- 0:11It's the tip of despair in the epic battle to defend the United States of America.
- 0:19The National Security Hour exposes the wolves in sheep's clothing and the nefarious plots to undermine and destroy U.S.
- 0:27national security.
- 0:31Welcome to the National Security Hour on the American Out Loud Network.
- 0:36My name is Blanquita Cullum.
- 0:38You know, I've been trying to look at this whole issue of freedom of religion.
- 0:42We're so special in this country because when you think about it, it's in the Constitution.
- 0:47It's divided into two major categories.
- 0:50The first prevents the government from establishing a state-sponsored religion or promoting favoring uh one religion over the other.
- 1:00But I'm wondering if that's actually correct.
- 1:02And the second part of that is the establishment, the free exercise clause, which means that the government is prohibited from interfering with your ability to practice your religion.
- 1:15Well, I am so delighted to welcome a wonderful new friend of the show, Pastor William Devlin.
- 1:22And Pastor, you know, lots happening with religion all over the world.
- 1:26You know, we've seen uh the Christians in Nigeria that have had they they're suffering brutal killings.
- 1:33We have attacks on the the Jews in New York's, whether it's trying to destroy their their temples or to face their monuments.
- 1:44You also have the same thing here with even the Scientologists, and sometimes I wonder if we're even a little snobby and we say, Well, some people have alleged that they're a cult rather than a religion.
- 1:54This is where I say, well, do we have a pecking order of who we're interested in or not?
- 1:59Or overall, do we see people that are and a lot of young people that have made a decision that there is no protection of churches or crosses or you know, temples or any other kind of form of religion.
- 2:15And I wanted to talk to you about that because you're the expert, Pastor.
- 2:19We're delighted to have you on Pastor William Devlin.
- 2:23Yeah, BQ, thank you, God bless you.
- 2:26You're amazing, and we all love you, and there's nothing you can do about it, and Jesus loves you, and there's nothing you can do about it.
- 2:33Absolutely.
- 2:34Uh, I am just uh for this interview.
- 2:37I'm just in from Northern Nigeria.
- 2:40Wow.
- 2:41Working on a religious freedom case.
- 2:43Uh, I don't go to Lagos, I don't go to Southern Nigeria, I go to Northern Nigeria, where out of the 36 states within Nigeria, the 12 northern states have complete Sharia law.
- 2:57And I'm up there attempting to get eight children freedom from an Islamist orphanage that were kidnapped six years ago by the state government.
- 3:08Imagine that.
- 3:09Why were they kidnapped?
- 3:10Well, because they wanted to Islamicize these little kids.
- 3:15So I was threatened with stoning a year ago in March of 2025 in order to rescue these children.
- 3:23And then I went back last month, April 2026, and still the government would not release these children to us.
- 3:32They were kidnapped from a Christian orphanage.
- 3:35I mean, Nigeria, as you mentioned, BQ, it's a failed state.
- 3:40It is a rogue state.
- 3:42Uh so far this year in the first quarter, we have lost 4,000 of our sisters and brothers, little children to being macheteed to death simply because they love Jesus.
- 3:56So, but beyond Nigeria, and everybody is focused on that, and I've been.
- 4:01Well, you've been living it.
- 4:02You've been living it, and you've been fighting to get them out, and God knows literally how those little children uh survive, even if they get out because the PTSD must be monumental.
- 4:13You never get over that in a way.
- 4:15It's uh they say that I I'm a co-founder of voices against trafficking, and they say the best ones who have a chance to come back are those children who have a belief in God.
- 4:25But the fact of the matter is it's still pretty brutal.
- 4:27So talk to me about what you've discovered when you came back here and seeing all the attacks on churches and uh other faiths that are being kind of brutalized uh without any regard.
- 4:38Yeah, and you know, when you look at the data, and this is from the Department of Justice and the Family Research Council.
- 4:45In 2024, there were 415 attacks on Christian churches.
- 4:51And now that doesn't include what my friends at the ADL, the anti-defamation league, the attacks and all the synagogues.
- 4:59I mean, we think of what happened here in Pennsylvania.
- 5:01I reside in Philadelphia, Western Pennsylvania, the Tree of Life Synagogue.
- 5:06It's it's in and in New York City, it's almost like every day there is an attack on a Jewish school, on a Jewish synagogue, on people walking down the street.
- 5:18So there has been a significant increase in hostile acts in New York City against our Jewish friends and also nationwide, as I mentioned that the DOJ is now uncovering the Trump DOJ is now uncovering uh through a report they've recently released that they allege this is the Federal Department of Justice that were there were multiple anti-Christian biases against Christian congregations, and particularly they went after pro-life people, they went after traditional Catholics who they they actually celebrate the uh the traditional Latin mass.
- 6:04And so they actually went after these people in kind of the classic case was Mark Hauk, a dear friend of mine.
- 6:11Uh, I was there at all of his federal trials in Philadelphia where he was pummeled uh by Sanjay Patel, who was taking up the federal uh the freedom of access to clinic entrance act, and finally he was acquitted, found uh innocent of all charges.
- 6:30But imagine that our federal government went not went after not only Mark Hauk, but dozens of other pro-life people who were silently praying and witnessing and trying to save life outside abortion facilities throughout the U.S.
- 6:46So then we have a situation that was similar with a couple of little nuns that have been arrested.
- 6:53And you think, you know, they're not out trying to proselytize, they're just out there praying.
- 6:59Yeah, well, well, that would be the little sisters of the poor.
- 7:00That would be the little sisters of the poor, who finally won that case.
- 7:02Right.
- 7:02We finally won that case, but now in New York State, they're going after these dear nuns, Catholic nuns.
- 7:04But now in New York State, they're going after these dear nuns, Catholic nuns.
- 7:10And you know what they're doing?
- 7:10And you know what they're doing?
- 7:12It's radical BQ.
- 7:12It's radical, BQ.
- 7:14They're taking care of the dying.
- 7:14They're taking care of the dying.
- 7:16They run a hospice in New York State.
- 7:16They run a hospice in New York state, and now the state government is coming in, and well, you need to teach them about LGBTQ plus plus plus, and you need to.
