- 0:44Speaker 1: are the Avid Endorsement. Hell everyone, Hello, I'm so happy
- 0:50Speaker 1: to be here.
- 0:51Speaker 3: I almost wasn't unless Bugs, if you wouldn't have texted me,
- 0:56Speaker 3: I was a little whatever reason forgot and I.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Was getting ready to put my son down to bed
- 1:06Speaker 1: and he saw my phone. He's like, you got something,
- 1:10Speaker 1: and it was like text message between Bugs and our guest.
- 1:14Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, your mom has to put
- 1:18Speaker 1: you down. You see you later, poor buddy. So not bright.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Honestly, my first thought was, you know, because I think
- 1:27Speaker 4: you're playing with fire every time you're like laying there,
- 1:31Speaker 4: probably sleepy.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I was like, maybe with it there, but yeah, get
- 1:36Speaker 1: anywhere near that.
- 1:37Speaker 4: I should have figured that because you know, it's summer
- 1:40Speaker 4: and they're getting older.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Like, I get it. The biggest thing was just that
- 1:45Speaker 1: was gone for this last week. Came in today and
- 1:51Speaker 1: we immediately went and did stuff in the ground running. Yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 1: but dude, this week was cool. I went and I
- 1:59Speaker 1: have now sung on the Opry stage twenty five times.
- 2:02Speaker 4: I saw that.
- 2:03Speaker 1: That's crazy, dude. I didn't know that. They said it
- 2:06Speaker 1: before we went on stage, and I was like, I what,
- 2:10Speaker 1: twenty five that's so cool?
- 2:12Speaker 4: So what point do you get because they like invite
- 2:15Speaker 4: people to be a part of that and whatever.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Right, A lot that way more than twenty five. I
- 2:20Speaker 1: just have no idea, Like, Okay, well yeah, I mean
- 2:23Speaker 1: so many of those folks live in town and they'll
- 2:25Speaker 1: seriously just go down every week while they're like really
- 2:28Speaker 1: on tour. Yeah, a lot of those folks.
- 2:31Speaker 4: I guess that makes sense.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Why not really, because I mean, do they do like
- 2:35Speaker 1: five shows a week or so? True?
- 2:37Speaker 4: True, it's crazy. I really got to get down there
- 2:39Speaker 4: and see you guys do that do the best.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Scene Bestina had so many friends come down. I've read
- 2:46Speaker 1: the Opry and I was like, I think I've had
- 2:49Speaker 1: my folks and like.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I don't know why I need to make that like
- 2:54Speaker 4: a thing.
- 2:56Speaker 1: It's cool. It's a cool vibe, man, And you get
- 2:58Speaker 1: to like be backstay, you get to see the other folks.
- 3:02Speaker 1: You should definitely come.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Down sometimes we'll make that happen for sure.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah, sure you been what what did you? What have
- 3:07Speaker 1: you been doing the last week?
- 3:09Speaker 4: I bought myself a camera for my birthday?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Did you ever? Bukes just shared some of those photos
- 3:16Speaker 1: with our patrons. You can go to patreon dot com
- 3:19Speaker 1: slash the Avidendoor's gonna check my out. Great blook, really
- 3:23Speaker 1: beautiful pictures, buddy.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Thanks man, I went. I just kind of have been
- 3:27Speaker 4: fusing around with it. I don't really know what I'm
- 3:29Speaker 4: doing yet, but I'm having a nice time.
- 3:31Speaker 1: So you got pretty artsy with it. I mean that
- 3:35Speaker 1: lens test to be insane. You were like I could. Yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 1: the flowers were just like unbelievable. I really like.
- 3:42Speaker 4: The Macro stuff. And then I just bought like a
- 3:45Speaker 4: kit thing and it comes with a Macro lens, and
- 3:48Speaker 4: I do really like that. And I went at like
- 3:50Speaker 4: sun up one day, so I got like the Dobie
- 3:54Speaker 4: grass and things, so it's.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It was fun. It's been fun. It's cool.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Yeah, So hopefully I'll learn more and get to take
- 4:01Speaker 4: cool pictures. But I'm going on a couple fun trips
- 4:04Speaker 4: coming up.
- 4:05Speaker 1: So I was like, I.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Should really have like a good camera because I did
- 4:09Speaker 4: that when I went to Iceland and liked it.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So I was like, yeah, that's be great. So yeah,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm excited. It'll be fun, super fun. Yeah, that's all
- 4:17Speaker 1: I've been doing. Well, have you been watching any movies?
- 4:22Speaker 1: We've done this a lot, Hey bugs, you go first,
- 4:25Speaker 1: what was the last movie you watch?
- 4:26Speaker 4: This very day, I watched a movie that is pertinent
- 4:29Speaker 4: to the film we're about to discuss today, because I
- 4:32Speaker 4: had never seen the Fantastic Four movie from two thousand
- 4:36Speaker 4: and five.
- 4:38Speaker 1: So is that the Chris Evens that's the.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Chris Evens one. Yeah, so I went to watch that.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I feel like people say this wasn't very good. I
- 4:47Speaker 1: thought it was pretty good.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Yeah, Jessica album, Michael Chickliss was Chi says the thing, Yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 4: and then you do.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I don't know how you say that.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Guy as Reid Richard's I thought they all did a
- 5:05Speaker 4: pretty good job. It's just it's just a lot of
- 5:08Speaker 4: stuff to try and fit in one movie. I mean, honestly,
- 5:11Speaker 4: because they didn't into it. I did see it, yeah,
- 5:14Speaker 4: and I get I get why people weren't like in
- 5:17Speaker 4: love with it, but I sort of thought it was
- 5:19Speaker 4: going to be bad, bad, and it was just like, oh, okay, whatever, right.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Didn't they do another one too, like the Cycle b Jordan? No, No, no,
- 5:31Speaker 1: with that same cast. Didn't they do a.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Fantastic Rise of Silver Surfer?
- 5:36Speaker 1: Maybe? I think that's what it was, So I'll have
- 5:39Speaker 1: to watch that next Sorry.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Yeah, no, it's fine that honestly that I just had
- 5:45Speaker 4: never seen it and wanted to. And they're all on
- 5:48Speaker 4: Disney now Disney plus because of things we'll talk about
- 5:53Speaker 4: soon with this movie.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Yes, So yeah, it was fun and really fun to see.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I thought Chris.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Evans was like a standout in that he's super good
- 6:03Speaker 4: at playing that like cocky character.
- 6:05Speaker 1: It's really fun. He's a good actor, man. Yeah, he's
- 6:08Speaker 1: really great. I like him a lot.
- 6:09Speaker 4: So, yeah, that's what I watched. How about you, what's
- 6:12Speaker 4: the most recent movie you've seen.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I also saw a movie this very day while I
- 6:17Speaker 1: was flying home from Connecticut. Yeah, on the plane. They
- 6:24Speaker 1: were they had Challengers on the flight. Oh how was it? Challengers?
- 6:32Speaker 1: So for the people who don't know, that was the
- 6:35Speaker 1: Zendaya tennis movie and the two guys kind of fighting
- 6:41Speaker 1: for her affection, Mike Faced and Josh O'Connor. I definitely
- 6:45Speaker 1: recognized Josh O'Connor if you watched The Queen Yes on Netflix.
- 6:52Speaker 1: He was younger Prince Charles.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:58Speaker 1: But yeah, so this the acting is great, cinematography is
- 7:05Speaker 1: really cool, Like they did some really cool shots. There's
- 7:09Speaker 1: a butt coming here. Trent Resner did the music so
- 7:13Speaker 1: very cool music. Love that this story did nothing for me.
- 7:20Speaker 1: The plot just didn't do a lot. Was it just
- 7:23Speaker 1: a bummer or was it just like it's not I
- 7:26Speaker 1: just don't care. I just didn't really care. Like it's
- 7:31Speaker 1: a it's a lot of they meet her at the
- 7:35Speaker 1: same time and they both really like her, and it's
- 7:40Speaker 1: it's their kind of weird love triangle. And I was
- 7:45Speaker 1: a little nervous watching it on a plane because I
- 7:47Speaker 1: didn't know like how grast it was gonna get. It
- 7:50Speaker 1: really doesn't. It does like there's a lot of making out,
- 7:54Speaker 1: but it's not like way over the top or two
- 7:57Speaker 1: it is because.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Like the trailer looked like they were straight up having
- 8:00Speaker 4: a threesome at various points things.
- 8:03Speaker 1: And so yeah, it was I was. It was a
- 8:06Speaker 1: little riscade to even put it on, but but that yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 1: I didn't have to worry about it. But I just
- 8:13Speaker 1: I really didn't. I didn't care for that story at all.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I definitely was like, I don't know, I don't
- 8:20Speaker 4: really want to see this for some reason.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I don't know why. Honestly, that's probably how you feel.
- 8:25Speaker 1: But they all really acted well, like that's all three
- 8:31Speaker 1: of them were great. I just didn't care what they
- 8:35Speaker 1: were acting about.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fair. You know, it could be worth checking
- 8:39Speaker 4: out some day that.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I'm definitely in the minority. Though. It's getting really well
- 8:42Speaker 1: good reviews and yeah, some people might really really like it.
- 8:47Speaker 1: That's cool. Nice. Yeah, have you been streaming anything fun?
- 8:52Speaker 4: I've just been streaming sport, watching the Olympics as well.
- 8:56Speaker 4: I think we might have mentioned this already on a
- 8:57Speaker 4: different idea. Yeah, it's honestly, I've been watching so I
- 9:01Speaker 4: kind of had to so fun, dude, So it's just
- 9:03Speaker 4: super super great. I watched the women's vault final yesterday,
- 9:07Speaker 4: which was insane yep, and then the men's vault final
- 9:11Speaker 4: today and also insane. Simone Biles is like crazy.
- 9:16Speaker 1: She's just she's crazy.
- 9:18Speaker 4: She's wildly good. I saw Sunny Lee.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Our very own Minnesota's own. I believe she got silver,
- 9:25Speaker 1: yea bronze actually.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Oh it was bronze, that's right. But she was super happy.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I didn't know any of the like she had had
- 9:32Speaker 4: kidney problems and all that stuff between last Olympics and
- 9:35Speaker 4: this Olympics.
- 9:36Speaker 1: She didn't think she was going to be coming back.
- 9:38Speaker 1: So nuts, man, Well, most of those gymnasts don't come back, and.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I knew that, you know, like they have a pretty
- 9:46Speaker 4: short lifespan for the sport, not in general as far
- 9:50Speaker 4: as I know, but but yeah, like she gained like
- 9:53Speaker 4: fifty pounds or sixty pounds just in presumably waterweight because
- 9:59Speaker 4: it's like a kidney thing, you know. And and it
- 10:03Speaker 4: sounded like within the last year lost that got everything
- 10:06Speaker 4: sorted out and his back, So that's impressive as hell.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Definitely back.
- 10:11Speaker 4: And so I'm just like, oh, man, I mean, any
- 10:13Speaker 4: metal at the Olympics is amazing as far as I'm concerned. Hell,
- 10:17Speaker 4: even getting there is amazing.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Well, there's just not very many that come back and
- 10:22Speaker 1: do it again, but even more don't metal at all?
- 10:26Speaker 1: Like a so, but yeah, it's a big deal.
- 10:30Speaker 4: I've been having tons of fun. I've been watching the
- 10:31Speaker 4: basketball team and you know where it's killed it against
- 10:38Speaker 4: Puerto Rico.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Is that who they played last? I think so they'll play.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I think they're playing Brazil next. In the Metal we're
- 10:46Speaker 4: in the medal round now, so that'll be fun. And yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 4: I just I just like it. I like watching random stuff.
- 10:52Speaker 4: I think I'm like most people.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I feel like for sure, I was watching a lot
- 10:57Speaker 1: of the running today, my flight home running, and then
- 11:02Speaker 1: that Noah Lyles ended up getting the gold tonight.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but was it like a photo finish or something
- 11:07Speaker 4: like that?
- 11:08Speaker 1: And so it's not because the Jamaican guy was supposed
- 11:14Speaker 1: to like he was the favorite and his foot was
- 11:17Speaker 1: over first, but apparently it's torso oh I didn't and
- 11:21Speaker 1: so like that they lean like that and he didn't lean,
- 11:27Speaker 1: so he didn't win. Oh that's frustrating. Yeah, well not
- 11:31Speaker 1: for us, we got gold. True, that's great. True? True?
- 11:33Speaker 4: Thanks, what's fun? Is that what you were going to say?
- 11:36Speaker 1: For streaming or it was not? No? I I went
- 11:39Speaker 1: to Max, so I I listened to a podcast with
- 11:43Speaker 1: Michael Keaton, uh, and I'm pretty sure it was SmartLess
- 11:45Speaker 1: and I heard him talk about a movie he produced,
- 11:48Speaker 1: start in and directed, All Knox Goes Away. Yeah, went
- 11:54Speaker 1: straight to Max. I thought it was kind of awesome.
- 11:58Speaker 1: It's a really compelling plot line. It's about a hit
- 12:02Speaker 1: man who gets diagnosed with an aggressive kind of Alzheimer's
- 12:07Speaker 1: that happens like really fast, and he has this mishap happened,
- 12:15Speaker 1: and he needs to set up a pretty elaborate plan,
- 12:17Speaker 1: but all the while is slowly forgetting everything.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Wow, that's scary, and it's scary compelling. Yes, that's cool.
- 12:27Speaker 1: And the supporting cast he went and got, he got
- 12:31Speaker 1: Al Pacino, James Marsden, Marcia Gay Harden. It was. It
- 12:38Speaker 1: was pretty great. I will say it's a little slower
- 12:41Speaker 1: paced then maybe some things that were used to but like,
- 12:46Speaker 1: because I was so into that plot line, I was
- 12:50Speaker 1: invested the whole time. And Michael Keaton did a really
- 12:53Speaker 1: great job. Man, He's he's really great, big correct. Before
- 12:59Speaker 1: he had directed one other movie that I hadn't heard of,
- 13:02Speaker 1: called The Merry Gentleman. Oh okay, back in there was
- 13:07Speaker 1: probably like fifteen years ago. Or something. Well cool man.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I've almost watched that a couple times because I've
- 13:12Speaker 4: been like that looks kind of interesting.
- 13:14Speaker 1: But it is interesting. It's worth, it's worth. I'll love
- 13:16Speaker 1: to check it out. Now. That's cool.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Yeah, well very cool. Do you think we should for
- 13:20Speaker 4: you a plug? Aronnes?
- 13:22Speaker 1: Yes? All right.

- 14:11Speaker 1: we put out. We'll do a top five draft that
- 14:13Speaker 1: pertains to the movie we're talking about, and for this one,
- 14:16Speaker 1: we're doing our top five favorite cameos from Deadpool and Wolverine.
- 14:22Speaker 1: That's right, it's goodna be so many cameos, you guys.
- 14:26Speaker 4: It's a billion, So this is a good one. I
- 14:29Speaker 4: don't think we'll ever be like, oh, we already did
- 14:31Speaker 4: Deadpool and.
- 14:32Speaker 1: We'll turn it, oh Man.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Hyper specific, So that will be fun. And I think
- 14:39Speaker 4: we should just get right into it, Rob, And we
- 14:42Speaker 4: you know, we're doing a Marvel movie. We had to
- 14:45Speaker 4: get our Marvel buddy back here.
- 14:48Speaker 1: He's marvelous. He's just the most lovely variant we have
- 14:52Speaker 1: of him. Welcoming back.
- 14:54Speaker 4: It's Riley's Ember.
- 14:57Speaker 1: What's up, Riley?
- 14:58Speaker 5: Hello my friends again.
- 15:01Speaker 1: It's great. Oh yeah, I'm so excited.
- 15:04Speaker 5: How are you just just dandy guys, just been trying
- 15:09Speaker 5: to get some work done. Summers are hard, Rob, I
- 15:12Speaker 5: don't know if it's the same for you. Summers are
- 15:14Speaker 5: so hard to be productive.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Kids and everything.
- 15:18Speaker 5: They're always here all the time.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And they never leave. They don't go here, and it's busy.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 15:27Speaker 5: I don't know, but we're hanging on. We're hanging on.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I love that. That's great.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Uh, you guys do have a sweet new song coming
- 15:35Speaker 4: out called Wicked Women, right, it's the end of August.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Here, it's it's a spicy song. If I may, it's
- 15:41Speaker 5: it's it's got some cool power behind. I mean it's
- 15:44Speaker 5: a very like, uh, female empowerment's not the right female
- 15:49Speaker 5: power song, you know what I mean. It's rad. I'm
- 15:52Speaker 5: really excited, oh for sure, but like feisty power. It's awesome.
