Latest / Tea Time w/Amie & Bev / Episode #304: Shaping Your Future with Your Self-Talk
Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, everybody, welcome to tea time with Amy and Bev.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Here we are here, we are here, we are.
- 0:11Speaker 1: I think aging is appropriate to talk about aging?
- 0:15Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, bring it on, unless you had something else
- 0:23Speaker 2: to bring up first.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I'll wait.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Oh no, I mean no, it's just kind of you know,
- 0:28Speaker 2: I just kind of flag by the seat of my pants.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I feel like most of the time stuff.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I'm going to talk about my husband for a second.
- 0:36Speaker 1: So last yesterday he was involved in some activities and
- 0:39Speaker 1: so he came home and he's like, oh my gosh,
- 0:42Speaker 1: I didn't realize how old I am or I'm getting
- 0:45Speaker 1: so old, or many comments like that. I was like,
- 0:50Speaker 1: first of all, let me just say I'm seven years
- 0:52Speaker 1: older than him. Okay, I just want to put that
- 0:54Speaker 1: out there. And I said, how up.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I don't know that you're whole.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I just think maybe you're out of shape and need
- 1:04Speaker 1: need to, you know, get back and shave your strength
- 1:07Speaker 1: and all that, and and he's like, well, I just realized,
- 1:11Speaker 1: you know, how much I actually can't see when he's
- 1:13Speaker 1: got to now he what he can see at a distance,
- 1:16Speaker 1: but up close it's difficult. And so uh so I'm
- 1:20Speaker 1: just you know, processing that and and I was thinking,
- 1:26Speaker 1: your your belief system is what's keeping you or keeping
- 1:30Speaker 1: you in that space of feeling old. Uh, there's eighty
- 1:34Speaker 1: year olds that are way more energetic than I have
- 1:37Speaker 1: ever been, you know, and other than when I was
- 1:40Speaker 1: little and playing out in a one hundred degree heat
- 1:43Speaker 1: and just going, you know, balls of the wall of
- 1:47Speaker 1: playing outside and not even thinking about it. But it's
- 1:55Speaker 1: just like, what do you what are you telling yourself?
- 2:00Speaker 1: And then funny thing this morning, I hopped on TikTok
- 2:05Speaker 1: and I've come across this new pastor and I'm sorry,
- 2:09Speaker 1: I don't know his name, but his passage that I
- 2:15Speaker 1: that I was listening to was negative talk. And forget
- 2:22Speaker 1: what words he used, but he didn't call it negative talk.
- 2:24Speaker 1: He called it something else. And he said, you know,
- 2:28Speaker 1: you believe what you're telling yourself.
- 2:31Speaker 2: You believe these words.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And even even if something just briefly happens and you
- 2:40Speaker 1: just say something like, oh my god, I'm so old,
- 2:45Speaker 1: your subconscious takes that in and embraces it because you're
- 2:50Speaker 1: bringing the emotion with it, and then embracing that entire statement,
- 2:55Speaker 1: and your subconscious mind says, oh, okay, well we're old,
- 2:57Speaker 1: So what old people do well. From that perspective, old
- 3:02Speaker 1: people are out of shape, they have no energy, they
- 3:08Speaker 1: can't see like all the negative stuff. And again, going
- 3:13Speaker 1: back to what we talked about in the previous video,
- 3:16Speaker 1: is that's a story you're telling yourself that is not
- 3:20Speaker 1: the facts.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're programming, you're programming this to be in
- 3:25Speaker 2: your system right now. But we don't realize that that.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I mean, we do, but a lot of other people don't.
