  Thanks

• 1:29

• 1:29
  Yeah,
• 1:30
  I'm
• 1:30
  looking
• 1:30
  forward
• 1:30
  to
• 1:30
  it.
• 1:30
  And
• 1:30
  we
• 1:31
  have
• 1:31
  a
• 1:31
  tradition
• 1:31
  on
• 1:31
  the
• 1:31

• 1:32
  Fly.
• 1:32
  We

• 1:35
  memory.
• 1:37
  Man,
• 1:39
  that's
• 1:40
  hard.
• 1:41
  It
• 1:41
  may
• 1:42
  be,
• 1:44
  I
• 1:44
  guess.
• 1:45
  I
• 1:45
  don't
• 1:45
  know.
• 1:48
  It's
• 1:48
  probably
• 1:49
  fishing
• 1:49
  with
• 1:49
  my
• 1:50
  dad.
• 1:50
  And
• 1:51
  there
• 1:51
  was
• 1:51
  this
• 1:51
  one,
• 1:55
  it
• 1:55
  was
• 1:55
  a
• 1:55
  highfalutin
• 1:56
  farm
• 1:56
  pond,
• 1:56
  but
• 1:57
  it
• 1:57
  was
• 1:57
  kind
• 1:57
  of
• 1:57
  this
• 1:58
  tucked
• 1:58
  away
• 2:00
  place
• 2:00
  in
• 2:01
  Cumberland
• 2:02
  County,
• 2:02
  Virginia
• 2:02
  that
• 2:03
  we
• 2:03
  used
• 2:03
  to
• 2:03
  go
• 2:06
  and
• 2:08
  someone
• 2:08
  made
• 2:09
  it
• 2:09
  because
• 2:09
  there
• 2:09
  was
• 2:09
  a
• 2:10
  dam
• 2:10
  below
• 2:10
  it.
• 2:10
  It
• 2:11
  was
• 2:11
  a
• 2:11
  dam
• 2:11
  thing.
• 2:13
  And
• 2:13
  we
• 2:13
  used
• 2:13
  to
• 2:13
  go
• 2:13
  and
• 2:14
  catch
• 2:15
  not
• 2:15
  a
• 2:16
  lot
• 2:16
  of
• 2:16
  anything
• 2:16
  but
• 2:17
  a
• 2:17
  lot
• 2:17
  of
• 2:18
  small,
• 2:18
  large
• 2:18
  mouth
• 2:19
  and
• 2:21
  sunnies
• 2:22
  and
• 2:22
  there
• 2:22
  was
• 2:22
  just
• 2:22
  kind
• 2:23
  of
• 2:23
  like
• 2:23
  a
• 2:23
  little
• 2:23
  bit
• 2:23
  of
• 2:24
  everything.
• 2:24
  So
• 2:24
  somebody
• 2:25
  had
• 2:25
  stocked
• 2:25
  it
• 2:25
  at
• 2:25
  some
• 2:26
  point.
• 2:26
  But
• 2:26
  it
• 2:26
  was
• 2:27
  this
• 2:27
  kind
• 2:27
  of
• 2:27
  picturesque
• 2:28
  thing
• 2:28
  where
• 2:28
  you'd
• 2:29
  like
• 2:31
  once
• 2:31
  we
• 2:31
  graduated
• 2:32
  to
• 2:32
  a
• 2:32
  little
• 2:32
  boat
• 2:32
  with
• 2:33
  a
• 2:33
  trolling
• 2:33
  motor,
• 2:33
  we'd
• 2:34
  go
• 2:34
  and
• 2:34
  it'd
• 2:34
  just
• 2:34
  be
• 2:34
  like
• 2:35
  acres
• 2:35
  of
• 2:35
  lily
• 2:35
  pads
• 2:36
  and
• 2:37
  you
• 2:37
  know,
• 2:37
  kind
• 2:37
  of
• 2:37
  just
• 2:37
  what
• 2:38
  you
• 2:38
  think
• 2:38
  of
• 2:38
  as
• 2:38
  like
• 2:39
  southern
• 2:39
  farm
• 2:40
  pond
• 2:41
  situation.
• 2:42
  That's
• 2:42
  probably
• 2:42
  my
• 2:42
  earliest.
• 2:43
  And
• 2:43
  then
• 2:46
  after
• 2:46
  that,
• 2:47
  which
• 2:47
  probably
• 2:47
  sticks
• 2:47
  out
• 2:48
  more,
• 2:48
  is
• 2:49
  my
• 2:49
  uncle
• 2:50
  had
• 2:51
  a
• 2:53
  sort
• 2:53
  of
• 2:53
  a
• 2:53
  party
• 2:54
  Boat
• 2:55
  on
• 2:55
  the
• 2:56
  Rappahannock
• 2:56
  river
• 2:58
  near
• 2:58
  the
• 2:58
  Chesapeake
• 2:59
  Bay,
• 3:00
  Urbana,
• 3:01
  Virginia.
• 3:02
  And
• 3:03
  bottom
• 3:04
  fishing
• 3:04
  for
• 3:05
  spot
• 3:06
  and
• 3:06
  croaker
• 3:06
  and
• 3:06
  flounder
• 3:07
  and,
• 3:08
  you
• 3:08
  know,
• 3:09
  little
• 3:09
  black
• 3:10
  bass
• 3:10
  and
• 3:11
  bluefish
• 3:12
  and
• 3:12
  kind
• 3:13
  of
• 3:13
  anything.
• 3:13
  And
• 3:14
  that's
• 3:15
  where
• 3:15
  I
• 3:15
  would
• 3:15
  spend
• 3:16
  as
• 3:16
  much
• 3:16
  time
• 3:17
  as
• 3:17
  I
• 3:17
  possibly
• 3:17
  could
• 3:18
  when
• 3:18
  I
• 3:18
  was
• 3:18
  like
• 3:21
  11,
• 3:21
  12,
• 3:22
  13
• 3:23
  in
• 3:23
  there
• 3:24
  until
• 3:24
  I
• 3:24
  got
• 3:24
  my
• 3:25
  own
• 3:25
  little
• 3:25
  boat
• 3:26
  around
• 3:26
  the
• 3:26
  age
• 3:26
  of
• 3:26
  14,
• 3:27
  15.
• 3:28
  Very
• 3:29
  neat.
• 3:29
  When
• 3:29
  did
• 3:29
  you
• 3:29
  come
• 3:30
  to
• 3:30
  the
• 3:30
  dark
• 3:30
  side
• 3:30
  of
• 3:30
  fly
• 3:31
  fishing?
• 3:32
  That
• 3:32
  was
• 3:32
  late,
• 3:33
  man.
• 3:33
  That
• 3:33
  was
• 3:33
  like
• 3:34
  really,
• 3:36
  truly
• 3:37
  impromptu.
• 3:40
  I
• 3:40
  was.
• 3:42
  My
• 3:42
  wife
• 3:42
  and
• 3:42
  I
• 3:43
  decided
• 3:43
  to
• 3:43
  go
• 3:43
  to
• 3:43
  Belize
• 3:43
  on
• 3:44
  our
• 3:44
  honeymoon.
• 3:44
  And
• 3:45
  I
• 3:45
  kept
• 3:45
  seeing
• 3:46
  things
• 3:46
  about
• 3:46
  fly
• 3:47
  fishing
• 3:48
  and
• 3:48
  I
• 3:48
  was
• 3:48
  like,
• 3:48
  I
• 3:49
  always
• 3:49
  wanted
• 3:49
  to
• 3:49
  try
• 3:49
  that.
• 3:50
  And
• 3:52
  so
• 3:54
  I
• 3:54
  decided
• 3:54
  that's
• 3:54
  what
• 3:55
  I
• 3:55
  was
• 3:55
  going
• 3:55
  to
• 3:55
  do
• 3:55
  on
• 3:56
  the
• 3:56
  Hunter
• 3:56
  Uni
• 3:56
  is
• 3:56
  go
• 3:56
  fly
• 3:57
  fishing.
• 3:57
  Because
• 3:57
  why
• 3:58
  not
• 3:58
  along,
• 4:01
  probably.
• 4:02
  I
• 4:02
  got
• 4:02
  married
• 4:02
  in
• 4:03
  October
• 4:04
  of
• 4:05
  2008.
• 4:08
  So
• 4:08
  probably
• 4:09
  March
• 4:09
  of
• 4:10
  2008,
• 4:10
  I
• 4:10
  walked
• 4:11
  into
• 4:11
  the
• 4:11
  local
• 4:11
  fly
• 4:12
  shop
• 4:12
  and
• 4:12
  said,
• 4:12
  sell
• 4:13
  me
• 4:13
  something
• 4:14
  that
• 4:14
  was
• 4:14
  downhill
• 4:15
  after
• 4:15
  that.
• 4:17
  Very
• 4:17
  neat.
• 4:18
  Yeah,
• 4:18
  that's
• 4:18
  kind
• 4:18
  of
• 4:18
  amazing.
• 4:19
  Not
• 4:19
  dissimilar
• 4:20
  from
• 4:20
  my
• 4:20
  experience.
• 4:20
  I
• 4:21
  fished
• 4:21
  as
• 4:21
  a
• 4:21
  kid,
• 4:21
  but
• 4:21
  I
• 4:22
  probably
• 4:24
  didn't
• 4:24
  come
• 4:24
  to
• 4:24
  fly
• 4:25
  fishing
• 4:25
  until
• 4:25
  I
• 4:25
  was
• 4:25
  probably
• 4:26
  30
• 4:27
  or
• 4:27
  31.
• 4:28
  I
• 4:28
  was
• 4:28
  working
• 4:28
  too
• 4:28
  much
• 4:29
  and
• 4:29
  started
• 4:29
  buying
• 4:29
  shotgun
• 4:30
  and
• 4:30
  fly
• 4:30
  rods.
• 4:32
  I
• 4:32
  mean,
• 4:34
  that's
• 4:34
  a
• 4:34
  bad
• 4:34
  addiction.
• 4:37
  Yeah,
• 4:37
  it
• 4:37
  was,
• 4:38
  but
• 4:38
  it
• 4:38
  was
• 4:38
  good.
• 4:38
  It's
• 4:39
  all
• 4:39
  worked
• 4:39
  out
• 4:39
  so
• 4:39
  far.
• 4:40
  But,
• 4:40
  you
• 4:41
  know,
• 4:41
  who
• 4:41
  are
• 4:41
  some
• 4:41
  of
• 4:41
  the
• 4:41
  folks
• 4:41
  that
• 4:42
  have
• 4:42
  mentored
• 4:42
  you
• 4:42
  on
• 4:42
  your
• 4:42
  fly
• 4:43
  fishing
• 4:43
  journey?
• 4:44
  Well,
• 4:45
  you
• 4:45
  know,
• 4:48
  when
• 4:48
  I
• 4:48
  first
• 4:48
  started
• 4:48
  out,
• 4:49
  it
• 4:49
  was
• 4:49
  just
• 4:49
  the
• 4:49
  guys
• 4:49
  in
• 4:50
  the
• 4:50
  fly
• 4:50
  shop.
• 4:50
  It
• 4:50
  was,
• 4:50
  you
• 4:51
  know,
• 4:51
  our
• 4:51
  local
• 4:52
  shop
• 4:52
  here
• 4:52
  is
• 4:52
  tco
• 4:54
  and
• 4:56
  you
• 4:56
  know,
• 4:56
  I
• 4:57
  kind
• 4:57
  of
• 4:57
  go
• 4:57
  in,
• 4:58
  they
• 4:58
  gave
• 4:58
  me
• 4:58
  a
• 4:58
  couple
• 4:58
  spots
• 4:59
  and
• 4:59
  come
• 4:59
  back
• 4:59
  report.
• 5:00
  Try
• 5:00
  this,
• 5:01
  try
• 5:01
  that.
• 5:02
  One
• 5:03
  guy
• 5:03
  that
• 5:03
  I
• 5:05
  actually
• 5:05
  became
• 5:06
  my
• 5:06
  like,
• 5:07
  of
• 5:07
  my
• 5:08
  best
• 5:08
  friends.
• 5:08
  I
• 5:08
  mean,
• 5:08
  he's
• 5:08
  my
• 5:09
  best
• 5:09
  friend.
• 5:09
  This
• 5:09
  guy
• 5:09
  named
• 5:10
  Steve
• 5:10
  Spurgeon,
• 5:11
  worked
• 5:11
  at
• 5:11
  TCO
• 5:11
  back
• 5:12
  then.
• 5:14
  Kind
• 5:14
  of
• 5:14
  always
• 5:15
  pointed
• 5:15
  me
• 5:15
  in
• 5:15
  the
• 5:15
  right
• 5:15
  direction.
• 5:16
  And
• 5:16
  then
• 5:17
  he
• 5:17
  always
• 5:18
  had
• 5:18
  something.
• 5:18
  He's.
• 5:19
  He's
• 5:19
  one
• 5:19
  of
• 5:19
  those
• 5:19
  guys
• 5:20
  officious
• 5:20
  for
• 5:20
  everything.
• 5:21
  Probably
• 5:22
  one
• 5:22
  of
• 5:22
  the
• 5:22
  best
• 5:22
  anglers
• 5:23
  I've
• 5:23
  ever
• 5:23
  met
• 5:25
  and
• 5:25
  just
• 5:26
  dialed
• 5:26
  in
• 5:26
  anything
• 5:27
  in
• 5:27
  the
• 5:27
  northeast
• 5:28
  just
• 5:28
  because
• 5:28
  he
• 5:28
  just
• 5:29
  couldn't
• 5:29
  leave
• 5:29
  it
• 5:29
  alone
• 5:29
  himself.
• 5:32
  I'd
• 5:32
  put
• 5:32
  that
• 5:33
  there.
• 5:33
  And
• 5:33
  then
• 5:34
  over
• 5:35
  the
• 5:35
  years,
• 5:37
  you
• 5:37
  meet
• 5:37
  people
• 5:37
  and
• 5:39
  fly
• 5:39
  fishing
• 5:39
  is
• 5:39
  one
• 5:39
  of
• 5:39
  those
• 5:40
  things
• 5:40
  where
• 5:43
  there's
• 5:43
  very
• 5:43
  few.
• 5:46
  Without
• 5:46
  using
• 5:47
  four
• 5:47
  letter
• 5:47
  words,
• 5:48
  fly
• 5:48
  fishermen.
• 5:49
  And,
• 5:50
  you
• 5:50
  know,
• 5:50
  it
• 5:51
  seems
• 5:51
  that
• 5:51
  when
• 5:52
  you
• 5:52
  meet
• 5:52
  one,
• 5:52
  everyone
• 5:52
  already
• 5:53
  knows
• 5:53
  that
• 5:53
  one's
• 5:53
  the
• 5:53
  asshole.
• 5:55
  But
• 5:55
  anybody
• 5:56
  kind
• 5:56
  of
• 5:56
  met
• 5:56
  along
• 5:56
  the
• 5:57
  way.
• 5:57
  So,
• 5:57
  you
• 5:58
  know,
• 5:59
  met
• 5:59
  some
• 6:00
  guys
• 6:00
  through
• 6:02
  seeing
• 6:03
  them
• 6:03
  on
• 6:03
  the
• 6:03
  creeks
• 6:04
  or
• 6:04
  seeing
• 6:04
  them
• 6:05
  on
• 6:05
  the
• 6:05
  rivers.
• 6:05
  And,
• 6:06
  you
• 6:06
  know,
• 6:07
  shows
• 6:08
  and
• 6:11
  down
• 6:11
  the
• 6:12
  beach
• 6:12
  and
• 6:12
  here
• 6:13
  and
• 6:13
  there
• 6:13
  and
• 6:14
  had
• 6:15
  like
• 6:15
  a
• 6:16
  neat
• 6:16
  little
• 6:16
  community
• 6:16
  of
• 6:17
  guys
• 6:17
  I've
• 6:17
  met
• 6:17
  over
• 6:17
  the
• 6:18
  years.
• 6:18
  It's
• 6:18
  pretty
• 6:19
  cool.
• 6:19
  So
• 6:19
  I
• 6:19
  put
• 6:19
  Steven
• 6:20
  there.
• 6:20
  My
• 6:20
  good
• 6:20
  buddy
• 6:21
  Jack
• 6:21
  Denny
• 6:23
  lives
• 6:23
  behind
• 6:24
  Sandy
• 6:24
  Hook,
• 6:25
  who
• 6:25
  I
• 6:25
  met,
• 6:27
  you
• 6:27
  know,
• 6:28
  on
• 6:28
  a
• 6:28
  online
• 6:29
  forum.
• 6:29
  This
• 6:29
  is
• 6:29
  before
• 6:29
  social
• 6:30
  media
• 6:30
  was,
• 6:31
  you
• 6:31
  know,
• 6:31
  showing
• 6:32
  everybody
• 6:32
  away.
• 6:34
  He
• 6:34
  always
• 6:35
  invited
• 6:35
  me
• 6:35
  down
• 6:36
  and
• 6:36
  showed
• 6:37
  me
• 6:37
  that
• 6:37
  area
• 6:38
  when
• 6:38
  I
• 6:38
  first
• 6:38
  started.
• 6:39
  Really
• 6:40
  got
• 6:40
  heavy
• 6:40
  in
• 6:40
  the
• 6:40
  fly
• 6:41
  fishing.
• 6:41
  Really
• 6:41
  got
• 6:41
  heavy
• 6:42
  in
• 6:42
  the
• 6:42
  saltwater
• 6:42
  fly
• 6:42
  fishing.
• 6:44
  You
• 6:45
  know,
• 6:46
  I
• 6:46
  think,
• 6:46
  you
• 6:47
  know,
• 6:47
  some
• 6:47
  of
• 6:47
  the
• 6:47
  other
• 6:47
  guys,
• 6:48
  you
• 6:48
  know,
• 6:48
  Bob,
• 6:48
  top
• 6:48
  of
• 6:49
  mix.
• 6:50
  Dave
• 6:50
  Nelson's
• 6:50
  a
• 6:50
  good
• 6:51
  friend
• 6:51
  at
• 6:51
  this
• 6:51
  point,
• 6:52
  but,
• 6:53
  you
• 6:53
  know,
• 6:54
  I
• 6:54
  had
• 6:54
  sent
• 6:54
  him
• 6:55
  randomly
• 6:56
  a
• 6:56
  question.
• 6:57
  You
• 6:57
  know,
• 6:57
  he
• 6:58
  was
• 6:58
  an
• 6:58
  open
• 6:58
  book.
• 6:59
  We
• 6:59
  became
• 6:59
  great
• 6:59
  friends.
• 7:00
  Like,
• 7:01
  interesting.
• 7:02
  You
• 7:02
  know,
• 7:02
  you
• 7:02
  call
• 7:03
  these
• 7:03
  people
• 7:03
  mentors,
• 7:03
  but,
• 7:03
  you
• 7:04
  know,
• 7:04
  you
• 7:04
  think
• 7:04
  of
• 7:04
  them
• 7:04
  as
• 7:04
  friends
• 7:05
  first.
• 7:06
  Yeah,
• 7:06
  very
• 7:06
  neat.
• 7:07
  Was
• 7:07
  that
• 7:07
  the
• 7:07
  Boiling
• 7:07
  Springs
• 7:08
  tco?
• 7:10
  Actually
• 7:10
  Bryn
• 7:11
  Mawr
• 7:11
  right
• 7:11
  outside.
• 7:12
  I
• 7:12
  live
• 7:12
  in
• 7:12
  Philadelphia,
• 7:13
  So
• 7:13
  that's
• 7:14
  like
• 7:15
  15
• 7:15
  minutes
• 7:15
  from
• 7:16
  my
• 7:16
  house.
• 7:16
  20
• 7:17
  minutes
• 7:17
  from
• 7:17
  my
• 7:17
  house.
• 7:18
  Yeah.
• 7:18
  You
• 7:18
  were
• 7:18
  lucky
• 7:19
  to
• 7:19
  have
• 7:19
  a
• 7:19
  shop
• 7:20
  that's
• 7:20
  that
• 7:20
  good
• 7:20
  so
• 7:21
  close
• 7:21
  to
• 7:21
  you
• 7:21
  to
• 7:21
  help
• 7:21
  you
• 7:22
  kind
• 7:22
  of
• 7:22
  get
• 7:22
  into
• 7:22
  the
• 7:22
  sport.
• 7:23
  Yeah,
• 7:23
  absolutely.
• 7:24
  Absolutely.
• 7:25
  Yeah.
• 7:26
  And
• 7:26
  so,
• 7:27
  you
• 7:27
  know,
• 7:27
  when
• 7:27
  did
• 7:27
  you
• 7:28
  get
• 7:28
  the
• 7:28
  fever
• 7:28
  to
• 7:29
  start
• 7:29
  tying
• 7:30
  flies?
• 7:32
  You
• 7:32
  know,
• 7:34
  I
• 7:34
  didn't
• 7:34
  put
• 7:34
  a
• 7:34
  date
• 7:35
  on
• 7:35
  it.
• 7:35
  It's
• 7:35
  kind
• 7:35
  of
• 7:35
  hard,
• 7:35
  but
• 7:36
  know,
• 7:36
  I,
• 7:36
  I
• 7:36
  would
• 7:37
  put
• 7:37
  it
• 7:39
  probably
• 7:39
  once
• 7:40
  my
• 7:40
  daughter
• 7:40
  got
• 7:41
  to
• 7:41
  be
• 7:41
  a
• 7:41
  couple
• 7:41
  years
• 7:41
  old.
• 7:42
  So
• 7:42
  I
• 7:42
  was
• 7:42
  probably
• 7:42
  fly
• 7:43
  fishing
• 7:43
  for
• 7:43
  three
• 7:43
  or
• 7:44
  four
• 7:44
  years
• 7:45
  and
• 7:48
  just
• 7:48
  thought
• 7:48
  that
• 7:49
  was
• 7:49
  the
• 7:49
  next
• 7:49
  progression
• 7:50
  and
• 7:50
  couldn't
• 7:50
  fish
• 7:50
  as
• 7:51
  much
• 7:51
  as
• 7:51
  I,
• 7:51
  I
• 7:52
  wanted
• 7:52
  to.
• 7:54
  And
• 7:54
  so
• 7:54
  that
• 7:54
  kind
• 7:54
  of
• 7:55
  took
• 7:55
  some
• 7:55
  of
• 7:55
  the
• 7:55
  time
• 7:55
  and
• 7:56
  made
• 7:56
  the
• 7:56
  anticipation
• 7:57
  going
• 7:57
  fishing,
• 7:59
  you
• 7:59
  know,
• 7:59
  all
• 7:59
  that
• 8:00
  much
• 8:01
  greater.
• 8:02
  I,
• 8:02
  you
• 8:03
  know,
• 8:03
  I.
• 8:03
  It's
• 8:03
  kind
• 8:03
  of
• 8:03
  funny.
• 8:04
  Like,
• 8:04
  I
• 8:04
  don't
• 8:04
  care
• 8:05
  how
• 8:05
  many
• 8:06
  flies
• 8:06
  I
• 8:06
  have
• 8:06
  or
• 8:07
  how
• 8:07
  many
• 8:07
  times
• 8:08
  I
• 8:08
  go
• 8:08
  fishing,
• 8:08
  I'm.
• 8:09
  It's
• 8:10
  rare
• 8:10
  that
• 8:10
  I'm
• 8:10
  not
• 8:10
  tying
• 8:11
  flies
• 8:11
  a
• 8:11
  day
• 8:12
  before
• 8:12
  I
• 8:12
  go
• 8:12
  fishing
• 8:12
  just
• 8:12
  because
• 8:13
  it
• 8:13
  amps
• 8:13
  me
• 8:13
  up.
• 8:14
  Yeah,
• 8:15
  very
• 8:15
  neat.
• 8:15
  What
• 8:15
  was
• 8:15
  your,
• 8:16
  your
• 8:16
  first
• 8:16
  vice
• 8:17
  and
• 8:17
  the
• 8:17
  first
• 8:17
  fly
• 8:17
  you
• 8:18
  tied
• 8:18
  on
• 8:18
  it?
• 8:20
  I
• 8:20
  think
• 8:21
  like
• 8:21
  many
• 8:21
  people,
• 8:21
  I
• 8:21
  had
• 8:21
  a
• 8:22
  Renzetti
• 8:22
  Traveler
• 8:24
  was
• 8:24
  my
• 8:25
  first,
• 8:25
  my
• 8:25
  first
• 8:26
  vice.
• 8:29
  And
• 8:29
  there
• 8:29
  was
• 8:29
  a
• 8:29
  great
• 8:29
  fly
• 8:30
  tying
• 8:30
  book
• 8:31
  that
• 8:32
  had
• 8:32
  kind
• 8:32
  of
• 8:32
  these
• 8:33
  cutaways
• 8:34
  where
• 8:35
  each
• 8:35
  pattern
• 8:35
  had
• 8:36
  like
• 8:36
  a
• 8:36
  little
• 8:37
  section
• 8:37