- 15:59Speaker 5: We have like probably eight different gals that we know
- 16:04Speaker 5: are singing with Ken's on some parts very cool, some
- 16:07Speaker 5: some like super cool, haunting cool stuff. It's it's like
- 16:10Speaker 5: folk rock kind of cool stuff. So I like that
- 16:14Speaker 5: with a really rad lyric video. It's animated from this
- 16:18Speaker 5: guy who's we worked with a couple of times, so
- 16:20Speaker 5: it's a it's a fun project. And finally moving towards
- 16:24Speaker 5: the second full original EP that we've teased about nine
- 16:27Speaker 5: times over the last five years.
- 16:28Speaker 1: So I love that.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Well, there can't be a timeframe for these sorts of
- 16:32Speaker 4: things because it's a paradox party.
- 16:34Speaker 5: You can't rush creativity my man.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean that's what I hear. I don't really
- 16:38Speaker 4: do that, so I don't know. Mine's always rushed.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Is always never.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Paradox in and of itself right there?
- 16:48Speaker 4: Oh indeed, indeed, Well that's lovely. Go to hound Fox
- 16:51Speaker 4: music dot com do it right now and check all
- 16:54Speaker 4: that out. And that August thirtieth.
- 16:57Speaker 5: August thirtieth, I really leave is Yeah, but the end
- 17:00Speaker 5: end of August release, so.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Which I believe is next week.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Pre save it your time.
- 17:05Speaker 5: If you haven't pre saved it and you're listening, go
- 17:07Speaker 5: pre save it on right now.
- 17:11Speaker 4: That must be a big deal. Everybody wants to do that.
- 17:13Speaker 5: What it does It gives you a big, a big
- 17:15Speaker 5: like initial bam on streams because it sends it to
- 17:19Speaker 5: their like inboxes kind of and then they.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Gats the algorithm helps makes you happy, exactly, love it,
- 17:25Speaker 4: love it.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I love that.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Go do that right now and every device you've ever owned.
- 17:32Speaker 4: But yeah, well great, Well, speaking of a movie that
- 17:35Speaker 4: has just blown up the algorithms of basically.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Everything in the whole wide world, we're.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Here to talk about Deadpool and Wolverine, and I'm very excited.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Uh oh yeah, every time, every time.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Let's forget every single time like what happened?
- 17:53Speaker 5: Okay, dude, that freaked me out.
- 17:57Speaker 4: I know it's trippy every time that was. Yes, you
- 18:02Speaker 4: want to see.
- 18:03Speaker 1: A lot of visual gags over here, podcast.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Wow, fireworks, fireworks show.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Dang, that's amazing.
- 18:12Speaker 5: Guys.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I think you should continue taking it. Well,
- 18:18Speaker 1: you get to start it with just a roughs n upsy.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I would love to. Okay. Deadpool's peaceful existence comes crashing
- 18:26Speaker 1: down when the time Variance Authority recruits him to help
- 18:29Speaker 1: safeguard the multiverse. He soon unites with his would be
- 18:33Speaker 1: pal Wolverine to complete the mission and save his world
- 18:38Speaker 1: from an existential threat. Nice short, sweet lovely.
- 18:45Speaker 5: It tells so much about the plot without telling really anything.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Anything about that. It's pretty nice at all.
- 18:51Speaker 5: I love that.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's interesting. Let's go to Rotten to Models and
- 18:54Speaker 4: hear what critics have to say. They haven't coming in
- 18:56Speaker 4: at a fairly good seventy eight percent. Okay, that's pretty good.
- 19:01Speaker 1: That went down from when I was looking at it. Okay,
- 19:04Speaker 1: it did.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I looked at someone had low blood sugar right.
- 19:10Speaker 5: Right after right after opening night. I feel like it
- 19:12Speaker 5: was lower than that, and it's since bumped up. I
- 19:15Speaker 5: feel like some of the like initial critics you know
- 19:19Speaker 5: that watch it, are a little harsher, and then some
- 19:21Speaker 5: of the like better reviews trickle in and help boost
- 19:24Speaker 5: that critical score there.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Well, and it's kind of in vogue to like hate
- 19:27Speaker 1: on MCU right now a.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Little bit, yeah, which I get.
- 19:31Speaker 4: There had a lot of audience members, though, felt very
- 19:35Speaker 4: strongly about this. They have it at ninety six percent
- 19:38Speaker 4: games Oh.
- 19:38Speaker 5: Yeah wow, oh yeah, that is high high.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Yeah, do we understand?
- 19:45Speaker 1: Do we disagree? It's time for us to find out.
- 19:47Speaker 1: It's done for our hot hot take out.
- 19:50Speaker 5: Oh oh that's a hot take.
- 19:56Speaker 4: That's a hot take, Adam Mantium take. It's not hot,
- 20:00Speaker 4: it's hard.
- 20:02Speaker 5: I think it's molden when it goes into his body.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Though, well, that's true, that's true. Like that all right,
- 20:07Speaker 4: we'll take it. Let's let's count that as a win.
- 20:10Speaker 4: I will go first. I am absolutely with audience members
- 20:14Speaker 4: on this. I really really enjoyed this movie. Full disclosure.
- 20:18Speaker 4: I'm probably gonna talk about it too much. I have
- 20:20Speaker 4: seen it now three times. WHOA I really wanted to
- 20:24Speaker 4: get into it.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Yes you did.
- 20:27Speaker 4: It's a stupid amount of times it just kept happening
- 20:30Speaker 4: and it was hot, and they.
- 20:32Speaker 1: It was hot.
- 20:33Speaker 5: Well.
- 20:34Speaker 4: The one time, full disclosure, the one time it was
- 20:37Speaker 4: my birthday recently and I had a free large popcorn
- 20:42Speaker 4: and large drink that we're expiring at the end of
- 20:45Speaker 4: the month, and I was like, I'm too cheap to
- 20:47Speaker 4: let that happen, so I will be going to see
- 20:50Speaker 4: it again. You had to use that, Yeah, I did,
- 20:52Speaker 4: and I had a lovely sprite with lemonade, Oh.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Delicious fun combos.
- 20:57Speaker 4: It was very nice to anyway, this movie. I liked
- 21:02Speaker 4: it a whole bunch. I had a great time. This
- 21:04Speaker 4: is like fan service to the Max. I will say
- 21:09Speaker 4: my one of my biggest takeaways from this movie was
- 21:12Speaker 4: I sort of thought, the way that it was being
- 21:14Speaker 4: pitched the way that Deadpool is, that this was going
- 21:18Speaker 4: to be like a middle finger to the Fox universe
- 21:21Speaker 4: and all those previous movies, And what it ended up
- 21:24Speaker 4: being was something I loved so much better. It felt
- 21:27Speaker 4: like a big, like lovely love letter to all things
- 21:31Speaker 4: that were Fox, to the journey that we've come on.
- 21:34Speaker 4: I saw someone on the internet, and I'm sorry I
- 21:36Speaker 4: can't quote them, but they they said it was like
- 21:40Speaker 4: they really understood that Fox had to walk so that
- 21:43Speaker 4: Marvel could run eventually, and all these things right, and
- 21:46Speaker 4: they really embraced that legacy and also like playful noogies
- 21:51Speaker 4: when like things didn't.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Work or characters that didn't work.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Movies that didn't work, but they it was such a
- 21:59Speaker 4: loving embrace of that world and more of a send
- 22:02Speaker 4: off to that world than it was like going into
- 22:05Speaker 4: this new, this new phase with it being everything being
- 22:08Speaker 4: in the MCU. I really really liked that and it
- 22:12Speaker 4: I don't know, I just love that we got to
- 22:13Speaker 4: look back, that we got to just like give people
- 22:16Speaker 4: their flowers, enjoy things even you know, it felt like
- 22:20Speaker 4: it kind of felt like telling old stories with friends
- 22:22Speaker 4: where he'd be like, you know, you always talk about
- 22:24Speaker 4: the times when something terrible happened, you know, when I
- 22:27Speaker 4: sang for Marvin Hamlish and I sucked. Like we talk
- 22:29Speaker 4: about that all the time, right, Like we talk about
- 22:31Speaker 4: the long road trips where you know, your tire went
- 22:34Speaker 4: flat or whatever. Right, So that's what we're doing in
- 22:36Speaker 4: this movie. We talked about electro, We talked about you know,
- 22:39Speaker 4: all these different movies that didn't work.
- 22:42Speaker 1: As well as they should have.
- 22:43Speaker 4: But we still loved them as a whole, and I
- 22:45Speaker 4: really really liked that a ton and I thought it
- 22:50Speaker 4: was really interesting, like they got pretty meta. I don't
- 22:53Speaker 4: know how much they meant to get into these things,
- 22:55Speaker 4: but the overall meta conversation of like, we restored the
- 22:59Speaker 4: timeline by combining matter with antimatter, and in that moment,
- 23:04Speaker 4: Deadpool all he wanted was to matter, so he had
- 23:07Speaker 4: to embrace antimatter. All that Wolverine wanted was to just
- 23:12Speaker 4: be able to move on and have this be done,
- 23:14Speaker 4: but he had to admit that he mattered. And I
- 23:16Speaker 4: thought that was really beautiful and such a nice coupling
- 23:20Speaker 4: of what Deadpool is where it's like, hey, these things
- 23:23Speaker 4: do matter, and we can love and cherish these characters,
- 23:26Speaker 4: and also we can say language once in a while
- 23:29Speaker 4: and we don't have to be so precious about it.
- 23:31Speaker 4: So maybe that's like the future of the MCU coming in,
- 23:34Speaker 4: where it's like, yes, we're gonna take this seriously in
- 23:37Speaker 4: that we're going to tell these stories in grand arcs
- 23:40Speaker 4: in cool ways, but also we're going to have a
- 23:43Speaker 4: good time doing it and not worry about the machinery
- 23:46Speaker 4: so much. And I liked that a ton Now full disclosure,
- 23:49Speaker 4: there are parts of this movie that still don't really
- 23:52Speaker 4: work for me, Like the TVA stuff felt really weird.
- 23:56Speaker 4: I think it's just an homage to how corporations can
- 23:59Speaker 4: really with like, you know, movies and art projects and
- 24:03Speaker 4: things like that. And it's fine, you know, we're mostly
- 24:07Speaker 4: there just for the cameos and for the good vibes and.
- 24:10Speaker 1: For going forward.
- 24:12Speaker 4: And I loved the anchor being part, where you know,
- 24:16Speaker 4: if an anchor being goes away, the timeline starts to
- 24:19Speaker 4: go in on itself. And all I could think about
- 24:22Speaker 4: was was our guy Kang just like totally fumbling the
- 24:27Speaker 4: bag right by being a jerk and nobody knows what's
- 24:31Speaker 4: gonna happen because this was the plan. And then I
- 24:32Speaker 4: don't know if everyone saw it, but Robert Downey Junior
- 24:36Speaker 4: is coming back to play Doom and it just made
- 24:39Speaker 4: me think like, oh, maybe we can replace these characters
- 24:43Speaker 4: and we can start rebuilding the timeline. And I couldn't
- 24:46Speaker 4: help being like, is that what they're trying to say?
- 24:49Speaker 4: Like a little bit at least that's super interesting. But anyway, overall,
- 24:53Speaker 4: I think the soundtrack is amazing. I think the acting
- 24:56Speaker 4: was great. The camaraderie between all these actors was super fun.
- 25:00Speaker 4: It was great to get to see people be celebrated
- 25:04Speaker 4: for stuff maybe that they were probably really proud of,
- 25:07Speaker 4: but just wasn't you know, accepted maybe by the public
- 25:10Speaker 4: in such ways. And overall, I just I super super
- 25:15Speaker 4: loved it and I had a great time. I think
- 25:17Speaker 4: that's my honesty.
- 25:18Speaker 1: That's a hot take, bro, Sorry, way too long, not
- 25:22Speaker 1: at all, not even a little.
- 25:24Speaker 5: This is quite the movie I talk about, so sure
- 25:26Speaker 5: is it?
- 25:27Speaker 1: Sure is? I also thought this was such a fun movie.
- 25:30Speaker 1: This is hilarious. It's one of my favorite Marvel film
- 25:35Speaker 1: experiences I've had in a very long time. It's currently
- 25:39Speaker 1: number two thirty on the IMDb Top two fifty. Wow. Yeah.
- 25:46Speaker 1: It's directed by Sean Levy, who has previously worked with
- 25:50Speaker 1: Ryan Reynolds on The Adam Project and Free Guy, and
- 25:53Speaker 1: he also worked with Hugh Jackman on Real Steel and
- 25:58Speaker 1: His Bunch of He's done a bunch of other things
- 26:00Speaker 1: as well. I think he did The Night at the
- 26:02Speaker 1: Museum franchise. But but yeah, very very talented guy. There's
- 26:07Speaker 1: a ton of writing credits with Ryan Reynolds and Sean
- 26:10Speaker 1: Levy included. There were just so many jokes one after
- 26:16Speaker 1: the other. I felt like I missed some because I
- 26:19Speaker 1: was like laughing over some and I did not go
- 26:23Speaker 1: three times. I've gone just the one time, so I
- 26:27Speaker 1: know I missed some. I just love all of the
- 26:32Speaker 1: Fourth Wall stuff that they do and commenting about Fox
- 26:36Speaker 1: and Disney and Marvel and the politics of it. It's
- 26:39Speaker 1: just so clever, it's so quick. I thought that it
- 26:43Speaker 1: was shot really cool. Yeah, guy named George Richmond. He
- 26:48Speaker 1: also did Free Guy and he did Kingsmen as well,
- 26:52Speaker 1: which I thought was.
- 26:54Speaker 4: Shot in a very ton of sense.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I was.
- 27:00Speaker 5: Like, something about this is like, from a filmography standpoint,
- 27:05Speaker 5: more like a higher caliber than the previous movie. It's
- 27:08Speaker 5: like it stepped it up. That's awesome for sure.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought he killed it. I agree with you.
- 27:13Speaker 1: The soundtrack was so great, starting off with and sync
- 27:17Speaker 1: in that amazing intro. He had Avril Levine and Huey
- 27:23Speaker 1: Lewis and the Goo Goo Dolls and Green Day and Madonna.
- 27:27Speaker 4: My favorite song in there, which.
- 27:29Speaker 1: One the Grease Grease. I really loved that they did
- 27:34Speaker 1: the Greatest show from the Greatest Showman because I mean
- 27:37Speaker 1: that's just incredible, perfect, perfect. But yeah, this movie was
- 27:42Speaker 1: too much fun. I'll let Riley get more in depth here,
- 27:44Speaker 1: but I really, really, really really enjoyed it. I guess
- 27:48Speaker 1: my hottest take. Oh yes, not nearly enough scenes with
- 27:53Speaker 1: Marina Backron. I really did it, Like I missed that
- 27:56Speaker 1: a ton. I'm agree you. That was like it was
- 27:59Speaker 1: like this love story, this whole thing, like I did
- 28:02Speaker 1: it for you. It's just like it felt a little
- 28:05Speaker 1: hollow because she really wasn't in it.
- 28:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree. That was a strange to pull back
- 28:11Speaker 5: on their love story when it was so integral to
- 28:13Speaker 5: the first two movies and the whole like funny and
- 28:18Speaker 5: like scene in Deadpool two where he's going back and
- 28:22Speaker 5: like like almost like a tease to what he kind
- 28:24Speaker 5: of does in this movie where he's going like correcting
- 28:27Speaker 5: these like mistakes in the past to save her life
- 28:30Speaker 5: with I think it's Cable's device that he steals or whatever,
- 28:33Speaker 5: and then they just yeah, it's just like they eight
- 28:35Speaker 5: years later or whatever it is, they've broken up and
- 28:37Speaker 5: things are you know, Dicey, It's it's interesting.
- 28:41Speaker 4: We got to stop doing big like seismic character events
- 28:46Speaker 4: in their lives off screen.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Because it just doesn't it doesn't work. As well, I
- 28:50Speaker 1: don't think.
- 28:51Speaker 4: I mean, there's probably exceptions where it does, but and
- 28:55Speaker 4: I guess they had their scene in it, but we
- 28:57Speaker 4: only saw like the sort of bastardized version when.
- 28:59Speaker 5: She very brief, you know, very brief.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I just I'm with you on that.
- 29:04Speaker 1: That did seem weird. That's a cool that's a good
- 29:06Speaker 1: call for.
