- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey everyone, my name is Corey Marks, and I got
- 0:01Speaker 1: a brand new album called Sorry for Nothing available everywhere
- 0:05Speaker 1: and I'm here talking with Chris Beautiful.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Corey. Thanks for joining us today.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Mate, Hey, thanks for having me pleasure.
- 0:12Speaker 3: So, as you say, you released your third studio album,
- 0:15Speaker 3: Sorry for Nothing, just last week, bro, So how's the
- 0:17Speaker 3: only reception been for it?
- 0:20Speaker 1: Honestly, I think it's been great so far, and not
- 0:22Speaker 1: only in North America, but of course down Under and
- 0:25Speaker 1: all over the all of the globe. So it's been
- 0:28Speaker 1: you know, I'm really happy, happy to hear that and
- 0:30Speaker 1: see that. So it's been a project I've been waiting
- 0:32Speaker 1: to release and working on for the last four years.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So to finally have it out, it's uh, it's nice.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Now it's up to the world to see how they
- 0:41Speaker 1: how they acknowledge it, and hopefully they love.
- 0:42Speaker 3: It in the modern Asian music, mate, Like, how do
- 0:46Speaker 3: you engage your success of an album?
- 0:47Speaker 1: Like?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Is it is it? Feedback? Is it sounds Spotify?
- 0:51Speaker 3: Like?
- 0:51Speaker 2: It's so much going on and it's hard to sort of
- 0:53Speaker 2: tell in it.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Honestly, I have no idea because you know, there's there's somewhere.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I mean, you look at Spotify numbers and streams and
- 1:00Speaker 1: certain songs or albums, and you can feel like it's
- 1:02Speaker 1: really doing well, or you can see it in the
- 1:04Speaker 1: in a chart position, and but things may not still
- 1:08Speaker 1: be happening, like tours or or something you know isn't
- 1:11Speaker 1: isn't happening. It's but you can see comments on your
- 1:15Speaker 1: social media of people all over the world, all over
- 1:17Speaker 1: the globe and loving it, especially in certain areas. And
- 1:22Speaker 1: to me, it's all about the fans. If the fans
- 1:24Speaker 1: are loving it, keep playing it, keep sharing it, requesting
- 1:27Speaker 1: at radio, and get me to wherever you are.
- 1:30Speaker 3: A second can tell us a bit more about sorry
- 1:33Speaker 3: for nothing from a musical point of view and what
- 1:35Speaker 3: you've done for with it.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Well, I've always kind of stayed true. Well, I've always
- 1:39Speaker 1: stayed true to who I am and what I believe in,
- 1:41Speaker 1: what I enjoy doing. You know, as you know, I'm
- 1:43Speaker 1: I'm country, I'm rock, and I'm a little bit of metal.
- 1:46Speaker 1: And in this record, you know, you have songs that
- 1:48Speaker 1: I've I've written about a year ago, all the way
- 1:51Speaker 1: to songs like Late Night of Drinking Again where that
- 1:53Speaker 1: was maybe seven or eight years ago, you know, So
- 1:57Speaker 1: it's it's a little it's it's you know, it's thirteen
- 2:00Speaker 1: songs of that I think represent me the best right now.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You know where where I've you know, what I've been through,
- 2:08Speaker 1: where I've been, and how far I've come, and where
- 2:10Speaker 1: I plan on continue to go and and and continue
- 2:13Speaker 1: to do. And hence the and hence the album title
- 2:17Speaker 1: Sorry for Nothing.
- 2:19Speaker 3: I was gonna say that the album title is sort
- 2:21Speaker 3: of it's a statement of sources, isn't it.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It's it's a powerful statement.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Well, I think, you know, I think I've obviously been
- 2:28Speaker 1: known to keep outside of that. I guess industry box
- 2:32Speaker 1: where they try to force you to look, sound and
- 2:34Speaker 1: act a certain way. And I think it's our job
- 2:36Speaker 1: as artists to create the art that that we know
- 2:38Speaker 1: and we live. And you know, that's what I write about.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I I write about what I know and what I've
- 2:43Speaker 1: been through and what I've lived, and I know that
- 2:46Speaker 1: it's very you know, a lot of people can connect
- 2:49Speaker 1: to that, whether it's love, love, loss, or or or
- 2:52Speaker 1: pain or growth or you know, a Saturday night out
- 2:56Speaker 1: on the town.