  the

  book
• 8:37
  that
• 8:37
  would
• 8:38
  fold
• 8:38
  over
• 8:38
  just
• 8:38
  like
• 8:39
  a
• 8:39
  quarter
• 8:39
  of
• 8:39
  the
• 8:39
  page
• 8:39
  and
• 8:40
  give
• 8:40
  you
• 8:40
  all
• 8:40
  the
• 8:40
  steps.
• 8:40
  And,
• 8:41
  you
• 8:42
  know,
• 8:42
  I
• 8:42
  must
• 8:42
  have
• 8:42
  tied
• 8:44
  Woolly
• 8:44
  Bugger
• 8:44
  after
• 8:45
  Wooly
• 8:45
  Bugger
• 8:45
  after
• 8:45
  Wooly
• 8:46
  Bugger
• 8:46
  after
• 8:46
  Wooly
• 8:46
  Bugger
• 8:47
  until
• 8:47
  I
• 8:48
  made
• 8:48
  it
• 8:48
  look
• 8:48
  like
• 8:48
  the
• 8:48
  picture
• 8:49
  of
• 8:49
  the
• 8:49
  book.
• 8:50
  Very
• 8:51
  neat.
• 8:51
  Do
• 8:51
  you
• 8:51
  remember
• 8:52
  the
• 8:52
  title
• 8:52
  of
• 8:52
  the
• 8:52
  book
• 8:52
  because
• 8:53
  that
• 8:53
  one
• 8:53
  doesn't
• 8:53
  ring
• 8:53
  a
• 8:53
  bell.
• 8:54
  Like
• 8:54
  I
• 8:54
  think
• 8:54
  about
• 8:54
  like
• 8:55
  Skip
• 8:55
  Morris's
• 8:55
  book
• 8:56
  and
• 8:56
  I
• 8:56
  think
• 8:56
  about
• 8:56
  like
• 8:57
  Charlie
• 8:57
  Craven's
• 8:58
  book.
• 8:58
  But
• 8:58
  that's
• 8:58
  something
• 8:59
  that's
• 9:00
  a
• 9:00
  format
• 9:00
  for
• 9:00
  a
• 9:00
  tying
• 9:01
  book
• 9:01
  I
• 9:01
  haven't
• 9:01
  seen
• 9:01
  before.
• 9:02
  I
• 9:03
  don't
• 9:03
  remember
• 9:03
  the
• 9:03
  name
• 9:04
  of
• 9:04
  the
• 9:04
  book.
• 9:04
  I
• 9:04
  bet
• 9:04
  I
• 9:04
  could
• 9:04
  find
• 9:05
  it
• 9:05
  in
• 9:05
  Svencia
• 9:05
  though
• 9:06
  I'd
• 9:06
  have
• 9:06
  to
• 9:06
  look
• 9:06
  for
• 9:07
  it.
• 9:09
  I
• 9:09
  know
• 9:09
  the
• 9:09
  book
• 9:09
  got
• 9:10
  destroyed
• 9:13
  when
• 9:14
  I
• 9:15
  had
• 9:15
  a
• 9:15
  flood
• 9:16
  in
• 9:16
  my
• 9:16
  basement
• 9:18
  in
• 9:18
  my
• 9:19
  tying
• 9:19
  area
• 9:19
  and
• 9:20
  I
• 9:20
  had
• 9:20
  gotten
• 9:20
  everything
• 9:20
  up
• 9:21
  off
• 9:21
  the
• 9:21
  floor.
• 9:21
  So
• 9:21
  I
• 9:21
  knew
• 9:22
  it
• 9:22
  was
• 9:23
  a
• 9:23
  hurricane
• 9:24
  and
• 9:25
  had
• 9:25
  been
• 9:25
  raining
• 9:25
  for
• 9:26
  a
• 9:26
  week
• 9:26
  before
• 9:26
  that.
• 9:26
  So
• 9:27
  we
• 9:27
  were
• 9:27
  like,
• 9:27
  oh,
• 9:27
  we
• 9:27
  might
• 9:27
  get
• 9:28
  some
• 9:28
  more
• 9:28
  in
• 9:28
  the
• 9:28
  basement.
• 9:29
  And
• 9:29
  I'd
• 9:29
  gotten
• 9:29
  everything
• 9:30
  off
• 9:30
  the
• 9:30
  floor
• 9:30
  up
• 9:30
  on
• 9:31
  cinder
• 9:31
  blocks
• 9:31
  and
• 9:32
  you
• 9:32
  know,
• 9:32
  the
• 9:32
  whole
• 9:33
  basement
• 9:33
  was
• 9:33
  elevated
• 9:34
  and
• 9:34
  I
• 9:34
  left
• 9:34
  this
• 9:34
  crate
• 9:35
  of
• 9:35
  books
• 9:35
  on
• 9:35
  the
• 9:35
  floor
• 9:35
  and
• 9:36
  that
• 9:36
  was
• 9:36
  in
• 9:36
  it.
• 9:38
  That's
• 9:38
  awful.
• 9:39
  It
• 9:39
  was
• 9:40
  long
• 9:40
  after
• 9:40
  I
• 9:40
  was
• 9:41
  done
• 9:41
  with
• 9:41
  the
• 9:41
  book,
• 9:42
  you
• 9:42
  know.
• 9:42
  Yeah.
• 9:43
  And
• 9:43
  so
• 9:43
  it's
• 9:44
  interesting,
• 9:44
  right?
• 9:44
  So
• 9:44
  you
• 9:44
  were
• 9:45
  kind
• 9:45
  of
• 9:45
  learning
• 9:45
  to
• 9:45
  tie
• 9:47
  kind
• 9:47
  of
• 9:47
  before
• 9:48
  YouTube
• 9:49
  was
• 9:49
  crazy
• 9:50
  with
• 9:50
  fly
• 9:50
  tying.
• 9:51
  So
• 9:51
  you
• 9:51
  know,
• 9:52
  how
• 9:52
  did
• 9:52
  you
• 9:53
  kind
• 9:53
  of,
• 9:53
  you
• 9:53
  know,
• 9:53
  go
• 9:53
  from
• 9:54
  woolly
• 9:54
  boogers
• 9:54
  to
• 9:54
  kind
• 9:55
  of,
• 9:55
  you
• 9:55
  know,
• 9:55
  being
• 9:55
  the
• 9:55
  guy
• 9:56
  we
• 9:56
  see
• 9:56
  on
• 9:56
  Masters
• 9:56
  of
• 9:57
  the
• 9:57
  Fly,
• 9:58
  we
• 9:58
  see
• 9:58
  in
• 9:58
  Edison,
• 9:58
  we
• 9:59
  see
• 9:59
  the
• 9:59
  Fly
• 9:59
  Tying
• 9:59
  Symposium,
• 10:02
  you
• 10:02
  know,
• 10:03
  so.
• 10:03
  What
• 10:03
  you
• 10:03
  couldn't
• 10:04
  find
• 10:04
  in
• 10:04
  shops
• 10:05
  and
• 10:05
  you
• 10:05
  can
• 10:05
  find
• 10:05
  Lily
• 10:06
  Bugger,
• 10:06
  you
• 10:06
  could
• 10:06
  find
• 10:06
  every
• 10:07
  fly
• 10:07
  in
• 10:07
  every
• 10:07
  book
• 10:08
  which
• 10:09
  you
• 10:09
  couldn't
• 10:09
  find
• 10:09
  in
• 10:10
  shops
• 10:10
  for
• 10:10
  good
• 10:10
  saltwater
• 10:11
  patterns.
• 10:13
  You
• 10:14
  know,
• 10:14
  outside
• 10:14
  of
• 10:14
  a
• 10:14
  lefty
• 10:15
  deceiver
• 10:15
  or
• 10:15
  a
• 10:15
  clouser,
• 10:16
  you
• 10:16
  couldn't
• 10:16
  find
• 10:16
  them
• 10:17
  in
• 10:17
  the
• 10:17
  shop
• 10:18
  and
• 10:18
  you
• 10:18
  couldn't
• 10:18
  find
• 10:18
  instructions
• 10:19
  really
• 10:21
  for
• 10:21
  things
• 10:22
  that
• 10:22
  were
• 10:24
  really
• 10:24
  different
• 10:25
  or
• 10:26
  you
• 10:26
  know,
• 10:27
  innovative.
• 10:29
  And
• 10:29
  I
• 10:30
  discovered
• 10:31
  a
• 10:31
  forum
• 10:32
  that
• 10:32
  still
• 10:32
  exists
• 10:33
  called
• 10:33
  Stripers
• 10:33
  Online.
• 10:34
  New
• 10:35
  Jersey,
• 10:35
  New
• 10:35
  Jersey
• 10:36
  based
• 10:37
  fishing
• 10:38
  forum.
• 10:39
  And
• 10:39
  in
• 10:39
  that
• 10:39
  form
• 10:39
  there
• 10:40
  was
• 10:40
  a
• 10:40
  fly
• 10:40
  fishing
• 10:40
  section
• 10:42
  and
• 10:42
  in
• 10:42
  that
• 10:42
  section
• 10:43
  there
• 10:43
  was
• 10:43
  a
• 10:43
  fly
• 10:44
  tying
• 10:44
  section.
• 10:46
  They
• 10:46
  covered
• 10:46
  everything.
• 10:47
  But
• 10:47
  you
• 10:47
  can
• 10:47
  imagine
• 10:48
  Stripers
• 10:48
  online.
• 10:48
  So
• 10:49
  it
• 10:49
  was,
• 10:49
  you
• 10:49
  know,
• 10:49
  heavy
• 10:49
  stall,
• 10:50
  water
• 10:50
  tide.
• 10:51
  You
• 10:51
  could
• 10:51
  go
• 10:51
  in
• 10:51
  there
• 10:51
  and
• 10:52
  find
• 10:52
  recipes
• 10:52
  and
• 10:53
  talk
• 10:53
  to
• 10:53
  guys
• 10:53
  that
• 10:53
  fished.
• 10:54
  And
• 10:55
  you
• 10:55
  know,
• 10:56
  the
• 10:57
  lineup
• 10:57
  of
• 10:58
  tires
• 10:59
  that
• 10:59
  was,
• 11:00
  that
• 11:00
  were
• 11:00
  actively
• 11:00
  involved
• 11:01
  in
• 11:01
  that
• 11:01
  forum,
• 11:04
  just
• 11:04
  kind
• 11:04
  of
• 11:04
  silly.
• 11:05
  I
• 11:05
  mean
• 11:05
  Jonny
• 11:05
  King,
• 11:06
  Andrew
• 11:07
  Warshower,
• 11:08
  Bob
• 11:08
  Popovics,
• 11:09
  of
• 11:09
  course
• 11:10
  David
• 11:11
  Nelson,
• 11:12
  I
• 11:13
  mean
• 11:15
  there's
• 11:15
  like
• 11:15
  as
• 11:16
  I
• 11:16
  still
• 11:16
  just
• 11:16
  know
• 11:16
  by
• 11:17
  their
• 11:17
  screen
• 11:17
  names
• 11:17
  from
• 11:18
  back
• 11:18
  then
• 11:19
  and
• 11:19
  it
• 11:19
  was
• 11:19
  a
• 11:19
  really
• 11:20
  neat
• 11:20
  community
• 11:20
  of
• 11:21
  guys
• 11:21
  that
• 11:21
  were
• 11:23
  willing
• 11:23
  to
• 11:23
  share,
• 11:24
  you
• 11:24
  know,
• 11:24
  material
• 11:25
  sources,
• 11:26
  how
• 11:27
  they
• 11:27
  tied
• 11:27
  do
• 11:28
  step
• 11:28
  by
• 11:28
  steps.
• 11:29
  And
• 11:29
  you
• 11:29
  know,
• 11:30
  I
• 11:30
  was
• 11:31
  having
• 11:31
  this
• 11:31
  conversation
• 11:31
  at,
• 11:32
  at
• 11:32
  Ty
• 11:32
  Fest
• 11:33
  with
• 11:36
  there's
• 11:37
  a
• 11:37
  brand
• 11:37
  and
• 11:37
  their
• 11:38
  social
• 11:38
  media
• 11:38
  manager.
• 11:41
  You're
• 11:41
  like,
• 11:42
  how'd
• 11:42
  you
• 11:42
  learn?
• 11:42
  Ty
• 11:43
  flies.
• 11:43
  It
• 11:43
  was
• 11:43
  like
• 11:43
  online
• 11:44
  forms.
• 11:44
  And
• 11:44
  she
• 11:45
  said,
• 11:45
  what's
• 11:45
  that?
• 11:46
  And
• 11:46
  I
• 11:46
  said,
• 11:47
  you
• 11:47
  know,
• 11:47
  I
• 11:47
  explained
• 11:48
  what
• 11:48
  it
• 11:48
  was
• 11:48
  and
• 11:49
  explained.
• 11:49
  Or
• 11:49
  to
• 11:49
  post
• 11:50
  a
• 11:50
  picture
• 11:51
  of
• 11:52
  something,
• 11:53
  you
• 11:53
  had
• 11:53
  to
• 11:54
  upload
• 11:55
  it
• 11:55
  to
• 11:55
  a
• 11:55
  picture
• 11:56
  server
• 11:57
  and
• 11:57
  then
• 11:57
  embed
• 11:58
  the
• 11:58
  length
• 11:58
  of
• 11:59
  that
• 11:59
  picture
• 11:59
  server
• 12:00
  and
• 12:00
  hope
• 12:00
  you
• 12:00
  got
• 12:00
  it
• 12:00
  right
• 12:01
  into
• 12:01
  your
• 12:02
  post
• 12:03
  and
• 12:03
  then
• 12:04
  forget
• 12:04
  about
• 12:04
  arranging
• 12:05
  photos
• 12:05
  in
• 12:06
  order.
• 12:06
  It
• 12:06
  was.
• 12:06
  It
• 12:06
  was
• 12:06
  an
• 12:07
  ordeal.
• 12:07
  If
• 12:07
  anybody
• 12:08
  I
• 12:08
  was
• 12:08
  willing
• 12:08
  to
• 12:08
  go
• 12:09
  through
• 12:09
  that,
• 12:09
  to
• 12:09
  share
• 12:10
  an
• 12:10
  idea
• 12:11
  or
• 12:11
  share
• 12:12
  something
• 12:13
  for
• 12:13
  somebody
• 12:13
  that
• 12:13
  actually
• 12:14
  asked
• 12:14
  a
• 12:15
  question,
• 12:16
  kind
• 12:17
  of
• 12:17
  just
• 12:17
  told
• 12:17
  you
• 12:17
  the
• 12:17
  level
• 12:18
  of
• 12:18
  like
• 12:18
  giving
• 12:19
  or
• 12:20
  community
• 12:20
  that
• 12:20
  was
• 12:21
  there.
• 12:21
  Because
• 12:22
  today
• 12:22
  it's
• 12:22
  like,
• 12:23
  from
• 12:24
  my
• 12:24
  phone,
• 12:24
  I
• 12:24
  can
• 12:24
  take
• 12:24
  the
• 12:25
  picture,
• 12:26
  upload
• 12:27
  it,
• 12:27
  you
• 12:28
  know,
• 12:28
  from
• 12:28
  the
• 12:28
  app,
• 12:29
  or
• 12:29
  shoot
• 12:29
  the
• 12:30
  video
• 12:30
  from
• 12:30
  the
• 12:30
  app,
• 12:30
  and,
• 12:31
  you
• 12:31
  know,
• 12:31
  12
• 12:32
  seconds
• 12:32
  later,
• 12:33
  without
• 12:33
  any
• 12:33
  forethought
• 12:34
  or
• 12:34
  editing,
• 12:34
  it's
• 12:35
  done.
• 12:37
  But
• 12:37
  this
• 12:37
  was
• 12:37
  the
• 12:37
  whole
• 12:37
  thing.
• 12:38
  I
• 12:38
  mean,
• 12:38
  you
• 12:38
  had
• 12:38
  to
• 12:38
  get
• 12:38
  a
• 12:39
  camera,
• 12:40
  download
• 12:40
  the
• 12:40
  pictures
• 12:40
  to
• 12:41
  your
• 12:41
  computer,
• 12:42
  upload
• 12:42
  the
• 12:42
  pictures
• 12:42
  to
• 12:43
  the
• 12:43
  site,
• 12:44
  so
• 12:44
  on
• 12:44
  and
• 12:44
  so
• 12:44
  forth,
• 12:45
  you
• 12:45
  know,
• 12:47
  and
• 12:47
  that's
• 12:47
  where
• 12:47
  it
• 12:47
  all
• 12:48
  started
• 12:48
  for
• 12:48
  me.
• 12:49
  Very
• 12:50
  interesting.
• 12:50
  Kind
• 12:50
  of
• 12:50
  as
• 12:51
  things
• 12:51
  evolved,
• 12:51
  I
• 12:51
  mean,
• 12:51
  obviously
• 12:52
  you
• 12:52
  developed
• 12:52
  these
• 12:53
  kind
• 12:53
  of
• 12:53
  personal
• 12:53
  relationships
• 12:54
  with,
• 12:54
  you
• 12:55
  know,
• 12:55
  like
• 12:55
  Jonny
• 12:56
  and
• 12:57
  Bob
• 12:57
  and
• 12:57
  guys
• 12:58
  like
• 12:58
  that
• 12:58
  and
• 12:58
  David.
• 12:59
  You
• 12:59
  know,
• 13:00
  how
• 13:00
  did
• 13:00
  the,
• 13:01
  you
• 13:01
  know,
• 13:01
  kind
• 13:01
  of
• 13:02
  interacting
• 13:02
  with
• 13:02
  tires
• 13:03
  that
• 13:03
  kind
• 13:03
  of.
• 13:03
  You
• 13:04
  followed
• 13:04
  or
• 13:04
  influenced
• 13:04
  kind
• 13:05
  of
• 13:05
  evolve,
• 13:06
  you
• 13:06
  know,
• 13:06
  from,
• 13:06
  I
• 13:06
  guess,
• 13:06
  what,
• 13:07
  like
• 13:07
  the
• 13:07
  early
• 13:07
  2000
• 13:07
  and
• 13:08
  tens.
• 13:10
  Yeah,
• 13:11
  that's
• 13:11
  probably.
• 13:11
  That's
• 13:12
  probably.
• 13:12
  That's
• 13:12
  probably
• 13:13
  about
• 13:13
  right.
• 13:13
  You
• 13:13
  know,
• 13:15
  I
• 13:15
  would
• 13:15
  say,
• 13:16
  yeah,
• 13:17
  early
• 13:17
  2010s,
• 13:21
  these
• 13:21
  guys,
• 13:21
  this,
• 13:22
  like,
• 13:22
  everybody's
• 13:22
  like,
• 13:22
  hey,
• 13:23
  like,
• 13:26
  it
• 13:26
  would
• 13:27
  change
• 13:27
  really
• 13:27
  quickly
• 13:28
  from
• 13:29
  like
• 13:29
  an
• 13:29
  online
• 13:30
  form
• 13:31
  kind
• 13:31
  of
• 13:32
  interaction.
• 13:33
  So
• 13:33
  here's
• 13:33
  my
• 13:33
  phone
• 13:34
  number.
• 13:34
  Just
• 13:34
  call
• 13:34
  me.
• 13:36
  I'm
• 13:36
  going
• 13:36
  to
• 13:37
  be
• 13:37
  here.
• 13:37
  Why
• 13:37
  don't
• 13:37
  you
• 13:37
  meet
• 13:37
  me?
• 13:39
  This
• 13:39
  is
• 13:39
  what's
• 13:40
  going
• 13:40
  on
• 13:40
  now,
• 13:40
  and
• 13:40
  go
• 13:41
  here,
• 13:42
  you
• 13:42
  know,
• 13:44
  and
• 13:44
  that's
• 13:44
  how.
• 13:44
  I
• 13:45
  mean,
• 13:45
  that's
• 13:45
  how
• 13:45
  any
• 13:45
  friendship
• 13:45
  starts,
• 13:46
  right?
• 13:46
  You
• 13:46
  find
• 13:47
  some
• 13:47
  mutual
• 13:48
  bond,
• 13:48
  you
• 13:48
  find
• 13:49
  something
• 13:49
  you
• 13:50
  have
• 13:50
  in
• 13:50
  common
• 13:50
  with.
• 13:50
  You
• 13:51
  have
• 13:51
  the
• 13:51
  same
• 13:51
  outlook
• 13:52
  on
• 13:52
  things.
• 13:52
  You're
• 13:52
  not
• 13:53
  an.
• 13:53
  And
• 13:53
  you
• 13:53
  get
• 13:53
  along.
• 13:55
  Yeah.
• 13:55
  I
• 13:55
  always
• 13:55
  tell
• 13:56
  people
• 13:56
  that's
• 13:56
  the
• 13:56
  secret
• 13:57
  right
• 13:57
  there
• 13:59
  is
• 13:59
  the.
• 13:59
  Is
• 13:59
  the
• 14:00
  don't
• 14:00
  be
• 14:00
  an
• 14:00
  asshole
• 14:01
  rule.
• 14:02
  Yeah.
• 14:02
  Yeah.
• 14:03
  And
• 14:03
  so
• 14:04
  it's
• 14:04
  kind
• 14:04
  of
• 14:04
  interesting,
• 14:04
  right?
• 14:05
  So,
• 14:05
  you
• 14:05
  know,
• 14:05
  you
• 14:05
  went
• 14:05
  from,
• 14:06
  you
• 14:06
  know,
• 14:06
  tying
• 14:06
  woolly
• 14:07
  boogers
• 14:07
  in
• 14:07
  a
• 14:07
  book.
• 14:08
  You
• 14:08
  know,
• 14:08
  you
• 14:08
  kind
• 14:09
  of
• 14:09
  found
• 14:09
  your
• 14:10
  tribe,
• 14:10
  right.
• 14:11
  In
• 14:11
  these
• 14:11
  early
• 14:12
  forums.
• 14:13
  It's
• 14:13
  kind
• 14:13
  of
• 14:13
  interesting
• 14:13
  because
• 14:13
  that's
• 14:14
  a
• 14:14
  very
• 14:15
  consistent
• 14:15
  refrain
• 14:16
  when
• 14:16
  I
• 14:16
  interview
• 14:16
  fly
• 14:17
  tires
• 14:17
  from
• 14:17
  like,
• 14:17
  say
• 14:18
  the
• 14:18
  2000s
• 14:19
  to
• 14:19
  the
• 14:19
  2010s
• 14:20
  is
• 14:20
  basically
• 14:20
  before,
• 14:21
  like
• 14:21
  Facebook
• 14:21
  groups
• 14:22
  kind
• 14:22
  of
• 14:22
  took
• 14:22
  all
• 14:22
  of
• 14:23
  that
• 14:23
  away.
• 14:23
  Right.
• 14:25
  But
• 14:25
  you
• 14:25
  know,
• 14:25
  how
• 14:26
  did
• 14:26
  you
• 14:26
  know
• 14:26
  all
• 14:27
  that
• 14:27
  kind
• 14:27
  of
• 14:27
  goes
• 14:27
  in
• 14:27
  and
• 14:28
  gets
• 14:28
  distilled
• 14:29
  down
• 14:29
  to,
• 14:29
  you
• 14:30
  know,
• 14:30
  kind
• 14:30
  of
• 14:30
  view
• 14:30
  as
• 14:30
  a
• 14:30
  tire
• 14:31
  today,
• 14:31
  you
• 14:31
  know,
• 14:31
  how
• 14:31
  do
• 14:32
  you
• 14:32
  describe
• 14:32
  your
• 14:32
  tying
• 14:33
  philosophy?
• 14:36
  You
• 14:36
  know,
• 14:36
  I
• 14:37
  think
• 14:37
  there's
• 14:38
  a
• 14:38
  couple
• 14:38
  things
• 14:38
  to
• 14:38
  think
• 14:38
  about.
• 14:42
  Something
• 14:43
  that,
• 14:43
  you
• 14:44
  know,
• 14:44
  Bobby
• 14:44
  always
• 14:45
  features,
• 14:45
  always
• 14:45
  have
• 14:46
  a
• 14:46
  purpose
• 14:46
  in
• 14:46
  what
• 14:47
  you're
• 14:47
  tying.
• 14:47
  You
• 14:48
  know,
• 14:48
  I
• 14:48
  like,
• 14:49
  I
• 14:49
  like
• 14:49
  nice
• 14:49
  things.
• 14:50
  I
• 14:50
  like
• 14:50
  a
• 14:50
  pretty
• 14:50
  fly,
• 14:51
  but
• 14:51
  there's
• 14:51
  always
• 14:52
  purpose,
• 14:53
  you
• 14:53
  know,
• 14:54
  um,
• 14:55
  and
• 14:55
  then
• 14:55
  from
• 14:56
  there,
• 14:57
  you
• 14:57
  know,
• 14:58
  after
• 14:58
  you
• 14:59
  can
• 14:59
  achieve
• 14:59
  your
• 14:59
  purpose,
• 15:01
  what's
• 15:01
  the
• 15:01
  most
• 15:01
  efficient
• 15:02
  way
• 15:02
  you
• 15:02
  can
• 15:02
  do
• 15:02
  it
• 15:05
  then?
• 15:05
  And
• 15:06
  then
• 15:06
  what's
• 15:06
  the
• 15:06
  most
• 15:07
  efficient
• 15:07
  way
• 15:07
  you
• 15:07
  can
• 15:07
  use
• 15:08
  the
• 15:08
  materials?
• 15:10
  That's
• 15:10
  it.
• 15:11
  That's
• 15:11
  still
• 15:11
  what
• 15:11
  I
• 15:11
  do.
• 15:12
  No
• 15:13
  matter
• 15:13
  if
• 15:13
  I'm
• 15:13
  tying,
• 15:15
  you
• 15:15
  know,
• 15:15
  dry
• 15:15
  flies
• 15:16
  or
• 15:17
  beach
• 15:17
  flies
• 15:18
  and
• 15:18
  everything
• 15:18
  in
• 15:18
  between,
• 15:19
  it's
• 15:19
  like,
• 15:21
  like,
• 15:21
  how
• 15:21
  can
• 15:21
  I
• 15:22
  make
• 15:22
  three
• 15:22
  less
• 15:22
  thread
• 15:22
  wraps?
• 15:23
  You
• 15:23
  know,
• 15:24
  how
• 15:24
  can
• 15:24
  I
• 15:24
  use
• 15:24
  less
• 15:24
  material?
• 15:25
  How
• 15:26
  can
• 15:26
  I
• 15:26
  get
• 15:26
  the
• 15:26
  fly
• 15:26
  to
• 15:27
  move
• 15:27
  better?
• 15:28
  How
• 15:28
  could
• 15:28
  I
• 15:29
  get
• 15:29
  the
• 15:29
  fly
• 15:29
  to
• 15:29
  float
• 15:29
  higher?
• 15:31
  What
• 15:31
  do
• 15:31
  I
• 15:31
  want
• 15:31
  this
• 15:32
  fly
• 15:32
  to
• 15:32
  do
• 15:33
  and
• 15:33
  why
• 15:33
  do
• 15:33
  I
• 15:33
  want
• 15:33
  it
• 15:34
  to
• 15:34
  do
• 15:34
  it?
• 15:35
  Yeah.
• 15:35
  Interesting
• 15:36
  too.
• 15:36
  I
• 15:36
  also
• 15:36
  would
• 15:36
  notice,
• 15:37
  I
• 15:37
  watched
• 15:37
  several
• 15:37
  of
• 15:38
  your
• 15:38
  tying
• 15:38
  videos
• 15:38
  on
• 15:39
  YouTube.
• 15:39
  You
• 15:40
  have
• 15:40
  a
• 15:40
  very
• 15:40
  relaxed
• 15:41
  tying
• 15:41
  style.
• 15:42
  Right.
• 15:43
  Like
• 15:44
  very
• 15:44
  methodical,
• 15:44
  very
• 15:45
  precise,
• 15:45
  but
• 15:45
  very
• 15:46
  relaxed.
• 15:47
  Right.
• 15:47
  I
• 15:47
  think,
• 15:48
  I
• 15:48
  think
• 15:48
  particularly
• 15:49
  the
• 15:49
  one
• 15:49
  that
• 15:49
  jumps
• 15:49
  out
• 15:49
  at
• 15:50
  me
• 15:50
  as
• 15:50
  I
• 15:50
  was
• 15:50
  watching
• 15:50
  you
• 15:51
  tie
• 15:51
  with
• 15:51
  the,
• 15:52
  the
• 15:52
  Foxtrich
• 15:55
  and
• 15:55
  just
• 15:55
  very
• 15:55
  interesting
• 15:56
  just
• 15:56
  to
• 15:56
  watch
• 15:56
  you,
• 15:57
  like
• 15:57
  placement,
• 15:58
  the
• 15:58
  way
• 15:58
  you
• 15:58
  cut,
• 15:58
  the
• 15:59
  way
• 15:59
  you
• 15:59
  prep
• 15:59
  the
• 15:59
  materials,
• 16:00
  just
• 16:01
  something
• 16:01
  different.
• 16:01
  I
• 16:02
  guess
• 16:02
  I
• 16:02
  noticed
• 16:02
  about
• 16:03
  you
• 16:03
  that
• 16:03
  I
• 16:03
  don't
• 16:03
  see

