- 2:54podcast we talk about almost anything in every thing. But I am going to
- 3:02introduce you to each one of the hosts. Okay, so a couple of
- 3:07months back, you might remember we talked to Latania Little John and last month
- 3:14we talked to Tamila and Lucas. But tonight we're going to talk to the
- 3:19A of ht A Enterprises h Enterprises. It is the umbrella that the crew
- 3:28is under. Okay, they are our mentors, they are our teachers,
- 3:32there are They are our sisters and our brothers and our own little mini podcast
- 3:38family. Okay, So I am so honored to talk to my sister,
- 3:46my mentor, my best friend, the A and HTA. You guys know
- 3:53her as the Queen of collaborations. Her her queen is her highnasty as a
- 4:00highnasty a queenness. We're gonna go with both of them. Angela Thomas Smith.
- 4:08Y'all, girl, come on, hey, mama, she's so pretty.
- 4:15She's so pretty. Look at you, look at us loud you guys.
- 4:23I am so honored to know her. I mean to think that someone
- 4:28that can have such an effect in your life. You never really we didn't
- 4:31meet one time in person, but even before then, we never met.
- 4:35And we're both of South Carolina and it's like this, we came together.
- 4:41Oh yeah, I gotta see my pretty faith so tell us a little bit
- 4:46about yourself, missus Na. So, Um, I am from Anderson,
- 4:54South Carolina, which is in an upstate. I was born and raised there.
- 5:00If they're most of my life. Um, I'm the youngest of four
- 5:02siblings. Um. I have two brothers, one sister. Um. I
- 5:10am an author, I am a life coach, I'm a student, I
- 5:15am a self publishing coach. UM podcast host. Um. I wear a
- 5:23lot of hats, um, but the main hat that I wear is a
- 5:30child of God. UM that that that is, none of the things that
- 5:34I do would be possible Um without um God um being who he is in
- 5:43my life. UM gave me a second chance. Um. I'm a domestic
- 5:46violence survivor, suicide attempt survivor. So UM, I give God all the
- 5:54glory, all the praise, all the honor for the things that he allowed
- 5:58me to do. So that that's just the gist of who I am.
- 6:04I'm not one that really liked to talk about myself because I like to talk
- 6:12about other people, like to push other people. So UM, sometimes I
- 6:15find it hard to talk about myself. So you may have to ask me
- 6:20questions, you guys. So every Monday morning at nine am she does this
- 6:28motivational period. Okay, you guys, I there are sometimes when I'm on
- 6:34the desk at work and then other times I'm sitting at my desk earpiece and
- 6:42one earpiece out. She on this side of the screen, my work on
- 6:45this side, and literally I am taking in those nuggets that she gets.
- 6:50Okay, So I want to ask. So I've never asked for what brought
- 6:55on motivational Mondays. So about three years ago, God just dropped in my
- 7:01spirit to encourage people as they begin they work week, to help them start
- 7:10their week off in a positive way because a lot of people dread going to
- 7:15work on Mondays. They for whatever reason, Mondays is usually a hard day
- 7:20for a lot of people. So I just want to come on. He
- 7:27dropped in my spirit. Thirty minutes was all I need. Um. So
- 7:31when he gave me the half hour of power, and knowing that he had
- 7:35been dealing with me with that word power, everybody that followed me know about
- 7:41three years ago he dropped that word power in my spirit and that was just
- 7:46what I was on because I wanted people to know that they were positioned to
- 7:49be an overcomer by being a willing vessel to educate in power and encourage others
- 7:55through their resilience. You know, that's why he dropped in my spirit the
- 7:58word power me. You know, oftentimes Webster, these different Google, these
- 8:05different dictionaries or whatever sources they define these words, but do we really truly
- 8:11understand what those words means in a God term. So He deals with me
- 8:18with words everyday. Words he may break down, just break it down to
- 8:26where people can truly understand, because so many people have got so religious and
- 8:33they've gotten so holier than Thou that they forget that they have not always been
- 8:39saved, you know. And I thank God for this journey because I knew
- 8:43for a long time that I have a calling on my life and it was
- 8:48to share the word of God. And I've been running. But you can
- 8:54run, but you can't hide. That's one thing come to realize. You
- 8:58can run, but you can't hide why because you cannot hide from yourself.
- 9:03You cannot hide from what's on the inside of you. Because it's in you.
- 9:07Everything that we need God has already gifted up with. It's on the
- 9:11inside of us. And we're running, we're sitting down on those things that
- 9:16God has placed in us, so I had to stop running. So one
- 9:20day I just asked him. I said, well, Lord, give me,
- 9:22give me things that you know I can do that would not require me
- 9:28to have to stand in the pool pick. Because I'm the type of person.
