- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah that Uh, Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- 0:05Speaker 2: The rex was not chasing the jeep. Murray, Murray, you there.
- 0:09Speaker 2: You love sandwiches. Huh, Let's go to uh eighty. It
- 0:14Speaker 2: was bo wow that prime time. Maybe I had a
- 0:18Speaker 2: crush on Betty Rubbell.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went
- 0:22Speaker 1: to a commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman
- 0:25Speaker 1: was black.
- 0:25Speaker 2: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 0:28Speaker 2: the game. You're listening to to Gotson Company.
- 0:32Speaker 1: It is to Gods and Company, presented by Bando on
- 0:34Speaker 1: the Fandel Sports Book. Please to be joined by Chris
- 0:36Speaker 1: Sims this morning, TV Unbuttoned podcast DFT every Day with
- 0:41Speaker 1: Mike Florio and I can't say Football Night in America anymore.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I am sorry about that, Chris Simms.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'll probably still say it though, yes, yeah, yeah, it's
- 0:48Speaker 1: all right.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I expected you might say it. You know, you're like
- 0:50Speaker 3: Ron Burgundy. You just read the teleprompter. It's one that
- 0:55Speaker 3: it does hurt still, it really does.
- 0:57Speaker 4: You know. I love being on a show. It thinks
- 0:59Speaker 4: that I'm not.
- 1:00Speaker 3: They had their little annual upfront meeting, right and they're
- 1:04Speaker 3: taking pictures the other day and to not be a
- 1:07Speaker 3: part of it for the first time and I think
- 1:09Speaker 3: eight or nine years, it stings a little bit, but
- 1:11Speaker 3: we move forward. That's the way what That's the way
- 1:13Speaker 3: the business is.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Mikey, you will laugh at this.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I congratulated Chris Sims because he has less responsibilities and
- 1:19Speaker 1: I believe the paychecks are still the same.
- 1:21Speaker 2: So who cares.
- 1:23Speaker 4: You're right about that.
- 1:25Speaker 2: It's a promotion.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Everybody thinks I got fired, right, That's the one thing
- 1:29Speaker 3: I've had to deal with.
- 1:29Speaker 4: I've had people call me like, damn, you got fired. Huh.
- 1:32Speaker 4: It's just like, no, no, no, Actually, nothing changes.
- 1:35Speaker 3: I've just done on football night in America and I've
- 1:37Speaker 3: had that exact question, Well, do they pay you less now? Nope, Nope,
- 1:41Speaker 3: it doesn't mean anything. So yeah, that's why you're a
- 1:43Speaker 3: great friend. You put things in perspective less I am.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I am ultra excited to sit out, you know, be
- 1:53Speaker 3: a Sundays, which I always kind of look at as
- 1:55Speaker 3: a family day, and to be home and watch NFL football.
- 1:59Speaker 3: That is definitely the silver lining of that. So there
- 2:02Speaker 3: is a part of me that's very excited for that too.
- 2:04Speaker 5: That was gonna be my question, you know, as much
- 2:06Speaker 5: as it's gonna suck for us not seeing you up there,
- 2:09Speaker 5: what's what Sunday is gonna look like now that you
- 2:11Speaker 5: don't have to be in the studio and and all
- 2:13Speaker 5: that stuff coming up with takes and interviews and whatnot.
- 2:16Speaker 2: He got his weekends back. Yes, I know it is.
- 2:19Speaker 4: It is cool.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Well, I the first thing that's on my mind right
- 2:23Speaker 3: is how am I going to watch all the games?
- 2:25Speaker 3: And I'm gonna be like, You're gonna pay a lot
- 2:27Speaker 3: for it, That's what I want to go. I go, hey, NBC,
- 2:30Speaker 3: if you want me to talk about all the games
- 2:32Speaker 3: on Monday, then I think you need to improve my
- 2:34Speaker 3: setup at home.
- 2:35Speaker 4: I'm sorry, I need another TV.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Screen and probably more Internet connections. But yeah, that is
- 2:43Speaker 3: definitely the one thing that is worrying me about it, because, yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 3: sitting here in NBC studios, as you know, I got
- 2:50Speaker 3: every game in front of me all the time. So
- 2:53Speaker 3: that's easy, and I it's stressful because I write a
- 2:55Speaker 3: bunch of notes about the games as I go forward.
- 2:58Speaker 3: But yeah, if I'm sitting at home and I can
- 3:00Speaker 3: let's say there's eight games on the one o'clock hour now. Yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 3: I don't know how I'm gonna pull off all eight.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I might have to be a little bit, you know. Okay,
- 3:09Speaker 3: this game doesn't matter. The hell with it today, I
- 3:11Speaker 3: can't watch it. I gotta pay attention to these other ones.
- 3:13Speaker 3: But that's definitely something I've been thinking about for sure.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Just prioritize Sims. That's all you have to do, yes, right, Sims.
- 3:18Speaker 6: I like how you have your priority straight. But you
- 3:21Speaker 6: are too good to be sitting idly on Sundays. So
- 3:24Speaker 6: when one door closes, another door opens. I'm pitching us
- 3:27Speaker 6: for Sundays with Sims.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Oh.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I love it Sundays with Sims. He just got his weekend.
- 3:34Speaker 4: He's excited about it. Put me to work it.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I feel like my relationship with every co host is, Hey,
- 3:41Speaker 3: we love Simms.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Let's put more work on his shoulders. Can you make
- 3:43Speaker 4: a list of this and make a list of that
- 3:45Speaker 4: and evaluate this? Uh but but no, I do, I
- 3:48Speaker 4: do hear you?
- 3:49Speaker 3: And when I was you know, when I was over
- 3:51Speaker 3: in London, that was something that came up a lot.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I did my podcast from sky Sports NBC Sports we
- 3:58Speaker 3: are put on sky Sports a lot. My show in
- 4:00Speaker 3: the morning with Florio. PFT goes on live there in
- 4:04Speaker 3: London in the afternoon, and so we have a pretty
- 4:07Speaker 3: big following. And when I went to their studios, they
- 4:10Speaker 3: were very much into like, Hey, your Sundays are free,
- 4:13Speaker 3: why don't you come over here? Or when we have
- 4:15Speaker 3: a big London game, we'll set you outside the stadium
- 4:17Speaker 3: and let you do a show from there. And I
- 4:19Speaker 3: was kind of like, damn, that is kind of cool.
- 4:21Speaker 3: And I was a fan of London for sure, So
- 4:25Speaker 3: we'll see. There's definitely some options, though I don't know
- 4:27Speaker 3: if hanging out with you is what I was thinking of.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Hang out in London.
- 4:32Speaker 4: It sounds like what are we gonna do with me?
- 4:35Speaker 2: Right exactly?