• 16:04
  lot
• 16:04
  of
• 16:04
  other
• 16:04
  tires
• 16:05
  that
• 16:05
  I
• 16:05
  watch.
• 16:06
  Oh,
• 16:07
  you
• 16:07
  know,
• 16:07
  I.
• 16:07
  It's
• 16:08
  like,
• 16:10
  you
• 16:10
  know,
• 16:10
  I
• 16:10
  grew
• 16:11
  up
• 16:11
  in
• 16:11
  the
• 16:11
  south
• 16:11
  but
• 16:11
  live
• 16:11
  in
• 16:11
  the
• 16:11
  northeast.
• 16:12
  And
• 16:12
  I
• 16:12
  remember
• 16:12
  I
• 16:13
  moved
• 16:13
  here,
• 16:14
  you
• 16:14
  know,
• 16:14
  a
• 16:15
  couple
• 16:15
  months
• 16:15
  in.
• 16:17
  You
• 16:18
  know,
• 16:19
  my
• 16:19
  mother
• 16:19
  asked
• 16:20
  me
• 16:20
  how
• 16:20
  things
• 16:21
  were
• 16:21
  going
• 16:22
  and
• 16:23
  I
• 16:23
  said
• 16:23
  good.
• 16:24
  I'm
• 16:24
  like,
• 16:24
  either
• 16:24
  things
• 16:25
  are
• 16:25
  slowing
• 16:25
  down
• 16:25
  or
• 16:25
  I'm
• 16:26
  speeding
• 16:26
  up.
• 16:28
  And
• 16:28
  she
• 16:28
  says
• 16:28
  it's
• 16:28
  probably
• 16:29
  you
• 16:29
  that's
• 16:29
  speeding
• 16:30
  up.
• 16:31
  But
• 16:31
  with
• 16:32
  that,
• 16:32
  you
• 16:32
  know,
• 16:32
  I
• 16:32
  still
• 16:33
  get
• 16:33
  people
• 16:33
  that'll
• 16:35
  look
• 16:35
  at
• 16:36
  me
• 16:36
  funny
• 16:36
  because
• 16:36
  I.
• 16:38
  And
• 16:38
  so
• 16:38
  just
• 16:39
  like
• 16:39
  now
• 16:40
  I.
• 16:40
  I
• 16:40
  try
• 16:41
  to
• 16:41
  think
• 16:41
  about
• 16:41
  what
• 16:41
  comes
• 16:41
  out
• 16:42
  of
• 16:42
  my
• 16:42
  mouth
• 16:42
  before
• 16:42
  I
• 16:42
  say
• 16:43
  it.
• 16:43
  It
• 16:43
  doesn't
• 16:43
  always
• 16:44
  work,
• 16:44
  especially
• 16:45
  when
• 16:45
  I'm
• 16:45
  dealing
• 16:45
  with
• 16:45
  my
• 16:45
  13
• 16:46
  year
• 16:46
  old
• 16:46
  stuff
• 16:47
  or
• 16:48
  in
• 16:48
  the
• 16:48
  heat
• 16:48
  of
• 16:48
  the
• 16:48
  moment.
• 16:49
  But
• 16:49
  I
• 16:49
  do
• 16:49
  the
• 16:49
  same
• 16:49
  thing
• 16:49
  in
• 16:50
  time.
• 16:50
  I
• 16:50
  try
• 16:50
  to
• 16:50
  like,
• 16:51
  have
• 16:52
  an
• 16:52
  idea
• 16:53
  of
• 16:55
  how
• 16:55
  do
• 16:55
  I
• 16:55
  get
• 16:56
  to
• 16:56
  the
• 16:56
  last
• 16:56
  step?
• 16:57
  Not
• 16:58
  how
• 16:58
  do
• 16:58
  I
• 16:58
  get
• 16:58
  from
• 16:58
  first
• 16:59
  step
• 16:59
  one
• 16:59
  to
• 16:59
  step
• 16:59
  two
• 17:00
  is.
• 17:00
  It's
• 17:01
  seven
• 17:02
  and
• 17:02
  then
• 17:02
  backwards.
• 17:04
  So
• 17:05
  in
• 17:05
  my
• 17:06
  head,
• 17:06
  when
• 17:06
  I'm
• 17:06
  Tying.
• 17:07
  It's
• 17:08
  relaxed
• 17:10
  for
• 17:10
  me
• 17:11
  because
• 17:11
  that's
• 17:11
  step
• 17:11
  five.
• 17:12
  I'm
• 17:12
  thinking
• 17:13
  about
• 17:13
  step
• 17:13
  eight.
• 17:14
  That
• 17:14
  makes
• 17:15
  sense.
• 17:16
  Yeah.
• 17:16
  It's
• 17:16
  also
• 17:16
  funny
• 17:17
  you
• 17:17
  say
• 17:17
  that.
• 17:17
  So
• 17:17
  I,
• 17:18
  in
• 17:18
  my
• 17:19
  legal
• 17:19
  career
• 17:19
  worked
• 17:20
  with
• 17:20
  a
• 17:20
  fair
• 17:20
  number
• 17:20
  of
• 17:20
  New
• 17:21
  Yorkers
• 17:21
  and
• 17:21
  they
• 17:21
  got
• 17:21
  very
• 17:22
  impatient
• 17:22
  with
• 17:22
  me
• 17:22
  that
• 17:23
  I
• 17:23
  wasn't
• 17:23
  fast
• 17:24
  enough
• 17:24
  for
• 17:24
  them.
• 17:25
  Yeah.
• 17:26
  But
• 17:27
  you
• 17:27
  know
• 17:27
  what?
• 17:27
  Anytime
• 17:28
  you
• 17:28
  make
• 17:28
  someone
• 17:29
  else
• 17:29
  slow
• 17:29
  down,
• 17:31
  you've
• 17:31
  done
• 17:31
  the
• 17:31
  right
• 17:31
  thing.
• 17:32
  Yeah.
• 17:33
  You
• 17:33
  brought
• 17:33
  him,
• 17:33
  brought
• 17:34
  him
• 17:34
  into
• 17:34
  your
• 17:34
  world.
• 17:35
  Yeah.
• 17:35
  So
• 17:35
  kind
• 17:36
  of
• 17:36
  a
• 17:36
  funny
• 17:36
  thing
• 17:36
  the,
• 17:37
  you
• 17:37
  know,
• 17:37
  and
• 17:37
  it's
• 17:37
  interesting.
• 17:38
  So,
• 17:38
  you
• 17:38
  know,
• 17:38
  you,
• 17:38
  you
• 17:39
  met,
• 17:39
  I
• 17:39
  guess,
• 17:39
  did
• 17:39
  you
• 17:39
  meet
• 17:40
  Popovics
• 17:40
  originally
• 17:41
  on
• 17:41
  the
• 17:41
  forums
• 17:41
  or
• 17:41
  did
• 17:42
  you
• 17:42
  meet
• 17:42
  him
• 17:42
  in
• 17:42
  a
• 17:42
  different
• 17:43
  way?
• 17:44
  So
• 17:45
  I
• 17:45
  met
• 17:45
  him
• 17:45
  on
• 17:46
  the
• 17:46
  forums
• 17:46
  and
• 17:46
  you
• 17:47
  know,
• 17:47
  he
• 17:47
  was
• 17:47
  an
• 17:47
  open
• 17:48
  book
• 17:48
  as
• 17:48
  he
• 17:49
  was
• 17:49
  with
• 17:49
  most
• 17:49
  everybody.
• 17:51
  And
• 17:52
  I
• 17:52
  remember
• 17:52
  the
• 17:52
  first
• 17:54
  Somerset
• 17:54
  show,
• 17:55
  after
• 17:55
  I
• 17:55
  had
• 17:55
  kind
• 17:56
  of
• 17:56
  joined
• 17:56
  the
• 17:56
  forums,
• 17:57
  I
• 17:57
  went
• 17:58
  to
• 17:58
  the
• 17:58
  show
• 17:58
  and
• 17:58
  I
• 17:58
  found
• 17:59
  him
• 17:59
  and
• 17:59
  introduced
• 17:59
  myself
• 18:00
  and
• 18:01
  immediately
• 18:01
  grabbed
• 18:02
  me
• 18:02
  and
• 18:02
  pulled
• 18:02
  me
• 18:02
  behind
• 18:02
  the
• 18:03
  table
• 18:03
  and
• 18:03
  just
• 18:03
  like,
• 18:04
  you
• 18:04
  know,
• 18:04
  unloaded
• 18:05
  just
• 18:06
  ideas
• 18:07
  and
• 18:07
  this.
• 18:08
  And
• 18:08
  I've
• 18:09
  seen
• 18:09
  what
• 18:09
  you've
• 18:09
  been
• 18:10
  doing
• 18:10
  here
• 18:10
  and
• 18:10
  there.
• 18:11
  And
• 18:11
  you
• 18:12
  know,
• 18:12
  what
• 18:12
  do
• 18:12
  you
• 18:12
  think
• 18:12
  of
• 18:12
  that?
• 18:13
  Right
• 18:14
  away
• 18:15
  we
• 18:15
  had
• 18:15
  a
• 18:15
  lot
• 18:15
  of
• 18:15
  common
• 18:16
  ground
• 18:18
  because
• 18:18
  I
• 18:18
  was
• 18:18
  in
• 18:18
  a
• 18:18
  restaurant
• 18:19
  door
• 18:19
  for
• 18:20
  a
• 18:20
  lot
• 18:20
  of
• 18:20
  years,
• 18:20
  just
• 18:21
  came
• 18:21
  up
• 18:21
  in
• 18:21
  restaurants,
• 18:22
  was
• 18:22
  a
• 18:22
  professional
• 18:22
  waiter
• 18:23
  for
• 18:23
  a
• 18:23
  lot
• 18:23
  of
• 18:23
  years,
• 18:23
  owned
• 18:24
  a
• 18:24
  restaurant
• 18:24
  or
• 18:24
  two.
• 18:26
  And
• 18:26
  you
• 18:27
  know,
• 18:27
  so
• 18:27
  that
• 18:27
  was
• 18:29
  pretty
• 18:29
  immediate
• 18:31
  bond
• 18:32
  that
• 18:32
  we
• 18:32
  had.
• 18:35
  And
• 18:36
  you
• 18:36
  know,
• 18:36
  that
• 18:36
  day
• 18:37
  he
• 18:37
  gave
• 18:37
  me
• 18:37
  his
• 18:37
  phone
• 18:38
  number
• 18:38
  and
• 18:38
  said,
• 18:38
  just
• 18:38
  call
• 18:39
  me
• 18:40
  if
• 18:40
  you're
• 18:40
  near
• 18:40
  my
• 18:40
  house
• 18:41
  and
• 18:41
  your
• 18:41
  pushing,
• 18:41
  just
• 18:41
  call
• 18:42
  me.
• 18:43
  And
• 18:44
  that's
• 18:44
  how
• 18:44
  our
• 18:44
  friendship
• 18:44
  started.
• 18:45
  Yeah.
• 18:46
  And
• 18:46
  were
• 18:46
  you,
• 18:47
  did
• 18:47
  you
• 18:47
  meet
• 18:47
  him
• 18:48
  kind
• 18:48
  of
• 18:48
  early
• 18:48
  enough
• 18:48
  that
• 18:49
  he
• 18:49
  was
• 18:49
  still
• 18:49
  doing
• 18:49
  those
• 18:50
  big
• 18:50
  gatherings
• 18:51
  at
• 18:51
  his
• 18:51
  house
• 18:51
  up
• 18:51
  in
• 18:51
  his
• 18:52
  tying
• 18:52
  room?
• 18:54
  No.
• 18:55
  So
• 18:55
  I
• 18:55
  think
• 18:56
  that
• 18:56
  the,
• 18:57
  the
• 18:58
  club
• 18:58
  had
• 18:59
  had
• 18:59
  outgrown
• 18:59
  that,
• 19:00
  you
• 19:01
  know,
• 19:01
  some
• 19:01
  years
• 19:02
  before.
• 19:04
  But
• 19:04
  no,
• 19:05
  I,
• 19:05
  I,
• 19:06
  any
• 19:06
  of
• 19:06
  those
• 19:09
  meetings
• 19:10
  I
• 19:10
  went
• 19:10
  to
• 19:10
  were
• 19:11
  always
• 19:11
  at
• 19:11
  a
• 19:11
  restaurant
• 19:12
  or
• 19:12
  another
• 19:12
  meeting
• 19:13
  place.
• 19:14
  Yeah.
• 19:14
  Interesting.
• 19:15
  And
• 19:15
  so,
• 19:15
  you
• 19:15
  know,
• 19:15
  I
• 19:15
  kind
• 19:15
  of
• 19:15
  think
• 19:16
  of
• 19:16
  like,
• 19:16
  you
• 19:16
  know,
• 19:17
  people
• 19:17
  that
• 19:18
  tie
• 19:18
  a
• 19:18
  lot
• 19:19
  of
• 19:20
  Bob
• 19:20
  style's
• 19:20
  flies.
• 19:21
  I
• 19:21
  think
• 19:21
  of
• 19:21
  you,
• 19:22
  I
• 19:22
  think
• 19:22
  of
• 19:22
  kind
• 19:22
  of,
• 19:23
  you
• 19:23
  know,
• 19:23
  Ben
• 19:23
  Whalley
• 19:24
  is
• 19:24
  another
• 19:24
  person
• 19:24
  that
• 19:24
  kind
• 19:24
  of
• 19:25
  jumps
• 19:25
  out.
• 19:25
  You
• 19:26
  know,
• 19:26
  one
• 19:26
  of
• 19:26
  the
• 19:26
  kind
• 19:26
  of
• 19:27
  the
• 19:27
  interesting
• 19:27
  things
• 19:27
  is,
• 19:29
  you
• 19:29
  know,
• 19:29
  we
• 19:30
  know
• 19:30
  he
• 19:30
  was,
• 19:30
  to
• 19:31
  your
• 19:31
  point,
• 19:31
  we
• 19:31
  were
• 19:31
  talking
• 19:31
  about
• 19:32
  earlier,
• 19:32
  he
• 19:32
  was
• 19:32
  trying
• 19:32
  to
• 19:32
  solve
• 19:33
  the
• 19:33
  kind
• 19:33
  of
• 19:33
  the
• 19:33
  size
• 19:34
  and
• 19:34
  castability
• 19:34
  problem
• 19:35
  with
• 19:35
  the
• 19:35
  hollowfly
• 19:36
  design.
• 19:37
  But,
• 19:38
  you
• 19:38
  know,
• 19:38
  that,
• 19:38
  that,
• 19:38
  that
• 19:39
  fly
• 19:39
  design
• 19:39
  has
• 19:39
  been
• 19:40
  around
• 19:40
  for
• 19:40
  a
• 19:40
  very
• 19:40
  long
• 19:41
  time.
• 19:41
  And
• 19:41
  I'm
• 19:41
  kind
• 19:41
  of
• 19:42
  curious
• 19:42
  your
• 19:42
  thoughts
• 19:43
  on,
• 19:43
  you
• 19:44
  know,
• 19:44
  what's
• 19:44
  made
• 19:44
  it
• 19:45
  such
• 19:45
  a
• 19:46
  durable
• 19:46
  kind
• 19:47
  of
• 19:47
  system
• 19:47
  and
• 19:48
  platform.
• 19:49
  For
• 19:49
  tying,
• 19:50
  you
• 19:50
  know,
• 19:50
  larger
• 19:51
  profile
• 19:51
  flies.
• 19:54
  You
• 19:54
  know,
• 19:54
  it's
• 19:54
  the,
• 19:54
  it's
• 19:55
  again
• 19:56
  Bob,
• 19:56
  it's
• 19:57
  the
• 19:57
  whole
• 19:57
  Christmas
• 19:57
  tree
• 19:57
  thing.
• 19:59
  You
• 19:59
  know,
• 19:59
  you
• 19:59
  can,
• 20:01
  it's
• 20:01
  Christmas,
• 20:02
  you
• 20:02
  have
• 20:02
  to
• 20:02
  go
• 20:03
  get
• 20:03
  a
• 20:03
  tree.
• 20:03
  You
• 20:04
  know,
• 20:04
  without
• 20:04
  a
• 20:04
  tree
• 20:06
  you
• 20:06
  don't
• 20:06
  have
• 20:06
  anything.
• 20:07
  With
• 20:08
  that
• 20:08
  kind
• 20:08
  of
• 20:08
  baseline
• 20:09
  shape
• 20:09
  of
• 20:09
  a
• 20:09
  tree.
• 20:12
  As
• 20:12
  long
• 20:12
  as
• 20:12
  you
• 20:12
  have
• 20:12
  the
• 20:12
  tree,
• 20:13
  you
• 20:13
  can
• 20:13
  do
• 20:13
  whatever
• 20:13
  you
• 20:13
  want
• 20:13
  with
• 20:14
  it.
• 20:14
  You
• 20:14
  can
• 20:14
  trim
• 20:14
  it,
• 20:14
  you
• 20:15
  can
• 20:16
  dress
• 20:16
  it,
• 20:18
  you
• 20:18
  can
• 20:19
  do
• 20:20
  whatever
• 20:20
  you
• 20:20
  want
• 20:20
  with
• 20:20
  it,
• 20:21
  you
• 20:21
  know,
• 20:24
  so
• 20:25
  in
• 20:26
  my
• 20:26
  eyes,
• 20:26
  and
• 20:27
  you
• 20:27
  know,
• 20:27
  maybe
• 20:27
  I'm
• 20:28
  sharing
• 20:28
  some
• 20:28
  of
• 20:28
  his
• 20:28
  sentiments
• 20:29
  as
• 20:29
  well
• 20:30
  and
• 20:30
  all
• 20:31
  of
• 20:31
  his
• 20:31
  patterns
• 20:32
  were
• 20:34
  again
• 20:34
  probably
• 20:35
  started
• 20:36
  way
• 20:36
  more
• 20:36
  difficulty,
• 20:38
  way
• 20:38
  more
• 20:39
  difficult
• 20:39
  to
• 20:39
  tie
• 20:40
  than
• 20:40
  what
• 20:40
  it
• 20:41
  got
• 20:41
  distilled
• 20:41
  down
• 20:41
  to.
• 20:42
  But
• 20:42
  that
• 20:43
  final
• 20:43
  distillation
• 20:44
  left
• 20:44
  so
• 20:45
  much
• 20:45
  room
• 20:45
  for
• 20:45
  adaptation
• 20:47
  that
• 20:48
  in
• 20:48
  its
• 20:48
  simplest
• 20:48
  form,
• 20:49
  the
• 20:49
  hollow
• 20:49
  fly
• 20:49
  with
• 20:50
  like
• 20:50
  three
• 20:50
  collars
• 20:52
  is
• 20:52
  a
• 20:53
  five
• 20:53
  minute
• 20:53
  time
• 20:55
  fish,
• 20:55
  you
• 20:55
  know,
• 20:56
  for
• 20:56
  anything.
• 20:57
  But
• 20:58
  you
• 20:58
  can
• 20:58
  expand
• 20:58
  upon
• 20:59
  it,
• 20:59
  you
• 20:59
  know,
• 21:00
  both
• 21:01
  the
• 21:01
  fly
• 21:01
  itself
• 21:01
  but
• 21:02
  also
• 21:02
  just
• 21:02
  the
• 21:02
  technique,
• 21:03
  you
• 21:03
  know,
• 21:04
  translates
• 21:04
  to
• 21:04
  a
• 21:04
  variety
• 21:05
  of
• 21:05
  materials.
• 21:10
  The
• 21:10
  function
• 21:10
  of
• 21:12
  the
• 21:12
  hollow
• 21:13
  in
• 21:14
  itself
• 21:15
  does
• 21:15
  a
• 21:16
  lot
• 21:16
  more
• 21:16
  than
• 21:16
  just
• 21:17
  profile.
• 21:17
  You
• 21:18
  know,
• 21:19
  it's
• 21:19
  probably
• 21:20
  the
• 21:20
  best,
• 21:21
  you
• 21:22
  know,
• 21:22
  steelhead
• 21:22
  or
• 21:23
  salmon
• 21:23
  guys,
• 21:23
  we
• 21:23
  call
• 21:23
  them
• 21:24
  props,
• 21:24
  you
• 21:25
  know,
• 21:25
  where
• 21:25
  you
• 21:26
  want
• 21:26
  to
• 21:26
  bail
• 21:26
  another
• 21:26
  material
• 21:27
  over
• 21:27
  something
• 21:28
  but
• 21:28
  you
• 21:28
  need
• 21:28
  something
• 21:28
  underneath
• 21:29
  it
• 21:29
  to
• 21:29
  give
• 21:29
  it
• 21:30
  the
• 21:30
  illusion
• 21:31
  or
• 21:31
  give
• 21:31
  it
• 21:32
  support.
• 21:34
  Something
• 21:35
  hollow
• 21:35
  underneath
• 21:36
  is
• 21:36
  probably
• 21:37
  the
• 21:37
  best
• 21:37
  way
• 21:37
  to
• 21:37
  do
• 21:38
  it.
• 21:40
  So
• 21:40
  again,
• 21:40
  I
• 21:40
  think
• 21:41
  just
• 21:41
  the
• 21:42
  simplicity
• 21:43
  and
• 21:44
  functionality
• 21:46
  and
• 21:46
  this
• 21:46
  kind
• 21:46
  of
• 21:47
  opens
• 21:47
  it
• 21:47
  up
• 21:47
  after
• 21:48
  that,
• 21:48
  you
• 21:49
  know,
• 21:49
  it'll,
• 21:49
  it'll.
• 21:52
  I
• 21:52
  always
• 21:52
  said
• 21:53
  it's
• 21:53
  a
• 21:53
  future
• 21:53
  classic,
• 21:54
  you
• 21:54
  know,
• 21:54
  20
• 21:54
  years
• 21:55
  from
• 21:55
  now,
• 21:55
  guys,
• 21:55
  if
• 21:55
  you're
• 21:55
  still
• 21:57
  struggle
• 21:57
  to
• 21:57
  tie
• 21:57
  them
• 21:57
  at
• 21:58
  first
• 21:58
  and
• 21:58
  then
• 21:58
  break
• 21:59
  through
• 21:59
  and
• 21:59
  then
• 22:01
  expound
• 22:01
  upon
• 22:02
  them
• 22:02
  like
• 22:03
  infinitely.
• 22:05
  And
• 22:06
  that's
• 22:06
  what
• 22:06
  he
• 22:06
  always
• 22:06
  wanted.
• 22:07
  What
• 22:07
  he
• 22:07
  always
• 22:08
  wanted
• 22:08
  was
• 22:09
  for
• 22:09
  someone
• 22:09
  to
• 22:09
  take
• 22:09
  something
• 22:09
  he
• 22:10
  had
• 22:10
  done
• 22:10
  in
• 22:10
  his
• 22:10
  baseline
• 22:11
  and
• 22:11
  then
• 22:11
  make
• 22:12
  it
• 22:12
  their
• 22:12
  own.
• 22:13
  Yeah,
• 22:13
  you
• 22:14
  know,
• 22:14
  it's
• 22:14
  interesting.
• 22:14
  You
• 22:14
  know,
• 22:14
  I'm
• 22:15
  kind
• 22:15
  of
• 22:15
  working
• 22:15
  on
• 22:15
  this
• 22:15
  kind
• 22:16
  of
• 22:16
  streamer
• 22:16
  project
• 22:17
  and
• 22:17
  I
• 22:17
  mean
• 22:17
  I
• 22:17
  kind
• 22:18
  of
• 22:18
  see
• 22:19
  that
• 22:19
  progression
• 22:20
  right
• 22:20
  from
• 22:20
  like
• 22:20
  clausers
• 22:21
  and
• 22:21
  deceivers
• 22:21
  and
• 22:22
  you
• 22:22
  got,
• 22:23
  you
• 22:23
  know,
• 22:23
  people
• 22:23
  starting
• 22:24
  to
• 22:24
  work
• 22:24
  on
• 22:24
  that
• 22:24
  kind
• 22:24
  of
• 22:25
  size
• 22:25
  and
• 22:25
  castability
• 22:26
  problem.
• 22:26
  And
• 22:26
  you
• 22:27
  know,
• 22:27
  you've
• 22:27
  got
• 22:28
  the
• 22:28
  hollow
• 22:28
  fly
• 22:28
  designs,
• 22:29
  you've
• 22:29
  got
• 22:29
  kind
• 22:30
  of
• 22:30
  the
• 22:30
  slammer
• 22:30
  design,
• 22:31
  but
• 22:31
  it's
• 22:31
  kind
• 22:31
  of
• 22:31
  interesting
• 22:32
  and
• 22:32
  then
• 22:32
  you
• 22:32
  see
• 22:32
  how
• 22:32
  that
• 22:32
  kind
• 22:33
  of
• 22:33
  moves
• 22:33
  into
• 22:33
  like
• 22:33
  the
• 22:34
  t
• 22:34
  bone
• 22:34
  into
• 22:34
  the
• 22:35
  game
• 22:35
  changer.
• 22:35
  I
• 22:35
  mean
• 22:36
  it's,
• 22:36
  I
• 22:36
  don't
• 22:36
  know,
• 22:37
  you
• 22:37
  know,
• 22:37
  I'm
• 22:37
  a
• 22:38
  bit
• 22:38
  of
• 22:38
  a
• 22:38
  fly
• 22:38
  fishing
• 22:39
  nerd.
• 22:39
  So
• 22:39
  I
• 22:39
  think
• 22:39
  that's
• 22:39
  super
• 22:40
  interesting.
• 22:40
  Right?
• 22:41
  No,
• 22:41
  as
• 22:41
  well
• 22:42
  as
• 22:42
  well.
• 22:42
  Yeah.
• 22:43
  And
• 22:43
  so,
• 22:43
  you
• 22:43
  know,
• 22:44
  you
• 22:44
  talk
• 22:44
  about
• 22:44
  kind
• 22:45
  of
• 22:45
  the,
• 22:45
  the
• 22:46
  longevity
• 22:46
  of
• 22:47
  the
• 22:47
  platform
• 22:47
  and,
• 22:48
  you
• 22:48
  know,
• 22:48
  how
• 22:49
  it
• 22:49
  lends
• 22:50
  itself
• 22:50
  to
• 22:51
  kind
• 22:51
  of
• 22:52
  modification,
• 22:52
  improvisation.
• 22:55
  You
• 22:55
  know,
• 22:55
  tell
• 22:55
  me
• 22:56
  a
• 22:56
  little
• 22:56
  bit
• 22:56
  about
• 22:56
  kind
• 22:56
  of
• 22:57
  how
• 22:57
  you've
• 22:57
  evolved
• 22:58
  some
• 22:58
  of
• 22:58
  Bob's
• 22:59
  more
• 22:59
  popular
• 22:59
  patterns
• 23:00
  in
• 23:00
  your
• 23:00
  own
• 23:01
  way.
• 23:05
  Man,
• 23:06
  that's
• 23:06
  hard
• 23:06
  to
• 23:06
  answer
• 23:06
  without
• 23:07
  sounding
• 23:07
  vain.
• 23:12
  It's
• 23:13
  all
• 23:13
  pretty
• 23:13
  stream
• 23:13
  of
• 23:14
  consciousness,
• 23:14
  you
• 23:14
  know,
• 23:14
  Like,
• 23:15
  I
• 23:15
  took
• 23:15
  a
• 23:15
  lot
• 23:15
  of
• 23:17
  things
• 23:17
  that
• 23:18
  David
• 23:18
  Nelson
• 23:19
  kind
• 23:19
  of
• 23:19
  played
• 23:19
  with
• 23:19
  and
• 23:20
  showed
• 23:20
  me
• 23:21
  he
• 23:22
  got
• 23:22
  from
• 23:22
  a
• 23:22
  guy
• 23:22
  named
• 23:23
  Paul
• 23:23
  Miller
• 23:25
  who
• 23:26
  was
• 23:26
  using
• 23:26
  a
• 23:26
  lot
• 23:26
  of,
• 23:26
  like,
• 23:27
  feathers,
• 23:27
  whether
• 23:27
  it
• 23:27
  be
• 23:28
  ostrich
• 23:30
  or
• 23:30
  peacock,
• 23:33
  and
• 23:34
  making
• 23:35
  large
• 23:38
  patterns
• 23:40
  using
• 23:40
  the
• 23:40
  same
• 23:40
  techniques
• 23:41
  you'd
• 23:41
  find
• 23:41
  in
• 23:42
  salmon
• 23:42
  flies.
• 23:43
  We're
• 23:43
  just
• 23:43
  using
• 23:43
  larger,
• 23:44
  larger
• 23:44
  animals.
• 23:45
  Right.
• 23:50
  So
• 23:50
  for
• 23:50
  me,
• 23:50
  I
• 23:51
  was
• 23:51
