- 0:13Speaker 1: What's up?
- 0:14Speaker 1: Welcome back to the North Florida Sports Network.
- 0:17Speaker 1: It's Portal Combat.
- 0:19Speaker 1: It's the season.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We've been waiting for it, we've been ready for it.
- 0:23Speaker 1: It's time.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Yay, the new recruiting, the new major resource is going to be this.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't seem right because of everything that's happened, and if you're an FSU fan you should feel screwed because you were.
- 0:40Speaker 1: But it's Portal Combat season and it started.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Let's start right there with the Knowles.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Pat Payton.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Patrick Payton entered the transfer portal.
- 0:51Speaker 1: What can you tell me there?
- 0:55Speaker 2: Go get paid kid.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah, right, this is going to.
- 0:59Speaker 1: This is going to happen throughout the country.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yeah, right, yeah, just happened to Clemson Andrew McCuba is going to Texas.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Their best defensive back is going back home to Texas.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Remember, there's 1.2 million for his last season, if you're to believe Twitter, which is probably not a great idea, but the rumor is about a million is what Payton was asking for.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Well, I wrote to you.
- 1:24Speaker 1: It was going to cost you two.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Who do?
- 1:26Speaker 2: you think that's for?
- 1:26Speaker 2: That's what he was talking about.
- 1:28Speaker 2: That's for a quarter, oh yeah.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:32Speaker 1: So yeah, he's looking to get paid.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean, you know that that may or may not be more than than what Jared verse was being, what what his?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Deal was worth, and I mean I know disrespect to Payton I think he had 11 batted balls this year.
- 1:46Speaker 2: That's incredible.
- 1:47Speaker 2: He was really good down the stretch.
- 1:49Speaker 2: The last three he was part of the defense that stepped up.
- 1:52Speaker 2: You know the players that had to step up.
- 1:54Speaker 2: But, dude, you're not going to get more than Jared verse, right?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Not here.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Somebody will pay him and that's, that's fine.
- 2:02Speaker 2: That's the new age.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, Um, you know you just got to look at it next year and not view him as like.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Well, you know, he's the only guy coming back that did anything on this.
- 2:12Speaker 2: This team doesn't mean he's gonna.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Oh man, there's that this team's done.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it's team done, they ruined it.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't look at the roster, as in the you know it's going to be completely different next year.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah, different QB, different.
- 2:29Speaker 1: you know the orange bowl, where the press conference got canceled.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Yeah, um, she's not, not a shocker there.
- 2:39Speaker 2: No, no, the cut got canceled.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I don't think either program is really enthusiastic about this game.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Um, I'm pretty sure that that, uh, there's really not any love loss between the two staffs.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I don't think they particularly like each other all the way to head coach down, you know.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So I think that you know the rumors that are going around about a lot of the players and stuff just opting out, choosing not to really even participate.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I think there's some some substance to those something to monitor.
- 3:15Speaker 1: What happens when you screw over a team.
- 3:18Speaker 1: You know, if anybody was to opt out, it should be this team.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Right.
- 3:22Speaker 2: It's something that's never been done before.
- 3:23Speaker 1: They didn't opt out last year, when they were going for 10 wins and they had something to play for.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, they didn't.
- 3:29Speaker 1: They had players on that team that came back for this year and did exactly what they had to do, Right?
- 3:34Speaker 1: That's what uh what the I wouldn't.
- 3:37Speaker 1: What's the message?
- 3:38Speaker 2: there.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I mean it's that's.
- 3:39Speaker 2: That's the problem with it and that's it's what.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Like I said you know earlier on it, they don't owe the fan base or the school or anybody.
- 3:48Speaker 2: They don't owe anybody anything.
- 3:49Speaker 2: They did everything they were supposed to do, everything that was laid out in front of them, and then they had a door closed in their face.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It's not like they're opting out of the playoff.
- 3:57Speaker 2: No, they're not opting out.
- 3:59Speaker 2: They're just saying, okay, we're told that nobody gives a shit, so we're going to go do something else now.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Yeah, what are we?
- 4:06Speaker 2: supposed to do?
- 4:06Speaker 2: You're supposed to still care, georgia doesn't want to be there either.
- 4:09Speaker 1: No, they don't.
- 4:09Speaker 1: The story is going to be FSU, because they got screwed over.