- 4:36Speaker 4: First class?
- 4:38Speaker 3: Right now though? Is where the hell is do gots?
- 4:40Speaker 3: And why is he talking into hot lava?
- 4:42Speaker 2: Like what?
- 4:43Speaker 1: So listen, it's a gaming microphone. It works fine, It's fantastic.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I like it.
- 4:47Speaker 1: It's a little bit trippy. I am in I'm in Evanston, Illinois.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I told you where I was yesterday, asshole.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Well I forgot which college and who you were.
- 4:55Speaker 3: You were in Syracuse one day and now you're in Illinois,
- 4:59Speaker 3: so I forgot which one.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Me and sins were laughing over the fact that my
- 5:02Speaker 1: daughter had no idea she had to return cable equipment.
- 5:05Speaker 1: She just she thinks the cable company's gonna come fucking
- 5:08Speaker 1: pick it up by themselves. And I'm like, so I
- 5:10Speaker 1: had to stay it extra day in Syracuse. I understand
- 5:13Speaker 1: why you're confused. You don't like this hot lava mic.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Though I kind of I love it. I hate it.
- 5:17Speaker 3: It's a little weird, but like, listen, your daughter's logic's right, like, wait,
- 5:21Speaker 3: I paid you for all this stuff, and I have
- 5:24Speaker 3: to return it. You come and fucking collect it. I've
- 5:28Speaker 3: paid you, You're not paying me, right, It makes less sense.
- 5:32Speaker 3: So I hate that kind of crap right there.
- 5:34Speaker 2: But they make the rules and sims.
- 5:37Speaker 1: If I didn't listen, if I wasn't aware, if I
- 5:40Speaker 1: wasn't looking around and checking it out, I'd still be
- 5:43Speaker 1: paying her cable bill a year from now. I mean,
- 5:46Speaker 1: so it's like, you know, I'm like, hey, you got
- 5:48Speaker 1: to return this, you got to cancel the account. How
- 5:51Speaker 1: you're gonna get your car shipped home? She's like, I
- 5:53Speaker 1: had no idea I had to do any of that.
- 5:55Speaker 4: So yeah, okay, well, yeah, you got your teacher. That's good, good,
- 5:57Speaker 4: you're doing that now.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Second question is why are you in a bed in
- 6:01Speaker 3: a hotel room with two beds you you couldn't afford
- 6:04Speaker 3: the quink.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Sized bed that room.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Or are you and the wife there and she just
- 6:08Speaker 3: doesn't want to sleep in separate, separate beds.
- 6:09Speaker 4: She doesn't want to be in the same bed as you.
- 6:11Speaker 2: No, no, my wife is here, she's in a separate room.
- 6:17Speaker 4: I forget the separate bed. She didn't want to stay
- 6:19Speaker 4: in the same same room with you. One is for sleeping,
- 6:22Speaker 4: one is for smoking, exactly.
- 6:24Speaker 2: One bed for smoking, one bed for sleeping.
- 6:27Speaker 4: I can curb missus Stugott's you should.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Stay in another room now. She's coming with my other daughter.
- 6:32Speaker 1: They have an Elite eight game Northwestern does against Colorado tomorrow.
- 6:36Speaker 1: She'll be up here tomorrow. I needed a second bed
- 6:39Speaker 1: for my wife and my child. That's okay, cool, okay,
- 6:41Speaker 1: and smoking down of the year the year, sim speaking,
- 6:46Speaker 1: we'll get to England, we'll get to soccer. We'll get
- 6:48Speaker 1: to why you were wearing his suit tailor is confused
- 6:50Speaker 1: about this. We will uh, we will get to all
- 6:55Speaker 1: of it in just a second. What are your memories here?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Because the draft we had your dad on since the draft.
- 7:00Speaker 1: He was eating carrots at your draft, at your draft
- 7:02Speaker 1: party at the barn. What are your memories here of
- 7:04Speaker 1: Taylor being at the barn during the uh during the
- 7:07Speaker 1: draft watch party.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Oh, like, very polite and nice as always, you know,
- 7:13Speaker 3: Taylor is that and then way too quiet, like way
- 7:16Speaker 3: too quiet to that point where.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Put a microphone in front of him. You'll see, I mean,
- 7:20Speaker 2: you want a different tailor.
- 7:21Speaker 3: We got to the end of the night and he
- 7:22Speaker 3: was like, hey, I'm gonna leave, and I was like,
- 7:25Speaker 3: you know, I felt bad because because I do like him,
- 7:27Speaker 3: and I was like, damn, I didn't really get to
- 7:29Speaker 3: talk to you. I know, I was working, but also
- 7:31Speaker 3: that like I didn't hear you talk to anybody else.
- 7:34Speaker 3: He just like he just sat there and watched and
- 7:37Speaker 3: didn't interact a little bit. It's a little socially weird,
- 7:39Speaker 3: so we can work on that a lot.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Yes he is weird, he's a weirdo. Yes, but he's
- 7:43Speaker 4: weird and he's nice and everybody knows he's nice. So
- 7:46Speaker 4: that was good.
- 7:47Speaker 3: But yeah, he was out of there and I was
- 7:49Speaker 3: I was like, damn, I don't know, did you have
- 7:50Speaker 3: a drink? I mean, do you I think on the
- 7:53Speaker 3: way out, I was like, do you want to joint?
- 7:55Speaker 4: I didn't you know? Do you want anything? No?
- 7:57Speaker 3: No, no, I mean so total nerd and he came
- 8:00Speaker 3: over really nerdish.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Yeah, so my goal in those social settings just be wallpaper.
- 8:05Speaker 6: I don't don't want anybody to even notice that I'm there.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 3: No, well they noticed, and you were a little bit.
- 8:11Speaker 3: But because the people when you left were like, wait,
- 8:13Speaker 3: who was that? Or he didn't even I didn't even
- 8:16Speaker 3: get a chance to talk to that guy, right, So
- 8:18Speaker 3: so the ones that did talk to you liked you
- 8:20Speaker 3: and thought you were very polite and nice, but there
- 8:22Speaker 3: was some that yeah, you were wallpaper too.
- 8:25Speaker 2: So wait, they were behind the scenes, Mikey.
- 8:27Speaker 1: This is great because he's a different person without a
- 8:28Speaker 1: microphone in front of him.
- 8:29Speaker 2: There were people.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Behind the scenes chatter about how weird and socially awkward
- 8:34Speaker 1: tailor is.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Not really like that.
- 8:36Speaker 3: But they just thought he didn't talk and they didn't
- 8:37Speaker 3: get a chance to talk to him. And then they
- 8:39Speaker 3: because he didn't talk to anybody, nobody knew what the
- 8:41Speaker 3: hell who he is or what he does. Right, So
- 8:44Speaker 3: there was just that aspect there. But he's welcomed any time,
- 8:47Speaker 3: that's for sure. He's just a polite house guest.