- 9:33I've always had the fear of God. I've always been I've been different
- 9:39from everybody in my family, but I have always been that one that I
- 9:45went to church. I used to be the one that would go. I
- 9:48would be on the church bus if nobody else get on that church bus when
- 9:52it came down my street. I'm talking about it would go down the road
- 9:56and come back up, and I'll be the only child sometime on that church
- 10:00bus from my road. But I went to church. I sang in the
- 10:05choir, I went to Sunday School, I went to vacation Bible School,
- 10:09you name it, I did it. My great grandfather was a pastor and
- 10:16I was just in the church and I couldn't run from it. So I
- 10:20just started getting on these lives and God would just use me. He I
- 10:24would go on to talk about books and low and behold that's saying I'm no.
- 10:30It's like I just preached a sermon, like opened my mouth and I
- 10:35go back and look at them videos and I'll be like, oh, was
- 10:39it that? And you do that, you drop all these nuggets. And
- 10:45I'm sitting up there and I remember one day I'm sitting at work and then
- 10:48it's like, we need a notary dis meany telefied men. So she almost
- 10:52finished, man, continue to listen, and they knew it was like,
- 10:56okay, she's getting her morning douce girl on. And then I went and
- 11:01did it. And you're seeing that God already knows what he has in you,
- 11:09but you're you're a person that brings it out. And I'm wanting your
- 11:15examples. She'll tell you, guys, I did not like to do lives.
- 11:18Don't put my face on nothing, don't ask me to talk about nothing.
- 11:22No, the answer is no. But now I'm all comfortable. I'm
- 11:26sitting up here dancing in the background, and she told me you can do
- 11:31this street. She kept on speaking in it to me God had and I
- 11:33was like, all right, man, all right, man, I'm gonna
- 11:37do this. But now I'm looking like God is like, okay, you
- 11:39aren't running because I got you where I want you. And this is only
- 11:43the beginning of it. So what she say is absolutely true. O tell
- 11:48you guys, so like people don't understand like we are when when they say
- 11:54that the kingdom is it's one body with many members, just like your body.
- 12:03You you you're one person, but you have different organs, different functions,
- 12:09and everything come together to make you who you are. So that's just
- 12:13like with the Kingdom. You know. God has given us all gifts,
- 12:16He's given us all talents, He's given us all something that we're supposed to
- 12:20do. He will place people in your midst that may be a little stronger
- 12:26in one area and maybe weak in one area, and that where you're strong
- 12:31at then you can assist them where they're weak in the areas that I'm strong,
- 12:37and I can assist where they're weak. And that's how He bring people
- 12:41together, you know. And most of the time He's gonna place people in
- 12:45your midst that have similar that have similar things going on y'all. Y'all may
- 12:52have similar background, y'all may have tapped into some of the same things.
- 12:58Like I know with me um, I have a niche for working with people
- 13:07that have been through trauma, people that may have been through domestic violence,
- 13:11people that have suffered from mental illness. People that UM have a disability because
- 13:18a lot of people don't know or they may not realize. But I have
- 13:24a disability, like I have a sight limp when I walk. I would
- 13:31never be one hundred percent. When I got shot. I had a hole
- 13:37in my leg about this size. You could literally put your hand in it.
