- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York Case still Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven tenor Hey, well, I got a
- 0:10Speaker 1: lot to get through today. It's Friday. You got a
- 0:12Speaker 1: three day weekend. Just ahead, we'll get to President Trump.
- 0:15Speaker 1: We've got bad news for Democrats. We we'll get the shutdown.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We'll get to Mom, Donnie in this big meeting. We'll
- 0:22Speaker 1: get to the latest on the Guthree case. We'll get
- 0:25Speaker 1: to Christy Nome, Don Lemon and Moore. Just ahead. Yeah,
- 0:30Speaker 1: you got a three day weekend coming up, and thirty
- 0:33Speaker 1: five days until spring. That's exactly five weeks. Five weeks
- 0:38Speaker 1: left until spring begins. You can do it. You can
- 0:41Speaker 1: get through it. It's going to be in the forties
- 0:44Speaker 1: until about Wednesday, and the snow will be gone by
- 0:47Speaker 1: the end of the weekend once and for all. That'll
- 0:49Speaker 1: be great news. So hey, if you're a Democrat, you
- 0:54Speaker 1: may want to cover your ears. We have bad news.
- 0:57Speaker 1: The inflation number came out. It's down. It's down again,
- 1:01Speaker 1: it's down every time. It's down to two point four percent.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Now you'll see if you're watching fake news CNN, MSNBC,
- 1:09Speaker 1: New York Times, they'll say, well, two point four percent
- 1:11Speaker 1: is it's not good. It's a good. Remember when it
- 1:14Speaker 1: was nine percent under Joe Biden, they didn't mention it.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Remember was six percent under Joe Biden, eight percent, nine percent,
- 1:20Speaker 1: there was no cause for alarm. But two point four percent,
- 1:23Speaker 1: it's very bad. That's that's very good, very good. It's
- 1:26Speaker 1: down and the core inflation number is down as well,
- 1:29Speaker 1: which is which is even more important. So that's very
- 1:32Speaker 1: good news. President at the White House, but soon leaving
- 1:37Speaker 1: for Fort Bragg where he'll speak to the troops. Then
- 1:41Speaker 1: after that he'll head to Florida to Palm Beach Tomorrow
- 1:44Speaker 1: a Lago three day weekend. He'll be there all weekend,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and tonight he has a private dinner there with somebody
- 1:51Speaker 1: at mar A Lago. And then tomorrow night it's the
- 1:55Speaker 1: whole crowd, all the Jentas, the all the members of
- 1:58Speaker 1: mar A Lago, the whole Howie crowd. We'll all be
- 2:01Speaker 1: there chasing him around the room. Hey, you got another
- 2:05Speaker 1: government shutdown most likely coming at midnight tonight. Yesterday the Democrats,
- 2:11Speaker 1: led by Chuck Schumer, voted down any chance of reopening
- 2:15Speaker 1: the government. They voted for shutdown. Another Schumer shutdown is coming. Now.
- 2:21Speaker 1: The good news is the important stuff. A lot of
- 2:26Speaker 1: this is over Department of Homeland Security, but included in
- 2:29Speaker 1: that is the Coastguard, FEMA TSA. Now most of these elements,
- 2:35Speaker 1: like TSA, they've got enough funding to keep going for
- 2:39Speaker 1: a month or so, so they got about a month
- 2:41Speaker 1: to sell. It's enough money to pay everybody and make
- 2:44Speaker 1: the payroll. But Schumer loves these shutdowns.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Today's strong vote was a shot across the bow to Republicans.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Democrats will not support a blank check for chaos. I
- 2:58Speaker 1: love when he gets passionate, passionate. He puts on the
- 3:01Speaker 1: big glasses. He's got these new big, big, clunky, clunky glasses,
- 3:06Speaker 1: and he's so passionate. He whatever he's saying, it's typed
- 3:09Speaker 1: out on an index card. Just even with the big glasses,
- 3:13Speaker 1: they still have to use a large font. So they
- 3:16Speaker 1: type it out on an index card, and he reads
- 3:20Speaker 1: that card like this. It's like some passionate statement. But
- 3:25Speaker 1: he reads it like this off the index card, and
- 3:29Speaker 1: it's not like he practices it or anything. They hand
- 3:32Speaker 1: him the card sometimes they're driving somewhere. They give to
- 3:35Speaker 1: him in the car. He looks at it for a
- 3:36Speaker 1: second and then he reads it like this, and this
- 3:41Speaker 1: has been going on for thirty forty years. Maybe he
- 3:43Speaker 1: got away with this in the eighties, but it's twenty
- 3:46Speaker 1: twenty six. People know better, you know, people realize what
- 3:50Speaker 1: a stiff this guy is, What a plastic phony stiff
- 3:54Speaker 1: of a old fossil, of an old dinosaur, old fashioned politician.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Who really got to get rid of this guy? No,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you can't run for reelection, but I think you're stuck
- 4:02Speaker 1: with them till I think it's twenty twenty eight. So
- 4:07Speaker 1: expect to shut down over the weekend. I keep telling
- 4:09Speaker 1: you this because you otherwise you wouldn't notice. How the
- 4:11Speaker 1: hell would you notice? The government shuts down every weekend anyway, So, hey,
- 4:16Speaker 1: a big thing happened yesterday. This is going to make
- 4:18Speaker 1: a big difference in people's lives. President Trump and Secretary
- 4:24Speaker 1: of Energy Lee Zelden have gotten rid of all the
- 4:28Speaker 1: Obama ridiculous climate change nonsense regulations. There was a massive
- 4:34Speaker 1: amount of these anti greenhouse gas policies. What it did
- 4:40Speaker 1: was it drove up the price of everything. It drove
- 4:42Speaker 1: up the price of your car a couple thousand dollars,
- 4:46Speaker 1: It drove up the price of gas everything. So they
- 4:49Speaker 1: finally got it all dumped yesterday. They've gotten rid of
- 4:53Speaker 1: all this Obama era anti greenhouse gas. Now you might think, well,
- 4:57Speaker 1: wait a minute, don't we need that. Isn't that stopping
- 5:01Speaker 1: carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide coming out of vehicles?