- 8:50Speaker 6: So I think I said maybe ten words the entire night,
- 8:53Speaker 6: and it was just to your dad, Chris. Where I
- 8:56Speaker 6: I went over to your dad and I said, good fruit, right,
- 8:59Speaker 6: because he just he was just attacking that fruit all night.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, that's what he does.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Well, that's what he does. He's big Phil. And then
- 9:05Speaker 4: he'll tell you, tell.
- 9:06Speaker 3: You I haven't eaten in twelve hours, so I haven't eaten.
- 9:09Speaker 3: It's like, Dad, are you like he's the king of that.
- 9:11Speaker 3: That's why I always say he's a He was a
- 9:14Speaker 3: great quarterback, cause like he could come off the field
- 9:17Speaker 3: and they'd be like, damn, Phil, that was a bad interception.
- 9:19Speaker 3: He'd like, I didn't throw an interception. What are you
- 9:20Speaker 3: talking about? I laugh about that all the time with
- 9:24Speaker 3: my dad. My dad is he was actually viral, I
- 9:27Speaker 3: think a little bit not you know, somewhat viral, like
- 9:30Speaker 3: two weeks ago because he was at a bar and
- 9:33Speaker 3: he drank a beer and he was sitting there going, oh,
- 9:35Speaker 3: I haven't had a beer in ten years, right, And
- 9:38Speaker 3: he drank the beer and you know, like, hey, Phil
- 9:40Speaker 3: Sims at a bar.
- 9:41Speaker 4: He drank a beer blah blah blah.
- 9:43Speaker 3: But me and my wife laughed and we were like,
- 9:45Speaker 3: he had a beer here last summer, Like what is
- 9:47Speaker 3: he talking about?
- 9:48Speaker 4: So he can tell.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Him suff and bullshit himself to where he doesn't know
- 9:54Speaker 3: reality or his bullshit at times?
- 9:56Speaker 4: All right, yeah that's Phil Sims are you? And yeah,
- 9:59Speaker 4: he'll come over my house. It's like, oh, we don't
- 10:00Speaker 4: need dinner tonight, we don't need dinner.
- 10:02Speaker 3: And every three minutes he's in the cabinet's eating food
- 10:05Speaker 3: and my wife's finally like, all right, we're gonna get dinner.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Oh I don't need dinner.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I'm good. And then he'll be like, well, what are
- 10:10Speaker 3: you ordering? What are you what are you gonna get?
- 10:12Speaker 4: Well, hold on, let me see the menu. You know
- 10:14Speaker 4: what I mean.
- 10:14Speaker 3: It's the same story all the time with Big Phil.
- 10:17Speaker 3: That's why part of it is. And he's the big
- 10:18Speaker 3: fucker that is it.
- 10:20Speaker 2: He's the greatest. You leave that man alone. Okay, he's
- 10:22Speaker 2: a gem, he really, it really is.
- 10:24Speaker 4: He's a gem.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yes, Why is he eating carrots during the draft though?
- 10:28Speaker 2: What is going on there? Carrots? He just was just picking, right,
- 10:32Speaker 2: He likes to pick.
- 10:32Speaker 4: He's just picking. He is.
- 10:34Speaker 3: He's a constant picker. The doctor has told him. He's like,
- 10:37Speaker 3: can you give your stomach a break and digest food
- 10:40Speaker 3: twenty four hours a day? It needs a break, He'll
- 10:43Speaker 3: be He goes, my stomach has been rumbling for seven
- 10:46Speaker 3: days straight. It's like, give it a break, throwing He
- 10:49Speaker 3: snacks in for four minutes.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Please listen.
- 10:51Speaker 1: We had him on two days after the draft, after
- 10:53Speaker 1: you did the show at the Barn, and we had
- 10:55Speaker 1: him on at like ten in the morning, and he
- 10:56Speaker 1: told us he had two meals already.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Exactly, a first breakfast and a second break fixing breakfast guy.
- 11:03Speaker 4: He's like Lord of the Rings.
- 11:04Speaker 3: He's like one of the Hobbits, right, they had first breakfast,
- 11:06Speaker 3: second breakfast. That's Phil Simms, except these, you know, five
- 11:09Speaker 3: times the size of a hobbit.
- 11:11Speaker 6: Yes, Sims, I was. I was very impressed with the neighborhood.
- 11:14Speaker 6: I was very impressed with the barn. I was very
- 11:16Speaker 6: impressed from your house on the outside looking in. I
- 11:18Speaker 6: looked it up on zillow. Oh rad Jason man, you guys,
- 11:21Speaker 6: you guys are doing pretty well for yourself. But I'm
- 11:23Speaker 6: also and I listened to the Unbuttoned podcast is it
- 11:27Speaker 6: true that your son doesn't really understand the concept When
- 11:30Speaker 6: he's around other other celebrity friends. I guess where he
- 11:34Speaker 6: sees CC Sabbathia's house and starts wondering, how come my
- 11:38Speaker 6: dad didn't make that much money?
- 11:40Speaker 3: Exactly right, Well, there's been a whole lot of that
- 11:43Speaker 3: ever since we moved to Greenwich.
- 11:45Speaker 4: He's like, damn Dad, what do they do? Why?
- 11:47Speaker 3: Well, how much money do you make? Damn Dad? Damn Dad,
- 11:50Speaker 3: Damn Dad. They got this? Damn Dad, they got that.
- 11:53Speaker 3: How much money do we really have?
- 11:54Speaker 4: Dad? Dad? Tell me how much money do we really have?
- 11:56Speaker 4: Come on, I won't tell anybody, Just tell me how
- 11:58Speaker 4: much we have?
- 11:59Speaker 2: You know?
- 12:00Speaker 4: Oh, yes, that might be kome a thing. Yeah.
- 12:02Speaker 3: I saw Cecza Bathia here today because he was doing
- 12:05Speaker 3: his podcast, and I, you know, CC, he didn't even
- 12:08Speaker 3: realize my son was at his son's birthday at his house,
- 12:11Speaker 3: which I wanted to be like, did you see your
- 12:12Speaker 3: house is so damn big you don't even know who
- 12:14Speaker 3: the hell is there anymore?
- 12:15Speaker 4: Oh?
- 12:15Speaker 2: Get at here, Jesus.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yes, But yeah, so regardless, yes, that that that came
- 12:21Speaker 3: up with that and the funny thing is with that
- 12:23Speaker 3: in the CC thing, my dad went down the same road.
- 12:27Speaker 3: He was like, well, damn, he goes well, I mean,
- 12:30Speaker 3: he goes Christopher, how much money did did CC make?
