- 0:41Speaker 2: the think?
- 0:44Speaker 3: I think?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Okay, I think. You can't stop you think, can't stop
- 0:47Speaker 2: to think? I can't stop two figer, can't stop the fuck?
- 0:52Speaker 2: I can't remember whatever. It doesn't matter why I was
- 0:56Speaker 2: going somewhere with that too. Oh that's what it was
- 0:58Speaker 2: too in the thinking. Yes, please, welcome from the Think Show,
- 1:07Speaker 2: John Fink and g Wells. I am so sorry. I
- 1:15Speaker 2: keep trying to come up with some kind of punny
- 1:18Speaker 2: name with your name, mister Fink.
- 1:20Speaker 4: But well, you know, the funny thing is you have
- 1:23Speaker 4: a resource that has someone that's lived with that last name.
- 1:28Speaker 4: This could be drawn experience if you're ever curious.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I hear how high and understand what it meant?
- 1:40Speaker 4: Fail, I told you I prepared as best I could could.
- 1:44Speaker 2: It could be my could be my my brain not braining.
- 1:49Speaker 1: They get in the way.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Sometimes you get a headache, so my brain is not braining,
- 1:53Speaker 2: it's painting instead. But I suppose I could ask for
- 1:58Speaker 2: any Fink punds you haven't rread you heard, although I
- 2:01Speaker 2: heard them all at this point.
- 2:03Speaker 4: It's true. Well, I think one of my favorites is
- 2:10Speaker 4: it really? It really thinks in here, It really thinks
- 2:15Speaker 4: in here. I like that a lot. Well, we got
- 2:19Speaker 4: also its great options. I'm sure we'll pick one of
- 2:20Speaker 4: them to be the episode. We're gonna have some fun.
- 2:24Speaker 2: We didn't figure out how we wanted to do teams,
- 2:26Speaker 2: so I guess we'll figure it out live. Oh shoot,
- 2:29Speaker 2: do you guys want to be split up? Do you
- 2:30Speaker 2: want to stay together? What do you think?
- 2:31Speaker 4: Oh shoot? What did we do last time? Do you
- 2:35Speaker 4: remember Geene Wolves?
- 2:38Speaker 5: I think we were together, so we should probably split up.
- 2:42Speaker 4: You want to split up this time?
- 2:44Speaker 1: Split up? Oh my god?
- 2:45Speaker 4: All right, okay, all right, key party. Three keys in
- 2:51Speaker 4: the ball, let's do it.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Three keys in the ball and two in the think.
- 2:57Speaker 4: All right, talk, but there's three keys in my bull.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Ladies choice. Do you know who would you prefer to
- 3:06Speaker 2: pair up with? Stevie or let's see, not peared up
- 3:10Speaker 2: with one of them yet?
- 3:11Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 3:14Speaker 4: I'm trying to remember.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Do you guys remember? I think last time with A
- 3:21Speaker 5: So I'll do Stevie.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Alright, alright, you me, buddy, if you'll have me.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to name our team the Giraft Stoppers.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yes, why not? Okay, Okay, gonna write this down.
- 3:38Speaker 4: What's our what's our team name? Going to be done?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Team names on this show before, but I'm down, I'm
- 3:45Speaker 2: done for it.
- 3:45Speaker 4: That's okay.
- 3:47Speaker 2: What do you do?
- 3:49Speaker 6: You have anything queued up like you think would be thematic?
- 3:54Speaker 4: How about splatter platter splatter? Okay, the first thing that
- 4:00Speaker 4: came to my mind a punk.
- 4:04Speaker 7: Because he was talking about the thing earlier there we go.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Crazy, So it just looks like a pile of sticks,
- 4:14Speaker 4: but it's actually.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yeah, what does that say?
- 4:20Speaker 2: And Stevie and splider platter which does not John?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yeah, fair enough.
- 4:30Speaker 2: So I'm gonna do an introductory question. I always like
- 4:32Speaker 2: to do introductory questions on the show. True, So I
- 4:36Speaker 2: guess my introductory question this time is, uh, is there
- 4:40Speaker 2: a Is there a series or a franchise that you
- 4:44Speaker 2: ignored for a long time and you finally checked that
- 4:48Speaker 2: out only to find out it was just is there
- 4:52Speaker 2: a series of TV show, a book, series of movie, anything,
- 4:57Speaker 2: anything that's been on your radar for a while, but
- 5:00Speaker 2: when you finally checked it out, it was just ma
- 5:04Speaker 2: I'm gonna start with these boys because what it doesn't
- 5:08Speaker 2: really matter. I ambushed all of you with this. Nobody
- 5:10Speaker 2: knew this question, and so I'm gonna go with Ougi
- 5:14Speaker 2: first because that's gonna get pan out the best exactly.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Oggy never gives a straight answer unless he can't help it. Yeah,
- 5:25Speaker 2: it's animal facts. Then you can go that's while.
- 5:28Speaker 6: That's true, I can go buck, Wow, that's anal Can you.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Think of something that you ignored for a long time
- 5:33Speaker 2: and when you finally checked it out, you were like, nah,
- 5:37Speaker 2: well I.
- 5:37Speaker 7: Don't know, and let me see if I could figure
- 5:39Speaker 7: something out. I think actually, yeah, I watched the Halo series.
- 5:46Speaker 4: That they did.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Ties.
- 5:48Speaker 7: Yeah, I avoided it for the longest time because I
- 5:51Speaker 7: heard things and then I've seen like ship on the internet.
- 5:55Speaker 6: Because that would think it's spoiled. Of course, I just
- 5:57Speaker 6: kind of avoided it. I did get around to just
- 5:59Speaker 6: kind of like a free.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Time just happened to be there and available, so just
- 6:03Speaker 1: like you.
- 6:03Speaker 7: Know, I'll just try to watch a bit of it,
- 6:05Speaker 7: and yeah, it's it's because Halo was kind of those
- 6:10Speaker 7: things that like for Stevie, he grew up with like
- 6:14Speaker 7: games like Call of Duty, and stuff like that.
- 6:16Speaker 1: He and he enjoyed that stuff.
- 6:17Speaker 7: In morel combat and Doom, especially where like like me
- 6:21Speaker 7: and my friends we grew.
- 6:22Speaker 6: Up with Halo, Like we played Halo.
- 6:24Speaker 8: A lot, so it's like it didn't hit the same
- 6:28Speaker 8: at all, Like there was just no real connection there,
- 6:31Speaker 8: and it did just seem kind of half assed at times, like.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Retelling of a story that they didn't need to retell.
- 6:38Speaker 8: There was a novel you could go fucking read that
- 6:41Speaker 8: did it way better?
- 6:43Speaker 2: Oka, Okay, I like that answer. It's not a non answer.
- 6:48Speaker 2: You you're leveling up your game, sir, and.
- 6:50Speaker 8: Oh god, out of no, I'm still there.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Extra pressure on you.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Then I'll welcome to the show.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Gina.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Yeah, thank you.
- 7:04Speaker 2: And you think of a series, movie, franchise, anything that
- 7:09Speaker 2: you put off for the longest time, and when you
- 7:11Speaker 2: finally did experience it, you were like, what was all
- 7:15Speaker 2: the hype about? It was not that?
- 7:17Speaker 5: Well, this is going to make people man thoughse because
- 7:20Speaker 5: maybe I've been told you have to push through is
- 7:23Speaker 5: shits creek? Because when I checked it out, I was like, what,
- 7:25Speaker 5: I don't got it.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Oh that's interesting.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I've never seen it.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I can confirm the first few episodes. I thought it
- 7:35Speaker 2: was very quick, very snappy, and I did like it,
- 7:39Speaker 2: but I wasn't like hooked enough to keep going. Mm hmmmm,
- 7:43Speaker 2: So I guess I kind of I kind of.
