- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast with Dave Hughes Logis.
- 0:05Speaker 2: The other night I was on the red carpet.
- 0:06Speaker 3: You weren't there, Now, I wasn't invited, so that's why
- 0:12Speaker 3: I wasn't there. But look, what have I gone? I
- 0:15Speaker 3: might if I only go to Logis when I'm on stage.
- 0:17Speaker 3: You know I don't win Logis, but I presented a
- 0:20Speaker 3: lot of logies. I've opened it many times. And if
- 0:23Speaker 3: I can get a laugh from stage, I go. If
- 0:26Speaker 3: I'm just in the room pretending to be happy for
- 0:29Speaker 3: other people winning award, I don't go.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Well, I respect that. But did you watch the Logis?
- 0:35Speaker 5: And did you see that Robert Irwin made a little
- 0:37Speaker 5: joke about you.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Oh have we got it?
- 0:39Speaker 4: We do have it?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Okay, I will.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Play it for anyone who hasn't heard.
- 0:43Speaker 6: Apparently I hear that Channel ten is also developing a
- 0:47Speaker 6: reboot of Hughesy.
- 0:49Speaker 2: We have a problem, and.
- 0:53Speaker 6: I think it's called no, seriously, Hughesy, we have a problem.
- 0:57Speaker 4: What do you think of that? Hughesy?
- 1:01Speaker 3: Look, I love being mentioned. I'm not going to lie. Yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 3: I'm happy for Robert to get a laugh. I'm happy
- 1:10Speaker 3: to be to be No, if you know what I mean,
- 1:15Speaker 3: And I have been on that stage many times mocking
- 1:17Speaker 3: other people, so you know, I think I played that
- 1:20Speaker 3: a pretty pain sort of joke. I don't have a
- 1:22Speaker 3: problem with that. I really Robert the nice guy, he
- 1:25Speaker 3: wouldn't have written that joke that was on the auto
- 1:27Speaker 3: and you read it in good luck to it.
- 1:29Speaker 5: What do you think in terms of because we had
- 1:30Speaker 5: Sampaign hosting for three years prior to Robert, obviously very
- 1:34Speaker 5: different in their hosting style. But by your preference, which
- 1:37Speaker 5: one do you think did a better job?
- 1:39Speaker 4: Sampaign Robert Owin?
- 1:41Speaker 3: I think I think I did a better job. So yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 3: I think I did the best job. And I don't
- 1:47Speaker 3: really want to any debate about anyone else.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Well, well back yourself, back yourself, let's do other debates
- 1:53Speaker 1: here now, Shoesie, I had you on on my podcast behind.
- 1:56Speaker 2: The mic plug, don't look it up. I got you on.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Therefore, we just going to chat about your career and stuff,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and it went on this long winded anti government tangent.
- 2:06Speaker 1: And I thank you, by the way, your videos did
- 2:09Speaker 1: very well for me. But tell me incredibly well, because
- 2:12Speaker 1: people are angry, what's going on? Because a lot of
- 2:15Speaker 1: people have said, what's happened to Shoesy? You really are
- 2:18Speaker 1: angry at the current government, right.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I am, and I think we all should be, and
- 2:25Speaker 3: we aren't aware. And I've spend many who's not being
- 2:28Speaker 3: aware enough of what they do with our money. And
- 2:32Speaker 3: what they do with our money is they steal it
- 2:34Speaker 3: and they hand out massive inflated contracts for work that
- 2:39Speaker 3: doesn't need to be done to make to theirs and
- 2:42Speaker 3: everyone gets a leak of the ice cream except the
- 2:45Speaker 3: poor taxpayer or anyone in Australia who's not in the
- 2:49Speaker 3: club guide. So we've got to be more aware. I
- 2:53Speaker 3: know I sound like a cooker and that's what I've
- 2:54Speaker 3: been told, but you know it's true.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Okay, it's actually true.
- 2:58Speaker 3: And so that you're paying today is going to a
- 3:03Speaker 3: government at three levels council, state and federal and they
- 3:08Speaker 3: are doing nothing with it that is productive for the
- 3:10Speaker 3: country and it's making everyone poorer and we need to
- 3:13Speaker 3: change the syst Okay.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Now, I saw a video where because you you're upset
- 3:17Speaker 1: about the negative gearing changes, and I saw a video where.