- 12:32Speaker 3: And I went, Dad, I don't know, but I go
- 12:34Speaker 3: he was making twenty million when nobody was making twenty million.
- 12:37Speaker 3: And then he was like, oh, yeah, okay, okay, right,
- 12:40Speaker 3: so yeah, uh CC, my son has seen some houses
- 12:43Speaker 3: and he's not that impressed by my house anymore. Uh.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Speaking of CC Sabathia, he joined us and agreed, you're Sims,
- 12:50Speaker 1: You're gonna be.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Shocked by this. He agreed with Taylor that he would
- 12:53Speaker 2: not trade Cam Schlittler for Paul Skiing straight up. He
- 12:56Speaker 2: agreed with him.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Yes, he agreed that he did. All right, good, Well he's.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Got some sense why you think that's a good You
- 13:04Speaker 1: wouldn't trade Camp Schlittler for Paul.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Skied straight up?
- 13:09Speaker 4: He wouldn't do it, He.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Taylor, saying he wouldn't do it because Schlittler is
- 13:13Speaker 1: a Yankee guy.
- 13:14Speaker 2: He's a Yankee prospect. He doesn't care if the team
- 13:16Speaker 2: gets better with Paul Skids.
- 13:17Speaker 1: He wants to ride or die with Cam Schlitzler at
- 13:20Speaker 1: CC's So the bath your neighbor with a nicer house.
- 13:23Speaker 2: He agreed with Taylor? How about that?
- 13:26Speaker 3: Oh well, I doubted him in a lot of ways.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Now there is the pride of like the Yankees. You know,
- 13:32Speaker 3: we know we got a lot of money, but I
- 13:35Speaker 3: think would surprise people a lot through some of our dynasties.
- 13:37Speaker 3: You go, wait, they didn't buy a lot of these
- 13:39Speaker 3: players they like, like Taylor saying they came up through
- 13:41Speaker 3: the system, which has been very impressive. But no, I
- 13:45Speaker 3: still feel like i'd take Paul Skeens. I'm sorry, yes
- 13:48Speaker 3: you will, because because anyone would, right.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Cec got caught up at the moment there real quick
- 13:53Speaker 1: on Sunday night football.
- 13:55Speaker 2: So I know you were disappointed. You're upset.
- 13:57Speaker 1: It's a job that you loved, although you have less
- 13:59Speaker 1: responsibilities paycheck.
- 14:00Speaker 2: That's a promotion for me. We've been over that.
- 14:03Speaker 1: How do you think Mike Tomlin's gonna do on television phenomenal?
- 14:07Speaker 3: Like? Yeah, I think he's made for it, right, He's
- 14:10Speaker 3: he's gonna be able to like you've seen in press conferences,
- 14:13Speaker 3: I think have so many.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Creative, like easy ways.
- 14:18Speaker 3: To make a point that are gonna be like, oh wow,
- 14:21Speaker 3: I've never heard somebody say it quite like that, right,
- 14:23Speaker 3: He's he's a master of the English language, like to
- 14:26Speaker 3: the point of time.
- 14:27Speaker 4: Times you're like, do you.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Have a book of like innu windows and like irony
- 14:32Speaker 3: and like all these kind of whatever the hell it is,
- 14:34Speaker 3: like you're just like, it's it's incredible. But he's one
- 14:37Speaker 3: of the greatest communicators I was ever around. And that
- 14:39Speaker 3: goes back into being, like I've told you before when
- 14:42Speaker 3: he was the secondary coach in Tampa Bay and I
- 14:44Speaker 3: was the quarterback there.
- 14:46Speaker 4: But yeah, so I think he is gonna be phenomenal.
- 14:48Speaker 3: And of course him being fresh out of the league,
- 14:51Speaker 3: he's gonna know some nuance about some of these teams
- 14:54Speaker 3: that you know, maybe somebody like me.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Or other people are involved in that that.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Don't quite know because he's spent, you know, one hundred
- 15:01Speaker 3: hours a week studying one team getting ready for it
- 15:03Speaker 3: as the NFL head coach. So I would just be
- 15:06Speaker 3: shocked if he's not absolutely phenomenal at the job.

- 17:07Speaker 2: How was England?
- 17:08Speaker 4: England was amazing?
- 17:09Speaker 2: How amazing?
- 17:10Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 17:11Speaker 3: I mean other than the you know, the dollar sucks, right,
- 17:14Speaker 3: you know when you get there and you have four
- 17:16Speaker 3: hundred cash in your pocket and then you give it
- 17:19Speaker 3: to the front desk for the exchange and they only
- 17:21Speaker 3: give you two hundred and seventy back, You're like, whoa, yeah, David,
- 17:24Speaker 3: I didn't realize we suck like that. But the city's awesome, incredible.
- 17:29Speaker 3: The people were so nice and polite, just as advertised.
- 17:33Speaker 4: I found that they were.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I've said this a few times on my podcast, and
- 17:37Speaker 3: even with Floria, like, there's not the anger over there
- 17:41Speaker 3: that we see right now in our country. You know,
- 17:43Speaker 3: you go to certain places you're like, man, people are angry,
- 17:45Speaker 3: Like what's so angry about? And I think that's because
- 17:48Speaker 3: of our political comment climate, honestly, but that you know,
- 17:53Speaker 3: they're just there. They're light years ahead in public transportation.
- 17:58Speaker 3: They are light years ahead with what they allow in
- 18:00Speaker 3: their food and what they don't allow, Like they're a
- 18:03Speaker 3: nice country where they don't put things in their food
- 18:06Speaker 3: that kill people what we do here in America where
- 18:08Speaker 3: they're like, hey, here's another product. This kills you, but
- 18:11Speaker 3: damn it tastes good. So there's that. No, they know,
- 18:15Speaker 3: no paper towels the whole week I was there no
- 18:18Speaker 3: paper towels, either air dry or they have a cloth
- 18:22Speaker 3: that you wipe off and then you throw it into
- 18:24Speaker 3: the dirty laundry bin and they wash it and whatever else.
- 18:27Speaker 3: So between that and I love history, and then going
- 18:32Speaker 3: to the Arsenal match.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Was it was an unbelievable time. It was truly incredible.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yes, go ahead, Taylor.
- 18:38Speaker 6: Sims on the topic of the things that England is
- 18:41Speaker 6: light years ahead of the sporting atmospheres. When you're at
- 18:45Speaker 6: the Emirates and you're seeing that atmosphere for a Champions
- 18:48Speaker 6: League game, the chants, the songs, everybody's standing. Does it
- 18:54Speaker 6: kind of put US sports to shame? Because I know
- 18:56Speaker 6: when I went there, I I've never been able to
- 18:59Speaker 6: look at US sport. It's the same when they're just
- 19:01Speaker 6: they're doing the defense. It's it's a very lazy chance.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, we're not nearly on their level.
