  how

  are

  fantastic.
• 1:32
  How
• 1:33
  about

  you?
• 1:34
  Ah,

  good.
• 1:34
  Like,
• 1:35
  very
• 1:35
  appropriate
• 1:36
  there.
• 1:37
  Yes.
• 1:37
  If
• 1:37
  you
• 1:37
  couldn't

  tell

  from

  there

  Evan.
• 1:45
  So
• 1:46
  first
• 1:46
  off,
• 1:46
  this
• 1:46
  is
• 1:46
  part
• 1:47
  of

  our

  So
• 1:52
  we'll
• 1:52
  talk
• 1:52
  about
• 1:53
  that
• 1:53
  series
• 1:53
  in

  just
• 1:53

  July,
• 2:00
  we
• 2:00
  wanted
• 2:00
  to

  the

  Story.
• 2:06
  So
• 2:06
  we're
• 2:06
  doing
• 2:07
  a
• 2:07
  part
• 2:07
  of
• 2:07
  the
• 2:07
  series
• 2:07
  and
• 2:08
  just
• 2:08
  a
• 2:09
  little
• 2:09
  bit
• 2:09
  of
• 2:09
  an
• 2:09
  overview
• 2:10
  about
• 2:11
  what
• 2:11
  this
• 2:11
  series
• 2:12
  is.
• 2:12
  So
• 2:13
  our
• 2:13
  summer
• 2:13
  Drive
• 2:14
  in
• 2:14
  series
• 2:14
  we've
• 2:15
  done
• 2:15
  in
• 2:15
  the
• 2:15
  past
• 2:15
  where
• 2:16
  we
• 2:16
  just
• 2:17
  do
• 2:17
  kind
• 2:17
  of
• 2:17
  short
• 2:18
  revisits
• 2:19
  of
• 2:19
  anything
• 2:20
  from
• 2:20
  classic
• 2:20
  movies
• 2:21
  to
• 2:22
  summer
• 2:22
  blockbusters
• 2:23
  to.
• 2:24
  And
• 2:24
  in
• 2:24
  this
• 2:25
  case,
• 2:25
  we're
• 2:25
  doing

  a

  Rotten

• 2:28
  we're

  looking
• 2:28
  at
• 2:28
  movies
• 2:29
  that
• 2:29
  have
• 2:30
  a
• 2:30
  30%