- 13:43I would watch my cousin, who was my nurse, packed my leg,
- 13:48and she would pack and I would see her hand disappear, like so
- 13:52a part of me it's gone, that's never gonna I still have this scar,
- 13:58so it's a constant remind but I'm grateful. I'll never be able to
- 14:05run like I used to, squat like I used to like I was a
- 14:09basketball player. I can do a little, but I'll never be able to
- 14:13play up to the potential that I had back when before a lot of this
- 14:18happened. But do I allow this to stop me? No. It'd be
- 14:22days when I am struggling to get out of bed. There as days when
- 14:28I'm in so much pain. I'm over here. I probably have a heating
- 14:31pad on, I probably have a massagy going on my back, or whatever
- 14:37the case may be. I suffer from si attica. I suffer from hypertension,
- 14:43you know, just different little stuff. And people are never know that
- 14:48by just looking at me. They see this person and they just think I
- 14:56just got it all together. I just got it going on. But do
- 15:01you know how I got him? Then you know what I what I endow
- 15:05it to get here, Like a lot of people will ask me, Angela,
- 15:09how do you keep going? But I remember in twenty twenty, it
- 15:15was December and I was getting ready to do an interview. I was on
- 15:20Sador radio, Damn, and I was getting ready to do an interview that
- 15:24Sunday morning. And right before we got ready to go live, I got
- 15:28a phone call telling me that my brother had passed away. And the young
- 15:35lady that I was getting ready to interview, she said, well, she
- 15:37said, do you want to cancel? I say, we go live in
- 15:39five minutes. Baby, I say, my brother's in a better place because
- 15:46he ain't suffering no more. He ain't got to worry about nobody pushing him
- 15:50in his stomach, the coughs, he got to worry about nobody brushing his
- 15:54hair, He got to worry about nobody flipping them over. He ain't got
- 15:56to worry about nobody abusing him, nobody not taking care of him changing his
- 16:02diaper. You don't have to worry about that no more. My brother got
- 16:04full use of all of his limb. Now he or he's healed, and
- 16:10I don't have to worry about it. I don't have to worry about him
- 16:11no more. One day, if if if I stayed the course and I
- 16:18stay on the straight and narrow, I will see him again. So I
- 16:22got to work to keep the promise. I gotta work to get to the
- 16:26promise because guess what, he already received the promise. Somebody said that same
- 16:32thing to me once my mom died, is but what you crying for?
- 16:34It's me I ain't could never see it again. And listen, you need
- 16:37to get crying for yourself because your mom in the bed to please. You're
- 16:41the one still gotta deal with all of us down there. And it made
- 16:42me think like, oh, yeah, you're right, you know. So
- 16:48we're gonna take a break and we're gonna come back, and we're gonna ask
- 16:52missus Angela Thomas Smith, what is her role in HTA and how it was
- 16:59created? And guess what, We're also going to tell you how you can
- 17:03join us on the crew and be a part of the NHA. We're gonna
- 17:07take a little commercial and we'll be right back. You guys need to get
- 17:15your book reviews or do you want a little bit more exposure for your new

- 17:48We have now to three Eastern Standard time because every day, but you're
- 17:55ready to tell you and allow someone to walk into their truth. And and
- 18:03we are back. We are back. We are back. So we left
- 18:07off and I said, we're gonna ask her about ht A Enterprises. What
- 18:12is H enterprises and what is your role in ht enterprises? So um H
- 18:22Enterprises is UM. It's three businesses that decided to come together UM to work
- 18:30UM, to fill it gut and to meet a need. UM. We
- 18:34were all working in different UM facets. UM. You have Hezekaiah Moore's who
- 18:41is the h um apostle, Tamla Lucas who is the t and of course
- 18:48I am the a UM. So you have individuals that were all doing podcasts.
- 18:53We're all authors we're all um working in the same circle, same community.
- 19:00So we said, why not come together and try to impact lives and
- 19:07bring some people along this journey with us and try to encourage them, try
- 19:14to impact their lives. I'm all about the E three experience. I'm all
- 19:19about the L three movement. For those that do not know what that is,
- 19:25the E three experience is something that God dropped in my spirit in twenty
- 19:29fourteen when I was working with those thirty babies in Anderson, South Carolina.
- 19:34He said, it's your job to educate them, to empower them, and
- 19:38encourage them to go to the next level because they are our next generation.
- 19:44And that thing stuck with me. So everything that I did going forth was
- 19:51all around educating, empower and encouraging. Twenty twenty, here you go again.
- 19:59Okay, I'm just sitting here and I'm a prayer warrior. So he
- 20:07always deal with me in the wee hours of the morning. So a couple
- 20:14of years ago, it was always three thirty in the morning. He was
- 20:18waking me up. There was always something waking me up, and I will
- 20:22just get up and just be praying up, praying for just different people.
- 20:26I'm time. I used to pray for celebrities. I used to be praying
- 20:30for, you know, just different people like and then I'll be like,
- 20:32wow, I'm not praying for these people. And then after I'd been Donna
- 20:37pray for him, I would see something in the news that it be happening
- 20:42going on with them. I remember the day when one Needa behind him was
- 20:48in that domestic violence incident out there at the airport. That night before that
- 20:57happened, I was at my sister's house and I was laying on her floor,
- 21:03and my sisters stayed right there by the airport in Forest Park, and
- 21:08those that are familiar with Forrest Park and Old Deep c Highway and the airport,
- 21:15they know that it's right there. So I was laying there. At
- 21:18three o'clock in the morning, he woke me up and I just begin to
- 21:22pray for that lady and her name was dropped in my spirit and I just
- 21:26begin to pray for her. And then I'm gonna say about noon that day,
- 21:34I started seeing the stuff on the news where had been a incident at
- 21:41the I want to say it was the Western at the airport where they had
- 21:47been an altercation between her and her husband and he just deal with me with
- 21:53just different things like that. Well, he dropped those three words in my
- 21:57spirit, learned lovely and I was like, yeah, three words learned lovely.