- 2:56Speaker 4: With with the boys said before, right like, the album
- 3:01Speaker 4: is a stubtle blending of a rain of rock as
- 3:03Speaker 4: Root's country, there's a bit of metal in there, so
- 3:06Speaker 4: and then the rotting process and recordings, like how did
- 3:09Speaker 4: you find the balance between those genres?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Well, you know, I've written so much. I mean, these
- 3:14Speaker 1: thirteen songs are are hand picked, but out of probably
- 3:17Speaker 1: close to one hundred songs that I wrote over the
- 3:19Speaker 1: last you know, four or so years. And I think,
- 3:23Speaker 1: you know, with me, when I make a record, I
- 3:25Speaker 1: want it to be very much like my live show.
- 3:27Speaker 1: So you know, you know, when you see me live,
- 3:30Speaker 1: you're gonna hear some Pantera, You're gonna hear maybe some Azzi,
- 3:32Speaker 1: You're gonna hear some Merle and of course you know,
- 3:37Speaker 1: some cool med leys in between my songs. But this
- 3:39Speaker 1: this record specifically, and like just like the last one,
- 3:42Speaker 1: you know, we want to start off with a bang
- 3:44Speaker 1: and take you for a ride where you know it's
- 3:47Speaker 1: it's big and heavy at the start. You know you
- 3:49Speaker 1: can sing along, you know a little bit further in,
- 3:53Speaker 1: bring it back down to where it all started, where
- 3:54Speaker 1: it's acoustic me and a song and and and you know,
- 3:57Speaker 1: the fans, and then we bring you right back up
- 3:59Speaker 1: and then with a bang. So that's kind of you know,
- 4:03Speaker 1: that's how I try to try to make my albums
- 4:05Speaker 1: and I think that's what we've done with this one
- 4:06Speaker 1: here is you can almost envision what it would be
- 4:09Speaker 1: like to see me live.
- 4:11Speaker 5: And fans of all of those genres.
- 4:12Speaker 3: You mentioned that they're pretty judged metal mate, so but
- 4:15Speaker 3: was it a risk at all sort of trying to
- 4:17Speaker 3: fit somewhere in the middle.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I'd get a bit of backlash from you for.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I always get backlash, but again, they just need to
- 4:24Speaker 1: read the title of the album and uh, you know,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and and realize who I am and what I'm doing,
- 4:29Speaker 1: and I'm just I'm just an artist writing songs and
- 4:34Speaker 1: stories that i've that I've lived and that I love
- 4:37Speaker 1: based on the music I grew up on. And that's
- 4:39Speaker 1: anywhere from you know, Jimmy Rodgers, Merle Hager, Whale and
- 4:43Speaker 1: Jennings to Ozzy Osbourne, Panthera and Brian Adams. You know,
- 4:46Speaker 1: it's a mix of a mix of a little bit
- 4:48Speaker 1: of everything. And you know, like I've said before, what
- 4:51Speaker 1: you see is what you get and you can expect
- 4:52Speaker 1: it live too.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Now, I want to talk about one song in particular,
- 4:57Speaker 3: which is not make my Country Rocklight as an interesting
- 5:00Speaker 3: play on words like you could say that a couple
- 5:02Speaker 3: of different ways, like was it was it written by
- 5:04Speaker 3: that or did you sort of write it and look
- 5:05Speaker 3: at the title and go, I'm pretty clever.