- 5:05Speaker 1: And yeah, but it didn't do anything. It had no effect,
- 5:09Speaker 1: zero effect on the environment, zero effect on climate. In fact,
- 5:13Speaker 1: climate change got worse with these regulations. It had absolutely
- 5:16Speaker 1: no effect. And by getting rid of it, this is
- 5:20Speaker 1: great news. It'll save one point three trillion dollars one
- 5:25Speaker 1: point three trillion, about four thousand dollars per US resident,
- 5:31Speaker 1: and the average car cost will now be twenty four
- 5:34Speaker 1: hundred dollars less, So a car, average price of a
- 5:37Speaker 1: car go down twenty four one hundred dollars. That's great news.
- 5:41Speaker 1: President talking about it yesterday.
- 5:43Speaker 3: His EPA designated fossil fuels such as oil, yes, and
- 5:52Speaker 3: other things that actually make factories rock and roll and
- 5:58Speaker 3: other things drive very nice as a threat to health
- 6:02Speaker 3: and human welfare.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Ye see, I don't like when he talks slow and
- 6:05Speaker 1: it's a little shumerash. You got to talk a little faster,
- 6:07Speaker 1: But it's important. It's a big breakthrough. You're going to
- 6:10Speaker 1: save a lot of money because of this.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Effective immediately, we're repealing the ridiculous endangerment finding and terminating
- 6:16Speaker 3: all additional green emission standards imposed unnecessarily on vehicle models
- 6:22Speaker 3: and engines between twenty twelve and twenty twenty seven and beyond.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it was ridiculous these regulations, and again, climate change
- 6:30Speaker 1: got worse under these regulations. It did absolutely nothing to help.
- 6:33Speaker 1: All it did was drive up the price of everything
- 6:36Speaker 1: for everybody.
- 6:37Speaker 3: This action will limit it over one point three trillion
- 6:39Speaker 3: dollars of regulatory costs and help bring car prices tumbling
- 6:44Speaker 3: down dramatically.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, the Nancy Guthrie case, I don't know.
- 6:49Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 6:49Speaker 1: It's day thirteen, now day thirteen. You know, she needs medicine.
- 6:54Speaker 1: She has certain medications she has to take every day
- 6:57Speaker 1: for her heart, for blood pressure, that sort of stuff.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It's now thirteen days without that medication. Thirteen days without it.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Doctors have said, well, you could go a couple of weeks.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Well we're at a couple of weeks without it. Not
- 7:09Speaker 1: to mention she has a pacemaker. So I don't know.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I don't know what to think. They've uped the reward
- 7:14Speaker 1: it was fifty thousand dollars for information. Now it's one
- 7:17Speaker 1: hundred thousand. A lot of people pointing out that's a
- 7:20Speaker 1: pretty chintzy reward. A lot of people saying it should
- 7:23Speaker 1: be two hundred and fifty thousand, a million dollars. I mean,
- 7:27Speaker 1: for the biggest case in the world right now, kidnapping,
- 7:31Speaker 1: it's a chintzy. Chintzy is fifty thousand dollars, but they
- 7:33Speaker 1: raise it to one hundred thousand. Now, maybe they don't
- 7:36Speaker 1: want to do a big, huge reward because they don't want,
- 7:39Speaker 1: you know, get the reward too big. Everybody in the
- 7:41Speaker 1: world starts making all kinds of claims on it, and
- 7:44Speaker 1: you get too many false tips. So far, they've got
- 7:47Speaker 1: eighteen hundred or is it eighteen thousand something like, some
- 7:50Speaker 1: ridiculous number of tips have come in. It takes an
- 7:52Speaker 1: incredible amount of manpower to run that down. There's a
- 7:56Speaker 1: one problem, and there's a fight between the FBI and
- 8:00Speaker 1: the local sheriff over custody of the evidence and testing
- 8:04Speaker 1: of the evidence. You know, they found a glove, they
- 8:06Speaker 1: found this, They found that they might have found some DNA.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You want to send that to the FBI crime lab
- 8:12Speaker 1: in Quantico, state of the art, best lab to analyze
- 8:16Speaker 1: this stuff. The local sheriff would not give the stuff
- 8:18Speaker 1: to the FBI, and instead they used the lab they use,
- 8:22Speaker 1: which is some lab in Florida, some private lab which
- 8:25Speaker 1: is probably not as good. Local sheriff denying all of this,
- 8:30Speaker 1: I mean, he admits he sent it to this other lab,
- 8:32Speaker 1: but denying that he didn't coordinate with the FBI. But
- 8:35Speaker 1: he but the truth is he didn't, and he's saying,
- 8:38Speaker 1: when it comes back from the Florida lab, the FBI
- 8:41Speaker 1: can take it to Quantico. Well, first of all, what
- 8:44Speaker 1: a delay. And second of all, you lose the DNA.
