- 0:00Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich!
- 0:01Speaker 2: Are we doing this again?
- 0:02Speaker 3: What's on the agenda for today?
- 0:04Speaker 1: We've got a very uplifting show today. You don't know
- 0:07Speaker 1: what day it is, do you?
- 0:09Speaker 3: It's National Get Funky Day.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Are you funky enough?
- 0:12Speaker 4: What do you mean, funky?
- 0:13Speaker 1: Now I'm lucky if I can find half an hour
- 0:15Speaker 1: a week in which to get funky. Get funky with us?
- 0:18Speaker 2: I'm very funky.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Now take your position. It should be a lot of fun.
- 0:21Speaker 3: It's showtime. It's National Get Funky Day. So, Billboard Magazine
- 0:26Speaker 3: ranked the best funk songs of all time.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Oh, come on! Brick House.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Number seven, Brick House. That is such a great song.
- 0:34Speaker 3: How's that not number one?
- 0:36Speaker 1: Make my funk the beat funk.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I don't know that one. G-Funk. Super Freak's number three.
- 0:41Speaker 3: That's great. Tear the Roof Off the Sucker is number two.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Tear the Roof Off the Sucker. The number one best
- 0:46Speaker 3: funk song of all time is Mo Bounce to the House.
- 0:52Speaker 1: A good one i mean if you're walking to the
- 0:57Speaker 1: song you must have strut.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Pretty good song you know we haven't talked about our
- 1:08Speaker 3: halloween costumes yet as a show we kind of brainstormed
- 1:12Speaker 3: a little bit last week uh and it made me
- 1:14Speaker 3: think of a lot of kyle's halloween costumes and i
- 1:17Speaker 3: don't think you've done it on purpose but they were
- 1:19Speaker 3: always like pretty sexy right.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Hey That's because it's Kyle. She can't help it.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 2: So difficult.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Right. So I guess if you're going to dress up
- 1:28Speaker 3: for Halloween this year, there's this research that says here's
- 1:34Speaker 3: what people are sick of. Americans say the most played
- 1:38Speaker 3: out Halloween costume is the sexy blank. Oh, so pirate, devil, witch,
- 1:45Speaker 3: sexy joker, sexy whatever. Don't do that.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Oh, it's just that in front of. Don't make any
- 1:49Speaker 2: costume sexy.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Yes, don't make it a sexy one.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Boring.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Which I think is great. I mean, I think you
- 1:56Speaker 3: should be sexy.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I like those.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Those are fun to look at.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Halloween is like the one time a year that you
- 2:00Speaker 5: can have your everything out and no one's judging you.
- 2:04Speaker 2: That's true.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I don't think Kyle can fight it, though. Kyle's going
- 2:06Speaker 3: to be a TSA agent. She's a sexy TSA agent.
- 2:09Speaker 2: That actually would.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Be a look.
- 2:11Speaker 2: That's a fun costume.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Note to self.
- 2:15Speaker 2: TSA agent.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Did you guys watch the season finale of Lanterns last night?
- 2:20Speaker 3: I did. What did you think?
- 2:21Speaker 1: It was different than I expected because I was waiting
- 2:25Speaker 1: for a big explosive superhero ending, and it was sort
- 2:28Speaker 1: of an emotional wrap-up. It's like, to me, it's like
- 2:33Speaker 1: a detective show where there are superheroes. It reminded me of,
- 2:36Speaker 1: what was that HBO detective show with Matthew McConaughey? True Detective.
- 2:41Speaker 1: It reminded me of that, but except for with superheroes.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I liked it. I thought it was pretty good.
- 2:45Speaker 3: You guys weren't into it, right?
- 2:47Speaker 2: I didn't start it.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Um, I really, really liked it. And the season finale
- 2:50Speaker 3: was last night and it's a superhero thing. Um, I
- 2:53Speaker 3: watched it. I thought it was, in fact, my brother-in-law
- 2:56Speaker 3: came over and he, he came over to my house
- 2:59Speaker 3: last night around seven. And that's when the show started
- 3:01Speaker 3: and I started to have all kinds of anxiety. And
- 3:03Speaker 3: I was like, Hey dude, I won't be rude, but
- 3:06Speaker 3: I got to watch lanterns. So I was, I watched
- 3:10Speaker 3: lanterns and, If you watch Lanterns, here's what I suggest doing,
- 3:14Speaker 3: and I don't know if you did this. When it's over,
- 3:16Speaker 3: they roll the credits. When the credits are over, there's
- 3:19Speaker 3: a two-minute video of the director and the actors talking
- 3:23Speaker 3: about the episode, and they explain a lot of stuff
- 3:25Speaker 3: that I didn't get.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 3:26Speaker 3: I didn't see that. And I was like, whoa. And
- 3:28Speaker 3: then it made the episode so much better for me.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Yeah, so anyway, I highly recommend that if you watch it.