- 3:20Speaker 2: You were addressing the FAI.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Well, people have said on that you're just angry because
- 3:26Speaker 1: you're a wealthy land owner and you have you're pissed
- 3:30Speaker 1: off of the government because they're going to tax you more,
- 3:32Speaker 1: though they wouldn't cause you're exempt from this anyway.
- 3:34Speaker 2: But what do you say to that.
- 3:35Speaker 1: People are just saying, it's a rich, old white man
- 3:37Speaker 1: who's got a lot of money and tenants in his
- 3:39Speaker 1: homes and you're just angry because the government's going to
- 3:42Speaker 1: tax people.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Well, the day of Rachael white Man, they're racist and
- 3:47Speaker 3: that's for so No. I well, the people can say
- 3:51Speaker 3: what they like and I don't care. But you know what,
- 3:55Speaker 3: I just want people to realize that the corruption is
- 3:57Speaker 3: out of control. And yeah, so I'm not to defend
- 4:00Speaker 3: myself because I can't be bothered because that's like whack
- 4:03Speaker 3: a mile. So if you keep defending yourself, you're just like, oh,
- 4:06Speaker 3: so yeah, whatever, I say what I like, just look
- 4:10Speaker 3: into what happens to the money, guys. And if we
- 4:13Speaker 3: do that, well, then the money will be spent more
- 4:16Speaker 3: widely because we're looking at what goes on. So yeah,
- 4:20Speaker 3: people can say what they like, Mike, and I don't care.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Okay, Now, a lot of comments I got on my
- 4:25Speaker 1: videos were you should join Pauline Hanson and one Nation.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You're big Pauline fan, are you? You're down with all
- 4:32Speaker 1: of that.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Look, I'm not gonna join One Nation. So I'm actually
- 4:41Speaker 3: in Victoria. I'm back in Liberals And that's what that's
- 4:45Speaker 3: on the record, actually on logan And I was down
- 4:47Speaker 3: at a bowls club in Geelong talking with the possible
- 4:51Speaker 3: next premiere of Victoria. And you know, I got more
- 4:54Speaker 3: attention on the red carpet at a bowls club in
- 4:57Speaker 3: Geelong than I would at the last.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So I'm not a fan of Pauline. Do you not
- 5:02Speaker 2: like her? I'm not.
- 5:04Speaker 4: I do not.
- 5:06Speaker 3: I'm not going to disparage Pauline. I mean, she said
- 5:09Speaker 3: some stuff over the years that has not sounded good,
- 5:13Speaker 3: but I know a lot of people who say that
- 5:15Speaker 3: she's a very nice person. So I'm not here to
- 5:18Speaker 3: disparage Pauline Hanson. So yeah, So I'm I'm trying to
- 5:22Speaker 3: be careful there, Mike. So yeah, So I'm yeah, people,
- 5:26Speaker 3: a lot of people are backing one Nation. We've got
- 5:28Speaker 3: to remember that, guys, And you've got to ask yourself why,
- 5:31Speaker 3: you know why they're backing one Nation. They're back in
- 5:33Speaker 3: One Nation because they're sick to death of what the
- 5:34Speaker 3: current system. So, and that's something that she's been tapping
- 5:38Speaker 3: into for a long time and she's got the more
- 5:40Speaker 3: support because of her sort of stance and she had
- 5:44Speaker 3: stayed consistent in many ways. So yeah, so that's all
- 5:47Speaker 3: I'll say about Pauline Hanson right now.
- 5:49Speaker 5: All right, off politics for a second, and we are
- 5:50Speaker 5: going to take some calls if you want to take
- 5:52Speaker 5: Hughsey on, or you have a strong opinion about something,
- 5:54Speaker 5: maybe you agree or disagree with Hughsey thirteen one oh
- 5:57Speaker 5: sixty five.
- 5:57Speaker 4: I just wanted to ask you about Melanie brace Well.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Now, we had her on the show the other day
- 6:02Speaker 5: and there was that online feud where you know, she
- 6:05Speaker 5: exposed you for peeing in a bottle backstage at a
- 6:08Speaker 5: comedy gig.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Now, when we spoke to her.
