- 0:21Speaker 1: And oh, we gotta hit it out a button. And
- 0:23Speaker 1: I hit it out a button, and I hit it
- 0:24Speaker 1: out a button. What's going on? Everybody? I am the one,
- 0:27Speaker 1: the only, the w O O K. I E joined
- 0:31Speaker 1: here by the normal cast of misfits. You know here
- 0:34Speaker 1: you all want to hear a funny story. I know
- 0:36Speaker 1: you're the normal cast of misfits. You want to hear
- 0:38Speaker 1: a funny story. Sure. I sat in the bathroom today
- 0:42Speaker 1: for thirty.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Minutes and we're on that joke again.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Figured it out everything I was going to say to you, Oh,
- 0:52Speaker 1: are we the ones you think about? Well you're in
- 0:54Speaker 1: the bathroom? Is that what you're saying every now and again?
- 0:56Speaker 1: Just you the dress car? Oh and and then I
- 1:00Speaker 1: got home and I forgot it all. But we have
- 1:02Speaker 1: the choke show himself dress Cord. Hey, guys, how's it going?
- 1:06Speaker 1: The PhD of key Forge Doctor Sheet Hello and ewaukias
- 1:10Speaker 1: stuff e walks Ewalk Jr.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Hello, Oh hello Keyboards community.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, get on it, Yeah.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Steck up your ewakiist niche.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Well see, I felt I felt that I needed to
- 1:26Speaker 2: go ahead and do my best sheep impression, and it
- 1:30Speaker 2: just came up across around them.
- 1:31Speaker 1: You know, I will say normally before Wookie press the chords,
- 1:35Speaker 1: we like joke around on here and like, you know,
- 1:37Speaker 1: jazz ourselves up all this time, this hobby just like
- 1:40Speaker 1: just hit the record, straight to business, right, There's a
- 1:43Speaker 1: lot going on right now. I have an announcement to make.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Oh I have received my first clone deck. Ooh, which
- 1:55Speaker 1: one did you get? I did, Nathan? Now they do'te
- 2:00Speaker 1: don't translate the actual name, so oh, so the cards
- 2:04Speaker 1: are translator name. The dext name is still the same
- 2:10Speaker 1: I did. So I don't know what the deck is.
- 2:11Speaker 1: It's just Nathan, you sue if sure sept about a
- 2:17Speaker 1: sex I'm I'm gonna go with that. I'm sure the
- 2:20Speaker 1: French will at next KI. Yeah, I'm sure the French
- 2:24Speaker 1: next KFC will tell me how badly I butchered that name.
- 2:27Speaker 1: But it was a French World's Collide deck that I
- 2:31Speaker 1: really had and I wanted to play it, and now
- 2:35Speaker 1: I can because it's in English. Yes, I'm actually super pumped.
- 2:39Speaker 1: It doesn't look bad. I mean, you know a little
- 2:42Speaker 1: bit of English. I know some English, not a time,
- 2:46Speaker 1: not a toime. I'm bad at this game, but we
- 2:49Speaker 1: have a lot to go over. We're gonna start out
- 2:51Speaker 1: with Miko the Northeast Key Forge open. That's right. It's
- 2:57Speaker 1: going from February first to the second. Yeah, that's the
- 3:01Speaker 1: Saturday and Sunday. It's just a weekend thing. Yeah. So
- 3:05Speaker 1: there will be limited drazz Core experiences.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I mean, we'll say weekend we'll see.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Feet under games. This will be somewhere in Philly. This
- 3:19Speaker 1: is in Gap, Pennsylvania, so it's it's in Amish country. Actually,
- 3:23Speaker 1: oh jeez, so it's not. It's not really like close
- 3:27Speaker 1: to stuff. Are we desperate where now we're now trying
- 3:30Speaker 1: to get the Abish to play with us. So yep, yep.
- 3:33Speaker 1: So literally, when you're in this parking lot, there could
- 3:37Speaker 1: be horses park next to your car.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Nice. Oh, which is why they're calling it a savage clash.
- 3:46Speaker 1: M yep, yep it is. So the location was picked
- 3:50Speaker 1: because it's kind of sort of central it to the Northeast,
- 3:55Speaker 1: at least to to you know, most of the Northeast folks.
- 3:58Speaker 1: So it's kind of between folks in Philly, folks in Baltimore,
- 4:02Speaker 1: folks in York, folks in Pittsburgh. So it's like kind
- 4:07Speaker 1: of in the center of all that. And because it's
- 4:13Speaker 1: in amage country, like you know store. You know, store's
- 4:17Speaker 1: a bit bigger than if it was in a city. Right, Yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 1: so Sheep has graciously translated. We still don't know what
- 4:25Speaker 1: fjord means the jord, but it's the second fjord. What's
- 4:32Speaker 1: a fjord?
- 4:34Speaker 3: Don't worry, I'll translate it all right.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Well you tried once and it didn't. It failed miserably.
- 4:40Speaker 3: No, No, that's because fjord is a work.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I don't know what that means.
- 4:43Speaker 2: It's a physical geography.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I got you, I got you.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It's a long narrow seat inlet with Steve and narrow
- 4:52Speaker 2: got it.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So it is the skeptical fjord loan shark, just like Wookie.
- 4:59Speaker 1: You a loan shark, you know, you know, you know,
- 5:01Speaker 1: if anybody I'd get the oh you know what, that's
- 5:04Speaker 1: a dig on me and I don't like you anymore.
- 5:06Speaker 1: But you can buy. I just realized where that was
- 5:11Speaker 1: coming from, and I'm like, yeah it is, but you
- 5:16Speaker 1: can buy your tickets. Will put the link and maybe
- 5:18Speaker 1: in the Dublee doo it might be there. It might not.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not going to give you any great
- 5:24Speaker 1: expectations that any of this might happen. So maybe, Yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 1: if you're on any of the discords they post on
- 5:31Speaker 1: a whole bunch of the discords, they do have their
- 5:34Speaker 1: own discord. Uh, it's all So it's any key for
- 5:44Speaker 1: dot ticket, sit dots, das card a Little Robots, Super
- 5:52Speaker 1: super Das actually starts it. Routery starts your outer check
- 6:02Speaker 1: her out, kick them out, kick them out. Is done.
- 6:05Speaker 1: But let's get to the game found. The game Found
- 6:07Speaker 1: is over, he.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Was telling us. So it's going to be amber Sky Seal.
- 6:12Speaker 2: It's going to be a great event. Registration check in
- 6:16Speaker 2: redistrace is eleven, but it's nico So any key e
- 6:19Speaker 2: so any k E y f O r g E
- 6:22Speaker 2: dot ticket spice dot com.
- 6:24Speaker 1: And you'll you got all that out of that, Yeah.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Because I actually, you know, wrote the show notes and
- 6:30Speaker 2: look at show notes friends.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You read the notes notes. Is my voice better now? Yeah?
- 6:37Speaker 1: It's still better for now? All right.
- 6:40Speaker 2: You also get to go ahead and visit like all
- 6:43Speaker 2: these amazing keyborge players that we see.
- 6:45Speaker 1: He was going to be there. Let's see Mammon's going
- 6:48Speaker 1: to be there. He's all right, yeah, these are these
- 6:50Speaker 1: are the organizers. So metal zoa it's his local store.
- 6:54Speaker 1: And then a whole bunch of the team Redactive guys
- 6:56Speaker 1: are organizing it. That's my local teaming and so Mamon
- 6:59Speaker 1: DG King of JJ. Then you've got some other folks around, Uh,
- 7:05Speaker 1: you've got fabulousing who I know is running the side events.
- 7:09Speaker 1: I believe Straters, dead Sinc. Julie, July and June are
- 7:16Speaker 1: all helping to organize. And then it is good. Did
- 7:22Speaker 1: you guys say it was three deck true sealed amber
- 7:25Speaker 1: Skies is the main event on I.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Said three deck, I said three decks sealed amber Skys.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I did not say true sealed.
- 7:32Speaker 1: True sealed. So no, Allian sing, just you get three decks.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I want this great this guy, I want my agency.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Sure good, you can have my agent events. There you go,
- 7:48Speaker 1: thank you, I needed your agency. It should be a
- 7:52Speaker 1: lot of fun. There's uh, there is on the discord
- 7:56Speaker 1: if you when you get in there through these various
- 7:58Speaker 1: means that we mentioned. There is a section for like
- 8:02Speaker 1: travel and housing. There's a section for just like figuring
- 8:05Speaker 1: out how to how to you know, get there and
- 8:09Speaker 1: all this fun stuff. So yeah, so come check it out.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It should be a ton of fun. Google is your friend.
- 8:17Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about the game Found. Game Found
- 8:20Speaker 1: is over. It is completed. It completed with a little
- 8:25Speaker 1: over one thousand backers, one thousand and thirty four backers
- 8:28Speaker 1: at quarter a little over a quarter of a million dollars.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I did not see that one coming. So where did
- 8:36Speaker 1: my last forty hours?
- 8:37Speaker 2: Storry was going to push it. I'm content with this.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I didn't say I'm not content with it. I just
- 8:44Speaker 1: said it's I thought it might barely break two hundred k,
- 8:50Speaker 1: and they all they halfway to three two hundred and
- 8:53Speaker 1: fifty two twelve dollars and thirty five cents.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, you're really not breaking that mid
- 9:00Speaker 2: of two hundred to get We were not close to
- 9:02Speaker 2: the three hundred thousand. And this is significantly less than
- 9:06Speaker 2: you've seen from.
- 9:07Speaker 1: His Drazz the only one on the show who backed
- 9:10Speaker 1: I think, so he's a sucker. I didn't.
- 9:13Speaker 2: No, I did back this time.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Don't sound a so sad about it.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I mean, I know I'm buying product. I'm just getting
- 9:22Speaker 3: it through retail.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Same and I am also buying product from retail. I
- 9:27Speaker 2: had a bigger vision from last time. I wanted to
- 9:29Speaker 2: be able to actually pick up a deck or some
- 9:33Speaker 2: decks on the side that I would invest in, And honestly,
- 9:37Speaker 2: the Marcu is just really blah, and I missed. Even
- 9:42Speaker 2: if it is a lot of cardboard that just sits
- 9:45Speaker 2: in a shelf in some cardboard boxes, it was fun
- 9:48Speaker 2: to open, to be able to play, to look for
- 9:50Speaker 2: some things, and to be able to, you know, potentially
- 9:53Speaker 2: win a lottery did not happen, usually does not happen.
