from Uganda, and uh, you know,
- 29:21Speaker 6: getting getting checking the boxes, living in a free university
- 29:26Speaker 6: owned housing, then then going to a an elite uh
- 29:31Speaker 6: woke private college in Maine, then becoming a rapper. He's
- 29:35Speaker 6: a neffle baby. He's never done anything. And you know
- 29:39Speaker 6: what that same that same uh a biographic biographical description
- 29:45Speaker 6: could be applied to Gavin Newsome, couldn't it. Yeah, thanks
- 29:49Speaker 6: everything handed to him. Pritzker, how about Pritzker? What have
- 29:55Speaker 6: any of these people ever done?
- 29:58Speaker 3: Hey, Ally Carr, could you explain New England? You know,
- 30:01Speaker 3: first Vermont alects Bernie Sanders. Now in Maine they got
- 30:05Speaker 3: this communist or actually a Nazi with the Nazi tattoo.
- 30:09Speaker 6: He is, he says he's a communist though, so.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Okay, But what happened? What happened in New England? Why
- 30:16Speaker 3: are they suddenly electing people like this or voting for
- 30:18Speaker 3: people like this?
- 30:20Speaker 6: The problem is all the people with trust funds have
- 30:23Speaker 6: moved in. You know, they like the they like the
- 30:25Speaker 6: green mountains. It's a nice view they like the Sea
- 30:28Speaker 6: Coast area, there's very there's a fewer and fewer real
- 30:31Speaker 6: mainers living on the Sea coast.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Now.
- 30:34Speaker 6: They've they've all been you know, pushed pushed back into
- 30:37Speaker 6: the inland, you know, with the pine trees and into
- 30:40Speaker 6: the trailer parks, the ones that haven't fled. I mean,
- 30:43Speaker 6: it's just it's just all trust funders up here now,
- 30:45Speaker 6: including including Massachusetts, you know, I mean, all the politicians
- 30:50Speaker 6: are are people from that that weren't that weren't born here,
- 30:54Speaker 6: you know. And I mean again, you can, you know,
- 30:57Speaker 6: you can be from somewhere else in the US, and
- 31:00Speaker 6: you know, move somewhere and get involved, but but don't
- 31:02Speaker 6: go don't go to these all these places, like like
- 31:06Speaker 6: New England, and just to ask everybody to change their ways,
- 31:10Speaker 6: you know, they move, they move into these these places.
- 31:12Speaker 6: It's the same way everywhere. They like, oh this is
- 31:15Speaker 6: a nice rural area. I'm gonna move in here. I'm
- 31:18Speaker 6: gonna spend five million bucks on a place that's worth
- 31:21Speaker 6: a million bucks. And and so then then they say,
- 31:24Speaker 6: then they say, hey, what's that noise. That's the Rotten
- 31:28Speaker 6: Gun Club. It was founded one hundred years ago by
- 31:32Speaker 6: by the people who live here and who work here,
- 31:35Speaker 6: and who fix your plumbing in your air conditioning when
- 31:38Speaker 6: it goes out of order, and and they say you
- 31:40Speaker 6: can't have the rob gun Club here. It's disturbing my tranquility.
- 31:46Speaker 6: And this is going on everywhere, not just in New England, everywhere.
- 31:51Speaker 6: Mark you know it, people listening know it, and it's
- 31:55Speaker 6: just this is why, this, this is why people you know,
- 31:59Speaker 6: mag this is a sort of a substrata of coalition.
- 32:05Speaker 6: You know, just leave us alone, you know, all we
- 32:09Speaker 6: ask is to be left alone. As a famous democrat
- 32:12Speaker 6: once said, look it up if you want to see
- 32:13Speaker 6: who said it.
- 32:15Speaker 3: He we got to start using the Mahwa for democrats
- 32:18Speaker 3: make America worse again. They're the Mawa movement. Well, Howie
- 32:24Speaker 3: Car great stuff. Hey, everybody get his latest book, Mass Corruption.

- 33:47Speaker 3: one of the guests later today. Latest done. Rudy Giuliani
- 33:51Speaker 3: doing much better as he reported yesterday and came out
- 33:54Speaker 3: of the Coma, came off the Venti later by late
- 33:57Speaker 3: in the day he was joking around. He's doing much
- 34:00Speaker 3: much better, and that looks like on the road to recovery.
- 34:04Speaker 3: So that's great. Coming up in the next hour, we'll
- 34:07Speaker 3: get to Ted Turner, who just passed away. We just
- 34:10Speaker 3: got the news about an hour ago. We'll get to
- 34:13Speaker 3: Stephen Colbert. His show has passed away and it's completely dead.
- 34:17Speaker 3: We'll get to that right after the news on seven
- 34:19Speaker 3: to ten wo.
- 34:21Speaker 7: Eight more more mister New York on seven ten wr.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Hey, look for the stock market hit fifty thousand in
- 34:33Speaker 3: the next couple hours. It will most likely happen and
- 34:35Speaker 3: setting all time records in SMP. But look for the
- 34:38Speaker 3: stock market to break the fifty thousand mark before the
- 34:42Speaker 3: day is over. Oil is down about eight dollars right now.
- 34:45Speaker 3: A lot going on. I ran you know, this is
- 34:49Speaker 3: a fascinating situation. By blocking the straits of Hormoose, they've
- 34:53Speaker 3: completely cut off their revenue. They have no money. It's
- 35:01Speaker 3: a fascinating situation. Way back in the Iranian Revolution in
- 35:05Speaker 3: the late seventies, some of you were around back then.
