  I'm

• 2:25
  Now
• 2:25
  here's
• 2:25
  the
• 2:25
  cool
• 2:26
  thing
• 2:26
  here,
• 2:27
  guys.
• 2:27
  I
• 2:27
  was
• 2:28
  at
• 2:28
  this
• 2:28
  factory
• 2:30
  probably
• 2:31
  15
• 2:31
  to
• 2:31
  18
• 2:32
  years
• 2:32
  ago
• 2:32
  checking
• 2:33
  it
• 2:33
  out
• 2:33
  when
• 2:34
  I
• 2:34
  was
• 2:34
  out
• 2:35
  in
• 2:35
  the
• 2:35
  Midwest.
• 2:36
  And
• 2:36
  I'm
• 2:36
  looking
• 2:37
  forward
• 2:37
  to
• 2:37
  this
• 2:37
  conversation.
• 2:38
  Elvin,
• 2:39
  welcome
• 2:39
  to
• 2:40
  around
• 2:40
  the
• 2:40
  house
• 2:40
  brother.
• 2:42
  Thank
• 2:42
  you.
• 2:43
  Thank
• 2:43
  you.
• 2:44
  Nice
• 2:44
  to
• 2:44
  meet
• 2:44
  you.
• 2:45
  Nice
• 2:45
  to
• 2:46
  meet
• 2:46
  you.
• 2:46
  And
• 2:47
  kitchen
• 2:47
  cabinetry
• 2:48
  is
• 2:48
  one
• 2:48
  of
• 2:49
  those
• 2:49
  things
• 2:49
  out
• 2:49
  there
• 2:50
  and
• 2:50
  it's,
• 2:51
  it's
• 2:51
  something
• 2:51
  that
• 2:51
  I
• 2:52
  have
• 2:52
  really
• 2:53
  spent
• 2:53
  most
• 2:53
  of
• 2:54
  my
• 2:54
  career
• 2:54
  messing
• 2:54
  around
• 2:55
  with.
• 2:55
  But
• 2:56
  one
• 2:56
  of
• 2:56
  the
• 2:57
  biggest
• 2:57
  issues
• 2:57
  that
• 2:57
  I
• 2:58
  see
• 2:58
  out
• 2:58
  there
• 2:58
  is
• 2:58
  we
• 2:59
  kind
• 2:59
  of
• 2:59
  have
• 2:59
  two
• 2:59
  things.
• 3:00
  We
• 3:01
  have
• 3:01
  these
• 3:01
  great
• 3:01
  manufacturers
• 3:02
  like
• 3:02
  yourself
• 3:03
  that
• 3:04
  sell
• 3:04
  stuff
• 3:04
  across
• 3:05
  the
• 3:05
  country.
• 3:06
  But
• 3:07
  you
• 3:07
  guys
• 3:07
  do
• 3:07
  such
• 3:08
  a
• 3:08
  great
• 3:09
  job
• 3:10
  from
• 3:10
  cabinet
• 3:11
  construction,
• 3:12
  cabinet
• 3:13
  finishes
• 3:14
  that
• 3:15
  really
• 3:15
  exceed
• 3:16
  what
• 3:16
  even
• 3:17
  some
• 3:17
  of
• 3:17
  the
• 3:17
  higher
• 3:18
  end
• 3:18
  custom
• 3:19
  shops
• 3:19
  do
• 3:19
  in
• 3:19
  their
• 3:19
  little
• 3:20
  shops.
• 3:20
  And
• 3:21
  I
• 3:21
  wanted
• 3:21
  to
• 3:21
  talk
• 3:21
  cabinetry
• 3:22
  with
• 3:22
  you
• 3:22
  today.
• 3:22
  And
• 3:23
  how
• 3:23
  did
• 3:23
  you
• 3:24
  guys
• 3:24
  get
• 3:24
  started
• 3:25
  with
• 3:25
  Country
• 3:26
  Craft?
• 3:28
  How
• 3:29
  did
• 3:29
  we
• 3:29
  get
• 3:29
  started?
• 3:30
  Well,
• 3:31
  my
• 3:31
  background
• 3:31
  is
• 3:32
  aquaculture.
• 3:33
  I
• 3:33
  was
• 3:33
  a
• 3:33
  farmer
• 3:34
  for
• 3:34
  the
• 3:34
  first
• 3:35
  20
• 3:35
  years
• 3:35
  of
• 3:35
  my
• 3:35
  life.
• 3:36
  Grew
• 3:36
  up
• 3:36
  on
• 3:36
  a
• 3:37
  farm,
• 3:37
  the
• 3:37
  family
• 3:37
  farm,
• 3:38
  which
• 3:38
  is
• 3:39
  where
• 3:39
  country
• 3:39
  craft
• 3:40
  is
• 3:40
  today.
• 3:40
  It's
• 3:40
  on
• 3:41
  the
• 3:41
  whole
• 3:41
  farm.
• 3:43
  So
• 3:44
  being
• 3:45
  a
• 3:45
  farmer,
• 3:46
  I
• 3:46
  got
• 3:47
  a
• 3:48
  lot
• 3:48
  of
• 3:48
  education
• 3:48
  in
• 3:49
  all
• 3:49
  kinds
• 3:49
  of
• 3:51
  challenges
• 3:51
  to
• 3:53
  build
• 3:53
  things
• 3:54
  and
• 3:55
  fix
• 3:56
  things
• 3:56
  and
• 3:56
  learn
• 3:57
  how
• 3:57
  to
• 3:57
  work.
• 3:57
  And
• 3:59
  on
• 3:59
  the
• 3:59
  farm,
• 4:00
  my
• 4:00
  dad,
• 4:01
  whatever
• 4:01
  had
• 4:01
  to
• 4:01
  be
• 4:02
  done,
• 4:02
  we
• 4:02
  did.
• 4:02
  We
• 4:03
  did
• 4:03
  our
• 4:03
  own
• 4:03
  carpenter
• 4:04
  work,
• 4:04
  our
• 4:04
  own
• 4:04
  mechanical
• 4:05
  work.
• 4:05
  And
• 4:06
  so
• 4:07
  I
• 4:07
  always
• 4:07
  enjoy
• 4:07
  woodwork.
• 4:09
  So
• 4:10
  in
• 4:10
  1958,
• 4:12
  Helen
• 4:13
  bought
• 4:13
  me
• 4:13
  a
• 4:14
  Sears
• 4:15
  and
• 4:15
  Roebuck
• 4:15
  table
• 4:16
  saw.
• 4:16
  Maybe
• 4:16
  you're
• 4:17
  seeing
• 4:17
  that
• 4:17
  when
• 4:17
  you
• 4:17
  were
• 4:17
  here
• 4:17
  to
• 4:18
  visit.
• 4:18
  Yep.
• 4:19
  And
• 4:20
  that's.
• 4:20
  She
• 4:20
  got
• 4:21
  me
• 4:21
  that
• 4:21
  for
• 4:21
  Christmas
• 4:22
  in
• 4:22
  1958.
• 4:23
  Wow.
• 4:25
  And
• 4:26
  I
• 4:27
  started.
• 4:27
  I've
• 4:28
  been
• 4:28
  working
• 4:28
  for
• 4:28
  a
• 4:29
  small
• 4:29
  kitchen
• 4:30
  company,
• 4:31
  Rich
• 4:32
  Made
• 4:32
  kitchens
• 4:33
  here
• 4:34
  local.
• 4:35
  I
• 4:35
  was
• 4:35
  working
• 4:36
  there
• 4:36
  as
• 4:36
  an
• 4:36
  installer
• 4:38
  and
• 4:40
  Hamilton
• 4:40
  bought
• 4:40
  me
• 4:41
  this
• 4:41
  table
• 4:41
  saw
• 4:41
  in
• 4:42
  58.
• 4:43
  And
• 4:46
  in
• 4:46
  the
• 4:46
  spring
• 4:46
  of
• 4:47
  59,
• 4:48
  the
• 4:48
  owner
• 4:49
  of
• 4:49
  Richmond
• 4:50
  called
• 4:50
  me
• 4:50
  in
• 4:50
  his
• 4:51
  office,
• 4:51
  said,
• 4:51
  elvin,
• 4:52
  I
• 4:52
  understand
• 4:52
  you
• 4:53
  have
• 4:53
  a
• 4:53
  saw
• 4:53
  at
• 4:53
  home
• 4:54
  and
• 4:54
  you're
• 4:55
  making
• 4:55
  some
• 4:55
  cabinets
• 4:56
  at
• 4:56
  home.
• 4:57
  I
• 4:57
  said
• 4:57
  well
• 4:58
  I'm
• 4:58
  making
• 4:58
  some
• 4:58
  hobby,
• 4:59
  I'm
• 4:59
  doing
• 4:59
  some
• 5:00
  crafts,
• 5:01
  small
• 5:02
  bookshelves
• 5:03
  and
• 5:04
  just
• 5:05
  small
• 5:05
  things.
• 5:06
  Well,
• 5:07
  he
• 5:07
  said,
• 5:07
  it's
• 5:07
  our
• 5:08
  policy.
• 5:08
  If
• 5:08
  you
• 5:08
  work
• 5:09
  here,
• 5:09
  you
• 5:10
  can't
• 5:10
  be
• 5:10
  doing
• 5:11
  wood,
• 5:11
  you
• 5:11
  can't
• 5:11
  make
• 5:12
  cabinets
• 5:12
  at
• 5:12
  home.
• 5:13
  That
• 5:13
  would
• 5:13
  be
• 5:13
  a
• 5:13
  conflict
• 5:14
  of
• 5:14
  interest.
• 5:16
  So
• 5:16
  I
• 5:16
  called,
• 5:17
  I'm
• 5:17
  sorry,
• 5:17
  if
• 5:18
  that's
• 5:18
  your
• 5:18
  policy,
• 5:18
  I'm
• 5:19
  going
• 5:19
  to
• 5:19
  have
• 5:19
  to
• 5:19
  quit.
• 5:20
  So
• 5:20
  I
• 5:20
  came
• 5:21
  home
• 5:21
  and
• 5:21
  told
• 5:21
  my
• 5:21
  wife,
• 5:22
  I
• 5:22
  said,
• 5:22
  well,
• 5:23
  I'm
• 5:23
  going
• 5:23
  to
• 5:24
  make
• 5:24
  good
• 5:24
  use
• 5:24
  of
• 5:24
  that
• 5:24
  saw
• 5:25
  you
• 5:25
  bought
• 5:25
  me.
• 5:26
  We're
• 5:26
  going
• 5:26
  to
• 5:26
  start
• 5:26
  our
• 5:27
  own
• 5:27
  kitchen
• 5:27
  business
• 5:27
  right
• 5:28
  here
• 5:28
  in
• 5:28
  the
• 5:28
  garage.
• 5:30
  So
• 5:30
  dad
• 5:30
  had
• 5:30
  a
• 5:30
  garage
• 5:31
  here
• 5:31
  on
• 5:31
  the
• 5:31
  farm,
• 5:32
  four
• 5:32
  car
• 5:32
  garage.
• 5:33
  And
• 5:34
  my
• 5:34
  dad
• 5:35
  was
• 5:35
  elect
• 5:35
  electrical
• 5:36
  contractor
• 5:37
  and
• 5:37
  he
• 5:37
  had
• 5:38
  some
• 5:38
  builders
• 5:38
  he
• 5:38
  was
• 5:39
  working
• 5:39
  for.
• 5:40
  So
• 5:41
  I
• 5:41
  said,
• 5:41
  dad,
• 5:41
  why
• 5:42
  don't
• 5:42
  you
• 5:42
  check
• 5:42
  with
• 5:42
  your
• 5:43
  builders
• 5:43
  if
• 5:43
  they'd
• 5:44
  be
• 5:44
  interested
• 5:44
  in
• 5:45
  me
• 5:45
  making
• 5:46
  their
• 5:46
  cabinets.
• 5:47
  So
• 5:47
  he
• 5:48
  sold
• 5:48
  my
• 5:48
  first
• 5:48
  three
• 5:49
  kitchens
• 5:49
  to
• 5:49
  local
• 5:50
  contractors.
• 5:52
  So
• 5:52
  it
• 5:52
  was
• 5:52
  an
• 5:52
  interesting
• 5:53
  journey.
• 5:54
  No
• 5:54
  kidding.
• 5:56
  That
• 5:56
  is
• 5:56
  super
• 5:57
  cool.
• 5:58
  And
• 5:58
  you
• 5:58
  know,
• 5:58
  you
• 5:59
  guys,
• 5:59
  you
• 6:00
  know,
• 6:00
  farming
• 6:00
  in
• 6:00
  your,
• 6:01
  your
• 6:01
  part
• 6:01
  of
• 6:01
  the
• 6:02
  country
• 6:02
  is
• 6:02
  such
• 6:03
  a
• 6:04
  big
• 6:04
  thing.
• 6:05
  And
• 6:05
  it
• 6:05
  was
• 6:05
  so
• 6:06
  beautiful
• 6:06
  when
• 6:06
  I
• 6:06
  was
• 6:07
  out
• 6:07
  there
• 6:07
  to
• 6:07
  see
• 6:08
  how
• 6:09
  you've
• 6:10
  got
• 6:10
  people
• 6:10
  out
• 6:11
  there
• 6:11
  literally
• 6:12
  working
• 6:13
  the
• 6:13
  land
• 6:13
  with
• 6:13
  their
• 6:14
  hands
• 6:15
  and
• 6:15
  then
• 6:15
  the
• 6:15
  middle
• 6:16
  of
• 6:16
  it
• 6:16
  is
• 6:16
  this
• 6:17
  high
• 6:17
  tech
• 6:17
  cabinet
• 6:17
  shop.
• 6:18
  Yeah,
• 6:19
  right
• 6:20
  on
• 6:20
  the
• 6:20
  farm.
• 6:22
  And
• 6:22
  I've
• 6:22
  been
• 6:22
  blessed
• 6:23
  with
• 6:23
  many
• 6:24
  good
• 6:24
  employees
• 6:25
  over
• 6:25
  the
• 6:25
  years
• 6:25
  that
• 6:27
  joined
• 6:27
  my
• 6:27
  team
• 6:28
  and
• 6:28
  they
• 6:29
  do
• 6:29
  an
• 6:29
  excellent
• 6:30
  job
• 6:30
  making
• 6:30
  beautiful
• 6:31
  cabinets.
• 6:32
  And
• 6:33
  first
• 6:34
  of
• 6:34
  all,
• 6:34
  my
• 6:34
  education
• 6:35
  was
• 6:35
  from
• 6:36
  my
• 6:36
  parents
• 6:36
  on
• 6:36
  the
• 6:36
  farm
• 6:37
  and
• 6:37
  I
• 6:37
  was
• 6:38
  blessed
• 6:38
  with
• 6:39
  good,
• 6:40
  good
• 6:40
  teaching.
• 6:41
  I'm
• 6:41
  blessed
• 6:42
  by
• 6:42
  God.
• 6:43
  It's
• 6:43
  all
• 6:43
  a
• 6:43
  blessing.
• 6:44
  It's
• 6:44
  all
• 6:44
  a
• 6:44
  gift
• 6:44
  from
• 6:45
  God.
• 6:45
  Everything
• 6:45
  I
• 6:46
  have.
• 6:47
  And
• 6:47
  you
• 6:47
  guys
• 6:48
  make
• 6:48
  some
• 6:48
  beautiful
• 6:48
  cabinetry
• 6:49
  there.
• 6:50
  It's
• 6:50
  so
• 6:50
  amazing
• 6:50
  to
• 6:50
  hear
• 6:51
  coming
• 6:51
  from
• 6:52
  that
• 6:52
  Sears
• 6:52
  and
• 6:52
  Roebuck
• 6:53
  table
• 6:53
  saw
• 6:53
  to
• 6:54
  where
• 6:54
  you're
• 6:54
  at
• 6:54
  today
• 6:54
  with
• 6:55
  all
• 6:56
  the
• 6:56
  latest
• 6:56
  technology
• 6:57
  that
• 6:57
  helps
• 6:58
  make
• 6:58
  beautiful
• 6:58
  cabinetry.
• 6:59
  I
• 6:59
  mean,
• 6:59
  think
• 7:00
  about
• 7:00
  that
• 7:00
  jump
• 7:00
  from
• 7:01
  1958
• 7:01
  to
• 7:01
  what
• 7:02
  we
• 7:02
  see
• 7:02
  now
• 7:02
  in
• 7:02
  a
• 7:02
  shop.
• 7:03
  Oh,
• 7:04
  I
• 7:04
  know
• 7:04
  Junior,
• 7:05
  Alvin
• 7:05
  Jr.
• 7:06
  Which
• 7:06
  is
• 7:06
  the
• 7:07
  president
• 7:08
  of
• 7:08
  our
• 7:08
  company.
• 7:09
  He
• 7:11
  keeps
• 7:11
  up
• 7:11
  all
• 7:11
  the
• 7:12
  latest
• 7:12
  equipment.
• 7:12
  He
• 7:13
  has
• 7:13
  all
• 7:13
  the
• 7:13
  computerized
• 7:14
  saw
• 7:15
  and
• 7:16
  CNC
• 7:16
  routers
• 7:17
  and
• 7:18
  break.
• 7:19
  Very
• 7:20
  good
• 7:20
  equipment,
• 7:21
  Very
• 7:22
  good
• 7:22
  employees.
• 7:23
  Good,
• 7:23
  good
• 7:24
  craftsmans
• 7:25
  that
• 7:25
  take
• 7:25
  pride
• 7:25
  in
• 7:26
  what
• 7:26
  they're
• 7:26
  doing.
• 7:26
  So
• 7:28
  we've
• 7:28
  been
• 7:29
  blessed.
• 7:29
  Yep.
• 7:30
  You
• 7:30
  guys
• 7:30
  do
• 7:30
  a
• 7:30
  lot
• 7:30
  of
• 7:31
  great
• 7:31
  stuff
• 7:31
  with
• 7:31
  that.
• 7:32
  And
• 7:32
  what
• 7:33
  I
• 7:33
  thought
• 7:33
  was
• 7:33
  cool,
• 7:33
  too,
• 7:34
  was.
• 7:34
  Was
• 7:34
  just
• 7:35
  seeing
• 7:35
  the
• 7:35
  mix
• 7:36
  of
• 7:36
  people
• 7:36
  that
• 7:36
  you
• 7:37
  have
• 7:37
  working
• 7:37
  in
• 7:38
  your
• 7:38
  shop.
• 7:38
  And
• 7:39
  I
• 7:39
  know
• 7:39
  that
• 7:40
  your
• 7:40
  son
• 7:41
  has
• 7:41
  been
• 7:41
  a
• 7:41
  pride
• 7:42
  and
• 7:42
  joy,
• 7:42
  but
• 7:43
  it
• 7:43
  is
• 7:44
  so
• 7:44
  cool
• 7:44
  to
• 7:44
  see
• 7:45
  all
• 7:45
  the
• 7:45
  different
• 7:45
  employees
• 7:46
  that
• 7:46
  you
• 7:46
  have
• 7:46
  working
• 7:47
  there.
• 7:48
  Yeah,
• 7:48
  I've
• 7:48
  been
• 7:49
  blessed
• 7:49
  with
• 7:49
  a
• 7:49
  lot
• 7:49
  of
• 7:50
  good
• 7:50
  employees.
• 7:50
  And
• 7:51
  first
• 7:51
  of
• 7:51
  all,
• 7:52
  my
• 7:52
  children
• 7:52
  all
• 7:53
  took
• 7:53
  an
• 7:53
  interest
• 7:53
  in
• 7:54
  the
• 7:54
  business,
• 7:54
  and
• 7:54
  my
• 7:55
  wife
• 7:55
  was
• 7:56
  my
• 7:56
  partner
• 7:56
  from
• 7:56
  the
• 7:57
  beginning,
• 7:58
  so
• 7:58
  we
• 7:58
  started
• 7:59
  together.
• 8:00
  My
• 8:00
  wife,
• 8:00
  Helen,
• 8:01
  she
• 8:01
  did
• 8:01
  the
• 8:02
  office
• 8:02
  work,
• 8:03
  the
• 8:03
  design.
• 8:04
  I
• 8:05
  run
• 8:05
  the
• 8:05
  factory
• 8:06
  and
• 8:06
  the
• 8:06
  installation.
• 8:08
  And
• 8:08
  then
• 8:08
  our
• 8:09
  four
• 8:09
  children,
• 8:10
  Dale
• 8:10
  and
• 8:11
  Dolores,
• 8:11
  and
• 8:12
  Jerry,
• 8:13
  which
• 8:13
  is
• 8:13
  in
• 8:14
  heaven
• 8:14
  now.
• 8:14
  He
• 8:14
  was,
• 8:15
  unfortunately,
• 8:16
  was
• 8:16
  killed
• 8:16
  in
• 8:16
  a
• 8:17
  car
• 8:17
  accident
• 8:17
  in
• 8:18
  1980.
• 8:19
  So
• 8:19
  that
• 8:19
  was
• 8:20
  the
• 8:20
  saddest
• 8:20
  part
• 8:20
  of
• 8:21
  my
• 8:21
  journey.
• 8:21
  Yeah,
• 8:22
  no
• 8:22
  question,
• 8:23
  no
• 8:23
  question.
• 8:24
  Albin
• 8:25
  Jr.
• 8:25
  Being
• 8:25
  the
• 8:25
  youngest
• 8:26
  one.
• 8:27
  So
• 8:27
  they
• 8:28
  all
• 8:28
  three
• 8:28
  are
• 8:29
  in
• 8:29
  the
• 8:29
  kitchen
• 8:30
  business
• 8:30
  here
• 8:31
  and
• 8:31
  running
• 8:31
  things.
• 8:33
  Dolores
• 8:33
  is
• 8:34
  a
• 8:34
  cfo.
• 8:35
  She
• 8:35
  runs
• 8:35
  the
• 8:35
  financial,
• 8:36
  and
• 8:36
  they
• 8:37
  own
• 8:37
  the
• 8:37
  business
• 8:38
  now
• 8:38
  and
• 8:39
  do
• 8:39
  an
• 8:40
  excellent
• 8:40
  job.
• 8:41
  Oh,
• 8:41
  that
• 8:41
  is
• 8:42
  great.
• 8:43
  With
• 8:43
  a
• 8:43
  great
• 8:43
  team
• 8:44
  of
• 8:44
  people.
• 8:45
  Oh,
• 8:45
  yeah,
• 8:46
  absolutely.
• 8:46
  I
• 8:46
  mean,
• 8:47
  what
• 8:47
  are
• 8:47
  some
• 8:47
  of
• 8:47
  the
• 8:47
  changes
• 8:48
  that
• 8:48
  you've
• 8:48
  seen
• 8:48
  over
• 8:48
  the
• 8:49
  years
• 8:50
  just
• 8:50
  in
• 8:51
  cabinet
• 8:51
  construction?
• 8:52
  I
• 8:52
  mean,
• 8:52
  how
• 8:52
  we
• 8:53
  built
• 8:53
  things
• 8:53
  even
• 8:53
  in
• 8:54
  1958
• 8:55
  to
• 8:55
  now
• 8:55
  is.
• 8:55
  Is
• 8:56
  considerably
• 8:57
  different,
• 8:57
  I
• 8:57
  would
• 8:58
  think.
• 8:59
  Yep.
• 8:59
  Well,
• 9:00
  especially
• 9:00
  the
• 9:01
  finishes.
• 9:01
  The
• 9:01
  finishes
• 9:02
  are
• 9:03
  endless.
• 9:04
  You
• 9:04
  know,
• 9:04
  we
• 9:05
  start
• 9:05
  out
• 9:05
  mostly
• 9:06
  doing
• 9:06
  staining,
• 9:07
  hand
• 9:07
  rubber
• 9:08
  finishes,
• 9:09
  oil
• 9:09
  stain
• 9:10
  and
• 9:10
  sealer
• 9:11
  and
• 9:11
  varnish.
• 9:12
  Today,
• 9:13
  I
• 9:14
  say
• 9:14
  maybe
• 9:14
  60,
• 9:15
  70%
• 9:15
  of
• 9:16
  the
• 9:16
  kitchens
• 9:16
  are
• 9:16
  painted.
• 9:17
  So
• 9:18
  that's
• 9:18
  a
• 9:18
  big
• 9:18
  change
• 9:19
  is
• 9:19
  the
• 9:20
  kind
• 9:20
  of
• 9:20
  finishes
• 9:21
  and
• 9:21
  many,
• 9:21
  many
• 9:22
  different
• 9:22
  colors.
• 9:23
  You
• 9:23
  know,
• 9:23
  years
• 9:24
  ago,
• 9:24
  white
• 9:24
  was
• 9:25
  white
• 9:25
  and
• 9:25
  black
• 9:25
  was
• 9:26
  black.
• 9:26
  But
• 9:26
  now
• 9:26
  there's
• 9:28
  40
• 9:28
  shades
• 9:29
  of
• 9:29
  white
• 9:29
  and
• 9:29
  40
• 9:30
  shades
• 9:30
  of
• 9:30
  black.
• 9:31
  It
• 9:32
  used
• 9:32
  to
• 9:32
  be
• 9:32
  with
• 9:32
  kitchens,
• 9:33
  you
• 9:33
  know,
• 9:33
  you
• 9:33
  had
• 9:33
  the
• 9:33
  natural,
• 9:34
  the
• 9:34
  dark,
• 9:34
  and
• 9:35
  the
• 9:35
  painted,
• 9:35
  and
• 9:35
  it
• 9:35
  was
• 9:36
  kind
• 9:36
  of
• 9:36
  like,
• 9:37
  kind
• 9:37
  of
• 9:37
  like
• 9:37
  the
• 9:37
  model
• 9:38
  T
• 9:38
  thing.
• 9:38
  As
• 9:38
  long
• 9:38
  as
• 9:38
  you
• 9:39
  Want
• 9:39
  it
• 9:39
  black,
• 9:39
  you're
• 9:39
  in
• 9:39
  a
• 9:40
  good
• 9:40
  shape.
• 9:40
  Right,
• 9:42
  right,
• 9:42
  right.
• 9:43
  Yeah.
• 9:44
  But
• 9:44
  construction
• 9:45
  wise,
• 9:45
  everything
• 9:45
  is
• 9:46
  mortise
• 9:46
  and
• 9:46
  tenanted
• 9:47
  and
• 9:48
  it's
• 9:49
  built
• 9:49
  a
• 9:49
  lot
• 9:49
  like
• 9:50
  we
• 9:50
  always
• 9:50
  did.
• 9:52
  Everything
• 9:53
  is
• 9:53
  built
• 9:54
  pretty
• 9:54
  well
• 9:54
  the
• 9:54
  same.
• 9:56
  What's
• 9:56
  funny
• 9:56
  is
• 9:56
  that
• 9:57
  technology
• 9:57
  has
• 9:57
  almost
• 9:58
  made
• 9:58
  it
• 9:58
  easier
• 9:59
  to
• 9:59
  build
• 9:59
  a
• 9:59
  stronger
• 9:59
  cabinet
• 10:00
  because
• 10:00
  you
• 10:00
  can
• 10:01
  really
• 10:01
  dial
• 10:01
  in
• 10:01
  and
• 10:02
  take
• 10:02
  out
• 10:02
  that
• 10:03
  human
• 10:03
  error
• 10:04
  that
• 10:04
  we
• 10:04
  see
• 10:05
  that
• 10:05
  even
• 10:05
  the
• 10:05
  best
• 10:06
  craftsmen
• 10:06
  sometimes
• 10:07
  have
• 10:07
  with
• 10:07
  a
• 10:07
  table
• 10:08
  saw.
• 10:09
  Yeah,
• 10:09
  yeah,
• 10:09
  we
• 10:10
  have.
• 10:10
  The
• 10:10
  saws
• 10:10
  that
• 10:11
  they
• 10:11
  have
• 10:11
  today
• 10:11
  are
• 10:11
  very
• 10:12
  precision.
• 10:12
  Yeah.
• 10:14
  Very
• 10:14
  accurate.
• 10:14
  So
• 10:16
  makes
• 10:16
  it
• 10:16
  easier
• 10:17
  to
• 10:17
  assemble
• 10:17
  a
• 10:17
  cabinet
• 10:18
  when
• 10:18
  all
• 10:18
  the
• 10:18
  parts
• 10:18
  are
• 10:18
  cut
• 10:19
  perfectly.
• 10:20
  Right?
• 10:21
  Absolutely.
• 10:22
  Don't
• 10:23
  change
• 10:23
  that
• 10:23
  dial.
• 10:24
  We
• 10:24
  come
• 10:24
  back.
• 10:24