- 9:57Speaker 2: But I actually missed it a little bit, So I'm
- 10:00Speaker 2: not going I'm not going big. Honestly. It was much
- 10:02Speaker 2: much smaller than we've seen in quite a while. But
- 10:05Speaker 2: I think that a couple decks are fine.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Yeah, a couple of decks are fine. No harm in
- 10:11Speaker 1: a couple of decks cases. Yeah, I got. I got
- 10:14Speaker 1: the display, and then you know, I got the some
- 10:19Speaker 1: of those extra things they threw in. And then it
- 10:22Speaker 1: was like, well, you get extra stretch goals if you do,
- 10:26Speaker 1: you know, even a small pledge that I did, an
- 10:28Speaker 1: extra small pledge, you know that sort of thing.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Mm hmmm, five hundred dollars gone.
- 10:34Speaker 1: That's how they get you. But they got the pledge.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Manager will be opening Monday, January sixth.
- 10:45Speaker 2: It's January sixth, is that Monday.
- 10:48Speaker 1: What according to Gigi, it is because that's what it
- 10:51Speaker 1: says in their article. I'm reading straight from it. Yeah, no,
- 10:54Speaker 1: that is, and then it'll go into.
- 10:59Speaker 2: So if you if you do have yeah, if you
- 11:00Speaker 2: do have any like name decks, that's where you'd be
- 11:06Speaker 2: going through. No, no, the name deck you have to
- 11:09Speaker 2: do on their on a form on dot com. Oh,
- 11:13Speaker 2: I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Uh yeah, yeah, I'm gonna figure that out.
- 11:19Speaker 3: It's not just that all I got was this deck.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Yes, you got it. I mean I've gotten some solid
- 11:27Speaker 1: decks before. Uh slow walk slow is pretty good. Actually,
- 11:32Speaker 1: you're welcome. X ray sucks? Isn't that bad? Better than
- 11:37Speaker 1: x ray?
- 11:41Speaker 2: Uh?
- 11:42Speaker 1: The kills Brio that I got this last time is
- 11:44Speaker 1: like truly an awful deck and it can't really kill brio.
- 11:48Speaker 1: So that was a little disappointing. But uh yeah, I'm gon.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna figure out what I'm gonna do this time.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Pledge Manager or run until Tuesday, January twenty First, all
- 12:03Speaker 1: backers must complete their page and submit their custom deck
- 12:06Speaker 1: forms if applicle, but buy this date.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Which is why I was saying by that day.
- 12:11Speaker 1: But yep.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Yes, there's a different form. It is on keep orging
- 12:15Speaker 2: dot com for the custom deck form.
- 12:19Speaker 1: You can find all of the that over at the
- 12:23Speaker 1: game found page. Let's talk about this the path to Discovery. Boys.
- 12:34Speaker 1: We did it. We discovered it. EWA, Congratulations, Congratulations, Congratulations,
- 12:42Speaker 1: Jazz Cars, congratulations. We finally bitched enough for them to
- 12:47Speaker 1: release some form of weekly op. I mean this is marketing, right,
- 12:53Speaker 1: They are sort of marketing this.
- 12:55Speaker 2: They have they have table tents and a poster.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Called on hold on. So obviously we're getting the Discovery Kit, right.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'm guessing this will somehow tie into the release of
- 13:10Speaker 1: the Discovery Set.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Discovery releases actually January thirty, first, twenty five.
- 13:18Speaker 1: So players can the player. Discovery Kit supports up to
- 13:22Speaker 1: six players in a multi week organized play event, guiding
- 13:26Speaker 1: both newcomers and returning players to the fundamentals of key Forge.
- 13:30Speaker 1: By the end of the event, players will be eager
- 13:32Speaker 1: to delve deeper into the game. I hope this means
- 13:35Speaker 1: that they have plans for after the Discovery Kit. I
- 13:39Speaker 1: want to hold my breath.
- 13:41Speaker 3: It's called Profit Vision Store Championship.
- 13:46Speaker 1: A unique and engaging experience to enhance the experience. The
- 13:50Speaker 1: kit includes six metal key chain sets, each featuring a
- 13:55Speaker 1: key Forge logo charm and three shaped charms. Three key
- 14:00Speaker 1: shaped charms. I've left that out key shape charms. These
- 14:05Speaker 1: charms aren't just stylish, their functional game piece this player
- 14:11Speaker 1: can use. These can use the sides of their charms
- 14:15Speaker 1: as their keys during gameplay, keeping the experience of key
- 14:19Speaker 1: Forge close at hand. Also, the will stores will be
- 14:24Speaker 1: getting a poster and some table tents and one prize
- 14:28Speaker 1: deck yep a one prizes.
- 14:40Speaker 2: You know, the winner of the event will receive that
- 14:44Speaker 2: free each week.
- 14:47Speaker 3: I don't, I don't think so.
- 14:49Speaker 2: No, that's what it said. It said the participants will
- 14:51Speaker 2: not only complete complete their key chain, but the winner
- 14:54Speaker 2: of the event will also receive a free deck as
- 14:57Speaker 2: a record.
- 14:57Speaker 3: It is so the thing and agreeing with many of
- 15:01Speaker 3: the comments I've seen as people are saying, like what
- 15:04Speaker 3: is the format of the like what what are we
- 15:09Speaker 3: supposed to do? Is this just play however you want? Yes,
- 15:14Speaker 3: which always yeah, which there is some frustration in the
- 15:19Speaker 3: community regarding no clear guidance and use this format, play
- 15:23Speaker 3: this style, do this or do that? And I mean,
- 15:32Speaker 3: what are your options?
- 15:33Speaker 2: You really?
- 15:34Speaker 1: So there are only three formats, right, Alliance and arcan
- 15:40Speaker 1: supportive formats, And then you're not going to do alliance
- 15:45Speaker 1: with a brand new player, right, And this is starting.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Are you sure that's not what they're going to say
- 15:50Speaker 3: to do?
- 15:56Speaker 1: Well, they'll say sealed and sealed includes alliance, right, but
- 15:59Speaker 1: but uh, because yeah, but they're not going to do
- 16:02Speaker 1: like an arc on alliance or whatever. That's not the
- 16:05Speaker 1: right word, right, but you know, uh, and then I
- 16:07Speaker 1: guess arc on arc I mean, how many discovery decks
- 16:10Speaker 1: are you gonna have these folks get? So it's gonna
- 16:11Speaker 1: be sealed, right, I mean that's really.
- 16:13Speaker 3: I mean, I agree single decks sealed is what I
- 16:17Speaker 3: would almost always run a new player event that has.
- 16:21Speaker 3: But it's just the fact that in the information they
- 16:26Speaker 3: released there.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Is sheep Intternet's going right up to like you.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Should run a Swiss and do this part of the because.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Abbit internet's going.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Style right, because they've done times in place.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Is that just me or sheep Sheep's Internet going west O? Nope,
- 17:05Speaker 1: it's my internet that's making a ship. Hold on, guys,
- 17:10Speaker 1: I'll join VACAN. Oh boy, well this isn't good. The
- 17:25Speaker 1: call is killing my internet. Oh it's killing all of
- 17:29Speaker 1: our internets. It is like negative twelve degrees in Wisconsin
- 17:33Speaker 1: right now. So we apologize for the technical difficulties.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Hmmm.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Sheep did not break the cast. He breaks many things
- 17:43Speaker 1: other key.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Forge players, mostly humans, other.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Key Forged players, maybe one of them, but he did
- 17:48Speaker 1: not break the cast. I don't know who's complaining about this.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I feel like this has always been a do whatever,
- 17:55Speaker 1: like local opias, do whatever you want.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean so the complaint really was that
- 18:03Speaker 2: we're trying to introduce the game, and so it should
- 18:06Speaker 2: be a little bit more focused. There should be a
- 18:08Speaker 2: little more direction. And then too, if you're introducing the
- 18:12Speaker 2: game and it's taking six weeks, that was a complaint. Personally,
- 18:16Speaker 2: I want to see people coming. Yeah, that's actually how
- 18:19Speaker 2: long this is going ahead and being able to run
- 18:22Speaker 2: for them.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Well, hold on, I thought this supported six players on
- 18:26Speaker 1: a weekly basis.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's a multi multi organized so.
- 18:30Speaker 1: It doesn't say it's six weeks, So it's multi three weeks.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Right, Like it includes six stunning gyas. Yes, yes, it
- 18:38Speaker 2: would be four because you have each of the charms
- 18:41Speaker 2: and then you have the key Forge logo itself.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Se regardless, but this is exactly what we're talking about.
- 18:49Speaker 2: It doesn't happen.
- 18:49Speaker 3: It is like, this is what you should do with
- 18:53Speaker 3: this kit at all, Like should you string it out
- 18:57Speaker 3: over three weeks to try to get players to play
- 19:00Speaker 3: more than one week in a row to complete their
- 19:01Speaker 3: sweet key charms, which will be even more annoying when
- 19:04Speaker 3: you have players to show up for week one and
- 19:06Speaker 3: then bail on week two and three and like the
- 19:08Speaker 3: key Chaine and the red charm is gone and you're
- 19:11Speaker 3: like got all these extra blues and yellows or whatever
- 19:14Speaker 3: because they never come back. That's super lame. So do
- 19:18Speaker 3: you just run an event and you give them the
- 19:20Speaker 3: whole jangle and then they still don't maybe come back,
- 19:25Speaker 3: or they do, you know, like that's the dream they
- 19:26Speaker 3: come back. But like the inconsistency already in new player
- 19:32Speaker 3: experience because there is no definition of what to do
- 19:36Speaker 3: with this, so you're gonna have people doing what we do.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Like what he's saying is whatever you want, which again
- 19:44Speaker 3: brings no consistency to this this whole.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I think it also allows you to shape like because like, okay,
- 19:51Speaker 1: so our local is gonna.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Have any new players, We're gonna play whatever we want.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Right, so but that allows us as people who yeah, okay,
- 20:00Speaker 1: we're probably not going to have any new players, right,
- 20:02Speaker 1: We're probably going to have all the same people, so
- 20:05Speaker 1: we can continue to just do what we want. Maybe
- 20:07Speaker 1: dras Court does have a new player, so they can
- 20:10Speaker 1: try to get a new players. Sure, I know you,
- 20:12Speaker 1: I know you will, but I'm saying like it gives
- 20:14Speaker 1: you the flexibility as opposed to this week is this?