- 35:08Speaker 3: The Iranian Revolution caused all kinds of you know, we
- 35:11Speaker 3: were battling around the US Iran they cut off our
- 35:15Speaker 3: oil and it was terrible. We had tremendous gas shortages
- 35:21Speaker 3: in the United States. And if you around back then,
- 35:24Speaker 3: you remember there were gas lines that would go for blocks.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I mean, think about this. You had to wait in
- 35:32Speaker 3: line for gasoline and sometimes you had to wait an
- 35:35Speaker 3: hour or two hours in line to get gas. And
- 35:39Speaker 3: back then, a big problem is people would actually run
- 35:41Speaker 3: out of gas while in the line and couldn't move
- 35:44Speaker 3: their car. It got so bad that we had to
- 35:48Speaker 3: do gas rationing. This is in nineteen seventy nine in America.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Gas rationing. And remember you had to have it was
- 35:55Speaker 3: even an odd If you had an even number at
- 35:58Speaker 3: the end of your license bate, you could only buy
- 35:59Speaker 3: gas on an even day. Odd numbers could buy on
- 36:02Speaker 3: odd days. It was unbelievable and there were many times
- 36:07Speaker 3: with those long gas lines, the gas stations would run
- 36:10Speaker 3: out of gas and they would have these big no
- 36:13Speaker 3: gas signs they would put up. And now here's another
- 36:17Speaker 3: problem that happened back then. Back then gas was twenty
- 36:23Speaker 3: nine cents a gallon, thirty nine cents a gallon, forty
- 36:27Speaker 3: nine cents a gallon. Maybe in a crisis that could
- 36:29Speaker 3: go to sixty cents a gallon eighty cents again, So
- 36:33Speaker 3: there were only two digits on the price on the
- 36:37Speaker 3: gas pump, just two digits for the gas price. So
- 36:45Speaker 3: the price of gas went up so much. When they
- 36:47Speaker 3: cut our supply back in seventy nine and we had
- 36:52Speaker 3: so little gas, the price of gas ran up the pump.
- 36:55Speaker 3: They didn't have enough numbers on the pump. They were
- 36:58Speaker 3: unable to display a price over for ninety nine cents
- 37:01Speaker 3: a gallon, so the only thing they can do was
- 37:04Speaker 3: sell by the half gallon, so you could buy a
- 37:06Speaker 3: half a gallon of gas. Back then, it was so
- 37:08Speaker 3: out of hey, by the way, that's why they created
- 37:12Speaker 3: the fifty five mile an hour speed limit. It used
- 37:15Speaker 3: to be was it seventy five? Yeah, I think you
- 37:17Speaker 3: go maybe it was seventy speed limit on the highways
- 37:20Speaker 3: used to be seventy They reduced it to fifty five.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Now people think that was to make it safer. It
- 37:26Speaker 3: was not. That was done by the Department, by the government.
- 37:32Speaker 3: That was done in seventy nine to conserve gas. So
- 37:35Speaker 3: that's why they created the fifty five mile an hour
- 37:38Speaker 3: speed limb. That was originally just a conserve gas.
- 37:42Speaker 9: Hey.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Also, this whole crisis, this led to the creation of
- 37:45Speaker 3: the US Department of Energy in nineteen seventy seven. So
- 37:49Speaker 3: here's the beauty of all this, of what's going on
- 37:51Speaker 3: in Iran right now. We have completely destroyed every We've
- 37:56Speaker 3: destroyed their military. We have got the straight of horn
- 37:59Speaker 3: Moose close, which means they have absolutely no revenue coming in.
- 38:03Speaker 3: And believe it or not, right now you're going to
- 38:05Speaker 3: love this. We have created gas lines in Iran. Remember,
- 38:12Speaker 3: we're the biggest oil producer in the world. We now
- 38:15Speaker 3: produce fourteen million barrels a day thanks to Donald Trump
- 38:19Speaker 3: and is opening up the drilling. Under Biden, we were
- 38:22Speaker 3: doing four million barrels a day. Now we're doing fourteen
- 38:26Speaker 3: million a day. That's more than anybody in the world.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Saudi Arabia only does eight million a day. So we've
- 38:31Speaker 3: actually caused gas lines in Iran. That is great. You know,
- 38:37Speaker 3: here's an interesting thing about this, crazy mayor, Mom, Donnie.
- 38:41Speaker 3: They had this very solemn ceremony at the World Trade
- 38:44Speaker 3: Center Memorial when Prince King Charles was here, when King
- 38:50Speaker 3: Charles was here, and it was talaya wreath. It was
- 38:52Speaker 3: a very solemn ceremony, and Mom Donnie has no business
- 38:58Speaker 3: anywhere near any nine to eleven anything, since he pretty
- 39:01Speaker 3: much supported the other side on that. So Mayor Bloomberg
- 39:06Speaker 3: was there. Michael Bloomberg came and basically hosted. He was
- 39:09Speaker 3: the one that was with King Charles and Queen Camilla.
- 39:12Speaker 3: He was the one escorting them around. He was the
- 39:14Speaker 3: one Mayor Bloomberg, former Mayor Bloomberg. He was the one
- 39:18Speaker 3: that laid the wreath with him at the memorial. Now
- 39:22Speaker 3: this week we had the met Gala. It's tradition that
- 39:27Speaker 3: the mayor be at the met Gala. It used to
- 39:29Speaker 3: be quite a prestigious event. It used to be the
- 39:31Speaker 3: most elegant affair with the biggest names in business and society.
- 39:37Speaker 3: In recent years it turned into basically a Halloween clown show.
- 39:41Speaker 3: It's all crazy music, artists, all the society business though
- 39:45Speaker 3: they're not there anymore. So, but Mayor mom Donnie wouldn't go.
