- 0:49Speaker 2: Retfresh Radio, brought to you by First Light. Hey, we
- 0:53Speaker 2: are in different spots right now, case but we're both
- 0:55Speaker 2: in Texas and we are what seven eight hours apart
- 0:59Speaker 2: from each other, and we're still both in Texas. Isn't
- 1:01Speaker 2: that wild place?
- 1:02Speaker 3: Is?
- 1:03Speaker 4: It is insane?
- 1:04Speaker 5: And honestly, I didn't even We're not only about half
- 1:08Speaker 5: a state of park right now.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Tell you the truth.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I guarantee you that further distances to go than this,
- 1:13Speaker 2: for sure. That's what people don't understand. We could do
- 1:16Speaker 2: Texas about there every week if we wanted, and it
- 1:19Speaker 2: would be like, you know, not too many people interested,
- 1:22Speaker 2: but it would for sure cover different ruts and different
- 1:25Speaker 2: uh dynamics within the herds.
- 1:27Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:28Speaker 4: It's like, uh, you know, what's the difference in doing
- 1:30Speaker 4: uh Delaware in New Hampshire. You know, it's like, well,
- 1:33Speaker 4: the same place.
- 1:34Speaker 5: It's like it's like interviewing somebody from Greenville and you
- 1:37Speaker 5: interviewing somebody from texture Canna.
- 1:39Speaker 4: You know, it's like, well, that's the same place.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah or not. It'd be like interviewing somebody from Ohio
- 1:45Speaker 2: and somebody from Michigan. You know. Yeah, man, place, same same.
- 1:50Speaker 6: You get cheese curds there.
- 1:51Speaker 4: It's the same place.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Speaking of cheese, man, Uh, you're gonna beat some of
- 1:56Speaker 2: that koheda pretty soon.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Uh yeah, I'm about to try.
- 1:59Speaker 5: So, you know, we're down here in the in the
- 2:01Speaker 5: land of man Techi Eras and uh Takiris muchos as.
- 2:06Speaker 4: You'd say, So we're gonna do the tour. You know.
- 2:10Speaker 5: One of the things that we do down here is
- 2:12Speaker 5: we come down here to eat Mexican food and we
- 2:14Speaker 5: deer hunt in the morning in the evening while we're
- 2:15Speaker 5: here so it works really well.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it.
- 2:20Speaker 2: It's kind of like going to New Orleans. Man. You
- 2:22Speaker 2: just go down there for the food, and you know,
- 2:24Speaker 2: randomly there's things like duck hunting and other things you
- 2:27Speaker 2: can do while you're down there.
- 2:28Speaker 4: That's true. That's true.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Step over people that are just passed down to the curb,
- 2:33Speaker 5: you know, like it's a wild thing.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that was Yeah.
- 2:37Speaker 4: I don't uh, I don't really want to go there, but.
- 2:40Speaker 5: You know, there are some nice places in this world
- 2:42Speaker 5: you can get away from folks and find.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Some deer and Tyler.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Just to be reflective, this isn't the last episode of
- 2:49Speaker 5: Refresh Radio.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Thanks for getting thankfully. Yeah, we got one more to
- 2:53Speaker 2: do after this. I wish there was hundreds more to do,
- 2:57Speaker 2: you know, but not only somebody to eight weeks in
- 3:00Speaker 2: the year, you know.
- 3:02Speaker 4: I know it, man, I know it.
- 3:03Speaker 5: If you're listening and you live in a unique state
- 3:06Speaker 5: and you want to do an interview on the twenty
- 3:08Speaker 5: sixth of it, let us know, because it's gonna be
- 3:12Speaker 5: a tough day to get some reports, but we're gonna
- 3:14Speaker 5: do our best to get good reports around the country
- 3:16Speaker 5: for everybody, and we've done it this week.
- 3:19Speaker 4: But man, if you're a Mexican big report, I can
- 3:22Speaker 4: probably give you that.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yeah, what do you what are you fixing to get
- 3:25Speaker 2: there for lunch?
- 3:27Speaker 5: Well, I think this is a place that's known for
- 3:30Speaker 5: its burritos, so.
- 3:33Speaker 4: I feel as if it's gonna be a little bit
- 3:35Speaker 4: you know, text mix.
- 3:37Speaker 5: But if I had to imagine, I'm gonna get a
- 3:39Speaker 5: l past door, which is roasted pork for the old
- 3:44Speaker 5: of all that don't know, and it's pork that's flavored with.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Uh more chili powdered you can handle.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like chili's are bullets or something like that.
- 3:52Speaker 5: You know, it's rehydrated chili's and pineapple, which is really
- 3:56Speaker 5: really good. And then I'm probably gonna eat some people
- 4:00Speaker 5: the guy with that and some sour cream.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Which I know you yellow, yeah, I see him.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Uh And then uh yeah, I might wash it down
- 4:13Speaker 5: with a big old glass coke if I get the chance.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Dude, That's exactly what I yesterday, except for old Gordidas
- 4:19Speaker 2: didn't really offer the pineapple up cell there, which I
- 4:23Speaker 2: really am sad about. But it is a good It
- 4:26Speaker 2: is a good thing to have. But the Mexican coke,
- 4:29Speaker 2: you know, there's a lot of people probably listening don't
- 4:31Speaker 2: understand the difference in a coke and a Mexican coke.
- 4:34Speaker 2: And there's a difference.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Well, the main difference is in Mexican coke is made
- 4:37Speaker 4: with cane sugar. It ain't made with corn SRP.
- 4:40Speaker 2: So yeah, and you know what diet cokes are made
- 4:43Speaker 2: from Mexico? Oh, same thing. Yeah, Yeah, it's a it's
- 4:49Speaker 2: called I think it's called coke light coke. Yeah. So
- 4:52Speaker 2: they just put less sugar. Got one of those in here.
- 4:54Speaker 4: That sounds pretty good.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I bet that sounds real good. Hey, so some
- 5:00Speaker 2: cultures don't accept all this high fructose stuff. Man, red dyes,
- 5:04Speaker 2: you know, I know red forty is one of your
- 5:06Speaker 2: favorite ingredients.
- 5:07Speaker 4: But you know, I stopped at thirty nine. We'll go.
- 5:12Speaker 5: You're talking about Texas having diverse ruts.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Didn't you see some road action in East Texas yourself
- 5:18Speaker 4: this week?