- 19:08Speaker 3: With that said, well, they're just they're so rooted in
- 19:09Speaker 3: history that they've had years and years to come up
- 19:12Speaker 3: with these these chants that have meaning to the tradition
- 19:15Speaker 3: of their their football team, right, So I think that's
- 19:18Speaker 3: what it is. Yeah, it's an incredibly electric environment. There's
- 19:22Speaker 3: no doubt about it. You know, even though I went
- 19:24Speaker 3: to two matches. I went to a Premier League on
- 19:26Speaker 3: Saturday and then went to the Champions League on Tuesday,
- 19:30Speaker 3: the Tuesday night Champions League. Of course, the stadium was electric, certainly,
- 19:33Speaker 3: And yes it felt more, you know, like an NFL
- 19:37Speaker 3: playoff game, so you could kind of feel that throughout.
- 19:41Speaker 3: But yes, with the constant cheers and all that, it's
- 19:44Speaker 3: just very cool. It's a little different, right, and that
- 19:47Speaker 3: aspect too. There is no dead moments and you know,
- 19:51Speaker 3: there's not a commercial break every three or four minutes,
- 19:54Speaker 3: so the fans are constantly engaged. You know that. That's
- 19:57Speaker 3: the other problem you realize with American sports. You go, wait,
- 19:59Speaker 3: we're going to stadium today. We're gonna be out of
- 20:01Speaker 3: there in two hours. They're not going to be there
- 20:03Speaker 3: for five and a half six hours going to the
- 20:05Speaker 3: stadium because we have a three minute commercial break every
- 20:08Speaker 3: five minutes. So I think that also is a little
- 20:11Speaker 3: bit of an underrated aspect of what keeps them engaged
- 20:15Speaker 3: and keeps them going so long. But it was a
- 20:17Speaker 3: special environment, There's no doubt about that.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Taylor.
- 20:20Speaker 1: What they don't have Taylor, other than the Jaguars is
- 20:22Speaker 1: fucking football.
- 20:23Speaker 2: That's what they don't have, all right.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I mean, why don't you guys move to fucking London
- 20:26Speaker 1: for crying out loud the way you're talking about it,
- 20:28Speaker 1: the two thank you, it's getting there.
- 20:31Speaker 3: It's good and you do know they love their football
- 20:34Speaker 3: and you know NFL football, there's no doubt. I mean,
- 20:37Speaker 3: I met a lot of Americans over there who would
- 20:40Speaker 3: come up and the course knew who I was, and
- 20:42Speaker 3: that the funny that was the funny thing. That's where
- 20:44Speaker 3: you even know, like England rubbed off them, the Americans,
- 20:46Speaker 3: because I'd see Americans and they'd be like, oh, hello,
- 20:49Speaker 3: mister sim It's nice to meet you, And I'm like,
- 20:51Speaker 3: you're from Chicago.
- 20:53Speaker 4: You don't talk like this, what are you talking about?
- 20:55Speaker 2: Fake?
- 20:55Speaker 4: Got sense?
- 20:57Speaker 3: I've met a guy from Philadelphia and I'm like, if
- 20:58Speaker 3: I saw you in America, you'd be like, oh, you're
- 21:00Speaker 3: a clown.
- 21:01Speaker 4: You don't like the Eagles.
- 21:01Speaker 3: But here he is in London, He's like, oh, hello,
- 21:03Speaker 3: good to see you. Everyone polite trumpets, and You're like,
- 21:08Speaker 3: who the hell is this? So I was like, damn,
- 21:10Speaker 3: even the Americans are more polite over here in London.
- 21:12Speaker 3: It's rubbing off that way, right, Yeah, But what the
- 21:15Speaker 3: hell was my point here?
- 21:18Speaker 4: Question?
- 21:19Speaker 2: There really wasn't a question.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I was just making the point that we have football
- 21:21Speaker 1: and you guys, don't you guys spreading there?
- 21:24Speaker 4: That's the point. It's spreading. There's no doubt.
- 21:26Speaker 3: I definitely came across some you know, English people who
- 21:30Speaker 3: would come up to me and.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Go, NFL, I watch you on Sky Sports.
- 21:35Speaker 3: You know, some would come up with my name. Some
- 21:37Speaker 3: couldn't figure it out, but it was it was cool.
- 21:39Speaker 5: Nonetheless, so was it a cultural thing to wear a
- 21:42Speaker 5: suit to a game or how did that?
- 21:45Speaker 1: Let me explain this, because Taylor loves you and he's
- 21:47Speaker 1: gonna kiss your ass. But I'm telling you on the radio,
- 21:50Speaker 1: when you were wearing a suit, Taylor goes, what the
- 21:51Speaker 1: fuck is he wearing to suit for? My only response
- 21:53Speaker 1: was because he's Chris fucking Sims.
- 21:55Speaker 2: That's why.
- 21:55Speaker 4: I mean, here's the response. It's very simple.
- 21:59Speaker 3: When the owner of Arsenal invites you in there and
- 22:02Speaker 3: they tell you to wear a freaking suit, you wear
- 22:04Speaker 3: the freaking suit.
- 22:05Speaker 2: That's what you do. Yeah, yeah, so that's what.
- 22:08Speaker 4: It's as simple as that.
- 22:09Speaker 3: I have a very good friend who's friends with the
- 22:11Speaker 3: Cronky family. That's how it happened organically, right. So when
- 22:16Speaker 3: I went over there, I did not know I was
- 22:18Speaker 3: going to this game. That's why I went to the
- 22:20Speaker 3: game on Saturday. My friend, who knew I was apparently
- 22:24Speaker 3: going to this game for before I even got there,
- 22:27Speaker 3: didn't tell me I needed to bring a suit, and
- 22:30Speaker 3: he told me I needed to wear a red tie.
- 22:31Speaker 4: And I'm like, damn.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Like, I'm like, I'm in London, man, I'm like, you
- 22:35Speaker 3: know me, finding a suit is not that easy here
- 22:37Speaker 3: in forty eight hours, I gotta go find a suit
- 22:39Speaker 3: to wear into the chairman's box. So yes, But bottom
- 22:44Speaker 3: line is, Taylor, when that kind of people tell you
- 22:46Speaker 3: to wear the damn suit and you're in the privileged
- 22:49Speaker 3: chairman's box, you you wear the damn suit and you
- 22:52Speaker 3: put on the red tie. That that's what you do.
- 22:54Speaker 4: So who else?
- 22:55Speaker 6: Who else was in this SUITEK because I saw Sean
- 22:57Speaker 6: McVay a bad tie?