- 39:49Speaker 3: He refused to go. Yeah, it's one hundred thousand a ticket,
- 39:51Speaker 3: it's three hundred and fifty thousand a table. It's a
- 39:54Speaker 3: ridiculous elitist so he wouldn't go. They got Mayor Bloomberg
- 39:59Speaker 3: to go. They got Michael Bloomberg to come. So this
- 40:01Speaker 3: is twice now he's had to represent the city in
- 40:06Speaker 3: these kinds of events. So he had to represent mom
- 40:10Speaker 3: Donnie at World Trade Center, he had to represent him
- 40:16Speaker 3: at the met Gala. So it's pretty silly. We got
- 40:21Speaker 3: a mayor who can't do his own work, like the
- 40:23Speaker 3: older guy, the adult, a real mayor has to come
- 40:27Speaker 3: in and fill in for him at these things. Hey,
- 40:29Speaker 3: we had the sad news earlier. Ted Turner passed away
- 40:34Speaker 3: at the age of eighty seven. Ted Turner, he was
- 40:39Speaker 3: a fascinating guy. He suffered from all kinds of mental
- 40:43Speaker 3: things at depression and all kinds of things. He was
- 40:49Speaker 3: on all kinds of medication for it. And I mean
- 40:51Speaker 3: a couple of times I m sed Luncheon's dinners where
- 40:55Speaker 3: he was the speaker and we couldn't find him. We'd
- 40:57Speaker 3: go backstage and he was asleep on the table in
- 41:02Speaker 3: the middle of the day. But a great guy. He
- 41:06Speaker 3: created CNN first. It was in all kinds of businesses.
- 41:10Speaker 3: His father committed suicide and he took over the business,
- 41:15Speaker 3: which was just some sort of advertising down in the Georgia.
- 41:20Speaker 3: One of the things he inherited was a local TV station,
- 41:24Speaker 3: and he decided he'll take his little local TV station
- 41:27Speaker 3: and make it a superstation. Nobody had done anything like
- 41:30Speaker 3: that before. He called it a superstation, and he was
- 41:32Speaker 3: a great salesman, and he went around the country and
- 41:35Speaker 3: got it on all the cable systems. So suddenly his
- 41:38Speaker 3: little local TV station in Atlanta was seen nationally everywhere.
- 41:43Speaker 3: It was called WTBS Turner Broadcasting System, and back then
- 41:48Speaker 3: you could watch WTBS or TBS or whatever they called it.
- 41:53Speaker 3: This little superstation was on your cable system wherever you were,
- 41:57Speaker 3: and they had unbelievably great programming. Why they had leave
- 42:01Speaker 3: it to beaver reruns in the middle of the day.
- 42:04Speaker 3: It was great stuff. So he became very successful with that,
- 42:08Speaker 3: and then in nineteen eighty one eighty two, he decided
- 42:12Speaker 3: to create a cable network that would be all news
- 42:16Speaker 3: twenty four to seven. Now, remember this is hard to imagine,
- 42:19Speaker 3: but before that, before nineteen eighty two, if you wanted
- 42:23Speaker 3: to watch the news on TV, you put on the
- 42:26Speaker 3: local news at six o'clock and the network news at
- 42:29Speaker 3: six point thirty, and you could watch the local news
- 42:32Speaker 3: at eleven a night, and that was it. That was
- 42:35Speaker 3: the news on TV. There was no other place you
- 42:37Speaker 3: could go on television anywhere to get the news. And
- 42:40Speaker 3: during the day when you're watching the soap operas and
- 42:43Speaker 3: the game show, sometimes at the end of the hour,
- 42:46Speaker 3: right before the hour they'd have, they'd cut away for
- 42:49Speaker 3: like a minute update or NBC News Update with Edwin Newman,
- 42:55Speaker 3: or who's the woman Nancy Dickerson, a little one minute
- 42:58Speaker 3: updore that was it. There was no other place to
- 43:01Speaker 3: get news on TV. So when he decided he would
- 43:05Speaker 3: do a twenty four hour a day news network, everybody
- 43:08Speaker 3: told him he was crazy. There's not enough news to do.
- 43:12Speaker 3: What are you going to do all day? I mean,
- 43:14Speaker 3: look at the Huntley Brinkley, look at Walter Cronckett. The
- 43:18Speaker 3: half hour they give you all the news. What are
- 43:19Speaker 3: you going to do the rest of the day. How
- 43:20Speaker 3: are you going to fill the other twenty three hours?
- 43:22Speaker 3: So it seemed, but he always said, they do it
- 43:26Speaker 3: on the radio. They got WIS in New York, WCBS
- 43:29Speaker 3: to get to these all news stations in various cities
- 43:33Speaker 3: do very well. So that's where he got the idea
- 43:36Speaker 3: to do that twenty four hours a day, and CNN
- 43:40Speaker 3: debuted there was CNN, it was the cable news network.
- 43:45Speaker 3: It seemed crazy. In eighty two, the original anchors were
- 43:49Speaker 3: remember Bernard Shaw and you know, I can't remember the
- 43:53Speaker 3: names were all the original anchors, and it did nothing
- 43:58Speaker 3: but twenty four to seven news. They got lucky because
- 44:01Speaker 3: a couple of things happened, bigger news events happened, so
- 44:05Speaker 3: it was just luck. There were major Africa of the
- 44:07Speaker 3: original major news stories where it did very, very well
- 44:10Speaker 3: with those. And then they got the idea at nine
- 44:13Speaker 3: o'clock at night, we'll break from the news do a
- 44:15Speaker 3: talk show at nine o'clock at night, and they hired
- 44:17Speaker 3: doctor Sonya what was her name, doctor Sonya Friedman. I think, yeah,
- 44:22Speaker 3: she was like a radio psychologist TV second. So she
- 44:25Speaker 3: did a nine o'clock show and it was pretty successful.
- 44:30Speaker 3: But this is one of those cases. This happens at
- 44:31Speaker 3: broadcasting where she decides, my husband will be my agent,
- 44:36Speaker 3: which you never want to do. That never works. That's
- 44:38Speaker 3: always a disaster. That's how Suzanne Summers couldn't stay on
- 44:42Speaker 3: two's company or three's company. You want a real agent,
- 44:46Speaker 3: you want the William Morris office or CIA professional agents.
- 44:51Speaker 3: They know these executives at the network. They deal with
- 44:53Speaker 3: them all the time. They can work together. You bring
- 44:56Speaker 3: in your husband. He gets into a fight with Ted
- 44:58Speaker 3: Turner's yelling at Ted Turner. He's threatening Ted Turner. Well.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Ted Turner knew the radio host Larry King. He'd been
- 45:07Speaker 3: on a show a lot. He thought Larry King was
- 45:08Speaker 3: pretty good. So he called Larry King right after the
- 45:11Speaker 3: husband is yelling and leaves his office. He said, hey, Larry,
- 45:16Speaker 3: could you do a nine o'clock TV talk show for
- 45:18Speaker 3: an hour every night? And Larry was stunned. He goes, well,
- 45:22Speaker 3: when would you want me to start? He goes, like tomorrow.