- 20:19Speaker 1: This week is that? Well what if person missed week
- 20:22Speaker 1: one but then comes week two? Because I'm sure this
- 20:25Speaker 1: will be excellently broadcasted and televised and marketed out to
- 20:33Speaker 1: every single game store that's buying KeyForge.
- 20:36Speaker 2: I mean, I'll be honest, this is more marketing than
- 20:39Speaker 2: I've seen, so I at least appreciate there's a poster
- 20:42Speaker 2: that you can go to the store they can hang up.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Some notification is better than nothing, and we've had nothing
- 20:49Speaker 2: for a very long time, so table tends to show it.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Here's what's happening. I think our community is amazing and
- 20:54Speaker 2: they will be able to go ahead and run with this.
- 20:56Speaker 2: And what your local needs is what your local needs.
- 20:58Speaker 2: The people who are organizing it now, our fans were
- 21:01Speaker 2: putting a lot of time and energy into it anyway.
- 21:03Speaker 2: So I'll take the poster. I'll take the table tens
- 21:06Speaker 2: I will. I mean, if it's a little knickknack for
- 21:09Speaker 2: the keychain, great, but it's the little trinkets. There's flexibility
- 21:14Speaker 2: and doing a one time event on a Saturday or Sunday,
- 21:16Speaker 2: there's time to run it weekly. I think that this
- 21:20Speaker 2: is the best that we could really hope for, guys.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I really do.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Janly little key things going to be impressive looking enough
- 21:26Speaker 3: that if the store had them at ahead of time
- 21:29Speaker 3: and had them on display, that people would say, those
- 21:33Speaker 3: look cool. How do I get them? Because if it's
- 21:37Speaker 3: just on a poster that ends up in obscurity corner.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Yeah, then it will be for the bathroom, right, I mean, wellkie,
- 21:45Speaker 1: you'll be there for thirty minutes read the whole thing.
- 21:47Speaker 3: So sure, but you can't you know what I'm saying. Like,
- 21:51Speaker 3: actually physically seeing them is better than a little picture
- 21:58Speaker 3: for a game that you don't play, So don't engage. Hey,
- 22:02Speaker 3: you know you may not engage with seeing physical stuff too,
- 22:05Speaker 3: but it's yeah, I think it's I would I like
- 22:12Speaker 3: many other people, I'm on the other side, Okay, I'd
- 22:14Speaker 3: rather have them say you should run it this way,
- 22:17Speaker 3: and then we can do what we've always done, which
- 22:19Speaker 3: is ignore what they say and do what we want.
- 22:22Speaker 3: But having a structure I think is better at this
- 22:29Speaker 3: point than a do whatever you want, and some sucker
- 22:34Speaker 3: gets stuck playing adaptive well because okay, so.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Well, I mean, only Pittsburgh will do adaptive, right, So
- 22:41Speaker 1: I think you're mostly okay, nobody's actually running adaptive because
- 22:45Speaker 1: it's not a real format. It doesn't exist.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I think that.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:51Speaker 2: So I think what you see is that other games
- 22:55Speaker 2: that are presently out that shall not be named, you
- 22:57Speaker 2: have two of them right now, they do have a
- 22:59Speaker 2: more struck sured organized play system that is for beginners,
- 23:03Speaker 2: and so that's where you can see some of the comparison.
- 23:06Speaker 2: When it is more structured, typically it offers newbies a
- 23:10Speaker 2: chance to be able to come in, to be able
- 23:11Speaker 2: to learn, and then to see, like what the reward
- 23:14Speaker 2: system is for coming back. This is something, it's something
- 23:19Speaker 2: in the right frame. I think that the little Trinkets,
- 23:23Speaker 2: even some of our experienced keyboards players can go ahead
- 23:26Speaker 2: and look forward to our use. I mean, but if they're.
- 23:29Speaker 3: The experienced players, then the new players they don't seem
- 23:32Speaker 3: like new player Poland's really.
- 23:36Speaker 2: No, they seem experience, but they're they're matching for both
- 23:40Speaker 2: the marketing.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Guy, I'm just saying like, I don't because here's the deal.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I really want.
- 23:47Speaker 3: These wouldn't make me want to play Star Wars if
- 23:52Speaker 3: it was Star Wars theme key and I like Star
- 23:55Speaker 3: Wars as a as a thing, and I still wouldn't
- 23:59Speaker 3: play the game. Get the loop.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I think the bigger thing is right lost for total
- 24:09Speaker 1: train of thought. If they were gonna do this for
- 24:11Speaker 1: new players, I don't. Ar Con is definitely not the
- 24:16Speaker 1: way to go. Yeah it's sealed, and I don't but
- 24:19Speaker 1: I don't. But is it sealed? Yeah? Is it? Well,
- 24:25Speaker 1: fifteen dollars is kind of a big commitment to a
- 24:27Speaker 1: game that you know nothing about one time.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Really, like, what game can you what game do you
- 24:34Speaker 3: learn to play for less than fifteen dollars? Or you're
- 24:37Speaker 3: to spend fifteen even your principleses is fifteen or twenty
- 24:41Speaker 3: bucks for a starter deck?
- 24:43Speaker 2: Right? I think the big thing that people have to
- 24:45Speaker 2: keep in mind for this is when our newbies come in,
- 24:47Speaker 2: if we have any new person, if we can have
- 24:50Speaker 2: tokens to go with it. So, yes, you're giving them keys,
- 24:53Speaker 2: but they're still a need for a lot of other
- 24:57Speaker 2: tokens well from your amber and other things. So do
- 25:00Speaker 2: you want to have those kits to be able to
- 25:02Speaker 2: give to them or let them use anything. And everyone's
- 25:04Speaker 2: been great.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Looking our Patreon channel, but they have a bigger version
- 25:09Speaker 3: of this starter of this this kit that comes with
- 25:13Speaker 3: the new one player starters from Discovery, so they could
- 25:16Speaker 3: have all their tokens for what looks to be twenty
- 25:19Speaker 3: bucks and they get a deck in all their tokens
- 25:22Speaker 3: one player Deluxe starters.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Again, Yeah, I think that's fine, right, And I honestly
- 25:29Speaker 1: guys like we're we're gonna be fine running these events
- 25:32Speaker 1: without detailed destructions. I don't think that that is a
- 25:36Speaker 1: necessary thing that we're like, oh my gosh, we don't
- 25:39Speaker 1: know what to do.
- 25:40Speaker 3: You know, it's a necessary thing for this thing to
- 25:44Speaker 3: expand beyond already people playing Keyfarde doing all the work,
- 25:51Speaker 3: which we're so may maybe we are still so far
- 25:54Speaker 3: from a game store without a key Forge crowd being like, oh,
- 25:58Speaker 3: I'm going to run this Discovery and see if we
- 26:01Speaker 3: can get some sweet key Forge actually going on in
- 26:03Speaker 3: this store too. And they get this kit and it's
- 26:05Speaker 3: just like, here's some prizes play KeyForge, What like, what
- 26:09Speaker 3: do I? What am I supposed to do with that?
- 26:13Speaker 3: If you already have engaged key Forge players, I agree
- 26:16Speaker 3: this is easy. We can all do this. But if
- 26:18Speaker 3: you don't, this is not a starting place the way
- 26:23Speaker 3: it's the way it's been presented so far.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Would you prefer to go ahead and send out the
- 26:32Speaker 2: old two player starter that's uh scripted for play that
- 26:37Speaker 2: they've been using.
- 26:38Speaker 3: I didn't say this is a learn to play kid.
- 26:40Speaker 3: This isn't a learn to play kid, I know, but
- 26:44Speaker 3: that he did make those, And yes, I am surprised
- 26:48Speaker 3: they haven't made it available for stores just to get
- 26:51Speaker 3: the two learn to play decks and do something with
- 26:53Speaker 3: them if they were too.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Well, don't do can't you get your the starter decks?
- 26:59Speaker 3: Yeah? If you buy a starter box and get low
- 27:02Speaker 3: decks in it that nobody wants at forty dollars.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I mean, and the new players don't know the difference, Well.
- 27:10Speaker 3: But that's what the store knows. It's forty bucks. And
- 27:12Speaker 3: then they don't want to open it to get the
- 27:14Speaker 3: I'm saying, like, I can't believe they don't just give
- 27:17Speaker 3: out lame decks as like, yeah, here you go. You
- 27:22Speaker 3: guys actually want to try to teach people to play
- 27:24Speaker 3: key Forards, here's some of the teaching decks like that they.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Could throw it in that would be good.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that should definitely be in these discovery kits.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Like if you want to teach people how to play
- 27:33Speaker 3: key Forge, here's the teaching parts too. They don't have
- 27:37Speaker 3: to buy these forty dollars boxes. Here.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Here's my other question, do we go all the way
- 27:42Speaker 2: back to the first two decks that were all not
- 27:46Speaker 2: unique but showed you how to play the game when
- 27:48Speaker 2: we first got to Coda, Well.
- 27:50Speaker 3: They sort of made an improvement on that with the
- 27:53Speaker 3: scripted ones.
- 27:53Speaker 1: No, they didn't.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Is it? Is it an improvement? Like that's the question
- 27:57Speaker 2: is so I don't know something.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Those original ones were any better?
- 28:01Speaker 2: So so that's where there's interest. Is the game for
- 28:06Speaker 2: the scripted decks leads to one outcome? Really? You can
- 28:10Speaker 2: see on the original decks had a little bit more flair,
- 28:13Speaker 2: but they were.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yeah, but you were like, the original decks weren't anymore
- 28:19Speaker 3: teaching decks than just opening the other deck playing it.
