Wichita’s iconic Minisa Bridge, a historic Art Deco landmark on the National Register with Native American carvings, is getting major repairs—brick road, lights, concrete, and graffiti removal. Starting July 13th, 13th Street North will be closed, rerouting traffic via McLean, 21st Street North, and Waco Avenue, though local access to businesses and North High School remains open. The bridge will reopen to pedestrians before the 2026-27 school year and to cars by September. Electronic signs will alert drivers to closures.