- 7:20And now the state government is coming in, and well, you need to teach them about LGBTQ.
- 7:29And you need to have that in your curriculum.
- 7:31And they're like, look, these people are dying.
- 7:33They've, these nuns in New York State, I mean, this is in real time here in May of 2026.
- 7:40They're caring for the poor without any government support.
- 7:43They're not getting any money, any dore me from the feds, from the state, from the local.
- 7:49They're caring for these dying people.
- 7:52And yet the New York state government is attacking them because they won't tow the line on this heterodoxy of human sexuality.
- 8:02So they should just be saying thank you.
- 8:05Yeah, they should be saying thank you.
- 8:07Thank you.
- 8:07All they need to do is running out of business.
- 8:10Oh, it's crazy.
- 8:11And again, you know, going back to what we talked about, they're not supposed to be able, according to the Constitution, to interfere with the way that they're they're praying and they're practicing the religion.
- 8:22These are adults, even though they are very poor, they still have given these nuns consent to be able to take care of them.
- 8:31So it seems to me that this probably will be a case that we'll see down the road in the Supreme Court, we're going to determine how free to how free is freedom of religion.
- 8:41And who gets to make their own consensual decide decision at the end of their life of how they want to go out and how they need to be educated just in case uh they're gonna get the test by St.
- 8:52Peter if they got all the LGBTQ questions right.
- 8:56BQ, you're up in here, up in here.
- 8:59You are exactly right.
- 9:01And that's why you know, my rub is with pastors who have uh whether you're Catholic or non-Catholic or Orthodox or whatever, pastors, you have a pulpit that you need to bring attention to the fact that religious freedom in the good old United States of America is under attack.
- 9:21There are states that want to institute Sharia Muslim law.
- 9:26Now we need to be against that, but you know, those attacks that are coming against people in your congregation, whether you're Catholic or not, wherever Christian faith you are, and pastors, I implore you to stand up.
- 9:42In fact, BQ, two weeks ago, when I got back from northern Nigeria under the threat of my own life, and I I came back and I said to my tens of thousands of social media people, I said, go to your pastor and ask him to come with me, and I'll pay for a full paid round trip flight to northern Nigeria.
- 10:07And I put that out there.
- 10:09Here we are two weeks later.
- 10:10How many pastors have accepted that?
- 10:13Oh, I can guess.
- 10:14I was gonna say the big zero.
- 10:16Yeah, the big zero.
- 10:17And so pastors in the pulpit, I mean, you know, they love to stand, and I'm a pastor myself, been 55 years a pastor.
- 10:24Well, you also had an interesting journey because I thought about this the other day, you know, I'm a Catholic, and I was, and this is a particular time people are some people are rededicating themselves to the Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary, the mother of God, and all this mother of Jesus.
- 10:40And one of the uh the miracles that happened at Fatima was documented, very famous miracle of the sun.
- 10:47And I thought about you on this, because that miracle of the sun was documented, written precisely how it happened by an atheist who had turned up to write about the fraud of these three little children.
- 11:00Yeah, and he could not do it.
- 11:03Even when the paper said we're gonna fire you.
- 11:06So many people were shocked that he he had to document the reality of what happened in his own journalistic conscience.
- 11:14It's not like he became an advocate or a big Christian, he had to tell the truth.
- 11:18Well, your journey, you started out as a young guy who was an atheist, a non-believer.
- 11:23And how did how did you get struck with the light of Jesus?
- 11:28Slapped you on the way.
- 11:30Slap me on the way.
- 11:32So uh, quick story.
- 11:34I was a hardcore atheist.
- 11:36I had become an atheist at about the age of 14 as a high school freshman.
- 11:41I hated God, I hated the church.
- 11:43All I saw was hypocrisy, even within my own family.
- 11:47And then unfortunately, my father left home when I was 16.
- 11:50My mother then dropped dead from alcoholism eight months later, and I was all alone.
- 11:55I became an orphan.
- 11:57You know, that's why I call my organization widows and orphans, because God, through my own experiences, has given me BQ, a heart for widows and orphans, because my mother was a widow, and then she died.
- 12:09I became an orphan.
- 12:10And then my dad reappeared into my life.
- 12:13He said, You need to go into the military, Billy, you're good for nothing.
- 12:18And so I joined the U.S.
- 12:20Navy in 1970, and after I flunked out of uh naval school in Chicago, they sent me out to San Diego, and I was hitchhiking on the San Diego Freeway on June 26, 1971.
- 12:35And one of the Jesus freaks, you know, you've heard of the Jesus.
- 12:39I have, but that would have been during Vietnam, too, right?
- 12:41During the exactly, yeah, Vietnam World.
- 12:44And that night on the San Diego Freeway, Highway 5, through a brother that came out of Calvary Chapel, Coast Damason, Southern California.
- 12:54I was converted.
- 12:54I prayed the prayer that I received Jesus into my heart and life.
- 12:58It was like bang bang, BQ.
- 13:00It was like soul on the road to Damascus.
- 13:03I was miraculously transformed.
- 13:06Two weeks later, I actually volunteered to go to Vietnam, went over there, spent two years in country, got shut up.
- 13:13I shed blood for the United States of America.
- 13:15I was happy to receive the meritorious unicommendation and also the Purple Heart Medal.
- 13:22So I I know about religious freedom because at that time we were trying to rescue Vietnam from the communists.
- 13:27So that is my conversion story, my transformational story.
- 13:32So I'm sticking to it.
- 13:34And now, 55 years later, BQ, I'm still on the path to follow Jesus.
- 13:40God has given us uh my wife Nancy D, my tumor of term of endearment, five wonderful children, they're all married, they're all serving Jesus, 14 American grandchildren, two Nigerian grandchildren, and one Nigerian daughter.
- 13:55So we're rocking and rolling for Jesus here, talking about religious freedom.
- 14:00And meanwhile, back at the ranch, as we say in Texas, you've got the situation where it's become almost a form of bravado.
- 14:00And meanwhile, back at the ranch, as we say in Texas, you've got the situation where it's become almost a form of bravado.
- 14:09And I wonder when you think about it, you know, during that period of Vietnam, there was a real rebellion.
