- 0:20Speaker 3: Mark? Mark? I was a huge Uncle Floyd's fan back
- 0:23Speaker 3: in the seventies. When I was twenty six years old.
- 0:26Speaker 3: He announced my birthday and I wanted Uncle Milton's an
- 0:29Speaker 3: harm and all the ants were dead when I got this.
- 0:33Speaker 3: But his show was kind of like a stupy stale show,
- 0:35Speaker 3: you know. It was kind of people will goofed up
- 0:37Speaker 3: in the back line, you can hit him talking, and
- 0:39Speaker 3: he just one goofy thing after another. He did characters.
- 0:42Speaker 3: But yeah, you're right.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It was a kind of a very local, very minor
- 0:47Speaker 1: league copy of the Soupy Sales Show. That's what it was.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Oh absolutely, And Mark, I love Vincent?
- 0:53Speaker 1: You love who Vincent?
- 0:55Speaker 3: Oh buddy Vincent?
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah all right, yeah, Hey, what's the temperature in Arizona?
- 1:00Speaker 3: Uh? You know what, It's seventy two right now. It's
- 1:03Speaker 3: supposed to rain today. But yeah, you know, if you
- 1:06Speaker 3: come out here now it's great, but don't come out
- 1:08Speaker 3: in August is July, and don't forget about it.
- 1:11Speaker 1: One hundred and twenty. Wells, what do you do out
- 1:13Speaker 1: there in the summer on it's one hundred and twenty?
- 1:16Speaker 3: Well, you know what they say in a winter time
- 1:18Speaker 3: back east, you're inside out here in the summertime, you're inside, right.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Well, thanks for calling, yeah, but you know here, we're
- 1:24Speaker 1: inside a couple of days when it snows out there,
- 1:27Speaker 1: it's one hundred and twenty for a couple of months.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Let's go to Let's go to Mike and Bayonne. Mike,
- 1:32Speaker 1: how you doing, Hey, what's going on?
- 1:36Speaker 4: Western Peace? Then? Uncle Floyd was fantastic. I think every
- 1:42Speaker 4: New Jersey and should fly their flags at half masks,
- 1:46Speaker 4: and anyone who doesn't know Uncle Floyd should go on
- 1:49Speaker 4: YouTube and check them out. It was my hero when
- 1:51Speaker 4: I was a teenager.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Well, you see, that's interesting. Uncle Floyd died. I announced
- 1:55Speaker 1: it before. I'm thinking to myself too, a lot of
- 1:57Speaker 1: well people know who Uncle Floyd. Uncle Floyd touched a
- 2:01Speaker 1: lot of lives. I'm trying to think if I I
- 2:03Speaker 1: met him a few times. Actually, remember I used to
- 2:05Speaker 1: do the Saturday Night Show The Oldie Show. He was
- 2:07Speaker 1: on that a couple of times. He was a guest.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to remember. I think I was on the
- 2:12Speaker 1: Uncle Floyd Show once somewhere in the eighties, and I
- 2:16Speaker 1: remember doing a some benefit somewhere with him where I
- 2:20Speaker 1: think I was the MC and he was on the show.
- 2:22Speaker 1: He's a very nice guy in real life. Let's go
- 2:24Speaker 1: to Jimmy and New Milford. Jimmy, how you doing head
- 2:31Speaker 1: short Rock? What do you want a wood chipper? What's
- 2:35Speaker 1: going on there?
- 2:38Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm just asking about that website.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Rock to you?
- 2:42Speaker 2: Okay, yes, did you use that yet?
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yeah? Grock is Okay, it's the AI of Elon Musk.
- 2:48Speaker 1: It's the x AI depends what you want to do.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Groc is very good with some things. You want to
- 2:55Speaker 1: create pictures, I chat, GPT is better. Groc nuck right
- 2:58Speaker 1: as good. You don't sound like the AI type of guy,
- 3:02Speaker 1: but thanks, Yeah, Uh, they're both good. There's a lot
- 3:07Speaker 1: of good ones. But if you want, if you got
- 3:08Speaker 1: a picture and you want to create, you know, take
- 3:11Speaker 1: your picture and create something. Uh Rock pretty good, chat
- 3:17Speaker 1: chipet to look a little more real. Let's go to
- 3:20Speaker 1: Joe in Elmwood, Joe, how are you doing.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark. Sorry to hear about Uncle fyd Uh
- 3:28Speaker 5: and kudos to Vincent.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Uh. I want to talk.
- 3:31Speaker 5: About our new governor. What they did, those two clowns
- 3:35Speaker 5: and uh Trenton. They doubled our energy costs. And now
- 3:40Speaker 5: she's going to put a cap on it to be
- 3:42Speaker 5: the hero.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah, she's going to be a mess. But you guys
- 3:47Speaker 1: are used to it in New Jersey. You keep collecting
- 3:49Speaker 1: these crazy idiots.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:52Speaker 5: And uh, when is uh Nick Shirley going to come
- 3:56Speaker 5: to New Jersey. We're sick of the fraud here.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the other problem, you know. New Jersey is
- 4:01Speaker 1: just waste and fraud and bloat. That's why your taxes
- 4:04Speaker 1: are so high. If you got Nick Shirley and Elon
- 4:07Speaker 1: Musking to bring there to clean it up, doge the
- 4:09Speaker 1: whole thing, your taxes would be about one third of
- 4:12Speaker 1: what they are now. And if you didn't know who
- 4:15Speaker 1: this woman was, if I just played this clip here,
- 4:17Speaker 1: if I didn't tell you who this was, would you
- 4:19Speaker 1: think this is a governor of a state.