- 29:06Speaker 4: Sure, my turn.
- 29:09Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, Well be careful what you wish for with
- 29:13Speaker 5: me going into depth there, This is a lot to say. Yeah, dude,
- 29:17Speaker 5: this movie was an absolute delight. I expected what I
- 29:23Speaker 5: ended up watching, but I didn't prepare myself for how
- 29:28Speaker 5: much fun it would be. You know. I was like,
- 29:29Speaker 5: like you said, Rob, I'm like, this is gonna be
- 29:32Speaker 5: a hard script to follow. It's gonna be joke after joke.
- 29:34Speaker 5: That's just that's a given, right. But then to the
- 29:37Speaker 5: degree they took that and how they wove in such
- 29:40Speaker 5: a massive like idea with all these characters, so many cameos,
- 29:45Speaker 5: so many references, I was like, I knew what I
- 29:48Speaker 5: was getting myself into, and might I also say, really fast,
- 29:51Speaker 5: This was the first movie that Ken's and I went
- 29:54Speaker 5: to go see since Cyprus was born. Love that and
- 29:58Speaker 5: just before he was born. I think think the last
- 30:00Speaker 5: movie we saw was also a Marvel movie, so, you know,
- 30:03Speaker 5: just to put that out there, we went to go
- 30:05Speaker 5: see it together. She loved it as well. And yeah,
- 30:09Speaker 5: I mean so, I think this movie kicked ass at
- 30:15Speaker 5: what it was trying to do at its core, which
- 30:18Speaker 5: was simultaneously bridging Deadpool over into the MCU and putting
- 30:24Speaker 5: him forth as an opportunity to have him in the
- 30:27Speaker 5: MCU like proper storyline somehow, you know. And as like
- 30:31Speaker 5: you said, Bug's a what was a surprising and touching
- 30:35Speaker 5: like Goodbye Swang Swan song sort of vibe for the
- 30:39Speaker 5: Fox movies that were like what twenty five years since,
- 30:45Speaker 5: like Blade one. It's insane how long Fox had been
- 30:49Speaker 5: making movies, yeah, from these Marvel characters, but not in
- 30:52Speaker 5: this connected way. And this got to connect all that
- 30:55Speaker 5: together in such a fun way. And if you're not
- 30:59Speaker 5: somebody who spent the last twenty five years consuming those.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Movies from thought, I did think about that, it.
- 31:06Speaker 5: Was a good chance that you left that movie confused
- 31:08Speaker 5: as hell and like very overwhelmed, you know, at just
- 31:13Speaker 5: the constant referencing, because you either have to be you
- 31:17Speaker 5: have to love both current Marvel and like the raunchiness
- 31:20Speaker 5: of Deadpool and then understand like totally umpteen million friggin
- 31:25Speaker 5: references throughout the whole thing. But for me, it was
- 31:29Speaker 5: an absolute blast beginning to end. I'm a total massive
- 31:34Speaker 5: fan of the Fourth Wall. Stuff that gets on some
- 31:37Speaker 5: people's nerves. I love it. It's so funny because it's
- 31:40Speaker 5: so fresh in the sense of a superhero context like that,
- 31:44Speaker 5: and especially such a raunchy, nasty guy like Wade slash Deadpool,
- 31:51Speaker 5: Like I really enjoyed Chi Hulk for that same reason.
- 31:53Speaker 5: You know, people had their gripes with that. I had
- 31:55Speaker 5: a lot of fun with that show. I thought it
- 31:56Speaker 5: was pretty pretty fun, and it had a similar metaphor
- 32:00Speaker 5: Wall tactic that she has uh that Deadpool also has,
- 32:05Speaker 5: and so I love that stuff. I enjoyed the connection
- 32:09Speaker 5: to the TVA. I thought it was a smart choice
- 32:11Speaker 5: because in my brain, there's two mechanisms that you can
- 32:15Speaker 5: connect a character like Deadpool to the tow MCU like proper,
- 32:20Speaker 5: and that's either the Quantum Realm, which we've seen done
- 32:24Speaker 5: it really well an endgame and like not maybe kind
- 32:27Speaker 5: of clunkily in Quantum Mania, or the TVA, and those
- 32:30Speaker 5: are the two mechanisms, so it felt very necessary to
- 32:34Speaker 5: do that. I was a little bit a small gripe.
- 32:37Speaker 5: Was like they introduced this guy Paradox, who's kind of
- 32:40Speaker 5: a like, uh like a kind of a goofy almost
- 32:45Speaker 5: like pencil pusher kind of guy with some kind of
- 32:49Speaker 5: I don't really get.
- 32:50Speaker 4: I don't really get his character.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Act.
- 32:54Speaker 5: He was great. The character was awesome, but it's like,
- 32:56Speaker 5: it's one of those times where like, what's the motivation?
- 32:59Speaker 5: Why do you have a chip your shoulder? Why? What
- 33:01Speaker 5: was the thing called the time grinder or ripper or
- 33:03Speaker 5: what was.
- 33:04Speaker 4: It called the thread ripper?
- 33:07Speaker 5: Yeah, the timeline pressure, that thing, the big mcguffin, the
- 33:11Speaker 5: mcguffin device, Like he just had what in the maguffin?
- 33:15Speaker 5: So like he was great, but I want a little
- 33:17Speaker 5: bit more motivation. But I thought the TVA as an
- 33:20Speaker 5: entity was a clever method to tie Deadpool in because
- 33:25Speaker 5: how funny can just portal hop like it's so it's
- 33:27Speaker 5: so Deadpool and it leans into like you get a
- 33:31Speaker 5: character like him with that kind of power, and it
- 33:33Speaker 5: is like Shenanigans are going to ensue, And it helped
- 33:38Speaker 5: tie in the sort of dying Fox movies and that
- 33:42Speaker 5: continuity with the current thriving you know, Disney Marvel stuff.
- 33:47Speaker 5: I thought that was great. I also loved the concept
- 33:50Speaker 5: of anchor being and I hope they explore that more.
- 33:52Speaker 5: I saw a little interview clip with Kevin Figi where
- 33:55Speaker 5: a guy mentioned the anchor being concept and if like
- 34:01Speaker 5: what did he say? His question was like if Tony
- 34:03Speaker 5: Stark was the anchor being too? Six one six like
- 34:08Speaker 5: the MCU timeline, and Figi didn't really answer. He's like
- 34:11Speaker 5: the fact that you're asking questions is really cool moving forward.
- 34:15Speaker 5: So I think that they're going to explore that idea
- 34:17Speaker 5: more because this whole multiverse Sagast's got a connect up.
- 34:22Speaker 5: We've got like God Loki sitting on his chair holding
- 34:24Speaker 5: the threads together. There's all this stuff it's got to
- 34:27Speaker 5: come in, you know, connected again like that, And I
- 34:30Speaker 5: think the anchor being concept is super cool. A small gripe.
- 34:35Speaker 5: These are small gripes, right, little tangy Hot takes the
- 34:39Speaker 5: voids a really cool setting to have like the bulk
- 34:43Speaker 5: of the movie take place in. But I wanted a
- 34:45Speaker 5: little bit more outside of it, you know, like it
- 34:47Speaker 5: felt a little confined to that and also correct me
- 34:51Speaker 5: if I'm wrong, but like it's a whole like place
- 34:55Speaker 5: in there, like there's like forests and fields and like prettiness.
- 34:58Speaker 5: I thought it was just a barren wasteland and from.
- 35:00Speaker 4: That, I don't understand the Void, to be honest, very
- 35:03Speaker 4: much like I missed something in.
- 35:04Speaker 5: The season one of Loki because they like they interact
- 35:07Speaker 5: with other Loki variants and they're in like the caves
- 35:10Speaker 5: and stuff. But I didn't know there was like beautiful
- 35:12Speaker 5: forests and buildings and houses and stuff. Again, a little
- 35:18Speaker 5: a little bit of explanation would have been nice, but
- 35:19Speaker 5: it's a small gripe in the context of this crazy
- 35:22Speaker 5: movie that you know was taking place. I thought Cassandra
- 35:26Speaker 5: Noova was an awesome villain.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Loved her.
- 35:30Speaker 5: We know, we know Marvel sometimes suffers from the like
- 35:33Speaker 5: villain syndrome where they just throw a bad guy out
- 35:36Speaker 5: and they don't explain why. They still could have given
- 35:39Speaker 5: us a little bit more maybe backstory to her, but
- 35:42Speaker 5: she ate the roll up so much that like she
- 35:46Speaker 5: was so creepy and so sort of sadistic, and really the.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Fingers in the head, did you guys so cool?
- 35:52Speaker 4: Maybe it's a trivia g was so cool.
- 35:54Speaker 5: Maybe it's a trivia thing. But she had prosthetic fingers
- 35:57Speaker 5: on what Emma Current had prosthetic fingers the most like extensions,
- 36:03Speaker 5: so her fingers were like two inches longer than normal
- 36:07Speaker 5: to give her hands that really otherworldly kind of creepy vibe.
- 36:10Speaker 5: And then obviously all the CG in their faces and
- 36:12Speaker 5: stuff was nuts. But she was super creepy, and I
- 36:16Speaker 5: thought they did a pretty good job providing a really scary, threatening,
- 36:22Speaker 5: dangerous villain for these guys to go up against. Reynolds
- 36:26Speaker 5: just he's perfect. I mean, what can you not say
- 36:29Speaker 5: about the guy in this role. He was born to
- 36:31Speaker 5: play this character. He's played this character long before he
- 36:36Speaker 5: was Deadpool. I mean, you go back to Blade Trinity,
- 36:39Speaker 5: and he was this character for Blade Trinity, and he
- 36:42Speaker 5: was kind of this character even when he was trying
- 36:44Speaker 5: to be Green Lantern. It's just it was coded into
- 36:47Speaker 5: the dude's DNA, you know what I mean. And it
- 36:50Speaker 5: was a cool, slightly different take on him at first,
- 36:52Speaker 5: with this sort of like trying to settle down and
- 36:55Speaker 5: like be a normal guy, you know, for a sec,
- 36:59Speaker 5: which is then obviously uprooted immediately and he goes right
- 37:03Speaker 5: back into being the raunchy, vulgar, just you know, amazing
- 37:08Speaker 5: guy that we love. So he was amazing again. Hugh
- 37:12Speaker 5: once again showed why he's gonna go down history as
- 37:15Speaker 5: the perfect casting for Logan despite being too tall, which
- 37:19Speaker 5: you know they referenced in this.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I love that.
- 37:22Speaker 5: I've always thought that Logan was one of the most
- 37:26Speaker 5: emotional and like incredible superhero movies and like a really
- 37:30Speaker 5: really good film, you know what I mean.
- 37:33Speaker 4: I'm so happy that they didn't do anything that got
- 37:37Speaker 4: even close to touching that they didn't like in a
- 37:40Speaker 4: bad way.
- 37:40Speaker 5: Yeah, just the funniest part. Yeah, even though they didn't
- 37:44Speaker 5: like desecrate the story of the movie, they did absolutely
- 37:48Speaker 5: desecrate his skeleton in the most r rated skeletal combat thing.
- 37:54Speaker 5: They didn't touch the story, which was really important because
- 37:57Speaker 5: it was a beautiful ending to the huge overarching story
- 38:01Speaker 5: with him. But we got to see a little bit
- 38:04Speaker 5: of a different side to Wolverine than we've ever seen,
- 38:06Speaker 5: with this kind of like sad boy energy that he had,
- 38:09Speaker 5: Like yeah, you know, he's sad, drunk, broken, and then eventually,
- 38:14Speaker 5: you know, finds kind of redemption through the team up
- 38:16Speaker 5: and everything. And I one thing and I maybe since
- 38:21Speaker 5: you've seen it three times, do we get a sense
- 38:24Speaker 5: as to what actually happened to this Logan's X men.
- 38:28Speaker 5: They dance around it and he's like, I wasn't there.
- 38:30Speaker 5: I couldn't help them, but like.
- 38:33Speaker 4: What, he was drunk and went home and basically they
- 38:36Speaker 4: got attacked while he was home passed out.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Is sort of the It gets.
- 38:41Speaker 4: A little confusing because there's a very famous plot point
- 38:45Speaker 4: where I can't remember who does it, but someone takes
- 38:48Speaker 4: over Logan's mind.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Oh, and he thinks.
- 38:51Speaker 4: He's defending the like his team and stuff, and he
- 38:54Speaker 4: is actually the one that kills them. And I thought
- 38:57Speaker 4: that's where we were gonna go, but they might have
- 38:59Speaker 4: decided that that's a little too far, too far for
- 39:01Speaker 4: him to get redemption.
- 39:02Speaker 5: Shit, he doesn't get to be redeemed from it.
- 39:05Speaker 4: So I think they just basically said, like he was
- 39:08Speaker 4: worrying about himself.
- 39:10Speaker 5: Right, it's like a sentinel attack. Yeah, like some just
- 39:13Speaker 5: some Okay, I was I was like that I seriously
- 39:16Speaker 5: miss something. Either way, you know, he gets to sort
- 39:18Speaker 5: of redeem himself. But it was again a cool We
- 39:23Speaker 5: always have had Gruff Wolverine, but not like Gruff giving
- 39:26Speaker 5: up Wolverine you know what I mean, It was a
- 39:28Speaker 5: cool different side to it. The cameos were a fan
- 39:32Speaker 5: service wet dream. It just was like ridiculous the amount
- 39:35Speaker 5: of characters got to see from the past, and so
- 39:38Speaker 5: like nostalgic. Again as a guy who that was my
- 39:41Speaker 5: I grew up on those characters, you know what I mean,
- 39:44Speaker 5: Like it was my first entrance into comic book movies
- 39:48Speaker 5: was X Men one, and then you know, Spider Man.
- 39:51Speaker 5: If you're going Sony or whatever. It's just it was
- 39:53Speaker 5: so crazy to see all those guys. Soundtrack was fire.
- 39:56Speaker 5: You guys already said that. I thought the fight choreo
- 39:59Speaker 5: was stell and they really did. There was so many
- 40:03Speaker 5: different kinds of like fighting styles and choreography that I'll
- 40:06Speaker 5: get into in the scenes portion of this conversation. The
- 40:11Speaker 5: VFX were super solid too, Like it's a long ass movie,
- 40:15Speaker 5: and luckily a lot of it was grounded and just
- 40:17Speaker 5: character interactions, so when you did have big scenes that
- 40:20Speaker 5: needed CG, it was pretty great, you know. And that's
- 40:25Speaker 5: I think what they benefited from having so much of
- 40:27Speaker 5: it just be like one on one character driven stuff
- 40:30Speaker 5: is that they could really if they needed to hammer
- 40:32Speaker 5: it home.
- 40:32Speaker 1: So that's always great for me.
- 40:33Speaker 5: I never like a shoddy CG moment in a great
- 40:36Speaker 5: movie like this, you know what I mean. I kind
- 40:39Speaker 5: of mentioned my small gripes. It's little stuff, you know,
- 40:41Speaker 5: but like nothing that took away from the experience of
- 40:45Speaker 5: this hilarious and disgusting, raunchy, brutal and heartfelt, an emotional,
- 40:52Speaker 5: awesome movie. And then I could put this in the
- 40:56Speaker 5: scenes category, but I wouldn't actually choose it. But I
- 40:58Speaker 5: have to mention that they gut punched us with a
- 41:05Speaker 5: goodbye montage to personally my whole childhood sent to good riddance,
- 41:12Speaker 5: and it like reminded me and I saw I saw
- 41:15Speaker 5: a TikTok of a guy literally saying the same crap,
- 41:19Speaker 5: Like how how much those Fox movies meant, Like some
- 41:24Speaker 5: of them were rough, Electro was rough, I mean even
- 41:26Speaker 5: like there's some rough entries there, but they really had
- 41:29Speaker 5: an impact, and like you said, they paved the way
- 41:32Speaker 5: for Marvel to succeed at what they're doing. And I
- 41:35Speaker 5: literally was like tearing up during that with all the
- 41:37Speaker 5: behind the scenes clips and all these like those moments,
- 41:41Speaker 5: such a solid and again such a funny, heartfelt way
- 41:46Speaker 5: to end such a crazy ridiculous movie. So it was stellar.
- 41:52Speaker 5: I'm in that ninety seven eight nine percent. I got
- 41:55Speaker 5: my little gripes. Take nothing away from this. Everything was
- 41:58Speaker 5: incredible and we're going to talk more about it. So yeah,
- 42:02Speaker 5: take hat See I talked for longer, Buges.
