- 0:00Speaker 1: Service is a man of God who has a very
- 0:03Speaker 1: soft spot for this state, and who of course is
- 0:06Speaker 1: here to share with us a miss it that I'm
- 0:09Speaker 1: very very sure will be factful on us.
- 0:12Speaker 2: And so, brothers and sisters.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I would please urge us to be in the bood,
- 0:17Speaker 1: to take in and receive the word of God that
- 0:20Speaker 1: will be given to us by this gentleman of God
- 0:23Speaker 1: from eternity Netswalk International. Please, men, welcome apostleshu Usselman as
- 0:30Speaker 1: it comes up here to minister to us.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Thank you very much, hallelujah, congratulations acquire in the state.
- 1:02Speaker 2: On your Toti fifth anniversary, I celebrate with you. It
- 1:07Speaker 2: will only be for you from glory to glory in
- 1:11Speaker 2: the name of Jesus Christ.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Your excellency, Governor Emanuel Udom, thank you very much for
- 1:20Speaker 4: the invite. I appreciate everyone. I stand on the existing
- 1:27Speaker 4: protocol and I asked that the Lord himself will bless
- 1:32Speaker 4: our hearts even as we listen to the word.
- 1:35Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus Christ, let us pray.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Father, we thank you for yet another opportunity to hear
- 1:44Speaker 4: you speak to us. Thank you for thirty five years
- 1:48Speaker 4: of your faithfulness in this state and Lord, I pray
- 1:53Speaker 4: that you will charge our hearts and give us wisdom
- 1:56Speaker 4: even through your word, that the moments will share to
- 1:59Speaker 4: get from the scripture will be most enlightening, and that
- 2:04Speaker 4: you will challenge us to even press further. We decree
- 2:08Speaker 4: and declare that at the end of dis sermon, Jesus
- 2:11Speaker 4: himself will be revealed and glorified. For in Jesus' name,
- 2:16Speaker 4: I pray, may I please request that you led me
- 2:21Speaker 4: your attention for the next few minutes. I believe strongly
- 2:25Speaker 4: with all my heart that what we're about to hear
- 2:29Speaker 4: will change and challenge us. I believe in the power
- 2:33Speaker 4: of the Word of God, and I believe that the
- 2:36Speaker 4: word of God makes the wisdom that comes from the
- 2:39Speaker 4: Word of God grants us the instruction and intelligence to
- 2:44Speaker 4: make constructive progress.
- 2:46Speaker 2: And so the Lord has.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Put something in my heart to share even on this occasion.
- 2:52Speaker 4: In vain, it says Father that it is vain to
- 2:56Speaker 4: wake up in the morning and to sleep late at
- 2:59Speaker 4: night only to eat the bread of sorrow.
- 3:02Speaker 2: But he gives his beloved sleep.
- 3:04Speaker 4: That means, if God does not come to help a man,
- 3:08Speaker 4: your efforts will only amount.
- 3:11Speaker 2: To futility and frustration.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Reason number one why we must look onto God, setting
- 3:17Speaker 4: our gaze upon him and relying upon his wisdom and
- 3:22Speaker 4: his ability. The second reason why the Bible encourages us
- 3:27Speaker 4: to look onto Jesus is found in Romances, chapter.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Nine and verse sixteen. Romans nine sixteen.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Here's what the Bible says, and I quote again. It says,
- 3:40Speaker 4: it is not of him that willth nor of him
- 3:44Speaker 4: that run it, but of the Lord that showed messy.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Our world is full of people who had everything in place, politically, intellectually, academically,
- 3:59Speaker 4: and so on and so forth, and within a moment,
- 4:03Speaker 4: issues happened around lives that was within or beyond their control,
- 4:07Speaker 4: and ended their lives, ended their relevance overnight. It is
- 4:12Speaker 4: pride for any man to believe he can be self
- 4:15Speaker 4: sufficient outside of.
- 4:17Speaker 2: The messy and the assistance of the God of heaven.
- 4:20Speaker 2: If we're together, say amen.
- 4:23Speaker 4: So it is not of him that will let nor
- 4:26Speaker 4: of him that run it, but it is of the
- 4:29Speaker 4: Lord that showed messy. A very interesting story comes to
- 4:32Speaker 4: mind in Second Kings, chapter five. From these six and seven,
- 4:37Speaker 4: the Bible talks about a man called Naman.
- 4:41Speaker 2: He said he was a valiant man.
- 4:43Speaker 4: He was a captain of the Syrian army, but he
- 4:46Speaker 4: had a deformity. He was lepros and then one time,
- 4:50Speaker 4: by the admonition of the little slave girl that served
- 4:55Speaker 4: his wife, she beckoned on him to meet a prophet.