- 4:21Speaker 6: I would encourage everyone to, you know what, have a
- 4:25Speaker 6: great family day at home this weekend. Play some born games.
- 4:29Speaker 6: Don't go out in this.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yeah. You see, if you're the mayor or the governor,
- 4:33Speaker 1: you're supposed to put on that jacket, you know, that snowjacket,
- 4:37Speaker 1: that official jacket, and sound very serious and lay out everything.
- 4:41Speaker 1: They'll be over two thousand salt spreaders. We'll be doing this,
- 4:43Speaker 1: We'll be doing that. You're supposed to sound very official, authoritative,
- 4:47Speaker 1: like you've got everything planned. You're not supposed to just
- 4:49Speaker 1: be goofy.
- 4:50Speaker 6: And I would encourage everyone to, you know what, have
- 4:53Speaker 6: a great family day at home this weekend. Play some
- 4:57Speaker 6: born games.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Don't go out we play b games anymore. You do.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I can't imagine when you got eight million TV channels,
- 5:08Speaker 1: when you got eight thousand streaming services, when you got
- 5:10Speaker 1: your phone, your laptop. Who's going to play a board game?
- 5:13Speaker 1: But I guess people do. Hey, Sunday, you got two
- 5:15Speaker 1: great football games that will help. Let's go to Mario
- 5:18Speaker 1: in New Jersey. Mario, how you doing.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Oh, good morning, Mark, thanks to taking my call. Listen,
- 5:25Speaker 2: I'm sorry about Uncle Floyd's passing.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Boy, this Uncle Floyd turns out to be the biggest
- 5:30Speaker 1: story of the day.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It is, and I got to my memories of him
- 5:34Speaker 2: or when I back in the seventies, I was in
- 5:37Speaker 2: the Army and Fort Dix, and before we went out
- 5:41Speaker 2: on maneuvers or whatever, we'd sit in the rec room
- 5:44Speaker 2: and everybody, all these soldiers and all their uniforms, we'd
- 5:47Speaker 2: all be watching Uncle Floyd.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Well, I can't think of anything more inspiring. Are you
- 5:53Speaker 1: supposed to be watching like Paton the movie or something?
- 5:55Speaker 1: But you're watching Uncle Floyd. That's a boy. But a
- 5:58Speaker 1: lot of people remember this guy. Let's go Bill in Lafayette,
- 6:01Speaker 1: New Jersey. Bill, how you doing okay?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Mark? I graduated high school with Looney Skip Rooney, who
- 6:07Speaker 3: was a sidekick on the Uncle Floyd's show, and he
- 6:11Speaker 3: would invite me on the show just to watch once
- 6:13Speaker 3: in a while. So I used to bawl at Eagle
- 6:16Speaker 3: Rock and I walked over to the recording studio and
- 6:20Speaker 3: I talked to Skiff and a couple other people, and
- 6:23Speaker 3: they had this guest waiting in the hallway. So I
- 6:27Speaker 3: walked down and I thought it was Tiny Tim, but
- 6:31Speaker 3: I was mistaken. But they introduced him on the show
- 6:33Speaker 3: later on and it was Howard Stern. I'm going, oh, yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 3: who the hell is this guy?
- 6:39Speaker 1: I forgot about that Howard Stern was on the Uncle
- 6:41Speaker 1: Floyd Show. Yeah, absolutely, back in the eighties. So Uncle Floyd,
- 6:45Speaker 1: it was Looney Skip Rooney, and then who else was
- 6:48Speaker 1: on the show. I'm trying to remember.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Mister silly Ye was one of my favorites, the fat
- 6:56Speaker 3: guy that always eat ate toast at the and a
- 7:01Speaker 3: couple other guys. It's hard to remember, but.
- 7:04Speaker 4: It was a great show.
- 7:05Speaker 3: It was it was silly, it was goofy, it was funny,
- 7:07Speaker 3: it was entertaining, and Loney Skip Rooney was a goof
- 7:12Speaker 3: I actually tied with him as the funniest guy in
- 7:16Speaker 3: the high school, but he beat me out by a
- 7:18Speaker 3: couple of points.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't sound like the bar was too high
- 7:21Speaker 1: in this high school for that time. All right, well,
- 7:27Speaker 1: thanks for calling. Great call. Yeah, so now a lot
- 7:29Speaker 1: of people remember Uncle Floyd. He passed away at the
- 7:32Speaker 1: age of seventy four. Hey, when we come back, Steve
- 7:35Speaker 1: Cuso the Great New York post commas. He covers real estate, restaurants,
- 7:40Speaker 1: what's going on in New York, what's the state of
- 7:42Speaker 1: the city, tourists, office space, restaurants. We'll get to all
- 7:45Speaker 1: of that coming up next on seven to ten. WR
