- 2:35Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sure everybody's still unpacking the weekend. We'll
- 2:38Speaker 3: continue to do that. Mississippi State, will there be a
- 2:41Speaker 3: quarterback change this week if Kamario Taylor can't go?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Will they go with Billy Puckett? Will it be A.J.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Swan?
- 2:48Speaker 3: Is he healthy enough to go? We'll talk to David
- 2:50Speaker 3: Murray about that. Ole Miss, with a heartbreaking loss, fell
- 2:53Speaker 3: way too far behind. Just couldn't close the deal there,
- 2:58Speaker 3: as now they've got to get ready for another big
- 2:59Speaker 3: weekend coming up, as Mississippi State does and everybody does.
- 3:02Speaker 3: We've got the Week 9 college football slate they're going
- 3:05Speaker 3: to get to, and, of course, a lot of NFL
- 3:08Speaker 3: and other things as well. How about your Week 9 slate?
- 3:12Speaker 3: Highlighted by the cocktail party.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Florida.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Georgia that'll be at 2 30 on abc you've got
- 3:18Speaker 3: uh arizona taking on texas tech texas tech suffers a
- 3:22Speaker 3: loss over the weekend and now the big 12 is
- 3:25Speaker 3: upside down wisconsin iowa that'll be on fox at 11
- 3:29Speaker 3: o'clock northwestern versus oregon on peacock at 2 30 and
- 3:34Speaker 3: oregon has already fired an assistant coach this week today
- 3:37Speaker 3: or yesterday minnesota versus indiana that'll be at 2 30
- 3:40Speaker 3: on cbs houston check that utah versus Cincinnati. That'll be
- 3:45Speaker 3: at 245 on ESPN this coming weekend. South Carolina, Oklahoma,
- 3:49Speaker 3: that'll be at 315 on the SEC Network. These are
- 3:54Speaker 3: the biggest games that are out there. Clemson, South Carolina,
- 3:57Speaker 3: I would argue that. That's a 6 o'clock game on
- 3:59Speaker 3: the ACC Network. Ohio State, SC, that'll be on NBC
- 4:03Speaker 3: at 630. Lincoln Raleigh's in trouble after a loss this
- 4:06Speaker 3: past weekend. Miami versus North Carolina at 630 on ABC.
- 4:10Speaker 3: All right, let's go to David. who was on line
- 4:13Speaker 3: one on the Mississippi Sports Medicine call line.
- 4:14Speaker 2: David, welcome in, sir. How are you?
- 4:16Speaker 5: Hey, Jake.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Hey, David.
- 4:18Speaker 5: How you doing, man? I was just telling B that
- 4:21Speaker 5: I enjoyed the Brandon Bulldog game so much Friday night
- 4:25Speaker 5: that I even got up Saturday morning and watched the
- 4:29Speaker 5: whole thing on rewind again.
- 4:31Speaker 2: There you go. There you go.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Just a great shout out to Coach Clinton, all that staff,
- 4:38Speaker 5: all the players. Jake, whatever they did at halftime, I'd
- 4:43Speaker 5: like to send a message to Coach Clinton, please don't stop.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it was definitely a tell of two halves.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Second half and score of what, 35 points?
- 4:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it was definitely a tell of two halves for sure.
- 4:56Speaker 5: And not this 35 points against anybody, that's one of
- 5:01Speaker 5: the most premier programs in the state, in my opinion,
- 5:06Speaker 5: and I think a lot of people's opinions.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Oh, there's no doubt. Yeah, I mean, look, Oak Grove's
- 5:10Speaker 3: not going anywhere, and Brandon could see them again here
- 5:12Speaker 3: in a few weeks in the playoffs. I mean, Drew
- 5:14Speaker 3: Causey does a great job with that football team, and
- 5:17Speaker 3: they get a couple things fixed.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I mean, they could play for state. I mean, they
- 5:20Speaker 2: could win the South. They're very good.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Oh, absolutely. Jake, just one more question. What do you
- 5:26Speaker 5: think Tyson's chances are for being Mr. Football 7A in
- 5:30Speaker 5: the state of Mississippi this year?
- 5:33Speaker 2: Thank you, David.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I'll answer that after this call, and I appreciate your
- 5:36Speaker 3: call as always.
- 5:40Speaker 6: 601-897-1059.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Brandon gets by Oak Grove this past week. Of course,
- 5:43Speaker 3: we'll have a lot of high school football this week.
- 5:46Speaker 3: As always, Tyson Robinson, 294 yards on the ground and
- 5:51Speaker 3: four touchdowns. And as far as Mr. 7A, I think
- 5:57Speaker 3: you should get it. I mean, the guy's unbelievable. And,
- 5:59Speaker 3: you know, there's some other guys out there that are worthy,
- 6:02Speaker 3: but I think Tyson is going to, you know, have
- 6:04Speaker 3: his name right there in the hat.
- 6:06Speaker 2: When you look at.
- 6:07Speaker 3: what he has done in his career, not only his
- 6:09Speaker 3: career this year, Brandon Thumpsoe Grove on Friday night. By
- 6:13Speaker 3: the way, did we get the walk-in today?
- 6:15Speaker 2: Okay, I got a walk-in.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Brandon did something I've never seen. Well, I'm sure people
- 6:19Speaker 3: have done it. I've never seen it. So that was
- 6:22Speaker 3: a very tight game at halftime. And I think Brandon
- 6:25Speaker 3: may have actually been down 14-7 in that game at
- 6:27Speaker 3: the half. Teams go to the half. They come back
- 6:30Speaker 3: out to warm up. Oak Grove comes out, warms up.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Band leaves the field. Oak Grove's out there getting ready
- 6:36Speaker 3: for the kickoff. Dogs aren't even out there. And here
- 6:39Speaker 3: they come sprinting out of the locker room. Coaches yelling
- 6:43Speaker 3: at the players. So obviously they had a talking to
- 6:45Speaker 3: that lasted a little longer than it probably should have.
- 6:48Speaker 2: But they didn't stretch.
- 6:49Speaker 3: They ran straight out on the field and then dropped
- 6:51Speaker 3: 30-something points in the second half. It was pretty impressive.
- 6:54Speaker 3: I've never seen a team not warm up. But what
- 6:56Speaker 3: does Deion Sanders say? Cheetahs don't need to stretch.