- 6:10Speaker 5: She was pretty chill about it and just said she
- 6:11Speaker 5: actually didn't think she was exposing anything and she thought
- 6:14Speaker 5: it was common knowledge, something that you had spoken about
- 6:17Speaker 5: publicly in the past as well. What's your kind of thoughts,
- 6:20Speaker 5: what's your side of the story with this whole mel
- 6:22Speaker 5: Bracewell feud.
- 6:26Speaker 3: We really don't want to have a feud with anyone,
- 6:28Speaker 3: and it looks so i'ld to stay one more time.
- 6:30Speaker 3: There was one time where there was a glass backstage.
- 6:34Speaker 3: There was no toilet to go to. I had to
- 6:36Speaker 3: go on stage in a minute, so I couldn't leave,
- 6:38Speaker 3: and I weed in a glass. I had no idea
- 6:40Speaker 3: whose glass it was. It looked like it was just
- 6:42Speaker 3: a glass. It's not something I do commonly. I wouldn't.
- 6:45Speaker 3: It's ridiculous to think that I would. And then I
- 6:48Speaker 3: found out afterwards that it was her glass, and what
- 6:50Speaker 3: would we rang her? It had a laugh with her
- 6:53Speaker 3: about it. Yeah, I had a laugh with her about it.
- 6:55Speaker 3: So it was like it was it was absolutely nothing.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Yeah, to be honest, and she was.
- 7:00Speaker 3: She was there, so that was ridiculous to make a
- 7:02Speaker 3: big thing of that. But again, I'm not here to
- 7:05Speaker 3: have a few with anyone. I want to stay present
- 7:09Speaker 3: and I want in love if you are coming at
- 7:12Speaker 3: me because it is and people are coming at me
- 7:14Speaker 3: because I'm having a crack of the government. So that's
- 7:16Speaker 3: that's what's going on left right and Santa with me.
- 7:19Speaker 3: So yeah, but I'm not here to few individuals. I
- 7:24Speaker 3: really want everyone to have a look at what I'm
- 7:26Speaker 3: going to do with the money. I know down boring
- 7:28Speaker 3: because we never ever look at it. It's our money
- 7:31Speaker 3: and they steal it. It's crazy, all right.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Well, do you want to take Shuesy on? He thinks
- 7:36Speaker 1: the government are stealing all our money. A lot of
- 7:38Speaker 1: people are calling in this morning.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I know you don't lot of people agreeing with you. Hughesy.
- 7:42Speaker 1: By the way, yeah, I know you don't want a feud,
- 7:44Speaker 1: but maybe you could feud with a few of our
- 7:45Speaker 1: listeners and educate.
- 7:47Speaker 4: We could call it in Europe yep. So we'll get
- 7:50Speaker 4: your calls on next fourteen.
- 7:53Speaker 2: You do it.
- 7:54Speaker 1: We got Shoesy live on air. You might have seen
- 7:57Speaker 1: all these socials are going off. He's angry up a
- 8:00Speaker 1: government and we want to know do you want to
- 8:02Speaker 1: agree or disagree with Hughsey right now?
- 8:05Speaker 5: If you want to take Hughesy on your calls on
- 8:07Speaker 5: thirteen one oh sixty five. Let's start with Joe in Melbourne.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Good morning, Joe, Joe, good morning.
- 8:13Speaker 7: How are you guys? Hello, hu'sy? How are you?
- 8:17Speaker 3: I'm really good Joe, how are you you have a
- 8:19Speaker 3: good morning. It's a bit it's sunny as Melbourne today, guys,
- 8:23Speaker 3: so unusual.
- 8:25Speaker 7: A bit later, yes, it is Hu'sy. My question is
- 8:27Speaker 7: to you, I'm glad you're going to go polit politics.
- 8:31Speaker 7: I was just wondering what makes you going for liberal
- 8:34Speaker 7: is going to make any difference. You're just talking about money,
- 8:37Speaker 7: So how is you going to liberal? Going to change fair?
