Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: On today's show, We're going to clear up all the
- 0:02Speaker 1: disgusting lies the cowboys are trying to feed us.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Yeah, roll the intro, all right, Yo, yell yet your
- 0:15Speaker 2: life from Philly. It's the number one rated ply Tony
- 0:19Speaker 2: fo Show.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Yeah, as always, Polly Fools go here with Tony Fosco
- 0:26Speaker 1: and Tony Yo.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Huge show today, bo. Yeah.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Before we decide the big topics in the NFL, we
- 0:33Speaker 1: have bigger stories to discuss about what's been happening right
- 0:38Speaker 1: here on this show Insanity. Our merch store is totally
- 0:42Speaker 1: blowing up. Yeah, sales are through the roof people. And
- 0:45Speaker 1: you know we won't disclose specific numbers, but you know,
- 0:49Speaker 1: let's just say sales are up ten thousand percent.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Wow, just a huge number that stands alone. Don't need
- 0:58Speaker 2: more context at all. Absolutely not to be today.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Good guest today for a change, Tony longtime Eagle, played
- 1:06Speaker 1: for the team.
- 1:06Speaker 2: For ten seasons.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Of course those were the Andy Reid he is, so
- 1:10Speaker 1: you know we're gonna ask him about how much he
- 1:12Speaker 1: resents Andy for you know, winning super Bowls elsewhere and
- 1:15Speaker 1: just giving a half assed effort while in Philly. Former
- 1:18Speaker 1: Eagles offensive god Todd Herriman yay. But first it's time
- 1:24Speaker 1: for a word from our good friends at Colgate.
- 1:27Speaker 2: How does your breast smell?
- 1:29Speaker 1: If you don't know the answer, then that likely means
- 1:31Speaker 1: it smells like fresh dogs.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:34Speaker 2: You know, the other day I ran into my aunt
- 1:36Speaker 2: Marie's boyfriend Nunzio, and his breath smelled like for Dale
- 1:40Speaker 2: garbage mixed with piss. And I said, Nunzio, your breath
- 1:44Speaker 2: smells terrible. What did you just eat? And then he
- 1:47Speaker 2: said your aunt? And then I said, actually, let's just
- 1:51Speaker 2: keep going. You finish your local CBS.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Tell him, Paul and Tony said, you're in purchased a
- 1:55Speaker 1: minimum of forty tubes of Colgate to receive three dollars
- 1:59Speaker 1: in extra buck.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Just another check in the man. There we go.
- 2:04Speaker 1: With that business out of the way, it's time to
- 2:06Speaker 1: get into our top story story.
- 2:11Speaker 2: All right, first out the gate.
- 2:13Speaker 1: You know, after the Cowboys beat the Commanders forty five
- 2:16Speaker 1: to ten on Thanksgiving, the distrustful media has done nothing
- 2:21Speaker 1: but talk about the Cowboys, milking the subject like it's
- 2:25Speaker 1: breastfeeding time at the octomom's house exactly. You know, that's
- 2:28Speaker 1: because they're so called the media studies and focus groups whatnot.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Have told them that the Cowboys talk Juice's ratings. Now,
- 2:36Speaker 1: we are never going to stoop that low on this show.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Don't need to, obviously, because our ratings are massive. Unfortunately,
- 2:45Speaker 1: it is our journalistic duty, you know, to talk about
- 2:48Speaker 1: the Cowboys right now, for at least the next five minutes, right, Tony.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. There are so many other stories we could
- 2:55Speaker 2: talk about, like the Eagles and well, you know, there's
- 3:00Speaker 2: a lot of others too.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Yeah, there are a lot of others.
- 3:02Speaker 2: But the first, Starry, let's address this.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You know, people are saying that the Cowboys are a
- 3:06Speaker 1: so called quote unquote.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Good team because they're eight and three.
- 3:11Speaker 1: But you know, when you do a deep dive into
- 3:14Speaker 1: the numbers, like the rest of the lazy, uneducated media
- 3:18Speaker 1: just refuses to do, you can easily see that all
- 3:21Speaker 1: the teams they played and beat through week twelve did
- 3:25Speaker 1: not have a winning record. Now, Tony, this is just
- 3:28Speaker 1: totally dishonest, isn't it.
