- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an Unspoiled Network podcast. This is spoil Me,
- 0:08Speaker 1: covering one piece episodes seven hundred and seventy four through
- 0:14Speaker 1: seven hundred and seventy six. A battle to defend zo
- 0:19Speaker 1: Movie and Zunisha, save Zunesha, the straw Hats rescue operation,
- 0:25Speaker 1: and saying goodbye, and descending from the elephant setting out
- 0:29Speaker 1: to take back Sanji. In these episodes, everything with Zunasha
- 0:37Speaker 1: gets settled so satisfactorily that I don't even know where
- 0:42Speaker 1: to begin. I really didn't expect it all to be
- 0:46Speaker 1: so decisive and so sudden, and I, for one, am
- 0:50Speaker 1: here for it. Welcome to spoil Me, Welcome to the
- 1:13Speaker 1: show everyone. I am Natasha. Thank you very much to
- 1:16Speaker 1: Florian for commissioning this episode. I you, guys, I really
- 1:22Speaker 1: really really enjoyed these three episodes. I found myself like
- 1:28Speaker 1: cracking up a few different times. And there is a
- 1:33Speaker 1: point later on that I will get to where I
- 1:36Speaker 1: had another like out loud reaction. So let us begin
- 1:41Speaker 1: a battle to defend so Lufi and Zunisha. Now, I
- 1:47Speaker 1: really want to mention like, I'm still not entirely sure
- 1:53Speaker 1: why it is that only Lufy and Momo can hear Zunisha.
- 1:57Speaker 1: It's evidently just the two of them, and it's I
- 2:04Speaker 1: don't like what it is is the uh. Later on,
- 2:08Speaker 1: Momo has to like scream in order to respond to Zunisia,
- 2:15Speaker 1: which I was really thinking last episode with the voice
- 2:20Speaker 1: coming into their heads, I thought one hundred percent that
- 2:25Speaker 1: it was going to turn out they could speak back
- 2:28Speaker 1: to Zonisia with no problem, and the fact that it's
- 2:32Speaker 1: a one way conversation really sucks ass Like genuinely, I
- 2:39Speaker 1: was just like, oh, that's super inconvenient, But Momo feels
- 2:46Speaker 1: passionately enough that later it doesn't matter. He is able
- 2:50Speaker 1: to get his point across. It takes a little while, though,
- 2:54Speaker 1: because of course Lufy is just screaming out loud, and
- 2:57Speaker 1: everybody is like, why what is he even saying? What
- 3:00Speaker 1: is he hearing? Nobody can understand because they can't hear it,
- 3:05Speaker 1: so he's having this out loud reaction, and meanwhile, Momo
- 3:09Speaker 1: himself is not reacting out loud at all. He's just
- 3:15Speaker 1: kind of curling up and I won't say screaming, but
- 3:19Speaker 1: like there's a sense of I could scream if I
- 3:22Speaker 1: were able to get it out like that, he would
- 3:24Speaker 1: be you know, and the two samurai are very concerned
- 3:31Speaker 1: about him and trying to be like, dude, what can
- 3:33Speaker 1: we do to help you? And he just can't answer them.
- 3:36Speaker 1: So eventually we get to see that he is connecting
- 3:43Speaker 1: somehow to Znatia and seeing through Zonasha's eyes, and y'all,
- 3:49Speaker 1: this was truly some wild shit. So he can see
- 3:54Speaker 1: the ship with Jack on it, and of course when
- 3:58Speaker 1: he says Jack has come back, everybody is like, wait,
- 4:01Speaker 1: he's supposed to be dead. What do you mean? And
- 4:03Speaker 1: he's like, I saw it as clear as day. I
- 4:06Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you, and the voice of
- 4:12Speaker 1: Zunatia has been like, you guys are in grave danger
- 4:16Speaker 1: telling him, and then all of a sudden, you guys,
- 4:19Speaker 1: the dark, bottomless pit turns into you can see Zacia's
- 4:29Speaker 1: eye for a moment, and I literally said out loud,
- 4:35Speaker 1: oh shit, Like I just thought he didn't have any eyes.
- 4:40Speaker 1: But I guess it's just supposed to be that he
- 4:43Speaker 1: has gotten so old and saggy that his eye is
- 4:48Speaker 1: just that far back in his like skin folds or something.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Maybe I don't know. I'll be honest, kids, don't totally know,
- 5:00Speaker 1: but I did. Just you all maybe remember and I'm
- 5:07Speaker 1: sure Florian does that. I was talking to him about
- 5:11Speaker 1: how much the lack of eyes disturbed me in particular,
- 5:15Speaker 1: that was something that like I felt very strongly, why'd
- 5:19Speaker 1: you do that? What was well? I would you do that, though,
- 5:23Speaker 1: because otherwise this isn't look you don't have to make
- 5:29Speaker 1: it so scary, and I understand that, like, maybe it's
- 5:34Speaker 1: this unthinkably old creature that a whole civilization is built on.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Maybe he can be a little creepy. Maybe that is
- 5:42Speaker 1: just inherently creepy, and him being creepy isn't unfair, to
- 5:49Speaker 1: which I say, yeah, but I don't like it. I
- 5:55Speaker 1: really am like not sure if it's better that it
- 6:00Speaker 1: has eyes that we can't see normally or if it
- 6:05Speaker 1: doesn't matter. I don't know, but yeah, So Momo finally
- 6:10Speaker 1: realizes that it's a nation that's speaking to him, and like,
- 6:14Speaker 1: just wanting to I said that I really enjoyed these
- 6:18Speaker 1: three episodes, and I totally did, But I do want
- 6:22Speaker 1: to address the fact that we are fully halfway through
- 6:26Speaker 1: this episode before we finally get to the moment where
- 6:29Speaker 1: Momo realizes that this all takes a long time. Now,
- 6:34Speaker 1: even though it does take a long time, I will
- 6:38Speaker 1: say that I wasn't particularly like mad about it because
- 6:44Speaker 1: everything is so high stakes right now that it actually
- 6:49Speaker 1: felt okay to me, you know, yeah, okay, take your time,
- 6:54Speaker 1: that kind of attitude of just like it's it's a
- 6:57Speaker 1: pretty big idea that we're figuring out here, and I
- 7:01Speaker 1: think that's fair. But I definitely as I'm looking at
- 7:05Speaker 1: it right now and laughing to myself because I scroll
- 7:08Speaker 1: through as I'm talking about it to find the spot,
- 7:11Speaker 1: and you know, it's almost exactly halfway through where we
- 7:14Speaker 1: finally get moment being like, oh my god, it's a Natia.