  always
• 23:52
  enamored
• 23:53
  with
• 23:54
  anything
• 23:55
  classic.
• 23:55
  You
• 23:56
  know,
• 23:58
  I'm
• 23:59
  still
• 23:59
  that
• 23:59
  way.
• 23:59
  And
• 24:00
  I
• 24:00
  like
• 24:01
  old
• 24:01
  things,
• 24:01
  and
• 24:02
  I
• 24:02
  think
• 24:02
  anything
• 24:02
  that's
• 24:04
  old
• 24:04
  will
• 24:04
  be
• 24:05
  new
• 24:05
  again
• 24:06
  at
• 24:06
  some
• 24:06
  point.
• 24:08
  So,
• 24:08
  you
• 24:09
  know,
• 24:10
  in
• 24:10
  the
• 24:10
  hollows
• 24:11
  or
• 24:11
  the
• 24:11
  beast
• 24:12
  fly,
• 24:13
  you
• 24:13
  know,
• 24:13
  I
• 24:13
  took
• 24:15
  where
• 24:16
  Bob
• 24:16
  would
• 24:17
  take
• 24:17
  the
• 24:17
  mono
• 24:17
  and
• 24:19
  obviously
• 24:20
  do
• 24:20
  hollows
• 24:21
  down
• 24:21
  the,
• 24:21
  down
• 24:21
  the
• 24:21
  mono.
• 24:23
  I
• 24:23
  wanted
• 24:24
  to
• 24:24
  work
• 24:24
  ostrich,
• 24:24
  and
• 24:24
  I
• 24:25
  was
• 24:25
  tying
• 24:25
  ostrich
• 24:26
  as
• 24:26
  I
• 24:26
  went.
• 24:27
  And
• 24:27
  then
• 24:27
  one
• 24:27
  day
• 24:27
  to
• 24:27
  kind
• 24:27
  of
• 24:28
  hit
• 24:28
  me,
• 24:28
  the
• 24:28
  pull
• 24:28
  me
• 24:29
  ostrich
• 24:29
  down
• 24:29
  the
• 24:29
  mono.
• 24:31
  And
• 24:31
  it
• 24:31
  worked
• 24:31
  like
• 24:31
  a
• 24:31
  charm.
• 24:32
  Literally,
• 24:32
  the
• 24:32
  first
• 24:32
  time
• 24:33
  I
• 24:33
  did
• 24:33
  it,
• 24:33
  it
• 24:33
  was
• 24:33
  like
• 24:33
  one
• 24:33
  of
• 24:33
  those
• 24:34
  stream
• 24:34
  of
• 24:34
  consciousness
• 24:35
  things
• 24:35
  that
• 24:37
  I
• 24:37
  saw
• 24:37
  it.
• 24:38
  I,
• 24:38
  I
• 24:38
  knew
• 24:38
  it
• 24:39
  would
• 24:39
  work
• 24:40
  before
• 24:40
  I
• 24:40
  sat
• 24:41
  down
• 24:41
  to
• 24:41
  tie
• 24:41
  it
• 24:41
  and
• 24:42
  I,
• 24:42
  I
• 24:43
  did.
• 24:43
  It
• 24:43
  came
• 24:44
  out
• 24:44
  exactly
• 24:44
  like
• 24:44
  it
• 24:44
  was
• 24:45
  in
• 24:45
  my
• 24:45
  head.
• 24:49
  And
• 24:49
  I
• 24:49
  don't,
• 24:49
  I
• 24:49
  don't
• 24:50
  preach
• 24:50
  that
• 24:50
  pattern
• 24:51
  a
• 24:51
  lot
• 24:51
  because
• 24:51
  it's
• 24:51
  not
• 24:52
  the
• 24:52
  easiest
• 24:52
  thing
• 24:52
  in
• 24:52
  the
• 24:52
  world
• 24:52
  at
• 24:52
  the
• 24:53
  T,
• 24:53
  but
• 24:54
  I
• 24:54
  knew
• 24:54
  it
• 24:54
  would
• 24:54
  work
• 24:54
  and
• 24:54
  it
• 24:55
  did.
• 24:57
  And
• 24:57
  Bob
• 24:58
  had
• 24:58
  a
• 24:58
  great
• 24:58
  appreciation
• 24:59
  for
• 24:59
  that
• 24:59
  because
• 24:59
  of,
• 25:00
  you
• 25:00
  know,
• 25:01
  the
• 25:01
  techniques
• 25:01
  were
• 25:01
  sound
• 25:03
  and
• 25:03
  it
• 25:03
  didn't
• 25:04
  stray
• 25:04
  away
• 25:04
  from
• 25:05
  the
• 25:05
  Christmas
• 25:05
  tree
• 25:05
  so
• 25:06
  much
• 25:08
  that
• 25:08
  the
• 25:08
  shape
• 25:09
  was
• 25:09
  still
• 25:09
  intact,
• 25:09
  the
• 25:10
  idea
• 25:10
  was
• 25:10
  still
• 25:10
  intact.
• 25:10
  And
• 25:11
  the
• 25:11
  whole
• 25:11
  idea
• 25:11
  of
• 25:12
  having
• 25:12
  materials
• 25:14
  tied
• 25:17
  perpendicular
• 25:20
  versus
• 25:21
  parallel
• 25:21
  with
• 25:21
  a
• 25:21
  shank
• 25:23
  is
• 25:23
  basically
• 25:23
  what
• 25:23
  I
• 25:24
  was
• 25:24
  doing
• 25:24
  there.
• 25:26
  That's
• 25:26
  how
• 25:26
  that,
• 25:26
  that
• 25:27
  one
• 25:27
  translated.
• 25:30
  Another
• 25:30
  thing
• 25:31
  I
• 25:31
  really
• 25:31
  started
• 25:31
  doing
• 25:33
  early
• 25:33
  on
• 25:34
  the
• 25:35
  semper
• 25:35
  fly,
• 25:35
  which
• 25:35
  took,
• 25:38
  you
• 25:38
  know,
• 25:39
  a
• 25:39
  group
• 25:39
  of
• 25:39
  saddles
• 25:40
  in
• 25:40
  the
• 25:40
  back
• 25:40
  of
• 25:40
  the
• 25:40
  fly,
• 25:41
  which
• 25:41
  is
• 25:41
  the
• 25:41
  easiest
• 25:41
  part.
• 25:43
  And
• 25:43
  then
• 25:43
  there
• 25:43
  was,
• 25:43
  you
• 25:44
  know,
• 25:44
  both
• 25:45
  time
• 25:45
  consuming
• 25:45
  and
• 25:46
  material
• 25:47
  dependent
• 25:47
  from
• 25:48
  the
• 25:48
  flies.
• 25:49
  Palmer
• 25:49
  Webby
• 25:50
  feathers.
• 25:50
  And
• 25:50
  you
• 25:51
  can,
• 25:51
  you
• 25:51
  can
• 25:51
  plumber,
• 25:54
  you
• 25:54
  know,
• 25:54
  five
• 25:55
  or
• 25:55
  you
• 25:55
  could
• 25:55
  Palmer
• 25:56
  15,
• 25:56
  depending
• 25:57
  on
• 25:57
  what
• 25:58
  the
• 25:58
  feathers
• 25:58
  were
• 25:59
  and
• 25:59
  how
• 25:59
  consistent
• 26:00
  they
• 26:00
  were
• 26:00
  in
• 26:00
  size.
• 26:03
  And
• 26:03
  this.
• 26:05
  I
• 26:05
  started
• 26:06
  getting
• 26:06
  to
• 26:06
  that
• 26:06
  pattern
• 26:06
  right
• 26:07
  about
• 26:07
  the
• 26:07
  time
• 26:07
  all
• 26:07
  these
• 26:07
  fly
• 26:08
  tying
• 26:08
  brushes
• 26:09
  kind
• 26:09
  of
• 26:09
  came
• 26:09
  to
• 26:09
  light.
• 26:10
  All
• 26:10
  these
• 26:10
  commercially
• 26:10
  available
• 26:11
  brushes
• 26:11
  were,
• 26:12
  were
• 26:12
  available.
• 26:13
  So
• 26:13
  I
• 26:13
  started
• 26:13
  replacing
• 26:13
  the
• 26:14
  front
• 26:14
  of
• 26:14
  those
• 26:15
  flies
• 26:15
  with,
• 26:15
  with
• 26:16
  brushes
• 26:16
  because,
• 26:17
  you
• 26:17
  know,
• 26:19
  one,
• 26:19
  it
• 26:20
  would
• 26:20
  take
• 26:21
  infinitely
• 26:22
  less
• 26:22
  time
• 26:23
  and
• 26:23
  two,
• 26:27
  I
• 26:27
  could
• 26:27
  reach
• 26:27
  in
• 26:28
  a
• 26:28
  package
• 26:28
  and,
• 26:28
  and,
• 26:29
  and
• 26:29
  grab
• 26:29
  it
• 26:30
  and
• 26:30
  knew
• 26:30
  exactly
• 26:30
  how
• 26:30
  it
• 26:30
  was
• 26:30
  going
• 26:31
  to
• 26:31
  turn
• 26:31
  out.
• 26:31
  So
• 26:32
  this,
• 26:32
  a
• 26:32
  brush
• 26:33
  front
• 26:33
  or
• 26:33
  the
• 26:33
  super
• 26:34
  fly
• 26:36
  was
• 26:36
  another
• 26:36
  one
• 26:37
  that
• 26:37
  I,
• 26:38
  I
• 26:38
  mean,
• 26:38
  as
• 26:38
  far
• 26:39
  as
• 26:39
  I
• 26:39
  know,
• 26:39
  I
• 26:39
  was
• 26:39
  the
• 26:39
  first
• 26:39
  person
• 26:40
  to
• 26:40
  kind
• 26:40
  of
• 26:40
  do
• 26:40
  that.
• 26:43
  Surf
• 26:44
  candy,
• 26:45
  probably
• 26:45
  another
• 26:45
  one
• 26:45
  that
• 26:46
  I,
• 26:46
  I've
• 26:46
  played
• 26:47
  with.
• 26:49
  I
• 26:50
  had
• 26:50
  this
• 26:50
  theory
• 26:51
  about,
• 26:51
  you
• 26:51
  know,
• 26:52
  guys
• 26:52
  talk
• 26:52
  about
• 26:52
  albies
• 26:53
  getting
• 26:53
  finicky.
• 26:54
  It's
• 26:54
  probably
• 26:55
  the
• 26:55
  first
• 26:55
  time
• 26:55
  I
• 26:55
  really
• 26:55
  said
• 26:56
  this
• 26:56
  out
• 26:56
  loud
• 26:56
  publicly.
• 26:58
  But
• 26:58
  my
• 26:59
  theory
• 26:59
  was
• 26:59
  not
• 27:00
  that
• 27:01
  the
• 27:01
  fish
• 27:01
  were
• 27:01
  finicky
• 27:03
  because
• 27:03
  it
• 27:03
  always
• 27:03
  coincided
• 27:04
  with
• 27:04
  like
• 27:05
  calm
• 27:06
  water
• 27:06
  or
• 27:07
  glassy
• 27:07
  conditions.
• 27:09
  My
• 27:09
  thought
• 27:10
  was
• 27:10
  bait
• 27:10
  wasn't
• 27:11
  getting
• 27:11
  pushed.
• 27:11
  Around.
• 27:13
  Until
• 27:14
  when
• 27:14
  bait's
• 27:14
  not
• 27:14
  getting
• 27:15
  pushed
• 27:15
  around,
• 27:17
  it's
• 27:17
  neutral
• 27:18
  and
• 27:19
  buoyancy.
• 27:21
  The
• 27:21
  fish
• 27:21
  can't
• 27:22
  tell
• 27:22
  that
• 27:22
  when
• 27:22
  it's
• 27:23
  ripping
• 27:24
  through
• 27:24
  a
• 27:24
  current.
• 27:24
  But
• 27:25
  like
• 27:25
  in
• 27:25
  slick
• 27:26
  column
• 27:26
  condition,
• 27:26
  the
• 27:26
  fish
• 27:27
  can
• 27:27
  tell
• 27:27
  that.
• 27:28
  So
• 27:28
  I
• 27:28
  started
• 27:29
  playing
• 27:30
  with
• 27:31
  Bob's
• 27:32
  flex
• 27:32
  fly,
• 27:32
  which
• 27:32
  is
• 27:33
  kind
• 27:33
  of
• 27:33
  hung
• 27:33
  in
• 27:33
  the
• 27:33
  water
• 27:34
  column
• 27:34
  only
• 27:34
  because
• 27:34
  the
• 27:35
  fibers
• 27:35
  of
• 27:35
  tapping
• 27:36
  air
• 27:37
  in
• 27:37
  this
• 27:37
  kind
• 27:37
  of
• 27:37
  hollow
• 27:38
  body
• 27:38
  and
• 27:38
  they
• 27:39
  would
• 27:39
  eventually
• 27:39
  sink
• 27:40
  and
• 27:41
  you
• 27:41
  know,
• 27:41
  you
• 27:42
  false
• 27:42
  cast
• 27:42
  and
• 27:42
  the
• 27:42
  air
• 27:43
  would
• 27:43
  come
• 27:43
  out
• 27:43
  of
• 27:43
  them.
• 27:43
  And
• 27:44
  those
• 27:44
  seem
• 27:44
  to
• 27:45
  be
• 27:45
  more
• 27:45
  effective
• 27:47
  when
• 27:49
  those
• 27:49
  fish
• 27:49
  were
• 27:49
  kind
• 27:49
  of
• 27:50
  finicky.
• 27:51
  And
• 27:51
  then
• 27:52
  from
• 27:52
  there
• 27:52
  I
• 27:52
  started
• 27:52
  tying.
• 27:53
  Like,
• 27:53
  how
• 27:53
  can
• 27:53
  I
• 27:53
  get
• 27:54
  this
• 27:54
  consistent?
• 27:54
  Like,
• 27:55
  how
• 27:55
  can
• 27:55
  I
• 27:55
  make
• 27:55
  this
• 27:57
  fly
• 27:57
  hover
• 27:57
  the
• 27:58
  whole
• 27:58
  time,
• 27:58
  not
• 27:59
  just
• 27:59
  for
• 27:59
  the
• 27:59
  first
• 27:59
  couple
• 28:00
  strips
• 28:00
  or,
• 28:01
  you
• 28:01
  know,
• 28:02
  the
• 28:02
  first
• 28:02
  couple
• 28:02
  casts?
• 28:03
  So
• 28:03
  I
• 28:04
  played
• 28:04
  and
• 28:04
  played.
• 28:05
  So
• 28:06
  I
• 28:06
  found
• 28:06
  the
• 28:06
  right
• 28:06
  amount
• 28:06
  of
• 28:06
  foam
• 28:07
  to
• 28:07
  put
• 28:07
  underneath
• 28:08
  the
• 28:08
  hard
• 28:08
  body,
• 28:09
  make
• 28:09
  the
• 28:09
  fly
• 28:09
  kind
• 28:10
  of
• 28:10
  either
• 28:10
  float
• 28:12
  or
• 28:12
  sit
• 28:12
  a
• 28:13
  little
• 28:13
  bit
• 28:13
  below
• 28:13
  the
• 28:13
  surface.
• 28:15
  And
• 28:15
  then
• 28:15
  when
• 28:15
  you
• 28:15
  pair
• 28:15
  that
• 28:15
  with
• 28:16
  an
• 28:16
  intermediate
• 28:16
  line,
• 28:18
  you
• 28:18
  know,
• 28:18
  the
• 28:18
  bait
• 28:18
  seems
• 28:19
  like
• 28:19
  it's
• 28:19
  being
• 28:19
  dragged
• 28:19
  down
• 28:20
  and
• 28:20
  struggling
• 28:20
  to
• 28:20
  get
• 28:20
  up.
• 28:21
  Looks
• 28:21
  just
• 28:22
  naturally,
• 28:23
  you
• 28:23
  know,
• 28:23
  neutrally
• 28:24
  buoyant.
• 28:24
  Naturally,
• 28:25
  neutrally
• 28:25
  buoyant.
• 28:28
  And
• 28:28
  those
• 28:28
  flies
• 28:29
  destroy
• 28:29
  this.
• 28:29
  I
• 28:30
  mean,
• 28:30
  that's
• 28:30
  really
• 28:30
  one
• 28:31
  of
• 28:31
  the
• 28:31
  most
• 28:31
  effective
• 28:31
  patterns
• 28:32
  when
• 28:32
  those
• 28:32
  fish
• 28:32
  get,
• 28:33
  you
• 28:33
  know,
• 28:34
  interesting.
• 28:35
  And
• 28:35
  so,
• 28:35
  you
• 28:35
  know,
• 28:36
  but
• 28:36
  it's
• 28:36
  interesting
• 28:37
  too
• 28:37
  because,
• 28:37
  you
• 28:37
  know,
• 28:38
  even
• 28:38
  though,
• 28:38
  you
• 28:38
  know,
• 28:38
  you,
• 28:39
  you
• 28:39
  put,
• 28:40
  you
• 28:40
  got
• 28:40
  turned
• 28:40
  on
• 28:41
  by
• 28:41
  kind
• 28:41
  of
• 28:41
  the
• 28:41
  pre
• 28:41
  made
• 28:42
  brushes,
• 28:43
  which
• 28:43
  is
• 28:43
  kind
• 28:44
  of
• 28:44
  amazing
• 28:44
  because
• 28:44
  I
• 28:44
  saw
• 28:44
  David
• 28:45
  making
• 28:45
  brushes
• 28:46
  in
• 28:46
  Edison
• 28:46
  a
• 28:46
  few
• 28:47
  years
• 28:47
  ago
• 28:47
  and
• 28:47
  I
• 28:47
  was
• 28:47
  blown
• 28:47
  away.
• 28:48
  But
• 28:48
  you
• 28:48
  seem
• 28:49
  to
• 28:49
  have
• 28:50
  a
• 28:50
  real
• 28:51
  affinity
• 28:51
  for
• 28:51
  the
• 28:51
  natural
• 28:52
  materials
• 28:53
  and
• 28:53
  it
• 28:53
  seems
• 28:54
  like
• 28:54
  you
• 28:54
  generally
• 28:55
  maybe
• 28:55
  have
• 28:55
  a
• 28:55
  preference
• 28:56
  to
• 28:56
  tie
• 28:56
  with
• 28:57
  natural
• 28:57
  stuff
• 28:57
  as
• 28:57
  opposed
• 28:58
  to
• 28:58
  kind
• 28:58
  of
• 28:58
  chasing
• 28:58
  the
• 28:59
  synthetics.
• 29:00
  Yeah,
• 29:00
  I
• 29:01
  mean,
• 29:01
  that's
• 29:01
  probably
• 29:02
  you,
• 29:02
  you,
• 29:02
  you
• 29:03
  said
• 29:03
  it
• 29:03
  pretty
• 29:03
  nicely.
• 29:05
  You
• 29:05
  Know,
• 29:05
  I
• 29:05
  always
• 29:05
  tease
• 29:06
  Johnny
• 29:06
  King
• 29:06
  is
• 29:06
  like,
• 29:06
  I
• 29:07
  don't
• 29:07
  like
• 29:07
  plastic
• 29:07
  flies.
• 29:09
  And
• 29:09
  listen,
• 29:09
  there's
• 29:10
  nothing
• 29:10
  wrong
• 29:10
  with
• 29:11
  synthetics.
• 29:11
  So
• 29:12
  then
• 29:12
  there's
• 29:12
  enough
• 29:12
  plastic
• 29:12
  in
• 29:12
  here.
• 29:13
  So
• 29:15
  that's.
• 29:15
  That's.
• 29:16
  You're
• 29:16
  supposed
• 29:16
  to
• 29:16
  laugh
• 29:17
  there,
• 29:17
  Marvin.
• 29:17
  Oh,
• 29:17
  I'm
• 29:18
  sorry.
• 29:21
  You
• 29:22
  know,
• 29:22
  it's
• 29:22
  what
• 29:22
  I
• 29:22
  started
• 29:22
  with
• 29:23
  and
• 29:23
  I
• 29:23
  gave
• 29:23
  take.
• 29:23
  It's
• 29:24
  probably,
• 29:24
  probably
• 29:25
  in
• 29:25
  part
• 29:28
  or
• 29:29
  from
• 29:29
  tying
• 29:29
  trout
• 29:30
  flies.
• 29:32
  I.
• 29:33
  There's
• 29:34
  something
• 29:34
  about
• 29:35
  having
• 29:35
  natural
• 29:35
  material
• 29:36
  in
• 29:36
  your
• 29:36
  hand.
• 29:36
  I'm
• 29:36
  sitting
• 29:37
  on
• 29:37
  my
• 29:37
  fly
• 29:37
  tie
• 29:38
  winch
• 29:38
  right
• 29:38
  now
• 29:38
  with
• 29:38
  the
• 29:38
  feather
• 29:39
  just
• 29:39
  kind
• 29:39
  of
• 29:39
  twisting
• 29:39
  it
• 29:42
  and
• 29:45
  not.
• 29:46
  The
• 29:46
  difficulty
• 29:49
  is
• 29:49
  not
• 29:49
  the
• 29:50
  right
• 29:50
  word,
• 29:52
  but
• 29:53
  it
• 29:53
  makes
• 29:53
  you
• 29:53
  again,
• 29:54
  slow
• 29:54
  down
• 29:54
  a
• 29:54
  little
• 29:55
  bit
• 29:57
  because
• 29:57
  you
• 29:57
  have
• 29:57
  to
• 29:57
  have
• 29:57
  a
• 29:58
  little
• 29:58
  more
• 29:58
  purpose
• 29:58
  with
• 29:58
  natural
• 29:59
  materials
• 30:01
  than
• 30:01
  you
• 30:01
  do
• 30:01
  with
• 30:02
  synthetics.
• 30:03
  And
• 30:04
  synthetics
• 30:04
  have
• 30:04
  their
• 30:04
  place.
• 30:05
  I
• 30:05
  mean,
• 30:05
  I
• 30:05
  have
• 30:06
  some
• 30:06
  very,
• 30:06
  very
• 30:07
  few,
• 30:10
  but
• 30:10
  for
• 30:10
  me,
• 30:10
  it
• 30:11
  was
• 30:11
  just
• 30:11
  always
• 30:11
  with
• 30:12
  what
• 30:12
  felt
• 30:12
  right,
• 30:12
  you
• 30:13
  know,
• 30:13
  and
• 30:13
  you
• 30:14
  kind
• 30:14
  of
• 30:14
  look
• 30:14
  at
• 30:14
  the
• 30:14
  sheen
• 30:15
  of
• 30:15
  something,
• 30:15
  you
• 30:16
  know,
• 30:16
  like,
• 30:19
  think
• 30:20
  about
• 30:20
  what
• 30:20
  that
• 30:20
  looks
• 30:20
  like
• 30:21
  to
• 30:21
  a
• 30:21
  fish
• 30:21
  or
• 30:22
  like
• 30:22
  how
• 30:22
  something
• 30:23
  moves.
• 30:25
  There's
• 30:25
  some,
• 30:25
  some
• 30:26
  synthetics
• 30:26
  out
• 30:26
  there
• 30:26
  that
• 30:27
  have
• 30:28
  better
• 30:29
  movement
• 30:29
  than
• 30:29
  others
• 30:30
  that
• 30:30
  I.
• 30:31
  I
• 30:31
  think
• 30:31
  are
• 30:31
  more
• 30:31
  useful
• 30:32
  than
• 30:32
  others.
• 30:32
  But
• 30:33
  for
• 30:33
  me,
• 30:33
  it's
• 30:34
  just
• 30:34
  always
• 30:34
  been
• 30:35
  natural.
• 30:36
  And
• 30:36
  maybe
• 30:36
  that's
• 30:37
  growing
• 30:37
  up
• 30:37
  as
• 30:37
  a
• 30:37
  farm
• 30:37
  kid,
• 30:38
  like
• 30:38
  hunting
• 30:38
  and
• 30:39
  fishing,
• 30:39
  you
• 30:39
  know,
• 30:40
  as
• 30:40
  a
• 30:40
  youngster.
• 30:42
  It
• 30:42
  could
• 30:43
  just
• 30:43
  be
• 30:43
  my
• 30:43
  affinity
• 30:44
  for
• 30:44
  everything
• 30:45
  and
• 30:45
  old.
• 30:47
  Yeah,
• 30:48
  I
• 30:48
  mean,
• 30:48
  it's
• 30:48
  interesting
• 30:49
  too,
• 30:49
  because
• 30:49
  I
• 30:49
  always
• 30:50
  think
• 30:50
  about
• 30:50
  like,
• 30:52
  and
• 30:52
  I
• 30:52
  talked
• 30:52
  to
• 30:52
  Blaine
• 30:53
  about
• 30:53
  this
• 30:53
  sometimes
• 30:54
  because
• 30:54
  he
• 30:54
  was
• 30:54
  lucky
• 30:54
  enough
• 30:55
  to
• 30:55
  be,
• 30:55
  you
• 30:55
  know,
• 30:56
  with
• 30:56
  Lefty
• 30:56
  and
• 30:57
  Bobby
• 30:57
  and
• 30:57
  a
• 30:57
  lot
• 30:57
  of
• 30:57
  these
• 30:58
  other
• 30:58
  guys
• 30:58
  kind
• 30:58
  of
• 30:58
  like
• 30:58
  you
• 30:59
  were.
• 30:59
  But,
• 30:59
  you
• 31:00
  know,
• 31:00
  it
• 31:00
  wasn't
• 31:01
  like
• 31:01
  you
• 31:01
  just
• 31:01
  got
• 31:01
  your
• 31:02
  J.
• 31:02
  Stockard
• 31:02
  catalog
• 31:03
  or
• 31:03
  your
• 31:03
  Feathercraft
• 31:04
  catalog,
• 31:04
  and
• 31:04
  you
• 31:04
  just
• 31:04
  ordered
• 31:05
  whatever
• 31:05
  you
• 31:05
  needed.
• 31:06
  Right,
• 31:07
  right.
• 31:07
  And
• 31:08
  so,
• 31:08
  you
• 31:08
  know,
• 31:09
  and
• 31:09
  also
• 31:09
  too,
• 31:09
  you
• 31:10
  know,
• 31:10
  there
• 31:10
  are
• 31:10
  a
• 31:10
  lot
• 31:10
  of
• 31:10
  guys
• 31:11
  tying
• 31:12
  what
• 31:12
  I
• 31:12
  would
• 31:12
  call
• 31:12
  more
• 31:12
  traditional
• 31:13
  patterns
• 31:14
  and
• 31:15
  they're
• 31:15
  like,
• 31:15
  dude,
• 31:15
  they
• 31:15
  work,
• 31:16
  right?
• 31:16
  Just
• 31:17
  because
• 31:17
  it's
• 31:17
  40
• 31:18
  years
• 31:18
  old,
• 31:18
  it
• 31:18
  still
• 31:19
  works.
• 31:19
  But
• 31:19
  I
• 31:19
  think
• 31:19
  there's
• 31:20
  an
• 31:20
  interesting
• 31:20
  thing
• 31:20
  about
• 31:21
  back
• 31:21
  to
• 31:21
  kind
• 31:21
  of
• 31:21
  what
• 31:22
  you
• 31:22
  were
• 31:22
  talking
• 31:22
  about,
• 31:23
  kind
• 31:23
  of
• 31:23
  how
• 31:24
  you
• 31:24
  internalize
• 31:24
  some
• 31:25
  of
• 31:25
  the
• 31:25
  stuff
• 31:26
  from
• 31:26
  Popovic
• 31:27
  and
• 31:27
  other
• 31:27
  people
• 31:27
  in
• 31:27
  the
• 31:27
  form
• 31:27
  about
• 31:28
  functionality
• 31:29
  and,
• 31:29
  you
• 31:30
  know,
• 31:30
  because
• 31:30
  it
• 31:30
  makes
• 31:30
  me
• 31:30
  think
• 31:30
  about
• 31:31
  the
• 31:31
  first
• 31:31
  time
• 31:31
  I
• 31:31
  met
• 31:31
  Bob
• 31:32
  in
• 31:32
  Edison
• 31:32
  and
• 31:33
  he
• 31:33
  was,
• 31:35
  you
• 31:35
  know,
• 31:35
  he
• 31:35
  had
• 31:35
  his
• 31:35
  tube
• 31:36
  of
• 31:36
  like
• 31:36
  GE
• 31:36
  silicone.
• 31:37
  Right.
• 31:38
  And
• 31:38
  he
• 31:38
  was
• 31:39
  basically
• 31:39