- 7:46Speaker 5: I think that's what John told me. I have to
- 7:48Speaker 5: like push through the whole first season or something.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Yes, this is this was the experience for us with
- 7:54Speaker 4: Shit's Creek. Wife and I watched the first few episodes
- 7:57Speaker 4: and we're like, I just can't. I can't like these characters.
- 8:01Speaker 4: I can't. I don't. I don't want to follow them.
- 8:04Speaker 4: And actually, my mom, sorry, it's a habit.
- 8:11Speaker 5: We have vocal tics on our Sorry.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I'm near Mike, listen. When I have to actually do
- 8:16Speaker 4: something about saying that on the actual news, it's going
- 8:19Speaker 4: to be really difficult not to say that, go blah.
- 8:29Speaker 5: To push on more through Ships Creek and hopefully get better.
- 8:34Speaker 2: You gave up.
- 8:34Speaker 5: It sounds like I just.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Haven't gone back to try.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I think you don't discover that the characters are really
- 8:41Speaker 4: like three dimensional until the second season, Okay, like and
- 8:45Speaker 4: it finally makes you want to root for them. They don't.
- 8:48Speaker 4: They don't really allow you the luxury of rooting for
- 8:51Speaker 4: them through. Like I don't know three quarters of the
- 8:54Speaker 4: first season.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I think my problem with it is the same
- 8:58Speaker 2: problem I had with it it's always sunny, is that like,
- 9:00Speaker 2: these are awful people.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Oh you didn't care for that show.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Some people really enjoy cringe humor. I just don't. It
- 9:12Speaker 2: just makes me cringe and I don't like cringing.
- 9:14Speaker 1: So I thought it was hilarious.
- 9:18Speaker 2: It's the same thing with Man Down. I love Greg Davies,
- 9:21Speaker 2: like I would have that Man's babies, I really would.
- 9:24Speaker 2: But but I watched Man Down and it's like one
- 9:29Speaker 2: of the third like scenes, like one of the third
- 9:33Speaker 2: I think the third episode, it's like he goes into
- 9:36Speaker 2: a nightclub and he just immediately gets pissed on. Just
- 9:42Speaker 2: it's a slow motion scene. It's like just fits just
- 9:46Speaker 2: hitting it. Oh, what the fuck is this for?
- 9:51Speaker 4: Why am I watching British?
- 9:54Speaker 2: Having said that, that show did have one of the
- 9:56Speaker 2: funniest things the character who just had a massive and
- 10:00Speaker 2: he couldn't let it go. It's just so many jokes
- 10:03Speaker 2: about a big ass and it just it just went
- 10:05Speaker 2: on for the entire episode. That episode was worth it,
- 10:08Speaker 2: but the other one was like that turned you seriously off,
- 10:10Speaker 2: and I stopped watching it.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Okay, so I don't know.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Cringe is the thing with me? Uh that has nothing
- 10:16Speaker 2: to do with ships creak.
- 10:20Speaker 5: That was your answer.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I actually have a different answer.
- 10:23Speaker 1: But True Blood mostly because fuck SOOKI the main dude, Eric,
- 10:31Speaker 1: Eric's the only one that makes a show redeeming. Yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 1: got Eric, Yeah, Sky's guard, give me some anytime you want.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Saw that.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I thought you were in the same campus joorge where
- 10:45Speaker 2: that that show was really really good, But I guess not.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I like just him really, the story was Okay, it's
- 10:51Speaker 1: the character for fucking annoying.
- 10:53Speaker 5: He's got his hand on the He's like, Mark's not
- 10:56Speaker 5: in the scene.
- 10:57Speaker 1: The scene showed me his nightclub.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Let's do this refractory, let's go.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he was the only thing and I stopped watching.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I've never finished it, and I was watching it four,
- 11:08Speaker 1: like three or four.
- 11:08Speaker 5: So they killed him off. He'd be like, I'm done
- 11:10Speaker 5: with this.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Oh god.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I would have been like, nope, I quit way sooner
- 11:14Speaker 1: they were. I was just getting so annoyed. I'd watch it.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I'd get angry.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Seemed like a teenage girl show and didn't it won't
- 11:19Speaker 5: think it was marketed to me.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Lots of shirtless guys. Oh, shirtless guys.
- 11:27Speaker 5: Maybe I'll have to go back and check it out.
- 11:29Speaker 7: Lots.
- 11:30Speaker 1: It's like The Boys, but not with super power, well superheroes.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Anyway, over, did John think the Man, the myth, the
- 11:38Speaker 2: legend himself?
- 11:40Speaker 4: Well, so this giant, thank you? This is I haven't
- 11:47Speaker 4: I didn't wait very long on this, but it's definitely
- 11:50Speaker 4: one that we kind of just let go before the
- 11:53Speaker 4: end of the first season, and we we may revisit,
- 11:57Speaker 4: but it's a show called I'm a Virgo.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Oh, it's enough of that one already.
- 12:05Speaker 4: It's a lot. I don't know if we're going to
- 12:09Speaker 4: revisit it or not, but basically, it's the story of
- 12:15Speaker 4: and you don't really know why, at least as far
- 12:20Speaker 4: as I've gotten of, this baby that was born and
- 12:25Speaker 4: it becomes a full sized human that's thirteen feet tall.
- 12:29Speaker 1: What the fuck?
- 12:31Speaker 4: Yeah, and the aunt and uncle are caring for him,
- 12:36Speaker 4: and uh, they're trying to hide him. So it feels
- 12:43Speaker 4: like it a little bit because they cook him like
- 12:47Speaker 4: super healthy food. And I was like, oh my god,
- 12:50Speaker 4: he's like an actual literal vegan giant. Oh my god,
- 12:55Speaker 4: just like me. He's just like me.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I wanted to. It's just a little shorter, and it's.
- 13:00Speaker 4: This weird universe where like Walton Goggins plays this like
- 13:05Speaker 4: deranged Elon Musk kind of guy that like flies around
- 13:09Speaker 4: in this crazy crime fighting exo suit and like it's
- 13:14Speaker 4: it's all set in Oakland, California, and it's like this
- 13:20Speaker 4: you know, urban area that like you know, they're dealing
- 13:23Speaker 4: with the cops all the time. And so you know,
- 13:27Speaker 4: his aunt and uncle have like built this giant like
- 13:30Speaker 4: room which works for him, and it's basically like built
- 13:32Speaker 4: out of sides of houses and garage doors and stuff.
- 13:37Speaker 4: And all of his clothes are giant too, so like
- 13:39Speaker 4: the collar of his clothes is like a full on
- 13:41Speaker 4: like jeans belt. Yeah, and so he like reads little
- 13:48Speaker 4: comic books like this, and he's like he tries to
- 13:51Speaker 4: read them and he's like way to the concla. The
- 13:53Speaker 4: thing is, though, there's like a like a show that
- 13:56Speaker 4: all the kids watch and it's all this crazy like
- 14:00Speaker 4: kid's cartoon animation. But then the like what they're talking
- 14:04Speaker 4: about is like this crazy super dark, nehilistic human condition stuff.
- 14:09Speaker 4: And then the kids are like laughing at it, like
- 14:11Speaker 4: it's the funniest thing in the world, and they like
- 14:15Speaker 4: repeat it like it's they're like catchphrases like life is
- 14:18Speaker 4: meaningless and then you die, ah, like all this crazy
- 14:23Speaker 4: and you're just like, what the fuck am I watching?