- 5:10Speaker 1: It was actually I first called it was uh, it
- 5:14Speaker 1: was just called country rock. But the label thought it
- 5:17Speaker 1: was a little too generic, it was a little too whatnot.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So you know, there's we just I said, well, I
- 5:24Speaker 1: don't we just go with the hook, gonna make my
- 5:26Speaker 1: country rock, And you know, it could really go, It
- 5:28Speaker 1: could really go both ways. I looked at it as
- 5:30Speaker 1: in the genre of music itself, making my country music rock. Uh,
- 5:36Speaker 1: But also, like you said, there's gonna be critics and people,
- 5:39Speaker 1: well that's not rock or that's not country. So I'm
- 5:42Speaker 1: gonna stir things up a little bit, as I typically
- 5:45Speaker 1: always do for whatever reason. If you don't, if you
- 5:47Speaker 1: don't stick between the lines, and I make my country rock.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah. And they also feature, if you guess, artists
- 5:53Speaker 2: on the album, including Saliana from God, Smack at DL
- 5:57Speaker 2: from bed Wolves, Mick Miles, and so was fare.
- 6:00Speaker 3: The songs are there on and why what are those
- 6:02Speaker 3: particular artists?
- 6:04Speaker 1: Well, I think guilty. Uh, you know, I wrote that
- 6:06Speaker 1: one with uh, the same guys that would make my
- 6:08Speaker 1: country rock with. But I added to that was, uh,
- 6:10Speaker 1: it was Kyle O. Deell, you know, and he's he's
- 6:12Speaker 1: a great guitar player and producer on the on the
- 6:15Speaker 1: hard rock side, and just the musicality I thought was,
- 6:20Speaker 1: you know, the musical aspect of guilty and uh getting
- 6:23Speaker 1: a no DL a little bit, you know, being friends
- 6:26Speaker 1: with some of the guys in Bad Walls, I thought,
- 6:28Speaker 1: and we're on the same label. It was just kind
- 6:30Speaker 1: of a perfect fit when his name came up, and uh,
- 6:33Speaker 1: you know, and I heard he wanted to do it
- 6:35Speaker 1: and love the song. I thought, well, let's just let
- 6:37Speaker 1: him do his thing. He's a talented dude, great vocalist
- 6:39Speaker 1: and singer and you know he I just thought he
- 6:42Speaker 1: did a great job with that. And and then we had
- 6:44Speaker 1: a great phone call apter kind of reflecting on the
- 6:46Speaker 1: lyrics and how we feel very similar about you know,
- 6:49Speaker 1: if living my life is a crime, then I'm guilty.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So there was that make my country rock when I
- 6:55Speaker 1: when I first wrote it, I was, you know, I
- 6:56Speaker 1: was in Nashville and I was supposed to go to
- 6:58Speaker 1: mix house and we we'd scheduled to hang out so
- 7:01Speaker 1: sure enough I was over at the mixed house and
- 7:04Speaker 1: I was actually one of the first people to hear
- 7:06Speaker 1: his his new album, his Mars album.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Uh.
- 7:10Speaker 1: And you know, he asked me, do you had you
- 7:12Speaker 1: have any demos that you wrote, and said, well, actually,
- 7:14Speaker 1: a couple of days ago I wrote the song and
- 7:16Speaker 1: you know you want to hear it. Of course you
- 7:18Speaker 1: wanted to hear it. So we played in the studio
- 7:20Speaker 1: and sure enough I had to ask, Hey, would you
- 7:22Speaker 1: mind throwing some guitar on it for me? And he said, hell, yeah, man,
- 7:26Speaker 1: this thing's kicks ass, this is this is what I
- 7:28Speaker 1: like to hear. Give me about a week and I'll
- 7:29Speaker 1: I'll throw some guitar on it. So once I knew
- 7:33Speaker 1: I had Nick, I thought to myself, well, let's let's
- 7:35Speaker 1: let's do you know, because by the time this song
- 7:38Speaker 1: comes out, it's probably gonna be around five years of
- 7:39Speaker 1: Outlaws and Outsiders. So I thought, I'm not going to
- 7:42Speaker 1: ask anybody else but but the Outlaws boys first, and uh,
- 7:46Speaker 1: Travis Tripp, you know when I sent them a song
- 7:48Speaker 1: called me up when I was on tour up here
- 7:49Speaker 1: in Canada, and you know, with a Georgian accident, he says, well,
- 7:54Speaker 1: the last song did pretty good, now, didn't it, So
- 7:56Speaker 1: why don't we do this again? I said, hell yeah.