• 2:34
  looking
• 2:34
  at
• 2:34
  the
• 2:35
  how,
• 2:35
  you
• 2:36
  know,
• 2:36
  does
• 2:36
  it
• 2:36
  deserve
• 2:37
  that
• 2:37
  score?
• 2:38
  Is
• 2:38
  the
• 2:38
  movie,
• 2:39
  you
• 2:39
  know,
• 2:40
  perhaps
• 2:40
  better
• 2:40
  than
• 2:41
  we
• 2:41
  remember?
• 2:42
  We're
• 2:42
  going
• 2:42
  to
• 2:42
  look
• 2:42
  at
• 2:43
  all
• 2:43
  those
• 2:43
  things.
• 2:43
  And
• 2:43
  so
• 2:44
  I'm
• 2:44
  very
• 2:45
  excited
• 2:45
  to
• 2:46
  get
• 2:46
  into
• 2:46
  this.
• 2:47
  And
• 2:48
  yeah,
• 2:48
  we're.
• 2:49
  And
• 2:50
  if
• 2:50
  you
• 2:50
  want
• 2:50
  to
• 2:50
  check
• 2:50
  out
• 2:51
  the
• 2:51
  other
• 2:52
  episodes
• 2:53
  on
• 2:54
  the
• 2:54
  in
• 2:54
  this
• 2:54
  series,
• 2:55
  check
• 2:55
  out
• 2:55
  the
• 2:55
  show
• 2:56
  notes
• 2:56
  for
• 2:56
  a
• 2:56
  playlist
• 2:57
  where
• 2:57
  you
• 2:57
  can
• 2:57
  find
• 2:58
  the
• 2:58
  whole
• 2:58
  series
• 2:59
  here.
• 2:59
  So.
• 3:00
  So,
• 3:00
  yeah,
• 3:00
  so,
• 3:01
  Evan,
• 3:01
  let's
• 3:01
  jump
• 3:02
  right
• 3:02
  in.
• 3:03
  We're
• 3:03
  very
• 3:03
  excited.
• 3:04
  So.
• 3:05
  Okay,
• 3:05
  so
• 3:05
  let
• 3:05
  me
• 3:05
  just
• 3:06
  ask
• 3:06
  you,
• 3:07
  thinking
• 3:07
  about
• 3:08
  this
• 3:08
  movie,
• 3:08
  2005
• 3:09
  Fantastic
• 3:09
  Four,
• 3:10
  if
• 3:10
  we
• 3:11
  had
• 3:11
  just
• 3:11
  left
• 3:12
  the
• 3:12
  Drive
• 3:12
  in,
• 3:13
  seeing
• 3:13
  this
• 3:13
  for
• 3:13
  the
• 3:14
  first
• 3:14
  time,
• 3:15
  what
• 3:15
  would
• 3:15
  be
• 3:15
  your
• 3:16
  first
• 3:16
  reaction
• 3:17
  or
• 3:17
  first
• 3:17
  thing
• 3:18
  you
• 3:18
  would
• 3:18
  say?
• 3:18
  So
• 3:18
  and
• 3:19
  try
• 3:19
  to
• 3:19
  put
• 3:19
  it
• 3:19
  in
• 3:19
  the
• 3:20
  Context
• 3:20
  of
• 3:20
  It's
• 3:20
  2005.
• 3:21
  We're
• 3:21
  just
• 3:22
  leaving
• 3:22
  the
• 3:23
  Drive
• 3:23
  in
• 3:23
  theater.
• 3:23
  We've
• 3:23
  just
• 3:24
  seen
• 3:24
  this
• 3:24
  movie.
• 3:24
  What
• 3:25
  are
• 3:25
  your
• 3:25
  thoughts?
• 3:25
  I
• 3:26
  would
• 3:27
  get
• 3:28
  out
• 3:28
  of
• 3:28
  the
• 3:28
  movie
• 3:28
  theater,
• 3:29
  walk
• 3:30
  over,
• 3:30
  find
• 3:31
  the
• 3:31
  nearest
• 3:31
  payphone
• 3:32
  and
• 3:32
  call
• 3:33
  collect
• 3:33
  to
• 3:33
  my
• 3:34
  mom
• 3:34
  and
• 3:34
  say,
• 3:34
  come
• 3:35
  pick
• 3:35
  me
• 3:35
  up
• 3:35
  because
• 3:36
  I
• 3:36
  need
• 3:37
  to
• 3:38
  erase
• 3:38
  this
• 3:39
  film
• 3:39
  from
• 3:39
  my
• 3:39
  memory.
• 3:43
  Brutal.
• 3:44
  But
• 3:44
  I
• 3:44
  love
• 3:44
  it.
• 3:45
  I
• 3:46
  love
• 3:46
  the
• 3:46
  descript.
• 3:47
  Not
• 3:47
  just
• 3:47
  like,
• 3:47
  oh,
• 3:48
  that
• 3:48
  was
• 3:48
  pretty
• 3:48
  bad.
• 3:48
  I
• 3:49
  love
• 3:49
  how
• 3:49
  you
• 3:49
  describe
• 3:50
  it
• 3:50
  as,
• 3:51
  this
• 3:51
  is
• 3:51
  an
• 3:52
  emergency.
• 3:52
  And
• 3:52
  I
• 3:53
  this
• 3:53
  is
• 3:53
  an
• 3:53
  emergency.
• 3:54
  Bob,
• 3:54
  help.
• 3:55
  Because
• 3:55
  I
• 3:56
  was
• 3:56
  in
• 3:57
  high
• 3:57
  school
• 3:57
  when
• 3:57
  this
• 3:58
  came
• 3:58
  out.
• 3:58
  I
• 3:58
  was
• 3:58
  a
• 3:58
  junior
• 3:59
  senior.
• 3:59
  So
• 4:00
  yeah,
• 4:01
  man,
• 4:01
  you
• 4:01
  know,
• 4:02
  my
• 4:02
  relation
• 4:02
  to
• 4:02
  this
• 4:03
  movie,
• 4:03
  I
• 4:03
  do
• 4:03
  have
• 4:04
  a
• 4:04
  very
• 4:04
  specific
• 4:05
  angle
• 4:05
  with
• 4:05
  it
• 4:05
  because.
• 4:06
  So
• 4:06
  I
• 4:06
  was
• 4:06
  in
• 4:06
  middle
• 4:07
  school
• 4:07
  or.
• 4:07
  No,
• 4:07
  not
• 4:08
  even
• 4:08
  middle
• 4:08
  school
• 4:08
  was.
• 4:09
  It
• 4:09
  was
• 4:09
  the
• 4:09
  summer
• 4:09
  between
• 4:11
  elementary
• 4:11
  and
• 4:12
  middle
• 4:12
  school.
• 4:12
  And
• 4:13
  when
• 4:13
  this
• 4:14
  movie
• 4:14
  came
• 4:14
  out,
• 4:14
  I
• 4:15
  was
• 4:15
  having
• 4:16
  like
• 4:16
  a
• 4:16
  severe
• 4:17
  spinal
• 4:18
  surgery
• 4:18
  that
• 4:18
  summer.
• 4:19
  And
• 4:19
  so
• 4:20
  I
• 4:20
  remember
• 4:21
  the
• 4:21
  anticipation
• 4:22
  for
• 4:22
  the
• 4:22
  movie.
• 4:22
  Like
• 4:23
  I
• 4:23
  had
• 4:23
  seen
• 4:23
  Fantastic
• 4:24
  Four
• 4:24
  in
• 4:24
  the
• 4:25
  magazines
• 4:25
  and
• 4:25
  I
• 4:25
  think
• 4:26
  I
• 4:26
  knew
• 4:26
  the
• 4:26
  characters
• 4:26
  from
• 4:27
  the
• 4:27
  cartoons
• 4:28
  and
• 4:28
  so
• 4:28
  I
• 4:28
  got
• 4:28
  all
• 4:29
  the
• 4:29
  action
• 4:29
  figures.
• 4:29
  So
• 4:30
  I
• 4:30
  was
• 4:30
  like,
• 4:31
  I
• 4:31
  had
• 4:32
  had
• 4:32
  the
• 4:32
  surgery
• 4:33
  when
• 4:33
  the
• 4:33
  movie
• 4:33
  came
• 4:34
  out,
• 4:34
  so.
• 4:34
  So
• 4:34
  I
• 4:35
  didn't
• 4:35
  get
• 4:35
  to
• 4:35
  see
• 4:35
  it
• 4:35
  until
• 4:36
  like
• 4:36
  a
• 4:36
  couple
• 4:36
  months
• 4:36
  later.
• 4:37
  So
• 4:37
  it
• 4:37
  was
• 4:38
  for
• 4:38
  me,
• 4:38
  a
• 4:39
  lot
• 4:39
  of
• 4:39
  anticipation.
• 4:40
  I
• 4:40
  again,
• 4:41
  I
• 4:41
  had
• 4:41
  all
• 4:41
  the
• 4:41
  action
• 4:41
  figures.
• 4:42
  I
• 4:42
  was
• 4:42
  really
• 4:43
  excited
• 4:43
  for
• 4:43
  the
• 4:43
  characters.
• 4:44
  So
• 4:44
  I
• 4:44
  had
• 4:44
  a
• 4:45
  little
• 4:45
  more
• 4:46
  of
• 4:46
  that
• 4:46
  childhood
• 4:47
  awe.
• 4:48
  So
• 4:48
  putting
• 4:48
  it
• 4:48
  in
• 4:48
  perspective
• 4:49
  there
• 4:50
  now,
• 4:50
  do
• 4:50
  I
• 4:51
  say
• 4:51
  that
• 4:51
  it's
• 4:51
  a
• 4:51
  good
• 4:51
  movie?
• 4:52
  Not.
• 4:53
  No,
• 4:53
  not
• 4:53
  at
• 4:53
  least.
• 4:54
  And
• 4:54
  especially
• 4:55
  upon
• 4:55
  revisiting
• 4:56
  this,
• 4:57
  it
• 4:57
  was
• 4:57
  hilarious.
• 4:59
  And
• 4:59
  we
• 4:59
  can
• 4:59
  get
• 4:59
  into
• 5:00
  just
• 5:00
  some
• 5:01
  of
• 5:02
  what
• 5:02
  really
• 5:03
  justifies,
• 5:04
  I
• 5:04
  think,
• 5:04
  the
• 5:05
  Rotten
• 5:05
  Tomatoes
• 5:05
  score.
• 5:06
  But
• 5:06
  I
• 5:06
  do
• 5:06
  want
• 5:06
  to
• 5:07
  say
• 5:07
  that
• 5:07
  that
• 5:07
  like,
• 5:09
  my
• 5:09
  relationship
• 5:10
  with
• 5:10
  this,
• 5:10
  with
• 5:10
  this
• 5:11
  movie
• 5:11
  specifically
• 5:12
  is
• 5:12
  unique
• 5:13
  in
• 5:13
  that,
• 5:13
  yeah,
• 5:14
  I
• 5:14
  remember
• 5:14
  where
• 5:14
  I
• 5:14
  was.
• 5:15
  I
• 5:15
  remember
• 5:15
  that
• 5:15
  summer.
• 5:16
  And
• 5:16
  you
• 5:16
  know,
• 5:16
  I
• 5:17
  was
• 5:17
  just
• 5:17
  so
• 5:17
  eager
• 5:18
  for
• 5:18
  like
• 5:19
  to
• 5:19
  get
• 5:19
  back
• 5:19
  to
• 5:19
  the
• 5:20
  theater,
• 5:20
  get,
• 5:20
  you
• 5:20
  know,
• 5:21
  post
• 5:21
  recovery
• 5:21
  and
• 5:22
  everything.
• 5:22
  So.
• 5:22
  I
• 5:23
  know.
• 5:23
  And
• 5:23
  then
• 5:23
  I.
• 5:24
  And
• 5:24
  I
• 5:24
  love
• 5:24
  the
• 5:24
  action
• 5:25
  figures,
• 5:25
  loved
• 5:25
  all
• 5:26
  that.
• 5:26
  So
• 5:26
  the
• 5:26
  hype
• 5:27
  for
• 5:27
  me
• 5:27
  was
• 5:27
  there.
• 5:27
  And
• 5:28
  I
• 5:28
  think,
• 5:28
  like,
• 5:29
  you
• 5:29
  know
• 5:29
  what,
• 5:30
  11
• 5:30
  year
• 5:31
  old
• 5:31
  me
• 5:31
  did
• 5:32
  enjoy
• 5:32
  it
• 5:32
  quite
• 5:33
  a
• 5:33
  bit.
• 5:33
  I
• 5:34
  probably
• 5:34
  would
• 5:34
  have
• 5:34
  had
• 5:35
  a
• 5:35
  much
• 5:35
  different
• 5:35
  reaction
• 5:36
  if
• 5:36
  I
• 5:36
  was
• 5:37
  my
• 5:37
  age
• 5:37
  now
• 5:38
  seeing
• 5:38
  it
• 5:38
  for
• 5:38
  the
• 5:39
  first
• 5:39
  time.
• 5:40
  So
• 5:40
  I
• 5:40
  do
• 5:40
  have
• 5:41
  that
• 5:41
  relationship.
• 5:41
  But.
• 5:42
  But
• 5:42
  yeah,
• 5:43
  no,
• 5:43
  I
• 5:43
  cannot
• 5:43
  say
• 5:44
  it
• 5:44
  is
• 5:44
  a
• 5:45
  great
• 5:45
  movie
• 5:46
  by
• 5:46
  any
• 5:46
  means.
• 5:47
  You
• 5:48
  know,
• 5:48
  I
• 5:48
  think
• 5:48
  one
• 5:48
  of
• 5:48
  the
• 5:49
  funniest
• 5:49
  things
• 5:49
  about
• 5:50
  it
• 5:50
  rewatching
• 5:51
  that
• 5:51
  I
• 5:51
  forgot.
• 5:52
  I
• 5:52
  mean,
• 5:53
  right
• 5:53
  off
• 5:54
  the
• 5:54
  bat,
• 5:54
  after
• 5:55
  the
• 5:55
  little
• 5:55
  like
• 5:56
  music
• 5:57
  theme
• 5:58
  intro
• 5:58
  sequence,
• 5:59
  the
• 6:00
  opening
• 6:00
  scene
• 6:01
  of
• 6:01
  a
• 6:02
  superhero
• 6:02
  comic
• 6:03
  book
• 6:03
  movie
• 6:03
  is
• 6:04
  literally
• 6:04
  a
• 6:04
  business
• 6:05
  pitch
• 6:05
  where
• 6:06
  Reed
• 6:06
  Richards
• 6:07
  and
• 6:07
  Ben
• 6:07
  Grimm
• 6:08
  are
• 6:08
  trying
• 6:09
  to
• 6:09
  sell
• 6:09
  their
• 6:09
  idea
• 6:10
  to
• 6:10
  Victor
• 6:11
  von
• 6:11
  Doom.
• 6:11
  That's
• 6:12
  how
• 6:12
  the
• 6:12
  movie
• 6:12
  opens.
• 6:13
  And
• 6:13
  this
• 6:13
  is
• 6:13
  Fantastic
• 6:14
  Four.
• 6:14
  And
• 6:15
  I'm
• 6:15
  not
• 6:15
  saying
• 6:15
  you
• 6:15
  have
• 6:16
  to
• 6:16
  like,
• 6:16
  you
• 6:16
  know,
• 6:17
  jump
• 6:17
  right
• 6:17
  into
• 6:17
  a
• 6:18
  big
• 6:18
  fight
• 6:18
  and
• 6:18
  all
• 6:18
  that,
• 6:19
  but,
• 6:19
  you
• 6:19
  know,
• 6:19
  this
• 6:19
  is
• 6:19
  an
• 6:20
  origin
• 6:20
  story.
• 6:20
  But
• 6:21
  my,
• 6:21
  you
• 6:21
  know,
• 6:22
  if
• 6:22
  I
• 6:22
  were
• 6:22
  doing
• 6:22
  this
• 6:23
  movie
• 6:23
  right
• 6:23
  off
• 6:24
  the
• 6:24
  bat,
• 6:24
  I
• 6:24
  would
• 6:24
  change
• 6:25
  it
• 6:25
  to
• 6:26
  start
• 6:26
  off
• 6:26
  at
• 6:27
  least
• 6:27
  with,
• 6:27
  you
• 6:28
  know,
• 6:28
  an
• 6:28
  image
• 6:29
  of
• 6:30
  the
• 6:30
  solar
• 6:31
  flare
• 6:31
  and
• 6:32
  the
• 6:32
  like
• 6:33
  the
• 6:33
  accident
• 6:34
  in
• 6:34
  space.
• 6:34
  And
• 6:35
  then
• 6:35
  cut
• 6:35
  back
• 6:35
  to,
• 6:36
  you
• 6:37
  know,
• 6:37
  say
• 6:37
  three
• 6:37
  days
• 6:37
  earlier
• 6:38
  and
• 6:39
  start
• 6:39
  us
• 6:39
  here.
• 6:39
  But
• 6:40
  it
• 6:40
  starts
• 6:40
  off
• 6:40
  on
• 6:41
  such
• 6:41
  a
• 6:42
  boring
• 6:42
  note.
• 6:42
  I
• 6:43
  was
• 6:43
  like,
• 6:43
  wow.
• 6:44
  The
• 6:44
  only
• 6:45
  reason
• 6:45
  why
• 6:46
  I
• 6:47
  could
• 6:47
  think
• 6:47
  that
• 6:48
  is
• 6:48
  because
• 6:49
  they
• 6:49
  Thought
• 6:50
  maybe
• 6:51
  that,
• 6:52
  that,
• 6:53
  that
• 6:54
  if
• 6:54
  we
• 6:54
  started
• 6:55
  on
• 6:55
  the
• 6:55
  solar
• 6:56
  flare
• 6:56
  and
• 6:57
  stuff,
• 6:57
  the
• 6:58
  non
• 6:58
  comic
• 6:58
  book
• 6:58
  people
• 6:59
  would
• 6:59
  be
• 7:00
  confused
• 7:01
  because
• 7:02
  they,
• 7:03
  because
• 7:03
  it's.
• 7:04
  So
• 7:04
  then
• 7:04
  they.
• 7:05
  So
• 7:05
  then
• 7:05
  they
• 7:06
  try
• 7:06
  to
• 7:06
  give
• 7:06
  us
• 7:06
  something
• 7:07
  more
• 7:08
  relatable.
• 7:09
  So.
• 7:10
  And
• 7:10
  I
• 7:10
  do
• 7:11
  get
• 7:11
  that.
• 7:11
  Yeah,
• 7:12
  it
• 7:12
  was
• 7:12
  just
• 7:12
  like
• 7:13
  when
• 7:13
  I
• 7:13
  was
• 7:13
  watching
• 7:14
  it
• 7:14
  last
• 7:14
  night,
• 7:14
  I
• 7:14
  was
• 7:15
  like,
• 7:15
  wow,
• 7:15
  right
• 7:16
  off
• 7:16
  the
• 7:16
  bat.
• 7:16
  But.
• 7:17
  But
• 7:17
  no.
• 7:18
  And
• 7:18
  before
• 7:18
  we
• 7:19
  talk
• 7:19
  about
• 7:19
  more,
• 7:19
  let's
• 7:19
  introduce
• 7:20
  it
• 7:20
  a
• 7:20
  little
• 7:20
  bit
• 7:20
  more.
• 7:21
  So
• 7:21
  again,
• 7:21
  this
• 7:22
  is
• 7:22
  the
• 7:23
  2005
• 7:23
  Fantastic
• 7:24
  Four
• 7:24
  movie
• 7:24
  directed
• 7:25
  by
• 7:25
  Tim
• 7:25
  Story
• 7:26
  that
• 7:27
  covers
• 7:27
  the
• 7:27
  origins
• 7:28
  of
• 7:28
  Marvel's
• 7:29