- 3:34Speaker 1: That's a good show. It's a really good show. And
- 3:36Speaker 1: I guess there'll be a season two. There has to
- 3:38Speaker 1: be now.
- 3:38Speaker 3: There has to be season two. Phillip, what's up? You're
- 3:40Speaker 3: on the air.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Hi, yes. I was, let's see. I was, my family
- 3:49Speaker 4: lived next to Sharon Tate during the murders. How about a.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Little setup here, Phil? What are you calling for?
- 3:55Speaker 1: Charles Manson?
- 3:56Speaker 3: What are you, you're calling for what? Like, you're listening
- 3:58Speaker 3: to us. I know you're probably in another city listening
- 4:00Speaker 3: to a different part of the show. What exactly are
- 4:02Speaker 3: you hearing on the radio?
- 4:04Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 4:05Speaker 4: So, my cheating death.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Okay, yeah, we did that last week. But, okay,
- 4:10Speaker 3: go ahead. Let's hear it.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Oh, I'm sorry, yeah.
- 4:13Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 4:13Speaker 4: So my family lived next to Sharon Tate in 1969
- 4:18Speaker 4: on Cielo Drive. And during that time, the Mansons went
- 4:24Speaker 4: up there and killed everyone. And my family lived right
- 4:27Speaker 4: next door. My dad said he'd never heard anything, never,
- 4:33Speaker 4: you know. But as soon as the news came out,
- 4:36Speaker 4: they all came to our house to use our phone because,
- 4:39Speaker 4: you know, There were no cell phones or anything, so
- 4:41Speaker 4: they used our phone to call the news outlets and everything.
- 4:45Speaker 4: It was pretty crazy.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Peyton, aren't you somewhat related to the Manson deaths? Can
- 4:49Speaker 3: you talk about it? Well, yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Well, not related.
- 4:52Speaker 5: My grandma's childhood best friend growing up, her older sister,
- 4:56Speaker 5: Leslie Van Houten, was one of the Manson murderers.
- 4:59Speaker 3: So she was in there.
- 5:01Speaker 2: So I have a weird infatuation.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Yeah, isn't that kind of why you went criminal justice?
- 5:06Speaker 5: That's exactly why I went criminal justice, because I grew up,
- 5:08Speaker 5: my grandma, we'd always drive to Sedona, and she would
- 5:10Speaker 5: just tell me all of these stories, and I just
- 5:13Speaker 5: was so amazed by it. And it totally is the
- 5:14Speaker 5: reason why I'm obsessed with Longwooder and all things murder.
- 5:17Speaker 2: It's pretty creepy, actually.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I have a true crime trivia game I want to
- 5:22Speaker 3: play with everybody. I'm working on it right now.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Oh, that'd be interesting.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I was going to watch. Did you see that show?
- 5:27Speaker 3: I think it's number one on Netflix movies is the
- 5:28Speaker 3: Widowmaker one. Did you see that one documentary? No, I didn't.
- 5:31Speaker 3: The guy, this guy's married six times. Four of his
- 5:35Speaker 3: wives have died.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Oh, that's suspicious.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. I know. I know. He's got a
- 5:40Speaker 3: way of beating the system. It's fascinating.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Is he like a former cop or something?
- 5:44Speaker 3: I don't know. I haven't watched it yet, but I
- 5:46Speaker 3: saw the trailer. That sounds terrifying. I got to watch this. Anyway,
- 5:50Speaker 3: we're going to need a contestant for a minute to
- 5:53Speaker 3: win it. 877- 937-1047. But we are going to get
- 5:58Speaker 3: into careers and jobs. And I have to tell you
- 6:00Speaker 3: the story. I see this training that is so damn funny.
- 6:03Speaker 3: This guy's at a grocery store. He's shopping at a
- 6:05Speaker 3: grocery store. The manager of the grocery store comes out
- 6:08Speaker 3: and says, can I see you for a minute? He's like, okay.