- 23:00Speaker 2: Well right, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Now now now I think any guest of ownership you
- 23:05Speaker 3: have to wear a suit and tie. I think that's
- 23:06Speaker 3: how it goes Benderdic Cumberbatch. Yes he did not wear
- 23:09Speaker 3: a suit and tie. He looked presentable, he looked nice, right,
- 23:12Speaker 3: but he wasn't wearing a suit and tie. The cool
- 23:14Speaker 3: thing about how they do things, and this is very Unamerican, right,
- 23:17Speaker 3: where one you go to the suite and they are
- 23:23Speaker 3: hosting the other team's ownership in the suite as well.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Right can you imagine that, like, you know, the Giants
- 23:29Speaker 3: having the Eagles owners and GM and this be like
- 23:32Speaker 3: what that's cry?
- 23:33Speaker 4: Right? So that is very cool.
- 23:35Speaker 3: And then of course it's tradition to serve a meal
- 23:38Speaker 3: in that instance there before the game as well. So
- 23:41Speaker 3: we sat down and we had pork chop with a
- 23:44Speaker 3: bunch of you know, different vegetables and whatever else. It
- 23:48Speaker 3: was kind of a real English meal. It was phenomenal.
- 23:51Speaker 3: And then and then I became a regular visitor at.
- 23:54Speaker 4: The bar in that in that suite as time went on, right,
- 23:58Speaker 4: a lot of fun.
- 23:58Speaker 3: It's the spring beer into the stadium. You can't watch
- 24:03Speaker 3: and have a drink sitting in your seat, right. I
- 24:06Speaker 3: didn't know that until I got there, So I was
- 24:08Speaker 3: like shocked by that. The first game on Saturday, me
- 24:11Speaker 3: and the wife went to the bar and we were like, well,
- 24:12Speaker 3: we're gonna drink and we'll go sit down. And they
- 24:14Speaker 3: were like you can't get this right now, Like they
- 24:17Speaker 3: were like, get the hell out of here.
- 24:18Speaker 4: We'll see you at halftime.
- 24:19Speaker 2: And we're like, what what do you mean.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I don't get that. I don't understand that. What do
- 24:22Speaker 1: you mean you get a drink when you want to drink?
- 24:24Speaker 4: No? Not there.
- 24:25Speaker 3: You know they've had history is too rowdy and crazy
- 24:30Speaker 3: where they had to cut back some of those rules there.
- 24:33Speaker 1: So McVeigh he just happened to be there. Did you
- 24:35Speaker 1: know McVeigh was going to be there?
- 24:37Speaker 3: I knew McVeigh was going to be there when my
- 24:40Speaker 3: friend that invited me came to town to tell me I
- 24:42Speaker 3: was going in the game that he apparently knew I
- 24:44Speaker 3: was going in the game for more than a week, right,
- 24:46Speaker 3: But yes, so I was aware that, And of course,
- 24:48Speaker 3: yes it's the Cronkeys.
- 24:50Speaker 4: It was the biggest game in the.
- 24:52Speaker 3: History of that stadium, as everybody kind of sold it
- 24:55Speaker 3: throughout the week there. And so, yeah, Sean McVay, I
- 24:58Speaker 3: think just showing support for ownership there was cool and
- 25:00Speaker 3: that was great because, yeah, Sean and I go way
- 25:03Speaker 3: back and we have a lot of fun together.
- 25:06Speaker 1: It's like the episode of seinfeldbor A Lane where she's
- 25:08Speaker 1: invited to the owner's seats and she wears a Baltimore
- 25:12Speaker 1: Orioles cap and they kick her out of the Yankee Stadium.
- 25:14Speaker 2: You gotta wear what the owner waked you to wear,
- 25:16Speaker 2: exactly right, Yes.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Wear a red tie. I wear a red tie, right, Yes,
- 25:20Speaker 4: you know I'm on the horse little bandwagon. Now there's
- 25:23Speaker 4: no taking me off.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Well now, so Mikey just sent me a text that
- 25:26Speaker 1: you're sounding awfully on American and I am wondering World
- 25:28Speaker 1: Cup if it feels like he's gonna be rooting for England.
- 25:31Speaker 2: And not the United States of America, am I Right?
- 25:33Speaker 3: Yeah, if I want to root for a team that
- 25:34Speaker 3: actually has a chance, yeah.
- 25:38Speaker 2: You might want to check your history there.
- 25:40Speaker 3: I'm going to root for USA, I always, but I
- 25:44Speaker 3: would always say that England is probably my second team
- 25:47Speaker 3: my soccer roots.
- 25:50Speaker 4: When I got.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Interested in the sport, it's it's it was prime David
- 25:54Speaker 3: Beckham era, right, Wayne Rooney, Christiano Ronaldo being there, and
- 25:59Speaker 3: then I got.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Dropped to buy the Bucks.
- 26:01Speaker 3: And as you know, the Glazier family who owns the
- 26:03Speaker 3: Bucks owns Manchester United, So I was kind of always
- 26:06Speaker 3: a de facto man you and kind of fell in
- 26:10Speaker 3: love with English soccer first. So yes, I mean after
- 26:13Speaker 3: the USA, England will definitely be the team I root
- 26:16Speaker 3: for after that.
- 26:17Speaker 6: Also, Mikey, you can't say anybody sounds on American when
- 26:19Speaker 6: you're wearing a Canadian hat, right now?
- 26:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 26:21Speaker 1: Right, yeah, yeah, wait, wait, don't don't take Taylor's side.
- 26:29Speaker 4: He was the most I knew. I had him to.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Washington Nationals throwback at.
- 26:38Speaker 2: What are you talking about? It's so good?
- 26:41Speaker 1: Since before we get to the NFL quickly, are you
- 26:44Speaker 1: into the Knicks at all your your this is great.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Right, definitely, love this right definitely.
- 26:48Speaker 3: I mean, well as you know, and I think all
- 26:51Speaker 3: you guys know because you all have New York history.
- 26:55Speaker 3: When the Knicks are good, I don't know if the
- 26:57Speaker 3: city really comes more alive then and the Knicks are
- 27:00Speaker 3: good because all the other teams are, all the other
- 27:03Speaker 3: sports are split in half. Oh it's Yankees, it's Mets.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Oh it's Jets, it's Giants. Right, nobody's really a Brooklyn
- 27:09Speaker 3: Nets fan. So the Knicks dominate this this territory. And
- 27:14Speaker 3: with Timothy Chamalat becoming like who he is and one
- 27:18Speaker 3: of the best actors in the world, I feel like
- 27:20Speaker 3: now too, it's like if there's any superstar in New
- 27:23Speaker 3: York City and there's a next game, they're like, I
- 27:24Speaker 3: have to be sitting in the front two rows or
- 27:26Speaker 3: I can't. I'm not a person. So it's become a
- 27:29Speaker 3: scene too, which is incredible. So yeah, I'm on the
- 27:32Speaker 3: Knicks bandwagon for right now for sure.