- 6:59Speaker 2: They just run. All right.
- 7:00Speaker 3: So what was your takeaway? So what's the vibe today?
- 7:04Speaker 3: State fans ready to get Levy out of here? What's
- 7:06Speaker 3: going on on the Matt Wyatt show? That's always where
- 7:08Speaker 3: I like to go. That's the heart, it feels like,
- 7:10Speaker 3: of the state fan base.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't listen much, but it seems like on
- 7:18Speaker 4: the text line, yeah, we're back into more people than
- 7:25Speaker 4: in a while. They're done with Jeff Levy.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Where are you on this, and where should people really be? Meaning,
- 7:35Speaker 3: does he get any reprieve because of the injuries? I mean,
- 7:40Speaker 3: you're playing with half an arm on offense. Or is
- 7:44Speaker 3: he responsible for that? I mean, there's blame to go
- 7:47Speaker 3: around everywhere. But what's the sensible thing on this?
- 7:52Speaker 4: I don't know. You've got one player that makes the
- 7:53Speaker 4: entire thing go. You are one player dependent. So without him,
- 8:00Speaker 4: I don't know what you expected to begin with once again.
- 8:05Speaker 4: said it before Camario Taylor got there. I'll say it
- 8:08Speaker 4: again once Camario Taylor's. Remember who you are. You're Mississippi State.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Stop acting like, I can't believe this. We're so offended.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Fire the coach, whether he's there or not. This one
- 8:23Speaker 4: player that we're so dependent on, plays or not, Jeff
- 8:27Speaker 4: Levy's garbage. He only won three more games last year
- 8:30Speaker 4: than he did his first season, and that wasn't enough.
- 8:33Speaker 4: He blew a couple of games. Just remember who you are.
- 8:38Speaker 4: You're Mississippi State. You are not 1997 Nebraska. Stop acting
- 8:43Speaker 4: like you deserve anything. Or you should be higher than
- 8:48Speaker 4: you are. Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 2: You're where you are.
- 8:51Speaker 4: You got this generational talent. I get the frustration that
- 8:55Speaker 4: he's not on the field, but hey. You know what
- 9:00Speaker 4: to do. Like Rez Dogg said, who was it? Was
- 9:02Speaker 4: it Rez Dogg? He said there are a few, or
- 9:05Speaker 4: maybe it was JC. They said they found that there's
- 9:09Speaker 4: few things harder than being a Mississippi State fan. Well,
- 9:13Speaker 4: then you know it, so you know how to deal
- 9:15Speaker 4: with it.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:16Speaker 4: And the way you deal with it is to say, oh,
- 9:19Speaker 4: it's baseball season.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Yeah, you are what you are, right? That doesn't mean
- 9:23Speaker 3: you shouldn't want more, but it's like being a Saints fan,
- 9:27Speaker 3: Dolphins fan. Pick any of those teams in that level.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Speaking of ResDog, Jake, glad you're at work today. What
- 9:34Speaker 3: is it going to take to get Flebby fired? Tennessee
- 9:37Speaker 3: Tech is pumped about getting their first P4 win ever.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Oh, now, okay. You know what? We keep reaching new levels,
- 9:45Speaker 4: and now the level is you've written Tennessee Tech as
- 9:47Speaker 4: a loss. Interesting.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:49Speaker 3: No, it's crazy times right now. Hey, we're brought to
- 9:52Speaker 3: you by the Gurkha Cigar Lounge at Ameristar Casino. Get

- 9:59Speaker 3: your house. You could have one when Tennessee Tech gets
- 10:01Speaker 3: their first powerful win, Rez Dog. Gurkha Cigar Lounge at Ameristar.
- 10:05Speaker 3: David Murray will talk Mississippi State coming up in 20 minutes.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Turning to sports.
- 10:08Speaker 1: With Jake Wimberly on the afternoon drive. One of the
- 10:11Speaker 1: last pure pleasures I have left in my life. Yeah,
- 10:14Speaker 1: maybe you ought to get a life first, okay? On
- 10:16Speaker 1: ESPN 105.9 The Zone and online at TheZone1059.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Com.

- 11:03Speaker 3: on the Cabo Maloney's text line, ResDog, Levy is currently
- 11:08Speaker 3: 11 and infinity. Who wouldn't want to keep that? After all,
- 11:13Speaker 3: we are MSU and shouldn't even expect to be relevant. Well, no,
- 11:16Speaker 3: you should expect to be relevant. And, man, there's just
- 11:21Speaker 3: so much with this.
- 11:23Speaker 2: So much. And I think Beef said it best.
- 11:26Speaker 3: When your best player is out and your second best
- 11:29Speaker 3: player is on half a wheel and you got three
- 11:32Speaker 3: of your best defensive players out, there's just this– This
- 11:36Speaker 3: is a microcosm of how little depth teams have this year.
- 11:40Speaker 3: And moving forward, with the transfer portal because of money
- 11:43Speaker 3: and you don't have enough money, and there's a significant
- 11:47Speaker 3: drop in 1A to 1B, and then 1B to 2B.
- 11:52Speaker 3: There's just a significant drop here. All right, college football
- 11:55Speaker 3: bracketology courtesy of Andy Staples. He has Miami No. 1
- 12:00Speaker 3: if the tournament were today, the national tournament, Ohio State 2,
- 12:04Speaker 3: Indiana 3, and Georgia 4. 5 versus 12, UCLA versus
- 12:10Speaker 3: New Mexico. Do you have that on your college football card?
- 12:14Speaker 3: UCLA versus New Mexico. 6-11, Utah versus Texas. And that
- 12:18Speaker 3: would be Utah hosting Texas. 8 versus 9, BYU versus Northwestern.
- 12:24Speaker 3: And 7-10, Kentucky versus Florida. This is crazy. We're in
- 12:29Speaker 3: a crazy, crazy time. Hey, you've also got next week,
- 12:33Speaker 3: November 7th, the television on.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Docket is out.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Texas versus Missouri will be at 11 o'clock on ESPN.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Arkansas versus Auburn will be at 11.45 on SEC Network.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Texas A & M, South Carolina at 2 o'clock on ESPN.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Alabama LSU at 2.30 on ABC or the SEC Network.