  first
• 7:29
  family.
• 7:29
  It
• 7:30
  was
• 7:30
  the
• 7:30
  first
• 7:30
  big
• 7:31
  budget
• 7:31
  Fantastic
• 7:32
  Four
• 7:32
  movie.
• 7:32
  There
• 7:33
  was
• 7:33
  the
• 7:33
  Roger
• 7:34
  Corman
• 7:34
  produced
• 7:35
  one
• 7:35
  in
• 7:35
  the
• 7:35
  90s
• 7:36
  that
• 7:36
  was
• 7:36
  famously
• 7:37
  never
• 7:37
  released,
• 7:37
  even
• 7:38
  though,
• 7:38
  like,
• 7:39
  I
• 7:39
  so
• 7:39
  wish
• 7:40
  we
• 7:40
  could
• 7:40
  get
• 7:40
  that
• 7:40
  version.
• 7:41
  And
• 7:42
  since
• 7:42
  then
• 7:42
  there
• 7:42
  have
• 7:42
  been
• 7:43
  two
• 7:43
  other
• 7:43
  Fantastic
• 7:44
  Four
• 7:44
  movies.
• 7:44
  There
• 7:45
  was
• 7:45
  the
• 7:45
  sequel
• 7:45
  to
• 7:45
  this
• 7:46
  one
• 7:46
  in
• 7:46
  2007
• 7:47
  called
• 7:47
  Rise
• 7:48
  of
• 7:48
  the
• 7:48
  Silver
• 7:48
  Surfer,
• 7:48
  which
• 7:49
  funny
• 7:49
  enough.
• 7:49
  Okay,
• 7:50
  so
• 7:50
  when
• 7:51
  we,
• 7:51
  Evan
• 7:51
  and
• 7:51
  I
• 7:52
  were
• 7:52
  looking
• 7:52
  at
• 7:52
  movies
• 7:52
  to
• 7:52
  pick,
• 7:53
  I
• 7:53
  immediately
• 7:53
  thought
• 7:54
  of
• 7:54
  Fantastic
• 7:54
  Four
• 7:54
  because
• 7:55
  I
• 7:55
  was
• 7:55
  like,
• 7:55
  oh,
• 7:55
  this
• 7:55
  would
• 7:56
  be
• 7:56
  perfect
• 7:56
  timing
• 7:56
  with
• 7:57
  the
• 7:57
  MCU
• 7:57
  movie
• 7:57
  coming
• 7:58
  out.
• 7:58
  But
• 7:58
  I
• 7:58
  picked
• 7:59
  Fantastic
• 7:59
  Four
• 8:00
  2
• 8:00
  first
• 8:01
  because
• 8:01
  I
• 8:01
  was
• 8:01
  like,
• 8:02
  surely
• 8:02
  this
• 8:03
  one
• 8:03
  has
• 8:03
  a
• 8:03
  worse
• 8:04
  rotten
• 8:04
  Vento
• 8:05
  score.
• 8:05
  Dude.
• 8:06
  It
• 8:06
  has
• 8:06
  a
• 8:07
  better
• 8:07
  one.
• 8:07
  It
• 8:08
  has
• 8:08
  like
• 8:08
  a
• 8:08
  37%
• 8:10
  and
• 8:10
  this
• 8:10
  one
• 8:11
  has
• 8:11
  just
• 8:11
  under
• 8:12
  30.
• 8:12
  I'm
• 8:13
  not
• 8:13
  saying
• 8:13
  either
• 8:14
  movie
• 8:14
  or
• 8:14
  other
• 8:15
  movies
• 8:15
  good.
• 8:16
  But
• 8:16
  I
• 8:17
  would
• 8:17
  hands
• 8:18
  down
• 8:18
  say
• 8:18
  that
• 8:19
  two
• 8:19
  is
• 8:19
  infinitely
• 8:20
  worse.
• 8:20
  And
• 8:21
  that
• 8:21
  movie,
• 8:22
  like
• 8:22
  the
• 8:23
  Read
• 8:23
  and
• 8:23
  Sue
• 8:23
  wedding,
• 8:24
  takes
• 8:24
  about
• 8:25
  30
• 8:25
  minutes.
• 8:26
  Galactus
• 8:27
  is
• 8:27
  a
• 8:27
  giant
• 8:27
  cloud.
• 8:28
  I
• 8:29
  mean,
• 8:29
  that
• 8:29
  movie
• 8:29
  is
• 8:29
  terrible.
• 8:30
  The
• 8:31
  only
• 8:31
  saving
• 8:31
  grace
• 8:32
  is
• 8:32
  that
• 8:32
  Silver
• 8:33
  Surfer
• 8:33
  looks
• 8:33
  good.
• 8:34
  But
• 8:34
  like,
• 8:35
  I
• 8:35
  mean,
• 8:35
  I
• 8:35
  think
• 8:35
  with
• 8:35
  this
• 8:36
  movie
• 8:36
  and
• 8:36
  it's.
• 8:37
  I
• 8:37
  know
• 8:37
  you
• 8:37
  had
• 8:37
  a
• 8:37
  harsh.
• 8:38
  More
• 8:38
  vorvious.
• 8:39
  Right,
• 8:39
  right.
• 8:39
  Yes.
• 8:40
  Like,
• 8:40
  I
• 8:41
  mean,
• 8:41
  it's
• 8:41
  got
• 8:41
  some,
• 8:41
  it's
• 8:42
  got
• 8:42
  some
• 8:42
  solid
• 8:42
  interest
• 8:42
  there.
• 8:43
  It
• 8:43
  also
• 8:43
  has
• 8:44
  a
• 8:44
  really
• 8:44
  funny
• 8:44
  Stan
• 8:45
  Lee
• 8:45
  cameo
• 8:46
  in
• 8:46
  fantasy
• 8:46
  4:2
• 8:47
  where
• 8:48
  he's
• 8:48
  trying.
• 8:48
  Stan
• 8:49
  Lee
• 8:49
  as
• 8:49
  himself
• 8:50
  is
• 8:50
  trying
• 8:50
  to
• 8:50
  get
• 8:51
  into
• 8:51
  the
• 8:51
  wedding
• 8:51
  of
• 8:52
  Reed
• 8:52
  and
• 8:52
  Sue
• 8:53
  and
• 8:53
  they're.
• 8:54
  And
• 8:54
  they're
• 8:54
  pushing
• 8:54
  him
• 8:55
  away
• 8:55
  and
• 8:55
  he's
• 8:55
  like,
• 8:55
  I'm
• 8:55
  Stan
• 8:56
  Lee.
• 8:56
  I'm
• 8:56
  Stan
• 8:56
  Lee.
• 8:57
  You
• 8:57
  know,
• 8:57
  so
• 8:57
  that
• 8:57
  was
• 8:58
  the
• 8:58
  most
• 8:58
  like,
• 8:58
  meta
• 8:59
  one
• 8:59
  that
• 8:59
  they've
• 8:59
  done
• 8:59
  so
• 9:00
  that.
• 9:00
  That
• 9:00
  I
• 9:00
  still
• 9:01
  remember
• 9:01
  laughing
• 9:02
  at
• 9:02
  in
• 9:02
  the
• 9:02
  theater.
• 9:03
  But.
• 9:04
  But
• 9:04
  yeah,
• 9:04
  so
• 9:05
  this
• 9:05
  one,
• 9:05
  it's
• 9:06
  pretty
• 9:06
  standard,
• 9:07
  fair
• 9:07
  origin
• 9:08
  story.
• 9:08
  It
• 9:09
  is,
• 9:09
  as
• 9:09
  we
• 9:09
  were
• 9:10
  discussing
• 9:10
  right
• 9:10
  before
• 9:11
  recording,
• 9:11
  this
• 9:12
  is
• 9:12
  about
• 9:12
  as
• 9:13
  early
• 9:13
  2000s
• 9:14
  as
• 9:14
  you
• 9:14
  can
• 9:14
  get
• 9:15
  in
• 9:16
  terms
• 9:16
  of
• 9:16
  the
• 9:16
  execution.
• 9:17
  Like,
• 9:17
  I
• 9:17
  don't
• 9:17
  know
• 9:18
  what,
• 9:18
  what.
• 9:18
  Okay.
• 9:19
  Because
• 9:19
  you
• 9:19
  have
• 9:19
  such
• 9:19
  a
• 9:20
  visceral
• 9:20
  reaction,
• 9:20
  you
• 9:21
  want
• 9:21
  to
• 9:21
  talk
• 9:21
  a
• 9:21
  little
• 9:22
  bit
• 9:22
  about
• 9:22
  that
• 9:22
  and
• 9:22
  some
• 9:22
  of
• 9:23
  the
• 9:23
  tropes
• 9:23
  here
• 9:23
  we
• 9:23
  see
• 9:24
  that
• 9:24
  are
• 9:24
  so.
• 9:25
  Of
• 9:25
  the
• 9:25
  time.
• 9:26
  Yeah.
• 9:27
  The
• 9:27
  first
• 9:28
  was
• 9:28
  the
• 9:28
  font
• 9:29
  of
• 9:29
  the
• 9:30
  credits
• 9:31
  and
• 9:31
  the
• 9:31
  title
• 9:32
  screen.
• 9:33
  It
• 9:33
  was
• 9:34
  so
• 9:34
  try
• 9:35
  not
• 9:35
  to
• 9:35
  be
• 9:35
  Spider
• 9:36
  Man.
• 9:36
  But
• 9:36
  it's.
• 9:37
  But.
• 9:38
  But
• 9:38
  still
• 9:39
  Spider
• 9:39
  Man.
• 9:40
  That
• 9:40
  whole
• 9:41
  vibe
• 9:41
  of.
• 9:42
  And
• 9:43
  I
• 9:43
  have
• 9:43
  a
• 9:44
  comment
• 9:44
  on
• 9:44
  that,
• 9:44
  which
• 9:44
  I
• 9:45
  think
• 9:45
  it
• 9:45
  is
• 9:45
  interesting
• 9:46
  because
• 9:48
  I
• 9:48
  felt
• 9:49
  like
• 9:49
  this
• 9:49
  movie
• 9:50
  suffered
• 9:51
  that
• 9:51
  it
• 9:52
  wasn't
• 9:52
  a
• 9:52
  part
• 9:52
  of
• 9:53
  something
• 9:53
  else.
• 9:54
  It
• 9:54
  was
• 9:54
  just
• 9:55
  trying
• 9:55
  to
• 9:55
  be
• 9:55
  something.
• 9:56
  And
• 9:56
  it
• 9:56
  was
• 9:57
  trying
• 9:57
  to
• 9:57
  be
• 9:57
  too
• 9:57
  much
• 9:57
  at
• 9:58
  one
• 9:58
  time.
• 9:59
  Maybe
• 9:59
  if
• 9:59
  it
• 9:59
  made
• 10:00
  a
• 10:00
  reference
• 10:00
  to
• 10:00
  something
• 10:01
  else,
• 10:02
  it
• 10:02
  would
• 10:02
  have
• 10:03
  been
• 10:03
  better.
• 10:04
  But
• 10:04
  the.
• 10:05
  But
• 10:06
  the
• 10:06
  whole
• 10:06
  Palm
• 10:07
  Pilots
• 10:08
  and
• 10:08
  the,
• 10:10
  The
• 10:10
  Porsches
• 10:11
  and
• 10:11
  the
• 10:11
  whole.
• 10:13
  The
• 10:13
  whole
• 10:14
  Johnny
• 10:14
  Storm
• 10:15
  and
• 10:15
  his
• 10:16
  jockey
• 10:18
  extreme
• 10:18
  sports
• 10:19
  kind
• 10:19
  of
• 10:19
  vibe
• 10:20
  was
• 10:20
  so
• 10:21
  2000s,
• 10:22
  so
• 10:22
  2005.
• 10:24
  And
• 10:24
  just.
• 10:25
  Oh,
• 10:25
  man.
• 10:26
  Just,
• 10:27
  just
• 10:27
  that.
• 10:28
  And
• 10:29
  then
• 10:29
  the
• 10:29
  focus
• 10:29
  on
• 10:30
  the,
• 10:31
  on
• 10:31
  the
• 10:31
  relationship
• 10:32
  of,
• 10:33
  Of,
• 10:34
  Of.
• 10:35
  Of
• 10:35
  Sue
• 10:35
  Storm
• 10:37
  with
• 10:37
  Mr.
• 10:38
  Fantastic
• 10:39
  and
• 10:39
  all
• 10:39
  that
• 10:40
  drama
• 10:41
  was
• 10:42
  so
• 10:42
  superficial.
• 10:43
  And,
• 10:44
  and
• 10:45
  the
• 10:45
  whole
• 10:46
  she's
• 10:46
  invisible
• 10:47
  but
• 10:47
  she's
• 10:48
  in
• 10:48
  her
• 10:49
  underwear
• 10:49
  trope.
• 10:50
  I'm
• 10:50
  like,
• 10:51
  that's
• 10:51
  why
• 10:51
  she's.
• 10:52
  She's.
• 10:53
  She's.
• 10:53
  She's
• 10:54
  Jessica
• 10:54
  Alba.
• 10:55
  It's
• 10:55
  like.
• 10:57
  Dude.
• 10:58
  And
• 10:58
  one
• 10:58
  of
• 10:59
  the
• 10:59
  things
• 10:59
  I,
• 11:00
  I
• 11:00
  thought
• 11:00
  about
• 11:00
  too
• 11:01
  was,
• 11:02
  I'm
• 11:02
  okay.
• 11:02
  When
• 11:03
  you
• 11:03
  make
• 11:03
  a
• 11:04
  real.
• 11:04
  What?
• 11:04
  One
• 11:05
  really
• 11:05
  tongue
• 11:05
  in
• 11:05
  cheek
• 11:06
  reference
• 11:07
  to
• 11:07
  a
• 11:07
  superhero
• 11:08
  name
• 11:08
  before
• 11:08
  they
• 11:08
  become
• 11:09
  a
• 11:09
  series.
• 11:09
  So,
• 11:09
  like,
• 11:09
  for
• 11:10
  instance,
• 11:10
  like
• 11:10
  in
• 11:10
  the
• 11:10
  Flash
• 11:11
  pilot,
• 11:12
  you
• 11:12
  know,
• 11:13
  they
• 11:13
  make
• 11:13
  a
• 11:13
  bunch
• 11:13
  of
• 11:13
  like,
• 11:14
  running
• 11:14
  references
• 11:15
  before
• 11:15
  Barry
• 11:16
  gets
• 11:16
  his
• 11:16
  powers.
• 11:16
  Like
• 11:16
  that.
• 11:17
  You.
• 11:17
  You're
• 11:17
  allowed,
• 11:18
  like
• 11:18
  one
• 11:18
  of
• 11:18
  those.
• 11:19
  It's
• 11:19
  fine,
• 11:20
  man.
• 11:20
  Do
• 11:20
  they
• 11:20
  hammer
• 11:21
  it
• 11:21
  in
• 11:21
  here.
• 11:21
  Okay,
• 11:22
  in
• 11:22
  the
• 11:22
  very.
• 11:23
  In
• 11:23
  the
• 11:23
  opening
• 11:23
  scene,
• 11:24
  when
• 11:24
  they're
• 11:25
  doing
• 11:25
  it
• 11:25
  back
• 11:25
  to
• 11:25
  the
• 11:26
  business
• 11:26
  pitch
• 11:26
  meeting
• 11:26
  when
• 11:28
  Reed
• 11:28
  and
• 11:28
  Ben
• 11:29
  are
• 11:29
  trying
• 11:29
  to
• 11:29
  get
• 11:29
  funding
• 11:29
  for
• 11:30
  their
• 11:30
  space
• 11:30
  mission
• 11:31
  from
• 11:31
  Victor
• 11:31
  Von
• 11:31
  Doom.
• 11:32
  Doom
• 11:33
  literally
• 11:33
  says
• 11:34
  to
• 11:34
  read
• 11:34
  like,
• 11:35
  all
• 11:35
  Reed
• 11:36
  Richards
• 11:36
  always
• 11:36
  stretching
• 11:37
  for
• 11:37
  the
• 11:37
  stars.
• 11:38
  Like,
• 11:38
  always
• 11:38
  stretching
• 11:38
  for
• 11:38
  something.
• 11:39
  And
• 11:39
  then.
• 11:40
  But
• 11:40
  okay,
• 11:41
  you
• 11:41
  can
• 11:41
  get
• 11:41
  away
• 11:41
  with
• 11:42
  that
• 11:42
  once.
• 11:42
  No,
• 11:42
  they
• 11:43
  do
• 11:43
  that
• 11:43
  for
• 11:43
  every
• 11:44
  character.
• 11:44
  Every
• 11:45
  character
• 11:45
  has
• 11:45
  it.
• 11:45
  Johnny,
• 11:46
  he's
• 11:46
  always
• 11:47
  a
• 11:47
  hothead.
• 11:48
  So
• 11:48
  like
• 11:48
  sue,
• 11:49
  right
• 11:49
  before
• 11:49
  she
• 11:50
  first
• 11:51
  gets
• 11:51
  her
• 11:51
  powers
• 11:51
  and
• 11:51
  starts
• 11:52
  turning
• 11:52
  invisible,
• 11:52
  she's
• 11:53
  like,
• 11:53
  it's
• 11:53
  like,
• 11:53
  you
• 11:53
  don't
• 11:54
  even
• 11:54
  see
• 11:54
  me.
• 11:54
  I
• 11:54
  was
• 11:55
  just
• 11:55
  like,
• 11:55
  oh,
• 11:56
  my
• 11:56
  gosh.
• 11:57
  Like,
• 11:57
  what
• 11:58
  was
• 11:59
  the
• 12:00
  one
• 12:00
  that
• 12:00
  I
• 12:00
  was
• 12:00
  just.
• 12:01
  Okay,
• 12:01
  that
• 12:01
  was
• 12:01
  just
• 12:02
  ridiculous.
• 12:03
  In
• 12:03
  the
• 12:03
  middle
• 12:04
  of
• 12:04
  the
• 12:04
  whole
• 12:05
  chaos
• 12:05
  on
• 12:06
  the
• 12:06
  bridge
• 12:06
  and
• 12:06
  then
• 12:07
  finding
• 12:07
  their
• 12:07
  powers
• 12:08
  and
• 12:09
  everything,
• 12:10
  they
• 12:10
  say
• 12:11
  the
• 12:11
  fantastic
• 12:12
  line.
• 12:12
  They
• 12:13
  say,
• 12:13
  oh,
• 12:13
  that's
• 12:13
  fantastic.
• 12:14
  I'm
• 12:14
  like,
• 12:15
  that
• 12:15
  was
• 12:15
  the
• 12:15
  most
• 12:16
  cheesiest
• 12:16
  moment
• 12:17
  you
• 12:17
  could
• 12:17
  ever
• 12:18
  choose
• 12:18
  to
• 12:18
  put
• 12:18
  that
• 12:19
  line
• 12:19
  in.
• 12:19
  I
• 12:19
  was
• 12:20
  like,
• 12:20
  what?
• 12:21
  It's
• 12:22
  like
• 12:22
  the
• 12:22
  writers
• 12:22
  room,
• 12:23
  they
• 12:23
  were
• 12:23
  trying
• 12:24
  to
• 12:24
  make
• 12:24
  it
• 12:24
  cringy.
• 12:25
  Like,