- 5:19Speaker 2: Dube? Like I said, we're seven something hours apart probably,
- 5:22Speaker 2: And I was in a rut fest yesterday morning. Actually
- 5:27Speaker 2: I was. I was hanging out in the swamp lands
- 5:31Speaker 2: of East Texas. We were hunting hogs. I was, I
- 5:34Speaker 2: was hunting hogs. Eric was filming and we make a
- 5:40Speaker 2: loop down into the wind, come back up into the wind,
- 5:43Speaker 2: and we're gonna work through these greenbrier thickets. It's kind
- 5:46Speaker 2: of got the understory under the trees. It's fairly open.
- 5:49Speaker 2: There's like some taller grass sections and stuff and and
- 5:52Speaker 2: but there's greenbrier thickets. These pigs like to bet up in.
- 5:55Speaker 2: So in the morning about I don't know what time
- 5:57Speaker 2: it was, was probably eight thirty. We're coming back through these
- 5:59Speaker 2: green I think it's in. I come around the edge
- 6:01Speaker 2: of one and I see it what looks like a deer,
- 6:04Speaker 2: you know, eighty yards and sure enough starts moving. So
- 6:08Speaker 2: we chill and long story short, we were in a
- 6:11Speaker 2: twenty five minute just snorting and grunting, snort, weason and
- 6:16Speaker 2: grunting and running rutfest with two bucks and about four
- 6:21Speaker 2: dose and one of the dose. I guess the six
- 6:24Speaker 2: month old, you know, fawn was was soon to be
- 6:28Speaker 2: in heat, and dude, I had like a nice ten point.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I'm talking like probably you know, here's the thing is
- 6:36Speaker 2: it probably like maybe mid one thirties type of ten point.
- 6:41Speaker 2: But you know, if you look at it respective to
- 6:43Speaker 2: its body, it's a sizeable deer, you know.
- 6:47Speaker 4: A good sized deer. I mean that thing weighs one
- 6:49Speaker 4: hundred and seventy pounds.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Maybe, Max. I don't think it weighs that because I
- 6:53Speaker 2: think this deer might not be four. Oh really yeah,
- 6:56Speaker 2: And so I mean he's he's he's he's three, but
- 7:00Speaker 2: I don't know if he's four for sure. And he's
- 7:03Speaker 2: just running like crazy, dude, just chasing these things, like
- 7:06Speaker 2: I said, snortweez, and it was cool. We stayed there,
- 7:09Speaker 2: like E said, for twenty five minutes, and he ran
- 7:11Speaker 2: through a couple of times. Had him at forty nine
- 7:13Speaker 2: broadside with a bow in my hand, and the landowner
- 7:17Speaker 2: hasn't given us permission to deer hunt, so I respectfully
- 7:21Speaker 2: passed on him. I actually never even considered it, you know,
- 7:26Speaker 2: because this is a good friend of mine and I
- 7:28Speaker 2: don't want to. I would never do that if he
- 7:31Speaker 2: didn't want me to at all.
- 7:32Speaker 4: So you should have drew on him just to see
- 7:34Speaker 4: if he could do it, you know.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, No, that's what you do on TV, don't you.
- 7:37Speaker 2: You know, he drawing on point at him, and even
- 7:41Speaker 2: though you don't have the intention of killing that thing,
- 7:43Speaker 2: if your bow goes off, it kills him.
- 7:44Speaker 5: So you know, a good friend of ours, Chris, Well,
- 7:49Speaker 5: he thought he just wanted to draw back on a
- 7:51Speaker 5: buck this year to see if he could do it.
- 7:53Speaker 4: And he drew back and he's like, you know what, yo.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's funny how that happens.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, killer's killed. So you don't want to
- 8:00Speaker 4: put yourself in that situation.
- 8:01Speaker 2: No, that's a that's a flirting with temptations. Not a
- 8:04Speaker 2: good thing, you know. So that's it, man, that's it.
- 8:07Speaker 2: That's it.
- 8:07Speaker 4: It sounds like you saw some exciting stuff this week.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Who else did we get.
- 8:10Speaker 6: To hear from this week?
- 8:11Speaker 2: Well, there's a guy that's going to be a breed
- 8:14Speaker 2: to Aida in that truck with you, old Greg and
- 8:18Speaker 2: he uh he gave me the report from y'all's neck
- 8:21Speaker 2: of the woods this week, so you'll be hearing that.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Michael Morgan, brother of Levi. If you guys know Levi Morgan,
- 8:28Speaker 2: he's a fairly popular bow hunter and bow shooter. Micah
- 8:34Speaker 2: was in Mississippi with Levi.
- 8:36Speaker 5: I think is the one that throws it down on
- 8:39Speaker 5: the footage most of the time.
- 8:40Speaker 2: That's right. He's usually videoing, but I think it gets
- 8:42Speaker 2: about a week a year to hunt. And he killed
- 8:45Speaker 2: him a good buck in Mississippi. He has a report
- 8:47Speaker 2: for us there. We talked to Mark Haslam earlier this
- 8:51Speaker 2: year from South Carolina. Got a really unique property and
- 8:53Speaker 2: a unique area for deer hunting. Apparently there's lots of
- 8:56Speaker 2: deer in that neck of his neck of the woods
- 8:58Speaker 2: and uh, kind of a different rut. So we get
- 9:01Speaker 2: to hear from him out in South Carolina. And then
- 9:04Speaker 2: another guy we've heard from this year, different state, Anthony
- 9:07Speaker 2: Warren in Kentucky. He's been hunting the late season stuff there,
- 9:12Speaker 2: which he actually kind of likes, I think, especially when
- 9:14Speaker 2: he gets a little cooler weather. He likes that stuff.
- 9:17Speaker 2: So we'll get to hear from those guys, and then
- 9:19Speaker 2: hopefully next week we get a big buck down report
- 9:23Speaker 2: from you guys.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Man, I would love to bring it.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I've got Greg Latham, he's actually with the Element and
- 9:31Speaker 2: he's in Texas. Greg, you have hunted Texas the last
- 9:35Speaker 2: couple of weeks and you've been I don't know, hunting
- 9:38Speaker 2: places that are seven hours from each other. So it's
- 9:42Speaker 2: a big state. There's a lot going on. But let's
- 9:44Speaker 2: talk about what you've been seeing recently in the deer
- 9:47Speaker 2: hunting woods.
