- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the porch.
- 0:30So it is very early off in the distance, still chicken coop
- 0:35there, no rain, no worries today.
- 0:39This whole week is actually going to be very different
- 0:41because I am traveling this week.
- 0:43I am very blessed to have been invited to go out and teach a
- 0:47group of leaders leadership mindset.
- 0:50So I am going to be flying out today and headed to Minnesota to
- 0:56work with Caldwell Banker leaders and I could not be more
- 0:59excited about that. So this week is going to be
- 1:02different. We're going to be on the road
- 1:04and it's starting today. So I thought that I would take
- 1:07you through a little bit of my mindset when I'm having to do
- 1:10something different, not be out here.
- 1:13So this morning, what's always interesting for me is travel day
- 1:16typically is always chaotic, but I really worked hard this time
- 1:22making sure I had everything done way ahead of time so that I
- 1:26could cut down on the chaos because travel days for most
- 1:29people are very chaotic. They have to jump up, they have
- 1:33to get things done. And I purposefully planned this
- 1:36so that I could have it be peaceful.
- 1:38I went to bed at my normal time. I slept till my normal time.
- 1:42I don't have to leave here, leave my home until probably a
- 1:49couple hours from now, depending upon the traffic, watching the
- 1:52traffic. But the point is, I got things
- 1:55done way ahead of time. Point is, I had everything set
- 1:58up so that I could just simply flow and not feel stressed about
- 2:02it. And even right down to picking
- 2:04out my clothes that I was going to wear today ahead of time
- 2:08because I knew if I did that, I would feel so much better about
- 2:11the whole thing. Just feeling organized, feeling
- 2:14like I was put together. And I think often we just
- 2:18mistake the fact that we need to have so much done.
- 2:22Like, you know, this is one of those times where you don't
- 2:24realize how much you need to have done until you're doing it
- 2:27because you are on autopilot most days, getting yourself
- 2:30ready, getting out of the house, doing all these things.
- 2:32So we have this very strange anomaly that takes place within
- 2:36us that says, oh, I have more than enough time to do that,
- 2:40even though we have overpopulated what we need to
- 2:43get done. So for me, I just try really,
- 2:46really hard to be honest with myself about the time frames.
- 2:49You know, we've talked about that before.
- 2:50How long does it actually take you to get stuff done?
- 2:52But on travel days, I know there's going to be more things
- 2:55to make sure. And especially since I'm not
- 2:57traveling with my family, they're staying here.
- 3:00I want to make sure I have things done for them so that
- 3:03when I leave, they're all set. Of course, my certainty girl is
- 3:07off the rails with this, but it's such, it's, it's allowing
- 3:10me to leave in a place of peace instead of a piece of chaos.
- 3:14You know, I don't want to leave with a piece of chaos in my
- 3:17head. I want to leave in a state of
- 3:19peace. So it's super important to give
- 3:22yourself the grace and the time to say if I know this is coming.
- 3:26The procrastination driver is not welcome at this point
- 3:29because it will only cause more chaos.
- 3:31It will only cause things to be, you know, you feel worse about
- 3:36going because you're just leaving in such a harried state
- 3:39of mind. So that's the first thing.
- 3:42The second thing is recognizing that you want to be in a good
- 3:46mood about whatever it is that you're doing.
- 3:48So you're choosing the driver to be happy.
- 3:51And I'll tell you, it's with all the weather, with all the things
- 3:55that are happening out there, You look and you say, all right,
- 3:58well, maybe I could, I should be worried.
- 4:00Maybe I should be this. And yes, was I worried a little
- 4:03bit over the weekend? I would be lying if I said I
- 4:05wasn't. Of course I was because I didn't
- 4:06know if I was going to be flying in with a hurricane.
- 4:09But the good news is I I'm not. And I'm grateful and blessed for
- 4:14that. I'm beyond grateful for that so
- 4:16that I don't have to deal with flights changing and all of
- 4:19those things. And now it's staying in that
- 4:22happy frame of mind and saying, OK, I'm set to go.
- 4:25I'm feeling good. It's all going to work out
- 4:27perfectly. And then once you get through
- 4:30that phrase of saying all that, then you're seeing it as if it's
- 4:33already done effortlessly. Again, that's always the key
- 4:36with things seeing that effortless.
- 4:38So all morning long I've been visualizing going through the
- 4:41airport, having it be effortless, getting on landing,
- 4:45getting to hug my friends when I get there and, and just be
- 4:49totally centered and present and what I'm doing and seeing it as
- 4:52if it's already done. Visualizing it all happening.
- 4:55That is the key to this. So obviously this whole week I'm
- 4:59going to be shooting while I am out and away.
- 5:03So you're going to hear a very different morning set this week.
- 5:06Got some surprises happening on Wednesday.
- 5:09So Wednesday is going to be a very, very big day and I can't
- 5:14wait to announce it all. So I hope that you guys are
- 5:17tuning in and I hope that this was helpful to you on your
- 5:22travel days, and I will see you all tomorrow from Minnesota.
- 5:26All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day.
- 5:28Bye.