- 14:09And I wonder when you think about it, you know, during that period of Vietnam, there was a real rebellion.
- 14:16It was a it was the summer of love, and that summer of love transformed into a summer of demonstrations, a lot of anger about Vietnam.
- 14:16It was a it was the summer of love, and that summer of love transformed into a summer of demonstrations, a lot of anger about Vietnam.
- 14:24And then uh, but if you even look at books like The Fourth Turning that talk about the
- 14:24And then uh, but if you even look at books like The Fourth Turning that talk about the cycles of how life moves, how people have to find their way out, they go to the bottom, they come back up, they have they and I thought it very profound uh was the assassination of Charlie Kirk, because um young people don't have access to heroes like they used to.
- 14:49Uh probably when you were young, you could look at astronauts, you could look at role models of people that you would see on screen, even religious leaders like uh Bishop Sheen and others, people that would go and perform missionary work around the world.
- 15:03Now, with this new age of technology, uh, that's kind of blown up.
- 15:09However, Charlie Kirk, his death, God bless his soul, uh, resurrected a lot of young people that found a way to protest for a good guy.
- 15:21Yeah, and I don't even call it protest, I call it a prayerful presence.
- 15:26And that's when when I grow up, BQ, I want to be a hero to my children and grandchildren and to a generation of young people.
- 15:37So that's why this summer I'm speaking to a bunch of high school students, and I want them to see uh uh a brother in Jesus that has been in the saddle for 55 years fighting for religious freedom, fighting for the the right to pray in public places.
- 15:56I mean, I was arrested 24 years ago praying in front of the Ten Commandment plaque on the side of a courthouse in suburban Philadelphia, and they locked me up.
- 16:07But a federal judge had ruled because the atheists had said, oh, that that that Ten Commandments has been on the side of a courthouse and it needs to come down.
- 16:16I went out there thinking nothing of myself, and I knelt and prayed in front of those Ten Commandments plaque.
- 16:23It was April of 2002, back in the day.
- 16:27Right.
- 16:28And I got locked up for a day, and guess where those Ten Commandments are today?
- 16:33They're still there on uh May the 4th of 2026.
- 16:37So they may they may get moved to a classroom in Texas because of course they're now giving permission to the schools to be able to put the Ten Commandments up.
- 16:45We have to take a little break.
- 16:46I'm so delighted that we have Pastor William Devlin who's joining us.
- 16:50He's AKB P B with BQ.
- 16:52It's every acronym you can think of.
- 16:54Right here on the National Security Hour.
- 16:57Don't you dare go away, got a lot more to cover.
- 17:00Stay with us.
- 17:00I'm Dr.
- 17:00Kelly Victory with the wellness company, and I know this personally.
- 17:04I exercised, ate a healthy diet, and had no symptoms when a routine mammogram resulted in a cancer diagnosis.
- 17:11It revealed a hard truth.
- 17:13Even healthy people can get cancer, and much of modern medicine is reactive, not preventative.
- 17:19So I began asking a different question.
- 17:21What can we do daily to support the body before something goes wrong?
- 17:25That question led me to formulate SHIELD.
- 17:28SHIELD is a two-part nutraceutical system designed to support immune balance, antioxidant defense, and cellular health, a chemical-free cocoa mix and soft gels containing medicinal mushrooms, turmeric, green tea extract, olive leaf, berberine, and black seed oil.

- 19:50Welcome back to the National Security Hour.
- 19:53I'm your humble host.
- 19:55I should say with a British accent without the ace, the H.
- 19:58I'm your humble host.
- 19:59Blanquita Kellum with a great guy, Pastor William Devlin, aka PB, who has just returned from Nigeria.
- 20:07And I was thinking, Boko Haram, uh, Pastor, that happened in Nigeria, didn't it?
- 20:12That's where they they took all those young girls and they kidnapped them.
- 20:16And some were rescued, but many were not.
- 20:19And that's been a number of years.
- 20:21Uh and still that has not raised enough awareness of the brutality.
- 20:26I have a good friend, you may know him, Doug Burton, who writes, yes, truth.
- 20:30You know, Doug.
- 20:31Yes.
- 20:34But why is it that Nigeria can't seem to elevate to the level of outrage that some other countries have?
- 20:42Well, it's a sad situation, and people have to remember, BQ, that the jihad in Nigeria actually began in 1801.
- 20:52So we're talking a lot of years ago that the Muslims targeted Nigeria because uh there was a trade route that went through northern Nigeria from Morocco over to Sudan and then on into the Middle East.
- 21:00That went through northern Nigeria from Morocco over to Sudan and then on into the Middle East.
- 21:07So the jihad has been going on a long time.
- 21:07So the jihad has been going on a long time.
- 21:10And unfortunately, the Christian missionaries from England and the UK, they didn't show up till the 1880s.
- 21:10And unfortunately, the Christian missionaries from England and the UK, they didn't show up till the 1880s.
- 21:17So they were like almost, you know, 90 years too late to preach Jesus.
- 21:17So they were like almost, you know, 90 years too late to preach Jesus.
- 21:22And Nigeria is just a sad case because when you go to Nigeria, people say, Oh, I went to Nigeria.
- 21:22And Nigeria is just a sad case because when you go to Nigeria, people say, Oh, I went to Nigeria where where'd you go?
- 21:28Where would you go?
- 21:29I went to
- 21:29I went to Lagos.
- 21:30Well, there's three sections of Nigeria.
- 21:33There's the Southern Tier, I'll be brief, with Lagos.
- 21:38And the Christian church there is really not only are they ignorant of what's happening to their brothers and sisters and up in what we call the northern tier, but they don't really care.
- 21:50So you go down to Lagos, there's churches of 10, 20, 30,000 people.
- 21:56And I said, why don't you go and help your brothers and sisters up north?
- 21:59Oh no, we we don't want to do that.
- 22:01We've got our ministry here.
- 22:03So now when the 12 Sharia states in northern Nigeria, as they continue to machete women, children, and men hold them captive, they displace them, and now that's encroaching from the 12 northern states of Nigeria into what they call the middle belt, which is where the capital of Bouja is.