• 12:25
  Like,
• 12:26
  I
• 12:26
  don't.
• 12:26
  I
• 12:26
  think
• 12:26
  they
• 12:27
  knew
• 12:27
  they
• 12:27
  weren't
• 12:27
  clever.
• 12:28
  They
• 12:28
  were
• 12:28
  just
• 12:28
  like,
• 12:29
  eh,
• 12:29
  this
• 12:30
  is
• 12:30
  gonna
• 12:30
  be
• 12:30
  that.
• 12:30
  We
• 12:31
  know
• 12:31
  we're
• 12:31
  not
• 12:31
  making
• 12:31
  Spider
• 12:32
  man
• 12:32
  here.
• 12:32
  Let's
• 12:33
  just
• 12:33
  like
• 12:33
  have
• 12:34
  fun
• 12:34
  here.
• 12:34
  I
• 12:34
  don't.
• 12:35
  Two
• 12:36
  things
• 12:36
  about
• 12:36
  this
• 12:37
  film.
• 12:38
  I
• 12:39
  was
• 12:39
  trying
• 12:39
  to
• 12:40
  think
• 12:40
  back
• 12:40
  to
• 12:41
  when
• 12:41
  I
• 12:41
  was.
• 12:43
  When
• 12:43
  I
• 12:43
  was
• 12:44
  watching
• 12:44
  it
• 12:44
  because
• 12:44
  we
• 12:45
  didn't
• 12:45
  really
• 12:45
  have
• 12:46
  the.
• 12:46
  The
• 12:47
  Internet
• 12:47
  like
• 12:48
  it
• 12:48
  was
• 12:48
  today.
• 12:49
  It
• 12:49
  was
• 12:50
  like.
• 12:50
  Yeah.
• 12:50
  You
• 12:50
  had
• 12:50
  to
• 12:50
  actually
• 12:51
  go
• 12:51
  on
• 12:52
  like.
• 12:52
  Like
• 12:52
  I
• 12:53
  remember
• 12:53
  certain
• 12:53
  websites
• 12:54
  I
• 12:54
  would
• 12:54
  go
• 12:54
  to,
• 12:55
  but
• 12:55
  it
• 12:55
  was
• 12:55
  pre
• 12:55
  social
• 12:56
  media.
• 12:56
  It
• 12:57
  was
• 12:57
  like.
• 12:57
  Like
• 12:58
  I
• 12:58
  said,
• 12:58
  my
• 12:58
  only
• 12:59
  social
• 12:59
  media.
• 13:00
  Yeah,
• 13:00
  it
• 13:00
  was.
• 13:00
  Right.
• 13:01
  The
• 13:01
  first
• 13:02
  thing
• 13:02
  I
• 13:02
  saw
• 13:02
  about
• 13:03
  this
• 13:03
  movie
• 13:03
  was
• 13:04
  on
• 13:04
  a
• 13:05
  magazine
• 13:06
  in
• 13:06
  a
• 13:07
  doctor's
• 13:07
  waiting
• 13:07
  room.
• 13:08
  Yeah.
• 13:08
  And
• 13:08
  it
• 13:08
  was
• 13:08
  on
• 13:09
  there
• 13:09
  like,
• 13:09
  you
• 13:09
  know.
• 13:10
  Yeah,
• 13:11
  it
• 13:11
  was.
• 13:11
  Things
• 13:11
  like
• 13:11
  that
• 13:11
  whole
• 13:12
  vibe
• 13:12
  was
• 13:12
  so
• 13:13
  different
• 13:13
  than.
• 13:13
  Yes.
• 13:14
  Then.
• 13:15
  Then
• 13:15
  it
• 13:16
  is
• 13:16
  today
• 13:16
  because
• 13:16
  today
• 13:17
  we
• 13:17
  see
• 13:17
  some
• 13:18
  ads
• 13:18
  on
• 13:18
  Facebook
• 13:19
  or
• 13:19
  we
• 13:20
  see
• 13:20
  people
• 13:20
  commenting
• 13:21
  about
• 13:21
  it.
• 13:22
  But
• 13:22
  back
• 13:22
  then,
• 13:22
  like,
• 13:23
  you
• 13:23
  had
• 13:23
  to
• 13:23
  go
• 13:24
  through
• 13:24
  the
• 13:24
  channels.
• 13:24
  You.
• 13:25
  Yes,
• 13:25
  you
• 13:26
  really
• 13:26
  did
• 13:26
  have
• 13:26
  to
• 13:27
  be
• 13:27
  involved
• 13:28
  in.
• 13:28
  In
• 13:29
  the
• 13:29
  scene
• 13:30
  and.
• 13:30
  Yes.
• 13:31
  How.
• 13:31
  Listening
• 13:32
  to
• 13:32
  podcasts
• 13:33
  back
• 13:33
  then.
• 13:34
  But
• 13:34
  they
• 13:34
  weren't
• 13:35
  the
• 13:35
  same.
• 13:37
  Wasn't
• 13:37
  the
• 13:37
  same.
• 13:37
  Yeah,
• 13:38
  yeah,
• 13:39
  no,
• 13:39
  it
• 13:39
  was
• 13:39
  a
• 13:40
  total.
• 13:40
  Like
• 13:40
  the
• 13:40
  culture
• 13:41
  was
• 13:41
  so
• 13:41
  different.
• 13:42
  Yeah.
• 13:44
  But
• 13:44
  that
• 13:44
  being
• 13:45
  said,
• 13:46
  I
• 13:46
  knew
• 13:47
  that
• 13:47
  this
• 13:47
  movie
• 13:47
  was
• 13:48
  bad
• 13:48
  and
• 13:50
  I
• 13:50
  knew
• 13:50
  that
• 13:50
  this
• 13:50
  movie
• 13:51
  was
• 13:51
  bad
• 13:52
  going
• 13:52
  into
• 13:52
  it.
• 13:53
  So
• 13:54
  I
• 13:55
  thought
• 13:55
  that
• 13:55
  was
• 13:55
  interesting
• 13:57
  from
• 13:57
  that
• 13:57
  point
• 13:57
  of
• 13:58
  view
• 13:58
  because.
• 13:59
  Because
• 13:59
  it's
• 14:00
  so
• 14:00
  different
• 14:00
  now.
• 14:01
  That
• 14:02
  was
• 14:02
  a
• 14:02
  taste
• 14:03
  of
• 14:03
  what
• 14:03
  was
• 14:03
  to
• 14:03
  come,
• 14:03
  basically.
• 14:05
  Oh,
• 14:05
  very
• 14:05
  much
• 14:06
  so.
• 14:06
  Yeah.
• 14:07
  And.
• 14:08
  And
• 14:08
  I
• 14:09
  wonder
• 14:09
  how
• 14:09
  much
• 14:10
  of
• 14:10
  it
• 14:10
  was
• 14:10
  that.
• 14:11
  This
• 14:11
  was
• 14:12
  2005.
• 14:13
  We
• 14:14
  were
• 14:14
  like
• 14:14
  post
• 14:15
  9,
• 14:16
  9
• 14:17
  11.
• 14:18
  And
• 14:19
  that
• 14:19
  whole.
• 14:19
  That
• 14:20
  whole
• 14:20
  cynicism.
• 14:21
  Yes.
• 14:22
  Hadn't
• 14:22
  hit
• 14:22
  yet.
• 14:23
  Or
• 14:23
  maybe
• 14:23
  that
• 14:24
  maybe.
• 14:24
  Yes,
• 14:25
  it
• 14:25
  had.
• 14:26
  I'm
• 14:26
  not
• 14:26
  sure.
• 14:27
  So
• 14:27
  it
• 14:28
  was
• 14:28
  in
• 14:28
  that.
• 14:28
  No,
• 14:29
  it's,
• 14:30
  you
• 14:30
  know,
• 14:30
  it's
• 14:30
  interesting,
• 14:31
  like
• 14:31
  looking
• 14:31
  at
• 14:31
  a
• 14:31
  lot
• 14:32
  of
• 14:32
  like,
• 14:32
  particular
• 14:32
  superhero
• 14:33
  movies.
• 14:33
  Like,
• 14:34
  you
• 14:34
  know,
• 14:34
  I
• 14:34
  think
• 14:35
  it
• 14:35
  was
• 14:35
  still
• 14:35
  a
• 14:36
  stretch
• 14:36
  of
• 14:37
  like.
• 14:38
  Okay.
• 14:39
  Once
• 14:39
  it
• 14:39
  got
• 14:40
  to
• 14:40
  like
• 14:40
  Avengers
• 14:40
  and
• 14:41
  several
• 14:41
  others.
• 14:42
  So
• 14:42
  that
• 14:42
  like,
• 14:42
  you
• 14:42
  know,
• 14:43
  in
• 14:43
  the
• 14:43
  2010s,
• 14:44
  it
• 14:44
  was.
• 14:44
  So
• 14:44
  many
• 14:45
  of
• 14:45
  those
• 14:45
  were
• 14:46
  very
• 14:46
  much
• 14:47
  hammering
• 14:47
  on
• 14:48
  a
• 14:48
  post
• 14:49
  911
• 14:49
  world
• 14:50
  of
• 14:50
  like,
• 14:50
  you
• 14:51
  know,
• 14:51
  buildings
• 14:51
  exploding,
• 14:52
  everyone.
• 14:52
  All
• 14:52
  that.
• 14:53
  This
• 14:53
  one
• 14:53
  has
• 14:54
  like,
• 14:54
  very
• 14:54
  minimal.
• 14:54
  That
• 14:55
  like
• 14:55
  it's
• 14:55
  still.
• 14:55
  Yeah.
• 14:56
  I
• 14:56
  mean,
• 14:56
  obviously
• 14:57
  that's
• 14:57
  four.
• 14:57
  Set
• 14:57
  in
• 14:57
  New
• 14:58
  York.
• 14:59
  It's
• 14:59
  still,
• 14:59
  you
• 14:59
  know,
• 15:00
  like
• 15:00
  a
• 15:00
  lot
• 15:00
  of
• 15:00
  the
• 15:00
  Marvel
• 15:00
  DC
• 15:01
  characters
• 15:01
  are.
• 15:02
  Well,
• 15:02
  not
• 15:02
  dc,
• 15:02
  but
• 15:02
  still.
• 15:03
  DC
• 15:03
  is
• 15:03
  definitely
• 15:04
  inspired
• 15:04
  by
• 15:04
  New
• 15:05
  York,
• 15:05
  but
• 15:05
  Marvel
• 15:06
  very
• 15:06
  much.
• 15:06
  You
• 15:06
  know,
• 15:07
  a
• 15:07
  lot
• 15:07
  of
• 15:07
  their
• 15:07
  characters
• 15:08
  are
• 15:09
  New
• 15:09
  York
• 15:09
  residents.
• 15:10
  And
• 15:10
  so
• 15:11
  this
• 15:11
  has
• 15:11
  like
• 15:12
  an
• 15:12
  element
• 15:12
  of
• 15:12
  that.
• 15:12
  But
• 15:12
  yeah,
• 15:13
  there's
• 15:13
  not
• 15:13
  like
• 15:14
  you
• 15:14
  know,
• 15:14
  buildings
• 15:15
  exploding
• 15:15
  and
• 15:16
  stuff
• 15:16
  like
• 15:16
  that
• 15:17
  and
• 15:17
  major
• 15:17
  crime.
• 15:18
  Like
• 15:18
  the.
• 15:18
  That
• 15:19
  was
• 15:19
  the
• 15:19
  thing
• 15:19
  about
• 15:19
  this
• 15:19
  one
• 15:20
  is
• 15:21
  I
• 15:21
  think
• 15:21
  with
• 15:21
  the
• 15:22
  melodrama
• 15:23
  of
• 15:23
  the
• 15:23
  family
• 15:23
  and
• 15:24
  then
• 15:24
  with
• 15:25
  the
• 15:25
  Doom
• 15:25
  relationship,
• 15:26
  the
• 15:26
  actual
• 15:26
  like
• 15:27
  conflict
• 15:27
  is.
• 15:27
  Is
• 15:27
  pretty
• 15:28
  self
• 15:28
  contained.
• 15:28
  Like
• 15:29
  Doom
• 15:29
  here
• 15:30
  is
• 15:30
  not
• 15:30
  out
• 15:30
  to
• 15:31
  like
• 15:31
  conquer
• 15:31
  the
• 15:31
  world.
• 15:32
  He
• 15:32
  has
• 15:32
  a
• 15:33
  beef
• 15:33
  with
• 15:33
  like
• 15:34
  these
• 15:34
  four
• 15:35
  characters
• 15:35
  and
• 15:36
  so
• 15:36
  the
• 15:36
  conflict,
• 15:37
  the
• 15:37
  battle
• 15:37
  at
• 15:37
  the
• 15:37
  end
• 15:38
  is
• 15:38
  pretty
• 15:38
  contained.
• 15:39
  Obviously
• 15:40
  he's
• 15:40
  set
• 15:40
  up
• 15:41
  as
• 15:41
  he's
• 15:41
  going
• 15:41
  to
• 15:42
  become
• 15:42
  a
• 15:42
  bigger
• 15:42
  badder
• 15:43
  villain,
• 15:43
  but
• 15:44
  here
• 15:44
  he's
• 15:44
  just
• 15:45
  kind
• 15:45
  of
• 15:45
  like.
• 15:45
  Yeah,
• 15:46
  like
• 15:46
  you
• 15:46
  said
• 15:46
  earlier,
• 15:47
  it's
• 15:47
  very
• 15:47
  one
• 15:48
  note
• 15:48
  melodrama
• 15:49
  and
• 15:50
  one
• 15:50
  note
• 15:50
  vengeance.
• 15:51
  And
• 15:51
  like
• 15:52
  the
• 15:52
  romance
• 15:52
  is
• 15:53
  really
• 15:53
  cheap.
• 15:53
  All
• 15:53
  of
• 15:53
  those
• 15:54
  elements
• 15:54
  are
• 15:54
  really
• 15:54
  watered
• 15:55
  down.
• 15:55
  And
• 15:55
  so
• 15:56
  the
• 15:56
  final
• 15:57
  fight
• 15:57
  really
• 15:57
  isn't
• 15:58
  that,
• 15:58
  you
• 15:58
  know,
• 15:59
  amazing
• 15:59
  or
• 15:59
  climactic.
• 16:00
  It's
• 16:00
  just
• 16:00
  kind
• 16:00
  of
• 16:01
  like,
• 16:02
  okay,
• 16:02
  they
• 16:02
  like
• 16:03
  he's
• 16:03
  trying
• 16:03
  to
• 16:03
  take
• 16:03
  them
• 16:04
  out
• 16:04
  one
• 16:04
  by
• 16:04
  one
• 16:04
  and
• 16:04
  then
• 16:04
  they
• 16:04
  team
• 16:05
  up
• 16:05
  at
• 16:05
  the
• 16:05
  end
• 16:05
  after
• 16:06
  bickering
• 16:06
  for
• 16:07
  a
• 16:07
  while.
• 16:07
  And
• 16:08
  so,
• 16:08
  you
• 16:08
  know,
• 16:08
  it's
• 16:09
  a.
• 16:10
  But
• 16:10
  yeah
• 16:10
  there.
• 16:11
  I
• 16:11
  mean
• 16:11
  I
• 16:11
  think
• 16:11
  the
• 16:12
  post
• 16:12
  911
• 16:13
  cynicism
• 16:15
  in
• 16:15
  superhero
• 16:16
  movies
• 16:16
  came
• 16:16
  a
• 16:16
  little
• 16:16
  bit
• 16:17
  later.
• 16:18
  But
• 16:18
  yeah,
• 16:20
  and
• 16:20
  that
• 16:20
  kind
• 16:20
  of
• 16:20
  affected
• 16:21
  I
• 16:21
  think
• 16:21
  the,
• 16:22
  the
• 16:22
  perception
• 16:23
  of
• 16:23
  this
• 16:23
  film
• 16:23
  because
• 16:24
  it's
• 16:24
  very
• 16:24
  much
• 16:25
  of
• 16:25
  its
• 16:25
  time
• 16:26
  and
• 16:26
  when
• 16:26
  I
• 16:26
  think
• 16:26
  of
• 16:27
  other
• 16:27
  MOV
• 16:27
  movies
• 16:28
  that
• 16:28
  did
• 16:28
  great,
• 16:29
  they're
• 16:29
  not
• 16:29
  that
• 16:29
  much
• 16:30
  different
• 16:30
  than
• 16:30
  this.
• 16:31
  Right,
• 16:31
  right.
• 16:31
  But
• 16:32
  we
• 16:32
  were,
• 16:32
  but
• 16:33
  we
• 16:33
  were
• 16:33
  like
• 16:34
  kind
• 16:34
  of
• 16:34
  expecting
• 16:34
  something
• 16:35
  else
• 16:35
  back
• 16:35
  then,
• 16:36
  so.
• 16:36
  No,
• 16:37
  for
• 16:37
  sure,
• 16:37
  for
• 16:37
  sure.
• 16:38
  Well,
• 16:38
  and
• 16:39
  I
• 16:39
  don't
• 16:39
  want
• 16:39
  to
• 16:39
  entirely
• 16:41
  just
• 16:41
  like
• 16:41
  dog
• 16:42
  on
• 16:42
  this
• 16:42
  movie
• 16:42
  because
• 16:43
  like
• 16:43
  it
• 16:43
  is
• 16:43
  like,
• 16:44
  I
• 16:44
  mean
• 16:44
  it's
• 16:44
  easy
• 16:45
  to.
• 16:45
  And
• 16:45
  you
• 16:45
  know,
• 16:45
  like
• 16:45
  I
• 16:46
  said,
• 16:46
  it's
• 16:46
  a
• 16:46
  low
• 16:46
  rotten
• 16:46
  tomato
• 16:47
  score.
• 16:47
  I
• 16:47
  can't
• 16:47
  say
• 16:47
  it
• 16:48
  doesn't
• 16:48
  deserve
• 16:48
  that.
• 16:49
  One
• 16:49
  thing
• 16:49
  I
• 16:49
  will
• 16:49
  give
• 16:49
  it
• 16:50
  credit
• 16:50
  for
• 16:50
  is
• 16:50
  a
• 16:51
  casting
• 16:51
  as
• 16:51
  a
• 16:52
  whole.
• 16:52
  I
• 16:52
  think
• 16:52
  it's
• 16:52
  pretty
• 16:52
  solid.
• 16:53
  But
• 16:53
  in
• 16:53
  particular
• 16:54
  I
• 16:54
  love
• 16:55
  Michael
• 16:55
  Chiklis
• 16:56
  as
• 16:56
  Ben