- 3:29Speaker 2: It's shameful. You can't have a quote winning record if
- 3:33Speaker 2: you've only beaten losing teams. It's time we make NFL
- 3:37Speaker 2: records more accurate. So from now on, beaten be teams
- 3:42Speaker 2: should only count as a half win, and losing to
- 3:45Speaker 2: a team should count as a quadruple loss. So based
- 3:50Speaker 2: on that logical reasoning, the Cowboys adjusted record is actually
- 3:56Speaker 2: four and six, putting them far out of playoff contention
- 3:59Speaker 2: as it stands currently.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I opening analysis that, Dony, and you know people out
- 4:06Speaker 1: there might say, hey, well, what about the Eagles losing
- 4:09Speaker 1: to the Jets. Well, those people are clearly morons because,
- 4:13Speaker 1: as the established several times in a previous episode, that
- 4:16Speaker 1: is terrific. By the way, that was only because both
- 4:20Speaker 1: teams were wearing green helmet. There you go, and that
- 4:23Speaker 1: was clearly confusing for Jalen Hurts.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Yeah, the Jets were basically camouflaged as Eagles. Unfair.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know, we want to move on here,
- 4:34Speaker 1: but you know, back to the Cowboys. Another headline you've
- 4:37Speaker 1: probably seen out there. Many talking heads in the media
- 4:41Speaker 1: are now saying Dak Prescott belongs in the MVP conversation. Now,
- 4:46Speaker 1: this is why you shouldn't just read clickbait headlines.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Isn't that right?
- 4:50Speaker 2: Dony? Absolutely, I mean, yes, it's true that Dak Prescott
- 4:55Speaker 2: belongs in the MVP conversation, but only if that conversation
- 5:00Speaker 2: is ten hours long, and you're discussing at least six
- 5:03Speaker 2: hundred different players, because right now, on my list of
- 5:07Speaker 2: potential MVP candidates, Dak currently sits at number five hundred
- 5:12Speaker 2: and eighty seven, right between charges tight end Gerald Everett
- 5:16Speaker 2: and tight and second string cornerback Roger McCreery. So I guess, yes,
- 5:22Speaker 2: Dak is in the conversation, but don't be fooled.
- 5:26Speaker 1: He sucks such valuable perspective that, Tony, and you know,
- 5:31Speaker 1: one more story we have to address. You You know,
- 5:34Speaker 1: we don't usually like to discuss the player's personal life
- 5:38Speaker 1: on the show because you know, it's wrong and distasteful, frankly,
- 5:42Speaker 1: to bring someone spouse, a you know, partner into his story.
- 5:46Speaker 1: But that being said, this week, Dak Prescott and his
- 5:49Speaker 1: girlfriend announced that they're pregnant, and you know, unfortunately, Tony,
- 5:54Speaker 1: this raises some very serious concerns we must address.
- 5:58Speaker 2: You know, I became very concerned when I heard Dak
- 6:01Speaker 2: and his girlfriend are having a baby. I mean, can
- 6:04Speaker 2: Dak be trusted with the baby? I mean, what if
- 6:08Speaker 2: he accidentally passes the baby to an opposing doctor, or
- 6:12Speaker 2: what if he fumbles the baby? I mean, we can
- 6:15Speaker 2: definitely trust Dak in the first two trimesters, but in
- 6:19Speaker 2: the final two minutes of the fourth trimester, Dak's gonna
- 6:22Speaker 2: buckle under the pressure. That's why I think it's a
- 6:25Speaker 2: smart idea to bring the more shorthanded Cooper Russian to
- 6:30Speaker 2: handle those final key moments.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Such terrific and vital medical advice that Tony and you
- 6:37Speaker 1: know again, we absolutely think it's distasteful when the media
- 6:41Speaker 1: approaches on a player of personal life. But we did
- 6:45Speaker 1: happen to do a deep analysis of the pregnancy portraits
- 6:49Speaker 1: that were released to the press, and as you can
- 6:52Speaker 1: see using our super zoom technology, the baby damp on
- 6:56Speaker 1: Dak's girlfriend appears to be housing a baby deep in
- 7:00Speaker 1: its second trimester or early third trimester.