- 22:24And yet the Christians in the south of Nigeria in places like Lagos and the Delta state and Igbo, uh, they really have no concern for the Christians that are being persecuted or murdered and killed and machete to death.
- 22:42So it'd be like And don't you and don't you think, Pastor, though, that's symptomatic of not just Nigeria.
- 22:49That happened in that happened in uh Germany.
- 22:52That happened in Poland.
- 22:54That has happened all over the world.
- 22:56That happens in this country on the issue of human trafficking.
- 23:00You know, even with the cartels that come into this country, we're saying, well, we don't want to get the majority of immigrants.
- 23:06I say this is a person whose mother was uh uh a non-citizen her entire life.
- 23:11She was a Mexican citizen, but they don't take into consideration people don't like thugs.
- 23:16They don't like people that hurt children, they don't like people who are dealing in drugs.
- 23:19The concern is, and then I think, and I throw this back at you.
- 23:24People are saying, well, if I don't get near it, it won't hurt me.
- 23:28If I don't, if I avert my eyes, I can't see it.
- 23:32I won't say I didn't know it happened.
- 23:34That's what happened after World War II.
- 23:36I wasn't aware of it.
- 23:37I didn't know.
- 23:38That's what they're saying about the situation with the churches being attacked, even groups like I pointed the Scientologists, the Jews, the Catholics, you name it.
- 23:48They'll say, I don't know.
- 23:49That's not happening near me.
- 23:51Yeah, well, that's why my clarion call to all of your viewers and listeners, BQ, is we've got to be examples of what religious freedom really means.
- 24:01That's why a year ago last month, I offered myself in accordance with the Gospel of St.
- 24:06John, chapter 15, verse 13, greater love is no man than a man lays down his life for his brother.
- 24:13And so a year ago, when I heard of the case of Sunday Jackson, people can go online and search for that.
- 24:20I offered my life for Sunday Jackson.
- 24:23I went to the Nigerian government.
- 24:25I held a press conference at the Federal Department of Justice in Abuja in the federal district there in Nigeria.
- 24:31And I said to the Nigerian government, John 15, 13 says that as Jesus gave his life for me, I need to give my life for others.
- 24:40So you release Sunday Jackson, who had been on death row for 10 years.
- 24:46Right.
- 24:47And you can put the noose around my neck and you can hang me.
- 24:51I'm 73 years old, I've lived a great life.
- 24:54Why wouldn't I offer my life for Sunday Jackson, this young father?
- 24:59And they said, and they said no.
- 25:01And they said no, but yet, BQ, that led to the Nigerian government being convicted about wait a minute, this crazy American pastor is willing to offer his life for Sunday Jackson.
- 25:15And on December 28th of 2025, the governor of the state, where this crime, so to speak, even though Sunday Jackson was innocent, uh, the governor Fentieri of Adamawa state, northern Nigeria granted clemency to Sunday Jackson and pardon him.
- 25:34So that that's really what we need to do is you know, actions are a lot more important than words.
- 25:40And we need to see that in this country.
- 25:42Yeah.
- 25:42Because clearly, when you see the defacing of churches going into uh Catholic churches in New York, where they go in while a service is going on, going to Baptist churches, going to Pentecostal churches, going to Jewish temples and synagogues and defacing them, even the situation where this uh kind of a blase attack that happened, like I say, whether we consider them or not, they are limit listed as a as a religion, the Scientologists.
- 26:14Uh at what point do we say, if I don't stand for you, I don't stand for any of them.
- 26:18We all need to stand together.
- 26:20We're all sunk.
- 26:21Uh, you know, it's the oldest thing that was the golden rule.
- 26:23Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
- 26:26Amen.
- 26:27Yeah, and and you know, uh, what are the two greatest commandments?
- 26:31Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbors, you love yourself.
- 26:34So I love myself.
- 26:36So that's why in February of this year, I stood with Jewish rabbis and the Jewish community of New York State on a new bill that was passed in New York City Council that said within 250 feet of a religious institution, you cannot have protesters.
- 26:55They need to be away.
- 26:56And that grew out of in November of 2025, when they were having an event at a Jewish synagogue in in the Upper East Side of New York at 57th and 2nd Avenue, and there were Hamas sympathizers, BQ outside the synagogue as people were going into a meeting, Jewish people, and they were shouting, death to the Jews, we support Hamas, you know, Israel is occupied land, you know, from the river to sea, Palestine will be free.
- 27:29And as these uh elderly Jewish people were going in, they were being threatened with murder.
- 27:35So as a result of the.
- 27:36And this is and this is the test even of the First Amendment.
- 27:39We're talking about freedom of speech.
- 27:41You know, I I've stood up um publicly and defended Howard Stern as much as I have defended back in the day, Rush Limba.
- 27:48Um because, well, but the point of it is I believe in the freedom of speech.
- 27:53Yeah.
- 27:53However, when the freedom of speech is compromised with a threat of violent action directed to a person or a group of people, an institution with a violent uh death threat, that to me limits their right to have freedom of speech because you're wanting to take their life.
- 28:00To a person or a group of people, an institution with a violent uh death threat, that to me limits their right to have freedom of speech because you're wanting to take their life.
- 28:11That potentially is something that should be a criminal action.
- 28:11That potentially is something that should be a criminal action.
- 28:15Yeah, and and sadly, we had a rally on 57th Street, right outside the synagogue, uh a couple weeks after this hateful incident occurred.
- 28:15Yeah, and and sadly, we had a rally on 57th Street, right outside the synagogue, uh a couple weeks after this hateful incident occurred.
- 28:27And here's the sad part, BQ.
- 28:27And here's the sad part, BQ.
- 28:29I was
- 28:29I was the only, because I'm connected to a church in the Boogie Down Bronx in the South Bronx, uh, Infinity Bible Church.
- 28:37I was the only pastor, clergy, priest there with about 30 rabbis, no Catholic priests, no Protestant clergy, no, no Baptists, no nobody.
- 28:49And I think, my goodness, this is just like why?
- 28:54Where have they lost their moxie?
- 28:56I mean, you talked about standing up.