• 16:56
  Grimm
• 16:56
  in
• 16:57
  the
• 16:57
  Thing.
• 16:57
  I
• 16:58
  think
• 16:58
  this
• 16:58
  was
• 16:58
  one
• 16:58
  of
• 16:58
  the
• 16:58
  best.
• 16:58
  I
• 16:59
  mean
• 16:59
  I'm
• 16:59
  very
• 16:59
  excited
• 17:00
  for
• 17:01
  Ebon
• 17:01
  Moss
• 17:03
  was
• 17:03
  his
• 17:04
  last
• 17:04
  day.
• 17:04
  Like
• 17:04
  I'm
• 17:05
  trying
• 17:05
  to
• 17:05
  play
• 17:05
  but
• 17:05
  the
• 17:05
  guy
• 17:05
  from
• 17:05
  the
• 17:06
  bear.
• 17:06
  That
• 17:06
  guy,
• 17:07
  yes,
• 17:08
  like
• 17:08
  in
• 17:08
  the
• 17:08
  MCU
• 17:09
  version.
• 17:09
  But
• 17:10
  I
• 17:10
  really
• 17:10
  like
• 17:11
  chickless
• 17:11
  performance
• 17:12
  here.
• 17:13
  You
• 17:13
  know,
• 17:13
  he
• 17:13
  was
• 17:13
  a
• 17:13
  veteran
• 17:14
  from
• 17:14
  the
• 17:14
  Shield
• 17:14
  and
• 17:15
  some
• 17:15
  other
• 17:15
  shows
• 17:15
  like
• 17:16
  that
• 17:16
  back
• 17:16
  then.
• 17:16
  And
• 17:17
  I
• 17:17
  think
• 17:17
  he
• 17:17
  does
• 17:17
  a
• 17:17
  great
• 17:17
  job
• 17:18
  as
• 17:18
  Ben.
• 17:18
  And
• 17:18
  I
• 17:19
  distinctly
• 17:19
  remember
• 17:19
  actually
• 17:20
  when
• 17:20
  this
• 17:20
  movie
• 17:20
  came
• 17:21
  out,
• 17:21
  seeing
• 17:21
  interviews
• 17:22
  and
• 17:22
  stuff,
• 17:22
  he
• 17:23
  was
• 17:23
  a
• 17:23
  long
• 17:23
  time
• 17:24
  fan
• 17:24
  of
• 17:24
  the
• 17:24
  character
• 17:25
  well
• 17:25
  before
• 17:25
  the
• 17:25
  movie
• 17:26
  was
• 17:26
  announced.
• 17:27
  So
• 17:27
  he,
• 17:27
  when
• 17:27
  he
• 17:28
  first
• 17:28
  was
• 17:28
  talking
• 17:28
  with
• 17:29
  like
• 17:29
  Marvel
• 17:30
  and
• 17:30
  with
• 17:30
  Fox,
• 17:30
  he
• 17:31
  was
• 17:31
  like
• 17:31
  two
• 17:32
  words.
• 17:32
  Ben
• 17:32
  Grimm.
• 17:32
  That's
• 17:33
  like
• 17:33
  so
• 17:33
  he
• 17:34
  was
• 17:34
  dead
• 17:34
  set
• 17:34
  on
• 17:34
  the
• 17:35
  character,
• 17:35
  and
• 17:35
  I
• 17:36
  think
• 17:36
  he
• 17:36
  really
• 17:36
  commits
• 17:37
  to
• 17:37
  the
• 17:37
  performance.
• 17:38
  And
• 17:38
  what
• 17:38
  I
• 17:38
  like
• 17:38
  too
• 17:39
  is
• 17:39
  for
• 17:39
  all
• 17:40
  the
• 17:40
  outdated
• 17:40
  effects
• 17:41
  here.
• 17:41
  And
• 17:41
  even
• 17:42
  at
• 17:42
  the
• 17:42
  time,
• 17:42
  they
• 17:42
  were
• 17:43
  pretty
• 17:43
  bad.
• 17:44
  Not
• 17:44
  just
• 17:44
  like,
• 17:44
  you
• 17:44
  know,
• 17:45
  oh,
• 17:45
  they
• 17:45
  like,
• 17:45
  a
• 17:46
  lot
• 17:46
  of
• 17:46
  the
• 17:46
  fights
• 17:46
  are,
• 17:46
  you
• 17:46
  know,
• 17:47
  pretty
• 17:47
  terrible.
• 17:47
  But
• 17:48
  I.
• 17:48
  The
• 17:49
  question
• 17:49
  I
• 17:49
  asked
• 17:49
  at
• 17:49
  the
• 17:49
  beginning
• 17:50
  of
• 17:50
  the
• 17:50
  episode
• 17:50
  of
• 17:50
  like,
• 17:50
  should
• 17:51
  the
• 17:51
  thing
• 17:51
  be
• 17:51
  CG
• 17:52
  or
• 17:52
  practical?
• 17:52
  You
• 17:53
  know,
• 17:53
  they
• 17:53
  do
• 17:53
  practical,
• 17:54
  you
• 17:54
  know,
• 17:54
  bodysuit
• 17:55
  here,
• 17:55
  and
• 17:55
  I
• 17:55
  think
• 17:56
  it
• 17:56
  works
• 17:56
  actually
• 17:56
  really
• 17:56
  well.
• 17:58
  Yeah.
• 18:00
  And
• 18:00
  the
• 18:00
  fact
• 18:00
  that
• 18:01
  it
• 18:02
  shows
• 18:02
  expression,
• 18:03
  which.
• 18:05
  Which
• 18:05
  is.
• 18:06
  Shows
• 18:06
  a
• 18:06
  testament
• 18:07
  to
• 18:07
  the
• 18:07
  craft
• 18:08
  that
• 18:08
  they
• 18:08
  put
• 18:08
  behind
• 18:09
  it.
• 18:09
  Yeah,
• 18:10
  very
• 18:11
  much
• 18:11
  so.
• 18:11
  So
• 18:11
  I
• 18:12
  do
• 18:12
  appreciate
• 18:12
  that.
• 18:13
  I
• 18:13
  like
• 18:13
  the
• 18:14
  feel.
• 18:14
  And.
• 18:14
  And
• 18:14
  the
• 18:14
  other
• 18:15
  casting
• 18:15
  is
• 18:15
  pretty
• 18:15
  solid
• 18:16
  too.
• 18:17
  I
• 18:17
  always.
• 18:17
  I
• 18:18
  always
• 18:18
  butcher
• 18:18
  his
• 18:18
  last
• 18:18
  name.
• 18:19
  But
• 18:19
  the
• 18:19
  guy
• 18:19
  who
• 18:19
  plays
• 18:19
  Reed
• 18:20
  Ian
• 18:21
  Refold.
• 18:23
  I'm
• 18:23
  not
• 18:23
  even
• 18:23
  gonna
• 18:23
  try
• 18:23
  to
• 18:24
  pronounce
• 18:24
  it,
• 18:24
  but
• 18:24
  like,
• 18:25
  but
• 18:25
  he's
• 18:25
  solid
• 18:25
  as
• 18:26
  Reed
• 18:27
  Jessica,
• 18:28
  solid
• 18:28
  as
• 18:28
  Sue.
• 18:29
  Yeah.
• 18:29
  And
• 18:30
  then
• 18:30
  you
• 18:30
  have,
• 18:30
  of
• 18:30
  course,
• 18:30
  a
• 18:30
  pre
• 18:31
  Captain
• 18:31
  America,
• 18:31
  Chris
• 18:32
  Evans
• 18:32
  as
• 18:32
  Johnny.
• 18:33
  And
• 18:33
  I
• 18:33
  think
• 18:33
  all
• 18:34
  four
• 18:34
  of
• 18:34
  them
• 18:34
  really
• 18:34
  are
• 18:35
  cast.
• 18:35
  Well,
• 18:35
  they
• 18:36
  get
• 18:36
  pretty
• 18:37
  terrible
• 18:37
  dialogue
• 18:38
  to
• 18:38
  work
• 18:38
  with
• 18:38
  and
• 18:39
  that's
• 18:39
  not
• 18:39
  really
• 18:39
  their
• 18:40
  fault.
• 18:40
  But
• 18:40
  as
• 18:40
  far
• 18:41
  as,
• 18:41
  like,
• 18:41
  you
• 18:42
  know,
• 18:42
  the
• 18:42
  chemistry
• 18:43
  between
• 18:43
  them,
• 18:44
  like,
• 18:44
  I
• 18:44
  like,
• 18:45
  you
• 18:45
  know,
• 18:45
  Ben
• 18:46
  and
• 18:46
  Johnny
• 18:46
  butting
• 18:46
  heads
• 18:47
  a
• 18:47
  lot.
• 18:48
  I
• 18:48
  get
• 18:48
  the
• 18:49
  romance,
• 18:49
  like
• 18:49
  between
• 18:50
  Read
• 18:50
  and
• 18:50
  Sue,
• 18:51
  you
• 18:51
  know,
• 18:51
  it's.
• 18:52
  I
• 18:52
  mean,
• 18:52
  again,
• 18:52
  it
• 18:53
  suffers
• 18:53
  from
• 18:53
  bad
• 18:53
  writing,
• 18:54
  but
• 18:54
  not
• 18:55
  necessarily
• 18:55
  from
• 18:56
  terrible
• 18:56
  performances.
• 18:57
  I
• 18:57
  think
• 18:58
  they're
• 18:58
  pretty
• 18:58
  all
• 18:58
  well
• 18:58
  cast.
• 18:59
  And
• 19:00
  same
• 19:00
  with
• 19:00
  Doom.
• 19:01
  I
• 19:01
  mean,
• 19:01
  he's
• 19:01
  made
• 19:01
  to
• 19:02
  like,
• 19:02
  from
• 19:03
  being
• 19:03
  for
• 19:03
  one
• 19:03
  of
• 19:03
  the
• 19:03
  greatest
• 19:04
  villains
• 19:04
  in
• 19:04
  the
• 19:04
  comics
• 19:05
  to
• 19:05
  such
• 19:05
  a
• 19:06
  one
• 19:06
  note
• 19:06
  villain
• 19:06
  is
• 19:06
  disappointing.
• 19:08
  But,
• 19:08
  you
• 19:08
  know,
• 19:08
  the
• 19:09
  guy
• 19:09
  who
• 19:09
  played
• 19:09
  him
• 19:09
  wasn't
• 19:10
  terrible
• 19:10
  either.
• 19:11
  So
• 19:11
  that's
• 19:11
  the
• 19:11
  best
• 19:11
  I
• 19:11
  can
• 19:12
  say
• 19:12
  about
• 19:12
  that.
• 19:13
  Now
• 19:13
  getting
• 19:13
  back
• 19:14
  to
• 19:14
  a
• 19:14
  negative
• 19:15
  thing
• 19:15
  about
• 19:15
  the
• 19:15
  thing.
• 19:16
  Oh,
• 19:16
  my
• 19:16
  gosh.
• 19:16
  Okay,
• 19:17
  so
• 19:17
  this
• 19:17
  is
• 19:17
  such
• 19:18
  another
• 19:18
  like,
• 19:19
  just
• 19:19
  like,
• 19:19
  you
• 19:20
  know,
• 19:21
  2000s
• 19:21
  trope.
• 19:22
  And
• 19:22
  the
• 19:22
  way
• 19:22
  they
• 19:22
  handled
• 19:23
  like
• 19:23
  the
• 19:23
  character.
• 19:24
  Okay,
• 19:24
  so
• 19:25
  when
• 19:25
  he
• 19:25
  transforms
• 19:26
  into
• 19:26
  the
• 19:26
  Thing,
• 19:27
  that
• 19:27
  scene
• 19:28
  with
• 19:28
  his
• 19:28
  wife
• 19:29
  and.
• 19:30
  And
• 19:30
  you
• 19:30
  know,
• 19:31
  he's
• 19:31
  just
• 19:31
  like
• 19:32
  in
• 19:32
  the
• 19:32
  middle
• 19:32
  of
• 19:32
  the
• 19:33
  street
• 19:33
  and
• 19:33
  she
• 19:33
  comes
• 19:33
  out
• 19:34
  in
• 19:34
  her
• 19:34
  nightgown.
• 19:34
  All
• 19:34
  that.
• 19:34
  Yeah.
• 19:35
  And
• 19:35
  she
• 19:35
  is
• 19:35
  just
• 19:35
  horrified
• 19:36
  by
• 19:36
  him.
• 19:36
  And
• 19:37
  all
• 19:37
  of
• 19:37
  a
• 19:37
  sudden,
• 19:37
  get
• 19:37
  away
• 19:37
  from
• 19:37
  me.
• 19:38
  Get
• 19:38
  away
• 19:38
  from
• 19:38
  me.
• 19:38
  And
• 19:39
  like,
• 19:39
  okay,
• 19:40
  I
• 19:40
  get
• 19:41
  the
• 19:41
  initial
• 19:41
  shock,
• 19:42
  but
• 19:42
  man,
• 19:43
  does
• 19:43
  he
• 19:43
  suck.
• 19:44
  Like,
• 19:44
  like
• 19:44
  he's
• 19:45
  still
• 19:45
  the
• 19:45
  same
• 19:45
  person.
• 19:46
  And
• 19:46
  it's
• 19:47
  like
• 19:48
  she
• 19:48
  just
• 19:48
  like,
• 19:49
  look.
• 19:49
  And
• 19:49
  when
• 19:50
  she
• 19:50
  does,
• 19:50
  like,
• 19:50
  drop
• 19:51
  the
• 19:51
  ring
• 19:51
  in
• 19:51
  front
• 19:51
  of
• 19:52
  him
• 19:52
  at
• 19:52
  on
• 19:53
  in
• 19:53
  the
• 19:53
  bridge
• 19:54
  scene,
• 19:54
  I
• 19:54
  was
• 19:54
  like,
• 19:55
  it
• 19:55
  look
• 19:56
  like
• 19:56
  you
• 19:57
  act
• 19:57
  like
• 19:57
  he
• 19:58
  committed
• 19:58
  murder
• 19:58
  or
• 19:59
  something.
• 19:59
  You
• 19:59
  know,
• 19:59
  like
• 20:00
  when
• 20:00
  he
• 20:01
  was
• 20:01
  the
• 20:01
  literally
• 20:01
  one
• 20:02
  risking
• 20:02
  his
• 20:03
  Life
• 20:03
  to
• 20:03
  save
• 20:03
  the
• 20:03
  crew.
• 20:04
  And
• 20:04
  he
• 20:05
  was
• 20:05
  the
• 20:05
  first
• 20:05
  to
• 20:05
  be
• 20:05
  exposed
• 20:06
  to
• 20:06
  the
• 20:06
  radiation
• 20:06
  and
• 20:07
  becomes
• 20:07
  a
• 20:07
  thing.
• 20:07
  And
• 20:08
  I
• 20:08
  was
• 20:08
  like,
• 20:08
  okay,
• 20:09
  you
• 20:09
  suck.
• 20:09
  And
• 20:10
  so,
• 20:10
  Ben,
• 20:10
  I
• 20:10
  know
• 20:10
  you
• 20:11
  were
• 20:11
  in
• 20:11
  love
• 20:11
  with
• 20:11
  her,
• 20:11
  but,
• 20:11
  like,
• 20:12
  yeah,
• 20:12
  she
• 20:12
  must
• 20:13
  have
• 20:13
  always
• 20:13
  been
• 20:13
  horrible.
• 20:13
  So.
• 20:14
  But
• 20:14
  anyway,
• 20:14
  she's
• 20:14
  written
• 20:16
  to
• 20:16
  pick
• 20:16
  up
• 20:17
  the
• 20:17
  ring.
• 20:17
  Oh,
• 20:18
  my
• 20:18
  gosh.
• 20:18
  Like,
• 20:19
  it's
• 20:19
  just
• 20:20
  like,
• 20:20
  let's
• 20:20
  hammer
• 20:21
  in
• 20:21
  on
• 20:21
  this.
• 20:22
  Like,
• 20:22
  you
• 20:22
  know,
• 20:23
  the,
• 20:23
  oh,
• 20:24
  he's
• 20:24
  the
• 20:25
  hunchback
• 20:26
  figure
• 20:26
  and,
• 20:26
  like,
• 20:26
  so
• 20:27
  grotesque,
• 20:27
  blah,
• 20:27
  blah.
• 20:28
  But
• 20:28
  then
• 20:28
  later
• 20:28
  on
• 20:29
  in
• 20:29
  the
• 20:29
  movie,
• 20:30
  he
• 20:30
  meets
• 20:31
  a
• 20:31
  new
• 20:31
  woman
• 20:32
  who
• 20:32
  is
• 20:33
  blind,
• 20:33
  in
• 20:33
  which
• 20:34
  I'm
• 20:34
  like,
• 20:34
  okay,
• 20:35
  I
• 20:36
  get
• 20:36
  the.
• 20:37
  But
• 20:37
  it's
• 20:37
  also
• 20:37
  like,
• 20:38
  okay.
• 20:38
  It's
• 20:38
  kind
• 20:39
  of
• 20:39
  forced
• 20:39
  to
• 20:39
  of
• 20:40
  like,
• 20:40
  okay.
• 20:40
  Of
• 20:40
  course
• 20:41
  he
• 20:42
  has
• 20:42
  to
• 20:42
  have
• 20:42
  someone
• 20:43
  who,
• 20:44
  like,
• 20:45
  they
• 20:45
  can't
• 20:45
  see.
• 20:46
  Like,
• 20:46
  I
• 20:46
  mean,
• 20:46
  like,
• 20:47
  I
• 20:47
  like
• 20:47
  the
• 20:47
  idea
• 20:48
  of
• 20:48
  being
• 20:49
  okay,
• 20:49
  someone
• 20:50
  even
• 20:50
  someone
• 20:50
  like,
• 20:50
  disabled
• 20:51
  or
• 20:51
  someone
• 20:51
  like,
• 20:52
  from
• 20:52
  a
• 20:52
  marginalized
• 20:53
  community
• 20:53
  who,
• 20:53
  like,
• 20:54
  is
• 20:54
  more
• 20:55
  receptive
• 20:56
  to
• 20:56
  someone
• 20:56
  who
• 20:57
  has
• 20:57
  also
• 20:57
  been,
• 20:58
  you
• 20:58
  know,
• 20:59
  pushed
• 20:59
  out
• 20:59
  of
• 20:59
  society
• 21:00
  and
• 21:01
  cast
• 21:01
  aside.
• 21:02
  And,
• 21:02
  like,
• 21:02
  I
• 21:02
  like
• 21:03
  that.
• 21:03
  But,
• 21:03
  man,
• 21:04
  did
• 21:04