- 12:59Speaker 3: That's going to be ABC. That will be opposite of
- 13:02Speaker 3: Mississippi State Vanderbilt. at 3.15 on the SEC Network. Kentucky
- 13:09Speaker 3: versus Tennessee on ESPN at 5.15. Georgia Ole Miss is
- 13:14Speaker 3: set for 6.30 primetime in Oxford, ABC. And Oklahoma, Florida, 6.45
- 13:19Speaker 3: on the SEC Network. So if you're a Mississippi State fan,
- 13:23Speaker 3: you're kind of sandwiched right there in that middle section.
- 13:26Speaker 3: If you're Ole Miss, you're back on primetime, ABC, that night.
- 13:30Speaker 3: How much football did you get a chance to watch
- 13:31Speaker 3: a lot of college, or did you just kind of
- 13:32Speaker 3: peek at it? You didn't watch any of it?
- 13:35Speaker 6: Very little.
- 13:37Speaker 7: Very little.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Did you watch any of the state game? Watched the
- 13:40Speaker 2: first quarter. And then you're just like, nope, not enough.
- 13:45Speaker 2: It was bad. It wasn't good. It's bad football. It
- 13:49Speaker 2: was really, really bad football. Andre from Jackson.
- 13:53Speaker 3: I love MSU, and we are 8-0 in September over
- 13:59Speaker 3: the last two years. Andre from Jackson. What do you
- 14:02Speaker 3: think about Andre's spin on that? He said, we are
- 14:05Speaker 3: 8-0 in September.
- 14:07Speaker 4: There you go.
- 14:08Speaker 2: You find something good.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Hold on to September.
- 14:11Speaker 6: See?
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yes.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Hold on to September. What if State did a shirt
- 14:14Speaker 3: that says, hold on to September?
- 14:17Speaker 4: Hold on to September. Eternally September. September forever. Any of these.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Any of these would work.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Andre just gave the best spin Mississippi State fans could
- 14:27Speaker 3: have right there. We're 8-0 in September the last two years.
- 14:30Speaker 3: It's all how you look at it, right? It's all
- 14:32Speaker 3: about perception. Jason and Flagstaff, let's get ahead of the curve.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Fire Levy now so we can get our choice of
- 14:41Speaker 3: FCS-level coordinators, coordinator to be the next head coach, since
- 14:45Speaker 3: that's all that would take the 13th out of 16
- 14:47Speaker 3: SEC teams in NIL spending in the spending job. I
- 14:52Speaker 3: don't know that that's all you're going to get. But
- 14:56Speaker 3: you are– so, look, you are in a unique situation–
- 15:00Speaker 3: Everybody is at this time of the year. Coaches are
- 15:01Speaker 3: already getting fired. Dave Aranda let go of Baylor. You've
- 15:05Speaker 3: got Maryland let go of Loxley. So you've got teams
- 15:08Speaker 3: that are starting to drop coaches. And the question is,
- 15:12Speaker 3: what are you going to do with them? Brandon Marcello
- 15:14Speaker 3: reports the bowl system is not going anywhere inside bowl
- 15:17Speaker 3: games scramble as executives await the 10 FBS conference plans
- 15:22Speaker 3: for the 2027 season. We will get into this at
- 15:24Speaker 3: some point this week. Churro, MSU football. and the SEC
- 15:31Speaker 3: is like single-ply toilet paper in a five-star hotel.
- 15:35Speaker 2: What do you think? Is that a good analogy?
- 15:38Speaker 4: I'll go with it.
- 15:40Speaker 3: What's bad for MSU in their fan base is it
- 15:44Speaker 3: feels like it's Groundhog Day, right? I mean, Andre just referenced,
- 15:50Speaker 3: and I didn't think about it, they're undefeated in September
- 15:51Speaker 3: the last two years. They're almost winless in October the
- 15:54Speaker 3: last two years. Do they have a shot in hell
- 15:58Speaker 3: at beating Texas?
- 15:59Speaker 4: No.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Not at all.
- 16:02Speaker 3: It's not happening. There's just no way. Will Arch Manning
- 16:06Speaker 3: look like a Heisman candidate Saturday?
- 16:11Speaker 4: Chances are good. Chances seem good right now.
- 16:15Speaker 3: So they'll be back. Robbie Falk on X. Jeff Levy
- 16:19Speaker 3: confirms that Jalen Smith is out for the year. He's
- 16:22Speaker 3: already had knee surgery or surgery on his knee. No
- 16:24Speaker 3: update on Kamario Taylor. They said they'll know in the
- 16:26Speaker 3: next 48 hours or so. A lot of people asking
- 16:29Speaker 3: the question, should they have played him?
- 16:31Speaker 2: Was it premature?
- 16:32Speaker 3: You know, the turf toe thing is a pain tolerance, too.
- 16:36Speaker 3: How much pain can you hold? That doesn't mean Kamaru
- 16:38Speaker 3: Taylor is weak. But that thing obviously was giving problems.
- 16:42Speaker 3: I don't know that he's going to be healthy the
- 16:43Speaker 3: rest of the year, though.
- 16:46Speaker 4: No, probably not. I mean, we keep talking about this,
- 16:49Speaker 4: but it's simply... It's still fresh on my mind because
- 16:53Speaker 4: it's just the latest example that we've seen, and it
- 16:56Speaker 4: was just last season. We moved to the NFL, which
- 16:59Speaker 4: the NFL, okay, tippy-top level. Stakes are much higher. There's
- 17:04Speaker 4: more money. There's a professional atmosphere. If you have an
- 17:08Speaker 4: NFL quarterback, Brock Purdy, missed two games, tried to come back,
- 17:14Speaker 4: re-injured it, missed six more games. You just don't know
- 17:19Speaker 4: with these things.
- 17:21Speaker 3: And odds are, and I'm by far pulling for this,
- 17:25Speaker 3: but just wondering what you just said. He obviously re-injured
- 17:28Speaker 3: it or he wouldn't have come out. So if you
- 17:31Speaker 3: go by that small window of projection, he may not
- 17:37Speaker 3: come back the rest of the year. I mean, literally,
- 17:39Speaker 3: he may come back the Egg Bowl, maybe, but it's
- 17:43Speaker 3: got to be somebody else. Let's see, ResDog, I just
- 17:45Speaker 3: ran my truck into the ditch on purpose. I hope
- 17:49Speaker 3: he's okay. You think he's all right?
