Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett. Well, there are two news
- 0:06Speaker 1: items I wanted to update you with. Thanks for listening
- 0:09Speaker 1: to the introspective earlier today, but in case you didn't
- 0:12Speaker 1: hear yet on the one that got Alex news, two
- 0:15Speaker 1: fronts I want to update you with. I talked about
- 0:18Speaker 1: Don Lemon about a week ago with him and the
- 0:21Speaker 1: protests of storming the church. Well, he was arrested earlier
- 0:27Speaker 1: last night in LA but there's nothing to that now.
- 0:30Speaker 1: He was released with no bail, So he is now
- 0:35Speaker 1: going to be back out on the streets, probably talking
- 0:38Speaker 1: about this and complaining about that and being arrested and
- 0:41Speaker 1: all that. And so that's the news item there. He
- 0:44Speaker 1: was arrested, nothing came about it. He's been released.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Good.
- 0:49Speaker 1: What can I say? But the bigger story, and Ryan
- 0:53Speaker 1: and I talked about this off Mike, but I talked
- 0:57Speaker 1: about it last couple of weeks ago. Looks like a
- 1:00Speaker 1: technicality will definitely free Luigi Mangioni. That is the story
- 1:05Speaker 1: in New York City today because they had the death
- 1:09Speaker 1: penalty on the table, but the judge took the death
- 1:12Speaker 1: penalty off the table. Whether to believe he deserves to
- 1:16Speaker 1: die or not. I don't think he will now face
- 1:19Speaker 1: any consequence. It felt like death penalty or not. So
- 1:23Speaker 1: that's my other update is Mangioni, as I predicted, would
- 1:27Speaker 1: be off on a technicality and maybe more than just
- 1:31Speaker 1: free to death penalty. He might be released. He might
- 1:35Speaker 1: be released, which I just I feel like someone has
- 1:39Speaker 1: to be made an example of for that shooting of
- 1:42Speaker 1: Brian Thompson, and it may not be one Luigi Mangioni.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Now they go back to the drawing board and find
- 1:51Speaker 1: the actual suspect. If there's another suspect out there, then
- 1:55Speaker 1: we'll go forward. But right now you watch. If he
- 1:59Speaker 1: gets relieved, it will be like the Joker being released,
- 2:03Speaker 1: and it will be almost like an emboldening of others
- 2:08Speaker 1: that want to do harm, because if this guy doesn't
- 2:11Speaker 1: face consequences, who's the next you know out there that
- 2:16Speaker 1: wants to do it? Ah won't face consequences. And let
- 2:19Speaker 1: me tell you exactly why he may not face any charges.
- 2:24Speaker 1: First of all, today a federal drub job two of
- 2:27Speaker 1: the four charges against Maggio and making his case no
- 2:30Speaker 1: longer eligible for the death penalty. While he's accused of
- 2:33Speaker 1: killing Thompson on December fourth, four, police say the words delayed, deposed,
- 2:39Speaker 1: deny was written on the ammunition used, but the charges
- 2:43Speaker 1: of murder through use of a firearm and a firearms
- 2:46Speaker 1: offence were dropped. Now you can make the argument that
- 2:51Speaker 1: these officers arrested him the wrong way. You can make
- 2:58Speaker 1: that very valid argument. But what I'm trying to say
- 3:01Speaker 1: is if he does get released on all charges, then
- 3:06Speaker 1: the manhunt must continue. You cannot let the face of
- 3:12Speaker 1: this crime go while he might be innocent, without following
- 3:18Speaker 1: up and saying we're gonna find the next one, whether
- 3:19Speaker 1: the find the actual killer. Because here's the deal. You
- 3:23Speaker 1: let the face of this murder, this cold blooded shot
- 3:28Speaker 1: in the back assassination go, because, let's face it, innocent
- 3:34Speaker 1: or not, he is the face of this crime right now,
- 3:37Speaker 1: you let him go. If you don't follow up with
- 3:42Speaker 1: a arrest of the right person, a present will be set.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Idiots will be emboldened, and we cannot have that. So
- 3:53Speaker 1: I hope they think long and arduous about dropping the
- 3:58Speaker 1: other two if they do, but if they don't, then
- 4:02Speaker 1: justice will have prevailed there too. But if they do
- 4:06Speaker 1: drop them, you can say innocent, uh and proven until
- 4:14Speaker 1: proven guilty, or innocent and not guilty, I guess you'd say,
- 4:18Speaker 1: but if he is guilty, then justice was served either way.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I agree that see, someone has to face consequences for
- 4:32Speaker 1: his murder. If it's not Luigi Manngeum, and if it's
- 4:36Speaker 1: not Mangion, then those detectives and those bloodhounds that need
- 4:43Speaker 1: to find need to find this killer. If this guy
- 4:47Speaker 1: was in fact a patsy for the actual shooter, we
- 4:52Speaker 1: must find the shooter. And so it found guilty, the
- 4:57Speaker 1: maximum tendency now faces his life without the possible of parole,
- 5:02Speaker 1: which means he won't get guaranteed release. He'll be in jail,
- 5:05Speaker 1: arrested with life. But if you can find charges dropped
- 5:11Speaker 1: on two of them, who's to say, as the digging
- 5:16Speaker 1: continues and the investigations continue into the investigation of the arrest,
- 5:22Speaker 1: that more will be dropped. I think we are headed
- 5:27Speaker 1: Ashley and Ryan for a complete dismissal of charges here.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I think we're going to see it, because if you
- 5:37Speaker 1: drop two, who's to say they're not going to drop
- 5:39Speaker 1: the other two?