  doing
• 31:39
  the
• 31:39
  lips
• 31:40
  with
• 31:40
  the
• 31:40
  rams
• 31:40
  wool.
• 31:41
  And
• 31:41
  it's
• 31:41
  just,
• 31:42
  you
• 31:42
  know,
• 31:43
  super
• 31:43
  fascinating.
• 31:43
  Just
• 31:44
  reminds
• 31:44
  me
• 31:44
  also
• 31:44
  of
• 31:45
  kind
• 31:45
  of
• 31:45
  being
• 31:45
  a
• 31:45
  kid
• 31:45
  growing
• 31:46
  up
• 31:46
  like
• 31:46
  in
• 31:46
  the.
• 31:46
  In
• 31:47
  the
• 31:47
  70s,
• 31:48
  you
• 31:48
  know,
• 31:48
  you
• 31:49
  just
• 31:49
  couldn't
• 31:49
  go
• 31:49
  buy
• 31:50
  every
• 31:50
  little
• 31:50
  piece
• 31:51
  that
• 31:51
  you
• 31:51
  wanted.
• 31:51
  You
• 31:51
  had
• 31:52
  to
• 31:52
  kind
• 31:52
  of
• 31:52
  figure
• 31:52
  stuff
• 31:52
  out
• 31:53
  and
• 31:53
  make
• 31:53
  stuff
• 31:53
  that
• 31:53
  worked.
• 31:54
  So
• 31:54
  I
• 31:54
  kind
• 31:54
  of.
• 31:55
  Maybe
• 31:55
  I
• 31:55
  see
• 31:55
  a
• 31:55
  little
• 31:55
  bit
• 31:56
  of
• 31:56
  that
• 31:56
  in
• 31:56
  that
• 31:56
  kind
• 31:57
  of
• 31:57
  process
• 31:57
  as
• 31:57
  well.
• 31:58
  Yeah,
• 31:59
  no,
• 31:59
  it's,
• 31:59
  it's,
• 32:01
  it's.
• 32:01
  It's.
• 32:02
  That's.
• 32:02
  That's
• 32:03
  true.
• 32:03
  I
• 32:03
  mean,
• 32:03
  if
• 32:03
  I'm
• 32:04
  tying
• 32:04
  something,
• 32:05
  it's
• 32:05
  an
• 32:05
  idea
• 32:06
  in
• 32:06
  my
• 32:06
  head.
• 32:06
  I'm,
• 32:07
  you
• 32:08
  know,
• 32:08
  and
• 32:09
  I
• 32:09
  may
• 32:09
  take
• 32:09
  something
• 32:10
  off
• 32:10
  the
• 32:10
  hook
• 32:11
  after
• 32:11
  I've
• 32:11
  tied
• 32:12
  it
• 32:12
  all
• 32:12
  to
• 32:12
  go
• 32:12
  looking
• 32:12
  for
• 32:12
  a
• 32:13
  different
• 32:13
  material
• 32:13
  because
• 32:13
  I
• 32:13
  don't
• 32:13
  like
• 32:14
  how
• 32:14
  it
• 32:14
  laid
• 32:14
  down
• 32:15
  or
• 32:16
  just
• 32:17
  was.
• 32:17
  Didn't
• 32:18
  feel
• 32:18
  right
• 32:18
  or
• 32:18
  it
• 32:19
  felt
• 32:19
  like
• 32:19
  it
• 32:19
  was
• 32:19
  gonna
• 32:19
  get
• 32:20
  too
• 32:20
  bulky.
• 32:20
  So
• 32:20
  I'll
• 32:20
  switch
• 32:21
  to
• 32:21
  something
• 32:21
  different.
• 32:23
  You
• 32:24
  know,
• 32:24
  I
• 32:24
  always
• 32:24
  say,
• 32:25
  like,
• 32:27
  if
• 32:27
  I
• 32:27
  have
• 32:28
  something
• 32:28
  new,
• 32:28
  my
• 32:29
  first
• 32:29
  one
• 32:29
  always
• 32:29
  turns
• 32:30
  out
• 32:30
  better
• 32:30
  than
• 32:30
  the
• 32:30
  second
• 32:30
  one.
• 32:31
  And
• 32:31
  the
• 32:32
  third
• 32:32
  one
• 32:32
  is
• 32:32
  usually
• 32:32
  where
• 32:33
  it
• 32:33
  comes
• 32:33
  together
• 32:35
  because
• 32:35
  I've
• 32:35
  tried
• 32:36
  to
• 32:36
  change
• 32:36
  it
• 32:36
  too
• 32:36
  much
• 32:37
  the
• 32:37
  second
• 32:37
  time.
• 32:37
  And
• 32:38
  usually
• 32:38
  the
• 32:38
  third
• 32:38
  one
• 32:39
  goes
• 32:40
  way
• 32:40
  back,
• 32:40
  closer
• 32:41
  to
• 32:41
  the
• 32:41
  first
• 32:41
  one
• 32:42
  than
• 32:42
  the
• 32:42
  second
• 32:43
  one
• 32:43
  even.
• 32:44
  Was
• 32:45
  very
• 32:46
  neat.
• 32:46
  And
• 32:46
  so
• 32:46
  we
• 32:47
  can't
• 32:47
  talk
• 32:47
  about
• 32:48
  hollow
• 32:48
  fly
• 32:49
  style
• 32:49
  without
• 32:49
  talking
• 32:50
  about
• 32:50
  bucktail.
• 32:50
  And
• 32:51
  that's
• 32:51
  kind
• 32:51
  of.
• 32:51
  You
• 32:51
  kind
• 32:51
  of
• 32:52
  go
• 32:52
  down
• 32:52
  a
• 32:52
  path.
• 32:53
  Right.
• 32:54
  And
• 32:54
  so
• 32:54
  I
• 32:54
  was
• 32:55
  kind
• 32:55
  of
• 32:55
  curious.
• 32:55
  Everyone
• 32:55
  has
• 32:56
  a
• 32:56
  little
• 32:56
  bit
• 32:56
  of
• 32:56
  a
• 32:56
  different
• 32:56
  take,
• 32:57
  but
• 32:57
  can
• 32:57
  share
• 32:58
  kind
• 32:58
  of
• 32:59
  your
• 32:59
  secrets
• 33:00
  for
• 33:00
  selecting
• 33:01
  in
• 33:02
  handling
• 33:02
  bucktail.
• 33:03
  And
• 33:03
  I
• 33:03
  would
• 33:04
  say
• 33:04
  too,
• 33:04
  like,
• 33:04
  I,
• 33:04
  you
• 33:04
  know,
• 33:05
  talk
• 33:05
  about
• 33:06
  different
• 33:06
  bucktails
• 33:07
  and
• 33:07
  different
• 33:07
  parts
• 33:08
  of
• 33:08
  the
• 33:08
  bucktail
• 33:08
  for
• 33:09
  different
• 33:09
  kind
• 33:09
  of
• 33:09
  usages
• 33:10
  on
• 33:10
  a
• 33:10
  fly.
• 33:12
  So,
• 33:13
  you
• 33:13
  know,
• 33:13
  it's.
• 33:13
  It's.
• 33:14
  It's
• 33:16
  hard
• 33:16
  to.
• 33:17
  To.
• 33:19
  It's
• 33:19
  hard
• 33:19
  to
• 33:19
  verbalize.
• 33:21
  But
• 33:21
  I'll.
• 33:21
  I'll
• 33:22
  try.
• 33:22
  You
• 33:22
  know,
• 33:22
  I.
• 33:22
  I
• 33:23
  taught
• 33:23
  a
• 33:23
  class.
• 33:25
  The
• 33:25
  last
• 33:26
  major
• 33:26
  class
• 33:26
  I
• 33:26
  taught
• 33:27
  was
• 33:27
  in
• 33:27
  Rhode
• 33:27
  Island.
• 33:29
  And,
• 33:30
  you
• 33:30
  know,
• 33:31
  in
• 33:32
  that
• 33:32
  class,
• 33:33
  you
• 33:33
  know,
• 33:33
  the
• 33:34
  first
• 33:34
  half
• 33:34
  hour
• 33:34
  is
• 33:34
  me
• 33:35
  passing
• 33:35
  around
• 33:36
  different
• 33:36
  bucktails
• 33:37
  and
• 33:37
  kind
• 33:37
  of
• 33:37
  like
• 33:38
  talking
• 33:38
  about
• 33:38
  the
• 33:38
  different
• 33:38
  qualities
• 33:39
  of
• 33:39
  them.
• 33:41
  So
• 33:41
  when
• 33:42
  it
• 33:42
  comes
• 33:42
  to
• 33:42
  hollow
• 33:42
  flies,
• 33:42
  you're
• 33:42
  looking
• 33:43
  for
• 33:43
  something
• 33:43
  that.
• 33:44
  That's
• 33:46
  when
• 33:46
  you
• 33:47
  first
• 33:47
  start
• 33:47
  tying
• 33:47
  them.
• 33:47
  I
• 33:48
  should
• 33:48
  say
• 33:48
  especially
• 33:48
  you're
• 33:49
  looking
• 33:49
  for
• 33:49
  something
• 33:49
  that's
• 33:50
  soft
• 33:50
  and
• 33:51
  really
• 33:51
  soft
• 33:51
  to
• 33:51
  the
• 33:51
  touch.
• 33:55
  And
• 33:58
  that's
• 33:58
  because
• 34:01
  it's
• 34:01
  just
• 34:02
  more
• 34:02
  pliable
• 34:02
  like
• 34:03
  anything.
• 34:05
  And
• 34:05
  then
• 34:05
  as
• 34:06
  you
• 34:06
  master
• 34:06
  technique,
• 34:07
  you
• 34:07
  can,
• 34:07
  you
• 34:07
  know,
• 34:08
  you'll
• 34:08
  find
• 34:08
  that
• 34:08
  some.
• 34:09
  There's
• 34:09
  such
• 34:09
  thing
• 34:10
  as
• 34:10
  too
• 34:10
  soft,
• 34:10
  you
• 34:11
  know,
• 34:11
  because
• 34:11
  the
• 34:12
  collars
• 34:13
  will
• 34:13
  want
• 34:13
  to
• 34:13
  collapse
• 34:13
  on
• 34:13
  you
• 34:14
  a
• 34:14
  little
• 34:14
  too
• 34:15
  fast,
• 34:15
  so
• 34:15
  they
• 34:16
  have
• 34:17
  less
• 34:17
  predictability.
• 34:18
  So
• 34:19
  I
• 34:19
  always
• 34:19
  look
• 34:19
  for.
• 34:20
  For
• 34:20
  softer
• 34:21
  bucktail.
• 34:22
  I
• 34:22
  don't
• 34:23
  particularly
• 34:24
  careful
• 34:25
  in
• 34:25
  straight
• 34:26
  bucktail,
• 34:27
  unfortunately.
• 34:28
  Some.
• 34:28
  Most
• 34:28
  of
• 34:29
  the
• 34:29
  longer
• 34:29
  stuff
• 34:29
  is
• 34:30
  like
• 34:31
  in
• 34:31
  straight.
• 34:32
  And
• 34:32
  I
• 34:32
  find
• 34:32
  that's
• 34:33
  really
• 34:33
  useful
• 34:33
  for
• 34:33
  back
• 34:34
  Supplies.
• 34:35
  I
• 34:35
  like
• 34:36
  that
• 34:36
  kind
• 34:36
  of
• 34:36
  wavy
• 34:37
  bucktail
• 34:37
  because
• 34:37
  I
• 34:38
  feel
• 34:38
  like
• 34:40
  it's
• 34:41
  like
• 34:41
  you
• 34:41
  know,
• 34:42
  again
• 34:43
  not
• 34:43
  to
• 34:43
  dorkow
• 34:43
  too
• 34:44
  much
• 34:44
  of
• 34:44
  a,
• 34:44
  you
• 34:44
  know,
• 34:46
  a
• 34:46
  wave
• 34:46
  pattern.
• 34:49
  So
• 34:49
  if
• 34:49
  you
• 34:49
  know,
• 34:50
  you
• 34:50
  were
• 34:50
  to
• 34:50
  iron
• 34:50
  it
• 34:50
  straight,
• 34:51
  like
• 34:51
  if
• 34:51
  you
• 34:51
  have
• 34:52
  curly
• 34:52
  hair
• 34:52
  versus
• 34:53
  straight
• 34:53
  hair,
• 34:53
  you
• 34:53
  know,
• 34:53
  if
• 34:53
  you're
• 34:54
  straightening
• 34:54
  curly
• 34:55
  hair,
• 34:55
  you'll
• 34:55
  realize
• 34:55
  how
• 34:56
  much
• 34:56
  longer
• 34:56
  it
• 34:56
  is.
• 34:57
  So
• 34:57
  that
• 34:58
  longer
• 34:58
  buck,
• 34:58
  that
• 34:59
  curvier
• 35:00
  kinky
• 35:00
  bucktail
• 35:01
  will
• 35:01
  look
• 35:02
  like
• 35:02
  more
• 35:02
  on
• 35:03
  the
• 35:03
  hook
• 35:03
  than
• 35:03
  it
• 35:03
  truly
• 35:04
  is
• 35:05
  because
• 35:05
  of
• 35:06
  all
• 35:06
  those
• 35:06
  kinks
• 35:07
  take
• 35:08
  up
• 35:08
  more
• 35:08
  visual
• 35:08
  space.
• 35:10
  So
• 35:11
  that's
• 35:11
  really
• 35:11
  what
• 35:11
  I
• 35:12
  like
• 35:12
  for
• 35:12
  hollow
• 35:13
  flies
• 35:14
  because
• 35:15
  the
• 35:15
  illusion
• 35:15
  of
• 35:15
  bulk
• 35:16
  or
• 35:16
  the
• 35:16
  illusion
• 35:16
  of
• 35:17
  size
• 35:17
  with
• 35:17
  less
• 35:17
  material
• 35:18
  really
• 35:18
  gets,
• 35:19
  really
• 35:19
  gets
• 35:19
  magnified
• 35:20
  in
• 35:20
  those
• 35:20
  situations.
• 35:22
  And
• 35:23
  there's
• 35:23
  some,
• 35:23
  some
• 35:23
  of
• 35:23
  this
• 35:23
  is
• 35:24
  not
• 35:24
  good
• 35:24
  for,
• 35:25
  for
• 35:26
  hollow
• 35:27
  ties.
• 35:28
  It's,
• 35:28
  it's
• 35:28
  just
• 35:29
  not.
• 35:29
  I
• 35:29
  mean
• 35:29
  I,
• 35:29
  I,
• 35:30
  I,
• 35:31
  I
• 35:32
  still
• 35:32
  going
• 35:33
  to
• 35:33
  fly
• 35:33
  shop
• 35:34
  and
• 35:35
  or
• 35:36
  show
• 35:38
  and
• 35:38
  I
• 35:39
  will
• 35:40
  sit
• 35:40
  in
• 35:40
  the
• 35:40
  floor
• 35:41
  and
• 35:41
  open
• 35:41
  every
• 35:42
  package
• 35:42
  of
• 35:42
  bucktail
• 35:43
  and
• 35:43
  fan
• 35:43
  it
• 35:43
  up
• 35:44
  and
• 35:44
  feel
• 35:44
  it.
• 35:45
  I
• 35:45
  mean
• 35:46
  and
• 35:47
  as
• 35:48
  I've
• 35:48
  been
• 35:48
  doing
• 35:48
  this
• 35:48
  for
• 35:48
  a
• 35:49
  while,
• 35:50
  you
• 35:50
  know,
• 35:50
  I
• 35:50
  can
• 35:50
  look
• 35:51
  at
• 35:51
  or
• 35:52
  feel
• 35:53
  or
• 35:53
  go
• 35:54
  through
• 35:57
  20
• 35:57
  or
• 35:57
  30
• 35:57
  bucktails
• 35:58
  probably
• 35:58
  and
• 36:00
  10
• 36:00
  minutes.
• 36:01
  And
• 36:02
  out
• 36:02
  of
• 36:02
  those,
• 36:03
  let's
• 36:04
  call
• 36:04
  50,
• 36:06
  I
• 36:07
  consider
• 36:08
  myself
• 36:08
  be
• 36:08
  fortunate
• 36:09
  if
• 36:09
  there's
• 36:09
  two
• 36:09
  that
• 36:10
  I
• 36:10
  want
• 36:10
  out
• 36:10
  of
• 36:10
  there.
• 36:12
  And
• 36:12
  most
• 36:13
  materials
• 36:13
  are
• 36:13
  the
• 36:13
  same
• 36:14
  way.
• 36:14
  Same
• 36:14
  thing
• 36:14
  with
• 36:14
  ostrich,
• 36:15
  you
• 36:15
  know,
• 36:16
  you'll,
• 36:16
  you'll
• 36:16
  look
• 36:16
  at
• 36:16
  50
• 36:17
  and
• 36:17
  find
• 36:17
  two.
• 36:18
  And
• 36:19
  again,
• 36:19
  not
• 36:19
  that
• 36:19
  you
• 36:19
  can't
• 36:20
  do
• 36:20
  something
• 36:20
  with
• 36:20
  all
• 36:21
  of
• 36:21
  them,
• 36:22
  but
• 36:22
  when
• 36:23
  it
• 36:23
  comes
• 36:23
  to
• 36:23
  the
• 36:23
  hollowflies
• 36:24
  especially,
• 36:24
  I
• 36:25
  look
• 36:25
  for
• 36:25
  stuff
• 36:25
  that's
• 36:28
  not
• 36:28
  too
• 36:28
  hollow,
• 36:29
  but
• 36:29
  also
• 36:32
  still
• 36:33
  hollow
• 36:33
  enough
• 36:33
  to
• 36:33
  react
• 36:34
  at
• 36:34
  thread
• 36:34
  pressure.
• 36:35
  I
• 36:35
  look
• 36:35
  for
• 36:36
  kinky
• 36:36
  bucktail,
• 36:37
  soft
• 36:37
  bucktail
• 36:38
  and
• 36:38
  not
• 36:38
  pin
• 36:39
  straight.
• 36:41
  And
• 36:41
  from
• 36:42
  there
• 36:42
  once
• 36:42
  you
• 36:42
  find
• 36:42
  the
• 36:43
  tail
• 36:43
  that
• 36:43
  works.
• 36:43
  I
• 36:44
  mean
• 36:44
  I
• 36:44
  say
• 36:44
  stick
• 36:44
  with
• 36:45
  it,
• 36:45
  you
• 36:45
  know.
• 36:47
  And
• 36:47
  so
• 36:47
  what's
• 36:48
  the,
• 36:49
  what's
• 36:49
  your
• 36:49
  kind
• 36:49
  of
• 36:49
  grading
• 36:50
  preference
• 36:50
  when
• 36:50
  you're
• 36:51
  looking
• 36:51
  at
• 36:51
  ostrich
• 36:51
  hurl?
• 36:55
  I
• 36:56
  like
• 36:56
  finer
• 36:56
  ostrich.
• 36:57
  Personally.
• 36:58
  I
• 36:59
  don't
• 36:59
  like
• 36:59
  the
• 36:59
  really
• 36:59
  big
• 37:00
  fluffy
• 37:00
  stuff.
• 37:03
  I
• 37:04
  think
• 37:04
  6
• 37:04
  inch
• 37:05
  ostrich
• 37:05
  is
• 37:07
  probably
• 37:07
  as
• 37:07
  rare
• 37:08
  as
• 37:08
  6
• 37:08
  inch
• 37:08
  bucktail.
• 37:09
  People
• 37:09
  laugh
• 37:09
  at
• 37:09
  me
• 37:10
  when
• 37:10
  I
• 37:10
  say
• 37:10
  that.
• 37:10
  But
• 37:11
  like
• 37:11
  I'm
• 37:12
  ostrich
• 37:13
  with
• 37:13
  taper
• 37:13
  that's
• 37:14
  that
• 37:14
  long
• 37:14
  is
• 37:14
  really
• 37:15
  hard
• 37:15
  to
• 37:15
  find.
• 37:17
  So
• 37:17
  that's
• 37:17
  what
• 37:17
  I
• 37:17
  like.
• 37:20
  Density
• 37:20
  of
• 37:20
  barbs
• 37:21
  like
• 37:21
  any
• 37:22
  feather
• 37:24
  but
• 37:25
  it
• 37:25
  has
• 37:25
  more
• 37:25
  barbs
• 37:26
  per
• 37:26
  inch,
• 37:26
  more
• 37:27
  fibers
• 37:27
  per
• 37:27
  inch.
• 37:28
  That's
• 37:29
  what
• 37:29
  I'm
• 37:29
  looking
• 37:29
  for.
• 37:29
  So
• 37:30
  length,
• 37:30
  paper
• 37:33
  and
• 37:33
  density.
• 37:34
  Is
• 37:34
  it
• 37:35
  harder
• 37:35
  to
• 37:35
  find
• 37:35
  good
• 37:36
  ostrich
• 37:36
  just
• 37:36
  because
• 37:37
  it's
• 37:37
  not
• 37:37
  as
• 37:37
  common
• 37:38
  a
• 37:38
  tying
• 37:38
  material
• 37:38
  as
• 37:39
  bucktail?
• 37:40
  I
• 37:41
  think
• 37:41
  it's
• 37:41
  harder
• 37:42
  to
• 37:42
  find
• 37:42
  good
• 37:42
  ostrich
• 37:44
  because
• 37:45
  ostrich
• 37:45
  is
• 37:45
  used
• 37:45
  for
• 37:46
  so
• 37:47
  many
• 37:47
  more
• 37:47
  things
• 37:49
  like
• 37:49
  fashion
• 37:50
  and
• 37:51
  weddings
• 37:51
  and
• 37:53
  hats.
• 37:53
  And
• 37:55
  there's
• 37:56
  so
• 37:56
  many
• 37:56
  things
• 37:56
  that
• 37:57
  ostrich
• 37:57
  is
• 37:57
  used
• 37:57
  for
• 37:58
  so
• 37:58
  many
• 37:59
  other
• 37:59
  industries
• 38:00
  where
• 38:00
  I
• 38:00
  can't
• 38:01
  really
• 38:01
  say
• 38:01
  that
• 38:01
  about
• 38:01
  bucktail.
• 38:03
  Yeah,
• 38:03
  I
• 38:03
  haven't
• 38:04
  seen
• 38:04
  that
• 38:04
  in
• 38:04
  any
• 38:04
  wedding
• 38:05
  magazines
• 38:05
  recently.
• 38:08
  Right.
• 38:10
  So,
• 38:10
  you
• 38:10
  know,
• 38:10
  I
• 38:11
  always,
• 38:11
  when
• 38:11
  I
• 38:11
  get
• 38:12
  really
• 38:12
  gifted
• 38:13
  tires
• 38:13
  on
• 38:13
  the
• 38:14
  podcast,
• 38:14
  always
• 38:15
  also
• 38:15
  want
• 38:15
  to
• 38:15
  ask
• 38:16
  them
• 38:16
  for,
• 38:17
  you
• 38:17
  know,
• 38:17
  other
• 38:18
  tips
• 38:18
  that
• 38:18
  they
• 38:18
  have
• 38:18
  that
• 38:19
  they
• 38:19
  can
• 38:19
  share
• 38:19
  with
• 38:19
  us,
• 38:20
  mere
• 38:20
  mortal
• 38:20
  tires
• 38:21
  to
• 38:21
  make
• 38:21
  our
• 38:21
  lives
• 38:22
  happier
• 38:22
  and
• 38:22
  more
• 38:23
  productive
• 38:23
  at
• 38:23
  the
• 38:23
  vice.
• 38:23
  You
• 38:24
  have
• 38:24
  a
• 38:24
  couple
• 38:24
  more
• 38:24
  you
• 38:24
  could
• 38:24
  share
• 38:24
  with
• 38:25
  folks.
• 38:27
  Brushable
• 38:28
  Crazy
• 38:28
  Glue.
• 38:33
  Put
• 38:33
  it
• 38:33
  on
• 38:33
  your
• 38:34
  thread,
• 38:34
  not
• 38:34
  on
• 38:34
  your
• 38:34
  materials
• 38:35
  or
• 38:35
  your
• 38:35
  hook,
• 38:37
  before
• 38:37
  you
• 38:38
  make
• 38:38
  those
• 38:38
  final
• 38:38
  wraps.
• 38:39
  I
• 38:39
  think
• 38:39
  is
• 38:42
  people
• 38:42
  have
• 38:42
  been
• 38:42
  dumbfounded
• 38:43
  every
• 38:43
  time
• 38:43
  I've
• 38:44
  shown
• 38:44
  that
• 38:47
  taking
• 38:48
  wraps,
• 38:50
  if
• 38:50
  you're
• 38:50
  cutting
• 38:51
  something,
• 38:51
  I,
• 38:52
  I,
• 38:53
  I
• 38:53
  will
• 38:53
  say
• 38:53
  this.
• 38:54
  Cut
• 38:54
  your
• 38:54
  bucktail
• 38:55
  square
• 38:55
  before
• 38:55
  you
• 38:56
  introduce
• 38:56
  it
• 38:56
  to
• 38:56
  the
• 38:56
  hook.
• 38:57
  Don't
• 38:57
  cut
• 38:57
  it
• 38:57
  when
• 38:57
  it's
• 38:58
  on
• 38:58
  the
• 38:58
  hook.
• 39:01
  There's
• 39:01
  situations
• 39:02
  where
• 39:02
  it
• 39:02
  does
• 39:02
  call
• 39:02
  for
• 39:02
  you
• 39:02
  to
• 39:03
  have
• 39:03
  to
• 39:03
  cut
• 39:03
  it
• 39:04
  on
• 39:04
  the
• 39:04
  hook.
• 39:05
  If
• 39:06
  you
• 39:06
  do,
• 39:06
  take
• 39:06
  a
• 39:07
  couple
• 39:07
  wraps
• 39:07
  underneath
• 39:08
  those
• 39:08
  buttons
• 39:10
  before
• 39:10
  you
• 39:10
  cut
• 39:10
  it
• 39:10
  to
• 39:11
  hold
• 39:11
  it
• 39:11
  in
• 39:11
  place,
• 39:12
  and
• 39:12
  then
• 39:12
  undo
• 39:13
  those
• 39:13
  wraps
• 39:14
  and
• 39:14
  rewrap
• 39:15
  over
• 39:15
  again.
• 39:17
  Save
• 39:17
  yourself
• 39:18
  some
• 39:18
  thread
• 39:18
  wraps.
• 39:19
  Get
• 39:19
  yourself
• 39:19
  tying
• 39:19
  in
• 39:20
  a
• 39:20
  smaller,
• 39:20
  smaller
• 39:21
  space.
• 39:25
  Don't
• 39:25
  be
• 39:25
  afraid
• 39:26
  to,
• 39:26
  like,
• 39:26
  crowd
• 39:26
  the
• 39:27
  eye
• 39:27
  of
• 39:27
  a
• 39:27
  hook
• 39:27
  and
• 39:28
  like,
• 39:30
  like,
• 39:31
  warm
• 39:31
  up
• 39:31
  your
• 39:31
  bobbin
• 39:32
  and
• 39:32
  burn
• 39:32
  those
• 39:32
  excess
• 39:33
  fibers
• 39:34
  off
• 39:36
  if
• 39:36
  it
• 39:36
  means
• 39:36
  you
• 39:36
  achieve
• 39:37
  what
• 39:37
  you're
• 39:37
  trying
• 39:37
  to
• 39:37
  do.
• 39:39
  You
• 39:39
  know,
• 39:40
  again,
• 39:42
  function
• 39:42
  over
• 39:43
  aesthetic.
• 39:44
  Not
• 39:44
  that
• 39:44
  there's
• 39:45
  anything
• 39:45
  wrong
• 39:45
  with
• 39:45
  having
• 39:45
  gorgeous
• 39:46
  flies,
• 39:46
  but
• 39:47
  make
• 39:47
  sure
• 39:47
  the
• 39:48
  fly
• 39:48
  does
• 39:48
  what
• 39:48
  you
• 39:48
  want
• 39:48
  to
• 39:49
  do
• 39:49
  first
• 39:52
  and
• 39:52
  use
• 39:52
  less
• 39:52
  than
• 39:53
  you
• 39:53
  think
• 39:53
  you
• 39:54
  need
• 39:54
  to
• 39:55
  always.
• 39:56
  If
• 39:56
  you
• 39:56
  think
• 39:56
  you
• 39:56
  have
• 39:56
  the
• 39:57
  right
• 39:57
  amount
• 39:57
  of
• 39:57
  material
• 39:57
  in
• 39:58
  your
• 39:58
  hand,
• 39:58
  take
• 39:58
  some
• 39:58
  away.
• 39:59
  I
• 40:00
  still