- 4:58Speaker 2: In Israel who would be able to cure him of
- 5:00Speaker 2: his leprosy.
- 5:02Speaker 4: And on hearing that, the King of Syria, the Bible records,
- 5:06Speaker 4: wrote a letter to the King of Israel. He said,
- 5:09Speaker 4: be sure to heal this man for me. I want
- 5:12Speaker 4: to read verse six and seven. When the King of
- 5:15Speaker 4: Israel received that letter, he made a very instructive statement.
- 5:19Speaker 4: He said, ah, my God, that I have the ability
- 5:22Speaker 4: to heal this man on my own.
- 5:24Speaker 2: And he said, this king is only looking for trouble.
- 5:27Speaker 4: When I read that scripture, it blessed me because the
- 5:30Speaker 4: man was a king, and you know that kings are
- 5:33Speaker 4: people of authority.
- 5:34Speaker 2: And statue and influence.
- 5:36Speaker 4: And yet this man had the honor shamemedness to admit
- 5:40Speaker 4: that this kind of result only resides within the power
- 5:44Speaker 4: of God. It is my prayer that the higher we rise,
- 5:49Speaker 4: the more we acknowledge that no matter how great we are,
- 5:53Speaker 4: we are still limited. It will only take God and
- 5:56Speaker 4: his power and his wisdom to become the complete of
- 6:00Speaker 4: our lives. If you're still with me, say amen, why
- 6:05Speaker 4: do we need to look on to Jesus? As the
- 6:07Speaker 4: Bible man dates Psalm sixty two and verse eleven.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Here's what the Bible says.
- 6:13Speaker 4: I have spoken once and twice. Have you heard that
- 6:18Speaker 4: power belongs to God? Can we say that acquieblem one
- 6:23Speaker 4: to go? Power belongs to God? Said one more time? Please,
- 6:28Speaker 4: power belongs to God. I have spoken once and twice.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Have you heard that power?
- 6:38Speaker 4: If any man rises, it is because God lifted him.
- 6:43Speaker 4: If any man excels, it is because God granted.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Him the grace.
- 6:48Speaker 4: The Bible speaks about a man called Usiah in Second Chronicles,
- 6:52Speaker 4: chapter twenty six. When you read from verse five, the
- 6:56Speaker 4: Bible says, for us long as he sought the.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Lord, said, the Lord made him to prosper.
- 7:03Speaker 4: For as long as he sought the Lord, the Lord
- 7:06Speaker 4: made him to prosper. Verse fifteen of that same scripture
- 7:10Speaker 4: said he became great and mighty because he was marvelously
- 7:15Speaker 4: helped of the Lord.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Power belongs to God.
- 7:24Speaker 3: In p.
- 7:24Speaker 4: One thirteen some one one three the long reading, just
- 7:28Speaker 4: write for reference verse one to nine Some one one
- 7:32Speaker 4: three verse one to nine.
- 7:34Speaker 2: The Bible there says that God.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Raises the poor from the dunghill and places him above
- 7:41Speaker 4: in a place of honor and nobility. So this God,
- 7:45Speaker 4: Jesus Christ, that the Bible mandates that.
- 7:48Speaker 2: We look upon, is a lifter.
- 7:50Speaker 4: He can lift men from any background, regardless the conclusion
- 7:55Speaker 4: of men. This is one profound quality about the God
- 7:59Speaker 4: that we serve. He is not only a great god,
- 8:02Speaker 4: it is within his power to enthrone and even detron.
- 8:11Speaker 4: In Psalm eighteen and verse twenty nine, I hope you
- 8:14Speaker 4: love Scriptures Some eighteen and verse twenty nine, it says,
- 8:21Speaker 4: by you, I can run through a troop, and by
- 8:25Speaker 4: My God I can leap over a war. Profound statement.
- 8:31Speaker 4: By you, I can run through a troop. It is
- 8:35Speaker 4: not given to a man to run through a troop.
- 8:38Speaker 4: A troop there represents a resistance.
- 8:41Speaker 2: But by you I can run through a troop.
- 8:44Speaker 4: It says, by my God, I can leap over a wall.
- 8:48Speaker 4: May that be your testimony in the name of Jesus Christ.
- 8:56Speaker 4: In Exodus chapter fifteen, Exodus chapter fifteen, from verse eleven
- 9:02Speaker 4: to nineteen, it is.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Called the song of Miriam.