- 42:06Speaker 4: You did you did you? I tried to stop myself.
- 42:10Speaker 4: But let's keep going, and let's name our favorite acting performance.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Shall we name the dude? I'm the dude? So that's
- 42:18Speaker 1: what you call me, you know that? Or his dudeness
- 42:23Speaker 1: or duder or you know, el dud reno if you're
- 42:27Speaker 1: not into the whole brevity thing.
- 42:28Speaker 5: Riley, it's a tough that's a tough one, guys. It's
- 42:35Speaker 5: a toss up, quite literally, a toss up. There's two choices,
- 42:38Speaker 5: you know what I mean, And they're in the title.
- 42:41Speaker 5: I think to keep this one a little shorter and sweeter.
- 42:45Speaker 5: Out of the two performances, I was more sort of
- 42:48Speaker 5: like there was something fresher going on with one of
- 42:51Speaker 5: them than the other, you know, And so I and
- 42:54Speaker 5: I'm also I'm such I'm such a whore for you, guys,
- 42:57Speaker 5: I really am.
- 42:59Speaker 1: I love him. He's a whore for you. We've always
- 43:01Speaker 1: said it. I I love you guy so much on it.
- 43:05Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, seriously, I am a whore for you. Slaps
- 43:09Speaker 5: that on. Wear it proudly. I love everything he's in,
- 43:13Speaker 5: Like every movie that he's in is incredible, and I
- 43:16Speaker 5: thought in particularly this one was fun because, like I
- 43:18Speaker 5: said before, we got a different side to Logan and
- 43:21Speaker 5: wolf Inge then we've seen whereas Deadpool again incredible, Ryan
- 43:25Speaker 5: Reynolds crushes it as always, but it's kind of the
- 43:27Speaker 5: same character we've seen in a new context, in a
- 43:30Speaker 5: new setting, Whereas Hugh gave us a fresh take on
- 43:34Speaker 5: a character that we've seen him play for like what
- 43:36Speaker 5: is it fifteen years or something crazy like that, So sure,
- 43:39Speaker 5: twenty plus years. So I got to give it to
- 43:42Speaker 5: my man, the jack Man.
- 43:44Speaker 1: I absolutely understand that he was for sure the most
- 43:49Speaker 1: impressive acting wise.
- 43:51Speaker 5: Yes, monologues, he delivers those long monologues or like wow, but.
- 43:59Speaker 1: You gotta give it up for Ryan Reynolds just because
- 44:02Speaker 1: he's like created this whole thing and it so works
- 44:06Speaker 1: for me. His whole vibe is unbelievable. Every single thing
- 44:11Speaker 1: that comes out of his mouth is hilarious.
- 44:14Speaker 5: He is with the mouth, he is, it's He's just incredible.
- 44:18Speaker 1: So I guess I'll give it to Deadpool. I'll give
- 44:21Speaker 1: it to Ryan Reynolds. He's amazing. Yeah, I love that.
- 44:25Speaker 4: I don't think there's a wrong answer here. But I
- 44:27Speaker 4: also am going Hugh again. Put me in the horror
- 44:31Speaker 4: for Hugh Camp as well.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Start a club.
- 44:34Speaker 5: Yeah, let's start a Facebook page, Let's get people invited.
- 44:37Speaker 4: I think I'm totally with I think his acting in
- 44:41Speaker 4: this stands out a ton and he gets way more
- 44:45Speaker 4: of the heartfelt moments in this, which actually like I'd
- 44:49Speaker 4: like the first Deadpool more than all three Deadpool or
- 44:52Speaker 4: the most out of all three iterations, because I think
- 44:56Speaker 4: Reynolds got to do more in that first one. Oh,
- 44:59Speaker 4: you're right, so like desperation and the actual acting and stuff.
- 45:04Speaker 4: I'm gonna so this is like, obviously this the nitpickiest
- 45:08Speaker 4: of all nitpicks, but I'm it's getting a little one
- 45:12Speaker 4: notey with me for Deadpool.
- 45:14Speaker 1: I still love.
- 45:14Speaker 4: It, but I'm also like, let's like he can do
- 45:19Speaker 4: it all, Like, let's not just have it be that
- 45:22Speaker 4: like that a glorious That's why I'm like, I don't
- 45:28Speaker 4: want him to stop.
- 45:29Speaker 5: The most beautiful note, but you can have a little
- 45:31Speaker 5: bit of like tensions.
- 45:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know, but anyway, Hugh Jackman for me
- 45:39Speaker 4: is the dude. I think he's wonderful on this for
- 45:43Speaker 4: a number of reasons. But he's just he's great and
- 45:48Speaker 4: and so he's so good at the ethos of Wolverine.
- 45:51Speaker 5: He is and Hugh himself is such a such a sweet,
- 45:55Speaker 5: kind person, so when he deviates so much for his
- 46:00Speaker 5: self to play this character, whereas again Ryan Reynolds, he's
- 46:04Speaker 5: kind of like a souped up version of himself or
- 46:07Speaker 5: maybe or maybe since he's been playing Deadpool, he's sort
- 46:10Speaker 5: of amalgamated his personality into that a little bit. Again,
- 46:13Speaker 5: it's incredible, but he was deviating from who he really
- 46:17Speaker 5: is to like something extremely different.
- 46:19Speaker 4: I just I love it so much and I love
- 46:22Speaker 4: like he gets the what I think are some of
- 46:25Speaker 4: the biggest parts of Wolverine, and probably because he's done
- 46:28Speaker 4: it so he gets to decide that to a great extent.
- 46:31Speaker 4: But like he thinks he's a loner, but he needs
- 46:33Speaker 4: a team of people and a family around him, like
- 46:36Speaker 4: and that he never quite understands that about himself. Wolverine doesn't,
- 46:40Speaker 4: Logan doesn't. And also just like in every movie, Wolverine
- 46:45Speaker 4: has like anger issues, you know what I mean, But
- 46:49Speaker 4: in this.
- 46:49Speaker 1: One it is all inward.
- 46:52Speaker 4: Like usually he shares some with the world, but in
- 46:55Speaker 4: this movie, it's all himself and he just like and
- 46:59Speaker 4: I just think that scene where he like pulls the
- 47:01Speaker 4: gun up to us and he's like, go for it.
- 47:03Speaker 4: You think I haven't And I just took it as
- 47:05Speaker 4: like you think I haven't tried that, you dumb bastard.
- 47:08Speaker 4: Like if I could have died, I would have done
- 47:11Speaker 4: it myself already, you know, like just intense.
- 47:15Speaker 1: But yeah, so it's here for me. He's the dude.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I get it. Well, very very big cast. I think
- 47:21Speaker 1: we should go and talk about some of these supporting roles,
- 47:24Speaker 1: and let's pick our Tuccil Lord Tchi.
- 47:30Speaker 5: Riley got the oh no, oh no, guys, Oh no,
- 47:35Speaker 5: this is hard. This is where it gets fun too,
- 47:37Speaker 5: because here is where we start talking about. Spoiler alert
- 47:40Speaker 5: everybody some specific awesome cameos that play. I think at
- 47:43Speaker 5: least I mentioned before. I thought Matthew mc McFadyen mcfaden
- 47:50Speaker 5: mcfaden mcfaden was really great. As paradox, I think that
- 47:55Speaker 5: the character could have been fleshed out more, but that's
- 47:57Speaker 5: not his fault.
- 47:58Speaker 1: He was awesome.
- 47:59Speaker 5: He was so animated, and it's kind of spastic and goofy,
- 48:03Speaker 5: as like a Tier two villain almost, you know, to
- 48:06Speaker 5: the movie Emma Carin is the main villain. Again, I
- 48:10Speaker 5: said she was awesome. I thought, I'm really struggling here, guys,
- 48:14Speaker 5: But I think, I think because it surprised me so
- 48:18Speaker 5: damn much, I have to say Chris Evans as Johnny
- 48:24Speaker 5: and I'm sure you guys will agree because it's the obvious,
- 48:26Speaker 5: clear choice. I was flabbergasted, like I think that. I
- 48:32Speaker 5: think my jaw hit the floor because when.
- 48:35Speaker 1: You said Dick, I was like, he's Johnny Storm.
- 48:39Speaker 5: I was like, no language, language please, not yet, not
- 48:46Speaker 5: just the reveal that he was Johnny Storm, but that
- 48:48Speaker 5: they leaned in because Johnny never talked like that in
- 48:51Speaker 5: the Fantastic Four movies and so like, not to that degree,
- 48:55Speaker 5: but when he starts going off, and it was so
- 48:59Speaker 5: wonderful because they really bait and switch you. They show
- 49:02Speaker 5: that little bit of red, blue and white on his arm,
- 49:04Speaker 5: and you think you're getting a cat. You think you're
- 49:06Speaker 5: getting a cat variant, and you see the long hit.
- 49:09Speaker 5: It doesn't look like cap and he's like, you know, thinner,
- 49:11Speaker 5: he's not all built like he usually is. That it
- 49:15Speaker 5: was glorious, and it was brief. You know, he wasn't
- 49:19Speaker 5: on part of the movie for very long. And there's
- 49:22Speaker 5: other characters that maybe held more weight for you know,
- 49:25Speaker 5: from that standpoint, but I can't justify giving it to
- 49:28Speaker 5: anybody else. It was so amazing and so smart too,
- 49:34Speaker 5: like for them to do that. There's fifty other characters
- 49:37Speaker 5: they could have highlighted like they did him. But because
- 49:42Speaker 5: the only thing I just said to Ken's about two
- 49:44Speaker 5: hours ago that would have been funnier or would have
- 49:47Speaker 5: added to it, is if we would have gotten Michael B.
- 49:50Speaker 5: Jordan also as another Johnny, but he dies even sooner
- 49:55Speaker 5: because you know what I mean, Like that could have
- 49:58Speaker 5: just been like a little sprinkle of sugar on top.
- 50:00Speaker 5: But it was just so so fun to see that happen.
- 50:05Speaker 5: And I've got other honorable mentions, but I'll let you
- 50:07Speaker 5: guys go first.
- 50:08Speaker 4: If there's something else to say.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Sure, Yeah, So I had a clear winner. It wasn't
- 50:14Speaker 1: even close.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Uh.
- 50:15Speaker 1: And it was Peggy the Dog as Dogpool. I mean,
- 50:20Speaker 1: it was the funniest looking dog I've ever seen in
- 50:24Speaker 1: my own.
- 50:26Speaker 4: She apparently won the Ugliest Dog in Britain or something, or.
- 50:33Speaker 5: Was that Chinese crested something.
- 50:35Speaker 1: Rather, they always just so fun in those slow motion
- 50:41Speaker 1: running shots. I was laughing so hard.
- 50:44Speaker 5: I got like a gimpy foot that like three times
- 50:47Speaker 5: too long time.
- 50:48Speaker 4: It's ridiculous and no reason for that really to be
- 50:52Speaker 4: in the movie other than it was fun.
- 50:54Speaker 1: I mean, it was super funny. I'm glad it was.
- 50:56Speaker 5: But like and the Deadpool variant like team like, it's funny. Okay,
- 50:59Speaker 5: you get like a dog very end of Deadpool, and
- 51:01Speaker 5: then they choose that little Las dog so great.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Bryan Reynolds just let him lick him so much his.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Tongue.
- 51:13Speaker 1: It made me laugh so hard. I love that. Yeah,
- 51:17Speaker 1: but I would have also picked Chris Evans for everything
- 51:20Speaker 1: you said, Riley.
- 51:24Speaker 4: Those are all great. I'm on board with all of them.
- 51:27Speaker 4: I just want to again shout out to Emma Corn
- 51:29Speaker 4: because I did think she was great as Cassandra Nova.
- 51:32Speaker 1: One of the weirder like.
- 51:34Speaker 4: Origin stories for a character she shared a womb with
- 51:36Speaker 4: Professor X and that she was.
- 51:38Speaker 1: A twins some soap opera stuff, and that's you know.
- 51:44Speaker 5: That is her origin in the comics, I'm not mistaken.
- 51:46Speaker 5: They just that was too complicated to try and weave
- 51:49Speaker 5: into the old X Men, so they just were like,
- 51:51Speaker 5: we're not gonna worry about her. But in this they
- 51:53Speaker 5: were out of the million potential multiversal threads they can
- 51:57Speaker 5: have one where there was a crazy twin that you
- 52:00Speaker 5: know was absorbed or died or whatever.
- 52:03Speaker 4: Yes, uh, so I think my pick would be out
- 52:09Speaker 4: of other than the people you guys have said. Rob Delaney,
- 52:11Speaker 4: I thought was awesome as Peter. Peter's hysterical and apparently
- 52:16Speaker 4: also like an anchor being of sorts to the dad
- 52:19Speaker 4: Pools at least, which is really funny, like that there's
- 52:24Speaker 4: time with him. He has some funny scenes characters that
- 52:27Speaker 4: made me, like gasp, so hyped when Wesley Snipes came out.
- 52:31Speaker 4: I love him so much. Actually, that whole crew that
- 52:35Speaker 4: Dephney Keene playing Laura Slash X twenty three, Jennifer Garner
- 52:40Speaker 4: as Electra, even though I never watched that movie. I
- 52:43Speaker 4: don't even think I missed that one o.
- 52:46Speaker 5: The old school Deadpool with her in it, but not
- 52:48Speaker 5: not darl.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Right right uh, and then Channing Tatum.
- 52:54Speaker 4: I I have always loved Gambit, so I was so
- 52:57Speaker 4: stoked when he was there.
- 52:59Speaker 1: At his moment. Dude, he delivered. And then finally.
- 53:03Speaker 4: Who I hope if we do get more Wolverine is
- 53:06Speaker 4: who will get to take up the mantle give me
- 53:08Speaker 4: the cavalrein forever. Because Henry Cavill looked perfect.
- 53:12Speaker 1: He looks so good.
- 53:13Speaker 5: You guys, I gasped, I truly gasped. I think I
- 53:17Speaker 5: like you know what I mean. It was one of
- 53:19Speaker 5: those like, oh my god, this is happening moments.
- 53:21Speaker 4: Because also he did the armcocking thing to get his.
- 53:26Speaker 5: Closet biceps again, you guys.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, he's great. Yeah, he's crazy.
- 53:32Speaker 4: He just he just lifts weights and plays warhammer.
- 53:34Speaker 1: That's all he does.
- 53:36Speaker 5: He's just a yoked nerd who is happy to step
- 53:39Speaker 5: in for a brief little cameo pun Ryan Reynolds in
- 53:42Speaker 5: the chest.
- 53:44Speaker 4: Also, I bet Aaron Stanford never thought he would get
- 53:47Speaker 4: to play pyro ever again.
- 53:49Speaker 5: And not to such not to such depth either, Like
- 53:52Speaker 5: he had some screen.
- 53:53Speaker 1: It's an important part of the movie.
- 53:55Speaker 5: He had screen time, you guys, like screen time. Yeah yeah, dude,
- 54:00Speaker 5: I got a back up on Channing Tatum too, because
- 54:02Speaker 5: that poor guy was so stoked to be Gambit and
- 54:05Speaker 5: he was in production hell for like a decade.
- 54:08Speaker 1: That was the thing.
- 54:09Speaker 4: Yeah until after the movie, Like I never had heard
- 54:12Speaker 4: that that scene.
- 54:13Speaker 5: That's those times where that that cameo in that scene
- 54:18Speaker 5: really like hit me because I remember when that was
- 54:22Speaker 5: announced and he was so stoked and it was just
- 54:25Speaker 5: like there's so much buzz about it, and it just
- 54:27Speaker 5: could not get off the ground to his own movie.
- 54:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it was like a standalone Gambit movie.
- 54:34Speaker 1: Apparently.
- 54:35Speaker 4: Also, they're definitely bringing him back because everyone on the
- 54:39Speaker 4: on the internet loves him. Yeah, and they spent a
- 54:42Speaker 4: ton of money making his magic look super cool.
- 54:44Speaker 5: That's what I'm talking about. The effects, dude, his powers
- 54:48Speaker 5: were sick.
- 54:49Speaker 4: I mean Gambit's power way that's the last time we
- 54:51Speaker 4: see him.
- 54:52Speaker 5: It was so sick, and he like the accent was
- 54:55Speaker 5: a hilarious, like comedic point from the dialogue standpoint, but
- 54:58Speaker 5: it also was kind of rat like. It was pretty good,
- 55:02Speaker 5: and he I think, is a little bit big, bigger
- 55:05Speaker 5: than Gambit. Is kind of like how Hugh was bigger
- 55:07Speaker 5: than Wolverine's. But he did a great job and it
- 55:10Speaker 5: was such a sick moment for him. So even if
- 55:12Speaker 5: it doesn't lead to anything. How cool that he got
- 55:16Speaker 5: to have his moment to shine. I wouldn't be surprised
- 55:18Speaker 5: we see him in like Secret Wars though, or something where.