- 14:26Speaker 4: And so there's so many scenes like this and I'm trying,
- 14:31Speaker 4: I'm trying to make it through it. And then like
- 14:34Speaker 4: it was really awkward because I recommended it again to
- 14:36Speaker 4: my to my mom and then can we watch an
- 14:40Speaker 4: episode right after that which was a not to be
- 14:43Speaker 4: too much of a spoiler, but the thirteen foot tall
- 14:48Speaker 4: kid has sex with a regular sized woman who has,
- 14:54Speaker 4: unexplainably why we don't know yet, super speed, and so
- 14:59Speaker 4: she's like all around his like giant thirteen. Anyway, it's
- 15:02Speaker 4: like a crazy there's so many times when you're like,
- 15:05Speaker 4: what in the hell am I watching? But it's just
- 15:09Speaker 4: it's too much, it's too much.
- 15:10Speaker 5: And I can't there's no way she didn't get injured
- 15:14Speaker 5: from sex with him.
- 15:17Speaker 1: The other way around.
- 15:17Speaker 2: That's the Superman argument.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, so if you if you can, if you
- 15:24Speaker 4: can watch it and figure it out, let me know.
- 15:26Speaker 4: But I I.
- 15:29Speaker 5: His penis is a metaphor.
- 15:32Speaker 4: I mean, aren't they all metaphor?
- 15:37Speaker 5: Show Baby bend Over.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Yeah, never had you pegged for that?
- 15:43Speaker 9: I thank you anything, So, yeah, thanks very much for
- 15:53Speaker 9: that psychological attack.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Finally, Pansy Saran and mine is I've already told I
- 16:05Speaker 2: were discussed on the show and getting back into dragon Age.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Finally checked out. I played and beat Dragon Age origins
- 16:12Speaker 2: and I was like, this is okay. It just feels
- 16:15Speaker 2: like Mass Effect, but.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Medieval Fantasy the video game.
- 16:22Speaker 2: And then I moved on to Dragon Age too because
- 16:25Speaker 2: I wanted to check out the whole series, and Aggie
- 16:27Speaker 2: did warn me going in that it was very different,
- 16:30Speaker 2: and yes, it's it is different. I mean it's limited
- 16:34Speaker 2: to a city, and it's it's it's more about the
- 16:39Speaker 2: city's politics than it is about like the world saving thing,
- 16:47Speaker 2: so the stakes are much lower, and it's it's just
- 16:53Speaker 2: it just doesn't feel like anything I'm doing has any import.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Either that or it's just it always ends in tragedy
- 16:58Speaker 2: no matter what you do.
- 17:00Speaker 1: It's like you don't matter.
- 17:01Speaker 2: It's like a series of tragic events that you're just
- 17:03Speaker 2: kind of a witness to that You're just kind you're
- 17:05Speaker 2: always there, you know, And and a lot of a
- 17:09Speaker 2: lot of the plot, the overarching plot I should say,
- 17:13Speaker 2: you know, is pointing out that if this person hadn't
- 17:15Speaker 2: been there, these things probably wouldn't have happened. It's just like,
- 17:19Speaker 2: no matter what choice you make, your bones, which is
- 17:22Speaker 2: kind of off putting. So it all kind of feels like,
- 17:24Speaker 2: what the fuck did I do any of this for?
- 17:26Speaker 4: Right? Right? You know, it's almost like the game is
- 17:29Speaker 4: saying because fuck you, that's why.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Almost A.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Yeah, honestly, I mean as far as like gameplay goes,
- 17:40Speaker 2: like I know objections, I thought it was much more
- 17:41Speaker 2: fluid and more fun to play than Dragon a Georgians,
- 17:44Speaker 2: But just like just from a story perspective, I was
- 17:47Speaker 2: like really disappointed. I'm like, what, what was the point
- 17:50Speaker 2: of any of this? Just to like Game of Thrones
- 17:53Speaker 2: me into just throwing all of my family and like
- 17:56Speaker 2: a lot of my friends and you know, half the
- 17:59Speaker 2: damn city by the time you're done.
- 18:00Speaker 1: It's a sequel. It's gotta be a revenge story. Every
- 18:02Speaker 1: sequel is a revenge every.
- 18:06Speaker 2: It just came out of nowhere as all. But I'm
- 18:09Speaker 2: still gonna move on and play the other ones because.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Good one.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Dragon Age Inquisition was the first one where I tried
- 18:19Speaker 2: to put a friend of mine into a game. I
- 18:21Speaker 2: should have warned you about that one too, didn't even work.
- 18:25Speaker 2: But the newest one, Dragon Age Vailguard is the one
- 18:28Speaker 2: I'm most interested in getting to because you can set
- 18:32Speaker 2: up the character, the character in such a way that
- 18:35Speaker 2: it is voiced by Eric. She's one of my lanet
- 18:41Speaker 2: and she's hysterical and she's awesome, and uh meet her
- 18:45Speaker 2: and she was very kind.
- 18:48Speaker 1: She wasn't She kept talking to me.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Where was this that?
- 18:56Speaker 2: I think it was that magist and he signed.
- 19:00Speaker 1: His I got her to sign my death note.
- 19:04Speaker 2: And she freaked out.
- 19:05Speaker 1: It was awesome.
- 19:06Speaker 2: It was currently one of her favorites. So cool because
- 19:10Speaker 2: it's a death notebook.
- 19:11Speaker 5: Get her on New show Man.
- 19:12Speaker 2: But yeah, so she's one of my favorite people. So
- 19:15Speaker 2: I do want to play that game, if only for her.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, even though where it is it's worse than
- 19:20Speaker 2: the others, we'll see.
- 19:22Speaker 5: I played to Push Through for Erica.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I played the first fifteen minutes of it.
- 19:26Speaker 4: I just played on Super Easy Man that point.
- 19:28Speaker 1: So can get a box of tissues, some popcorny go
- 19:31Speaker 1: at it.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I'm hoping somehow what the video game I'm video Dear God,
- 19:37Speaker 2: all right, let's move on I'm so sorry, Erica. I'm
- 19:40Speaker 2: sorry I start playing.
- 19:41Speaker 4: The control of the vibration function.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Oh yeah, dear God, Well there goes any chance we
- 19:47Speaker 2: had of inviting her. I'm pretty sure we're gonna play
- 19:56Speaker 2: Colma share block hold. It's a it's like it's like
- 20:01Speaker 2: share block, but it's more friends. Oh, I got three
- 20:05Speaker 2: news stories here. Uh, I've got three news stories here,
- 20:10Speaker 2: and all our players have to do is tell me
- 20:11Speaker 2: which one I would like, which one I would share,
- 20:13Speaker 2: which one I would block on social media. There is
- 20:15Speaker 2: only one correct combination, and there is one for each story.
- 20:19Speaker 2: So we're just gonna go over the stories one by one,
- 20:22Speaker 2: and then our teams will take turns deciding. Now, while
- 20:26Speaker 2: I'm thinking about it, who won the last episode? Was
- 20:29Speaker 2: it Augie? And no?
- 20:32Speaker 1: I lost?
- 20:33Speaker 2: You lost?
- 20:33Speaker 4: Okay?
- 20:34Speaker 2: In that case, Augie's team will get to pick first.
- 20:37Speaker 2: So John and Augie think carefully about which one of
- 20:39Speaker 2: these I would like.
- 20:40Speaker 5: And which one would share in which one carefully?
- 20:42Speaker 2: Story number one, Yes, Story number one. French professor who
- 20:47Speaker 2: gave himself award is guilty of something, maybe, he says
- 20:54Speaker 2: investigators noted so at a ceremony at the French National
- 21:01Speaker 2: Assembly attended Nobel Prize winners, politicians, scientists, and academics. The
- 21:12Speaker 2: attention was on a previously unknown literature professor Florent Montclair
- 21:17Speaker 2: was receiving the twenty sixteen Gold Medal of Philology, which
- 21:21Speaker 2: is the study of language and historical.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Contexts, obviously from an international society.
- 21:29Speaker 2: He was the first French recipient of the medal, which
- 21:33Speaker 2: had previously been awarded to umberto Eco Italian author and academic.
