GreenWise Blueberries Recalled for E. coli | Charleston News
FDA just upgraded a recall on GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries to the highest risk level—Class One—due to E. coli contamination that could cause serious illness. Twelve people across Florida and Georgia have gotten sick, four hospitalized, with no deaths reported. The recall now covers all lots of these blueberries and some mixed berries sold at Publix in eight states. Symptoms like severe stomach cramps, bloody diarrhea, and vomiting can appear 3–4 days after exposure, potentially leading to kidney damage.