- 5:40Speaker 2: Well, that just proves that maybe they were doing a
- 5:42Speaker 2: sloppy investigation. Maybe they thought maybe they were just trying
- 5:46Speaker 2: to look for someone to be the face and they
- 5:49Speaker 2: put anybody as any tip as the actual person.
- 5:53Speaker 1: That's what it starts to look like after a while.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I mean, I learned from Ryan today they didn't even
- 5:57Speaker 1: Miranda Rights didn't. I didn't even know that was the case.
- 6:01Speaker 2: That's I'm saying. They're just doing anything because they don't
- 6:03Speaker 2: want to look incompetent. So they did any tip that
- 6:06Speaker 2: they had, and they could have planted anything, and it
- 6:09Speaker 2: looks like that, and that's unlawful for him, especially now
- 6:15Speaker 2: that he's branded for life. And like how you're saying
- 6:18Speaker 2: he's the joker when you don't know that it's innocent
- 6:22Speaker 2: until proven guilty.
- 6:23Speaker 1: That's true.
- 6:24Speaker 2: So he that's what I mean, you have now uh
- 6:27Speaker 2: a brand on him, on him that he can be
- 6:31Speaker 2: considered a dangerous.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Person well, being hauled in on this arrested on this
- 6:35Speaker 1: killing already put a pretty bad name to him. Exactly
- 6:38Speaker 1: my point.
- 6:39Speaker 2: So they did something, They branded him as dangerous evil
- 6:42Speaker 2: when they didn't.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Even do their due diligence.
- 6:45Speaker 2: And if everything gets chopped, it's now they're already proved.
- 6:49Speaker 2: They're saying, how it is, it's it's now a different story.
- 6:53Speaker 2: It's now guilty until proven innocent and not innocent ntil proven.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Guilty and Karen and and by the way, could tell
- 7:00Speaker 1: the Arthur Della power where legallys is really seeping through
- 7:03Speaker 1: our minds here as we keep talking about all these
- 7:05Speaker 1: different cases. Manjo attorney carry Karen Agnifico thanks the court
- 7:11Speaker 1: for what she called an incredible decision. And I have
- 7:14Speaker 1: been preying. Look, they've been digging in their heels too.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I mean, this defense has actually done well to prove
- 7:21Speaker 1: man Jones innocence. I gotta give him credit where credits due.
- 7:25Speaker 1: But overall, again, he's gotta be I think thirty one overall, Luigi, Yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 1: he's I think he is.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I think he's young.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I'll take a look again.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I think he's a baby. And I think he's like
- 7:41Speaker 2: Ryan's age baby.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I stand correct, he's twenty seven years old, just four years.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And I just aged you well, no, I aged him down.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I said, you're a baby. But anyway, this this man
- 7:54Speaker 1: the only character, and of course the bizarre FBI fake
- 7:59Speaker 1: that was trying to get him out prison. It's just
- 8:01Speaker 1: crazy what's going on this week. But the bottom line
- 8:03Speaker 1: here is, as a follow up to a couple of
- 8:05Speaker 1: weeks ago when I said they were going to actually
- 8:08Speaker 1: let him go, uh, at least on a couple of
- 8:11Speaker 1: charges of technicalities. I think we're on the full path,
- 8:15Speaker 1: the full path because he wasn't arrested in the proper
- 8:18Speaker 1: way from what it seems like of a complete exoneration.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I get chills saying that, because I want to believe
- 8:27Speaker 1: if you're roped into something like this, you have a
- 8:30Speaker 1: role and you know.
- 8:33Speaker 2: To be certain people.