- 55:20Speaker 1: They can like.
- 55:22Speaker 4: Literally going to be every superhero that's ever.
- 55:25Speaker 5: Existing one basically every single one of them and all
- 55:28Speaker 5: the variants all at once.
- 55:29Speaker 4: It's gonna be like for about twenty seconds each problem.
- 55:31Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 55:33Speaker 1: No.
- 55:33Speaker 5: He was such a scene stealer though, all of his
- 55:35Speaker 5: little lines and everything, and him and Deadpool together, he
- 55:38Speaker 5: was great. And good for him too, because that was
- 55:41Speaker 5: a sad day when it was finally like Gambit's not happening, guys.
- 55:45Speaker 4: Uh so yeah, yeah, but those were all the big
- 55:50Speaker 4: ones for me. I think I think other ones will
- 55:52Speaker 4: maybe come up.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Yeah, a lot of smaller ones too, but yeah for sure.
- 55:58Speaker 4: Yeah, anyone else have any others?
- 56:00Speaker 1: Upper?
- 56:00Speaker 4: We feel good about moving ahead.
- 56:03Speaker 5: People can tune in for the Patron Only Top five
- 56:05Speaker 5: if they want to hear about Cameo.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Right, nice plug, I like it. Well, let's go in.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Let's pick our favorite scene. Let's choose the Dingus sodas
- 56:20Speaker 1: is quite simple, really Ingus Dingus. I can talk about
- 56:23Speaker 1: my dingas all night long. Good luck, Well you get
- 56:28Speaker 1: to start.
- 56:28Speaker 5: I know I did. Actually I narrowed it down to
- 56:32Speaker 5: three scenes that I'm choosing from because there's a lot
- 56:37Speaker 5: of scenes. The whole damn movie is one long run
- 56:40Speaker 5: on scene. I'm I'm struggling. First of all, just the
- 56:47Speaker 5: Wolverine montage, like the searching for a New Wolverine Acre
- 56:52Speaker 5: montage was great, Like we got to see some really
- 56:55Speaker 5: fun Wolverine cameo moment type things that just a little
- 57:02Speaker 5: like homage to this era, a little homage to this
- 57:04Speaker 5: era that was so fun. Cavalreen obviously stole the show,
- 57:09Speaker 5: but my two favorite scenes were honestly the first Void
- 57:15Speaker 5: fight where they're in front of the Fox logo and
- 57:20Speaker 5: it's like it's serious, you know what I mean, Like
- 57:22Speaker 5: that's a really like serious moment, and I thought it
- 57:28Speaker 5: was very kind of how I was talking about. The
- 57:30Speaker 5: choreography for the fighting and stuff was really well choreographed,
- 57:34Speaker 5: and it really highlighted these two different fighters styles of fighting,
- 57:41Speaker 5: you know what I mean, with his guns and katanas
- 57:44Speaker 5: versus this kind of animalistic like rage that Wolverene has.
- 57:47Speaker 5: That charge that he does at the beginning where he
- 57:50Speaker 5: runs at him on all fours. I was like, Oh
- 57:52Speaker 5: my god. It was so sick and it was like
- 57:56Speaker 5: it was like a well done serious fight, I mean ridiculous,
- 58:00Speaker 5: but like really seriously fighting each other. And then my
- 58:03Speaker 5: other favorite scene was the car fight scene, which was
- 58:10Speaker 5: so different in the sense that it was like messy
- 58:14Speaker 5: and claustrophobic and just full on rage from both of them,
- 58:19Speaker 5: like and just brutal, right, So it was a lot less.
- 58:24Speaker 5: It was just full on throwing fists and just absolutely
- 58:28Speaker 5: messing each other up in a confined space like that.
- 58:31Speaker 5: So those two scenes were like funny to me because
- 58:33Speaker 5: they played off of one another, like two very different
- 58:36Speaker 5: ways that these two guys duke it out and they
- 58:39Speaker 5: both leave alive, still exhausted, you know what I mean.
- 58:42Speaker 5: So I'm struggling to choose, and I'm kind of I
- 58:46Speaker 5: kind of want to hear what you guys have to
- 58:48Speaker 5: say before we agree on something, because you might like it.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Well, I do know from experience, the Honda Odyssey language
- 58:57Speaker 1: hard language. Yes, I am a Honda Odyssey owner and
- 59:04Speaker 1: I loved that so much.
- 59:07Speaker 5: So how do you guys think they wrote that? Do
- 59:12Speaker 5: you think they were like, we'd have a fight scene
- 59:14Speaker 5: in a Honda Odyssey And then they wrote that into
- 59:16Speaker 5: the script earlier as a car salesman, because like, what
- 59:19Speaker 5: the heck kind of through plot line is that perfect?
- 59:22Speaker 1: I was there for it big time. Yeah. I also
- 59:27Speaker 1: wrote down three scenes, and I that Chris Evans cameo
- 59:33Speaker 1: was maybe maybe my favorite, like fun scene. It's also
- 59:39Speaker 1: right after that void battle. It is it's like.
- 59:42Speaker 5: Nudges right up on it.
- 59:43Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure, you're coming off.
- 59:45Speaker 5: You're already sweaty from that moment, just trying to catch
- 59:48Speaker 5: your breath.
- 59:49Speaker 1: But for like a heartfelt scene, the scene between Hugh
- 59:55Speaker 1: Jackman and Daphne Keene. Oh yes, she says one of
- 59:58Speaker 1: the best lines in the movie. It was emotional. We
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: got to see why he never wore the yellow suit
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: before and why he wears it now. I thought, in
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: a very very funny film that that scene gave it
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: so much more depth and it might have produced a
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: boohoo from someone I think, yeah, didn't kind of.
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: Never never insane, no, oh never booo. They kind of
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: also referenced that in the hilarious way in that diner
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: scene where he's like, are we gonna have a third act?
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Whatever? You know is what it is, and it definitely
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: happens happens. I love that.
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: Uh well, we have said all the same scenes, so
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: this isn't getting easier that the scene is hysterical. It
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: also starts with a great piece of acting by you.
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: That's where he.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: Really undresses him. Yeah, like or dresses him down. I
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: guess those are different. Him also say at one point
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: they're like, are you guys gonna fight? Are you guys
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: gonna And honestly, if you told me they were having
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: sex in that vam, the scene plays out the same. Yeah,
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: they both are, you know, like there's juices all over and.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: It happens.
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, wait a second, hold on, you guys.
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: I didn't know if this was going to have an
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: organic way to weave this into this podcast. While I well,
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: I was trying to find quotes, you guys. I stumbled
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: on some like hot and steamy fan fiction? Oh did
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: put Wolverine fan fiction?
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: You guys?
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: Oh no, we're talking a lot of cupping.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Hat like it was there was cupping.
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: I was like looking at the one quote and as
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: I'm looking through, I'm like, oh my god, this is
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: like graphic fan fiction that I just stumbled upon.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I love that link.
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: Later on anyway, I got you, buddy, I got you.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Honestly. Scene great, totally agree. If we're doing like serious
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: scene that that are they buy a fire? Is that
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: what they're doing when they're having their it's like a
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: barrel fire? Like, Yeah, I love that scene.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I think that's so so cool.
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: And she says that great line that we only see
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: a part of and then it then it like later
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: completes the line and you see, oh damn, okay, I
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: see what she was actually getting at.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: It made me when I was writing down quotes, I
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: was like, did I like, am I crazy? I thought
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: she added the last part and then I realized it
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: was like, oh she does later remembering the whole conversation.
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: Give us a little fake out.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: Yeah. So I love love both of those scenes. I
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: also love that void scene. I think it's super cool.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: Like you said, Riley, we get to see Wolverine fight
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: a little bit more like he does.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: In the comics.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: Yeah, he's like a little more animalistic. I also love
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: that they really went into like their healing powers are
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: so strong. They don't give it washing.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Ever, because they're just like whatever, dude, like we don't care.
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: He gets like stabbed in the head with a katana.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: You're like, what, this is ridiculous.
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: So so fun, you know, I want to give a
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: shout out to one we haven't said, uh, Deadpool using
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: the adamantium body of Wolverine to kill all those TVs
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: to buy.
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: We cannot purfast that.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I just was like, this is amazing.
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: We get like the credits in the fight too, which
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: is so fun, and just loved that scene.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: It's the same as in Deadpool one and two. They
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: have a similar vibe in the in the intro credits
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: where in the first one it's like the car crash
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: as he's like killing the dudes through the car and
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: you get all the names. The names are woven into
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: all the sort of like action. Yeah, so good. And
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: that's like they didn't they desecrated nothing about Logan in
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: from where the movie ended back, but they sure desecrated
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: it moving forward.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Going forward for sure. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: Also, Rob, did you get the reference to one of
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: your favorite movies of all time with the coffee cup?
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Oh maybe you didn't know. I forget that. The trivia.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I don't know that I knew it in the.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: Says like I like me he steals and whatever, And
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: that's from playing nice.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: My wife likes me. Oh man, what a movie.
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: That's one of those pos that I know that but
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: I don't know, I've never seen it take place, you
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: know what I mean?
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but that I mean.
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: And then the when we meet up with the four
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: like variants Electra Gambit.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: Yeah, good, that entire thing.
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: It's the most like fangirl moment for everybody. We're all
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: freaking out, like you know, clutching girls for that.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: This is fan service to the max, and I'm here
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: for every second.
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: Similarly, similarly, a scene that gives similar vibes to that,
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: but it's it's the baby sibling to that is when
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: they first pull into Dead ant Man corpse base, and
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: which is such a great little funny cameo if I
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: want to call it that, and you get all the
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: like Sea Tier Fox X men baddies who are her
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: like little henchmen, some of which are very cool and
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: had great moments, including like guys like Toad and like
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: we mentioned pyro Ye, and there's a there death stroke
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: Lady Death's fernails. Yeah. So that's a great little like
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: sub version of that. And then and then we go
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: to yeah, whatever we want to call them, the the
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: Void Revengers. Yeah, and it's such a great, such a
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: great moment.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: But yeah, if I had to pick one, I think
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: it's I think it has to be.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm all the guys are so for it because like.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: Especially the co Exist decal getting spattered with blood, like.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: Yeah, and all the funny gags, all the car gags
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: we get. We get seats moving back, we get seat
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: belts being tied up, we get like wipers going. It's
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: like it's such a like three Stooges sort of like
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: physical comedy sort of thing. But then with all the
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: blood and gore that you could possibly infuse into it,
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: and what is there a great song playing too? I
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: feel like I'm forgetting what song was playing.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: That I want?
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: Okay, I mean they start with hitting his head on
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: the radio and a couple three four things, but most
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: of it is you're the one that I want.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: Which and and it's it leads into it, like you said,
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: with that really powerful monologue from Logan, when what does
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: a Deadpool say is like I'm gonna fight you now,
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: like nothing else to say, and then they just go at.
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: It, which again could a one hundred percent b I'm
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: gonna and it wouldn't be that much weirder. I'm just
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: saying it's a strange thing, and I think you guys
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: should explore the fan fiction that I wrote that Riley.
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: Seems I stumbled upon it, you guys, happenstance. I found it.
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: Wait it does.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Check it out. It's all new.
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: Master sixty nine is the author that's been you all alone.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: The whole time.
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: I'm so mad that that isn't Deadpool. No, who is
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: that character in thora ragnn It doesn't matter.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. We digress.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: Stop now, Okay, do we have to pick one?
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: Is that we're picking language?
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: It sure does.
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: Rob would know.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: It, sure does. That thing kept running like a champ
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: after all they did.
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: Yeah, if you're fifty yards back, you know what I mean.
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: You don't know what's going on in that Honda right.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: Also a great callback because I think I'm pretty sure
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: in Logan it's Laura that punches him in the face
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: at one point, which is exactly what Deadpool does to
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: Wolverine in this, which is really fun. I'm pretty sure
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: that's a direct domatch. It's been a while since.
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: There's also I forget what it is, but there's a
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: direct homage in that first Void fight too. I think
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: it's like when Wolverine's fighting saber To. It's like an
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: old Wolverine fight and they do, oh.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: Yeah, what is it?
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: I'm forgetting what it is.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: It's the because they have like some repartee in one
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: of the movies where he's like, Hi, you gonna kill me?
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: I regenerate and he's like can you grow your head
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: back or whatever?
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: Basically, so there's like there's like a couple of choreography
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: beats that are like almost perfectly replicated in that too.
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: I love little things like that.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: It's really fun.
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: Yep ye.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: But speaking of some clucks, let's get right into our
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: favorite quotes. It's time to show me the money.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Show show me. Also a reminder to myself. I think
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I still have it. Maybe we should do the language
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: for the clucks in this one. Oh yeah, Steve.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: Ros Marble, that's the audio Blitzer.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Or or Bukes in the future.
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: Cut this out if you don't want to do that,
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: and then no one will ever know.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: I love that. Did you write down any quotes, buddy?
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: I mean I wrote down a few quotes, you guys.
- 1:09:18Speaker 5: I don't know how to narrow it down. There's so many,
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: do we need a limit on the number that we.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Say, just start off with like five, and then we'll
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: keep you.
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: I literally bolded five my top say all of those okay,
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: number one. I laughed out loud so hard at this,
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: you guys, And it was like a little quiet moment,
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: like because it's right early on in the movie and
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: Deadpool goes, there's two hundred and six bones in the
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: human body, two hundred and seven. If I'm watching Gossip Girl,
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: I laughed so loud, you guys, like like a like
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: so loud in the theater. It was embarrassing.
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: And that's because she's in that his wife a major
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: So I did not get that.
- 1:10:01Speaker 5: She's a major role in Gossip Girl, like one of
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: the main four or five. That was her big that's
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: her moment. Yeah, so that one got me good, hilarious.
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: I loved These are in no particular order. I also
- 1:10:18Speaker 5: laughed so loud at mister Wilson, you appeared to have
- 1:10:21Speaker 5: soilered yourself while unconscious. I wasn't unconscious. And then he goes,
- 1:10:26Speaker 5: just doesn't.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: That specific like set up for jokes. He's so good
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: at that.
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: A little fun hilarious quip and then directly into whatever else.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: He has to say.
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: It's so quick, so funny. And then when I don't
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: remember when this one takes place, but they they had
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: this in a in a trailer as well, and then
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: there's funny stuff about Kevin Figy related to this, but
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: it's the is that supposed to be scary. Peggy isn't
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: new for me, friend though, but it is for Disney
- 1:10:55Speaker 5: direct eyes at camera and in an interview, Kevin fig
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: had to be like, yeah, I had to explain to
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: like a board of execs what pegging was for them
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: to understand that. He's like, that was an uncomfortable meeting.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: In a board of execs, and one guy who was
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: panicked also acting like he didn't know what it meant.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: That's what that. Heavens, I didn't know what that was either.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, we called that Tuesdays.
- 1:11:25Speaker 5: Yeah, we call that Tuesdays. Also the through line where
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: it's referenced a couple of times, but the I am
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: the Messiah, I am marvel Jesus, marvel Us, and then
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: later on he's Risen baby girl, and then language like
- 1:11:44Speaker 5: just so so great that you know the bookends of that,
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: and then he.
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: Calls himself like Marvel h Christ or something.
- 1:11:55Speaker 5: Exactly so good, and then another one, my last one
- 1:12:02Speaker 5: before we I pass it off, and then there's so
- 1:12:04Speaker 5: many more we could say. Is the uh when he's
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: talking to Gambit, I'm sorry, beautiful, I'm trying to be
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: gentle here, but who's your dialect coach? The minions?
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Oh so great.
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: I feel like we're missing I feel like we're missing
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: important exposition here. So he breaks the fourth wall. Also classic,
- 1:12:22Speaker 5: so delightful in multiple ways because it is that like
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: that Louisiana Bayou accent is hard as hell to understand,
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: and it's such a good and we've never heard Channing
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: talk like that, and he's really laying it thick and
- 1:12:39Speaker 5: it's just so good. So yeah, I love that.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Those are all great. I had all those a few more.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: Welcome to the MCU. You're joining at a bit of
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: a low point. You would reference that earlier. Not wrong,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: not wrong, dude, And it was in all the trailers.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: But honestly, when we see the big ant man skull,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: so good, Paul finally aged, I mean, that is the
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: perfect thing.