- 4:13Speaker 2: They went undefeated.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Georgia lost the last game, which, whatever We've already we've already touched on that a thousand times, but it's you know.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 4:37Speaker 2: So Peyton's gone.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah, what else?
- 4:39Speaker 2: There'll be some more.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You know, there's other guys that have already jumped in.
- 4:42Speaker 2: You know, bless Harris just jumped in there.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Who else?
- 4:47Speaker 2: Big AO to Fossy.
- 4:49Speaker 2: He apparently got passed up on the depth chart mid-season, so he's going to.
- 4:52Speaker 2: He's going to take off Quaichon Sap, another reserve Offens of Lyman.
- 4:57Speaker 2: He's jumped in Biscuit, biscuits in there.
- 5:02Speaker 2: You know, basically seasons over.
- 5:04Speaker 2: So this is when kids come and try to get, you know, bigger deals, just get a.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You know, just get a deal in general.
- 5:12Speaker 2: So yeah, we'll see.
- 5:14Speaker 2: We'll keep monitoring the guys that are in there.
- 5:16Speaker 2: You know, aj Duffy jumped in really early.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Well, we knew that was going to happen.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 1: What you got, so Florida State's in the market.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Oh, definitely, definitely in the market.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Definitely in the market.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I think you'll see some more guys from the defensive line probably jump in.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised to see Josh Farmer either enter the transfer portal or possibly you know jump into the NFL draft.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I don't know, it will see with him.
- 5:48Speaker 2: You know Darrell Jackson.
- 5:50Speaker 2: His options are a lot more limited there.
- 5:52Speaker 2: He really can't transfer and not have to sit out another season.
- 5:57Speaker 2: You know, I think you know, there was a little bit of talk of him trying to go to the draft just based on practice film.
- 6:03Speaker 2: But that's a huge risk there.
- 6:05Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 6:07Speaker 2: But yeah, florida State is in the market.
- 6:09Speaker 2: The biggest thing there in the market for is a quarterback.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Right, I know they love Tate as a person, you know, as a teammate, and he does everything they ask of him.
- 6:21Speaker 2: But they're clearly gonna try to upgrade that spot next year and it'll be with a one year rental kind of thing.
- 6:32Speaker 2: You know, same thing they did with milk the stilt man, but DJ Yuka with Ui Ungolete.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I'm not gonna try it.
- 6:43Speaker 2: DJ Ui out there at Oregon State and Cam Ward.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Those are the two that they seem to be focusing on.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I don't believe that they're gonna be able to afford Cam Ward Right.
- 6:54Speaker 2: That he's gonna be the top earner this year.
- 6:57Speaker 2: It seems Really.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, even with Riley Leonard out there.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, riley Leonard seems like he's locked in on Notre Dame, notre Dame.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I think Auburn May have an outside chance in him.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 7:11Speaker 2: But you know, ohio State is in the market for a quarterback they're gonna spend big Saw that their quarterback at the yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Borlough Conference.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what it is.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I mean it's all across the board.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I mean it's.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You're gonna see teams throwing big money and you're gonna see players at schools that won a lot of games.
- 7:45Speaker 1: That could be really good next year.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But hey, you gotta capitalize, you know.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Gotta capitalize on what you can get.
- 7:53Speaker 1: You're not gonna have a chance, you know.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Yeah, grass isn't always greener.
- 7:58Speaker 1: No, but it's gonna happen throughout the land.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It's not gonna be.
- 8:02Speaker 1: It's more of a business now that happens.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Well, yeah, as long as there's a free market and you can just do whatever you want.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Eventually, you know the smart thing to do to make these kids employees.
- 8:14Speaker 2: The players are employees.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I mean, that's how they're basically going about it.
- 8:17Speaker 2: They're earning like employees.
- 8:19Speaker 2: And then you sign them to contracts with non-compete clause in them.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Like, listen man.
- 8:23Speaker 2: You sign here like we're not gonna let you just bounce after a year.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Right, keep renegotiating and everything like that.
- 8:30Speaker 2: But it's so far down the road and it's not.
- 8:32Speaker 2: What if we go undefeated, coach?
- 8:33Speaker 2: Yeah, if we go undefeated, what?
- 8:36Speaker 2: If we go undefeated, we'll go to the playoff.
- 8:38Speaker 1: We'll probably be seated tense.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Thanks, Pierre.
- 8:41Speaker 2: We'll get that tense seed.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a joke.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Yeah, man, the whole thing's a joke.