• 40:00
  do
• 40:00
  it.
• 40:00
  I
• 40:00
  still
• 40:01
  look
• 40:01
  at
• 40:01
  the
• 40:02
  cloak
• 40:02
  of
• 40:02
  material
• 40:02
  I
• 40:03
  have
• 40:03
  in
• 40:03
  my
• 40:03
  hand.
• 40:03
  I
• 40:03
  still,
• 40:05
  whether
• 40:05
  it
• 40:05
  be
• 40:05
  bucktail
• 40:06
  or
• 40:06
  fox
• 40:06
  or
• 40:06
  ostrich,
• 40:07
  I'll
• 40:08
  look
• 40:08
  at
• 40:08
  it.
• 40:09
  I'm
• 40:10
  like,
• 40:10
  oh,
• 40:10
  that's
• 40:10
  the
• 40:10
  perfect
• 40:10
  amount.
• 40:11
  And
• 40:11
  I'll
• 40:11
  just
• 40:11
  take
• 40:12
  a
• 40:12
  couple
• 40:12
  fibers
• 40:12
  off.
• 40:13
  I
• 40:13
  know
• 40:13
  it's
• 40:14
  too
• 40:14
  much
• 40:16
  because
• 40:17
  you'd
• 40:17
  be
• 40:17
  surprised
• 40:17
  what
• 40:17
  you
• 40:17
  could
• 40:18
  get
• 40:18
  away
• 40:18
  with
• 40:18
  or
• 40:18
  how
• 40:19
  little
• 40:19
  you
• 40:19
  can
• 40:19
  get
• 40:19
  away
• 40:19
  with.
• 40:20
  I
• 40:20
  always
• 40:21
  say.
• 40:22
  Yeah,
• 40:22
  I
• 40:22
  was
• 40:23
  going
• 40:23
  to
• 40:23
  say,
• 40:23
  you
• 40:23
  know,
• 40:23
  it's
• 40:23
  always
• 40:23
  interesting
• 40:24
  to
• 40:24
  see,
• 40:24
  like,
• 40:24
  super
• 40:25
  sparsely
• 40:25
  tied
• 40:26
  hollowflies
• 40:26
  and
• 40:26
  you're
• 40:27
  just
• 40:27
  like,
• 40:27
  wow,
• 40:27
  it's
• 40:27
  incredible.
• 40:28
  And
• 40:28
  you
• 40:28
  see
• 40:28
  it
• 40:28
  in
• 40:28
  the
• 40:28
  water.
• 40:28
  You're
• 40:29
  like,
• 40:29
  oh,
• 40:29
  my
• 40:29
  goodness.
• 40:30
  And
• 40:30
  you
• 40:30
  kind
• 40:30
  of
• 40:30
  get
• 40:30
  religion
• 40:31
  on
• 40:31
  the,
• 40:31
  on
• 40:31
  the
• 40:32
  sparseness
• 40:32
  of
• 40:32
  the
• 40:33
  material
• 40:33
  thing.
• 40:34
  Yeah,
• 40:34
  real
• 40:34
  quick,
• 40:35
  real
• 40:35
  quick.
• 40:35
  Because
• 40:35
  you
• 40:36
  know,
• 40:36
  what
• 40:36
  happens
• 40:36
  is
• 40:36
  metal
• 40:37
  isn't
• 40:37
  easy
• 40:37
  to
• 40:37
  cast,
• 40:38
  but
• 40:38
  it
• 40:38
  moves
• 40:38
  better.
• 40:40
  Yeah,
• 40:40
  it's
• 40:40
  interesting.
• 40:40
  And
• 40:41
  where
• 40:41
  did
• 40:41
  you
• 40:41
  learn
• 40:41
  the
• 40:42
  crazy
• 40:42
  glue
• 40:42
  trick?
• 40:43
  Because
• 40:43
  I
• 40:43
  think
• 40:43
  the
• 40:43
  first
• 40:44
  time
• 40:44
  I
• 40:44
  ever
• 40:44
  heard
• 40:44
  about
• 40:45
  it
• 40:45
  was
• 40:45
  kind
• 40:45
  of
• 40:46
  via
• 40:46
  Dave
• 40:46
  Whitlock.
• 40:48
  I
• 40:48
  wish
• 40:48
  he
• 40:49
  had
• 40:49
  told
• 40:49
  me
• 40:50
  because
• 40:50
  I
• 40:50
  had
• 40:51
  to
• 40:51
  figure
• 40:51
  it
• 40:51
  out
• 40:51
  on
• 40:51
  my
• 40:51
  own.
• 40:52
  Oh,
• 40:52
  well,
• 40:52
  there
• 40:52
  you
• 40:52
  go.
• 40:53
  It's
• 40:54
  a
• 40:54
  Jason
• 40:54
  Taylor
• 40:55
  original.
• 40:57
  I
• 40:57
  listen,
• 40:57
  I
• 40:57
  don't,
• 40:57
  I,
• 40:58
  I,
• 40:59
  I
• 40:59
  remember,
• 41:00
  I
• 41:00
  remember
• 41:01
  the
• 41:01
  first
• 41:01
  time
• 41:01
  I
• 41:02
  tied
• 41:02
  this,
• 41:02
  I
• 41:02
  tied
• 41:03
  this
• 41:03
  hollow
• 41:04
  fly
• 41:04
  and
• 41:05
  I
• 41:06
  was
• 41:06
  leaving,
• 41:06
  I
• 41:07
  was
• 41:07
  using
• 41:07
  very
• 41:08
  little
• 41:08
  material,
• 41:08
  but
• 41:08
  I
• 41:08
  was
• 41:09
  leaving
• 41:09
  the
• 41:09
  butts
• 41:10
  long
• 41:11
  in
• 41:11
  the
• 41:11
  back.
• 41:11
  Instead
• 41:12
  of
• 41:12
  tying
• 41:12
  the
• 41:12
  butts
• 41:12
  down
• 41:13
  fly,
• 41:13
  I
• 41:13
  was
• 41:13
  like,
• 41:13
  oh,
• 41:13
  I
• 41:13
  can
• 41:14
  just
• 41:14
  get
• 41:14
  the
• 41:14
  density
• 41:14
  I
• 41:14
  want
• 41:15
  in
• 41:15
  front
• 41:15
  of
• 41:15
  the
• 41:15
  fly
• 41:15
  by
• 41:15
  leaving
• 41:16
  the
• 41:16
  butts
• 41:16
  long,
• 41:17
  not
• 41:18
  cutting
• 41:18
  this
• 41:18
  bucktail
• 41:19
  short,
• 41:19
  just
• 41:19
  like
• 41:20
  really
• 41:20
  cranking
• 41:20
  down
• 41:20
  and
• 41:20
  flaring
• 41:21
  those
• 41:21
  buttons
• 41:22
  before
• 41:22
  I
• 41:22
  got
• 41:22
  control
• 41:23
  again
• 41:23
  and
• 41:24
  pushed
• 41:24
  the
• 41:24
  hollow
• 41:25
  cone
• 41:25
  back
• 41:25
  and
• 41:25
  formed
• 41:26
  it.
• 41:26
  And
• 41:27
  I
• 41:27
  thought
• 41:27
  I
• 41:27
  was
• 41:27
  hot
• 41:27
  shit.
• 41:28
  I
• 41:28
  mean,
• 41:28
  I
• 41:28
  showed
• 41:28
  it
• 41:29
  to
• 41:29
  a
• 41:29
  couple
• 41:29
  guys.
• 41:29
  They're
• 41:29
  like,
• 41:29
  why'd
• 41:30
  you
• 41:30
  even
• 41:30
  take
• 41:30
  a
• 41:30
  nap?
• 41:30
  Blah,
• 41:31
  blah,
• 41:31
  blah,
• 41:31
  blah,
• 41:31
  blah.
• 41:33
  And
• 41:33
  I
• 41:33
  would,
• 41:33
  had
• 41:34
  been
• 41:34
  doing
• 41:34
  it
• 41:34
  for
• 41:34
  like
• 41:34
  six,
• 41:35
  probably
• 41:36
  six
• 41:36
  months.
• 41:37
  And
• 41:37
  then
• 41:38
  I
• 41:38
  saw,
• 41:43
  I
• 41:43
  saw
• 41:44
  some
• 41:44
  flies
• 41:44
  from
• 41:45
  Dave
• 41:45
  Stoke
• 41:46
  that
• 41:47
  were
• 41:47
  years
• 41:47
  old
• 41:49
  and
• 41:49
  they
• 41:49
  were
• 41:49
  tied
• 41:49
  the
• 41:50
  same
• 41:50
  way.
• 41:51
  Yeah.
• 41:51
  Always
• 41:52
  funny
• 41:52
  how
• 41:52
  that
• 41:52
  works
• 41:52
  out,
• 41:53
  isn't
• 41:53
  it?
• 41:53
  Yeah.
• 41:54
  I
• 41:55
  would
• 41:55
  say
• 41:55
  the
• 41:55
  other
• 41:55
  thing
• 41:55
  I
• 41:56
  would
• 41:56
  tell
• 41:56
  people
• 41:56
  is
• 41:56
  when
• 41:56
  you're,
• 41:58
  you
• 41:58
  know,
• 41:59
  if
• 41:59
  you
• 41:59
  look
• 42:00
  at,
• 42:00
  you
• 42:01
  know,
• 42:01
  I
• 42:01
  hate
• 42:01
  to
• 42:01
  reference
• 42:02
  myself
• 42:02
  in
• 42:02
  YouTube
• 42:03
  videos,
• 42:04
  but
• 42:04
  if
• 42:04
  you
• 42:04
  look
• 42:04
  at.
• 42:05
  Watch
• 42:05
  me
• 42:05
  handle
• 42:05
  Bucktail
• 42:06
  and
• 42:06
  YouTube
• 42:07
  videos,
• 42:07
  you'll
• 42:07
  see
• 42:07
  how
• 42:07
  I'll
• 42:08
  lay
• 42:08
  the
• 42:08
  bucktail
• 42:09
  flat
• 42:09
  on
• 42:09
  the
• 42:09
  table
• 42:10
  and
• 42:10
  pick
• 42:10
  up
• 42:11
  the
• 42:12
  length
• 42:12
  of
• 42:12
  fibers
• 42:12
  I
• 42:13
  need
• 42:13
  from
• 42:13
  the
• 42:13
  end
• 42:14
  and
• 42:14
  then
• 42:15
  prenot
• 42:15
  all
• 42:15
  the
• 42:15
  short
• 42:16
  hairs
• 42:16
  before
• 42:16
  you
• 42:16
  cut
• 42:17
  it
• 42:17
  away
• 42:17
  from
• 42:17
  the
• 42:17
  hide.
• 42:19
  And
• 42:19
  you
• 42:19
  end
• 42:19
  up
• 42:19
  saving
• 42:19
  a
• 42:19
  lot
• 42:20
  of
• 42:20
  bucktail
• 42:20
  that
• 42:20
  way.
• 42:21
  Yeah.
• 42:22
  On
• 42:22
  the
• 42:22
  bucktail
• 42:23
  front,
• 42:23
  any
• 42:23
  preference
• 42:23
  for
• 42:24
  kind
• 42:24
  of
• 42:24
  where
• 42:24
  on
• 42:25
  the
• 42:25
  tail
• 42:25
  you
• 42:25
  like
• 42:26
  to,
• 42:26
  to
• 42:26
  harvest
• 42:27
  the.
• 42:27
  The
• 42:28
  bucktail
• 42:28
  for
• 42:28
  the
• 42:28
  hollow
• 42:29
  flies?
• 42:30
  Again,
• 42:30
  depends
• 42:30
  on
• 42:30
  what
• 42:31
  your
• 42:31
  which
• 42:32
  where
• 42:33
  you're
• 42:33
  using
• 42:33
  it
• 42:33
  on
• 42:34
  the
• 42:34
  fly.
• 42:35
  The
• 42:37
  know
• 42:38
  the
• 42:38
  structure
• 42:38
  of
• 42:38
  a
• 42:38
  bucktail,
• 42:39
  right.
• 42:39
  So
• 42:40
  things
• 42:40
  at
• 42:40
  the
• 42:40
  bottom
• 42:41
  will
• 42:41
  flare
• 42:41
  more.
• 42:41
  They're
• 42:42
  more
• 42:42
  hollow
• 42:42
  hairs
• 42:43
  because
• 42:43
  that's
• 42:43
  on
• 42:44
  the
• 42:44
  tail
• 42:44
  themselves
• 42:44
  is
• 42:45
  where
• 42:45
  it's
• 42:45
  starting
• 42:46
  to
• 42:46
  transfer.
• 42:47
  Transfer
• 42:48
  or
• 42:48
  transition
• 42:49
  to
• 42:50
  deer
• 42:50
  body
• 42:51
  hair.
• 42:51
  So
• 42:51
  everything
• 42:51
  in
• 42:52
  the
• 42:52
  base
• 42:52
  of
• 42:52
  the
• 42:52
  bucktail
• 42:52
  is
• 42:53
  going
• 42:53
  to
• 42:53
  be
• 42:53
  more
• 42:54
  hollow
• 42:54
  in
• 42:54
  nature.
• 42:57
  And
• 42:57
  as
• 42:58
  you
• 42:58
  move
• 42:58
  to
• 42:58
  the
• 42:58
  tip
• 42:58
  of
• 42:59
  the
• 42:59
  bucktail,
• 43:01
  those
• 43:02
  fibers
• 43:03
  will
• 43:03
  be
• 43:04
  less
• 43:04
  hollow
• 43:05
  and
• 43:05
  typically
• 43:06
  a
• 43:06
  little
• 43:06
  bit
• 43:06
  finer.
• 43:08
  So
• 43:08
  I
• 43:08
  want
• 43:08
  something
• 43:09
  not
• 43:09
  to
• 43:09
  flare.
• 43:09
  It'll
• 43:10
  be
• 43:10
  from
• 43:10
  higher
• 43:10
  up
• 43:11
  the
• 43:11
  bucktail
• 43:11
  If
• 43:12
  I
• 43:12
  want
• 43:12
  some
• 43:12
  hints
• 43:12
  of
• 43:12
  flare,
• 43:13
  probably
• 43:13
  closer
• 43:14
  to
• 43:14
  the
• 43:14
  front
• 43:14
  of
• 43:15
  the
• 43:15
  fly
• 43:16
  to
• 43:16
  get
• 43:17
  more
• 43:17
  shape,
• 43:17
  I
• 43:17
  would
• 43:17
  pull
• 43:18
  it
• 43:18
  from
• 43:18
  the
• 43:18
  bottom
• 43:19
  of
• 43:19
  a
• 43:19
  bucktail.
• 43:20
  I
• 43:20
  think
• 43:21
  that
• 43:21
  sweet
• 43:21
  spot
• 43:22
  for
• 43:22
  hollow
• 43:23
  flies
• 43:23
  is
• 43:24
  probably
• 43:26
  between
• 43:27
  half
• 43:27
  and
• 43:28
  two
• 43:28
  thirds
• 43:28
  of
• 43:28
  the
• 43:28
  way
• 43:28
  up
• 43:31
  because
• 43:32
  you
• 43:32
  have
• 43:32
  the
• 43:32
  real
• 43:32
  predictability
• 43:33
  of
• 43:33
  like
• 43:35
  what
• 43:35
  the
• 43:35
  hair
• 43:35
  is
• 43:35
  going
• 43:35
  to
• 43:36
  do
• 43:36
  when
• 43:36
  you
• 43:36
  put
• 43:36
  the
• 43:36
  right
• 43:36
  pressure
• 43:37
  on.
• 43:38
  Got
• 43:39
  it.
• 43:39
  And
• 43:39
  so
• 43:39
  I
• 43:39
  also
• 43:39
  always
• 43:40
  like
• 43:40
  to
• 43:40
  ask
• 43:41
  hardcore
• 43:41
  tires,
• 43:42
  what's
• 43:43
  the
• 43:43
  most
• 43:43
  unusual
• 43:44
  tool
• 43:44
  you
• 43:44
  have
• 43:44
  on
• 43:44
  your
• 43:44
  bench?
• 43:46
  See,
• 43:46
  it's
• 43:47
  funny
• 43:47
  because
• 43:47
  I
• 43:47
  don't
• 43:47
  know
• 43:47
  that
• 43:48
  any.
• 43:48
  I
• 43:48
  don't
• 43:48
  really
• 43:49
  know.
• 43:52
  I
• 43:52
  don't
• 43:52
  consider
• 43:53
  anything
• 43:53
  unusual
• 43:54
  anymore.
• 44:00
  I'm
• 44:00
  looking
• 44:00
  at
• 44:00
  my
• 44:01
  bench
• 44:01
  right
• 44:01
  now.
• 44:03
  The
• 44:04
  two
• 44:04
  things
• 44:04
  stick
• 44:04
  out
• 44:04
  to
• 44:05
  me.
• 44:06
  I'm
• 44:06
  a
• 44:06
  metal
• 44:07
  comb,
• 44:07
  which
• 44:08
  I
• 44:08
  think
• 44:08
  a
• 44:08
  lot
• 44:08
  of
• 44:08
  people
• 44:09
  have
• 44:10
  for
• 44:10
  combing
• 44:11
  out
• 44:11
  fur.
• 44:14
  But
• 44:14
  it's
• 44:14
  like,
• 44:16
  it's
• 44:17
  probably
• 44:17
  like,
• 44:19
  it's
• 44:19
  like
• 44:19
  a
• 44:19
  beauty
• 44:20
  supply
• 44:20
  store
• 44:21
  metal
• 44:21
  comb.
• 44:21
  It's
• 44:22
  like
• 44:22
  really
• 44:22
  nice
• 44:23
  metal
• 44:23
  comb.
• 44:24
  The
• 44:25
  other
• 44:25
  thing
• 44:25
  I
• 44:25
  keep
• 44:28
  is
• 44:28
  really
• 44:29
  nice
• 44:29
  pair
• 44:29
  of
• 44:30
  hackle
• 44:30
  pliers.
• 44:33
  Can
• 44:33
  you
• 44:33
  guess
• 44:34
  why?
• 44:36
  Oh,
• 44:38
  probably
• 44:38
  for
• 44:39
  your
• 44:39
  ostrich,
• 44:39
  right?
• 44:40
  Nope,
• 44:44
  it's
• 44:44
  for
• 44:44
  when
• 44:44
  I
• 44:44
  break
• 44:45
  thread.
• 44:45
  Ah,
• 44:47
  so
• 44:48
  it
• 44:48
  will.
• 44:48
  If
• 44:49
  you
• 44:49
  break
• 44:49
  thread
• 44:50
  and
• 44:50
  you
• 44:51
  can
• 44:51
  grab
• 44:51
  it
• 44:51
  with
• 44:52
  a
• 44:52
  pair
• 44:52
  of
• 44:52
  hackle
• 44:52
  pliers
• 44:53
  and
• 44:53
  hold
• 44:53
  it
• 44:53
  while
• 44:54
  you
• 44:54
  restart
• 44:54
  your
• 44:55
  thread.
• 44:56
  Yeah,
• 44:56
  got
• 44:57
  it.
• 44:57
  I
• 44:57
  gosh,
• 44:57
  I
• 44:58
  would
• 44:58
  say
• 44:58
  I
• 44:58
  have
• 44:58
  like
• 44:58
  a
• 44:58
  love
• 44:59
  hate
• 44:59
  relationship.
• 44:59
  I
• 45:00
  probably
• 45:00
  have
• 45:00
  eight
• 45:00
  different
• 45:01
  kinds
• 45:01
  of
• 45:01
  hackle
• 45:01
  pliers
• 45:02
  over
• 45:02
  on
• 45:02
  my
• 45:02
  desk
• 45:02
  to
• 45:02
  my
• 45:03
  left.
• 45:04
  Just
• 45:05
  because
• 45:05
  I
• 45:05
  can't,
• 45:05
  you
• 45:05
  know,
• 45:05
  you've.
• 45:06
  I
• 45:06
  found
• 45:06
  some
• 45:06
  that
• 45:06
  work
• 45:06
  really,
• 45:07
  really
• 45:07
  well,
• 45:07
  but
• 45:07
  it
• 45:07
  took
• 45:08
  me
• 45:08
  a
• 45:08
  long
• 45:08
  time.
• 45:09
  Yeah,
• 45:10
  I
• 45:10
  like
• 45:10
  the
• 45:10
  teardrop
• 45:11
  ones,
• 45:11
  personally.
• 45:12
  Yeah,
• 45:12
  that's
• 45:12
  the
• 45:12
  one.
• 45:13
  Particularly
• 45:13
  for
• 45:14
  like
• 45:14
  holding
• 45:15
  thread.
• 45:15
  Worked
• 45:16
  really
• 45:16
  well.
• 45:16
  I
• 45:16
  think
• 45:16
  the,
• 45:18
  the
• 45:18
  ones
• 45:18
  I
• 45:18
  got
• 45:18
  when
• 45:19
  I
• 45:19
  first
• 45:19
  started
• 45:19
  tying
• 45:19
  that
• 45:20
  were
• 45:20
  basically
• 45:20
  metal
• 45:20
  with
• 45:21
  like
• 45:21
  a
• 45:21
  little
• 45:21
  bit
• 45:21
  of
• 45:21
  like
• 45:21
  a,
• 45:22
  like
• 45:22
  a
• 45:22
  little
• 45:22
  like
• 45:23
  rubber
• 45:24
  sleeve
• 45:24
  on
• 45:24
  the
• 45:24
  tip
• 45:25
  were
• 45:25
  really
• 45:25
  pretty
• 45:25
  lousy.
• 45:27
  So
• 45:29
  I
• 45:29
  have
• 45:29
  a
• 45:29
  pair
• 45:29
  of
• 45:29
  those
• 45:30
  on
• 45:30
  my,
• 45:30
  on
• 45:30
  my
• 45:31
  table
• 45:31
  right
• 45:31
  now
• 45:32
  too.
• 45:35
  They're
• 45:35
  good.
• 45:35
  Those
• 45:36
  are
• 45:36
  good
• 45:36
  for
• 45:36
  holding
• 45:36
  mono.
• 45:38
  Yeah,
• 45:38
  I'm,
• 45:39
  I
• 45:39
  don't,
• 45:39
  I'm
• 45:40
  not
• 45:40
  a.
• 45:40
  Gosh,
• 45:41
  I
• 45:41
  might
• 45:41
  have
• 45:41
  one
• 45:41
  spool
• 45:42
  of
• 45:42
  mono
• 45:43
  in
• 45:43
  my,
• 45:43
  in
• 45:43
  my
• 45:44
  thread
• 45:44
  rack.
• 45:45
  Yeah,
• 45:46
  it's
• 45:46
  funny.
• 45:46
  And
• 45:47
  so,
• 45:47
  you
• 45:47
  know,
• 45:47
  also
• 45:47
  too,
• 45:48
  I
• 45:48
  always
• 45:48
  like
• 45:48
  to
• 45:48
  ask
• 45:48
  tires.
• 45:49
  You
• 45:49
  know,
• 45:50
  you
• 45:50
  may
• 45:51
  not
• 45:51
  be
• 45:51
  tinkering
• 45:51
  with
• 45:52
  any
• 45:52
  new
• 45:52
  tools
• 45:52
  or
• 45:52
  adhesives
• 45:53
  or
• 45:53
  materials,
• 45:54
  but
• 45:54
  if
• 45:54
  you
• 45:54
  are,
• 45:54
  I'd
• 45:54
  love
• 45:55
  to
• 45:55
  hear
• 45:55
  what
• 45:55
  you're
• 45:55
  kind
• 45:55
  of
• 45:55
  playing
• 45:56
  around
• 45:56
  with.
• 45:57
  No,
• 45:58
  you
• 45:58
  know,
• 45:58
  I,
• 45:58
  I
• 45:59
  don't
• 45:59
  mess
• 45:59
  with
• 46:00
  a
• 46:00
  lot
• 46:00
  of
• 46:00
  like
• 46:01
  new
• 46:01
  stuff,
• 46:03
  you
• 46:03
  know,
• 46:04
  I,
• 46:04
  unless
• 46:05
  I'm
• 46:05
  tying,
• 46:08
  unless
• 46:08
  I'm
• 46:08
  tying
• 46:09
  dry
• 46:09
  flies
• 46:09
  I
• 46:09
  tie
• 46:10
  everything
• 46:10
  with
• 46:10
  monofilament.
• 46:12
  There's
• 46:12
  a
• 46:12
  couple
• 46:13
  exceptions
• 46:13
  there.
• 46:13
  Like
• 46:13
  I,
• 46:14
  I
• 46:14
  like
• 46:14
  to
• 46:14
  use
• 46:14
  gel
• 46:14
  spun
• 46:15
  to
• 46:15
  mount
• 46:15
  clouds
• 46:16
  or
• 46:16
  eyes
• 46:17
  just
• 46:18
  because
• 46:18
  I
• 46:18
  can
• 46:18
  get
• 46:18
  a
• 46:18
  lot
• 46:18
  of
• 46:18
  pressure.
• 46:19
  But
• 46:19
  unless
• 46:20
  I'm
• 46:20
  tying
• 46:20
  dry
• 46:21
  flies,
• 46:23
  it's
• 46:23
  just
• 46:23
  monofilament.
• 46:25
  Not
• 46:25
  by
• 46:25
  the
• 46:26
  case
• 46:27
  or
• 46:27
  case
• 46:28
  of
• 46:28
  12.
• 46:29
  Yeah.
• 46:29
  And
• 46:30
  are,
• 46:30
  are
• 46:30
  you
• 46:30
  still
• 46:30
  using
• 46:31
  Tuffleye?
• 46:33
  I.
• 46:33
  I
• 46:34
  do.
• 46:35
  You
• 46:35
  know
• 46:35
  I
• 46:35
  happen
• 46:35
  to
• 46:35
  have
• 46:36
  still
• 46:36
  a.
• 46:36
  A
• 46:36
  good
• 46:37
  stash
• 46:37
  of
• 46:37
  it
• 46:40
  for
• 46:40
  the.
• 46:40
  You
• 46:40
  know
• 46:41
  I
• 46:41
  tie
• 46:41
  a
• 46:41
  lot
• 46:41
  of
• 46:41
  Albie
• 46:42
  flies
• 46:43
  primarily
• 46:44
  because
• 46:44
  I'm
• 46:44
  usually
• 46:44
  fishing
• 46:45
  for
• 46:45
  them
• 46:45
  from
• 46:45
  a
• 46:45
  jetty
• 46:45
  and
• 46:46
  lose
• 46:46
  a
• 46:46
  lot
• 46:46
  of
• 46:46
  flies
• 46:47
  that
• 46:47
  way.
• 46:51
  Nothing
• 46:51
  to
• 46:51
  like
• 46:53
  not
• 46:53
  catch
• 46:53
  an
• 46:53
  Albion,
• 46:54
  go
• 46:54
  through
• 46:54
  a
• 46:54
  half
• 46:54
  a
• 46:54
  dozen
• 46:55
  flies.
• 46:55
  Fishetti.
• 46:58
  Oh
• 46:58
  yeah.
• 46:58
  I
• 46:58
  still
• 46:59
  use.
• 46:59
  I
• 46:59
  still
• 46:59
  use
• 46:59
  tough
• 47:00
  fly
• 47:02
  but
• 47:02
  that
• 47:02
  was
• 47:02
  the
• 47:02
  first
• 47:02
  thing
• 47:02
  I,
• 47:03
  that's
• 47:03
  the
• 47:03
  first
• 47:03
  light
• 47:04
  beard
• 47:05
  that
• 47:06
  I
• 47:06
  ever
• 47:06
  used.
• 47:08
  I
• 47:08
  have
• 47:08
  a.
• 47:09
  Actually
• 47:09
  have
• 47:09
  a
• 47:10
  personal
• 47:11
  peeve
• 47:12
  the.
• 47:13
  But
• 47:13
  I
• 47:13
  think
• 47:13
  the
• 47:14
  term
• 47:14
  is
• 47:14
  light
• 47:14
  cured
• 47:15
  adhesive.
• 47:16
  It's
• 47:17
  not
• 47:17
  an
• 47:17
  adhesive.
• 47:18
  Like
• 47:19
  I've
• 47:19
  never
• 47:19
  been
• 47:19
  able
• 47:20
  to
• 47:20
  get
• 47:21
  something
• 47:21
  dreary
• 47:22
  to
• 47:22
  stick
• 47:22
  to.
• 47:23
  Great.
• 47:23
  To
• 47:23
  cover
• 47:23
  things
• 47:24
  with
• 47:24
  or
• 47:24
  protect
• 47:24
  things
• 47:25
  with.
• 47:25
  But
• 47:25
  I've
• 47:25
  never
• 47:27
  really
• 47:27
  conformed
• 47:28
  to
• 47:28
  the
• 47:28
  fact
• 47:28
  that
• 47:28
  it
• 47:28
  was
• 47:29
  an
• 47:29
  adhesive.
• 47:29
  But
• 47:30
  yes,
• 47:30
  I
• 47:30
  still
• 47:30
  use
• 47:30
  tough.
• 47:31
  Yeah,
• 47:32
  I've
• 47:32
  got
• 47:32
  some
• 47:33
  in
• 47:33
  one
• 47:33
  of