  Let's
• 11:07
  get
• 11:07
  back
• 11:07
  to
• 11:07
  the
• 11:07
  conversation
• 11:08
  that
• 11:08
  we
• 11:09
  have
• 11:09
  really
• 11:09
  had
• 11:10
  a
• 11:10
  great
• 11:10
  time
• 11:11
  with.
• 11:11
  You
• 11:12
  know,
• 11:12
  using.
• 11:12
  When
• 11:13
  I
• 11:13
  first
• 11:13
  started
• 11:13
  kitchen
• 11:14
  and
• 11:14
  bath
• 11:14
  design,
• 11:14
  I
• 11:15
  was
• 11:15
  using
• 11:16
  a
• 11:16
  little
• 11:16
  computer
• 11:17
  work.
• 11:17
  But
• 11:18
  when
• 11:18
  I
• 11:18
  took
• 11:18
  my
• 11:19
  CKD
• 11:19
  exam
• 11:20
  with
• 11:20
  the
• 11:20
  NKBA
• 11:21
  to
• 11:21
  be
• 11:21
  a
• 11:21
  certified
• 11:22
  kitchen
• 11:22
  designer,
• 11:23
  it
• 11:23
  was
• 11:23
  hand
• 11:23
  drafted.
• 11:24
  And
• 11:24
  I
• 11:25
  worked
• 11:25
  at
• 11:25
  companies
• 11:25
  that
• 11:26
  were
• 11:26
  high
• 11:26
  end
• 11:26
  that
• 11:27
  we
• 11:27
  did
• 11:27
  all
• 11:28
  the
• 11:28
  hand
• 11:28
  drafting
• 11:28
  and
• 11:29
  now,
• 11:29
  boy,
• 11:29
  the
• 11:30
  manufacturer
• 11:30
  creates
• 11:31
  the
• 11:31
  catalog
• 11:32
  to
• 11:32
  go
• 11:32
  into
• 11:32
  the
• 11:32
  kitchen
• 11:33
  design
• 11:33
  program
• 11:34
  and
• 11:34
  off
• 11:35
  people
• 11:35
  go
• 11:35
  designing
• 11:36
  it.
• 11:36
  And
• 11:36
  you
• 11:36
  guys
• 11:37
  get
• 11:38
  a
• 11:38
  list
• 11:38
  of
• 11:39
  cabinetry.
• 11:39
  Pretty
• 11:39
  easy
• 11:40
  compared
• 11:40
  to
• 11:41
  having
• 11:41
  to
• 11:41
  do
• 11:41
  all
• 11:41
  the
• 11:42
  hand
• 11:42
  entering
• 11:42
  and
• 11:42
  hand
• 11:42
  keying
• 11:43
  of
• 11:43
  things.
• 11:44
  Yep.
• 11:44
  That's
• 11:44
  what
• 11:45
  we
• 11:45
  started
• 11:45
  with.
• 11:46
  All
• 11:46
  hand
• 11:47
  drawing,
• 11:48
  drew
• 11:49
  perspectives
• 11:50
  and
• 11:50
  a
• 11:51
  floor
• 11:51
  plan,
• 11:51
  an
• 11:52
  elevation
• 11:52
  and
• 11:54
  3D.
• 11:54
  3D
• 11:55
  perspective.
• 11:58
  Yeah.
• 11:58
  And
• 11:58
  that
• 11:59
  was
• 11:59
  a
• 11:59
  challenge.
• 11:59
  It
• 11:59
  was
• 12:00
  enjoyable.
• 12:01
  That's
• 12:01
  all
• 12:01
  we
• 12:01
  knew
• 12:02
  years
• 12:02
  ago
• 12:02
  is
• 12:03
  drawing
• 12:03
  by
• 12:03
  hand.
• 12:04
  We
• 12:04
  didn't
• 12:05
  have
• 12:05
  any
• 12:05
  computers,
• 12:05
  so
• 12:06
  we
• 12:06
  started
• 12:07
  in
• 12:07
  59.
• 12:08
  I
• 12:08
  think
• 12:08
  the
• 12:09
  first
• 12:09
  computer
• 12:09
  we
• 12:09
  had
• 12:10
  was
• 12:10
  1980.
• 12:11
  Yeah,
• 12:13
  yeah.
• 12:13
  And
• 12:13
  I
• 12:13
  was
• 12:13
  working
• 12:14
  for
• 12:14
  home
• 12:14
  centers
• 12:15
  in
• 12:15
  the
• 12:15
  90s
• 12:15
  and
• 12:15
  they
• 12:16
  were
• 12:16
  starting
• 12:16
  to
• 12:16
  get,
• 12:17
  you
• 12:17
  know,
• 12:18
  in
• 12:18
  the
• 12:18
  early
• 12:18
  90s
• 12:18
  starting
• 12:19
  to
• 12:19
  use
• 12:19
  the,
• 12:19
  the
• 12:20
  computers
• 12:20
  there.
• 12:20
  But
• 12:22
  I
• 12:22
  tell
• 12:22
  you
• 12:22
  what,
• 12:22
  it
• 12:22
  was
• 12:22
  a
• 12:23
  lot
• 12:23
  faster
• 12:23
  instead
• 12:23
  of
• 12:23
  me
• 12:24
  drawing
• 12:24
  a
• 12:24
  kitchen
• 12:24
  out,
• 12:25
  you
• 12:25
  know,
• 12:25
  a
• 12:25
  couple
• 12:26
  kitchens,
• 12:26
  a
• 12:26
  Day
• 12:26
  I
• 12:26
  could
• 12:26
  do
• 12:27
  seven
• 12:27
  or
• 12:27
  eight,
• 12:28
  and
• 12:28
  it
• 12:28
  was
• 12:28
  a
• 12:28
  lot
• 12:29
  more
• 12:29
  efficient
• 12:29
  and
• 12:30
  a
• 12:30
  lot
• 12:30
  more
• 12:30
  accurate
• 12:31
  because
• 12:31
  I
• 12:31
  wasn't
• 12:31
  having
• 12:32
  to
• 12:32
  rely
• 12:32
  on
• 12:32
  my
• 12:32
  math.
• 12:33
  Yeah,
• 12:34
  yeah,
• 12:34
  yeah.
• 12:35
  Everything's
• 12:35
  computerized
• 12:36
  now.
• 12:37
  Yep.
• 12:38
  And
• 12:38
  you
• 12:39
  guys
• 12:39
  build
• 12:39
  primarily
• 12:40
  face
• 12:41
  frame
• 12:41
  style,
• 12:41
  traditional
• 12:42
  American
• 12:42
  cabinetry,
• 12:43
  correct?
• 12:44
  Well,
• 12:45
  it
• 12:45
  seems
• 12:45
  about
• 12:46
  50,
• 12:46
  50
• 12:47
  with
• 12:48
  the
• 12:49
  frame,
• 12:49
  front
• 12:49
  frame,
• 12:50
  and
• 12:50
  then
• 12:50
  the
• 12:50
  frameless.
• 12:51
  We
• 12:52
  also
• 12:52
  do
• 12:52
  a
• 12:52
  lot
• 12:52
  of
• 12:52
  frameless.
• 12:53
  Yep.
• 12:54
  All
• 12:54
  right.
• 12:54
  That's
• 12:54
  a
• 12:55
  change
• 12:55
  since
• 12:55
  I
• 12:55
  was
• 12:55
  back
• 12:56
  out
• 12:56
  there
• 12:56
  a
• 12:56
  little
• 12:56
  bit.
• 12:56
  It
• 12:57
  was
• 12:57
  a
• 12:57
  little
• 12:57
  bit
• 12:57
  you
• 12:57
  guys
• 12:58
  were
• 12:58
  messing
• 12:58
  around
• 12:58
  with,
• 12:58
  but,
• 12:59
  yeah,
• 13:00
  they're.
• 13:00
  Doing
• 13:00
  a
• 13:00
  lot
• 13:00
  more
• 13:01
  now.
• 13:01
  Frameless.
• 13:02
  Yep.
• 13:03
  Well,
• 13:03
  that
• 13:03
  changes
• 13:04
  production
• 13:04
  as
• 13:05
  well,
• 13:05
  because,
• 13:05
  you
• 13:06
  know,
• 13:06
  you
• 13:06
  guys
• 13:06
  having
• 13:07
  to
• 13:07
  go
• 13:07
  through
• 13:07
  and
• 13:07
  build
• 13:08
  face
• 13:08
  frames
• 13:08
  and.
• 13:09
  And
• 13:09
  doing
• 13:10
  the
• 13:10
  mortise
• 13:10
  and
• 13:10
  tenon
• 13:11
  on
• 13:11
  that
• 13:11
  type
• 13:11
  of
• 13:11
  thing
• 13:11
  versus
• 13:12
  just
• 13:12
  edge
• 13:12
  banding,
• 13:13
  it
• 13:13
  really
• 13:14
  changes
• 13:14
  the
• 13:14
  workflow
• 13:15
  within
• 13:15
  the
• 13:15
  shop,
• 13:15
  it
• 13:16
  seems.
• 13:17
  It
• 13:17
  does.
• 13:17
  Yeah,
• 13:19
  it
• 13:19
  does
• 13:19
  change
• 13:19
  it.
• 13:21
  But
• 13:21
  I
• 13:21
  have
• 13:21
  a
• 13:21
  mix.
• 13:22
  Yeah,
• 13:22
  they
• 13:23
  have
• 13:23
  a
• 13:23
  mix.
• 13:23
  They
• 13:23
  run
• 13:24
  some
• 13:24
  with
• 13:24
  front
• 13:25
  frame,
• 13:25
  and
• 13:25
  then
• 13:25
  the
• 13:26
  next
• 13:26
  one
• 13:26
  might
• 13:26
  be
• 13:26
  frameless.
• 13:27
  So
• 13:28
  all
• 13:29
  blends
• 13:30
  together.
• 13:30
  It
• 13:30
  works
• 13:31
  out.
• 13:31
  Yeah.
• 13:32
  For
• 13:32
  me,
• 13:32
  designing
• 13:33
  small
• 13:33
  kitchens,
• 13:33
  I
• 13:34
  always
• 13:34
  enjoyed
• 13:35
  the
• 13:35
  frameless
• 13:35
  ones
• 13:36
  because
• 13:36
  it
• 13:37
  just
• 13:37
  gave
• 13:37
  me
• 13:37
  a
• 13:37
  little
• 13:37
  more
• 13:38
  drawer
• 13:38
  space.
• 13:38
  When
• 13:38
  I
• 13:39
  was
• 13:39
  adding
• 13:39
  the
• 13:39
  drawers
• 13:39
  in
• 13:39
  there,
• 13:40
  I
• 13:40
  could
• 13:40
  get
• 13:40
  a
• 13:40
  little
• 13:40
  more
• 13:40
  into
• 13:41
  those
• 13:41
  small
• 13:41
  kitchens
• 13:42
  where
• 13:42
  the.
• 13:42
  I
• 13:42
  wasn't
• 13:43
  losing
• 13:43
  that,
• 13:44
  you
• 13:44
  know,
• 13:45
  that
• 13:45
  three
• 13:45
  inches
• 13:46
  or
• 13:46
  at
• 13:46
  least.
• 13:46
  At
• 13:47
  least
• 13:47
  losing
• 13:47
  an
• 13:47
  inch
• 13:47
  and
• 13:47
  a
• 13:48
  half
• 13:48
  of
• 13:48
  space
• 13:48
  in
• 13:48
  drawer
• 13:49
  boxes
• 13:49
  going
• 13:49
  around
• 13:49
  a
• 13:49
  kitchen.
• 13:50
  So
• 13:50
  for
• 13:51
  me,
• 13:51
  out
• 13:51
  on
• 13:51
  the
• 13:51
  west
• 13:51
  coast,
• 13:52
  being
• 13:52
  a
• 13:52
  designer,
• 13:53
  we
• 13:53
  were
• 13:53
  very
• 13:53
  much
• 13:54
  a
• 13:54
  frameless
• 13:55
  leaning
• 13:55
  company
• 13:56
  out
• 13:56
  here.
• 13:57
  Yeah.
• 13:59
  And
• 13:59
  it's.
• 14:00
  It's
• 14:01
  a
• 14:01
  very
• 14:01
  practical
• 14:02
  cabinet.
• 14:04
  It
• 14:04
  is.
• 14:05
  Have
• 14:05
  you
• 14:05
  noticed
• 14:06
  a
• 14:06
  lot
• 14:06
  of
• 14:06
  the
• 14:06
  style
• 14:07
  differences?
• 14:07
  I
• 14:07
  mean,
• 14:07
  you
• 14:08
  being
• 14:09
  where
• 14:09
  you're
• 14:09
  located,
• 14:10
  when
• 14:11
  you
• 14:11
  started
• 14:11
  to
• 14:12
  expand
• 14:12
  the
• 14:12
  company,
• 14:12
  did
• 14:13
  you
• 14:13
  start
• 14:13
  realizing,
• 14:14
  wow,
• 14:14
  regionally
• 14:15
  things
• 14:15
  change
• 14:15
  a
• 14:15
  little
• 14:15
  bit.
• 14:16
  Did
• 14:16
  you
• 14:16
  notice
• 14:17
  that
• 14:17
  as
• 14:17
  you
• 14:17
  kept
• 14:17
  growing?
• 14:18
  Oh,
• 14:19
  yeah,
• 14:19
  A
• 14:19
  lot
• 14:20
  more.
• 14:21
  Different
• 14:21
  door
• 14:21
  styles,
• 14:22
  different
• 14:22
  colors,
• 14:23
  different
• 14:24
  styles,
• 14:25
  different
• 14:25
  shape
• 14:25
  hoods.
• 14:27
  And
• 14:28
  the
• 14:28
  kitchen's
• 14:28
  much
• 14:29
  more
• 14:29
  of
• 14:29
  a
• 14:29
  fashion
• 14:30
  item
• 14:30
  now
• 14:31
  than
• 14:31
  what
• 14:32
  years
• 14:32
  ago,
• 14:32
  it
• 14:32
  was
• 14:33
  just
• 14:33
  per
• 14:33
  function.
• 14:34
  A
• 14:34
  cabinet
• 14:35
  was
• 14:35
  made
• 14:35
  for
• 14:35
  function
• 14:36
  and
• 14:37
  for
• 14:37
  practical
• 14:38
  use.
• 14:38
  And
• 14:38
  today
• 14:39
  it's
• 14:40
  more
• 14:40
  of
• 14:40
  a
• 14:42
  designer
• 14:43
  type
• 14:44
  product.
• 14:44
  Yep.
• 14:45
  Yeah.
• 14:45
  It
• 14:46
  is
• 14:46
  the
• 14:46
  center
• 14:47
  of
• 14:47
  your
• 14:47
  home,
• 14:47
  right?
• 14:48
  Pardon?
• 14:49
  It's
• 14:49
  the
• 14:49
  center
• 14:49
  of
• 14:50
  your
• 14:50
  home
• 14:50
  now,
• 14:50
  where
• 14:50
  before
• 14:51
  it
• 14:51
  was
• 14:51
  more
• 14:51
  like
• 14:52
  the.
• 14:52
  The
• 14:52
  laundry
• 14:53
  room,
• 14:53
  where
• 14:53
  it
• 14:53
  was
• 14:53
  just
• 14:54
  a
• 14:54
  function
• 14:54
  only,
• 14:55
  and
• 14:55
  you
• 14:56
  never
• 14:56
  took
• 14:56
  your
• 14:56
  guests
• 14:57
  back
• 14:57
  to
• 14:57
  the
• 14:57
  kitchen.
• 14:59
  Public
• 14:59
  space,
• 15:01
  nights
• 15:01
  of
• 15:01
  public
• 15:01
  space
• 15:02
  is
• 15:02
  a
• 15:02
  place
• 15:02
  where
• 15:03
  people
• 15:03
  love
• 15:03
  to
• 15:03
  hang
• 15:04
  out
• 15:04
  in
• 15:04
  the
• 15:04
  kitchen.
• 15:05
  And
• 15:05
  a
• 15:05
  lot
• 15:05
  of
• 15:06
  homes
• 15:06
  are
• 15:06
  built
• 15:06
  now
• 15:06
  with
• 15:07
  the
• 15:07
  kitchen
• 15:07
  and
• 15:07
  dining
• 15:08
  room
• 15:08
  and
• 15:08
  living
• 15:09
  room
• 15:09
  all
• 15:09
  open
• 15:09
  in
• 15:10
  one
• 15:10
  big
• 15:10
  room
• 15:10
  where
• 15:11
  you
• 15:11
  can
• 15:12
  socialize
• 15:12
  and
• 15:13
  entertain
• 15:13
  and.
• 15:14
  Yeah,
• 15:15
  it's.
• 15:15
  It's
• 15:16
  nice.
• 15:17
  It's
• 15:17
  where.
• 15:17
  It's
• 15:18
  where
• 15:18
  people
• 15:18
  like
• 15:18
  to
• 15:18
  hang
• 15:19
  out
• 15:19
  in
• 15:19
  the
• 15:19
  kitchen.
• 15:20
  Absolutely.
• 15:21
  And
• 15:21
  it's
• 15:21
  fun
• 15:22
  food.
• 15:22
  Yeah,
• 15:23
  food
• 15:23
  and
• 15:23
  fellowship
• 15:24
  that
• 15:24
  goes
• 15:24
  together.
• 15:25
  There
• 15:25
  we
• 15:26
  go.
• 15:26
  And
• 15:27
  that's
• 15:27
  one
• 15:27
  of
• 15:27
  the
• 15:27
  things
• 15:27
  I
• 15:27
  noticed,
• 15:28
  too,
• 15:28
  that.
• 15:29
  That
• 15:30
  designing.
• 15:30
  When
• 15:30
  I
• 15:31
  was
• 15:31
  designing
• 15:31
  older
• 15:31
  homes,
• 15:32
  you
• 15:32
  know,
• 15:32
  you
• 15:32
  get
• 15:32
  into
• 15:32
  stuff.
• 15:33
  Like
• 15:33
  pre
• 15:33
  1960,
• 15:34
  that
• 15:35
  kitchen
• 15:35
  was
• 15:35
  a
• 15:36
  smaller
• 15:37
  space
• 15:37
  that
• 15:37
  was
• 15:37
  designed
• 15:38
  for
• 15:38
  function
• 15:38
  only.
• 15:39
  But
• 15:39
  then
• 15:40
  you've
• 15:40
  got
• 15:40
  people
• 15:40
  trying
• 15:41
  to
• 15:41
  get
• 15:41
  in
• 15:41
  there
• 15:41
  that
• 15:41
  are
• 15:42
  trying
• 15:42
  to
• 15:42
  use
• 15:42
  it
• 15:42
  like
• 15:42
  you
• 15:43
  would
• 15:43
  a
• 15:43
  20,
• 15:44
  25
• 15:44
  kitchen
• 15:45
  now,
• 15:45
  where
• 15:46
  it's
• 15:46
  that
• 15:46
  great
• 15:46
  space
• 15:47
  and
• 15:47
  you
• 15:47
  just
• 15:47
  couldn't
• 15:47
  fit
• 15:48
  your
• 15:48
  15
• 15:48
  closest
• 15:49
  friends
• 15:49
  in
• 15:49
  there
• 15:50
  and
• 15:50
  actually
• 15:50
  be
• 15:51
  able
• 15:51
  to
• 15:51
  do
• 15:51
  something.
• 15:52
  So
• 15:52
  that
• 15:52
  was
• 15:52
  always
• 15:52
  some
• 15:53
  of
• 15:53
  the
• 15:53
  design
• 15:53
  challenges
• 15:54
  we
• 15:54
  would
• 15:54
  run
• 15:54
  into.
• 15:54
  And
• 15:55
  I
• 15:55
  think
• 15:55
  that's
• 15:55
  why
• 15:55
  you
• 15:56
  see
• 15:56
  so
• 15:56
  many
• 15:56
  remodels
• 15:57
  now
• 15:57
  with
• 15:57
  people
• 15:57
  taking
• 15:58
  walls
• 15:58
  out
• 15:58
  and
• 15:58
  trying
• 15:58
  to
• 15:59
  make
• 15:59
  that
• 15:59
  into
• 15:59
  the
• 15:59
  great
• 15:59
  room
• 16:00
  feel
• 16:00
  and
• 16:00
  trying
• 16:01
  to
• 16:01
  break
• 16:01
  up
• 16:01
  those
• 16:01
  smaller
• 16:02
  spaces.
• 16:04
  Yeah,
• 16:04
  I
• 16:04
  see.
• 16:05
  That
• 16:05
  definitely
• 16:05
  was
• 16:06
  a
• 16:06
  big
• 16:06
  change.
• 16:06
  The
• 16:07
  open
• 16:07
  space.
• 16:08
  Yeah.
• 16:08
  Years
• 16:09
  ago,
• 16:09
  back
• 16:09
  in
• 16:10
  the
• 16:10
  40s
• 16:10
  and
• 16:10
  50s
• 16:11
  and
• 16:11
  60s,
• 16:12
  people,
• 16:13
  the
• 16:13
  kitchen
• 16:14
  was
• 16:14
  a
• 16:14
  private
• 16:15
  place,
• 16:15
  and
• 16:16
  dining
• 16:17
  room
• 16:17
  was
• 16:17
  another
• 16:18
  room,
• 16:18
  and
• 16:19
  the
• 16:19
  living
• 16:19
  room
• 16:19
  was
• 16:19
  not
• 16:20
  a
• 16:20
  lot
• 16:20
  of
• 16:20
  open.
• 16:21
  Open
• 16:21
  living,
• 16:22
  open
• 16:22
  space
• 16:22
  space.
• 16:24
  Yeah.
• 16:24
  And
• 16:24
  it's
• 16:24
  so
• 16:24
  interesting,
• 16:25
  too,
• 16:25
  if
• 16:25
  I
• 16:25
  think
• 16:25
  about
• 16:26
  1959,
• 16:27
  when
• 16:27
  you
• 16:27
  guys
• 16:27
  started
• 16:28
  thinking
• 16:28
  about
• 16:28
  how
• 16:28
  we
• 16:29
  use
• 16:29
  the
• 16:29
  kitchen
• 16:30
  and
• 16:30
  even
• 16:31
  how
• 16:31
  the
• 16:31
  hardware
• 16:31
  and
• 16:32
  stuff
• 16:32
  changed.
• 16:32
  You
• 16:33
  know,
• 16:33
  back
• 16:33
  then,
• 16:33
  it
• 16:33
  was
• 16:33
  really
• 16:34
  doors,
• 16:35
  drawers
• 16:36
  on