- 28:23Speaker 3: As far as a new player is concerned being a
- 28:26Speaker 3: person standing over them teaching. It helps because you've already
- 28:29Speaker 3: seen the decks twenty times. But I the scripted ones
- 28:36Speaker 3: are the way to go. The scripted game with the
- 28:40Speaker 3: defined outcome is fine because if they think the mechanical
- 28:44Speaker 3: play is at all interesting, then you give them the
- 28:46Speaker 3: sealed deck and they go. And if they go, well,
- 28:50Speaker 3: this kind of game isn't for me, then there's no
- 28:55Speaker 3: additional waste.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Really, and I do agree. I think the ten to
- 28:59Speaker 2: fifteen dollar twenty dollars price point is much easier to
- 29:02Speaker 2: stomach than forty or sixty, and so looking at that difference,
- 29:07Speaker 2: it can be when someone's looking at the starter decks,
- 29:12Speaker 2: it can be troubling or difficult to be able to
- 29:15Speaker 2: read and understand what's actually coming in how the game plays.
- 29:19Speaker 3: I mean, a day one buying of forty dollars, I
- 29:23Speaker 3: agree Wookie has seemed stiff to me, but a day
- 29:26Speaker 3: one buying of any game at twenty dollars is not. No,
- 29:29Speaker 3: that's fine, not that terrible.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that that's very fine. I mean, you
- 29:41Speaker 1: guys may think that's very fine. If somebody's like, hey,
- 29:43Speaker 1: you want to try this game fifteen dollars money please, Well,
- 29:48Speaker 1: I mean game are less like yeah with lose banana, Like,
- 29:55Speaker 1: what are you playing? So here's my question if the
- 29:58Speaker 1: banana player, Yeah, no, I have the banana.
- 30:05Speaker 3: I brought an apple. Tell me the right game.
- 30:07Speaker 1: You're in the wrong game, sir, Well what is you
- 30:12Speaker 1: had a thought? What's the thought?
- 30:14Speaker 2: No? I was just asking if you had access to
- 30:18Speaker 2: try out another game, another CCG, whether that's One Piece
- 30:21Speaker 2: or Princesses or you can put Altered or any other
- 30:25Speaker 2: game in here, would what's the price point? Or you
- 30:29Speaker 2: just saying no, Well, yeah, I'm.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Not on day one right, Like, I don't know any
- 30:35Speaker 3: game that actually has a free Magic does Magic anymore?
- 30:40Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 30:42Speaker 3: Free?
- 30:42Speaker 1: Like you could just walk into the store and be like,
- 30:44Speaker 1: give me my free Magic thing. Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 3: See, but Magic it's.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Such a different game that's been around for so long,
- 30:56Speaker 2: Like that's a hard company.
- 30:58Speaker 1: And I don't know because I have never gone on
- 31:00Speaker 1: to another like, hey play this game event, have you guys.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Not in quite a while?
- 31:11Speaker 1: I'm not I've not played Magic since the nineties. Well
- 31:14Speaker 1: I'm not saying Magic specifically, but like, have you gotten
- 31:18Speaker 1: to another like CCG game where you're like.
- 31:25Speaker 3: It's the prely stuff and then that ship I won't
- 31:31Speaker 3: even see, like come learn to plays for other games.
- 31:33Speaker 3: But again, we're not the people to be asking because
- 31:37Speaker 3: we're not looking. So we're not looking on the boards.
- 31:40Speaker 3: We're not paying attention to our local stores like promotional stuff,
- 31:46Speaker 3: because we don't care about any of that.
- 31:48Speaker 1: This is also true. I can't say that that's wrong
- 31:54Speaker 1: paid attention. Maybe one day, maybe you and I sheep
- 32:00Speaker 1: need to go to somewhere for their learn to play
- 32:03Speaker 1: X game and we'll go learn to play something and
- 32:08Speaker 1: see how the experiences deal.
- 32:15Speaker 3: I mean, I like playing games, so sure.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Okay deal. But I agree. I think this is a
- 32:21Speaker 1: step at least of the right correct direction. It's something
- 32:26Speaker 1: maybe Jam's right. Maybe you're just you're you are just
- 32:29Speaker 1: impossible to make happy.
- 32:33Speaker 3: I mean, I'm excited that we have another kit to
- 32:37Speaker 3: play with. I just I just don't feel like the
- 32:39Speaker 3: packaging on this Kitch kit matches the intended goals.
- 32:47Speaker 1: And I can't you don't know what's on this post.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Maybe maybe it says like free blow jobs or something,
- 32:54Speaker 1: and then that's only going to appeal to some of
- 32:57Speaker 1: the audience, sir.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Either. Anyway, I don't even I can't bring us back.
- 33:07Speaker 1: I didn't expect you to say that, so now I
- 33:10Speaker 1: have no witty retorts like I don't even here's here's
- 33:13Speaker 1: my dad. You went completely off the rails to a
- 33:16Speaker 1: point where I wasn't even gonna push it to. But
- 33:19Speaker 1: then there was and I'm just like.
- 33:21Speaker 2: You know what, Dascar, You've crossed the line.
- 33:23Speaker 1: And Wookie wouldn't even go to so I should stop
- 33:26Speaker 1: drinking the beers. I was just saying, yeah, to be
- 33:31Speaker 1: honest with you, I was like, I don't even know
- 33:33Speaker 1: how to respond to that.
- 33:34Speaker 2: I uh, I'm gonna guess that. Let's just say that's
- 33:39Speaker 2: not the marketing plan.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Okay, But if it was just go with that, I
- 33:44Speaker 1: would show up, this is Keyboard.
- 33:46Speaker 3: You're gonna get a niffle job, right, well, definitely, so
- 34:01Speaker 3: that whale is fun.
- 34:04Speaker 1: That whale makes me nervous that All Discovery is just
- 34:06Speaker 1: gonna be DT Oh yeah, oh my god.
- 34:10Speaker 3: They're gonna have every niffle card in this set. It's
- 34:12Speaker 3: gonna be all niffles all the time.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Probably better better niffles, like like Nipple Kong was okay.
- 34:20Speaker 1: I feel like the next joke shit set really should
- 34:23Speaker 1: be called Oops all niffles. Yep, oops, all niffles and
- 34:27Speaker 1: it's just it's just niffle cards. But let's get into
- 34:33Speaker 1: our next topic. I like this one. We're taking a
- 34:35Speaker 1: suggestions from our suggestion box. Uh. It turns out we
- 34:40Speaker 1: have one of those who knew. But the Papa wrote
- 34:43Speaker 1: into us and he said, recently the misfits were discussing
- 34:48Speaker 1: clone decks. Appreciate what he's mentioned. A few decks you
- 34:52Speaker 1: are considering translating. Curious about your list worthy of clones,
- 34:57Speaker 1: the possibility of purchasing foreign decks before clones. And now
- 35:02Speaker 1: got my notice this week that Emmanuel is on its
- 35:05Speaker 1: way home to the Southern Indiana and English. Emmanuel is
- 35:09Speaker 1: my first foreign language deck, which I purchased knowing that
- 35:12Speaker 1: translated decks would be coming. Now I am looking at
- 35:16Speaker 1: foreign decks more seriously now they can get them translated.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Now that I can get translated clones. However, the shipping
- 35:22Speaker 1: costs from overseas and the translation is a bit a
- 35:25Speaker 1: big fact, a bit of a factor. Curious if others
- 35:29Speaker 1: considered purchasing the deck rights and having it translated and
- 35:33Speaker 1: allowing the current owner the honor of keeping the original
- 35:36Speaker 1: seems like it would decrease. This would decrease the sentimental
- 35:40Speaker 1: cost as well as shipping thoughts. And I did not
- 35:46Speaker 1: think about this of just being like, hey, I just
- 35:49Speaker 1: want the rights to it. I don't necessarily need the deck.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Does it change anything?
- 35:56Speaker 3: I actually think that's kind of a neat thought with
- 36:02Speaker 3: foreign language decks, the potential of your Like, I would
- 36:05Speaker 3: like to buy your deck, but because foreign language deck
- 36:09Speaker 3: shipping is always the killer, and then I'm gonna want
- 36:11Speaker 3: it in English. What I really want is a picture
- 36:14Speaker 3: of you tearing it up after you've transferred it to
- 36:19Speaker 3: me on the master bolt, or either if you don't
- 36:22Speaker 3: have a physical copy, I can order my replacement for
- 36:25Speaker 3: less than it was going to cost to ship the
- 36:28Speaker 3: deck over here.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Anyways, I guess I didn't think about that because if
- 36:31Speaker 1: they have that copy, they can waiver the rights and.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Yeah, then they can say, oh, I have the physical copy,
- 36:37Speaker 3: and then you'd have to keep your sales thing, and
- 36:39Speaker 3: like four of those things happen, and Gigi's going to
- 36:42Speaker 3: rethink this whole.
- 36:44Speaker 1: I'm complicated. I mean, if it's a person you trust enough,
- 36:53Speaker 1: I mean that, I mean it does right, Like if
- 36:55Speaker 1: I was just like, hey, like we don't got to
- 36:56Speaker 1: do shipping, We don't got to do nothing. Right. You
- 37:00Speaker 1: literally can just transfer me the rights. I'll order a
- 37:03Speaker 1: copy in my language and we're good like. And again,
- 37:11Speaker 1: if it's a person I know, a person I trust,
- 37:15Speaker 1: keep the deck right and then we can both play it.
- 37:19Speaker 1: You're just giving me the rights to play it at
- 37:21Speaker 1: certain events.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Well, you got to remember their current rule says copies
- 37:26Speaker 3: can only be played. Yeah, you would, you would have swnership. Well,
- 37:31Speaker 3: so you would. You would print the copy and you'd
- 37:33Speaker 3: keep it in the master roll and they just say
- 37:35Speaker 3: your friend and they can play the original works just fine. Yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 3: I yeah, I definitely. The ability to print decks in
- 37:44Speaker 3: any language makes uh me language independent. When I go
- 37:51Speaker 3: to buy competitive decks for miscellaneous junk, I'm often buying
- 37:58Speaker 3: miscellaneous junk off of name, which means the foreign name
- 38:02Speaker 3: isn't going to do anything for me because it's too
- 38:04Speaker 3: hard to explain the joke. Then when you get a
- 38:06Speaker 3: good name, especially when it's like a Thaie deck or
- 38:11Speaker 3: a Vietnamese death, and we're all stupid Americans and we're
- 38:14Speaker 3: just like, look at the squiggly lines.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I thought that was a quite you
- 38:25Speaker 1: know again a quite interesting thing, like you transfer me
- 38:27Speaker 1: ownership of the deck that allows me to play the clone.