- 9:49Speaker 7: Yeah, I end up killing a buck in the hill
- 9:53Speaker 7: country a couple of weeks ago, and he was on
- 9:56Speaker 7: the cruise, called him on a bunch of trail cameras
- 10:01Speaker 7: and I actually saw him that day before I killed him.
- 10:04Speaker 5: But he was.
- 10:06Speaker 7: Seemed like he was running laps around the property. And
- 10:09Speaker 7: this was on what November twenty fourth? M hm, so
- 10:13Speaker 7: like right about Thanksgiving? I mean he was he was cruising.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Hard, gotcha? So what I mean, like recently, what's been
- 10:21Speaker 2: going on in the in the woods when you've been
- 10:23Speaker 2: hunting Texas.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Now recently down in South Texas different rut dates, but uh,
- 10:30Speaker 7: here the last couple of days, it's been they've been
- 10:34Speaker 7: fired up. Like I've seen I've seen a bunch of
- 10:37Speaker 7: young bucks cruising and right behind DOZ. But uh this morning,
- 10:43Speaker 7: it seemed like seemed like the big seemed like the
- 10:46Speaker 7: big bucks were on their feet cruising.
- 10:50Speaker 2: So doing seeing some cruising.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Uh.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I know you and I talked off air a little
- 10:54Speaker 2: bit that seemed like there may be in I think
- 10:57Speaker 2: k C was talking to me about some stuff that
- 10:59Speaker 2: might be seeing some lockdown type stuff happening too.
- 11:05Speaker 7: Yeah, me in case, you're pretty close together this morning
- 11:09Speaker 7: and we were both on lockdown bucks the whole time.
- 11:14Speaker 7: I saw probably three bucks over three and a half
- 11:16Speaker 7: years old. Just you know, you could tell they were
- 11:20Speaker 7: doing the stair. They're on lockdown and things are starting
- 11:26Speaker 7: to get fired up down to South Texas.
- 11:28Speaker 2: What do you focus on when you're like, I'm going
- 11:31Speaker 2: to go in there this morning to see if there's
- 11:33Speaker 2: some bucks around there.
- 11:35Speaker 7: I'm mostly just trying to, you know, ease my way
- 11:38Speaker 7: in and get on a high point where I can
- 11:41Speaker 7: see a long distance, and I'm just looking for when
- 11:46Speaker 7: the sun comes up, they really light up. But I'm
- 11:48Speaker 7: just looking for. You'll see satellite bucks cruising around and
- 11:52Speaker 7: that usually points in the right direction where you need
- 11:55Speaker 7: to be.
- 11:56Speaker 2: So just kind of following the satellite bucks until you
- 11:58Speaker 2: get into a rut faster or some sort of lockdown situation.
- 12:02Speaker 7: Yeah, That's that's the basic idea of what I've been
- 12:04Speaker 7: trying to do.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Gotcha, is there is there any Are they feeding on anything?
- 12:09Speaker 2: Are they are you able to kind of see if
- 12:12Speaker 2: there's a bed to feed pattern at all or is
- 12:14Speaker 2: it just a lot of just brush country crewis and
- 12:16Speaker 2: type stuff.
- 12:18Speaker 7: It seems to be a lot of brush country crews,
- 12:20Speaker 7: and I mean it seems like they pretty much feed wherever,
- 12:24Speaker 7: Like it's uh, there's tons of diverse plants and stuff
- 12:29Speaker 7: to eat, so there they could be anywhere and they're everywhere.
- 12:35Speaker 2: M h. So do the dose seem receptive yet? Would
- 12:40Speaker 2: you say that like there there's quite a bit of
- 12:43Speaker 2: breeding going on or are we still are these bucks
- 12:46Speaker 2: still waiting for the for the majority of the dose
- 12:48Speaker 2: to be receptive if you had to guess, I.
- 12:51Speaker 7: Feel like it's it's right on the cusp, but it
- 12:54Speaker 7: hasn't happened yet. But like the next two to three days,
- 12:57Speaker 7: it's gonna be it's gonna.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Be crazy, gotcha. Okay, So in that next two to
- 13:03Speaker 2: three days, are you still going to focus on getting
- 13:06Speaker 2: up high and seeing deer or would you change your
- 13:08Speaker 2: tactics at all? And what do you think the deer
- 13:11Speaker 2: will do as things change a little bit.
- 13:14Speaker 7: It's I think the big bucks seem to push the
- 13:18Speaker 7: doughs off into like weird spots that other bucks can't
- 13:23Speaker 7: get down wind of them, And so I feel like
- 13:28Speaker 7: getting up you know, say, maybe it's a clip for
- 13:33Speaker 7: just a some kind of thicket that a buck will
- 13:38Speaker 7: push a dough up in getting in an area like that,
- 13:41Speaker 7: could really be beneficial.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Yeah, would you would you say a highway or a
- 13:48Speaker 2: road would be a place that that would happen to maybe.
- 13:51Speaker 7: Yeah, highway road, any kind of just place where a
- 13:55Speaker 7: deer is not going.
- 13:56Speaker 2: To be.
- 13:58Speaker 7: A big buck might push a dough up up again,
- 14:01Speaker 7: something like that.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Gotcha, So checking out the spots that are kind of unsuspecting.
- 14:07Speaker 2: So if you had to put a number on it,
- 14:09Speaker 2: one to ten, what do you think buck movement will
- 14:11Speaker 2: be like after? You know, basically I don't know the
- 14:17Speaker 2: twentieth or so, I'd.
- 14:20Speaker 7: Say, where we're hunting right now, it's the next the
- 14:24Speaker 7: next week or so. I given an eight. Oh yeah,
- 14:27Speaker 7: like it's it's about to pop off down here.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. So in your mind, is a ten is
- 14:35Speaker 2: that is it? Does a ten happen every year? Or
- 14:37Speaker 2: is it ten the best of all time?
- 14:40Speaker 7: I think a ten might be best of all time.
- 14:43Speaker 7: A nine happens every year?
- 14:44Speaker 2: I think, Okay, I got you. See, when I think
- 14:47Speaker 2: about it, I consider a ten is scale of one
- 14:50Speaker 2: to ten is like the best day of the year.
- 14:52Speaker 2: So I always I'm interested in how people perceive that.
- 14:55Speaker 2: So anyway, I appreciate the report.