  they
• 21:04
  have
• 21:04
  to,
• 21:04
  like,
• 21:05
  pick
• 21:05
  a
• 21:05
  blind
• 21:06
  woman
• 21:06
  who
• 21:06
  is
• 21:07
  like,
• 21:07
  well,
• 21:08
  I
• 21:08
  can't
• 21:08
  see
• 21:08
  you,
• 21:08
  so
• 21:09
  I
• 21:09
  don't
• 21:09
  know
• 21:09
  if
• 21:09
  you're
• 21:09
  ugly.
• 21:10
  I
• 21:10
  don't
• 21:10
  have
• 21:10
  the
• 21:10
  same
• 21:10
  problem.
• 21:12
  It's
• 21:12
  like,
• 21:12
  what
• 21:13
  I
• 21:13
  was
• 21:13
  just
• 21:14
  like,
• 21:14
  good
• 21:14
  gosh,
• 21:15
  this
• 21:15
  writing
• 21:15
  is
• 21:16
  so
• 21:16
  bad.
• 21:16
  But
• 21:17
  yeah,
• 21:17
  like,
• 21:18
  it
• 21:18
  was
• 21:18
  so,
• 21:19
  yeah,
• 21:19
  there's.
• 21:20
  Oh,
• 21:20
  we
• 21:20
  could
• 21:20
  pick
• 21:20
  apart
• 21:21
  it
• 21:21
  endlessly.
• 21:22
  But
• 21:23
  again,
• 21:23
  there
• 21:23
  are
• 21:23
  some
• 21:23
  fun
• 21:24
  highlights
• 21:24
  too.
• 21:24
  It
• 21:25
  was,
• 21:25
  I
• 21:25
  mean,
• 21:26
  I
• 21:26
  think,
• 21:26
  for
• 21:27
  a
• 21:27
  Fantastic
• 21:28
  Four
• 21:28
  movie
• 21:28
  of
• 21:29
  its
• 21:29
  era.
• 21:29
  Yeah.
• 21:30
  And
• 21:30
  like
• 21:30
  you
• 21:30
  said,
• 21:30
  definitely
• 21:31
  right
• 21:31
  off
• 21:32
  the
• 21:32
  bat,
• 21:32
  trying
• 21:32
  to
• 21:32
  mimic
• 21:33
  Spider
• 21:33
  man
• 21:33
  at
• 21:34
  the
• 21:34
  time,
• 21:34
  only
• 21:34
  not
• 21:35
  anywhere
• 21:35
  near
• 21:35
  as
• 21:35
  good,
• 21:36
  but
• 21:37
  particularly
• 21:37
  with
• 21:37
  like
• 21:38
  the
• 21:38
  2000s
• 21:38
  melodrama
• 21:39
  with
• 21:39
  that
• 21:40
  intro
• 21:40
  music
• 21:40
  and
• 21:40
  the
• 21:41
  theme
• 21:41
  and
• 21:41
  the
• 21:41
  way
• 21:42
  the
• 21:42
  titles
• 21:42
  appear,
• 21:43
  all
• 21:43
  of
• 21:43
  those
• 21:44
  elements
• 21:44
  are
• 21:44
  there.
• 21:45
  And,
• 21:46
  and
• 21:46
  like
• 21:46
  I
• 21:46
  said,
• 21:46
  it
• 21:47
  gets
• 21:47
  across
• 21:47
  the
• 21:48
  Marvel
• 21:48
  family
• 21:49
  melodrama
• 21:50
  aspects
• 21:51
  that
• 21:51
  is
• 21:51
  central
• 21:52
  to
• 21:52
  the
• 21:52
  comic.
• 21:53
  But
• 21:53
  it's
• 21:54
  just,
• 21:54
  you
• 21:54
  know,
• 21:54
  it
• 21:55
  could
• 21:55
  be
• 21:55
  so
• 21:56
  much
• 21:56
  handled
• 21:57
  so
• 21:57
  much
• 21:57
  better.
• 21:58
  And,
• 21:58
  and
• 21:59
  like
• 21:59
  you
• 21:59
  said,
• 21:59
  too,
• 22:00
  Johnny
• 22:00
  is
• 22:00
  so
• 22:00
  one
• 22:01
  note
• 22:01
  into
• 22:01
  such
• 22:01
  a,
• 22:02
  like,
• 22:02
  you
• 22:02
  know,
• 22:02
  playboy
• 22:03
  of
• 22:03
  that
• 22:04
  era.
• 22:04
  And
• 22:04
  it's
• 22:05
  just
• 22:05
  like,
• 22:05
  you
• 22:05
  know,
• 22:05
  Chris
• 22:06
  Evans,
• 22:06
  I,
• 22:06
  I,
• 22:07
  it
• 22:07
  looks
• 22:07
  like
• 22:07
  he
• 22:07
  had
• 22:07
  fun
• 22:08
  doing
• 22:08
  the
• 22:08
  play,
• 22:08
  the
• 22:08
  role,
• 22:09
  and
• 22:09
  he
• 22:09
  was
• 22:09
  cast
• 22:09
  well
• 22:09
  enough,
• 22:10
  but
• 22:11
  it's
• 22:11
  just
• 22:11
  like,
• 22:12
  oh,
• 22:12
  man,
• 22:12
  he's
• 22:13
  gotta
• 22:13
  have
• 22:13
  a
• 22:14
  different
• 22:14
  girl
• 22:14
  in
• 22:15
  every
• 22:15
  scene.
• 22:15
  He's
• 22:16
  got
• 22:16
  to
• 22:16
  be
• 22:16
  like,
• 22:17
  you
• 22:17
  know,
• 22:17
  man,
• 22:17
  this
• 22:18
  is
• 22:18
  awesome.
• 22:18
  Why
• 22:18
  are
• 22:18
  you
• 22:18
  guys
• 22:19
  trying
• 22:19
  to
• 22:19
  hide
• 22:19
  your
• 22:19
  powers?
• 22:20
  Blah,
• 22:20
  blah,
• 22:20
  blah.
• 22:20
  And
• 22:21
  like,
• 22:21
  I'm
• 22:21
  up,
• 22:21
  you
• 22:21
  know.
• 22:22
  And
• 22:22
  I
• 22:22
  mean,
• 22:22
  the
• 22:23
  funniest
• 22:23
  one,
• 22:24
  too,
• 22:24
  when
• 22:24
  he
• 22:25
  first
• 22:25
  flames
• 22:25
  on,
• 22:26
  he
• 22:26
  starts
• 22:26
  getting
• 22:26
  his
• 22:27
  powers.
• 22:27
  The
• 22:27
  Woman
• 22:28
  he's
• 22:28
  with
• 22:28
  doesn't
• 22:28
  even
• 22:29
  freak
• 22:29
  out
• 22:29
  at
• 22:29
  all.
• 22:30
  Like,
• 22:30
  she's
• 22:30
  a
• 22:30
  nurse
• 22:31
  and
• 22:31
  she's
• 22:31
  not
• 22:31
  at
• 22:32
  all
• 22:32
  alarmed
• 22:33
  that
• 22:33
  she
• 22:33
  just
• 22:33
  saw
• 22:34
  this
• 22:34
  guy
• 22:35
  literally
• 22:35
  on
• 22:36
  fire
• 22:36
  and
• 22:37
  fly
• 22:38
  off
• 22:38
  a
• 22:38
  mountain
• 22:39
  while
• 22:39
  they're
• 22:39
  skiing.
• 22:40
  I'm
• 22:40
  like,
• 22:41
  does
• 22:41
  that
• 22:41
  not
• 22:42
  unsettle
• 22:42
  you
• 22:43
  at
• 22:43
  all?
• 22:44
  So
• 22:44
  it's
• 22:44
  all
• 22:44
  those
• 22:45
  elements
• 22:45
  that
• 22:45
  are
• 22:45
  just
• 22:46
  so
• 22:46
  cringy.
• 22:48
  So
• 22:48
  this
• 22:48
  was,
• 22:49
  you
• 22:49
  know,
• 22:49
  it
• 22:49
  was
• 22:49
  a
• 22:49
  very
• 22:50
  fun
• 22:50
  one
• 22:50
  to
• 22:50
  revisit
• 22:51
  and
• 22:51
  it
• 22:52
  makes
• 22:52
  me
• 22:52
  really
• 22:52
  excited
• 22:53
  for
• 22:54
  the
• 22:54
  MCU
• 22:54
  version.
• 22:56
  But.
• 22:57
  Yeah,
• 22:57
  but
• 22:57
  I
• 22:57
  cannot
• 22:58
  say
• 22:59
  this
• 22:59
  is.
• 22:59
  I
• 23:00
  don't
• 23:00
  know
• 23:00
  if
• 23:00
  this
• 23:00
  is
• 23:01
  at
• 23:01
  all
• 23:03
  good
• 23:04
  in
• 23:04
  any.
• 23:04
  By
• 23:05
  any
• 23:05
  means.
• 23:06
  Yeah,
• 23:07
  it's.
• 23:07
  I
• 23:07
  don't
• 23:07
  know.
• 23:08
  It's
• 23:08
  a.
• 23:08
  It's.
• 23:09
  Is
• 23:09
  there
• 23:09
  anything.
• 23:10
  Any
• 23:10
  other
• 23:10
  moments
• 23:10
  that
• 23:11
  stuck
• 23:11
  out
• 23:11
  to
• 23:11
  you?
• 23:13
  There
• 23:13
  was
• 23:13
  a
• 23:13
  couple
• 23:14
  little
• 23:14
  kind
• 23:14
  of
• 23:15
  like,
• 23:15
  little
• 23:15
  side
• 23:16
  comment,
• 23:16
  like
• 23:17
  things
• 23:17
  that
• 23:18
  picked
• 23:18
  up
• 23:18
  on.
• 23:18
  Because
• 23:19
  I
• 23:19
  was
• 23:19
  kind
• 23:19
  of,
• 23:20
  kind
• 23:21
  of
• 23:22
  hate
• 23:22
  watching
• 23:22
  almost.
• 23:23
  But
• 23:26
  yeah,
• 23:26
  was
• 23:27
  with
• 23:28
  the
• 23:28
  thing,
• 23:29
  there
• 23:29
  was
• 23:29
  always
• 23:30
  like
• 23:30
  the
• 23:31
  sound.
• 23:32
  The
• 23:32
  sound
• 23:32
  design
• 23:33
  that
• 23:33
  they
• 23:33
  gave
• 23:33
  him
• 23:34
  was
• 23:34
  very
• 23:35
  gravelly
• 23:36
  and
• 23:37
  like
• 23:39
  his
• 23:39
  motions,
• 23:39
  like
• 23:40
  everything
• 23:41
  sounded
• 23:41
  like
• 23:41
  it
• 23:42
  was
• 23:43
  flip
• 23:43
  flops
• 23:43
  in
• 23:43
  the
• 23:44
  sand
• 23:45
  at
• 23:45
  the
• 23:45
  beach.
• 23:46
  And
• 23:46
  it
• 23:47
  just
• 23:47
  sounded
• 23:47
  silly
• 23:48
  to
• 23:48
  me.
• 23:48
  I
• 23:48
  was
• 23:48
  just
• 23:48
  like,
• 23:49
  what
• 23:49
  is
• 23:49
  that
• 23:49
  sound?
• 23:50
  Why
• 23:50
  making
• 23:50
  that
• 23:51
  sound.
• 23:51
  Choose
• 23:52
  something
• 23:52
  else.
• 23:53
  And
• 23:55
  the
• 23:56
  selection
• 23:57
  of
• 23:57
  when
• 23:58
  they
• 23:58
  use
• 23:58
  the
• 23:58
  sound
• 23:59
  and
• 23:59
  when
• 23:59
  they
• 23:59
  don't,
• 24:00
  it
• 24:00
  was
• 24:00
  very
• 24:01
  weird.
• 24:02
  So
• 24:03
  I
• 24:04
  am
• 24:04
  curious
• 24:04
  to
• 24:04
  see
• 24:05
  how
• 24:05
  they
• 24:05
  do
• 24:05
  it
• 24:05
  in
• 24:06
  the
• 24:06
  new
• 24:06
  film.
• 24:07
  Yeah.
• 24:08
  See
• 24:08
  where
• 24:09
  they
• 24:09
  select
• 24:10
  the
• 24:10
  sound
• 24:11
  and.
• 24:13
  Stuff
• 24:13
  like
• 24:13
  that
• 24:14
  back
• 24:14
  to
• 24:14
  the
• 24:14
  bridge
• 24:15
  scene.
• 24:15
  I
• 24:15
  was
• 24:15
  just
• 24:16
  like,
• 24:16
  okay.
• 24:16
  The
• 24:16
  way
• 24:16
  they
• 24:17
  started
• 24:17
  off,
• 24:17
  they
• 24:18
  make
• 24:18
  light
• 24:18
  of
• 24:19
  a
• 24:19
  guy
• 24:19
  about
• 24:20
  to
• 24:20
  commit
• 24:20
  suicide
• 24:21
  and
• 24:21
  then
• 24:21
  turn
• 24:22
  it
• 24:22
  into
• 24:22
  like
• 24:22
  a
• 24:22
  joke.
• 24:22
  And
• 24:23
  you
• 24:23
  know,
• 24:23
  the
• 24:23
  thing
• 24:24
  sees
• 24:24
  him
• 24:24
  and
• 24:25
  he's
• 24:25
  like,
• 24:25
  hey,
• 24:25
  man,
• 24:26
  you
• 24:26
  think
• 24:26
  you
• 24:26
  got
• 24:26
  problems?
• 24:27
  And
• 24:27
  that's
• 24:27
  how
• 24:27
  the
• 24:27
  scene
• 24:28
  starts.
• 24:28
  And
• 24:28
  then
• 24:28
  it
• 24:28
  leads
• 24:29
  to,
• 24:29
  you
• 24:29
  know,
• 24:30
  him
• 24:30
  trying
• 24:30
  to
• 24:30
  get
• 24:30
  to
• 24:30
  the.
• 24:31
  And
• 24:31
  yes.
• 24:32
  And
• 24:32
  then
• 24:32
  it
• 24:32
  just
• 24:32
  escalates
• 24:33
  from
• 24:33
  there.
• 24:33
  And
• 24:33
  I
• 24:33
  was
• 24:33
  like,
• 24:34
  God,
• 24:34
  you
• 24:34
  just
• 24:34
  started
• 24:35
  that
• 24:35
  with
• 24:35
  like,
• 24:36
  you
• 24:36
  know,
• 24:36
  a
• 24:36
  suicide
• 24:37
  scene
• 24:37
  and
• 24:37
  you
• 24:37
  turned
• 24:37
  that
• 24:38
  into
• 24:38
  a
• 24:38
  joke.
• 24:38
  And
• 24:39
  oh
• 24:39
  my
• 24:39
  gosh,
• 24:40
  it's
• 24:40
  just
• 24:40
  so
• 24:40
  bad.
• 24:41
  And
• 24:41
  like
• 24:41
  you
• 24:41
  said
• 24:42
  the
• 24:42
  underwear
• 24:42
  stuff
• 24:43
  with
• 24:43
  sue
• 24:44
  just
• 24:44
  reducing
• 24:45
  her
• 24:45
  to,
• 24:46
  you
• 24:47
  know,
• 24:47
  just
• 24:48
  like
• 24:48
  her
• 24:48
  looks
• 24:48
  and
• 24:49
  everything.
• 24:50
  So
• 24:50
  many
• 24:51
  cringy
• 24:51
  elements.
• 24:53
  Yeah,
• 24:53
  it's
• 24:53
  just.
• 24:54
  Oof.
• 24:55
  It's
• 24:55
  a.
• 24:55
  This
• 24:56
  was
• 24:56
  a.
• 24:56
  Like
• 24:56
  I
• 24:57
  said,
• 24:57
  11
• 24:58
  year
• 24:58
  old
• 24:58
  me
• 24:58
  was
• 24:58
  very
• 24:59
  excited.
• 24:59
  And
• 24:59
  I
• 24:59
  think
• 24:59
  like.
• 25:00
  And
• 25:00
  I
• 25:00
  think
• 25:00
  even
• 25:01
  then,
• 25:01
  like,
• 25:02
  did
• 25:02
  I.
• 25:02
  I
• 25:03
  think
• 25:03
  I
• 25:03
  knew
• 25:03
  intuitively,
• 25:04
  oh,
• 25:04
  this
• 25:05
  movie
• 25:05
  is
• 25:05
  not
• 25:05
  anywhere
• 25:05
  near
• 25:06
  as
• 25:06
  good
• 25:06
  as
• 25:06
  Spider
• 25:06
  Man
• 25:07
  2
• 25:07
  or,
• 25:07
  you
• 25:08
  know,
• 25:08
  Superman
• 25:08
  78
• 25:09
  or
• 25:09
  anything
• 25:09
  like
• 25:09
  that.
• 25:10
  But
• 25:11
  you
• 25:11
  know,
• 25:11
  I
• 25:11
  guess
• 25:12
  it
• 25:12
  scratched
• 25:12
  an
• 25:12
  itch
• 25:13
  for
• 25:13
  me.
• 25:14
  I
• 25:14
  was
• 25:14
  still
• 25:14
  you
• 25:15
  know,
• 25:15
  into
• 25:15
  the
• 25:15
  characters
• 25:16
  and
• 25:16
  stuff.
• 25:16
  But
• 25:17
  I
• 25:17
  think
• 25:17
  even
• 25:17
  at
• 25:18
  that
• 25:18
  age
• 25:18
  I
• 25:18
  was
• 25:18
  like,
• 25:18
  yeah,
• 25:19
  this
• 25:19
  isn't
• 25:19
  that
• 25:19
  good,
• 25:19
  you
• 25:20
  know.
• 25:21
  Yeah.
• 25:21
  And,
• 25:22
  and
• 25:22
  one
• 25:23
  thing
• 25:23
  that
• 25:24
  I
• 25:24
  wanted
• 25:24
  to
• 25:24
  ask
• 25:25
  was
• 25:26
  I
• 25:26
  knew
• 25:26
  about
• 25:27
  the
• 25:27
  characters
• 25:29
  their,
• 25:30
  in
• 25:30
  their
• 25:30
  story
• 25:31
  and,
• 25:32
  but,
• 25:33
  but
• 25:33
  I
• 25:34
  was
• 25:34
  surprised
• 25:35
  how
• 25:35
  much
• 25:36
  just
• 25:37
  the
• 25:37
  lack
• 25:37
  of
• 25:37
  connectivity
• 25:38
  to
• 25:38
  the
• 25:39
  Marvel
• 25:39
  universe.
• 25:41
  I
• 25:41
  don't
• 25:41
  know
• 25:41
  that
• 25:42
  if
• 25:42
  it's