- 8:46Speaker 1: It really is.
- 8:48Speaker 1: But you love the sport, you love it.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Yeah, do that football.
- 8:51Speaker 2: You know that.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I used to love college football more than the NFL because you know it was just kids playing God.
- 9:02Speaker 2: They really just ruined it.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Well, it's so corporate, but now it's just worse to ruin it.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Ruined it.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Yeah, ruined it.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Supposed to have that chance Committee picking a playoff Right.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Anyway, back to the transfer portal.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I think there's a good chance that DJ Uwe ends up at Florida State MUSIC.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I like it.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I like it a lot.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Actually, you could do worse.
- 9:41Speaker 1: No, I like it a lot.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I like it a lot for this, for this next season.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I like it a lot.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yeah, they're also looking at.
- 9:47Speaker 2: You can the rumor about um rocket Sanders from Arkansas.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Okay, he's a wriggly.
- 9:52Speaker 2: I think he's originally from Rockledge, Florida.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Right, you need a guy for one year.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yeah you need a guy that one year, who has experienced preferably, and who has a big body man.
- 10:03Speaker 1: We saw what DJ we could do Against Florida State played probably best game ever.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's probably his best game at Clemson.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Yeah, in terms of most efficient and right competition yeah.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I Don't hate it either.
- 10:19Speaker 2: It's, it's not a talented guy.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Seemingly it won't scare off Luke.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Right, because it's only one year.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and it'll allow Brock Lynn more time to right.
- 10:28Speaker 1: You still can.
- 10:29Speaker 2: You still can have your Cake and maybe eat it too, hey you know you give tape the option, man, it's like there's no guarantee that that You're not gonna get another chance right because we're bringing this kid in we're gonna compete, yeah, or he can bounce, and he may.
- 10:44Speaker 2: You know he's got one year left.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I mean he may not want to spend it competing for a starting job, you know.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Go somewhere else and right, that's just the name of the game, man.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the name of the game now.
- 10:55Speaker 2: But they're very deaf.
- 10:56Speaker 2: They're most definitely they're bringing in a quarterback, a Couple of guys along the front line you know there's a transfer out of Vanderbilt, nate Clifton, defensive, and he's a bigger guy, rj open out of Duke, another one of those bigger defensive ends.
- 11:11Speaker 2: It, you know it's, they're gonna be shopping for, for edge players, probably a couple of guys on the interior offensive line.
- 11:20Speaker 2: And you'll see what happened.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Man, you, the guy like Keon Coleman hits the transfer market or you know, a high-impact office, the player, you, you'll probably see him take a Shot.
- 11:30Speaker 2: It's just kind of in their style.
- 11:31Speaker 2: So you know we'll see Brad Johnson's second son, jake Johnson.
- 11:37Speaker 2: The tight end out of Texas A&M has also hit the transfer portal.
- 11:41Speaker 2: You would assume he'd probably just follow his older brother to North Carolina, but they're pretty stacked.
- 11:59Speaker 1: What do you think like what?
- 12:01Speaker 1: It's obviously gonna be quarterback.
- 12:03Speaker 1: It's gonna be the biggest Highly competed player.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Is the quarterback from Washington State.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Is that what you're telling me?
- 12:11Speaker 2: Yeah, he's, he's gonna be the hot guy right now, right, the one that everybody's gonna.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I mean teams that are looking for quarterbacks, I mean you got to think Ohio State's in that market for sure.
- 12:20Speaker 1: If their guy just is now right, I would I think they'd probably.
- 12:24Speaker 2: You could probably consider them the front runner to land him.
- 12:27Speaker 2: But he's gonna be expensive.
- 12:29Speaker 2: You know when you talk about the premier position, and he's not a dummy right, this is.
- 12:36Speaker 2: And it you know there's been.
- 12:37Speaker 2: It's.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you never know, man I.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I think the safe bet is that you probably got a shot at DJ.
- 12:47Speaker 2: After that it gets really iffy on Kids that are in the portal.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I mean there's no other Right now at least there's not really anybody else that's shown.
- 12:59Speaker 2: They can be a high and starter Other than those two.
- 13:03Speaker 2: So yeah, what about?
- 13:05Speaker 1: there's the no?
- 13:07Speaker 1: Ucla had a younger kid that entered.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Dante Moore.
- 13:10Speaker 2: He was a five-star last year.