- 8:36Speaker 1: And now you and you you put this guy up
- 8:39Speaker 1: as the face of the murder, makes you question who
- 8:42Speaker 1: the actual guy is. And if they drop up all
- 8:44Speaker 1: four charges, We're not there yet, but I think we're
- 8:47Speaker 1: getting there. And when we get there, well, I'm an
- 8:50Speaker 1: updated again on the one that up network, But this is, uh,
- 8:56Speaker 1: this is quite a topsy turvy situation. We went from
- 9:01Speaker 1: the cold bloody killing whoever did it was killing this
- 9:05Speaker 1: Thompson in cold blood. I still want to believe they
- 9:09Speaker 1: got the right guy, because I want to believe in
- 9:11Speaker 1: law enforcement. I want to believe in the right way.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But if it comes down to where Judge Garnett cannot
- 9:20Speaker 1: prove him completely guilty, I mean, they've already dropped two
- 9:24Speaker 1: and I want to know where the killer is and
- 9:26Speaker 1: I'm going to say the same thing about Robinson. This
- 9:29Speaker 1: Tyler Robinson, a lot of people are like, well, did
- 9:33Speaker 1: he actually shoot Charlie Kirk. There's a lot of questions
- 9:36Speaker 1: about that too. So we have two pivotal assassination cases
- 9:43Speaker 1: going on these trials, and so far a lot of
- 9:48Speaker 1: doubts being cast on both of them. And so the
- 9:52Speaker 1: Robinson case the Man's you own case are two pivotal
- 9:56Speaker 1: cases that I think will decide if we have accountability. Remember, adaptability, accessibility,
- 10:03Speaker 1: and accountability are the three main themes of this show. Yeah,
- 10:06Speaker 1: I dabble in sports and politics and whatever, but those
- 10:10Speaker 1: are the three corps because thirteen years ago I started
- 10:13Speaker 1: the show on how we can make sure our tax
- 10:16Speaker 1: dollars are held accountable. Now it's just overall accountability. Anyway,
- 10:22Speaker 1: these two cases, in my eyes, will tell us accountability
- 10:31Speaker 1: because okay, if we don't holmanjo own accountabil for this
- 10:38Speaker 1: shooting because of technicalities and because of other things, other
- 10:44Speaker 1: other issues within the investigations of the arrest themselves. So
- 10:48Speaker 1: to me, these two cases are pivotal. If these two
- 10:53Speaker 1: are found innocent, then I'll consider it one of the
- 10:59Speaker 1: biggest two of the big as screw ups since the
- 11:02Speaker 1: Kennedy assassination, where we still don't know a lot files
- 11:06Speaker 1: are still to be released. But I digress, and if
- 11:12Speaker 1: in fact these two are found innocent, in my view,
- 11:17Speaker 1: they have to go back to the drawing real fast
- 11:19Speaker 1: and find the actual killers. Yes, there is innocent until
- 11:23Speaker 1: proven guilty, but as these judges are working through every
- 11:31Speaker 1: aspect of these cases, I truly hope that you're looking
- 11:40Speaker 1: right at me. So my point being is these two
- 11:43Speaker 1: cases are extremely important to keep an eye on, and
- 11:50Speaker 1: I do believe in innocent until proven guilty and that
- 11:54Speaker 1: these trials should be fair. But if you put these
- 11:59Speaker 1: two up as the faces of brutal assassinations, cold blooded
- 12:05Speaker 1: assassination of Brian Thompson in in Midtown, the shocking assassination
- 12:12Speaker 1: of Charlie Kirk in Utah, then you better go to
- 12:22Speaker 1: the drawing board real fast, because people are not only
- 12:28Speaker 1: gonna laugh and God forbid cheer luigiman Gian, who I
- 12:35Speaker 1: think the jury literally is still out on him. They
- 12:38Speaker 1: may even have found a jury yet, by the way
- 12:41Speaker 1: that comes in September, the deliberate, the jury deliberations and
- 12:45Speaker 1: jury selections. But when these two charges dropped I truly
- 12:55Speaker 1: believe that we could be on the way to a
- 13:01Speaker 1: full innocent verdict of Luigi Mangio, which would be an
- 13:07Speaker 1: embarrassment of riches and demand, and would demand they find
- 13:14Speaker 1: the killer fast before the next psycho wants to kill.
- 13:24Speaker 1: We must have one lag up on justice yes, and
- 13:29Speaker 1: vigilance yes. But if you clear these two faces of
- 13:39Speaker 1: these horrific assassinations, then you have one leg up over
- 13:44Speaker 1: these killers, one way or the other, and you'd better
- 13:50Speaker 1: have it fast.