- 6:11Speaker 3: He goes and sits down with the managers in the
- 6:13Speaker 3: manager's office. And she gives him his annual review. She
- 6:16Speaker 3: thinks he's an employee there. He's sitting there. And she's like,
- 6:20Speaker 3: you know what? I think you need to get in
- 6:22Speaker 3: here earlier. I think you need to get whatever. He's like, uh-huh.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Uh-huh.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Does his review. She reviews his whole career, his whole whatever.
- 6:29Speaker 3: And never asks his name or anything. Then he walks
- 6:31Speaker 3: out of her office. And then he starts shopping. And
- 6:35Speaker 3: she walks out. She's like, what are you doing? He goes,
- 6:37Speaker 3: I'm shopping. She's like, on the clock? And then he's like,
- 6:40Speaker 3: I don't work here. And so he posted a TikTok
- 6:46Speaker 3: video about it. And a lot of the comments from
- 6:48Speaker 3: the TikTok video, this is what I find so interesting,
- 6:51Speaker 3: are other people that were like, yeah, one time I
- 6:53Speaker 3: was in Target and they were having a morning meeting
- 6:55Speaker 3: with their staff. And this person, get over here, they said.
- 6:58Speaker 3: And the person goes in there and they're like, okay,
- 7:00Speaker 3: how are we going to take on the day? And
- 7:01Speaker 3: someone's like, you know, your shopping carts are really dirty.
- 7:03Speaker 3: And then people looked at him like, how dumb. the
- 7:06Speaker 3: balls on you that you would say that for the management.
- 7:08Speaker 3: And then he was like, I don't work here.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, because they probably saw they.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Were probably wearing like a red.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Shirt and like jeans or khakis or whatever.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh my gosh.
- 7:17Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I used to do this thing just for fun. I would,
- 7:21Speaker 3: if I was at a Target or Dick's Sporting Good,
- 7:23Speaker 3: I would ask somebody where things were and wait for
- 7:26Speaker 3: them to go, I don't work here. Oh, okay. But
- 7:28Speaker 3: I did it on purpose just to make it uncomfortable.
- 7:31Speaker 2: That's so annoying. Why would you do that?
- 7:34Speaker 3: I also, I do that. And when I'm driving somewhere
- 7:37Speaker 3: in a parking lot, looking for a parking space and
- 7:38Speaker 3: I see someone parking, get out of their car as
- 7:40Speaker 3: they're getting out of their car. I like to roll
- 7:42Speaker 3: down my window. Are you leaving? And they're like, no,
- 7:45Speaker 3: I'm not leaving. Oh, okay. My bad. My bad. We
- 7:49Speaker 3: got a thousand bucks. A thousand bucks to pay these money. Kirsten,
- 7:52Speaker 3: good morning.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 7:54Speaker 3: All right. Can you hear us? Okay.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I can.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Can you hear me?
- 7:58Speaker 3: I got you perfectly. What are you doing right now?
- 8:00Speaker 3: Where are you?
- 8:02Speaker 2: I just got home from a workout, so my energy
- 8:04Speaker 2: is high.
- 8:05Speaker 3: What part of town are you in? Phoenix. What was
- 8:08Speaker 3: your workout?
- 8:09Speaker 5: F45.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Ooh, I heard that's hard.
- 8:13Speaker 1: She's not messing around.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Very intense, yeah. Every person I've ever met that goes
- 8:17Speaker 3: to F45 religiously is shredded.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Oh, well.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Yeah. I'll let that speak for itself.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I've seen the videos. Do you do box jumps and
- 8:28Speaker 3: all that?
- 8:30Speaker 4: Yes.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good stuff. All right, let's go. You got
- 8:32Speaker 3: a chance at $ 1, 000. John Jay and.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from Peoria Ford right now.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Minute to win it.
- 8:40Speaker 1: 60 seconds on the clock for you, Kirsten, right now.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Let's get these all right so I can give you $ 1, 000.
- 8:45Speaker 1: What is a baby kangaroo called?
- 8:48Speaker 5: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Oops.
- 8:53Speaker 3: You cussed. You cussed.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 8:56Speaker 3: You can't cuss when we're all live on the radio
- 8:58Speaker 3: and we get disconnected.
- 8:59Speaker 2: That's a bummer.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Do we take another contestant?