- 13:11Speaker 2: He's still more at the developmental phase.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Right, you know he's got an NFL caliber arm but made just A ton of mistakes, which you expect is a true freshman.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Yeah and again.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I mean, you bring somebody like that and you're probably Running off one of your two younger QB's, if not both.
- 13:32Speaker 2: You know somebody with so much left with Luke.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you know, I think they'd much rather just try to find that high-end guy for at least a year right and bridge the gap.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Now, if they can't, I Don't know man, maybe they just take a flyer on somebody that's an upperclassman and just try to have competition.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I'm not sure what they do there, but they're definitely being aggressive with it.
- 14:00Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 14:02Speaker 2: You should know something here, probably within the next week so this game, what it?
- 14:10Speaker 1: what would happen if everyone just said, hey, I don't want to play?
- 14:13Speaker 1: You know what's the limit.
- 14:14Speaker 1: You have to have what?
- 14:15Speaker 1: 40.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I think it's like you have to have a shed players, yeah yeah Position.
- 14:20Speaker 2: So you got to have at least too deep at every, every spot, including.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Stuff.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe, maybe even more than that.
- 14:26Speaker 1: It might be in the 50s 15.
- 14:28Speaker 1: So if they have enough players that are like hey, I'm not playing, what do we get?
- 14:32Speaker 1: What do you do?
- 14:35Speaker 2: I mean you can't play.
- 14:36Speaker 2: You know you could have the whole team just decide that they're going to opt out for one reason or the other.
- 14:44Speaker 1: There, was any team that was going to do it again.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Yeah, the issue.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I mean, man, it would have to be, even if you like, even if that kind of solid, they didn't want to do it right.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And the players just said hey, I'm sorry, I mean that, just want to play.
- 14:59Speaker 2: There's kids that were looking forward to the bowl game is like man, you know it sucks and everything, but now I'm going to get to play.
- 15:04Speaker 2: You know we're going to go to the Orange Bowl.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I'm going to get some, some reps.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Take it out on the field, Keep playing football.
- 15:12Speaker 1: But right there's.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I mean, that's what I'm saying.
- 15:14Speaker 1: It's just practice for next year.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Right, because there's, the players that weren't going to play in the playoff are going to, are excited, of course.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Why wouldn't you be?
- 15:24Speaker 1: Yeah, why wouldn't?
- 15:25Speaker 2: you be.
- 15:26Speaker 2: That's exactly what it is the reserves guys that are going to get a shot to.
- 15:29Speaker 1: But if you have enough players that are just like I'm not playing in this game for good reason.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Yeah, if you take all of the point of having it all of the upperclassmen, georgia doesn't want to be there either.
- 15:40Speaker 1: And then they they're just going to be like, yeah, you guys, just you guys, do it first, please.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys back out first.
- 15:48Speaker 1: But there's no way Kirby wants to be at that game.
- 15:50Speaker 1: None of the neither program wants to be there.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Georgia, from the way they talk about it, they should be in there.
- 15:57Speaker 1: They should be in there too.
- 15:58Speaker 1: If Alabama and Texas are in, if Texas is in with one loss, don't tell me Texas is better than Georgia.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Right, I think you know you make the argument because Alabama beat Georgia Michigan.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I think I'm not convinced that they would be an underdog to Georgia, but I think those are probably the only two teams in the country.
- 16:17Speaker 2: No, that's why you it counts there's no way that Washington would not be an underdog to Georgia.
- 16:24Speaker 2: There's no way that Texas wouldn't be an underdog to Georgia.
- 16:27Speaker 2: So that's half your field, right?
- 16:29Speaker 1: there.
- 16:29Speaker 1: So there they got.
- 16:31Speaker 1: They got a field picked off too.
- 16:33Speaker 2: So the whole, the whole at Auburn, right, because I like screwed everything.
- 16:39Speaker 1: If that you know, say Auburn wins that game.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Georgia probably gets in.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not having this conversation.
- 16:45Speaker 1: No, I'm just saying Florida State doesn't Well Florida.
- 16:47Speaker 2: State gets in.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Florida State gets in.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Florida State gets in.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Listen, Texas got in because.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And what if?
- 16:51Speaker 1: what if the same thing happened, though?
- 16:53Speaker 1: And what if the same thing happened in?
- 16:55Speaker 1: Alabama beat Georgia.
- 16:59Speaker 2: What if they were 10 and two, but beat Georgia?