- 45:25Speaker 3: He goes, I can't stand his husband. I got a fire.
- 45:28Speaker 3: I just want to throw her off the air immediately
- 45:30Speaker 3: and put somebody else on. So it was tough for
- 45:34Speaker 3: Larry King to because he's always already doing that late
- 45:36Speaker 3: night radio show. But he offered him a lot of money.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Larry King did it, and it became Now. Remember there's
- 45:42Speaker 3: no Fox, there's no MSNBC, there's nothing else on, no
- 45:45Speaker 3: other cable news. It was just Larry King all alone
- 45:47Speaker 3: at nine o'clock at night. It became so big that show,
- 45:51Speaker 3: it had millions and millions of viewers. And it was
- 45:56Speaker 3: anything and everything. One night it was George Burns, the
- 45:58Speaker 3: next night it was Ted King. It could be anything.
- 46:03Speaker 3: Next night it'd be a show on abortion. And then
- 46:06Speaker 3: Bill Clinton is running for president and he becomes takes
- 46:11Speaker 3: the lead just by doing Larry King, who was the
- 46:13Speaker 3: famous Ross perrot al gore to became the biggest thing.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Presidents would do this show. World leaders would come and
- 46:21Speaker 3: do Larry King. It was unbelievable. Now years later they
- 46:24Speaker 3: would create Fox and MSNBC and it'd be Hannity, Rachel
- 46:29Speaker 3: Maddow and Larry King. It couldn't compete against him, so
- 46:31Speaker 3: they eventually dropped the show, but he had an incredible
- 46:34Speaker 3: run for twenty something years. But good for Ted Turner.
- 46:38Speaker 3: He created all of that. It was an amazing thing. Hey,
- 46:41Speaker 3: speaking of television, Stephen Colbert is going off the air.
- 46:45Speaker 3: Do you know what it is? Two weeks May twenty first,
- 46:50Speaker 3: you're in the final two weeks, Stephen Colbert, this awful
- 46:53Speaker 3: cancer on America, this hate filled, nasty, wormy guy with
- 46:57Speaker 3: the glasses. He's going off the air in two weeks.
- 47:00Speaker 3: Remember when Johnny Carson announced he was leaving. It was
- 47:03Speaker 3: the final year and every major star in the world,
- 47:06Speaker 3: came back to do one more Carson. It was a
- 47:09Speaker 3: year of superstars. Well, this will be two weeks. They
- 47:13Speaker 3: got Obama, He's gonna do it. That's about it. I'm
- 47:18Speaker 3: looking at the list here. Sally Field. I don't know
- 47:21Speaker 3: if seventy five percent of the audi is not gonna
- 47:24Speaker 3: know who she is. But okay, she was Gidget, the
- 47:27Speaker 3: Sally Field. Burt Reynolds, she was the Flying Nun. But
- 47:31Speaker 3: I don't think they're going to talk about that. But again,
- 47:34Speaker 3: I don't think that seems to be the guest list
- 47:36Speaker 3: so far. They can't get any big names. I'm sure
- 47:39Speaker 3: you'll see George Clooney in those types. But Colbert May
- 47:43Speaker 3: twenty first will be the final light, apparently preparing some
- 47:46Speaker 3: sort of emotional final show. So we'll see. It's May
- 47:51Speaker 3: twenty first, it's only two weeks from now. That'll be
- 47:53Speaker 3: the Actually two weeks from tomorrow, that'll be the end
- 47:56Speaker 3: of Colbert. Hey, the Rolling Stones have a new album
- 47:59Speaker 3: coming out. It's called Foreign Tongues. They had a big
- 48:02Speaker 3: event yesterday in Brooklyn, all of them on stage taking questions.
- 48:07Speaker 3: The audience mostly media, radio people, a lot of iHeart there.
- 48:11Speaker 3: Jim Kerr, Maria Muldo, Carol Miller, all those people were there.
- 48:18Speaker 3: So it's twenty twenty six now these guys are like
- 48:21Speaker 3: ninety five. We love the Rolling Stones. I know Q
- 48:26Speaker 3: one O four, which is the biggest classic rock station
- 48:28Speaker 3: in the world, right down the hall. I'm sure they'll
- 48:30Speaker 3: play this, but I don't know who's going to play
- 48:33Speaker 3: this album nowadays. You know, if this were nineteen seventy six,
- 48:39Speaker 3: they'd be on Z one hundred, they'd be on ninety
- 48:41Speaker 3: nine XT, they'd be on everything. But I don't know.
- 48:45Speaker 3: So they're releasing the single. I don't even know who's
- 48:51Speaker 3: going to play the album the single. Who's going to
- 48:53Speaker 3: play the single? The single is called something Stars? What
- 48:57Speaker 3: the hell is it called? In the Stars? Because I
- 48:59Speaker 3: think that are magnificent. Do you like the lyrics? I
- 49:03Speaker 3: don't know either. I can't tell one thing they're singing.
- 49:06Speaker 3: All right, let's be on. It sounds great, it's really good.