- 9:04Speaker 1: I mean, I think we should.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Okay. Let's take another contestant.
- 9:06Speaker 2: We didn't even get one question.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Right.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 9:08Speaker 2: But it's got to be a different question.
- 9:10Speaker 3: We'll take another contestant. Oh, yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 2: What was the answer to that?
- 9:13Speaker 3: It's a kid.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Oh, I thought it was a joey.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Yeah, a kid is a goat, right?
- 9:17Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. That's right. A joey. Sorry.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I should have looked at it in my answer before
- 9:21Speaker 1: I just said that.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Real quick, hold up, hold up.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I mean, I had it on my page. I just
- 9:24Speaker 1: didn't look down.
- 9:25Speaker 3: We need another contestant. 877-937-1047. You cannot cuss. If you cuss,
- 9:31Speaker 3: you get dumped. All right, so you get a shot
- 9:34Speaker 3: at a thousand bucks here. Hello? Hi, John Jay Ridge.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Who's this?
- 9:39Speaker 2: Cameron.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Cameron, are you calling for a minute to win it? Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 3: All right, turn down your radio a little bit, okay?
- 9:46Speaker 1: All right.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Don't cuss. What part of town are you in?
- 9:50Speaker 4: I'm in Mesa currently.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Oh, Mesa. I was going to bring up Mesa. Oh,
- 9:55Speaker 3: you know what happened? Check this out. Real quick, real quick, Cameron. Yeah, yeah.
- 9:59Speaker 3: You know, Chris Powell, the bodybuilder, Chris Powell, this guy,
- 10:02Speaker 3: I saw him post a video of a rattlesnake in
- 10:05Speaker 3: the middle of his street.
- 10:06Speaker 5: Right.
- 10:07Speaker 3: And he lives in Mesa. And my wife and I
- 10:09Speaker 3: were in Tucson this weekend and we were hiking. And
- 10:11Speaker 3: I told her, I said, I saw Chris Powell post
- 10:13Speaker 3: this video of this rattlesnake. And I was like, And
- 10:17Speaker 3: they're in Mesa, like in a town of a million people.
- 10:20Speaker 3: We're in the middle of nowhere in Tucson and it's
- 10:22Speaker 3: kind of hot and sunny. I was like, we shouldn't
- 10:24Speaker 3: be hiking. And then she screams at the top of
- 10:27Speaker 3: her lungs and pushes me back because she's in front
- 10:28Speaker 3: of me. And there was a stick.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Not a rattlesnake.
- 10:34Speaker 5: Sometimes you see things when you're talking about it.
- 10:37Speaker 3: I know. I know.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Anyway, Cameron, she protected you though from that stick, but in.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Her defense, it was like a snake hole and the
- 10:44Speaker 3: stick was in the hole.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I get it.
- 10:49Speaker 3: But I was like done with my hiking after that.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I was like, I don't want to hike anymore. All right, Cameron,
- 10:54Speaker 3: you got a shot at a thousand bucks. You ready
- 10:56Speaker 3: to go?
- 10:57Speaker 2: I'm ready.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 10:58Speaker 5: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 11:01Speaker 5: Peoria Ford right now.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Minute to win it.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Okay, here we go, Cameron. 60 seconds on the clock.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Get all 10 right and you win $ 1, 000. What U.S.
- 11:09Speaker 1: state is nicknamed the Grand Canyon State?
- 11:14Speaker 3: Arizona.
- 11:16Speaker 1: What pop artist sings songs like Risk It All and
- 11:19Speaker 1: Uptown Funk?
- 11:21Speaker 3: Bruno Mars.
- 11:23Speaker 1: After Neil Armstrong, who was the second person to walk
- 11:25Speaker 1: on the moon?
- 11:27Speaker 3: Buzz Aldrin.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Texas.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Oh, Dallas.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Finland.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Russell Crowe. Oh, God.
- 12:01Speaker 5: I don't know that one.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Just take a guess. You're rolling.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Susan Collins.
- 12:08Speaker 3: That's telling.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Got to run out of time.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm true blank.
- 12:16Speaker 3: You hustled, though. That was good. How many did you get? Six?
- 12:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Is that the Verity lady? Verity?
- 12:21Speaker 2: No, that's the Hunger Games.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Hunger Games.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Oh, I would have been out, too, dog. I would
- 12:24Speaker 3: never have gotten that.