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yeah, they lost to Auburn, but then they came and beat Georgia and won the SEC.
- 17:05Speaker 2: They got two laws done.
- 17:06Speaker 2: I know.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I'm just saying, you say Georgia, then goes over Florida State.
- 17:09Speaker 2: No.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I'm telling you because then Texas wouldn't get in.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, Texas wouldn't get in, and then Georgia would go right.
- 17:15Speaker 1: The only reason Texas got in?
- 17:16Speaker 1: Because they beat Alabama and they counted Alabama and then they counted the early season went the more, and the more time that goes by, the more angry and the more unjustified it seems.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Well, you just and you can say what you want.
- 17:30Speaker 1: They did it based on best, but the whole.
- 17:34Speaker 1: It's a sham just having that in the bylaws in the first place.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Follow the money yeah follow the money.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Who's who?
- 17:40Speaker 2: Who do you have screaming and hollering the most?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah, if Alabama gets the best teams, the best teams of the agenda, like what school is going to be screaming and hollering the most if Alabama gets in the playoff and they don't?
- 17:52Speaker 2: Texas?
- 17:53Speaker 2: What's one of the richest, oldest universities, oldest programs in the history of the fucking game?
- 17:59Speaker 2: Texas, Follow the money, that's all it is.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Nothing about it is legitimate anymore.
- 18:07Speaker 2: It's money based.
- 18:08Speaker 2: It's it's a business.
- 18:10Speaker 2: It's a business.
- 18:11Speaker 2: You know.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Back room collusion is how it all went down.
- 18:14Speaker 2: So you know you just buy the best players you can find the best excuse to do this and justify it.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And we'll have, and we'll justify it.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I really, if every single player on the team go back on the end.
- 18:28Speaker 2: you know what I'm not playing.
- 18:29Speaker 2: I would not blame them what they say.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Okay, well, you, you're not the same team that won at Clemson because you didn't have Jordan Travis.
- 18:38Speaker 1: You're not the same team that beat LSU because you didn't have Jordan Travis.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Okay, I mean that that doesn't matter because Alabama wasn't the same team, right?
- 18:50Speaker 1: They didn't have been rowing, they beat USF.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't get.
- 18:55Speaker 2: So there is no logic to it.
- 18:58Speaker 2: You know we did, we played three.
- 18:59Speaker 2: We played three games without Jordan Travis and we won all three of them.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I get what they're saying, I understand it too, but like that's what I'm saying, the whole thing is a sham because of the way it's written.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I don't know what they're saying in there, but, like to what we find the best, there should be an automatic clause.
- 19:19Speaker 1: And I know they're going to say, well, blame the commissioner of the ACC.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Then I mean, like if you go, if you didn't lose you, you're automatically All I know man is.
- 19:29Speaker 1: as a 49er fan, I'm glad the only way that that wouldn't happen unless you had all five power, five teams going on feet.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Glad we got the number one seed in the NFC locked up by beating Philadelphia.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Oh, what At Philly Is that?
- 19:43Speaker 1: locked up.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I mean, you know we could still lose a few more games.
- 19:47Speaker 2: We got that best win, bro.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we got a high seed, at least number two.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's right.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Doesn't work like that.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Doesn't work like that, that's right, it should.
- 19:55Speaker 1: One loss and it should be remembered as a as a lost.
- 20:00Speaker 1: That's why I don't really want them to play.
- 20:03Speaker 2: No, there's no reason to play the game, don't give it, don't give the judge, don't let them.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Oh, so yeah, we can.
- 20:08Speaker 1: The only thing that they want that game for us to be like.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Look, we were right.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Look, well, that, yeah, that don't play and money.
- 20:17Speaker 1: But yeah, money you know to continue to.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Oh, they need to.
- 20:20Speaker 2: I mean it's an orange ball.
- 20:21Speaker 1: You do what we say and we.
- 20:23Speaker 1: You can't be mad at her if they don't want to go.
- 20:25Speaker 1: No.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I wouldn't be.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I don't expect them to want to go.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I don't, I wouldn't go, and if they didn't want to go, I'm not mad at all.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Move on Like listen, if they don't want to go, I mean they go down there and they you know, if the coaches want to go, and they're ready and the school's ready to go, but the players come together and they're like man, we don't want to do it, we don't want to do it, we don't want to do it, we're not going to go down there.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Then what do?
- 20:49Speaker 2: you do, it's a amen.