- 3:31Speaker 2: And even though we do, I say I do, Even
- 3:35Speaker 2: though I do, I still fall back into my own stuff.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and there was then and then so that was
- 3:43Speaker 1: a brief whatever, one minute thing on TikTok. Right, So yeah, well,
- 3:47Speaker 1: I mean breakfast, I'm listening to Next Level Soul. It's
- 3:50Speaker 1: Alex Ferrari and he's talking to a gentleman who went
- 3:55Speaker 1: through this horrendous accident. Shouldn't even be alive. He wakes up,
- 4:00Speaker 1: but the doctors tell him that he's got like eleven
- 4:06Speaker 1: broken bones. He's not going to walk again, Like, just
- 4:10Speaker 1: give him the whole lay down of how horrible his
- 4:12Speaker 1: body is at this moment. And he said, when he
- 4:17Speaker 1: was little, his mom, well, his eighteen month old sister
- 4:25Speaker 1: died and his mom was giving her CPR and trying
- 4:29Speaker 1: to bring her back to life. Well then he said,
- 4:32Speaker 1: like six months later, my mom started a program helping
- 4:36Speaker 1: other parents who have experienced child death. And he's like, So,
- 4:43Speaker 1: as they were telling me all these things, you know,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm laying in my bed, I got poses everywhere, and
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm laughing and I'm joking and I'm having great conversations
- 4:55Speaker 1: and all this. And the doctors and nurses were so
- 4:57Speaker 1: concerned about his denial of what he was like that
- 5:01Speaker 1: they called his parents to tell his parents how concerned
- 5:04Speaker 1: they are because he is in denial. He's being too happy,
- 5:07Speaker 1: he's laughing, he's joking. His dad came in to talk
- 5:10Speaker 1: to him. I'm just like, wow, Wow, this is the norm.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Because they said, you need to be sad, depressed, angry, frustrated,
- 5:21Speaker 1: you should be experiencing all these and you don't seem
- 5:23Speaker 1: to be doing that, and so we're concerned, Like, wow,
- 5:29Speaker 1: this is a mentality. So I took that and I was,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you know, as I was listening to this, and I
- 5:35Speaker 1: was thinking, you know, recently, my mom had a procedure done.
- 5:40Speaker 1: She had a minor stroke during the procedure. So when
- 5:43Speaker 1: she came out. She couldn't talk or I armed and operate,
- 5:46Speaker 1: and she had to learn she has to learn to
- 5:51Speaker 1: use all that again. But every day we laughed and
- 5:55Speaker 1: laughed and laughed, and we were laughing so hard we
- 5:58Speaker 1: were crying, like it was. The spirit in her room
- 6:02Speaker 1: was high, and the nurses loved coming into her room
- 6:07Speaker 1: even when we weren't there. We were there for like
- 6:09Speaker 1: eight to ten hours every single day with her in
- 6:11Speaker 1: a room, and even when we weren't there, she kept
- 6:15Speaker 1: that same mentality, same energy. The nurses loved to go
- 6:19Speaker 1: into her room. It was she was like the breath
- 6:23Speaker 1: of fresh air on that floor because it was the
- 6:25Speaker 1: floor was all stroke victims I and I'm so grateful
- 6:31Speaker 1: I had that experience. And now I'm listening to this.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I just started listening to this podcast and it was like, yeah,
- 6:37Speaker 1: you know, it just takes one person to change. It
- 6:41Speaker 1: takes one person to change the dynamics and start teaching
- 6:45Speaker 1: other people how it. Things can be different.
- 6:49Speaker 2: And it's okay, programming celebrations of life instead of funerals,
- 6:54Speaker 2: you know stuff. It's to me, it's like that's all,
- 6:57Speaker 2: that's all part of it. And expectations. So if we
- 7:01Speaker 2: can go to grieving and stuff. There's an expectation that
- 7:03Speaker 2: people are supposed to grieve a certain way, and I
- 7:05Speaker 2: learned that walking through that and realize it does that's
- 7:08Speaker 2: not the same way for everybody. And just because you
- 7:10Speaker 2: see someone with a smile on her face or you
- 7:12Speaker 2: see someone not crying, doesn't mean they're not processing things.
- 7:15Speaker 2: They're just doing it differently than what you've learned. And
- 7:17Speaker 2: that's all that is. Again, it's all programming. It's that's
- 7:21Speaker 2: it's the same thing, and it's also expect it's also
- 7:25Speaker 2: what it's.
