Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Obviously, the really sad news came out yesterday that Dolly
- 0:06Speaker 2: Parton passed away at 80 years old. A country music
- 0:10Speaker 2: icon she was. I think everyone was feeling that yesterday. Yeah,
- 0:13Speaker 2: and I still feel like it's, I know it's 80,
- 0:15Speaker 2: but it is kind of young. I see 80 as
- 0:17Speaker 2: young as well. I know, and like my old man,
- 0:20Speaker 2: I think he's 75 or something. I'm like, wow, like
- 0:22Speaker 2: that's five years away. Don't think about it like that. Well,
- 0:25Speaker 2: that's how I did. Yeah. Yeah, it is really sad. Hey,
- 0:28Speaker 2: prior to her passing, Dolly shared that she was dealing
- 0:31Speaker 2: with some ongoing health issues that she had neglected while
- 0:33Speaker 2: she was caring for her late husband who passed away
- 0:36Speaker 2: last year. Now we have an update and it's been
- 0:39Speaker 2: revealed that Dolly was actually battling a short battle with cancer. Yeah,
- 0:44Speaker 2: so diagnosed not long ago. We don't know what form
- 0:47Speaker 2: of cancer, but we do know that it was cancer.
- 0:50Speaker 2: And obviously tributes for Dolly have been flowing in over
- 0:52Speaker 2: the last 24 hours. Huge names like Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Beyonce.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Eminem even, Kelly Clarkson, heaps of them coming through. But
- 1:00Speaker 2: everyone was kind of waiting for Miley Cyrus' tribute because
- 1:03Speaker 2: she's Dolly Parton's goddaughter and they were super, super close.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Because Dolly had no kids herself, right, but really close
- 1:08Speaker 2: with Miley. Yes, despite a really long marriage and everything,
- 1:11Speaker 2: she just never decided to have kids of her own.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Career woman. So Miley has now posted a heartfelt message
- 1:17Speaker 2: on socials overnight. She said, So she's basically said she's
- 1:19Speaker 2: going to go write a song about Dolly. A tribute
- 1:21Speaker 2: song to Dolly. Yeah. Hey, yesterday I was speaking about
- 1:42Speaker 2: Lockie Neal's ex-wife, Jules Neal. Now, in case you're not across,
- 1:46Speaker 2: Lockie Neal is an AFL star, plays for the Brisbane Lions,
- 1:49Speaker 2: was their captain, but after this cheating scandal came to
- 1:52Speaker 2: light earlier this year, he stepped down as captain. Basically,
- 1:56Speaker 2: the story is that Lockie cheated on his wife, Jules,
- 1:59Speaker 2: who he has a child with, with her best friend, Tess,
- 2:03Speaker 2: who was also married, by the way. So why we're
- 2:06Speaker 2: talking about it this week is the wife or ex-wife
- 2:09Speaker 2: did a tell-all podcast where she revealed it actually wasn't
- 2:12Speaker 2: the first time that he'd cheated. I've got a little
- 2:14Speaker 2: recap here.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I had found out that he had cheated on me before.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I got one of those awful, like, hey, girly DMs with...
- 2:23Speaker 1: The ones that make your heart sink down to your ass? Awful.
- 2:26Speaker 1: The worst day of my life. Didn't leave bed for
- 2:29Speaker 1: four days.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I fully believe it.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Before that would have bet my life that he would
- 2:33Speaker 1: have never done that to me ever. I was reassured
- 2:37Speaker 1: that that was a one-off thing. It would never happen again.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Biggest mistake of his life. We already had my daughter together,
- 2:44Speaker 1: so I decided to stay.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Now the latest is the other woman, Tess. in a
- 2:51Speaker 2: bit of a tit for tat, is going to be
- 2:52Speaker 2: releasing a podcast with her side of the story. So
- 2:55Speaker 2: she's the other woman. Now, we're still waiting on the
- 2:57Speaker 2: podcast to drop, but the Daily Mail have released some
- 3:00Speaker 2: quotes from the podcast. And she says, I've been staying
- 3:03Speaker 2: silent out of respect. There's so much more to this
- 3:06Speaker 2: story that people don't know, but I'm not going to
- 3:08Speaker 2: bring others down just to make myself look better either.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It almost did feel like a betrayal. So she saying
- 3:15Speaker 2: it was a betrayal to her, the best friend and
- 3:18Speaker 2: other woman that he cheated with. I'm confused. You know
- 3:21Speaker 2: how sometimes when people play up, they just have to
- 3:24Speaker 2: blame someone else? Yes. That's what it seems like to me.
- 3:27Speaker 2: It seems like a lack of taking accountability for the
- 3:30Speaker 2: fact that at the end of the day, it's quite
- 3:31Speaker 2: cut and dry, isn't it? You slept with your best
- 3:34Speaker 2: friend's husband and that is all there is to it.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Very interesting to hear the explanation though. I mean, we
- 3:39Speaker 2: will have that podcast at some stage this morning, maybe
- 3:42Speaker 2: after the show, but as soon as we get it,
- 3:43Speaker 2: we'll play it for you.