- 21:38Speaker 2: It was a fine event and impressive achievement, but it
- 21:43Speaker 2: was also entirely fake and supposedly, according to detectives, part
- 21:48Speaker 2: of a complex international hoax worthy of the like.
- 21:52Speaker 1: The people never were there, No, they were there.
- 21:55Speaker 2: The ceremony did take place, it happened. However, there was
- 22:00Speaker 2: no international Society of Philology the University in America to
- 22:05Speaker 2: which it was supposedly affiliated. It was only online and
- 22:10Speaker 2: its address was in Lose, Delaware. The award, which was
- 22:15Speaker 2: likened to a Nobel prize, was completely invented by Montclair,
- 22:19Speaker 2: and he had bought the medal from a jeweler in
- 22:22Speaker 2: Paris for two hundred and fifty euros WOW to present
- 22:27Speaker 2: to himself.
- 22:30Speaker 1: This.
- 22:30Speaker 5: I got no problem with that.
- 22:32Speaker 2: He's under investigation for suspected forgery, use of forged documents, impersonation,
- 22:38Speaker 2: and fraud.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I mean, is it really fraud if he creates the
- 22:42Speaker 1: society he's never got.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Here's the truth to himself. The trouble with this is
- 22:47Speaker 2: that literally anybody can give themselves an award for anything.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Right participation medal.
- 22:55Speaker 2: I mean, I'm still waiting for when bfytw starts doing
- 22:59Speaker 2: the Stevis at a yearly. God, it's coming. The day
- 23:06Speaker 2: is coming, just like it so it it might it
- 23:13Speaker 2: might never have been found out. But he did try
- 23:16Speaker 2: to apply to the French Ministry of Higher Education to
- 23:19Speaker 2: get a promotion, backing up that request by saying, hey,
- 23:26Speaker 2: I got this fancy medal.
- 23:28Speaker 5: That's where he went wrong.
- 23:32Speaker 2: And yeah, I mean I suppose I. I probably would
- 23:35Speaker 2: have come right out and say, you know, just so
- 23:37Speaker 2: there's just no misunderstandings. I gave myself the medal, but
- 23:41Speaker 2: I do have it a banquet. It was given to
- 23:47Speaker 2: me by me at an event, but attended by somebody else.
- 23:52Speaker 1: On him. He put it on himself too, like I
- 23:54Speaker 1: would make somebody else presented at least so that like.
- 23:56Speaker 5: The king took the crown himself.
- 23:58Speaker 2: His lawyer's defense is that it can't be forgery because
- 24:02Speaker 2: that implies it's a fake. But he actually have it made.
- 24:07Speaker 2: There is only one in the world that belongs to him. Like,
- 24:11Speaker 2: it's literally real.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I don't see anything wrong with this. He's not stealing
- 24:16Speaker 1: from anyone, thinks.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Everybody who went to the attempt apparently had a good time.
- 24:23Speaker 5: But it wasn't like he didn't make them pay for
- 24:26Speaker 5: the He didn't make.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Them like, you know, he didn't take money from any
- 24:30Speaker 2: of the attendees or anything like that. He financed the
- 24:32Speaker 2: whole thing himself.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Performance art.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's totally fine.
- 24:38Speaker 4: In my class defense. The food was delicious, was.
- 24:43Speaker 5: A vegan option.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Yes, those friends needed to chill the fuck out, just
- 24:49Speaker 1: like let them.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Prosecutors and detectives retort that if you stay at home
- 24:59Speaker 2: with your medals on your mantelpiece, there's no wrongdoing there.
- 25:05Speaker 2: But if you try to use it to improve your standing,
- 25:08Speaker 2: you mentioned it to your employer or the media, and
- 25:11Speaker 2: that leads to a certain amount of professional recognition, then
- 25:14Speaker 2: then that is where the notion of fraud begins to arise.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Well, it's still fun.
- 25:20Speaker 4: The fact that this story is in the news now
- 25:23Speaker 4: negates that.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I still don't think it's it should be illegal. No,
- 25:28Speaker 2: I don't constitute this as fraud. But if the first tried.
- 25:32Speaker 5: To just don't get a promotion, if he and tried.
- 25:35Speaker 2: To sell it for like fifty thousand euros.
- 25:37Speaker 10: As this big yeah, well yes then yeah yeah then
- 25:43Speaker 10: but even then, like if somebody buys it, they clearly
- 25:47Speaker 10: value that medal at that level, I would not fake.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I would put that on auction though. That's how you
- 25:52Speaker 1: do it that way, whatever they want. Technically, yeah, that
- 25:57Speaker 1: way you're didn't put a price.
- 25:58Speaker 4: On it, especially if that auction is you naked with
- 26:03Speaker 4: just hanging and be like all right, gets it closest
- 26:08Speaker 4: to the naked statues, and like this, he's.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Going to pay to extend the ribbon lower exactly.
- 26:18Speaker 4: The highest subscriber gets to see the clothes anyway, gets
- 26:23Speaker 4: to see a little nick.
- 26:28Speaker 1: A little nigs.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Makeing a face.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Wow, I have to go, I have to go to
- 26:38Speaker 2: Let's get on with the al alright. Story Number two,
- 26:42Speaker 2: French gamblers win loads of money by changing the weather.
- 26:48Speaker 2: So on April sixth and April fifteenth, those two days,
- 26:53Speaker 2: in particular, for several dozen minutes, the data from a
- 27:00Speaker 2: censor that measures temperatures at Charles de Gaull Airport in
- 27:04Speaker 2: Paris showed some unusual increases. Around nine thirty pm, the
- 27:10Speaker 2: temperature read twenty two degrees celsius, even though it had
- 27:14Speaker 2: been eighteen degrees celsius in the middle of the afternoon.
- 27:18Speaker 2: So suddenly at night it was a lot hotter, which
- 27:21Speaker 2: was unusual, and the people who monitor such things all
- 27:26Speaker 2: thought it was just a sensor malfunction. They sent a
- 27:30Speaker 2: tech out to take a look at it, but sure enough,
- 27:35Speaker 2: this particular device had been tampered with. Oh no, So
- 27:41Speaker 2: they start looking into it, and they find out about
- 27:45Speaker 2: the American online betting platform polymarket.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Oh no, this.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Is one of several I've seen ads for these, where
- 27:53Speaker 2: you can literally bet on anything.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Yeah, yep.
- 27:57Speaker 2: The danger with allowing betting on any thing is that
- 28:01Speaker 2: it is very easy to tamper with results, especially if
- 28:06Speaker 2: the thing is small and niche. And in this case
- 28:10Speaker 2: it better had placed like a couple hundred pounds bet
- 28:16Speaker 2: on the temperature in this one particular area rising above
- 28:21Speaker 2: twenty two on two specific days, and they pulled out
- 28:25Speaker 2: twenty thousand dollars.
- 28:28Speaker 1: That's awesome, good for because.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, if one thing's gonna be okay, then why
- 28:37Speaker 4: not everything?
- 28:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I like your thinking.
- 28:43Speaker 4: I mean, as long as you're not doing like insider trading.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Sports and things. These are regulated, or at least they
- 28:48Speaker 2: used to be until Yeah, those we've ever had showed up.
- 28:54Speaker 2: But like none of these incidental things are regulated at all.
- 29:00Speaker 2: What is going to say in his next tweet? Isn't
- 29:02Speaker 2: regulated like there's there's no there's literally nothing like like
- 29:08Speaker 2: there's there's no protection whatsoever in this kind of online
- 29:12Speaker 2: betting market, so people can just do whatever. In this case,
- 29:15Speaker 2: this enterprising individual had figured out where these readings were
- 29:19Speaker 2: taken and tampered with the sensors just enough to make
- 29:22Speaker 2: sure that during the times that it would check, it
- 29:27Speaker 2: would be high enough to win him the BetUS.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Do we know how he tampered with them? Did he
- 29:33Speaker 4: have like a little little weather balloon with like a
- 29:35Speaker 4: little candle.