- 7:59Speaker 1: So I had Travis, I'd Mick and you know, and
- 8:02Speaker 1: then Ivan was on the other side of the world
- 8:04Speaker 1: touring in Germany, and you know, it was crazy. They're
- 8:07Speaker 1: out with Metallica and there's lots going on, and so,
- 8:10Speaker 1: you know, I understood if he couldn't do it, so
- 8:12Speaker 1: you know, we want another rock vocalist on it, and
- 8:14Speaker 1: there was there's a few names that were thrown around.
- 8:16Speaker 1: But when I heard Sally Erna, I thought to myself, Man,
- 8:19Speaker 1: I grew up, you know, on Godsmack, you know, being
- 8:22Speaker 1: a hockey player. A lot of the guys in the
- 8:23Speaker 1: hockey room you're playing Godsmack, and you know, as a
- 8:26Speaker 1: drummer myself, I remember seeing him, you know, doing that
- 8:29Speaker 1: drum off battle during his live show and I was
- 8:33Speaker 1: both being you know, songwriters and vocalists, but also doing
- 8:37Speaker 1: the drum solo alive for both Rush fans too. So
- 8:39Speaker 1: I thought, man, Sally Erna could do this, this would be,
- 8:42Speaker 1: this would be He'd be the guy man, especially especially
- 8:44Speaker 1: when you hear that make my Country rock. And I
- 8:47Speaker 1: was about a week later, I was you know, that
- 8:49Speaker 1: was my guy. That's why I wanted out of the
- 8:51Speaker 1: list that was there. And sure enough I get a
- 8:53Speaker 1: text from maybe Sally Earn, a big, beautiful text thanking
- 8:57Speaker 1: me for having him on the song and and how
- 8:59Speaker 1: much he liked the track and thought it was going
- 9:01Speaker 1: to be great for me and that he might even
- 9:04Speaker 1: love the song more than I do. So that was
- 9:06Speaker 1: really special. And that's the story behind make My Country Rock.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Right now.
- 9:12Speaker 3: That long as and outside as before, like that was
- 9:15Speaker 3: off your previous album Who I Am, and it was
- 9:17Speaker 3: a massive success. Did I put any extra pressure on
- 9:20Speaker 3: you going into Sorry for Nothing?
- 9:21Speaker 5: The fact that one was big?
- 9:24Speaker 1: I mean, obviously, you know, especially when so much time
- 9:27Speaker 1: has passed and you've kind of really with that song
- 9:30Speaker 1: really created this linge for other artists to do you
- 9:33Speaker 1: know that whole Like you know, country and rock was
- 9:36Speaker 1: starting to kind of jive together after that hit, and
- 9:39Speaker 1: you're seeing a lot more of it now, So you know,
- 9:42Speaker 1: once you know in the writing process, you know, I
- 9:44Speaker 1: just again I write from straight from the heart and
- 9:47Speaker 1: what you know, what I believe in when I live.
- 9:49Speaker 1: But when you put a record together, you can only
- 9:51Speaker 1: hope it's going to be just as good as your
- 9:53Speaker 1: debut album, if not better. So I'm you know, obviously
- 9:57Speaker 1: there's that pressure on me, but I can't control it.
- 9:59Speaker 1: It's out of my hand. I just know that I
- 10:00Speaker 1: think I put together a kick ass record that's beautiful
- 10:03Speaker 1: and and rocking on both the country and rockside and
- 10:07Speaker 1: everything in between. And I hope the critics and and
- 10:11Speaker 1: and you know, and and the listeners will feel the
- 10:14Speaker 1: same way that are just going to go into this
- 10:15Speaker 1: album with an open mind and love the shit out
- 10:19Speaker 1: of it.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I speaking of your debut album, LTE like you
- 10:23Speaker 3: started your career with this Man in twenty fifteen.