- 8:41Speaker 2: Husey?
- 8:42Speaker 3: Yeah, look good, good question. Joe. In Victoria, as Joe
- 8:47Speaker 3: would know, Labor have been in for twelve years and
- 8:49Speaker 3: the corruption has been just out of control. So I
- 8:54Speaker 3: don't know anyone else that. The One Nation only just
- 8:57Speaker 3: announced their leader and I don't know who he is,
- 9:00Speaker 3: so I can't trust anyone else at this point, Joe.
- 9:03Speaker 3: So I've jumped on the Liberals. There's a young woman
- 9:06Speaker 3: who's leading the Liberals. She's in her mid thirties and
- 9:08Speaker 3: aim is Jess Wilson, and I've had a number of
- 9:12Speaker 3: conversations with her and I said, Jess, we just don't
- 9:15Speaker 3: want to corrupt government. Can you promise you're going to
- 9:17Speaker 3: be honest and not steal everyone's money? And she I
- 9:20Speaker 3: think she is going to be honest, Joe, So that's
- 9:23Speaker 3: why I'm going with her and her team seemed pretty good,
- 9:26Speaker 3: but you know, I want to keep an eye on
- 9:28Speaker 3: whoever's in government. I don't want to be in govern myself,
- 9:29Speaker 3: but I want to keep an eye on everyone who
- 9:31Speaker 3: is in government so that they don't do what labor
- 9:35Speaker 3: have done in Victoria for the last twelve years. So
- 9:38Speaker 3: that's why I'm going.
- 9:39Speaker 1: With It's not just a labor thing though, right Like
- 9:41Speaker 1: liberals have been in power many years in the country.
- 9:44Speaker 2: They can be just as bad, can't they.
- 9:45Speaker 1: You're not just some sort of liberal stooge, now, are you?
- 9:50Speaker 6: No?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Of course not, mate, because I was a labor voter
- 9:52Speaker 3: up until very recently, so I'm not.
- 9:55Speaker 6: No.
- 9:55Speaker 3: I think it's been taken to the next level by
- 9:57Speaker 3: the governments. I think the federal government and seriously having
- 10:01Speaker 3: Elbow hanging out with the former labor Premier Dan Andrews,
- 10:04Speaker 3: whose corruption is just off the charts, just having that
- 10:08Speaker 3: happen is just you know, that is bad for the country.
- 10:12Speaker 3: I'm serious about that. So yeah, so I am going
- 10:16Speaker 3: to go with liberals, but I'm not here to think
- 10:18Speaker 3: that they're perfect, and I'm not gonna just be a
- 10:21Speaker 3: apologist for them. Believe me, I'm not. So That's where
- 10:24Speaker 3: I'm at.
- 10:24Speaker 5: Shoe all right, let's get on another call here. We've
- 10:28Speaker 5: got Dean in Sydney Dean. What did you want to
- 10:30Speaker 5: say to Hughsey.
- 10:32Speaker 8: Hu'syhre's he could he not trust the government? Look at
- 10:36Speaker 8: all the great things they've done for us. I'll know nothing.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Oh so great.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Yeah, commodity, all.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Right mate, what he's doing, what he's saying is everywhere
- 10:52Speaker 3: out there, guys. Honestly, it's crazy how many people are
- 10:55Speaker 3: pissed off with what's happening in this country.
- 10:58Speaker 2: All right, let's go next one. See coffee. You're on
- 11:00Speaker 2: with shoesy, go for it.
- 11:02Speaker 9: Hu's the here's the here's I've met. I'm never going
- 11:08Speaker 9: to disagree with you if you're holding the government accountable. Babe,
- 11:11Speaker 9: you're on the mark with the neggative gearing. I am
- 11:14Speaker 9: sick to the back teeth of these I'm going to
- 11:18Speaker 9: be polite. I'm not going to use any bad language.
- 11:20Speaker 9: But these people who make sure that their bases are covered,
- 11:25Speaker 9: they're all grandfathered, so they're all good to go for
- 11:28Speaker 9: the rest of their lives. But bugger the little mom
- 11:32Speaker 9: and dad investors that want to try and build a
- 11:35Speaker 9: future for their kids and grandkids. No, no, no, you can't
- 11:38Speaker 9: do that. We've got all the wealth, then you can
- 11:40Speaker 9: bugger off, all.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Right, so you should talking the negative may.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Not just that though She's made a really good point there.