- 28:58Well, you stood up and you said, put the rope around me.
- 29:00And if you look at the history of all these great ministers and priests and rabbis that said you found ways to to be able to say, put the noose on me.
- 29:10Don't don't or would walk into these gas chambers with the children and say if they're they're not gonna die alone, they're gonna die with me.
- 29:17Or they'd find ways to to alter uh the passports that the Catholics would put them in and change them from Jewish to Catholic and teach them how to pray just so they could save their lives and they knew they were Jews.
- 29:28The thing of it is have how did they lose their moxie?
- 29:31They they took a profession that's kind of an out there profession.
- 29:34I mean, if you're trying to be Ms.
- 29:36Mr.
- 29:36Popularity, not everybody's gonna be on your on your side.
- 29:40So why would you get wimpy at the time that you're supposed to be telling everybody to be courageous?
- 29:45BQ, you know what it's all about?
- 29:47It's all about butts in the seats, because a lot of these churches they rely upon donations, and uh I'm I'm sad.
- 29:55I'm an equal opportunity offender because I am a pastor, and yeah, I pastored a big church in Manhattan and New York City, then God called me out 13 years ago to be a full-time pastor to the persecuted church.
- 30:07So now I go to 15 countries, people can see my travels at Livereckless.info.
- 30:12That's livereckless.info.
- 30:14And and so why don't pastors stand up?
- 30:17It's because they want to be safe, they want to be secure, and they want to be comfortable.
- 30:23That's why, BQ, and so that's why I invite pastors as I've done come to Nigeria, come to Iraq, come to India, come with me.
- 30:33I'll pay for a round trip airfare ticket, and you don't have to pay Jack, you don't have to pay Jill, you don't have to pay squat.
- 30:42Come with me.
- 30:43And you know what they say, BQ?
- 30:44And they say, is it safe?
- 30:46And I please my retort to them is that the call of Jesus, thinking of the early missionaries, 11 of the 12 apostles died a martyr's death.
- 30:56I said the call of Jesus never gives provision for safety, security, or comfort.
- 31:01So why are you?
- 31:02And it doesn't it doesn't have a chicken clause.
- 31:05Right, it doesn't have a chicken clause.
- 31:06You know, you know, my son is he's a great journalist, and he has been to uh South Sudan several times and did this beautiful uh series of photographs.
- 31:17In fact, they had an exhibit in the Congress of the slave liberations that he covered.
- 31:22And people have no idea, you know, you these pictures of of uh of a woman like looking at herself for the first time in a mirror in a uh another woman having to tell her that the mother didn't make it and all these stories, it's hard for us to think when we talk about the uh civil rights movement that there are slaves, and and even in this country through human trafficking, and you got pastors that are playing chicken?
- 31:47Give me a break.
- 31:49Yeah, well, we're not gonna give them a break.
- 31:51We need to call them out, okay?
- 31:53So there's no break here from PB of widow widows and orphans uh at Livereckless.info.
- 31:59And so that's my clarity and call.
- 32:01And so I'm like the classic weirdo BQ.
- 32:05I like that.
- 32:06You are exactly we like weirdos on this show.
- 32:08Uh-uh.
- 32:08Well, thank you.
- 32:10I'm a certifiable weirdo.
- 32:12So I go out, I I talk about let's let's go to the abortion facilities and lovingly uh encourage these women to give life to their child and stand up for those little nuns that are being brutal on a few.
- 32:28Taking care of people who are impoverished and trying to help them make up a very peaceful and a blessed final exit from this earth.
- 32:37You know, how can you how can you go after people that are trying to help these terribly uh it's just unjust, it's mindless to think about how you would attack them.
- 32:47I don't care what version of religion you're following, you've got to give these people a little break here.
- 32:54Yeah, and and unfortunately there need to be more clergy people that will step into what Richard John Newhouse, that great Catholic priest, former Lutheran, writes the editorial first things.
- 33:09I mean, he's with Jesus now, but he talked about the naked public square BQ, and the naked public square abhors a vacuum.
- 33:18And so when we are not as as people of good will who love Jesus, when we're not out there speaking with a clear throat, we're not clear in our throat during these meeting interviews, and we're saying right is right and wrong is wrong, and if not us, then who, and if not now, then when?
- 33:37And that was the great Clary and Paul.
- 33:40Wow, they're interpreting.
- 33:42They're interpreting.
- 33:43Well, what does that mean?
- 33:44You know, we can't tell you uh what's a woman or what's a man.
- 33:48If we can't tell you, you know, we can connive and conjole and create our own interpretation, then perhaps you know, we're all afraid of getting canceled.
- 34:00Oh man, oh man ishevets.
- 34:01We don't want that to happen.
- 34:03So you've got a few minutes here to to tell people how they can reach out to you and to what you're doing, Pastor.
- 34:11All right.
- 34:11Well, I'm, you know, our our good friend Joshua who took over from the prophet Moses.
- 34:16Prophet Joshua says this in the good book.
- 34:19He Joshua says, be bold, be strong, for the Lord your God is with you.
- 34:24So, hey, if you get fired from your job uh for being a pastor for standing up what's right, well, then you can join the annals of great people like Father Maximilian Kobe, who met death in the Nazi concentration camp, as did Dietrich Bonhofer, as did Martin Luther.
- 34:44Yes, and I think history.
- 34:46But you've got you've got uh literally people that are struggling so hard.
- 34:51They can barely meet the bills.
- 34:53And we're talking pastors, we're talking priests, we're talking rabbis, we're talking, you name the denomination.
- 34:59There's a there's a blank to be filled there.
- 35:00A blank to be filled there.
- 35:01Are there options and places for them to go to so they can gain support and help to be able to survive that journey to help them garner the strength?
- 35:01Are there options and places for them to go to so they can gain support and help to be able to survive that journey to help them to garner the strength?
- 35:12Because if they're certainly if they're not Catholic, they're not they can get married.
- 35:12Because if they're certainly if they're not Catholic, they're not they can get married, they've got families got to take care of.
- 35:16They've got families got to take care of.
- 35:17How what can they do?
- 35:17How what can they do?