- 14:57Speaker 8: Greg.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I hope you get a mondo for the those who
- 15:00Speaker 2: are interested. Greg actually hunted with you. Guys know him
- 15:05Speaker 2: as Mark Kenyon on a hunt last year on the
- 15:08Speaker 2: Buck Truck series and killed a buck on that video.
- 15:11Speaker 2: You can see it on the Mediator channel, so check
- 15:13Speaker 2: it out. Thanks a bunch, Greg, all right, no problem,
- 15:16Speaker 2: All right, now I've got Michael Morgan on the phone.
- 15:18Speaker 2: He's the brother of Levi as we talked about earlier
- 15:22Speaker 2: off the air. Michah, what's been going on, man.
- 15:25Speaker 8: Oh, not much, just been chasing white tell us since September. Yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 8: they start down a little bit.
- 15:33Speaker 2: I know the feeling, man, it's it's good to be
- 15:35Speaker 2: homes at the end of the year, for sure, man,
- 15:37Speaker 2: this time of year especially, absolutely. Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 15:43Speaker 2: So you've been in Mississippi recently and it looked like
- 15:47Speaker 2: he had some success. I guess you get to get
- 15:49Speaker 2: in front of the camera sometimes or that was there
- 15:51Speaker 2: no cameras running?
- 15:53Speaker 8: Yeah I did. I get about maybe a week two
- 15:57Speaker 8: weeks out of the year to hunt for myself and
- 16:00Speaker 8: that was one of them. And yeah, we got it
- 16:02Speaker 8: all on film. So it was a heck.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Of a week for sure.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Cool man, that's awesome. What what was what was the
- 16:08Speaker 2: deer herd doing where you're at?
- 16:12Speaker 8: That was pretty peak rut down where we were at
- 16:15Speaker 8: that time of the year.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Bucks were chasing little.
- 16:19Speaker 8: Bucks, were you know, surrounding the buck with the doughs,
- 16:22Speaker 8: trying to get in on him, running them off. Just
- 16:25Speaker 8: pretty much your peak rut activity.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, that's cool. So with the buck you shot, was
- 16:30Speaker 2: he actually chasing or what was he doing? No?
- 16:33Speaker 8: He actually I'm assuming he had just left the dough
- 16:37Speaker 8: because we had pictures of him about five days before
- 16:42Speaker 8: I seen him and he was with a dough and
- 16:46Speaker 8: we he completely disappeared, so we assumed he was locked
- 16:50Speaker 8: down somewhere, and when I seen him, he was actually
- 16:54Speaker 8: by himself, so he was off his dough, cruising probably
- 16:57Speaker 8: for another one.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Gotcha were you since you're hunting a like an agfield
- 17:02Speaker 2: or a food plot.
- 17:05Speaker 8: I wasn't. I was actually in the in the hardwoods
- 17:09Speaker 8: and down there kind of where we hunt. You're hunting
- 17:14Speaker 8: structure and like the ridge might only be five feet tall,
- 17:19Speaker 8: but that's what they're on. They're cruising that ridge, you know,
- 17:22Speaker 8: going from thicket to thicket. So I was kind of
- 17:26Speaker 8: in between. I was on the edge of a field
- 17:28Speaker 8: probably one hundred and fifty yards and that buck was
- 17:34Speaker 8: just cruising. He had came out of one thicket and
- 17:38Speaker 8: I saw him for maybe ten seconds. He was headed
- 17:40Speaker 8: for another thicket and I wound up having to grun
- 17:43Speaker 8: him from about one hundred yards all the way in.
- 17:46Speaker 2: So that's cool.
- 17:47Speaker 8: Cis pretty heavy.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, So those those ridges are just I guess
- 17:52Speaker 2: you're you're hunting in pretty low land country. I'm guessing,
- 17:55Speaker 2: is that right?
- 17:56Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 17:56Speaker 2: And so those ridges Mississippi okay, and those I'm guessing
- 18:01Speaker 2: you know, in my experience, at least those ridges are
- 18:03Speaker 2: kind of where some underbrush will grow because it doesn't
- 18:06Speaker 2: flood as often as the other stuff. I'm guessing, right,
- 18:09Speaker 2: So that's why the stick it's there. Okay. So are
- 18:12Speaker 2: there oak trees in the area.
- 18:14Speaker 8: There are oak trees. Yeah, and uh, normally, like earlier
- 18:18Speaker 8: in the season, that's what we're hunting around, is oak
- 18:20Speaker 8: trees and any kind of for simon trees. But this
- 18:24Speaker 8: time of year, they're not very interested in food, so
- 18:27Speaker 8: you're really just hunting the structure.
- 18:29Speaker 2: I got you, Okay, So if things were, if you're
- 18:33Speaker 2: hunting next week, with things change, would you still stay
- 18:36Speaker 2: on the ridges? Do you think it's going to be
- 18:38Speaker 2: still pretty rut heavy or what do you think is
- 18:40Speaker 2: going to happen?
- 18:42Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean it is kind of hard to say.
- 18:45Speaker 8: Now we've hunted down there for the last i'd say
- 18:49Speaker 8: six years, and for probably the first three weeks in
- 18:54Speaker 8: November or of December, it's pretty rut heavy. I mean,
- 18:58Speaker 8: they're they're rutting and doing their thing up until really
- 19:01Speaker 8: around Christmas the New Year's and even even after New
- 19:05Speaker 8: Year's there's still a few doz in heat and they're
- 19:07Speaker 8: still chasing. So I would probably be doing the same
- 19:11Speaker 8: thing next week if I was, if I was hunting.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Gotcha, did you do any calling this past week?
- 19:17Speaker 8: I did a little bit normally. When I would see
- 19:21Speaker 8: one and he was going the opposite way, that's when
- 19:24Speaker 8: I would call. It's really hard to do any kind
- 19:27Speaker 8: of blind calling down there, just because it's so thick.
- 19:30Speaker 8: They can get in behind you, and most of the time,
- 19:33Speaker 8: those big mature ones, that's what they're doing, they're coming
- 19:35Speaker 8: down window.
- 19:36Speaker 2: You sure sure.
- 19:38Speaker 8: Did a little bit, though. I did do a little bit.
- 19:39Speaker 8: If it got slow, I might hit the horns together.
- 19:43Speaker 2: But it's hard, not a whole lot. It's hard not
- 19:45Speaker 2: to when you're sitting there, just like, man, I kind
- 19:47Speaker 2: of want to make something happen right now.