- 8:47Speaker 1: You know, when you get a DNA sample a drop
- 8:49Speaker 1: of sweat or something like that, it's a very tiny,
- 8:52Speaker 1: tiny sample and every time you test it, you'll lose
- 8:55Speaker 1: a bunch of it. So there might after the testing
- 8:57Speaker 1: in Florida, there might not be enough less left for
- 9:01Speaker 1: a test by the FBI. So this local sheriff screwing
- 9:04Speaker 1: things up like crazy. They put up that white tent
- 9:07Speaker 1: in front of her house yesterday while they did something
- 9:11Speaker 1: in there, they took some stuff out of the house
- 9:14Speaker 1: again that could have been DNA samples. They took They
- 9:17Speaker 1: also removed that camera, that doorbell camera, that Google Nest camera.
- 9:24Speaker 1: They took the camera, the housing everything. I don't know what.
- 9:27Speaker 1: And maybe they think there's an image stored in there,
- 9:30Speaker 1: or maybe they think there's DNA on there that they
- 9:33Speaker 1: might be able to find. But they took it and
- 9:36Speaker 1: the tent has come down. But we'll wait and see.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's thirteen days. It's a very very long time to
- 9:42Speaker 1: have somebody, you know, hold kidnappers, to hold somebody, so
- 9:46Speaker 1: we'll see. Hey, Don Lemon goes to court today, two
- 9:50Speaker 1: o'clock today. Don Lemon in Minnesota goes to court to
- 9:53Speaker 1: get a rained. You know, he hired the big famous
- 9:56Speaker 1: Washington DC lawyer, Abby Lowell. You know that's who represents
- 10:01Speaker 1: the Clintons and the Hunter Biden. He's the big DC lawyer,
- 10:04Speaker 1: big big lawyer, Abbi Lowell, a guy, Abby Lowell. And
- 10:09Speaker 1: he's now added to his team a very serious criminal
- 10:13Speaker 1: lawyer in Minnesota. So he's worried. He went out and
- 10:17Speaker 1: hired a serious criminal lawyer. Now, when you're going to
- 10:20Speaker 1: get indicted by the US Attorney's Office, usually whatever the town,
- 10:26Speaker 1: that is the best lawyer you can get. Besides the
- 10:29Speaker 1: best criminal lawyer. You want a guy who's a former
- 10:31Speaker 1: prosecutor in that office, because nobody knows that office better
- 10:35Speaker 1: than the former prosecutor, and he knows everybody there. He
- 10:38Speaker 1: can work out a better deal for you. So that's
- 10:41Speaker 1: what Lemon's done. He's hired a guy who was a
- 10:43Speaker 1: federal prosecutor in that office for about seventeen years, who
- 10:47Speaker 1: left and is now a private criminal lawyer. That's who
- 10:50Speaker 1: Don Lemon has hired. So we'll see at two o'clock
- 10:53Speaker 1: today what happens now. The Stonewall Inn, it's down in
- 11:00Speaker 1: Greenwich Village and it was a bar, tavern whatever it is,
- 11:04Speaker 1: a stonewall in, and it was a place where a
- 11:07Speaker 1: lot of gay people hung out back in nineteen sixty eight,
- 11:10Speaker 1: and this was you know, this is a different era
- 11:13Speaker 1: back then, and there were a number of police raids
- 11:17Speaker 1: and they built up this whole fake story that the
- 11:21Speaker 1: reason for the police raids was because it was a
- 11:24Speaker 1: gay place and they were all gay people there and
- 11:26Speaker 1: they were harassing the gay people. This is actually not true,
- 11:29Speaker 1: believe it or not. It was owned by the mob.
- 11:32Speaker 1: It was owned by a big mob, a bunch of
- 11:35Speaker 1: big mobsters, and the police were going after these mobsters.
- 11:38Speaker 1: This is no secret. I mean, this is a matter
- 11:40Speaker 1: of record. It was really these mobsters they were trying
- 11:43Speaker 1: to get and they kept raiding the bar. They kept
- 11:45Speaker 1: trying to get these mob guys on something, and they
- 11:48Speaker 1: were major, major mobsters. But when they went down there
- 11:51Speaker 1: to do the raids, the gay people in the bar,
- 11:54Speaker 1: men and women started to organize and resist the cops.
- 11:57Speaker 1: It looked kind of like Minnesota flashes and all of that.
- 12:01Speaker 1: So somehow it became a landmark symbol of fighting for
- 12:04Speaker 1: gay rights, even though the cops were there to get
- 12:07Speaker 1: these mob guys and it was really a mobbed up place.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I mean, the gay people had nothing to do with
- 12:11Speaker 1: the mob, but that's really what it's all about. So
- 12:14Speaker 1: it just became this fake symbol, this fake monument. Through
- 12:17Speaker 1: the years, this whole myth built up that the cops
- 12:19Speaker 1: were harassing the gay patrons, which is not true. So
- 12:24Speaker 1: it was like this symbol of gay pride. And then
- 12:27Speaker 1: through the years, somehow somewhere it became a national landmark,
- 12:30Speaker 1: which means it's under the control of the National Parks Department,
- 12:33Speaker 1: Department of the Interior, and they had a gay pride
- 12:37Speaker 1: flag up in front of it. Well the other day,
- 12:41Speaker 1: earlier this week, the Department of the Interior said, we
- 12:44Speaker 1: have rules, you know, only American flags on national government property,
- 12:49Speaker 1: national parks. So they took down the Pride flag. And
- 12:53Speaker 1: it's a good thing. I'm all for a Pride flag.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I think that's fine to put it up there. But
- 12:57Speaker 1: it's a good thing because you have to give these
- 12:59Speaker 1: angry days democrats something to do. Every week. They're all angry.