- 38:32Speaker 1: We're friends in the master ball, allowing you to continue
- 38:35Speaker 1: to play the deck wherever you are. How does that
- 38:38Speaker 1: work with their current rules set too? They have said
- 38:44Speaker 1: that a.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Deck can only be registered once per event.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Yeah, so in the case two event, I mean it's
- 38:53Speaker 1: in the case show up with a.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Fraud, whoever registers first gets to play it.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Well, I was gonna say it's it's well because I'm
- 38:59Speaker 1: thinking more.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Is it or is it? Who's No?
- 39:04Speaker 3: I my my expectation with how GIGI things work, I
- 39:12Speaker 3: do expect that I will be able to register fraud
- 39:14Speaker 3: here for an event and then twelve hours later, uh,
- 39:19Speaker 3: some way will be able to register fraud for the
- 39:21Speaker 3: European Vault Tour on the same weekend, and it won't.
- 39:27Speaker 1: I don't.
- 39:27Speaker 3: I think my expectations is like the the tournament instances
- 39:35Speaker 3: are not communicating with each other, right to go, like,
- 39:40Speaker 3: is this registered in another event currently? Because then that
- 39:43Speaker 3: will also if they do have that, you know that's
- 39:46Speaker 3: going to get bugged out because it's going to be
- 39:48Speaker 3: registered to a stupid event somewhere that never gets closed
- 39:53Speaker 3: and your dene can't be played because they can't close
- 39:55Speaker 3: an event, And yeah, that play style to check, right,
- 40:01Speaker 3: So I do absolutely think that. I mean, two vaulteurs
- 40:05Speaker 3: in different places were happening at the same time, the
- 40:08Speaker 3: same deck could be played and win both of them.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Is this something we're willing to try in twenty twenty four.
- 40:17Speaker 3: I mean, I don't personally have a bunch of a
- 40:21Speaker 3: problem with it, although it does exacerbate the problems that
- 40:26Speaker 3: some people in the community have with people sharing decks
- 40:29Speaker 3: and certain decks being at the top all the time,
- 40:32Speaker 3: and what does make that worse?
- 40:34Speaker 1: Yeah, well no.
- 40:37Speaker 2: But it's there going to be there regardless, Like no,
- 40:40Speaker 2: because they're not regardless. If it's in two different areas,
- 40:43Speaker 2: it falls into one demographic when you're playing it, you
- 40:46Speaker 2: don't expect to see that. So it's narrowing this.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Wely have this strange solution that we've only been talking
- 40:52Speaker 1: about for like a year now, but we don't. We
- 40:56Speaker 1: don't actually want it. It's like the unwritten rule. It
- 40:59Speaker 1: can't talk about it. That is just making those decks
- 41:03Speaker 1: go bye bye.
- 41:05Speaker 2: I do think that after it takes a vault bye
- 41:08Speaker 2: bye for until it's brought back for worlds and then
- 41:11Speaker 2: it's live.
- 41:12Speaker 1: What if it takes two vaults at the same time, Yeah,
- 41:17Speaker 1: so it just explode in.
- 41:20Speaker 2: You know, honestly, if they're the same weekend and two
- 41:23Speaker 2: different locales, I am actually there's nothing that can really
- 41:26Speaker 2: be done about it. But I think after that weekend
- 41:28Speaker 2: it's gone. It's out of the play. And that's fine,
- 41:31Speaker 2: but that's.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Not how it works.
- 41:33Speaker 2: And there's no, no, no, I I agree.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Sending decks or tempest sending decks or anything right now.
- 41:39Speaker 1: No, there's there's zero talk about it, zero thought about,
- 41:43Speaker 1: zero interest in it.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Well, if we can go ahead and pass down, Hey,
- 41:48Speaker 2: you already won, why would we not just to send
- 41:51Speaker 2: the decks that has won.
- 41:54Speaker 1: It just comes back next year and the cycle continues.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Then had and remove the deck again, remove the deck
- 42:03Speaker 2: after worlds. That takes worlds. But I don't I don't know.
- 42:07Speaker 1: This is this is what what what? What is that
- 42:09Speaker 1: thing called when you start start sympathizing with your captor
- 42:15Speaker 1: hell sink syndrome? No, I forget what it is, but
- 42:19Speaker 1: that that's what that's what the situation is. This is
- 42:24Speaker 1: like like we either do it or we don't like
- 42:27Speaker 1: rip off the band aid or like stop talking about
- 42:29Speaker 1: it because either they're good, Like they need to come
- 42:33Speaker 1: out and say yes stock stock than you wrong, Cy
- 42:37Speaker 1: in Europe, you were close, Not really I was class.
- 42:42Speaker 1: I was like did I just like you just town
- 42:46Speaker 1: in Germany. It's gone. But like they need to come
- 42:52Speaker 1: out and say either they're they're gonna look into it
- 42:54Speaker 1: or they're not, because I think if they say, hey,
- 42:57Speaker 1: this is something we're definitely looking at, that might stop
- 43:00Speaker 1: people from sharing that so much.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Four to six keyboards years.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Four to six key forards, key forge you.
- 43:08Speaker 3: I think what you're saying there is.
- 43:12Speaker 1: What I like.
- 43:13Speaker 3: What you're saying is like, if they're even considering it,
- 43:16Speaker 3: they should say something. Because the thing that I'll piss
- 43:19Speaker 3: people off the most is if, in traditional GGI fashion,
- 43:24Speaker 3: on a Tuesday before tour or a week after a vault,
- 43:29Speaker 3: they're like, so we're adding this thing where a deck
- 43:31Speaker 3: gets assented, and if it was played and you just
- 43:34Speaker 3: let your buddy play your deck, anyone with it, and
- 43:36Speaker 3: now you've lost it because they didn't say anything. And
- 43:39Speaker 3: now this rule just goes into effect mid season like
- 43:43Speaker 3: changing band lists and stuff. Just hey, here's a mid
- 43:46Speaker 3: season change enjoy guys.
- 43:49Speaker 2: In that manner before they announced one. Hopefully we're getting
- 43:52Speaker 2: vault tours announced very very, very very soon. I'm hopeful
- 43:57Speaker 2: for the turn of the year. I know Thanksgiving and
- 44:01Speaker 2: Christmas here is a very busy time, but I think
- 44:03Speaker 2: January one is a very appropriate time. But hopefully they
- 44:08Speaker 2: can be super transparent and clear right from the beginning
- 44:12Speaker 2: that you're going to go ahead and ascend the deck
- 44:15Speaker 2: that won or if they don't again, I think you're
- 44:19Speaker 2: stuck all the way through the year just seeing we're
- 44:22Speaker 2: not sending and so it's going to be a problem again.
- 44:26Speaker 3: M who knows.
- 44:28Speaker 1: I think that you're like, they should be super transparent.
- 44:32Speaker 1: It's adorable you think that that ever happens.
- 44:36Speaker 2: We can go ahead. We can go ahead and tell
- 44:38Speaker 2: them so that this can actually come to fruition. That's
- 44:40Speaker 2: what we want with them. Oh no, no, it's not
- 44:43Speaker 2: that they're not going to steal our ideas and use them.
- 44:45Speaker 2: So at least use this and help the community. Because yes,
- 44:50Speaker 2: decks are now able to be copied and be able
- 44:53Speaker 2: to be used in multiple spaces, so they should have
- 44:56Speaker 2: a plan. They should definitely talk about it.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Given the ability to break things we will do it
- 45:01Speaker 1: because that's how card gamers work.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Gamers, all right.
- 45:04Speaker 3: So so having the fun and coming back on to
- 45:07Speaker 3: Papa's questions, like the Wookie, you had a deck printed?
- 45:10Speaker 3: Did anybody else here have have you ordered a deck reprint?
- 45:15Speaker 1: You walk no, I know, Ben Ben got I haven't yet,
- 45:20Speaker 1: but I will.
- 45:22Speaker 3: I have not, and currently outside of my free one,
- 45:27Speaker 3: don't see it happening. And I have a couple of
- 45:30Speaker 3: decent foreign language decks, but you wouldn't reprint with all
- 45:34Speaker 3: of it. I get a free one.
- 45:37Speaker 2: He gets a free one, and I just don't. The
- 45:39Speaker 2: honest truth is I don't have any foreign language decks
- 45:42Speaker 2: that really jump to that position. I have one of
- 45:46Speaker 2: our French gnading decks that I had, but it's not
- 45:50Speaker 2: a deck that I have a ton of fun with.
- 45:53Speaker 2: It's not a deck that's super competitive, and so there's
- 45:55Speaker 2: no reason to invest in here.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Here's a question for you in your situation. You walk
- 46:00Speaker 3: as if you owned Smoke right now, yeap, would you
- 46:04Speaker 3: have it reprinted or would you not?
- 46:06Speaker 2: Bother So, I think there's a couple different reasons that
- 46:13Speaker 2: you look something like Smoke. If you have a gauntlet,
- 46:16Speaker 2: if you're that type of player that is going to
- 46:18Speaker 2: run it and to be able to practice. I think
- 46:20Speaker 2: that having it in English would be a great use,
- 46:22Speaker 2: and so I could see cloning it for that purpose.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Smoke has some tools. I don't think that it's proper
- 46:32Speaker 2: meta at this point in time, and so if I
- 46:36Speaker 2: was printing just to go ahead and take to my
- 46:38Speaker 2: Vault Tour season, I probably wouldn't be doing that because
- 46:41Speaker 2: that's not the deck I'd be choosing. But I think
- 46:44Speaker 2: for running a gauntlet, yes, I think that if I
- 46:47Speaker 2: found a deck that I'm like, this is a great deck.
- 46:51Speaker 2: I want to play this in vaults. If this was
- 46:55Speaker 2: two years ago and I could go ahead and play
- 46:56Speaker 2: Smoke at Philly and it was in English and I
- 46:59Speaker 2: could have bought it, I would have you hard.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Sure, But I'm like, right now, like you had a
- 47:05Speaker 3: deck that you did but out with that's foreign language.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Yes, if I had a deck that was a foreign
- 47:12Speaker 2: language that I felt comfortable and wanted to take the
- 47:15Speaker 2: ball to her, I felt that this was the deck.