- 19:50Speaker 8: Yeah, you know there's one clothes ain't seeing them.
- 19:53Speaker 2: But yeah, so would you do a whole lot? Would
- 19:56Speaker 2: you still continue in the next week rattling? And would
- 20:00Speaker 2: you do any blind calling at all? Does it change
- 20:02Speaker 2: or is it pretty much the same tactics?
- 20:07Speaker 8: I honestly, I will do blind calling if I can
- 20:11Speaker 8: back myself up to the Mississippi River and have that
- 20:13Speaker 8: wind blowing over where they can't get down wind of me.
- 20:16Speaker 8: Or if I'm hunting a spot where it's open down wind,
- 20:20Speaker 8: where I can see them coming and I can potentially
- 20:23Speaker 8: if they're trying to circle down, win, you can get
- 20:26Speaker 8: a little more aggressive and potentially turn them before they
- 20:29Speaker 8: get down win. But yeah, we'll probably what I would do.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Okay, So in the next week, if you had to
- 20:38Speaker 2: put a number on the buck movement on a scale
- 20:41Speaker 2: of one to ten, what would you rate it in
- 20:44Speaker 2: the next week?
- 20:45Speaker 8: I would probably put it up to a seven or eight,
- 20:48Speaker 8: all right, And that's going off of where we hunt
- 20:51Speaker 8: down there. It's normally rolling pretty good still.
- 20:54Speaker 2: So okay, awesome, man, Well, I appreciate the report, dude,
- 21:00Speaker 2: and I hope you guys have a blessed Christmas and
- 21:02Speaker 2: a good rest of your season. Man. It's it's been
- 21:04Speaker 2: good fun fun watching you guys, and it looks like
- 21:07Speaker 2: you've had a great season you leave.
- 21:08Speaker 8: I both absolutely, man, I appreciate the time, and uh,
- 21:13Speaker 8: I hope you guys have a blessed Christmas as well.
- 21:17Speaker 2: All right, I've got Mark Haslam. He's out in South
- 21:32Speaker 2: Carolina and we had him earlier this year. Uh. Now
- 21:35Speaker 2: we're on the opposite side of what the people traditionally
- 21:38Speaker 2: think of the rut. Is it is that the case
- 21:40Speaker 2: for you or or what is the rut like in
- 21:42Speaker 2: your area? Mark?
- 21:44Speaker 6: That's right, Tyler.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Our our rut activity as far as breeding will start
- 21:51Speaker 3: the third week in October. I'm in the midlands of
- 21:54Speaker 3: South Carolina, but that's the portion of South Carolina Georgia.
- 21:58Speaker 6: It's going to start the third fourth weekends, gotcha.
- 22:00Speaker 2: So we're looking at pretty far removed from the rut.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Probably a lot of post rut here. And you've been
- 22:06Speaker 2: hunting the last week or so. What's that all look
- 22:09Speaker 2: like for you?
- 22:12Speaker 6: Right now?
- 22:12Speaker 3: Most of our deer heard they are back just pounding
- 22:16Speaker 3: food sources whether it's a late seasonal winter food plot
- 22:21Speaker 3: or if maybe there's still some acorns on the ground
- 22:25Speaker 3: or trying to hints hitting some remnants that's left in
- 22:29Speaker 3: agricultural fields which are all harvested right now. But it's
- 22:33Speaker 3: it's good and cold down here finally in the South,
- 22:36Speaker 3: and we've gotten a lot of rain, especially as past
- 22:39Speaker 3: this past week, tons.
- 22:41Speaker 6: Of rain with that cold weather.
- 22:42Speaker 3: So these deer, they've been out on my cameras earlier
- 22:46Speaker 3: in the afternoon and just pounding food sources, which is
- 22:49Speaker 3: what it should be doing. You know, they're burning bringing
- 22:53Speaker 3: more calories right.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Now the cold.
- 22:54Speaker 3: And as far as read activity and bucks, we're still
- 22:59Speaker 3: seeing in some some some some some fresh grapes and rubs,
- 23:04Speaker 3: and you know that's from what my cameras are showing.
- 23:07Speaker 6: That's mostly younger bucks.
- 23:08Speaker 9: But if you are in an area we have a
- 23:11Speaker 9: lot of if the dozed pot dough population is a
- 23:14Speaker 9: little out of whack, you might have some doz of
- 23:17Speaker 9: warm bread the first cycle or two that could be
- 23:20Speaker 9: cycling back back in.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Gotcha, Are you seeing mature bucks showing up on that
- 23:25Speaker 2: food before dark right now or not? Yes, yes, I.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Am I we haven't seen any mature buck rut type behavior.
- 23:35Speaker 6: They are back.
- 23:38Speaker 3: I've been running more cameras right now, kind of in
- 23:40Speaker 3: the season, trying to see what, you know, what we
- 23:43Speaker 3: have survey wise, because our season ends January first, and
- 23:47Speaker 3: I am getting some nice up and comers. And there's
- 23:50Speaker 3: a couple of shooters that have made it through the
- 23:52Speaker 3: season that are coming out an hour before uh dark
- 23:57Speaker 3: and they are just pounding that food, probably trying to
- 24:00Speaker 3: put some weight back on.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Sure. Okay, so and you you guys have been killing
- 24:04Speaker 2: some dose I guess lately.
- 24:06Speaker 6: Yes, we are.
- 24:07Speaker 3: We have been trying to hit our management number and
- 24:10Speaker 3: we are I think on track to have a record
- 24:13Speaker 3: year at the farm for for for total total total
- 24:17Speaker 3: dos and actually took total deer killed.
- 24:19Speaker 6: And right now.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I've shot a couple last week, and you know, killing
- 24:25Speaker 3: those right now, you've just got to be unpredictable because
- 24:29Speaker 3: they've been they've been Deer across the board have been
- 24:32Speaker 3: hunted hard in South Carolina since mid September, if not
- 24:37Speaker 3: mid mid August.
- 24:38Speaker 6: They've seen it all.