- 49:10Speaker 3: Doesn't sound like twenty twenty six. I don't know if
- 49:16Speaker 3: you didn't know who this was, if I didn't say
- 49:18Speaker 3: Rolling Stones, if I just took this audio down right
- 49:21Speaker 3: down the hall to see one hundred, the program director
- 49:23Speaker 3: is right there, the music director. I said, hey, listen
- 49:25Speaker 3: to this. Do you think he'd say, oh, we got
- 49:28Speaker 3: to put that on there. I don't know who's going
- 49:30Speaker 3: to play this, but the thing I noticed, you go
- 49:33Speaker 3: back the old Rolling Stones. Boy, that Mick Jagger voice
- 49:36Speaker 3: was so clear and so prominent. But you know, when
- 49:39Speaker 3: you get to be what is he ninety eight, when
- 49:41Speaker 3: you get to be older, the voice isn't quite there,
- 49:44Speaker 3: is it me? Or are they bringing up the instrumental
- 49:46Speaker 3: tracks to cover the voice up. I don't know. They
- 49:48Speaker 3: seem to be bearing his voice. That's not the mix
- 49:50Speaker 3: they would have used thirty years ago. You know the
- 49:53Speaker 3: other problem they got. We go down the hall to
- 49:55Speaker 3: some of these these We have all the top music
- 49:57Speaker 3: stations of the world down there, and the greatest DJs.
- 49:59Speaker 3: But twenty seven, they're twenty nine, they're thirty two. I
- 50:04Speaker 3: don't know if they know who the Rolling Stones are.
- 50:07Speaker 3: We could go out in the street and stop people
- 50:09Speaker 3: under thirty, stop people under thirty five. I don't know
- 50:12Speaker 3: if they know who the Rolling Stones are, but it's
- 50:14Speaker 3: it's good stuff. We'll see I hope they do well. Anyway, Hey,
- 50:18Speaker 3: we'll take some calls next eight hundred three two one
- 50:22Speaker 3: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 50:26Speaker 3: one zero seven ten.
- 50:28Speaker 13: Wow, you're listening to the Mark Simone Show on seven ten.
- 50:32Speaker 10: Wo r.
- 50:35Speaker 3: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 50:39Speaker 3: zero seven ten is number. Let's go to Howard in
- 50:42Speaker 3: North Carolina. Howard, how you doing doing great?
- 50:45Speaker 14: Mark, glad to speak with you. I'm just curious on
- 50:48Speaker 14: the Rolling Stones back in the day, maybe at Studio
- 50:51Speaker 14: fifty four. Did you ever run in the Micker know
- 50:53Speaker 14: any of those guys?
- 50:53Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, no, all the time, well even in
- 50:55Speaker 3: recent years. Yeah, Mick Jagger's all a big part of
- 50:58Speaker 3: New York. He spends a lot of time in New York.
- 51:00Speaker 3: He's the only Rolling Stone I know. The other guys
- 51:02Speaker 3: I don't know at all, but the one of them, well,
- 51:06Speaker 3: Keith Richards lives in Connecticut. It's been living in Connecticut
- 51:08Speaker 3: for like forty years.
- 51:10Speaker 14: Right right, well's great, love your show, Mark, Let's all
- 51:13Speaker 14: the time, have a great one.
- 51:15Speaker 12: Thanks.
- 51:15Speaker 3: Thanks. Yeah. Yeah, Mick Chagger had an apartment. I think
- 51:18Speaker 3: he still does, right. I don't want to say where,
- 51:20Speaker 3: but it's a block from where I'm sitting right now.
- 51:23Speaker 3: And uh, you know one thing about the Stones. You
- 51:26Speaker 3: remember when the album Some Girls came out that was
- 51:29Speaker 3: what was that late seventies really captured the field of
- 51:32Speaker 3: New York back then, the gritty, gritty New York streets
- 51:36Speaker 3: and you know, for guys from England, it captured better
- 51:39Speaker 3: than most of US bands did. Let's go to Harriet
- 51:42Speaker 3: in Brooklyn. Harriet, how you doing?
- 51:44Speaker 13: God bless you? You're a great patriot?
- 51:46Speaker 12: Back you for you service.
- 51:47Speaker 13: God bless Donald Trump?
- 51:49Speaker 6: Barack who thank you for my service?
- 51:52Speaker 13: Yeah, you're you're a patriot. You're a patriot. You're you're
- 51:55Speaker 13: a supporter of Donna J.
- 51:56Speaker 8: Trump?
- 51:56Speaker 3: I love you? What service? Where did I serve?
- 52:00Speaker 13: You're serving the United States of America with your patriotism?
- 52:03Speaker 13: Should you mind our great president? This is important? We
- 52:07Speaker 13: need patriotism. He're like, how we car and you great?
- 52:10Speaker 3: Harriet? We love him, but you're getting a little carried away?
- 52:12Speaker 3: There are you?
- 52:15Speaker 14: There?
- 52:17Speaker 3: Did you go away?
- 52:18Speaker 7: That man?
- 52:20Speaker 13: Danny is an extraordinary talent. Well we have he's the
- 52:26Speaker 13: first Muslim Brotherhood president, a disgrace to the nation.
- 52:30Speaker 3: I don't know. He wasn't born in the country. I
- 52:32Speaker 3: don't think he can be president. He wants to be
- 52:34Speaker 3: governor one day.
- 52:35Speaker 13: But yeah, yeah, yeah, but but Barack Barack Obama is
- 52:39Speaker 13: stating that he's an extraordinary talent.
- 52:42Speaker 8: Man Danny.
- 52:42Speaker 13: You see, that's the damn and the man. Dammy, it's
- 52:45Speaker 13: not Danny. He's creating the city of the damned here.
- 52:48Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, Harriet, Well, great call, thanks for calling.
- 52:51Speaker 3: Let me just explain Obama. He's been gone for a
- 52:53Speaker 3: while under the radar. He was getting paid a fortune
- 52:56Speaker 3: of fortune by Netflix and all this book deal he
- 52:59Speaker 3: was he made himself hundreds of millions of dollars. Well
- 53:02Speaker 3: that kind of all stopped. Now you're all of a
- 53:05Speaker 3: sudden seeing Obama all over the place. The reason for
- 53:07Speaker 3: that is a he wants to be relevant again, but
- 53:11Speaker 3: he also wants to make some more money. So that's
- 53:14Speaker 3: why he's all over Mom Donnie. You know, during the campaign,
- 53:17Speaker 3: Mom Donnie kept calling Obama for support and Obama never
- 53:20Speaker 3: would answer. But now that he's mayor, Obama is all
- 53:25Speaker 3: over him. He's going to be for all the big, big,
- 53:29Speaker 3: big big corporations and may want to hand him millions
- 53:33Speaker 3: of dollars. He's trying to act like he's very connected
- 53:35Speaker 3: to anything he knows so he can get anything done
- 53:37Speaker 3: with Mom Donnie. His guy, David Achlerood was over in
- 53:41Speaker 3: the Vatican meeting with the Pope. That he's signaling all
- 53:43Speaker 3: the big corporations you need anything done, I'm your guy.