- 9:07Speaker 4: This was after the nation of Israel crossed through the
- 9:12Speaker 4: Red Sea on dry land. Miriam was so touched by
- 9:16Speaker 4: that experience, and she penned down a few things, and
- 9:23Speaker 4: she said, who is like onto you? And she began
- 9:26Speaker 4: to describe the grace and the majesty of God. It says,
- 9:29Speaker 4: I will sing onto the Lord, for he has triumphed
- 9:32Speaker 4: gloriously that the horses and his rider has been thrown.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Into the sea.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Only the God of Heaven is able to patch the
- 9:41Speaker 4: sea and grand men access on dry land.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Why does the Bible mandate that we look onto Jesus?
- 9:51Speaker 2: Are we still together?
- 9:53Speaker 4: In Second Corinthians, chapter three and verse eighteen, Paul was
- 9:58Speaker 4: admonishing the church in Korin, and this is what he
- 10:01Speaker 4: had to say.
- 10:02Speaker 2: He said, as we behold him, he.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Says, and we with unveiled face beholding him as in
- 10:09Speaker 4: a mirror, he says, we are changed when we look
- 10:13Speaker 4: onto him and behold him.
- 10:15Speaker 2: We are changed.
- 10:16Speaker 4: From a version that represents shame and reproach to a
- 10:20Speaker 4: version that represents dignity and honor. When we look onto
- 10:24Speaker 4: Jesus will never remain in shame. Now, please listen very carefully.
- 10:28Speaker 4: This is a message for the people of a quaibum.
- 10:32Speaker 4: But then it extends to us many who are listening
- 10:35Speaker 4: and following. I can't guarantee you, by the integrity of
- 10:39Speaker 4: God's word that nobody looks onto Jesus sincerely and wholeheartedly.
- 10:45Speaker 2: And remains in shame. Ah.
- 10:50Speaker 4: He may take time, but the God of Heaven, who
- 10:53Speaker 4: is a lifter and a blesser, will.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Always turn your night today.
- 10:57Speaker 4: May that be your portion in the name of Jesus Christ.
- 11:05Speaker 4: So as we behold him, we are changed. When a
- 11:09Speaker 4: poor man beholds him, he is changed. When a sick
- 11:12Speaker 4: man beholds him, he is changed. When a mediocre and
- 11:16Speaker 4: a weak man beholds him, he is changed. And the
- 11:18Speaker 4: Bible says, we are changed into the very image that
- 11:22Speaker 4: we are looking upon. Why does the Bible man date
- 11:28Speaker 4: that we look onto Jesus.
- 11:34Speaker 2: The Bible calls.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Him the author and the.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Finisher of our faith. Now listen, this is very powerful.
- 11:44Speaker 4: The author means the one who originates and starts. The
- 11:48Speaker 4: finisher is one who supervises its safe conclusion. The Bible
- 11:53Speaker 4: says Jesus Christ is author and finisher. That be true
- 12:00Speaker 4: for an individual, That can be true for a family,
- 12:04Speaker 4: That can be true for a career person. That can
- 12:07Speaker 4: be true for a stake, that can be true for
- 12:09Speaker 4: a nation. Now listen, there are many people who allow
- 12:14Speaker 4: Jesus Christ to be author of their lives, but.
- 12:18Speaker 2: They never work with him to be finisher.
- 12:21Speaker 4: There are others who never allow him to be author,
- 12:24Speaker 4: but eventually they discover their mistakes.
- 12:28Speaker 2: And they allow him to be finisher.
- 12:30Speaker 4: My charge is that it is best for an individual
- 12:33Speaker 4: to allow the God of the Bible, even Jesus, to
- 12:37Speaker 4: be author and finisher. The author of your life, the
- 12:41Speaker 4: finish of your destiny, the author of acquaibum, the finisher
- 12:46Speaker 4: of your destiny, the author of every political career, educational career,
- 12:52Speaker 4: family career, and the finisher of the same. This is
- 12:56Speaker 4: what the Bible mandates in Second Timothy con.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Timothy one and verse twelve. Secon.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Timothy one and Verse twelve. Here's what Paul says, speaking
- 13:07Speaker 4: to his son Timothy. He says, but I know whom
- 13:10Speaker 4: I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is
- 13:17Speaker 4: able to keep that which is committed onto him.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Please look up. God has the power.
- 13:24Speaker 4: To protect, to preserve, and to keep, but he only
- 13:30Speaker 4: keeps what it is committed onto him. He does not
- 13:33Speaker 4: keep what is available. He does not keep what you
- 13:36Speaker 4: want to be protected. He only keeps what is committed
- 13:40Speaker 4: onto him against that day, hallelujah. God is able to keep.