- 13:03Speaker 1: They want to yell around and scream and run around
- 13:05Speaker 1: and protest. They want to get mad, they want to
- 13:07Speaker 1: go crazy. So you have to give them something to
- 13:09Speaker 1: get mad about. Taking down the flag, give him something
- 13:13Speaker 1: to do. This week, you know, Minnesota was kind of over.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Tom Homan announced they're pulling out. So you gotta give
- 13:18Speaker 1: these people something to yell about. They enjoy being angry.
- 13:22Speaker 1: This is their hobby, these democrats. They want to all
- 13:25Speaker 1: these liberals, you have friends like this, They want to
- 13:27Speaker 1: be angry. They like to watch MSNBC get all riled
- 13:30Speaker 1: up about something, get furious, protests, go out and yell
- 13:34Speaker 1: and scream, go online and make all kinds of crazy sticks.
- 13:37Speaker 1: So you had to give them something to yell about.
- 13:39Speaker 1: This was for the way. It's like a dog. You know,
- 13:41Speaker 1: you got to keep throwing the ball, let them go
- 13:43Speaker 1: catch it, throw it again, let them go catch. You
- 13:45Speaker 1: gotta give the dog something to do. So it's the
- 13:47Speaker 1: same thing with the left wing coops. You got to
- 13:49Speaker 1: give them something to do. So it gave him something
- 13:51Speaker 1: to do. So yesterday, the mayor, the governor, everybody was
- 13:55Speaker 1: behind this. They put up their own flag with their
- 13:57Speaker 1: own pole in front of it, and it was great.
- 14:00Speaker 1: It gave all the left wing cooks something to do.
- 14:02Speaker 1: They go down around that flag pole, talk to reporters,
- 14:05Speaker 1: yell on the screen.
- 14:05Speaker 5: We are reclaiming our space. It's reclaiming our people, it's
- 14:08Speaker 5: reclaiming our culture. The flag has so much meaning behind it.
- 14:12Speaker 5: The colors represent the diversity of our community. These are
- 14:15Speaker 5: things that you can't take away from the community, which
- 14:18Speaker 5: is why it's so important for us to raise it again.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you hear them yelling in the no. The funniest
- 14:23Speaker 1: thing they said yesterday one of them I don't have
- 14:24Speaker 1: the clip, but one of them is on TV and
- 14:26Speaker 1: he said, you can't erase history. You can't erase history.
- 14:31Speaker 1: This is the same crowd that took down every statue,
- 14:33Speaker 1: changed the name of every air Force base, took everybody's
- 14:36Speaker 1: name of everything. They took down a million statues of people.
- 14:40Speaker 1: You had to change the name of the school and
- 14:42Speaker 1: air force base you could. All they do is a
- 14:44Speaker 1: race history. Suddenly you can't erase history. You gotta give
- 14:47Speaker 1: these people credit. Got to give them credit. They can
- 14:49Speaker 1: turn on a dime. They can flip flop. Whatever they're for.
- 14:53Speaker 1: The Trump's for it, they're against it. If Trump's against it,
- 14:56Speaker 1: they're for it. They just keep They're very, very versatile.
- 14:59Speaker 1: They can just keep turning around. Hey, coming up, we'll
- 15:01Speaker 1: get to we'll get to the big meeting. The mayor
- 15:05Speaker 1: of Minneapolis, fry I came to New York to meet
- 15:08Speaker 1: with Mom Donnie. Imagine these two geniuses together. Imagine the
- 15:12Speaker 1: brain power in that room, the management experience of these
- 15:15Speaker 1: two of these It's like a like an idiot's convention.
- 15:18Speaker 1: So we'll we'll get to that and more. Coming up,
- 15:20Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three to two
- 15:23Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three
- 15:27Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten in Mark on Demand by
- 15:32Speaker 1: setting up pre sad for his podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 15:36Speaker 6: Now back to Mark Simon on wo.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Let's tex and calls eight hundred three to two one
- 15:45Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to uh VIC, Pennsylvania, Vic.
- 15:49Speaker 1: How you doing.
- 15:51Speaker 4: I'm doing great, uh?
- 15:53Speaker 7: Mark.
- 15:53Speaker 4: One thing, if the Republicans they eliminate the filibusta even
- 16:00Speaker 4: if they if we lose the Congress, still Trump has
- 16:06Speaker 4: the veto power.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Mike, what are you trying to say? What are you
- 16:08Speaker 1: talking about? Filibuster? Who cares? It's like too complicated?
- 16:14Speaker 7: All right?
- 16:14Speaker 4: And the second thing is, h how about Vincent doing
- 16:18Speaker 4: a podcast?
- 16:19Speaker 1: Yeah, he'd be very good at that. He'd be good
- 16:21Speaker 1: at that. Everybody else has support it. I'm willing to
- 16:25Speaker 1: really how much?
- 16:27Speaker 7: Uh you know?
- 16:28Speaker 1: A grand or two? Really? Right? That sounds good? All right,
- 16:34Speaker 1: Well we'll pass it along to him. Let's go to
- 16:36Speaker 1: uh Mara in Nevada. Mara, how you doing?