- 10:26Speaker 2: So what was your early vision for your music? I guess,
- 10:29Speaker 2: And where did you fit in back then?
- 10:32Speaker 1: I didn't fit in back then, either I believe it
- 10:34Speaker 1: or not. And you know it was still it was still,
- 10:38Speaker 1: you know, either a little too rock for country, you know,
- 10:42Speaker 1: especially up here in Canada, because I still I still
- 10:44Speaker 1: deal with that. Or you're just not in the click
- 10:47Speaker 1: you know, you're not You're not you know whatever it
- 10:50Speaker 1: is you don't. You don't fit into that that specific
- 10:52Speaker 1: circle of artists that you hear time and time over
- 10:55Speaker 1: and over again on radio, and it seems like it
- 10:58Speaker 1: doesn't matter the streams or the global success. It's just
- 11:02Speaker 1: kind of they're kind of stuck in their way. So
- 11:05Speaker 1: even then, I mean I felt that way, and hence
- 11:08Speaker 1: while I came up with the song Outlaws and Outsiders,
- 11:10Speaker 1: or at least the title and idea. But you know,
- 11:14Speaker 1: I've always wanted to be like a little different, little
- 11:16Speaker 1: outside the box. And again, I come from that that
- 11:19Speaker 1: background of real country music from Haggard to to that
- 11:22Speaker 1: hard rock like Ozzy Osbourne and Brian Adams, and I've
- 11:25Speaker 1: always just kind of wanted to be a mix of
- 11:26Speaker 1: those artists. But ultimately, when you when when you start
- 11:31Speaker 1: working with a guy like Kevin Cherco, you know he's
- 11:34Speaker 1: a producer that could take a good song and make
- 11:36Speaker 1: it great and even better. And I know that's that's
- 11:39Speaker 1: what he's done with anything we put out together, and
- 11:42Speaker 1: especially a song like Outlaws and Outsiders.
- 11:45Speaker 3: That's nearly ten years you've been gone, now, Bro, say
- 11:47Speaker 3: what have you learned about yourself and your music in
- 11:50Speaker 3: that period.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I've known that I you know, I've learned that I
- 11:54Speaker 1: think I'm a lot more patient than I feel like
- 11:57Speaker 1: I am. You know, I think I've also learned that
- 12:02Speaker 1: you know more and more now than ever that you
- 12:05Speaker 1: know that. Uh, I think the important thing is is
- 12:08Speaker 1: not to just you know, create something for what you
- 12:11Speaker 1: think is going to fit the industry or you know,
- 12:15Speaker 1: again I'll talk about that box, but but do it
- 12:18Speaker 1: for you and and and the fans, and you know,
- 12:20Speaker 1: try to write your own story and and and you
- 12:22Speaker 1: know if you have to pave your own lane, and
- 12:25Speaker 1: it's and doing that, it's going to be a lot harder,
- 12:28Speaker 1: uh you know, to try to try to chart and
- 12:30Speaker 1: try to get you know, accepted, so to speak. And
- 12:34Speaker 1: you've got to be You're going to be alone for
- 12:36Speaker 1: a little while until you know, you started a wave
- 12:39Speaker 1: that they just can't stop. And I'm hoping that I'm
- 12:41Speaker 1: going to continue that and do that, do just that
- 12:43Speaker 1: with this with this record Story for Nothing and and
- 12:46Speaker 1: the singles that are on there. But you know, it's
- 12:49Speaker 1: it's a long road. And it's one thing I've learned
- 12:51Speaker 1: that it's not you know, there's no really overnight success
- 12:54Speaker 1: unless it's paid for you you win some fancy competition,
- 12:58Speaker 1: sou But you know, for me, it's all about longevity
- 13:01Speaker 1: and hoping I can have you know that career, for
- 13:04Speaker 1: this career and even more and much much bigger, you know,
- 13:08Speaker 1: for for years to come.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Have that love stize is bribly. What do you got
- 13:12Speaker 2: coming up?