  the

  top,
• 16:37
  and,
• 16:38
  you
• 16:39
  know,
• 16:39
  the
• 16:39
  hinges
• 16:39
  were
• 16:39
  different.
• 16:40
  And
• 16:40
  now
• 16:40
  with
• 16:40
  the
• 16:41
  soft
• 16:41
  clothes
• 16:41
  and
• 16:42
  all
• 16:42
  the
• 16:42
  different
• 16:42
  things
• 16:42
  that
• 16:42
  we've
• 16:43
  got,
• 16:44
  boy,
• 16:44
  it
• 16:44
  has
• 16:45
  come
• 16:45
  a
• 16:45
  long
• 16:45
  way.
• 16:46
  It
• 16:46
  did.
• 16:47
  It
• 16:47
  came
• 16:47
  a
• 16:47
  long
• 16:48
  way.
• 16:48
  They
• 16:48
  have
• 16:48
  good
• 16:48
  hardware
• 16:49
  and
• 16:50
  good
• 16:50
  drawer
• 16:50
  guides,
• 16:51
  and
• 16:52
  we
• 16:52
  use
• 16:52
  them
• 16:52
  Blum
• 16:53
  under
• 16:53
  mount
• 16:54
  guides
• 16:54
  and
• 16:54
  from
• 16:55
  Germany,
• 16:55
  and
• 16:56
  they're
• 16:57
  really
• 16:57
  nice.
• 16:58
  Yeah,
• 16:59
  yeah,
• 16:59
  it's.
• 17:00
  I
• 17:00
  remember,
• 17:01
  you
• 17:01
  know,
• 17:01
  one
• 17:01
  of
• 17:01
  the
• 17:01
  things
• 17:01
  that.
• 17:01
  It's
• 17:02
  funny
• 17:02
  when
• 17:02
  I
• 17:02
  see
• 17:02
  consumers
• 17:03
  out
• 17:03
  there,
• 17:04
  whether
• 17:04
  you're
• 17:04
  a
• 17:04
  builder,
• 17:05
  remodeler,
• 17:06
  or
• 17:06
  a
• 17:06
  homeowner
• 17:07
  out
• 17:07
  shopping,
• 17:08
  you
• 17:08
  know,
• 17:08
  that
• 17:09
  dovetail
• 17:09
  drawer
• 17:10
  box
• 17:10
  was
• 17:10
  always
• 17:10
  that
• 17:11
  thing
• 17:11
  with
• 17:11
  the
• 17:11
  side
• 17:12
  mount
• 17:12
  or
• 17:12
  the,
• 17:12
  you
• 17:12
  know,
• 17:13
  the
• 17:13
  white
• 17:13
  epoxy
• 17:13
  slides
• 17:14
  were
• 17:14
  out
• 17:14
  there
• 17:14
  in
• 17:14
  the
• 17:15
  80s.
• 17:16
  That
• 17:16
  drawer
• 17:16
  box
• 17:17
  strength
• 17:17
  was
• 17:17
  all
• 17:17
  based
• 17:18
  upon
• 17:18
  that.
• 17:19
  You
• 17:19
  know,
• 17:19
  the
• 17:19
  heavy
• 17:20
  duty
• 17:20
  drawer.
• 17:21
  And
• 17:21
  nowadays,
• 17:21
  when
• 17:21
  you're
• 17:22
  getting
• 17:22
  into
• 17:22
  those,
• 17:22
  the
• 17:23
  bloom,
• 17:23
  you
• 17:24
  know,
• 17:24
  tandem
• 17:24
  and
• 17:25
  the
• 17:25
  undermount
• 17:26
  soft
• 17:26
  close.
• 17:27
  The
• 17:28
  drawers
• 17:28
  are
• 17:29
  so
• 17:29
  much
• 17:29
  stronger
• 17:30
  on
• 17:30
  the
• 17:30
  glides.
• 17:31
  They
• 17:31
  support
• 17:31
  the
• 17:31
  drawer
• 17:32
  so
• 17:32
  much
• 17:32
  better
• 17:32
  that
• 17:33
  maybe
• 17:33
  you
• 17:33
  don't
• 17:34
  always
• 17:34
  have
• 17:34
  to
• 17:34
  go
• 17:34
  with
• 17:35
  that
• 17:35
  dovetail
• 17:36
  drawer
• 17:36
  box
• 17:37
  to
• 17:37
  get
• 17:37
  the
• 17:37
  job
• 17:37
  done.
• 17:38
  Because
• 17:39
  I
• 17:39
  tell
• 17:39
  you
• 17:39
  what,
• 17:40
  the
• 17:40
  glides
• 17:40
  take
• 17:41
  the
• 17:41
  beating
• 17:41
  where
• 17:41
  the
• 17:41
  drawer
• 17:41
  box
• 17:42
  used
• 17:42
  to.
• 17:43
  Yep.
• 17:43
  Yeah.
• 17:44
  Yeah.
• 17:44
  We
• 17:44
  wouldn't
• 17:45
  have
• 17:45
  to
• 17:45
  make
• 17:45
  a
• 17:45
  drawer
• 17:45
  box
• 17:46
  as
• 17:46
  heavy
• 17:46
  as
• 17:46
  we
• 17:47
  do,
• 17:47
  but
• 17:47
  it's
• 17:48
  what
• 17:48
  people
• 17:48
  want.
• 17:48
  They
• 17:49
  want
• 17:49
  a
• 17:49
  solid
• 17:50
  maple,
• 17:51
  5,
• 17:51
  8
• 17:52
  inch
• 17:52
  thick
• 17:53
  dovetail
• 17:54
  drawer
• 17:54
  box.
• 17:54
  But
• 17:54
  you
• 17:55
  could.
• 17:55
  My
• 17:56
  first
• 17:56
  20
• 17:56
  years
• 17:56
  I
• 17:57
  made
• 17:57
  my
• 17:57
  drawer
• 17:57
  boxes
• 17:58
  out
• 17:58
  of
• 17:58
  half
• 17:59
  inch
• 17:59
  birch
• 18:00
  plywood
• 18:00
  with
• 18:01
  an
• 18:01
  edge
• 18:01
  band
• 18:01
  on.
• 18:02
  Much
• 18:02
  lighter
• 18:04
  now
• 18:04
  you
• 18:04
  have
• 18:04
  all
• 18:05
  this
• 18:05
  weight
• 18:05
  here
• 18:05
  to
• 18:06
  carry
• 18:07
  around
• 18:07
  when
• 18:07
  you're
• 18:08
  shipping
• 18:08
  and
• 18:09
  handling
• 18:09
  in
• 18:09
  the
• 18:09
  factory.
• 18:10
  So.
• 18:11
  But
• 18:11
  it's
• 18:11
  what
• 18:11
  the
• 18:12
  market
• 18:12
  wants.
• 18:12
  They
• 18:13
  want
• 18:13
  the
• 18:14
  big
• 18:14
  drawer
• 18:14
  box,
• 18:15
  which
• 18:15
  you
• 18:15
  wouldn't,
• 18:16
  you
• 18:16
  wouldn't
• 18:16
  need
• 18:16
  it,
• 18:17
  but.
• 18:17
  Exactly.
• 18:19
  You
• 18:19
  give
• 18:20
  people
• 18:20
  what
• 18:20
  they
• 18:20
  want
• 18:20
  and
• 18:21
  they
• 18:21
  come
• 18:21
  back
• 18:21
  for
• 18:21
  more.
• 18:22
  No
• 18:22
  question.
• 18:23
  And
• 18:23
  you
• 18:23
  guys
• 18:23
  have
• 18:23
  done
• 18:24
  a
• 18:24
  lot
• 18:24
  about,
• 18:25
  you
• 18:25
  know,
• 18:25
  a
• 18:25
  lot
• 18:25
  of
• 18:25
  that
• 18:26
  over
• 18:26
  the
• 18:26
  years.
• 18:26
  And
• 18:27
  are
• 18:27
  you
• 18:27
  guys
• 18:27
  shipping
• 18:28
  now
• 18:28
  across
• 18:28
  the
• 18:29
  country
• 18:29
  to
• 18:30

• 18:30
  dealers,
• 18:30
  independent
• 18:31
  cabinet
• 18:31
  dealers
• 18:32
  like
• 18:32
  that,
• 18:32
  or
• 18:32
  how
• 18:32
  far
• 18:32
  do
• 18:32
  you
• 18:33
  guys
• 18:33
  go
• 18:33
  now?
• 18:34
  Well,
• 18:34
  we're
• 18:34
  covering
• 18:35
  the
• 18:35
  whole
• 18:35
  east
• 18:36
  coast
• 18:36
  from
• 18:36
  Maine
• 18:37
  to
• 18:37
  Florida
• 18:38
  and
• 18:38
  we
• 18:39
  have
• 18:39
  a
• 18:39
  couple
• 18:39
  dealers
• 18:40
  out
• 18:41
  west
• 18:41
  in
• 18:41
  California.
• 18:43
  Where.
• 18:43
  That's
• 18:43
  where
• 18:43
  you're
• 18:44
  from
• 18:44
  or
• 18:44
  where.
• 18:44
  Yeah,
• 18:45
  I
• 18:45
  was
• 18:45
  actually
• 18:45
  up
• 18:45
  in
• 18:45
  the
• 18:46
  Seattle
• 18:46
  area.
• 18:46
  I
• 18:46
  was
• 18:46
  trying
• 18:47
  to
• 18:47
  really
• 18:47
  push
• 18:47
  you
• 18:47
  guys
• 18:48
  to
• 18:48
  your
• 18:48
  farthest
• 18:48
  limit
• 18:49
  at
• 18:49
  the
• 18:49
  time.
• 18:50
  So
• 18:50
  I
• 18:51
  was
• 18:51
  trying
• 18:51
  to
• 18:51
  get
• 18:51
  it
• 18:51
  out
• 18:51
  here.
• 18:52
  And
• 18:52
  that's,
• 18:53
  you
• 18:53
  know,
• 18:53
  that's
• 18:53
  one
• 18:53
  of
• 18:53
  the
• 18:54
  things
• 18:54
  I
• 18:54
  will
• 18:54
  say
• 18:54
  that
• 18:54
  I
• 18:55
  think
• 18:55
  that's
• 18:55
  getting
• 18:55
  better
• 18:56
  out
• 18:56
  there
• 18:56
  over
• 18:57