- 7:18Speaker 1: That's who I'm talking to. Hi, I'm just like God.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I will say, like, there are times where something feels
- 7:23Speaker 1: dragged out, and it really feels dragged out, and then
- 7:29Speaker 1: there are times like this where I actually didn't feel
- 7:33Speaker 1: it so much. I will say that it wasn't like
- 7:38Speaker 1: I wasn't sitting there like, uh, get on with it,
- 7:41Speaker 1: which I'll admit happens. This was such a huge idea
- 7:47Speaker 1: to get across and so bizarre, and so I'm trying
- 7:56Speaker 1: to think of the word that I was able to
- 8:00Speaker 1: sit back and let it wash over me and not
- 8:02Speaker 1: get impatient about it. So I also want to mention
- 8:08Speaker 1: guys that there is this sort of series of towers
- 8:15Speaker 1: on Zoonasha's back. A lot of times when the camera
- 8:18Speaker 1: pulls out and we see the land from further back,
- 8:24Speaker 1: the focus is really on that whale shaped tree, which
- 8:29Speaker 1: I don't I feel like they've mentioned that by name
- 8:32Speaker 1: as being called something, and I'll admit I don't remember
- 8:36Speaker 1: what they called it, but suffice to say, I was
- 8:42Speaker 1: not remembering that there were these huge, very square, almost
- 8:48Speaker 1: pillar like towers. And I don't know if it's been
- 8:52Speaker 1: mentioned what those are for, or where they are from
- 8:56Speaker 1: or what, but uh, I just was startled by them
- 9:01Speaker 1: because I was not thinking about the place. I just
- 9:06Speaker 1: I think I have this happened a lot where I
- 9:08Speaker 1: have a sort of inaccurate picture of the landscape. You know,
- 9:11Speaker 1: they just literally call it the whale trees. To Seraphim,
- 9:13Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's it. Okay, three different, massively different numbers
- 9:20Speaker 1: given over the years. As Oda keeps changing his mind.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Oh about okay, eh Oda. So Zisha is yelling to Momo,
- 9:31Speaker 1: give me the order to fight back, and as he
- 9:35Speaker 1: is doing that, he's like he's trumpeting with his trunk
- 9:43Speaker 1: and he's also like tipping this way, and that his
- 9:49Speaker 1: skin is sort of rippling and causing the entire landscape
- 9:52Speaker 1: to like it almost is like a wave travels through it.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It's really weird looking. And Momo says, the elephant is
- 10:01Speaker 1: requesting permission to fight back. He needs someone to order
- 10:06Speaker 1: him to battle, which I would very much like to
- 10:09Speaker 1: know who set that up, Like you can't just defend yourself.
- 10:14Speaker 1: That's a fucked up system. I don't like this that
- 10:17Speaker 1: he has to ask for permission, But Momo is looking
- 10:22Speaker 1: up and he's like, what should I do? And Lufy says,
- 10:25Speaker 1: you've got to say it. Your voice will be able
- 10:28Speaker 1: to reach him, and he's like, I don't think it'll work,
- 10:32Speaker 1: and Lufy's like, well just try it, because otherwise we
- 10:35Speaker 1: all fucking drown. So what the fuck? And this kid
- 10:39Speaker 1: keeps arguing he won't be able to hear me, and
- 10:41Speaker 1: I just wanted to slap him, I really did. I
- 10:44Speaker 1: just was like, can you just fucking yell and see
- 10:47Speaker 1: what happens? You know, like just stop arguing. In this
- 10:52Speaker 1: amount of time, you could have yelled out to him
- 10:54Speaker 1: three times, shut the fuck up, stop arguing, and do
- 10:57Speaker 1: the fucking thing enough already, but you know, I don't
- 11:01Speaker 1: have a lot of patience with children. So it's so
- 11:06Speaker 1: funny too, because guys, in these three episodes, Robin's ability
- 11:11Speaker 1: comes up many times. I feel like she's put to
- 11:14Speaker 1: work more in these three episodes than she has been
- 11:17Speaker 1: in like the whole series, and it's like constantly turning
- 11:22Speaker 1: out to be let's have Robin. Let people do things
- 11:27Speaker 1: that were really hard to do earlier, but now it's
- 11:30Speaker 1: not so hard for reasons I was saying about, like
- 11:34Speaker 1: climbing up and down the side of the elephant earlier?
- 11:38Speaker 1: Doesn't she have her arms? Couldn't she just do this?
- 11:40Speaker 1: Why are we doing it this way? And then that
- 11:43Speaker 1: is what we do here, and I felt a little
- 11:45Speaker 1: indignant that, like, you just wanted to make things harder
- 11:49Speaker 1: for no fucking reason. So I had to sit through
- 11:51Speaker 1: this poor drawing that is being tortured essentially forcing to
- 11:57Speaker 1: force to carry them up the side. And we could
- 11:59Speaker 1: have just done this from the beginning. But okay, sure,
- 12:04Speaker 1: so Lufy says, the elephant can't take much more, just
- 12:08Speaker 1: do it. Momo has his hand over his head and
- 12:12Speaker 1: is not listening, and I swear to God, I was
- 12:15Speaker 1: ready to just chuck this kid over the side, fuck
- 12:19Speaker 1: do the thing, and it takes far too long for
- 12:24Speaker 1: him to finally get it together. You just see this
- 12:27Speaker 1: poor elephant's eyes starting to close. I swear there's like
- 12:30Speaker 1: almost a single tear coming out. I was so annoyed, y'all.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I was so there is no reason to drag this
- 12:39Speaker 1: out this way. And finally he yells elephant, which, first
- 12:45Speaker 1: of all, you can't call it by its name. Come on,
- 12:49Speaker 1: and then you cannot give up. You now stand your
- 12:54Speaker 1: ground and fight, and hear my plea. I wish for
- 13:00Speaker 1: you to finally make Jack go away. Now this may
- 13:07Speaker 1: be a translation issue, but I just felt like saying
- 13:16Speaker 1: you cannot give up. The animal isn't going to give up.
- 13:21Speaker 1: It needs orders, Like that's not the same thing. And
- 13:28Speaker 1: I want you to make Jack go away. It is
- 13:31Speaker 1: so like that they do it, Zunasha does it. But
- 13:37Speaker 1: it's such a weird. I thought it was going to
- 13:39Speaker 1: be yes, defend us, defend yourself against anybody who would
- 13:44Speaker 1: harm you or us, that it would be a general
- 13:47Speaker 1: sort of you know, but just saying like I want
- 13:49Speaker 1: you to make him go away. I can't help but
- 13:54Speaker 1: actually think this is better wording because it's more to
- 13:59Speaker 1: the point of like, don't just defend yourself. I don't
- 14:02Speaker 1: want to be dealing with this guy at all, so
- 14:05Speaker 1: just send him somewhere, which is what Genetia does and
- 14:08Speaker 1: it shows out to be great. But in the moment,
- 14:11Speaker 1: I was sort of like, that is a weird way
- 14:13Speaker 1: to give him this command. I felt like, oh, that's
- 14:17Speaker 1: not the way I would do it, but sure, Florian
- 14:21Speaker 1: says as a reminder. On Fishman Island, hiro Hoshi, the
- 14:25Speaker 1: Mermaid Princess was known as the ancient weapon Poseidon could
- 14:28Speaker 1: talk to and control Seekings. During that arc, the seekings
- 14:33Speaker 1: talk to her, Oh, sea Kings, I'm you spell the
- 14:38Speaker 1: see Florian, and I was that means seeking, like I'm
- 14:42Speaker 1: looking for something, but you're talking about sea kings, the
- 14:46Speaker 1: giant animal. I'm getting it now. During that arc, the
- 14:50Speaker 1: sea Kings talked to her, and Lufy was able to
- 14:52Speaker 1: understand them as well, which surprised the sea Kings. Right, okay,
- 14:56Speaker 1: thank you for that, Florian. And Sara f m says,
- 14:59Speaker 1: who that gayess on Zenasha is? How you say that, Geish?
- 15:03Speaker 1: I can't remember, good question. It's still a really huge
- 15:06Speaker 1: elephant getting that many people up that far would be
- 15:09Speaker 1: extremely rough. Plus she was bonding with run whatever the
- 15:13Speaker 1: name of that. Bonding with an animal that you're torturing
- 15:17Speaker 1: couldn't be me. So here's the thing on the elephant
- 15:20Speaker 1: that could just be translation issues since so is just
- 15:23Speaker 1: Japanese for elephant, but doesn't isn't Danesha the name of
- 15:28Speaker 1: the elephant, Like doesn't it have its own name? Why
- 15:33Speaker 1: wouldn't you? It doesn't matter ultimately what we get. Another moment,
- 15:39Speaker 1: when he yells you know, we don't want to see
- 15:42Speaker 1: him again, all of a sudden, you hear Zaniesha say understood,
- 15:46Speaker 1: and you see its eye appear again, and its eye
- 15:50Speaker 1: looks a little different this time. It's like not animated,
- 15:53Speaker 1: but the same way I have to mention. And again
- 15:56Speaker 1: I was just like, oh damn. And then I thought
- 16:01Speaker 1: what we were going to get was Zuniesha just stomping
- 16:04Speaker 1: on all of them. It does sort of look like
- 16:07Speaker 1: that's where we're going for a moment, because Zunisha comes forward.