- 27:33Speaker 5: Yeah, all the way, Sims, we talked a lot about
- 27:36Speaker 5: soccer and with it coming to America with the World Cup.
- 27:40Speaker 5: They're putting the grass fields in and the players are
- 27:43Speaker 5: really really happy about that until they're probably gonna get
- 27:46Speaker 5: it taken away. How do you feel about the real
- 27:50Speaker 5: grass fields versus the turf?
- 27:51Speaker 3: Hey, this has been a pet peeve of mine forever,
- 27:55Speaker 3: like forever, going back to my early Simson left Co
- 27:58Speaker 3: Bleacher report days.
- 28:00Speaker 4: This has been a thing that really runs me hot.
- 28:04Speaker 4: It does.
- 28:05Speaker 3: And yes, I mean it's the greatest sport in our
- 28:09Speaker 3: country and the players that play it don't like playing
- 28:13Speaker 3: it on field turf. And there's no such thing as
- 28:16Speaker 3: that in Europe with any of the soccer leagues and
- 28:19Speaker 3: all the really good players contracts they have. We don't
- 28:22Speaker 3: play on field turf. That's part of the deal. That's
- 28:25Speaker 3: part of it. So yeah, it pisses me off that
- 28:29Speaker 3: here we are where we have guys get hurt and
- 28:32Speaker 3: banged up and don't want to play on field turf
- 28:34Speaker 3: every year, but we keep the field turf for the
- 28:38Speaker 3: sake of we want to have concerts right in the stadium.
- 28:41Speaker 4: But ding ding, ding Ding, all those stadiums in.
- 28:45Speaker 3: England and in Europe have concerts and somehow they pull
- 28:48Speaker 3: it off with the grass field. I don't know, I
- 28:51Speaker 3: don't know how they do it. It's crazy, right, So yeah,
- 28:54Speaker 3: that bothers me. It does, and it's cheap by the NFL.
- 28:58Speaker 3: It's wrong to do to your players. Players don't want it.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Ninety two percent of players want grass field, and as
- 29:04Speaker 3: I said, I just was talking about this on my
- 29:06Speaker 3: own podcast, I bet you the eight percent are kickers,
- 29:10Speaker 3: punters and rookies who are like, wait, I could fall
- 29:12Speaker 3: off a building and I'll be okay the next day,
- 29:15Speaker 3: So it doesn't matter yet. I mean that when those
- 29:18Speaker 3: those eight percent get into the third or fourth year,
- 29:20Speaker 3: they're going to I want to play in a grass
- 29:21Speaker 3: field all the time. So no, it drives me absolutely crazy.
- 29:24Speaker 3: I think it's incredibly disrespectful and I hope the NFLPA
- 29:28Speaker 3: can find a way to, you know, fix this in
- 29:31Speaker 3: the next contract.
- 29:32Speaker 5: It feels like we are going to get it fixed
- 29:35Speaker 5: and all it's going to cost the players is another game.
- 29:38Speaker 5: Feels like this is headed that way where the NFL
- 29:41Speaker 5: will go, Okay, we'll give in on the grass fields,
- 29:44Speaker 5: but we're gonna need one more game from you guys.
- 29:46Speaker 3: No, you're right, Well, that's that's the way the NFL works.
- 29:49Speaker 3: They're kind of like the mafia that way. It's like
- 29:51Speaker 3: do what we say or else. So yeah, or or
- 29:54Speaker 3: we'll do this for you, but you gotta do this
- 29:56Speaker 3: for us, because we're not just gonna do this for
- 29:58Speaker 3: the good will of players and the people we pay,
- 30:01Speaker 3: which also I don't make sense too. You know again,
- 30:06Speaker 3: are you not losing money or losing something by having
- 30:09Speaker 3: Joe Burrow who makes three million dollars a game, who
- 30:12Speaker 3: can't play for now twelve games because he has turf
- 30:14Speaker 3: toe because he plays on turf right? I mean, is
- 30:18Speaker 3: that not losing money? You're not getting your money's worth.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I know that you're not losing it, but you're not
- 30:23Speaker 3: getting your money's worth. That's what I don't get. And
- 30:26Speaker 3: then of course when we're in this era right now
- 30:28Speaker 3: of America, first I want to just go, oh wait,
- 30:30Speaker 3: and then Europe comes to town and Europe's first, I
- 30:31Speaker 3: don't get it. So yeah, that's the pain in the
- 30:34Speaker 3: ass of me. That's the revolutionist and revolutionists in me.
- 30:38Speaker 3: I don't get that, and it annoys the crap out
- 30:40Speaker 3: of me.
- 30:41Speaker 4: Sims.
- 30:41Speaker 6: We really haven't talked much here about Brendan Sorosby, the
- 30:44Speaker 6: Texas Tech quarterback who's under NCAA investigation after reportedly placing
- 30:48Speaker 6: thousands of sports bets through gambling apps. He's taken in
- 30:51Speaker 6: definitely from Texas Tech, entered treatment for gambling addiction. His
- 30:56Speaker 6: college careers in jeopardy. Now there's talks of him entering
- 31:00Speaker 6: the supplemental draft. Where do you think he would go
- 31:02Speaker 6: in the supplemental draft? And could you see him making
- 31:05Speaker 6: an impact next season if somebody was to pick him.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yeah, well I don't know about next season, but I
- 31:11Speaker 3: could certainly see him, yeah being picked now, Soresby definitely
- 31:14Speaker 3: catches your eye, right. I haven't studied him like that,
- 31:18Speaker 3: but I know during the year last year, watching Cincinnati
- 31:21Speaker 3: and seeing that, I kept going, man, this guy looks
- 31:23Speaker 3: legit here, and he's good athlete, has a powerful arm.
- 31:27Speaker 3: I think he was why maybe some teams punted till
- 31:31Speaker 3: next year to address the quarterback situation because they go, wait,
- 31:33Speaker 3: next year, there's got a chance to be four or
- 31:35Speaker 3: five guys that look pretty damn good here.
- 31:37Speaker 4: But yeah, he's in deep trouble now.
- 31:39Speaker 3: The supplemental draft, to what you're talking about, Taylor is
- 31:42Speaker 3: not nearly as popular as it was in the old days.
- 31:45Speaker 3: And oddly enough, you know, my dad's career kind of
- 31:47Speaker 3: ended because they took Dave Brown out of Duke in
- 31:50Speaker 3: the first round of the supplemental draft, and that's the
- 31:52Speaker 3: guy that replaced my dad after his fifteenth year in
- 31:55Speaker 3: the NFL and going to the Pro Bowl and doing
- 31:57Speaker 3: all that. But I don't I don't think any team's
- 32:00Speaker 3: gonna use a first or a second round supplemental pick.