- 16:39Speaker 2: Oh good, I'm talking to you child, Vince A good podcast. Mark.
- 16:43Speaker 2: We live out here in the desert. We have cameras
- 16:46Speaker 2: around the house, plus every window, every door is along.
- 16:50Speaker 2: In addition, I an old lady. I wear a panic
- 16:53Speaker 2: button around my next day and night. Why if I
- 16:57Speaker 2: fall down here in my apartment? Is the side of
- 16:59Speaker 2: their house, I press the button, they come and rescue me.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Or what the fire department comes and rescues me. How come,
- 17:06Speaker 2: Nancy with the sick old lady, you don't have any
- 17:09Speaker 2: of these precautions.
- 17:10Speaker 1: That's a good point. Do you have an Apple Watch?
- 17:12Speaker 2: I do not have because I can't. I have on
- 17:15Speaker 2: a land line, I can't. May have low vision marks.
- 17:17Speaker 2: You navigate the Apple because a good.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Thing with the Apple Watch, if you fell, it will
- 17:22Speaker 1: automatically call for help. It knows you felt okay, all right.
- 17:26Speaker 2: That's better than what I have. I could wear it
- 17:29Speaker 2: in the shower. You know what my son said to
- 17:31Speaker 2: me when I told him Michael wearing in a shower.
- 17:33Speaker 2: He said, he feels so sorry for any fireman got
- 17:36Speaker 2: to see me naked in the shower.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I bet you a million firemen have seen you naked
- 17:41Speaker 1: through the.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Now, you know, Mark, I'm in the shower. I know
- 17:47Speaker 2: I have to worry about falling. I have to worry
- 17:49Speaker 2: about being naked in the shower.
- 17:51Speaker 1: You're making everybody sick. You got to stop kidding.
- 17:56Speaker 2: No.
- 17:56Speaker 1: You know the good thing about that Apple Watch. If
- 17:58Speaker 1: you fall, take a real fall, it will automatically call
- 18:02Speaker 1: for help.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I know it's better than what I have because I
- 18:05Speaker 2: could knock myself unconscious and then I can't read.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Yeah, well, the Apple Watch would call. In fact, you
- 18:10Speaker 1: take a big fall, it says it's going to call,
- 18:13Speaker 1: and unless you stop it, it makes the call. All right, Mara,
- 18:15Speaker 1: thanks for calling. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 18:19Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 18:21Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark's Mike, I forget the context. On Monday
- 18:25Speaker 7: you mentioned MERV Griffin and Mike Douglas and got me
- 18:28Speaker 7: thinking about those two great old shows. You know, they
- 18:31Speaker 7: were on the air between the two of them like
- 18:33Speaker 7: forty five years and I went to IMDb and was
- 18:36Speaker 7: looking up there guest list. It's unbelievable. I mean, from
- 18:39Speaker 7: Jackie Mason to Jane Fonda, Charles Nelson Widley. I mean,
- 18:42Speaker 7: Mike Douglas had John Lennon co host with him for
- 18:44Speaker 7: a week, which is, you know, in today's day and age,
- 18:48Speaker 7: you couldn't have a more diametrically opposed at least looking
- 18:50Speaker 7: you know, characters Mike Douglas and John Lennon, and also
- 18:54Speaker 7: people forget the Dina had a show back then.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Every day I was on Yeah, you know, I was
- 19:00Speaker 1: talking to Dick Cavot once about this, because he was
- 19:03Speaker 1: famous for having the biggest names in the world, names
- 19:05Speaker 1: nobody else could get, like Catherine Hepburn and Marlon Brando
- 19:09Speaker 1: and orson, all these unbelieable and he said, this is
- 19:12Speaker 1: a couple of years ago. He said, he can't do
- 19:14Speaker 1: it today because who would those names be today. There's
- 19:17Speaker 1: nobody today that's a big star to everybody.
- 19:20Speaker 7: It's true.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, like Bad Bunny, he's a big, big star.
- 19:23Speaker 1: He's about the hottest selling recording artist. But half the
- 19:26Speaker 1: population never heard of him. And so name is star
- 19:30Speaker 1: that everybody would know or want to hear. Right now,
- 19:33Speaker 1: there isn't There isn't.
- 19:34Speaker 7: As much social media. They don't really have to do
- 19:36Speaker 7: those things, you know. That's the other thing, you know.
- 19:38Speaker 7: You know, back in the day, even Jane Fine had
- 19:40Speaker 7: to go on the Burk Griffin Show to get you know,
- 19:42Speaker 7: you know, a movie talked about or whatever.
- 19:45Speaker 1: She was like, yeah, that's the other thing. He used
- 19:46Speaker 1: to go on those shows. You had to plug something.