- 7:26Speaker 1: An assumption too on my part. So so when somebody
- 7:29Speaker 1: has a loved one transition, my assumption is this person
- 7:36Speaker 1: super sad and super deep, like emotionally distraught and all
- 7:42Speaker 1: the things. That's my story. Yeah, and it takes one
- 7:49Speaker 1: person to start changing that story right, to be different,
- 7:55Speaker 1: to have different conversations, to have a different mindset and
- 8:02Speaker 1: let other people, yeah, we're sad that you know this,
- 8:04Speaker 1: this loved one has transitioned. And look at the beautiful
- 8:08Speaker 1: life you had together, or look at all the memories
- 8:10Speaker 1: you created, or look at the children that you created,
- 8:12Speaker 1: or write and all there there's all these amazing stories.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Also you know, there's this to me, there's the spiritual
- 8:21Speaker 1: side of a spiritual aspects of it that you know,
- 8:24Speaker 1: that person showed up in this lifetime to help you
- 8:30Speaker 1: with whatever it is you're supposed to move through. And
- 8:33Speaker 1: that was one of the things that Alex mentioned to
- 8:35Speaker 1: this guy was, you know, you know when I think
- 8:38Speaker 1: about reincarnation and stuff like, because the guy was talking
- 8:43Speaker 1: about how if you hadn't had that experience with his
- 8:47Speaker 1: sister dying and his mom starting that group, it wouldn't
- 8:51Speaker 1: have been in his subconscious mind to take what his
- 8:54Speaker 1: experiences to help other people. Because he wrote a book
- 8:57Speaker 1: several years ago and and and has been like international
- 9:03Speaker 1: speaker and just all the things. But he's like, if
- 9:06Speaker 1: that one thing hadn't happened, I don't think I would
- 9:09Speaker 1: be where I am today. And that was Alex's Alex
- 9:13Speaker 1: brings in the spirit side right of well, when when
- 9:18Speaker 1: before you guys came here, your sister prior or your
- 9:20Speaker 1: spirit of your sister said, you know, I'm going to
- 9:22Speaker 1: go in after you, and this is kind of what
- 9:26Speaker 1: my role is going to be, and it's going to
- 9:27Speaker 1: help you, and then it's going to help mom and dad,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and you know it's like make creating a play like
- 9:34Speaker 1: these are these are the actors, and this is what
- 9:36Speaker 1: we're gonna do, and this is how it's going to
- 9:37Speaker 1: help humanity. And then they come and they played that out,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and so uh, I just find all those dynamics interesting
- 9:46Speaker 1: when it comes to whether reincarnation is part of the
- 9:51Speaker 1: equation or not. It's the one person who can make
- 9:55Speaker 1: a difference.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I like that, And it was a positive experience because
- 10:03Speaker 2: I was thinking about that, even the loss of the
- 10:05Speaker 2: daughter that that spurred the mom in doing different things too.
- 10:09Speaker 2: It like, you, all these things are for our greatest good, really,
- 10:13Speaker 2: and it doesn't always feel like it when we're walking
- 10:15Speaker 2: through it.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Oh no, it's treacherous.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Sometimes it is. It really is, yeah, or it really
- 10:25Speaker 2: feels like it right yeah.
- 10:27Speaker 1: And then on the other side of it, look at
- 10:29Speaker 1: all the amazing things that come out of it, and
- 10:31Speaker 1: you're just like, oh my god, I'm so glad that happened.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Not in the moment, not in the moment. Not in
- 10:36Speaker 1: the moment. Man, it sucks. It sucks hard, but it's
- 10:40Speaker 1: like later and it might be might be an hour,
- 10:44Speaker 1: it might be ten years. When you look back on
- 10:47Speaker 1: an experience and go wow, because that happened. Look where
- 10:53Speaker 1: I am And it's not even It's not even because
- 10:58Speaker 1: that happened. It's because of the choice and decisions I
- 11:01Speaker 1: made because that happened. Because they can go in a
- 11:05Speaker 1: million different directions, and life can turn out a million
- 11:09Speaker 1: different ways, but based on the choices and the decisions
- 11:13Speaker 1: you made after an experience happens, even a heavy experience
- 11:19Speaker 1: I'm I'm is my example is a heavy experience. Depending
- 11:24Speaker 1: on the choices and decisions you make from that is
- 11:27Speaker 1: the trajectory of what direction your life is going to
- 11:30Speaker 1: go in. And any any influencer, spiritual teacher you know
- 11:38Speaker 1: and guarantee every single one of us has a story
- 11:42Speaker 1: where we took our mess and turned it into our message.
- 11:47Speaker 1: But we had to have the story and it's not
- 11:50Speaker 1: going through that story. But when we got on the
- 11:52Speaker 1: other side, we're like, all right, my story can help
- 11:55Speaker 1: other people.