- 35:18How can you help those guys or gals that are trying to be strong?
- 35:18How can you help those guys or gals that are trying to be strong?
- 35:22Yeah, I'm gonna give out my cell phone number.
- 35:22Yeah, I'm gonna give out my cell phone number.
- 35:24I'm gonna give out my email, live reckless.
- 35:24I'm gonna give out my email, live reckless.info.
- 35:27And 14 years ago, BQ, I made
- 35:29I made a decision to leave a salaried position with benefits, bang bang bang.
- 35:35And now I'm a pastor that I raised my own support through Livereckless.info.
- 35:40So, you know, that's what I do.
- 35:42Give that info because we got 10 seconds.
- 35:45Octane faith at Yahoo, Octane Faith at Yahoo 646, 233, 7279, 646, 233, 7279.
- 35:55Bang bang, call me, would love to talk.
- 35:58God bless.
- 35:59God bless you too, Pastor.
- 36:00And and thank you for having the courage of your faith to have that conviction to go out there and make a difference for good.
- 36:08God bless you.
- 36:09Well, we're gonna take a break when we come back.
- 36:11You're gonna find about what is a Druze Memorial.
- 36:15What is that about?
- 36:16Stay with us.
- 36:17I'm BQ.
- 36:18We wouldn't go a day without washing our hands, brushing our teeth, and washing our nose.
- 36:23Well, wait, we wash our nose.
- 36:25Yes, the number one place where bacteria, viruses, and pollen enter the body is through the nose.
- 36:30So the average person breathes over 23,000 times a day.
- 36:34That's 23,000 opportunities for bacteria, viruses, and irritants to get into your nose and make you sick for an extra layer of protection, wash your nose with clear.
- 36:44That is clear, X L E A R.
- 36:47Clear's drug-free nasal spray features xylitol, an ingredient proven to block adhesion of many nasty bacteria and viruses, and effectively clean, not just rinse like a saline, but wash your nose.

- 38:27Welcome to the National Security Hour.
- 38:30And this particular part of the program, you're going to meet such an interesting guy, an artist, a visual artist who was born in Iran.
- 38:38He's a filmmaker.
- 38:39He's a creative director based in San Francisco and the Bay Area, beautiful part of California.
- 38:44I grew up on the other side of it in Southern California.
- 38:48And uh, and his name is Human Khalili.
- 38:51And Human, you you've done this amazing uh kind of a beautiful mural on the Druze.
- 38:59But before we get into that, you've been to Israel a lot of times, okay?
- 39:03You've done a lot of murals there.
- 39:04Have you done give us a little bit of the background because you have a fascinating history?
- 39:09Absolutely.
- 39:09First of all, Blancita, thank you so much for having me.
- 39:12It's a real honor to be here.
- 39:14And uh, you know, you shared your background with me, so I'm I'm really honored to be with somebody with your with your uh backgrounds.
- 39:21Yeah, so uh my name is Human.
- 39:23I did 17 trips to Israel in 21 months, and I unveiled 18 murals.
- 39:28They're called woman life freedom murals, and these murals um are in support of the women of Iran who are being murdered for showing their hair.
- 39:37Yeah.
- 39:38And this is this is the most obvious thing, and this is the thing the press seems to be overlooking every single time they report on Iran.
- 39:47You know, they're always talking about U.S.
- 39:49intervention and innocent people being killed.
- 39:51Well, yes, innocent people get killed in war, but far more innocent people have been murdered over the last 47 years because of the Islamic regime.
- 40:02And when you talk about the Iranian people, I I've had an opportunity in my career uh to know many people from my time with the Persian service at Voice of America who shared their history of what it was like before when you had the Shah and the rights of women and children and how it changed after the Shah.
- 40:26Explain that because I mean, women, they they were fashionistas at that point and and in Iran.
- 40:33Yeah, no, you bring up a really good point.
- 40:35I think one of the hardest things for Iranian American man like myself is to look back at the footage of what it was like in the 70s.
- 40:43And one of the problems is the Persian people were bamboozled, but they were also very dumb to allow the Ayatollah to return.
- 40:53Um, it was forced on them in many ways because of the Americans and the British and the German, but needless to say, they had all the freedom.
- 41:03Women were in bikinis, they had the latest uh clothing, whether it was Chanel or Georgi Oramon.
- 41:10It was very westernized.
- 41:11And because we're on a limited bit of time here, I I have to take us back to what you did with the Druze in Israel.
- 41:19Now, what I understand, because I remember meeting the Druze in Israel, and forgive me for chopping this up, but they're a particular brand of Arabic speaking and ethnoreligious group that supports the country they live in.
- 41:34That's exactly right.
- 41:35Yeah, the Druze is an interesting religion.
- 41:37Uh, it's a bit of Islam.
- 41:39There's uh some Judaism and sort of Christianity mix in there and some Greek philosophy, it's sort of a secret religion.
- 41:46They have secret books, they have secret rituals.
- 41:49Their highest pro their highest prophet is a guy that rarely we talk about.
- 41:55Moses' father-in-law, a guy named Jethro.
- 41:58Wow.
- 41:59And yeah, I know, right?
- 42:00I know, right?
- 42:00And they just celebrated uh sort of the memorial days for Jethro.
- 42:00And they just celebrated uh sort of the memorial days for Jethro.
- 42:05So the Druze do live in Israel.
- 42:05So the Druze do live in Israel.
- 42:07They're also in Syria and Lebanon.
- 42:07They're also in Syria and Lebanon.
- 42:10And I want to point out, if you don't mind me interrupting for a second, but if they get married in Israel, they stay in Israel.
- 42:10And I want to point out if you don't mind me interrupting for a second, but if they get married in Israel, they stay in Israel.
- 42:16If a if a family has a family member that goes to Syria, they then stay in Syria.
- 42:16If a if a family has a family member that goes to Syria, they then stay in Syria.
- 42:22There they adopt the lifestyle and the and the laws of those countries.
- 42:23They adopt the lifestyle and the and the laws of those countries.
- 42:28That's right.
- 42:28That's right.
- 42:29And the Druze and
- 42:29And the Druze in Israel are very pro-Israel.