- 29:38Speaker 2: It doesn't go into uh the article he's outside.
- 29:43Speaker 4: The turns it into a rectal thermometer just like plants
- 29:49Speaker 4: it right there a little bit well the inside a
- 29:53Speaker 4: maze twenty two?
- 29:59Speaker 5: Was he caught on camera tampering?
- 30:02Speaker 2: I assume so they tracked down his us your name
- 30:06Speaker 2: from the bets. It was pretty easy to find out
- 30:09Speaker 2: who it was based.
- 30:10Speaker 5: On Loverboy six I love, but.
- 30:22Speaker 2: I believe he is currently under investigation, probably going to
- 30:26Speaker 2: be facing charges for fraud.
- 30:27Speaker 4: I mean, I.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Guess, but this is the first time of fans let
- 30:31Speaker 1: him off. No, he didn't kill anybody. You fuck know,
- 30:37Speaker 1: some betting website. Who gives the funk about that website?
- 30:41Speaker 2: All the other betters who were fraudulently.
- 30:45Speaker 1: He took a bunch of money from them by that website,
- 30:47Speaker 1: So take the money from that site. Who gives a fuck?
- 30:50Speaker 4: It's fine, I mean, to.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Be fair, I'm okay with it.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Crazy thing is no matter what.
- 30:57Speaker 2: He has gambling addictions.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Yea, let's do it, my lord.
- 31:12Speaker 2: All right, let's move on to story number three. Uh.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Story number three, nobody dies from disease that AI chatbots
- 31:21Speaker 2: believe is real.
- 31:25Speaker 11: Uh.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Do you have sore, itchy eyes?
- 31:29Speaker 1: I do?
- 31:29Speaker 2: I mean, you might be one of millions of people
- 31:31Speaker 2: who spend too much time staring at screens. How do
- 31:34Speaker 2: you rub your eyes too much? Your eyelids might turn
- 31:38Speaker 2: you no kind of pinkish. But if you were these
- 31:44Speaker 2: symptoms into a range of popular chatbots, they might tell
- 31:49Speaker 2: you that you have bioxy on sorry bixany mania. This
- 31:57Speaker 2: condition does not appear in standard literature because it doesn't exist.
- 32:05Speaker 2: It was invented by a team at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden,
- 32:10Speaker 2: who dreamt up the skin condition and uploaded two fake
- 32:13Speaker 2: studies about it to a server in early twenty twenty four.
- 32:17Speaker 2: This experiment was designed to test whether large language models
- 32:21Speaker 2: would swallow the misinformation hole and spit it out as
- 32:24Speaker 2: reputable health advice. Surprise, surprise, the experiment worked a little
- 32:32Speaker 2: too well always does. Within weeks, major artificial intelligence systems
- 32:39Speaker 2: began repeating the invented condition as if it were real.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Even more troublingly, other researchers then cited the fake papers
- 32:48Speaker 2: hear reviewed literature, Oh my God, which then suggests that
- 32:54Speaker 2: some resources are relying on AI generated references without reading
- 32:58Speaker 2: the papers themselves. Yes, fucking idiots.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Wow.
- 33:04Speaker 4: I wonder if that's why there's those new uh prescription
- 33:07Speaker 4: I dropped commercials about killing those giant eyelash mites. If
- 33:12Speaker 4: you've seen them on the TV. Yeah, they have like
- 33:15Speaker 4: these giant like comedians dressed up in my costumes and
- 33:20Speaker 4: they're hanging to eyelashes and then the drop comes in
- 33:22Speaker 4: and washes them and they're.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Like, oh god, it's a hurricane. Yeah, commercials there, dumb Yeah, yeah.
- 33:31Speaker 5: I don't know how the AI would know it's a
- 33:33Speaker 5: fake study.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't know it was a fake study.
- 33:36Speaker 12: Hair.
- 33:37Speaker 5: Yeah, It's like, well how would it how wouldn't know
- 33:39Speaker 5: what what studies are real?
- 33:41Speaker 6: Well, I mean they could have reviewed the two fake
- 33:45Speaker 6: articles that were posted about it.
- 33:47Speaker 1: And cited those references. It would have probably hit to like.
- 33:51Speaker 8: A dead end that would have shown that it was
- 33:53Speaker 8: either a bust or fake study altogether.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Also, the lead research the lead author of those two
- 34:00Speaker 2: ages was a phony researcher named los lyev Is Gublanovitch
- 34:08Speaker 2: whose photograph was created with AI.
- 34:10Speaker 7: Oh yeah, so they made it as obvious as possible
- 34:14Speaker 7: and it still fell for it.
- 34:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:16Speaker 2: There was no like background to this guy whatsoever at all.
- 34:20Speaker 2: And even AI has been has been shown to be
- 34:23Speaker 2: able to discern whether images are created by air or not,
- 34:28Speaker 2: but it's still fell for it.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Crazy good times.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Fun yeah, fun. Wow.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Guess what they're going to be controlling our next round
- 34:41Speaker 4: of attack drones?
- 34:43Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 34:46Speaker 4: Okay, remember remember rebel coop.
- 34:51Speaker 5: And buy that for a dollar oh my god.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, And justin just in case you think your
- 34:59Speaker 2: AI brand of choice was not responsible, Microsoft Being's co
- 35:04Speaker 2: pilot was declaring that bixani media is indeed intriguing in
- 35:08Speaker 2: relatively rare condition. Little Gemini was imported users that bixani
- 35:13Speaker 2: mania is a condition caused by excessive exposure to blue
- 35:15Speaker 2: light and advising people to visit an ophthalmologist would have gone, what.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Oh I just read about that.
- 35:27Speaker 2: The Perplexity AI answer engine said that one in ninety
- 35:31Speaker 2: thousand individuals were affected, and chat GPT was telling users
- 35:36Speaker 2: whether there's symptoms amounted to moxymedia. So almost no AI that's.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Fucking crazy is in vulnerable to this.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Sounds about right.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Okay, Well, if that's all the thoughts we have in
- 35:50Speaker 2: that particular story, and it looks like that's it, we're
- 35:53Speaker 2: gonna move on. It's time to figure out which one
- 35:56Speaker 2: I liked, which one I shared, and which one I
- 35:58Speaker 2: blocked on social media. And as I said before, John
- 36:02Speaker 2: and Aggie, you guys are gonna go first though, splatter platter,
- 36:05Speaker 2: discuss and come up with what combination again story number one,
- 36:12Speaker 2: I'll go over the briefly one more time. French professor
- 36:14Speaker 2: who gave himself a ward is guilty of something made investigators.
- 36:19Speaker 2: French gamblers win loads of money by changing the weather,
- 36:22Speaker 2: and finally nobody dies from fake disease and chatbots believed
- 36:26Speaker 2: was real.
- 36:29Speaker 7: So I don't know about you, but Aaron's been on
- 36:32Speaker 7: a huge anti AI kick lately, and you know, I'm
- 36:38Speaker 7: here for it. But I'm thinking he might be out
- 36:41Speaker 7: to share this one at least, so I think that
- 36:45Speaker 7: one in there.
- 36:46Speaker 6: As for the other two, it could go either way.
- 36:52Speaker 4: I would say I would probably say, maybe lock the
- 37:00Speaker 4: fake award then and then like the gamble weather.
- 37:07Speaker 6: Like the gamble weather.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Yeah, because if we're if we're locking in share fake disease,
- 37:14Speaker 4: then that's that's where I would put the other two.