- 12:25Speaker 2: I'm so excited for that new Hunger Games to come out.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It should be cool.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I know, like, just a couple weeks.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Cameron, we're going to set you up with the Del
- 12:30Speaker 3: Taco gift card, man. Thanks for playing. Awesome. Thank you.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Smart guy, though. He was rolling. You could tell he
- 12:35Speaker 1: was whipping through them.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Thanks for not cussing.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I actually had brunch with Peyton after Pride last year.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 12:43Speaker 5: Yes.
- 12:44Speaker 2: That was so fun. How are you, Cameron? I hope
- 12:46Speaker 2: you're great.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Doing good, Peyton. I hope you're doing good, too. By
- 12:50Speaker 3: the way, Cameron, speaking of, Love Pup will be in
- 12:52Speaker 3: the Pride parade this Sunday. Are you going to be there? Absolutely.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Good.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Look for us.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I'll scream out again.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Yay.
- 12:58Speaker 3: All right. Hold on, Cameron. Yeah, walking in the Pride
- 13:01Speaker 3: Parade this Sunday with Love Pop. That was a tough one.
- 13:06Speaker 5: Yeah. I know.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I was like, I would never get this in Peyton.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Peyton knew right away.
- 13:10Speaker 1: They do get tougher.
- 13:11Speaker 3: By the way, how is Verity, Peyton? I know it's
- 13:13Speaker 3: the number one movie at the box office. How was it?
- 13:15Speaker 5: I really liked Verity. I feel like it's getting drug online.
- 13:19Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 13:20Speaker 5: I do, but I feel like it's from all the
- 13:22Speaker 5: book people. And I read the book Verity, and I
- 13:24Speaker 5: thought the book was good. But I also thought the
- 13:26Speaker 5: movie was good. There was two major pop culture references
- 13:29Speaker 5: that made Verity feel like she was like a real
- 13:32Speaker 5: celebrity in this life, you know?
- 13:34Speaker 3: Well, I don't know the story of Verity. What do
- 13:36Speaker 3: you mean a real celebrity?
- 13:37Speaker 2: So Verity is an author.
- 13:38Speaker 3: That's her name?
- 13:39Speaker 2: That's her name. It's Verity Crawford. And she is an author.
- 13:42Speaker 5: And basically the premise of the movie is Verity, who
- 13:46Speaker 5: is played by Anne Hathaway. She gets into a car
- 13:48Speaker 5: accident and she can no longer finish her book deal
- 13:51Speaker 5: that she's doing.
- 13:52Speaker 2: She's an author, right?
- 13:53Speaker 5: So they go and find Lohan, who is played by
- 13:56Speaker 5: Dakota Johnson. She is basically an underground kind of author
- 14:01Speaker 5: who hasn't really been discovered yet, but writes in the
- 14:03Speaker 5: same kind of genre that Verity does. So Josh Hartnett's character, Jeremy,
- 14:07Speaker 5: who is Verity's husband, goes and finds Loewen to help
- 14:11Speaker 5: finish Verity's book series because she's basically like, she can't talk,
- 14:14Speaker 5: she can't move, she can't do anything.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Oh, really? She can't talk or anything?
- 14:17Speaker 5: Yeah, so basically it kind of comes in. Dakota Johnson's
- 14:20Speaker 5: character moves into the house with Verity and Jeremy. And
- 14:24Speaker 5: some weird things happen.
- 14:25Speaker 3: They hook up probably.
- 14:26Speaker 5: Yeah. Well, yeah. Dakota Johnson and Jeremy, they fall in love.
- 14:31Speaker 5: You know, and there's some there's it's kind of a thriller.
- 14:33Speaker 5: It keeps you on your toes. But really what people
- 14:35Speaker 5: has to that has people divided is are you team
- 14:38Speaker 5: manuscript or are you team letter? And so team manuscript
- 14:42Speaker 5: is a big part of the book where Verity Dakota
- 14:45Speaker 5: Johnson's character finds himself. a manuscript of Verity, which kind
- 14:48Speaker 5: of portrays what kind of person she is. And at
- 14:51Speaker 5: the end of the movie, it kind of leaves you
- 14:52Speaker 5: questioning like, okay, which story do I believe?
- 14:56Speaker 1: Oh, does it end, does it end like stupid?
- 15:00Speaker 2: I enjoyed the ending.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Is that what people are dragging?