- 17:52Speaker 4: Yeah, he'll just get another one. It'll be fine.
- 17:54Speaker 2: That's right.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Tyler Horka says Steve Sarkeesian on Mississippi State is, quote,
- 17:58Speaker 3: a dangerous football team, and he wouldn't want to be
- 18:02Speaker 3: anywhere else on Halloween night than DKR with Texas trying
- 18:05Speaker 3: to keep it rolling and beat the Bulldogs.
- 18:07Speaker 2: So he's trying to play it up. He's saying, hey, look,
- 18:09Speaker 2: they're a dangerous team. It's Halloween. Weird things happen. I'm
- 18:12Speaker 2: glad we got it here.
- 18:14Speaker 3: But I don't think State's going to– do you know
- 18:17Speaker 3: the line on this game?
- 18:18Speaker 2: I haven't looked at it.
- 18:18Speaker 3: We'll pull the lines. Whatever it is, it's probably way
- 18:20Speaker 3: too low.
- 18:22Speaker 2: All right.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Beeb, I know you're going to enjoy this one if
- 18:25Speaker 3: you haven't seen it. So Baylor is looking for a
- 18:27Speaker 3: head football coach. We'll get into the Baylor search. I
- 18:29Speaker 3: want to look at the candidates that they're putting on
- 18:31Speaker 3: the Baylor tag.
- 18:33Speaker 2: And again, I.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Don't pull for coaches to get fired. I don't think
- 18:38Speaker 3: Jeff Levy is going anywhere. But I want to see
- 18:40Speaker 3: what the pundits are saying for Baylor and kind of
- 18:43Speaker 3: cross-reference that to what Mississippi State possibly could get if
- 18:45Speaker 3: they go a different direction.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Baylor looking for a football coach. Robert Griffin III, RG3.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Who is a legend at Baylor, Heisman Trophy winner, says
- 18:56Speaker 3: he is 100% interested in the opening at Baylor for
- 18:59Speaker 3: the head coaching job. Quote, if Baylor wants to get
- 19:02Speaker 3: back to winning and have a university that isn't just
- 19:04Speaker 3: respectable on the football field, but the fans can be
- 19:07Speaker 3: proud of, they need people who know what it looks
- 19:10Speaker 3: like to win at Baylor.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I'm that guy. What do you think? RG3 publicly saying, hey,
- 19:16Speaker 2: I want the job.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Is there anything that this dude's not going to stump for?
- 19:22Speaker 4: I think it was maybe a month ago, he was
- 19:25Speaker 4: on his own podcast talking about he was including himself
- 19:30Speaker 4: in a list of quarterbacks that needed to be called by,
- 19:35Speaker 4: I think he was talking about the Falcons at the
- 19:37Speaker 4: time when they were trying to figure out their situation.
- 19:40Speaker 4: He stumped for including himself. He was given a list
- 19:44Speaker 4: of quarterbacks, Cam Newton, okay, all that stuff. He included himself.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Now he's now he's stumping for a coaching job yeah
- 19:52Speaker 4: dude continue to do your little podcasts and enjoy the
- 19:58Speaker 4: past that you had you can't play football anymore you
- 20:04Speaker 4: couldn't play at the last few years of your career
- 20:06Speaker 4: in the NFL stop.
- 20:08Speaker 3: This Possum Neck Joe, glad you guys were not around
- 20:11Speaker 3: in 1776. We would all have different accents. Wait, I'm confused.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Of course, what's he talking about? People giving up or what?
- 20:23Speaker 4: We wouldn't have won our independence.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Because with the people, like, on the text
- 20:27Speaker 2: line and stuff?
- 20:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 2: We'd have given up?
- 20:29Speaker 4: By the way, the line on that game, text is
- 20:31Speaker 4: minus 20 and a hook. 20 and a hook.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Also, Ole Miss running back Kewon Lacey will miss the

- 21:03Speaker 7: Do you stay up at night thinking about the lack
- 21:05Speaker 7: of push from your team's offensive line? Do you spill
- 21:08Speaker 7: your Dr. Pepper arguing with your TV because pundits are
- 21:11Speaker 7: torching your defense?
- 21:12Speaker 1: You're not crazy.
- 21:13Speaker 2: You're a fan.
- 21:14Speaker 7: And no college football fan can fan to their fullest
- 21:16Speaker 7: without the bold, one-of-a-kind taste of Dr.
- 21:19Speaker 6: Pepper.
- 21:19Speaker 7: It won't fix any.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Of the problems we previously stated, but it's delicious.
- 21:24Speaker 7: And drinking it at a tailgate will make you look
- 21:25Speaker 7: like a ball knower, which is a great consolation prize
- 21:28Speaker 7: for the lack of push your offensive line gets.
- 21:31Speaker 2: College football.
- 21:32Speaker 7: It's a Pepper thing.
- 21:33Speaker 1: It's time to get back in the game with Jake

- 22:42Speaker 3: on your radio as Mississippi State gets ready after another
- 22:45Speaker 3: tough weekend to head to Texas this weekend.
- 22:47Speaker 2: David, welcome in, sir. How are you?
- 22:50Speaker 6: It's Monday. Do you know who your quarterbacks are? I
- 22:52Speaker 6: guess is the best way to put it. After this
- 22:55Speaker 6: morning's press conference with Jeff Levy, he will not come
- 23:00Speaker 6: out and say it and would only mention that the
- 23:07Speaker 6: next 48 hours will be critical about the status of
- 23:10Speaker 6: Camario Taylor. But I have a hard time believing Camario
- 23:13Speaker 6: plays this weekend at Texas. So now it comes down
- 23:16Speaker 6: to do they run Billy Puckett back out there? Do
- 23:19Speaker 6: they get A.J. Swan, his first action, not just of
- 23:23Speaker 6: the season, but at Mississippi State, period? Some combination of both,
- 23:26Speaker 6: or is there any sort of realistic idea that Taylor
- 23:29Speaker 6: could play limited snaps at Texas? And by the way,
- 23:32Speaker 6: I had to look it up to make sure for myself,
- 23:34Speaker 6: but Texas has artificial turf, which is doubly not good
- 23:39Speaker 6: on a turf-toe-foot situation that he's dealing with. So just
- 23:43Speaker 6: throw that into your calculations as well.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Yeah, David, you know, there's a pain tolerance, or at
- 23:48Speaker 3: least that's what the medical people say that comes with
- 23:50Speaker 3: turf toe. And that doesn't mean that, you know, Camaro
- 23:52Speaker 3: Taylor is mentally or physically weak. I mean, it's just,
- 23:54Speaker 3: can you, can your body, you know, how much pain
- 23:58Speaker 3: can your body stand on that? And, you know, B
- 24:01Speaker 3: and I were talking about, you know, Brock Purdy in
- 24:03Speaker 3: the NFL. He had a couple of years ago or two,
- 24:06Speaker 3: a year ago or two years ago, he had this
- 24:07Speaker 3: and was out a couple of weeks, tried it, had
- 24:09Speaker 3: to come back off the field.