- 37:16Speaker 6: Okay, Yeah, I whole hardly agree with you.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Okay, So that's what you're gonna go with. Disease block
- 37:25Speaker 2: the French professor and like the French gamblers winning loads
- 37:29Speaker 2: of money. Ceebee and Gina. You guys can keep one
- 37:34Speaker 2: of their answers and swap the other two, or you
- 37:36Speaker 2: can go entirely your own way.
- 37:39Speaker 1: This is gonna be difficult. I agree that Aaron does
- 37:43Speaker 1: not like the AI, but I think he'd actually block
- 37:45Speaker 1: the story altogether instead of sharing the story.
- 37:48Speaker 5: That's what I was thinking.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Yeah, So then it comes down to the other two.
- 37:52Speaker 4: That's actually so what is it?
- 37:54Speaker 5: It is like and share, ye like and share left.
- 37:58Speaker 1: So it's either he likes you.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Guess he shared the award and liked the weather.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Guess what I was thinking, Because it's still kind of
- 38:06Speaker 1: funny that guy got she didn't want it. He phond.
- 38:09Speaker 1: You know, he found a loophole. So yeah, we're gonna
- 38:11Speaker 1: go share like block.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Okay, So you're sharing the French professor gave himself an award,
- 38:17Speaker 2: you're liking the French gamblers, and you are blocking the
- 38:21Speaker 2: fake AI disease, yes, sir, okay. In that case, I
- 38:25Speaker 2: can reveal that neither team got it exactly right.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Well, you know we all get then, So.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Gina, I'm sorry to say that you guys didn't get
- 38:37Speaker 2: any of them right. Sean and did manage to get
- 38:41Speaker 2: my share right, which means they win this game. They
- 38:44Speaker 2: were in themselves one episode. Point.
- 38:46Speaker 5: No, you did share the AI.
- 38:49Speaker 2: I did indeed share the A story because AI it
- 38:54Speaker 2: is wrong all the time, and I mean an impressive amount.
- 38:59Speaker 11: Of this point sharing those kind of stories is awareness,
- 39:03Speaker 11: is trying to awareness next time, I'm not trust Aaron.
- 39:12Speaker 1: I remember that everybody eat my ass?
- 39:16Speaker 2: So yeah, but I I liked the French professor who
- 39:19Speaker 2: gave himself an award because it's it's an amusing story
- 39:24Speaker 2: to me. And I don't really care about gambling one
- 39:26Speaker 2: way or the other. I've never been a gambler. It's
- 39:30Speaker 2: a it's a shitty way to to to break the system.
- 39:33Speaker 2: But the system is already broken in my eyes. So
- 39:35Speaker 2: I just completely blocked that one.
- 39:37Speaker 1: That's fair.
- 39:38Speaker 2: So you guys just had the those two switched. But
- 39:41Speaker 2: otherwise the game goes to you John and Ogilvy one
- 39:47Speaker 2: episode point, the Giraffe Stompers have yet to get on
- 39:52Speaker 2: the boards. When we come back, we're gonna play game two,
- 39:55Speaker 2: which is where, and we're gonna play it right after this.
- 40:08Speaker 4: Era.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Nice?
- 40:10Speaker 5: Yeah your head any better?
- 40:14Speaker 14: Uh?
- 40:14Speaker 2: Still kind of the same.
- 40:16Speaker 4: Do you guys mind if I run to the old restaurant?
- 40:20Speaker 2: Same, do what you need to do back in the mouth.
- 40:25Speaker 1: That's what these makes it for. Oh you get you
- 40:33Speaker 1: get already there, already there.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Stop trying to fucking growing me, No, drink it as well.
- 40:42Speaker 3: Get stop it it, yank it, pull it, fucking spank it.
- 40:54Speaker 12: What.
- 40:55Speaker 5: I don't know if you can hear that.

- 46:15Speaker 2: bid first or one of you bid last?
- 46:19Speaker 1: Do you want to do last week get the first
- 46:21Speaker 1: point in this part?
- 46:22Speaker 5: Yeah, that's advantage.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Yeah, no, and last is the advantage. So you decided
- 46:27Speaker 2: to go last? In that case, I am going to

- 48:54Speaker 1: So scared less to say fifty eight hundred at the
- 48:56Speaker 1: beginning of this, thenk that's gonna.
- 48:57Speaker 12: Be that high.
- 48:58Speaker 1: That's insane.

- 49:29Speaker 2: features an island and the text has a blue background,
- 49:32Speaker 2: but the text and man of symbols indicate the card
- 49:35Speaker 2: is actually a dark ritual card. The text is mostly
- 49:39Speaker 2: in German, but the Wizards of the Coast copyright blurb
- 49:42Speaker 2: is French. This bizarre test print is the only one
- 49:46Speaker 2: of its kind is in mint condition and this listening

- 52:01Speaker 4: just the box outside of it. Man, how about a.
- 52:04Speaker 5: Dual ice makers, I gotta get so much eyes at it.
- 52:09Speaker 4: You know, you gotta have one cubed and one crushed,
- 52:13Speaker 4: and then you can do like a little parfait of
- 52:15Speaker 4: ice in your high ball the fact that you're a
- 52:18Speaker 4: terrible alcoholic different.
- 52:20Speaker 5: I think your team name should be parfat of Ice.

- 54:18Speaker 2: so this one as well. Our fourth item up forbids

- 54:30Speaker 2: nineteen hundred is the first of what became a dominant
- 54:34Speaker 2: force in restaurant review, and very few copies remain of
- 54:37Speaker 2: this first edition, and of those that do, most are
- 54:40Speaker 2: now highly prized items in the collections of Michelin accredited chefs,
- 54:44Speaker 2: where are preserved in Michelin's own archives. And this listing
- 54:49Speaker 2: goes to the one of you who bids closest to
- 54:51Speaker 2: the final auction price without going over. And this time
- 54:56Speaker 2: I leave.

- 55:28Speaker 5: Twelve thousand, twelve thousand.
- 55:32Speaker 4: All right, here's a chance carry me through. Okay, this
- 55:36Speaker 4: is gonna be no pressure.
- 55:38Speaker 7: I was thinking about it.
- 55:40Speaker 2: I genuinely was going the bid so far John did

- 55:59Speaker 1: Thank you appreciate.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Was it the right move?
- 56:02Speaker 9: Yes?
- 56:02Speaker 2: It was the final auction price of this first edition
- 56:06Speaker 2: Michelin Guide from nineteen hundred thirty eight thousand six. And
- 56:15Speaker 2: the teams have tied it up. It stings apiece. It
- 56:19Speaker 2: comes down to this, John, you will be our first
- 56:22Speaker 2: bidder again.
- 56:23Speaker 4: Hot.
- 56:23Speaker 2: Our final itema forbids is this exquisite collectible card. This
- 56:29Speaker 2: Pokemon nineteen ninety nine French drakof fu Aka Charizard Holographic
- 56:37Speaker 2: base set, first edition is safely encased and professionally graded
- 56:43Speaker 2: by the PSA at a ten out of ten SHNT condition.
- 56:48Speaker 2: And this rare collectible can be yours if the cost
- 56:51Speaker 2: is correct.
- 56:52Speaker 6: Man, I was just still in my Pokemon cards.
- 56:56Speaker 4: You start this officer, thankfully, and I'm going to name
- 57:00Speaker 4: drop in the process. I'm Facebook friends with a competitive
- 57:05Speaker 4: and somewhat champion Pokemon player and also a guy from
- 57:11Speaker 4: Love on the Spectrum, Matt Dunford, who puts all of
- 57:14Speaker 4: these things out. And I think I remember this one
- 57:17Speaker 4: and it went for a little bit over three million dollars.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Three million dollars, says John. That's crazy, Gina, Oh my god.
- 57:31Speaker 5: Okay, I don't know about that, but I believe you.
- 57:34Speaker 2: I just I don't know if this is the same.