• 25:42
  that
• 25:42
  I'm
• 25:43
  so
• 25:43
  used
• 25:43
  to
• 25:44
  the
• 25:44
  newer
• 25:45
  Marvel
• 25:45
  films
• 25:46
  that
• 25:46
  they
• 25:46
  will
• 25:47
  connect
• 25:47
  to
• 25:47
  it
• 25:47
  or
• 25:47
  not.
• 25:48
  But
• 25:48
  did
• 25:49
  you
• 25:49
  see
• 25:49
  stuff
• 25:50
  that.
• 25:51
  No.
• 25:52
  And
• 25:52
  that's
• 25:52
  a
• 25:52
  really
• 25:53
  good,
• 25:53
  It's
• 25:54
  a
• 25:54
  really
• 25:54
  good
• 25:54
  point
• 25:54
  too
• 25:55
  because,
• 25:55
  you
• 25:55
  know,
• 25:56
  this
• 25:56
  was
• 25:56
  owned
• 25:56
  by
• 25:57
  Fox,
• 25:57
  so
• 25:57
  still
• 25:57
  in
• 25:58
  the
• 25:58
  X
• 25:58
  Men
• 25:58
  universe.
• 25:58
  And
• 25:59
  it
• 25:59
  was
• 25:59
  at
• 25:59
  the
• 26:00
  time
• 26:00
  where,
• 26:01
  you
• 26:01
  know,
• 26:01
  Marvel
• 26:02
  characters
• 26:02
  were
• 26:02
  all
• 26:03
  owned
• 26:03
  by
• 26:04
  different
• 26:04
  companies.
• 26:05
  So
• 26:05
  it
• 26:05
  is
• 26:06
  well
• 26:06
  before
• 26:06
  the
• 26:06
  mcu.
• 26:07
  And
• 26:07
  you
• 26:08
  know,
• 26:08
  because,
• 26:08
  you
• 26:08
  know,
• 26:09
  for
• 26:09
  those
• 26:09
  who
• 26:09
  don't
• 26:10
  know,
• 26:10
  like
• 26:10
  in
• 26:10
  the
• 26:10
  90s,
• 26:11
  Marvel
• 26:11
  was
• 26:11
  on
• 26:12
  the
• 26:12
  verge
• 26:12
  of.
• 26:12
  Verge
• 26:12
  of
• 26:13
  bankruptcy
• 26:13
  and
• 26:13
  that's
• 26:13
  why
• 26:14
  they
• 26:14
  sold
• 26:14
  the
• 26:14
  rights
• 26:15
  to
• 26:15
  some
• 26:15
  of
• 26:15
  their
• 26:15
  major
• 26:15
  characters
• 26:16
  to
• 26:16
  other
• 26:16
  studios.
• 26:17
  So
• 26:17
  Fox
• 26:18
  had
• 26:18
  X
• 26:18
  Men
• 26:19
  and
• 26:19
  Fantastic
• 26:19
  Four,
• 26:20
  Sony
• 26:21
  had
• 26:21
  Spider
• 26:21
  man,
• 26:22
  etc.
• 26:22
  And
• 26:23
  so,
• 26:23
  but
• 26:24
  what's
• 26:24
  interesting
• 26:24
  though
• 26:25
  is
• 26:25
  even
• 26:25
  in
• 26:25
  Spider
• 26:26
  man,
• 26:26
  even
• 26:26
  when
• 26:26
  they
• 26:27
  didn't
• 26:27
  own
• 26:27
  the
• 26:27
  rights
• 26:27
  to
• 26:28
  all
• 26:28
  the
• 26:28
  characters,
• 26:28
  they
• 26:29
  still
• 26:29
  name
• 26:29
  drop
• 26:29
  stuff.
• 26:30
  So
• 26:30
  like
• 26:30
  In
• 26:30
  Spider
• 26:31
  Man
• 26:31
  2,
• 26:32
  they
• 26:33
  like
• 26:33
  when
• 26:34
  there's
• 26:34
  a
• 26:35
  famous
• 26:35
  joke
• 26:36
  about
• 26:36
  when
• 26:37
  J.
• 26:37
  Jonah
• 26:37
  Jameson
• 26:38
  and
• 26:38
  his
• 26:38
  assistant
• 26:39
  are
• 26:39
  trying
• 26:39
  to
• 26:39
  name
• 26:39
  Doc
• 26:40
  Ock,
• 26:40
  they're
• 26:41
  like
• 26:41
  throwing
• 26:41
  out
• 26:41
  names
• 26:42
  and
• 26:42
  his
• 26:42
  assistant
• 26:43
  is
• 26:43
  like
• 26:44
  Dr.
• 26:44
  Strange.
• 26:44
  You
• 26:45
  know,
• 26:45
  he's
• 26:45
  like,
• 26:45
  that's
• 26:45
  pretty
• 26:46
  good.
• 26:46
  But
• 26:46
  it's
• 26:46
  taken,
• 26:46
  you
• 26:47
  know,
• 26:47
  like.
• 26:47
  So
• 26:47
  they
• 26:48
  do
• 26:48
  little
• 26:48
  winks
• 26:48
  like
• 26:49
  that.
• 26:50
  That
• 26:50
  were
• 26:50
  fun.
• 26:51
  You
• 26:51
  know,
• 26:51
  they.
• 26:51
  I
• 26:52
  say
• 26:52
  they
• 26:52
  couldn't,
• 26:52
  you
• 26:53
  know,
• 26:53
  officially
• 26:54
  have
• 26:54
  the
• 26:54
  rights
• 26:54
  to
• 26:54
  a
• 26:54
  lot
• 26:55
  of
• 26:55
  characters
• 26:55
  and
• 26:55
  set
• 26:55
  up
• 26:55
  movies,
• 26:56
  but
• 26:56
  there
• 26:56
  were
• 26:57
  still
• 26:57
  nods
• 26:57
  to
• 26:58
  let
• 26:58
  you
• 26:58
  know
• 26:58
  that
• 26:58
  they
• 26:58
  were,
• 26:59
  you
• 26:59
  know,
• 26:59
  part
• 26:59
  of
• 27:00
  a
• 27:00
  large
• 27:00
  universe.
• 27:00
  No,
• 27:01
  this
• 27:01
  one,
• 27:02
  I
• 27:02
  could
• 27:02
  not
• 27:02
  catch
• 27:03
  any
• 27:03
  references
• 27:05
  to
• 27:05
  anything
• 27:05
  else,
• 27:05
  like,
• 27:06
  other
• 27:06
  than
• 27:06
  anything
• 27:07
  in
• 27:07
  Fantastic
• 27:07
  Four
• 27:07
  universe.
• 27:08
  So
• 27:08
  like
• 27:08
  they
• 27:09
  set
• 27:09
  up
• 27:09
  Doom
• 27:10
  going
• 27:10
  back
• 27:10
  to
• 27:10
  Latin
• 27:11
  varia
• 27:12
  at
• 27:12
  the
• 27:12
  end
• 27:12
  of
• 27:12
  the
• 27:12
  movie
• 27:13
  and
• 27:13
  stuff
• 27:13
  like
• 27:13
  that.
• 27:14
  But
• 27:14
  no,
• 27:14
  other
• 27:14
  than.
• 27:14
  I
• 27:15
  mean,
• 27:15
  yeah,
• 27:15
  there's
• 27:16
  not.
• 27:16
  And
• 27:16
  there's
• 27:16
  not
• 27:16
  even
• 27:17
  like
• 27:17
  a
• 27:17
  hint
• 27:17
  of
• 27:17
  Galactus
• 27:18
  or
• 27:18
  Silver
• 27:19
  Surfer
• 27:19
  we
• 27:19
  see
• 27:19
  in
• 27:20
  the
• 27:20
  next
• 27:20
  one.
• 27:21
  So,
• 27:21
  you
• 27:21
  know,
• 27:21
  it's
• 27:21
  very
• 27:21
  contained
• 27:22
  there.
• 27:22
  There's
• 27:22
  no
• 27:23
  talk
• 27:23
  of
• 27:23
  other
• 27:24
  superheroes
• 27:24
  or
• 27:24
  anything,
• 27:25
  which
• 27:25
  is
• 27:26
  interesting.
• 27:27
  All
• 27:27
  right.
• 27:27
  Yeah,
• 27:28
  I
• 27:28
  was
• 27:28
  wondering
• 27:29
  about
• 27:29
  that
• 27:29
  because.
• 27:30
  Yeah,
• 27:30
  that
• 27:31
  felt
• 27:31
  off
• 27:31
  to
• 27:31
  me
• 27:32
  too.
• 27:32
  Right,
• 27:33
  right.
• 27:33
  And
• 27:34
  especially
• 27:34
  when
• 27:34
  you're
• 27:34
  so
• 27:35
  used
• 27:35
  to
• 27:35
  an
• 27:36
  MCU
• 27:36
  world,
• 27:36
  it's
• 27:37
  very
• 27:37
  weird
• 27:37
  looking
• 27:38
  at
• 27:38
  early
• 27:38
  2000s
• 27:39
  comic
• 27:40
  book
• 27:40
  movies
• 27:40
  that
• 27:41
  just
• 27:41
  didn't
• 27:41
  have
• 27:41
  that
• 27:42
  Interconnected
• 27:42
  universe.
• 27:43
  So
• 27:44
  yeah.
• 27:44
  So
• 27:45
  anyway,
• 27:46
  that
• 27:46
  is
• 27:46
  fantastic
• 27:47
  for
• 27:47
  2005
• 27:47
  for
• 27:48
  you.
• 27:49
  You
• 27:49
  know,
• 27:49
  again,
• 27:49
  this
• 27:50
  is
• 27:50
  a
• 27:50
  really
• 27:50
  fun
• 27:51
  series.
• 27:51
  I
• 27:52
  much
• 27:52
  enjoy
• 27:53
  looking
• 27:53
  at
• 27:54
  B
• 27:54
  movies
• 27:54
  that
• 27:55
  some
• 27:55
  I
• 27:55
  think
• 27:56
  are
• 27:56
  much
• 27:57
  better
• 27:57
  in
• 27:57
  hindsight
• 27:58
  than
• 27:58
  they
• 27:58
  deserve.
• 27:59
  I
• 27:59
  don't
• 27:59
  know
• 27:59
  that
• 27:59
  this
• 27:59
  is
• 28:00
  one
• 28:00
  of
• 28:00
  them.
• 28:00
  I
• 28:00
  think
• 28:00
  this
• 28:00
  is,
• 28:01
  you
• 28:01
  know,
• 28:01
  maybe
• 28:02
  like.
• 28:02
  I
• 28:02
  don't
• 28:02
  know
• 28:02
  if
• 28:02
  I
• 28:03
  would
• 28:03
  give
• 28:03
  it
• 28:03
  like
• 28:04
  as
• 28:04
  low
• 28:04
  a
• 28:04
  rating.
• 28:05
  Again,
• 28:05
  I
• 28:05
  do
• 28:05
  think
• 28:06
  it's
• 28:06
  better
• 28:06
  than
• 28:06
  the
• 28:06
  second
• 28:06
  one.
• 28:07
  I
• 28:07
  will
• 28:07
  say
• 28:07
  that
• 28:08
  I
• 28:08
  think
• 28:08
  the
• 28:08
  like
• 28:09
  Rise
• 28:09
  of
• 28:09
  the
• 28:09
  Silver
• 28:09
  Surfer,
• 28:10
  other
• 28:10
  than
• 28:11
  the
• 28:11
  depiction
• 28:11
  of
• 28:11
  Silver
• 28:12
  Surfer,
• 28:12
  I
• 28:12
  think
• 28:13
  is
• 28:13
  a
• 28:13
  terrible
• 28:13
  movie
• 28:14
  and
• 28:14
  it
• 28:14
  deserves
• 28:15
  infinitely
• 28:15
  less
• 28:16
  points
• 28:16
  just
• 28:17
  for
• 28:17
  the
• 28:18
  galactus
• 28:19
  cloud
• 28:19
  that
• 28:19
  we
• 28:20
  all
• 28:20
  had
• 28:20
  to
• 28:20
  suffer
• 28:20
  through
• 28:20
  and
• 28:21
  be
• 28:21
  disappointed
• 28:21
  by,
• 28:22
  especially
• 28:23
  when
• 28:23
  we
• 28:23
  were
• 28:23
  sitting
• 28:24
  there
• 28:24
  in
• 28:24
  the
• 28:24
  theater.
• 28:25
  But.
• 28:26
  But
• 28:26
  yeah,
• 28:27
  this
• 28:27
  is
• 28:27
  by
• 28:27
  far
• 28:28
  not
• 28:28
  that
• 28:28
  one,
• 28:28
  guys.
• 28:29
  I
• 28:29
  like
• 28:29
  to
• 28:29
  say
• 28:29
  there
• 28:29
  are
• 28:30
  elements
• 28:30
  I
• 28:30
  like,
• 28:31
  particularly
• 28:32
  Michael
• 28:32
  Chiklis's
• 28:34
  portrayal
• 28:34
  of
• 28:34
  the
• 28:35
  thing,
• 28:36
  you
• 28:36
  know,
• 28:36
  some
• 28:36
  of
• 28:36
  the
• 28:37
  diet,
• 28:37
  group
• 28:37
  dynamics,
• 28:38
  stuff
• 28:38
  like
• 28:38
  that.
• 28:38
  But
• 28:38
  overall
• 28:40
  a
• 28:40
  terrible
• 28:41
  script.
• 28:41
  A
• 28:42
  lot
• 28:42
  of
• 28:42
  really
• 28:42
  cringy.
• 28:43
  Not
• 28:43
  just
• 28:44
  one
• 28:44
  liners,
• 28:44
  but
• 28:45
  dialogue
• 28:46
  and
• 28:46
  character
• 28:46
  dynamics
• 28:47
  and
• 28:48
  you
• 28:48
  know,
• 28:49
  and
• 28:49
  the
• 28:49
  special
• 28:49
  effects
• 28:50
  are
• 28:50
  really
• 28:50
  outdated.
• 28:51
  It
• 28:51
  does
• 28:51
  not
• 28:51
  hold
• 28:52
  up
• 28:52
  great.
• 28:53
  That
• 28:53
  said,
• 28:53
  I
• 28:53
  will
• 28:54
  end
• 28:54
  this
• 28:54
  on
• 28:54
  just
• 28:54
  to
• 28:55
  end
• 28:55
  it.
• 28:55
  Evan,
• 28:56
  even
• 28:56
  with
• 28:56
  all
• 28:57
  that
• 28:57
  said,
• 28:58
  would
• 28:58
  you
• 28:58
  like
• 28:59
  to
• 28:59
  see
• 28:59
  these
• 28:59
  characters
• 29:00
  at
• 29:01
  least
• 29:01
  have
• 29:01
  a
• 29:01
  cameo
• 29:02
  in
• 29:02
  let's
• 29:03
  say
• 29:03
  Secret
• 29:03
  wars,
• 29:04
  you
• 29:04
  know.
• 29:04
  Oh
• 29:04
  man,
• 29:05
  that
• 29:05
  would
• 29:05
  be
• 29:05
  a
• 29:06
  blast.
• 29:06
  That
• 29:06
  would
• 29:07
  be
• 29:07
  so.
• 29:07
  Yeah,
• 29:08
  yeah.
• 29:09
  Seeing
• 29:11
  just
• 29:12
  the.
• 29:12
  Well,
• 29:13
  well,
• 29:14
  well,
• 29:14
  they
• 29:14
  kind
• 29:15
  of
• 29:15
  did
• 29:15
  it
• 29:15
  already
• 29:15
  in.
• 29:16
  They've
• 29:16
  done.
• 29:19
  Yes,
• 29:19
  exactly.
• 29:20
  So,
• 29:20
  so
• 29:21
  we
• 29:21
  have
• 29:21
  seen
• 29:22
  this
• 29:22
  for
• 29:22
  sure,
• 29:22
  Johnny,
• 29:23
  once.
• 29:23
  But
• 29:24
  I
• 29:24
  would
• 29:24
  love
• 29:25
  to
• 29:25
  see
• 29:25
  the
• 29:25
  others.
• 29:25
  It
• 29:25
  would
• 29:26
  be.
• 29:26
  I
• 29:26
  mean
• 29:26
  technically
• 29:27
  they're
• 29:27
  dead
• 29:27
  in
• 29:27
  that
• 29:28
  movie,
• 29:28
  but
• 29:28
  still.
• 29:29
  I
• 29:29
  mean
• 29:29
  it's
• 29:30
  the
• 29:30
  multiverse.
• 29:30
  They
• 29:30
  can
• 29:31
  do
• 29:31
  whatever
• 29:31
  they
• 29:31
  want.
• 29:32
  But
• 29:33
  it
• 29:33
  would
• 29:33
  be
• 29:33
  pretty
• 29:34
  funny
• 29:34
  if
• 29:34
  we
• 29:34
  saw
• 29:34
  these
• 29:35
  characters
• 29:35
  just
• 29:35
  like,
• 29:36
  just
• 29:36
  to
• 29:36
  show
• 29:37
  up.
• 29:37
  I.
• 29:37
  It
• 29:37
  would
• 29:37
  be
• 29:38
  entertaining
• 29:39
  and,
• 29:39
  and,
• 29:40
  and.
• 29:40
  That
• 29:41
  would
• 29:41
  be
• 29:41
  funny
• 29:41
  to
• 29:41
  see
• 29:42
  the
• 29:42
  thing
• 29:43
  and
• 29:43
  they
• 29:44
  make
• 29:44
  a
• 29:44
  comment
• 29:45
  on
• 29:45
  the
• 29:45
  CG
• 29:46
  version
• 29:47
  compared
• 29:48
  to
• 29:48
  the,
• 29:48
  to
• 29:49
  the
• 29:49
  practical
• 29:50
  effects
• 29:51
  version.
• 29:51
  That
• 29:51
  will
• 29:52
  be
• 29:52
  funny,
• 29:52
  I
• 29:52
  think.
• 29:53
  I
• 29:54
  love
• 29:54
  it.
• 29:54
  I
• 29:54
  love
• 29:54
  it.
• 29:55
  Awesome.
• 29:56
  Well,
• 29:56
  Evan,
• 29:57
  as
• 29:57
  always,
• 29:57
  this
• 29:57
  is
• 29:57
  a
• 29:57
  pleasure
• 29:58
  doing.
• 29:58
  And
• 29:58
  just
• 29:59
  as
• 29:59
  a
• 29:59
  wrap
• 29:59
  up,
• 30:00
  if
• 30:01
  you
• 30:01