- 24:10Speaker 2: He was out four weeks.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I mean, this is a situation that I don't, you know,
- 24:14Speaker 3: envy Jeff Levy being in because Kamara Taylor may be
- 24:17Speaker 3: done the rest of the year.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I mean, he may come back, you know, in two weeks.
- 24:19Speaker 2: We don't know.
- 24:20Speaker 3: He's got to find an answer at quarterback. And, you know,
- 24:24Speaker 3: I don't know that it's Billy Puckett. And we'll see
- 24:26Speaker 3: if it's A.J.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Swan.
- 24:27Speaker 3: But he's got to do something here because this offense
- 24:29Speaker 3: has gone, I mean, really just kaput the last two weeks.
- 24:34Speaker 6: Well, trying to wrap it up on Taylor as of today,
- 24:39Speaker 6: in retrospect, of course, he shouldn't have played Saturday. But
- 24:42Speaker 6: you couldn't know it until he tried to play. I'm
- 24:45Speaker 6: not getting on Levy. for playing him because I guarantee
- 24:48Speaker 6: that Taylor was practically demanding he be allowed to play.
- 24:53Speaker 6: And if he did, that means that the medical staff
- 24:54Speaker 6: signed off and said he's not going to make it
- 24:56Speaker 6: any worse. Well, but he did. And you could tell
- 25:01Speaker 6: on the third series, it was eerily similar to the play,
- 25:04Speaker 6: which told you, you know, that he wasn't himself against
- 25:06Speaker 6: Alabama when he had a scramble to the right cut
- 25:10Speaker 6: and all of a sudden stumbled. it was almost the
- 25:13Speaker 6: same identical thing this past weekend. He was scrambling on
- 25:15Speaker 6: his last play, opening to his right, cut, and stumbled.
- 25:19Speaker 6: And that just means that no matter how much pain
- 25:22Speaker 6: you can tolerate, when you slam that foot down, you're
- 25:26Speaker 6: going to react. Yes, he has the arm strength to
- 25:29Speaker 6: make things happen in a pocket if he's allowed to
- 25:31Speaker 6: set up, but he's just not going to be allowed
- 25:34Speaker 6: to set up. That's just all it comes down to.
- 25:38Speaker 6: And defenses know it. Now, I'll say this for Oklahoma.
- 25:42Speaker 6: They didn't do a lot of blitzing. Once Camario was
- 25:45Speaker 6: out of the game, he took three sacks there in
- 25:46Speaker 6: his three series. They just kind of played it straight
- 25:50Speaker 6: and only sacked Puckett once, but there was plenty of pressure.
- 25:53Speaker 6: So I think that stat is kind of misleading from Saturday. Texas,
- 25:59Speaker 6: I didn't get to watch all the game with Ole Miss,
- 26:00Speaker 6: but I've seen enough games they've played this year. When
- 26:02Speaker 6: they want to dial up the pressure on defense, they
- 26:05Speaker 6: can absolutely do it with their personnel. So now you
- 26:08Speaker 6: just cannot have an immobile quarterback back there unless he's
- 26:11Speaker 6: somebody who can get the ball out really quick, and
- 26:14Speaker 6: that is not Billy Puck's strength.
- 26:17Speaker 3: David Murray, make sure to get him on X, and,
- 26:19Speaker 3: of course, you can check him out at jeanspage247sports. com, Monday
- 26:22Speaker 3: edition of the program. So, David, where should Mississippi State
- 26:27Speaker 3: fans be with this? Because there's so much frustration. I'm
- 26:31Speaker 3: not one that ever cheers for a coach to be fired.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I know there's the fringe fans say, hey, he needs
- 26:36Speaker 3: to go. talking about Jeff Levy, I look at the
- 26:38Speaker 3: situation and say, hey, look, this is going on around
- 26:41Speaker 3: the country. This is not a pass. I mean, you
- 26:43Speaker 3: look at Ohio State, they lost a quarterback. Oregon lost
- 26:45Speaker 3: a quarterback. They're definitely not as good on the second
- 26:48Speaker 3: or third team, you know, down the bench as they
- 26:50Speaker 3: were at one. State is not as good, you know,
- 26:53Speaker 3: down the bench as well. You look at Fluff Bothwell.
- 26:55Speaker 3: I mean, he had 111 yards on 17 carries, but
- 26:58Speaker 3: he is not healthy. I mean, Ole Miss lost their
- 27:00Speaker 3: running back, Keewon Lacy. This is going on around college football,
- 27:04Speaker 3: and I think what we're seeing is Even though these
- 27:06Speaker 3: rosters are so expensive and they're going to continue to climb,
- 27:10Speaker 3: there's just not enough money for depth. And you better
- 27:11Speaker 3: hang on because, I mean, odds of you losing somebody
- 27:15Speaker 3: are pretty high. And if you lose a bunch of somebodies,
- 27:17Speaker 3: then you're not anywhere where you thought you were.
- 27:23Speaker 6: Just a minute. I'm chasing a dog who's trying to
- 27:25Speaker 6: run away. But Nellie, get back here.
- 27:28Speaker 2: That's all right.
- 27:28Speaker 6: She scooted out the door when I shouldn't have opened there.