- 16:12Speaker 1: It's weird the way that it's animated, because at first
- 16:16Speaker 1: I thought, oh, okay, this is Dunisha's leg, because there's
- 16:19Speaker 1: something that passes by all of the ships at the
- 16:23Speaker 1: same time, and then you see it like it moves past.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It takes a little while to like clear the camera,
- 16:34Speaker 1: so to speak, and then you realize that was its
- 16:39Speaker 1: trunk that it was like swiping across and lifting. So
- 16:44Speaker 1: considering how long it took for that trunk to swing by,
- 16:49Speaker 1: it's just giving a nice sense of proportion to how
- 16:51Speaker 1: big this thing is. Zunesha takes the longest like wind
- 17:02Speaker 1: up like she is about to pitch for the Yankees,
- 17:08Speaker 1: and bitch slaps this entire fleet of ships into another dimension.
- 17:14Speaker 1: It was so satisfying, y'all the way that she just went,
- 17:19Speaker 1: get the fuck out of my face. I love this
- 17:23Speaker 1: for us. It was wonderful. It made me so happy.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I never thought it was gonna be this easy. I
- 17:29Speaker 1: really didn't. I kind of felt like because of the
- 17:31Speaker 1: way Zo Nation wasn't really reacting when the attack first began,
- 17:35Speaker 1: I was sort of wondering if it even had sentience
- 17:38Speaker 1: in any real way. I was like, you know, I
- 17:41Speaker 1: thought this was gonna be a whole thing, and like, granted,
- 17:44Speaker 1: it is a whole thing, but it's resolved way quicker
- 17:48Speaker 1: than I was expecting. And it's very fun to watch
- 17:51Speaker 1: the pirates observe the trunk going up into the air
- 17:56Speaker 1: and be unable to do jackshit to stop it pun intended, lol, Jack,
- 18:02Speaker 1: But there's just you know, where, what are they gonna do?
- 18:05Speaker 1: They can't travel faster than this trunk can travel, and
- 18:09Speaker 1: they're on ships. It's not like they can jump off
- 18:11Speaker 1: and swim away in time like there's nothing to be done.
- 18:14Speaker 1: They're just sitting ducks. And I do like as the
- 18:18Speaker 1: trunk heads toward them that you see the wave that
- 18:21Speaker 1: it creates in front of it, that begins to lift
- 18:23Speaker 1: them up in the first place. And somebody, one of
- 18:29Speaker 1: the pirates yells, we're not supposed to be in the air.
- 18:32Speaker 1: What do we do now? And I was just like, guys,
- 18:37Speaker 1: what do you think he's gonna tell you? Are you
- 18:40Speaker 1: fucking serious? Are you for real? Right now? This thing?
- 18:44Speaker 1: It's so like when I said about to pitch for
- 18:48Speaker 1: the Yankees. What's so funny is that I thought the
- 18:52Speaker 1: smack was gonna be it. They're hovering and Janasha comes
- 18:57Speaker 1: back and hits them like they are the base and
- 19:00Speaker 1: her trunk is the bat and just totals them. These
- 19:05Speaker 1: ships are broken into like a trillion pieces. Jack's whole
- 19:10Speaker 1: helmet is fucked up. Now. People don't really die in
- 19:14Speaker 1: this show really, unless it's a flashback usually, so it
- 19:19Speaker 1: may be that, like Jack's not dead still, but I'm
- 19:25Speaker 1: perfectly okay with never seeing Jack again. I feel like
- 19:29Speaker 1: this was enough of a WWB SmackDown that we can
- 19:32Speaker 1: just say goodbye to him and it's fine. So personally,
- 19:36Speaker 1: I hope that's a wrap. And the little monkey guy
- 19:42Speaker 1: is the one who observes all of this because like
- 19:45Speaker 1: I keep forgetting about the proportion of everything. So I'm
- 19:48Speaker 1: thinking that our friends are up on the top of
- 19:50Speaker 1: the elephant looking down watching all of this happen, but
- 19:54Speaker 1: they don't know what's happening. It's they're feeling things move
- 19:58Speaker 1: and they're seeing Momo tak, but they don't have an
- 20:01Speaker 1: idea of the real like, you know, the order of
- 20:04Speaker 1: events here, So they're having to get reports from this
- 20:08Speaker 1: monkey who's watching through a little telescope. And when we
- 20:14Speaker 1: go back to Momo, he says the presence has left me,
- 20:19Speaker 1: and Lufy says the same thing, like yeah, I can't
- 20:22Speaker 1: hear the voice either, and Momo almost passes out. It's
- 20:27Speaker 1: kind of funny because like, I'm not this is not criticizing,
- 20:32Speaker 1: but like Lufy's fine, Like Lufy could not be more fine.
- 20:38Speaker 1: He's just oh yeah, wow, big voice. I was something,
- 20:43Speaker 1: Well it's gone now anyway, and Momo is collapsing, and
- 20:48Speaker 1: granted he's a literal child, but I like to think
- 20:52Speaker 1: Lufy is just that infuriatingly like flexible, and I mean
- 20:58Speaker 1: he literally is, but it was just kind of funny
- 21:02Speaker 1: to me. So this is when the monkey calls and
- 21:08Speaker 1: tells everybody, and eventually they're all like, oh, yay, Jack's gone,
- 21:13Speaker 1: this is great, but they they get news later that
- 21:18Speaker 1: the elephant is really really badly injured and that if
- 21:22Speaker 1: they don't do something about it, it is going to
- 21:24Speaker 1: fall over and things are going to get quite bad.
- 21:27Speaker 1: And then at the very end of this we get
- 21:30Speaker 1: the transponder snail that's ringing. We're in this very snowy
- 21:36Speaker 1: landscape with these extremely cool looking trees that look straight
- 21:41Speaker 1: out of like Japanese artwork, and we hear a pooh
- 21:48Speaker 1: and Kaido and a poo says, seems our communication with
- 21:52Speaker 1: Jack was cut off rather abruptly. What now, Kaido? And
- 22:00Speaker 1: it looks like a poo is in prison. I'm not
- 22:06Speaker 1: sure it, like there's bars here, and it couldn't tell
- 22:09Speaker 1: who it was that was behind the bars, but it
- 22:13Speaker 1: just ends with Kido's face and him looking pissed. There's
- 22:17Speaker 1: no further dialogue, and I just wasn't entirely sure if
- 22:20Speaker 1: I was supposed to know what was going on there
- 22:22Speaker 1: or not, but just I guess a heads up that
- 22:26Speaker 1: like Kido knows now that Jack has been taken out,
- 22:31Speaker 1: So then we have the whole issue with trying to
- 22:34Speaker 1: deal with the injury, and there's also I'm trying to
- 22:41Speaker 1: find the the yeah here it is. All that's left
- 22:46Speaker 1: now is to figure out how we're gonna slap the
- 22:48Speaker 1: thing on there. This is Frankie. Remind me, man, back
- 22:51Speaker 1: when you heard the news that Jack was alive, you
- 22:54Speaker 1: talked about preparing some vessels. Would you mind explaining how
- 22:58Speaker 1: you guys launched them? And if you're about to tell
- 23:01Speaker 1: me you just throw them straight down, then you're going
- 23:02Speaker 1: to break this old Shipwright's hard because we are so
- 23:05Speaker 1: high up. They would never survive the fall. And that
- 23:10Speaker 1: musketeer guy that comes over and is like this, these
- 23:15Speaker 1: are all of the ships and they're really cool looking.