• 19:05
  we

• 21:37
  That
• 21:37
  is
• 21:37
  great
• 21:38
  because
• 21:38
  I
• 21:39
  know
• 21:39
  when
• 21:39
  companies
• 21:40
  back
• 21:40
  in
• 21:40
  the
• 21:41
  80s
• 21:41
  were
• 21:41
  really
• 21:41
  expanding,
• 21:42
  going
• 21:42
  across
• 21:42
  the
• 21:42
  country,
• 21:43
  they
• 21:43
  were
• 21:43
  palletizing
• 21:44
  them
• 21:44
  and
• 21:44
  they
• 21:44
  were
• 21:44
  shipping
• 21:44
  them
• 21:45
  like
• 21:46
  Anything
• 21:46
  else
• 21:46
  like
• 21:46
  towels
• 21:47
  and
• 21:47
  toilet
• 21:47
  paper
• 21:48
  or
• 21:48
  whatever
• 21:48
  else
• 21:48
  out
• 21:49
  there.
• 21:49
  And
• 21:50
  yeah,
• 21:51
  those,
• 21:52
  those
• 21:52
  trucking
• 21:52
  companies
• 21:53
  could
• 21:53
  be
• 21:53
  pretty
• 21:54
  tough
• 21:54
  on
• 21:54
  cabinetry.
• 21:55
  Yeah,
• 21:56
  yeah.
• 21:56
  There
• 21:56
  you
• 21:56
  can't
• 21:57
  just
• 21:57
  ship
• 21:57
  with
• 21:57
  anybody.
• 21:58
  These
• 21:58
  people
• 21:58
  specialize.
• 22:00
  We
• 22:00
  use
• 22:00
  Sounder
• 22:01
  Trucking
• 22:01
  from
• 22:01
  New
• 22:02
  Holland,
• 22:02
  Pennsylvania.
• 22:04
  Yep.
• 22:04
  They
• 22:04
  do
• 22:04
  a
• 22:05
  nice
• 22:05
  job
• 22:05
  for
• 22:05
  our
• 22:06
  long
• 22:06
  distance
• 22:06
  like
• 22:07
  into
• 22:07
  Florida
• 22:07
  and
• 22:08
  out
• 22:08
  west.
• 22:08
  And
• 22:09
  then
• 22:09
  we
• 22:09
  have
• 22:10
  a
• 22:10
  local
• 22:10
  company
• 22:10
  here
• 22:11
  called
• 22:11
  Cupboard
• 22:11
  Wagon
• 22:13
  and
• 22:13
  that's
• 22:13
  all
• 22:13
  they
• 22:13
  do
• 22:14
  is
• 22:14
  kitchen
• 22:15
  delivery.
• 22:16
  So
• 22:16
  they
• 22:16
  do
• 22:16
  a
• 22:17
  nice
• 22:17
  job.
• 22:18
  That
• 22:18
  is
• 22:19
  great.
• 22:20
  I
• 22:20
  tell
• 22:20
  you
• 22:20
  what,
• 22:20
  I
• 22:20
  have
• 22:21
  never
• 22:21
  seen
• 22:21
  so
• 22:21
  many
• 22:21
  wagons
• 22:22
  that
• 22:22
  out
• 22:22
  in
• 22:22
  your
• 22:23
  country,
• 22:23
  out
• 22:23
  there
• 22:23
  in
• 22:24
  your
• 22:24
  part
• 22:24
  of
• 22:24
  the
• 22:24
  woods.
• 22:24
  It
• 22:25
  is
• 22:25
  a
• 22:25
  beautiful
• 22:26
  part
• 22:26
  of
• 22:26
  that.
• 22:26
  And
• 22:26
  it's,
• 22:27
  it's
• 22:28
  so
• 22:28
  interesting
• 22:28
  to
• 22:29
  watch
• 22:29
  how
• 22:29
  the
• 22:29
  different
• 22:30
  cultures
• 22:30
  have
• 22:30
  meshed
• 22:31
  in
• 22:31
  and
• 22:31
  worked
• 22:31
  together
• 22:32
  out
• 22:32
  there.
• 22:32
  It's,
• 22:33
  it's,
• 22:33
  it's
• 22:33
  a
• 22:34
  piece
• 22:34
  of
• 22:34
  beauty
• 22:35
  and
• 22:35
  I
• 22:35
  think
• 22:35
  that
• 22:35
  shows
• 22:36
  in
• 22:36
  your
• 22:36
  craftsmanship
• 22:37
  out
• 22:37
  there
• 22:37
  as
• 22:37
  well.
• 22:38
  Yeah,
• 22:38
  we're
• 22:38
  blessed.
• 22:39
  We're
• 22:39
  in
• 22:39
  a
• 22:39
  beautiful
• 22:40
  part
• 22:40
  of
• 22:40
  the
• 22:40
  world
• 22:40
  here.
• 22:41
  A
• 22:41
  lot
• 22:41
  of
• 22:41
  agriculture
• 22:42
  and
• 22:43
  a
• 22:43
  lot
• 22:43
  of
• 22:44
  local
• 22:45
  industries.
• 22:45
  Craftsmen.
• 22:46
  And
• 22:47
  it's
• 22:47
  just
• 22:48
  a
• 22:48
  beautiful
• 22:48
  area.
• 22:50
  Oh,
• 22:50
  absolutely.
• 22:51
  I
• 22:51
  remember
• 22:51
  speaking
• 22:52
  of
• 22:52
  New
• 22:52
  Holland,
• 22:53
  I
• 22:53
  remember
• 22:53
  going
• 22:53
  through
• 22:54
  New
• 22:54
  Holland
• 22:54
  and
• 22:55
  I
• 22:56
  was
• 22:56
  driving
• 22:56
  through
• 22:57
  there
• 22:57
  with
• 22:57
  some
• 22:57
  friends
• 22:58
  checking
• 22:58
  out
• 22:58
  cabinet
• 22:59
  dealers,
• 22:59
  of
• 22:59
  course.
• 23:00
  And
• 23:01
  I
• 23:01
  see
• 23:01
  this
• 23:01
  huge
• 23:02
  New
• 23:03
  Holland
• 23:04
  cabinet.
• 23:05
  I
• 23:05
  mean
• 23:05
  New
• 23:05
  Holland
• 23:06
  tractor
• 23:07
  dealership.
• 23:08
  And
• 23:08
  directly
• 23:08
  across
• 23:09
  the
• 23:09
  road
• 23:09
  was
• 23:10
  somebody
• 23:10
  out
• 23:10
  there
• 23:12
  hand
• 23:12
  working
• 23:12
  the
• 23:13
  land
• 23:13
  with
• 23:13
  a
• 23:13
  horse.
• 23:14
  Yeah.
• 23:14
  And
• 23:15
  I
• 23:15
  was
• 23:15
  like,
• 23:16
  I
• 23:16
  am
• 23:16
  in
• 23:17
  this
• 23:17
  ying
• 23:18
  yang
• 23:19
  world
• 23:19
  of
• 23:20
  wow,
• 23:20
  all
• 23:21
  right
• 23:21
  here.
• 23:21
  And
• 23:22
  it
• 23:22
  was
• 23:22
  really
• 23:22
  cool
• 23:22
  to
• 23:23
  see.
• 23:24
  Yeah,
• 23:24
  we
• 23:24
  have
• 23:24
  a
• 23:24
  lot
• 23:25
  of
• 23:25
  the
• 23:25
  Amish
• 23:25
  people
• 23:26
  still
• 23:26
  use
• 23:26
  horses
• 23:27
  for
• 23:28
  farming
• 23:28
  and
• 23:29
  so
• 23:30
  we
• 23:30
  have
• 23:30
  all
• 23:31
  different
• 23:31
  kinds
• 23:32
  from
• 23:32
  horses
• 23:33
  to
• 23:33
  big
• 23:33
  tractors.
• 23:34
  Yeah,
• 23:34
  it's
• 23:35
  great
• 23:35
  to
• 23:35
  see.
• 23:36
  And
• 23:36
  it's
• 23:37
  something
• 23:37
  for
• 23:37
  me
• 23:38
  that
• 23:38
  was
• 23:38
  just
• 23:38
  really
• 23:38
  foreign
• 23:39
  to
• 23:39
  see
• 23:39
  out
• 23:39
  from
• 23:40
  the
• 23:40
  west
• 23:40
  coast
• 23:40
  out
• 23:40
  here.
• 23:41
  It's
• 23:41
  just
• 23:41
  not
• 23:41
  something
• 23:42
  normal
• 23:42
  that
• 23:43
  we
• 23:43
  would
• 23:43
  see
• 23:43
  in
• 23:43
  our
• 23:43
  everyday.
• 23:44
  And
• 23:44
  I
• 23:44
  really
• 23:44
  thought
• 23:45
  it
• 23:45
  was
• 23:45
  beautiful.
• 23:46
  And
• 23:46
  some
• 23:47
  of
• 23:47
  the
• 23:47
  buggies
• 23:47
  that
• 23:48
  run
• 23:48
  around
• 23:48
  there,
• 23:49
  and
• 23:49
  I'm
• 23:49
  probably
• 23:49
  using
• 23:49
  the
• 23:50
  wrong
• 23:50
  terms
• 23:50
  as
• 23:50
  a
• 23:51
  west
• 23:51
  coaster,
• 23:51
  but
• 23:52
  beautiful
• 23:53
  craftsmanship
• 23:54
  everywhere
• 23:54
  that
• 23:54
  I
• 23:54
  saw.
• 23:55
  Yep,
• 23:56
  yep.
• 23:58
  So
• 23:58
  with
• 23:58
  cabinetry,
• 23:59
  cabinetry
• 24:00
  now,
• 24:00
  I
• 24:00
  mean,
• 24:01
  it's
• 24:01
  really
• 24:01
  interesting.
• 24:02
  Are
• 24:02
  you
• 24:02
  working
• 24:03
  now
• 24:03
  with,
• 24:04
  with
• 24:04
  builders,
• 24:05
  Are
• 24:05
  you
• 24:05
  working
• 24:06
  more
• 24:06
  with
• 24:06
  independent
• 24:07
  cabinet
• 24:07
  dealers
• 24:08
  or
• 24:08
  is
• 24:08
  it
• 24:08
  a
• 24:08
  mixture
• 24:09
  of
• 24:09
  both?
• 24:10
  We
• 24:10
  do
• 24:11
  some
• 24:11
  of
• 24:11
  everything.
• 24:11
  We
• 24:12
  always
• 24:13
  did.
• 24:13
  We
• 24:13
  sell
• 24:13
  to
• 24:14
  the.
• 24:14
  We're
• 24:14
  our
• 24:14
  own
• 24:15
  local
• 24:15
  dealership
• 24:16
  right
• 24:16
  here
• 24:16
  in
• 24:16
  the
• 24:16
  factory.
• 24:17
  We
• 24:17
  sell
• 24:17
  to
• 24:17
  the
• 24:18
  individual
• 24:19
  retail.
• 24:20
  We
• 24:20
  have
• 24:20
  a
• 24:20
  showroom.
• 24:21
  So
• 24:21
  and
• 24:22
  we
• 24:22
  have
• 24:22
  in
• 24:22
  salespeople
• 24:23
  and
• 24:23
  installers
• 24:25
  that
• 24:25
  cover
• 24:26
  a
• 24:26
  70
• 24:27
  mile
• 24:27
  radius
• 24:27
  from
• 24:28
  our
• 24:28
  factory.
• 24:29
  And
• 24:29
  then
• 24:30
  everything
• 24:30
  there
• 24:31
  goes
• 24:32
  from
• 24:32
  there
• 24:32
  on.
• 24:33
  It
• 24:33
  goes
• 24:33
  through
• 24:33
  independent
• 24:34
  Dealers.
• 24:35
  So
• 24:35
  we
• 24:35
  sell
• 24:36
  individuals
• 24:37
  and
• 24:37
  contractors
• 24:38
  and
• 24:39
  that's
• 24:39
  how
• 24:39
  we
• 24:39
  build
• 24:40
  our
• 24:40
  business,
• 24:42
  selling
• 24:43
  everybody
• 24:43
  from
• 24:45
  individuals
• 24:45
  to
• 24:46
  contractors
• 24:46
  to
• 24:47
  dealers.
• 24:49
  So
• 24:49
  Elvin,
• 24:49
  who
• 24:50
  is
• 24:50
  your
• 24:50
  customer
• 24:51
  as
• 24:51
  far
• 24:51
  as
• 24:51
  in
• 24:51
  the
• 24:51
  space
• 24:52
  of
• 24:52
  the
• 24:52
  cabinet?
• 24:53
  You
• 24:54
  know,
• 24:54
  kind
• 24:54
  of
• 24:54
  in
• 24:54
  that
• 24:54
  good,
• 24:55
  better,
• 24:55
  best.
• 24:55
  And
• 24:56
  that's
• 24:56
  the
• 24:56
  one
• 24:56
  thing
• 24:56
  I
• 24:57
  learned
• 24:57
  early
• 24:57
  on
• 24:58
  in
• 24:58
  cabinetry
• 24:58
  is
• 24:59
  that
• 24:59
  you've
• 24:59
  got
• 25:00
  kind
• 25:00
  of
• 25:01
  everything
• 25:01
  that
• 25:01
  starts
• 25:01
  out
• 25:01
  with
• 25:02
  what
• 25:02
  I
• 25:02
  would
• 25:02
  call
• 25:02
  is
• 25:03
  the
• 25:03
  ready
• 25:03
  to
• 25:03
  assemble.
• 25:04
  Coming
• 25:04
  in
• 25:04
  off
• 25:05
  the
• 25:05
  boat
• 25:05
  from
• 25:05
  overseas
• 25:06
  to
• 25:06
  the
• 25:08
  high
• 25:08
  end
• 25:08
  architectural
• 25:09
  digest,
• 25:11
  you
• 25:11
  know,
• 25:11
  $300,000
• 25:13
  cabinet
• 25:13
  package
• 25:14
  going
• 25:14
  in
• 25:14
  a
• 25:14
  small
• 25:14
  condo
• 25:15
  that
• 25:15
  looks
• 25:15
  absolutely
• 25:16
  insane.
• 25:17
  Where
• 25:17
  you
• 25:18
  guys
• 25:18
  kind
• 25:18
  of
• 25:18
  fit
• 25:19
  in
• 25:19
  that,
• 25:19
  in
• 25:20
  that
• 25:20
  world
• 25:20
  of
• 25:20
  cabinetry.
• 25:22
  Well,
• 25:22
  we
• 25:22
  are,
• 25:23
  I
• 25:23
  would
• 25:23
  say
• 25:24
  in
• 25:24
  the
• 25:24
  high