- 13:48Speaker 4: God is able to protect. He's able to keep a
- 13:51Speaker 4: man's legacy. He's able to keep a man's influence. He's
- 13:55Speaker 4: able to keep a man's relevance. He's able to give
- 13:58Speaker 4: you longevity, provide that.
- 14:01Speaker 2: You commit onto him.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Committing onto God demands humility on your own part, that
- 14:09Speaker 4: you realize and acknowledge that honor assisted. I am limited
- 14:13Speaker 4: and sincerely, without any any playing with words, I want
- 14:20Speaker 4: to sincerely, at this juncture honor his excellency for his
- 14:24Speaker 4: outspoken dependence on the God of Heaven. Even in governance,
- 14:29Speaker 4: it is worthy of commendation, even in a state like this,
- 14:33Speaker 4: I think we should give him a good God bless
- 14:35Speaker 4: you for that. Allelujah. Now listen, you know that I
- 14:40Speaker 4: am not a politician. I don't do politics.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I am a man of God, a communicator of truth
- 14:46Speaker 2: and righteousness.
- 14:47Speaker 4: And as far as my eyes can see, if it
- 14:49Speaker 4: is worthy of commendation, I will command with honor.
- 14:53Speaker 2: If it is worthy of rebuke, I will rebuke in love.
- 14:56Speaker 4: This is my assignment as a man of God, so
- 14:58Speaker 4: that which is worthy of common even his excellency, is
- 15:02Speaker 4: submission to the governing authority of Christ, to draw wisdom,
- 15:07Speaker 4: to draw intelligence. I say it again that it is
- 15:10Speaker 4: worthy of commendation. Allelujah. Let me try to conclude. Governments
- 15:22Speaker 4: will come and go. Leaders will come and go, businessmen
- 15:33Speaker 4: will come and go, kings will come and go, Investors
- 15:41Speaker 4: will come and go, politicians will come and go. Every
- 15:49Speaker 4: one of us here, including the preacher, will come and go.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Please hear me while you rejoice. I hope you are
- 15:57Speaker 4: listening to me. Everyone will come and go. The awareness
- 16:04Speaker 4: of the transitory nature of man should give us a
- 16:09Speaker 4: level of wisdom and intelligence. It says all teach us
- 16:12Speaker 4: to number our days, that we may apply our hearts
- 16:17Speaker 4: onto wisdom. That means there is a level of wisdom
- 16:20Speaker 4: and intelligence that comes into the heart of a man
- 16:23Speaker 4: when you take a cognizance to the fact that no
- 16:28Speaker 4: matter how long I stay, whether in politics, whether in business,
- 16:33Speaker 4: even as royalty, it is given onto men to only
- 16:38Speaker 4: be within.
- 16:38Speaker 2: The space of their relevance for a season. The law
- 16:42Speaker 2: of seasons is a law that comes upon all men.
- 16:46Speaker 2: What does that mean? It means then, that to live an.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Impactful life, you must be governed by three things. This
- 16:55Speaker 4: is my charge, respectfully speaking to his excellency as he
- 16:59Speaker 4: approaches the fastal days of his tenure as.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Governor of Acquirbom State.
- 17:05Speaker 4: This is also a change that extends to every politician,
- 17:08Speaker 4: every business man, every man of God, and indeed every
- 17:13Speaker 4: wonderful son and daughter of the soil. To live a
- 17:17Speaker 4: very meaningful life, you must be governed by three factors.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Number one, the fear of the Lord.
- 17:25Speaker 4: The basis for an excelling life is the fear of
- 17:28Speaker 4: the Lord.
- 17:29Speaker 2: The Bible clearly says that the fear of the Lord
- 17:31Speaker 2: is the beginning of wisdom.
- 17:33Speaker 4: That when an individual coordinates his life making reference to
- 17:38Speaker 4: his fear for God, the word hear their means reverence.
- 17:43Speaker 4: It is important that we live our lives to honor God,
- 17:48Speaker 4: knowing that one day we will stand before God. Number two,
- 17:52Speaker 4: you must be guided by conscience.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Conscience.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Number three, you must be guided by a sense of
- 18:01Speaker 4: posterity and legacy. Back in the seminary, we used to
- 18:06Speaker 4: sing a song that says, thus will we pass from
- 18:09Speaker 4: the earth and it's toilet? It says only remembered by
- 18:14Speaker 4: what we have done. We are not the first to
- 18:17Speaker 4: be in disposition, any position you choose at.
- 18:20Speaker 2: All, and we will not be the last.
- 18:22Speaker 4: In the state, leaders will come and go. In this state,
- 18:27Speaker 4: business people.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Will come and go.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Like I said earlier, in the nation, leaders will come
- 18:32Speaker 4: and go.