- 11:59Speaker 2: And from perspective, your story has helped other people. You know,
- 12:03Speaker 2: from that perspective, because it like for the last video
- 12:06Speaker 2: we were talking about tapping and finding other tools because
- 12:10Speaker 2: you decided to turn things around for yourself and not
- 12:13Speaker 2: stay in that victim place or to explore you find
- 12:17Speaker 2: out who you are. You did all these things and
- 12:20Speaker 2: then helped open up another doorway. Now because of the
- 12:23Speaker 2: experiences that you've gone through in your life that drove
- 12:26Speaker 2: you to those tools, now you're sharing them. I feel
- 12:30Speaker 2: like at the divine right timing because you're listening to spirit,
- 12:33Speaker 2: You're you're opened for the flow, and you're just like, Okay,
- 12:36Speaker 2: we're gonna grab this tool today for this person. And
- 12:38Speaker 2: you just automatically did that. So it's important. This is
- 12:43Speaker 2: all very important.
- 12:45Speaker 1: It's been many of years of learning all of that too,
- 12:49Speaker 1: so I will say that.
- 12:52Speaker 2: It really is and teaching it too. You and you've
- 12:55Speaker 2: also taught shown how. I don't know if you'd necessarily
- 12:58Speaker 2: have taught it, but I think I mean for me,
- 13:00Speaker 2: when you have the experience, you're gaining knowledge right then,
- 13:03Speaker 2: So to me, that is you're you are teaching others
- 13:06Speaker 2: how to empower themselves. It's still the same thing. You're
- 13:08Speaker 2: still empowering others.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm gonna I'm gonna date ourselves here. But
- 13:12Speaker 1: remember inspector Gadget, where you'd open up this trench coat
- 13:15Speaker 1: and you'd have all those you know, that's me like,
- 13:18Speaker 1: but my trench coat is very big and heavy, not
- 13:21Speaker 1: heavy but full. It's full of those tools and it's like, okay, well,
- 13:26Speaker 1: which one am I gonna use today?
- 13:29Speaker 2: It's nice, it's nice.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it's fun and I and now and now, at
- 13:36Speaker 1: this point in my life, I embrace and appreciate having
- 13:41Speaker 1: the experiences I had to bring me to where I am,
- 13:44Speaker 1: all the people along the path who has helped me
- 13:47Speaker 1: learn and grow within myself, who have supported me. Life
- 13:54Speaker 1: is a thousand times better than it was when I
- 13:57Speaker 1: was younger. But it's only because of what I've done
- 14:02Speaker 1: for myself. It wasn't because of what other people did
- 14:05Speaker 1: for me. Is how they showed up to help me
- 14:09Speaker 1: so I could help myself. If the books weren't written,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I wouldn't have read the books, If the speeches weren't given,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I wouldn't have listened to the speeches, if the podcast
- 14:20Speaker 1: hadn't come around and be listening to podcasts right. So
- 14:22Speaker 1: it took other people who I'd never have met and
- 14:25Speaker 1: in person to create things to help me, and now
- 14:30Speaker 1: I get to turn around and help others. So it's
- 14:34Speaker 1: this is part of life. This is we're here to
- 14:37Speaker 1: help each other. Thank you.
- 14:41Speaker 2: And I do believe that we are, but I will
- 14:44Speaker 2: say thank you again, yeah, because I do appreciate.
- 14:46Speaker 1: It and the fact that we get to do these
- 14:51Speaker 1: these recordings together. We have over three hundred videos we've done. Wow, saying.
- 15:01Speaker 2: That's a lot.
- 15:01Speaker 1: That's saying.
- 15:05Speaker 2: We've had a lot of fun. A lot of growth
- 15:07Speaker 2: has happened in those videos.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Girl, if we went back whatever, six years, seven years,
- 15:12Speaker 1: six years ago, just one second, carry on six years ago,
- 15:18Speaker 1: we won't we wouldn't even recognize ourselves. We would still
- 15:21Speaker 1: be like, oh I love that girl because where she
- 15:24Speaker 1: was at at that time, and so uh, it's a
- 15:30Speaker 1: it's just interesting how much we we as I BEV
- 15:34Speaker 1: and I have grown just by showing up and doing
- 15:37Speaker 1: these recordings with each together.
- 15:38Speaker 2: So that's awesome. My dogs have seen something outside and
- 15:47Speaker 2: some now they're howling. So I don't know how much
- 15:48Speaker 2: you're hearing of that.
- 15:49Speaker 1: No, I can't hear it. We're good.
- 15:52Speaker 2: That amazing.
- 15:54Speaker 1: They're just excited.