- 24:39Speaker 3: So I've been concentrating on dough betting sites, and some
- 24:44Speaker 3: of those betting sites can shift because right now we
- 24:47Speaker 3: finally have some good frost and most of our leaves
- 24:50Speaker 3: are off the ground finally, so some of the betting
- 24:53Speaker 3: that was there in September October might have changed by now,
- 24:56Speaker 3: some of those might have opened up. And also with
- 24:59Speaker 3: it being cold all of a sudden south which we
- 25:02Speaker 3: really haven't had so far, they are betting in some
- 25:05Speaker 3: open you know, open areas, old fields, broom stage grass,
- 25:11Speaker 3: you know, basically to get some cover, but they're within
- 25:14Speaker 3: sunlight during the day to keep warm.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Sure. So you guys, part of this dough harvest, and
- 25:23Speaker 2: what you what you can probably tell as a listener
- 25:24Speaker 2: from this is that you're you're pretty intensive about the
- 25:27Speaker 2: way you manage this. What are you learning from the
- 25:29Speaker 2: dough harvest right now.
- 25:32Speaker 6: Tyler Man, we learned all kinds stuff.
- 25:34Speaker 2: We Uh.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Last week, my father killed a seventy seven pound fawn
- 25:40Speaker 3: dough that was bred roughly November second, So that was
- 25:45Speaker 3: a milestone for us. Wow, a fon dough that was
- 25:48Speaker 3: born six months ago reached sexual maturity and she was
- 25:52Speaker 3: bred November second, So that's told us that there's a
- 25:55Speaker 3: lot more doughs that are going in the heat.
- 25:58Speaker 6: Late October early November.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Then we once thought that's a very that's a sign
- 26:04Speaker 3: of a healthy, healthy dough. And right now you know
- 26:07Speaker 3: killing dose. Whether you're on public land a private land,
- 26:11Speaker 3: if you are able to take a dough, you can
- 26:15Speaker 3: you know, look for that uh, reproductive track and you
- 26:20Speaker 3: can pick up a very inexpensive feet of scale and
- 26:25Speaker 3: you can open up and it's it's it's it's creative
- 26:28Speaker 3: a biologist Joe Hamilton, and it will tell you pretty
- 26:30Speaker 3: pretty precisely exactly when that dough is bred.
- 26:34Speaker 6: So if you can figure that out.
- 26:35Speaker 3: And you get a couple a couple of samples, like
- 26:37Speaker 3: I said, anywhere in the country, as long as the
- 26:39Speaker 3: dose are about thirty thirty five days post breeding, you'll
- 26:43Speaker 3: know when they were bred. And then the week prior
- 26:46Speaker 3: leading up to that, that's when the bucks are going
- 26:49Speaker 3: to be on their feet, chasing on the.
- 26:51Speaker 6: Prow waiting for those doughs to have that receptive window.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Gotcha, gotcha, man, that's good information. So in the next week,
- 26:59Speaker 2: would you would you change anything about what you guys
- 27:01Speaker 2: are doing? Are you gonna stick with the plan? Pretty much?
- 27:04Speaker 6: We're gonna sit with the plan, Tyler.
- 27:06Speaker 3: I think the rest of the season that has been unpredictable,
- 27:09Speaker 3: and I know that's obvious to all the listeners, but
- 27:12Speaker 3: you've really got to understand that. You know, this is
- 27:14Speaker 3: a it's a prey creditor relationship. They're trying to live
- 27:19Speaker 3: and we're trying to fill tagged so they've seen a
- 27:21Speaker 3: lot so far this season. I'm gonna be hunting very
- 27:25Speaker 3: tight at bedding, trying to figure out where they're feeding
- 27:27Speaker 3: and cutting them off at first lights. And you know,
- 27:31Speaker 3: keep in mind, especially in the South, we're experiencing some
- 27:34Speaker 3: very cold weather, very wet conditions, and the deer should
- 27:37Speaker 3: be out trying to you know, fee as much as
- 27:41Speaker 3: they can because they're burning a lot more calories.
- 27:44Speaker 2: So in the next week, if you had to put
- 27:46Speaker 2: a number on it for buck movement, let's just talk
- 27:49Speaker 2: about bucks. On a scale of one to ten, what
- 27:51Speaker 2: would you rate the buck movement?
- 27:55Speaker 3: I all say the buck movement, my opinion is gonna
- 27:58Speaker 3: be about six or seven, all right.
- 27:59Speaker 6: And the reason why, the reason why.
- 28:00Speaker 3: I say that is that if someone's hunting smartly. A
- 28:04Speaker 3: lot of our hunters, because our seasons start so early,
- 28:08Speaker 3: they're done. They've already filled the freezer, so to speak.
- 28:11Speaker 3: They've shot a buck or two, and we see a
- 28:13Speaker 3: lot of hunters across the board. Just start taping you
- 28:17Speaker 3: tailoring off hunting right now and is less people in
- 28:20Speaker 3: the woods.
- 28:21Speaker 6: Duck season's open, so you know, the rut's over for
- 28:25Speaker 6: the most part, and his bucks will be up moving.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Just hunt smart, figure out where they're going to be,
- 28:31Speaker 3: and get after him.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Awesome, dude. Well, thank you for the report, Mark, and
- 28:35Speaker 2: we'll be talking to you again next year.
- 28:36Speaker 6: I imagine, absolutely, Thanks Tyler.
- 28:40Speaker 2: All right on the phone, I've got Anthony Warren. He
- 28:42Speaker 2: is a good buddy of mine. He's been on the
- 28:44Speaker 2: podcast already once this year. He's been on it a
- 28:47Speaker 2: couple of times in the last year, and it's because
- 28:50Speaker 2: he's just a big buck killer and he spends a
- 28:52Speaker 2: lot of time out in the woods. Anthony, what's been
- 28:54Speaker 2: going on, dude? Oh? Not much, man.
- 28:56Speaker 10: I don't know if i'd be considered a big buck killer.
- 28:59Speaker 2: But uh you yeah, so you've been, uh, you've been
- 29:05Speaker 2: spending some time in Kentucky. Correct, Yes, So what's uh,
- 29:09Speaker 2: what's the what's the consensus? Man? How's the deer movement
- 29:12Speaker 2: look out there right now?
- 29:15Speaker 10: Yeah? It's I think we're kind of in a slight
- 29:17Speaker 10: transition right now.
- 29:20Speaker 11: We've kind of been dealing.
- 29:21Speaker 10: With some some warmer weather and we just kind of
- 29:23Speaker 10: got into the last few days we've got some real
- 29:26Speaker 10: good crisp cold weather, and so you know, it's been
- 29:32Speaker 10: it's been slow, but traditionally around this date range, uh,
- 29:37Speaker 10: you know, probably the last three.