- 32:04Speaker 3: But I think the around the third round, I could
- 32:07Speaker 3: see that opening up to go, Yeah, we'll take a
- 32:09Speaker 3: guy that we think has a chance to be a
- 32:10Speaker 3: franchise quarterback. Yeah, we would have liked to him to
- 32:13Speaker 3: play a little bit more football and get that experience,
- 32:16Speaker 3: but there's some talent here. I think there's a possibility
- 32:18Speaker 3: of that, certainly Taylor.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Sin If there's a team that's gonna go worse to first,
- 32:23Speaker 1: meaning last year they finished in last and they'll be
- 32:25Speaker 1: in first place this year, they'll win their division. Which
- 32:28Speaker 1: would that like? Which team would you go with? I'd
- 32:30Speaker 1: go with the New York Giants. I think the Giants
- 32:31Speaker 1: could actually win that division. I know it sounds crazy,
- 32:33Speaker 1: but I think they can.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Well, They're definitely on the short list of teams that
- 32:37Speaker 3: I look at to go. They could be a pain
- 32:39Speaker 3: in the ass. They can maybe be a playoff team
- 32:42Speaker 3: right now, The obvious answer here is the Detroit Lions
- 32:46Speaker 3: because they came in dead last in the NFC nor
- 32:49Speaker 3: But we know that's an incredible division and they have
- 32:52Speaker 3: an incredible football team.
- 32:54Speaker 4: But as I sit here and look.
- 32:55Speaker 3: At divisions right now, I think I'm with you that
- 32:59Speaker 3: if you really looked at canceling out the Lions, Okay,
- 33:03Speaker 3: I look at it and go, yeah, the Giants could
- 33:04Speaker 3: be one of those teams that go worse to first,
- 33:07Speaker 3: New Orleans could possibly be one in the sight where
- 33:10Speaker 3: the just know, no big juggernaut there, right, mother shuckers?
- 33:13Speaker 4: Right, yes, And those are the two that I look at.
- 33:16Speaker 3: I do think, your guys, Jets can be a pain
- 33:18Speaker 3: in the butt and like and maybe be relevant at
- 33:20Speaker 3: least in December, but you know not with Buffalo and
- 33:23Speaker 3: New England at the top of that division right now.
- 33:25Speaker 3: So yeah, I think it's the Giants and the Saints
- 33:27Speaker 3: are probably the two I look at the most capable
- 33:29Speaker 3: of pulling that off.
- 33:31Speaker 2: All right, anything else, guys, you got anything else?
- 33:33Speaker 1: With the great Chris Sims PFT with Mike Florio every
- 33:35Speaker 1: day on Peacock the Unbuttoned podcast as well formerly with
- 33:38Speaker 1: Football Night in America.
- 33:42Speaker 4: I love it keep speaking that hot lava.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Yes, yes, now Sundays with Sims Tailor and Zims Taylor and.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Simms Taylor and Simms, and it's gonna be I feel
- 33:56Speaker 3: like he's gonna be like yeah, if we had that show,
- 33:58Speaker 3: I'd be have to like nudge him like, hey, you
- 34:00Speaker 3: gotta talk, you got to say something that No.
- 34:02Speaker 1: It's the only time he talks is when he is
- 34:04Speaker 1: a microphone. I'm telling you he's a different person. Just
- 34:06Speaker 1: stick a microphone in front of his face.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Next year, I will do that.
- 34:10Speaker 6: So Sims, I'm thinking we do a watch along May
- 34:13Speaker 6: thirties psg Arsenal Champions League Final.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Oh he's in on that, yes, May thirty. Yeah, you're right.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe I'm still hoping I'm gonna get invited to
- 34:22Speaker 3: go to the Chairman's Box.
- 34:23Speaker 4: But if I don't, then that sounds good.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Yes, we'll go to the Chairman's Box with you. Yeah.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I've been asking you go to Lake Tahoe for fucking
- 34:30Speaker 1: ten years. Now you want to join us this year?
- 34:32Speaker 1: What do you think I get a ghost rider?
- 34:34Speaker 7: It's on your network.
- 34:36Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, it's fun.
- 34:40Speaker 4: I mean seriously, I know, I know it is fun.
- 34:42Speaker 4: I don't know. We'll see. I've got some stuff.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I got to figure out how my little sabbatical is
- 34:47Speaker 3: going to go. I think I might be doing some
- 34:49Speaker 3: some traveling in some places and some interviews and stuff here.
- 34:52Speaker 4: But that's a soft no for right now, sorry, Scotts.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Okay, Well, more of us would be a yes.
- 34:58Speaker 4: That would be good advice.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Taylor's right, more us, Okay, I spend more time with us,
- 35:01Speaker 1: all right, work on that, all right, Jah, Sim's get
- 35:03Speaker 1: out of here.
- 35:03Speaker 2: We appreciate the time.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Suit to a soccer game, Jesus Christ. I means if
- 35:08Speaker 1: you're going to dress up, at least see some goals.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Be square. Actually that was a good game game.
- 35:15Speaker 3: I love your kids judging your house, right, Dad, We
- 35:20Speaker 3: only live in a five million dollar house.
- 35:22Speaker 4: It sucks.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Fucking's a bathia man, Jesus Christ. All right.
- 35:29Speaker 3: You know when you live on the street with the
- 35:30Speaker 3: NBA commissioner and you know Judge Judy, you know your
- 35:34Speaker 3: expectations go up a little bit.
- 35:35Speaker 4: So I understand that.
- 35:37Speaker 5: I don't believe I have to share an elevator with
- 35:39Speaker 5: my sister.
- 35:43Speaker 3: My large driveways not even a mile long like everybody
- 35:47Speaker 3: else here, Like what the hell, Dad, we don't even
- 35:51Speaker 3: have three golf holes in front of our house like
- 35:53Speaker 3: the people across the street.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Right, yeah, well it's your fault for living on that street, man,
- 35:57Speaker 2: I mean it is. Yes.
- 35:59Speaker 3: I like being the man on the street. I'm you know,
- 36:01Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm like the hoodlum. They're like, oh gosh,
- 36:05Speaker 3: here comes that ex football player, bringing down the bringing
- 36:08Speaker 3: down the neighborhood.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Uh oh yeah.
- 36:10Speaker 1: But the smaller house on that kind of block is
- 36:12Speaker 1: a more valuable house.
- 36:13Speaker 2: You're you're aware of that.
- 36:14Speaker 1: You know that, right, because they get to live right
- 36:16Speaker 1: next to CC and right next to Judge Judy, right
- 36:18Speaker 1: next to Adams Hilber, right brings brings your value up,
- 36:21Speaker 1: all right, Sims, Get out of here PFT with Mike
