Joey Chestnut didn’t win the Saugus Wing Eating Championship—but he didn’t have to. Australia’s James Webb smashed the world record with 249 wings in 10 minutes, leaving Chestnut in second with 241. The crowd of 2,000 cheered for the hot dog king, but also rallied behind local hero Geoffrey Esper, a science teacher who took third.
