- 0:00Speaker 1: Here we are, guys, our last break of the day
- 0:02Speaker 1: on this Wednesday. It's been a great day. Thank you
- 0:05Speaker 1: all for listening. Of course, Steve take us home with
- 0:08Speaker 1: some Hey you know what, man, my clothes remarks. This
- 0:10Speaker 1: is gonna be really good because it's something I've grown
- 0:13Speaker 1: to learn. Here is one of the things that I
- 0:18Speaker 1: finally learned. It took me a long time, but I
- 0:22Speaker 1: finally got it. And I wish I had learned this younger.
- 0:25Speaker 1: So I'm sharing it to everybody that's younger than me,
- 0:27Speaker 1: which is most people that listen to this show. I
- 0:31Speaker 1: have learned to not care what they say. I just
- 0:37Speaker 1: learned not to care, man, because man, I am telling you, man,
- 0:41Speaker 1: it is amazing how people are, especially now with social
- 0:47Speaker 1: media and all this here and blogs and all this here.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It's crazy. Man. Man, do you know that I have
- 0:54Speaker 1: been cool with people that I have been loyal with them,
- 1:00Speaker 1: set with a man, chopped it up with him, smoked
- 1:02Speaker 1: cigars with him, all this, and they heard something about me,
- 1:10Speaker 1: and without coming to me to get the truth. I
- 1:13Speaker 1: started noticing little funny ways about him. And you know what,
- 1:17Speaker 1: I used to try to pick and dig and figure
- 1:20Speaker 1: out what it was, and sit them down and have
- 1:22Speaker 1: conversations with people like that. And every time I did that,
- 1:27Speaker 1: somebody said, well, I ain't know you was like this.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I said, like what, Well, you know they say you
- 1:33Speaker 1: did this or that? Who said that? You know? You
- 1:37Speaker 1: know they say, I said, brother, that ain't even true.
- 1:41Speaker 1: But instead of you coming to me as a friend
- 1:45Speaker 1: or somebody that I'm associated with or cool with, you
- 1:48Speaker 1: just wanted to feel that way about me anyway, which
- 1:53Speaker 1: lets me know that you wasn't genuine in the first place.
- 1:58Speaker 1: You was around me because it was comfortable and convenient
- 2:01Speaker 1: for you, and you thought if you stay that way,
- 2:05Speaker 1: eventually you'd be able to get something out of the relationship. Well, no,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I got something out of it. I found out how
- 2:12Speaker 1: you was. And I used to chase people down to
- 2:16Speaker 1: straighten this out or or look for I stopped doing that.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I don't have no rebuttal for you. I have no
- 2:22Speaker 1: rebuttal for anybody about what you think or feel about me,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and y'all, the sooner you can get that through your head,
- 2:30Speaker 1: you can get that through your skin and you'll breathe better.
- 2:33Speaker 1: You know, your skin is the largest organ on your body.
- 2:36Speaker 1: It takes in more things than your mouth takes in.
- 2:39Speaker 1: It takes in pollution, toxes, air, fresh air, takes in breathing,
- 2:43Speaker 1: It takes in sunlight, vitamin deal absorb minerals and toxins
- 2:47Speaker 1: around you. It absorbs a good things around you, floral
- 2:51Speaker 1: sense everything. So as soon as you can get that
- 2:54Speaker 1: out your head, you can get a lot of that
- 2:56Speaker 1: from under your skin. You can't get under my skin,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and no more. You know why, because I stop caring
- 3:04Speaker 1: and trying to chase down and prove myself to somebody.
- 3:07Speaker 1: For those that love you, no explanation necessary. For those
- 3:11Speaker 1: that hate you, no explanation acceptable. Man, I learned that
- 3:15Speaker 1: I wish I had learned it a long time ago.
- 3:18Speaker 1: So if you are younger, put that in your game,
- 3:20Speaker 1: in your game book, your playbook. Learn how to not
- 3:24Speaker 1: care what they say. And you know who you should
- 3:29Speaker 1: care about who says something. People who genuinely love you,
- 3:34Speaker 1: care about you, pray for you, pull for you, encourage you.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Then you should care about what they say. Everybody else, Hey, man,
- 3:44Speaker 1: if ain't nobody came to your rescue, if ain't nobody
- 3:48Speaker 1: stood with you in the storm, if ain't nobody got
- 3:51Speaker 1: back to back to you and swung no blows with you.
- 3:54Speaker 1: If ain't nobody climbed down in the hole you was
- 3:57Speaker 1: in and say, hey, man, I don't care what's happening.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I'm with you. If you ain't got that from them,
- 4:03Speaker 1: what do it matter what they think or say? Them
- 4:06Speaker 1: the only people that I care about, and that's only
- 4:09Speaker 1: a few people. And I'm gonna tell you right now
- 4:12Speaker 1: on the reil. Look, I know my children love me.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I'm clear on that. I know for a fact that
- 4:21Speaker 1: my brother and my sisters love me. My brother that's
- 4:25Speaker 1: living turk, climb down in the hole with me, my
- 4:28Speaker 1: sister Mona pray for me. Marjorie Harvey is the one
- 4:33Speaker 1: person that saw me get myself in a situation and
- 4:38Speaker 1: climb down in the hole with me and stood right there,
- 4:42Speaker 1: right there. It ain't a lot of them people, man,
- 4:46Speaker 1: So everybody else, man can really go on about your
- 4:48Speaker 1: business and put that in your scope of things. If
- 4:51Speaker 1: a person is not pulling for you, cheering for you,
- 4:54Speaker 1: encouraging you, praying for you, what does it matter what
- 4:59Speaker 1: they say? And if you pay close attention to it,
- 5:03Speaker 1: the people that love you care for you, pull for you,
- 5:06Speaker 1: cheer for you, encourage you, and pray for you. They're
- 5:09Speaker 1: not the ones talking about you. It's them other people,
- 5:13Speaker 1: them fair weather friends, you know them, you know them, coworkers,
- 5:18Speaker 1: you got, you know, ones you thought you was cool with.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You know that sit around in the circle and talk
- 5:23Speaker 1: about everybody with you. You know them people. Everybody knows
- 5:27Speaker 1: somebody like that. Hey, man, listen, learn how to get
- 5:34Speaker 1: those people out your head so then you don't allow
- 5:38Speaker 1: them under your skin. Man. I wish I knew this
- 5:43Speaker 1: years ago. I wish I understood it, man. And you
- 5:47Speaker 1: know one thing I'm gonna work on this year in
- 5:49Speaker 1: my clothes remarks, I'm gonna work on being more. But
- 5:54Speaker 1: you know I'm not that way, you know, like I
- 5:56Speaker 1: admire people who are well spoken and have the vote
- 6:00Speaker 1: vocabulary and the dissertation. I was gonna try to work
- 6:03Speaker 1: and be there. But then you know what I said, Steve,
- 6:06Speaker 1: just do you doog, Just be who you are. You
- 6:09Speaker 1: ain't got to go and be all that. They are
- 6:12Speaker 1: who they are, and God made you clearly who you are,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and I'm fine with that. Y'all have a great day today.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Talk to God today. He would absolutely love to hear
- 6:20Speaker 1: from me. Don't call me. I'm gonna be fishing
