- Powerball Climbs to 96 Million! This is The Lottery Rundown for Tuesday August 25th Powerball drew Monday night with 3, 16, 33, 38 and 68, plus Powerball 2 and a 2X multiplier. Nobody matched all six, so the top prize escaped again. Among the white balls, 33 stands out: it is the second-most-drawn over the past six years, with 79 appearances, but it returned after 49 drawings away. Thirty-three took a sabbatical long enough to forget the office password. Wednesday’s jackpot climbs to 96 million dollars, with a cash value of 41 million 200 thousand dollars. The new run is still young at five drawings and 12 days since the last jackpot win, so this is more fresh start than epic siege. Moving to Mega Millions, the last draw was Friday, August 21, with 1, 25, 34, 48 and 57, plus Mega Ball 24. Nobody matched all six. Mega Ball 24 strengthened its claim as the most-drawn Mega Ball of the past six years, now appearing 37 times. Were you surprised to see the leader turn up again? Tonight’s jackpot is 130 million dollars, with a cash value of 55 million 500 thousand dollars. That could buy a private castle with a moat reserved for rubber ducks. The jackpot has gone seven drawings and 24 days without a winner, a stretch that remains shorter than usual.