- 53:47Speaker 3: That's what Bill Clinton did when he got out of office.
- 53:50Speaker 3: Billionaires corporations would pay Clinton millions and millions and millions
- 53:55Speaker 3: to help them get deals. And if they were having
- 53:58Speaker 3: trouble in India they couldn't get there power plant deal approved,
- 54:03Speaker 3: they'd pay Clinton millions, get on a plane with him,
- 54:05Speaker 3: fly over to India. Because he knew the Prime Minister,
- 54:07Speaker 3: he knew all the people there. He could walk you
- 54:09Speaker 3: right into their office. Let's go to Lenny in Long Island. Lenny,
- 54:12Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 54:14Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm doing good. Mark. Hey, I got a message
- 54:17Speaker 10: for Mick Jagger and Rolling Stones.
- 54:20Speaker 3: Yeah, couple, it's all over now.
- 54:23Speaker 15: Time is not on their side and I get no
- 54:25Speaker 15: satisfaction from that, no.
- 54:26Speaker 3: Single All right, where are you in Long Island?
- 54:29Speaker 10: I'm in Ronkonkoma.
- 54:31Speaker 3: Oh okay, Hey, speaking of Long Island, there's a great restaurant,
- 54:34Speaker 3: Posto Pozzo. I love to eat there. It's in Huntington.
- 54:37Speaker 3: The best pizza anyway, the one of the Joey Patron.
- 54:41Speaker 3: Luigi Patron is the other brother. He's in News Day yesterday.
- 54:46Speaker 3: Apparently Luigi was eating at Peter Luger when a customer
- 54:51Speaker 3: at another table started choking to death. Luigi and his
- 54:55Speaker 3: friend got up and gave the guy the Heimlich Maneuver.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Saved his life. I've had to do that in a restaurant.
- 55:01Speaker 3: Saved somebody's life at the Heimlich maneuver. The place where
- 55:05Speaker 3: the most dangerous is a steakhouse, because when that steak
- 55:08Speaker 3: gets stuck there. But good for him. Let's go to
- 55:12Speaker 3: Greg in New Jersey, Greg, and Jersey City Greg. How
- 55:15Speaker 3: you doing?
- 55:16Speaker 10: They doing good? Mark? Just to correct you, the first
- 55:19Speaker 10: CNM primetime host was His name was Sandy Freeman.
- 55:23Speaker 3: Oh, you're right, you're right, so would I say? I said,
- 55:25Speaker 3: Sonya Friedman.
- 55:26Speaker 10: Yeah, Freedman had a morning show. I'm seeing that. But
- 55:29Speaker 10: Freeman was the first from eighty to eighty five. And
- 55:32Speaker 10: you were right. She did have you know, the contract
- 55:35Speaker 10: was pulled for She got you know, the details where
- 55:38Speaker 10: you know they say they hasn't greased.
- 55:40Speaker 3: Oh, I got the details from Ted Turner himself and
- 55:42Speaker 3: from Larry King. Yeah, he just said, and Larry was
- 55:45Speaker 3: thinking about it. And he said, when would I started.
- 55:48Speaker 3: It was like tomorrow. I got to get this woman
- 55:49Speaker 3: out of here, he said. He actually said I can't
- 55:51Speaker 3: use the language. He said, I want to do it
- 55:54Speaker 3: just to screw that husband completely. So never let your
- 55:58Speaker 3: wife or your husband be or a agent. It never works.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Let's go to Walker in Jersey City. Walker, how you doing.
- 56:05Speaker 16: I'm doing great?
- 56:05Speaker 7: Mark?
- 56:06Speaker 16: Uh, you know I I just was was thinking about
- 56:10Speaker 16: Ted Turner. And when Ted Turner was interviewed in Playboy,
- 56:15Speaker 16: they questioned him because he did not have the coverage
- 56:19Speaker 16: of Reagan being shot. And it was a great response
- 56:22Speaker 16: because Ted Turner said, yeah, we were our crew was
- 56:25Speaker 16: inside covering his speech and that's why we didn't have him.
- 56:29Speaker 16: That's why we didn't. We weren't out there when he
- 56:31Speaker 16: got shot.
- 56:32Speaker 3: And yeah, it was a very primitive network when it started. Hey,
- 56:37Speaker 3: we got to take a break for the news. We'll
- 56:39Speaker 3: take some more calls next and we got a lot
- 56:41Speaker 3: to talk about coming up. Eight hundred three to two,
- 56:44Speaker 3: one zero seven ten is the number one. Welcome back
- 56:48Speaker 3: to the Mark Simone Show.
- 56:51Speaker 9: Tell you a.
- 56:54Speaker 3: Hey, we'll take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred
- 56:57Speaker 3: three to two, one zero seven tenants the number and
- 56:59Speaker 3: cult or not here today, should be back next week.
- 57:02Speaker 3: So you know, Charlie Sheen was a real Hollywood left
- 57:07Speaker 3: wing democrat, super liberal. Charlie Sheen. It's interesting if you
- 57:11Speaker 3: read the book. He just wrote something happened. He was
- 57:15Speaker 3: like stuck in bed or sick. I don't know, he's
- 57:17Speaker 3: like depressed. I know he's like in bed for a week.
- 57:22Speaker 3: And he starts he's just watching TV. He starts watching
- 57:24Speaker 3: Newsmas and being a left wing Hollywood you know fake
- 57:30Speaker 3: news kook. He had never seen like real news before,
- 57:33Speaker 3: like the actual news. He starts watching Fox. He starts
- 57:37Speaker 3: watching Newsmas and he said, Ray says it in the book,
- 57:40Speaker 3: is I realized I wasn't getting the whole story. The
- 57:43Speaker 3: fake news was hiding things from me, not telling me everything.