- 29:39Speaker 11: Or so days and probably the.
- 29:41Speaker 10: Next three or so days, I've actually seen a pretty
- 29:44Speaker 10: good movement historically.
- 29:46Speaker 11: Seems like some of these.
- 29:47Speaker 10: Younger dough fonds are coming into their first estrus, and
- 29:52Speaker 10: you know, it seems like if you can be in
- 29:55Speaker 10: the woods right now this time of year, you can
- 29:57Speaker 10: generally find you know, know some kind of buck activity,
- 30:02Speaker 10: you know, still doing some chase and maybe hitting some scrapes.
- 30:05Speaker 10: I've had a lot of historical data around scrapes right now,
- 30:08Speaker 10: just bucks are really scratching at the last last few
- 30:12Speaker 10: opportunities out there and kind of really getting back to
- 30:17Speaker 10: a food pattern.
- 30:18Speaker 11: So we're it's kind of a neat time of month for.
- 30:23Speaker 10: Me just looking back historically, and so I think right
- 30:28Speaker 10: now it's been a little slow, but it's I'm thinking
- 30:31Speaker 10: it might pick back up, especially if we can hold
- 30:34Speaker 10: some consistently cold tempts.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Yeah, So what's a you think some of this kind
- 30:40Speaker 2: of movement picking up, be could you attribute that to
- 30:42Speaker 2: less people in the woods. Are you see any hunting
- 30:44Speaker 2: pressure out there?
- 30:46Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean there's a few factors.
- 30:49Speaker 10: You know, really, once you hit Thanksgiving, at least in
- 30:54Speaker 10: my neck of the woods, the hunting pressure kind of
- 30:56Speaker 10: drops off significantly.
- 30:58Speaker 11: You know, you'll have you'll have some of the guys
- 31:00Speaker 11: that are pretty serious that are still out.
- 31:02Speaker 10: There grinding, and uh, for the most part, I think
- 31:06Speaker 10: that attributes some, you know, some of the movement. I
- 31:09Speaker 10: also feel like this time of year you get a
- 31:12Speaker 10: lot of deer who, you know, they just want to
- 31:15Speaker 10: get back to food, and really the dose never leave that,
- 31:18Speaker 10: but the bucks kind of do. And so I think,
- 31:21Speaker 10: you know, the bucks kind of start getting back toward patterns.
- 31:24Speaker 8: I feel like you.
- 31:25Speaker 10: Can find some bucks that will just sh you know,
- 31:28Speaker 10: they've showed, they've showed up, and maybe they're they're not
- 31:32Speaker 10: necessarily in a historical home range, but they've kind of
- 31:36Speaker 10: just ended up somewhere wandering looking for you know, the
- 31:39Speaker 10: last few opportunities, and generally those are close to food sources.
- 31:44Speaker 10: So and then of course, cold temperatures help really, especially
- 31:49Speaker 10: if you want to get a buck on his feet
- 31:51Speaker 10: in daylight. This time of year, I feel like the
- 31:54Speaker 10: colder the weather is the better chance and opportunity you
- 31:58Speaker 10: have of seeing those deer or those bucks up on
- 32:01Speaker 10: their feet in daylight.
- 32:02Speaker 2: What kind of food sources do you like?
- 32:05Speaker 10: Yeah, so this time of year, a lot of our
- 32:07Speaker 10: ag is picked, but you'll have you know, a lot
- 32:10Speaker 10: of just like you know, green like weeds and stuff
- 32:14Speaker 10: like that that will kind of start popping up in
- 32:16Speaker 10: the fields, especially on these sunny days, and the deer
- 32:19Speaker 10: will go out and you know they kind of you know,
- 32:22Speaker 10: forage around on that stuff.
- 32:24Speaker 11: You know, you might have a few places.
- 32:26Speaker 10: Where there might be you know, some old standing beans
- 32:29Speaker 10: left on the.
- 32:29Speaker 6: Back corner of a field.
- 32:31Speaker 11: Usually that kind of stuff I'll key in on.
- 32:34Speaker 10: And then you know a cornfield, you know, really around
- 32:37Speaker 10: this time of year, you know, the deer might be
- 32:40Speaker 10: finding a few corn kernels. The downside of technology is
- 32:44Speaker 10: that a lot of these combines have gotten so good
- 32:47Speaker 10: about not having a ton of spillage, is that there's
- 32:49Speaker 10: really not a whole lot of corn left for these
- 32:52Speaker 10: deer to go pick. But you will see them kind
- 32:54Speaker 10: of out out in the fields trying to find any
- 32:57Speaker 10: corn kernels, you know, beans that may have been left,
- 33:00Speaker 10: and then a lot of it is just kind of
- 33:01Speaker 10: like these little weeds that will pop up out in
- 33:03Speaker 10: the field.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Sure, So in the next week, does anything change for
- 33:07Speaker 2: you tactically speaking, or does anything change for the deer?
- 33:13Speaker 10: Yeah, I will probably you know monitor, you know, a
- 33:18Speaker 10: camera or two that I have near a scrape just
- 33:20Speaker 10: to kind of see, you know, what level of activity.
- 33:24Speaker 10: You know that I have most of most of the scrapes,
- 33:27Speaker 10: so they're not going to be like the deep timber
- 33:29Speaker 10: scrapes that I would historically hunt near the root. The
- 33:32Speaker 10: would probably be closer toward you.
- 33:34Speaker 11: Know, those food food sources.
- 33:37Speaker 10: You know. For me, my strategy is really just trying
- 33:40Speaker 10: to get between deer and you know, their.
- 33:44Speaker 11: Bed and food. So if I can be you know,
- 33:47Speaker 11: just on the inside of a.
- 33:49Speaker 10: Corner of a field, you know, where I know a
- 33:52Speaker 10: good trail is historically, or maybe even try to find
- 33:56Speaker 10: like an area where a deer may kind of low
- 33:58Speaker 10: for stage before they hit the big ag fields.
- 34:02Speaker 11: That's really where I want to be.