- 23:17Speaker 1: They kind of look like Viking vessels. They're smaller, and
- 23:22Speaker 1: they were supposed to be hoop hooked up to these
- 23:25Speaker 1: rigs that have a lowering and raising mechanic that the
- 23:32Speaker 1: ropes roll through. And Frankie says, if you go cut
- 23:37Speaker 1: down some trees, I can repair a lot of these.
- 23:41Speaker 1: So we have a fun little like problem solving session
- 23:44Speaker 1: where we're figuring out exactly how we can like fix
- 23:48Speaker 1: Tu Nasha and how we can get the equipment together
- 23:54Speaker 1: to do the fixing itself. So there's the bandage that
- 24:00Speaker 1: we have to construct, and uh, that is something that's
- 24:06Speaker 1: I feel like it's kind of fun. It's Robin who
- 24:10Speaker 1: takes this over, and she has so she can make
- 24:13Speaker 1: so many arms that she can sew really really quickly,
- 24:16Speaker 1: and she can fold and move things really easily and
- 24:19Speaker 1: quickly as well. So the bandage is actually like no problem.
- 24:23Speaker 1: It's just honestly, what should be the problem here is
- 24:27Speaker 1: actually physically having this much fabric, But what it's treated
- 24:33Speaker 1: as is the fabrics a foregone conclusion. Of course we
- 24:36Speaker 1: have that it's just making something big enough out of it.
- 24:38Speaker 1: That's the problem. I accept that. That's fine, but sorry,
- 24:43Speaker 1: Florian says, also really once said something like all Roger
- 24:46Speaker 1: did was hear the voice of the universe, you got
- 24:50Speaker 1: really mad because no one questioned that. Further me included
- 24:53Speaker 1: it was a wanna be I don't remember that, but
- 24:58Speaker 1: that does sound like me. I get really m that stuff.
- 25:01Speaker 1: I'm a passionate woman, I really am so. As Robin
- 25:09Speaker 1: is working on this and as Frankie is waiting for
- 25:13Speaker 1: his wood to get chopped, that sounds like an innuendo.
- 25:17Speaker 1: It really does. Nami asks Wanda for a sea chart
- 25:23Speaker 1: because you know it will help with navigation. A little
- 25:25Speaker 1: bit later, so everybody is starting to get on their shit.
- 25:30Speaker 1: And speaking of which, Chopper, with his hilarious little headdress
- 25:35Speaker 1: made of pearls, is finding these different herbs that help
- 25:39Speaker 1: with stopping bleeding and I think pain something like that.
- 25:46Speaker 1: And there are a couple of herbs that are so
- 25:50Speaker 1: rare that actually people don't Oh, serilization is the other one,
- 25:54Speaker 1: but most encyclopedias don't even mention it because it's so rare.
- 25:59Speaker 1: And he gets complimented by the doctor and the nurse.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I hesitate to call her a nurse because it just
- 26:08Speaker 1: feels like, oh, it's the lady and she must be
- 26:11Speaker 1: a nurse. But like she's clearly dressed as a nurse,
- 26:14Speaker 1: you know. But she compliments Chopper and later on does
- 26:20Speaker 1: her little face rub up against him, and it's very
- 26:23Speaker 1: clear that he is just so pleased that she is
- 26:28Speaker 1: impressed with him. It's extremely adorable. And I look, guys, Florian.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I want to mention really quick, because it was the
- 26:44Speaker 1: sort of thing where I watched them and then something
- 26:46Speaker 1: happened immediately as I was finishing one, and so I
- 26:49Speaker 1: didn't have time to text you back, but you messaged
- 26:53Speaker 1: me with a couple of little funny bits from I
- 26:58Speaker 1: don't know if it was Instagram or TikTok from the
- 27:02Speaker 1: live action cast, and I watched them and they were
- 27:08Speaker 1: really cute. One of them dudes, who's playing Loofy, has
- 27:12Speaker 1: a dinosaur costume that he's wearing around. It's very goofy.
- 27:16Speaker 1: But at one point, like I went to the comments
- 27:22Speaker 1: really quickly, and I realize, now I should just stay
- 27:24Speaker 1: out of the comments, Like it hasn't been a problem
- 27:27Speaker 1: in the live action ones, but I should just avoid
- 27:30Speaker 1: it anyway. But somebody of the comments said something like
- 27:35Speaker 1: they're introducing choppers soon, the most useless of the straw hats,
- 27:41Speaker 1: And I just want to say, I hope that person
- 27:47Speaker 1: drops dead. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Don't you ever come for my boy again, Okay, because
- 27:59Speaker 1: I'm not having it. I will curse you. I don't
- 28:04Speaker 1: know what it'll look like, but I know you won't
- 28:07Speaker 1: like it. And Chopper doesn't want this for either of us,
- 28:12Speaker 1: So don't come into my house. It's funny because they
- 28:16Speaker 1: weren't in my house at all. We were both in
- 28:18Speaker 1: somebody else's house. But I still take that very personally. Anyway,
- 28:24Speaker 1: they're all gathering all of this stuff so that they
- 28:27Speaker 1: can make a poultice for Zanasha's leg. There is a
- 28:32Speaker 1: sort of a weird moment here, guys. First, Brook chops
- 28:36Speaker 1: down a bunch of trees really quickly, and it's, uh,
- 28:42Speaker 1: you know, one of those bits where he chops them
- 28:44Speaker 1: down and it doesn't look like anything's happened, and there's
- 28:47Speaker 1: a bit of a pause, and then he's sort of
- 28:49Speaker 1: sort of like that should do it, and then all
- 28:51Speaker 1: of a sudden, the trees fall down and everybody's like
- 28:54Speaker 1: holy shit. And then Kenanman showed and he does something
- 29:02Speaker 1: that starts a fire, and as he starts the fire,
- 29:07Speaker 1: his friend Riiso jumps in with a little watering can
- 29:14Speaker 1: and puts out the fire. What was this? Is this
- 29:20Speaker 1: supposed to like season the wood or something? Is this
- 29:22Speaker 1: on purpose? I couldn't tell if that was like, if
- 29:27Speaker 1: this was supposed to be the two of them just
- 29:29Speaker 1: sort of being useless, or if it was like a
- 29:32Speaker 1: joke that is very specific, or if it's like, no,
- 29:36Speaker 1: this is what you do to the wood. You know
- 29:38Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I don't know what this, but anyway,
- 29:41Speaker 1: somebody asks if him using the watering can is ninpoh,
- 29:46Speaker 1: and he says, no, it's not, and gets very embarrassed
- 29:49Speaker 1: for some reason. Then we have Zoro, who in mid
- 29:53Speaker 1: air chops not only all of the branches off of
- 29:56Speaker 1: these tree trunks, but also slices the trunks into perfect
- 30:01Speaker 1: like four by four posts, and then they all land
- 30:05Speaker 1: in piles, and it's extremely what's the word. It's it's
- 30:12Speaker 1: extremely impressive and just so organized, and he has a
- 30:17Speaker 1: moment of really looking like everybody, you're welcome, And honestly,
- 30:22Speaker 1: Zora doesn't get like this very often. But he looks
- 30:26Speaker 1: around and nobody's there, and he's like, you're in the
- 30:30Speaker 1: wrong place. And Law comes up to him and says,
- 30:36Speaker 1: I knew you had trouble with directions, but this is
- 30:40Speaker 1: just plain stupidity. And all of a sudden, Loofy comes
- 30:46Speaker 1: across Zorro and is and it's Karat, who's like, you know,
- 30:51Speaker 1: they're riding on the back of that alligator. And I like,
- 30:57Speaker 1: just this moment, I really thought Zora was in the
- 30:59Speaker 1: right place, that he was with everybody, and he's out
- 31:02Speaker 1: here performing to an audience that I thought it was like,
- 31:06Speaker 1: oh yeah, you they just like went and did something.