• 25:24
  end
• 25:25
  of
• 25:25
  the
• 25:25
  high
• 25:25
  end
• 25:26
  custom.
• 25:27
  We.
• 25:28
  Our
• 25:28
  motto
• 25:29
  is
• 25:30
  the
• 25:30
  only
• 25:30
  limitation
• 25:31
  is
• 25:31
  your
• 25:32
  imagination
• 25:32
  and
• 25:33
  your
• 25:33
  space
• 25:33
  and
• 25:34
  your
• 25:34
  budget.
• 25:35
  So
• 25:35
  if
• 25:35
  you
• 25:35
  can
• 25:35
  design
• 25:36
  it
• 25:36
  and
• 25:36
  fit
• 25:37
  it
• 25:37
  in
• 25:37
  your
• 25:37
  house
• 25:37
  and
• 25:38
  can
• 25:38
  afford
• 25:38
  it,
• 25:38
  we
• 25:38
  can
• 25:39
  build
• 25:39
  most
• 25:39
  any,
• 25:40
  any
• 25:41
  size
• 25:41
  kitchen
• 25:42
  you
• 25:42
  want
• 25:42
  with
• 25:42
  any
• 25:43
  style,
• 25:43
  any
• 25:44
  color.
• 25:45
  So
• 25:45
  we
• 25:46
  make
• 25:46
  small
• 25:47
  kitchens
• 25:47
  for
• 25:48
  20,000,
• 25:49
  all
• 25:50
  the
• 25:50
  way
• 25:50
  up
• 25:50
  to
• 25:50
  a
• 25:50
  hundred
• 25:51
  thousand.
• 25:51
  So
• 25:52
  what?
• 25:53
  Whatever
• 25:54
  you
• 25:54
  want.
• 25:54
  We
• 25:54
  don't
• 25:55
  just
• 25:55
  do
• 25:55
  kitchens.
• 25:56
  We
• 25:56
  do
• 25:57
  furniture
• 25:58
  for
• 25:58
  the
• 25:58
  entire
• 25:59
  home.
• 25:59
  We
• 25:59
  do
• 26:00
  the
• 26:00
  walk
• 26:01
  in
• 26:01
  closets,
• 26:02
  office
• 26:03
  furniture,
• 26:04
  bathrooms.
• 26:06
  If
• 26:06
  it's
• 26:06
  a
• 26:06
  cabinet,
• 26:07
  we
• 26:07
  build
• 26:07
  it
• 26:07
  for
• 26:08
  any
• 26:08
  and
• 26:08
  for
• 26:09
  the
• 26:09
  whole
• 26:09
  house.
• 26:10
  Yeah.
• 26:10
  It's
• 26:11
  so
• 26:11
  amazing
• 26:12
  how,
• 26:12
  you
• 26:12
  know,
• 26:12
  kitchens
• 26:13
  were
• 26:13
  the
• 26:13
  big
• 26:13
  thing
• 26:14
  thing.
• 26:15
  It
• 26:15
  expanded
• 26:15
  into
• 26:16
  bathrooms
• 26:16
  and
• 26:17
  really
• 26:17
  making
• 26:17
  the
• 26:17
  most
• 26:18
  out
• 26:18
  of
• 26:18
  that
• 26:18
  space
• 26:18
  where
• 26:19
  people
• 26:19
  started
• 26:19
  to
• 26:19
  really
• 26:20
  rethink
• 26:21
  about
• 26:22
  what
• 26:22
  went
• 26:22
  into
• 26:22
  that
• 26:22
  cabinetry.
• 26:23
  And
• 26:24
  you're
• 26:24
  right.
• 26:24
  From
• 26:25
  family
• 26:25
  room
• 26:26
  entertainment
• 26:26
  areas
• 26:27
  to
• 26:27
  media
• 26:27
  rooms,
• 26:28
  to
• 26:29
  that
• 26:29
  luxury
• 26:30
  closet
• 26:30
  system,
• 26:31
  which
• 26:31
  half
• 26:32
  the
• 26:32
  time
• 26:32
  in
• 26:32
  many
• 26:32
  of
• 26:33
  these
• 26:33
  big
• 26:33
  homes
• 26:33
  have
• 26:33
  better
• 26:34
  cabinetry
• 26:34
  than
• 26:34
  what's
• 26:35
  in
• 26:35
  the
• 26:35
  kitchen.
• 26:36
  Right?
• 26:37
  Yeah.
• 26:38
  So
• 26:38
  we
• 26:39
  cover
• 26:39
  the
• 26:39
  whole
• 26:39
  house
• 26:40
  wherever
• 26:40
  you
• 26:40
  want.
• 26:40
  Cabinets,
• 26:41
  even
• 26:41
  do
• 26:41
  the
• 26:42
  garage.
• 26:42
  We
• 26:42
  do
• 26:43
  cabins
• 26:43
  in
• 26:43
  the
• 26:43
  garage,
• 26:45
  the
• 26:46
  basement,
• 26:46
  the
• 26:47
  laundry,
• 26:48
  the
• 26:48
  bathrooms,
• 26:50
  the
• 26:50
  entertainment
• 26:51
  centers,
• 26:51
  office,
• 26:54
  everywhere.
• 26:55
  You
• 26:56
  can
• 26:56
  see
• 26:56
  it
• 26:56
  on
• 26:56
  our
• 26:56
  website.
• 26:57
  We
• 26:57
  have
• 26:58
  pretty
• 26:58
  well
• 26:59
  everything
• 26:59
  going
• 26:59
  there.
• 27:01
  That
• 27:01
  is
• 27:02
  awesome.
• 27:02
  Yeah.
• 27:02
  And
• 27:03
  you
• 27:03
  guys
• 27:03
  have
• 27:03
  really.
• 27:04
  I
• 27:04
  was
• 27:04
  really
• 27:04
  impressed
• 27:05
  out
• 27:05
  there
• 27:05
  with,
• 27:06
  with
• 27:06
  the
• 27:06
  thought
• 27:07
  that
• 27:07
  you
• 27:07
  guys
• 27:07
  have
• 27:07
  put
• 27:07
  into
• 27:08
  the
• 27:08
  cabinetry.
• 27:08
  And
• 27:08
  I
• 27:09
  just
• 27:09
  noticed
• 27:10
  like
• 27:10
  building
• 27:10
  your
• 27:11
  doors
• 27:11
  and
• 27:11
  things
• 27:12
  like
• 27:12
  that.
• 27:12
  The,
• 27:12
  the
• 27:13
  attention
• 27:13
  to
• 27:14
  detail
• 27:14
  that
• 27:14
  you
• 27:15
  guys
• 27:15
  do
• 27:15
  on
• 27:15
  your
• 27:15
  stuff.
• 27:16
  It.
• 27:17
  There's
• 27:18
  a
• 27:18
  lot
• 27:18
  of
• 27:18
  companies
• 27:18
  I've
• 27:19
  been
• 27:19
  through,
• 27:19
  I've
• 27:19
  been
• 27:19
  through
• 27:20
  probably
• 27:20
  30
• 27:21
  or
• 27:21
  40
• 27:21
  different
• 27:22
  cabinet
• 27:22
  manufacturers
• 27:23
  and
• 27:24
  it
• 27:24
  still
• 27:24
  sticks
• 27:24
  into
• 27:25
  my
• 27:25
  head
• 27:25
  the
• 27:26
  little
• 27:26
  details
• 27:27
  to
• 27:27
  make
• 27:27
  sure
• 27:27
  that
• 27:27
  the,
• 27:28
  the
• 27:28
  doors
• 27:29
  can
• 27:29
  expand
• 27:30
  and
• 27:30
  contract
• 27:30
  correctly.
• 27:31
  And
• 27:32
  just
• 27:32
  all
• 27:32
  the
• 27:33
  thought
• 27:33
  that
• 27:33
  went
• 27:33
  into
• 27:34
  building
• 27:35
  these
• 27:35
  to
• 27:35
  be
• 27:36
  something
• 27:36
  that's
• 27:37
  going
• 27:37
  to
• 27:37
  live
• 27:37
  a
• 27:38
  long
• 27:38
  life
• 27:38
  in
• 27:38
  your
• 27:38
  home.
• 27:39
  And
• 27:39
  that
• 27:40
  to
• 27:40
  me
• 27:40
  is
• 27:40
  Kind
• 27:40
  of
• 27:40
  the
• 27:40
  ultimate
• 27:41
  of
• 27:41
  a
• 27:41
  green
• 27:42
  cabinetry
• 27:43
  is
• 27:43
  that
• 27:43
  you
• 27:44
  build
• 27:44
  something
• 27:44
  that's
• 27:45
  going
• 27:45
  to
• 27:45
  hold
• 27:45
  up
• 27:45
  through
• 27:46
  generations,
• 27:46
  that
• 27:48
  someone's
• 27:49
  going
• 27:49
  to
• 27:49
  get
• 27:49
  tired
• 27:49
  of
• 27:49
  the
• 27:49
  look
• 27:50
  of
• 27:50
  it
• 27:50
  before
• 27:50
  it
• 27:50
  actually
• 27:51
  fails.
• 27:52
  Yeah,
• 27:53
  you
• 27:54
  won't
• 27:54
  wear
• 27:54
  it
• 27:54
  out
• 27:55
  in
• 27:55
  your
• 27:55
  lifetime.
• 27:56
  The
• 27:56
  only
• 27:56
  reason
• 27:57
  people
• 27:57
  change
• 27:57
  them
• 27:58
  is
• 27:58
  because
• 27:58
  they
• 27:58
  get
• 27:58
  tired
• 27:59
  of
• 27:59
  the
• 27:59
  color
• 27:59
  or
• 28:00
  style.
• 28:02
  Yeah,
• 28:02
  yeah.
• 28:03
  There's
• 28:03
  a
• 28:03
  lot
• 28:03
  of
• 28:04
  detail
• 28:04
  goes
• 28:04
  into
• 28:05
  building
• 28:06
  a
• 28:06
  custom
• 28:06
  cabinet.
• 28:07
  Another
• 28:07
  thing
• 28:08
  we
• 28:08
  do
• 28:09
  to
• 28:10
  make
• 28:10
  sure
• 28:10
  your
• 28:10
  cabinets
• 28:11
  get
• 28:11
  delivered
• 28:12
  on
• 28:12
  time,
• 28:13
  complete
• 28:13
  with
• 28:13
  good
• 28:14
  quality,
• 28:15
  we
• 28:15
  schedule
• 28:16
  our
• 28:16
  kitchen
• 28:16
  to
• 28:16
  go
• 28:17
  into
• 28:17
  the
• 28:18
  shipping
• 28:18
  room
• 28:18
  in
• 28:19
  the
• 28:19
  warehouse
• 28:19
  for
• 28:20
  inspection
• 28:21
  one
• 28:21
  week
• 28:22
  before
• 28:22
  delivery.
• 28:23
  So
• 28:23
  we
• 28:23
  set
• 28:24
  the
• 28:24
  whole
• 28:24
  kitchen
• 28:24
  up
• 28:25
  just
• 28:25
  the
• 28:25
  way
• 28:25
  it
• 28:25
  goes
• 28:26
  in
• 28:26
  your
• 28:26
  room.
• 28:27
  Inspect
• 28:27
  everything,
• 28:28
  every
• 28:29
  detail,
• 28:29
  make
• 28:30
  sure
• 28:30
  every
• 28:30
  door
• 28:31
  fits
• 28:31
  properly,
• 28:31
  every
• 28:32
  drawer
• 28:32
  and
• 28:33
  all
• 28:33
  the
• 28:34
  finish
• 28:34
  is
• 28:35
  good.
• 28:35
  So
• 28:36
  make
• 28:36
  sure
• 28:36
  that
• 28:37
  when
• 28:37
  it
• 28:37
  gets
• 28:37
  delivered,
• 28:38
  it's
• 28:38
  going
• 28:38
  to
• 28:38
  be
• 28:38
  what
• 28:38
  you
• 28:39
  want.
• 28:40
  You
• 28:40
  know,
• 28:41
  Elvin,
• 28:42
  that
• 28:42
  is
• 28:42
  one
• 28:42
  of
• 28:43
  the
• 28:43
  most
• 28:43
  important
• 28:44
  things
• 28:44
  that
• 28:44
  I
• 28:44
  have
• 28:45
  seen
• 28:45
  in
• 28:45
  a
• 28:46
  manufacturer.
• 28:46
  And
• 28:46
  I
• 28:46
  think
• 28:47
  you
• 28:47
  were
• 28:47
  the
• 28:47
  first
• 28:47
  company
• 28:48
  I
• 28:48
  saw
• 28:48
  do
• 28:49
  that
• 28:49
  to
• 28:50
  that
• 28:50
  extent
• 28:51
  going
• 28:51
  around
• 28:52
  through
• 28:52
  cabinet
• 28:52
  plan
• 28:53
  places
• 28:53
  because
• 28:54
  so
• 28:54
  many
• 28:55
  times
• 28:56
  the
• 28:56
  final
• 28:56
  assembly
• 28:57
  crew
• 28:58
  that
• 28:58
  is
• 28:58
  at
• 28:58
  the
• 28:59
  end
• 28:59
  of
• 28:59
  the
• 28:59
  line
• 29:00
  is
• 29:00
  trying
• 29:00
  to
• 29:01
  keep
• 29:01
  up
• 29:01
  with
• 29:01
  pace.
• 29:02
  They
• 29:02
  have
• 29:02
  a
• 29:02
  schedule
• 29:03
  to
• 29:03
  meet.
• 29:04
  But
• 29:04
  by
• 29:05
  doing
• 29:05
  that,
• 29:05
  you
• 29:05
  catch
• 29:06
  the
• 29:06
  mistakes.
• 29:07
  I
• 29:07
  mean,
• 29:07
  I
• 29:08
  have
• 29:08
  ordered.
• 29:08
  I'm
• 29:09
  not
• 29:09
  going
• 29:09
  to
• 29:09
  say
• 29:09
  anything
• 29:10
  bad
• 29:10
  about
• 29:10
  your
• 29:11
  competitors
• 29:11
  out
• 29:12
  there,
• 29:12
  but
• 29:12
  many
• 29:13
  times
• 29:13
  I,
• 29:13
  as
• 29:14
  a
• 29:14
  designer
• 29:15
  and
• 29:15
  as
• 29:15
  a
• 29:15
  kitchen
• 29:16
  cabinet
• 29:16
  dealer
• 29:17
  owner,
• 29:17
  had
• 29:17
  ordered
• 29:18
  cabinetry
• 29:19
  and
• 29:20
  I
• 29:20
  had
• 29:20
  ordered
• 29:21
  24
• 29:21
  inch