- 57:46Speaker 3: He said, I really like Newsmax and he said I
- 57:48Speaker 3: just kept watching it and I said, I really was
- 57:52Speaker 3: felt very close to these anchors, you know, the two Robs.
- 57:55Speaker 3: And he said Greg Kelly, I really like Greg Kelly.
- 57:57Speaker 3: And uh so, it is possible to cure a Hollywood
- 58:03Speaker 3: liberal with Trumps arrangement syndrome. It doesn't happen office often,
- 58:06Speaker 3: but you can cure him Hey, Cash Pattel in the
- 58:10Speaker 3: new podcast with Sean Hannity reveals a lot of stuff
- 58:14Speaker 3: our FBI director now that he's in charge, and he
- 58:17Speaker 3: is going through the whole building. As we said yesterday,
- 58:20Speaker 3: he found a secret room where they hid all the
- 58:24Speaker 3: Russia stuff. You know, they created this whole fake Russia hoax,
- 58:27Speaker 3: Russian collusion. It was all made up. It was all fake.
- 58:30Speaker 3: You can see it in a lot of documents. So
- 58:32Speaker 3: apparently they put those documents in burn bags so they
- 58:36Speaker 3: could be destroyed instantly. But they had him in a room,
- 58:39Speaker 3: a secret room that wasn't even on the blueprint of
- 58:41Speaker 3: the building. As FBI director, he kept searching and searching.
- 58:45Speaker 3: He found this room. So you may see some stuff
- 58:48Speaker 3: come out of this. They might start to reveal some
- 58:50Speaker 3: documents showing out. This will be under James Comby's watch,
- 58:56Speaker 3: Christopher Ray, total corruption with this part little part of
- 59:01Speaker 3: the FBI with this Russia hoax. But you might see
- 59:04Speaker 3: this stuff start to come out. Hey, speaking of Trump
- 59:06Speaker 3: derangement syndrome. The Great Hospital in Los Angeles, Cedar Sinai Hospital.
- 59:13Speaker 3: So there's a nurse, male nurse Matthew Schaeffer, who put
- 59:18Speaker 3: up this awful on his Twitter. Awful thing about Trump?
- 59:22Speaker 3: Should have been assassination. Should have been assassinated. How come
- 59:25Speaker 3: the assassin missed again? Why do they keep missing? Who's
- 59:29Speaker 3: hiring these people? Up your game? Let's get better assassins.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Terrible thing to post. Cedar Sinai released a statement social
- 59:38Speaker 3: media postings of individual staff members do not reflect the
- 59:41Speaker 3: views or positions of Cedar's SINEI. I don't know do
- 59:44Speaker 3: you have do you fire the guy because he posted that?
- 59:47Speaker 3: I mean, these are a lot of left wing cooks
- 59:49Speaker 3: that say this stuff. I don't know. Can you fire
- 59:51Speaker 3: him for that? You'd have to fire a lot of people.
- 59:55Speaker 3: You could fire him just for having bad judgment. I mean,
- 59:57Speaker 3: I mean, find if you have Trump arrangement syndrome, but
- 59:59Speaker 3: don't post things like that. Now there's an employee at
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: the FAA Federal Aviation Administration. They just arrested this guy.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: Apparently he was thinking of becoming a presidential assassin. He's
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: thirty five. He was on Google looking up all kinds
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: of things for an assassination attempt. His searches included how
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: to smuggle a firearm into a federal facility. He was
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: studying previous assassination attempts targeting Trump very carefully going on.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: And you know, obviously, if you got arrested, you're the
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Gilgo Beach killer. They're gonna get your computer. They're gonna
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: come in with a warrant, take your computer, and they're
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: going to see what you searched on your computer. But
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: what you may not know. In a lot of cases,
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: they can just go to Google and see who's searching things.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: They don't even have to know who you are. They
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: could go to Google and say, let's see everybody that
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: searched how to make a bomb, and they can track
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: down people that way. So just pare that in mind
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: when you make a Google search it sometimes they're checking
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: those Google searches to see exactly who made them. Let's
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: take some calls. Let's go to Brian Grantwich, Connecticut. Brian,
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: how you doing, Hey, Mark? How are yeah?
- 1:01:16Speaker 15: Great shows?
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: Always thanks.
- 1:01:17Speaker 15: So Mick got a quick Nick Jagger story. I was
- 1:01:21Speaker 15: running catering up at the Waldorf back in the eighties and.
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: Nick was introducing the Beatles.
- 1:01:27Speaker 15: So Ron Delsner, who you know, he goes? He called
- 1:01:30Speaker 15: me kid, he goes, Kid. You gotta go picnic up
- 1:01:33Speaker 15: down by the Bull and Bear. So I said, okay,
- 1:01:35Speaker 15: so go down at picnic up.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: Bull and Bear's the restaurant downstairs in the lobby, Yes.
- 1:01:40Speaker 15: Sir, yep. And so I take them to the room's
- 1:01:43Speaker 15: already sort of full, and I'm in the ballroom elevators
- 1:01:47Speaker 15: and they go really really slow. So I said, hey, Mick,
- 1:01:49Speaker 15: I know you heard a million stories. Going to give
- 1:01:51Speaker 15: you a quick but my grandmother was a chambermaid at
- 1:01:54Speaker 15: the Pierre Hotel and you guys used to stay at
- 1:01:57Speaker 15: the Pierre when you were touring, and she's at at
- 1:02:00Speaker 15: dinner table on Sunday. She always said, you'd leave a
- 1:02:03Speaker 15: five dollars tip on the pillow. And Mick Jaggers sees
- 1:02:06Speaker 15: such a nice young man, as grandma said. So I
- 1:02:08Speaker 15: told him the story and he looks at me. He goes, NT,
- 1:02:10Speaker 15: that's that's that's right, mate, But a great story. So anyway,
- 1:02:14Speaker 15: that's my story that brought him up.