- 27:31Speaker 6: And now we're all in traffic as a result. The situation,
- 27:36Speaker 6: of course, being that I think you've got to go
- 27:39Speaker 6: with an SEC veteran like Swan this weekend. And there's
- 27:45Speaker 6: been the frustration, of course, he hasn't played yet. A
- 27:47Speaker 6: lot of that's simply the fact that he's had repeated
- 27:51Speaker 6: ankle issues since he got here in spring. He's a
- 27:58Speaker 6: dadgum dog. He does own the place, doesn't he? Traffic stopping.
- 28:04Speaker 6: This is awesome radio.
- 28:05Speaker 2: No, it really is. No, it really is.
- 28:08Speaker 1: No.
- 28:09Speaker 6: He's had an ankle issue that was aggravated in some ways.
- 28:12Speaker 6: One of those guys, he either puts his foot in
- 28:14Speaker 6: the wrong place for somebody to step on it or whatever.
- 28:17Speaker 6: But he's cleared to go now, and I think State's
- 28:20Speaker 6: got to ride him. I think he's got the mental toughness.
- 28:23Speaker 6: He's been at Vanderbilt, LSU, Appalachian State. He's seen everything.
- 28:28Speaker 6: I think you run him out there and he's just
- 28:30Speaker 6: not going to be too rattled by the situation in Texas. Puckett,
- 28:34Speaker 6: bless him. He's been asked to do something that no
- 28:37Speaker 6: freshman should be asked to do. But the fumble he had,
- 28:40Speaker 6: the interception he threw, I just don't think it's wise
- 28:45Speaker 6: to run him back out there in that situation. But
- 28:48Speaker 6: it's going to be a situation all year, I mean
- 28:50Speaker 6: all season. Well, I guess I could go ahead and
- 28:53Speaker 6: say all season. What do you do? Because this offense
- 28:56Speaker 6: was built around Camario Taylor. Now, The coaches always say,
- 29:00Speaker 6: whatever they are, you've got to execute and run the system.
- 29:04Speaker 6: I get it. But you have to adapt to what
- 29:07Speaker 6: you have at the quarterback position more than anything. So
- 29:10Speaker 6: this is where we see Jeff Levy and staff have
- 29:13Speaker 6: to make some adjustments. What you can do. You still
- 29:15Speaker 6: got the runners. You still got the receivers. The same
- 29:17Speaker 6: offensive line. It's all the man receiving the snap. But
- 29:21Speaker 6: you've got to play to his strengths, whatever they are.
- 29:25Speaker 2: David Dove.
- 29:26Speaker 3: AJ Swan, what do we know as far as his availability?
- 29:29Speaker 3: This guy was a backup to Diego Pavia at Vanderbilt, obviously.
- 29:33Speaker 3: He's got SEC experience. He has played SEC football. Where
- 29:38Speaker 3: he is in his recovery? with Mississippi State?
- 29:41Speaker 6: I think he's fine to go. He was dressed out.
- 29:44Speaker 6: I saw him in the third quarter doing some passing
- 29:46Speaker 6: on the sideline just in case because, and by the way,
- 29:49Speaker 6: another thing too, State had to leave the starting offensive
- 29:53Speaker 6: line in there even after it was just about a
- 29:55Speaker 6: lost cause because you couldn't afford to have Billy Bucket
- 29:58Speaker 6: go down. So you're doubly risking a lot of your
- 30:01Speaker 6: starters in a situation like that. You see the bind
- 30:04Speaker 6: that it's in. I think Swan will be able to
- 30:07Speaker 6: go out there, be competent. The main thing, and this
- 30:10Speaker 6: is why I think he's going to get it this week,
- 30:14Speaker 6: and Steve agrees with me, is because Levy repeatedly said
- 30:18Speaker 6: today it's all about taking care of the football. And
- 30:22Speaker 6: when you emphasize ball security over playmaking– You've just tipped
- 30:27Speaker 6: your hand. You've got to go with somebody you trust
- 30:29Speaker 6: not to throw the interception, not to lose the handle
- 30:32Speaker 6: in a goal line situation. Now, entirely different subject. Should
- 30:37Speaker 6: Puckett have even been allowed to be in an RPO situation?
- 30:42Speaker 6: We're sitting there going, snap it four times directly to
- 30:44Speaker 6: Fluff Bothwell or somebody else. Snap it to Sam West,
- 30:48Speaker 6: for goodness sakes. But don't make a freshman quarterback have
- 30:51Speaker 6: to make a decision. We saw what happened when you did.
- 30:55Speaker 4: So.
- 30:56Speaker 6: That tells me you've got to change your offense for
- 30:58Speaker 6: your quarterback. It's not ideal, but it's the situation. And
- 31:02Speaker 6: here's the thing to remember, too, Jake. I know I'm
- 31:04Speaker 6: getting kind of all over the place. State can still
- 31:08Speaker 6: beat Vanderbilt with A.J. Swan. I really believe it. Wouldn't
- 31:12Speaker 6: that be a nice little story there?
- 31:13Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 31:13Speaker 6: I think State could beat Vanderbilt with Billy Puckett. I'm
- 31:16Speaker 6: pretty confident about Tennessee Tech. So you're still on the
- 31:19Speaker 6: line for bowl eligibility even without Camario Taylor. Auburn, tougher challenge.
- 31:25Speaker 6: Ole Miss, probably out of reach with those guys. But
- 31:28Speaker 6: you have a chance to achieve, weirdly enough, what was
- 31:31Speaker 6: your goal going into the season? Six and six in
- 31:34Speaker 6: a bowl game. It just hurts more because you see
- 31:38Speaker 6: what the team could be with a full-strength Camario Taylor
- 31:41Speaker 6: for a whole season. He is that much of a
- 31:43Speaker 6: difference maker. That's special. Of course, that's a whole commentary
- 31:47Speaker 6: on what they've recruited to surround him with, but it
- 31:50Speaker 6: doesn't take anything away from the fact Taylor's that special.
- 31:53Speaker 6: That said, you still got a chance to win some
- 31:55Speaker 6: games here with what you have left. If you adapt
- 31:59Speaker 6: to what they can do and don't force, put another
- 32:02Speaker 6: way in that goal situation down there, first down, don't
- 32:06Speaker 6: call a play for Camario Taylor, unless Camario Taylor's on
- 32:09Speaker 6: the field.