- 13:14Speaker 1: Well, we just announced European tour, so I think it's
- 13:18Speaker 1: looking like about a dozen shows at this point between Germany, Netherlands, Paris,
- 13:26Speaker 1: the UK and now Scotland being added and you know,
- 13:30Speaker 1: still booking. We just announced a tour, a mini tour
- 13:34Speaker 1: of Quebec, Canada, which is a great province up here,
- 13:39Speaker 1: and you know there's going to be shows being announced.
- 13:42Speaker 1: We're working on a few US tours as well. But
- 13:45Speaker 1: it's been a bucket list of mine since twenty nineteen
- 13:47Speaker 1: to make my way down Under and and play for
- 13:50Speaker 1: everybody in Australia. So I'm really hoping that twenty twenty
- 13:53Speaker 1: five is going to be the year, especially the way
- 13:56Speaker 1: you know, radio has been treating me down there and
- 13:58Speaker 1: the media has just been it's just been incredible, and
- 14:02Speaker 1: I'm so thankful for the support and the fans and
- 14:05Speaker 1: everybody down in Australia. So I really hope that twenty
- 14:08Speaker 1: twenty five is the year that I that I come
- 14:11Speaker 1: down to come down Under Australia.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Fantastic Cardia before I let you got my We've got
- 14:16Speaker 2: a new segment we've started called fighter Bomb, which basically
- 14:19Speaker 2: means that I'm short three social.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Media and I've come up with some fighters that I
- 14:23Speaker 3: want to know a bit more about.
- 14:25Speaker 2: All right, said this one h.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Feelix sand is going to pop up for some reason.
- 14:33Speaker 3: That one, Brian, I one of my here's idea was
- 14:35Speaker 3: it to put you on a page in black jeans
- 14:37Speaker 3: and a black folk and I still working for you.
- 14:41Speaker 1: But well, uh, they did work for me that day.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Uh No, but that was actually on the video shoot
- 14:48Speaker 1: for Sorry for Nothing in Long Island Lido Beach just
- 14:53Speaker 1: outside of New York. And uh, you know that's that's
- 14:57Speaker 1: the film team there that shot the music video for
- 15:00Speaker 1: Sorry for Nothing and the Gentleman and the cutoff and
- 15:03Speaker 1: the black hats, my tour manager and cinematographers. So this
- 15:07Speaker 1: was one of those really cool key parts of we
- 15:10Speaker 1: did a lot of It was a lot of cool
- 15:12Speaker 1: shots that we got from from this beach. And it
- 15:14Speaker 1: was actually quite beautiful, because you don't think there's there's
- 15:17Speaker 1: a beach quite like that in New York, but there
- 15:20Speaker 1: certainly was, and it was a it was a cool spot.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Attempting to weigh short sitation mane, you look like you're
- 15:26Speaker 3: gonna be pretty bloody hot.
- 15:29Speaker 1: You know what it was? Actually it was pretty cool.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It was it was quite windy, and you know New
- 15:34Speaker 1: York has is fairly close to where I am in Ontario,
- 15:38Speaker 1: Canada or Toronto, so uh, you know, I was just fine.