- 47:17Speaker 2: I definitely think this is an amazing tool that is
- 47:20Speaker 2: out there. To be able to print the deck in English, it's.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Like I'm I'm sitting on pu pan which is a
- 47:27Speaker 3: pretty good Ala deck. And then I also have a
- 47:30Speaker 3: pretty cool ultra gravitch on deck in Chinese. Yeah, it's
- 47:36Speaker 3: like a high nineties or low nineties now whatever, and
- 47:39Speaker 3: it's a pretty cool deck. But I don't I don't
- 47:44Speaker 3: think I'll ever have them reprinted because I'm never there.
- 47:48Speaker 3: I'll only ever play them on TCL if I even
- 47:51Speaker 3: played them there, and only and only because of something
- 47:55Speaker 3: like ABR where we actually have to dig beyond on
- 48:00Speaker 3: our best deck.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Like, but that's what I'm saying. It is because it's
- 48:03Speaker 2: not your best deck, you will be going to dig.
- 48:06Speaker 3: I mean, with gr it's not even in intention for
- 48:14Speaker 3: consideration anymore, right, it's just it's it's not even worth
- 48:18Speaker 3: looking at. So no point never reprinting this stuff.
- 48:21Speaker 2: But I'm saying if you had a deck that was
- 48:23Speaker 2: a foreign language deck that fell into I think that
- 48:27Speaker 2: I think it.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Was in foreign language, yes, I would reprint it to
- 48:31Speaker 3: be in English, but mostly because we expect that to
- 48:34Speaker 3: be a requirement to play them at US Bolt Tours
- 48:38Speaker 3: next year. Like I think you're going to have to
- 48:41Speaker 3: have your deck printed in English to play a US
- 48:44Speaker 3: Belt Tour next year. You're not going to get away
- 48:46Speaker 3: with playing foreign language decks anymore.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I will say that having brought smoke to Phillies
- 48:54Speaker 2: like it did not, there were individuals that did not
- 49:02Speaker 2: feel as comfortable as I did with the cards, and
- 49:05Speaker 2: so that impacted the speed of play for others. And
- 49:08Speaker 2: you do have to think about your opponent in that manner.
- 49:12Speaker 2: If it can be in English to solve that issue.
- 49:14Speaker 2: I think that the deck reprinting is great.
- 49:16Speaker 1: I think that you Sheep just brought up a real
- 49:19Speaker 1: strange point because if they're going to say it has
- 49:23Speaker 1: to be in.
- 49:23Speaker 3: English, current GG rules say if we're playing in a
- 49:31Speaker 3: non primary English language country, it's English and whatever language
- 49:36Speaker 3: they select. So English decks in theory will always be
- 49:42Speaker 3: okay to play everywhere.
- 49:43Speaker 1: At Sure, I am at let's just say KFC next year, right,
- 49:49Speaker 1: I am at World and I have a non English deck.
- 49:53Speaker 3: You'll have to have a printed in English for it.
- 49:55Speaker 1: But I'm borrowing it from a friend.
- 50:00Speaker 3: To be played at that level event, it's going to
- 50:02Speaker 3: need to be in English.
- 50:03Speaker 1: So am I allowed to use the clone that is
- 50:05Speaker 1: in English?
- 50:07Speaker 3: No?
- 50:07Speaker 1: You'd have to go, well, yeah, because the question their
- 50:12Speaker 1: rules say that if it has to be in English,
- 50:14Speaker 1: and I have to play the clone. Yeah, well, but
- 50:17Speaker 1: I am allowed but according to their rules, I am
- 50:20Speaker 1: allowed to borrow decks from people on my friends list,
- 50:24Speaker 1: but I can't play the clone. That is, I have
- 50:28Speaker 1: to then play the foreign language deck.
- 50:31Speaker 3: I wonder if their rule will be, is you have
- 50:33Speaker 3: to have the original sitting next to you. If they'll
- 50:36Speaker 3: even make a rule for that, that's interesting. It'll be
- 50:40Speaker 3: interesting to see if they actually enforce a must be
- 50:42Speaker 3: an English rule. We don't know that.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, if you scan in like when you hand
- 50:47Speaker 1: them the Master of All deck or the deck and
- 50:50Speaker 1: they scan to the Master of Ball and then you
- 50:51Speaker 1: play the you know, if you just play the copy,
- 50:54Speaker 1: like I can't imagine. Marcus would be like, no, you
- 50:58Speaker 1: can't do that, right.
- 50:59Speaker 2: You can't.
- 51:00Speaker 1: They said you cannot do that. That was literally clones
- 51:04Speaker 1: are only allowed to be played by the owner of
- 51:07Speaker 1: the deck. Done you think if you have it physically
- 51:12Speaker 1: with you? I said, that's their rule. Like, he's just
- 51:16Speaker 1: following in the rules, the rules. You know, it's not
- 51:21Speaker 1: we don't follow rules often, but in this instance, hands did.
- 51:25Speaker 2: You hear, Wookie, he's a gamer who's going to break
- 51:28Speaker 2: the rules. That's what he was looking for and guess what,
- 51:32Speaker 2: This is a problem that we found. But it's early
- 51:35Speaker 2: enough to be able to.
- 51:36Speaker 1: This is what happens when you leave us card gamers
- 51:38Speaker 1: to our own devices without clear intentions of what you
- 51:42Speaker 1: want us to do.
- 51:44Speaker 2: I think there's clear intentions to break it.
- 51:48Speaker 3: So that's but what we found is how we can
- 51:50Speaker 3: continue to bamboozle our opponent and with foreign language decks
- 51:56Speaker 3: even in the future.
- 51:58Speaker 2: I actually, I actually think that you're going to have
- 52:00Speaker 2: bigger issues, and it's it's an odd conundrum to put
- 52:04Speaker 2: international individuals into. So KFC for Worlds is established and
- 52:11Speaker 2: run through Minnesota, but are you going to require everyone
- 52:15Speaker 2: who's coming in from a different country to go ahead
- 52:17Speaker 2: and have their deck translated into English?
- 52:20Speaker 3: It's clear ahead of time. I don't actually think it's
- 52:23Speaker 3: that big of a tax, right, Like you say a
- 52:28Speaker 3: deck's can have to be in English, and if you're
- 52:30Speaker 3: planning on coming, it's just part of your thing. And
- 52:33Speaker 3: the only other thing they would probably want to do
- 52:35Speaker 3: is make a like I will pick my deck up
- 52:37Speaker 3: at world shipping option, right, So yeah, I would want
- 52:40Speaker 3: international shipping just be like you click some box coming
- 52:43Speaker 3: to worlds, We'll pick up there.
- 52:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna say, because the next thing, let's say I
- 52:47Speaker 1: open a box right before I come and I open
- 52:50Speaker 1: some spice.
- 52:53Speaker 3: Actually, if they actually make language requirements there, that is
- 53:00Speaker 3: a real problem. Like a deck that got open and
- 53:02Speaker 3: foreign language the week before KFC would be very hard
- 53:05Speaker 3: to play KFC potentially.
- 53:09Speaker 1: And no DT is allowed.
- 53:13Speaker 3: I like foreign foreign decks would be allowed. That's pretty good.
- 53:19Speaker 1: This this this.
- 53:21Speaker 3: What matters at all. But I like it. I mean,
- 53:25Speaker 3: I think just no DT decks allowed it would be
- 53:27Speaker 3: an acceptable rule.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Well, it might affect the Lions. I don't know what language.
- 53:31Speaker 3: I mean, there are like four guys on the East
- 53:34Speaker 3: Coast who would get real Salty and one Alliance player.
- 53:38Speaker 1: I was gonna say, it's I think it's mainly Alliance.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I don't know what language frog Frog legs Texas.
- 53:43Speaker 3: And I don't. I don't know either.
- 53:47Speaker 2: I do think that the translations do open up some
- 53:51Speaker 2: potential decks that other players didn't feel comfortable or confident,
- 53:55Speaker 2: you know, putting money towards and definitely for Alliance, that
- 53:58Speaker 2: opens up some new avenues. So I think it's a
- 54:01Speaker 2: it's a nice choice that has offered.
- 54:03Speaker 3: I know something else that was pointed out that is
- 54:07Speaker 3: an interesting thought is on the free Vault Tour decks
- 54:10Speaker 3: for Alliance players, are they getting three free printed decks
- 54:14Speaker 3: or are they going to allow you to print just
- 54:18Speaker 3: the Alliance pods for an Alliance like that's actually my
- 54:21Speaker 3: preference would be is being able to name my deck
- 54:25Speaker 3: my alliance and then have it printed with that name
- 54:28Speaker 3: on it with the three pods. That's yeah, because because
- 54:32Speaker 3: the back of the cards don't mean anything because you
- 54:34Speaker 3: got to sleep them anyway. So it can say googer
- 54:37Speaker 3: SNOTS Alliance deck because the front of the cards will
- 54:40Speaker 3: have the original deck name at the bottom.
- 54:44Speaker 1: That is your name deck now alliance goober SNOTS. Okay,
- 54:49Speaker 1: what what houses should I select for Google SNOTS Alliance?
- 54:52Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 54:53Speaker 3: It's definitely got Mars.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I was thinking it's an option in.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Right, right, Well, then.
- 55:01Speaker 3: This is no good.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Definitely you're gonna have to logos is obvious, right. But
- 55:10Speaker 1: we had a note that says I need all the niffles.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Can somebody make their custom deck name? All your niffles
- 55:18Speaker 1: belong to us?
- 55:20Speaker 2: All right, So it's dis logos redemption sanctum.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Sorry. In Shadows Star Alliance Untamed? So what should I pick?
- 55:29Speaker 1: Dis logos? I don't remember preview cards of any of
- 55:38Speaker 1: their houses getting me excited.
- 55:41Speaker 3: I know it wasn't Star Alliants. I just looked at
- 55:43Speaker 3: that one.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Just go like shadows logoske be that bad? Right? Hope
- 55:51Speaker 1: for coda end up with AOA. All right, speaking of
- 56:00Speaker 1: cards from Prophetic Visions, should we get into the spoilers
- 56:03Speaker 1: that we received from update seventeen? Okay, all right, Drafts
- 56:10Speaker 1: Corps obligatory spoiler warning. Hey guys, if you want to
- 56:15Speaker 1: hear spoilers, get the heck out of here because we're
- 56:18Speaker 1: about to talk about spoilers.