- 32:11Speaker 3: David, we've got a few minutes left here. Any other
- 32:13Speaker 3: news we need to share on Mississippi State sports?
- 32:16Speaker 6: Well, we had the exhibition with Memphis the other night,
- 32:18Speaker 6: and Josh Hubbard came off the bench. You could tell
- 32:20Speaker 6: he's not 100% speed yet. I think he had one
- 32:23Speaker 6: decent practice where he got in there. They were rattled early.
- 32:27Speaker 6: I think Memphis is going to be pretty darn good,
- 32:29Speaker 6: by the way. Not championship good, but they'll be entering
- 32:32Speaker 6: their conference. Much better team than I saw last year.
- 32:35Speaker 6: State's got a lot, a lot, a lot of chemistry
- 32:38Speaker 6: on the court to take place. The guys like each other.
- 32:41Speaker 6: I think they all play off each other pretty well.
- 32:44Speaker 6: but they don't know where to be when the ball's moving.
- 32:47Speaker 6: They don't know yet how to get in there, what
- 32:50Speaker 6: type of shots are going to go up and get
- 32:51Speaker 6: rebounds and things only game experience can show. I think
- 32:54Speaker 6: athletically they're ahead of last year, but I still have
- 32:59Speaker 6: some concern about second chance points. I, the ball handling
- 33:04Speaker 6: without Hubbard on the point, which we'd love to get
- 33:07Speaker 6: them off there still suspect at this point, uh, Reed,
- 33:11Speaker 6: he's going to be good. He's going to be really good.
- 33:14Speaker 6: He's just a little raw right now, obviously. I like
- 33:16Speaker 6: Thomas Bassong there as a defender there. Chris Jan's a
- 33:21Speaker 6: troublesome talent. It's going to take a while for this
- 33:23Speaker 6: bunch to come together to my eye.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Make sure to get him on X. Check him out
- 33:27Speaker 3: at jeanspage247sports. com. He's David Murray. David, appreciate you as always.

- 35:47Speaker 3: them on social media platforms like Facebook as well.
- 35:50Speaker 2: All right, A.J. Swan.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Probably going to be the guy this weekend. Four seasons
- 35:56Speaker 3: of college football. Started out, played two at Vanderbilt. Sat
- 36:00Speaker 3: at LSU for the 24th season. Was at App State
- 36:02Speaker 3: last year. 4,236 yards, 32 touchdowns, 17 picks in his career.
- 36:10Speaker 3: He's attempted 620 passes. He's completed 354. That's a 57.1%
- 36:15Speaker 3: completion percentage. Beavers, should Mississippi State fans embrace A.J.
- 36:20Speaker 8: Swan?
- 36:22Speaker 4: I guess you might as well. At this point, just
- 36:25Speaker 4: see what you have. You've got to find something. Yeah.
- 36:31Speaker 4: Go a different route. See what you got. That's not
- 36:34Speaker 4: a Great explanation, and it's not a great option, but
- 36:39Speaker 4: you don't have many right now.
- 36:41Speaker 3: How about we have fun with this and just create
- 36:42Speaker 3: some slogans that state fans could use for this? Like,
- 36:45Speaker 3: since he's a journeyman, A.J. Swan finally found a place
- 36:49Speaker 3: to land. You know the swan?
- 36:52Speaker 2: You don't like that one? Swan diving into the end zone?
- 36:57Speaker 2: You like that one? You don't like that one? Portal legend,
- 37:02Speaker 2: Starkville edition, A.J.
- 37:03Speaker 8: Swan?
- 37:06Speaker 4: Who are these attributed to? Who's doing this?
- 37:10Speaker 2: Unnamed people. I can't tell you that.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Or is this you?
- 37:13Speaker 2: This is me.
- 37:14Speaker 4: This is you.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Oh, no wonder I hate them so much.
- 37:17Speaker 2: When in doubt, let Swan figure it out. Hellstate, what
- 37:21Speaker 2: do you think?
- 37:24Speaker 3: I'm trying to give the fan base something. I mean,
- 37:26Speaker 3: Andre's already said, hey, let's lean into September. And now
- 37:29Speaker 3: I'm saying, hey, let's just roll with it.
- 37:30Speaker 7: A.J.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Swan, man, throw him out there.
- 37:32Speaker 4: I want to see him throw a pass before we
- 37:34Speaker 4: start making catchphrases. How about that? Let's go step one.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Throw a pass.
- 37:38Speaker 2: How about this? Swan song. Just warming up. You like
- 37:44Speaker 2: that one.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Adams is state taking a swan dive.
- 37:50Speaker 2: There you go.
- 37:51Speaker 6: See?
- 37:52Speaker 1: Who knows?
- 37:52Speaker 3: What if they roll over there in Texas and all
- 37:54Speaker 3: of a sudden A.J.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Swan becomes a legend? I.
- 37:59Speaker 4: You could see anything. Anything could happen. Well, probably except that,
- 38:04Speaker 4: but it's been a crazy football season so far.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Who knows, Jake?
- 38:08Speaker 6: It has.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Rest dog, David Murray for head coach. So he's ready
- 38:12Speaker 3: to give David Murray the head coaching job.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Once again, you don't have a lot of options right now,
- 38:18Speaker 4: so see what you got. Hire David Murray and just
- 38:21Speaker 4: see what you got.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Pocahontas and Pocahontas has to remind Jake of the winner
- 38:26Speaker 3: from last Friday. Bama and the over 50 and a half,
- 38:29Speaker 3: never in doubt.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Peace out.