- 34:04Speaker 10: You know. Really, I'm not hunting a ton of mornings
- 34:07Speaker 10: right now, but mornings are good, especially as cold as
- 34:11Speaker 10: they've been So if you kind of if you can
- 34:14Speaker 10: formulate a strategy to come in from like the back
- 34:17Speaker 10: door and you know, get between that ag and you know,
- 34:22Speaker 10: known betting areas, that's a pretty good strategy. But mainly,
- 34:25Speaker 10: mainly if I can just cut them off between where
- 34:27Speaker 10: they're betting and where they're feeding, that's pretty much my
- 34:30Speaker 10: main strategy right now.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Gotcha. So in that next week, based off of weather
- 34:35Speaker 2: or whatever you think you want to you want to
- 34:37Speaker 2: consider in this equation, what do you guess that buck
- 34:42Speaker 2: movement will be like on a scale of one to
- 34:44Speaker 2: ten if you had to rate it.
- 34:47Speaker 6: Yeah, So it's a little tricky, you know.
- 34:51Speaker 10: I would say that if we hold cold temps, you know,
- 34:54Speaker 10: it's probably going to be somewhere in that four to
- 34:56Speaker 10: five range, just because they are going to get up
- 34:59Speaker 10: and go eat. I would say it could spike to
- 35:03Speaker 10: you know, a six, especially if you find like a
- 35:06Speaker 10: dof on that has come into heat. But I'd say
- 35:10Speaker 10: it's gonna probably be pretty steady at you know, mid
- 35:14Speaker 10: to marginal movement somewhere around a five.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Gotcha.
- 35:17Speaker 10: For all, Like I said, a lot of that's going
- 35:20Speaker 10: to be influenced by how cold we can we can
- 35:23Speaker 10: you know, have the tempts and how hungry the bucks
- 35:26Speaker 10: are after running on them.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, for sure. Well that's awesome, dude. Thanks for
- 35:30Speaker 2: the report. Appreciate the honesty and all the tips and
- 35:33Speaker 2: tactics throughout, man, and I hope you go get them
- 35:36Speaker 2: this week.
- 35:37Speaker 6: Thanks man, I appreciate it.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Those are some great reports. I'm glad we got to
- 35:41Speaker 2: talk about things like field edge hunting, cold fronts, cool weather,
- 35:47Speaker 2: and just killing those because that's what's fun to do
- 35:49Speaker 2: in the late season. Man. That's a good way to
- 35:51Speaker 2: spend a late season afternoon is going out and shoot
- 35:54Speaker 2: some dose. Greg has a video y'all that came out
- 35:58Speaker 2: on our Element YouTube channel that's really cool. Shoots a
- 36:00Speaker 2: nice buck on his family property. It's been his family
- 36:02Speaker 2: for a long time and it's just a really cool
- 36:05Speaker 2: little video. You should go check out on the Element
- 36:07Speaker 2: YouTube channel, subscribe while you're there, and you get to
- 36:10Speaker 2: see all the updates that happened in the new year
- 36:11Speaker 2: from us. Also, Shields has a plethora most of the
- 36:17Speaker 2: stores of a plethora first light year, So if you're
- 36:20Speaker 2: needing a last minute Christmas present, go check out the
- 36:23Speaker 2: Shields stores. You can feel and where and put on
- 36:27Speaker 2: the first light, try it out, and then you can
- 36:29Speaker 2: be like, hey, I need one of these from my friend,
- 36:30Speaker 2: and maybe even one for myself too. If you got
- 36:32Speaker 2: the cash, showlder to do the thing. One last thing
- 36:36Speaker 2: I'd say, guys, is you know there is another week
- 36:38Speaker 2: of this, but we're coming up on Christmas. It looks
- 36:41Speaker 2: perfect on TV. It looks like, you know, you get
- 36:44Speaker 2: Alexis in your smile is suddenly straight and very white
- 36:48Speaker 2: if you're a consumer and you're in the automobile market.
- 36:51Speaker 2: But listen, it's not perfect. You know, nothing's perfect this
- 36:54Speaker 2: time of year. In fact, there's a high chance that
- 36:57Speaker 2: I get in an argument with so many of my family's,
- 36:59Speaker 2: probably my wife over the next few days. I really
- 37:02Speaker 2: really am going to try not to, and I don't
- 37:03Speaker 2: want to, uh, but but it's just not perfect. Nobody
- 37:07Speaker 2: has these perfect families that you see, and everybody is
- 37:10Speaker 2: putting the good stuff on Instagram. They're not putting the
- 37:13Speaker 2: bad stuff on Instagram. And that goes for hunting media too,
- 37:15Speaker 2: right but especially right now around Christmas, I know a
- 37:17Speaker 2: lot of people can feel lonely and maybe forgotten or
- 37:22Speaker 2: or whatever. Reach out reach out to people and uh,
- 37:26Speaker 2: you know, there there's somebody out there that'll tell you
- 37:29Speaker 2: that that they love you. And I mean, you can
- 37:31Speaker 2: reach out to us the Element. I can't promise we'll
- 37:32Speaker 2: see it. We get a lot of messages, but if
- 37:34Speaker 2: I do, I want to, I want you to know
- 37:36Speaker 2: I love you too, man, So appreciate all the people
- 37:40Speaker 2: who pay attention to this podcast and to what we
- 37:43Speaker 2: do at the Element, what Mark does, and we really
- 37:46Speaker 2: I just want to encourage people at this time of
- 37:48Speaker 2: year that there's somebody out there that that'll that'll take
- 37:50Speaker 2: care of you and that will care for you. And
- 37:53Speaker 2: if you don't feel like that's the case, start reaching out,
- 37:56Speaker 2: go to church and and try to reach out to
- 37:58Speaker 2: somebody within organization. I think there's there's places that you
- 38:02Speaker 2: can do it. Don't don't live this season out alone.
- 38:05Speaker 2: But at the same time, understand that the more people
- 38:07Speaker 2: you involve in, the messier we all are and the
- 38:10Speaker 2: more chance there is of us uh, you know, making
- 38:14Speaker 2: it not a perfect Lexus style Christmas, right, Uh. But
- 38:18Speaker 2: I just want you guys to know that, and I
- 38:21Speaker 2: want you to think about that because this is a
- 38:22Speaker 2: tough time of year for a lot of people. So
- 38:24Speaker 2: if you if you got some old friends or people
- 38:26Speaker 2: you need to check on. Check on them.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Uh.
- 38:28Speaker 2: In the meantime, guys, think about the season. The depth
- 38:32Speaker 2: of what it means for us is humanity and UH,
- 38:35Speaker 2: I appreciate you guys listening. This has been right fresh.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Keep it fresh.