- 42:32The many of them, I'd say well over 50% of them serve in the IDF.
- 42:37So they do have a great relationship with the Jewish people.
- 42:41And they're very strong and they're very smart and they're very resilient.
- 42:45So two years ago, uh, give me a minute just to get through this.
- 42:48Two years ago, Hezbollah, which is one of the arms of the Islamic regime fired a missile into a Druze village called Majd el Shams, and it's in the north.
- 42:59The village basically kisses the border of Syria and Lebanon.
- 43:03And uh the missile landed in a soccer field and killed 12 children.
- 43:08At the time, I went to some of the officials and said, hey, let's make a mural, and the timing was off.
- 43:15Lo and behold, the world cup is coming to America in one month.
- 43:21And so what is the world's cup?
- 43:23It's soccer.
- 43:24What happened to these kids?
- 43:25They were playing soccer, they got killed on a field.
- 43:27So I designed a mural with the 12 Druze kids on one side and 12 Iranian kids killed by the Islamic regime.
- 43:35And above the mural, it says the Islamic regime targets and kills children.
- 43:40And that is the truth because since this woman-led revolution in 2022, the Islamic regime has killed somewhere between 3,000 to 5,000 children.
- 43:51And no one's talking about it.
- 43:52You know who's not definitely not talking about it?
- 43:54Is UNICEF.
- 43:55UNICEF, the armor.
- 43:58Yeah, the children.
- 43:59Yeah, the arm of the United Nations, which is supposed to be talking about and protecting children, does not mention how many children in the Islamic.
- 44:06Why do you think?
- 44:06I mean, you know, I can remember buying the stamps.
- 44:09You know, a lot of us used to buy the stamps.
- 44:11Why, why is that?
- 44:12Why are they not focusing on these children that were killed brutally?
- 44:17I think the United Nations has an agenda and they have a narrative.
- 44:21And they have been a monumental disappointment when it comes to the COVID vaccine.
- 44:27Horrible job there.
- 44:29They did a horrible job with the state of Israel, and now they're doing a horrible job for the people of Iran.
- 44:35And it seems like, you know, it's it's like a cartel.
- 44:38And if you're not, you know, doing what they say, doing what they want.
- 44:42If you're not backing that cartel, then they won't report on you.
- 44:48They won't support you, and they won't even speak the truth about what's really going on.
- 44:53So with all of these children, I said I I designed this mural, 12 Iranian children getting ready to play soccer against the 12 Druze children who were killed.
- 45:04All the children in the mural have been killed.
- 45:06The referee uh is a woman who was on the Iranian woman's soccer team.
- 45:11She was just murdered.
- 45:13And so what you have here is a mural of joy because you have all these people that are no longer here on the earth, and they're all about to play a joyful, fun in the spirit of uh, you know, getting along type soccer match.
- 45:30And my hope and prayer is that this mural gets unveiled for the World Cup in the United States.
- 45:37That'd be beautiful.
- 45:38And you know, which when you're telling me this, it reminds me of Ennis Cantor Freedom.
- 45:44Ennis Cantor Freedom, who was the basketball player that uh had the audacity to, you know, have freedom on his shoes or whatever it was, you could have a logo on there, but you could he couldn't have that.
- 45:56And he goes to Israel and trains the little Israeli kids and the Palestinian kids how to play basketball together, like these kids that you're talking about, and they end up becoming really good friends.
- 46:08You've done now what's the chance that we're gonna see this mural of yours is gaining some attention here.
- 46:15Uh be unveiled.
- 46:18I'm speaking to some folks in Texas right now that own billboards.
- 46:22And uh we're in Texas, Dallas right now.
- 46:26I'm looking at the biggest.
- 46:27Yeah, I was just hoping you were gonna say San Antonio, my hometown.
- 46:30But that's okay, you keep going.
- 46:32I did get a mural up at Rice University.
- 46:34I do have a mural in Austin.
- 46:36So if I can get one up and see what kind of ground swell there is behind it, then we can sort of test the waters and we can say, does this have legs?
- 46:47You know, the real reason I do these murals, because that I feel like there needs to be an overarching explanation.
- 46:53How many have you done so far?
- 46:5529 in the world.
- 46:57Okay, keep going.
- 46:59So these mural, these murals remind the world that the women of Iran are fighting, they're fighting for their freedom.
- 47:07And so when these women get murdered, I don't want to ignore them like the rest of the world.
- 47:13I want to give a voice to the voiceless.
- 47:16I use these murals to so the world remembers who these women are who were murdered.
- 47:21That's the first reason.
- 47:22Second reason is to show the world Israel is the only country in the Middle East standing with the women of Iran.
- 47:28You know, I tried to get a mural in Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia.
- 47:33They all said no.
- 47:35They said you cannot put a mural up with a woman's hair showing.
- 47:38And thirdly, there's only two ethnic groups that have a really hardcore biblical relationship.
- 47:47It's the Persians and the Jews.
- 47:49That relationship, I'm reminding the world of the biblical relationship between the Persians and the Jews.
- 47:55And if we could just look at the Bible for a quick second, the book of Esther, right?
- 48:00We're all we you hear over and over again, you were chosen for such a time as this.
- 48:04That's Esther 414.
- 48:06That book does not take place in Israel, it takes place in Iran.
- 48:10The Jews are exiled, they're in Iran for the whole book, and what happens?
- 48:17There's deliverance.
- 48:18God is hidden, you know, Esther Hadassah means hidden.
- 48:22And I just like there's something very special about this relationship between the Persians and the Jews.
- 48:27And the Jews have been faithful to that relationship to this day.
- 48:30They're working tirelessly to free the 90 million people in Iran.
- 48:34So on these on these murals, clearly now you have all of the women whose faces uh are displayed on the murals.
- 48:44Is their head covered or is their hair flowing?
- 48:47Their hair is always flowing.
- 48:48I refuse to make a mural with a woman wearing a hijab.
- 48:52So what you're saying is you're you you're more than giving them a voice, you're giving them a face to a person who's lost their life so that we will remember who they were.
- 49:00Person who's lost their life so that we will remember who they were.