- 31:11Speaker 1: They were never there. Who did you think you were
- 31:13Speaker 1: talking to? He's that disconnected from his surroundings. That's genuinely
- 31:18Speaker 1: alarming for somebody with the abilities that he has. At
- 31:22Speaker 1: this point, Law does shambles and he sends Zoro and
- 31:30Speaker 1: all of the wood right over to where everybody is
- 31:33Speaker 1: doing the work, and it almost crushes them, like there's
- 31:37Speaker 1: just you just see the shadow as he falls into place,
- 31:40Speaker 1: and Karat is looking at all of this and is
- 31:43Speaker 1: just extremely starry eyed. And what we get towards the end,
- 31:48Speaker 1: I can't remember if it's this episode. I think it's
- 31:50Speaker 1: this one. Yeah, the very end of this episode is
- 31:53Speaker 1: eventually she asks Loofy to join the straw Hats, but
- 32:00Speaker 1: he doesn't hear her because he winds up remembering I
- 32:03Speaker 1: said that I was going to take Peckhams with me,
- 32:05Speaker 1: and I almost forgot him. I've got to go find
- 32:07Speaker 1: that guy. I just want to say that I don't
- 32:13Speaker 1: want any new members of the crew, and it's not
- 32:19Speaker 1: it's not like I just feel like we don't actually
- 32:23Speaker 1: get enough time with everybody as it is. You know,
- 32:27Speaker 1: I want to see more of the people that we've got,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and we don't have time to like touch base with
- 32:33Speaker 1: them a lot. And I just think enough already. We
- 32:36Speaker 1: don't need to be adding any further, you know what
- 32:39Speaker 1: I'm saying. It just seems like if we stretch the
- 32:44Speaker 1: attention of the audience any thinner, it's going to start
- 32:48Speaker 1: to just feel like pure chaos. So personally, as much
- 32:52Speaker 1: as I don't even want to say as much as
- 32:55Speaker 1: I like Carrot, because I don't feel one way or
- 32:57Speaker 1: the other about Carrot, like she's cute, she's like fine,
- 33:02Speaker 1: but I don't like her particularly, I'll say that I
- 33:07Speaker 1: don't have anything against Carrot, but like, no, girl, I
- 33:10Speaker 1: don't want you as part of this. I don't want
- 33:11Speaker 1: to do this. And it feels that by the end,
- 33:17Speaker 1: she's making a decision that she's gonna like stow away,
- 33:21Speaker 1: and I might be misreading that. I don't know, but
- 33:24Speaker 1: it just seemed to me and like she's sort of
- 33:27Speaker 1: talking herself into something, and like they have other members
- 33:31Speaker 1: of the Minks that are going to be accompanying them,
- 33:35Speaker 1: so it's possible that it won't feel as annoying because
- 33:41Speaker 1: there are going to be other Minks there, and so
- 33:44Speaker 1: it'll just have this sort of sense of like, Okay,
- 33:46Speaker 1: we've just got some representatives with us, and they're not
- 33:49Speaker 1: members of the crew, so maybe it'll be fine. But
- 33:51Speaker 1: just from where I'm sitting right now, I'm sort of whatever.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Seraphim says, that wasn't the nurse. The nurse is the
- 33:59Speaker 1: squirrel girl means milky the one chopper is blushing about. Wait, no, okay,
- 34:05Speaker 1: the squirrel nurse is Tristan. The reindeer chopper is blushing
- 34:09Speaker 1: about is milky, and it's showing he's got himself a crush. Yeah, oh,
- 34:13Speaker 1: he definitely does. That started when he first saw her,
- 34:18Speaker 1: which I mean she is a buxom lass, so yeah.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Florian says like he has defeated Caesar's poisons at many points,
- 34:25Speaker 1: and help the kids with the drugs. He is not useless, amen, Florian. Look,
- 34:30Speaker 1: I will say this I and this ties in with
- 34:35Speaker 1: me earlier saying we haven't gotten to see enough of
- 34:37Speaker 1: the crew As it is, Chopper is criminally underused. In
- 34:44Speaker 1: my opinion, I want a lot more of him in
- 34:49Speaker 1: different contexts. It's not as bad anymore as it had
- 34:54Speaker 1: been where it was just one like adventure after another
- 35:00Speaker 1: with him getting left on the ship, because it just
- 35:02Speaker 1: seemed like that was all we were doing for a minute,
- 35:05Speaker 1: and I was starting to be like, can we fucking
- 35:07Speaker 1: think of something new for him, please? And now that's
- 35:12Speaker 1: been sort of left by the wayside, and I hope
- 35:15Speaker 1: it stays that way. But I just I wouldn't mind
- 35:20Speaker 1: seeing him getting involved in actual physical fights a little
- 35:24Speaker 1: bit more, because he can be pretty impressive sometimes and
- 35:30Speaker 1: it's just something different. Maybe I can understand people feeling
- 35:34Speaker 1: like they don't really enjoy Chopper as much because his
- 35:37Speaker 1: abilities are much more low key, cerebral instead of combat
- 35:43Speaker 1: based and flashy, which I get. I think that's kind
- 35:47Speaker 1: of immature, but I get it. But Chopper is capable
- 35:52Speaker 1: of the flashy stuff too, and we just don't get
- 35:55Speaker 1: it very often, and there is a built in threshold
- 36:00Speaker 1: where if he takes too many rumble balls, then he
- 36:03Speaker 1: freaks out, gets really sick, you know, point of no return.
- 36:07Speaker 1: So yeah, there's a ceiling on how much we can do.
- 36:10Speaker 1: But I still wish we did it more. I really
- 36:13Speaker 1: wouldn't mind it. You know, if Saraphim says, look to
- 36:17Speaker 1: some people, anyone who doesn't punch people in the face
- 36:20Speaker 1: is useless. That's I think that's really it, you know. Uh,
- 36:24Speaker 1: Sarahim says, Zora, He's literally gotten lost walking down a
- 36:27Speaker 1: straight hallway. This man is the worst sense of direction ever.
