Transcript
- 0:02Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
- 0:06rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, April 28th.
- 0:11Seen, secure and strengthened, it can hurt to feel unseen.
- 0:15Maybe you are doing your best and no one notices.
- 0:18Maybe you are struggling quietly and no one asks.
- 0:22Maybe you made the right choice, but it felt like it did not
- 0:24matter. Proverbs chapter 15 verse 3 says
- 0:28the eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on
- 0:31the evil and the good. God sees nothing about your life
- 0:35is hidden from Him. That truth can convict us
- 0:38because God sees the private choices too, but it can also
- 0:42comfort us deeply. He sees your tears.
- 0:45He sees your effort. He sees the temptation you
- 0:48resisted, the prayer you whispered, and the burden you
- 0:51carried silently. Psalm 48 verse 8 speaks of God
- 0:55establishing His city forever, reminding us that His presence
- 0:59is steady and secure. Romans chapter 13 verse 12 says
- 1:03the night is far gone, the day is at hand.
- 1:07So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the
- 1:10armor of light. Since God sees us and keeps us,
- 1:13we are called to live differently.
- 1:15Not hiding in darkness, not pretending, not feeding habits
- 1:20that pull us away from Him. We belong to the light and
- 1:23Proverbs chapter 15 verse 4 adds that a gentle tongue is a tree
- 1:27of life. That means living in the light
- 1:29effects how we speak. Seen by God, secured by God and
- 1:33strengthened by God, we can become people who bring life
- 1:36instead of harm. Today remember this, you are not
- 1:39overlooked. God sees you with perfect
- 1:43clarity and steady love. Let that truth give you courage
- 1:46to let go of darkness and walk in the light.
- 1:48Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
- 1:51seeing me completely. Help me find comfort in Your
- 1:55presence and courage in Your truth.
- 1:57Show me anything dark that I need to lay aside and strengthen
- 2:00me to walk in Your light. Let my words bring life and let
- 2:04my choices reflect that I belong to You in Jesus name, Amen.
- 2:11What if you could rise up and declare with full spiritual
- 2:14authority, I shall not die, but live?

- 3:09Now I invite you to spend time with God in today's three-year
- 3:12Bible reading plan. Proverbs Chapter 15 Verses 3 to
- 3:174 World English Bible Yahweh's eyes are everywhere, keeping
- 3:22watch on the evil and the good. A gentle tongue is a tree of
- 3:26life, but deceit in it crushes the spirit.
- 3:29Psalm Chapter 48 World English Bible a song, a Psalm by the
- 3:34sons of Korah. Great is Yahweh, and greatly to
- 3:37be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain,
- 3:42beautiful in elevation. The joy of the whole earth is
- 3:44Mount Zion on the north sides, the city of the great King.
- 3:48God has shown himself in her citadels as a refuge.
- 3:52For behold, the kings assembled themselves.
- 3:54They passed by together. They saw it.
- 3:56Then they were amazed, they were dismayed.
- 3:59They hurried away, trembling, took hold of them.
- 4:02There pain as of a woman in travail.
- 4:05With the east wind you break the ships of Tarshish, as we have
- 4:09heard. So we have seen in the city of
- 4:11Yahweh of armies, in the city of our God.
- 4:14God will establish it forever. Selah.
- 4:17We have thought about your loving kindness, God, in the
- 4:20middle of your temple. As is your name God, so is your
- 4:23praise to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is full of
- 4:26righteousness. Let Mount Zion be glad.
- 4:30Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your
- 4:32judgments. Walk about Zion and go around
- 4:35her number, its towers. Notice her bulwarks, consider
- 4:39her palaces, that you may tell it to the next generation.
- 4:42For this God is our God forever and ever.
- 4:44He will be our guide even to death.
- 4:47Romans Chapter 13 World English Bible Let every soul be in
- 4:52subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no
- 4:55authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by
- 4:59God. Therefore he who resists the
- 5:02authority withstands the ordinance of God, and those who
- 5:05withstand will receive to themselves judgement.
- 5:08For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil.
- 5:12Do you desire to have No Fear of the authority?
- 5:15Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the
- 5:18authority. For he is a servant of God to
- 5:20you for good. But if you do that which is
- 5:23evil, be afraid, for he doesn't bear the sword in vain.
- 5:26For he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who
- 5:30does evil. Therefore you need to be in
- 5:32subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for
- 5:36conscience sake. For this reason you also pay
- 5:39taxes, for they are servants of God's service, continually doing
- 5:43this very thing. Therefore give everyone what you
- 5:47owe. If you owe taxes, pay taxes.
- 5:50If customs, then customs. If respect, then respect.
- 5:53If honor, then honor. Oh no, when anything except to
- 5:57love one another. For he who loves his neighbor
- 6:00has fulfilled the law for the commandments.
- 6:03You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall
- 6:06not steal, you shall not covet, and whatever other commandments
- 6:10there are are all summed up in the saying, namely, you shall
- 6:14love your neighbor as yourself. Love doesn't harm a neighbor.
- 6:18Love, therefore, is the fulfillment of the law.
- 6:21Do this knowing the time that it is already time for you to
- 6:25awaken out of sleep. For salvation is now nearer to
- 6:28us than when we first believed. The night is far gone and the
- 6:32day is near. Let's therefore throw off the
- 6:35deeds of darkness and let's put on the armor of light.
- 6:39Let's walk properly as in the day, not in reveling and
- 6:42drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts,
- 6:46and not in strife and jealousy, but put on the Lord Jesus Christ
- 6:50and make no provision for the flesh for its lusts.