- 49:04You know, they are we've got to know their names.
- 49:04You know, they are we've got to know their names.
- 49:07Do you put their names on the mural?
- 49:07Do you put their names on the mural?
- 49:10I sure do.
- 49:10I sure do.
- 49:11Every single mural has the names of the women who have been murdered.
- 49:11Every single mural has the names of the women who have been murdered.
- 49:15And you know, they're uh on October 7th, two of the women that were killed were Persian Jews.
- 49:15And you know, they're uh on October 7th, two of the women that were killed were Persian Jews.
- 49:21Uh one was Sahar, and the other one is Sherelle.
- 49:21Uh, one was Sahar and the other one is Sherell.
- 49:25So with those two murals, I actually was able to get the permission.
- 49:25So with those two murals, I actually was able to get the permission of the families who lost their daughters.
- 49:33With the people in Iran, I can't talk to them.
- 49:36They can't talk to me.
- 49:38You know, it's of course not because their lives would be threatened.
- 49:41Their lives would be threatened.
- 49:42I just put it up and hope for the best.
- 49:44I I put up a very controversial mural recently for Purim in Indiana, Indianapolis, right across the street from Lucas Oil Stadium where the Colts play.
- 49:55And in the mural is a woman named Nika Shakarami.
- 49:58And Nika was 15 years old when she was murdered.
- 50:01Now, one of the things that Americans need to understand about this war in Iran is there are 92 million people.
- 50:08Two million of them have guns.
- 50:1090 million of them don't.
- 50:11So two million people are holding down 90 million people.
- 50:16There's a big problem.
- 50:17And so I have Nika Shakarami holding an AK-47, standing in the Valley of Dry Bones with a flag behind her that says, President Trump, arm the women of Iran.
- 50:30Give them a fighting chance.
- 50:32Balance the scales.
- 50:33Did you hear back?
- 50:34Did you hear anything from the government?
- 50:35You think from the administration?
- 50:38Well, it's interesting.
- 50:39Trump had one press conference where a reporter said to him, will you send weapons to the people of Iran?
- 50:49And Trump alluded to it and said, We did, but the people who were the intermediaries, the people that were receiving the guns to distribute them, they kept the guns and they didn't pass them out.
- 51:03So the interesting thing.
- 51:06That is interesting.
- 51:07Because you know, that begs the question of then who were they?
- 51:11Were they people that were corrupt?
- 51:12Were they people that were underground that were supportive of an Iran turnover of the you know the I tollas and the and the potential you know follow following leaders, or did they support uh a new generation of leadership?
- 51:28So there are rumors to who these intermediaries were, and the rumor is it was the Kurds, the Kurds in Iraq and in Turkey.
- 51:37Now they're too fighting a battle, they're fighting against the Turkish government.
- 51:42So one of the theories out there is they kept the guns for their own battles.
- 51:47Right.
- 51:48They have to fight.
- 51:50That's disappointing.
- 51:51I mean, you know, they got their own battles, but the butt, you know, it's a question that I ask frequently.
- 51:58And uh there used to be an old program on television, the original show that starred Johnny Carson.
- 52:03It was called Who Do You Trust?
- 52:05And so if you're making a deal and you're trying to help people to protect themselves, and you send them this, then how do you know it's not gonna get waylaid and taken by people that are gonna use it and sell it or do I mean we've seen that even with guns that have been provided to cartels?
- 52:23You know, it's really interesting you say that.
- 52:25So in Turkey, there are groups of women that the United States arms and trains to protect themselves against Ardowan.
- 52:35And so our tax dollars actually go to this.
- 52:38So we already do have a good trusting relationship with them.
- 52:42The thing that none of us know is what type of guns were, you know, or taken, we're selled.
- 52:48Yeah, we lost.
- 52:49Like, were they much better than what these people already have?
- 52:53Would they have a strategic advantage?
- 52:55You don't know.
- 52:57See, when you talk about this, this raises a thought in my head, having served in administrations in my career, and um the question is within these entities, these different government entities, you know, they can become corrupt as well.
- 53:14They can be making deals with the devil.
- 53:16The fact of the matter is, how do we protect the people that we're trying to help from that kind of corruption and who is held accountable in our government to make sure that this is not done incorrectly?
- 53:30Look, I come from California.
- 53:32There is more corruption in my state than probably all other 49 states combined.
- 53:37We were supposed to have a bullet train, and we've sent a hundred billion dollars on it.
- 53:42It seems like nothing.
- 53:43So no one seems to ever be held accountable.
- 53:47I just, you know, here's here's my issue.
- 53:50You stabilize Iran, you've stabilized the whole Middle East, you know, Hamas goes away, Hezbollah goes away, the Houtis go away, ISIS is weakened, all the terror organizations like are diminished.
- 54:02And you have an issue, and I'm gonna interrupt because we just have a couple of minutes left in my career, knowing that Iran has a footprint in Latin America, they're in there in Bolivia, they're in Venezuela, they're and just like we have in these areas, uh, like in the United States.
- 54:19Absolutely.
- 54:20So before we we're gonna have you come back on for the full show next time.
- 54:25Unfortunately, this is a little one little segment.
- 54:28But let me ask you this, Human Khalili.
- 54:31How do we take a look at these beautiful murals?
- 54:34How can they look at your work?
- 54:36Um, I mean, you know, clearly not all of us can go to these different cities or or places, but do you have an online place that we can see those gorgeous murals?

- 55:12I you know, I'm a sort of this lone wolf, and I'm trying to make a miracle happen.
- 55:16I feel like I'm the last muralist in the world who's actually putting up these murals.
- 55:21And so as long as the good ones are here from other artists that tell you congratulations, you have any kind of support from the artistic community?
- 55:28I do, and you know, I design these because they're way better muralists than me on paper, and then I hand it, and so I'm always looking for great muralists to partner with.
- 55:38Uh and you know, I want you to make sure I I know you pay them, and and which every artist I know is broke, so that helps.
- 55:46So why don't you give us the contact information again since we have just a little bit more than a minute?
- 55:53Yeah, so on my website is an email address for me.
- 55:56You can always DM me on my Instagram, which is Human TV.