• 47:33
  my
• 47:33
  time
• 47:34
  boxes
• 47:34
  too.
• 47:35
  And
• 47:35
  all
• 47:36
  the,
• 47:37
  you
• 47:37
  know,
• 47:37
  I
• 47:37
  guess
• 47:38
  fingernail
• 47:38
  polish
• 47:38
  garnishes
• 47:39
  to
• 47:39
  cover
• 47:39
  that
• 47:39
  stuff
• 47:40
  up
• 47:40
  so
• 47:40
  that
• 47:41
  it
• 47:41
  doesn't
• 47:42
  turn
• 47:42
  yellow
• 47:42
  and
• 47:42
  all
• 47:42
  that
• 47:42
  kind
• 47:43
  of
• 47:43
  good
• 47:43
  stuff
• 47:43
  if
• 47:43
  you,
• 47:43
  you
• 47:44
  know,
• 47:44
  don't
• 47:44
  lose
• 47:44
  six
• 47:44
  of
• 47:45
  them
• 47:45
  trying
• 47:45
  to
• 47:45
  catch
• 47:45
  something
• 47:46
  on
• 47:46
  a
• 47:46
  jetty.
• 47:47
  I've
• 47:48
  never
• 47:48
  had
• 47:48
  tough
• 47:48
  fly
• 47:49
  yellow.
• 47:51
  I've
• 47:52
  have,
• 47:52
  I've
• 47:52
  have
• 47:54
  tough
• 47:54
  life
• 47:55
  flies
• 47:55
  that
• 47:55
  are
• 47:56
  10
• 47:56
  years
• 47:56
  old.
• 47:58
  I
• 47:58
  know
• 47:59
  that
• 47:59
  are,
• 47:59
  that
• 47:59
  are
• 48:00
  10
• 48:00
  years
• 48:00
  old.
• 48:00
  I'm
• 48:00
  looking
• 48:00
  at
• 48:01
  one
• 48:01
  right
• 48:01
  now
• 48:03
  and
• 48:03
  I've
• 48:03
  never
• 48:03
  had
• 48:04
  a
• 48:04
  yellow.
• 48:05
  I
• 48:05
  don't
• 48:06
  know
• 48:06
  what
• 48:07
  UV
• 48:07
  stuff
• 48:07
  does.
• 48:08
  I
• 48:08
  mean
• 48:08
  toughly
• 48:09
  for
• 48:09
  people
• 48:09
  that
• 48:09
  don't
• 48:10
  even
• 48:10
  know
• 48:10
  what
• 48:10
  it
• 48:10
  is.
• 48:10
  Cause
• 48:11
  I'm
• 48:11
  sure
• 48:11
  a
• 48:11
  lot
• 48:11
  of
• 48:11
  people
• 48:11
  don't.
• 48:12
  Tough
• 48:13
  fly
• 48:13
  is
• 48:13
  based
• 48:13
  on
• 48:14
  the.
• 48:15
  The
• 48:15
  same
• 48:16
  things
• 48:16
  that
• 48:16
  dental
• 48:17
  dentists
• 48:18
  use.
• 48:18
  It's
• 48:18
  blue
• 48:19
  light.
• 48:19
  It's
• 48:20
  not
• 48:20
  a
• 48:20
  UV
• 48:20
  light
• 48:21
  that
• 48:21
  cures
• 48:21
  it.
• 48:22
  Um,
• 48:23
  so
• 48:23
  I
• 48:23
  can't
• 48:24
  speak
• 48:24
  to
• 48:24
  how
• 48:25
  UV
• 48:25
  stuff
• 48:26
  yellows
• 48:26
  are
• 48:27
  not.
• 48:27
  I
• 48:27
  have
• 48:27
  some
• 48:27
  epoxy
• 48:28
  from
• 48:28
  back
• 48:28
  in
• 48:28
  the
• 48:29
  day
• 48:29
  that
• 48:29
  definitely
• 48:29
  yellows
• 48:30
  but
• 48:30
  I've
• 48:30
  never
• 48:31
  had
• 48:31
  Tuffleye
• 48:31
  yellow.
• 48:33
  Yeah,
• 48:33
  it's
• 48:33
  interesting.
• 48:33
  I
• 48:33
  don't
• 48:34
  even
• 48:34
  know
• 48:34
  can
• 48:34
  you
• 48:34
  still
• 48:34
  get
• 48:35
  it.
• 48:35
  I
• 48:35
  know
• 48:35
  there
• 48:35
  were
• 48:35
  some
• 48:35
  production
• 48:36
  problems
• 48:37
  a
• 48:38
  few
• 48:38
  years
• 48:38
  ago
• 48:38
  and
• 48:38
  maybe
• 48:39
  it
• 48:39
  was
• 48:39
  sold
• 48:40
  because
• 48:40
  it's
• 48:40
  kind
• 48:40
  of.
• 48:40
  It's
• 48:41
  a
• 48:41
  different
• 48:42
  like
• 48:42
  it's
• 48:42
  so
• 48:43
  good
• 48:43
  for
• 48:43
  Candies.
• 48:43
  Right,
• 48:44
  because
• 48:44
  it's
• 48:44
  soft.
• 48:45
  Right.
• 48:45
  It's,
• 48:46
  you
• 48:46
  know,
• 48:46
  it's
• 48:46
  usable
• 48:47
  in
• 48:47
  a
• 48:47
  soft,
• 48:47
  it's
• 48:47
  not
• 48:47
  like
• 48:48
  old
• 48:48
  school
• 48:48
  two
• 48:48
  part
• 48:49
  epoxy.
• 48:50
  And
• 48:50
  to
• 48:50
  me,
• 48:50
  like
• 48:51
  most
• 48:51
  UV
• 48:52
  resins,
• 48:52
  cure
• 48:53
  pretty
• 48:53
  hard.
• 48:54
  Yeah,
• 48:55
  well,
• 48:55
  there's
• 48:56
  different.
• 48:57
  So
• 48:57
  there
• 48:57
  was
• 48:57
  a
• 48:57
  flexible
• 48:58
  one.
• 48:58
  They
• 48:58
  were
• 48:58
  the
• 48:58
  first
• 48:59
  to
• 48:59
  have
• 48:59
  like
• 48:59
  a
• 48:59
  flexible
• 49:00
  one.
• 49:01
  Um,
• 49:01
  but
• 49:02
  the
• 49:02
  regular
• 49:02
  stuff,
• 49:04
  core
• 49:04
  and
• 49:04
  thin,
• 49:06
  they,
• 49:07
  they're
• 49:07
  pretty
• 49:07
  hard.
• 49:08
  I
• 49:09
  mean,
• 49:09
  I've
• 49:09
  definitely,
• 49:11
  I've
• 49:11
  definitely
• 49:11
  dinged
• 49:12
  some
• 49:12
  stuff
• 49:12
  with
• 49:12
  it.
• 49:13
  Um,
• 49:14
  I
• 49:15
  like
• 49:15
  the
• 49:15
  flexible
• 49:15
  stuff
• 49:16
  for
• 49:17
  different
• 49:17
  applications,
• 49:18
  but
• 49:18
  they're,
• 49:18
  they're,
• 49:18
  they're,
• 49:19
  they're
• 49:19
  pretty
• 49:19
  hard.
• 49:20
  Um,
• 49:22
  as
• 49:22
  long
• 49:22
  as
• 49:22
  you
• 49:22
  get
• 49:22
  a
• 49:23
  good,
• 49:23
  again,
• 49:23
  a
• 49:23
  good,
• 49:23
  a
• 49:23
  good
• 49:24
  cure
• 49:24
  on
• 49:24
  them.
• 49:25
  Yeah.
• 49:25
  So
• 49:27
  no,
• 49:27
  no
• 49:27
  exotic
• 49:28
  materials,
• 49:28
  no
• 49:29
  crazy
• 49:29
  bird
• 49:30
  feathers.
• 49:30
  We
• 49:30
  haven't
• 49:30
  heard
• 49:31
  about
• 49:31
  nothing
• 49:31
  like
• 49:31
  that
• 49:31
  floating
• 49:32
  around
• 49:32
  on
• 49:32
  your
• 49:32
  desk.
• 49:34
  Oh
• 49:34
  yeah,
• 49:34
  plenty
• 49:34
  of
• 49:35
  that
• 49:35
  stuff.
• 49:36
  What
• 49:36
  have
• 49:36
  you,
• 49:37
  what
• 49:37
  have
• 49:37
  you
• 49:37
  got
• 49:38
  that
• 49:38
  you're
• 49:38
  playing
• 49:39
  around
• 49:39
  with
• 49:39
  that
• 49:39
  that
• 49:39
  folks
• 49:40
  might
• 49:40
  be
• 49:40
  interested
• 49:40
  in
• 49:40
  hearing
• 49:41
  about?
• 49:43
  I
• 49:43
  found
• 49:43
  a
• 49:44
  new
• 49:44
  love
• 49:44
  for,
• 49:46
  not
• 49:46
  that
• 49:46
  it
• 49:46
  was
• 49:46
  exotic,
• 49:47
  but
• 49:48
  found
• 49:48
  a
• 49:48
  new
• 49:48
  love
• 49:48
  for
• 49:48
  badger
• 49:49
  recently.
• 49:50
  I
• 49:50
  love
• 49:50
  all
• 49:50
  the
• 49:51
  guard
• 49:51
  hairs
• 49:51
  and
• 49:51
  the
• 49:51
  soft
• 49:52
  underfur.
• 49:55
  I,
• 49:56
  I
• 49:56
  love
• 49:56
  herring.
• 49:58
  I
• 49:58
  think
• 49:58
  it's
• 49:59
  really
• 49:59
  cool
• 49:59
  material.
• 50:01
  Happen
• 50:01
  to
• 50:01
  have
• 50:01
  a
• 50:02
  lot
• 50:02
  of
• 50:02
  old,
• 50:02
  old
• 50:03
  heron
• 50:03
  that
• 50:03
  came
• 50:04
  from,
• 50:05
  that
• 50:05
  came
• 50:06
  from
• 50:06
  hat
• 50:06
  pieces
• 50:09
  from
• 50:09
  like
• 50:10
  the
• 50:10
  30s
• 50:11
  and
• 50:11
  40s.
• 50:14
  And
• 50:14
  then
• 50:14
  what
• 50:14
  they
• 50:14
  would
• 50:15
  do
• 50:15
  is
• 50:15
  they
• 50:15
  would
• 50:15
  take
• 50:16
  these
• 50:16
  feathers
• 50:16
  of
• 50:16
  ostrich
• 50:17
  or
• 50:17
  rhea
• 50:18
  or
• 50:19
  these
• 50:19
  big
• 50:20
  oak
• 50:20
  feathers
• 50:21
  and
• 50:21
  they
• 50:21
  would
• 50:21
  steam
• 50:22
  them
• 50:22
  and
• 50:22
  then
• 50:22
  wrap
• 50:23
  them
• 50:24
  and
• 50:24
  then
• 50:24
  once
• 50:24
  they,
• 50:25
  they
• 50:26
  dried,
• 50:26
  they
• 50:26
  would
• 50:27
  kind
• 50:27
  of
• 50:27
  hold
• 50:27
  their
• 50:27
  shape.
• 50:28
  So
• 50:29
  I
• 50:30
  love
• 50:30
  to
• 50:30
  take
• 50:30
  those
• 50:31
  hat
• 50:31
  pieces
• 50:31
  and
• 50:32
  steam
• 50:32
  them
• 50:32
  again
• 50:33
  and,
• 50:33
  and
• 50:33
  let
• 50:34
  the,
• 50:34
  the
• 50:34
  feathers
• 50:34
  unfurl.
• 50:35
  And
• 50:35
  you're
• 50:35
  always
• 50:36
  kind
• 50:36
  of
• 50:36
  surprised
• 50:36
  at
• 50:37
  what
• 50:37
  you
• 50:37
  get
• 50:38
  from
• 50:38
  that
• 50:38
  stuff.
• 50:39
  Um,
• 50:41
  really
• 50:42
  enjoy
• 50:42
  that.
• 50:43
  I
• 50:43
  love
• 50:43
  all
• 50:43
  the
• 50:43
  flightless
• 50:44
  birds.
• 50:45
  Um,
• 50:46
  you
• 50:46
  know,
• 50:47
  people
• 50:47
  have
• 50:47
  seen
• 50:47
  the
• 50:47
  albino
• 50:48
  peacock.
• 50:49
  I
• 50:49
  actually
• 50:49
  have
• 50:50
  a
• 50:50
  whole
• 50:50
  one,
• 50:52
  a
• 50:52
  whole
• 50:52
  skin,
• 50:53
  which
• 50:53
  is
• 50:53
  pretty
• 50:54
  cool.
• 50:54
  Um,
• 50:55
  my
• 50:55
  kids
• 50:55
  make
• 50:55
  fun
• 50:55
  of
• 50:56
  me.
• 50:57
  Um,
• 50:59
  I
• 50:59
  mean,
• 51:01
  if
• 51:01
  it's
• 51:01
  natural
• 51:02
  material,
• 51:03
  if
• 51:03
  I
• 51:03
  don't
• 51:04
  have
• 51:04
  it,
• 51:04
  I,
• 51:04
  I,
• 51:05
  I
• 51:05
  did
• 51:05
  at
• 51:05
  one
• 51:05
  point,
• 51:06
  but
• 51:06
  I
• 51:06
  probably
• 51:06
  have
• 51:06
  it.
• 51:07
  You
• 51:08
  know,
• 51:08
  outside
• 51:08
  of
• 51:08
  the
• 51:09
  really
• 51:09
  rare
• 51:09
  pheasants
• 51:11
  for
• 51:11
  salmon
• 51:11
  flies
• 51:12
  and
• 51:12
  stuff
• 51:12
  like
• 51:12
  that,
• 51:13
  I
• 51:13
  still,
• 51:13
  I
• 51:14
  even
• 51:14
  have
• 51:14
  some
• 51:14
  of
• 51:14
  those,
• 51:15
  but
• 51:16
  I
• 51:16
  mean,
• 51:16
  I
• 51:17
  got
• 51:17
  some.
• 51:17
  I
• 51:17
  wouldn't
• 51:18
  even
• 51:18
  know
• 51:18
  where
• 51:18
  to
• 51:18
  start.
• 51:18
  I
• 51:19
  mean,
• 51:19
  I've
• 51:19
  got
• 51:21
  way
• 51:22
  too
• 51:22
  much
• 51:22
  stuff.
• 51:23
  No,
• 51:23
  I,
• 51:23
  I
• 51:24
  totally
• 51:24
  get
• 51:24
  it.
• 51:24
  I've
• 51:25
  got
• 51:25
  more
• 51:25
  stuff
• 51:26
  to
• 51:26
  tie
• 51:26
  with
• 51:26
  for
• 51:27
  three
• 51:27
  lifetimes,
• 51:27
  I
• 51:27
  think
• 51:28
  over
• 51:28
  here
• 51:28
  on
• 51:28
  my
• 51:28
  tying
• 51:28
  bench.
• 51:30
  Well,
• 51:30
  super
• 51:31
  interesting.
• 51:31
  Well,
• 51:31
  before
• 51:31
  I
• 51:32
  let
• 51:32
  you
• 51:32
  go
• 51:32
  this
• 51:32
  evening,
• 51:32
  are
• 51:33
  you
• 51:33
  working
• 51:33
  on
• 51:33
  kind
• 51:33
  of
• 51:33
  any
• 51:34
  projects
• 51:34
  you
• 51:34
  want
• 51:34
  to
• 51:35
  share
• 51:35
  with
• 51:35
  our
• 51:35
  listeners
• 51:35
  or
• 51:35
  Anything
• 51:36
  kind
• 51:36
  of
• 51:36
  coming
• 51:36
  up
• 51:36
  you
• 51:37
  want
• 51:37
  to
• 51:37
  let
• 51:37
  folks
• 51:37
  know
• 51:37
  about?
• 51:38
  No,
• 51:39
  nothing,
• 51:39
  you
• 51:39
  know,
• 51:40
  nothing,
• 51:40
  Nothing
• 51:41
  new,
• 51:41
  nothing
• 51:41
  out
• 51:42
  of
• 51:42
  this,
• 51:42
  out
• 51:42
  of
• 51:42
  the
• 51:43
  sorts,
• 51:44
  you
• 51:44
  know,
• 51:47
  Morton
• 51:47
  from
• 51:47
  a
• 51:47
  Rex
• 51:48
  comes
• 51:48
  to
• 51:48
  town
• 51:48
  every
• 51:48
  once
• 51:48
  in
• 51:49
  a
• 51:49
  while.
• 51:50
  I'll
• 51:50
  try
• 51:50
  to
• 51:50
  shoot
• 51:51
  a
• 51:51
  video
• 51:51
  or
• 51:51
  two
• 51:51
  with
• 51:51
  him.
• 51:54
  Great
• 51:54
  hooks,
• 51:54
  great
• 51:55
  company,
• 51:55
  great
• 51:55
  people.
• 51:56
  It's
• 51:56
  like
• 51:57
  those
• 51:57
  are
• 51:57
  companies
• 51:58
  I
• 51:58
  try
• 51:58
  to
• 51:59
  try
• 52:00
  to
• 52:00
  support.
• 52:01
  You
• 52:01
  know,
• 52:03
  I
• 52:03
  think
• 52:04
  anyone
• 52:04
  in
• 52:04
  the
• 52:04
  flight
• 52:05
  time
• 52:05
  community
• 52:05
  or
• 52:06
  even
• 52:07
  outside
• 52:07
  the
• 52:07
  flight
• 52:07
  time
• 52:08
  community
• 52:09
  that
• 52:09
  meets
• 52:10
  those
• 52:10
  guys
• 52:11
  would
• 52:11
  have
• 52:11
  the
• 52:11
  same
• 52:12
  sentiment,
• 52:16
  same
• 52:16
  thing,
• 52:17
  you
• 52:18
  know,
• 52:18
  Regal
• 52:19
  Vice,
• 52:19
  great
• 52:20
  group
• 52:20
  of
• 52:22
  guys,
• 52:22
  you
• 52:22
  know,
• 52:23
  obviously
• 52:23
  based
• 52:24
  in
• 52:24
  the
• 52:24
  Northeast.
• 52:26
  Great
• 52:26
  vice,
• 52:27
  but
• 52:28
  no
• 52:28
  projects,
• 52:29
  you
• 52:29
  know,
• 52:30
  but
• 52:30
  I
• 52:31
  get
• 52:31
  questions
• 52:32
  and
• 52:34
  pictures
• 52:34
  sent
• 52:34
  to
• 52:34
  me
• 52:35
  on
• 52:35
  Instagram
• 52:36
  through,
• 52:38
  you
• 52:38
  know,
• 52:38
  private
• 52:39
  message
• 52:41
  daily.
• 52:42
  I
• 52:42
  try
• 52:42
  to
• 52:42
  help
• 52:42
  as
• 52:43
  many
• 52:43
  of
• 52:43
  those
• 52:43
  people
• 52:43
  as
• 52:43
  I
• 52:44
  can.
• 52:44
  You
• 52:44
  know,
• 52:44
  I,
• 52:45
  between
• 52:46
  work
• 52:46
  and
• 52:46
  coaching
• 52:47
  a
• 52:47
  lot
• 52:47
  of
• 52:47
  soccer,
• 52:49
  don't
• 52:49
  see
• 52:50
  as
• 52:50
  much
• 52:50
  see
• 52:50
  me
• 52:51
  as,
• 52:51
  as
• 52:51
  active
• 52:52
  on
• 52:53
  social
• 52:53
  media
• 52:53
  as
• 52:53
  I
• 52:54
  once
• 52:54
  was.
• 52:56
  And
• 52:57
  I
• 52:57
  don't
• 52:57
  know
• 52:57
  that
• 52:58
  if
• 52:58
  I
• 52:58
  have
• 52:58
  something
• 52:59
  new,
• 52:59
  I
• 52:59
  put
• 52:59
  it
• 52:59
  out
• 52:59
  there,
• 53:00
  but
• 53:00
  I
• 53:00
  don't
• 53:01
  know
• 53:01
  what
• 53:01
  there
• 53:02
  is
• 53:02
  new.
• 53:02
  I
• 53:02
  can
• 53:02
  show
• 53:03
  people.
• 53:03
  Not
• 53:03
  that
• 53:03
  I'm
• 53:04
  not
• 53:04
  happy
• 53:04
  to
• 53:04
  help
• 53:05
  answer
• 53:05
  old
• 53:05
  questions,
• 53:07
  you
• 53:07
  know,
• 53:07
  if
• 53:07
  they're
• 53:07
  new
• 53:07
  to
• 53:07
  you.
• 53:08
  Yeah,
• 53:09
  interesting.
• 53:10
  Yeah.
• 53:10
  And
• 53:10
  so
• 53:11
  are
• 53:11
  you
• 53:11
  going
• 53:11
  to
• 53:11
  be,
• 53:11
  you
• 53:12
  know,
• 53:12
  so
• 53:12
  obviously
• 53:13
  kids
• 53:13
  are
• 53:13
  getting
• 53:13
  ready
• 53:13
  to
• 53:14
  get
• 53:14
  out
• 53:14
  of
• 53:14
  school,
• 53:14
  which
• 53:14
  is
• 53:14
  a
• 53:15
  whole
• 53:15
  different
• 53:15
  level
• 53:16
  of
• 53:16
  like,
• 53:16
  you
• 53:16
  know,
• 53:17
  entertainment
• 53:17
  and
• 53:18
  coaching.
• 53:19
  Can
• 53:19
  folks
• 53:20
  expect
• 53:20
  to
• 53:20
  see
• 53:20
  you,
• 53:20
  you
• 53:21
  know,
• 53:21
  at
• 53:21
  the
• 53:21
  Fly
• 53:21
  Tying
• 53:22
  symposium
• 53:22
  in
• 53:22
  November?
• 53:23
  I
• 53:24
  would
• 53:24
  imagine
• 53:24
  a
• 53:24
  definite
• 53:25
  yes
• 53:25
  to
• 53:25
  see
• 53:25
  you
• 53:25
  in
• 53:26
  Edison
• 53:27
  in
• 53:27
  2027,
• 53:28
  right,
• 53:29
  Addison?
• 53:30
  Yes.
• 53:31
  Symposium
• 53:31
  is,
• 53:32
  is
• 53:32
  always
• 53:32
  a
• 53:32
  game
• 53:33
  time
• 53:33
  decision.
• 53:33
  That's
• 53:33
  usually
• 53:34
  like
• 53:35
  when
• 53:35
  I'm
• 53:35
  wrapping
• 53:35
  up
• 53:35
  my
• 53:36
  soccer
• 53:36
  season
• 53:37
  and
• 53:38
  fishing.
• 53:39
  They're
• 53:39
  strikers,
• 53:40
  so
• 53:40
  kind
• 53:40
  of
• 53:41
  hard
• 53:41
  to
• 53:42
  coordinate
• 53:43
  that
• 53:43
  weekend.
• 53:44
  At
• 53:44
  least
• 53:44
  it
• 53:44
  has
• 53:44
  the
• 53:45
  last
• 53:45
  couple
• 53:45
  years.
• 53:48
  And
• 53:48
  do
• 53:48
  you,
• 53:49
  and
• 53:49
  obviously
• 53:49
  I
• 53:50
  know
• 53:50
  you
• 53:50
  were
• 53:50
  at
• 53:50
  Tie
• 53:50
  Fest
• 53:51
  this
• 53:51
  past
• 53:51
  year,
• 53:51
  but
• 53:51
  like,
• 53:51
  do
• 53:52
  you
• 53:52
  do
• 53:52
  Marlboro
• 53:52
  or
• 53:52
  any
• 53:52
  of
• 53:53
  the
• 53:53
  other
• 53:53
  regional
• 53:53
  shows
• 53:53
  in
• 53:53
  the
• 53:54
  Northeast?
• 53:55
  I
• 53:55
  don't
• 53:56
  do
• 53:56
  Marlboro.
• 53:57
  I
• 53:57
  don't
• 53:57
  do
• 53:57
  any
• 53:58
  other
• 53:58
  regional
• 53:58
  shows
• 53:58
  in
• 53:59
  Northeast.
• 54:00
  I've
• 54:00
  done
• 54:01
  Lancaster
• 54:02
  a
• 54:02
  couple
• 54:02
  times
• 54:03
  and
• 54:03
  again,
• 54:04
  kind
• 54:04
  of
• 54:04
  schedule
• 54:05
  dependent,
• 54:08
  you
• 54:08
  know,
• 54:08
  Edison.
• 54:09
  I
• 54:09
  love
• 54:09
  going
• 54:09
  to
• 54:10
  Edison.
• 54:12
  We'll
• 54:12
  always
• 54:12
  have
• 54:12
  my
• 54:12
  heart.
• 54:13
  It's,
• 54:13
  it's,
• 54:14
  it's
• 54:14
  as
• 54:15
  social
• 54:15
  as
• 54:15
  it
• 54:15
  is
• 54:16
  anything
• 54:16
  else
• 54:16
  for
• 54:16
  me.
• 54:17
  Well,
• 54:18
  see
• 54:18
  all
• 54:18
  the
• 54:19
  guys
• 54:20
  that
• 54:20
  I
• 54:20
  see
• 54:21
  on
• 54:21
  the
• 54:21
  beach
• 54:21
  or
• 54:21
  on,
• 54:22
  on
• 54:22
  the
• 54:22
  rivers
• 54:23
  in
• 54:23
  the
• 54:24
  spring,
• 54:24
  summer
• 54:24
  and
• 54:25
  fall.
• 54:25
  I
• 54:25
  get
• 54:25
  to
• 54:25
  see
• 54:25
  them
• 54:25
  mid
• 54:26
  winter
• 54:27
  catching
• 54:27
  with
• 54:27
  friends
• 54:27
  from
• 54:28
  across
• 54:28
  the
• 54:28
  country.
• 54:29
  That's
• 54:29
  always
• 54:30
  great.
• 54:30
  And
• 54:30
  then,
• 54:30
  you
• 54:31
  know,
• 54:31
  it's,
• 54:31
  it's
• 54:31
  always
• 54:32
  nice
• 54:32
  to
• 54:34
  sit
• 54:34
  and
• 54:34
  tie
• 54:36
  something
• 54:37
  for
• 54:37
  someone
• 54:38
  and
• 54:38
  kind
• 54:38
  of
• 54:39
  on,
• 54:40
  on
• 54:40
  the
• 54:40
  spot
• 54:40
  request
• 54:41
  because
• 54:41
  they've
• 54:41
  been
• 54:41
  having
• 54:42
  a
• 54:42
  problem
• 54:42
  or
• 54:43
  have
• 54:43
  a
• 54:43
  question.
• 54:44
  That's.
• 54:44
  That's
• 54:45
  the
• 54:45
  biggest
• 54:45
  reason
• 54:45
  I
• 54:45
  do
• 54:45
  that
• 54:46
  show.
• 54:46
  Yeah,
• 54:47
  very
• 54:47
  cool.
• 54:47
  Yeah,
• 54:47
  it's
• 54:47
  always
• 54:48
  interesting.
• 54:48
  I
• 54:48
  always
• 54:48
  tell
• 54:48
  people
• 54:49
  that,
• 54:49
  like,
• 54:49
  if
• 54:49
  you're
• 54:50
  into
• 54:50
  saltwater,
• 54:50
  you
• 54:50
  definitely
• 54:51
  have
• 54:51
  to
• 54:51
  go
• 54:51
  to
• 54:51
  Edison
• 54:52
  because
• 54:52
  it's,
• 54:53
  you
• 54:54
  know,
• 54:54
  that's
• 54:55
  such
• 54:55
  a
• 54:55
  huge
• 54:55
  component
• 54:56
  of
• 54:56
  that
• 54:56
  show.
• 54:56
  Just
• 54:56
  like
• 54:56
  that
• 54:57
  kind
• 54:57
  of
• 54:57
  traditional
• 54:57
  Pennsylvania,
• 54:59
  you
• 54:59
  know,
• 55:00
  fly
• 55:00
  fishing
• 55:00
  culture
• 55:01
  for
• 55:01
  trout
• 55:01
  is
• 55:02
  in
• 55:02
  Lancaster.
• 55:03
  Yeah,
• 55:03
  very
• 55:04
  much
• 55:04
  so.
• 55:04
  Yeah,
• 55:04
  very
• 55:05
  much
• 55:05
  so.
• 55:06
  So
• 55:06
  if
• 55:07
  folks
• 55:07
  want
• 55:07
  to
• 55:07
  follow
• 55:07
  your
• 55:08
  ventures
• 55:08
  at
• 55:08
  the
• 55:08
  vice
• 55:09
  or
• 55:09
  on
• 55:09
  the
• 55:09
  water,
• 55:09
  where
• 55:09
  should
• 55:10
  they
• 55:10
  go?
• 55:11
  You
• 55:12
  find,
• 55:12
  you
• 55:12
  know,
• 55:13
  me
• 55:13