- 15:02Speaker 5: What I really loved about the movie is that I
- 15:05Speaker 5: left the theater team letter.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Where when I finished reading the book, I was team manuscripts.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Oh, that's interesting.
- 15:11Speaker 2: So I enjoyed that.
- 15:12Speaker 3: I flipped. Well, Dakota Johnson was the host of Saturday
- 15:15Speaker 3: Night Live. And in her monologue, she says something about
- 15:17Speaker 3: how she makes out with Anne Hathaway.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:20Speaker 3: So how does that happen? So she's like paralyzed from
- 15:23Speaker 3: the eyes down?
- 15:24Speaker 5: She was in a trance. That was one of the
- 15:25Speaker 5: things that Dakota Johnson was kind of seeing things. That
- 15:28Speaker 5: was like a scene.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Oh, it's like a fantasy? It didn't really happen?
- 15:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it didn't really happen.
- 15:31Speaker 3: It didn't happen in the... So one of them is
- 15:34Speaker 3: fantasizing about making out with Anne Hathaway.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Not necessarily fantasizing.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Dakota Johnson is terrified of Anne Hathaway's character. And so
- 15:43Speaker 5: as she's making out with her husband, she opens up
- 15:46Speaker 5: her eyes and it's Anne Hathaway.
- 15:49Speaker 2: But she got to make out with them for hours
- 15:50Speaker 2: because that was the scene in the movie.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Why is she terrified? You know what's funny? When I
- 15:54Speaker 3: was reading what it was about the other day, it
- 15:57Speaker 3: said something about how Anne Hathaway's character is incapacitated. And
- 16:01Speaker 3: I wasn't sure what that meant. So it means that
- 16:03Speaker 3: she's paralyzed. So why is Dakota Johnson afraid of her
- 16:07Speaker 3: if she's paralyzed?
- 16:08Speaker 5: Because Dakota Johnson, throughout the movie, she's like, she's not paralyzed.
- 16:12Speaker 2: She's faking it.
- 16:13Speaker 3: This woman's black. So she's not paralyzed.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Now it's getting good. I'm not telling you.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Go watch the movie. Because that's a spoiler.
- 16:19Speaker 3: She's fake paralyzed.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Oh, that's good.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Is it not?
- 16:22Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Oh, Verity.
- 16:24Speaker 3: That is Verity good.
- 16:25Speaker 5: It was a really good movie and it was a
- 16:27Speaker 5: really good book and I feel like a lot of
- 16:30Speaker 5: people are like, well, they skipped over so much stuff
- 16:31Speaker 5: and I'm like, yeah, well, it's an hour and a
- 16:33Speaker 5: half movie, not a 400 page book.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Of course things I want to know if anyone saw Digger,
- 16:38Speaker 3: the Tom Cruise movie. Doesn't sound like it. It's like
- 16:42Speaker 3: the worst opening he's ever had or something like that.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and they made like a big IMAX push on that.
- 16:46Speaker 1: They spent a lot of money. I think they spent
- 16:48Speaker 1: like $ 200 million on that movie.
- 16:49Speaker 2: He did so much promotion for it, too.
- 16:51Speaker 3: I saw somebody post on Instagram saying, I went to
- 16:55Speaker 3: go see the new Tom Cruise movie, Digger. I cannot
- 16:57Speaker 3: sit through it again. And they wouldn't say why, but
- 17:01Speaker 3: they didn't say it was bad. It was almost like,
- 17:03Speaker 3: I thought maybe because it was like, you guys ever
- 17:05Speaker 3: watch the movie Braveheart? Braveheart is a movie that I
- 17:08Speaker 3: cannot sit through again.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I get that.
- 17:09Speaker 3: It was so brutal at the end. I just don't
- 17:12Speaker 3: want to sit through that again. So it was like,
- 17:13Speaker 3: I thought that's what he meant with Digger. I thought
- 17:16Speaker 3: Digger was maybe like that, but not. I don't know.
- 17:19Speaker 3: So I want to know if someone saw it. But
- 17:21Speaker 3: I've seen every Tom Cruise movie ever.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Will you see this eventually?
- 17:26Speaker 3: When it comes out on the streams.
- 17:27Speaker 1: On the streams.
- 17:28Speaker 3: In the streams. Yeah, like I thought about the other day,
- 17:30Speaker 3: I haven't seen Toy Story 5 yet, and that's out now.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Oh, is it?
- 17:33Speaker 2: That was a good one.