- 20:50Speaker 2: We're not going to make these kids play in this game.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Right, you're going to cost, can you oh?
- 20:56Speaker 1: well, what are we doing?
- 20:58Speaker 1: I mean we brisk it all, we did it and they gave us what we have.
- 21:01Speaker 1: We're going to, just we're going to go out on top with the lead, the championship that we got at earned Right.
- 21:06Speaker 1: We're not going to, we're not going to take the field again without a chance to win a national championship.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and you kind of you know, I mean I would, I would understand that.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you couldn't argue that.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I mean you could say disgrace the game.
- 21:20Speaker 1: But they disgrace the game.
- 21:22Speaker 1: When they voted a man, what game Exactly?
- 21:24Speaker 2: The game guy already got disgraced when they did an opportunity, the fifth when it was got, when I decided in a boardroom by 12, slap D's.
- 21:32Speaker 2: How dare we disrespect the sanctity of the fifth place game Right, wow, who cares?
- 21:40Speaker 2: The orange bowl will live on.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Well, the players are going to be there, yeah.
- 21:45Speaker 2: What I think will end up happening is is, you know, everybody who's not going to be at FSU next year will opt out.
- 21:52Speaker 2: We'll see how significant of number that is man, upper class men, guys going to the NFL, dudes thinking about transferring They'll all choose to.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Just you know, and I'm not going to not going to play.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Well, that was going to happen, that happens, that's been happening.
- 22:08Speaker 2: And sometimes you get guys that are going to transfer, that you know, guys that are going to go to the NFL that still might want to put another game on tape, Right, you know?
- 22:16Speaker 1: I mean there's nothing saying that I really think that the team morale and what you have to play for matters, because you saw last year that that bowl game, the cheese at bowl game, meant something.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and there's no way that team morale is not in an all time low.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Right, and you just took it so like what's there to play for?
- 22:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 1: You know, like you took the heart out of the game.
- 22:37Speaker 1: You took the passion and the drive and what the what this team was fighting for.
- 22:41Speaker 1: You took that away from them and if they can't find that to play, it's.
- 22:46Speaker 1: That's a disrespect to the game and it would be it'd be a disrespect.
- 22:49Speaker 2: It'd be a disrespect to the orange bowl.
- 22:51Speaker 1: No, so you might as well let them know Like listen, we can't, we can't do it, screw the orange ball.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:56Speaker 2: It would be disrespecting themselves and their legacies at Florida State to put on the uniform again and go down there and dance and be the puppets for this network.
- 23:07Speaker 2: That, yeah, just screwed them out of what they earned.
- 23:10Speaker 2: So you know, don't do it.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Every single kid that's thinking about the NFL, go get ready for your career, right?
- 23:16Speaker 2: Any kid that wants a new home and a new trend, to go focus on that.
- 23:20Speaker 2: You know, like, don't worry about this stupid orange bowl.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Great, I mean, for a team that would have lost and still gets to go to a new year six bowl.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's a great honor.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Well, do we have any other news in the transfer portal on any other fronts to any other teams?
- 23:37Speaker 1: We got TVD was in there.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Yeah, knew that, TVD, you know they're back for Florida.
- 23:43Speaker 2: They're looking for a quarterback.
- 23:45Speaker 2: The ETN hasn't officially entered the portal.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I just wanted to play it again.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so I mean, we'll see.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Man, I expect more from Florida State.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah, there's going to be across the board, there's going to be guys.
- 24:09Speaker 2: That it's going to.
- 24:10Speaker 1: What's Dabo doing?
- 24:11Speaker 2: He's losing guys.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Yeah, they're saying they're their best defensive.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Back One of them.
- 24:18Speaker 2: You'll see, man, we'll see.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You're not going to see anybody from the four teams in the playoff though.
- 24:26Speaker 2: No, well, they're still.
- 24:27Speaker 1: They're not going to.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, there's the point.
- 24:29Speaker 2: This was company Look, look this, this defect the attrition was coming over after the playoff and no matter what right, right.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Of course Patrick Payton didn't go and start asking for a million dollars because we got denied.
- 24:42Speaker 1: No, I understand that.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I understand that, just, and that's why.
- 24:45Speaker 1: That's why I'm saying screwed Like you can't be mad if they decide not to play in the game Like anybody.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah, if anybody deserves it to not play in it.
- 24:54Speaker 2: That's the thing is like when you're a program like that, like same things happen in.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Georgia.