- 7:04Speaker 4: And Tony, this says a lot, doesn't it.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yep, by my calculations, that would put the babies due
- 7:11Speaker 2: date right at February eleventh, which is also the date
- 7:14Speaker 2: of the Super Bowl. So this is clearly Dak's way
- 7:17Speaker 2: of admitting that he won't be playing in the super Bowl. However,
- 7:21Speaker 2: let's say he was planning to watch the super Bowl
- 7:24Speaker 2: that day, Well, he's not going to have time. Just
- 7:28Speaker 2: another example of bad Cowboys clock management. And also clock management.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Great point, Tony, and also what a terrific segue that
- 7:39Speaker 1: you did there. Because on that last topic, we must
- 7:42Speaker 1: address a very difficult and complicated situation developing in the NBA.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Oklahoma City Thunder player Josh Giddy accused of having an
- 7:53Speaker 1: inappropriate relationship with an underage girl. Now people are saying
- 7:58Speaker 1: that both the team and the here.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Have been slow to respond.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But Tony, those people they need to have some perspective here,
- 8:06Speaker 1: don't they.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, we know a lot of people is
- 8:10Speaker 2: shocked at how long the NBA is taken to address
- 8:13Speaker 2: the serious allegations against Josh Giddy. Now, we don't want
- 8:17Speaker 2: to minimize these allegations at all, but we also must
- 8:22Speaker 2: take into account that this is happening during the historic
- 8:25Speaker 2: and very important first ever in season tournament and everyone
- 8:30Speaker 2: in the NBA was simply waiting to see which team
- 8:33Speaker 2: would come out of West Group B. Again, don't want
- 8:37Speaker 2: to minimize the allegations at all, but West Group B
- 8:42Speaker 2: was very competitive and that had to take some priority.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Such an expert handling.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Of a complex and potentially explosive situation there, and you know,
- 8:54Speaker 1: would love to do a deep dive into all the
- 8:56Speaker 1: legal ramifications there, but unfortunately our guess coming on the
- 9:00Speaker 1: line right now, so let's just go ahead and bring
- 9:03Speaker 1: him on the FUSCO Satellite.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Network satellite in the world.
- 9:08Speaker 1: We are so glad we'll bring in one of our
- 9:11Speaker 1: Eagles brothers.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Basically a teammate.
- 9:14Speaker 2: That's what teammate, you know, and he played.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Ten seasons as you know, at an offensive guard for
- 9:19Speaker 1: Philly two thousand and five to twenty fourteen, fourth round
- 9:22Speaker 1: pick out of Saginaw Valley State. No idea, We have
- 9:26Speaker 1: no idea where that is. But somehow they found you,
- 9:29Speaker 1: which is good.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I currently a member for Athletes for Care, where he's
- 9:33Speaker 1: helping support athletes health, specifically promoting the use of cannabis.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Oh wow, okay, anyway, on that note, Todd Harriman's welcome
- 9:43Speaker 1: to the show.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Well what's up, boys, how you doing? Thanks for having me.
- 9:46Speaker 1: You're welcome, but you know some ground rules before we begin.
- 9:49Speaker 1: You know, we know several people who like to you know,
- 9:52Speaker 1: hit the reef for the happy cigarettes. We know you know,
- 9:55Speaker 1: some of them may be hosting the show, though maybe not. No,
- 9:58Speaker 1: we just asked that you try to keep you know,
- 10:00Speaker 1: your thoughts on topic and remember that nobody out there
- 10:03Speaker 1: wants a ten minute answer.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I understand. Yeah, and no alien talk. Okay, that's
- 10:07Speaker 2: all agreed.
- 10:09Speaker 6: Well, I don't know if that's the alien summoning herb,
- 10:14Speaker 6: but there's other things.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Okay, what is the alien summoning herb?
- 10:20Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 10:20Speaker 6: I don't have any experience in that category, but from
- 10:22Speaker 6: what I hear, there's some some stuff that can really
- 10:26Speaker 6: have you blast off and speak to the aliens.
- 10:28Speaker 2: But Tony will speak to you offline. Yeah, maybe we
- 10:31Speaker 2: continued that part of the conversation today.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Anyway, let's get the football here. Yeah, you know, let's
- 10:36Speaker 1: start with the Eagles. Obviously you were on the team,
- 10:40Speaker 1: you had Andy Reid as your coach. Then, unfortunately for you,
- 10:45Speaker 1: you know, he never won a Super Bowl and you
- 10:48Speaker 1: know then he goes to Kansas City Trader and has
- 10:51Speaker 1: already won two. Do you resent Andy Reid, you know,
- 10:54Speaker 1: for not giving us his best plays and you know,
- 10:57Speaker 1: doing such a half assed job when he was here.
- 11:02Speaker 6: Well, I don't know if resent would be the word
- 11:04Speaker 6: to use. Hate No, you know, as a killing back
- 11:09Speaker 6: on it. I'm very fond of Andy. I don't really
- 11:12Speaker 6: have a lot of ill will towards him.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Oh, now, I'd ask this very politely, but do you
- 11:20Speaker 1: accept mediocrity in your life?