- 57:36Speaker 4: One, Imber, but I seem to remember. I don't know,
- 57:40Speaker 4: I know what it is. You know, I'm going I'm
- 57:44Speaker 4: going strong on this because I stepped on my crank
- 57:46Speaker 4: the last time we did this with that teenage mutant
- 57:49Speaker 4: Ninja Turtle's comic book thing. And I knew it because
- 57:51Speaker 4: I saw the price in person, and I doubted myself.
- 57:55Speaker 4: And I didn't just say the number because I would
- 57:57Speaker 4: have gotten out anyway.
- 57:58Speaker 5: How about can I go three point one million?
- 58:01Speaker 1: You can size nice? That's how you're doing?
- 58:05Speaker 4: One million?
- 58:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Gina, all right, Augie, how dare.
- 58:11Speaker 1: You say one dollar? Then you get everything from one
- 58:15Speaker 1: dollar up to three million?
- 58:17Speaker 6: You know, I want to say one hundred thousand, nice,
- 58:23Speaker 6: one hundred thousand.
- 58:26Speaker 5: What you're going to do? Steamy?
- 58:27Speaker 4: Finally, stea lots of choices there, I.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Need to be over one hundred thousand, I think so. Yeah,
- 58:34Speaker 1: I'll give you a dick to either one hundred and

- 58:40Speaker 4: Twenty five thousand wows a lot of money.
- 58:43Speaker 5: That's a lot of between here and forty.
- 58:48Speaker 1: You have all over.
- 58:50Speaker 2: Starting with John again, please bid lower?
- 58:54Speaker 5: Are you thinking of the logan, Paul card or whatever?
- 58:57Speaker 4: You want me to rebid lower than one hundred thousand dollars?
- 58:59Speaker 2: Five sir, five digits?
- 59:01Speaker 4: Okay, all right, okay, let's uh, let's put it at
- 59:05Speaker 4: sixty nine thousand dollars.
- 59:09Speaker 1: He wins.
- 59:12Speaker 5: Nine thousand dollars, Thank you for we love you, Gina,
- 59:17Speaker 5: forty two thousand dollars.

- 1:00:22Speaker 5: a chain they sold for five million.
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: I think that may have been that. It's not that.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: In any event, again, believe you definitely wasn't this one though.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: The giraffe stompers Gene and Cevie have two episode points
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: splatter platter, John and Oggie have one. But Game three
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: is going to decide it. We're going to play that
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: game for three episode points, and we're going to play
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: it right after this.

- 1:01:39Speaker 2: three is gonna be four out of five dentists. Hey Dennis,
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: I have got I've got five surveys here asking questions
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: like what percentage of Americans believing ghosts? That sort of thing,
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: and one team is going to guess the exact percentage.
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: You'll discuss between yourselves, come up with a number that
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: you both like, and present it. The other team will
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: then have to deci whether the actual value is higher
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: or lower than what the other team has guessed. If
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: that team is correct, they'll get a point. If the
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: original team is within ten points high or low, they
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: get a point. After all, five surveys. The team with
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: the most points wins the game and gets three episode
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: points and the splatter platter. You guys lost the last game.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: You have the choice, do you want to guess the
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: percentage first? Or do you want to guess higher or
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: lower first?
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: Maggie, what do you think?
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: Hmmm, it's typically easier to guess the higher or lower.
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: That's what I was thinking of, a higher chance of
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: getting it correct.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Yeah, so yeah, let's do that or lower? Yeah or lower?
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Okay, so you're I'm going to guess now. That means
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: the draft stompers are going to guess the percentage first.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: We're starting with this poll. In an April twenty twenty
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: six pole, when asked to choose between their mother or father,
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: what percentage of American women said that their mother was
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: more affectionate growing up?
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: What percentage of American women said that yeah?
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: What percentage of American women said, out of their mother
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: and father, their mother was more affectionate growing up?
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: God, I don't know, I have any idea. Don't you
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: gotta kind of take for me as a man? Yeah,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: my mom was very affectionate, but I didn't really see
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: it too much.
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: Well, I mean that's what they say, like you're closer
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: like the Oedipus compacts, you know, with the opposite sex parent.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: I don't know, you want to say like forty, I.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Think it's like, yeah, yeah, I'm done for that.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: All right, you've locked in forty percent?
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, why not?
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Splatter Platter, what do you think?
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: I think? And it's probably a bit more.
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: I think it's I think it's a little more.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Yeah, not much, not by yeah exactly, probably her fifty
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: to fifty.
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: That's what I was thinking.
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: Situation we're looking at.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: So yeah, birth higher, Yep.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: You're going higher. Okay. In a twenty twenty six April
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: twenty twenty six pole, when asta choose between their mother
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: and father, the percentage of American women who said their
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: mother was more affectionate growing up is thirty nine percent.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Oh my god, with his not higher, it is lower
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: by one.
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: Mail that one.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: That is the closest I think we've ever got all.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: So splatter Platter gets a point one hundred. No no, sorry,
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: graft stoppers gets a point. They were within one, but
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: splider Platter said higher, it is actually lower.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Sing that's crazy, good numbering.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: That was an incredible, guest.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: You number hard, Gina, She's so hard. Here's the number one.
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: All right, Well, we're going to swap the number on
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: that was. We're gonna swap the numbering and the vertical decision.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: So this question goes to John and Augie of Splatter
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: Platter in a May twenty twenty six pole. What percentage
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: of American adults who do not belong to either the
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Democratic or Republican parties say that the economy has gotten
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: worse under Trump's second term?
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Oh, I don't think what the percentage of independence. I
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: think voters say that the economy has gotten worse.
- 1:05:33Speaker 6: By now, it's got to be closer to like seventy eighty.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: Percent, right, I was gonna say, like sixty five seventy.
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: Sixty five seventy You want to go around in sixty
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: five seventy So sixty five on the land, Yeah, sixty five,
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: sixty five, sixty.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: Five sixty five percent, say Splatter Platter Stevie and Gina
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: of Giraffe Stompers.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: What do you think do we take the majority and
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: go lower? You think just from medically, Yeah.
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: Because there's people registered like libertarian and ship that like
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: and the are Trumpers. So I feel like it's going
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: to be lower.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: Okay, fair, fair, Yeah you think I think it's a
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: safer bet, just like by numbers.
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, lower please yeah, okay, you're going lower.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: In that May twenty twenty six pole, the percentage of
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: American adults who do not belong to either Democrat or
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: Republican parties who said that the economy has gotten worse
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: under Trump's second term is sixty one percent. Wow, and
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: John and AUGI very close, only off by four. You
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: absolutely get a point. But the Giraffe numbers were also
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: right that it was lower, so we also get a point.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Wow. The numbering.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: You guys are playing very very well. Fuck well, let's
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: see if this all goes downhill, we're going to swap
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: back to the other team.
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: Now we're so good, you guys, Gina and.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Stevie, you guys are going to guess the percentage on this.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: According to an April twenty twenty six survey, what percentage
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: of American millennials millennials say that they liked Star Wars
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: The Empire Strikes Back? What percentage of American millennials said
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: they liked Star Wars.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: That was original trig like the Empire that was original trilogy.
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, and they all gaga for that, aren't they.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I thought, Like, we're around millenial? What
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: are we? What am I?
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: What? What year were you born?
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: You're a xennial, sir Eniel?
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Yes, eighty two?
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I think, yeah, elder millennial like me.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Eighty like early eighties is xennial. That's what I am. Anyway,
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: So we're stuck right between generation.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: X and Yeah, I'm going to say it's a higher
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: number than in the mill beause I think a lot
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: of them like that. More than that you walks and ship.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: So we want to say, like.
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: What's a good guess then, like so to be clearly,
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: I ever like this.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: Like didn't see no opinion?