- 19:48Speaker 1: But right, yeah, all right, Mike, thanks for calling. It's
- 19:51Speaker 1: a big problem today because right here at iHeart we
- 19:56Speaker 1: have the five, six, seven biggest radio stations in the world. Right,
- 20:00Speaker 1: you're on this floor. Now, right over there's Power one
- 20:02Speaker 1: five Breakfast Club, and down there is Light FM, and
- 20:05Speaker 1: over there the Z one hundred, and they each have
- 20:07Speaker 1: the biggest names for their audience coming up here every
- 20:11Speaker 1: morning to do these shows. But for these three stations,
- 20:15Speaker 1: don't know who the hell those guests are. Down there
- 20:17Speaker 1: because it's not their format. They don't know those artists,
- 20:20Speaker 1: and down there they don't know who's on this station
- 20:23Speaker 1: because it's all splintered. There's nobody again. Bad Bunny is
- 20:29Speaker 1: as big as you can get. He's the biggest music
- 20:31Speaker 1: star in the world. But when he suddenly shows up
- 20:33Speaker 1: at the super Bowl, you know, sixty percent of America
- 20:36Speaker 1: dos know who the guy is. It's the same thing
- 20:39Speaker 1: with well and everything. Even television. Nobody watches the same show.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Every time you talk to oh, have you been watching
- 20:47Speaker 1: Royal Palm? And I don't know what it is. You're
- 20:49Speaker 1: not watching it. Every time they tell you about a
- 20:51Speaker 1: TV show, you never heard of it. You know, if
- 20:54Speaker 1: this were years ago, everybody watched Seinfeld, talked about it
- 20:57Speaker 1: the next day, everybody watched Cheer. But if you took
- 21:01Speaker 1: the ten top biggest streaming shows today, eighty percent of
- 21:05Speaker 1: America's never seen them and they don't even know what
- 21:07Speaker 1: they are. It's and you can't just watch them. You know,
- 21:10Speaker 1: when they tell you you got to watch this series,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I do. You've got to watch them. Okay, how many
- 21:16Speaker 1: it's twelve seasons, but you got to start from the beginning.
- 21:18Speaker 1: You must watch from the beginning. Who has time to
- 21:20Speaker 1: watch all this stuff? Hey, the president of Netflix was
- 21:24Speaker 1: under fire. Oh no, it's the president of Instagram. Because
- 21:31Speaker 1: they have this algorithm where they train you to keep watching,
- 21:34Speaker 1: like they just waste all your time, keep watching and
- 21:37Speaker 1: it's ruining kids. And he testified. He said, it's the
- 21:41Speaker 1: same as Netflix or any streaming service. It's just binge watching.
- 21:44Speaker 1: It's not our algorithm. People are in the habit of
- 21:47Speaker 1: just binge watching. They just can't stop anymore. They're not disciplined,
- 21:50Speaker 1: like he said, Well it could be. But hey, you
- 21:52Speaker 1: know who will ask. We'll ask Roda Sheer. She'll be
- 21:54Speaker 1: with us next, the great TV star, fashion star, nobody
- 21:59Speaker 1: better on social media. We'll get to Ronda Sheer next
- 22:02Speaker 1: on seven ten wor mister New York Mama, Mark Simon
- 22:07Speaker 1: seven ten wo r Well, you all know Ronda shere
- 22:12Speaker 1: of course, TV star, best selling author Fashion Empire. That's
- 22:16Speaker 1: just incredible. You can go to Rhondasheer dot com and
- 22:18Speaker 1: she you know, up all Night is back on. I'm
- 22:21Speaker 1: sure there'll be a big Friday the thirteenth special tonight
- 22:24Speaker 1: and follow her on Twitter and Instagram and all that stuff.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Rhonda Shear, how you doing?
- 22:30Speaker 8: I am so good? Well, happy pre Valentine's Day?
- 22:33Speaker 1: Hey, up all night? You have you're on tonight?
- 22:36Speaker 7: Right? We are?
- 22:37Speaker 6: We are on kingsofhrror dot com or go to YouTube
- 22:41Speaker 6: and just search Kings of Horror h O R r
- 22:45Speaker 6: R Award. I can't say ten TM Eastern. And of
- 22:48Speaker 6: course it's an iconic show. It is the Slumber Party
- 22:52Speaker 6: Lingerie Olympics.
- 22:55Speaker 8: So what does that mean.
- 22:57Speaker 6: It means I have some beautiful babes that are screaming
- 23:00Speaker 6: queen stars on and they're playing Twister and the Limbo
- 23:07Speaker 6: and all kinds of fun, crazy stuff that we used
- 23:10Speaker 6: to do back in the nineties. And the movie is
- 23:12Speaker 6: Babe Watch. So it's iconic kind of show from back
- 23:15Speaker 6: in the nineties.
- 23:16Speaker 1: This are you allowed to do this in twenty twenty six?
- 23:21Speaker 8: On YouTube? You can do anything except so nudity and have.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Language, okay, and now this langerie you designed that, right.
- 23:26Speaker 8: We can do it back then you could do you know,
- 23:29Speaker 8: it's really funny.
- 23:29Speaker 6: We told all these we have really these mel Heflinn
- 23:33Speaker 6: won't mean anything to you, but she's a big star
- 23:35Speaker 6: in the horror world, Jessa Flux, big star in the
- 23:37Speaker 6: horror in the horror world. And we told them to
- 23:40Speaker 6: bring their own lingerie to our because we have a studio.
- 23:44Speaker 8: And they all looked at my things and they all
- 23:46Speaker 8: wanted ron to shear.
- 23:48Speaker 6: So we put them in our new pin up sets
- 23:51Speaker 6: which are really adorable, and that's what they're wearing on
- 23:53Speaker 6: on air along with them.
- 23:55Speaker 8: You know, it really is a really really really cute show.
- 23:57Speaker 6: And then I have to promote in case she don't
- 24:00Speaker 6: have me back on before then on Feduary the twenty seventh,
- 24:03Speaker 6: I have Dolph Zigler, who you may know him as
- 24:06Speaker 6: a famous wrestler. He's now going by his real name,
- 24:08Speaker 6: Nick Nammoth.