- 11:22Speaker 4: Is that something you do?
- 11:24Speaker 5: No, not at all.
- 11:27Speaker 6: But well, I don't think we would be considered mediocre
- 11:31Speaker 6: through that time span of football. You thought that's mediocre?
- 11:36Speaker 1: Well, you know, all right, you had some ten win
- 11:38Speaker 1: eleven win seasons. But you know, compared to the Eagles now,
- 11:42Speaker 1: you know, Damin about to be sixteen and one, about
- 11:45Speaker 1: to win a Super Bowl, you know, mediocre.
- 11:47Speaker 6: Yeah, it's hard to compare to where they're at right now.
- 11:50Speaker 6: But yeah, you know you had some good years in there.
- 11:53Speaker 6: We're building, building the program, continuing the culture.
- 11:57Speaker 2: But did you ask him a coach congratulates, but you know,
- 12:01Speaker 2: why did you save your good plays for Casey and
- 12:03Speaker 2: give us all the plays here in Philly? Did you
- 12:06Speaker 2: ask him that?
- 12:07Speaker 5: Like the ring around the Rosie play and stuff like that.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Yeah, all that stuff? Where was that?
- 12:12Speaker 3: Wow?
- 12:13Speaker 5: We you know he put me at tight end. That
- 12:15Speaker 5: was about as crazy as we got.
- 12:17Speaker 4: What were your stats at tight end?
- 12:19Speaker 2: Did you have any catches when you reported as tight end?
- 12:22Speaker 5: My guys, I had two touchdowns on two for two.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Look at this guy, all right, that's right I wonder
- 12:27Speaker 1: he likes Andy Reid.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yeah, no one that's on the board. Okay, how did
- 12:32Speaker 2: you guys come up with the play? Were you having like,
- 12:34Speaker 2: you know, one of the happy cigarette sessions? And what
- 12:38Speaker 2: do we do this? That would be crazy?
- 12:40Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 12:40Speaker 2: Was he How much reefer was Andy Reid smoking?
- 12:43Speaker 6: I don't know if that aligns with the Mormon faith.
- 12:44Speaker 6: I don't think Andy part takes in that in that pastime.
- 12:49Speaker 6: But oh, it wasn't my idea. It was just a
- 12:52Speaker 6: you know, I think it's just about of play writing genius.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Well, I got to say, when that out of the
- 13:00Speaker 1: box thinking happens, you know what's usually involved there?
- 13:04Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:05Speaker 4: Out of the happy cigarette box exactly.
- 13:08Speaker 5: It does induce a little creativity in people, you know.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Well, that leads to our next question. You know, you
- 13:13Speaker 1: did have Chip Kelly as a coach, So two questions.
- 13:17Speaker 2: What was that like?
- 13:18Speaker 1: And how much weed did you have to smoke daily
- 13:20Speaker 1: to get through that?
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah? Like three bond rips in the morning. How much
- 13:25Speaker 2: did we go through there?
- 13:26Speaker 6: You know, I didn't really change my use throughout my
- 13:30Speaker 6: career depending on the coach or the circumstances.
- 13:33Speaker 5: I was more of like a recreational guy. Not such
- 13:36Speaker 5: a therapeutic guy.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Oh I see, all right, well, you know consistency, that's good.
- 13:41Speaker 6: Well maybe Chip, it was a it was a different
- 13:45Speaker 6: it's a different vibe. I drank the kool aid right
- 13:49Speaker 6: away and I thought it was the greatest thing to
- 13:50Speaker 6: hit the NFL, you know, and then you know, you
- 13:54Speaker 6: have to also be adaptable in the NFL, and that's
- 13:56Speaker 6: where I think we struggled a little bit with the
- 13:58Speaker 6: Chip Kelly era, and that.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Was in the kool aid poison, you know, is it
- 14:02Speaker 1: kind of that Jim Jones stuff.
- 14:04Speaker 6: Might have been, might have been a little a little
- 14:07Speaker 6: mind altering to get you on board with whatever was
- 14:09Speaker 6: going on.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you were like, oh yeah, let's definitely get Keiko
- 14:12Speaker 2: Alonzo full of Sean McCoy. This kool aid is great.
- 14:15Speaker 5: And I actually I was actually out of there that year.
- 14:19Speaker 5: I was part of the part.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Of the old They got rid of you by then.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, well, you know that just shows that he
- 14:25Speaker 1: didn't know what he was doing and probably should have
- 14:26Speaker 1: put you at tight end.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Then they would have gone exactly exactly.