- 36:31Speaker 1: It's Zora. How how So this is the moment where
- 36:36Speaker 1: no Me is sort of like just talking generally, speaking about, Ay,
- 36:41Speaker 1: we have to do, you know, we have to start
- 36:43Speaker 1: figuring out our course. And she looks out the window
- 36:46Speaker 1: and there is what looks like a fucking mushroom cloud
- 36:50Speaker 1: on the horizon. It is humongous, and she says, that's
- 36:56Speaker 1: a silent super cell. It's a giant thundercloud that appears suddenly,
- 37:01Speaker 1: without any warning. It causes a terrible storm like you've
- 37:04Speaker 1: never seen, and the damage will be severe. We can't
- 37:09Speaker 1: treat the elephant, right now you got to tell them
- 37:12Speaker 1: all to stand by, and they are like in it.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Things are, things are happening. They're already lowering the ships
- 37:20Speaker 1: down the sides of the elephant so that they can
- 37:22Speaker 1: start putting the bandage on, and choppers down there using
- 37:27Speaker 1: a huge paintbrush to put the salve on it. And
- 37:31Speaker 1: you just see the wind begin to pick up, and
- 37:39Speaker 1: one of the minks is like yelling like we've got
- 37:41Speaker 1: to hold on and not get shaken off because they're
- 37:44Speaker 1: again but basically the dangling in the end of strings
- 37:48Speaker 1: off of the side, and Frankie is just like, all right,
- 37:53Speaker 1: we got to pull these guys up because if they
- 37:55Speaker 1: get got the rope is going to fly right off
- 37:58Speaker 1: of the I don't know what you call the things
- 38:01Speaker 1: that the rope gets fed through, but suffice to say
- 38:07Speaker 1: they could completely unravel. And then you see one of
- 38:10Speaker 1: them that happens and the ship falls completely sideways, and guys,
- 38:17Speaker 1: it was so funny. You're seeing all of them starting
- 38:19Speaker 1: to fall backwards and like bounce off the back of
- 38:23Speaker 1: the ship and they fly and just are like mid
- 38:27Speaker 1: air and then Loofy grabs onto one of the ships,
- 38:33Speaker 1: strings his arm out in front of them and sort
- 38:35Speaker 1: of catches them like clotheslined across their chests, and they
- 38:39Speaker 1: slide down his arm towards one of the other ships,
- 38:43Speaker 1: and then you see one of the other like rope
- 38:47Speaker 1: lines ripple, and honestly, guys, this is genuinely, really tense.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Like there are many times where I know I'm supposed
- 38:58Speaker 1: to be worried about people, but I'm kind of not,
- 39:02Speaker 1: and this was a time where I was sort of
- 39:04Speaker 1: like I might be worried there might be something that's
- 39:06Speaker 1: going to happen to everybody, like I don't know. I
- 39:09Speaker 1: also I really dislike heights too, and I think that
- 39:12Speaker 1: factors in where I'm watching everybody just dangling over open
- 39:16Speaker 1: ocean and maybe about to simply tumble to their deaths,
- 39:20Speaker 1: and that just is a very visceral thing for somebody
- 39:22Speaker 1: who is afraid of heights. So that also combined with
- 39:26Speaker 1: like the pelting rain and the way it's animated, it
- 39:32Speaker 1: just adds a sense of chaos. And then you see,
- 39:37Speaker 1: all of a sudden, the whole rope breaks and it
- 39:41Speaker 1: begins to slide downward, and then it stops and Chopper,
- 39:49Speaker 1: who's freaking out, looks up and it's just like Loofy,
- 39:53Speaker 1: because Loofy is holding on a one side and has
- 39:56Speaker 1: reached out and has grabbed the other side of the
- 40:00Speaker 1: rope and he's holding it. And I Am not kidding you,
- 40:03Speaker 1: you guys. I literally went this guy, I just like
- 40:10Speaker 1: I was just genuinely like, oh no, And then he
- 40:13Speaker 1: grabs it and saves him on and I was like, oh,
- 40:16Speaker 1: look at him being out here doing shit. I think
- 40:20Speaker 1: it's like Lufy is just so he's so inconsistent with
- 40:28Speaker 1: like when he decides to be super useful and when
- 40:32Speaker 1: he is flying out with his ADHD doing like pointless
- 40:39Speaker 1: shit or distracted by stuff, that every time he's actually
- 40:45Speaker 1: focused enough to help in a moment of crisis like this,
- 40:48Speaker 1: it's not about fighting anybody, it's just about helping. I
- 40:52Speaker 1: think that I just underestimate him sometimes because I'm so
- 40:56Speaker 1: used to him being kind of unreliable, you know. So anyway,
- 41:01Speaker 1: this is when we get the grid work of arms
- 41:05Speaker 1: that Robin uses, and she says, you guys in the
- 41:10Speaker 1: most sedate voice, sorry to have kept you all waiting.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Use my arms. They'll save you. It's so it's so
- 41:26Speaker 1: like it's like she's just telling people to get in
- 41:30Speaker 1: the car we're going to the mall getting losers. We're
- 41:35Speaker 1: going climbing. It's just so deadpan, it's so weird. She's
- 41:41Speaker 1: such a weirdo. Anyway, Okay, so yes, they begin to
- 41:46Speaker 1: climb up the sides. Things are going well, and then
- 41:50Speaker 1: Mooviy departs again because he is trying to fill this
- 41:53Speaker 1: backpack with food and he is just ubsessed with the
- 41:58Speaker 1: concept of getting enough food for this trip. The size
- 42:01Speaker 1: of the bag that he grabs, and they'd give him
- 42:04Speaker 1: permission to gather up as much as he can carry.
- 42:07Speaker 1: And I don't know if they really realized how much
- 42:10Speaker 1: that is, but it's plenty. So yeah, jumping ahead a
- 42:17Speaker 1: little bit, they finished patching up the poor elephant after
- 42:21Speaker 1: the storm passes. Now, I'll be honest, guys, I really
- 42:24Speaker 1: thought this storm was going to be more of a thing.
- 42:27Speaker 1: It's like, as soon as they finish getting those those
- 42:30Speaker 1: boats back up and everybody is safe, the storm's over.
- 42:35Speaker 1: It sort of went the same way as like the
- 42:39Speaker 1: whole thing with the elephant itself. I really just thought
- 42:41Speaker 1: this was gonna last a lot longer, and it turns out, Nah,
- 42:45Speaker 1: we're done within one episode. It's fine. I'm not really
- 42:49Speaker 1: mad about it. It's just funny to me because you know,
- 42:51Speaker 1: the show can be like drag some things out so
- 42:54Speaker 1: much that when it doesn't, I'm always sort of like whiplashed,
- 42:58Speaker 1: you know. So okay, jumping into the next episode, I'm
- 43:02Speaker 1: trying to see where I should go here, let's see.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Momonoske wants to stay in zo. I wish
- 43:15Speaker 1: to know why this creature could hear my voice asking
- 43:19Speaker 1: the right questions? And he says, I need to see
- 43:21Speaker 1: if Zunasha knows anything about the Kozuki clan, and then
- 43:26Speaker 1: he I think it's him, or maybe it's somebody else.
- 43:29Speaker 1: I'm trying to remember, but somebody says, I also really
- 43:35Speaker 1: want to ask Zunesha. Maybe it's dog Storm. He says,
- 43:44Speaker 1: I want to ask Nisha. You've been walking a long time.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Where are you going? And I cackled because honestly, that's
- 43:55Speaker 1: a fucking great question and that never even entered my mind.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Where you're headed? What are you trying to get to?
- 44:01Speaker 1: What is this? You know? Like what I'm going to
- 44:05Speaker 1: hazard a guess, because Oda loves tragedy, is that Zanesha
- 44:11Speaker 1: is one of like a pack of huge elephants and
- 44:14Speaker 1: he had a whole family and he's been separated from them,
- 44:19Speaker 1: and so he's just spent a thousand years trying to
- 44:21Speaker 1: find his family again or something something awful and heartbreaking
- 44:26Speaker 1: and devastating, you know, something like that. That's my guess,
- 44:30Speaker 1: But I don't know, but I did. I just really
- 44:34Speaker 1: did enjoy the fact that, like, where you're going is
- 44:38Speaker 1: the question because they just never even thought of it.
- 44:44Speaker 1: And let's see, I'm trying to find the spot too,
- 44:46Speaker 1: because there's a mention of somebody getting a viver card made.
- 44:51Speaker 1: I think it's Kenamun. But guys, remind me, how do
- 44:58Speaker 1: you make a viver card? I know this is been mentioned,
- 45:00Speaker 1: and I don't recall how this works. Let's see earlier
- 45:06Speaker 1: Cat Viper created a viaver card for me, please distribute this,
- 45:11Speaker 1: and so he breaks it up. This is Kinane handing
- 45:14Speaker 1: them out to everybody. I propose that we separate into
- 45:16Speaker 1: four teams. First, someone must seek out Marco the Phoenix,
- 45:22Speaker 1: the former first division commander of the White Beard Pirates,
- 45:26Speaker 1: you know, the guy who looks like a pineapple, and uh,
- 45:30Speaker 1: that is going to be cat Viper that does that.