- 18:33Speaker 2: My charge with all.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Every sense of respect and honor to the leaders, the
- 18:39Speaker 4: excellencies here present, the men the women of God. The
- 18:43Speaker 4: businessman's take hold as captains of industry is that we
- 18:47Speaker 4: must make up our minds that we will leave a
- 18:51Speaker 4: legacy that is worth it if and when we are
- 18:55Speaker 4: no longer here.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
- 19:00Speaker 4: I made up my mind as a man of God
- 19:03Speaker 4: that I would live my life serving the purposes of
- 19:06Speaker 4: God with sincerity and truth, making my own contributions as
- 19:11Speaker 4: far as the revelation of Jesus is concerned, and helping
- 19:16Speaker 4: to contribute the quota that I can make in nation building,
- 19:19Speaker 4: without any sense of prejudice or bias, with a sense
- 19:24Speaker 4: of conscience and the fear of the Lord.
- 19:26Speaker 2: This has been my creed and it remains so.
- 19:29Speaker 4: I count it an honor to be here to celebrate
- 19:32Speaker 4: with a quai bomb on this thirty fifth anniversary, and
- 19:36Speaker 4: it is my prayer and prophetic declaration that by seventy
- 19:40Speaker 4: will still be here to celebrate in the name of
- 19:46Speaker 4: Jesus Christ. We're going to do two things with the
- 19:50Speaker 4: time I have left before I resort back to my seat,
- 19:55Speaker 4: and please, I want you to lend me your attention
- 19:57Speaker 4: one more time. I am a man of God and
- 20:00Speaker 4: a preacher. That means I believe in Jesus.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Christ and his entire plan, and every.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Opportunity that God provides for me to share with God's people,
- 20:10Speaker 4: it is always an opportunity to not only reveal Jesus,
- 20:14Speaker 4: but to connect someone back to Jesus, who is the
- 20:17Speaker 4: God of the Bible. The Bible already told us to
- 20:20Speaker 4: look onto Jesus. He calls him the author and the
- 20:23Speaker 4: finisher of our faith. The Bible also says that God
- 20:27Speaker 4: will only keep that which is committed onto him.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I believe with all.
- 20:32Speaker 4: My heart that standing and sitting here among the thousands
- 20:36Speaker 4: of people and the thousands watching by way of television
- 20:41Speaker 4: or the Internet, I believe there's someone in this place
- 20:45Speaker 4: who is say an apostle. On hearing you teach, I
- 20:50Speaker 4: confess that I do not know Jesus. This Jesus, you
- 20:54Speaker 4: are talking about I have heard about him from preachers.
- 20:59Speaker 4: I have heard about him from my governor. I have
- 21:01Speaker 4: heard about him from visionary leaders. I've heard about him
- 21:06Speaker 4: maybe by way of television or internet. But I have
- 21:09Speaker 4: not made a personal decision for Jesus. May I please
- 21:13Speaker 4: request that you give me a two minutes allowance to
- 21:18Speaker 4: make this call.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Even if it is one person who would come to Jesus.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Tonight and this day, I believe it will be an
- 21:28Speaker 4: honor and a completion of a faithful assignment done. I
- 21:32Speaker 4: do not want to just come and let my voice
- 21:35Speaker 4: with the beautiful people of acquir Bomb and even his
- 21:38Speaker 4: excellency to celebrate the mighty hand of God over this state,
- 21:43Speaker 4: which is a noble task. But I want to give
- 21:47Speaker 4: an opportunity for someone, and please hear me in making
- 21:51Speaker 4: this call. It does not matter if you are a politician.
- 21:55Speaker 4: It does not matter if you're a business person.
- 21:58Speaker 2: It does not matter if you are a captain of industry.
- 22:00Speaker 4: One day we are going to stand before this Jesus.
- 22:04Speaker 4: The Bible clearly says that this same Jesus will return,
- 22:08Speaker 4: even as we have seen him at send. He is
- 22:11Speaker 4: the reason why we are celebrating thirty five years, but
- 22:14Speaker 4: I want you to know that one day this life
- 22:16Speaker 4: will be over with all its activities. Scattered across are
- 22:20Speaker 4: people who are being convicted of the Holy Spirit. And
- 22:24Speaker 4: I'm going to make an altar call right now. I'm
- 22:27Speaker 4: going to be counting one to five, and I want
- 22:30Speaker 4: to challenge someone on this thirty fifth anniversary. This is
- 22:35Speaker 4: about the greatest gift we can give his Majesty to