- 1:02:15Speaker 12: To the stage.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: It's an okay story. I think he was being a
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: little nice to you. Show us what a nice guy is.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: He pretended to be thrilled by that story.
- 1:02:24Speaker 15: Yeah, So I want to invite you up to my band,
- 1:02:27Speaker 15: the Band of Brothers Mark playing at.
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: The Cornell You're playing where on Saturday?
- 1:02:32Speaker 15: Up at Cornell University?
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: Oh, where's that in Nishaca? Yeah, they say, yeah, So
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: if anybody wants to drive six hours to see this.
- 1:02:44Speaker 15: It'll be worth the wait.
- 1:02:45Speaker 12: Yeah, at PJ.
- 1:02:47Speaker 15: But I'll send you the video one of these days.
- 1:02:49Speaker 15: We've got a good band, great band, all alumni, guys
- 1:02:52Speaker 15: come all over the Oh that's great.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: Thanks, I really appreciate it, Jess. These bands they're all
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: over the suburbs, every suburban every Thursday night. They banned,
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: they got and they think they're phenomenal. But anyway, let's
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: go to Tim and White Plains. Tim, how you doing.
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: Good?
- 1:03:15Speaker 10: Mark?
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: Just wondering why the president every time it seems that
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: he's doing something that works. The Iranians say they want
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: to negotiate, and then he stops and lets them off
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: the hook, and they keep dragging things on and on
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: and on. They're like the night in the Monty Python
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: movie where can Art their cuts off the right arm,
- 1:03:35Speaker 7: the left arm, the right leg, the left leg, and
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: then the vanquished Night is on the ground with no
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: arms and no legs, and he says, okay, okay, we'll
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: call it a draw.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Well, Yeah, the President does seem to be taking way
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: too I think they're deliberately taking way too long. They're
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: taking as long as they can deliberately because with the
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: straight closed, Iran has no revenue. Their economy is it
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: a complete standstill. Worse than that, it's shut shut down
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: the entire ranging economy. Now, this is two months of
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: the straight close. They're just about out of cash. In fact,
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: some people think they got another week or so and
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: then they can't make payroll. There's already tremendous problems in
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: Iran with no revenue coming in. So the longer we
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: can stretch this out, the better. Hey, Ted Turner, as
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: we mentioned, passed away eighty seven years old. Massive tributes
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: obviously on CNN, but even Fox everybody else. You'll see
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: it throughout the day, tributes to Ted Turner. Remember he
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: has a big ranch in Montana. Spent a lot of
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: time there, massive ranch in Montana where he raised buffalo
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: and he was a big you know how all of
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: a sudden people started eating buffalo, steak and buffalo that
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: was really Ted Turner in the eighties that started pushing that.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: You know, he still has a restaurant. It's right over
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: there is it? Fifty second near Rockefeller Center. Ted Turner's
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: Buffalo restaurant is still there. There are some people that
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: swear by buffalo meat. I've tried it. I would swear
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: at it, not for it. But if you want to
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: try Ted Turnery's restaurant, it's still there. Hey. Speaking of which,
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: Delta Airlines announced no more snacks on the short flights.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: If it's under three hundred and fifty miles, no snacks,
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: and apparently passengers are all up in arms and they said, well,
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: I'm not going to take Delta, We're going to take
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: another airline if it's three hundred and fifty miles. What's that?
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: That's about thirty five minute flight? Forty minute flight? Are
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: you telling me you can't go thirty five minutes without
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: a bag of potato chips? You know, you don't really
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: need that snack cart on the Delta air Lines. But
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: you can bring your own pretzels, you can bring your
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: own potato chips, you can bring your own doritos. You
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: don't have to depend on them if you don't want to.
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: Let's go to Joe in Elmwood Park. Joe, how you doing?
- 1:05:54Speaker 10: Good morning?
- 1:05:55Speaker 12: More, Good morning Vincent not to change gears. When is
- 1:05:58Speaker 12: Nick Shirley going to come to New Jersey?
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: Those things are still with the fraud.
- 1:06:01Speaker 16: Things are still way out of way out of the Yeah.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: Nick Sureley's the young, twenty something, young reporter, brilliant guy
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: who went to Minnesota uncovered billions in fraud that nobody
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: else knew about. He then went to California. He's looking
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: at fraud there. They think the fraud is in the
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: tens of billions. Apparently Ohio is on the list they
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: want to do Ohio. You could do this in every state.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: I don't think New Jersey is just made for fraud.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: I mean it's all fraud. I'm talking about government and
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: government programs and all of that. It's just NonStop fraud.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: That'd be a lot for Nick Surely. You know that's
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: the problem. Actually, President Trump has signed JD. Vance to
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: be the government guy looking into all this fraud, but
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: he should probably team up with Nick Shirley talked to him,
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: so eventually they'll get on it. It's going to take
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: a while, but eventually they'll start to. If he cured
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: all this fraud, government waste, fraud bloat, you'd free up
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: literally two or three trillion dollars that we could have back.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: That's all tax payer money. Your taxes could be cut
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: in half if you got rid of all the waist
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: and fraud. Hey, I'll be on cudload tonight, actually this
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: afternoon four to five on the Fox Business Network, So
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: be sure to watch that. And you know Curtis is back.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: Curtis Lee, what is now back? He's here every weekday.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: Curtis slew Larry Menty six to ten. On seven to ten,
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: WR did Mark on demand by setting a preset for
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: his podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: Now back to Mark Simone on wor.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: Well. Hey, stock market way up today, way up? Oiled
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: down dropping about seven points today? What else is going on?
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: The Republicans had huge victory yesterday Ohio and Indiana primaries.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: There were a whole bunch of seats that Trump really
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: wanted and campaigned for those people, and there was some
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: anti Trump Republicans he wanted out. Well, everybody he backed.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Everybody won yesterday, some of them huge one but fifty percent,
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: so massive victory for the Trump people. He has to say,
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: you won't hear about this anywhere. You remember when the
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: Republicans would lose a seat in Florida. Recently ers front
