A West Virginia man, Michael Wayne Adkins, 59, just received a 40-year sentence for each of two murder charges — served concurrently — after allegedly shooting and killing Richard Bishop and Brenda Dennis in April 2025. Adkins claimed the confrontation erupted when Bishop allegedly threatened him after Dennis borrowed his car and returned with Bishop.