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: Because it's so it's meta in so many ways it
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: references the actor who plays him, and it references a
- 1:13:17Speaker 5: like myth about that real human in our world and
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: how he never looks like he's getting older. It's just
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: such a brilliant bit of writing.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Yes, I loved that's Wolverine. You damn straight it is.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: Disney brought him back. They're going to make him do
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: this till he's ninety.
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: Then he says it again in his ear later he's like,
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: till you're ninety.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Yeah, the sucking Fox, I'm going to Disneyland.
- 1:13:46Speaker 5: So good And at that point, at that point, we
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: still think that they're going to drag Fox the whole time.
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: Like you said, bugs, we're under this impression that this
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: is a middle finger to Fox, and then they subvert
- 1:13:58Speaker 5: our expectations.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Right. And on that same line, just I can't do
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: an Australian accent. But the good day, mate, there's nothing
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: that will bring me back to life faster than a
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: big bag of Marvel cash. So it's a big bag
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: of Marvel cash. That's so good. Why don't you say
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: some bugs?
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: Uh, maybe my favorite because I have a deep affinity
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: for the Blade movies, but.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Some of the trying to ice skate up Hill.
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: Dude, so we you know, Wesley was so stoked to
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: be bad.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Also, he says at one point the like the.
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: I never thought you never liked you? Yeah, or I
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: never liked you and he's like I know or yeah
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: yea reference to the beef the supposed He says, I
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: don't like you and he's like, you never did.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: I never did. They had beef on the Blade.
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, which we'll talk about trivia if you guys
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: do Trinity, I have, I have thoughts about that.
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: So I loved nice Pool so much too, like so funny.
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: The Canadian guy basically so good. But he's like I
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: can gently touch the fourth wall to the proposal.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: That's what you think I do good? Or just when
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: he's like what, he's like, why don't you have a mask?
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: He just like justin to his face. So good. And
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: of course he.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: Doesn't have superpowers because that's why he's ugly, like so.
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: Yeah, he doesn't regenerate and he doesn't break the four either.
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: He's just deadpool light. You know what I mean?
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: You love that proposal one god, I love so much,
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: so funny when he's talking to Happy also shout out
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: to Happy.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: That's like that tie but when.
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: He's like, you know, me and the Avengers blah blah,
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: He's like, I'm sorry, are you an ave Avenger? What's
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: your superpower? Is it parallel parking? I'm so sorry. I'm like, yeah,
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: he was trying to like impress him, and he still
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: rips it.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: Yeah, he has to apologize for his behavior.
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: And then he's like, well, Avengers adjacent and like, my god,
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: so good.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Rejection makes me angry or whatever. So funny.
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: Look, I'm not a man of science, but you seem
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: incredibly passed away.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: I love that so much.
- 1:16:28Speaker 5: So you got a leg up on these because you
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: saw it three times. I was just desperately the internet
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: for these ones.
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: When they're talking with like the legacy characters Electra on
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: them and they're like Taredevil and like she's just like
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: he's dead. He's like I'm so sorry, and she's like.
- 1:16:46Speaker 5: It's okay, it's okay, just.
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: A gentle dig at her ex husband, which I thought
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: was that got a huge laugh in my theater, like
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: the well More the first night. The first night I
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: went was opening night, so that was like the much
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: more raucous audience.
- 1:17:02Speaker 5: Which that got a good chuckle in ours, as well, yeah.
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: I love the baby knife thing that kept coming in
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: and out was so fun baby knife. When he goes
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: into we see Wolverine in that badass brown costume which
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: John Byron. Yeah, I loved that so much. And then
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: he does like that, brings out his claws and shows
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: the Hulk for just the hot second and we get
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: the the like line that is the same as Lokies
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: where he's like, I'm Marvel, Jesus, you dull creature and
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: you and then he just gets hammered into the roots.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: Yeah, so funny. I love that so much.
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: I didn't lie. I made an educated wish. Is just
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: like such a lovely line.
- 1:17:48Speaker 5: Yeah, so si and the Wolverine's disbelief, and then that
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: they bring that back up a few more times as
- 1:17:53Speaker 5: it goes on.
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: You know, this is for sure one that I would
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: not have got had I only watched it once. But
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: it made me lap so hard the second time I
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: watched it. He's got the dog and he's like, we're
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: gonna run away, and he turns around to run and
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: then immediately stops.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: He's like the was too dense. Girl. I'm sorry, dude,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: I die.
- 1:18:14Speaker 5: I laughed so hard at that line the first time around,
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: and nobody else really like got it or laughed, and
- 1:18:19Speaker 5: I was like having to stifle myself because dying.
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: Oh, it was so funny.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Why don't you say some more? Yeah, say some more?
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: One that got me? That was like it was like
- 1:18:30Speaker 5: almost like a sad twinge, but it was like a
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: ooh because Hugh would have had to sign off on this.
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: He goes he's usually shirtless, but he let himself go.
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: Since the divorce, that was so brutal, you guys, because
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: what a sad thing, because Hugh and his ex were
- 1:18:46Speaker 5: together for so long and it was such a good relations.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Divorced.
- 1:18:51Speaker 5: Yeah, they divorced a few years ago. And who was it?
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: Who was she?
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: She was maybe a producer, She wasn't an actress. She
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: was a very sort of like I don't mean this
- 1:19:01Speaker 5: in a rude way, like a normal person. Yeah, and
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: they shared this like wonderful relationship. Funnily enough, I heard
- 1:19:09Speaker 5: I saw trivia that she actually advised you against taking
- 1:19:12Speaker 5: the role of Logan initially an X men glad listen
- 1:19:16Speaker 5: to her then. But that was like such a dig
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: line that you know, Hugh had to be like, yeah,
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: we'll go there, because that's good.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: Fine.
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: This one was in the trailers, kind of like the
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: the ant Man one, but the oh whiskey dick of
- 1:19:29Speaker 5: the clause, it's quite common. Wolverine's over forty. It was
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: so good. And then again when he has the gun
- 1:19:36Speaker 5: on his head, he's unless you want to take a
- 1:19:38Speaker 5: deep breath through your forehead, I suggest you reconsider. I'm
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: just like, that is such a cold line, you know
- 1:19:45Speaker 5: what I mean, because he's like, that's a serious moment
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: for Wade, and that when he says that he's not
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: like goofing around. Gambit had that great line I didn't
- 1:19:56Speaker 5: know my daddy, but I'm sure I shot out of
- 1:19:58Speaker 5: it already Jesus language graphic.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Yeah, even it was too much for too much for dead.
- 1:20:06Speaker 5: Yeah. And then similarly they called me the Gambit. You sure,
- 1:20:11Speaker 5: you just really really want them to, but it never
- 1:20:13Speaker 5: really quite worked out. That's the reference at the you know,
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: the production hell that deadpolls a little mini monologue to
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: cavil Reen. You know you look a little bit like Henry.
- 1:20:28Speaker 5: Oh my language the Cavaline, The legends are true, and
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: then we get the dig at d C. Well, treat
- 1:20:33Speaker 5: you so much better than those language lang just like
- 1:20:38Speaker 5: so good, and then again we get the the arm
- 1:20:40Speaker 5: cocking and punches them through the thing. I don't want
- 1:20:45Speaker 5: to read the whole monologue that Wolverine does, but we've
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: said it before. Look it up if you want to
- 1:20:50Speaker 5: read it.
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: It's so good.
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: And then at the end he's got nothing to say
- 1:20:54Speaker 5: mouth mouth mouth, like the murk with the mouth. You
- 1:20:57Speaker 5: get that reference. It's super so good. This one is borderline.
- 1:21:06Speaker 5: It's hard to say. But never thought i'd see you again.
- 1:21:09Speaker 5: I thought you were retired. And then he goes language retired, Jess.
- 1:21:12Speaker 5: I already got sent to the void. I don't want
- 1:21:14Speaker 5: to get canceled again. And then the I don't like you,
- 1:21:17Speaker 5: Yeah you never did. That's all that one long sequence
- 1:21:20Speaker 5: between him and Wesley.
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: I don't know why they did that. That didn't even
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: seem like it needed to be in there. I don't
- 1:21:27Speaker 4: I didn't really get that joke, like it was fine,
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: well because.
- 1:21:30Speaker 5: Like, yeah, I think they're trying to dig at Wesley
- 1:21:32Speaker 5: because he's been like off screen for a long time
- 1:21:34Speaker 5: and he kind of came back for this, you know.
- 1:21:36Speaker 5: And then they have this, they have this notorious thing,
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: and I'm like, they went there with it, and it
- 1:21:41Speaker 5: was like it provided a funny like chuckle.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: Yeah, that one was just weird to me. I don't
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: know why.
- 1:21:49Speaker 5: There's the they call me the Mark with the mouth,
- 1:21:51Speaker 5: not Timmy the truth telling blowjob queen. That was a
- 1:21:53Speaker 5: great one too. And then a great like almost trivia
- 1:21:59Speaker 5: level one was the power of the Marvel Universe is
- 1:22:02Speaker 5: about to change forever. You guys know what that's a
- 1:22:05Speaker 5: reference to. Do you see that in the trivy or anything.
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: They're making fun of Duane Johnson for his comments about
- 1:22:12Speaker 5: Black Adam and the DC universe. Oh boy, he came
- 1:22:16Speaker 5: out swinging hard on Twitter.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: How about that?
- 1:22:19Speaker 5: He No, he came out on Twitter and was like
- 1:22:21Speaker 5: the the what did you say? The eCos something some
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: super like, you know, tacky sort of thing about how
- 1:22:28Speaker 5: the pecking order is going to change in the DC
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: hierarchy or something like that. So that was like a
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: fun little dig at well he's right.
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: They started they restarted everything change the uh, the whole
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: cocaine back and forth with mind out, ending with do
- 1:22:46Speaker 6: you want to build a snowman?
- 1:22:48Speaker 5: Yes? But I can't.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: Yeah. I loved I loved when she's like, I wish
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: fire would find your body and finish the job God
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: was too afraid to do. And he says, if you
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: could hear you're the look on my face, you'd smell
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: how sad I am? Yeah, so great, so great.
- 1:23:06Speaker 5: It's always been good in every movie, just roasting each other. Yeah.
- 1:23:10Speaker 5: And then possibly the funniest line to finish off my
- 1:23:13Speaker 5: list that Cassandra Nova says, well, I flick my bean
- 1:23:17Speaker 5: to the eny box set.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: That was so funny. I was like, oh my.
- 1:23:22Speaker 5: God, yeah, my god, so dirty.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: It was very dirty.
- 1:23:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: Anyways, another dirty one. Uh B fifteen says I'm going
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: to show you something, something huge, and he says that's
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: what Scoutmester Kevin used to say.
- 1:23:38Speaker 5: Dude, right, still so bad.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: Also, can we talk about Peter's line when he's like,
- 1:23:44Speaker 4: I have a friend who got both of his nipples
- 1:23:46Speaker 4: pierced and then connected with his piercing down there with
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: the chain and then like in the next scene he
- 1:23:52Speaker 4: shows to pull it. He's like, he's like whoa, and
- 1:23:58Speaker 4: he's like, no, that's part of the fun.
- 1:23:59Speaker 5: That's Peter's a little kinky, you guys.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: Yeah, big time. God, it's so funny.
- 1:24:05Speaker 5: Oh my god. Uh.
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: Also, after we didn't say this, but when Chris Evans
- 1:24:12Speaker 4: as the Human Torch gets like emulsified basically, which is
- 1:24:20Speaker 4: amazing in that scene and so crazy cool, but also
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: just like Wolverine immediately goes you stupid piece you just
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: got him playing, and he's like, hey, we're all grieving.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: He has you know what he was doing to the budget.
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: I loved that line, so yeah, sod.
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: All grieving the most sassy and metaphorth Wally response that
- 1:24:42Speaker 5: it could have been so good and then and then
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: it comes full circle with that ending bit at the
- 1:24:47Speaker 5: very end, and yes, I.
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: Love that so much, that whole it's probably the best,
- 1:24:54Speaker 4: like it's the best like trailer thing that didn't that
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: does actually affect anything, right, Yeah, it's so funny.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: I love that he just goes off. That's so good.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: I think we might said the a little bit, you know,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: not just super funny, but whoever you think I am,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: you got the wrong guy And she says you were
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: always the wrong guy until you weren't, yes, which I
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: thought was pretty great.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: And then Wolverine's line when he's like he would have
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: torn a hole in the universe to come and find
- 1:25:35Speaker 4: you when he's talking to to Cassandra.
- 1:25:39Speaker 5: Because he knew Charles that he would have loved them.
- 1:25:41Speaker 4: Too, Like if he'd have known you were alive, nothing
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: would have stopped him from coming.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: And it was just like, damn, that's awesome. That's awesome.
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: So I need a Professor X in the Marvel universe.
- 1:25:53Speaker 5: Against Yeah, we'll get there after the multiverse saga. I
- 1:25:57Speaker 5: guarantee we go hard into the X Men world. Sure
- 1:26:02Speaker 5: to cap it off, to cap it off, let's language,
- 1:26:06Speaker 5: I mean, oh, yeah, that's good, so great, little just
- 1:26:10Speaker 5: three words is all you need. And it's just the
- 1:26:13Speaker 5: hype city, dude.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: It it might have led to some very good segue, sir.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Let's go to the crying game bugs boohoo moments. Oh,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: strong men also cry. Strong men also cry. So I
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: had four when we were talking in there, I added
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: a fifth one, and now it makes me wonder if
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: I should add a hype tier for six. But we'll
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: we'll get to that. I'm going to say five. Okay,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: there's probably way more. Riley, I only got to see
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: this one time, so you didn't know.
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: I saw it every second, right every night, so there's
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: probably it's probably going to be triple this.
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: But anyway, the ones that I.
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: Wrote down, I'm racking the logan X.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Twenty three conversation. I got to have a life because
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: of you.
- 1:27:08Speaker 4: Yeah, all that amazing.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: For the first time in my life. I'm proud to
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: wear this suit. I can be X man. Oh love it.
- 1:27:20Speaker 4: And he starts that out by being like, Scott used
- 1:27:23Speaker 4: to bang me to wear it, you know, just like.
- 1:27:25Speaker 5: Yeah, he says by Scott, storm and beast, and you're like, oh, man,
- 1:27:28Speaker 5: he loves all of his friends.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Now this one, because Marina backround wasn't a big
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: part of this. I didn't know for sure, but after
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: everything's all done, he's like, I did it for you,
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: even if you don't want me, I did it for.
- 1:27:41Speaker 4: You for sure.
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, absolutely, And I didn't know if you'd still
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: be bahooing, But I thought the bts of the old
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: X Men films deserved its own bohoo.
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: Yes, that entire montage at the end of I I behood.
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: I behood during that part, you know what I mean?
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: Like this? Yeah? Great. The fifth one that I added
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: when you were talking was just the he would have
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: torn a hole in the universe to find you if
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: he knew, yes, and that maybe the hype tears that
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Riley was talking maybe maybe we'll say that for six Yeah,
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: which one was that? Just when he's like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: ye team up.
- 1:28:29Speaker 5: And you can even extend that potentially for hype tiers.
- 1:28:32Speaker 5: When he finally puts that mask on, right.
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, Although I thought that looked a little goofy.
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: It was a little goofy.
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: It was a little goofy, but it was also very necessary.
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: Why didn't they just give him a physical mask to wear?
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: Why did they see gie that?
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: Well, he pulls it up. He pulls it up, you know,
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: so they have to I bet he was wearing it
- 1:28:54Speaker 5: after the first you know, putting it on their eyes.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: Were they look all weird? I hated it.
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: It was interesting, but I think it played into the
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: fan service of needing to see the mask.
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: You know, I love that outfit, so I'm.
- 1:29:07Speaker 5: Hand it leaned into a scene that we didn't talk
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: about at all, which was when and maybe this also
- 1:29:14Speaker 5: could potentially link into a Booho adjacent moment when they
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: are working together to connect the antimatter.
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: And matter and Madonna in the background.
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: With Madonna in the background, but it's just like it's
- 1:29:28Speaker 5: this like Bros. Brown out moment, you know what I mean.
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: And then we get the shirt disintegrating and the look
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: at the abs and.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: Put those creasy tits away, put this.
- 1:29:38Speaker 5: Crazy tits away. A bit of trivia. Those were Hugh
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: Jackman's real abs, you guys.
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: He got that fifty or something.
- 1:29:48Speaker 5: He's forty forty eight or something like that.