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: Oh oh, we have a lot of options.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Wait a minute, we have options.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: We have options.
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: No, you don't have options.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: You just need to pick the percentage you picked that
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: one option.
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: Well, you have one hundred options. The one we're looking
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: for is like they like, how many said they liked
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: it out of all that ship Because then there's.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: The YouTubers who are like I never saw it, let's watch.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: It, let's go with like lean do like thirty nine
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: in a row that said they liked it. Yeah, just
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: like because there's like five categories. See, I think all
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: the people.
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: Don't give it a shot.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: They don't need so many liked it.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: I'm scared.
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: They don't. They don't take anything from us if we
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: lose on it or Stevie, it's fine, sure, we're thirty yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: let me.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Let me chime in on this decision to thirty seven.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: Why yeah, you guys should the strategy.
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: We should go our points to the other team.
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: Gina and Stevie say, thirty seven percent of American millennials
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: liked the movie Star Wars the Empires in a row? Yeah, splatter, platter.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: What do you think is it higher or lower than
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: thirty seven percent?
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: It's gotta be higher, right, Yeah, it's got to be higher.
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: Yetta, you're higher, Yeah, I would hope.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, so you're locking in higher, yes, all right.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: The actual percentage of American millennials who said that they
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: liked Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back is fifty nine percent.
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: It makes sense.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: That's very much higher. So no point in Stevie, there
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: were seventeen or sorry, twenty two points out, but John
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: and Augie were absolutely correct that it was higher. They
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: have caught up. It is two points.
- 1:09:49Speaker 5: Well, we let you have someone because it was Star Wars.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: It's got down to these last two.
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: Give a Star Trek question, maybe U and we are.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Going to flip it over to splatter platter John and Augie.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: What is the correct percentage for this? According to a
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: March twenty twenty six poll, what percentage of American young
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: adults between the ages of eighteen and twenty nine say
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: that lust is the deadly sin they commit the most
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: of the seven deadly sins?
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: Hmmm?
- 1:10:24Speaker 5: Oh do you think of all the sins here?
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Sodomy one of them?
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: One of them.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I'm trying to remember seven.
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: What's in the box?
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: Cutting a line.
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: That's a deadly sign, not using your turn signal, not
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: rewinding your videotapes.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Dare Nobody is getting that anymore.
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: I know that's why, because we're all now, Oh.
- 1:11:03Speaker 7: God, okay, so percentage wise, fuck, it's I gotta say,
- 1:11:09Speaker 7: it's got to be like forty sick percent.
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: I want to agree with you. I think that the
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: article that I read is that that is with that
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: age group that is on the decline. My instinct was
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: to be in the the forties or thirties, So.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: So what if I go forty three a little closer
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: to the thirty.
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: All right, I'll allow it. Okay. I look, Hey, you've
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: been much more successful at this endeavor than I have,
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: So I'm gonna try.
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: On this show much more. Onie.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: It doesn't mean as he remembers any of it.
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm saying, it's experience that comes in one ear
- 1:11:49Speaker 7: out the other kind of situation.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: You're a hollow read my friend.
- 1:11:54Speaker 12: You have to just be.
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: Be the nature, but the wind? What am I saying?
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: Oh? Sorry, okay, forty three we're locking in forty three
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: percent Giraft stompers gene? Is it higher or lower than
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: forty three percent?
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Did these kids even have lost even know what lust
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: is anymore? They can't go outside, they can't get.
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: I feel like they would have greed more.
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: But that is what I was thinking.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: I was thinking sloths, So lower sloth sloth? Oh you're
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: thinking lower?
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: Yeah, don't you think I was thinking too?
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Yeah? I think it's a lower as well.
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: Lower. Please, mister Randolph.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Please are lower?
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: Say the Giraft stompers. The actual percentage of American young
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: adults between the ages of eighteen and twenty nine who
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: say that lust is the deadly sin they commit the
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: most of the seven deadly sins, sixteen percent. Wows get
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: a point.
- 1:12:55Speaker 12: But.
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: Does it say what they said the most?
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: Not especially that low. No, it's crazy to be fair,
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: lust was the highest of all.
- 1:13:04Speaker 5: That was the highest.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: Oh, most of them were with like ten or oh.
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: They're like, I'm a good boy, except for sixteen.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: All right, so it has come down to this our
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: last survey, and this time girafts stumpers, you will guess
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: the percentage. What percentage of American baby boomers, according to
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: a April twenty twenty six pole, say that they have
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: heard of the rapper ice cube?
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: These are grandparents, right?
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: What percentage of American baby boomers say that they've heard
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: of It's probably our parents.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: Your grandparents, my parents.
- 1:13:48Speaker 5: No, my dad's a boomer. He's seventy two seventies.
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: Boomers, sixty seventies boomers.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Okay, but they've heard of ice cube or iced tea.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: He's cute because I played n w A the fucking time.
- 1:14:06Speaker 5: My dad would make a pun, but would he actually
- 1:14:08Speaker 5: know who it is?
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Like?
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: No, know his name or be able to recognize his
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: like say his.
- 1:14:14Speaker 5: Song, or I don't know what the qualifications, just say
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: that they've heard of the just heard of him.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Okay, oh god, it's gotta be a good amount, but
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: not higher in half.
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: I don't think should we make it hard like forty
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: nine percent?
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Let's do it?
- 1:14:30Speaker 17: Yeah?
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: Do these guys say, did grass flatter? Platter? Your last
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: chance to get a point in this game?
- 1:14:42Speaker 5: Jump on that grenade?
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: Is it higher or is it lower than forty nine?
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: Dude?
- 1:14:46Speaker 14: What do you?
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Man?
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: Fuck?
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: That's so brutal.
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: I don't think you should all call her parents live
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: and see if they said.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: About us.
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: He's cube, it's my favorite drink.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: I'm thinking I'm thinking.
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: Low.
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: He said it slow, run, not ran?
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: Lower, maybe lower. I don't know what are you thinking?
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: Do you?
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: Do you know enough about people and that age group?
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: I mean, I you know that's the demo at work,
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: but it's mostly.
- 1:15:42Speaker 6: Man right, Like I guess it's word.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Buck you from choosing forty nine.
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: By the way, just.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Let's choose how you lower?
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: Like you might as well just fucking said fifty.
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: Yeah, might as well?
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: So diadly, I'm gonna say lower, Okay, lower, it is
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: all right. I trust he's better at me than this,
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: so it is done.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: Uh splire players say lower and draft Snumber forty nine percent.
- 1:16:18Speaker 9: Right.
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: The actual percentage of American baby boomers who say that
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: they have heard of the rapper ice Cube ninety three percent,
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: which means no points for either team. Wow is over
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: and at three points to two, our winners are the
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: Giraffe stomper.
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: What today is a good day? Didn't even have to
- 1:16:42Speaker 5: use my ak.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: Thanks ice Cube, Congratulations Giraft stumpers, you have won this
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: episode five episode points to one. Wow.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: What good team teammates all Jean Wells, we did the
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: original dressed all right.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: I want to thank John F. G Wells for being
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: here and having Yes. I hope you had as much
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: fun as.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: We had having you on Superty Duper.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: And I know you are currently in a transition. But
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: where can people find the Fink Show if they should
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: want to go and find it to listen to it.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: The best way to find us is patreon dot com
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: slash Fink Show. All of the live episodes are there
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: right now and then they're free after a week, so
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: you can just see if you want to, you know,
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: get on the day of kind of things because we're
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: five days a week and then we do lots of
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: gaming too. We're on the Diablo wagon. Past couple of
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: days we had the on the LN eye peeps on there,
- 1:17:56Speaker 4: so it was on the diabl and I yeah, So
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: we're getting used to this crazy season, which is way
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: too short for all the changes that happened. But between
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: that and you know, Fink Show wackiness, that's that's pretty