• 29:26
  it
• 29:26
  was
• 29:26
  on
• 29:26
  the
• 29:27

• 29:28
  and
• 29:29
  they
• 29:29
  were
• 29:29
  for
• 29:29
  an
• 29:30

• 29:37
  if

• 29:38
  would
• 29:38
  have
• 29:38
  actually

• 29:40
  would

  have

  this
• 29:41
  doesn't
• 29:42
  make
• 29:42
  any
• 29:42
  sense.
• 29:42
  We
• 29:43
  better
• 29:43
  look
• 29:43
  at
• 29:43
  the
• 29:43
  paperwork.
• 29:45
  A
• 29:45
  lot
• 29:45
  of
• 29:45
  headaches
• 29:46
  can
• 29:46
  get
• 29:46
  solved
• 29:47
  right
• 29:47
  then
• 29:48
  before
• 29:49
  it
• 29:49
  leaves
• 29:49
  the
• 29:49
  factory.
• 29:50
  Right.
• 29:51
  It's
• 29:52
  so
• 29:52
  important
• 29:52
  to
• 29:53
  do
• 29:53
  a
• 29:53
  thorough
• 29:54
  inspection
• 29:55
  to
• 29:55
  be
• 29:55
  sure
• 29:55
  that
• 29:56
  you
• 29:56
  get
• 29:56
  what
• 29:56
  you
• 29:56
  ordered.
• 29:57
  And
• 29:58
  our
• 29:59
  motto
• 29:59
  is
• 30:00
  here,
• 30:00
  the
• 30:01
  golden
• 30:01
  rule.
• 30:01
  Treat
• 30:02
  people
• 30:02
  the
• 30:02
  way
• 30:02
  you
• 30:03
  want
• 30:03
  to
• 30:03
  be
• 30:03
  treated.
• 30:04
  Do
• 30:04
  it
• 30:04
  right,
• 30:05
  do
• 30:05
  it
• 30:05
  right
• 30:05
  the
• 30:06
  first
• 30:06
  time.
• 30:07
  And
• 30:08
  for
• 30:08
  our
• 30:09
  listeners
• 30:10
  out
• 30:10
  there,
• 30:10
  this
• 30:10
  is
• 30:11
  one
• 30:11
  of
• 30:11
  the
• 30:11
  most
• 30:11
  important
• 30:11
  things,
• 30:12
  things
• 30:12
  when
• 30:12
  I
• 30:12
  see
• 30:12
  this,
• 30:13
  because
• 30:13
  I
• 30:14
  tell
• 30:14
  you
• 30:14
  what,
• 30:14
  there
• 30:15
  are
• 30:15
  other
• 30:16
  manufacturers
• 30:17
  out
• 30:17
  there
• 30:17
  that
• 30:17
  lean
• 30:18
  on
• 30:18
  their
• 30:18
  customer
• 30:18
  service
• 30:19