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, maybe I'll look like that one forty that
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: hasn't happened yet.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: That's the trick.
- 1:29:59Speaker 5: Just just got to wait and till you're fifty.
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: Is that how that works?
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: Okay? Cool?
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: With the flashback to when is he watching that? Is
- 1:30:07Speaker 5: it in the TVA when he sees uh, Wolverine and
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: Laura from Logan that is that? What that counts?
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: Feels like? God?
- 1:30:18Speaker 5: Is that count?
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: Is that?
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: Can I toss that in there for sure?
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: Okay? Uh.
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: We also didn't talk about Deadpool apparently dying in Thor's
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: arms at all, which was a hilarious little crying which
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: I think is still crying.
- 1:30:34Speaker 4: I think they replaced Natalie Portman with Deadpool in that scene.
- 1:30:37Speaker 5: Or it could have been from it could have been
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: Dark World. In Dark World, I think, but Loki Loki
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: fakes from him again. Yeah, they add they add like
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: a scar on his eye to make him look a
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: little different. But I think you're right. I think that
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: they recycled car.
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: We're going to see that in Secret Wars.
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: Somehowers might Hemsworth says he didn't know that he was
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: in the movies, but he could be lying through his teeth,
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: you know, you never know.
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I love that.
- 1:31:03Speaker 5: That's all that I can think of as far as
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: other other Boohoo's eight so far or hype.
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: It Gets It gets weird. Okay, let's just go through these.
- 1:31:13Speaker 4: A lot of co mingling in this one, so it's hard. Uh,
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: hype tears. Chris Evans, I got this amazing ready for it?
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: Yeah, he loved it.
- 1:31:25Speaker 4: Also the second he said dick like I said, I
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: was like.
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: Oh my god, Yeah, Johnny story, this is the best.
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: Uh.
- 1:31:34Speaker 4: Wolverine and Deadpool their first fight in the Void also
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: hype Tier City because that was just dope. And they
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: even say like this is what people came for, let's
- 1:31:44Speaker 4: do it, you know, which I loved a lot.
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: When does dead Pool say get out your special sock, nerds,
- 1:31:49Speaker 5: there's that one.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, my.
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: Special sock is for hype tears? When when Wolverine Lego
- 1:31:58Speaker 4: lays into him. I believe I said her when he
- 1:32:00Speaker 4: undresses him about being a self important prick. Basically, I
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: love that when Wesley snipes Electra Gambit and X twenty
- 1:32:11Speaker 4: three a'll show up.
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: And the hype gotcha and this one didn't it?
- 1:32:15Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Like I said this three times, that usually doesn't.
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: You were always the wrong guy until you weren't. I
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: think counts with a different one because there's a lot
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: of stuff. But I loved that line so much.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: It was the part of that I got to have
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: a life because of you.
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: It was that same yeah, yeah, right right yep. So also,
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: you guys mentioned this, but that the choir singing the
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: reprise of like a Prayer just inject that.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: In my veins.
- 1:32:44Speaker 4: I loved that so much on every level possible.
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: And it felt it felt like they were I don't
- 1:32:51Speaker 5: know what that version is, if it's already a pre
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: existing thing or if it's unique to this movie, but
- 1:32:55Speaker 5: it felt like they were referencing The Greatest Showman a
- 1:32:58Speaker 5: bit from an arrangement stamp. It felt like it felt
- 1:33:01Speaker 5: like a musical number in the Greatest Showman, but it
- 1:33:04Speaker 5: was just reprising that same.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: It was definitely very vast and big and with you on.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: I think that's just the original version though they had
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: a big choir.
- 1:33:12Speaker 4: Is it really Yeah, yeah, I don't remember. I don't
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: know that song very well apparently, or at least that's
- 1:33:17Speaker 4: what I'm going to tell you. The dinner scene at
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: the end with everyone together and we see Lauren Logan
- 1:33:23Speaker 4: reunited and then he's like give me the dog and
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: talk to the girl and all that stuff.
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: I just loved that. That was wonderful. That was all
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: of them though.
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: Which I think it was fourteen or fifteen, Yeah, I
- 1:33:36Speaker 4: think I had twelve. But like again, they're well weird, yeah,
- 1:33:40Speaker 4: weird anyway, a lot not my best specials Okay movie
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: trivia trivia. James Mangol, the director and co writer of Logan,
- 1:33:54Speaker 4: was consulted on the script to ensure that it didn't
- 1:33:57Speaker 4: interfere with his film, and he was pleased that this
- 1:34:00Speaker 4: film would bring back the latter without interfering with the
- 1:34:03Speaker 4: ending of his film.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: So they like clearly Fikey and.
- 1:34:07Speaker 4: Everybody else really loved that that film as well, which
- 1:34:10Speaker 4: I thought was fun.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: I love that they referenced him in like a TVA
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: agent was like make it stop and he os a
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: mangole tried.
- 1:34:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: Yeah, so funny, loved it, loved it.
- 1:34:23Speaker 5: And again in that very first announcement with the two
- 1:34:26Speaker 5: of them on the couch, they promised they weren't going
- 1:34:28Speaker 5: to go back and erase any of the emotional damage
- 1:34:31Speaker 5: they did to us with logan, and they didn't lie.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: Yeah they did.
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: Also, I feel like it's important to say I don't
- 1:34:38Speaker 4: think I have specific trivia about it, but maybe we
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: should have known that this was going to be a
- 1:34:43Speaker 4: love letter to Fox because that's where Fikey got started
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: in the business. He helped work on all those old
- 1:34:50Speaker 4: Fox movies and in fact was there when Wolverine when
- 1:34:54Speaker 4: Jackman was cast as Wolverine initially and stuff.
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: So like he really does have linear with all.
- 1:35:00Speaker 4: These properties, right, so it kind of makes sense. But
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: I thought that was really fun. And if anyone is
- 1:35:06Speaker 4: super interested in this stuff, there is a book about
- 1:35:10Speaker 4: the MCU just about like kind of that business side
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: and goes into like Figy's life and stuff that's really interesting.
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: I don't I think it's just called MCU.
- 1:35:21Speaker 5: To me the link to it now, please.
- 1:35:24Speaker 4: Yeah, Actually, I could probably just bring you a copy
- 1:35:26Speaker 4: when I come see.
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: You do that and that sounds good, Have it.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: And read it at your leisure.
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: Hugh Jackman said he was on his way, just driving
- 1:35:34Speaker 4: along and literally, like a bolt of lightning, came to
- 1:35:37Speaker 4: this knowing deep in my gut that I wanted to
- 1:35:40Speaker 4: do this film with Ryan, for Deadpool and Wolverine to
- 1:35:43Speaker 4: come back together. I swear to you when I said
- 1:35:45Speaker 4: I was done, I really thought I was done. But
- 1:35:48Speaker 4: in the back of my head, ever since I saw
- 1:35:50Speaker 4: Deadpool one, I was like, these two characters together.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: I knew it. I knew the fans wanted it.
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: Ever since I put on the Claws, people talked about
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: these two, so that has always been there. But I
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: just knew, and I literally couldn't wait to arrive. So
- 1:36:04Speaker 4: as soon as I got there, I called Ryan and
- 1:36:07Speaker 4: I just said, let's do it. And then he says
- 1:36:09Speaker 4: I hadn't wrung my agent, no one else. In fact,
- 1:36:13Speaker 4: I had to call my agent afterward and say, by
- 1:36:15Speaker 4: the way, I just committed to a Marvel movie basically,
- 1:36:19Speaker 4: So I just thought that was super cool, like I
- 1:36:20Speaker 4: love it, and they I think Reynolds has said that before.
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: Like all of a sudden, he just got he'd been
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: trying to sell him on it, and he was kind
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: of like, nah, I don't know. It would be fun,
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: but I don't know. And then all of a sudden
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: he was just like, no, I'm in, let's go. I'm ready,
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: which is so cool.
- 1:36:36Speaker 5: Well, because he said I saw in a separate sort
- 1:36:38Speaker 5: of interview, he was like, he announced he was retiring,
- 1:36:42Speaker 5: and then and then the the in the first Deadpool
- 1:36:46Speaker 5: trailer released two days three days later or something after
- 1:36:49Speaker 5: he announced it, and he was like, damn it, Well
- 1:36:52Speaker 5: it's got to be.
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: Hard on his body. I mean, I mean crazy. Reynolds
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: said that he and the make purposefully asked for a
- 1:37:01Speaker 4: lower budget than Disney was prepared to offer them, remembering
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: that the first Deadpool in twenty sixteen was such a
- 1:37:06Speaker 4: success because they had the constant time and budget limitations,
- 1:37:10Speaker 4: which fostered an atmosphere of greater creativity.
- 1:37:13Speaker 5: I really like, yeah, that was very important. Like I guess,
- 1:37:17Speaker 5: like we said, the grounded, character driven conversations and not
- 1:37:20Speaker 5: just spectacle after spectacle.
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: Agreed. Agreed.
- 1:37:24Speaker 4: Peggy was Britain's ugliest dog and this was her Hollywood debut.
- 1:37:29Speaker 5: So get it, beautiful, get it girl.
- 1:37:32Speaker 4: She's gorgeous and perfect and we must protect her with
- 1:37:35Speaker 4: our lives. It was a big deal to get to
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: the rights to use Madonna's Like a Prayer, as apparently
- 1:37:42Speaker 4: she doesn't license her songs very often, especially that particular one.
- 1:37:46Speaker 4: Ryan Reynolds and director Sean Levy had to pay her
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: a personal visit to show her the sequence it was
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: being used in and explain why, and according to them,
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: it helped that her son was a huge fan of Deadpool,
- 1:37:58Speaker 4: and during the meet apparently Madonna all like gave them permission,
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: but also suggested a change to make the sequence better,
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: and it was so good that they decided to shoot
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: it again within seventy two hours of that meeting. Reynolds
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: called the experience one of the great thrills.
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: Of my life.
- 1:38:15Speaker 4: So that sounds like it was so cool and really neat.
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: This is the first R rated movie directly distributed under
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: Walt Disney Studio Motion Pictures, as opposed to one of
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: its banners, I e. Touchstone and things hard.
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: Very hard.
- 1:38:33Speaker 5: I come home from we come home watching it, and
- 1:38:35Speaker 5: Ruin's like, when do I get to watch that one?
- 1:38:37Speaker 5: Because we're like watching the MCU movies right now. We're
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: through the Infinity Saga and I'm like.
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: Probably when you can drive yourself to the theater a really.
- 1:38:45Speaker 5: Long time, but a really long time, I'm so sorry
- 1:38:48Speaker 5: to say.
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: Although it was meant for audience seventeen and over, but
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: Reynolds admitted that he showed the movie to his nine
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: year old daughter and seventy year old grandmother or mother
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: and they both loved it.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: So there's that.
- 1:39:01Speaker 5: Oh okay, so next year for Rowing then, yeah, just
- 1:39:04Speaker 5: hiddingh Uh.
- 1:39:08Speaker 4: This is kind of a sad one, but I didn't
- 1:39:09Speaker 4: think it was cool. A young man named j Fear
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: uh was is or was a terminally ill forty five
- 1:39:17Speaker 4: year old Wrexham FC fan, which is the club that
- 1:39:20Speaker 4: Ryan Reynold co owns in Wales. Uh, and we got
- 1:39:24Speaker 4: to see, by the way, the Wrexham outfit as one
- 1:39:28Speaker 4: of the Deadpools in the group Deadpool.
- 1:39:30Speaker 5: Which is Welshpool, Welsh Pool.
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: Welsh Pool, yes, cee ce see. And I think it's
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: one of the players, right, is it. Yeah, Yeah, that's cool.
- 1:39:38Speaker 4: I didn't I mean, nobody knew that at the time,
- 1:39:40Speaker 4: of course, but but yeah, basically they had a meeting
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: with this J Fear and uh, one of at this meeting,
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: he gave one of the gloves from his Deadpool costume
- 1:39:51Speaker 4: and a raised for him to arrange for him to
- 1:39:53Speaker 4: visit the Deadpool and Wolverine film set at Pinewood Studios.
- 1:39:58Speaker 4: Uh he, mister fear It passed away the following month,
- 1:40:01Speaker 4: but Reynolds posted a really heartfelt tribute to him, and
- 1:40:04Speaker 4: I just thought that was nice and yeah, a cool
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: way that they can. You know, these films mean things
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: to people, even if it's just a getaway from their
- 1:40:12Speaker 4: regular stupid lives. Right, There's an ad on the bus
- 1:40:17Speaker 4: that reads your friendly neighborhood cleaners stan Lee Steamer and
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: it's a nod to stan Lee and comes with a
- 1:40:23Speaker 4: picture of him. So I thought that was a neat
- 1:40:25Speaker 4: way of including.
- 1:40:26Speaker 5: That you're still getting them. Stan Lee cameos in there.
- 1:40:30Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, drug overt drug usage was explicitly forbidden to
- 1:40:36Speaker 4: be depicted in the movie, so that was like a
- 1:40:38Speaker 4: real thing.
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: But yeah, which is pretty funny.
- 1:40:40Speaker 5: Which leads to that hilarious sequence of dialogue that they're
- 1:40:43Speaker 5: they're at least going to make fun of the fact
- 1:40:45Speaker 5: that they can't have a drugs in the movie.
- 1:40:47Speaker 4: Totally, which is so great and maybe even better I
- 1:40:51Speaker 4: don't know. Apparently, during the film's early development, several of
- 1:40:57Speaker 4: the actors, including Jackman himself, wanted to have their characters
- 1:41:00Speaker 4: also break the fourth wall alongside Deadpool for comedic reasons,
- 1:41:06Speaker 4: but Ryan Reynolds shut this down pretty early, I guess,
- 1:41:09Speaker 4: as he felt that having anyone who wasn't the title
- 1:41:11Speaker 4: character making self for where jokes would make him less distinct.
- 1:41:15Speaker 4: And it's such like a Deadpool specific.
- 1:41:18Speaker 5: Thing that's in the literal comic panels, like you know
- 1:41:21Speaker 5: what I mean.
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: It's right, it's the right move. Yeah, if everyone's doing it,
- 1:41:25Speaker 4: it's maybe not as great.
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: Right, Let's see.
- 1:41:29Speaker 4: Oh, I thought this was crazy. So Reynolds gets a
- 1:41:31Speaker 4: writing credit right for this movie, but this was filming
- 1:41:35Speaker 4: during the writer guild strike, and so Reynolds was forbidden
- 1:41:39Speaker 4: from improvising dialogue because he gets a writing credit and
- 1:41:44Speaker 4: that would technically be going over the picket line. So
- 1:41:48Speaker 4: I thought that was really interesting. So most all of
- 1:41:51Speaker 4: this stuff was apparently already there. Granted he's helping write it,
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: so it's in his voice already, I suppose or whatever.
- 1:41:58Speaker 4: But he can write crazy.
- 1:42:00Speaker 5: He can write everything he wants to improvise, just write
- 1:42:03Speaker 5: it into the script and then then cut what doesn't
- 1:42:05Speaker 5: work later if it's too much.
- 1:42:07Speaker 4: So crazy that I thought that was super interesting. Apparently
- 1:42:13Speaker 4: he had a really strange idea to release this as
- 1:42:18Speaker 4: an intentionally bad fake movie called Alpha Cop guys who
- 1:42:22Speaker 4: share one brain and together make the perfect Cop. He
- 1:42:27Speaker 4: even had a poster commissioned with the tagline two cops,
- 1:42:30Speaker 4: one brain, all balls, and their plan was to have
- 1:42:35Speaker 4: five minutes.
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: Me too. I was like, I would watch that, I
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: watch it.
- 1:42:40Speaker 4: I'm in uh, And they were gonna have five minutes
- 1:42:43Speaker 4: of this movie and just like play it straight for
- 1:42:45Speaker 4: a minute.
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: And then have the marveling Marble opening credits and all that.
- 1:42:49Speaker 5: But that's just funny idea, and we'd all be going,
- 1:42:51Speaker 5: oh wait, does I want to watch that movie?
- 1:42:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, wait I'm interested. This might go into
- 1:42:59Speaker 4: what you were gonna say, Rob, so sorry, but Blake
- 1:43:02Speaker 4: Lively is Lady Pool, and then Inez and Olan Reynolds,
- 1:43:07Speaker 4: who are their kids, play Kidpool and baby Pool very cute,
- 1:43:12Speaker 4: so presumably Kidpool is the nine year old. And I
- 1:43:17Speaker 4: guess with what the lines that they give them, uh,
- 1:43:21Speaker 4: it makes sense to let them watch the movie. I
- 1:43:22Speaker 4: guess they're saying just as bad as stuff.