- 15:56Speaker 2: They are what exactly over? What were you? What was
- 16:01Speaker 2: what were you just saying? Because now it's like confirmation
- 16:03Speaker 2: right to me, it's like confirmation, like listen up, yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 2: yeah right, I have a message for you.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I have a message. Now you have to go watch
- 16:10Speaker 1: the video and to hear what I said. I know
- 16:14Speaker 1: you heard that.
- 16:15Speaker 2: People back it up a little bit. See when I
- 16:18Speaker 2: then hold on a second because they were starting up.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I was like, I don't know what's going on out there.
- 16:22Speaker 2: So there's probably some cows on the property somewhere that
- 16:25Speaker 2: they can see, and they're like, get them off. They're
- 16:28Speaker 2: so happy.
- 16:29Speaker 1: They're just happy the alarm system.
- 16:32Speaker 2: They are.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Fine. AnyWho, do you have anything else to add to
- 16:42Speaker 1: the equation before we wrap it up?
- 16:47Speaker 2: You know, just going back even to the first video,
- 16:51Speaker 2: you know, just being aware of the stories that you're
- 16:54Speaker 2: telling yourselves all the time, because I because I do
- 16:56Speaker 2: it too. I'm not totally I'm not innocent of it,
- 17:00Speaker 2: and so I tell people that because it's like I've
- 17:02Speaker 2: caught myself in my stories, and then the story is
- 17:05Speaker 2: so overdramatized. I could use different examples. I mean I could,
- 17:10Speaker 2: I had. I can create the way someone looks in
- 17:13Speaker 2: my mind, and now I'm creating that, and I could
- 17:16Speaker 2: create from that, and it's then I look back at
- 17:18Speaker 2: pictures and find out, yeah that now that's not even
- 17:21Speaker 2: the same. I don't know how you got from here
- 17:23Speaker 2: to there, but it's because the story you started creating.
- 17:26Speaker 2: And I remember even staying even about someone that was
- 17:30Speaker 2: in my life, it's like, oh, he you know, he
- 17:32Speaker 2: does this stuff all the time. Recognizing now that people
- 17:35Speaker 2: were marrying and they are, things are going to be
- 17:37Speaker 2: a little bit more eye catching, they might be a
- 17:39Speaker 2: little bit more dramatic, so that you can kind of
- 17:41Speaker 2: see instead of being like, oh, well he's doing this
- 17:44Speaker 2: and oh, you know, carrying on about it, it's recognizing
- 17:48Speaker 2: its shown up in your experience for a reason. So
- 17:51Speaker 2: all these things, these things have shown up in my
- 17:53Speaker 2: experience just like that, and I've seen someone else maybe
- 17:57Speaker 2: behaving a certain way. I'm like, he's always just telling
- 18:00Speaker 2: themselves stories and then he spins it. He spins it
- 18:02Speaker 2: out of control, not realizing that I was doing the
- 18:05Speaker 2: same exact thing until I started walking through it. And
- 18:07Speaker 2: that was a few years ago. So if we want
- 18:09Speaker 2: to talk about that, you know, like you just said,
- 18:12Speaker 2: it could be years down the road and then you
- 18:13Speaker 2: recognize where that was, what what the meaning of that was,
- 18:16Speaker 2: or or you know, what it entailed on it from
- 18:20Speaker 2: a such a bigger picture. And but we can't always
- 18:23Speaker 2: see the bigger picture at the time because we're looking
- 18:26Speaker 2: at it through whatever eyes, our programming that we're looking
- 18:29Speaker 2: at some of these things, these experiences, but again recognizing
- 18:33Speaker 2: we're the one that's painting the picture, and you can
- 18:35Speaker 2: put whatever you want in that picture, but doesn't mean
- 18:37Speaker 2: that's exactly what you saw when you put made that picture.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Just like you can have a bunch of artists around
- 18:43Speaker 2: the same display that they're all going to color, their
- 18:46Speaker 2: draw paint whatever, and it's all gonna look different from
- 18:49Speaker 2: each person's perspective because they see it differently. Energetically, they
- 18:53Speaker 2: see it differently, So it's it's kind of from from
- 18:57Speaker 2: that perspective, it's that could be fun, but like you
- 18:59Speaker 2: said said earlier, when you're going through it, it's not
- 19:03Speaker 2: so much fun. Not so much fun, not until you
- 19:06Speaker 2: like get that tool, or you listen to that message,
- 19:09Speaker 2: or you talk to your friend because you asked for help.
- 19:14Speaker 2: You don't know until you until you walk through those
- 19:17Speaker 2: and get different perspectives on things, different processes.