- 15:43Speaker 5: I'm found this one as well. All right, so this
- 15:46Speaker 5: is you've got this one now.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Yeah, quite a lot of fighters have got you connected
- 15:54Speaker 3: with the crowds. I get is it ever going parshaped
- 15:57Speaker 3: and then someone sawed dragon ween or he got more.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I've definitely actually in this in this photo. I think
- 16:04Speaker 1: there were some people that that tried to pull me,
- 16:06Speaker 1: but I like to think, you know, my time in
- 16:10Speaker 1: the gym kept me up on that stage. But this
- 16:13Speaker 1: was on tour with Five Finger, Death Punch and Brandtley Gilbert.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I believe this was Emily Arena in in in Florida
- 16:21Speaker 1: where the Tampa Bay Lightning play. Although there was a
- 16:26Speaker 1: lot of these arenas, this packed in this full which
- 16:29Speaker 1: is pretty awesome for you know, the opener like myself
- 16:33Speaker 1: on this tour. But as you can see, there's that
- 16:36Speaker 1: tribute to Rush on my on my tricep there one
- 16:39Speaker 1: I'm probably I think this's my most recent tattoo, but
- 16:42Speaker 1: it's a tribute to Neil Peart. It's got the twenty
- 16:44Speaker 1: one to twelve based drum like you had on this tour,
- 16:47Speaker 1: and it says time stands still and you know, freeze
- 16:52Speaker 1: this moment a little bit longer. And now looking at
- 16:53Speaker 1: this picture, it's like, Wow, what I what I'd give
- 16:56Speaker 1: to get back to playing arenas and being in front
- 16:59Speaker 1: of thousands of people like this.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Take out that security guy, but he would have been
- 17:03Speaker 5: loving his eyes.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I think, yeah, I think he's just making sure. He's like,
- 17:07Speaker 1: what's this guy up to? Because I end up running
- 17:11Speaker 1: back and forth a little bit crazy and uh, it
- 17:14Speaker 1: depends on the crowd and it depends on the stage.
- 17:16Speaker 1: But you never know what I'm gonna do.
- 17:18Speaker 3: And you mentioned you played Five Fingers like that that
- 17:21Speaker 3: a deocrat, except you did it go every way.
- 17:25Speaker 1: You know what I think? Over I mean, here's a
- 17:27Speaker 1: perfect perfect shot of that. If they accepted me or not.
- 17:31Speaker 1: You know, it was they were loud every night, and
- 17:34Speaker 1: it was it was pretty pretty exceptional. I remember Ivan Moody,
- 17:38Speaker 1: the singer of Five Finger and and Brantley. They were
- 17:42Speaker 1: actually quite surprised by the amount of people every show.
- 17:45Speaker 1: And you know, some team members came to some of
- 17:48Speaker 1: the shows. I think one was in Nashville, and they
- 17:50Speaker 1: thought to themselves too. They told me after that, you know,
- 17:53Speaker 1: normally for a six thirty or seven o'clock start for
- 17:56Speaker 1: the opener for these big bands, knowing they're not coming
- 17:58Speaker 1: on till ten o'clock, you don't normally see the pit.
- 18:01Speaker 1: The pit that full. And that's one thing I was
- 18:03Speaker 1: grateful for. The pit was was was, you know, very full,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and so were the seats for the most part, and
- 18:10Speaker 1: and they just kept filling up once we started.
- 18:13Speaker 3: And I've got this last spintal one might like anyone
- 18:16Speaker 3: that says you're not rock or meddle enough, mate, I
- 18:18Speaker 3: want him to check out this Fiday.
- 18:21Speaker 5: That just proves it. Maybe you've got what it takes.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Well, dude, Thank you, Chris. That's uh. That is when
- 18:27Speaker 1: I do that and I find cameras for me that
- 18:30Speaker 1: goes that just makes me think of Holy dim That's
- 18:34Speaker 1: something Ronnie James Deal would do right there.
- 18:37Speaker 5: It does.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Indeed, Bro Marbell, thanks very much for you, Tom Corey.
- 18:40Speaker 3: It's been an absolute pleasure speaking with you. Run of
- 18:42Speaker 3: the album Sorry for Nothing, News Now Now and it's
- 18:45Speaker 3: a cracker of an album.
- 18:46Speaker 5: Might I really enjoyed listening to it so hopefully.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you, Chris. I appreciate your time. Glad
- 18:53Speaker 1: we were able to make this happen, and yes, I
- 18:56Speaker 1: I pray that twenty twenty five is the year that
- 18:59Speaker 1: Corey Mars comes down to Australia and plays live for everybody.
- 19:03Speaker 1: And Merry Christmas to you and your family. All the
- 19:05Speaker 1: best in twenty twenty five and look forward to seeing
- 19:07Speaker 1: you