• 30:20
  afterwards
• 30:20
  that,
• 30:21
  well,
• 30:22
  we'll
• 30:22
  just
• 30:22
  get
• 30:22
  it
• 30:22
  fixed,
• 30:23
  maybe
• 30:23
  they'll
• 30:23
  catch
• 30:24
  it,
• 30:24
  they'll
• 30:24
  ship
• 30:24
  it,
• 30:24
  they'll
• 30:25
  send
• 30:25
  out
• 30:25
  parts
• 30:25
  the
• 30:26
  next
• 30:26
  week.
• 30:27
  But
• 30:27
  what
• 30:27
  you
• 30:28
  guys
• 30:28
  do
• 30:28
  is
• 30:28
  so
• 30:29
  innovative
• 30:29
  to
• 30:30
  most
• 30:30
  cabinet
• 30:31
  manufacturers
• 30:31
  out

• 30:32
  It
• 30:33

• 30:33
  makes
• 30:33
  that
• 30:34

• 30:34

• 30:35
  and
• 30:36

• 30:37
  from
• 30:37

• 30:40
  that
• 30:40
  comes
• 30:40

• 30:40
  into

• 33:04
  Now
• 33:04
  let's
• 33:04
  get
• 33:04
  back
• 33:04
  to
• 33:05
  the
• 33:05
  conversation.
• 33:05
  Yeah,
• 33:06
  we
• 33:06
  had
• 33:06
  our
• 33:06
  challenges.
• 33:07
  People
• 33:07
  order
• 33:07
  things
• 33:08
  that
• 33:08
  you
• 33:08
  wonder
• 33:09
  if
• 33:09
  you
• 33:09
  can
• 33:09
  build.
• 33:09
  But
• 33:10
  we
• 33:11
  are
• 33:11
  blessed
• 33:11
  with
• 33:12
  many
• 33:12
  good
• 33:12
  craftsmen
• 33:13
  here
• 33:13
  now
• 33:13
  that
• 33:14
  build
• 33:15
  most
• 33:15
  everything
• 33:16
  that
• 33:16
  people
• 33:16
  want.
• 33:17
  There's
• 33:17
  very
• 33:17
  few
• 33:18
  times
• 33:18
  that
• 33:18
  we
• 33:18
  will
• 33:19
  turn
• 33:19
  down
• 33:19
  an
• 33:19
  order
• 33:20
  because
• 33:20
  we
• 33:20
  don't
• 33:21
  know
• 33:21
  how
• 33:21
  to
• 33:21
  do
• 33:21
  it.
• 33:21
  So,
• 33:23
  yeah,
• 33:23
  there
• 33:23
  is
• 33:24
  challenging
• 33:24
  times.
• 33:25
  But
• 33:25
  oh,
• 33:26
  yeah,
• 33:27
  we,
• 33:27
  we,
• 33:28
  we
• 33:28
  figure
• 33:28
  it
• 33:28
  out.
• 33:29
  We
• 33:29
  get
• 33:29
  it
• 33:29
  done.
• 33:31
  Yeah.
• 33:31
  One
• 33:31
  of
• 33:31
  the
• 33:32
  things
• 33:32
  that
• 33:32
  have
• 33:32
  always
• 33:32
  been
• 33:33
  one
• 33:33
  of
• 33:33
  my
• 33:33
  Achilles
• 33:34

• 33:34
  with
• 33:34

• 33:35
  that
• 33:35
  I've
• 33:35
  always
• 33:35
  worked
• 33:36
  with
• 33:36
  are
• 33:36
  those
• 33:36
  wood
• 33:36
  hoods,
• 33:37
  you
• 33:38
  know?
• 33:38
  Yeah.
• 33:38
  And
• 33:38
  the
• 33:39
  challenges
• 33:39
  that
• 33:39
  can
• 33:39
  go
• 33:40
  with
• 33:40
  those,
• 33:40
  from
• 33:41
  making
• 33:41
  sure
• 33:41
  that
• 33:42
  it
• 33:42
  meets
• 33:42
  fire
• 33:42

• 33:43
  where
• 33:43
  it
• 33:43
  extends
• 33:44
  over
• 33:44
  the
• 33:44
  cooktop
• 33:44
  to.
• 33:45
  Can
• 33:45
  you
• 33:46
  actually
• 33:46
  get
• 33:46
  it
• 33:46
  in
• 33:46
  there?
• 33:47
  We,
• 33:48
  we
• 33:48
  make
• 33:48
  a
• 33:48
  lot
• 33:48
  of
• 33:49
  wood.
• 33:49
  A
• 33:49
  lot
• 33:49
  of
• 33:49
  wood
• 33:50
  hoods.
• 33:52
  Yep.
• 33:53
  Sweep
• 33:53
  hoods,
• 33:54
  sweep.
• 33:55
  Front
• 33:55
  sweep,
• 33:55
  side
• 33:56
  sweep
• 33:56
  and
• 33:57
  three.
• 33:58
  Three
• 33:58
  sided.
• 33:59
  Yeah,
• 33:59
  that
• 34:00
  is,
• 34:00
  that
• 34:00
  is
• 34:01
  great.
• 34:02
  To
• 34:02
  be
• 34:02
  a
• 34:02
  popular
• 34:03
  thing
• 34:03
  is
• 34:03
  wood
• 34:04
  hoods.
• 34:05
  Yeah.
• 34:05
  One
• 34:05
  of
• 34:05
  the
• 34:05
  things
• 34:06
  that
• 34:06
  I
• 34:06
  did,
• 34:07
  I
• 34:07
  think
• 34:07
  my
• 34:07
  biggest
• 34:08
  wood
• 34:08
  hood
• 34:08
  that
• 34:08
  I
• 34:08
  had
• 34:09
  ordered
• 34:09
  for
• 34:09
  a
• 34:09
  client
• 34:11
  in
• 34:12
  my
• 34:12
  30,
• 34:13
  almost
• 34:13
  35
• 34:14
  years
• 34:14
  of
• 34:14
  design
• 34:14
  was
• 34:16
  this
• 34:16
  homeowner
• 34:17
  had
• 34:17
  a
• 34:18
  14
• 34:19
  foot
• 34:20
  long
• 34:20
  run
• 34:21
  of
• 34:21
  a
• 34:21
  hood
• 34:22
  because
• 34:22
  she
• 34:22
  had
• 34:23
  a
• 34:23
  pizza
• 34:23
  14ft
• 34:25
  and
• 34:25
  it
• 34:25
  was
• 34:26
  crazy
• 34:26
  to
• 34:27
  build.
• 34:27
  So
• 34:28
  we
• 34:28
  ended
• 34:28
  up
• 34:28
  building
• 34:28
  it
• 34:28
  locally
• 34:29
  because
• 34:29
  shipping
• 34:30
  it
• 34:30
  was
• 34:30
  never
• 34:30
  going
• 34:30
  to
• 34:31
  be
• 34:31
  something
• 34:31
  that
• 34:31
  was
• 34:32
  going
• 34:32
  to
• 34:32
  be
• 34:32
  capable
• 34:33
  without
• 34:33
  having
• 34:33
  to
• 34:34
  rent
• 34:34
  a
• 34:34
  whole
• 34:34
  truck
• 34:34
  out
• 34:35
  and
• 34:35
  ship
• 34:35
  it,
• 34:35
  you
• 34:35
  know,
• 34:36
  just
• 34:36
  getting
• 34:36
  it
• 34:36
  out
• 34:36
  there.
• 34:37
  But
• 34:37
  we
• 34:37
  built
• 34:38
  a
• 34:38
  14
• 34:39
  foot
• 34:39
  long
• 34:39
  hood
• 34:40
  because
• 34:40
  she
• 34:40
  had
• 34:40
  a,
• 34:42
  like
• 34:42
  a
• 34:42
  7
• 34:43
  or
• 34:43
  8
• 34:43
  foot
• 34:45
  French
• 34:45
  range,
• 34:46
  a
• 34:46
  pizza
• 34:47
  oven
• 34:47
  that
• 34:47
  was
• 34:47
  in
• 34:47
  there,
• 34:48
  that
• 34:48
  was
• 34:48
  underneath
• 34:49
  it.
• 34:49
  And
• 34:49
  it
• 34:50
  was
• 34:50
  really
• 34:50
  a
• 34:50
  commercial
• 34:51
  hood
• 34:51
  that
• 34:51
  we
• 34:51
  were
• 34:52
  hiding
• 34:53
  under,
• 34:54
  you
• 34:54
  know,
• 34:54
  residential
• 34:55
  woodwork.
• 34:56
  But
• 34:57
  she
• 34:58
  first
• 34:58
  wanted
• 34:58
  ordered.
• 34:59
  And
• 34:59
  I
• 34:59
  was
• 34:59
  like,
• 35:00
  we
• 35:00
  have
• 35:00
  to
• 35:00
  build
• 35:00
  this
• 35:01
  here
• 35:02
  locally
• 35:03
  because
• 35:03
  it's
• 35:03
  going
• 35:04
  to
• 35:04
  cost
• 35:04
  you
• 35:05
  tens
• 35:06
  of
• 35:06
  thousands
• 35:06
  of
• 35:06
  dollars
• 35:07
  just
• 35:07
  to
• 35:07
  try
• 35:07
  to
• 35:07
  ship
• 35:08
  it
• 35:08
  across
• 35:08
  the
• 35:08
  country
• 35:08
  on
• 35:09
  a
• 35:09
  semi
• 35:09
  truck.
• 35:10
  So
• 35:10
  you
• 35:10
  made
• 35:11
  a
• 35:11
  wood
• 35:11
  hood
• 35:11
  14
• 35:12
  foot
• 35:12
  long?
• 35:13
  Yes,
• 35:13
  we
• 35:13
  did.
• 35:13
  Wow.
• 35:15
  We
• 35:16
  had
• 35:16
  craftsmen,
• 35:17
  we
• 35:17
  had,
• 35:18
  you
• 35:18
  know,
• 35:18
  the.
• 35:20
  It
• 35:20
  was
• 35:20
  a
• 35:20
  nightmare,
• 35:21
  you
• 35:21
  know,
• 35:22
  trying
• 35:22
  to
• 35:22
  get
• 35:22
  the
• 35:22
  hood
• 35:23
  to
• 35:23
  work
• 35:23
  correctly
• 35:23
  and
• 35:24
  to
• 35:24
  put.
• 35:24
  We
• 35:25
  really
• 35:25
  basically
• 35:25
  had
• 35:25
  to
• 35:26
  get
• 35:26
  with
• 35:26
  a
• 35:26
  commercial
• 35:26
  hood
• 35:27
  manufacturer
• 35:27
  and
• 35:28
  then
• 35:28
  build
• 35:28
  us
• 35:29
  around,
• 35:29
  around
• 35:29
  the
• 35:30
  hood
• 35:30
  that
• 35:30
  they
• 35:30
  had
• 35:30
  to
• 35:30
  build
• 35:31
  around
• 35:31
  the
• 35:32
  line.
• 35:32
  That's.
• 35:33
  That's
• 35:33
  too
• 35:33
  long.
• 35:33
  We'd
• 35:34
  probably
• 35:34
  say
• 35:34
  no
• 35:35
  to
• 35:35
  that.
• 35:35
  We'd
• 35:35
  probably
• 35:35
  make
• 35:36
  it
• 35:36
  in
• 35:36
  two
• 35:36
  sections.
• 35:37
  Make
• 35:37
  two
• 35:37
  seven
• 35:37
  foot
• 35:38
  hoods
• 35:38
  instead
• 35:39
  of
• 35:39
  114.
• 35:40
  Yeah,
• 35:41
  well,
• 35:41
  she
• 35:41
  wanted
• 35:41
  a
• 35:41
  14
• 35:42
  foot
• 35:42
  arch.
• 35:43
  So
• 35:44
  it
• 35:44
  was
• 35:44
  not
• 35:45
  easy.
• 35:45
  It
• 35:45
  was
• 35:45
  not
• 35:46
  easy.
• 35:46
  I'm
• 35:47
  sure
• 35:47
  we
• 35:48
  said
• 35:48
  yes
• 35:48
  when
• 35:48
  we
• 35:49
  should
• 35:49
  have
• 35:49
  said
• 35:49
  no.
• 35:49
  So
• 35:50
  those
• 35:50
  are
• 35:50
  those
• 35:50
  lessons
• 35:50
  you'll
• 35:51
  hear,
• 35:51
  right?
• 35:53
  We've
• 35:53
  had
• 35:53
  plenty
• 35:54
  of
• 35:54
  those.
• 35:54
  We've
• 35:55
  had
• 35:55
  plenty
• 35:55
  of
• 35:55
  those.
• 35:56
  You
• 35:56
  know,
• 35:56
  the
• 35:56
  other
• 35:57
  thing
• 35:57
  is,
• 35:57
  I
• 35:57
  don't
• 35:57
  know
• 35:57
  if
• 35:57
  you're
• 35:58
  seeing
• 35:58
  that
• 35:58
  out
• 35:58
  here,
• 35:58
  but
• 35:59
  out
• 35:59
  here
• 35:59
  on
• 35:59
  the
• 35:59
  west
• 36:00
  coast,
• 36:00
  we're
• 36:00
  seeing
• 36:01
  a
• 36:01
  lot
• 36:01
  more
• 36:02
  of
• 36:02
  the
• 36:02
  waterborne
• 36:03
  finishes
• 36:03
  just
• 36:04
  to
• 36:04
  be
• 36:04
  able
• 36:04
  to
• 36:04
  meet
• 36:05
  our
• 36:05
  state
• 36:06
  regulations
• 36:07
  on,
• 36:08
  you
• 36:08
  know,
• 36:08
  what's
• 36:09
  coming
• 36:09
  out
• 36:09
  of
• 36:09
  the
• 36:09
  finish
• 36:10
  room.
• 36:10
  Are
• 36:10
  you
• 36:10
  guys
• 36:11
  dealing
• 36:11
  with
• 36:11
  that
• 36:11
  out
• 36:11
  there
• 36:12
  as
• 36:12
  well?
• 36:13
  Yeah,
• 36:13
  we
• 36:14
  just
• 36:14
  recently,
• 36:14
  the
• 36:15
  last
• 36:15
  couple
• 36:15
  years
• 36:16
  switched
• 36:16
  to
• 36:16
  all
• 36:16
  polyurethane
• 36:17
  finishes.
• 36:19
  So
• 36:20
  we
• 36:20
  have
• 36:20
  a
• 36:20
  very
• 36:20
  good
• 36:21
  finish,
• 36:22
  very
• 36:22
  high
• 36:22
  quality.
• 36:24
  That
• 36:24
  is
• 36:25
  my
• 36:25
  favorite
• 36:25
  finish
• 36:26
  of
• 36:26
  2025.
• 36:27
  Is
• 36:27
  that
• 36:27
  polyurethane?
• 36:28
  It
• 36:29
  is
• 36:30
  so
• 36:30
  much
• 36:30
  better.
• 36:31
  Get
• 36:32
  it
• 36:32
  from
• 36:32
  Sherwin
• 36:32
  Williams.
• 36:33
  Sherwin
• 36:34
  Williams
• 36:34
  makes
• 36:34
  it.
• 36:35
  Yeah.
• 36:35
  That
• 36:35
  is
• 36:36
  the
• 36:36
  only
• 36:36
  right
• 36:36
  answer
• 36:37
  right
• 36:37
  there,
• 36:37
  my
• 36:37
  friend.
• 36:38
  That
• 36:38
  is
• 36:38
  the
• 36:39
  beautiful
• 36:39
  Stu.
• 36:40
  That
• 36:40
  is.
• 36:41
  It's
• 36:41
  kind
• 36:41
  of
• 36:41
  the
• 36:41
  best
• 36:42
  of
• 36:42
  all
• 36:42
  worlds.
• 36:42
  You
• 36:43
  get
• 36:43
  that
• 36:43
  really
• 36:43
  clear
• 36:44
  clarity
• 36:45
  that
• 36:46
  doesn't
• 36:46
  look
• 36:47
  like
• 36:47
  plastic,
• 36:48
  but
• 36:48
  it
• 36:49
  has
• 36:49
  that
• 36:49
  durability
• 36:49
  that
• 36:50
  combines
• 36:50
  with
• 36:50
  it.
• 36:51
  It's
• 36:51
  a
• 36:51
  good,
• 36:52
  it's
• 36:52
  a
• 36:52
  good
• 36:52
  finish.
• 36:54
  It's
• 36:55
  just
• 36:55
  absolutely
• 36:56
  beautiful.
• 36:57
  Are
• 36:57
  there
• 36:57
  other
• 36:57
  things
• 36:57
  that
• 36:58
  kind
• 36:58
  of
• 36:58
  surprise
• 36:58
  you
• 36:59
  that
• 36:59
  you
• 36:59
  see
• 36:59
  out
• 36:59
  there
• 37:00
  that
• 37:01
  have
• 37:01
  really
• 37:01
  changed
• 37:02
  in
• 37:02
  the
• 37:02
  cabin
• 37:02
  industry
• 37:03
  over
• 37:03
  the
• 37:03
  last
• 37:03
  few
• 37:03
  years?
• 37:04
  And
• 37:04
  I
• 37:05
  know
• 37:06
  you're
• 37:06
  a
• 37:07
  lucky
• 37:07
  one
• 37:07
  to
• 37:07
  be
• 37:07
  able
• 37:07
  to
• 37:08
  watch
• 37:08
  from
• 37:08
  a
• 37:08
  little
• 37:08
  of
• 37:08
  the
• 37:09
  outside
• 37:09
  and
• 37:09
  not
• 37:09
  having
• 37:10
  to
• 37:10
  be
• 37:10
  on
• 37:11
  the,
• 37:11
  on
• 37:11
  the
• 37:11
  shop
• 37:12
  floor
• 37:12
  managing
• 37:13
  that
• 37:13
  every
• 37:13
  day?
• 37:13
  But
• 37:15
  I
• 37:15
  tell
• 37:15
  you
• 37:15
  what,
• 37:15
  I
• 37:16
  love
• 37:16
  the
• 37:16
  kitchen
• 37:16
  and
• 37:17
  bath
• 37:17
  industry.
• 37:17
  But
• 37:18
  when
• 37:18
  I
• 37:18
  hung
• 37:19
  my
• 37:19
  hat
• 37:19
  up
• 37:19
  on
• 37:19
  the
• 37:20
  design
• 37:20
  stuff
• 37:20
  and
• 37:21
  not
• 37:21
  waking
• 37:22
  up
• 37:22
  at
• 37:22
  2
• 37:22
  o'
• 37:23
  clock
• 37:23
  in
• 37:23
  the
• 37:23
  morning
• 37:23
  wondering
• 37:24
  if
• 37:24
  I
• 37:24
  ordered
• 37:24
  the
• 37:24
  crown
• 37:25
  molding
• 37:25
  for
• 37:25
  a
• 37:25
  project,
• 37:26
  it's
• 37:26
  nice,
• 37:27
  but
• 37:27
  you
• 37:28
  have
• 37:28
  seen
• 37:28
  so
• 37:28
  much
• 37:29
  what's
• 37:29
  new
• 37:29
  out
• 37:29
  there
• 37:30
  that
• 37:30
  kind
• 37:30
  of
• 37:30
  makes
• 37:30
  you
• 37:31
  go,
• 37:31
  wow,
• 37:31
  we
• 37:32
  sure
• 37:32
  never
• 37:32
  had
• 37:32
  that
• 37:32
  before.
• 37:35
  Yeah,
• 37:35
  well,
• 37:35
  I
• 37:36
  don't
• 37:36
  know.
• 37:36
  Like
• 37:37
  I
• 37:37
  said,
• 37:37
  I'm.
• 37:38
  I
• 37:38
  don't
• 37:38
  know
• 37:39
  of
• 37:39
  anything
• 37:39
  that
• 37:40
  they,
• 37:42
  that's
• 37:42
  that
• 37:43
  new
• 37:43
  that
• 37:43
  they
• 37:43
  can
• 37:43
  do.
• 37:44
  But
• 37:44
  I
• 37:44
  know
• 37:44
  they're
• 37:45
  always
• 37:45
  dealing
• 37:45
  with
• 37:45
  new
• 37:46
  materials
• 37:46
  and
• 37:47
  new
• 37:47
  lemonade.
• 37:48
  Some
• 37:48
  people
• 37:48
  want
• 37:49
  high
• 37:49
  gloss
• 37:50
  lemonade
• 37:51
  cabinets
• 37:51
  and,
• 37:53
  and
• 37:54
  different
• 37:54
  woods.
• 37:55
  They
• 37:55
  want
• 37:56
  this
• 37:56
  a
• 37:56
  lot
• 37:56
  of
• 37:59
  quarter
• 37:59
  saw
• 38:00
  and
• 38:00
  oak.
• 38:00
  That's
• 38:01
  very
• 38:01
  popular
• 38:02
  noun.
• 38:03
  White
• 38:03
  oak,
• 38:04
  quartz
• 38:04
  on
• 38:05
  quiet
• 38:05
  oak.
• 38:07
  So
• 38:08
  yeah,
• 38:08
  the
• 38:08
  white
• 38:09
  oak
• 38:09
  and
• 38:09
  the
• 38:09
  walnuts
• 38:10
  are
• 38:10
  sure
• 38:10
  hot
• 38:10
  it
• 38:11
  seems
• 38:11
  right
• 38:11
  now.
• 38:12
  You
• 38:12
  know
• 38:12
  what
• 38:12
  I
• 38:12
  mean?
• 38:12
  Where,
• 38:13
  you
• 38:14
  know,
• 38:14
  that
• 38:14
  was
• 38:14
  not
• 38:15
  used
• 38:15