- 24:09Speaker 8: And we put a.
- 24:10Speaker 6: Whole boxing ring in our studio, but not in the studio,
- 24:14Speaker 6: in my bedroom which is in this.
- 24:15Speaker 8: Which we created the bedroom from the nineties.
- 24:18Speaker 6: So it is a wild show that we got a
- 24:20Speaker 6: whole boxing ring in our studio plus.
- 24:23Speaker 8: With Nick Nammoth, who is hotter than hot, but he
- 24:26Speaker 8: was my Valentine's gift.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Ronda Share has her own studio now our own
- 24:30Speaker 1: TV studio.
- 24:31Speaker 6: We do, we do, and I'm going to create a
- 24:34Speaker 6: decided just Wuthering Heights is coming out tomorrow and that's
- 24:37Speaker 6: the big, you know, hot like almost kind of foreign
- 24:41Speaker 6: version of Wuthering Heights with them.
- 24:44Speaker 8: But what's her name?
- 24:45Speaker 1: What am I always asking me?
- 24:47Speaker 6: I don't know, I know, you don't Margot Roby, Margo, Margo, Robbie, Yeah,
- 24:53Speaker 6: Robbie and Jacob Elordi. I always get hit his last name.
- 24:57Speaker 6: But anyway, it's coming out tomorrow night, so I'm excited.
- 25:00Speaker 6: That's what a lot of people doing on Valentine's Day
- 25:02Speaker 6: is going to see Wuthering Heights because you know, of
- 25:04Speaker 6: course they want to see that those hot love scenes.
- 25:06Speaker 6: But I've decided that we're going to do a version
- 25:08Speaker 6: of it on Oh I called Withering Heights all right
- 25:13Speaker 6: Now it's going to be me with some old fart
- 25:16Speaker 6: and I love that anyway.
- 25:18Speaker 1: All right, for all the men listening, husband's boyfriends, guys,
- 25:22Speaker 1: will you tell them what they should be doing for
- 25:24Speaker 1: Valentine's Day.
- 25:25Speaker 8: Write a damn note? Really, oh my gosh, you know
- 25:30Speaker 8: what do you know?
- 25:32Speaker 6: Seriously, just write a love don't even buy a Hallmark card.
- 25:36Speaker 8: Just write a note.
- 25:37Speaker 6: Don't put it on Facebook, don't don't put it on
- 25:42Speaker 6: on social media.
- 25:43Speaker 8: You don't even have to send it. Just put write
- 25:46Speaker 8: something heartfelt and put it by her bed. That would
- 25:49Speaker 8: make me so happy.
- 25:50Speaker 6: So I know, you know the flowers, I mean, they're lovely,
- 25:52Speaker 6: but they wither, and nothing is more romantic than just
- 25:57Speaker 6: a heartfelt note. God, you're romantic.
- 26:02Speaker 8: You're the first guy.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Tell me what are you supposed to write? Give me
- 26:05Speaker 1: a hand? What are you supposed to write?
- 26:07Speaker 6: Well? I mean, if you have someone that you love,
- 26:09Speaker 6: you would just write your feelings for that person, like
- 26:11Speaker 6: what like you know, like thank you for being near
- 26:15Speaker 6: me and next to me.
- 26:16Speaker 8: I miss you every day when I'm at work.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I can't wait.
- 26:20Speaker 8: Please, I want to get anyway.
- 26:24Speaker 6: I want to get you that Tiffany necklace that I
- 26:26Speaker 6: can't afford, but just know that it's in my art
- 26:29Speaker 6: if I could, or if Gucci or Louis bouton anything
- 26:32Speaker 6: you want, dear, but I love you, and I can't
- 26:34Speaker 6: wait for you, and you know, and and to smell you,
- 26:38Speaker 6: just hold you near me, smell you.
- 26:44Speaker 8: Biden would have liked value.
- 26:45Speaker 1: This is a little Joe Biden. Can't you give me
- 26:47Speaker 1: a better note to write? Let's say it's just a girlfriend.
- 26:50Speaker 1: You can't leave it by our bed. How do you
- 26:52Speaker 1: get it to it?
- 26:53Speaker 6: Yeah, you can do gall Gallentine's Day. I love Galentine's
- 26:57Speaker 6: Day with my friends. Well, then you just write you
- 26:59Speaker 6: know that you just love their friendship and you love
- 27:02Speaker 6: being with them, and you like talking behind your husband's
- 27:04Speaker 6: back and talking smack about him.
- 27:07Speaker 8: Thank god you have someone to talk to.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Yeah, tonight's a big night. It's Gallentines Day where all
- 27:11Speaker 1: the women go out there if they don't have a guy,
- 27:15Speaker 1: we do.
- 27:15Speaker 8: We do lunches, that's what it's usually.
- 27:17Speaker 6: And we give gifts and it's usually candles and little
- 27:20Speaker 6: fun things like that.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:22Speaker 6: So because you know, why would do Valentine's Day? Because
- 27:24Speaker 6: the guys forget Valentine's Day. And I know, like some
- 27:28Speaker 6: people go, it's just a hallmark reading card day.
- 27:30Speaker 7: It's not.