- 24:58Speaker 1: One thing if they lost yeah.
- 24:59Speaker 2: The same thing happening Attrition, figuring out what they're going to do with recruiting, you know, in the transfer portal.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yeah, they still lost the last game, though, so I don't want to really know.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I know they had a tough game I'm talking about their focus and their enthusiasm being on this game was just like dude, they don't.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Well, still, they had an opportunity.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Yeah, they did.
- 25:18Speaker 1: They had an opportunity.
- 25:19Speaker 2: They lost and that's why they're not.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Right, they're very quiet about it.
- 25:23Speaker 2: They know that they are probably one of the four best teams but they're not going to bitch about it right now because, after what just went down right Right.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Like hey, man, at least we didn't get screwed like FSU, right, right, yeah, it sucks, yeah, we really should be playing that, but God damn, we could have gone under like now?
- 25:40Speaker 2: No, they would have never done that they wouldn't have done it, but it's just, it's just wrong.
- 25:44Speaker 1: It's wrong.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I don't think anybody, if you tell FSU fan, it's never, they're never going to get over it.
- 25:50Speaker 1: So you might as well just not bring it up.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Yeah, unless you're going to say you guys got screwed.
- 25:56Speaker 1: you know you size the size of the person up there.
- 25:58Speaker 2: You're talking to you know, if they're an old fan and you want to talk to them about it, make sure you can probably take them in a fight.
- 26:03Speaker 2: But because that's yeah, it's going to be a sore spot for ever.
- 26:09Speaker 1: We had to go forever you know, what's not a sore spot is that FSU lady soccer national championship team.
- 26:16Speaker 1: That shit was unbelievable.
- 26:18Speaker 1: We're talking about the premier program in America Dynasty.
- 26:23Speaker 1: It's a dynasty right here in town.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I will say hats off to all of the seniors on that team that stayed during the coaching turnover and all the ones that came back, because they had nine jumping the transfer quarter when Krikorian left and seven of them came back.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Two of them went pro into the seven that came back.
- 26:43Speaker 2: That's as big a part as any of that title.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that they gave up a goal man?
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I gave up one.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Stanford is the highest scoring team in America.
- 26:54Speaker 1: What a dominant performance by this team.
- 26:57Speaker 2: They're a dominant team.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I do not follow soccer religiously, is this the best team in four state history?
- 27:03Speaker 2: Like soccer, twitter was referencing that this team would be like upper to mid pack in a professional so this is an all time.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Yeah, all time.
- 27:12Speaker 2: The way they dominated the performance that they put out there all time.
- 27:16Speaker 1: That's awesome man.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Yeah, they deserve it.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you right now, jordan Dudley, the freshman, absolute stud, wow, like just you're going to see her rewrite stuff here at Florida State in her career.
- 27:28Speaker 2: So yeah, hats off to him, man.
- 27:31Speaker 2: The lady sports, the only pure sports lesson.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Collegiate athletics.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Lady Null's got it going on the hardwood too.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah man congratulations for the national champions man.
- 27:42Speaker 1: That's incredible.
- 27:46Speaker 2: That's to be.
- 27:46Speaker 2: That's four national titles, three in six years.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, right, yeah, that's right.
- 27:53Speaker 2: That's a dynasty man, it sure.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Well, you know, this football season is not to be forgotten.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Hey, we still got the NFL man Playoffs coming up, real playoffs actual playoffs.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Right.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Now, there's no.
- 28:12Speaker 1: No, my phone just came on asking me there's no an answer for it.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Siri, yeah, there's no answer.
- 28:16Speaker 1: There's no answer for what happened.
- 28:18Speaker 1: You know they don't have an answer for it.
- 28:21Speaker 2: No one does, they can't even hey listen.
- 28:22Speaker 2: The more you got it, you got to take three hours to explain it.
- 28:25Speaker 1: You know, it's just.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I keep hearing excuses.
- 28:29Speaker 2: You know, you don't have to explain what's right.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Quick, to the point.
- 28:34Speaker 1: It would have been so easier to say Texas or Oklahoma.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I mean Texas or Alabama, but whatever, We'll probably be talking about it next time and we're going to do it right here on the North Florida.
- 28:45Speaker 1: North Florida sports network.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Got him flustered, man.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Yeah, See you.
- 28:52Speaker 2: We had to go, our ride was here, we got a shuttle to fire.