• 30:01
  any
• 30:02
  holiday
• 30:02
  themed
• 30:02
  snack
• 30:03
  or
• 30:03
  candy
• 30:03
  with
• 30:03
  you
• 30:04
  to
• 30:04
  the
• 30:04
  drive
• 30:05
  in
• 30:05
  for
• 30:05
  a
• 30:06
  movie
• 30:06
  like
• 30:06
  this,
• 30:06
  what
• 30:06
  would
• 30:07
  it
• 30:07
  be
• 30:07
  for
• 30:07
  a
• 30:07
  summer
• 30:08
  holiday
• 30:08
  version?
• 30:09
  Oh
• 30:09
  yeah.
• 30:12
  No.
• 30:12
  What,
• 30:13
  what,
• 30:13
  what
• 30:14
  were
• 30:14
  you
• 30:14
  going
• 30:14
  to
• 30:14
  say?
• 30:14
  Sorry.
• 30:15
  Oh
• 30:15
  no.
• 30:15
  Just
• 30:16
  like
• 30:16
  summer
• 30:16
  holiday.
• 30:17
  Yeah,
• 30:17
  yeah,
• 30:19
  yeah,
• 30:19
  yeah.
• 30:21
  Well,
• 30:22
  the
• 30:22
  first
• 30:23
  thing
• 30:23
  that,
• 30:23
  that,
• 30:24
  that
• 30:25
  that
• 30:25
  comes
• 30:26
  to
• 30:26
  mind
• 30:26
  is
• 30:26
  a
• 30:26
  Slurpee,
• 30:27
  so
• 30:28
  love
• 30:28
  a
• 30:28
  good.
• 30:29
  A
• 30:29
  Fantastic
• 30:29
  Four
• 30:31
  Ben
• 30:31
  Grimm
• 30:31
  flavored
• 30:32
  orange
• 30:32
  Slurpees.
• 30:33
  Man,
• 30:33
  that's
• 30:34
  a
• 30:34
  good
• 30:34
  because
• 30:34
  I
• 30:34
  would
• 30:34
  say
• 30:35
  icy
• 30:35
  like
• 30:36
  that.
• 30:36
  I
• 30:36
  used
• 30:36
  to
• 30:36
  like
• 30:37
  devour
• 30:37
  those
• 30:37
  as
• 30:38
  a
• 30:38
  kid
• 30:38
  so
• 30:38
  especially
• 30:39
  like
• 30:39
  going
• 30:40
  to
• 30:40

• 30:42
  like
• 30:43
  that
• 30:44
  man
• 30:44
  that's
• 30:44
  what
• 30:45
  I
• 30:45
  was.
• 30:45
  Thinking
• 30:45
  because
• 30:46
  yeah
• 30:46
  because
• 30:47
  I
• 30:47
  used
• 30:47
  to
• 30:47
  ride
• 30:47
  my
• 30:48
  bike
• 30:48
  to
• 30:48
  the
• 30:48
  711
• 30:49
  and
• 30:49
  stuff
• 30:49
  like
• 30:49
  that
• 30:49
  so
• 30:50
  yeah,
• 30:50
  yeah,
• 30:51
  yeah.
• 30:51
  Awesome.
• 30:52