- 14:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 6: Well, well, with a little self reflection, you know, my
- 14:35Speaker 6: career didn't last too much longer.
- 14:36Speaker 1: After that, so maybe he was on the say hey
- 14:38Speaker 1: you go, yeah, what do you think was going on
- 14:41Speaker 1: at that point?
- 14:42Speaker 4: You know why you were reflecting?
- 14:45Speaker 5: Well, you know, time off, you know, retirement. I guess
- 14:50Speaker 5: I wasn't.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Playing so may But how did they build the pyramids
- 14:53Speaker 2: like stuff like that?
- 14:54Speaker 6: Yeah, some of the ancient alien classic riddles and stuff
- 14:58Speaker 6: like that.
- 14:58Speaker 5: Yeah, totally.
- 15:00Speaker 1: So you're saying that, you know, mister Reefer was calling
- 15:04Speaker 1: more than mister Kelly.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Is that what you're saying?
- 15:06Speaker 5: Mister was calling more than most NFL gms?
- 15:11Speaker 1: I sing up, Well, you know all right, but let's
- 15:13Speaker 1: talk about that final time you were with the Eagles.
- 15:15Speaker 2: You know, you were an offensive God.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I've always wondered this, Dodd, did you ever have a
- 15:19Speaker 1: QB you know that was so bad that you just
- 15:22Speaker 1: didn't want to block for them? You know, just you know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: Ola let him get ruined? And was that QB Kevin Cobb?
- 15:31Speaker 6: Well, I could say this, There was no quarterback that
- 15:34Speaker 6: I played for that I didn't want to block for.
- 15:38Speaker 6: They were all great guys. I feel like you really
- 15:42Speaker 6: got to be a piece of if your on line
- 15:44Speaker 6: doesn't want to block for you.
- 15:45Speaker 1: So without naming names, do they play for the Jets.
- 15:51Speaker 5: I have no idea, I have no idea.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Oh okay, all right, well you know you did play
- 15:55Speaker 1: on the twenty thirteen Eagles, right yeah, Foals that year
- 15:59Speaker 1: had the greatest statistical year ever for a quarterback, throwing
- 16:03Speaker 1: twenty seven touchdowns and only dope picks, which leads to
- 16:07Speaker 1: my next question, what was it like showering with Nick Foles?
- 16:11Speaker 5: How was it showering with fulls.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Intimidating, crowded, crowded?
- 16:17Speaker 5: There you go, yeah, no, nothing spectacular.
- 16:23Speaker 6: Oh makes a beautiful human being.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Oh he's dodging the question.
- 16:29Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I mean you guys want to you are
- 16:32Speaker 6: you guys trying to see like what the what the sizes?
- 16:34Speaker 5: That what you want to know about?
- 16:35Speaker 1: You know, we do, we do study NFL stats on
- 16:38Speaker 1: the show Journalism.
- 16:39Speaker 2: We're just doing journalism here, yeah, you know, yeah.
- 16:43Speaker 6: Well you know, Nick, there's there's a lot of a
- 16:47Speaker 6: lot of guys in the locker room. Nothing sticks out tremendously.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Well except that though, I mean, right, no, not right, no, no, no.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It wasn't like the movie Anaconda with John Voight and
- 17:03Speaker 2: Jennifer Lopez were like, oh movie references, great movie. There
- 17:08Speaker 2: what it like being in anaconda.
- 17:10Speaker 6: If it was I didn't get the I didn't pass
- 17:14Speaker 6: the audition for that movie.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Wow.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Okay, okay, okay, not quite sure what that means, but
- 17:21Speaker 1: I'm kind of getting uncomfortable, Tony. Yeah.
- 17:24Speaker 2: You know, you know journalism though, That's what happens. When
- 17:27Speaker 2: you're a journalist.
- 17:28Speaker 1: You have to ask the uncomfortable questions. Absolutely, look moving on.
- 17:33Speaker 1: You know you finished your career in Indianapolis.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 4: You know, we spot trends on this show.
- 17:38Speaker 2: That's what we do.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Patterns.
- 17:40Speaker 1: You know, there are so many players and coaches who
- 17:42Speaker 1: have gone from the Eagles to the Colts, Costin Wentz,
- 17:46Speaker 1: Nick Foles, Godna Minshew, Frank Reich, Shane Steike and you
- 17:49Speaker 1: helpless others. Is there some rule that makes it mandatory