- 27:31Speaker 6: It's rooted in history. Don't ask me, but don't ask
- 27:34Speaker 6: me the history. But it's rooted in history, and it
- 27:37Speaker 6: is romantic. And that's why Wuthering Heights is coming out
- 27:39Speaker 6: tomorrow night. Oh it is a big dinner night.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yeah. I want you to explain something else for the
- 27:46Speaker 1: men listening. I see this all the time. On a
- 27:49Speaker 1: Friday or Saturday night, they're out in a date. There
- 27:51Speaker 1: could be a married couple, could be a single but
- 27:53Speaker 1: they're out on a date and the woman is dressed beautifully, beautiful, dress, shoes,
- 27:57Speaker 1: every I'm just beautiful. And the guys in blue jeans
- 28:00Speaker 1: and a T shirt and they like pigs.
- 28:02Speaker 8: They don't care.
- 28:03Speaker 1: They why don't they see how the woman dresses? Why
- 28:06Speaker 1: can't they dress up?
- 28:08Speaker 8: I see it all the time. I see it.
- 28:10Speaker 6: I think in New York, you got a better chance, La,
- 28:12Speaker 6: you got a better chance of the guy looking good. Miami, yes,
- 28:15Speaker 6: but anywhere else in this country. And I just got
- 28:17Speaker 6: back from Philly, Oh my gosh, what is Please dress up?
- 28:21Speaker 8: Guys.
- 28:21Speaker 6: The women do because the women want to dress up.
- 28:23Speaker 6: It's just something we like doing. We like putting on
- 28:26Speaker 6: a lot of makeup, especially if you're a Republican. We
- 28:29Speaker 6: like we like our lips flumped. We like blonde, blonde,
- 28:33Speaker 6: blonde hair, we like a lot of eye makeup. Makeup
- 28:36Speaker 6: is the largest selling product along with sex products in
- 28:39Speaker 6: the world. So I'm telling you that's it. So if
- 28:42Speaker 6: you want to sell either one of those, that's the
- 28:44Speaker 6: business you want to go.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Okay for the guy, don't chump in a T shirt.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Put a real shirt on. Put a jacket on.
- 28:51Speaker 8: They don't have jackets. They don't have jackets.
- 28:53Speaker 6: They have like, what's a bad members of only jackets
- 28:56Speaker 6: which are actually back in a little bit.
- 28:58Speaker 8: No, but I think good sports jackets. This is a
- 29:00Speaker 8: turn on me. When my husband puts on a.
- 29:03Speaker 6: Jacket, I get like googu eyes because it's like he
- 29:06Speaker 6: never wears them. So, I mean, he's not a sob.
- 29:09Speaker 6: He always wears like, you know, a button up, nice shirt.
- 29:12Speaker 6: I mean that's his daily routine. But when he puts
- 29:14Speaker 6: on that jacket, I'm like, oh my gosh, Like you
- 29:16Speaker 6: just don't know what a turn on that is to
- 29:18Speaker 6: a woman.
- 29:19Speaker 8: It really truly is.
- 29:20Speaker 6: And it doesn't have to be that expensive, all right,
- 29:22Speaker 6: He just good advice and write a little note and
- 29:25Speaker 6: even if it's put a little something near her bed
- 29:32Speaker 6: saying that you love her, you know, I love you.
- 29:34Speaker 6: Thank you for doing the dishes and cooking for me, okay,
- 29:37Speaker 6: or just being my wife or just being you know whatever.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Can you text it? Do you have to put it
- 29:42Speaker 1: near the bed?
- 29:43Speaker 8: No, you can't text it. You have to write it.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Oh, you have to handwrite this.
- 29:48Speaker 8: You have to handwrite it.
- 29:48Speaker 6: Put in And you know what what my husband does
- 29:50Speaker 6: every day and he's not here so I can talk
- 29:52Speaker 6: about it. He brings me coffee every morning. That is
- 29:55Speaker 6: the most romantic thing anybody can do. Because Mike, he
- 30:00Speaker 6: sucks anyway, So he makes a better cup than I do.
- 30:03Speaker 6: Brings it in bed, Yes, he brings because he gets
- 30:06Speaker 6: them much earlier than I do.
- 30:08Speaker 8: He brings it to me.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Get up and go get the coffee.
- 30:11Speaker 5: No being so New York.
- 30:14Speaker 1: No, it's just like breakfast in bed. Who wants crumbs
- 30:16Speaker 1: all over there?
- 30:17Speaker 6: Nexas I don't want to eat in bed. I want
- 30:19Speaker 6: my coffee and bead with my four dogs, and I
- 30:22Speaker 6: want to And he makes it perfectly with me, with
- 30:24Speaker 6: the one splendor and the half and half and the
- 30:27Speaker 6: half milk, with our new machine that costs a lot
- 30:30Speaker 6: of money.
- 30:31Speaker 8: That's a very romantic gift. By the way, is a
- 30:33Speaker 8: cappuccino maker. And you can get them. Very inexpensive.
- 30:36Speaker 1: All right, first a note, Now we got to get
- 30:38Speaker 1: a gift. You're really making a big production of this
- 30:40Speaker 1: Valentine today.
- 30:41Speaker 6: Do you know what the number one search Valentine's gift
- 30:44Speaker 6: right now on Amazon. I think it's so funny. It's

- 30:49Speaker 6: when you come home from work and it just vibrates
- 30:51Speaker 6: on your feet.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I mean, but it's not the most romantic gift, but
- 30:56Speaker 1: I like that.
- 30:58Speaker 6: It would be romantic if someone gave it to you.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Oh that's really sweet. It's better than a glass wine
- 31:02Speaker 6: that you'll you know, bottle wine that you drink, or
- 31:04Speaker 6: car that tosser massage or and a cheap cappuccino machine.