- 22:07And I was like, okay, Lord, what you want me to
- 22:10do with this? Huh? So the hey, he dropped songs one twenty
- 22:15one in my spirit. Yes, and then every day he just started dropping
- 22:18stuff in my spirit. So the first year, UM, we was into
- 22:22prayer. U. It was Shanaria. Well at first it was someone else,
- 22:29and UM we were I think we were in about fifty days and that
- 22:36person backed out. Um, Shanaria came on board. She said, I'm
- 22:41not a prayer. She was like just saying, she said, but I'm
- 22:44gonna. I want to do it. She has not missed a beat since.
- 22:49Um. For the last three years, Um, we have been doing
- 22:52watching in twenty one days a prayer, five am prayer. Um. Like
- 22:56I said, the first year was just me palm in Shanaria. That second
- 23:00year it was just like God, I say, open anybody. So we
- 23:07opened up anybody. I think at any gifferent time people not everybody crag um
- 23:21and then not everybody crazy thing like and that's what I wanted people to understand
- 23:26that. You know, that's just allow God should give you the worse because
- 23:33if you look at me six or seven years ago my name, you wouldn't
- 23:40never you wouldn't never thought that. Can you hear me? I volume is
- 23:48going in and out, but you're coming clear now, okay, UM,
- 23:52you would never thought that, Um, I would be doing some of the
- 23:56things that I'm doing as far as um the ministry and praying and stuff like
- 24:00that, because Um, I didn't think I was worthy. I didn't think
- 24:06I was equipped. I didn't think that, Um. Yeah, because I
- 24:08didn't have no titles, I didn't have no degrees, I didn't have all
- 24:12that stuff that people throw around, UM that seem to make you devalidate you
- 24:19or make you feel like and and and God would always send people in my
- 24:23midst and and and every time they would give me a message or give me
- 24:29a word, it was always that if he called you, he's already qualified
- 24:33you, he's already equipped you. Okay. He would give me scriptures,
- 24:40like scriptures to go to and I'm not no Bible scholar, but I would
- 24:45go over and now I find no scriptures and no scriptures would just speak to
- 24:48me like if I opened up my Bible and over and um Ephesians somewhere over
- 24:53there. It's say, if you just be willing, if you go,
- 24:56he'll show you where to go, how he'll he'll he'll tell you what to
- 25:00say. And that's what I did. I just started opening my mouth.
- 25:06I just started doing lives. I would come home on live and I would
- 25:11go live every day. I started doing interviews. I would interview people every
- 25:15single day. And me just opening up my mouth and me just coming on
- 25:21and doing this. Like people don't realize that. People think I've been doing
- 25:23this fore ever. They were like, miss Angela, just think this.
- 25:27No, y'all know when I came to Facebook, Okay, I originally came
- 25:36to Facebook in two seventeen. I got out Facebook, and I want to
- 25:41say two thousand and eighteen, and I came back to Facebook February of twenty
- 25:49twenty, when I moved to Murder Beach was when I came back to Facebook
- 25:56and I started doing lives, and I just people just started taking heed to
- 26:06what I was saying. People started following me. Um, it seemed like
- 26:10I went from five hundred friends to five thousand friends overnight. Um. I
- 26:17went from a hundred followers to five thousand followers overnight. It seems like it
- 26:25just seem like started and then I would ask people like, while y'all following
- 26:30me, They was like, you always got something encourage you to say you
- 26:33always you, always being positive, always being uplifted. I say, but
- 26:38I'm sometimes I may be harsh, sometimes I may be mean spirited. They
- 26:45be like, but you be on point. It's like I started doing this
- 26:52and then the more and more like people would like sometimes I had to realize
- 26:57that, hey, you know, I'm not there yet. So I had
- 27:03to humble myself. Like this lady told me. She said, um,
- 27:07I didn't like how that came out. She was like, that came out
- 27:11kind of rough. She said that, and that offended me. I was
- 27:15like, I'm sorry, I never tend to that's that's not my intention.