  Yeah,

  I

  would

  agree

  Well,

  I

  I

  really

• 55:32
  out
• 55:32
  for
• 55:32
  me
• 55:32
  this

• 55:34
  My

• 55:39

  absolutely.
• 55:40
  And
• 55:40
  hopefully,
• 55:40
  I
• 55:40
  think
• 55:41
  I
• 55:41
  maybe
• 55:41
  got
• 55:41
  to
• 55:41
  talk
• 55:41
  to
• 55:42
  you

  for

  45
• 55:42

• 55:45
  I
• 55:45
  guess
• 55:45
  this
• 55:45
  year
• 55:45
  with
• 55:46
  David
• 55:46
  Blinken.
• 55:47
  You
• 55:47
  were
• 55:47
  super
• 55:47
  busy,
• 55:47
  I
• 55:47
  think,
• 55:47
  were
• 55:48
  you
• 55:48
  over
• 55:48
  in
• 55:48
  the
• 55:48

• 55:48
  Den
• 55:48

• 55:49
  I
• 55:50
  was.
• 55:50
  You
• 55:50
  know,
• 55:52
  that's
• 55:52
  a
• 55:52
  great
• 55:52
  group
• 55:52
  of
• 55:52
  guys,
• 55:53
  a
• 55:53
  great,
• 55:54
  great
• 55:54
  shop.
• 55:56
  Hopefully
• 55:56
  try
• 55:56
  to
• 55:57
  put
• 55:57
  together
• 55:57
  a
• 55:57
  class
• 55:57
  up
• 55:57
  there
• 55:58
  next
• 55:58
  year.
• 55:59
  I've
• 55:59
  been
• 55:59
  trying
• 55:59
  to
• 55:59
  get
• 56:00
  together
• 56:00
  for
• 56:00
  a
• 56:00
  couple
• 56:00
  years
• 56:00
  and
• 56:01
  have,
• 56:01
  you
• 56:01
  know,
• 56:01
  line
• 56:02
  the
• 56:02
  stars
• 56:02
  up.
• 56:04
  But,
• 56:04
  yeah,
• 56:04
  you
• 56:04
  know,
• 56:05
  ironically,
• 56:06
  I
• 56:07
  was
• 56:07
  tied
• 56:07
  to
• 56:07
  a
• 56:08
  post
• 56:09
  that
• 56:10
  Friday
• 56:10
  at
• 56:11
  work,
• 56:11
  and
• 56:13
  we
• 56:13
  were
• 56:13
  supposed
• 56:13
  to
• 56:13
  get
• 56:14
  that
• 56:14
  giant
• 56:14
  snow
• 56:15
  on
• 56:15
  Sunday,
• 56:15
  so
• 56:15
  I
• 56:15
  had
• 56:16
  resigned
• 56:16
  myself
• 56:16
  to
• 56:16
  just
• 56:17
  going
• 56:17
  as
• 56:17
  a
• 56:17
  spectator
• 56:19
  and
• 56:19
  Scott
• 56:19
  from
• 56:20
  Bears.
• 56:20
  Then
• 56:21
  it
• 56:21
  called
• 56:22
  me
• 56:23
  to
• 56:24
  see
• 56:24
  if
• 56:24
  I
• 56:24
  was
• 56:24
  willing
• 56:25
  to
• 56:25
  tie
• 56:25
  on
• 56:25
  Saturday,
• 56:26
  and
• 56:27
  I
• 56:27
  think
• 56:27
  he
• 56:27
  called
• 56:27
  me
• 56:28
  on
• 56:28
  Thursday.
• 56:29
  I
• 56:29
  was
• 56:29
  like,
• 56:29
  yeah,
• 56:30
  sure.
• 56:34
  So,
• 56:34
  yeah,
• 56:35
  yeah,
• 56:35
  well,
• 56:36
  yeah,
• 56:37
  well,
• 56:37
  hopefully
• 56:37
  we'll
• 56:37
  get
• 56:37
  to
• 56:38
  spend
• 56:38
  a
• 56:38
  little
• 56:38
  bit
• 56:38
  more
• 56:38
  time
• 56:39
  talking
• 56:39
  to
• 56:39
  each
• 56:39
  other
• 56:40
  in
• 56:40
  2027
• 56:41
  at
• 56:41
  Edison.
• 56:41
  Or
• 56:41
  maybe
• 56:41
  I'll
• 56:42
  see
• 56:42
  you
• 56:42
  right
• 56:42
  before
• 56:42
  Thanksgiving
• 56:43
  and
• 56:44
  at
• 56:44
  the
• 56:44
  fly
• 56:44
  tying
• 56:45
  symposium.
• 56:45
  But
• 56:45
  again,
• 56:45
  I
• 56:46
  really
• 56:46
  appreciate
• 56:46
  it,
• 56:46
  and
• 56:46
  I
• 56:46
  hope
• 56:47
  you
• 56:47
  have
• 56:47
  a
• 56:47
  great
• 56:47
  evening.
• 56:48
  Yeah,
• 56:48
  you
• 56:48
  too,
• 56:49
  buddy.
• 56:49
  Take
• 56:50
  care.
• 56:51
  Well,
• 56:51
  folks,
• 56:51
  we
• 56:52
  hope
• 56:52
  you
• 56:52
  enjoyed
• 56:52
  the
• 56:52
  interview
• 56:53
  as
• 56:53
  much
• 56:53
  as
• 56:53
  we
• 56:54
  enjoyed
• 56:54
  bringing
• 56:54
  it
• 56:54
  to
• 56:55
  you.
• 56:55
  Don't