- 45:34Speaker 1: And then we've some of you should stand so and
- 45:38Speaker 1: join us. At a later time, and that's dog Storm, Momo,
- 45:45Speaker 1: the dragon, and oh no, these guys. It's the rat,
- 45:51Speaker 1: the dragon, the lion, and the zebra, the ones that
- 45:54Speaker 1: are the three musketeers, right right right. We get a
- 45:58Speaker 1: little chart for this too. Third, we need to send
- 46:00Speaker 1: a party to Whole Cake Island to rescue Sir Sangi
- 46:03Speaker 1: from Big Mom. I just want to register that I
- 46:06Speaker 1: didn't remember it was called Whole Cake Island, and I
- 46:10Speaker 1: don't know why, but it could have been any kind
- 46:12Speaker 1: of cake, and he just chose the word whole. And
- 46:15Speaker 1: there is something about that that I find very funny
- 46:17Speaker 1: and I don't I can't put my finger on it.
- 46:20Speaker 1: But of course that's gonna be Lufy's group, Brooke Lufy,
- 46:25Speaker 1: Nammy Peckham's and of course our boy Chopper. I did notice,
- 46:32Speaker 1: like Frankie isn't in that group. It's he's not pictured,
- 46:35Speaker 1: and I was sort of like, is this some kind
- 46:38Speaker 1: of uh, what's the word I want? Is he being
- 46:43Speaker 1: left out because he's not considered as important? But no,
- 46:47Speaker 1: he is part of the other group along with Zorro.
- 46:51Speaker 1: And let's say I'm trying to jump back, but guys,
- 46:56Speaker 1: I gotta say credishy Roll is very unco operative when
- 47:00Speaker 1: it comes to me, like scrubbing through episodes to see things.
- 47:03Speaker 1: The rest of us will return to Wuano, gather allies
- 47:06Speaker 1: and plot a strategy until the other three teams arrive,
- 47:10Speaker 1: and that is Oosup, Zoro, Kinniwan, Condrero, Riizo, Law, Frankie
- 47:19Speaker 1: and Robin. I have got to be honest, I'm worried
- 47:26Speaker 1: about there being so many fighters going to Wana and
- 47:29Speaker 1: not enough to big moms. But I guess we'll just
- 47:33Speaker 1: have to see how it goes. It just seems like
- 47:35Speaker 1: we're leaving a lot of hey heavy hitters, and ah,
- 47:40Speaker 1: I'm worried about it. So this is when Lufy goes
- 47:45Speaker 1: to pick up Peckham's and the house collapsed apparently, I guess,
- 47:51Speaker 1: in all of the attack, and Peckhams has eaten the
- 47:57Speaker 1: turtle turtle fruit, so he's he's got a turtle shell
- 48:02Speaker 1: that protects him. I don't know if we knew this already.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I don't remember this, but it's such a weird moment.
- 48:11Speaker 1: And Lufy says, oh my god, now you're turtle viper,
- 48:15Speaker 1: and Peckhams is like, you get my name wrong all
- 48:17Speaker 1: the time. But the fact that you didn't even keep
- 48:20Speaker 1: the word lying in it. That's bothering me, Like, don't
- 48:24Speaker 1: it's not fair. Can't a fellow recover in peace? And
- 48:32Speaker 1: Peckham's when he gets up here, Let's see what is
- 48:34Speaker 1: it that he says, because he's he makes this like
- 48:38Speaker 1: big statement that he thinks Lufy's gonna have a strong
- 48:40Speaker 1: reaction to, and then he doesn't. Yeah, because I'm the
- 48:43Speaker 1: man with the power of the turtle turtle fruit. You
- 48:45Speaker 1: saw my shell. It's hard and durable like diamond. Are
- 48:49Speaker 1: you listening? And Lufy just says Chopper said he would
- 48:52Speaker 1: be in charge of making sure you get better so
- 48:54Speaker 1: you don't have to worry. And he says, you little brat,
- 48:57Speaker 1: I was kind of expecting a big reaction to that
- 48:59Speaker 1: part about the diamond. And you, anybody who ever expects
- 49:05Speaker 1: a certain reaction from Lufy about anything other than meat,
- 49:09Speaker 1: you are doomed to be disappointed. I am so sorry
- 49:12Speaker 1: to tell you. Let's see, so not counting Lufy, it's
- 49:17Speaker 1: all the straw hats who were gone from das Rosa.
- 49:20Speaker 1: What the mission is to sneak in. There's not going
- 49:22Speaker 1: to be any fighting. Yeah, uh huh. We saw back
- 49:25Speaker 1: in Fishman Island, I think, and it's how he survived
- 49:28Speaker 1: Beij shooting him. Okay, right, right, right, So then we
- 49:34Speaker 1: have the scene where everybody wants to go with the
- 49:38Speaker 1: straw Hats and they're all talking to cat Viper about
- 49:41Speaker 1: why they should be able to go. They want to
- 49:45Speaker 1: help Lufy because Sonji protected Zoh and they failed to
- 49:51Speaker 1: protect Sanji from being taken on their very own soil.
- 49:56Speaker 1: So they're like, we can't just send Peckham's the only
- 50:00Speaker 1: mink like. They don't say it, but it feels very
- 50:03Speaker 1: much like he isn't very good as a rep for us.
- 50:08Speaker 1: He's shady, He's done shady stuff. We know it, you
- 50:13Speaker 1: know it. I don't want to have him out there
- 50:18Speaker 1: as the one, you know. And honestly I see that
- 50:22Speaker 1: a little bit. I think that he's right, so, you know,
- 50:27Speaker 1: he's putting himself forward as like, yeah, I definitely want
- 50:31Speaker 1: to be the one to go. And this is when
- 50:35Speaker 1: Shashilian shows up who I cannot say that name without
- 50:39Speaker 1: laughing hysterically inside, and they want to go, but uh,
- 50:46Speaker 1: what's his face? What's the name of the leopard guy
- 50:48Speaker 1: with the cigarette? He tells Shashilian, this is a stealth
- 50:53Speaker 1: mission and you are an insufferable loud mouth, which honestly,
- 50:58Speaker 1: every time Shashilian has shown up, he is doing all
- 51:03Speaker 1: kinds of cartwheels and spins and yelling. And this man
- 51:09Speaker 1: is extremely much He's very very much le he is.
- 51:16Speaker 1: You just don't You're not gonna be good for this dude,
- 51:21Speaker 1: not at all. Then we get Milky send me as
- 51:26Speaker 1: Doctor Chopper's assistant. And then uh, one of the other two, wait,
- 51:32Speaker 1: we became good friends with loofy let us go. I
- 51:37Speaker 1: love when they say we became good friends and Patrio
- 51:40Speaker 1: says yeah after attacking him. And then my favorite was
- 51:45Speaker 1: the big sheep dude, Yomo, and he's like, send me
- 51:50Speaker 1: she likes sleeping on my stomach nom does, which I
- 51:55Speaker 1: actually laughed out loud over that one. That cracked me
- 51:58Speaker 1: up a little bit. I like I want to just
- 52:03Speaker 1: somebody asked, because like the response Pedro, thank you Sarah,
- 52:08Speaker 1: And the response Pedro has is what does that have
- 52:12Speaker 1: to do with anything? The response should be you are
- 52:15Speaker 1: literally bigger than their ship. What do you think we're
- 52:18Speaker 1: gonna do with this? Like you know what I'm saying,
- 52:21Speaker 1: but uh, but yeah, I this whole bit of everybody
- 52:26Speaker 1: desperately wanting to go. It was kind of heartwarming. So
- 52:31Speaker 1: let's see. Uh, cat Viper says, Pedro is the only
- 52:39Speaker 1: one that's going to get to go, and cat Viper
- 52:43Speaker 1: his word apparently is law. Shashilian accepts it. He's very sad,
- 52:48Speaker 1: but he accepts it. And then we get probably like
- 52:54Speaker 1: one of the most important developments of this trio of episodes,
- 52:59Speaker 1: which is the new climatech rod that USAP has made
- 53:05Speaker 1: for Nami. Now, it's one of those things where I
- 53:14Speaker 1: don't like, none of none of this works in a
- 53:16Speaker 1: way that I understand or can explain. It's totally fine.