- 1:43:25Speaker 5: I think I couldn't corroborate this, but I saw that
- 1:43:27Speaker 5: their third kid, James, their daughter James does a is
- 1:43:32Speaker 5: credited as a screaming mutant at one point, so she does.
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: Oh, I guess I didn't know they had three.
- 1:43:39Speaker 5: And they've got James Inez and olint them and they
- 1:43:45Speaker 5: might actually have four kids. But I'm forgetting what the
- 1:43:47Speaker 5: other one's name is.
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: Yeah, good for them, they're beautiful. It makes sense.
- 1:43:55Speaker 4: That was all the trivia I had, Rob, What else
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: did you ye?
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: Just a couple of things Deadpool to director David Leitch Leech,
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: I think it's Leech actually, but it's l e I.
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: T H was approached to return for this movie, but
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: he had already committed to The Fall Guy. Oh okay,
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: And then we noticed that TJ. Miller does not appear
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: in this film. The reason for this because of a
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: feud between Miller and Ryan or Reynolds where they stated
- 1:44:24Speaker 1: they wouldn't be collaborating with each other again. And Miller
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: has found himself in some legal issues and allegations and has.
- 1:44:32Speaker 4: Been kind of went off the wall a little bit
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: too right, a little bit.
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he was getting canceled mildly.
- 1:44:43Speaker 4: Well, it didn't end well with Silicon Valley either. I
- 1:44:45Speaker 4: believe it's the rumor I heard at one point or another.
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but I think that was more just like
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: his attitude and oh okay, not so much.
- 1:44:54Speaker 4: Whatever the other stuff was, that's worse.
- 1:44:56Speaker 5: Okay, it seems like a bit of a challenge to
- 1:44:59Speaker 5: work with if.
- 1:45:01Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, comedians the something that was all I had?
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: Though? That was it nice? Riley?
- 1:45:08Speaker 4: Did you have any trivia that we didn't get to?
- 1:45:11Speaker 5: I think I kind of said the thing about the
- 1:45:13Speaker 5: like funny line referencing yeah, Dwayne Johnson's floaded comments. I
- 1:45:22Speaker 5: don't if I had had anything else, I forgot it.
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: So okay, that's fine. Well then let's move on to
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: Judgment Day. Will there be a sequel? I think I think, yeah,
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: it's gonna be Alpha Cop, right, you better get that
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: alta sure, two cops, one brain, all ball, all balls.
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: That sounds fun to me, I mean, and these two
- 1:45:46Speaker 4: clearly like working together, so it'll be great.
- 1:45:48Speaker 5: Well, they're like best buds in real life, and it's
- 1:45:52Speaker 5: like funny feud they had for a long time that
- 1:45:54Speaker 5: like was not real, you know, but like they to
- 1:45:59Speaker 5: the oh, I remembered my trivia. It's not trivia. It's
- 1:46:03Speaker 5: more of just like a funny thing that I noticed
- 1:46:05Speaker 5: while I was looking at the cast. Sure we mentioned
- 1:46:08Speaker 5: finally Happy's little you know, fun cameo as right that whatever,
- 1:46:13Speaker 5: he's his position, and we're assuming that's post end game, correct,
- 1:46:16Speaker 5: So like Tony's not around or is that pre Are
- 1:46:18Speaker 5: we what's the timeline there?
- 1:46:20Speaker 4: Because I was a little bit I'm not sure we know?
- 1:46:22Speaker 5: And also answer me this bugs three times watched it
- 1:46:26Speaker 5: is that Deadpool who's talking to Happy that's in six
- 1:46:31Speaker 5: one six?
- 1:46:31Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:46:31Speaker 5: Can we assume that's in sacred I.
- 1:46:34Speaker 4: Believe that is the subtitle we're given.
- 1:46:36Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and that's and then it was eight, and
- 1:46:39Speaker 5: then it goes eight years later and it's back in
- 1:46:41Speaker 5: like ten zero zero.
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: Ten zero zero five or something. Five.
- 1:46:45Speaker 5: Was the Deadpool talking to Happy? Was he our Deadpool
- 1:46:50Speaker 5: who was like using Cable's device to still like hop
- 1:46:53Speaker 5: universes and try to join the Avengers? Or was that
- 1:46:56Speaker 5: Are they implying that that's sacred timeline?
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: Deadpool?
- 1:46:59Speaker 5: Also, you know, was I was confused?
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:47:03Speaker 4: I think that is sacred timeline?
- 1:47:05Speaker 5: But there is a dead Pool in the Sacred Timeland
- 1:47:07Speaker 5: that we just haven't No, I'm.
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: Sorry, I think we're only with one Deadpool the whole time,
- 1:47:12Speaker 4: other than the variant.
- 1:47:14Speaker 5: That is that is ten zero zero five Deadpool.
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: I believe that is the case.
- 1:47:19Speaker 5: He probably uses Cable's device to jump and try and
- 1:47:21Speaker 5: join the Avengers, and then it's like eight years later
- 1:47:23Speaker 5: he's given up and he's working.
- 1:47:25Speaker 4: Correct, he goes back to his universe.
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: And just works at the Auto.
- 1:47:29Speaker 5: Funny thing about Jon Favreau that I just realized is
- 1:47:32Speaker 5: he was Foggy Nelson. Yeah, the old school Daredevil movie
- 1:47:37Speaker 5: with Ben affleck And and Jennifer Jennifer Garner and stuff.
- 1:47:43Speaker 5: And that hit me like a ton of bricks. When
- 1:47:46Speaker 5: I saw that. I was like, oh my gosh, he
- 1:47:47Speaker 5: totally was, because I love the Netflix Daredevil and Charlie
- 1:47:51Speaker 5: Cox and so yeah, thinking Foggy, Who's Foggy? And then
- 1:47:55Speaker 5: it clicked and I was cracking up.
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: When I saw that.
- 1:47:57Speaker 5: That's not like trip yeah, but just a fun thing
- 1:47:59Speaker 5: I noticed, you know, sure there.
- 1:48:01Speaker 4: Was trivia on that scene though, because they cut to
- 1:48:03Speaker 4: a picture that is obviously Tony and Peter Parker, and
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: Peter is covered by the by like a piece of
- 1:48:12Speaker 4: I don't know, a trophy or something else. So also
- 1:48:15Speaker 4: kind of you know, passing on the like no one
- 1:48:17Speaker 4: knows who Peter is in this universe, which I thought
- 1:48:21Speaker 4: was really fir.
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: That's super clever.
- 1:48:22Speaker 5: I didn't even.
- 1:48:24Speaker 4: Yeah, they have like a cup in front of him
- 1:48:25Speaker 4: or something.
- 1:48:26Speaker 5: So it seems like it is post end Game. It's
- 1:48:28Speaker 5: post Spider Man No Way Home vibes.
- 1:48:31Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, but yes, Judgment Day. I think every single
- 1:48:37Speaker 4: damn near every character we've seen here will show up
- 1:48:40Speaker 4: again in Secret Wars I.
- 1:48:41Speaker 5: And they literally they keep Logan and X twenty three.
- 1:48:44Speaker 5: He like he you know, pleads with the TVA with
- 1:48:47Speaker 5: B fifteen to like take them out of the voy,
- 1:48:50Speaker 5: to leave them, you know, in his universe. So yeah,
- 1:48:55Speaker 5: we're certainly will we get a proper sequel. I think
- 1:48:58Speaker 5: there's too many other movies, but we're going to see
- 1:49:00Speaker 5: them all again. Yeah, they're making it into the Secret
- 1:49:03Speaker 5: Wars for sure.
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: Noise, Well, do you guys want to.
- 1:49:07Speaker 5: Play a game?
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: Well, get ready, I made you a starting five. And
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: if you don't remember how this works, I'm going to
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: name my five favorite actors from a particular film. And
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: when you know the film you're going to ring in
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: with your name. If you get it wrong, there's no
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: negative points, but you won't be able to guess again
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: for that movie. If there actors' names remaining, you can
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: guess those for a point each. If you get any
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: of those wrong, the other person can steal. And all
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: of these films have something in common. When you know
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: the theme, you can ring in at anytime for a point. Okay,
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: do we feel good about it?
- 1:49:47Speaker 5: Was it last time?
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: That?
- 1:49:48Speaker 5: Was it last time we did this? That you snuck
- 1:49:51Speaker 5: back and just absolutely demolished me in the he did?
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: He did?
- 1:49:56Speaker 5: Yeah, you just smoked me in the last stretch there.
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: Yeah, you were way ahead and then he Yeah, I
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: think that definitely happened. Let's see how you guys doing this.
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: Number one The first name Arnold Schwartzenegger, the second name
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: Alicia Silverstone, Eusus Batman, and Robin you got it scared.
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: I was one three names remaining. That was quicker than
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: I thought. Bad part. I don't know any of these people.
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: Uh uh? Four Clooney, yes, alive.
- 1:50:49Speaker 4: Four, I don't remember the other dude's name.
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: One more. Five I'm a thermo. Yeah you got that.
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: I'd say done. I remember one person remaining, Riley, and
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: it is.
- 1:51:05Speaker 5: It is Chris O'Donnell Boom.
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: Riley's on the board with one. He's got Clooney, Thurman,
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: Batman and Robin for three points. I'll take that. I'll
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: take that. Nicely done. Let's go to number two. The
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: first name is Gal Gadom, the second name Jordana Brewster,
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: the third name Michelle Rodriguez Riley Fast and Furious Boom.
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: Riley got it. Two names remaining.
- 1:51:49Speaker 5: Before I do the two names, can I say what
- 1:51:51Speaker 5: I think the theme is?
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: Yes, you can go for.
- 1:51:56Speaker 5: A title with an ampersand it is.
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: It's an Amberson and nicely done. Yes, because this yep, okay, yep,
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: so you're very good.
- 1:52:07Speaker 5: Okay, so how many left do I have?
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: You have two left? So Vindy you already have Vindy.
- 1:52:13Speaker 5: So yes, risking for the biscuit.
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: Paul Walker, Paul Walker.
- 1:52:17Speaker 5: I was like, is this before?
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: So he got Paul so Fast and Furious and the
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: theme for yes, damn, damn, that was very good. And
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: it's just blank ampersand blank. So it's not like, yeah,
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: a long title.
- 1:52:36Speaker 5: It's like a short ampercented ye blank And I actually
- 1:52:41Speaker 5: literally thought it was. I thought it was that right
- 1:52:43Speaker 5: off the bat because I was a millisecond later with
- 1:52:46Speaker 5: Batman and Robin and I was like, I'm not going
- 1:52:49Speaker 5: to go in on it yet because it could be
- 1:52:50Speaker 5: something else but animal.
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: But there's a there's a lot of blank ampersand blanks right.
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: I can't think right now, we'll get ready. These next
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: These next ones are hard. I was like, oh, it's
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: probably just the next one. No, it's it's all of
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: them next. So here we go. Number three. The first
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: name Christopher McDonald, who we know as Shooter McGavin in
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: Happy Gilmore, that actor. The second name is Michael Madson.

- 1:54:00Speaker 1: I think that's a good one. I haven't seen this
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: next one either. Let's see how number four goes. The
- 1:54:09Speaker 1: first name Carrie Mulligan.

- 1:54:44Speaker 4: Oh? I believe was that with Kira Knightley it was
- 1:54:48Speaker 4: two points for Bukes?
- 1:54:49Speaker 5: Good nice? Oh my god that.
- 1:54:54Speaker 4: I remember people saying that in when I was watching Succession,
- 1:54:58Speaker 4: because he's dude, whoever the heart throb is? I don't
- 1:55:02Speaker 4: he has a fun name. Mister something I've never read Pride.
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: Project mister big right. No, no, no, that's something else
- 1:55:09Speaker 1: kind of.
- 1:55:10Speaker 4: That's the updated Pride and Prejudice.

- 1:56:39Speaker 5: So yeah, that's a great I love those books. Yeah,
- 1:56:44Speaker 5: great books. And the couple of movies were quite good.
- 1:56:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:56:47Speaker 4: I liked all of them.
- 1:56:48Speaker 5: I think, yeah, I keep more because I love that
- 1:56:52Speaker 5: sort of like turn ledgious sort of concepts on their
- 1:56:56Speaker 5: on their tails, you know.
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: Totally where are we after five? Bukes? I have six?
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: Riley has five. Everybody's in it. Oh, it's close.
- 1:57:06Speaker 5: You came back. So you've you've been getting You've been

- 1:57:11Speaker 1: He's he's a trick I've always said that about Bukes, trickles,

- 1:57:24Speaker 1: what they do. Number six. The first name is Haley Bennett,
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: the second name is Kathleen Turner, the third name is
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: Alan Arkin Man. And I will be honest, I did
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: not know that those three people were in this movie.
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: You will know the next two people cool Jennifer Aniston
- 1:57:58Speaker 1: and Owen will Son. Five four three two one Pepepeep.
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: This was the novel that made everybody cry so much
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: they turned it into a movie called Marlee and Me
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: got Oh.
- 1:58:20Speaker 4: I never saw it. I was like, I can't.
- 1:58:22Speaker 5: I saw it, and I was a literal sopping mess
- 1:58:28Speaker 5: and then it was fun. Fun fact I watched it
- 1:58:31Speaker 5: when I was in college is when it came out,
- 1:58:33Speaker 5: and Jimmy and I were roommates at that point in
- 1:58:35Speaker 5: time in college. Anybody listening who knows Jimmy Bates doing
- 1:58:38Speaker 5: all the home free videos and stuff back in the day.
- 1:58:41Speaker 5: And I made Jimmy watch it with me, and then
- 1:58:43Speaker 5: he was a sopping, crying mess. So it was just
- 1:58:47Speaker 5: who bros in my in my basement bedroom watching Marley
- 1:58:50Speaker 5: and Me crying our eyes out for sure.
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: Yeah that sounds like I just hung out with Jimmy
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: this very week. Yeah, I saw him yesterday.
- 1:58:58Speaker 4: Man, lucky.
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: All right, nobody got that one. Let's go to number seven.
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: The first name is Jane Lynch Ooh.
- 1:59:09Speaker 5: Treasure, love her, true Treasure.
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: The second name is Christmas Cina. A lot of people
- 1:59:17Speaker 1: don't know his name, you know his face. He's been
- 1:59:20Speaker 1: in a lot of things. The third name is the
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: Tucca himself, Stanley Tucci. Number four, Amy Adams.
- 1:59:37Speaker 5: God sucking in.
- 1:59:39Speaker 1: The fifth and final name Meryl Streep, Oh Bukes, bukes Uh,
- 1:59:48Speaker 1: I think it's Julie and Julia. It is Julie and Julia. Okay,
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: I can't remember which order it was in. You got
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: the right order the Chef movie, Yep, Julia. Actually, it
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: wears a good movie. I like that. I don't. I
- 2:00:03Speaker 1: wouldn't have got its Meryl Streep either, if that makes
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: you guys feel any better?
- 2:00:06Speaker 5: Like Devil wears En Prada, I don't.
- 2:00:09Speaker 1: Know, Princess and Diaries. No, damn it. All right, let's
- 2:00:15Speaker 1: go to number eight. The first name is Jason Bateman. Oh.
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: The second name is Vince Vaughn. Oh. Number three snoop
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: dog Uh? Number four shoot Owen Wilson. Yeah, it's a
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: son of them.
- 2:00:47Speaker 5: The fifth, yes, Riley Wait Starsky and Hutch starskytch it's
- 2:00:55Speaker 5: the movie I couldn't think about the hell.
- 2:00:57Speaker 1: You have one name remaining, Ben Stiller. Then Steeler is correct.
- 2:01:03Speaker 5: And you know why that's fresh online is because I
- 2:01:05Speaker 5: was scrolling like Facebook reels and a funny scene from
- 2:01:09Speaker 5: Starsky and Hutch popped up, like literally yesterday. Oh funny
- 2:01:12Speaker 5: that was all right, I forget about that.
- 2:01:16Speaker 4: Was that the one that he played Huggy Bear in.
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: That's exactly what it was. Yep, that's Huggy Bear.
- 2:01:21Speaker 4: And they kind of roped him into it. Remember we
- 2:01:23Speaker 4: read something.
- 2:01:24Speaker 1: Old it was when we did our old School episode.
- 2:01:26Speaker 4: That's right, that's right.
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: Yep. They're like, we'll let you be in Starsky and Hunch,