- 56:20Speaker 2: All right, you want to hear about spoilers.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Welcome to the warm spoiler embrace. I forgot about that portion.
- 56:27Speaker 1: All Right, Star Alliance and I'm Tamed is what we're
- 56:31Speaker 1: going over today. We're gonna start out with Star Alliance
- 56:34Speaker 1: with refit Pip November. Every time you play it play
- 56:38Speaker 1: you may move an upgrade in play to another creature
- 56:42Speaker 1: or its fate is the strain and upgrade attached to
- 56:45Speaker 1: a friendly creature, but upgrades don't matter. Yeah, that was
- 56:50Speaker 1: that common?
- 56:51Speaker 3: Could you imagine having three or four cons?
- 56:53Speaker 2: This beauty with no upgrades to move around, I mean
- 56:57Speaker 2: to move around.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Oh no, there'll be upgrades that are absolutely one hundred
- 57:01Speaker 1: percent linked to this card, like you're at least gonna
- 57:03Speaker 1: get one upgrade.
- 57:05Speaker 3: And you're gonna get No, you can't.
- 57:06Speaker 2: You cannot link that with a common dog.
- 57:09Speaker 1: You can no, what do you mean you can't? They
- 57:15Speaker 1: can do whatever they want. They could ruin this deck.
- 57:19Speaker 1: They all star Alliance decks lickety split.
- 57:22Speaker 2: Even this fate destroying upgrade attached to a friendly creature.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Yeah that's okay. Yeah, I don't has a fate, but
- 57:33Speaker 3: like it should be.
- 57:34Speaker 2: Like there's good fates. This is there if if you're
- 57:39Speaker 2: not playing with any upgrades or like, no, no upgrades
- 57:43Speaker 2: are way too too uncommon.
- 57:46Speaker 3: This is not a common card. This right common? And
- 57:51Speaker 3: if it said play you know, move all the upgrades
- 57:55Speaker 3: however you want or destroyed like that card would be
- 57:59Speaker 3: cool and common.
- 58:02Speaker 2: Why could we not go back to some of those
- 58:03Speaker 2: choice cards where if it has the upgrade or do
- 58:06Speaker 2: something else. That's the other one route that I would
- 58:09Speaker 2: go with cards super trash okay bad? Would it be
- 58:13Speaker 2: even worthwhile? And uncommon? No? You can give zero if
- 58:19Speaker 2: there are two Okay, boys, if there are two amber
- 58:23Speaker 2: Pips on it at uncommon, are you still like.
- 58:25Speaker 3: That one as is one Amber Pip uncommon. I could
- 58:30Speaker 3: deal with this card because every once in a while
- 58:32Speaker 3: it's going to do really silly things that are fun.
- 58:36Speaker 2: So rare though, to make you excited.
- 58:40Speaker 3: If you get uncommon, I'm only going to have one
- 58:44Speaker 3: of them. I'm okay with this.
- 58:45Speaker 2: So do you think sorry in the emmited playpool is
- 58:48Speaker 2: not meaning that you're gonna get one of them? You
- 58:50Speaker 2: know that?
- 58:51Speaker 1: So so in this image you totally got this chick
- 58:55Speaker 1: in the front throwing her blaster to the hair. Dude. Yeah,
- 59:03Speaker 1: and so yeah, Pompadoor McGhee is gonna start firing off
- 59:07Speaker 1: that blaster. Do you think that means this is a
- 59:09Speaker 1: hint that we're gonna see blasters again in this set? God,
- 59:13Speaker 1: I hope not.
- 59:15Speaker 3: I mean, well, let's look at a striker then, because
- 59:18Speaker 3: I'm already bored with Refrit.
- 59:20Speaker 2: But there are blasters dress score in all three of these.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Striker, he is a two power robot also has
- 59:32Speaker 1: a blaster. After rep discard the top three cards of
- 59:36Speaker 1: your opponent's stuck, put one of the discarded cards on
- 59:40Speaker 1: the bottom of your on the bottom of your opponent's deck.
- 59:47Speaker 3: It's like, I mean, you, if this guy gets to
- 59:52Speaker 3: go multiple times, you can filter them to crappy hands
- 59:55Speaker 3: at some point. If they're playing deep or if they're
- 59:59Speaker 3: playing in gr they're just going thank you, thank you,
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: thank you, thank you. Kind of have another.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Bad it's really really weak and only two power. There's
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: some cool things that can happen with robots. I think
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: the benefit of reap plus doing something is fine. But yeah,
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: against gr this is.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: This isn't always a good fect.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: No no, no. That's that's why I'm saying no, no, no,
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: it's not When is it ever?
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: I mean, at the start of the game, I look
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: at three of your cards and I put your worst
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: creature on the bottom of your deck. And then I
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: do it again and next turn and I put your
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: worst creature from a different house on the bottom of
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: the deck.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: That isn't terrible, not good.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: Do you care enough? Do you care enough to kill
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Precision Striker?
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: Okay, except he's little and crummy. He should be.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Able to stand, he should be bigger.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Because I'm playing something that stealing too damage and I
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: just want to remove a body from the work. Yep,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: that's pretty much. That is his death noise. Now every
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: time everyone kills a precision striker, you have to go,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: all right, all right, delet doll three three T three
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: R delet three power robot the leader after reap, or
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: turn two enemy creatures to their owner's hands, fate perge
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: the most powerful friendly creature.
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: Both of these effects are pretty good, Like.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: This is snudge plus oneful friendly.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: You got to remember fates are played under a card
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: and then you're.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: That's your opponent.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: Yes, that's right, friend means your opponent.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Your opponent. I'm still getting used to that.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: I mean the three power is a little bit weak,
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: but look that reap. So I get a reap, I'm
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: gaining an amber and I'm returning to enemy.
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: That is yes, I mean it depends on what you're returning.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: But yeah, pretty solid like these. And they could never
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: have creatures on the board correct.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: And this is coming in at a common So all
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: three of these were common. This here having multiples.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't. I don't hate this card by any means,
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: which I will now that we said that this guy's
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: gonna go down to return one enemy creature.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: No, don't do that, well, I do like it more
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: when you have like multiple houses out to hand clog.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: If you're just returning the same you're able to play
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: quite a few out. But I do I do like deleted.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I like I like deleter.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Okay, all right, moving into untamed Chunk evermore one. Yeah,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: it's a cool name. Yeah, I like it November. Every
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: time you play it, play you may give two creatures
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: a plus one power counter double the number of plus
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: one power counters on each creature. Fate give each enemy
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: creature to plus one power counters.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Why don't know why they don't.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: If this card doesn't come with the destroy and draw
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: cards for power or weigh something that like takes a
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: bunch of amber for power counters being on creatures. Yes,
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: get rid of this again at common.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Maybe there will be a new that's like, uh, get
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: removed fifteen power counters and fortunes for free.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Six six h SI Yes, yeah, well, and that's it's
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: hard until you have two copies of this and then
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: you're already there. Yeah, except I'm really sad that this
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: is at a common slot again. Why is this that
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: a common slot?
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: Well, the plus three plus two plus one card that
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: was an uncommon I mean the fact, I don't know.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: I don't love these cards. I don't hate them. Again,
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: I want to make on common. I don't mind this
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: kind of a fact.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Game them in this set like this is plus one
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: power Counters has never made the game go faster. I
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: mean that is not the only goal. But but you know.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: But some people like fat. You know, you gotta let
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: them have their Fat vs.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Gnomte skirmish while your opponent has is for power. By
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: the way, well, your opponent has more ember than you.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Envious vena might gains poison Fate for the rest of
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: your turn. Each enemy creature gains poison.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: Oh my god, no no please no, absolutely.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: Set out and poison is also not very good. Yes,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: and effect is trash.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, unless you like have to be fighting,
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: this Fate effect is super trash. Okay again, I wasn't
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: going to fight you anyways because fighting is losing.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: So okay, So again, deleted Fate perge the most powerful
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: friendly creature. That's good.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: That's that's pretty good.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Refit destroying upgrade Uh not a good Fate will not
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: consistently hit Chunk evermore. Give each enemy creature two plus
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: one power man, I could really care less. I mean,
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: it's okay, but it's not here. Here for the rest
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: of your turn, each enemy creature gains poison when this
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: is correct. Well is it a one?
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: Yes? What's what I mean? It's it's this is no
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: real better different than because if I were power skirmish
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: creature snufflegator. Yeah, this is just another snufflegator.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: I think I think stufflegator needs to be discovered. Yeah,
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: I think that's what sneeds happened.
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I get ready. He comes with niffles. He
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: might as well be a niffle for.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: The rest of your turn. So I play this on
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: new she you reveal it because the fate will reveal
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: in your turn. So for the rest of your turn,
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: I just can't go ahead.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: And yeah, that's what I say. But if you do,
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: they your creatures. Yeah, this card is garbage, so he
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: can quit talking about.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: It, Okay, thank you. Actually, does this mean that fates,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: like all the different fates are gonna have triggers, like
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: at the beginning of somebody's turn or cars.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Have been like after somebody fights.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Or to this venomie, this terrible fate and then they
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: could trigger it at the end of their turn when
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: it doesn't matter like.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: Well, they won't know about it.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: Yes, right, and you you choose the fate you're putting
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: it under, so you have a good idea of when
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: that kind of fate would dirt.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Yes, because remember you'll have an active fate and an
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: inactive fate, which is why you need to order your
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Sparkly disco balls, your purple fate, your fate balls.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: Your fate balls.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: So yes, all right.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: How about.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Two power fungus after another creature enters play put two
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: plus one power counters on lamb at my solium fate
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: until the end of turn, the most powerful enemy creature
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: gains taunt.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: Okay, another garbage fait, another garbage power counter thing.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I don't want to not choose untamed actually tress card.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: Yeah okay, uh again, I don't actually hate this card,
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: but it's totally based on it having combo potential that
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: is not just big creature.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: That's where it seems like it's going. Should right, maybe
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: should we check the reprints.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: They don't have any bropnar So.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: Let's check the reprints because I mean, I think if
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: you have.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: All these reprints don't help.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Yeah, and if you're if you're pushing out a lot
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: of creatures, you're just making a larger lament Icelia like.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Star Alliance, Scout, Pete into the Warp, Navigator Ali Quantrino Flux,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: and the Book of l e Q.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: Okay, so Pete is fine. Into the Warp is and
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: Navigator Ali is garbage. Flux is good. Book of Eliq
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: is crap shoot like has combo potential but generally but yeah, yes, okay.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: So and then the three cards up top are zero
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: rob zero three, so.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Not looking hot.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: Okay, so seven eight cards and they have a total
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: value of eight yep, yeah, okay, that's bad. And the
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: most of it's on one card.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: All right. How about are untamed persistent hunting look better
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: or not a bad card?