- 53:19Speaker 1: I don't care about that part. It's so much power
- 53:25Speaker 1: that she is able to wield in theory that I
- 53:28Speaker 1: am just like, this is almost too much, and I
- 53:32Speaker 1: am really pleased, just because I had been feeling Liken
- 53:39Speaker 1: Me is kind of the only one that I didn't
- 53:43Speaker 1: feel came away from the two years with a like
- 53:48Speaker 1: perceptible difference that I am that I could see from
- 53:52Speaker 1: her time learning, you know. Yeah, So I'm not saying
- 54:01Speaker 1: that there wasn't some growth, It's just that it was
- 54:04Speaker 1: much less noticeable, and I'm feeling like it sucks a
- 54:08Speaker 1: little bit that the growth that she's getting is really
- 54:10Speaker 1: just a toy that was made for her by Usop,
- 54:13Speaker 1: Like that's kind of not her, that's Usop doing it really,
- 54:17Speaker 1: which I've sort of had an issue with from the beginning. However,
- 54:23Speaker 1: I do really like to see Usop winning. You know,
- 54:27Speaker 1: he can be such a buffoon sometimes with the way
- 54:31Speaker 1: that he is portrayed, but then he's like actually capable
- 54:34Speaker 1: a lot, so I'll get frustrated with the fact that
- 54:37Speaker 1: he's being like played as this goon when we've seen
- 54:41Speaker 1: him do genuinely impressive shit. So yeah, she starts playing
- 54:47Speaker 1: with it, and she is so excited. It's really cute
- 54:51Speaker 1: because once she puts it away, she says to us Up,
- 54:57Speaker 1: this is awesome. It's like you took all the sun
- 55:00Speaker 1: cience of Waria to the absolute limit. This is the
- 55:03Speaker 1: sorcery Climatettack I've always dreamed about. Thanks us Up, You're
- 55:09Speaker 1: the best. And I was genuinely like, oh shit, I
- 55:12Speaker 1: don't feel like she ever pays this kind of compliment,
- 55:15Speaker 1: like she really likes this, and oos Up says, do
- 55:20Speaker 1: you really mean it? No trouble at all, Glad you
- 55:24Speaker 1: like it. I thought you'd want a weapon upgrade to
- 55:27Speaker 1: make you feel safe, and I'm just the guy to
- 55:29Speaker 1: do that for you. Now the materials weren't free, so
- 55:34Speaker 1: and now he gives him a wink and says, let's
- 55:39Speaker 1: try a mirage tempo and disappears, and I was like, ah,
- 55:45Speaker 1: that's where we were going with that. She's complimentary and
- 55:48Speaker 1: very grateful up until he's asking for money, and then
- 55:52Speaker 1: she is out out, which is very, very fun. I
- 55:57Speaker 1: like this a lot. Sarah says, it's a combo of
- 56:01Speaker 1: the skill and knowledge no Me got from with area
- 56:03Speaker 1: about controlling weather and usab's technical skill to give her
- 56:06Speaker 1: a practical way to use it. Okay, I wish that
- 56:11Speaker 1: we're more obvious because I don't feel that like I
- 56:14Speaker 1: accept it, but I think this is it's just so odd,
- 56:18Speaker 1: you guys. It's so weird how much the show like
- 56:22Speaker 1: drags certain things out, and then there are things that
- 56:25Speaker 1: I wish we'd spend time on and it doesn't spend
- 56:27Speaker 1: any time at all. And I'd like a little bit
- 56:30Speaker 1: more explanation of certain things and a little more exploration
- 56:34Speaker 1: of moments for other characters, you know, just saying so,
- 56:41Speaker 1: then we have everybody gathered up to say goodbye at
- 56:44Speaker 1: Zoe at the gate and I'm looking at it like,
- 56:48Speaker 1: all right, so, how exactly is this going to work?
- 56:51Speaker 1: Because I'm thinking, like, we're gonna drop off the crew
- 56:56Speaker 1: that's leaving with one of those boats that gets lowered.
- 57:00Speaker 1: You know that it'd be a little thing. And instead
- 57:04Speaker 1: Lufi just says, no thanks, we're good and wraps his
- 57:09Speaker 1: arms around them and then literally jumps off the side
- 57:13Speaker 1: and you get a very prolonged screaming sequence of everybody
- 57:20Speaker 1: who was not prepared for this moment as they plummet
- 57:24Speaker 1: down to the ocean. And then meanwhile in the grand
- 57:32Speaker 1: Line in the Kingdom of Sand called Alabasta, and it's
- 57:38Speaker 1: Viv saying hurry up, father, and he says, why are
- 57:43Speaker 1: you in such a good mood? And she is smiling
- 57:49Speaker 1: and her duck guy is chasing after her and you
- 57:53Speaker 1: just see her like turn to the camera and wink
- 57:57Speaker 1: and say, why not. It's been a long while time
- 58:00Speaker 1: since I went out to see And she is literally
- 58:04Speaker 1: going like yay as she is running toward a ship,
- 58:08Speaker 1: and that is the end of that scene. Sarah says,
- 58:16Speaker 1: your favorite character, Caru says a Florian, Yeah, that's the
- 58:20Speaker 1: duck I always forget his name. Yeah, you guys, it's
- 58:24Speaker 1: so funny because we were talking. There's a preview out
- 58:27Speaker 1: for the live action and Viv is in it, and
- 58:32Speaker 1: it caused some conversation surrounding Viv in the chat on discord,
- 58:39Speaker 1: and it was just one of those things where I
- 58:44Speaker 1: really regret that I don't like Viv, but it's all
- 58:48Speaker 1: the elements are there for something I should like, and
- 58:52Speaker 1: it was just executed very badly. To me, all I
- 58:56Speaker 1: think of when I think of Viv is how much
- 58:59Speaker 1: she was constantly crying and also not telling the straw
- 59:04Speaker 1: hats about threats that were like something that they needed
- 59:08Speaker 1: to face, and it was played as a joke, but
- 59:11Speaker 1: it just makes her looking competent, so it didn't work.
- 59:15Speaker 1: And then once we get to the actual, like, you know,
- 59:19Speaker 1: it's supposed to be this heartbreaking, please stop fighting, everybody,
- 59:24Speaker 1: stop fighting, but it just did not hit for me
- 59:26Speaker 1: at all. And I hope that her being brought back that, like,
- 59:33Speaker 1: let's just pray she doesn't cry so much, because I
- 59:35Speaker 1: can't take it. It's like a combo of just that
- 59:38Speaker 1: she's supposed to be like kind of tough and smart,
- 59:43Speaker 1: but she's never actually being tough and smart. It doesn't
- 59:47Speaker 1: happen in front of us. We're just sort of led
- 59:50Speaker 1: to believe she must have been in order to get
- 59:52Speaker 1: through the whole thing with the oh my god, what
- 59:57Speaker 1: do you call them? You know, boroke club? And I just, yeah,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Florie is saying the same thing. I wonder if you'll
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: feel different in the live action. I am hoping to
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: God that she isn't like that. In the live action.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: You can get emotional about wanting to protect your people,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: but like, that can't be all you fucking do all
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: the time. I can't take it. And also it's the
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: way that the actress played her. Her voice and her
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: crying is just annoying, really irritating. So I think that
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: was also a factor that just counts against the character
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: in a way that maybe if I was reading it
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: as manga, it wouldn't happen that way, But watching it,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I just couldn't take the sound of her voice. It
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: was awful. So you know that's that. But yeah, I'm
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: hoping that in the live action they toughen her up
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: a little bit. Fingers crossed. All right, guys, I have
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: got to wrap up, but thank you all again for
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: joining me. Appreciate you all, Thank you Florien for commissioning
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: this one, and looking forward to seeing where we go next.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Until then, to the lou motherfuckers. That was an unspoiled
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: network podcast.