- 38:30Speaker 3: That was, I actually thought about you, Pocahontas, over the
- 38:33Speaker 3: weekend when I cut that game on and it was
- 38:34Speaker 3: way over the over. You know, Texas A & M
- 38:36Speaker 3: scared them for a while. Looked like Texas A &
- 38:39Speaker 3: M may go in there and win. And then Alabama
- 38:41Speaker 3: kind of hit the gas and ran off with it.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Let's see here. Also, Humphreys County Dog. The Camario 30
- 38:47Speaker 3: for 30 is going to be awesome. What if I
- 38:49Speaker 3: told you one man's toe... brought down an entire program
- 38:54Speaker 3: we can name it the toe hurt around the world
- 38:57Speaker 3: that's pretty good right it's hard to believe you know
- 39:00Speaker 3: sometimes people say what you got more power in your
- 39:02Speaker 3: baby toe than whatever than a whole nation one man's
- 39:06Speaker 3: toe did bring the program down res dog swan for
- 39:12Speaker 3: heisman see that's what i'm talking about it's not it's
- 39:15Speaker 3: not too late to jump in there and win that
- 39:17Speaker 3: heisman Levy says Swan is as healthy as he's been
- 39:22Speaker 3: all season right now. So it's going to probably be
- 39:25Speaker 3: AJ Swan this weekend.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 39:27Speaker 3: I mean, look, maybe he comes out and. Arch Manning
- 39:31Speaker 3: doesn't have a good game and Swan starts I mean
- 39:35Speaker 3: look 10 for 15 for 175 yards and a couple
- 39:38Speaker 3: touchdowns and all of a sudden this thing you're in
- 39:40Speaker 3: a ball game on Halloween night out there in DKR
- 39:43Speaker 3: or whatever it's called the stadium out there where Sarkeesian
- 39:46Speaker 3: said he's glad he's there We'll get into Brett McMurphy's
- 39:49Speaker 3: college bowl projections. And also, courtesy of Ross Dellinger, Michigan
- 39:55Speaker 3: announces the official launch of its search for its next
- 39:57Speaker 3: athletic director. Hiring search firm, and I have no idea
- 40:00Speaker 3: who these guys are. ZRG Turnkey is leading this search. Baylor, Maryland,
- 40:10Speaker 3: and NC State have all now fired coaches in a
- 40:11Speaker 3: span of five days. Baylor is expected to owe Dave
- 40:15Speaker 3: Aranda around $ 12 million. Buyout totals now around $ 32 million total. Aranda,
- 40:19Speaker 3: $ 12 million. Dave Dorian, NC State, $ 10 million. Mike Loxley, Maryland,
- 40:25Speaker 3: $ 10 million. Yeah, Dave Aranda has been fired. He was
- 40:30Speaker 3: one of the ones that was on the hot seat
- 40:33Speaker 3: and kind of at the top of this thing, and
- 40:36Speaker 3: it just never was going to work out for Baylor
- 40:38Speaker 3: and Dave Aranda. This is a team right now, though,
- 40:41Speaker 3: that's 4-3. They've lost their last two games. I mean,
- 40:44Speaker 3: they were sitting fine after losing to Auburn. They had
- 40:46Speaker 3: won four in a row. They lost to TCU 17-6,
- 40:50Speaker 3: and they lost to Kansas on the road 25-24, and
- 40:54Speaker 3: the brass at Baylor had had enough. They said they
- 40:57Speaker 3: got to get him out of there at 4-3. So
- 41:00Speaker 3: Dave Aranda is back on the market. He'll likely be somebody,
- 41:03Speaker 3: a really good defensive coordinator next year. And Baylor is
- 41:06Speaker 3: on a coaching search. Let's see here.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Why is this doing this?
- 41:10Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 41:11Speaker 2: There we go.
- 41:11Speaker 8: Nope.
- 41:12Speaker 2: There we go.
- 41:15Speaker 3: All right, Scott Frost in Central Florida beat No. 2
- 41:17Speaker 3: BYU in double overtime, another unbeaten in the FBS Falls.
- 41:21Speaker 3: Cougars followed the win over Notre Dame last week with this.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Big 12's two most likely playoff hopefuls.
- 41:27Speaker 2: BYU and Texas Tech lose on the same day.
- 41:31Speaker 3: As Ross Dellinger says, that conference is wacky. Rezdog, if
- 41:35Speaker 3: Swan beats Texas, I'll never text the show again. You
- 41:38Speaker 3: think he means that?
- 41:39Speaker 6: No.
- 41:41Speaker 1: No.
- 41:42Speaker 4: Rez Dog, because last week, he texted in when you...
- 41:48Speaker 4: You took off last Wednesday and Thursday, and by Thursday,
- 41:52Speaker 4: I remember RezDawg had texted in that, as he put it,
- 41:58Speaker 4: since nobody here wants to work, which was true, because
- 42:02Speaker 4: I think that same day Matt Wyatt was off, and
- 42:05Speaker 4: in the morning you had glorious two-week-old replays. So that
- 42:09Speaker 4: part was true, and he said he was leaving us entirely.
- 42:14Speaker 4: He said he was going to a rival radio space.
- 42:17Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 42:18Speaker 4: Here he is.
- 42:18Speaker 2: He's still with us.
- 42:21Speaker 4: Rez dog.
- 42:22Speaker 3: He may take a hiatus and celebrate if Swan beats Texas.
- 42:25Speaker 3: We just may not see him. Jason in Flagstaff, quote,
- 42:28Speaker 3: stop looking at me, Swan. Now, that's got to be
- 42:31Speaker 3: a reference to something.
- 42:32Speaker 4: Who said that?
- 42:32Speaker 2: Jason.
- 42:33Speaker 8: Jason.
- 42:34Speaker 6: Of course.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Of course. You wouldn't. You know that when you were
- 42:36Speaker 4: going through your terrible catchphrases earlier, that was going through
- 42:40Speaker 4: my head. Stop looking at me, Swan.
- 42:42Speaker 2: What is that off of?
- 42:44Speaker 4: Billy Madison.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Oh, okay. And J-Rock.
- 42:48Speaker 3: RG3 told Dan Patrick this morning he would definitely be
- 42:51Speaker 3: interested in the Baylor job. Yeah, he's out there, RG3.
- 42:55Speaker 3: He's after this job, man. He wants the Baylor job.
- 42:59Speaker 3: And let's see here.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Minnesota.
- 43:00Speaker 4: So much coaching experience. Why would they not call you?
- 43:04Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of coaching experience there. Minnesota beat No.
- 43:07Speaker 3: 15 Iowa on a walk-off field goal over the weekend.
- 43:09Speaker 3: The Gophers are now 5-2 with wins over Michigan, Washington,
- 43:12Speaker 3: and Iowa. Losses to Mississippi State and Purdue. Also note.
- 43:16Speaker 3: In the Big Ten, Oregon drops to 4-3. They lost
- 43:19Speaker 3: to Illinois over the weekend. So much for that $ 50
- 43:22Speaker 3: million roster.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Got you nothing.