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: Life card, life.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Card, amount of creatures people are playing right now, it
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: might not be bad card Amberfly and Jervy.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: So like Amberfly can get plus power counters so you
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: can fight and capture more often. Bad Guard Jervy Jersey
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: is a good card.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Is good persistence hunting. I'm okay with guys.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Just tell me to select untamed is.
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: Good and non gr because you're not just like flopping
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: your deck over as fast a good.
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: So I think that the after reap search your deck
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: for a card and put in your hand.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Is gonna die.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: He's gonna die, it's gonna be. It's going to force it.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: So the scrap is to get him up.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: And ready and usable within the turn. He's gonna die.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Everybody kill the witch.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: I agree, we can't see that.
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: Yeah, so I don't think.
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: I think he's shorter on this.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: We'ren't super excited about amber Scout's coming out, although I've
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: actually not hated playing most amber Sky's games. But it's
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: a crapshoot on how house enhancements hit. But so far
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: the previews for prophetic visions are not and we didn't
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: talk about that. The anomalies are.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Coming back either, coming back, and.
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: We have two new cards and anomalies. There is this
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: an Tana Goage.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Yeah, sure, let's.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: Armor alien cyborg play. You make Grief graft, You make
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: Grief an enemy creature onto Antna Goage, and then after
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: rep deal damage equal to the grafted creature's power to
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: each creature. So it's creature control.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it is a creature.
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: Like when you play him, you just get to basically
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: kill a creature and it's.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Just basically is a board white because it also does
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: it to himself.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: Yeah, but I mean like it's it's a kill spell herminology.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Now this says you graft an enemy creatures.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I like this dude. Actually he's good,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: he seems fine.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: And then we got a new dragon.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Now is this saying that these two veteran qy Ford
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: players are these are these going to show up?
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: Yeah, they're putting the anomalies in.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: That's why Info Info Ancer and Memelist are coming back.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Yeah. So is a lateral shifting ghosts for him?
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Nice? Oh NICs back?
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: Yes, but there's another dragon Trioch the Wise six Power
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: Dragons age. After we choose a creature until the start
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: of your next turn, that creature gains invulnerable. Okay, so
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: he's gonna lane.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: So you can reap and then it cannot be destroyed
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: or don't damage. I mean he could protect your jervy
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: he protect.
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: And then they have this vote going for which anomaly
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: are you most hoping to get in a dack And
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: this this got some some I got some traction because
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: he is cool, like a cool looking card, right, like yeah,
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: but lateral shift obviously there by the wide margin, and
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: nobody wants nuzzic because nisick is ghost form is way
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: low on the list.
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: Bowls not yeah image, Yeah, I have never I don't know.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Time quake just doesn't do a lot for me.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Guys, No, time quake's a back guard. Well it's ghost,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: hold on, hold on ghost far amount of jervy. Yeah,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: that could be gross.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: No, because fighting so that once it reaps archive ghost
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: for him.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you need.
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: Yeah, you need to put it on an action guard.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: You need it on candle unit, you need it all.
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: But that was like good enough. People tried that stuff. Yeah,
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: it's on your reci dentist.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: Lateral shift just has so much value from it.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Hand disruption and you're basically taking the best card from
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: their hand. Pretty good. Pretty good. Literal shift equals real good.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I wonder what the lower set numbers, If that means
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: these pop up more oft than or is this just
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: gonna still not You're not going to see him as often.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: I wonder if they're going to be at skybeast rate
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: or traditional anomaly rate. Does skybeests definitely seem to be
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: higher than traditional anomalies?
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Oh you say that? What about mmmm are gigantic creature rate.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Mmmm.
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: Yeah, well I hope well yeah, I mean those aren't
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: as common as we want, but they're not as rare.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Will be interesting to see. But boys, I think this
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: I was complete this episode.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Did you not want to read the prophecies and fates explored?
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: We can read that.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: No, No, it's ten o'clock and it's time for us
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: to sleep.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: No.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: I honestly we need to say something for next week. Guys.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Yeah, they've they've filled their quota. I can't find it.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: It's in the show notes Google.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: Did we even do the story and shattle cards?
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: Yeah, so we got stuff to do next week. Next
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: week we'll do older news.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I like the add ons that we didn't talk about.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Well we don't we already had these two, didn't we?
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: We've already had only did two houses last time. I
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: know we've already had these two fates.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Oh no, that's why I was saying. It's just the
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: cards at the bottom. Do you have cards?
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: And then you have the embellish, which is a two
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: power imp each time and enemy creature is destroyed, steal
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: one that seems okay. Destroy. The most powerful enemy creature
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: is the fated friendly creature destroy Oh, I'm sorry, I
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: need to zoom in, hold on zooming in. Now there
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: we go. Rage reset doesn't seem very logo. See but
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Pip November. Every time you play it, play destroy any
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: number of friendly creatures, drawing card for each creature destroyed.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: This way, fate discard your hand. That could be good
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: if you know you've activated by track under they forged
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: a key or something like that. Uh, Chummy is a
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: three power shadows dude, he's an alf before fight If
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: this creature, if the creature Chummy fights is the least
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: powerful enemy creature, steal one and then fate your opponent.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Pay your opponent too. And then I think we've talked
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: about Prince Bouf foe. He is, uh maybe the best.
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: We talked about him being changed. We've definitely talked about
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: We've talked about this stuff before he changed.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: No, we haven't changed, but the change because he's now
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: enhanced with a number and a draw and fate your
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: opponent games for Ember. Oh, he's good now. I don't
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: know if he was good before, but he's good now.
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: He was before.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: He's really good now because he's Prince Bufo. Please don't
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: change him.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: Prince Buffo and you saw above ensign Clark from Star
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: Alliance with three power Enhance Amber and capture Fate destroyer
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: friendly artifact.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Where is he? Oh? Yeah, and some Clark. Yeah, we
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: can go over sorry in and all that next week.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: I don't know. What did you guys think of the
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: chance to now have tokens for your house?
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: What do you mean, oh, the metal house tokens?
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: And I was like, does not care? Well?
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: I got the ball, okay, of course you did.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: So, DRez I looked at this and I'm like yes,
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: And then I'm like, how often am I gonna do this?
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: When I got the Woe token cars, I'm like, yes,
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: I could get I didn't use them nearly enough or
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: at all. And honestly, it just seems like the pins,
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: like I could just shave off the pin and I
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: have the same thing.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: What are you going to use them for?
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: That's why I didn't get them. I actually backed out.
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: I'm like, no, and why would I need all of
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: the houses?
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Like?
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: It's I actually think those would make better prizes.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Mm, yeah, that could be a oh how many houses
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: are there now? Thirteen?
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: I mean, but talk about if you had a few
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: sets of those and you're just giving out one a
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: week or something like how hard it'd be to collect
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: the set? Make it kind of chase worthy.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: I just I don't I don't know what I used
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: them for and less, and.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: Then we don't use most of our stuff.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: Unless it right. Like you remember when George used to
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: have gasoline, he had the cards. Nobody chose the house. Huh.
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: Oh, you know there's there are several There are a
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: few people that have indicators that use to mark what
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: house they're playing at any time.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Yeah, which I'm you know, we didn't like, wait by
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: a set of these for mister Pye.
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: He gets confused halfway through a term.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: Halfway through a turn, it'll be like, wait a minute,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: aren't you in sanctum? Oh yeah, I forgot, Yeah, of
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: course you did. You're just about to go ham on me.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: Dump your hand. Most cards don't combo together. Yes, uh,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: you know. I don't think they're the worst thing. I
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: also don't think they're generally that valuable in play. But
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: if they look good and feel good, like I'll want them. Yeah,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: that's yeah, But I don't want to buy them as
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: they just like uh I bought them. They'll make another
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: color of them that are prized, right, Like these are
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: silver and they'll make gold bordered ones for prize kits
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: or something and you could upgrade your set over time
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: or whatever. H I.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: Mean, like I do want junk to collect, That's fine
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: by me, use it.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: We did ask for chop and this is chok ship.
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I just I don't want to. I don't want
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: to buy it.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: You don't want to buy you want to earn it.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: And it doesn't seem like that's the course they're going
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: to go.
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: Because the.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: Course because we can't even earn the Little Prophetic Visions
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: glass ball thing.
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: And the truth is the way price support works is
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: even there, you still basically buy it, right right.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: I wouldn't have a problem paying in every week to
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: pay for the kit if it came like if it
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: came with the Little Prophetic Visions ball or it came
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: with the pin shoot, I really honestly wouldn't. I think
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: the little key chains are kind of cool. I thought
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: they were interesting idea. I want a key change, I
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: want a keychain. I like loot, yes for sure, So
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: I thought whatever, these were fantastic. Job it caught my attention.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: I like it, and I'd like more of it. But
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: I do agree with you. I don't want to just.
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: Because the first one's gonna going to turn them into piercings.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I could do that.
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: I mean, where where are we going to hang all
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: of ours from?
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: I mean, aren't the pins?
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: That's what jangle, That's what twenty twenty five AC calendar
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: is all about.
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: Bought the piercing.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: We're gonna need more patreos If I'm getting that pierced.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I went down time before and it ain't happen, and
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: I'll put them in my ears though my my my
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: ears still haven't closed from when I had gauges, so
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I can still put a stud through my ear. But boys,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: I think that's gonna do it. It's past cheap spend time,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: drass sport. It's your turn to tuck them in. Okay.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: So with that story, ba ba black sheep, have you
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: any wall? Yes, sir three begs full? All right? With
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: that being sad, we'll see y'all next week.
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: Happy forged and everyone Man forge be with you.
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: He stand raking and serving.