  25
• 38:17
  or
• 38:17
  30
• 38:17
  years
• 38:17
  for
• 38:17
  many
• 38:18
  people.
• 38:18
  It
• 38:18
  wasn't
• 38:18
  one
• 38:19
  of
• 38:19
  the
• 38:19
  in
• 38:19
  ones.
• 38:19
  That's
• 38:20
  when
• 38:20
  we
• 38:20
  had
• 38:20
  the,
• 38:21
  the
• 38:21
  maple
• 38:21
  and
• 38:22
  the
• 38:22
  alders
• 38:22
  and
• 38:23
  maybe
• 38:23
  some
• 38:24
  fur
• 38:24
  and
• 38:24
  things
• 38:24
  like
• 38:25
  that.
• 38:25
  But
• 38:26
  yeah,
• 38:26
  that
• 38:26
  quarter
• 38:27
  sawn
• 38:27
  white
• 38:27
  oak
• 38:28
  and
• 38:28
  in
• 38:28
  the
• 38:28
  light
• 38:29
  stains
• 38:29
  have
• 38:30
  been
• 38:31
  just
• 38:31
  tearing
• 38:32
  it
• 38:32
  up
• 38:32
  across
• 38:33
  the
• 38:33
  industry
• 38:33
  it
• 38:33
  seems.
• 38:34
  Yeah.
• 38:34
  And
• 38:34
  wal,
• 38:35
  like
• 38:35
  you
• 38:35
  said,
• 38:35
  walnut.
• 38:36
  We're
• 38:36
  doing
• 38:36
  quite
• 38:36
  a
• 38:36
  bit
• 38:37
  of
• 38:37
  walnut
• 38:37
  too.
• 38:39
  Yep.
• 38:39
  It's,
• 38:40
  it's.
• 38:40
  That
• 38:40
  stuff
• 38:41
  of
• 38:41
  the
• 38:41
  70s
• 38:41
  and
• 38:42
  60s
• 38:42
  has
• 38:42
  come
• 38:43
  back
• 38:43
  again.
• 38:44
  Yeah,
• 38:44
  I
• 38:44
  know.
• 38:45
  Yep.
• 38:46
  There's
• 38:46
  more
• 38:46
  stains
• 38:47
  coming
• 38:47
  back
• 38:47
  again
• 38:48
  too.
• 38:51
  Instead
• 38:51
  of
• 38:51

• 38:52

• 38:54
  Yeah,
• 38:55
  it's,
• 38:55
  it's
• 38:56
  interesting.
• 38:56
  And
• 38:56
  are
• 38:57
  you
• 38:57
  guys
• 38:57
  still
• 38:57
  doing.
• 38:58
  When
• 38:58
  it
• 38:58
  comes
• 38:58
  to
• 38:58
  the
• 38:58
  finish
• 38:59
  shop,
• 38:59
  are
• 38:59
  you
• 38:59
  doing
• 38:59
  more
• 39:00
  spray
• 39:00
  stains
• 39:00
  or
• 39:01
  are
• 39:01
  you
• 39:01
  kind
• 39:01
  of
• 39:01
  doing
• 39:01
  a
• 39:02
  mixture
• 39:02
  depending
• 39:02
  on
• 39:02
  what
• 39:02
  the
• 39:03
  color
• 39:03
  is?
• 39:04
  No,
• 39:05
  it's
• 39:05
  all
• 39:05
  the
• 39:05
  stains
• 39:06
  are
• 39:06
  all
• 39:06
  wiping
• 39:07
  stains.
• 39:07
  Are
• 39:07
  they
• 39:07
  cool?
• 39:08
  Yep.
• 39:09
  Hand
• 39:10
  rubbed
• 39:10
  oil
• 39:10
  stain.
• 39:11
  Nice.
• 39:13
  That
• 39:13
  is
• 39:13
  something
• 39:13
  that
• 39:13
  I
• 39:14
  really
• 39:14
  like.
• 39:14
  There's
• 39:15
  some
• 39:15
  companies
• 39:15
  that
• 39:15
  have,
• 39:17
  shall
• 39:17
  we
• 39:17
  say,
• 39:18
  gotten
• 39:19
  away
• 39:19
  from
• 39:19
  that
• 39:20
  and
• 39:20
  they
• 39:20
  use
• 39:20
  the,
• 39:21
  like
• 39:21
  a
• 39:22
  flatline
• 39:22
  finisher
• 39:23
  that
• 39:23
  they
• 39:23
  will
• 39:23
  spray
• 39:24
  the
• 39:24
  stain
• 39:24
  on.
• 39:24
  But
• 39:25
  I
• 39:25
  just
• 39:25
  love
• 39:25
  the,
• 39:26
  I
• 39:26
  love
• 39:26
  the
• 39:27
  look.
• 39:27
  You
• 39:27
  get
• 39:27
  a
• 39:28
  much
• 39:28
  more
• 39:28
  furniture
• 39:28
  look
• 39:29
  with,
• 39:29
  with
• 39:29
  that
• 39:29
  hand
• 39:30
  rub
• 39:30
  stain.
• 39:30
  It's
• 39:31
  just
• 39:31
  more
• 39:31
  of,
• 39:32
  well,
• 39:32
  that
• 39:32
  old
• 39:32
  school
• 39:33
  way
• 39:33
  of
• 39:33
  doing
• 39:33
  it.
• 39:33
  That
• 39:34
  looks
• 39:34
  good.
• 39:35
  It
• 39:35
  brings
• 39:35
  the
• 39:35
  grain
• 39:36
  out.
• 39:36
  It
• 39:36
  really
• 39:36
  makes.
• 41:18
  It
• 41:18
  really
• 41:18
  pronounces
• 39:38
  the
• 41:19
  wood.
• 41:19
  Nice.
• 41:20
  Yep.
• 41:22
  Yeah,
• 41:22
  we
• 41:22
  like
• 41:22
  the
• 41:22
  handbra.
• 41:23
  We
• 41:23
  don't
• 41:24
  spray
• 41:24
  any
• 41:24
  stains.
• 41:25
  Nice,
• 41:26
  Nice.
• 41:27
  That
• 41:27
  is
• 41:28
  a
• 41:28
  good
• 41:28
  one.
• 41:28
  Well,
• 41:29
  you
• 41:29
  know,
• 41:30
  Elvin,
• 41:30
  we're
• 41:30
  running
• 41:31
  a
• 41:31
  little
• 41:31

• 41:31
  of
• 41:31
  time
• 41:32
  here.
• 41:32
  We're
• 41:32
  getting
• 41:32
  close
• 41:32
  to
• 41:33
  the
• 41:33

• 41:33
  mark
• 41:34
  on
• 41:34

• 41:34

• 41:35
  But
• 41:36
  if
• 41:36
  there
• 41:36
  are
• 41:37
  people
• 41:37
  out
• 41:37
  there
• 41:37
  that
• 41:38
  want
• 41:38
  to
• 41:38
  maybe
• 41:39
  become
• 41:39
  a
• 41:39
  dealer
• 41:40
  for
• 41:40
  you