- 27:22So I had to go and look in the mirror and evaluate myself. And
- 27:29I had checked myself, and sometimes I still have to check myself. And
- 27:33sometimes I have to listen at the when I get excited, sometimes I could
- 27:38my voice can elevate or it can and not have to be mindful of who
- 27:44I'm talking to that everybody may not be able to handle the excitement that I
- 27:49may have or the passion that I may have that I have to calm it
- 27:55down. Sometimes I had to know, like impostile. Tammela is. I
- 28:00know she'd be like, okay, Sis, she's getting me. A couple
- 28:06of times too, she said okay, Sis, and she'd be straight faced
- 28:08and me be like, okay, yes, but to me when you do
- 28:17that, especially when we're in the group and you're giving us to training,
- 28:21Yes, you guys, stay train us. We do mock interviews. We
- 28:26have learned about setting up, scheduling pulses, making your media presence known.
- 28:36And I have a tendency I will run out the block, but then some
- 28:42way between a mile two and mile three, things start to slow down and
- 28:47everything starts to get out in the way. And what she does. She
- 28:48comes in the room and she will tell us, okay, so you guys,
- 28:52you need to do this, and you're not doing this and I have
- 28:55to stitt up there and I have to eat it like yeah that's me,
- 28:59yeah, just me, but it's not a chastise and who you do that?
- 29:03It was like, all right, I love you guys, and I
- 29:06want to see y'all at your best of potential and I want to see this
- 29:08work for you guys. So here's what I'm encouraging you guys to do.
- 29:12And I love that you do that, I really do, and I appreciate
- 29:17you cracking the whip on me a lot of times, a lot of times.
- 29:23And I don't I don't set out to be um a micro manager.
- 29:32Oh you are new. I want everybody to, you know, I want
- 29:37everybody to get it, you know, and I want them to get it
- 29:41in their way, because, you know, even though we may have things
- 29:47in place, and everybody may have their own way of doing stuff, you
- 29:52have to be comfortable with what you're doing and you have to make it fit
- 29:56you, you know, because I am Angela, you are for trees Um
- 30:03Latania's Latania, Trevita's Travida, Black Diamonds, Black diamond Everybody is their own
- 30:10individual person. We may have similarities, we may have those those things that
- 30:15are familiar, but none of us are the same. You don't have the
- 30:21same perspective, we don't have the same thoughts, we don't talk the same
- 30:25we don't we We may look at something like I may say that's just uh
- 30:33ugly pink. I might say that look like um PEPs it pink. But
- 30:38you may think that that pink is the hottest thing jumping out hot pink like
- 30:45and it may make me seek to my stomach. But I'm entitled to have
- 30:49that a pin and you're entit. You're entitled to have that too. So
- 30:53what I want people to understand is that we have to be the chance that
- 31:00we need to desire to see. So whatever changed I want to see in
- 31:06the world, I have to be that change. I can't look to Patres
- 31:12or Black Diamond or Hezekiah or Tamela to be the change that I want to
- 31:18see because what they think I may want to see, I may not want
- 31:22to see. So we have to be that change. So we have to
- 31:27be that voice, you know. And I'm grateful that God dropped in my
- 31:33spirit to get with Hezekiah and Tamla and to provide this outlet, to provide
- 31:38this platform that we may be able to do that. UM. And see
- 31:44how he just brought different people together from different walks of life, from different
- 31:48parts of the United States. UM. We have some from South Carolina,
- 31:55New York, m DMV area, California, UM, California, uh in
- 32:09Carolina, but come from different walks and if you see us together, you
- 32:15guys, you would think that we've been doing this for a long time.
- 32:17I think our anniversary is any what February. So we have They give us
- 32:24the platform, they give us the tools, so we have someone that speaks
- 32:29about family issues. We had um just this past week, one young lady
- 32:35was talking about she was in a woman's writing group and she was on Tremida
- 32:37show. Um, my author, I had Saturday Girls stopped stopped chasing the
- 32:45garbage truck. Y'all need to go back to look at that one. That
- 32:46one was good. Um, we have one of our podcasters was talking about
- 32:54family history in your medical family history. So they give us a platform,
- 33:00but we're able to be ourselves. So my understanding is we still have spots
- 33:08available, so we have about three minutes. Can you tell them how they
- 33:13can be a part of the Crew podcast? So if there's anyone out there,
- 33:20we actually have three slots, even though there are different days. We
- 33:25have first and third Saturday, first and second, first and second Thursday,
- 33:34second Friday, first and third Monday is available. But how can you become

- 34:19that you share your show, talk about your show, and just respect the
- 34:23mic. That's all, and and and that's it. We don't require a
- 34:30whole lot. We don't put a lot of mandates on you. UM.
- 34:32You're able to to be the voice that you want to be in this world.