- 11:48Speaker 3: All the labor federal ministers sold all their houses before
- 11:52Speaker 3: they changed the rules. They knew, they knew, but we didn't.
- 11:56Speaker 3: It was an absolute disgrace. It was inside of trading
- 12:00Speaker 3: and they should be ashamed of themselves. And young people
- 12:04Speaker 3: now have no chance to build wealth through share investing
- 12:09Speaker 3: or crypto investing or anything because the government are going
- 12:12Speaker 3: to take all the profits in tax. Guys. It's a
- 12:14Speaker 3: disgrace and she is onto it and people are. They're
- 12:18Speaker 3: under it all around the Australia. That's why the polling
- 12:22Speaker 3: shows labor at the lowest levels they've ever been at. Guys.
- 12:26Speaker 3: People are under this and I appreciate the feedback I'm
- 12:29Speaker 3: getting here.
- 12:30Speaker 5: All right, one last call, let's speak to Shane on
- 12:33Speaker 5: the Central COEs T Shane.
- 12:35Speaker 8: Good morning, Hey Usy, Thanks mate for being so vocal
- 12:38Speaker 8: about things going on in the government. I guess my
- 12:42Speaker 8: big thing is I'm becoming aware of I'm fifty eight now,
- 12:44Speaker 8: so I'm getting to the age where I'm trying to
- 12:45Speaker 8: push for retirement and yeah, I'm getting sick and tired
- 12:49Speaker 8: of it too. I'm really interested to hear your views
- 12:51Speaker 8: on the taxing of the resourcing companies and the gas
- 12:55Speaker 8: companies that are drawing all of our resources out of
- 12:57Speaker 8: our country and making billions and dollars of profit which
- 13:00Speaker 8: could be going into supporting our social systems and giving
- 13:05Speaker 8: free education, pre dental, free health. How do you feel
- 13:08Speaker 8: about that?
- 13:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with you there, mate. Absolutely. The governments attack
- 13:14Speaker 3: the little person. They attack the Aussie citizen who's just
- 13:17Speaker 3: trying to make their way in a humble way through life,
- 13:20Speaker 3: and they do not go these multinational companies who take
- 13:25Speaker 3: huge profits out of the country. And it's not just
- 13:28Speaker 3: gas and the other resources, mate, what about all the
- 13:31Speaker 3: tech companies and all the buildings they take out of
- 13:35Speaker 3: Australia And we get bugger all back in tax because
- 13:39Speaker 3: our governments are not strong enough or smart enough to
- 13:43Speaker 3: work out how to make sure these massive companies leave
- 13:48Speaker 3: a portion of the money they earn in Australia. It's
- 13:52Speaker 3: bloody ridiculous.
- 13:53Speaker 2: All right, there we go, tax and more tax of
- 13:56Speaker 2: mining companies. Here's it. Before we get let you go.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Are you going to run for parliament then or you're
- 14:00Speaker 2: just gonna make noise?
- 14:02Speaker 3: I mean you can, but no, no, but what you
- 14:06Speaker 3: just what you just saw there, guys, is what I
- 14:08Speaker 3: get in the streets every single day. I go to
- 14:11Speaker 3: the supmarket and I get like ten people wanting to
- 14:14Speaker 3: hug me. And this is all ages, all ethnicities, all paygrades,
- 14:19Speaker 3: because everyone's sick of it. It's it's unbelievable how pissed
- 14:24Speaker 3: off Australia is. And you you just saw a little bit,
- 14:26Speaker 3: you just hurt a little bit of it. Then that's
- 14:28Speaker 3: everywhere everywhere. I know you don't want to turn into
- 14:30Speaker 3: a talk backstation. I get it, but that's what's going
- 14:33Speaker 3: on out there.
- 14:34Speaker 6: Guy.
- 14:34Speaker 2: There we go, Shusy joining me. You took him. Good
- 14:38Speaker 2: on you again, all right,
